And the year before, and the year before that, and next year, Fizer alone will save more lives than the United Nations and bring comfort to more people than the United Nations. The left hates visor and loves the United Nations. They watch his genocides go out, and then they grimace about it later on. That's that's amazing stuff. These guys here these guys really some we can get Tomo. Let's get to some money because we've got a lot of great audio on these is looking at us as can't in all this stuff. Let's go to It's going to be sound bite Number one yesterday, Dr Rochelle Rochelle Wolinsky. Her maiden name is Rachelle two Shoes Rochelle, Rochelle. Not really. I just made that up. But she's Dr Rochelle Walensky. She's the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She's looked really uncomfortable throughout this whole process. Maybe because she's been whipsawed and she's whipsawing us. S so frequently, But here she is yesterday because now everything is different. I want to provide you an update regarding CDs, Thief guidance for fully vaccinated people over the course of a pandemic. We are continuously gathering data and evidence to inform our guidance and decision making new data for guidance and decision making. But this isn't based on scientific guidance in decision making. Because nothing had changed. Yesterday. We got a great question Coming up Dr Rochelle Wolinsky. Today, CDC is updating our guidance for fully vaccinated people. Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities large or small without wearing a mess or physical distancing. Well, that's if you were fully vaccinated. You can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic. Well, I guess all long. For this moment where we can get back to some sense of normalcy, normalcy. They don't know what that is. As defined by leftists. It comes out differently. It's kind of funny. We could get back to normalcy. We've all long for this moment and pine for it. I haven't long for it. But I have pined for it. Dr Michelle Wolinsky, based on the continuing downward trajectory of cases, the scientific data on the performance of our vaccines. And our understanding of how the virus friends thank you. For that moment has come for those four holy vaccinated. That moment has come for those who were fully vaccinated. That's me and you know, thanks to the United States. American President Trump in Operation Warp speed, great percentage of the world. Once again the United States saves the world and thanks to President Trump, we did it in record time on then comes a question and I liked this question. I immediately started texting Victor and Michael. There is an ABC news reporter named Cheyenne head Slit. Cheyenne Hazlett. Real name report name I can't say. But ABC news and I thought, Well, that's an actual question. Here's the question that was asked. It was she gets should probably get fired for asking this question. You mentioned the science and we know it's been about 16 days since the CDC last update its guidance on masks. We also saw heavy criticism and lost. Week for moving too slow. Has the science really changed in 16 days? Or is this a response to public criticism? Wait a minute. Has the science really changed in the last 16 days? Because the guidance you gave 16 days ago is the opposite of the guidance you giving today. So has the science changed in the last 16 days. Good job. Cheyenne has what honestly? Uh, a natural question. Now you got to stop and marvel it this like, uh, a reporter in Washington asked a question. I assume she's in Washington. It was a conference call a zoom callers something. And, uh and she has to real question or is it politics? Has it just politics, Doctor Wolinsky that science has been in three areas. One is the effectiveness of the vaccines in general and reward populations. Thanks, Trump. One is the effectiveness against Excuse me against your unusual OK, which was just published last week. Many affected this in preventing Francis was choking Someone get some water. The moderators suggested. Well, since you're choking on your words, since you were asked a real question by Cheyenne has slit at ABC News of all things A science has the science changed and 16 days. And she's like, Um uh, clutching her trachea, with both hands falling back in her chair on and moderator guy was like maybe we should get some water for Dr Rochelle will Lansky because she's choking on her answer. And that was a great moment in television news history, Lunch bucket. Joe Biden turns out he's apparently the president, United States America, and he's got that yesterday. He was wearing a mask in the morning and then he wasn't wearing a mask in the afternoon because the science changed somewhere around the lunch hour and that everything was okay. Here's Joe Biden. He doesn't understand what's going on after year of hard work so much sacrifice. Rule is very simple, very simple, yet vaccinated or where a mask until you do. The choice is yours. You all made this possible. Now, let's finish the work of beating this virus and getting everything back to normal. First. He tells you what to do that he says The choice is yours kind of, and I think Get vaccinated or where I'm ask until you do. The choice is yours didn't sound like the treasures years again. Sounds like kind of an edict. Lunch bucket, Joe. The rule is very simple yet vaccinated or where a mask until you do but wait if the vaccine works. Yes, See, then this is all very complicated. Um, you know, I've got a No. Is it Senator Ron Johnson out of Wisconsin. He wrote an op ed in the Washington Examiner. Yesterday. He said that he's actually had The Ruiz had the Corona verse that covert 19 stars carved too. He's had it and he's been tested and has the antibodies and it's like I've decided to let other people go ahead of me in line for the vaccine because I already have the anybody's, which is what.

"By Bristol Myers Squibb and Fizer. This'll is a my talk dirt alert. Like time. No see, right? Yes. Been a hot second when we got to talk about a Scientology story that was just published in the Hollywood reporter tell us And this is all about Scientology's production work in Hollywood and the insidious way that they recruit actors into their organization. Okay, talk, So Scientology has some big production facilities if you're not aware and one of those facilities Is right on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. In the neighborhood of Los Felice. They purchased a public television site for $45 million Back in, 2011 says That's huge news at the time because people were upset that they had the most money to buy it, because that's such a great state of the art. Facility facility that a lot of They had access to, like a lot of actual production companies wanted to have access to them. So they bought that for $45 million, And this is in addition to all of the other presents that Scientology has in just that neighborhood alone. They have another place down on Sunset Boulevard. There's a celebrity center that's on Franklin Avenue in Los Angeles. That's fairly close. But you're right, Laurie. That place has 20 editing suites and 21 special effects station's control rooms, Music studios, mixing rooms. It's a whole studio. Basically, Tom Cruise paid for it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, not so, and this is separate. Then the churches gold base headquarters where they have golden era productions out in him it Oh, yes. Yes, Shelly. Yeah. Thank you. Where is Shelly? Yes. Oh, they're talking about in this Hollywood reporter story. How production of film and television has been intertwined with Scientology. From the very beginning. L Ron Hubbard. He wrote a bunch of Hollywood scripts. You know, And that was his thing telling starts. Yeah, and I feel like Leah Remini told us that she did, like so called acting classes like teaching people how we're gonna help you get a sad Carden do this it But it was just a blatant thing to try and get people to sign up for Scientology and stepping in stepping for courses. You're exactly right. So in this story, Leah Remini goes into a little bit of detail about some of these workshops, acting seminars where the church would regularly hold these at that celebrity center for So that was part of her duties. Yeah, and it was a recruiting tool, so it would be technique classes, personal branding lessons you get to meet and greet with Scientology industry professionals. Lean remedy, said about teaching the seminar that she actually put together of course, and she genuinely wanted to teach young people about acting. But Lee Roney says that she was pushed by Scientology officials to refocus on selling time Scientology services and courses. That's right. Yeah, so she says doing acting seminars was to sell books and to sell Scientology services. And it wasn't for the purpose of helping actors. She says that phrases like quote raw meat and bodies in the shop were used intentionally as a way to describe potential recruits. She also said that Scientology Reps would be in the room during these classes and intervene to talk with attending, so giving them basic tests and pushing entry level courses on them. And ads for the seminars would run in magazines online and would promise that Scientology would bring Hollywood success. And then are they making Scientology movies and recruitment things at this place? Probably and they're probably going and, yeah, advertising and but back casting or whatever that backlot or whatever the trade thing is Thing that they're filming stuff, and then they get there. And it's an actor from not L A. And they're like, What's his Scientology? I mean, I wouldn't. I'm sure that they recruit like that. They're hiring Actors Productions. Yeah, because Lori you mentioned they listed stuff in a trade called Backstage backstage. Is this him back? Well, you know, say, but same thing, essentially, but backstage is a casting website where you can get There are Web sites in Hollywood, where you can get legitimate jobs right and that's one of them and they would be deliberately obtuse in their listing that these things were being filmed. In the Scientology production lots. So like the Scientology movies, they go into one of those centers, and they're showing you how kinds of videos and you can go in the one right downtown ST. Paul, don't go in there. There's no bodies. There's just videos playing in the old science museum. But I mean, then they're like trying to cast people. But I think I don't know. I feel like somebody in Scientology Fahd and got that They had to play them. Guild wages. Yeah, well, here's one of okay, that's really insidious about Scientology, looking for recruits of the world of acting auditions is that Scientology representatives would hang outside of central casting. That's an actual place. It's not just like a term that we throw around here. Well, they just came from such as an actual place. It is an actual place. I never know that I always just thought we're going to go to Central K. I don't know that either, right? You thought that it was like a metaphor for hungry. Nice Central Casting is an actual place. Okay, it's in Burbank. And you condoled there, and that's how you can get looped into being an extra for various projects and you can get access to jobs and it's just come on your way to a sag card. That might be your first stop. Okay, exactly. Scientology knew that, though, eh, so they would be hanging out targeting actors who are lined up to be extras. And promising them jobs and helping them securing their sad cards. You know, Of course they're not at all right. And you know this guy the SAG card. It's a Screen Actors Guild card. It is the union in Hollywood for actors and that opens the door Having that sad card, which is completely opens the door for you in Hollywood because a lot of movies are union jobs, and you can't you can't work on the movie unless you're part of the unit guarantees your wage and there's health insurance. And there, you know, like it's a union, like any other good union is meant to be protect the worker bright and so there's an actress. She's not telling her name was she telling the Hollywood reporter that she was in Line in late 2018. And she saw Scientology members coming up to actors and telling them skip the line. Come join us. We'll get you working right away, dear. Yeah. Now, central casting reps would come outside to warn the actors that the Scientology people were unaffiliated with central casting and that they're like, you know, please ignore them. But if you're new, you know, kind of fresh, fresh in bushy tailed to like, Get a giant. Glad the Hollywood reporter is doing. I am too because they probably they've known about and they could have written about it a long time ago. Yeah, so this is this is an issue. That needs to be talked about right to warn people, young people who are starting out and they could have it written this story. You know, quite a while ago, but I mean, they've been kind of feel like they're getting more ballsy. Maybe writing about Scientology, don't you for sure, they Yeah, And they were talking about one of the things in this Hollywood reporter Think Is that? You know, you mentioned Scientology having these videos and things with huge production values. Well, you know, they cut corners by hiring, See or g'kar. Individuals who were in the church of Scientology working for like nothing, nothing pennies on the dollars to make this stuff actually happened. So they're not. They're not using these actors that they're saying, because they don't want to pay anybody. You know you have a sake heard, but they don't wanna They don't want to let you know these. We only pay $100 a week. Right for 60 hours of word, Right? Right, right. So which is illegal and unethical and so many other things. So you know, it's really this Hollywood reporter article really worth the read and just some of the really insidious things. That Scientology has done to try to recruit new members into their organization. Calling out Scott Rudin, the bully Scientology the bully and taking advantage to think about how many newbies fresh people come into Hollywood make their way They have no idea..

"The at least 50% of Americans are likely to get this this disease. Naturally, like absent a vaccine. In fact, I think, given the pace at which we're vaccinating people, we might hit that approximate that threshold anyway. Okay, And I think right now, probably only about 15% of Americans have probably been infected. So far 15% not 30% like this other estimate you mentioned. In fact, it's one of the sad commentaries on the inadequacy of our American response that we don't actually know exactly this number really out of all the billions of dollars we've been spending and trillions of trillions of dollars of damage to our economy. We should have advocated some money. Have good surveillance to have random sampling of Americans to be really able to nail down this this single number that you and I are discussing, but I suspect the estimates I've seen system Make me think this will be closer to 15% right now. Probably the numbers higher, probably closer to 500,000 already with only 15% of Americans infected and more and more Americans are going to get infected. And so we have a long way to go. Unfortunately, people think that because of the invention of the vaccine, which to be honest is miraculously I mean, we are the first generation of humans. Confront this ancient threat of a played who has been able in real time to invent a specific countermeasure. I mean, it is astonishing what we have been capable of doing. This never happened before, but nevertheless, His German's gonna keep spreading and spreading for the foreseeable future. And I believe we will and I said back in August that we would lose between half a million in a million Americans and we're well on course for that. Unfortunately. The virus has a lot of runway to go. Still keep in mind the virus is having what is known in biology is an ecological release. It's like an invasive species, You know, like a rat's, you released onto an island that overrun the place. The virus and we are that to the virus. We are untouched terrain. We have no natural immunity to speak of. It's just going to keep spreading and spreading in our bodies doing its thing. And so we happen to be alive at a moment when we are experiencing a once in a century event, which is that this new pathogen is being introduced into our species, and it's Circulate among us forever. It's not. We're going to go away. It all we can do is to eventually acquire it naturally or and or be vaccinated against it. How is the vaccine rollout going? In your view? The invention of the vaccine is roughly on schedule. So they were like back in August or about 120 Earth. So vaccine initiatives. It's not just the science of inventing or formulating a vaccine. It's also The time required to do the randomized controlled trial with tens of thousands of people to show that it works, and we haven't least four. I think reliably demonstrated vaccines now within a year of the of the pathogen entering into our species that we know work. It's it's truly unbelievable. But even that Is just the first step. We now have to manufacture hundreds of millions of doses, which is not trivial. Even things like the glass vials and the and the factories needed to do all of this or not a trivial thing, and we have to distribute these vaccines. Especially in the case of the Fizer and the Madonna M RNA vaccines, Thies require what is known as a cold chain. From the moment of manufactured to the moment of injection. These vaccines need to be kept super cold at minus 70 degrees, and such refrigerators don't exist everywhere. It's not just that every truck that transports them every place that warehouse that stores them. All of those need specialized equipment. We've invented the vaccine, but we need to manufacture. We need to distribute it. We need to then administer it. We need to persuade at least 50%.

Get us and Chad talk to ABC s Alex Stone today to find out why the West is having so many issues distributing the cove in 19 vaccine. So why are we having issues here in the West? Well, yeah, I mean, it's a problem. You know what in Arizona and, yeah, you heard Do see talking about it over the weekend and then today in Snohomish County, Washington, They've got a few mass vaccination sites that are completely shut down because they just don't have enough vaccine that they've completely run out, which is something that has been threatened in Arizona has been threatening California. "From NPR news. This is all things considered. I'm Elsa Chang in Los Angeles and I'm Mary Louise Kelly in Washington. The U. S is racing to vaccinate as many people as possible against covert 19 about 31 million doses have been administered so far, which means the country still has a long way to go to contain the virus. And one limiting factor could be the supply of new doses. When we know the two companies that have emergency authorization so far, Fizer and Madonna they are supposed to deliver 100 million doses each by the end of March. That's according to the federal contracts. At the current rate, though both companies would have to ramp up production to meet that goal. NPR pharmaceuticals correspondent Sidney Lumpkin is here to tell us more, He said me. Good afternoon. Okay, So we have this goal 100 million doses each by the end of March. Can these companies meet that given? Neither is making enough right now. Well, according to the federal government, they're expected to reach that goal, but they're both going to have to make a lot more doses every week to do it. Last week, Each company released 4.3 million doses of vaccine to the federal government this week. Madonna is pulling ahead and releasing 5.8 million doses. That's according to allocation data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Meanwhile, Fizer is lagging behind at about 4.4 million doses on Lee 70,000 more doses than the previous week. And what is the holdup? Why are they liking So it's not entirely clear? But I asked a Wall Street analyst named Geoffrey Porges at Spb Lyric, he says Fizer has spread itself thinner than Madonna has. Visor is committed to delivering considerably more doses outside the US than Madonna in Europe. Visor had to cut back on weekly deliveries last month, which made some countries like Italy really angry, But porches told me he's still confident advisers ability to hit its goals, he said. It wouldn't be making these big commitments if it didn't think it could meet them. But again if Fizer is already behind now, and they're supposed to be ramping up, how's it gonna work? It's a good question, because if it keeps releasing the same number of doses at the same rate as this week, the company would fall around 30 million doses short of its goal. Even Madonna will need to start releasing more doses to the United States each week on top of the ramp up we've already seen. Andy Slavitt is a senior adviser for the White House Covert 19 response team, and he spoke about this at a briefing last week. Visor and Madonna are committed to delivering a total of 200 million doses by the end of March, with much of it coming at the end of the quarter. So will accelerate. So that is what the White House is saying. What about the company's? What do they say? Well, when I asked them for more details, they didn't say much. Madonna reaffirmed that it will hit 100 million doses on time, but didn't provide more details about production from week to week. Visor didn't respond to my questions. Historically, there hasn't been much transparency when it comes to vaccine supply. Here's Glen Nowak, a former director of media relations at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We saw this and I was at CDC in 2004. When we had a flu vaccine supply shortage. We had a hard time then getting accurate information about how much vaccine was going to be available went And they had sort of similar transparency issues in 2009 when the shingles vaccine was in short supply, and just real quick, the other vaccines in the pipeline. There are two more that just released data this week. That was pretty positive. Johnson and Johnson and Novavax AstraZeneca is expected to release data soon and we could be looking at if the FDA approves these three. You know, more supply coming. In the next months. All right, fingers crossed fingers, toes and everything that Sidney Lumpkin, NPR's pharmaceuticals correspondent, Thank you. Thanks for having me. Myanmar's military staged a coup today and detained the country's de facto leader on Song Souci. It is the latest turbulent turn in that country and a return to detention for sushi who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991. She was put under house arrest after the military refused to accept the results of the previous year's election that saw her party win an outright majority. She later became the country's de facto leader after the military decided to loosen its grip on power in 2011, and well, she remains popular within the country internationally. Her reputation has suffered. Joining us now from war is Laurel Miller, director of the Asia Program for the International Crisis Group. Welcome. Thank you. So you know me. Amar had been on a path towards democracy. What? What exactly led to this military coup and this detention for Souci? Well, first, I think it's important to recognize that man. There was still evolving as a democracy, and I think we have to say it was Partial democracy in which the military already had enormous share of power in the country. So I think this makes your question even more pointed one in which we have to wonder. Why was the extent of control that the military already had? Over Myanmar. Not enough. I think we have to look Tioga Couple of factors won the November 2020 election in which young sons hooches party won. An overwhelming victory was a pretty stinging and perhaps humiliating defeat for the military on also, there is seems to have been perhaps a personal factor here with animosity between Young sons, Hoochie and Thekla Andr in chief who is scheduled to end his term in the middle of this year and perhaps thought that he would have some kind of landing pad in politics. Can you talk a little bit about Su Chi's history as a public figure in Myanmar and And what led to her initial detention Well. Her initial detention was sparked by the first time that her political party won an overwhelming electoral victory, and that was in elections that were held in 1990. That result was then nullified by the military, and she was put into house arrest for almost 15 years out of the period between 1989 and 2010. Then after the transition towards democracy began about a decade ago, her party then won a landslide victory in the next elections that were held in. These are huge. Victories that demonstrated her personal popularity. Aside from her political party's popularity, well internationally, Souci has come under very heavy criticism for what has been happening to the Rohingya in Myanmar. Can you talk about why So much of the international community lays the blame at her feet? Yeah, I mean, there is an enormous distinction between her enduring popularity at home and the demolish mint of her reputation internationally and in the West, in particular as a result of how she has handled the rigging issue..

Israel promised to vaccinate its citizens fast and prove whether fighters vaccine Kenbrell herd immunity. These are the same that are big interest to fight, sir. And, yes, also some Americans statistics That's the other part of the deal. Israel is giving Fizer access to the medical statistics of millions of its citizens to study how the vaccine works. You're going to be around other people If they're vaccinated, too. This is now 0.5%. I'm sorry. This is now 5% of 5%. You start doing the math on this. That's one and 400 that the second person Is going to actually have a risk of contracting codename you, and now you play this out. This is how herd immunity works. So it's not just that you are very unlikely to get it. But somebody around you also has the vaccine is very unlikely to get it and just keeps playing out. But it's never going to be entirely zero is the point. You know they're going to be people out there who have the anal unfortunate reality of a severe peanut allergy where if it even has particles in the air, they could go into shock. We can't protect people 100% and we shouldn't be forced to try. That is what is happening right now, With the latest mentality, you're seeing it. You could go to a search. You'll find it online people saying, you know S so here's where we've gone to. I used to say, why don't we mask up for the flu and never have if it's so effective and so important, and if it saves just one life? People that were masked maniacs were saying Shut up. This is worse than the flu. That's it. That's just your flu, bro. That's irrelevant on bits, not a relevant because it's the exact Argumentation. They're using applied to a different circumstance. So they just shouted it down because it was inconvenient because clearly what it shows is a long history of society, accepting that we cannot stamp out entirely. Influenza and influenza deaths and that it's not something that we should try. Through the measures that we're talking about here if we got a vaccine great, and we do take vaccine for flu year in year out, but it's only you know, 40 to 60% effective depending on the year. But we under We don't make people mask. We don't shut down businesses. We don't do all these things for the flu. And we pointed that out to show that she we lived in a society where we understood that there will be some risk to living your life from some diseases that are out there. They didn't like that because it was inconvenient for their argument. So they said, Shut up. Don't talk about that. Now you know what they're doing now we're getting to the end of this pandemic. Probably in the next six months. We'll actually get the vaccination at the level that we need. But now we're coming again. This is saying, Yeah, you know what we probably should mask up for flew to that will save even more lives flew virtue, signaling masking is now a serious thing, and it's going to gain steam too. And when you wear them when they tell you to wear them So remember, it's not as though we even get the benefit of perfect continuous mask usage. That's not that's not the reality, which is why these lockdowns and mass policies have obviously failed. It's because you wear until you sit down the restaurant. You wear it until you adjust it.
