Speaking with ABC s this week, Mike Mullen said There should be some degree of accountability for those involved. Mullen noted the U. Dozens of police officers are searching of Florida Nature preserve for the fiancee of 22 year old Gabby Petito. A local doctor is offering some advice on what you should watch for. We all got to look out for each other. Dr. Amelia Kulkarni, a cardiologist at Kaiser Permanent Day in Virginia, says for anyone, Heat is hard on the body because your heart is working harder. Your higher risk for things happening to your heart. If you've had a recent heart procedure or surgery, like a stent put in or if you have severe heart disease, and it's Five degrees or hotter out because you probably stay inside doesn't take a lot of heat that to make us worried and watch what medicine you're on. "Your voice all season, and we're going to rely on your expertise a little bit as pretend to the American athletic conference. But also the America east. Let's start with UCF because out of the American we know about Yukon, right, but. Katie Abramson Henderson has done a wonderful job with her UCF nights. Now, they are starting off their first and second rounds in Coral Gables will actually start off with Arizona state Miami. Obviously the host they'll be taking on Florida Gulf Coast. Tell me why you see f may have an opportunity to make it out of Coral Gables and shocked the world, I think it's two words and its take as in KKK writes this dynamic young playmaker for UCF UCLA relies on the defense as there's on the state. So I I agree with some of the other analysts out there that says this game may not get out of the forties. Because and you know, I hate purist. It's a break into watch those who are looking for a lot of points. You may want to go to a different game on the app, but what UCS wants to do. They want to grind it out. They wanna make it ugly. They rely on their defense to create offense. They are. So good. Good at turning you over in scoring and transition, and they were live on those transition points. If it's you can take care of the ball. It's a totally different dynamic for this UCF ball of now where I was impressed in the American doing their games earlier in the season. It was really k- k right as far as the offense of induction getting twenty to thirty points. And then a couple of other players they have four to sixty eight points, while the break thing in the American tournament was that the post players showed up you had Mosconi Kaba who was huge for them. Just as great post presence down low. They're great on the glass, they want to convert off into rebound checking chance points. And so that's why I caught an heiress understate game or this year. I he Amazon state has a little bit more balance to the offense. But it's going to come down the guard plate. I said this that anybody plays UCS if you've got. Agreeance point guards. You got a great chance against UCF because they're trying to create the pace they want. They wanna make it friendship. It was on a state has mature guard play. Yeah. And that's interesting to me. Well, this matchup, especially from a coaching standpoint. I want to ask you a question. Obviously, you have great coaching experience. But you've got Charlie Turner Thorne. I mentioned coach a, you know at this time of year. Do you think it's is it your defense or is it for office? I mean, the women's basketball the game in general is growing. Right. So people are saying, well, you got to be able to score points. You want to be Notre Dame? If you want to be Yukon that kind of thing, but we're looking at two very tough defensive teams like as a as a head coach. What are you really relying on right now at this time of the year when I think this is my age, and that I mean, the head coach and hats, I sometimes think off into starts slow that I ran game. There's nerves you know, some people are just getting legs back under them. You can't afford to dig a big deficit. So if your offense is. Slow to start your defense has the being Solan. And so I I'm just again, even when we made into run you've got to had a strong defense. And then your offense has to show up. And that's one thing. I mean you look at UTA own and whatnot defense travels. Well, if you're gonna win and he's like tournament your defense. Let's get packed and you've gotta have it. And then I also believe it's a matter of possessions this time of year. So you gotta take care of the ball. And you got it create second chance points, wonderful insight. The one thing I will point out before we move onto the America east. Is that UCF Miami Florida Gulf Coast don't have to travel that far AirAsia staff? Other hand is going all the way the Coral Gables..

And you hit the reset button, and you act like it didn't have that's his hope. Should Alabama lose tomorrow? That's a program. It's in a similar circumstance where they're looking around going. Okay. What if buzz Williams comes in? You've got all these other coaches, I wouldn't get rid Avery Johnson. Unless I knew the guy was going to get better. Like if you okay so back to Billy Kennedy. I wouldn't get rid of Billy Kennedy unless I knew I was getting buzzword, right? Avery Johnson has not been great. But I also think you could do worse if you're not they've done plenty done plenty. So I would head Anthony grant who was a major disappointment before that they had mar Godford you may have seen his name in the news lately. But that's the only why wouldn't just let him go. And then do a search. I wouldn't because I think you'll end up with somebody works. Yeah. If you're not care if I mean, I think the days. Of going through the yellow pages after the first round of the tournament. Now Kermit was helped by a major win the coveted. Hey, Hey. does those years. I mean, I'm talking about the stand. He's for the world. Yeah. I don't think you can do that. In my view. I always say this. The biggest mistake teams make is higher in the guy that wins the first round of a game. You wanna get a guy that you know, going to succeed watch guys one is conference two or three straight years. But if you just what you had in the Florida Gulf Coast guy fire. I mean, like they gave him all kinds of money, the Mercer coach can't even remember. We're Florida Gulf Coast guy's name is what is it? What was her nickname was dunk city city? But what was it? I don't Genta Mercer coach get fired this week. Remember, the one that was all we do. Yeah. Mercer coach do can end filled. Everybody knows because his wife was beautiful and it made a big deal, but they hired him at USC never heard of him again. Yeah. So I would say be very very careful, but this league coaching in this league is stepping up. I mean, the coaches in this league are really good. And I think people are about to get left behind if they're not careful. Trying to think who who those well be who you have left. Like, you got the teams all play tonight. You know, you have Missouri. And you have conjured Martin came in here with a with a big reputation a big reputation of being at a school for two or three years, and then going into I mean, you know, ask Tennessee would they rather have bars rather have Collins, Omar, let's good point. "Summer says he was helping his ninety year old mother fill out her absentee ballot. When he went to stuff it into the envelope. And he noticed he had a problem. It didn't fit to white. "He's saying whatever's on his mind, the impact be damned, and you saw that extraordinary Oval Office moment with comu- west. But then you see the serious international crises that he's facing with the disappearance and alleged murder suspected murder of my colleagues emol kashogi in in stunned bowl, the administration, the president has said he wants to get to the bottom of this, but has not indicated that there's any retaliation in store for Saudi Arabia or any sort of effort to push back. Indeed, the Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is planning to attend that investor. Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next week that so many companies have dropped their participation in Jackie. Let's talk about matters domestic, so celebratory mood at the White House Bill of grievances before every rally crowd, you had the Konya moment. And yet this storm rolls through the Florida panhandle, something it hasn't been set off and we should go ahead and say, this didn't hit a lot of ritzy areas. These are regular folks. These are a lot of working poor folks and a lot of people for whom this was. This was their piece of paradise on the Florida Gulf Coast on some of the prettiest coastline we have in this country is this susceptible to blow back because we are hearing interviews with people saying, we're going to need food and water in it's getting desperate. Well, the president has said that, you know, they'll get everything they need, and this is really Trump country there. And you know, I think that he's planning to go as soon as possible. But this week was really a. Disconcerting the extent to which as as Phil was saying that the president was so on such a high and there were all these moments has forty seven minute interview with FOX and friends, and the con- yi- and Jim Brown launch in and three rallies. There'll be a fourth one tomorrow in Richmond, Kentucky was in Ohio tonight and at all of these, it's like, you know, there's a sort of almost pro forma, just check the box reference to the hurricane victims where I think the current toll is seventeen. I hesitate to give a number because it's rising and it's really, you know, in some ways I think to myself, it's good. So many people who don't have power because they can't see that the president and the president. Many of them support is seems to be thinking about everything else. Cynthia, let's start with a poll here because we so often do has the Cavanaugh debate made you more likely to support the Democrats or Republicans. What I'm getting out here is a gender gap among women. Democrats, forty percent Republicans twenty four a lot of no response here in this ball, but Cynthia the question. Do you coming from the law as you do? Was this party willing to sow the seeds of an increasing gender gap to get the victory on Kevin? Well, it looks like that, but that's, you know, that's not really my lane. What I can say from a legal point of view as a woman and as a legal person looking at it, there was a lot at stake here in this cavenaugh appointment for women. There's not only the weather or not. Women will be heard when they're sexual assault, which apparently for the Republican party, they will not be if it gets in the way of power. And there's also the real threat to women in Roe v Wade that that Justice Kennedy was the swing vote on the the cases that came after Roe v, Wade that have protected women's right to privacy and does not appear. The Justice Cavanaugh will vote the same way. So Roe v Wade will either be overturned outright or Robie Wade will be so altered and what is acceptable as an undue burden will be so changed that you won't even recognize it as a right to privacy in many states in this country, and women know that and that's why the Cavanaugh win for the Republicans may not be a long-term win win for them because women are afraid of what the Republicans are giving them a Phil Rucker..

And it's a it's a fairly large hurricane to at a pretty big Winfield. Hurricane and storm surge warnings are up along Florida's Gulf Coast. "And I don't want to speak for everyone. But I don't know if I've ever seen a lifetime movie, featuring the countless missing women and girls from the purse people communities. Yeah. So according to statistics gathered by energy moat. I'm sure I'm pronouncing that wrong, but that's just you know, I can't pronounce people's names, but he's from the Radford university Florida Gulf Coast university serial killer database, while we typically associate Syria photos with white men statistics on US serial killers by race indicate that on average forty percent of serial killers are black and in two thousand ten it was fifty nine percent. Four percent of the world serial killers can be found in the United States. Twenty five percent of US serial killer victims are black seven percent, Hispanic one point eight percent are Asian point five two percent are native. But this is from serial killers. We know and this is and this is only from serial killers. This isn't violence, and this isn't just playing murder victims. According to two thousand sixteen FBI statistics fifty two percent of murder victims in the US are black. Seven percent are black women. Forty four percent are black men and more black men were victims of murder in the United States in two thousand sixteen than all white victims combined. And I don't care if someone is murdered in a in a shooting in their neighborhood if it's a random shooting. I I don't care if I don't care what the circumstances are the fact that the only shows that we see on TV are primarily of white women, overcoming. Any sort of murderer or or featuring white women being murdered doesn't jive with the statistics that we have that fifty two percent of murder victims in the United States are black. So let me give a further example while we've been so focused on the Golden State killer in part because Michelle McNamara book. But also because he was recently caught. I haven't seen nearly the focus on the grim creeper who was arrested in twenty ten who is the grim creeper or grim sleeper. At grew the I know that Grimsley, I I know the conflict Krim, honestly, I've heard that. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Know, it's grim sleeper. Okay. He terrorized south central Los Angeles for almost two duck in the murderer targeted the communities. Most vulnerable women impoverished black sex worker, too he presumed that no one would miss. So he picked victims that know what that he thought. Nobody was going to report were missing from nineteen thousand hundred five to two thousand six these murders were largely ignored by the Los Angeles Police Department until a female crime reporter took an interest in the unsolved crimes in two thousand six. She started covering the city's disregard for these victims in in LA weekly local newspaper, and she exposed how the crimes were brushed under the rug health community organizations were not notified about the Ciller serial killer operating in their area. And how many of the victims families were kept in the dark, and let's compare this to the Golden State killer there. So much media attention even in the seventies and eighties about the Golden State killer. Now, it was just I in a lot of different areas. This was centralize. This was a community that the Los Angeles Police Department did not even notified that they had a serial killer. So while we know a handful of his victims, he kept photos and videos of women who hate we have yet to identify investigators found over a thousand photos and several hundred hours video in its home. The images show mainly black women of a wide age range from teenagers to middle aged to older often nude the photos a lot of the photos were released to the public in an effort to identify women. But only about fourteen of these twelve of these women are known, and I don't wanna get into a pissing conscious about the number of murders committed because every murder victim is important. And I get the at that the grim sleeper was arrested in twenty ten so it's an older story..
