"I <Speech_Female> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> said there's <Speech_Female> no searching <Speech_Female> ambler for those <Speech_Female> who vaccination <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> the children <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> of it. What we all move <Speech_Male> slow. You can't <Speech_Male> is <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> people being double <Speech_Male> vaccinated <Speech_Male> would not have <Speech_Male> to sell voice <Speech_Male> aorta. Romulus <Speech_Male> countries and said they'd have to <Speech_Male> be tested daily. As you <Speech_Male> said the children would be exempt. <Speech_Male> I suspect <Speech_Male> the lightly date. <Speech_Male> The of his <Speech_Male> scheme is <Speech_Male> the end of next <Speech_Male> month <Speech_Male> rather than the nineteen <Speech_Male> rav in the <Speech_Male> all happening on one big. <Speech_Male> Bang day <Speech_Male> little site today. <Speech_Male> Impart <Speech_Male> i think this is because <Speech_Male> there are <Speech_Male> real concerns about <Speech_Male> you. How do you keep <Speech_Male> flow of <Speech_Male> people going backwards <Speech_Male> with <Speech_Male> all the extra <Speech_Male> Paper because <Speech_Male> you have to have a way <Speech_Male> of checking <Speech_Male> you <Speech_Male> know <Speech_Male> when you go to board your <Speech_Male> flight that checking <Speech_Male> vaccination status <Speech_Male> that you all <SpeakerChange> double <Speech_Male> jobs. I <Speech_Male> and and the like <Speech_Male> i mean that will become <Speech_Male> i was having. <Speech_Male> This is an interesting <Speech_Male> beginning of debate here. <Speech_Male> Because <SpeakerChange> what we're <Speech_Male> seeing <Speech_Male> in both the <Speech_Male> proposal about <Speech_Male> travel and <Speech_Male> in the proposal about <Speech_Male> self-isolation <Speech_Male> as <Speech_Male> the government is energy <Speech_Male> saying that they would <Speech_Male> treat double vaccination <Speech_Male> people <Speech_Male> differently <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> to <Speech_Male> the rest of the population <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> The <Speech_Male> how fall <Speech_Male> policy goes <Speech_Male> could <Speech_Male> become a very <SpeakerChange> interesting <Speech_Female> today in the coming months <Speech_Female> and with that. I'm just <Speech_Female> bringing an additive for <Speech_Female> one final question. <Speech_Male> Because he looks <SpeakerChange> sunny <Speech_Male> lumped and james james's <Speech_Male> talking <Speech_Male> deeply uncomfortable <Speech_Male> with the notion of <Speech_Male> privilege. <Speech_Male> I think that's <Speech_Male> i think what james has <Speech_Male> a practical solution. <Speech_Male> The americans have been doing this <Speech_Male> for a while but <Speech_Male> what slightly <Speech_Male> a nerve me. More is the idea <Speech_Male> of family. <Speech_Male> A barring <Speech_Male> football <Speech_Male> grounds for example. <Speech_Male> Those who <Speech_Male> haven't had the double <Speech_Male> jab <Speech_Male> we know <Speech_Male> that the ethnic cham <Speech_Male> disparities <Speech_Male> are absolutely huge. I <Speech_Male> think five percent of whites <Speech_Male> have another vaccine versus <Speech_Male> thirty two percent of <Speech_Male> blacks. So let's <Speech_Male> be under no doubt <Speech_Male> over who might potentially <Speech_Male> be discriminated <Speech_Male> against by any <Speech_Male> mechanism which <Speech_Male> sham gives <Speech_Male> the vaccinated <Speech_Male> privilege <Speech_Male> the other strange thing about <Speech_Male> the ambulance countries. <Speech_Male> When we drew up <Speech_Male> these amber and red <Speech_Male> lists brinson l'ouest <Speech_Male> couvert levels <Speech_Male> in europe <Speech_Male> so it was argued <Speech_Male> for quite logically <Speech_Male> that if you go abroad to <Speech_Male> hire <Speech_Male> covance countries there's a <Speech_Male> higher chance you might combat <Speech_Male> with virus and we've <Speech_Male> got to be careful. <Speech_Male> Now you look at this <Speech_Male> big data or data hub. <Speech_Male> Britain has <Speech_Male> now by some <Speech_Male> margin the highest <Speech_Male> kobe <Speech_Male> levels in europe. <Speech_Male> There aren't that many <Speech_Male> countries really with <Speech_Male> more covert than we've <Speech_Male> so. <Speech_Male> It's not clear to <Speech_Male> me why <Speech_Male> you just off to <Speech_Male> to spain <Speech_Male> or france or italy. <Speech_Male> The <Speech_Male> government thinks you any <Speech_Male> more likely to come <Speech_Male> back with kobe than if <Speech_Male> you go to birmingham <Speech_Male> manchester <Speech_Male> or <Speech_Male> hackney <Speech_Male> and so you <Speech_Male> get the mechanism <Speech_Male> designed for one era. <Speech_Male> Which is probably outdated <Speech_Male> with <Speech_Male> another <Speech_Male> so. I think have to keep a careful <Speech_Male> eye on <Speech_Male> this kind of thing <Speech_Male> because <Speech_Male> we are about to hit <Speech_Male> a period. I suspect <Speech_Male> a very high cases <Speech_Male> still at the <Speech_Male> moment. Hospitalizations <Speech_Male> and about half of what <Speech_Male> siege said there would <Speech_Male> be so we <Speech_Male> ought to be thinking about <Speech_Male> deal liberalizing <Speech_Male> now and <Speech_Male> a lot easier including <Speech_Male> testing traits <Speech_Male> instead <Speech_Male> of thinking of ways of reducing <Speech_Male> the <Speech_Male> testing regime <Speech_Male> and indeed <Speech_Male> a sort of interment <Speech_Male> regime which was designed <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> for another <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> period <SpeakerChange> altogether. <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> Thank you fraser. <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> Thank james and <Music> thank

The email waiter tinge in place is going to be fascinating. Kate and james image. Daddy have boris. Johnson does want to talk about brax seen evidence that today. You think brexit's took me message by the time in the next election. In a way you can see the benefit of the torch to the tories because what how breakdown this areas that we labor for so long but if it does feel as the issues closed. The vaccine rolled out being benefits of brexit. I think you'll see the government frame. Lots of things in that context impact because they know that labor read. I won't get into those arguments and never needs james one of the things dominate needs days. When freedom days it's country known as is going to occur and we have a situation where there's lots of positive talk about one thousand nine hundred july. But i think lots of this. Missile member never positive talk about the twenty two gene. But this time do you think it's a real deal. You think the cost of delaying again off all greatest government in terms of both politically and economically. I lost four week. Delay has not had obviously some individual businesses been terrible but the the macro economic level. The consequences have not been dawn. I think if you go another delay but with really dent confidence about whether you would ever get to unfold reopening I will saving the data continues to look good is on the right phrase because you still cases rising but the speed with which cases are rising in it slowing down. You're still suggest that the epa link between cases hospitalizations and deaths is not broken is at the very least very severely weakened and all of these things arguably more confidence about going had a. "I mean the interesting question. Now is who wants to carry on talking about brexit. Clearly out the boris johnson dossier the message he said moines small five years in the referendum keen. Stroke while pm cues. I on essentially that. He is happy of a trade. Whether the tory party he is. Happy to live with whatever attrition there might be on the tory vote in certain places by carrying talking about brexit. 'cause he thinks political benefits greater kissed all running because the opposite. I mean kids don't really does not want to talk about brexit. I think he thinks this point himself remain despite sitting for very heavily remain seat. I've been keeping silent. The labor needs to neutralize brexit. Has issue to have a route box. Power soviet there is there is an asymmetric in british politics. Now about who wants to keep talking about it. And who doesn't i suppose in terms of the ramifications of the consequences of the vote. The plan still seeing today. The greatest is the union. Now this issue of scotland where. There's some talk pants. Referendum probably calmed down slightly since coach palm elections for the sp foul shoot majority. But you also can see in northern ireland. I think primarily the protocol but there has been some good news and that day hasn't james it looks like the eu all going to grow on the six month extension on on on chill meets voice sausages savage the the eu cushion vice president. He's dealing with. This issue is set to start. Let's agree listen grievous quickly arguing now be helpful before the marching season in northern. I think that means this means that all problems with the protocol and the tensions between the uk and the eu being sold by what it is indicative of is awesome on both sides to tone things down so you had the uk designed to request an extension rather than unilaterally on themselves one on an e. You moved to shove. Oh you've requested an extension. I'm sure you're having previously some. The rhetoric suggests this wouldn't be possible to very quickly moved to formalize that request. I mean yeah. I mean the question is can they get to a modus vivendi on the protocol. Can they find a way where both sides can be satisfied on the protocol. Because i until you at if there ever reasons why but until it is pretty much down the uk eu relations will remain quite scratch. This is one of the interesting questions is. Whether the the scratchiness we've seen in place. Brexit relations between the uk and the eu. Something that is going to continue for the yours to calm or whether the cheese is can remember that kind of shad that shaggy but it's good trust in fact that ultimately both of them succeeding is good for the. I think that you have to get away from this idea. That one has to fail for the succeed. I i doing this right. But i on on that point what it was interesting article reminded of all these tensions with this whole issue of the russians claiming to speech it by the british government that they on a uk bullshit. That was Sailing off crimea peninsula territory. Russia highs claims it's his claims to it but claimed that is not accepted by by other countries and is gonna interesting question here which is uk actually is a reminder vehic centers the u. k. country sewn the region still places very active role in european defense question. What is the weather land That back shad interests that you saw G seven whether whether those issues can overcome this scratching us now..

"And Tom Brady has been on a mission. As of late. They have the offensive talent. They're not gonna have the home field that probably means less in a year like this, and it ever has. But Tom Brady and that offense and if the defense can just do do just enough I don't believe in Drew Brees. I don't believe in your breeze. I don't I don't believe in Drew Brees. He has not performed well in the playoffs for a number of years. I believe in Tom Brady. Do I believe in Tom Brady? I didn't think Tom Brady was going to go to Tampa and do what he did. I didn't I thought Tom Brady, based on his performance last year in New England, was 43 years old and looked very much like last year was 42. I thought he looked 42 last year. I did. He was injured here foot issue. He had an elbow issue. But he looked very much like an aging quarterback. That was probably one stop and done, And I thought this year he was gonna be more of a game manager than anything. Oh, man. He's not a game manager. He has not been a game changer. What he's doing at age 43 is like nothing I've ever seen. What? We had this kind of performance out of a quarterback in each 43. I mean, you could get a new older Joe Montana or Steve the burg or guys like that They were in their late thirties that could manage games and then step up when needed in big games. I remember Joe Montana doing that age 38. For the most part five years later, 43 Tom Brady is playing unbelievable. He is so my sleeper for the NFC Box, But I'm gonna take Green Bay's the team that goes to the Super Bowl. But between the box and green Bay that I believe they're the two teams that you will see. 855 to 1 to four, CBS. 85542124227. My Twitter handle is John Marks Media also on Instagram, too. You can reach me there. He can't get in on the phone lines and tell me what you think. Give me a happy New year and spelled J O N And they are K s media, not J. O h n Or M a R X. So it's difficult Every time I give my handle. I have toe hope that people know that that's the way I would spit spell it or they just know or have to explain it. That's a good way to get into as we have Connor Green producing today, Erica Hershkowitz, his own updates and we'll talk to her later on in the show 855 to 1 to four, CBS. Is a way to get in NFC. A F. C. Who's your pick? Who's your sleeper? Who's your fraud? I'm gonna go with the Saints in the NFC for me. I'm gonna go with the state. I don't don't get me wrong. I like the team a lot. I don't like the quarterback. We just talked about Tom Brady 43 years old. He doesn't look 40 three's not playing like he's 43. You're a breeze looks 40 years old. And 11 broken or cracked ribs. That's um that's incredible that he got punished like that and was able to come back. He looks like he's 40 years old. He does. I would say that kind of the fraud that I look at in the NSC are the Saints. Let's start with the man. If l talk 855 to 1 to four, CBS 855 to 1242. "DH. In about five years later, the Federales got him and they brought him back. And he was being indicted for murder here in Tampa. And they said, Mr Hubble you did so good for us for his uncle. We need you. We need you anyway, so I hadn't seen this. This guy who's a man now charged with murder. Live. Mexico was kind of like hiding out. He was also hiding from the cartel. Because you know they were. They were warring over over territory. There is a crazy story. Anyway, I've represented Mario. I came back. He was incarcerated in the Hillsborough County Jail for 18 months, and, um, I had. He was charged with two counts of second degree murder. Against 22 brothers, and it was dismissed as a matter of law based on the standard ground law, which I'm sure you all have heard. Oh, yeah, of gun owners. We definitely familiar with that. But yeah, so that that is. You know, I have to admit, that is one of the all time craziest cases that I had that I have had. One thing you know, people talk about stand your ground and oh, you know, And it is sort of politicized argument about guns and about you know, self defense, and when you should shoot someone there's been A number of other high profile cases that I'm sure you all have read about, but just to be clear here it is a small minority of cases that are where a standard ground Defense works, and the case is dismissed before trial. It's just rarely happens. So, um Anyway, it did happen in this case. It was it was certainly It certainly did apply in this case, but it was a It was a big victory. But it was just a really interesting story. Because again I represented this kid's uncle and I met him when he was a kid. And then years later, I get a call from that family. And now he's a man, and it's a really crazy story. I mean, he literally went and lived in Mexico for about five years. And he stay with some relatives after any left right after the shooting. After he shoots shot these guys They were stabbing his brother, and that's why he shot them. So oh, wow in your ground case. And you know it is not only to protect yourself if you're in if there's a threat of death or great bodily harm, But there's actually a part in the statue that allows you To defend others as well. If they are being attacked, and if they're if someone's trying to kill them, so it was his brother who was being stabbed. By these two men. And my client had Teo Unfortunately, he had to protect his brother. His brother probably would have died. Had he not stepped in, but he had to shoot him both. Hubble. Did he get in trouble for fleeing? Or is it the whole thing? Just forgive been dropped because you were able to use stand your ground. Yet we have. What happened. Was he actually he fled, But he did not flee necessary wasn't all because he was worried. About About being charged. I mean, I'm sure unless you know, of course, I'm sure that played some role. We're keeping an eye on storm team for radar right now, as the remnants of Laura are moving through the area right now, and we certainly don't have a lot of room for any heavy rain because of everything that happened last night in the day before it's warm. "If you're an offroad aficionado or even just WANNA be. This story is a big deal. After a quarter century Ford is resurrecting the Ford Bronco a direct rival to the jeep. Ford produce the Bronco for thirty straight years starting in nineteen, sixty six. The vehicle had only two doors reportedly one reason why Ford discontinued it in Nineteen ninety-six consumer sentiment was shifting toward four doors. Historians say the Bronco Developed Cult Status. After it was discontinued today, the beefy muscular vehicles, a sentimental favourite restored vintage models can sell for up to two hundred thousand dollars with a corporate unit called Ford icons. Ford is Heavily Marketing Nostalgia that division includes the Bronco, a Mustang and a new line of Ford F one fifty pick-up trucks, including a hybrid version, and soon to be debuted all electric. And Nostalgia sells, but it's far from the only reason. The automakers releasing a Bronco for the twenty first century. The company is capitalizing on a trend according to the automaker offroad vehicle, so called rugged SUV's. Twice, as popular as regular SUV's CNN reports that has engineered the new bronco models for quote hard off road driving. You know the kind that allows you to quote. Get far from civilization. An even stay there for awhile. Is the perfect escape for pandemic induced cabin fever. Get a dose of Adrenalin while avoiding the plague. It's a combination made for advertising. Heaven Kit needs to be the jeep wrangler as the Juggernaut of off road vehicles. CNBC reports that automakers have been trying to quote dethrone the Wrangler for decades. Without much success. Even during the pandemic GPS kept selling Fiat Chrysler sold an average of seventeen thousand jeep wrangler every month for the last five years according to the Detroit news last year, almost a quarter, million wrangler flew off dealership. Lots and experts say jeep owners are loyal. To a fault. Still Ford executives have moxie. They're predicting sales of two hundred thousand broncos over the next year, according to Automotive News. and. Keep in mind that the low end version of the new line. The broncos sport won't even be out until years end higher end versions of the Bronco won't be at dealerships until next spring. Ford is doing everything it can to make the Bronco enticing enough to away jeep lovers, and of course to persuade new off roaders to come into the Ford camp that includes besting the ramblers largest tires thirty three inches with whopping thirty five inch tires, Ford says a Bronco outfitted with the almost three foot in diameter tires can easily go through a couple of feet of water models also come with removable roofs and doors. Drivers can store the doors in the Bronco. For, it says. At about thirty thousand dollars, the price of the two door base Bronco comes in at only two hundred dollars more than the base price of the jeep wrangler at the top in a limited number of first edition for door Bronco started about sixty one thousand dollars, Ford began taking one hundred dollar deposits on Broncos last Monday when it released the new line I edition reservation slots sold out within a couple of hours. Still as bullish as the auto press is about the Broncos, the release comes against bleak backdrop for the auto industry. Overall vehicle sales plummeted when covid nineteen emerged shut the industry down for two months recently, both Ford and GM reported second-quarter sales declines of about thirty three percent from a year earlier jeep parent, Fiat Chrysler did even worse with sales down forty percent. And that puts a lot of pressure on Ford to live up to its promise of adding a billion dollars to the bottom line next year through Bronco Sales. And it adds pressure Chrysler to keep jeep at the top of the OFFROAD HEAP Stakes is high as the boulder strewn rocky mountains. The war between Bronco in gene. We'll be fascinating to watch.

"Accept nothing less than victory. Good luck, and let us all seeking the blessing of almighty got upon this great and noble undertaking. So with that they were off one hundred sixty thousand servicemembers, ten thousand of them would die in the Normandy, invasion. Yeah. Things did not go to plan that day in those all those boats that they came up on those ramps were great is acting shields until they were dropped to drop them down. So many of them run out on the beach, and then the enemy forces are sitting up on the cliffs, and they're just picking them off. And so twenty years after the Normandy, invasion. Walter Cronkite was CBS news. Return to Normandy, with Dwight Eisenhower, for a special report and during an interview Cronkite asked Eisenhower Eisenhower about a secret message that Eisenhower actually wrote at the time, and it was meant to be read, only if the Normandy mission failed. Because he feared it could fail. So he writes this note. And here's what Eisenhower told Cronkite about what he said in the note. I just said the landing has been the failure and it's no one's fault. But mine, I was the one that picked that the I knew it couldn't fail, except on whether I was the one responsible for the decision to go and all belongs to me. And that's because if it did play fail, you know, this, I was going into oblivion anyway. Might as well take full responsibility. Just a fascinating interview. I listen to a lot of it last night. So he actually was the architect of this plan. Going back, two years is our draws up this plan two years prior to June sixth nineteen forty four. And the whole concept is this. You come in by sea, with the troops and then you have a true, drop your paratroopers, dropped behind the lines, the enemy lines on the other side. And now you have your enemies surrounded, and that was the concept that he had. And he didn't think it would fail. But he knew that it might right? And that was the fear the other aspect of this, the weather was horrible and they had to cancel at least two one or two times at least, and then they got this window of good weather, like thirty six hours and Eisenhower said, let's go dead at one of the most surprising facts, seventy five years later, is that we're still counting the dead. I know that, that to me is amazing. So they had this big memorial plan in the late nineteen ninety s wildly different estimates for the fatalities ranging from like. Five thousand twelve thousand the military actually keeps excellent records, but they still estimate. They think maybe about forty four hundred deaths on June sixth, including about twenty five hundred Americans but they know the listen complete. So there still is a project to try to count the dead and compounding. That is, they don't know how many Nazi soldiers died at they'll never know that number. So anyway. Seventy years later. "Mr lewis. I'm really excited to get to talk to you were my favorite nighttime person. Thank you, really. Appreciate you calling in. I called in because I wanted to give. My story and seek to the fact that I do not think the antique actors are crazy uneducated fear driven people I made the decision not to continue vaccinating after my first two children started showing the problems with your development and very bad reactions to the Dax scene, and I made that decision after I thing reactions, and after I saw the reaction I hit the internet. I started researching. And when it went back to the doctors and asked if they could provide proof that these things are safe, they could not provide it, and it was at that point. I did not one hundred percent decided never to do a vaccination again. But it was just we're gonna look into that. We're going to think about this. And it was probably five years later that I was so completely concrete that it was the vaccines. That are hurt my boys because I have six boys in total there. All boys in the same marriage. So it's the same genetic tool, and so you would expect typically the same results of all the children and my first two boys were born Siri posts together, and they actually ended up being vaccinated and the same schedules together because the first one had a birth defect feeding twos, or what have you? And so we wanted to hold off. So he was at least a year old before we started. And so he started with his brother, but it was years later when I had the other children, and I got to see when vaccinated baby looks like when I vaccinated my first two I went from having, you know, it was hard to tell it is the first foreign Jona definitely he was perfectly healthy in every way, he nurses beautifully. He slept beautifully miles and happy and very well. It's first vaccine he got it six months old because he still ate a little bit for him as well. Didn't allow he pushed right on in the moment. You was born in the hospital. I went home with the baby that instantly bikes fevers over a hundred and he started screaming on dot and screens just win stop, and she wouldn't nurse. And when you call the doctors, this is normal normal more Tylenol, and we basically had fevers spiking at least once a day and nonstop screaming, and it probably unless and a half to stop. So I have three months appointment after the six months is nine months old appointment is one I started asking questions, but they Toby. No, no, no, that's normal. This is okay. And then when we went home, and he did get vaccines. The second time when we went home. He started having any seizure episodes. And that's when I was just like, no, we're never know. This isn't right. And so, you know, went to the hospital with seizures rebel to stop. But then again after that seizure episode. It was fevers and all of that again. And that's when I was like, that's it. We're gonna do some investigations into that. And that's forty years. My first two Isaac Jona on my only two children out of the six that have speech problems that they both had to see a speech pathologist that I loved him inside. And now, and I home school them. But then teaching them it's not the same. You have to come without multiple different angles. Multiple give an example to have something sinking. Where it was very shocking to experience, you know, when it first started happening like, wow, this is this is what a brain not damaged by that. He looks like my other boys. They've got it. They rarely needs to be shown for thinking twice and my middle one who's ten. He is so sharp the other day when he was flying through his math. You know, his Dow's issues one out. Let's go let's see what they can do. He took Jonas eighth grade book and shoved it under Aden's knows and said what can you do without instruction? He didn't have the work for an eighth grader. And it was it was and he's ten and we didn't even show me examples. And so for me, it is concrete vaccines may trouble. And I wanted to you know, people can take it people can leave it. But. Fondly example, or my experience of dealing with sedition over the years. Whereas why don't you back Sonate the stands for the physicians that is this is good? This is that this is clear science proven by the FDA, and they do push it on you trying to frighten you because they say, I'm the physician I'm school. I'm educated. "Like right away at five years later. I wrote the book so I didn't it wasn't. There was no like I'm gonna go live at the steel right about it. It was I love the experience. Learn from it we became friends for years. I decided someone. Approach me to write a memoir book about really a business book about my journey at marquee jet. And some of the other stuff that I had done and as starting to write it. I realized you know, what this I do want to write a memoir, but this would be an amazing way to do it. And that's what happened would you know what I loved was. There's a lot of things I took away from the book, I think relevant most relevant to our audience. You saw this guy. You were fascinated by him. Yes. Somebody who he was your call them out of the blue. You know, you flew out and met met the guy, you know, flew across the country to sit down and talk with the guy, and he was at least in my read. He was pretty abrasive that for did didn't want anything to do with you kind of thing and flew out there. Invite him to come live with you. And you made all this happen. Now most people, you know, our audiences most mostly aspiring or active real estate investors. And a lot of people are scared to pick up the phone and call somebody who's got a house on the market or somebody who might have a house on the market. But you had the balls to go out and fly across the country to a dude who didn't really wanna talk to you on the phone. How does somebody get on the phone with somebody? How do you overcome that fear to chat with people to talk to people to reach out to people that you aspire to meet and connect with and overcome that fear? What do you do? I think it's just like going into a really cold ocean of of water pool of water is should just go. If you start talking stuff added it, I think he'll come up with a million reasons why you should. So I've always just been like give me the phone. Give me the phone not preparing speech or thinking about it. I've always just kind of let get my foot the door and figure it out later. I didn't go to California San Diego to sip. It the seal and with the plan of you know, we're gonna live together and write a book that just I got my foot the door one thing led to another and then we had the bestseller. So that's one thing. The second thing is just like anything that involves the fear of of embarrassment or any kind of fear is one of the tools that I use. I have several is goes back my own war Taliban-like, nobody on this planet is going to be around one hundred years from now berry few of us. So do I really care if someone doesn't I'm the real estate gain. And like what happens on a phone call? I mean. Come on..

"Country as an undercover Asian. I'm one of the probably the only agent that ever went across into Mexican gun smuggling to my own country while I infiltrate at this human smuggling operations. I got smuggled thrill Paso, Texas, by the way, where there is a barrier. Now, if the berry had been there nineteen seventy eight we wouldn't have we would not have been able to get smuggled into the country during the particular time, and that was used on a daily basis by that smuggling smuggling operation in Paso, and by the way during that period of time, not in my view. There was a thirteen year old girl that was raped by one of the smugglers that I it five years later and had him convicted. But the bottom line is that the barriers in El Paso, reduced the illegal entries it reduced crime in downtown El Paso, even though I I think recently, we've heard individuals say that the that the barrier of the wall there has not reduced. Crime on on in in the downtown area. I worked there for almost five years, and I can tell you those barriers are effective. I wanna use another example, Ben if you look at San Diego, I got smuggled through San Diego as well. During one of our undercover operations, and at that time, if you came in across from Tijuana when there was no barrier we had four or five hundred people rushing the the the border and making it into San Diego because border patrol agents were limited in what they could do. Now that barriers there. If you go back to San Diego to that particular area, you have million dollar homes on the US side. Let me share just one more experiencing Paso right next to the port of entry. No paso. We have what they call the tunnel. We wouldn't have one hundred hundreds of people gather on on the on the just south of the port of entry. Then they would try to send people into run into the United States was to chase him, and you would have forty fifty people rush into the United States. "If you've listened to this show the last few years, you know, there is someone that's very special to the people that work here in this program. And for the last couple of years, there has been a great night that is happening again in two thousand nineteen very happy to announce, but it started with Craig in boomer, and it continues with boomer and me now the Mikey strong game, which this year is going to be on March twenty second and Mikey Nicholls joins us this morning because today boomer is an important day for him, and he wanted to speak to us and we wanted to speak to him. So Mikey good morning. It's always great to hear from you. How are you doing and let everybody know why this is an important day for you. Yeah. Great to talk to you guys a happy new year. So I'm doing well. Today's actually the five year anniversary of the night. I broke my neck. And I just wanted to call and thank. You and also Craig because. I suffer a lotta nerve. Gene and whatnot. So I don't think very well. So I'm up. Six o'clock, and you guys are on my TV making my mornings better every morning. No matter what the pain I'm in and everything you guys have done for me. It's just amazing. And I couldn't thank you guys enough. Go we met you about I think it was a couple of weeks after you sustained that injury five years ago, and you'll have to never lasting Mark on both me and Craig, and it's one of the reasons why are charity hockey game has risen to the level that it has gotten too because not only did you touch out. You you touched our listeners. You've touched a lot of former NHL players the devils have gone out of their way to make us feel at home at the rock. Even though you and I are both passionate ranger fans, but we're hockey fans, and I think the devils have recognized that and you know, we're five years into this. Now, you've kept your spirit is high as I can I can ever magin it being and I'm just wondering, you know, five years later. I mean, what what what does a day like today mean to you is is it a mile? I'm just trying to figure out and wrap my head around. Exactly how you feel about today. Well, listen, I I kinda like to think that the second birthday because when I got hurt I was seventeen year old kid, and I was supposed to grow up quicker than most any team year old kids. I I became a young man very quickly and five years five years later, I've grown so much online so much just about myself as a person that I would never trade for the world because I have so much more knowledge today can help so many more people today. I ever could have hockey players. So five years later down the road. You know, ever be like today, there will be a moment where I sit in gathering. My thoughts about it. All right, something out it out there. That'd be probably the only time. I'll get emotional, bur. A couple of minutes. That is just you to keep it rolling because like goes on. I'm sure maybe at like a ten year Mark or something a milestone like that? They don't get any more. But. Keep rolling keep going. You can't let. Bercy you stop you. And that's that's why. That's the spirit that that. I know that. And I saw the first time we spoke to you. And and it lives today within you. You know, interestingly enough much in the highlights of last year's game at the rock, and it was Geos first foray into it. So you actually inspired geo to go out there and act like Zamboni. Wipe up the ice as he kept falling all over the place. Jio? He was great for some quick relief. Let me tell you that. You needed? So you need some help from the rats. I remember in the in the locker and geo is actually asking my younger brother who's going. Could you give me any? Remember, my brother was just like. Yeah. Just stay from puck. And then she was like, how'd you? Well, that's exactly what happened Mike, and I probably would be remiss, and I and I think I can speak for Craig. In this instance, that he wishes you the very best. And I know that you're thinking of him as well. And we just want to say thank you for calling in this morning. And as we think about what happened five years ago and the difference that you've made in so many people lives, and we can't wait to see you again. For Mikey strong, our fifth annual charity game at the rock on March twenty second. Yeah. I can't wait to be there. And like you said about Craig I I am I am very much in extremely ungrateful for what I've done along with you and j geo and Alan the tire crew. So thank you very much for everything and various you. All right. God bless we'll see you. Then umbrella looking forward to this one. It's going to be a great time of year to have it. I know that there's gonna be a lot of players involved again. So last year that was that was one of the more. I opening experiences that I had in a long time charity game last. You're seeing Mikey seeing his attitude seeing all the people coming out to support him. How you know he he puts together more good days and bad days. And that says a lot about the man that he is turning into. So in a man that he is. So I'm really really proud to be a part of it again for the second year. See if there is a silver lining is that he's had a profound effect on so many. Yeah. And I just can't you know, his spirit is is unbreakable. You know, why? Because he's a hockey player at heart. Yeah. Absolutely absolutely loves the game. And that's why so many hockey players come out to support them because they they know his passion for the game. And they know his passion for life. Nevels fielded an all star. He's unbelievable. I told Brad Richards. I said look to, you know, get mardi Saint Louis. Let's go. I mean, what are we doing here? You guys got killed. I know we did. To work on the roster man can only go bring down Colton war. That's great. Kevin west Garth, those guys are fighters, but these guys Kovolev Alexia Alexi he and his son like the play like they're connected to each other. Yeah. I know you don't wanna play with them online. Yeah. It was like the little mini me. And they look exactly the same. That his son is going to be a little bit better than he was last year last year. He was already really good. I know Zak Zaki what's happened. What's up Zac morning? Hey, guys. Couple of things. First thing I think Philly is going to go on a sick run. Carson if. Does this job? I think one should get the boot. Oh, what's it called the nationals almost eighty million for stroudsburg? And sure for next I think. I think the and the worst. At least fifty million and the last thing depend on the Jordan is LeBron were to play in Jordan era. You say he would like be relevant. Yes. Absolutely. Jordan in the yes, Roberta. Yes, you gotta be really relevant with all these young guys running around in circles. Like, you really think about has that size. He does does really great enjoyed his. I don't know that rate. Mind numbing. What is I you? See James harden doing what he's doing? There. You know, Michael Jordan is was such a freak athlete. And I always say this about the Gretzky's of the world that Jordan's of the world they could play in any era because they had not only the I q for the sport that they played in. But the unbelievable physical gifts that were given to them. You know, and the internal want to to be the greatest, and I doubt very many athletes come along that have that combination. And that's why no matter what era I think the guys like LeBron and Colby and Jordan and magic and bird could be as good as they were. Then as they would be today now on his first point now, I know we're sitting here laughing because I think that this is going to be a moot point because I think the bears are going to beat the eagles, and that's going to be that. Right. And this magical thing is gonna come to an end. But if Nick foles puts together, another one of these magical, he's only thirty years old. I mean, how could you even if they got back to the Super Bowl? Let's even say they want to playoff games, and we're in an NFC championship game and played a competitive NFC championship game and lost. How can you just say goodbye to that guy? It's it's it's an insanity. You can't do that. Now. I know there's a lot of cap implications. Twenty million dollars roster bonus wherever the hell is going on with falls contract. They would make it prohibitive for them to keep him. But you got Carson Wentz to by all accounts is just awesome. When he's healthy. But he hasn't been and you got another guy that's taking place to places you've never seen before. He's only four years older than Carson Wentz. Nicole sit there in a tough spot. But I think, you know, Doug Peterson said it I think how he Roseman believes that I think everybody there in Philadelphia believes that the Carson Wentz is truly a great player and Ken beak and continue to grow to be into eating better player than he is the arm strength the ability to run and all that other stuff. You can't you can't deny the problem is with him is the injuries. And now he's got a he's got to learn to play more like, Andrew luck. You know, what I mean, you can't be running around like a lunatic out. They're just not sustainable, and that's why I'm saying that about Lamar Jackson. I said that about Andrew luck. I said that about Cam Newton. I'll say about any quarterback. I'll even said about Mitch Trubisky that has a predominance of running in their game. It's yeah, it's great from time to time. But it's not good for longevity. The same thing can be said about Josh Allen up in buffalo. Yeah. They're freak athletes. They're big they're strong. But the game is meant to be. From the pocket from our position long term. If you want to have success like that. So I I think that Carson Wentz is definitely there guy. And I don't think that they're going to win this weekend. But saying that if they do win, I'm just going to change a change your ching for Nick foles. But I just I want everybody to paint them. But I wonder if it's like a Nick foles eagles thing though. You know what I'm saying? Like you came out of there. You put them someplace else in the same. Magic isn't going to happen. Now. Let's go to Mark in Waterbury. Connecticut, Mark what's happening? Good morning. This is this is really for bulwark. I happened to be at the game the other night with a buddy of mine had tickets, and we were sitting up by the penalty box were like five guys. They're Price Little bit under the weather. There must have drinks and they were hairy haring Crosby. But as independent when he was in the penalty box. Yeah. Scabby, tell you shake his head. They're all kid about how he wasn't a good hockey player highschool. They would I don't know what was going on there. But they were up and down this guy the whole game gave over there. Get ready, and I guess Crosby sent his trainer up became a hockey stick with it said could Chirps take it easy on me next time, and then he signed his name. So I didn't even like Crotty. Now, I love the guy because that's the type of guy. Listen, if you're on your team you love him. He's one of the great players of all time to he's another one. But I will say this. I was chirping him the other night and in semi over stick bright. Well, he doesn't respect you what it comes down to. Right. I know yesterday on Twitter, I showed that story coach cower to the game near the you know, because he's a penguins fan is he he has people out there. Don't believe that. He is. Yeah. But he because he had a friend Ron Francis. That ran the hurricanes the Carolina Hurricanes, and he had a home down in Raleigh where he went to college before. A hurricanes penguins playoff game. He led the towel world or something. But yeah, just drove Pittsburghers nuts told me the other night. He goes now I can actually root for the penguins because my friend Ron Francis is not running hurricanes anymore. So I took them there. And there's a kid on the penguins Aston rhesus this last name, and I guess Bill new his dad's somewhere so as he was behind the neck because that's where we're sitting. I was yelling at estimates. I know your daddy's a bomb. Coaches like what what are you doing? So I was chirping Aston research. Maybe he can send me a stick with his signed autographs with brought out. Okay. Penguin stick? And I can't stand the penguins. Well, let's do a lot of winning make a lot of people jealous and all that works. All right, boomer and geo on the fans, CBS sports.
