"All right, so Drake London is so good. He can compare himself to a car. Matt Miller is so good, he can compare us, compare rookie wide receivers to veteran wide receiver, so let's do it Matt, take some of these draftees and go through them and make a pro comp. Starting with that aforementioned Drake London. Yeah, I love Drake London. He is my top receiver in this draft. And I see Mike Evans, especially Mike when he was coming out of Texas saying him. If you remember, he was this player that lined up sometimes in the slot. Sometimes outside, but was a super sized wide receiver prospect. Drake is great at the catch point. He's a weapon in the red sun as somebody. People will say, oh, he doesn't separate, you don't have to. You could sky point the ball you could separate with size and with that leaping ability. So I do think like Mike Evans, he's going to be a red zone nightmare in the NFL. And somebody that I think will make a day one impact wherever he's drafted next year. Now one of the most polarizing players who got a Ben Simmons comp from my tea is Derrick stingley junior who I come to Marshawn latimer. Remember Marshawn had some injury concerns coming out of Ohio State but had that great final season where he flashed ball Hawking skills. He has the speed to mirror and match with wide receivers down the field and in somebody that I think can become some of the flips of field in the NFL has the instincts, the awareness and the timing to really be a shutdown corner when healthy. So stingless ceiling is absolutely through the roof and I do think he could be that first corner drafted. Now the player we're talking about is potentially the number one overall pick. It's hard to find a cop for travon walker because he is 6 5 two 71 and ran a four 5 40 yard dash. We don't see that very often, but I think we'll play style perspective. Frank Clark, somebody who uses his link very well. Someone who can stun past blockers with his first step quickness now travon has more inside ability we'll see him kick inside and rush from a three technique at times, but if he's playing as a true four three defensive end, I think someone like Frank Clark with that link and first step burst is what travon walker hopefully can be. And finally, we can't do comics without some quarterbacks. Can you pick it? I see some of it could be light Kurt cousins. He's never going to have the strongest arm in the NFL. He's never going to be the most mobile, but someone who can get it done from a rhythm based offense with his underneath accuracy. I think Kenny actually is a little more athletic, a little more mobile than Kirk was especially coming out of college, especially where he's at now in his career, but I do think Pickett in the right scheme guys could be a productive starting quarterback if he has some weapons around him like cousins has in Minnesota. And cousins are certainly made himself plenty of money along the way. Can you pick it with? I'm sure love to follow that path. Let's stick with the quarterbacks. Matt, you only have two of them going in the first round of your latest mock draft is now out today. That would be the fewest quarterback shrapnel in the first round. Since 2015, might as a panther is trading back to pick ten, collecting Kenny Pickett there and then Malik Willis going to pick number 20 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Matt corralled with the next quarterback take. And that'd be the sea auction second round with pick 40 and then three picks later, the falcons select Desmond Ritter. So let me ask you, Sam, do you think that Malik Willis last until pick number 20? It feels like such an obvious match between he and the Steelers. It looks like a perfect match. I don't know if he'll last all the way till 20. You look at Malik Willis, and what do you get frustrated by? You say, okay, man, he played old miss. The biggest game of the year. We all had that game circle. He got sacked 9 times. All those sacks, they run his offensive line. You turn on the other games, and he's dominant. He's making place. He's not the tallest, like biggest guy, but when he moves, he moves like Ben Roethlisberger, a hard guy to bring down. Then you talk about his accuracy. He's an accurate quarterback. He's got great touch, especially down the field. So it's a great fit for Pittsburgh. I just don't know if he will last all the way till 20 Matt. I love to hear your comments. I want to hear Matt's comment on Malik Willis. That'd be something I should have asked him. We'll get there in a second. Earlier in the earlier block I should ask. My team, what have you got? Well, what's so interesting about this year, I see Kenny Pickett going 6 to Matt rule, who he recruited when he was the head coach at temple, and when Matt rule thinks about I either have Sam darnold or Kay pick up maybe Baker Mayfield. That's why I think Kate Pickett goes 6 now, maybe they can trade back. I doubt it. And then Malik Willis at 20, that's a massive drop off, but right now most teams don't think they have to trade up for a quarterback, and I don't see another team that needs a quarterback between 6 and 20. So it's a very unusual year to see just two quarterbacks go at the top 20 and such a big divide between going all the way from 6 to 20 to seeing that next quarterback go. Yeah, Mike, I think that is probably one of the most interesting points in this draft is where just the run on quarterbacks happened because if the New Orleans Saints surprise us and take one at 16 or 19, will that run could star earlier? Does the team try to trade back into the first round to get the 5th year rookie option rookie contract option on a player like Desmond Ritter or Matt crowle or even Sam how from North Carolina, whose name was generating a lot of buzz. So we're sitting here two days away and trying to figure out where the landing spots are for these quarterbacks. That is what makes this year really unique. And Sam, I'm glad you asked because I went Jalen hurts with the Malik Willis cop. We could get into it off air because it's a longer conversation. You know, it's interesting Matt though, when you look at the history of the 32nd pick, teddy Bridgewater, Lamar Jackson, two quarterbacks at one 32nd overall. I agree with you. I think the last pick of the first round will be a quarterback. Now, assuming Detroit doesn't take one at the top of the first round, I think they take one at 32 or a team maybe in the mid 30s comes up. For exactly what you said, Matt to get that 5th year option, which is so immensely valuable for a rookie quarterback. Is there any consideration for you at pick 8 for the Atlanta Falcons and how strongly do you feel that they are going to have to walk away with at least one quarterback in this year's draft? If Mayfield 8 is too rich for Desmond red or a player I like, you know, a player that we had on this show, not that long ago. So I do think that he can become a starter with the inaccuracy issues have to be fixed. So drafting him at 8, you're saying, you're the future of this franchise. I haven't seen that from him. I would feel much more comfortable in the early second round. I will throw out there. We get closer to the draft. You have to keep it on the Tennessee Titans and Desmond redder though. Mike vrabel's best friend, Luke fickle. Head coach at Cincinnati. So there's definitely some connection points to where it could be a surprise late first round pick with Ryan Tannehill 33 years old and only one more year on his contract currently. Yeah, I'm really excited about that. It'll be interesting to see where Desmond rider goes. Obviously people have talked about Pittsburgh within the other conversation is people know that Pittsburgh is excited about Willis. I just want to know what's going to happen. We're two days away from this draft. And there's so much conversation. We've had these conversations about trades that may or may not happen. I can not wait to see what happens in T minus what do you say? 48, maybe 50 hours, something like that. I wasn't there, Sam. I think it's the quarterback, the quarterback of the quarterback. What happens? We know the first two are going to go, but do two more sneak in, Ritter, corral, to Sam how make it make it 5. I think it's fascinating that as Matt said, we're 48 hours away, and there's massive question marks around the quarterback. Can not wait to see how it all shakes out. "If you ask me, that has to know people. That would be his only red flag. Only red flag hollandaise has been said, God bless you. Oh man, all right. Story the draft going in based on your sitting at the breakfast table and here in pretty much every narrative from soup to nuts is what? What do you got? Mystery and chaos. I'm really excited for this draft rich. And I'm most excited, I think, for Friday morning. Because people are going to be so mad and so flummoxed because this is this great part of the draft process where the general fan that we love and respect, they're just convinced and they think that the mock drafts are right. They think that they're going to be accurate and mock drafts are a fun exercise. They're an exploration of what could happen, but when someone's favorite team doesn't take Malik Willis because Lance sirloin said they would and the fan loses their mind. Yes, that's the way it works. And I was just looking, I was doing a mock roundup. So even if you just look at the mocks in the NFL media group of which there are about 8, this stress is crazy because normally you know, you have the first three or four picks, you kind of know they're coming or they're leaked and you're kind of thinking as a fan. Let's get to the crazy picks. Let's get to the drunk picks. They're all talk. All 32, 9 different players mocked into the top 5. We have Kenny Pickett going to the Lions at two. We have Kenny Pickett going to the Lions at 32. Schrager has Matt corral going in the first round. Charles Davis, Desmond Ritter, Peter king has Malik Willis falling out of the first round and both Cynthia Freeland and Bucky Brooks have zero quarterbacks in the first round. It's already three Irish car bombs deep at the bar. So march must have been a major Jell-O shot then. Because this whole thing's been drunk ever since Brady said he was on retiring for two days before free agency. This whole thing has been off its axis. And you remember, you know, I'm just talking about the picks. Let's not forget if you're out having a bender with your Friends and you're just having beers or whatever. And someone has this terrible idea of, let's do some mind erasers, guys. The mind erasers in this sense are in the middle of the draft. Oh, by the way, deeper Samuel was just traded and breaking news, Jimmy Garoppolo was traded and Baker Mayfield was traded. Those aren't even the picks. Those are the minor racers that you drink from bottom up with a straw and then you pass out in a gutter. And that's not even the main course of the 32 picks. People say, oh, this draft is down. I love this dress. Well, I don't know if debo will be traded during a draft, that's got to happen in the next 48 I would assume. And I have no idea what the hell happened where some difference in debo's mind became irreconcilable. And we've all been sleuthing it out all week long. What is your two cents on the subject matter? Well, I think the simplest one is he's just making this rather garish power play just to get paid by the niners and that it's all smoke and that he's throwing a fit and he's putting messages out and just he sat there and he watched everybody get paid at his position and kind of came late in the season well after tyreek got paid and devonta and he's just throwing a fit and all the things are nonsense and he just wants to be paid and it's just a good old fashioned pay me wide receiver thing. The other thing is just something deeper that he sees himself as this other position. He doesn't like how he was being used. Look, I've heard maybe he doesn't like Trey Lance. I put all kinds of things. All I know is that if I'm trading for him and somebody sends the niners everything not nailed down to get deebo Samuel, I don't want him showing up and saying, I'm a wide receiver. I play the X out there. I know I want him to play debo. I want him to do the whole depot thing. So if he has some sort of feelings or a prerogative that this is right that I am a classical wide receiver and don't use me up in the backfield, I'm not interested. That's part of the degree of difficulty here because you have to get permission from the forty-niners to talk to him. Because you do, it's so rare you want to talk to a wide receiver to acquire him in the first question isn't how much or that question is how much it's not about money. It's about how much would you be willing to let us use you at running back because it's not because he's not a good wide receiver he's actually a very talented wide receiver who's very physical and can run away from people. It's the issue of how he's used that makes him unique. That makes him debo as you pointed out. And you'd have to have that conversation and that's all got to happen in the minute the niners actually give permission to speak to him, kind of gives up the play that I think they're going to make, which is call him up Thursday night and go, well, the draft is started and you're still with us because we're not giving you up. I know you saw Devante get what he wanted and you saw tyreek get what he wanted, but what we want is what we hope you want now because you're still here, you know? Yeah. All right, I've always said that draft picks draft picks are just scratchers. They're very appealing and they're fun and you have a bunch of them and they feel like money until you start getting the penny out and scratching them off and oh my gosh, this one didn't work. This one didn't work. This one didn't work. Sometimes none of them work. The real players are real cash money in your hands. Deebo Samuel is a proven star however expensive. You might be, I don't know if any of these guys are going to amount to anything. And that's the fun of the draft. It's not cash. It's the scratcher thing you buy. It's got cool pictures on it. You got all kinds of fun and a lot of times you end up broke. So anybody who could trade anything for debo, I'm still advocating for a top ten pick. I don't care. If you can do it, and you can pay them in the niners, say we have no choice. I would do it. Kyle Brandt here on the rich eisen show from good morning football. Smoke them if you got them for the bears, huh? On Thursday night. You know, if anything from them, I feel like they'll be trading assets. I just think we have Justin Fields and anybody else come and get them. We are going a full threat to trade, sell, beg, borrow deal, anything. The flu is loose with the head coach and he's like, if they were going to start this whole thing over, anybody but fields. If anything they'll trade back, if anything, they'll trade players. But I wish I could tell you some fiery thing that the bears are going to do. That was last year rich. And I remember sitting at the desk and watching you, you were there at the desk and the Giants logo on the bottom left part of the screen and just magically it changes to a bear's logo and all of Chicago exploded and then I think we just saw him turn into a crash test dummy combined with a rodeo clown for about 6 months and now we're trying to put something around them..

"Like them. I just think that they're a team. That has so much talent. And you always bet on talent. You always bet on talent. I'm curious camper. If you can stay healthy. I think he's an enormous. Who didn't have the best possible season last year. We've talked a lot about the goaltending situation. And how that plays itself oats between khudobin and hopi and injure in ben bishop. How do you see the dallas stars. This season i think their deep. I think they have a lot of players. Like to me. The thing with dallas. Is they look to me like a team. It kind of went through with pa- vel skin perry and they still a couple of other guys like that. Who are a little bit older. And you can't always depend on them to bring the most in the regular season so if you rest your group gets him into the playoffs you look at them and say i want no part of this guy. I think they got a lot of players like sudanese thirty six years old. But he's still a really fluid player. Who can play. Not as many minutes as he used to play but enough. I think they're going to be fine. I think no one's gonna wanna see them in the postseason if they're goaltending heads up. I think there are what passes in this. Division is a reasonably comfortable playoff team again. How much are they going to score. Like tyler sagan to me is can can he just get wine healthy season where he can you know. Breathe a little bit. That's something i want to see too but there's a there's a lot i like about this team. I just think they have a lot of good players. Talks with i just like that. like i think. When when your franchise player. And he's their franchise player is wired that way. I think it rubs off on everybody else because he signed these in. And you're like okay. He's taken care of everything. He needs to take care of on his own initiative. I liked this team to like. You know the one thing that difference for them this year is they're not going to surprise everybody that anybody this year last year. They surprised people and he's surprised people this year. That's not happening. Everybody knows who they are. And they're getting everybody's good game. So how do they handle that. And the other guy who i really think this year will be big for is doumba. 'cause there's no more rumors. He's a wild. No watch will go them tomorrow. Just a fool with all our minds. But i wonder how it's going to be for the doesn't have to worry about this stuff anymore. I think everybody realizes he's not a nine million dollar guy like nurse because his counting stats aren't that high. But he's still a really good really talented player. And i think they're battling to find where that sweet spot.

So it's not an oh, no moment when it comes to either one of these teams coming up the NFL season tonight, But if you're the Baltimore Ravens, Yikes, they lost not one but two key players. They lose Gus Edwards, the running back to a torn A C L and they believe the same thing happened to Marcus Peters, the cornerback happening on back to back plays. Jamison Hensley, ESPN Ravens reporter. What say you about who could replace Edwards at running back? It's going to be Tyshon Williams, and he was on the practice squad a year ago. Uh, they really liked him in training camp and in the preseason ran extremely hard. Every time you heard from players and coaches, they talked about his physicality, but the expectation was especially a couple weeks ago, he was going to be the number three back behind J. K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards well in a pre season finale. JK Darwin's He tears his A C L. He's out for the season and then today, Gus Edwards is out for the season. And then just last Thursday, the rain has lost a third running back Justice Hill to an Achilles injury. So the Ravens now have had three running back to go down with season ending injuries in the span of 12 days. That's why you have Tyson Williams, a practice squad player who has Zero NFL carries is now slated to start for the Ravens Monday night against Las Vegas Raiders Jason Over the last 19 days, the raves have had five players sustain season ending injuries. Five players In the last 19 days, they open up at your Las Vegas Raiders, and then you have to cancel the Chiefs at home if they thought that they could reduce the pressure on the Mark Jackson, their quarterback from not running as much that may have to go out the window, which means that we've seen that work at times, but it turns of sustained success and being a playoff team that can win in the playoffs. That's not the way they're going to go. They're going to have to go about it, but they have no choice because running back on the shelf and they've got to go to the waiver wire and the scrapheap and hope that's going to work. Deb Lamar Jackson and new weapons that they got from the draft and free agency. I think about like a fantasy football draft when you're sitting there in the sixth or seventh round and you're looking around and you realize there are no running backs left. They can really help your team. That's the real life version of what the Ravens are facing right now. Now, yes, they might be able to plug somebody in, but I think Freddy, the other big part of this is to your point. Greg Roman, the offensive coordinator in Baltimore has made it clear that he wants to open it up and throw the ball more to do that. You need teams to really respect all of the interesting ways that the Ravens run the football. I don't know why now, A decent run defense would have to account for that at all. If they can just man up and handle that, then all they have to do is worry about Lamar, the pastor that just made that much more difficult to open up. I think the Ravens early season just took a significant hit. When you're a team that many people wonder about that quarterback and I don't know why they're still wondering about it. I think to me, Jason, it's a lot of people don't want him to win that way. I don't want the Ravens to win that way. For whatever reason they like their quarterbacks the way they like their quarterbacks. There is a different way to be a successful quarterback or have a successful offensive National Football League and they look at Lamar Jackson. There's so many detractors. That don't believe you can win that way. Well, he's only been in the league three years he's winning MVP. There are no guarantees one way or the other. But I always thought that conversation or that narrative was interesting, said Hey, you guys overrating him. That guy is not as good so and so they always try to put him in the box, believing that's the way he should play quarterback. I think people would rather be wrong and stay wrong. Then have somebody be right. And they have to admit that you know what? I missed the boat on that. I think there's so many people more than ever before that will try to shout wrong and to existence. A shout wrong into a right exists. I'm thinking you don't care how stupid you sound by doing that. But it seems that a lot of people whether they believe they're experts, Jason don't believe that experts would rather be wrong but be loud. "To me when you look at this receiving core and you know who you know. Instead of going all the way around you know cut in. It's a beautiful thing you see running backs running up. I mean linebackers meeting the running. Back at the line of scrimmage getting into coverage being around the ball stripping them yes two weeks in a row. they're going for the we. That's something to bring up either two weeks in a row to. "Speed is obviously a completely different beast than practice And you know you're playing against garrett gilbert in practice or ghanouchi and practice. It doesn't matter. But i think that jordan lewis is still one of my favorite guys on defense. I think he still goes into week. One as the starter opposing trayvon digs I just think he needs a little bit more a little bit more confidence right now. That defense is playing well as a unit. And i think he might like. I can't speak for him. I don't know the guy but he might feel like he hasn't been his name has been called enough in the preseason already. Well my my last one is a Sorry another. I are player mitch. No anthony hines thirties. I believe he played for texas. Am he's an undrafted. Free agent He he i believe he's he got out on a stretcher there in arizona not pull but he got like real doubts. I think his injuries pretty severe and he was doing okay in camp. And i think he's going to be someone that they use that thing with so they can hold onto. Because i think he might have kind of a serious injury sear but one that would either take even. The dog agrees one. The Bare Bones HUD for Tourneys and Anonymous Sites
"So the barebones hud has seven elements to it. I'm gonna hit them each one at a time right now but i forgot to mention this earlier before the combat if you go to the show notes page for today smart booker said dot com slash bare bones hud. You can see a youtube video. That i posted there showing exactly how to create the seven element hood for yourself already. So the first element is the note editor now. This is in poker tracker for the no editor is super important because it's necessary for color coating your opponents by player type once you make some kind of read on them also in case you want to put a player note for when you're reviewing hands later on that note editor is important and lastly within the note editor if you've never actually opened up and take a look or taken a look. There is an auto notes feature that list. The hands that your opponent has shown down and how they played them pre flop did they three bit with pocket kings did they call with pocket kings. Whatever might be now. The second element is the player name now of course this is especially useful for tournaments when players. Come and go right as you're playing. You're paying attention to the action or paying attention to another table. Maybe and you might miss that. Bob one-two-three he left the table and is replaced by susan. Seven eight nine but that hud sometimes doesn't catch up for one or two hands so it's a really good idea to see that name. Make sure they correspond when they do. You know those hud stats belong to that player and now you can make some reads based on the base on the percentages to exploit them all right. The third element is the number of hands. Of course the more hands you have on a player just the more reliable. The numbers are in general. I think that reliability kind of begins at eighteen hands. If you're playing six. Max that's three orbits or flooring to orbits right so everybody has seen every position at least twice or three times. You start to develop reads right there. I'm not saying it's one hundred percent reliable. But that's where it begins. Eighteen hands two. Or three rounds. However you can start to understand your opponent after just four hands. Truly if they're v. Pippen forehands is one hundred percent. You're likely against a lose player right likely. Not one hundred percent sure but it's pretty close loose play right. There played for hands out of the four that you've seen them and being dealt if there is zero percent in twelve hands very likely a tight player now. Let's couple this with some other stuff right. If they're veep hip in four hands is one hundred percent. And you're thinking to yourself sky. That's not good enough to know that he's a loose player. Well what if you've been paying attention and you've seen those forehands where he v pipped two times. He called a to bet the two other times he limped and called a raise. Yeah now that you couple the actual actions. They've made with that one. Hundred percent v pip. You are up against super loose and passive fish and it's only been four hands but here's one of the critical things you've got to be willing to change any early. Read that you make. Because as you play more hands their stats are gonna converge to their actual tendencies. And maybe that's around fifty sixty hands or so and anything beyond that one hundred two hundred and you get yet. You're pretty darn certain that those numbers are they're tendencies and you can really start to exploit it then all right. So those first three things were elements not statistical elements but just useful parts of the hud. These next two right here are where the stats start in. These two are the most critical stats to have v. pip and pf are now these an initial read on their player type over time. Like i said everyone's tendencies play out and the numbers converge and you can be pretty confident that that forty slash five player. Yeah super loos fish right the other eighteen slash six team player totally tied aggressive. That's probably what your stats end up in the long run and that other guy thirty three slash twenty-seven yeah super loose aggressive player. Right and that other player even the maniac fifty slash forty two you have super maniacal player now by knowing their player type and just using. Epfr to get you that you can better play the player with your list of general exploits that you know work against each player type

But in the Grand Scheme of the sport, I, think those are three of the ten best teams in college basketball. We agree on that have Iowa fifth in the top twenty five in one.
