Miami - Several Florida students defy coronavirus guidelines with large parties

"Students at Florida universities are in hot water. They held large parties and didn't wear masks and they were crowded. Parties to police have arrested 11 students after a Florida State University frat party. The University of Miami blames dorm room parties for a covert 19 outbreak there. Some students have been kicked out. And in Fort Meyers, the president of Florida, Gulf Coast University, has threatened to campus shut down after two big parties student Caitlin Snook. Some Conferences Are Determined: There Will Be College Football This Fall

"There There will will be be college college football football this this fall. fall. Maybe Maybe that that is is the the message message this this week week from from some some top top football football schools schools and and conferences. conferences. It It comes comes after after two two powerhouse powerhouse conferences. conferences. The Big 10 in the Pac 12 announced they were canceling their full seasons because of the Corona virus. NPR's Greg Allen reports how colleges that are planning to play hope to protect the health of their athletes. Even many hard core college football fans are skeptical how Khun well over 100 people on a typical team training play without spreading the Corona virus, possibly shutting down the season this week, three of the top conferences, the SEC, the SEC and the Big 12 said their plans this fall to play and do so safely. John Thrasher is president of Florida State University, which is part of the Atlantic Coast Conference. And what we frankly want to send is a message to some of the other schools that may be teetering on whether or not to play football. We think it's a bit in the best interest of our student athletes. For us to play football. We could do it safely and we can do it productively for them for fans, athletes and the multi $1,000,000,000 sports entertainment complex built around college football things looked bleak Tuesday. Two major conferences, The Big 10 in the Pac 12 canceled their fall schedules because of the uncertainty and health risk surrounding the Corona virus. The announcement by the remaining three of the power five conferences that they would have a fall season came after athletes began a hashtag. We want to play movement on social media. So being here with my team, and all of us together is the safest forth. The college conferences are pushing back the start of their seasons to give them extra time to get ready and perhaps learn from the experiences of other sports. Putting players inside a bubble like the N BA has done in Orlando isn't feasible for student athletes who live on campus and have to attend classes. University of Miami coach Manny Diaz believes college football can learn from the English soccer leagues, which resumed play in June. Without fans with so much at stake. He believes his athletes will be careful. They're aware that they've got to keep their bubble small. They understand the value of what a mask doesn't and who that protection If you're around people who don't have mass on, you've got to find another place to be, but with all that there's risk and going ahead with the college football season. One concern that was reportedly a factor in the decision of some conferences to postpone play is new information about a heart condition. My card is that has been linked to the Corona virus. It's an inflammation of the heart that can lead to long term problems. Announcing its decision to play the Big 12 conference, said any players who test positive for the Corona virus would receive an E K g echocardiogram, cardiac Emery and further heart tests before returning to play. Gabe Feldman, the director of the Sports Law program at Tulane University in New Orleans, says If the schools are transparent and take the right precautions he thinks they can play. Every school in the athletic department has to be very clear with all of their athletes. About what the risks are and what the unknowns are. And then the athletes have to have a choice. It's one thing to play. But can there be fans in the stadium? University of Florida athletic director Scott Strickland says he hopes so We want to be on a have fans, and we hope we're in a position to do that. But you see, this is the NFL season now starts earlier than ours, and A lot of NFL teams and still have a made determinations. Yet that could be the riskiest. Part of all some schools were opposing plans that would limit attendance to 25% of a stadium's capacity, which would still bring together a huge crowd of 20,000 or more cheering, screaming fans. Says we says, we all watched the the horrific murder of a of a citizen by by discussing human being police officer. How do we? How do we not take that as anything other than a threat of actual violence based on recent history? Therein. Lies The question that I would poses that to go along with remarks you know who who exactly is going to do is A. Government. It's a radical leaders. Of States counties, cities, whatever. Or is it going to be people for people? We have. What did you just leave knowing? When you just gotTa love the irony that the Minnesota governor had the balls to ask the white. House for for bailout money after they let their city burn. I, mean, I understand there are citizens that were affected by that. But you know my argument would be well I'll tell you what once you spend the money that you say from you know. From dissolving your police. Believe. Yeah what you spend that money go ahead. Save yourself though you know the. Four hundred million dollars spent annually on your police force. Etc.. And They're not gonNA, pass it out. There's a blank check to the people because well, you know we don't get our tax money that way. Exactly. HAVE YOUR IS A. Stalemate along the lines of. City Minneapolis Saint Paul's which Is Looking for a five hundred dollar bill out the government's GONNA help. They're going to have to get that money somewhere. Well exactly and the question. Phoenix afraid now, but to answer your question or respond to your statement. I believe you said they're not gonNA raise taxes through the roof to do it. Of course, they will. Of course they will in turn. Bring. I. That's. That's a real trick. Isn't is when the IRS gets involved or whatever State Department revenue they have comes and starts locking people up the people sheepishly combine. and. The guy will probably get reelected. Let's be honest. Well you will probably see. You'll probably see something for the cities that were affected by riots and everything put into like a another stimulus bill passed by the house. Like they have added that money there you go to a legal and yeah. And everything else that I wouldn't put it past the House to sit there and add a piece in there that every city that was affected by these riots or has hardships now. Get X. amount of. Millions of dollars as part of this. Bill to. Help, stimulate the economy and the people that actually are affected by all this. That, it should be helping they'll put their. Claws into it and put. Extra things that won't matter, and then it'll sit there and argue back and forth between the House, and the Senate for God knows how long Because they won't budge on wasn't it? Well one thing you have to love about the strategy employed by the Democrats they're gonNA. They're gonNA try to stick it in something that make the president look bad if he vetoes it. Oh. Yeah. It'll be. It'll be some sort of. Bill and he'll have to it, and then they'll scream how he doesn't care about children. Exactly among the media will be all over it. Media will be all over at bashing him. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. The president doesn't care about the future. There for the last four years anyway. Well Yeah they've they've. It's funny. I. Yeah I was GONNA say I. Johnson and Nixon for sure. But you know twenty I hear people talking about Oh. Trump won't accept the results of the twenty twenty election loses you guys still haven't accepted the fact that you're get forty. Or the fact that impeachment failed yeah. Yeah the. Everything else. Rono. Everything else that you've thrown at them hasn't stuck. Exactly this is. This is reality you know this is not theory. All this stuff is happened. You know. I saw something today and I don't remember where it was talking about the reason that you know that. They want to sit there and blame trump for not being ready for this pandemic and everything was because the other half of the fence was sitting there. So busy trying to get him out for the last four years that he couldn't take time to focus. On being prepared for anything like that. The funny part is, is I I'm trying. I'm trying to I'm I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of hearing how Trump getting the blame for a hundred and thirty thousand body bags. Here this is this is the thing we need to do things. We need to change the story number one it should be only a hundred, thirty, thousand, five bags why? If if anybody recalls I do specifically PURDIS MR TRUMP DONALD TRUMP put a travel ban in effect once we had ten positive cases in this country, the left assailed him for weeks for doing it. Okay. Nancy. Pelosi went to Chinatown encourage people not to wear masks Blah Blah. Xenophobic Racist Blah Blah Blah, pick your s that's yacht called, and now all of a sudden they WANNA blame him for one hundred, thirty, thousand body bags may explain something if he hadn't done what he did when he did, there'd be a million three bodybags. Okay end of discussion this has nothing to do with mass. This is all a political fucking game and and I'm tired of hearing about it. Except from you guys I love your new guys. DOTS. I. Think. Let's just put that on record right now. Yeah you're paid to talk matter of fact, we don't pay you at all. Yes. I think we have a contract we'll get. something. About our bucks and it'll happen advil or something like that. I. Think it was under someone nine. I was a corner of starbucks eight was a quarter of an advil and half starbucks get it straight monthly and you're no. Damage. Send Me. Oreo. Wait a minute. I want kids count. You want to renegotiate. All of your agent moved to Seattle. Yeah exactly somebody please his comments to that brick wall over there. Oh Yeah. Yeah. All right I feel like I've rented enough. Is there anything you gentlemen WANNA cover that I missed? How `bout? Redskins finally caving. By quest over we're going we're going for football. Then we're GONNA touch the Third Rail Ladies and gentlemen he just licked and grabbed it go right ahead phoenix. I did read an article that. There are some and I'm not saying a whole bowl loan. I'm not saying that YOU KNOW ENTIRE PATIENT O. Or and it's hard tribal right that there are in fact, some of the indigenous votes, native Americans. That want keep it because it actually gives them a sense of ownership relevant. We've along on this we have this. We can follow this because that is you know a depiction of our people. What's the Redskins fans great. I have no problem with that if there. was somebody like football but hey, you know I, see it representation in my people here. Thank you. There are well, we don't get me wrong that no, all fuck you and take it other. Cash kind of it's actually kind of funny that you mentioned that being that I'm also for those of us this for those of you just tuning in and getting no us as we get to know you I, am a football nut job I have been since my early days Yes. I was GONNA. Say I think there's actually incriminating proof out there wasn't much of a about football I gotta tell you. My love for the game has often outweighed all of this You know all the polit political bullshit that's going on in the game for quite some time. Get into Kapernick, that's a whole other rent for me that lasts about forty five minutes and maybe we'll do an episode just on that Now, there was always my understanding in watching anything about the Washington redskins and and the history of them that the that the team was supposedly named for one of their assistant coaches who was native American and it was if anybody. I played football I I. I. I know that Phoenix not sure if you did mark You know everybody everybody on the football field to talk shit and especially to your friends okay and Just because you have some sort of negative pejorative is a nickname, doesn't mean that people hate you Okay. So The, the the legend was and I've actually since found out found out, different resin was at the team was named for in honor of one of their beloved assistant coaches. Evidently that's not the case. Racist over racist overtones aside I? Mean we can dissect anything want. Come up with all kinds of. The point being is, why don't we just name? The region Caucasians and everybody'll be happy. Okay I mean. Seriously also living in living in Florida I gotTa tell you the university or she state has a deal to to use the seminole name from the from the seminal nation. They paid them royalties every year, which is why you don't hear this here the Indigenous People screaming about Florida state. Okay. So You know I I don't I don't want to say they haven't been relevant for twenty years. Hey easy. I. Agree I agree too I mean my head. One is, Emma water but. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute mark. Are You All I I. Take over the gators day. Well me too because. No. Fan. You know what you know University of Miami and the Florida. GATOR gator. Yeah. So It's just block. Gives you wondering we all love each other teams until we play each other so that that being said. Does anybody have any idea about the outrage regarding redskins? Honestly. I mean I might just you know that stupid that I don't see the problem with the name it's the name of sports team. Okay. I mean we'RE GONNA change the Cleveland Indians. Are we gonNA change you know aerobics Today. But that's again that's a whole other. That's a whole other thing. But how many? Are they are all the sports teams just to be to be called the daisies and you know we're good to go. Or how about the banana flavor wouldn't? Well, this is like football gets get. Exactly. Yeah. Very wrapped up about injuries and things like that. Like five put flags on. Let's play flag football. But that's really the other thing I mean. You can argue that these guys are being paid wages that are equivalent to see to. Well, okay. hazard pay I mean there's they're making millions and millions of dollars. No offense I, what what what what come? Okay. These these guys mostly have guaranteed contracts. So, you break your leg. You're out of the game you're still getting paid and you should have gotten a degree so you should be able to join the workforce afterwards. Well. Puffing along the line that you know you're getting my mom bought list during my day. Is. Lump everything together all of one. We have you know events that have taken place because of. What took place. In A now it's moved to now we're going to start tearing down statues of anybody that. Could would did whatever. But now okay. Well, we need to keep that ball rolling. So we need this Norfolk Russell. Hey. Let's NFL take. Let's go up for baseball teams. Blackhawks. I love the fact that the blackhawks till they told those guys to stuff it. They're like, no, we're not change Noel. I mean yeah, and also also the the pretty big assumption there is that these people that are tearing down statues have any clue who they are I mean want to remove a statue wondering. I it's like I'll take the consequences of not taking US history for eight hundred Alex. Basically. Look, we get to wipe out four. Daily double. All right. So we'RE GONNA WE'RE GONNA. PULL DOWN WE'RE. GonNa pull out Lincoln and we're GONNA pull down the statue of an abolitionist. Yeah. Let's do that. Oh Yeah. Well, they're not even educated. They're pulling down you know. They're pulling down. Statues of people that fought four slavery. To to abolish slavery, they're pulling down. I mean I saw they ruined the Frederick Douglass. Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah you mean the guy that advised Lincoln on how to actually take slavery down Gee I can't imagine why you hear him down. Clearly again, that's That's World Super Eight Hundred Alex. Exactly exactly no no, it's not world history. It's common core history. That's that's right. And? There is no wrong answer to one plus one. Knew exactly. All right boys I. think that's going to wrap it up for. I. Think that's going to wrap it up this particular episode everybody that joined us. Thank you very much. I appreciate a hope you've You give him a little insight insight. I should say are insanity sure would appreciate your support. So if that support button go at Mash, it down any level would be appreciated We're GONNA have some promos and some gear available for you guys here real soon, and For joining us again I'm supporting. World Premier Episode - burst 01

"Hello America. And welcome to the midnight. Patriots involves Spartan and I am flanked by Phoenix, Drip Dick, and mark. We are the midnight patriots and you may be asking yourselves why in the hell are we doing this? Well, got to be honest with you. Everybody has insomnia sucks almost as bad as tyranny that and we have day jobs. So we're GONNA talk in the series about the Constitution the bill of rights politics national current events. WE'RE GONNA call out here anyway guardless of the perceive political flavor using these standards of information logic and a passion for liberty. So that being said, I wanted to read something here real quick on our maiden voyage as sort of a sort of a way to set the standard. This this passage I'm about to read was actually written by. Thomas Paine one of our founders and framers, and regardless of how you see this man and the values that he possessed in that day that this was written this was written about seven months after the excuse me five months after the declaration of independence. So this is a this is a passage from December twenty, third, seventeen, seventy, six many of you have heard the the the line of this but I'm to go a little bit deeper into it, and hopefully this'll give the show some sort of context and and we hope we can earn your support as as time goes on. So this is from December twenty, third seventeen, seventy, six when the When the Revolutionary War was still going on and it says says as follows. These are the Times that try men's souls. Summer soldier in the Sun signed gatriways will in this crisis shrink from the service of their country. But he that stands by it now deserves the love and the thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, there's not easily conquered. Yet, we have this consolation with us at the heart of the conflict, the more glorious triumphs. What we obtained too cheap. We assume too lightly. It is dearness only that gives every thing. It's value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price on its goods. And it would be strange indeed if so celestial and article as freedom. Should not be highly rated. So those are the kind of the words that I could keep in mind as we go through this in every man here every person associated with this show would definitely be on the flag to make sure that the stretch stay read. So we're GONNA open up tonight and we're going to kind of open up the insanity that we've been seeing around our country regarding corona virus covid nineteen. Now everybody fever mind that none of us are medical professionals and our virologist by any stretch of the imagination where relating experiences and questions nothing that we say should be taken as any sort of diagnostic approach or any sort of Expert opinion. That said yours truly your host here Paul Spartan well, actually come at this from a perspective of being Osha certified in matters of respirators and and breathing protection. the rest of US come at this from from our own particular viewpoints and speculations. So let's just get started off So boys, we got we have. Governors California and Texas walking. Act Actual reopenings and we've got quote unquote more and indecisive confirmations, Cova, spreading but for but amazingly somehow in New York, they're reporting any new deaths or anybody WANNA start with an opinion on that. Honestly. You know I mean there's been some conversation prior to. Between myself and the other members. That's. Something is pulling the strings somewhere. Other than CDC, a hospital staff, surgeon, general things of that nature. Quite honestly, you know whatever it was whatever stream you Asian that recently came out that. Took a Italy Area. Jersey Pennsylvania. Great. Has stated sure. But why is it only California Texas? That more back that we know of your again to the states in the continental United States. Voting populace in those states. So my question now. WHO formed strings? Think. That's the overarching point here is that you know in in my experience not to get too nerdy and go too far down the rabbit hole but the same government that's telling us you know to be afraid and take particular actions like wearing cloth masks. Are the same ones that are telling us that the cloth masks don't work. I can tell you from from Osha Training and ocean certification that airborne pathogens particularly viruses. Are listed in the sub micron rage. Now that sounds that sounds really really you know interesting or maybe even boring but something that has to be realized is that when something is a sub micron particle. It passes right through the we've of a mask. Require its own moisture source. Now. Obviously state standard state standards vary but in the train I've received anything in the sub micron range requires a A. A SELF CONTAINED OXYGEN SOURCE With the use of a mask in that in that particular bio suit I mean if you WanNa, take a look and you think you're safe by wearing a cloth mask look at whatever rally just wears in a lab. When he's working with this type of contagion, it isn't a cloth masks. He wears a moon suit with a separate oxygen supply I mean there seems to be my perception is that the same people that are that are trying to Promote the panic are the ones trying to peddle a secure and make trillions and any thoughts on John? I think they're actually. No I. Think There's definitely you know financial motivation behind. This whether it's big whether it's by hospitals by a parent companies own hospitals. I mean. There's definitely something I think that financially pushes everything I mean between them getting you know a nice. paycheck at for each person, they list with Kobe or each person that unfortunately passes. listed. With Kovin. You, know they get a Giant financial. Yes if you will. Of money which I think pushes ally of these. Claims of more cases rising I mean like we. Previously is if you talk about the fact that of you know there's people around that work in the profession that there are things have been going around that they've sent. You know unused test the places. And they've come back positive when they haven't been used. But who who? Who who is the guy over in Africa, that tested a tested a fruit and a goat. And they both came back. Positive. Does anybody remember that news But you already your point but more to your point I believe the last figure I heard to. Last year I heard from the federal government was somewhere in the area of fifty to eighty five thousand dollars total for the treatment, and if the the particular person passes, the patient passes they get more. Does anybody have any information to dispute that because I think that was the last count that I heard. Be last information that I have. At, least. It's nineteen thousand dollars for a diagnosed case. Thirty eight thousand dollars if they are required hospital say and it goes up exponentially require respirator ICU care. They stay longer than hot. You're in you're out you're gone. So that being said. We all know that it'll supposedly. This bill. Gates himself and his research company. Or the ones that. Found viruses no did all the. Problems. I'm looking for here research. But. My question is if they did all the research, why did they come up with as well or have they? That's a question I posed to you folks. Well, I know they re you know they actually waiting to get ten thousand dollars plus from insurance companies and the federal government per dose mean. There's an argument to be made there. I mean, the guy is not a doctor nor is he of Arale just he just wants to make a make a killing on the here. Now that by the way is not an argument for any sort of socialized medicine. It's an absolute. It's an absolute disgusting power-hungry move at the cost of well forget about just American lives. What about globally, what have what is a million people in the ground now lifted discovered related At least one point three. If I remember correctly I could be wrong. Well, I got the second portion. Really a big to ask now is Bill Gates can't keep a bug out of his own computers what you're GONNA do with the world. Exactly number one key couldn't build a computer didn't crash three times a day for no reason. So why would we trust him with with people's lives? You know I mean he would. There was a there was a tit for tat went back and forth on social media several several years ago when he was still a once he was the kingpin of Microsoft. And he had mentioned something like You know if the auto industry had made many advances in the computer industry over the last twenty years, we'd all be driving cars that got a thousand miles to the gallon and went from zero to one hundred and two seconds to which I believe. It was the CEO at the time of Ford replied. Well. Yeah. But then the cars would crash twice a day for no reason. So. I mean you. Good Cryptic. I was GonNa say, well, then you you look at Osso. When you're talking about these numbers, go into hospitals. How many hospitals or possibly owned by the same parent company that owns the farms that the big farms that are gonna sit there and. Produce this vaccine all the sudden. Or? Not to say that they don't already have it and are just. Still waiting. I mean I know there's always testing and they have to get FDA approval and God knows what else but I mean, what's to say? that. They're not. You know getting twice the paychecks. On. Both things. Oh. Yeah. There's there's no doubt they're doubling down does absolutely no doubt doubling down your that said the other the other things that I've noticed here I don't know if everybody's been keeping up like I have. There's a Lotta unconstitutional shift happening. Okay. And I mean. Just heard I. Heard I. Heard Mark Heard Mark Giggling that that's fine because. The little that they'll get into that in a little bit but also just I wanna take a moment mark You serve this country with honor and distinction for several years in that in the military and I got to thank you for that Phoenix. You did as well and I got to say thank you for that. You protected my right to become a fat video playing hotdog eating copy guzzling douchebag that you see before you now and some of US servicemen appreciate that and Thank you. Appreciate. Bill. Hey they already did. They're called the IRS and believe me they're up my don't shit. I don't know where they I don't know where I ended maybe. It's not. So we've got measured we've got measures being proposed in in in multiple stages. Here is all the way from you know putting additional taxes on firearms to ammunition and then requiring a federal license. To purchase either. we've got the state of California. Who is you know? Well, let's just be honest they're doing what California does. It essentially eliminated their own their own Anti discrimination laws I don't know how that happened Where the hell does anybody see an end game here other than complete and total? Marxist. Shithole. That's where these lefties and I'm not GONNA say Liberals. Anymore. He's people are leftist-marxist pigs and by the way if any of you listening fuck off, don't ever come back. None of us here at. Fourth Yeah. This year at the Midnight Patriots give a flying fuck what you We don't have time to answer your e mails and believe me you're better off just turning off because if you heard that your heads probably. And I don't WanNa hear about it. Okay. You be somewhere else. All right. Man Okay. So we've got all this massive gun control legislation which I'm assuming. That this is going to veto once it hits his desk, roll it into something else and he doesn't see it. I mean. Does anybody else you positive outcome here other than I'll just say it an open civil war. Mean I feel like I feel like patience like like those are the Sierra on the on the on the conference. Are being, backed into a corner. Yeah we're basically damned if we do. We're damned if we don't any anybody want to comment on that. No Matt Aspect. Mark Yeah. Well, the thing is like you hope it doesn't cover some this ridiculous. Of course. By, by thing is I would I guess probably is right now I don't know. Civil. War who against who? In other words, how would how would you distinguish I'll be okay Tepa. Got It the OH black lives matter. Got It. But. How do you distinguish? You gotta be. That's a great question. That's the real. That's a real problem is that we're facing a A faceless boogeyman to keep us all in our homes and isolated from one another. We've got blatant constitutional no violations from New York California including the first second third amendments. Fourth amendment. I mean and they're just they're not apologetic about it. They're just in your face to. Has. Closed Down Churches and locked Rock Jewish people out of their own parts. What's his name from says. Yeah. Is violating blatantly violating the first. Amendment people they can't sing in. Church. Are you kidding me. I mean, I'm not a religious separation of church and state. Well and second of all I mean, how does anybody look at that and not go holy shit let the lawsuits commence. Honestly So, now here's the thing I. WanNa Make It. I WanNa make it very clear for the audience and even those in the group I am not advocating for an open civil war where we start shooting. Okay. I would also like to say here only for myself but I believe that that I do not believe in the Black Lives Organization the Black Lives Matter Organization. I believe in the message black lives matter just as much as every other life and we should all be equal before the law we should be overseas equal treatment especially before the law. But. I'm not going to back a group that is Marxist and comes out and basically says it if you don't give us what we want, we're GONNA burn the system that the ground. I mean all here. Again, I mean if you have said organization that is in fact, baking a threat whether they considered idol. They considered valid. It is still a threat to. The life. Well, exactly how how do we not take that? How do we not take that based on the the instances of the last month? Says we says, we all watched the the horrific murder of a of a citizen by by discussing human being police officer. How do we? "See say five star prospect originally in the class two thousand twenty one, but now I'm class. Two Thousand Twenty announced this afternoon that he is committed to the University of Memphis. Pippen Hardaway's Tigers over offers from Georgetown Georgia. Florida State Lsu and Kentucky for those unfamiliar. I guess you can on some level. Call him a quote local product because he did spend the past year at Lausanne collegiate school, which is seven miles from the Memphis. MEMPHIS campus, but he's not really a local product. He was born in West. Africa moved to New York, in two thousand, fifteen played at Saint Benedict's prep in New Jersey played at Christ King in New York, then relocated a Memphis, the plate laws and this past season led the links to a state title, one Mr Basketball and the state of Tennessee average eighteen point, four points, fifteen point, three rebounds, and a ridiculous nine point two blocks per game, and now we have college basketball season. He says he'll play for the Memphis Tigers. norlander break it down. What do you make a penny? Hardaway lending a five star center in two straight recruiting classes last time. It was James Wiseman this time Mussa. Break it down Oh. Yeah, here's what I got a question for you I. Mean Here's here's was Gary Perez? Is tweet on Wednesday afternoon breaking all caps course. This was an all caps breaking the way I don't i. You know what expected to go to Memphis. I. Don't know if all caps was warranted there. Can you take me inside the thought process versus not in a? Regular grammar versus going all caps in that moment, please. Young Mussa say follows exactly ten people on twitter. I am one of them, and so I wanted to make sure he he saw how much emphasis I put on his commitment. How do I just know that two four six years from now if and when Lucy say is? Able to earn a consistent NBA paycheck, and perhaps it's even a player of of importance in the NBA. Gary Parrish will never ever ever forget or forget to remind people that there was one point in time and Mussa CCA followed ten people on twitter. And he was one of them. I honestly don't even understand it. Because like he used to follow a lot of people on twitter, I noticed and. One of them was not me, and then suddenly he cut almost everybody, but added me I don't really even know the connection there, but. I want I knew he'd see the tweet. And once I knew each the tweet I wanted to I wanted him to experience in all. Caps tweet obviously as as faithful podcast, listeners will know. Also one Moussa, see say. was tutored by your own son so I think. That might also be an influence. Parish working behind the scenes to get it done for Memphis. You've gotta admire actually ironically enough this happening in a week where parish is not on his local radio show. The conspiracy only strengthens. Okay, so here's what here's my question for you. you say the six eleven likely one and done talent averaged. Eighteen point four points, fifteen point, three rebounds and nine point two blocks last season pick memphis over Georgetown. Tom Kriens Georgia bulldogs Kentucky and Lsu. My question is. Who the hell is this guy planning? Nine point two blocks a game what? I have not I have. It's private school basketball in the state of Tennessee so? Took it over people who look like my oldest son in some cases like the blogging. What after another like I don't know I never been to a laws and basketball game and I've never even actually met. Say although it is true, my son and Mussa. Were classmates in my son to tutor him in in certain classes I. I don't even know if say knows that. My son is his classmate. He might, but I don't know that I've never I've never even had a real conversation about Mussa with my son. Other than so, what kind of young man is he and was like really nice? Really Really Nice guy like you know doesn't walk around like some big time. Basketball player I the only other times. I would talk to myself about Moses. Like Hey, did you see that dunk? That was on instagram last night or something like that? Because like fans are crazy, and at one point, the two schools involved in the Memphis in. RECRUITMENT MOST HEAVILY WE'RE MEMPHIS IN KENTUCKY and I'm like it doesn't matter what happens I. will somebody connected to one of those fan? Bases will blame me for it if HE GOES TO MEMPHIS, Kentucky fans it'd be because I pushed into Memphis somehow through my son, and if he goes to Kentucky Memphis fans, it'd be like see parish eight says all the modern salads like I'm not even getting involved. The only time my son had ever been asked about Mussa as recruitment. That I witnessed was one of my friends recently asked him when they were over at the house, and my son's answer was he always talked about? Georgetown but I don't think he's going to go to Georgetown and that was the extent of it. So he was right. Maybe my son's got a future and being a recruiting analyst, right?

"<hes> who is a damn good runner is isn't gonna utilize that skill set. I also think haven't seen him in spring practice in this fall camp. Does it better people give him credit for. I think danny no should get some credit for improving his throwing like motion and improving him as a passer last season kind of behind the scenes and i think that that kind of came to fruition when he's able to step into against georgia <hes> and pull off at huge wind when an s._e._c. championship so <hes> yeah i do think jalen hurts is going to have success. Is he going to pick up right where kyle murray and baker mayfield left off. I'm not so sure in a big reason why get forty offense alignment upfront. I mean at that to me. Everybody was focused on jalen hurts. I don't think that's the area of concern concern. If there is one for lincoln riley offense it's the offense align get their job more award winning offense aligned from a year ago before guys get drafted <hes> and the in the n._f._l. Draft and so they got a lot of replacement creed humphries and outstanding center freshman all american probably one of the better freshmen are one of the better centers all college football football <hes> but they got to put some new piece in their bilbo's one of the best offense alignment in the country. You're not gonna find many better at the n._f._l. College level. He actually passed on some n._f._l. Jobs sustain oklahoma this season so he's recruited well. He's a good developer but four brand new guys to me. That's a bit more worrisome than the quarterback is self alf and you know ball's gonna come out quick to help those guys and i think also young offense align you know what they like to do like to put their and the ground and just try to row great these are big physical guys and i think that early on the season especially look for lincoln riley in this team to lean on their running game. They've got talented. Running back crew with kennedy brooks trae sermon <hes> an and quite a few other guys truth be told and i think jalen hurts is going to be a real weapon. People don't realize this but they had almost three thousand yard rushers last year. Kennedy brooks goes for over thousand collar. Murray goes for over thousand trae. Sermon was about forty five yard short so i know when you think of lincoln riley think air raid he's adapted. He understands understands that you've got to be able to run the football and i think that they lean on that especially early until this offense get some continuity round in shape and they're able to protect and give jalen hurts that extra time. I expect this sooners rushing attack to be pretty potent. <hes> right out of the chute pain dusty talks talks about all the changes on the sooners offensive line when you last your hey that was going to be the strength of this football team coming in. We had an inkling of <unk> murray could do. I don't think any of us anticipated him. Putting together together kind of electric season he was able to put forth but when we look at dana holger sin leaving a power five program lake west virginia take job houston knowing the kind of talent he has not only a quarterback and derek king but the top three running backs return king of course factors in as one of the three they're five of the top six receivers highlighted by marquess stevenson and one hundred one career starts on on the offensive line.

"That's the only spot where you can really hurt them in my mind because their top twenty in both rushing and passing efficiency fourteenth in success rate <hes> and for me i i just don't know if schematically organs going to be there and we talked about this on the pac twelve podcasts. It's a bottom line thing for me. It's a huge game for mario cristobal to huge game for marcus arroyo. We've seen this oregon team away from eugene last sixteen trips. They've been outscored award by a hundred and nine points. They've lost twelve games. I don't love this coaching staff. It's time for them to kinda. Show up here for once definitely level familiarity the era between head coach mario crystal ball and auburn offensive coordinator kevin steele both were on the same staff at alabama back in two thousand eighteen two thousand thirteen in two thousand fourteen so whose level of familiarity and know how can trump one another in this particular spot and oregon where to pull off the outright win here dusty it would be the first time they've beaten a ranked team amos start a season since way back in two thousand one when they knocked off the wisconsin badgers dusty. This is a big game for the pack twelve right. I mean they need this game. It felt like last year with washington and a similar setting couldn't take down auburn in a game that i thought the second half they played them. <hes> the it kind of felt the pac twelve sealed its fate already. I don't want to say that's one hundred percent the case this year i don't wanna completely berry washington and especially. I'm not ready to utah but this would not be a good sign for the pac twelve once again. If this oregon team a lot of people myself included think as a chance to have a pretty special season if they go down to ann arbor team. Let's face it. I don't know if they're much better than third their own division and that s._e._c. west so a huge game for as you mentioned more cristobal oregon but also huge game for the pac acts what was all definitely wouldn't mind a college football landscape that had the pac twelve relevant. Wanna calendar left september headed to october something that we actually actually haven't seen for the last couple years utah. We'll talk about them. Plenty going forward. I know they have a couple landmines in their schedule early on including road date at u._s._c. in late september when we get to sunday a program that you know all too well. The oklahoma sooners find themselves is twenty three point favorites with a total of eighty two and a half as they welcome in the houston cougars. I now led by dana holders who made the move from west virginia to houston <hes> when we look at a quarterbacks in this game i think derek king. Maybe a guy that the casual we'll college. Football fan doesn't know all about electrical dual threat quarterback that can make plays both with his arm and his legs but i think the big question that all of us have and hoping you can shed some light on native will jalen hurts pick up where kyla murray and baker mayfield left off before and be the heir apparent to leading lincoln riley's offense in two thousand nineteen years to fill isn't it if you're talking about a to the host efficiencies actually the two most efficient seizes we ever seen in college. Football baker mayfield set that mark when he won the heisman two years ago only to be trumped by both to who ankle miracle. We wanted this past season so <hes> that's a tall order but yeah. I think he's going to be successful. Do i think he's going to put up the same numbers at those guys did. I don't know i take a look a little bit different. I don't think that link rally gets away from who he is but the thing that really <hes> appreciate it. If you watched lincoln riley he is willing to adapt to his personnel right. He is willing <hes> to to try to change what he does a little bit if need be so. I think that's that's an area for me that i'm excited to see exactly what it looks like but i think you'd be crazy not to thank the jalen hurts..

"Offseason. He took them to athens georgia. He show them what it takes to win a national championship in college football. That's a trickle down effect all the way his coaches saw they understand each preachy at these players are buying it yet is damn sleeves rolled up walk around like he's ready to arm wrestle so anybody who wanted to go at. He's already on edge akpo days and his team carries that over. I think it'd be a pretty tough team deal with the season. I true by this matchup but i just i think there's a lot of things that from a match standpoint but for me kind of quarterback a veteran quarterback. Oh i think you're better quarterbacks country against a true freshman one back. That's trump card my opinion. I would not be afraid to take a flyer on on the dog here. You know what pain week we talked about justin herbert and kind of what the what we thought he was going to be able to produce this season eugene on the preseason podcast cast one of the big issues that oregon's been plagued with all campus some struggles in terms of keeping wide receivers healthy. It looks like johnson supposedly going to be a full go but he missed some time. Mike pittman j._r. waters brennan schooler lance wilhoit the list goes on and on when you look justin herbert and try and figure out how he's going to match up against the defense with some questionable weapons out out there. How does that factor into some of your handicapping when you look at the way this number is kind of moved where we've seen some money come on auburn taking it off the three. It's a great question and it's kind of difficult to assessed that an endless. It's just it's a lot of hype coming in with justin herbert. You've got the big offensive line. The only loud a five percent sack rate last season then they go out the number one juku linemen to add to the mix so you know everything on paper looks like this should be an elite duck offense. <hes> you mentioned the injury above it hit the wide receiver group <hes> and that's going to be difficult in a matchup like just because how you have to beat auburn is with the explosive pass part of this is style style to like. I'm not huge on marx's arroyo like it. He just hasn't shown an ability to be creative on. He's been extremely predictable table with his play. Calling i think part of that is probably you know a directive from mario cristobal who wants to run on early downs as a former alignment himself but you look at oregon's offense last year fifth worst in the entire country bypassing third downs so they weren't picking up first downs on first or second down very often often. You have what you know. It's going to be probably the second quarterback taken in the n._f._l. Draft you've got to trust me enough to throw on early downs because i think that's what's needed a game like this. I don't think you can consistently punk auburn in the trenches. You know you look at auburn's defense the big thing here kevin steele moving down. I'm from the press box to the sidelines for the first time in three seasons. You can just tell the auburn staff is all in this year. They know the seat is hot. <hes> every big time contributor trigger returns on that defensive line so absolutely loaded up front the biggest thing again if they can limit explosive place and i think they can if marcus arroyo calls the same games he did last year in the ducks in <hes> injuries have hit the wide receiver group because auburn ninety seventh season ago <hes> an explosive play a defense..

"I alluded to even vigne jimbo's last season there they were gonna miserable game if they didn't reschedule monroe so this kind of already been happening <hes> you couldn't boot guys off the team because the a._p._r. Or was already so low you would have became an eligible so taggart's dealing with a lot of jimbo's is that weren't made to go to class. That didn't have to lift right. It was one of the worst worst i teams in the country in terms of working out and getting in the weight room. That's changed a little bit. The vibe is different here in quite frankly f._s._u. Doesn't have the money to buy him outright now so i think he is here at least another year. I do think they make a bowl game. This season the schedule sets up for it but i can tell you right now. Twenty twenty in this is massive for willie tagger. He not only has to have a winning season. I think he needs to get to eight wins. He needs to get to nine wins because right now as it stands despite all the turmoil going on on here. Willie taggart has the eight best recruiting class in the country the best in the state of florida. There's a five star prospect number. One defensive player in the country's choosing between in alabama and florida state any decisions going to be based on if florida state looks like they've progressed this year which is the big question for a lot of recruits in that twenty twenty class so this season is massive for willie taggart if you can get eight or nine wins you're gonna land even more guys that are contemplating coming here in that'll be a big way to resurrect this program awfully interesting program to keep tabs on things shape up relatively well. The only sure fire loss on florida's state schedule looks to be clemson. It'll be about four touchdown underdog and of course course the seat regular season finale and it's gonna be tough yeah florida. I was gonna say. I mean another game on paper right now. It doesn't look all that good but hey things can change and you never know what will happen. You know three plus months from now. What we do know is the biggest game of the weekend will take place in arlington texas where it's organ against auburn and it's auburn three and a half point favorite even in this game total fifty five and a half a rematch of the two thousand ten national championship game the twenty two thousand nine hundred win for auburn and dusty will start with you on this particular particular context you look at auburn. They elect to go the route of a true freshman the first time in the modern era they've done so at this program since one thousand nine hundred forty six if you're oregon and you're in that film room and everything else as a veteran defensive player. How are you looking at. Some of the unknowns. That bo knicks is going to throw at you. I'm looking my chops also look much because 'cause i'm watching that auburn offense alive from shoes or and like i mentioned and the animals into him recive coach you her it paying talk about the boise state does <hes> they are not afraid to blitz up the field gap defense <unk> penetrate the play in the backfield expect organ wanna do the same name. I can't wait to see the true. Freshman gave on the number one <unk> country. What a win. That was for more cristobal. Get him out of california expect he. He hasn't instant impact. Also i think he's pretty prime exciting <hes> to take on another true freshman across away and see if he can't a guy that we're talking about more so than even bo knicks troy dies outstanding linebacker that they have and i think that you know this sets. That's up pretty well now. Would it be intruding his gus. Malzahn will call a. place. We saw what he did. The bowl game against producing hung forty nine incident in the first half at the biggest thing for me what has to any back to run the football they can run the football and it starts with the offensive line but i think also there's a little bit of element jared cinem- as as much as you might like him as a passer didn't really fit exactly what gus malzahn one of the dude i just never bought into jerry i as a great run with gus malzahn offense bo knicks..

"How do you assess the cardinal and how they can go about trying to take care of an ailing offensive line that really let him down for extended stretches last season. It's exactly what you're talking about. I mean lean on my quarterback. I mean k. J. costello us at having highest passing efficiency in the pac twelve west and it's interesting because pays exactly right this sanford teams really more from one of the more physical offensive lines in college college football year-over-year to not. They're not moving people off the ball. They're not running football at will which i get shocked going away from like like you guys said those big packages two tight end sets. I still think you know the big shocker that they've got tons. That can really catch football stanford going parkinson's martensson. We'll be are the guy to to but i am changed when i was in l._a. To talk to sit and talk cagey cost quite a bit and he likes him his young a posh read saying that i'm expecting the city doesn't michael but he seemed confident. I think he's good player so the i give them credit. They add a little bit in change what they do. I think a._j. Costello if some guys can merge they could be a legitimate offense but i think still at some point you'd like to see will be able to the handed. Football often run it. I don't think beating were your club. They have visually it's still you've got to be on football in any form of football so until they can fully prove that to me probably get more questions questions and answers about the pain when it comes to north western on the defensive side of the ball i mean we know it pat fitzgerald's able to accomplish entering his fourteenth year at the helm near four straight seasons whereas defense is allowed less than twenty four points per game. We're not going to put them on the same level of alabama and the elite teams in the country by any stretch of the imagination but they seem to do more with less although this year they go into the season without their top member of their secondary in monterey hard age. How do you see northwestern defensively matching up with what the cardinals are going to want to do on the offensive side. Will i think that's the interesting part about this right when you look at that opponent across from north western's defense was top twenty in rushing efficiency there were outside the top seventy five in passing efficiency officiency and then you mentioned you lose the all big ten corner mantra hartridge <hes> they also lost their starting safety so you know the last ask piece of film stanford has on this wildcat defense is giving up a big ten title game record four hundred ninety nine passing yards so that is how i think visit even makes more sense for stanford's offense to transition a little bit. You guys mentioned the pieces that are removed from receiving core for stanford. You know they have to replace sixty. Three percent senator catches sixty seven percent of the receiving yards sixty two percent of the touchdowns. I'm when you lose or sega whiteside in erwin cain smith but what i'm hearing is the ball all could come out a little quicker this year for stanford's offense because the style of receivers a little bit difference more run after the catch type guys and so i think if it's an extension stanchion of the run game that's a positive so for me when i look at northwestern defense much against the run not as good against the pass. It makes a lot of sense for stanford to transition this as well and he does. He taught you know in this report fisher study. I mean he's one of the better line that in college football. He's been ill that defense also like giogadze nano along defensive front so i'm one hundred percent with pain it sets up well for stanford because when i i think the weakness of this northwestern defense is is the past defense and as was mentioned you lose your best to play from the back end and you've got what you have come back in front seven four of western..

"That's exactly voice. It's college football season. I'm fired up. I've been chomping at the bit. Let's rock and roll those all right five games on the docket boy so let's get right into it and we'll start out on the farm. Were at stanford playing host to northwestern. You're looking at the cardinal a six point favorite total on this scheme forty seven and we have seen some movement here throughout the course of the offseason pain when we look at these two teams almost feels like mirror images of each other not only their academic profile files but the same type of work ethic and the brand of football. They like to employ stanford a little bit down last year as you mentioned the preseason part northwestern representing the west but when you look at the market and the way the way the number has moved so far what does that tell you about how to approach this particular game so from what i have seen so far are is the number is a little high tells us stanford likely as the side here but i know there's been professional bettors that have been really looking to take seven in grab it anytime you get a chance that total has kind of bounced back and forth a little bit. There's a battle going on there between the over under <hes> what i have seen and i think why we're starting to see some of this action towards the over a little bit and it came in. This weekend is basically okay. How stanford's going to run. Its offense and you know we've kind of talked about this a little bit in in i think david shaw's kind of dwindling down that that usage of the mammoth formation that he likes to call it. I know we've been banging the table for over a year now and i think it makes even more sense when you have this new style in your best offensive sense of weapon as a quarterback caja castello right so i think we're going to see a lot less running because it's that square peg round hole mentality. <hes> stanford was one hundred jordan seventh in rushing efficiency last year eleventh out of twelve pac twelve teams in that category and bryce love is in there anymore so i think kudos to today. David shaw for changing things up a little bit more. We saw that take shape a little bit towards the end of last season. The final five regular season games aged stella through twenty three percent of the time than the first seven regular season game so i think that's why we're seeing this total tick up a little bit in. It's just that new strategy that david jauzion implant offense does when you look at this cardinal team i mean pain mentioned it. They couldn't run the ball at all last year. Bryce love such high expectations coming into the season never quite materialize. We started to see caja castello more comfortable with a pass happy offense but he's gonna be down a few of his marquee weapons. It looks like kobe. Parkinson will be the most reliable receiving threat rat allowed back on campus this year..

"Lot of mentions a lot of emails else. What do we do now. Think about the rest of the landscape of that division todd right. You had a texans team who pro betters absolutely hated drove their win total from eight and a half half down to like seven point seven. I know it's come back up now. Because of the lucky issue <hes> you'll lose lamar miller the other team in the division. The tennessee titans was a a team that got buried under by professional bettors for eight and a half down to like seven point six in some places now gone back up a little date but the idea that you're now going into turn and investment on the colts and certainly it's it's a bad price at this point but it still hasn't lost and we still like jacoby perset the idea that we're gonna like panic hedge into teams. We absolutely don't like makes absolutely no sense. I think jacksonville a lot of people inquired about them. We like jacksonville right right but it's again so now all of a sudden you're leveraging yourself even more taking jacksonville and they're not the favourite for me where we're standing pat and we're going to evaluate the win total again and and you know if it gets down to stupid territory where it's only you know i've seen six at like one or two places. It's not widely available but that's that's a number. We're probably reassessing and looking to go over that as well. Yes seven half kinda. The consensus out here in the desert <unk> have seen some shops shaded to the yonder that was three-month rant and i hate to cut you off but just to kind of put this in perspective and again. We say it all the time. This is one investment right. It's one. I know it sucks. It's at the you know you stub your toe. It hurts for forty eight seconds as men. Let's let's get the fuck over it. I don't anymore dams anymore mentioned. It's one investment. We're gonna make you know hundreds of them this season. It's really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things so i know the national media's played it up. It's been the story for the last eight days. I wanna roots ben. Let's get over it. We've moved on you. Wanna get into the college football game. Let's do it with the regular. Season it means the gang is back together paying. "Excusably. Even the seventies seventy percents up seventy percent the first time around so you're able to win this football contest. You can take on the hardware. You can brag to your friends you. You can tell the wife that all those hours you spent neglecting your kids pay dividends at least during the fall. I know it's a college football podcast pain but the big news of the weekend obviously came out with andrew lock and while normally normally we would wait to cover it on the pro football podcast. I felt it was worth addressing now so we of course gave out the colts to win the division way back when we did the offseason podcasts. I'm sure you have iran. Iran coming there but i want to look at what's happened in the market. We saw the colts about a three point. Underdog in charge quals to be out there hybrid line went to three and a half you see the number balloon as far as nine and a half at some shops out in the desert and the consensus now more or less a seven seven and a half and you've seen the window it all over the place. How do you evaluate the a coal to not the face of the franchise. You said a rant this coming the only rant would-be that we're covering this on our kind of podcasts i get it's a massive story but it's also been in the news <hes> on every single radio show in television show for the last three days and get it. It's it's the big topic <hes> <hes> so. I guess it needs to be discussed. You know good for lock do whatever he wants to do. Whatever makes you happy but i do think there is an element into this where he kind of left the coltan dry. You could've alerted some guys. There could have been competition brought in. Maybe a guy like ryan tannehill. I know it's not it doesn't sound flashy doesn't sound great but right now as it stands chad kelly who suspended for the first two games is the backup on this team so jacoby will be percents in your backups now suspended for two two games. It's it's tough in that regard not letting these guys now for me jacoby perset the set. I think i like him probably more than the casual fan you know. He has been working with the first team already. I like that element although he was running andrew lucked system right so he was getting first team reps but it was a system geared towards andrew luck. I think that'll probably a little bit more molded to him now. <hes> and then in two thousand seventeen we saw a guy in jacoby perset who didn't wasn't on the colts roster. If you remember they traded for him from new england wasn't on the culture roster to like. I think september third and he was learning this new system and he had a worst coach any had worse talent around him and still he took leads leads into the fourth quarter nine times which chuck pagano kind of squandered away but this is a guy who now has more town around a better support system both on the field and off in the locker room. I think everything's designed here and i know a couple of sports books and i think we give a little credit. They went off nine and a half down to eight that feels more in line with things i think if you're looking at the colts and i hate to temper hand but if this got to five and a half or six where some some people open not only are we okay but were probably re entering the market with an investment on on jacoby percent in the colts going over that win total. Listen like not going to rant and we've gotten a lot of questions. And what do we make of this win total now. Why is like hey calling your accounting over and being like hey you see this account here. This is mine. It's got two thousand bucks in it and my buddies over your has a million. What would you count you. You like better. Obviously we like the colts better with andrew luck right <hes> but where we're sitting at now and i'm getting a lot of lot of d._m.'s.

"Thank you very much them against us by the hang out with us. They hit thanks to shell Pennzoil performance line. I was talking to my dad about this. I figure who better to talk about a seventy seven year old man having issues being out there in public than a man who is the same age that does not have any issues on my dad. He doesn't have any issues other than being my father. And as a dad Robert Kraft allegations on Friday, then he was charged on on Monday. Case you missed it. Authorities say the owner of the patriots visit a massage parlor for sex acts on the morning of the AFC championship game. He attended the game in Kansas City later that day, and according to documents released by the Palm Beach state attorney's office Monday that was the second time Robert Kraft had gone to that power in a twenty four hour period. So I figured my dad's the same age Robert Kraft, my dad, just turned seventy five only two years younger than Robert Kraft as a dad, you're not necessarily what you love my mom, right goes. Yes, don't start anything. And I said, so why would Robert Kraft do something like this? It can't just be about. He's too big and too powerful. And that worried about anything else. He said son, maybe a seventy seven years of age. Just a lonely old, man. As a daddy his girlfriend half his age I seen her. She looks damn good. He said son and his wife die as a two thousand eleven he goes nothing, and nobody can replace that. Maybe it's just a lonely old, man. And that's the way he finds his way to that pain. That's not going to go away. And I've thought about that. And I said, okay, my dad's not crazy when it comes to stuff like this is still is strange. According to reports that Robert Kraft was the only person caught on camera, according to Michelle Steele, ESPN NFL reporter, Jupiter, Florida. Police department filed these charges. Soliciting prostitution with the state attorney, Jerry Palm Beach state attorney needs to decide whether he's going to keep both of these charges. And I know that you mentioned that twenty five of these guys were caught on tape. Robert Kraft is the only one that was caught white. What what did that issue today? What are the state attorney decides to arrest him for one or both of these count not once but twice and he went to the same parlor over a twenty four hour period with the AFC championship game going to be played in Kansas City. Now, we know he was not going to play in that game. And that thought back when my dad said son, maybe he's just a lonely old, man. And it can't just be about. It's hard to believe. I'm a firm believer in this. Anybody is capable of anything at anytime. Alan Iverson said it best. He says you never know people until you're round them onto you live with them. So it's very, easy, Robert Kraft. Oh my goodness. This upstanding guy. How could he put himself in that situation? He was caught on tape. Not once but twice. Alan Iverson, told you anybody is capable of anything at anytime, and even Robert Kraft who's been a major player in the National Football League. A stone cold good citizen in the NFL and outside the NFL fell victim to maybe just being a lonely old, man. Even though he has half his age, even though he is seventy seven. Years of age. You can always join the conversation at triple eight say ESPN, eight eight eight seven nine three seven seven six, Freddie. Coleman on Freddie and Fitz Simons on ESPN radio. Now, we go back to how powerful he is. Here's man that's not only an NFL owner, but he is worth six billion dollars. I said on Friday, if I'm Robert Kraft, and I'm seventy seven years of age, and I have a bout of loneliness, and I'm worth six billion dollars. I'm not going to Jupiter Florida to try to find some happiness. I'm gonna make sure the happiness comes to me where nobody can see that. No cameras are going to be around. But Dave ehrenberg is the Florida state attorney at a press conference. He says, I know he's big and powerful. I know he seems to be a nice guy, but I can assure you that our office treats everyone the same. Whether you have a lot of money,.

"NBC sports radio. Dang, you're smarter. Now buckle your seatbelts. Delaney show. College football Saturday this get much better than this. All the upset a blow out in the making of a game that we thought was going to be pretty close. And I think what appear up the maybe the best game of the day was will kick in the evening. I'll talk about that. There's a couple of interesting games that will take place is always the chance of the upset, and there's always the chance of letting your guard down. But certainly that's not happening with Notre Dame Notre Dame blowing out Syracuse twenty nine to nothing. So they're going to hold onto that three spot barring some miracle, and I don't think so you got three and change left in the third. And then we go to the final quarter there Notre Dame just another another touchdown this time Ian book chase Klay pull the receiver a ten yard pass and wallah passing touchdown. So we'll wait for that extra point. Ian book continues to roll Eric Dungy on the other side of the ball for Syracuse is out of the game. He's he had an upper body injury. So he's out of the game and devito is the quarterback for Syracuse. And Syracuse is having its issues not being able to get much done on the board as we heard from one of our teammates on NBC sports radio. Scott Seidenberg was kind enough to join us from Yankee Stadium. He said it's about eighty percent in his estimate Notre Dame fans. And he said that the tickets and going in the windows where you get your tickets. You had a lot of people picking up tickets. So the tickets, they got from players, etc. And so many fighting Irish on hand for that. So how about that? And they're loving this game because it's really been no contest right from the very start of this thing. And Syracuse can't get off the Schneider even score some points at this point, lots Hyder game is this one between Oklahoma state. Eight and West Virginia and a couple of minutes they'll be in the locker room West Virginia leading at number nine. Twenty one fourteen is the score. There will Greer one hundred thirty eight yards passing for West Virginia. And a couple of touchdowns the beginning of the season. I really thought will Greer was one of the guys that would be on the Heisman. Listen, he's still could be a consideration. But how could you go against to a who is just a beast for Alabama the way he is tearing it up and just set another record for Alabama that will talk about in a second. But this game pretty competitive and interesting between these two teams Oklahoma state a team a little bit different from this season compared to last but still on the money in some ways, they've had some close losses West Virginia. Trying to put some more points on the board before they hit the halfway point. But they're getting pretty close to that Boston College in the same scenario in Florida state a few minutes, they'll be in the locker room these see on top of. Florida state and a low scoring game. Looks like a baseball game. Seven three is a score in that game. And it's been a whole lot of getting into the red zone and not being able to convert or not even getting into the red zone. Just trying to move the chains. More significant when you talk about a top four team Michigan right now and important one third and five at their own forty five yard line. A michigan. Again in the top four trying to make it to one of the semi final games trailing. Indiana seven six a whole lot of time before they get to the halfway point of the game over a little over eleven minutes there. And so like, I said a whole lot of football left to the played Georgia slapping UMass as you would have expected they would at number five twenty eight to seven the stat line for Jake Frahm, not quite over one hundred yards passing yet. Almost there though when a touchdown Georgia last year, of course, getting to the promised land, but not being able to convert against Alabama. Would they love to be in the conversation? And of course, they are at five who's to say what will happen here at the tail end of this season. And then you look at Washington and Oregon state of Pac ten matchup Washington, smothering Oregon state, twenty one two three five minutes or so left in the first. So a lot of football left to be played there and Washington's Jake Browning forty yards passing and a touchdown one of his favorite receivers. Aaron fuller, the recipient one catch seventeen yards and that TD now games that wrapped up Alabama and the citadel if I told you at the halfway point they would were tied at ten would not be shocked. You would right by Bama, husky. Cels comes back. Big time takes advantage of mistakes. Even recovered a fumble for TD and to three hundred and forty yards passing and four touchdowns. So that is a record thirty one TD's in that blow out of the second half of the citadel huge for them. Ohio State almost upset by Maryland. But almost in the big ten Ohio State wins this in overtime, though. Fifty two to fifty one Maryland, MRs on a two point conversion and the buckeyes really survive that game Dwayne Haskins four hundred and five yards passing and three touchdowns guarantee. Urban Myers the thanking his lucky stars because they got Michigan coming up next. They're hosting that is the game of the season for them because they could spoil Michigan's run to try. Try to make it if if they win today's game to try to make it into one of the semifinal games, certainly Ohio State ten and one seven one who's to say not looking that way. But you never know Florida sixty three over Idaho. Ten not a surprise. They put up twenty eight points Florida did in the first quarter and then twenty one in the second. Well, you get the gist here. They were never in this. And they weren't expected to be if you looked at the line Penn State. These Rutgers maybe not by much because he would have looked at this and thought it would be a higher to the twenty-seven score big ten matchup. Rutgers so much work to be done at that at that school in recruiting, etc. At one in ten and of course, knowing in the big ten or they're going up against it was going to be like that in the beginning years, and it is trace McSorley one hundred and eighty three yards passing and a couple of T D's. I want to finish out some of the winds northwestern significant in the big ten seven and won. They beat Minnesota twenty four fourteen the Wildcats keep it going. Boy, they have a big fan base. Mississippi State in an SEC game. Over Arkansas fifty to six close. It wasn't expected to be close the game of the day that I think will be the game of the day and be a close. One is Texas only favored by two and a half points over Iowa State. And you look at that offense of Texas versus what I was state can put up, and honestly, that's that number is a good number and a good indication that if things play out the way they could play out between those two clubs tonight. It'll be worth putting a dent or two in the couch because you know, we got so much football coming up a very big stretch. That's important both in pro football. And in college when you get to Thanksgiving Day is it not the best some of the games that we're gonna see next week. And this is like just another warm up to that. I think for Texas the fact that they're in the top twenty in fact at fifteen it couldn't be a bigger the over under on that game is forty nine and a half points, by the way. So you look at. You look at both of these teams. And this is at Darrell k Royal Texas memorial stadium. Boy, I've been there for some games in Austin is so loud when the crowd is into it. So if they get on the board I and they get in the red zone, and they can score then it's going to be incredibly loud. They do have a way of blowing the lid off that place. If there was a lid on it. It's incredible. And that's what they'll look to do. They have to avoid the mistakes that's been one of the Kelly's heels in some of the games for Texas, not overall. But in some of the games that has been should be pretty interesting. I'll say that we've only scratched the surface my friends so much more to go on this show, including a conversation with one of my favorites. Brian Baldinger former offensive lineman and NFL analyst will talk to him. Former eagle we'll talk to him about pro football and college football is well hang with us. "Update starts now. No luck needed for the Irish, I'm Jeff. And the second half of the Big Apple underway. Number three, Notre Dame, handling number twelve. Syracuse at Yankee Stadium twenty three to nothing with about three fifty five left to go in the third. There was all almost a big upset in the big ten as number ten Ohio State needed overtime to knock off Maryland fifty two to fifty one after the turps went for the win. And then missed on a two point. Try a bad. Start in Tuscaloosa top-ranked, Alabama was actually tied with the citadel at halftime ten ten the tide. Eventually got rolling in the second to win fifty the seventeen to a tongue of Loa breaking bama's single season touchdown record with thirty one. And that was okay for Nick Sabin. I thought he played pretty well. I think it was eighteen for twenty two and for a guy that most people in playing a game. I thought he responded really well by taking the challenge and going out there and dove the best team and all of our fans. Well, they come to the game, stay employees. So I think that's fair that he goes out and competes like every other player on our team. I thought he did a good job in a game. Well, right now at the big house number four Michigan is trailing Indiana seven to six early in the second quarter number five Georgia, Oliver UMass twenty eight seven number nine West Virginia leading it. Oklahoma state twenty one to fourteen and number twenty Boston College is leading in Tallahassee over Florida state seven two three coming up tonight. Number two, Clemson will be home to take on Duke and number eleven UCF will go for twenty three in a row against number twenty four Cincinnati NBA tonight. Lebron of the Lakers will go for five wins in a row there in Orlando. The Celtics will play the jazz and the warriors will try to get right in Dallas. But they're going to have to do. "All right. It was filled. The big game of the fact, I was building it up. No question about that. Notre dame. Salad for Notre Dame. Based on some of what I saw Syracuse. Darren. Eric Dungy out of this game quarterback bird? And Notre Dame beat them twenty enough and at the halfway point so much different outcome. So far than what I expected I thought it was going to be seriously a much different game. And that whole evaluation of the upper body injury to Dungy is a big part of the story. But. Still I would give so much credit to what Notre Dame has been able to do and they're doing it. Well, Ian, Ian book has been such a big part of their offense and made a huge difference, obviously for them. And we're seeing that on display Scott Seidenberg you hear him here on NBC sports radio is at this game at Yankee Stadium. Scott good for you has it been first of all before we get into the game hasn't been fun to be there. Of course, there's any time you get some of these unique atmosphere is that exist in college sports, or in any sport. It's always fun to be an attendant for chair. Mark series has been incredibly successful for Notre Dame and another successful event your inky stadium. Yeah. So what's been the story? So far Notre Dame smothering Syracuse, and I know part of that is because of the arch quarterback Dungy being out with that injury. Yeah. And of course, that the story of the game is Notre Dame dominating offense compared to just one hundred and thirty percents Houston the first half, you mentioned don't you go out of the game. That was one of the match. I really interested to see play out because defense has been great this season. Only two quarterbacks passed for over three hundred yards against them. I was very I was looking forward to seeing Eric Dungy could go up against this Notre Dame secondary. Because they haven't ceased the quarterback like Eric punchy. This season. But she can to a lot of Syracuse people here don't tell you that term devito is actually better pure passer when it comes to the two quarterbacks on that circus offense. And so they actually in bitching, the situation in this game that both quarterbacks would play in this offense giving the fact that the veto opens up the patch a little bit more. But I don't think anybody expected him to come in due to an injury. Eric, don't you sort on you? Yeah. Boy. No kidding. So it could be a tale of two different half's. Who knows what? Syracuse retool. What happens when they come outta the locker room for for this one, and you talked about the shamrock series and how it's been so successful for Notre Dame. And there's a ton of people I grew up outside of New York and Philly and been to Yankee Stadium for special events, and you see that there certainly is Sarah Cue's fans and Notre Dame fans in the area who've come there is it's jammed. It's about eighty percent. Notre Dame fans. Because I thought that given Syracuse is representation in the New York market factors. Alumni that live in New York City metropolitan area. I thought it would be more more Syracuse fans here, but it isn't Ordine home games for the ticket to go through Notre Dame. But winds to get into the gates for the player will call. And what that means is also the tickets that players reserved for their friends in their family that line was around the block of Notre Dame's friends and family here. You can just imagine that they are. Throwing up the tilting. It's about eighty percent Irish fans here. Wow. I'm just like you said, I'm really really stunned by that. But how fun for you? Aren't you? Scott. Aren't you originally from deer from the east coast? Aren't you from New York, New York City, born and bred? Yes for you. That's a lot of fun. Well, thank you so much for jumping on with us. Have a great Turkey day. Enjoy kate. Thanks. So there you go. He's he's right. Exactly my son. And what he said was brilliant about the Notre Dame and the secondary, etc. And Eric Dungy? I agree that I kept touting this matchup thinking, what was going to happen here. And we didn't see it. And then his talking about the observation that eighty percent of the fans are from Notre Dame not Syracuse. That is definitely not what I would have thought either knowing that Sarah, Sarah Cue's has so many people in New York City, so many alums half of them. My friends went to Syracuse. And I thought for sure that we would see a much different kind of game when we looked at it wouldn't be so much of the fighting Irish. But boy how about that. How about this West Virginia on top of Oklahoma state right now this score in this game? Twenty one to fourteen West Virginia has the ball right now will Greer with a fresh set of downs? First in ten at their own forty five. What was kind of cute? And I just saw this known on a couple of different tweets that Oklahoma state one hundred Gary Buzek because this is they're playing this in in Oklahoma. During a time out all season long. I guess the Cowboys have been using view sees screaming face in the end zone. The Jumbotron as a distraction to opposing offenses. Oh, how clever clever is that? My nephew went to Oklahoma state. They really do have some crazy school spirit there but a much different season than last year at five and five and two and five in the big twelve compared to last season they were really part of the equation. A lot of conversation about them other scores to throw at you, Indiana and Michigan this is at the big house Indiana on top. They scored a touchdown nail that extra point seven three more than midway through the first quarter of this shape. Patterson, of course, is a superstar quarterback with a quarterback Jim Harbaugh wanted and got we'll see what he leaves the wolverines to at number four. This is of course, a big game for them. All the games are big. And then they've got Ohio State coming up, and that's always a huge rivalry. When you play Ohio State. I went to school in Ohio, and I can't tell you how many of those games I went to between those two squads, and it was so fun this year. It's at Ohio State. So it's gonna be fun to to watch. Happens there, and that's a very important game for Michigan. But guess what they can't look beyond Indiana because they got to get through Indiana first, and then get by Ohio State to stay where they could be possibly in that final four and actually compete for a national title, the wild for them, Florida state. Willie taggart. I think could still be the answer as the coach for Florida state. But boy they've had a really rough season. Three zip over Boston College right now. And they're about eight and change until they hit the halfway point of that game. The Andre Francis for its walk one hundred and eight yards passing but two interceptions for the seminal quarterback making part of the difference when they had a chance to drive down the field, Georgia fourteen UMass seventeen they're in the top of the second quarter. Now at this point Jake from twenty six passing yards so far for Georgia Georgia at five hoping that they'll still be back again this time around and have a shot at another national title, take a shot at a title anyway last year knocked out by Alabama. Of course, Washington seven Oregon state nothing and this is just a couple of minutes in. To the game. Just scoring a touchdown. And making next report as I speak as we motor through this. When we come back on the flip side what's happening in the NFL another big week in the NFL after the Packers lost to the Seahawks. What are those early games? Look like the Cowboys in the falcons Panthers in the lions gonna talk about that hang with us, Kate Delaney, NBC, sports radio NBC, sports radio dot com..

"Radio. You're smart now buckle your seatbelts. Delaney show. A couple that are winding down in. Ohio. Jane, bitten, Maryland dive. NFL here on this version of the show. Part of what's included, of course, will be fantasy as my fantasy opponent is actually with me in Culver city at our studios flawed Lewis saints, and I am on the opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm in the Dallas Fort Worth area in our plush studios there. So coming up in our next segment. We'll talk about fantasy football. I have three teams and my lousy esteem is the NBC team. I think some of what happened was my draft was so poor. And my running backs are awful. But there is a Ray of hope just a Ray of hope not winning much of anything just saving my pride. I suppose we'll talk about that. I know that you can relate to that many of you because you've sent me emails telling me about what your teams are doing. But first, let's dive back into the scoreboard and get you up to date on the games that are going on as I just mentioned the buckeyes. And Maryland in OT. It's it's interesting how that all shakes out because that game was I mean that game is crazy about high-scoring deal between the Turks and the buckeyes is not what I would have expected heading into this by any stretch of the imagination. And then you got Utah twenty four Colorado seventy had a big day in Colorado, actually, college football wise, Utah right now for the fourth and five at Colorado's thirteen fourteen minutes and change left in the game for Utah. Jason shell. He's been pretty good. I've seen bits and pieces of this. So two hundred twenty one yards passing and a couple of T D's. The big story is Syracuse Notre Dame. Notre Dame was favored by ten heading into this game at Yankee Stadium. Notre Dame leading right now twenty nothing. They are under five minutes before they. They hit the halfway point of that game. Syracuse quarterback. Eric Dungy is being evaluated for an upper body injury. And he is questionable to return. That is a big part of the story. And also the play of Ian book the quarterback from Notre Dame two hundred thirty eight yards passing and a touchdown for him. We'll keep you up to date on that Notre Dame. Boy, the Notre Dame faithful are out full force. But so are the Orangemen and Notre Dame with this great chance to make it into one of those semi final games where can't take that away from. They'd actually be vying for a national title, though, it seems almost ridiculous to say that doesn't it when we talk about Alabama, and who I think will be the definite Heisman winner to three hundred and forty yards passing. And again how many touchdowns for four touchdowns. Although even though it was a fifty seventeen blowout win of the citadel. If you just look at the score. Board that doesn't tell the story in the first half. They were tied at ten going into the locker room, you can bet Nick Sabin. His face was red light tomato is probably ready to explode, and whatever he said to them when they came out it was much different after that. But it shows you there's a little vulnerability. But I think you know, when you look at Alabama specially in the second half of all of their games is a lot of times they explode. Although they've also had games where nobody can score anything on them. And to is just riding the pine basically in the fourth quarter also underway Georgia at number five. A lot of people in Athens for this excited about their season coming off of last year where they get into the title game of Georgia and UMass right now Georgia jest scoring a touch down. And it was Tyler Simmons. Forty nine yards rushing touchdown. And they're on the board. I pending the kick butt six nothing right now. A couple of minutes into the game. Boston colleges in the top twenty five thanks to the college football selection committee, and they're taking on Florida's state in an ACC game scoreless. So far they are more than midway through the first West Virginia with another quarterback. I like in will Greer West Virginia and Oklahoma state midway through the first there and West Virginia has a seven zip edge so far in that game, Utah state and Colorado state. It said it was a big day in Colorado. They are tied at ten tied at ten there. Midway through the third midway through the third Colin hill the quarterback for CS you two hundred and fourteen yards passing and one interception. One inner. Reception. So games that have wrapped up games that have wrapped up. What I think is going to be the best one on the board later northwestern continues twenty four fourteen over Minnesota. So there they take yet. Another win in the big ten Mississippi State fifty to six over Arkansas SEC game as Mississippi State extend to the top twenty five at twenty one seventeenth ranked Kentucky beating middle Tennessee. The score may be a little bit of a surprise thirty four twenty three was the the margin of victory their Penn State in the big ten at fourteen taking on Rutgers in New Jersey. Twenty seven win trace McSorley one hundred eighty three yards and a couple of touchdowns for the Nittany lions quarterback Florida beats Idaho, sixty three to ten sixty three two. Ten. So gator fans are always out in full force. No matter what. And they were out for this game for sure especially because for some they have the week off and others are coming back. A lot of times wrapped around Turkey day. People take extra time off. So I heard it was just a crowded crowded house. Not surprised by that whatsoever. Throughout the show as I said, we will weave in scores and let you know what's happening as we motor along and give you some of those little fun sports nuggets. And also talk about then that's with college football. And also talk about this week in the NFL and some of the injuries and the impacts of those the impact of those injuries, and the fact that we could see, and I I love the idea of this. And I hope that's what happens with the ravens. Joe flacco is very doubtful for Sunday's game. And who he's got a right hip injuries. Who's going to step in there? Wouldn't it be great to see I think Lamar Jackson who I think is going to be ended up being an incredible fine for them, by the way one of the best quarterbacks. I think chosen in the draft. But the rookie first rounder where we see him or do we see Robert Griffin the third R G three does he start? And he hasn't started in two years in about two years. What does he what's what's Harbaugh gonna do which direction is he going to to shift? I'm thinking boy. Wouldn't it be great? If he went with the rookie, but the more experienced guy is our G three. He's been inactive all nine games. So far this year and you look at the kind of season the ravens are having roof. Not the kind of season they thought they were going to have. That's for sure we're gonna step aside. They're gonna come back and talk a little fantasy football here on NBC sports Radi. Jio NBC sports radio dot com. Wanna.

"Radio because our game never stops that Laney show. Later this hour. Bounce around and fill in the blanks. On a couple of things that are happening in the world. Imagine that base focused on Notre Dame. And this whole Yankee Stadium thing. And I am too. I get it. I was when I saw that this was happening, and I've got a nephew that goes. Syracuse Griffin Goldstein he's in the crowd. Probably very disappointed telling me how Syracuse was really getting up for the game. So Syracuse backup just a quick note here Tommy devito went back into the field for a second possession after Eric Dungy was hurt. And that's the deal is he going to be available for the rest of the game. We're keeping an eye on that story. And it's a shame. If he's not available for that. So we look at news from this week in the NFL, and there's a couple of different things, of course, injuries always play a part of fantasy football if your fantasy football player, but if you're just a fan same thing and watching your team we knew this last week with Joe flacco is doubtful and the raven so far have not said going to start at QB against the Bengals John Harbaugh is not listing who that is. Not saying who the starting quarterback is even if the Saturday practices in those discussions. So who was going to be could be Lamar Jackson. The first rounder who was picked the rookie or and he would make his first NFL start or could be RG three who would start for the first time in two years flip a coin which way do you go. I'm gonna say I go with Lamar. It's my choice. I'm going to go with Lamar Jackson. But he has not said so the answer to that riddle is we don't know at this point. And how about the Packers after yet another loss crazy season from Green Bay, Wisconsin? A lot of conversation about the Packers dropping to four five and one including oh and five on the road blanked on the road. So now the questions are about Mike McCarthy's future. And what does he say when he's asked that to his face with a gag? Will of reporters around him. Of course, he's going to say, I'm focusing on what we're doing and what's happening and I'm committed to twenty eighteen and in in his time with the Packers eleven seasons nine playoff appearances one Super Bowl title in that time. So what are the expectations? Should they make a change in the in? What do they do with McCarthy? He's actually contract it through twenty nineteen. He signed a one year extension late last season. And what is the team president? Mark Murphy decided to do what are they decide to do? Next year with the Packers. And why are the Packers? The Packers have any kind of hope, it's you know. And then there's sort of spreading this word that we still have hope what kind of hope is that when you look at the way they're playing and how they're slipping off in some of these some of these games. And the injury list of courses is is long. You got Jimmy Graham with a broken thumb, and you've got all kinds of injuries across the board. Whether it's defensive tackle Mike Daniels with his foot, whether we're talking about Hammy problems for Kevin king and Randall Cobb. I mean, the list goes on and on in fact, here's what Aaron Rodgers had to say about being hopeful. Come on. What kind of question is? Roar..

"At four winds casino in south bend along with Adam dollar and crisp black childhood with you as we lead you into nerdy. Football's a take on Florida's state as a five thirty pre game right here on the home of the Irish ESPN one thousand and Adam undefeated Notre Dame will be without a quarterback. He and book. Brandon wimbush will get the start against the Knowles today. Even though Jerko fill your bitch. The freshman quarterback is what are the win. But when when Bush was the quarterback in the first three games of the season. He was solid. He was not prolific. But he was solid there. Do you see a difference at quarterback with wind Bush after all this time being away and not being the starter? I think that they'll be fine with against Florida state. I don't think they're very good on defense. I think this is a different time for Florida state is different Florida state team. Then we're used to in the past. They've kind of they know where they are this season. They're wrapping it up this season. I have to. I believe that if this was the college football playoff that invoke would find a way to get on the field. And I think that this is a good place much like we've seen with the bears with clean immaculate. This is a good place to rest him and get him healthy, and Brandon wimbush will be fine. He's been a starter before he knows how to handle the offense is he as effective as Ian book. No. But he knows he can be a decent game manager as long as it's turned over the ball. Their defense will carry them. They have one of the best defense in the country, and they should be finding is Florida state. He knows how to handle the offense. But we do know in the first three games of the season when he played one touchdown for interceptions. They beat Michigan Boston vandy. And then the offensive output really stepped up when book came into the game so dramatically different offense with wind Bush in there. So I get it. He knows what he's doing. And as a spot start. I think they'll be fine especially against Florida state today. But golly, you nail down the head for the games where it's going to matter more they will need in book in there, especially if they're planning on getting to the playoff and winning in the playoff, and I think. The advantage for the fighting Irish today is the fact that Florida state's been a mess. They're four and five there two and five in the ACC the teams that they've lost to Virginia Tech. Syracuse Miami, Clemson NC state, some of those things are pretty good. None of them are pushovers. So Florida state even though having a down year and a tough year for Willie Taggart and all the things going on with that program. It's not just an automatic win today, especially when you're backup quarterbacks in there. All right. Let's have a thorough breakdown Notre Dame and Florida state Notre Dame vs Florida state. So Trevor manage from college game day on ESPN radio talked about the difference between in book, Brandon wimbush. It's a fall off in style. David because book is a much better passer. He unleashes the capability of those terrific Irish receivers and tight ends because he gets the ball with them quickly. When they've got a step to be able to now make one guy miss break out into the open field. He's also plenty good enough runner to do a lot of things on the ground. It'd be a threat. But he's mostly at threat with his arm mostly because he Abel's those guys on the edge. Brandon wimbush isn't nearly as good a passer. He's okay. But he's more of a runner and thinking about wimbush is that as a runner he's one of the best running quarterbacks in the country. We talk a lot about what he doesn't do. Well, but I think it's important to remember what he does do well on the ground. He is phenomenal. Now, I guess Michigan that first happy through some great passes. But then he started he's been inconsistent with his arm, but you turn loose on the ground with Dexter Williams is one of the best running backs in the country. All of a sudden that makes a one two punch of the running game. That is still a potent force for the Irish. And so he's got a lot of experience. And there are things that he does extremely well. I think that because Adam the offense has been able to definitely get better under Ian book. I think that definitely means that we're going to see some improvement from win Bush. We remember the first three games, they weren't bad games. But they were pedestrian games offensively. And this is why the switch was made. Brian Kelly said at one. I just couldn't sleep. I was going back and forth. Who should I start a quarterback because in order for us to be even in the mix for the final four despite the victories. If you're not winning in impressive fashion. You're not going to be able to be considered. And so I think that with wimbush as a quarterback today. I see some improvements as far as running the football him to connect connected. Who is receivers it won't be the book type outing offensively. But it'll be better than the first three games. I agree with you. And I think that Brian Kelly saw the writing on the wall with Alabama. And he saw the writing on the wall with Clemson. And you look at Clemson putting up seventy seven points last week. You look at Alabama and their offensive output with two quarterback and what they've been able to do with their offense. They're extremely scary. And he looked at his team. And he said, yeah, we can be a decent team with Brandon wimbush. But when it comes down to it, we got to put up points. We can't just win gains by three we can't just win games by touchdown. We have to go out there. And we have to have style points. We need to look good, and we need to become as efficient on offense as we are on defense in the answer to that is so far. It's been in book. Absolutely. And you know, consider this Brian Kelly throughout the years has made mistakes in season with quarterback juggling and figuring out which guys the hot hand and who he should play. He's figured it out for the better this season. And it's really the first time that he's done the right thing with quarterbacks in season. So you know, he sees the other teams he sees what Dabo Sweeney did at Clemson. Switching out two Trevor Lawrence you see what Tunga bylaws done, and they do have to keep up offense to be in the conversation now without even book today. The one thing we need to obviously point to is the fact that defensively the third best defense in the country in SNP. Plus the Notre Dame fighting Irish going against an offense that's been atrocious this season. So Florida state comes in with little to no effort on offense. That's going to be able to put points on the board against one of the best defences in the entire country. So you start backup quarterback. And we know the difference is between book and wimbush. But really it's going to come down to the play of the defensive side of the ball for for. The fighting Irish against floor say today, that's what it's gonna come down to right because the floor state can't score wimbush can just kind of go through the game. And just don't make any big mistakes and the fighting Irish win today. Chicago's college tailgate on ESPN one thousand ESPN app. Jonathan Adam Chris with you broadcasting live from our favorite place for wins casino in south bend on your way to the game. Or if you're gonna come back from the game. Stop by the four winds casino in south bend, a terrific place. Can't you keep Grylls where we are? When you go into the building you turn to the left always to the far left and you'll see the key grill. Great food and great atmosphere here every time we come to the grill for four winds casino. So from Florida state standpoint, and Adam I'll hold you to this. So Adam told us a couple of weeks ago that more than likely this'll be the end for Florida state when he any games based on their schedule. Right. You felt so I think that Willie Taggart here's what's really weird about college football. So Florida's day comes into this game four and five a couple of wins away from being bowl eligible. And so and so. Even though they've had losses against tech. They won by ten against Sanford that game was actually closer than the ten because that was a tough game for floor against Stanford. It's called much closer to the to say so loss against Syracuse loss against Miami loss against Clemson munc- state. We've lost three of their last four. But here's the thing that we look at here in boy anytime that you are on your foot on one banana peel and the other one almost out of a job Willie Taggart already has given up his play calling duties to his offense, coordinator, Walt bell. I mean, it's the middle. The you even try you find yourself in the middle of the season as OC. So I'll ask you again based on the schedule. Yeah. Will there be any more wins can get a fifth win this season? No, no. We'll look who they play. They play Notre Dame today. Then they have Boston College in Florida. Yeah. It's tough find a win. Well, I mean Florida's not a world beater. They. Could beat Florida. Why can't they be Florida? Florida's top fifteen team. Okay. They're not. No, no. It's not going to happen. Sorta gave them a game today. Lord state has done yet. But then they went out and they scored twenty one unanswered and and won the game. So as of right now, no Florida state's winning another game this season, and for Willie Taggart it's going to take it might take a little bit of time. He's got to see what he has Florida state, and he's got to do some recruiting. And that'll be fine. That'd be back this Florida state quite the homecoming. Well, well, no question is quite homecoming. But the question is is all all the teams in the state of Florida, whereas Florida states because UCF there's UCF there, south Florida. There's Florida Miami Miami. What about lane kiffin the owls where you going to go play for lane lane kiffin the owls to well. How about this? You mentioned the fact that Willie Taggart's giving up the offense coordinator or call play calling duties to the offensive coordinator, how about bell. You know, the reasoning that he said to the media this week to why he's doing it. Because of the team needs them in so many other areas during the game that he just can't handle the playcalling anymore. How about that? Didn't know Hugh Jackson was scratching Florida state Seminoles. So I mean, it's a mess. Their offense is a mess. Dahlia right, he needs time to fix things there. Florida state. It's a homecoming for him. So I doubt he will be out after one year. That's not going to Scott frost isn't going to be out in Nebraska. Right. We all have on time. Y'all can't come in like less miles in with Nick saban's players at LSU. You you can't do that. But he can do that in Kansas. Well, I mean. Dan..

"The numbers are ugly for Florida state seven punts and an interception. Make up there. Eight possessions, thus far they have negative four yards rushing on sixteen attempts sixty nine yards passing. So just sixty five yards of offense compared to two hundred forty seven for. Clemson they've done most of their damage through the air. Trevor Lawrence true freshman is eighteen thirty one for one hundred eighty eight yards and two touchdowns. Both of them going t Higgins the leading receiver for Clemson six catches for sixty two yards. But this about sums it up rack Christian Wilkins, the defensive tackle is out rushing. Florida state right now Wilkins had the big man. Touchdown from one yard out in the second quarter. He's got one yard Florida state has negative. What yard on wanna carry out rush? Florida state. Yeah. I mean, you went through the numbers Ted. I mean, I think here's kind of the way that I look at this. And again, I don't mean to beat a dead horse here. But when you're playing the number two team in the country, and you're unranked let me just read through some things you mentioned at seven points. Eight penalties minus four yards rushing. Sixty five yards of total offense to ten on third down. And no sacks. Just take out the team names, if you're unranked that you're playing a top four team in the country. Can you beat them when not? Your first half performance. You can't do it. So they got thirty minutes left to football. They're going to have to get started early. They're gonna have to put a touchdown on the board right away. We're going to have to hope to get a turnover or to flip it over. If you're Clemson if you don't turn it over and don't get too conservative. You're gonna win the football game. Because you're spotted four score league. That's kind of where we're sit with thirty minutes left to play second half is on the way. Our halftime score. Number two, Clemson twenty eight Florida state nothing. You're listening to NCAA football on Westwood One..
