"Hired a quarterback coach today by the name of Brian Johnson. And he was there or get your for the Giants in the Stanford quarterback. Totally different guy guy. Shame. He was a quarterback on the Utah football team in like 2007 or 2000, and they beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. He was the quarterback, and he actually called the plays. And they finished number two in the country. So I was working in solid state at the time and running a station and doing a morning show and he graduated, and I offered him a gig as a radio talk show host. And after contemplating and doing a few shows, he decided this isn't for me, and he got into coaching so long story short. He was at Mississippi State. He coached Dak Prescott. He was the offensive coordinator Florida Florida most recently and then he just got out in the NFL. By the Eagles is their quarterback coach. Had he accepted that job that I had offered him in radio all those years ago, he would be starving still in eating Macarena, but he made a tremendous decision. Got into coaching, and now he's the quarterback coach of the Eagles, and he probably wouldn't take my call.

"Come on. It's amazing, Sensational, dramatic part. Grundy. It's D A's top story goes. It's your cold Open that Woz Oklahoma Radio Toby Roland on the call, and that was Dan Mullen after the game. Saying that the last game Over the 2020 season for the Florida Gators. Was the S E C championship game 11 days ago. Which is weird, because did Kyle Trask play last night? Oh, he did. He did, And he's a Heisman Trophy finalist. He is, he is. Got it. So the starting quarterback Over the Florida Gators was on the field. The best player over the Florida Gators was on the field. The guy that's graduating. The Florida Gators was playing last night, but it wasn't the 2020 40 Gators. It was a start for next season. It was a jump start on next season, even though a guy that won't be your quarterback next season was starting under center. Look, that's an excuse. By DAN Molly. This is a team that pretty obviously didn't want to be here. They had sites of the college football playoff. They were eyeing one of the final four spots, and when they lost two L s u it back them into a corner that they had no room for another loss of the SEC title game. They had to beat Alabama. They didn't They didn't get into the final four, and then they didn't want to play another college football game. That's pretty much the way that it unfolded last night. Because, as Mullen said, they only brought 60 scholarship players to this game out of 85. There were 25 different guys last night that didn't play for either. Injuries, opting out of the game or covert tests. So to say that the last game of the 2020 season for the Gators was 11 days ago. And yet you're still playing guys last night. That won't be part of 2021. I mean, that's really talking out of both sides. Your mouth. It wasn't a complete jump start on next season. It was just a going through the motions because you felt like you deserve to college football playoff bid And then this was really deflating. All the credit in the world to the winner. Okay, so the Oklahoma Sooners took advantage of this, and the Sooners went through much of the same disappointment. They came into the season with aspirations of playing the college football playoff. They didn't get there. Suffer those two losses early and then they didn't end up where they wanted to be either. They played last night, and they balled out of Spencer Rattler was great last night. And so to make the excuse that, you know. Hey. This wasn't our 2020 team. It was for the Sooners, but it wasn't for the Gators. I mean, the fact is that the Sooners wanted to be there. The Gators did not. That's what you saw on the field at also say that for Dan Mullen, look, he has brought that program. Up from the bootstraps very obviously, after urban Meyer it was not up to snuff in Gainesville and Dan Mullen has made them a relevant forced the SEC East and the SEC, which is where they belong as a program. But boys that defense off my God. Did you know that coming into this season? The Gators had allowed 600 yards in a game on defense. Twice in their history. It allowed 600 yards in a game twice in their history. Do you realize that this season alone they gave up 600 yards three times. It happened twice ever coming into the season, and then this year, they gave up 600 yards, three different times. Last night. Spencer Rattler throws for 2 47 in Oklahoma rushes for 4 35. Yeah. That's damn near 700 yards of offense last night. Oklahoma had two running backs over 100 yards and 3/70 yards. The offense is great. The offense will continue to be great in Gainesville. Mullen has proven that much and he got the most of a Kyle Trask this this year. What? Dude, can you fix the defense so that you're not a complete embarrassment that's out of the ball..

Matt Stinchcomb previews Vanderbilt/Tennessee and talks about Sarah Fuller

"Seems like we've talked about tennessee a few times this year and i'm really interested in your view of them and Especially you know trying to shalva season with vanderbilt tomorrow. Am the next week. The schedules obviously been rearranged a little bit. Where are they right now. Bad spot Lots of season in a game vs vanderbilt non place you want to be. If you're tennessee. Football program your rewind all the way to the beginning of the season writing that winning streak and then getting a victory vs south carolina and then going on the road and putting it on missouri. I mean running the football right down their throat to the point where i think it changed. Who missouri was defensively. Going forward made him a better football team kind of steeled their resolve not to have that happen again because tennessee almost two hundred forty seven rushing yards on them in that football game. It's been the same sense. I will have to say that most people. I think observing the program even outside of the quarterback position and the circumstances that all teams have found themselves in this year. This has been really disappointing year for tennessee football. They've got two more shots at. It is a very short handed vanderbilt. Football program could get on the field georgia. It'll be interesting to see if tennessee can put together a convincing performance versus their in state conference member i. i wouldn't even call it. A rival per se for tennessee's perspective although Tennessee vanderbilt had some success versus the balls in recent years. Easy man on talk shows to blame coaches but there is obviously more to it. But as you look at jeremy pruitt and his staff. I'm curious how you would evaluate or analyze some of the decisions especially at quarterback because a lot of people feel like jeremy was was really slow to make a change. Yeah quarterbacks been an interesting adventure for tennessee to say. The least. I mean even last time out versus the florida gators harrison bailey. Obviously getting out there and then comes out of the game briefly. Brian our goes in but then. Jt shrout finishes finishes the game. We haven't seen a lot of either one of those guys. Jt shroud got in earlier. In the season jarod guarantee no Start out rough to say the least versus kentucky and what ended up being a blowout loss at the hands of the wildcats at home. Jt shrout through pass for an interception in that one football game and then to see him late last week and had some success in two series versus the florida gators. But it's it's been kind of all over the place at the quarterback position and largely been that way for two seasons. Really paul when you think about the way. They had to manage the quarterback position last year. And i would argue masterfully. Really given where. Jerry guarantee no been mentally after the gulf called. Qb sneak versus alabama. When tennessee was still very much in that football game ends up going the other direction the idea that they were able to still salvage the back. End of that season was was really impressive from a coaching standpoint. This season the quarterback position has remained an issue to say the least and the lack of consistency and even in the past couple of weeks in harrisonburg getting his first start versus florida a week ago. It's still not a known commodity. We'll talk to tennessee later on today. We've not visited with him yet to find out what exactly can expect to get their quarterback tomorrow versus the commodores one program with a six game losing streak the other with a nine game. I mean i guess there is only. There is some light at the end of the tunnel. That one team has to win. But i mean this. This is a mess. Matt i realize this late in the year and it's a stranger at that but on the other side of vanderbilt. We all know the story pretty well. The coaching change the future unknown. Give us give us your assessment of of where they are right now with with a chance to at least be tennessee. That would that would be big. It'd be huge And it's still going to be an uphill climb. I mean you look at their roster. There's no way they've got fifty scholarship players available in this football game. They're choosing to play the game. It's admirable because vanderbilt different. I think it's well documented that they're different from any of the other member institutions southeastern eastern conference but none more so than in the area of roster roster management in a year where everyone is incredibly lean. This point in time memorable would be lean anyway. Even in regular circumstances they don't have a ton of walk on. There's not a lot of kids lining up to pay that tuition to pay full freight and have that academic rigor. Oh and by the way all week you get a practice. Football games probably never see the field and likely watch. Your teammates get beat down. It's just something that a lot of people are signing up for. They don't have a lot of bodies they don't have a lot of kids to even be able to practice. So it's admirable the vanderbilt's even able to take the field tomorrow. I'll little bit hesitant to say the least. We had them last week in a would be game vs. Georgia got cancelled at noon on friday. It does appear that this game's going to get. Its admirable just enough that the commodores are going to be able to take. The field. Looked like they were turning a corner. Looked like they were going to play better. Football down the stretch. Mississippi state had an opportunity to win. Were undone by turnovers. Still a young quarterback and true freshman kin seals but there last time out versus missouri was a discouraging performance to say the least in. It'll be interesting to see what they're able to cobble together with the personnel. They have available. And what could be their final game of the season if they're not able to get back out there versus georgia we from them. What is the sarah fuller situation for. Tomorrow's best you know as we understand it She will be kicking in football game. We think extra points. is probably the likelihood of win. We will expect to see her in the contest tomorrow but she is available for place kicking duties and it seems as if the point after attempt is the most likelihood most area of likelihood that we could see on the field of play tomorrow. You know there's so much conversation about that. And and i think most reasonable people smiled and we're happy and and celebrated it but you know we both grew up in the south and there are certainly narrow views of what happened. I'm curious just to somebody who played this game at the highest level is also reasonable your thoughts on when it happened. And what you'll see you tomorrow. Yeah you know as a father of daughters the whole thing. The more opportunities The better in that regard. I will say that circumstances in many ways. I don't wanna say forced but created the opportunity for this to have happened in credit sarah fuller for wanting to take advantage of that. I do think that you know the attention that it still garnering. The fact that things have seemingly settled down around the fact that there's a female kicker in a power five game is only help not only her ability to contribute with that football team but the team in general because as we know it is unique and can be a distinct distraction in some ways. A positive distraction but distraction nonetheless and from what we gather and it makes sense that because some time has passed. And maybe perhaps because vanderbilt didn't take the field last week vs georgia. The things have kind of settled down and interestingly and rather quickly surf or has assimilated into that football team and program not an easy thing to do late in the year But i think that speaks to some of the positive elements of this as much as anything else squib make a field goal point after was the fact that she is seemingly a member of the football team and not a novelty. I think that's really where the progress would ultimately be made the fact that so much attention has been garnered around it. That's fine for the first time but if progress is actually being made and if we're opening up our eyes and broadening our rises and just playing the best potential players in these capacities then at some point in time it shouldn't be a novelty to just be something that should be expected. We're not there yet. That's not the case but we're closer this week than we were two weeks ago when she first took the field versus missouri

"A gamble in motion to the left. He's the tight end here line up on the left side. Now, Grimes goes in motion that way to a SW Florida looks to add to its lead. There's a hand off the right running behind that offensive line. On first down, he plows ahead for about four yards running left Kobe made attack. I should mention Florida's got four senior starters on that offensive line. Four guys. Florida Gators have never beaten Georgia, right. They're all in three. This is their last chance for that offensive line knows that they're in the fourth quarter, and now you can see the way they're blocking for their backs. 50 year, seniors up front played a lot of football that gots experience of Yes, there. There want their career to go out on a note where they can say that Not only did they beat Georgia, but they beat him handedly. But still we mentioned still plenty of time left in this game. 11 52 to be exact. 41 28. Gaiters with the lead they driven down to the 24 yard line. There's trash. He's thrown 40 today. Calls for the ball takes the snap hands right and he gets bottled up right along the line of scrimmage, and that's really caring. It's gonna be a two yard loss, a rare tfl tackle for loss. The Georgia Defence. Wholesale changes once again for Georgia. They've been out on the field again a long time on this drive. Going to get some guys back into the game that fresh, especially at this critical third down, try to get a stop. However, people Florida's got a kicker that kick through the uprights about anywhere on the field. Originate from a 26 yard line for the Gators driving to our right down the South End zone here in Jacksonville. The blitz is on track to throw gets it out of there in a hurry, and it's through the hands in complete of the intended receiver Shorter. On the left sideline, and the dogs finally do get to stop Trask after that throw ends.

"McPherson has given the Florida Gators of 41 21 lead over Georgia here in this annual rivalry in Jacksonville. The kickoff for MacPherson A line drive. This time goes out of bounds on the fly. That'll be a penalty and that's a break for Georgia Boyle boys, They need one. They don't help just five first downs for this game and in a city full of boats here in the coastal area of Florida, they're getting boat race to the moment they are. They take advantage of this field position. Sometimes you don't get those gifts where Ward is going to help you out, giving the ball to 35 yard line. Their offensive has not been able to do a whole lot recently. They're gonna have to find a way. Otherwise, this one's going to get really far out of hand the way that Florida is marching up and down the field. It is the best rice start for the dog since second possession, just their own 35 yard line. Let's see what the dogs had him down. 41 21 early in the third. Play. The second half is a run to Zameer. White puts his shoulders down and gets ahead four yards. Brad Stuart Judi from New Orleans makes the tackle. Oddly enough, That's just the fourth carrying the game for Sameer White, because, remember, he had that opening touchdown of 75 yards and then They found themselves behind quickly. They have to throw the football table well, but they gotta find a way to get him involved in the game. But find a way to troops. Guards go too tight ends receivers to the left. One back is white back to throw his Bennett buyers to the far side of the field, connecting with Germaine Burton, Young man from Southern California scampers for the first down ahead of the 47 yard line. Right in front of Jason Hill. It's an eight yard throw and catch the person who was still a lot of time in this game, But at some point we're gonna have to start with a little bit more tempo, especially if they're able to get into the end zone because you have to match points here with the Gators. Defensively, Georgia just not been able to slow down. You continue to put together a drive. His four points offensively on a 41 27 run at the moment to use a basketball term in the seven was a pick six Georges offense has been stagnant since early Read it This time throws it over the middle, and there is nobody home. I think he was trying to connect with That ball was thrown over everybody. Maybe it looked like he was going in the direction of the city side on coming across the middle of that ball's thrown way over his head. It sure doesn't look like she's favoring his shoulder. But that's second or third throw that we've seen that really has not been in the vicinity of one of his receivers. Otherwise, Zachary Carter, who was suspended for the first half after the fight, he had that game last week against Missouri is in Beautiful Tampa number 17 and white getting his first action game, so he's got some fresh legs to rush the passer, but keep it on the ground. No, it's a play thing. And then it has to be put away, throwing it in, complete down the left sideline. That was Zachary Carter, who had the pressure on just talked about him getting back into the game, so he should be fresh and he gets in the back field. That kind of force. Let's have been it outside the pocket. Zachary Carter going against war? McClendon right tackle just able to kind of muscle in to get around him. Get up on important. Third down. George is going to stay on the field here. 3rd and 10 are going in the third quarter. Gators 41 Bulldogs 21 just shy of midfield on the marker line is the 47 yard line. They get all the way to the Florida 43 for the first down. Listen, Pierre Jackson and most of the right side and Bennett backpedals throw once again, swings it down the field and it's intercepted on the 35 yard line. Gators get it back. That was with the interception first turnover today by the dogs and the Gators have possession. Coming into the game. We talked a little bit about the interceptions have been issued for Stetson Bennett. Now this time he ends up throwing the ball behind his receiver once again get out of the pocket, but he should have been able to try to put this one down low into the hands of his receiver. Instead, it's picked off by my ear. I'm out on the field. Gators 41, Georgia 21. You're listening to a football on Westwood one Hey, it's your homie. Sorry. It's your home. I know you don't.

Former FSU coach Bobby Bowden, Arizona’s Sumlin positive for virus

"Saw a notice notice in about an hour ago, the media started talking about it. Legendary football coach Bobby Bowden has now got Cove in 1990 years old. That's tough. I listen, I am a Miami hurricane. The rivalry with Florida State. I can't stand the Florida Gators. Sorry, but one just my personal There are a few football teams. I just can't deal with Steve Spurrier ruined me for the Gators. But I will say that I've always had nothing but respect for Bobby Bowden, not just what he accomplished, but how he accomplished. I thought he was a class act. He always treated me very well when we would go to his coaches camps. And 90 years old Covert. 19 says he feels fine. He'll see how the next day the next couple of days work out for him, You know, to bring it a little closer to home. I just read it was just reported by Tyler Drake in our Web team. That theory Zona Wildcats head football coach Kevin Someone is now positive. Wow. Now old is coach someone I don't know the answer to that in the late forties. I was gonna say 50 50, but I'm still a relatively young guy, especially compared about about this was in the hospital had have assert a little bit of surgery had had the cancer's removed from his skin. He's 90 years old, So he's in a much more risk your category Someone is 56, okay? Yeah. So that stuff, so I wonder what they do is they get ready to play football? Pac 12 gonna play football soon? Yeah, his quote says in adherence with all university protocols, Coach Sumlin entered self isolation. Immediately. Contact tracing began in earnest. And he has not experienced things that this is not how humans talk. By the way. I know what I say, because, well, if it was forced isolation that's called kidnapping. Of course it was. It was self isolation. I am feeling well and will be engaged in our ramp up activities on a virtual basis until I complete the isolation protocol.

"Man Okay. So we've got all this massive gun control legislation which I'm assuming. That this is going to veto once it hits his desk, roll it into something else and he doesn't see it. I mean. Does anybody else you positive outcome here other than I'll just say it an open civil war. Mean I feel like I feel like patience like like those are the Sierra on the on the on the conference. Are being, backed into a corner. Yeah we're basically damned if we do. We're damned if we don't any anybody want to comment on that. No Matt Aspect. Mark Yeah. Well, the thing is like you hope it doesn't cover some this ridiculous. Of course. By, by thing is I would I guess probably is right now I don't know. Civil. War who against who? In other words, how would how would you distinguish I'll be okay Tepa. Got It the OH black lives matter. Got It. But. How do you distinguish? You gotta be. That's a great question. That's the real. That's a real problem is that we're facing a A faceless boogeyman to keep us all in our homes and isolated from one another. We've got blatant constitutional no violations from New York California including the first second third amendments. Fourth amendment. I mean and they're just they're not apologetic about it. They're just in your face to. Has. Closed Down Churches and locked Rock Jewish people out of their own parts. What's his name from says. Yeah. Is violating blatantly violating the first. Amendment people they can't sing in. Church. Are you kidding me. I mean, I'm not a religious separation of church and state. Well and second of all I mean, how does anybody look at that and not go holy shit let the lawsuits commence. Honestly So, now here's the thing I. WanNa Make It. I WanNa make it very clear for the audience and even those in the group I am not advocating for an open civil war where we start shooting. Okay. I would also like to say here only for myself but I believe that that I do not believe in the Black Lives Organization the Black Lives Matter Organization. I believe in the message black lives matter just as much as every other life and we should all be equal before the law we should be overseas equal treatment especially before the law. But. I'm not going to back a group that is Marxist and comes out and basically says it if you don't give us what we want, we're GONNA burn the system that the ground. I mean all here. Again, I mean if you have said organization that is in fact, baking a threat whether they considered idol. They considered valid. It is still a threat to. The life. Well, exactly how how do we not take that? How do we not take that based on the the instances of the last month? Says we says, we all watched the the horrific murder of a of a citizen by by discussing human being police officer. How do we? How do we not take that as anything other than a threat of actual violence based on recent history? Therein. Lies The question that I would poses that to go along with remarks you know who who exactly is going to do is A. Government. It's a radical leaders. Of States counties, cities, whatever. Or is it going to be people for people? We have. What did you just leave knowing? When you just gotTa love the irony that the Minnesota governor had the balls to ask the white. House for for bailout money after they let their city burn. I, mean, I understand there are citizens that were affected by that. But you know my argument would be well I'll tell you what once you spend the money that you say from you know. From dissolving your police. Believe. Yeah what you spend that money go ahead. Save yourself though you know the. Four hundred million dollars spent annually on your police force. Etc.. And They're not gonNA, pass it out. There's a blank check to the people because well, you know we don't get our tax money that way. Exactly. HAVE YOUR IS A. Stalemate along the lines of. City Minneapolis Saint Paul's which Is Looking for a five hundred dollar bill out the government's GONNA help. They're going to have to get that money somewhere. Well exactly and the question. Phoenix afraid now, but to answer your question or respond to your statement. I believe you said they're not gonNA raise taxes through the roof to do it. Of course, they will. Of course they will in turn. Bring. I. That's. That's a real trick. Isn't is when the IRS gets involved or whatever State Department revenue they have comes and starts locking people up the people sheepishly combine. and. The guy will probably get reelected. Let's be honest. Well you will probably see. You'll probably see something for the cities that were affected by riots and everything put into like a another stimulus bill passed by the house. Like they have added that money there you go to a legal and yeah. And everything else that I wouldn't put it past the House to sit there and add a piece in there that every city that was affected by these riots or has hardships now. Get X. amount of. Millions of dollars as part of this. Bill to. Help, stimulate the economy and the people that actually are affected by all this. That, it should be helping they'll put their. Claws into it and put. Extra things that won't matter, and then it'll sit there and argue back and forth between the House, and the Senate for God knows how long Because they won't budge on wasn't it? Well one thing you have to love about the strategy employed by the Democrats they're gonNA. They're gonNA try to stick it in something that make the president look bad if he vetoes it. Oh. Yeah. It'll be. It'll be some sort of. Bill and he'll have to it, and then they'll scream how he doesn't care about children. Exactly among the media will be all over it. Media will be all over at bashing him. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. The president doesn't care about the future. There for the last four years anyway. Well Yeah they've they've. It's funny. I. Yeah I was GONNA say I. Johnson and Nixon for sure. But you know twenty I hear people talking about Oh. Trump won't accept the results of the twenty twenty election loses you guys still haven't accepted the fact that you're get forty. Or the fact that impeachment failed yeah. Yeah the. Everything else. Rono. Everything else that you've thrown at them hasn't stuck. Exactly this is. This is reality you know this is not theory. All this stuff is happened. You know. I saw something today and I don't remember where it was talking about the reason that you know that. They want to sit there and blame trump for not being ready for this pandemic and everything was because the other half of the fence was sitting there. So busy trying to get him out for the last four years that he couldn't take time to focus. On being prepared for anything like that. The funny part is, is I I'm trying. I'm trying to I'm I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of hearing how Trump getting the blame for a hundred and thirty thousand body bags. Here this is this is the thing we need to do things. We need to change the story number one it should be only a hundred, thirty, thousand, five bags why? If if anybody recalls I do specifically PURDIS MR TRUMP DONALD TRUMP put a travel ban in effect once we had ten positive cases in this country, the left assailed him for weeks for doing it. Okay. Nancy. Pelosi went to Chinatown encourage people not to wear masks Blah Blah. Xenophobic Racist Blah Blah Blah, pick your s that's yacht called, and now all of a sudden they WANNA blame him for one hundred, thirty, thousand body bags may explain something if he hadn't done what he did when he did, there'd be a million three bodybags. Okay end of discussion this has nothing to do with mass. This is all a political fucking game and and I'm tired of hearing about it. Except from you guys I love your new guys. DOTS. I. Think. Let's just put that on record right now. Yeah you're paid to talk matter of fact, we don't pay you at all. Yes. I think we have a contract we'll get. something. About our bucks and it'll happen advil or something like that. I. Think it was under someone nine. I was a corner of starbucks eight was a quarter of an advil and half starbucks get it straight monthly and you're no. Damage. Send Me. Oreo. Wait a minute. I want kids count. You want to renegotiate. All of your agent moved to Seattle. Yeah exactly somebody please his comments to that brick wall over there. Oh Yeah. Yeah. All right I feel like I've rented enough. Is there anything you gentlemen WANNA cover that I missed? How `bout? Redskins finally caving. By quest over we're going we're going for football. Then we're GONNA touch the Third Rail Ladies and gentlemen he just licked and grabbed it go right ahead phoenix. I did read an article that. There are some and I'm not saying a whole bowl loan. I'm not saying that YOU KNOW ENTIRE PATIENT O. Or and it's hard tribal right that there are in fact, some of the indigenous votes, native Americans. That want keep it because it actually gives them a sense of ownership relevant. We've along on this we have this. We can follow this because that is you know a depiction of our people. What's the Redskins fans great. I have no problem with that if there. was somebody like football but hey, you know I, see it representation in my people here. Thank you. There are well, we don't get me wrong that no, all fuck you and take it other. Cash kind of it's actually kind of funny that you mentioned that being that I'm also for those of us this for those of you just tuning in and getting no us as we get to know you I, am a football nut job I have been since my early days Yes. I was GONNA. Say I think there's actually incriminating proof out there wasn't much of a about football I gotta tell you. My love for the game has often outweighed all of this You know all the polit political bullshit that's going on in the game for quite some time. Get into Kapernick, that's a whole other rent for me that lasts about forty five minutes and maybe we'll do an episode just on that Now, there was always my understanding in watching anything about the Washington redskins and and the history of them that the that the team was supposedly named for one of their assistant coaches who was native American and it was if anybody. I played football I I. I. I know that Phoenix not sure if you did mark You know everybody everybody on the football field to talk shit and especially to your friends okay and Just because you have some sort of negative pejorative is a nickname, doesn't mean that people hate you Okay. So The, the the legend was and I've actually since found out found out, different resin was at the team was named for in honor of one of their beloved assistant coaches. Evidently that's not the case. Racist over racist overtones aside I? Mean we can dissect anything want. Come up with all kinds of. The point being is, why don't we just name? The region Caucasians and everybody'll be happy. Okay I mean. Seriously also living in living in Florida I gotTa tell you the university or she state has a deal to to use the seminole name from the from the seminal nation. They paid them royalties every year, which is why you don't hear this here the Indigenous People screaming about Florida state. Okay. So You know I I don't I don't want to say they haven't been relevant for twenty years. Hey easy. I. Agree I agree too I mean my head. One is, Emma water but. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute mark. Are You All I I. Take over the gators day. Well me too because. No. Fan. You know what you know University of Miami and the Florida. GATOR gator. Yeah. So It's just block. Gives you wondering we all love each other teams until we play each other so that that being said. Does anybody have any idea about the outrage regarding redskins? Honestly. I mean I might just you know that stupid that I don't see the problem with the name it's the name of sports team. Okay. I mean we'RE GONNA change the Cleveland Indians. Are we gonNA change you know aerobics Today. But that's again that's a whole other. That's a whole other thing. But how many? Are they are all the sports teams just to be to be called the daisies and you know we're good to go. Or how about the banana flavor wouldn't? Well, this is like football gets get. Exactly. Yeah. Very wrapped up about injuries and things like that. Like five put flags on. Let's play flag football. But that's really the other thing I mean. You can argue that these guys are being paid wages that are equivalent to see to. Well, okay. hazard pay I mean there's they're making millions and millions of dollars. No offense I, what what what what come? Okay. These these guys mostly have guaranteed contracts. So, you break your leg. You're out of the game you're still getting paid and you should have gotten a degree so you should be able to join the workforce afterwards. Well. Puffing along the line that you know you're getting my mom bought list during my day. Is. Lump everything together all of one. We have you know events that have taken place because of. What took place. In A now it's moved to now we're going to start tearing down statues of anybody that. Could would did whatever. But now okay. Well, we need to keep that ball rolling. So we need this Norfolk Russell. Hey. Let's NFL take. Let's go up for baseball teams. Blackhawks. I love the fact that the blackhawks till they told those guys to stuff it. They're like, no, we're not change Noel. I mean yeah, and also also the the pretty big assumption there is that these people that are tearing down statues have any clue who they are I mean want to remove a statue wondering. I it's like I'll take the consequences of not taking US history for eight hundred Alex. Basically. Look, we get to wipe out four. Daily double. All right. So we'RE GONNA WE'RE GONNA. PULL DOWN WE'RE. GonNa pull out Lincoln and we're GONNA pull down the statue of an abolitionist. Yeah. Let's do that. Oh Yeah. Well, they're not even educated. They're pulling down you know. They're pulling down. Statues of people that fought four slavery. To to abolish slavery, they're pulling down. I mean I saw they ruined the Frederick Douglass. Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah you mean the guy that advised Lincoln on how to actually take slavery down Gee I can't imagine why you hear him down. Clearly again, that's That's World Super Eight Hundred Alex. Exactly exactly no no, it's not world history. It's common core history. That's that's right. And? There is no wrong answer to one plus one. Knew exactly. All right boys I. think that's going to wrap it up for. I. Think that's going to wrap it up this particular episode everybody that joined us. Thank you very much. I appreciate a hope you've You give him a little insight insight. I should say are insanity sure would appreciate your support. World Premier Episode - burst 01

"Hello America. And welcome to the midnight. Patriots involves Spartan and I am flanked by Phoenix, Drip Dick, and mark. We are the midnight patriots and you may be asking yourselves why in the hell are we doing this? Well, got to be honest with you. Everybody has insomnia sucks almost as bad as tyranny that and we have day jobs. So we're GONNA talk in the series about the Constitution the bill of rights politics national current events. WE'RE GONNA call out here anyway guardless of the perceive political flavor using these standards of information logic and a passion for liberty. So that being said, I wanted to read something here real quick on our maiden voyage as sort of a sort of a way to set the standard. This this passage I'm about to read was actually written by. Thomas Paine one of our founders and framers, and regardless of how you see this man and the values that he possessed in that day that this was written this was written about seven months after the excuse me five months after the declaration of independence. So this is a this is a passage from December twenty, third, seventeen, seventy, six many of you have heard the the the line of this but I'm to go a little bit deeper into it, and hopefully this'll give the show some sort of context and and we hope we can earn your support as as time goes on. So this is from December twenty, third seventeen, seventy, six when the When the Revolutionary War was still going on and it says says as follows. These are the Times that try men's souls. Summer soldier in the Sun signed gatriways will in this crisis shrink from the service of their country. But he that stands by it now deserves the love and the thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, there's not easily conquered. Yet, we have this consolation with us at the heart of the conflict, the more glorious triumphs. What we obtained too cheap. We assume too lightly. It is dearness only that gives every thing. It's value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price on its goods. And it would be strange indeed if so celestial and article as freedom. Should not be highly rated. So those are the kind of the words that I could keep in mind as we go through this in every man here every person associated with this show would definitely be on the flag to make sure that the stretch stay read. So we're GONNA open up tonight and we're going to kind of open up the insanity that we've been seeing around our country regarding corona virus covid nineteen. Now everybody fever mind that none of us are medical professionals and our virologist by any stretch of the imagination where relating experiences and questions nothing that we say should be taken as any sort of diagnostic approach or any sort of Expert opinion. That said yours truly your host here Paul Spartan well, actually come at this from a perspective of being Osha certified in matters of respirators and and breathing protection. the rest of US come at this from from our own particular viewpoints and speculations. So let's just get started off So boys, we got we have. Governors California and Texas walking. Act Actual reopenings and we've got quote unquote more and indecisive confirmations, Cova, spreading but for but amazingly somehow in New York, they're reporting any new deaths or anybody WANNA start with an opinion on that. Honestly. You know I mean there's been some conversation prior to. Between myself and the other members. That's. Something is pulling the strings somewhere. Other than CDC, a hospital staff, surgeon, general things of that nature. Quite honestly, you know whatever it was whatever stream you Asian that recently came out that. Took a Italy Area. Jersey Pennsylvania. Great. Has stated sure. But why is it only California Texas? That more back that we know of your again to the states in the continental United States. Voting populace in those states. So my question now. WHO formed strings? Think. That's the overarching point here is that you know in in my experience not to get too nerdy and go too far down the rabbit hole but the same government that's telling us you know to be afraid and take particular actions like wearing cloth masks. Are the same ones that are telling us that the cloth masks don't work. I can tell you from from Osha Training and ocean certification that airborne pathogens particularly viruses. Are listed in the sub micron rage. Now that sounds that sounds really really you know interesting or maybe even boring but something that has to be realized is that when something is a sub micron particle. It passes right through the we've of a mask. Require its own moisture source. Now. Obviously state standard state standards vary but in the train I've received anything in the sub micron range requires a A. A SELF CONTAINED OXYGEN SOURCE With the use of a mask in that in that particular bio suit I mean if you WanNa, take a look and you think you're safe by wearing a cloth mask look at whatever rally just wears in a lab. When he's working with this type of contagion, it isn't a cloth masks. He wears a moon suit with a separate oxygen supply I mean there seems to be my perception is that the same people that are that are trying to Promote the panic are the ones trying to peddle a secure and make trillions and any thoughts on John? I think they're actually. No I. Think There's definitely you know financial motivation behind. This whether it's big whether it's by hospitals by a parent companies own hospitals. I mean. There's definitely something I think that financially pushes everything I mean between them getting you know a nice. paycheck at for each person, they list with Kobe or each person that unfortunately passes. listed. With Kovin. You, know they get a Giant financial. Yes if you will. Of money which I think pushes ally of these. Claims of more cases rising I mean like we. Previously is if you talk about the fact that of you know there's people around that work in the profession that there are things have been going around that they've sent. You know unused test the places. And they've come back positive when they haven't been used. But who who? Who who is the guy over in Africa, that tested a tested a fruit and a goat. And they both came back. Positive. Does anybody remember that news But you already your point but more to your point I believe the last figure I heard to. Last year I heard from the federal government was somewhere in the area of fifty to eighty five thousand dollars total for the treatment, and if the the particular person passes, the patient passes they get more. Does anybody have any information to dispute that because I think that was the last count that I heard. Be last information that I have. At, least. It's nineteen thousand dollars for a diagnosed case. Thirty eight thousand dollars if they are required hospital say and it goes up exponentially require respirator ICU care. They stay longer than hot. You're in you're out you're gone. So that being said. We all know that it'll supposedly. This bill. Gates himself and his research company. Or the ones that. Found viruses no did all the. Problems. I'm looking for here research. But. My question is if they did all the research, why did they come up with as well or have they? That's a question I posed to you folks. Well, I know they re you know they actually waiting to get ten thousand dollars plus from insurance companies and the federal government per dose mean. There's an argument to be made there. I mean, the guy is not a doctor nor is he of Arale just he just wants to make a make a killing on the here. Now that by the way is not an argument for any sort of socialized medicine. It's an absolute. It's an absolute disgusting power-hungry move at the cost of well forget about just American lives. What about globally, what have what is a million people in the ground now lifted discovered related At least one point three. If I remember correctly I could be wrong. Well, I got the second portion. Really a big to ask now is Bill Gates can't keep a bug out of his own computers what you're GONNA do with the world. Exactly number one key couldn't build a computer didn't crash three times a day for no reason. So why would we trust him with with people's lives? You know I mean he would. There was a there was a tit for tat went back and forth on social media several several years ago when he was still a once he was the kingpin of Microsoft. And he had mentioned something like You know if the auto industry had made many advances in the computer industry over the last twenty years, we'd all be driving cars that got a thousand miles to the gallon and went from zero to one hundred and two seconds to which I believe. It was the CEO at the time of Ford replied. Well. Yeah. But then the cars would crash twice a day for no reason. So. I mean you. Good Cryptic. I was GonNa say, well, then you you look at Osso. When you're talking about these numbers, go into hospitals. How many hospitals or possibly owned by the same parent company that owns the farms that the big farms that are gonna sit there and. Produce this vaccine all the sudden. Or? Not to say that they don't already have it and are just. Still waiting. I mean I know there's always testing and they have to get FDA approval and God knows what else but I mean, what's to say? that. They're not. You know getting twice the paychecks. On. Both things. Oh. Yeah. There's there's no doubt they're doubling down does absolutely no doubt doubling down your that said the other the other things that I've noticed here I don't know if everybody's been keeping up like I have. There's a Lotta unconstitutional shift happening. Okay. And I mean. Just heard I. Heard I. Heard Mark Heard Mark Giggling that that's fine because. The little that they'll get into that in a little bit but also just I wanna take a moment mark You serve this country with honor and distinction for several years in that in the military and I got to thank you for that Phoenix. You did as well and I got to say thank you for that. You protected my right to become a fat video playing hotdog eating copy guzzling douchebag that you see before you now and some of US servicemen appreciate that and Thank you. Appreciate. Bill. Hey they already did. They're called the IRS and believe me they're up my don't shit. I don't know where they I don't know where I ended maybe. It's not. So we've got measured we've got measures being proposed in in in multiple stages. Here is all the way from you know putting additional taxes on firearms to ammunition and then requiring a federal license. To purchase either. we've got the state of California. Who is you know? Well, let's just be honest they're doing what California does. It essentially eliminated their own their own Anti discrimination laws I don't know how that happened Where the hell does anybody see an end game here other than complete and total? Marxist. Shithole. That's where these lefties and I'm not GONNA say Liberals. Anymore. He's people are leftist-marxist pigs and by the way if any of you listening fuck off, don't ever come back. None of us here at. Fourth Yeah. This year at the Midnight Patriots give a flying fuck what you We don't have time to answer your e mails and believe me you're better off just turning off because if you heard that your heads probably. And I don't WanNa hear about it. Okay. You be somewhere else. All right. Man Okay. So we've got all this massive gun control legislation which I'm assuming. That this is going to veto once it hits his desk, roll it into something else and he doesn't see it. I mean. Does anybody else you positive outcome here other than I'll just say it an open civil war. "There's no prizes for second place. You don't get some kind of. Reward for trying art issue. Get the guy or you don't get the Guy, but you think about all the time away from your family away layers things you could be doing, but that's our job to I've always enjoyed when people have been straight up and say listen. This is probably going to be a really or get now. Do you want to keep trying and you can prove that? This is the right place off for for me than than go ahead, but I'm just being straight up. which you know that it's probably eat your fourth and fifth on my listen. It's GonNa. Be Really hard to get to number one. I got one more topic before I. Let you go. and all of you can weigh in. We'll start with Anthony. This New Jersey League thing. Jalen Green. Chooses to go to this new program. Isaiah Todd. Chooses to go to this program. They're paying Greens in excess of five hundred grand a year. I wrote something I. Don't think this is going to a college basketball. That much because I think we. We all knew that the rule was gonNA. Come back in at some point to for kids to be able to go from high school to the NBA, and now you're having to or maybe a couple more eventually, you can have eight ten twelve. It. Is this what I can't figure out guys UAE Adam? Silver is doing this. Is He doing this, you think. To market the League in making the G. League better is doing it so that the RJ Hampton to the world don't go to New Zealand. Is He doing this? My personal thought and I. Don't know if this is right or not is he put all his cards on the table a couple of years ago, saying. He was favoring the rule to go back to to where kids go to high school. And now he's thinking himself, or he's hearing it that maybe not. That's not the best thing, so he's GonNa. Try this instead to get kids not to go straight to the league, but at least a year. After high school to go to leak I I don't know why what what are your thoughts on this anthony? League itself or or or the situation I mean this is cross college basketball you. You coached in the League, and in the last few years. I think you have a different perspective than most people of. Is this good for these kids, or is it just something where again listen? Happen Anyway. What's the big deal we dealt with? In College in Cali just Fi. Yeah I can't say I know whether whether or not it's going to be I think that'll be on an individual basis, but my my thought. I can't begin to tell you know what the Commissioner's thinking or what? The G. League was thinking, but.

"Few down. The home starts after actually we had cut the nets down beating South Carolina and winning the League outright. Let me backtrack just for a quick second. Because I know when Anthony was talking about the process, these guys went through the first year. I gotTa tell you. Looking back I think because Taurean. Green didn't really get what he wanted and had to back up literally. Roberson for that entire beer and the guy was averaging thirteen turnovers a day. Was One of the healthiest gross and probably helped our team more than even he was a catalyst, a descendant growth in and one quick story before we get serious about motivational factors. I gotTa tell you this one I know coach will remember. This zeke thought it was funny ship. With are getting ready. I want to say one of the few teams this press I'm GonNa? Say Bruce Perlstein because they were dumb enough to press and so. Wait wait. We talked about some offense if there had to be a stationary fashion and so. Really was GONNA. Come down to layups Dunks, early Humphrey. said that just layups dunks early. And we're now. We're GONNA. Play live, so we're going up and down all sudden. We're going to ask check exactly what they're going to want. And so I go WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA. What are we doing here? and honestly got Joe. Kim stands up yours your shop some time out. He did it. Let's get it right because if. You Start UN whoa WHOA WHOA. Coach. Is that what you want? Yeah. And then Joe Kim system a puppet shot the same..

"Margaret and Chad provided a nice life for their three boys. They lived in an expansive home. And had all the trappings of affluence cars. Video Games and horses yes. Margaret was a horse person as everyone knows the garage loves loves horse people centers. She adopted in rehabilitated. A retired racehorse named lady and even after lady died she still went to the stables. Abel's Daily to work with other horses. Margaret worked as a client operations manager at a healthcare company Chatham Motto was a Clinical Aw Pharmacists who worked for CVS and who also had a second job. He was a self professed computer guru. One of his CO worker said. The Chad was very proud of his sons. But there are rumors in this case in some references to it by two people close to the case did Chad data motto. The father was a quite difficult man and most compeer people are a side. Note Jason. The oldest of the three boys was not what Chad's biological son. He adopted him when he married Margaret. This was way back when Jason was just three years old. It doesn't seem that Jason was as close to his brothers as they were to each other. According to Jason. They were known as the football family because they went to every Florida. GATORS home game together. But Jason no longer lived at home and he had moved on with his own life. So the true brother's on the half brothers. Brothers grant. And cody they. They seem to be inseparable. Cody is just one year older than grant and they did everything together. They were on the weightlifting team together at Timber Creek high school and planned on buying matching. BMW's and living in the family home well after their parents retired to their other house which was located in Tennessee. One of their favourite activities involved shooting air soft rifles and real guns as well. and You I can see on grant Amato's facebook profile picture and he is trying to look like a militant bad ass with a big rifle cody grant were on a competitive air. Soft team called remedy. The brothers even went on to enroll in nursing school together. This after grant graduated from the University of Central Florida even early on as seems that cody was somewhat of a caretaker for grant he we had it. Altogether while grant was more scattered in June of two thousand eighteen. Grant was caught stealing medication from his is job at advent health which is located in Orlando Florida. Do we know what kind of medication he stole. I'm going to get into that right now. The hospital staff noticed eight empty vials of propofol and two rooms. Where grant was working he had taken vials they? They were worth together. Combined amount of two thousand sixty seven dollars. These were taken from a storage machine that required a thumbprint to access us. The machine he was captured on surveillance video which was reviewed by the hospital. After the propofol was discovered missing he was seen zien accessing the machine and putting the vials in his pocket. This amounted to grand theft. Hospital officials confronted grant. Who told them them? According to the police report that quote he hit administered the drugs to patients who were not being adequately relaxed by doctor ordered medicine in other words he thought patients needed more drugs than what they were being given so he wasn't stealing drugs for himself to us but to use is on patients. That's his statement. That's his story and he's sticking to it. We don't know for certain administrators believed that this was not the first the incident of this kind. He probably had stolen these items before while being questioned a couple of days after he was caught stealing grant apparently said he was suicidal so the police were called. This was on June. twenty-first grant was arrested but they determined that there was not grounds to hold him under Florida's Baker Act which allows an involuntary hold of people deemed to be dangerous to themselves us and for reasons that have never been disclosed. The grand theft charges for stealing propofol were eventually dropped but needless to say grant was out of job. He was fired and as a consequence of this event he was expelled from anesthesiology school as well and his dad who was funding legal representation for his son. Well he was out of a lot of money. This was money that was set up for grants lawyers. Yeah but let's break this down a little bit because a lot of times if if there is a conflict at work work even if it is stealing they normally won't prosecute as long as they get the material back we got the material back. We didn't lose any money and we're going to then sever ever our ties with this individual by fire them. Yeah I mean He. He's he's fired one hundred percent. I don't know what their reasons were for dropping the charges. If you want me to speculate my guess is they probably didn't want his defense of Oh. I was giving them to your patients right to be in the newspapers whether that's what what he was doing with them or not. We just don't know yeah. Stay away from the bad publicity. So grant is unemployed and living with his parents so what did did grant do all day now that he was unemployed of course he did. What any hard working able bodied twenty something American male would do and and of course? I'm being sarcastic. He spent his days gaming and watching porn. This on a site called Cam. Girls Grant soon soon met a Webcam model named Sylvia from Bulgaria. We all can you spell it website for me. Grant began what he felt what was an intimate relationship with this woman. The virtual kind grant lead Sylvia to believe that he was a successful ambitious. Young Professional Personal Gamer. who had his own apartment and drove a BMW? According to the Orlando Sentinel Grant spent about four hours every night. online watching Sylvia dance and model euphemisms for one on one virtual pornographic activity. And of course this cost money in fact the woman's attentions to grant seemed to depend on how much money he paid. Her grant admitted that her shows cost ninety. That's nine zero tokens per minute to view. which he purchased five thousand tokens at a time? For six hundred dollars he he and Sylvia would video chat as well. Grant seemed to think that the woman was his girlfriend eventually. He began sending her clothes using sex toys which Sylvia would model for him often in pornographic videos. How grant paying for all of this? Well we'll we'll get into that in a minute I hang on. Let me get out my porno calculator. Real quick yeah. So that's five thousand. Four hundred tokens an hour and times that by four hours a day or night. That's twenty one thousand. Six hundred tokens a night on my circulating. Say That's a lot of porno. That's two thousand two thousand five hundred ninety two dollars a day or night. However you WANNA swing that Hammer? It would be cheaper to be addicted to meth but remember kids. Don't do math then. In December of two thousand eighteen. I apologized captain Bob when I was reviewing this information and putting together all the math. I don't know why but it popped in my head out of all the things things you could be addicted to. This is a very expensive addiction. L. I guess we'll know why our our show won't continue The Colonel Got Addicted to Meth. Don't do math then. In December of two thousand eighteen cody grant and their friend Jericho. They went on on a trip to Japan. Cody was very nice. He paid at ten thousand dollars for this trip. So cody is paying for the both of them for him and grant but when the boys returned home this is around December fifteenth grant found that his father was very disgruntled. That grant still had. It not landed a job by this point. It's not clear exactly win. The Amato's found out that their son was involved in a virtual relationship with a Webcam girl. Some news reports state that Margaret noticed male showing up for grant from Bulgaria. Yeah and then was horrified lied that her son had given their home address to a t to somebody in the porn business. Let's say right we. We can only imagine what that conversation was like unfortunately for grant though it seems that his parents also discovered something else at some point toward toward the end of two thousand eighteen chat amato discovered that some money was missing and actually this was a lot of money. Grant was stealing stealing money from his own family. Grant told his parents that he spent this money to promote himself on twitch. I'm captain sure or you could inform us. What twitches all because I'm such a loser that I have all this time to do well? I don't know exactly what it is so I thought maybe you might law blah. I don't know much about. I've never been on it. I think people can be very profitable on it. There's many millionaires from an end. I guess what it is is is that you. You're a Gamer. And then people can watch you game al Qaeda they could pay for a subscription so so there are there are people are doing very well. It's it's but it's kind of a the video game world to me. I haven't been into it since Super Super Mario Brothers so I don't really know much about it but it's it's huge. I mean you can So when he saying I'm promoted myself or I'm this could turn into a profession not as a profession but if if it takes off he could become like a multimillionaire like basically like becoming a youtube star or something right I was is gonna save for Dummies like me. The simplest form. It's kind of a social media. Instagram meets Youtube kind of thing. Yeah Four Gaming Guy Merrily yeah so the truth be told though that's not where the money went. He actually blew it all on his very expensive hobby. Or what I would call obsession with Sylvia. Yeah but even if it went to promote himself on this platform it's a it's a big risk because to to become a youtube star or become twitch star. It's very difficult so now thus begins the family meltdown. Okay on December nineteenth two thousand eighteen. The models called nine one one. This was to report grant was missing. He walked out of the House after an argument with Chad and his mother was concerned because he seemed very depressed at this time and she says possibly suicidal in fact Margaret told the the sheriff's office. She told the deputies that she got a text from grant saying he was quote really tired of everything and quote and was quote just just going to handle it his own way. That's as much of the text that I have. But regardless believing that he had been unsuccessful looking looking for work and had shown some instability in connection with the propofol incident right. And he's at school now. He's spending his days. He's like you said playing video games and watching pornography and if the family just knows that he's just up in his room playing video games all day maybe not knowing too much about the pornography but when somebody says I'm tired of it all and that's all they're doing I think that's a bad sign. Well you know she has. His mother has other tax and other information other conversations that were had right that we're not privy to so calling. The police seems like a very smart motherly. Move here in this this spot and December of two thousand eighteen. Cody confided in his girlfriend. Sloan that he was concerned concerned about his brother. He was concerned that grant was going to kill. Everyone is what he said when grant left the home that day. He took refuge at the home of his aunt. This is Donna. Amato with whom. He was very close. She later said that he was looking lost and depressed at her house. Grant slept during the day and stayed up all night. She and her husband hid all of their guns and while grant was with them having been worn by the Amato's that he was possibly suicidal while grant was staying with her Donnas Bank account was hacked and strange charges started showing up. At least that's what she thought. She came to find out that the nephew you she had taken in stole her credit card information and she wasn't the only one according to the Orlando Sentinel pictures of credit it. Cards belonging to grant Amato's grandmother uncle and one of his cousins were found on his computer upset and betrayed Donna on a called her husband's brother grandfather. Chad D'Amato totally out of character. Chad broke down on the phone. He told Donna the he had been forced to remortgage mortgage the family's home to cover one hundred and fifty thousand dollars worth of debt racked up by grant. Donna says quote. He told me on the phone. Yeah I'm going to have to work a few more years than I thought I'd have to but it's okay I'll do it for grant it. I don't want him to go to jail.

"But we will see if you've got something to say about crystals transfer feel free to call us at eight five five two four to seven to eight five until then why don't we go back to the board. And let's go to Jimmy in Georgia. Jimmy, it's Tony Barnhart. By doing man. I just wanna take Linnet to speak on exactly what you just talking about. Football is all about man. And if you can't build on that and then Muslim not even coach, Dan Mullen is to be the man that take Florida back to where they were. He's creeps in preached, the free gator standards ghanistan understand it if the Florida Gators had a rough week that's just all but sometimes it happened. And now if there's any photograph fans listening right now, don't worry about what's going on with class two thousand twenty one that SAS will change a thousand times. Would you believe me? Jimmy, lemme ask you the Holland Jimmy. Where do you think the Florida program is right now because I I've got all the Gators. I think they're they're going in the right direction. But I don't think they're there yet. Would you agree with that? Oh, they're they're not. They're not there yet. They are on the way. Dan Mullen will have them there. He will have the myth now. My. Do before last season. This was a four way and team a disaster. Does defy. Cats had never beat Michigan. Not the first time. Chick-fil-a bowl of blows Michigan out Nme more depth that that was that was a great win for Florida. The again, I told somebody earlier in the show the only, you know, Florida loses to Kentucky they lose to Missouri. They lose Georgia. Georgia was a better football team Kentucky was actually Kentucky. Ran the ball and control that game. The only the only head scratcher. I had about the Gators last year was the Missouri game. But drew lock was guys. Drew lock is one of those guys when he gets hot is kind of hard to stop. So I you know, I could be wrong. I thought Dan Mullen, really along with Mark stoops. I thought those two coaches got as much out of their roster as any coaches in the country to get for me for Florida to get ten wins out of that out of the roster that Dan Mullen inherited I thought it was pretty good. That's amazing. Right. I mean, he inherited a dumpster fi and took it to a ten season with a bigger in a in a big bowl game. Over team Florida has never be. And here's another thing. People wanna keep bringing up Kentucky law. That they was bound to beat her at some point. I mean thirty two years in a row. Well, Jimmy be be fair. Jimmy, Kentucky control the line of scrimmage in that game. Okay. They this was not some kind of a loop control. Yeah. We we are we are. We were the better team gonna take last. We'll be the better team. They could take addition. They just got that game at that point blank clear that street with bound in at some point. I mean, this is been that game big host on four or five years. Now every game then down to the wire they was bound to get that game. This know that that they as you know, the should've gotten them two years book, they should've gotten him the year before and they didn't to Florida's credit. But yet you're right about that. And. I mean as far as the Christmas goes, you know, man, I wished that kid the best of I really do. But it's man down there Gainesville man it, and then I I myself don't believe he left. Over he wasn't happy with his room or something. Like that. You know, I myself don't believe that. I think the kid was homesick. And if it ain't that I think he was just I mean, if you pay attention to Twitter, he was getting it seems like he's getting his book that cracked his and he was getting on a little bit. Maybe I don't know. And he couldn't have. So he goes to Oregon as you wrote in the news come on, man. What competition he got Oregon? Jimmy. No, this is the brave new world. Hey, I gotta run and take a call before break..

"And then my wife surprised me in two thousand fifteen with tickets to go see them again for my sixtieth birthday in Nashville. Doesn't sixteen fifteen thing. I've heard sixty. They still bring it partner. They still bring you know. I'm not I'm not surprised by that. But like I said, I give them a lot of credit for still being alive and kickin because it's amazing that that lifestyle that they that they have lived for so long is not necessarily conducive to great health. I wouldn't think but they're still going. Whatever ks Richards is doing I think we all need to do it. But probably not really. Yeah. I think probably not, but yeah. No, they obviously a one of the one of the hall of famers when it comes to rock and roll in great bands. Yeah. That was that was the. Yeah. No GM that thank you for. Thank you for the call those there were there were two really surprising things that Matt said in that interview one was that the the Rolling Stones were were still touring the other one that really got my attention. What he said the Florida Gators don't have a five star player on their roster. And I I don't know if that's specific to a certain set of recruiting rankings and other several services out there and sometimes they differ on who are five stars four stars. But that one really caught my attention, and I can kind of underscored the point that he proceeded to make from there, which was that there's a as a decent talent gap right now between Georgia and Florida, and we don't often think of it that way, we know Georgia has a ton of talent because of the way they've recruited under Kirby. But it just a little bit of insight as to how Florida has dropped off. Now, Florida still a pretty talented team. But not having any five stars, especially when you look around. And even in the conference, and you see, you know, how many that Georgia has how many Alabama has just shows you that there's plenty of room to grow there for for Dan Mullen in Gainesville and a lot of people are very optimistic about the Gators as as we've discussed here in in recent minutes, so we will get back very soon with more of your calls. Phone lines are open eight five five to four to seven to eight five as we finish up here hour one of the Paul finebaum show..

"If you have a will Wade comment, Tennessee comment or you want to defend the poor Florida Gators who are now secondary on recruits mind, the Georgia. Let me know let's get going back to it with drew in Alabama, drew. How are you? I was going on. I could not be better drew in large part because I'm getting to talk to you. I I can understand that my big thing, you know, listening to you, you know, Tennessee's never going to win the national championship again. And they're not well, let me put this disclaimer out, you know, I've been Bammer since you know, the day I was born. But I'm not so realist, you know, from nineteen ninety to two thousand I Alabama had nothing. I it's difficult site that a team is never going to win a national championship again from this point going forward. But idea I actually did say it, I I realize that. But when we had might knew bows, and and Mike price him never coach game would somebody who said, oh, Alabama's gonna win another national championship. I know they would. You have to get the right coach. I listen on that you and I completely agree. You have to have the right coach, Alabama's not the kind of program no programs kind of program. You can have anybody coach it, and it's fine. But Alabama has some structural things in place that Tennessee doesn't that allows for success one of which is recruiting base. Which is massive an imprint of fan base. Unlike any other and a history, but also in this is the key. Once college football hit the next era or every game was on TV. So the act of being on TV wasn't special anymore. Alabama was at the top of their game. They were at the top at the perfect time. Whereas Tennessee was at the bottom. And that is why I think it has been so hard for Tennessee to climb out. Oh, I I agree wholeheartedly. Trust me. There's no team as he sees that. I hate more than Tennessee. But you know, on that same note, you know, I'm also a Michigan fan my mother's from Michigan. Michigan's not done anything since the Loyd couriers yet. They are not the Michigan has been Michigan has been more relevant during all those years than Tennessee. I mean, I just told you Tennessee's two and five against vandy. Everyone would agree that vandy is the bottom program in the SEC, and they are five and two against Tennessee in the last seven games. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't think Alabama ever would have gone to in five against vandy. Like, there's a different Tennessee is a level of bad that great programs. Simply don't get to for this long. Great. But Tennessee, you also lose Louisiana Monroe in two thousand seven one game. They've lost a vandy four straight times. Agreed. To go. I'm not I'm not trying to be rude. I'm really not. I'm just trying to be a realist. And again the other program like this Nebraska. And if you've heard me if you've heard me on this show, again, my compare some about tissue Nebraska's in about the sixties and seventies college football became something. That TV broadcasters realized they could put on television and people would watch it. Yes, they did. And so they looked and said what programs are good? So the teams that were good then became national powers Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Alabama. And so for those years those programs had an advantage only ten programs in the country. We're on TV and you were one of them. But then all of a sudden in the early two thousands. It became the case that every game was on television. I mean, when I was growing up I want to watch Kentucky had to stay up until eleven thirty at night and watch it on reports the replay they didn't show it live. Now, every games live. And so the advantages that Tennessee in Nebraska used to have which is they were one of the programs on TV or gone. So now they have to compete fairly. And the reality is nobody lives in Nebraska. So you can't get any players and Tennessee more players are in Tennessee..

"I in particular has been such a outstanding leader as a freshman in. It's hard to be a freshman point guard in the SEC, especially when you have some guys that have been there and done that in particular in Kvant Kvant Allen, and he needs to finish out the season strong for the Florida Gators in order for them to fill a little bit more confident and to try to improve that seat line between and selection Sunday, surely some big games tonight. And of course, Saturday, Tennessee and Kentucky both getting through the last night Kentucky a tough game. Everyone has a tough game. At ole miss Kentucky is where right now in your mind in terms of next week in Nashville, and obviously the NCAA tournament I have them as probably the number two team overall in the country that I would have confidence into win the national championship. But that is that is dependent upon Paul the ability for re Travis to come back and play like re Travis can and without. There are different team. And you see teams aggressively attack the paint you saw Tennessee able to operate its offense with greater ease against Kentucky because retrievers wasn't out on the floor. He takes a lot of pressure off a players like PJ Washington as well. So I I need to see retrieves back out there before I say, okay. Yeah. They're they're right there for national championship pitcher. But if he's healthy, and if he's able to go the wave of this Kentucky team has defended in conference play in particular after their opening loss to Alabama. They have performed at the defensive end of the floor almost as well as the twenty twelve team. Did of course that was the team that went on to go win the national championship..

How are you buddy? I'm great. What about self on great here in hotlanta? It's crazy. Undoing my best to avoid everything. And just go over to the studio and the hotel and watch a little basketball while I'm here at the hotel. So cannot wait for this game today. T TV tonight. Is that what it is? Yes. NBA TV tonight last night tonight back tomorrow to what's the big game. So you did not score pass or anything for tomorrow. You know, I didn't ask about it. You know, I've been to one Super Bowl. Yeah. And if you're not really rooting for one of the teams, right? I think it's a hassle. I mean, it's a big production. And it's just so many people. I don't know I'm old at this point. So no thirty years ago. I'd have been in there. Yeah. I've just never been before. It was just kind of curious because the Peter great. I'm sure the people that you're working for an NBA TV are the kind of people to take care of people like you. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure, you know, with if we ask though, they'll do something, but I'm really not interested. I wanna get back tomorrow. And and and what's the game? They're in Lexington. Fire, and you know, on the TV you will need fire tomorrow you'll be out on back deck. It's like fifty out here. Now is it really unless the other day? It was ten degrees for a. Yep. Supposed to be sixty on Sunday. So it'll be so. At one here real quick on this Gainesville gain today down in Gainesville. I was just on the Twitter machine and looking at our guy, Roger Hartenstein wine, and Roger has a tweet on their today. Talking about the fans now he said when he went down there. For a game one year in the eighties. His older brother rob had played there. Right. And was kicked out of school? And I guess rob left there without paying his phone Bill or something. When Roger went down there the next year, they had recruited Roger Hart, also. But when they went down there the next year when Kentucky went down to Gainesville students were throwing their phone bills on the floor floor at Rogers. They pay your brothers phone Bill. But but you do understand this. Oh, don't you Roger. And and I remember when he played here. And he was a great great player. But at least in terms of the social media thing, he is on the verge of making you. Look, like, a calm guy who never respond to anything on social media. How oh, wow. Really? I haven't gotten into the weeds that far, but I love these Roger heart. And you know, what I love most about Roger why there's a lot of like about Roger. But the one thing about Roger and and Kenny Walker, and Roger and I were really good friends. I didn't play with those guys in college. Getting I played after college. But Roger harden would fight you at the drop of a hat on the basketball floor. He and all of his brothers. There's no question and you love playing with guys like that. It's not, you know, it's not a coincidence. They want a ton of games when Roger was playing point guard here, Kentucky and eighties. But I love Roger harden. Okay. Speaking of that. Let's talk about this Kentucky team. You know, there may be one and done guys all that sort of stuff. Whatever you want to say, I think these guys would fight you. I mean, I love the attitude that these guys have not cocky, not arrogant, but I'm telling you, they have really I believe gotten into the mindset of coming together as a team. Yeah. You know, I'm glad you brought this this is it's easy to look past. You know, think about where this team has has been where it was two weeks ago two months ago, and where it is now. What's funny to me? We get the guys become here at the buy into cows and to believe, right? And to just tracked him trucker process, get better. And as you get better as we get better all of you guys are gonna to prosper, right? Well after the Duke game for two months six weeks to months. NBA guys are talking to me. Really about Kentucky guys when they come into town. They're not really into our guys. You wouldn't believe the call? Now, the people now that are talking about not only a couple of them but four or five of them that and I make this point to say look it is it's about the team. It's about us getting better. None of our guys are going out and trying to get twenty five night. They're all playing to win. And that's the beautiful thing about this. They've grown up so much here. This is going to be another step today. I know Florida is it the traditional powerhouse that. They are that's tough building to play in. And it'll be a tough test for us today. But I'm really proud of our guys for for coming together sacrificing for the good of the of the program and really learning how to play winning basketball. It is a different sort of place to play. And I mean, I'm sure we'll talk to Mike coming up a little bit later talking about playing down analogous to rally and the old dome now, which is exact tech arena at the. O'connell center is different now than it used to be so Mike white came in. And listen Mike's a great coach he was a great player in this league. He's a really good coach he came in the first couple of years, and he was playing with Billy Donovan's guys. And I guess this is the first year he's playing with strictly his own guys. And it's been a bit of a struggle. Yeah. You know? It's a tough deal end following Billy look that man, you know, come on titles down there. Right followed following Billy is is a tough deal. But Mike is a terrific coach. He's very organized guys play hard. You know, they've got they're gonna put us a ton of ball screens today. It is a different kind of place to play the crowd is right down on top of the of the players of the places to play in SCC. I think this is this is the spot. This is a spot that really when I think back about all the what are the years when you were down there. Eddie started passing out valentines to the pitch. Who were clearly you guys the business. Eddie was in his own world, sometimes but. Yeah. He was in Gifford him. But that was good. Diffused. The crowd though. Oh, yeah. He was trying to get them in his pocket that there's no doubt about that. But it is a tough place to play. They're talking about you every every time you run in front of them there. They're chanting something else. And it's fun. But they were really good when we were back when back then they had Vernon Maxwell, Andrew moten. And they were they were good basketball team to beat today that was back during the Lon Kruger days right now. Was that norm Sloan I'll tell you a great story sometime off the air about norm Sloan, but the way this team is playing they just got to keep it going today. So what we'll do is. We'll go ahead and take a break Rio. K now Tim one one eight hundred six zero six four to six three. But before we go to break, we wanna remind you how do you feel on the outside starts with what's underneath? So make it jockey visit any jockey store, and they've got those at the another got them at the outlet malls. I know they got one up there north of Cincinnati. And I know the one over there by Simpson villa got one or go to jockey dot com and use the code Wildcats to save fifteen percent today. So so what we want to do Tim is we want to make sure that the jockey folks know that we're we're busting them out. Right. So I don't want to over promise and under deliver. But we can't do this at Rupp arena. But if the jockey folks hook us up with like, the deluxe pack wrecks, and I will do a pre game show in our jockeys. We'll bottle I didn't say we'll model I said we would do a show in our jockeys. Now you. We would model. I volunteer to understand your in you can model, but even as good as jockeys are. I can promise you. Nobody wants to see me and my jockeys. Neither me neither. But. But I mean, if that's the case, okay? Br. So Brad Tucker, if he's listening out there and marking the tech would you always does after bottle whipper, right? That's exactly right. Rex what are you going to do triple down on his thing? So what we'll do is. We will not only wear the jockeys. We'll modeling as long as Brad Tucker. The guy who is Mr. jockey. And does it with us, and we need to make sure to hook Tim up the control room. Right. Maybe I'll even get my guys, Tim and Keith. And Robbie Alvarado and we'll get jockeys in jockeys in the jockeys. What about that promotion? We.
