"Is the turnover is eternal absolutely being in positions is going so well. Let's still not my point. What's your point is my point is when you when you 'cause it like the fact that he he okay. That's better that's great. That's good this team for you're describing. Oh it's not a big deal. That the steelers fumbled and you know it was their mistake and we know you can't discredit that. Not at all play. I'm on your team. Somebody's forcing a turnover. Yup i'm team keith. On that one but anyway we'll talk about. The turnover is in fact things when those running lost play were driving and running at well and we were getting and taking angles then. All of a sudden one of them drops the ball. We cover it. We can't say we were playing. Good defense oh my god. But it's like let me make the point when running. We're stopping him. Behind the line of scrimmage they can't turn the corners on us and they get a five yard pass not only are we holding one. Guy's holding them up the other guy strips the ball. That's two different types of defense. Now you see why him and his mom are not binding thanksgiving his mouth and his mom's eating. It's the worst day ever. So listen quick you guys. You guys are on our last game against jacksonville so you know the jaguars half of a trevor lawrence. I'm excited. I watched him. I watched them last night as a matter of fact composed composed all so you see tibo throwing that block dude like for not for nothing that he got the job done so i don't care how bad it looks. He got his way. Not let me. And i'll i'll go ahead with. Anybody is literally in the top. Three college football players. "To me when you look at this receiving core and you know who you know. It's it's very easy to this isn't easy but we're doing so five out of all of ours if we can if we guest if we guessed five out of all of us without talking to each other before by the one. We really did not i mean. That's that's you know. Listen i'll call it a call. How it is the most realistic thing. If we call five out of five they should they should probably just you know higher as gm at this point for brad sham can. I honestly nude mine is just based off of looking. I don't i didn't see most of them play. I'm just more analyzing what our first and second team are doing. I don't really care about the offense really the offense. The offense is going run There was a picture tweeted out of concern. They keep cd lamb a lot. I mean he played he starting that he's getting a lotta burn. Of course i mean literally can't go you literally can't go practice without a highlight from him. He's something special. And i'm really getting excited about him getting ready to game. I don't need to see him. I don't need to see. Zeke was the custom ball. You i did. I think for the dress rehearsal. They come in for a little bit. And that's it. Like i said i agree like what br you don't need the like the only thing i need the only thing i really need to see in a contrary to a lot of people that are like you know they watched us arizona game and are like oh man. This is why you don't play. Now you're gonna lose gallimore you're gonna lose all these players but will blow. I need to see dak prescott in game speed. I need to. I need like he's got. He's coming off the ankle shoulder. he's got to get in there for at least a drive one drive driving. Maybe i don't think i don't think he comes in this week. He doesn't need to come in this week. it's one of the bonuses of us having an extra preseason game okay. Now if he was one hundred percent healthy. I would've liked to see them. Take snap against the cardinals right. Grammy of court. Yeah but he's not. Why low what. Why would you risk an re-aggravating that thing as is healing the way it should heal. I'm not. I'm not even saying. I just want to see him. Suit up and get in there and run the cadence and run the offense for a series. That's it that's all. I wanna say. It should be this game. I think fine fine. Get a couple of drives next week after houston wherever i forgot who that game is. I'm curious okay. It doesn't matter what it is. I don't know if i've been clipboard in writing. Defense all i care about and i am so excited and happy because this is where you can see. What we got to work with is is in these type of preseason games and again like he said mom you're when you're fumbling as a running back okay or dropping passes as a receiver. That's a bad side right. That's something you should be doing in preseason muffing snaps when you're not a center that's what you're gonna see in preseason but when it comes to those interior linemen going at it and and the way that they're playing just pure like almost you know not pulling the ring type stuff you know what i mean and football when it's one on one drills and really get to see who's who can get the penetrations got the good hand movement you can get around the the Take the right angles at the quarterback. Instead of going all the way around you know cut in. It's a beautiful thing you see running backs running up. I mean linebackers meeting the running. Back at the line of scrimmage getting into coverage being around the ball stripping them yes two weeks in a row. they're going for the we. That's something to bring up either two weeks in a row to. Yeah we have not had that man trying to tell you in week one. Preseason.

"Speed is obviously a completely different beast than practice And you know you're playing against garrett gilbert in practice or ghanouchi and practice. It doesn't matter. But i think that jordan lewis is still one of my favorite guys on defense. I think he still goes into week. One as the starter opposing trayvon digs I just think he needs a little bit more a little bit more confidence right now. That defense is playing well as a unit. And i think he might like. I can't speak for him. I don't know the guy but he might feel like he hasn't been his name has been called enough in the preseason already. Well my my last one is a Sorry another. I are player mitch. No anthony hines thirties. I believe he played for texas. Am he's an undrafted. Free agent He he i believe he's he got out on a stretcher there in arizona not pull but he got like real doubts. I think his injuries pretty severe and he was doing okay in camp. And i think he's going to be someone that they use that thing with so they can hold onto. Because i think he might have kind of a serious injury sear but one that would either take even. The dog agrees one. That would take when that would take you know eight weeks or up right so come back from so. I think that's where i'm gonna go with. I don't think i did i. I also had on here. Receiver aaron parker. Who's another one that he he. We had him last year. I remember. Yeah we caught him. Put him on the practice squad and then you know he's back. I haven't been hearing anything about him. Taking a guy like hammer probably get caught in the next round. Yeah we'll see.

"It's a popular baseball injury. That you guys. It's like under the armpit. Thank god it's not the shoulder right. It's not like a rotator cuff or anything like that. It looks pretty Promising like you know should be good to go for week on now. Heidi action they said next week very true they might suit them up against the texans. I got in a play. He's not playing. I don't foresee that either. I mean the warm-ups against there's warm ups. I mean they obviously dallas cowboys dot com or putting out videos on twitter and all the social media at this guy was warming up with cooper Before the cardinals game. And that's great. It's a great positive thing to see. I want to ask you guys this. 'cause i mean we haven't taught we haven't spoke since last week so that was before hard knocks so hard knocks comes and goes you guys both watch it. Obviously i mean we don't have to dive into too much. 'cause i'm sure the network you know completely either praised it a rip that apart or both but i i do ask you guys you know. How do you guys feel about this second. Like different side of dak prescott. What do you mean he's to me. There's there's podium dak prescott and then there's practice dak prescott like he's over there and his personal storm and he's like these tell people get out of his way basically like i'm music aamer. You know everybody has those two sides. You know what i mean except for keys. Mom one hundred when you guys were sending your little. You know you know this this person's great tax than oh look at this person to you're watching our knox hours watching it at the same time and if you notice i didn't send one tax. Okay did you put your phone. Did you put your phone on your couch like you do. During the game it was annoying me. Everything was your car are what first of all. Let's just agree. That demo joe thing was generic. Emo- joe thing was very very odd. That was you know what i love. I do love the way. I really loved back but we always knew he was a competitor. You know what i mean. It's like it's like when you go on a date you meet the order. You're dating somebody you meet their parents. You're not the same guy that you are. You know in the bedroom so to speak very true. You know what i mean. So that's that's his podium voice but the way he you know he's always been wanting it bad. I mean he the kid. The kid is not a soccer. He's a competitor. But i love dan quinn. And that's who stood out to me the most. Do that guy talks. Like he's he's like i don't know man from a street. He's one of us. Q man you know you need to step it up right I i i was. I'm really excited about the defenseman. And i wanna speak first on arizona's game but not yet know what we'll go right into the talk about hard know want to intercept it and you know judge me for drinking a white cloth like you always do all right so this is my problem with the whole thing. All right.

"He has to develop an offensive game. It would not totally surprised me if he gets traded this all season. However, when you asked me do I think Ben Simmons will be back in Philadelphia for this next season? I do think he will be there. Think they're going to give him one more opportunity. But with that being said, I don't expect much of a change in the approach in Ben Simmons game. I really do believe this. And I said in the open that what you heard from Doc Rivers and Joel and be last night was a change in approach. It's the final straw. It's the final up, Wake up call for Ben Simmons and a matter what work he's put in the past. No matter what works he puts in this offseason If we don't see an improvement in this next regular season, the next year will be his last year in Philadelphia, he still under contract through the 2024. 2025 season. It becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2025, but I don't think he'll see the end of that contract in Philadelphia. I do believe that the Sixers though we'll give him one more opportunity, Ryan, let me just get a different voices on this conversation before we go to the phones at 855 to 1 to four, CBS 855 to 1 to 42 27. Right now, do you think and sometimes it's okay to get caught up in the moment when I ask you this question on Monday, June 21st at 6 27. PM Eastern. Do you think Ben Simmons is back in Philadelphia next season, Starting on opening night for the 70 Sixers? No. You think he's getting traded? I do. Now the first team that comes to mind in a possible trade. Really think maybe Portland Now I don't know if it makes sense for Portland. Portland does need help on the defensive end. Ben Simmons is a good defender. Offensively. You obviously trust him. Will it enough? Maybe the Portland Trail Blazers go. We'll give Philadelphia C J. McCollum. I don't know what else would have to work in that deal. I don't even know if Portland would be interested when I did see, though the Ben Simmons trade conversation today one of the first teams that I thought of where he could go. Or maybe where a trade could develop. First time I just thought it was at how about Portland because Portland needs changes. They're down to two people left in their head coach in search One is Becky Hammond. And the other is Chauncey Billups. So we'll see who they hire as a coach to replace Terry starts and then it becomes well, What else are you going to do to make Damian Lillard happy and have a change in approach in Portland? Why do you think, though Ben Simmons is done Finished Finito in Philadelphia. Because I think the problem is he has one can't be fixed and two if the Sixers want to win a title with Embiid, you can't really waste much more time to me. You can go another year or two and hoping he turns runs if Simmons doesn't turn it around. Your 0.2 years from now and beat is has that much more wearing Turner's body already struggle to stay healthy, So it's like you every year that goes passes, just lessening your changes of winning a title. With a top five player in the NBA. When he's healthy. Let me go back because they were in on James Harden and the way that it kind of seem was, they didn't want to trade Ben Simmons, or maybe down more. He felt he could not trade Ben Simmons first year on the job for James Harden. When you look back and it's easy to second guess Was that a wrong decision that Darryl Morey made should have pulled the trigger to trade Ben Simmons for James Harden. Because I have an answer. That may surprise you on that. Yeah, I mean, sitting here today, I'll say yes. In the moment. I can't like I said, no. I thought they should kept Ben Simmons. But when you see the guy can't shoot free throws, not even now being aggressive in wanting a shot because he's afraid to shoot free throws. Hard to get the complete opposite so sure as the ball hawk. Sure, he's a guy that doesn't really play his best in the playoffs. I couldn't kill hard to go for this year in the playoffs. Oh, absolutely not just being clear, though, because he did not play well in this postseason. Usually I will trash James Harden, even though I do have a fear the beard shirt for his shortcomings in the postseason with how gutsy of of a performance of just trying on one leg when many other guys would sit out and you want to hear a word from them. Do give James Harden for at least giving it a go and playing the minutes that he did. It was impressive until you saw him shoot the basketball. He had that one fortuitous bounce in Game seven when he hit that three that banked in. You were like, Oh, here you go with the Brooklyn Nets. Here's why I still think that not that it would have been a mistake. But I would not been on board and I'm not even a huge Ben Simmons fan. Why would not been on board of having Ben Simmons traded to the Rockets for James Harden and James Harden is clearly the better basketball player. How many times have I seen? James Harden with another really strong guy, and I get it. James Harden has been right the number one in this case, he would be the number two to Joel Embiid, but you go through it. James Harden, paired up with Dwight Howard didn't lead to a championship. James Harden with Chris Paul didn't lead to a championship. James Harden, paired with Russell Westbrook didn't lead to a championship. Even if the Sixers have James Harden. Let's assume that he's healthy. I still don't think they go to the finals this year. I don't because Tobias Harris kinda gotta pass for last night. He did the takeover in that fourth quarter and he did not. We knew this was going into the postseason. Ben wasn't going to show up offensively. And then also you needed you needed to buy his Harris to show up and bending and Ben didn't show up in. Tobias Harris didn't take over. So I thought I would have been on board with the six was trading for James Carter. They could have kept Ben Simmons That wasn't really realistic, though, because I guess the Sixers didn't have enough to offer now with that being said. When you evaluate that, if down, Marie was a year and on the job, and that was in his first year Think they would have traded Ben Simmons. I don't think Daryl felt that he could have came in in the first year and not give Ben Simmons an opportunity. If Darryl was there for a full year like this, if James hard to get traded this year and had to say disgruntled in Houston Obviously it's easy to say that now, but if you put that maybe it down, got their year earlier then I think it would have been a little bit different for your number two of down Maury, where he could have done that. I think it would have been a tough sell to do that in the moment. And you always have that fear. Will. James isn't a great finisher. You think he would be brought in here to finish? And we've seen him so many times with another partner, another person in place, and it hasn't worked and it hasn't reached to a championship. Now. Don't get me wrong. I'd rather have Joel and bead. Then Dwight Howard. I'd rather have Joel Embiid than uh, Chris Paul. I'd rather have Joel.
Bethesda is Sorry for Starfield Exclusivity
"Star field. Big space fearing rpg from edessa isn't coming to playstation rocks off confirmed as much in s e. The Bare Bones HUD for Tourneys and Anonymous Sites
"So the barebones hud has seven elements to it. I'm gonna hit them each one at a time right now but i forgot to mention this earlier before the combat if you go to the show notes page for today smart booker said dot com slash bare bones hud. You can see a youtube video. That i posted there showing exactly how to create the seven element hood for yourself already. So the first element is the note editor now. This is in poker tracker for the no editor is super important because it's necessary for color coating your opponents by player type once you make some kind of read on them also in case you want to put a player note for when you're reviewing hands later on that note editor is important and lastly within the note editor if you've never actually opened up and take a look or taken a look. There is an auto notes feature that list. The hands that your opponent has shown down and how they played them pre flop did they three bit with pocket kings did they call with pocket kings. Whatever might be now. The second element is the player name now of course this is especially useful for tournaments when players. Come and go right as you're playing. You're paying attention to the action or paying attention to another table. Maybe and you might miss that. Bob one-two-three he left the table and is replaced by susan. Seven eight nine but that hud sometimes doesn't catch up for one or two hands so it's a really good idea to see that name. Make sure they correspond when they do. You know those hud stats belong to that player and now you can make some reads based on the base on the percentages to exploit them all right. The third element is the number of hands. Of course the more hands you have on a player just the more reliable. The numbers are in general. I think that reliability kind of begins at eighteen hands. If you're playing six. Max that's three orbits or flooring to orbits right so everybody has seen every position at least twice or three times. You start to develop reads right there. I'm not saying it's one hundred percent reliable. But that's where it begins. Eighteen hands two. Or three rounds. However you can start to understand your opponent after just four hands. Truly if they're v. Pippen forehands is one hundred percent. You're likely against a lose player right likely. Not one hundred percent sure but it's pretty close loose play right. There played for hands out of the four that you've seen them and being dealt if there is zero percent in twelve hands very likely a tight player now. Let's couple this with some other stuff right. If they're veep hip in four hands is one hundred percent. And you're thinking to yourself sky. That's not good enough to know that he's a loose player. Well what if you've been paying attention and you've seen those forehands where he v pipped two times. He called a to bet the two other times he limped and called a raise. Yeah now that you couple the actual actions. They've made with that one. Hundred percent v pip. You are up against super loose and passive fish and it's only been four hands but here's one of the critical things you've got to be willing to change any early. Read that you make. Because as you play more hands their stats are gonna converge to their actual tendencies. And maybe that's around fifty sixty hands or so and anything beyond that one hundred two hundred and you get yet. You're pretty darn certain that those numbers are they're tendencies and you can really start to exploit it then all right. So those first three things were elements not statistical elements but just useful parts of the hud. These next two right here are where the stats start in. These two are the most critical stats to have v. pip and pf are now these an initial read on their player type over time. Like i said everyone's tendencies play out and the numbers converge and you can be pretty confident that that forty slash five player. Yeah super loos fish right the other eighteen slash six team player totally tied aggressive. That's probably what your stats end up in the long run and that other guy thirty three slash twenty-seven yeah super loose aggressive player. Right and that other player even the maniac fifty slash forty two you have super maniacal player now by knowing their player type and just using. Epfr to get you that you can better play the player with your list of general exploits that you know work against each player type

"News for the nationals as they find out a positive test and assess their charter plane on a charter plane heading back from Florida earlier this week. "Think the Lakers are still top to bottom, the best team talent wise, a team that's outside of the top 10 and defense, the Brooklyn Nets, but maybe the number one offensive firepower team in the league when it's all said and done. It's a dangerous, dangerous team. When it gets to the postseason. Everything changes. It's a different system. You get into smaller benches. You start using her your big guys much differently than you may otherwise have used them at the end of the regular season, so And you would tell the side on a or agree with Stephen A. Smith here that while last night was not an indicator of what this season's gonna hold, I don't know that I can put my eggs in the Laker championship basket without Anthony Davis out there, so we'll see how this thing irons out. We're gonna get into some baseball. On the other side. Melissa locker is gonna join me from the athletic talking Oakland A's baseball as well as free agency around the major leagues. Trevor Bauer. The big name. Obviously that signed Fernando to teach junior Gets his big contract and Trevor Rosenthal is gonna be getting paid from Theeighties for the next three years. Even though it's just a one year deal. I love it the way Ken Rosenthal put it out on Twitter last night, it made me laugh. It's deferred money, right? Which is you defer taking it all in fright. You'll take some of the back end. He initially in his tweet called it a back loaded deal, and I was like, how the hell do you You're back Little one year contract. I'll give you a buck in the first month, and by the time we get to the end of it, you're gonna be getting 11 million in that final month of the season. You get nothing till September. Then we'll pay it out. So we'll talk a little baseball on the other side, and then we get back into some of the basketball. We gotta talk about these comments last night from Shaquille O'Neal, as well as from Charles Barkley, who both made statements last night intended the Jet Smith talking about the All Star snub from Damian Lillard, which I agree. It's an All Star snub. However, they're talking that maybe he should have been a starter over. Luca, Don change. Your Steph Curry will have to talk about that as well as the statement from Kenny, the Jet Smith and out Damian Lillard being a top five player on the planet right now. I love me some dame Lillard, you're gonna get be hard pressed to find anybody who supports the fluid as much as I do. But when you're talking about cutting down my guy, Steph, we got problems. We're going to talk about that. We'll get into that a little bit later about 5 30 after Melissa Locker joins me from the athletic, A little baseball talk on the other side on KNBR, one of 45 and 6 80. Dave. I know it's Friday. "five players" Discussed on KOA 850 AM
"Because if you've got your Generational quarterback who's the second highest rate of passing on history. The game girlie on Lee behind my homes, you can continue to build around that, and they've got enough good pieces, especially on offense that you outscore most your opponents. Okay. Brokers waved five players today on die Understand why that usually is done. But why did they do it? And why did they do it now? Well, The timing of it was such that these guys are all under contract and would still be Broncos property. If you will, into the spring and summer. It's not like saying shall be Harris, right? Who is going to be unrestricted free agent? They don't wanna bring Shelby back at all. This contract would just be up in the league year would start right because I believe he's in the building now working out because he can and going through some rehab it and all of that, But that'll change March 17th in the new year starts if he goes somewhere else, and I doubt it'll be. They're that close to that, anyway. But these guys can could continue to keep going well into the spring and after George Payton did his evaluation and met with all the coaches over last couple weeks. They thought now was the right time to make this move on these five guys because they want to make sure to get their ipads and playbooks back and not have them. In the facility in case they were to get injured or something, because then you're on the hook for paying him more money when you didn't really play on keeping them, so it's kind of one of those things where they got to the point where they knew these five guys, we're gonna be back. Really? No matter what. So they kind of rip the band aid off today, the one that surprised people's Elijah Holder because he played somebody was undrafted as a corner out of Stanford that I'm moving to safety. You don't run great. And then Joel Heath yellow reason you would know him. Is if you play Madden and don't your rosters for some reason. He's a starter on the defensive line in with the Broncos from August before they made the first roster update, But yeah, it was more. Just let's rip the band aid off and send these guys on their way and tell him thanks for their service. All right, more from our K away Broncos inside her Brenda Crystal on the other side. All evidence points to the Big Ten being the best league in America for a second straight season
"Today, turn our attention to the big ten where I have Iowa winning the regular season title while Norlander has pegged Illinois as the. Favourite and Wisconsin to finish second. So let's start there. Norrland explain to me why you're being totally disrespectful the frame McCaffrey to Luca Garza to this public research university that was founded in eighteen forty seven at CBS sports me Jerry Paul David all have Iowa in the top two but you and strong JAL cow bone have Iowa third in the big ten. Explain Yourself. This is gene wilders Al-Matar we're talking about for crying out loud. Oh, there we go. Something tells them you've been snooping around the Iowa wikipedia page. That's where I get all my goodland ACM forty, seven trivia gets on. What's the oldest institution in the Big Ten? Let's let's what do we think it is big ten rules. What's two oldest one founded first? What's our guest founded? I I'm running through right now I'm going to say it's Penn State Penn. State's your guests I'm going to go. I'M GONNA go man is a tough one I'm going to say. That's a good one. I'M GONNA say Michigan I'M GONNA Michigan sealed list no idea by the way no idea someone chips someone pleads tweet us and let us know I don't know when the oldest we could. Actually we could go and look through all the wikipedia pages in real time here. But let's let's make a fun quick podcast here you want to know why I have. Iowa. Third I'll let you WanNa know what that's what I want. That's what you want to I'll let you know that I talked with Sam visine yesterday good old Sam. Who May who may appear on this podcast remember never know it's always out there. He actually asked me where I have Iowa in my one, two, three, fifty seven and I said, well, I'm GonNa have them in the top ten but I'm actually going to have them behind. Illinois in Wisconsin. He goes. You're absolutely right and I don't know how many people are gonNA. Agree with you. But I'm with you hundred percent and the reason why is this this team has the preseason national player of the year and Luca Garza it's got a great talent and Joe Camp. Jordan bohannon terrific Khanna McCaffrey. Great. But defensively, there's enough there that are not there that I'm going to. Just sell a bit on a twenty eleven team from last season ninety, seven defensive efficiency at Ken Palm. I like Wisconsin's overall team just a smidge better smidge and I do like Illinois I think he's GonNa be the best team in the big ten. So I love that we have we need some more genuine disagreement on the podcast here I've got Illinois definitely as the as the best team in the big ten and then Wisconsin and then Iowa. But in the Grand Scheme of the sport, I, think those are three of the ten best teams in college basketball. We agree on that have Iowa fifth in the top twenty five in one. Illinois six and Wisconsin Tint So. You know. We're all in the same ballpark and I do think you can reasonably despite. My anger at the top of the podcast I do think you can reasonably have those three teams in. Any order as for Iowa. Five players last season start at least twenty games all five or back plus they get Jordan Bohannon Beck, they finish twenty third at. Kim. Tom. But they were 97th in defense of efficiency and quite clearly if you're trying to look for a reason why Iowa isn't actually going to break through and make the final four for the first time since nineteen eighty. Where you start is on the defensive side of the ball ninety seven defensive efficiency. It's hard to be great when you are that bad on the defensive end of the court,
OWL's Roster Dumping
"Having. I don't know if you. WanNa. Call it a a reckoning. Was the that's that's what the Bible is right? Yeah. The. Exodus to a certain extent for a lot of these teams calling it a a roster dump is what I'm going to call it because we are seeing. I, don't think I've ever seen look you on a they're giving call of duty off a run for its money when it comes to dumping players and dumping rosters and hitting the restart button and so I wanted him all right like big difference in the sense of with call of duty. You have a shuffle. It's not like twenty five players retiring at the same time we're losing their job, right? Like they're reshuffling because, hey, new games coming out can play a little different plays more like black ops. So let me play with these guys like this feels the but it's very different. Yeah, and there's also more of like a dark cloud over it. Right? Where everyone else like for call of duty you're so excited for the. It's almost like Ooh the season's done. Let's get ready for this roster shuffle, right like you get excited for it here. Everyone's like, whoa where like let's pump the breaks here overwatch like they're still going to be a season for like let's call now now. So let I want to discuss this a little bit because there is some like I say ominous dark theories floating around. So first off though you having teams. Clean House. Dallas fuel has dropped everyone but one player. Houston outlaws have dumped You know I don't think their entire roster but a good amount veterans of the of the Roster Link Cer- as we've known, they've also had some players leave during the season Ellie gladiators I think have dropped like four or five guys including again big goose fan favourite and everyone there mccreavy who. Just moved up like wait this past year. Well Yeah. It's like he was on contenders league for envy. And then he might have. Touched the fuel roster maybe for half a second and then went to La to play on the Overwatch League side of things dropped O. G. E.. So you're seeing these teams drop what you consider the best in the league. Now, I will say this overwatch. I think more than any sport. And maybe you agree maybe you don't the fans get caught up with fan favorites and it Kinda clouds, their judgment on who's a good player and who do you just like more like we're counterstrike and other games I feel like you have fan favorites but people will also realistically admit like, Yeah this guy's not the greatest alive right either washed up pro at this point or something you know. Win Time is running out a little bit more. So in a game, like CBS's seem the skills diminishing like og is the perfect example of this, right? Oh Jeez. been a longtime fan favorite really hasn't performed at like. The highest level over the past two seasons, you know you've kind of seen on his play decline. So as great of a person as he is as much as he's loved by teems has been on including NBN his most recent team. You know it kind of makes sense to that they'll be looking to make a change because it really hasn't worked out for them. Yeah and you're absolutely right and that's like with Dallas right I know as far as living in Dallas right? The fuel and their fans love like they love a Cam, they love trill he played with their farm system and moved up right Nonni his or. Only God has been here. Note he was a fan favourite a huge diva player when he moved over from Boston, like they have all these guys that they're loving and they're like, wow, how could this happen? It's like. Again. This is a business and results talk. A lot of these teams have expectations of at least being in contention for the championship. The fuel have been des- at least disgust since day one of the Overwatch League that they should have always been like a top team given their their resume and never lived up to it. So sometimes, you just have to hit that reset button and start fresh I. Am a little curious like unlike other east eastwards farm systems are generally. They're in place to move upright whether that's counterstrike although we've seen it like fall off on the side right. But that that's kind of always been key staple for counterstrike whether you're going into the ESPN or f pl ranked kind of find the young talent that that shows up on call of duty you through the amateur scene you see MVP's come out of it like Sim shots he wasn't playing amateurs, but still a new player kind of coming in and taking the League by storm on Voi-, another example of a young up and comer. With over watch a little curious to what this shuffle does. Right in that retrospect because is this is going to be taking these players recycling. I'm figuring out maybe this is a better pairing. So now we'll take you know this guy s team this guy from this team in kind, of Mesh, together just see what works with the same faces or is there a young farm system that all these teams are about to go poach from like that really unsure about, and that's an excellent point a new because that was going to be the next thing I said once again, proving that we are just. Truly in sync with each other at all times because. You're like like, I said before I get why teams are wanting to Clean House I get why they're unhappy with their roster this the suspicious side of me the conspiracy put on your tin. Foil. Hat. Side of me though is thinking, okay, this is a lot though this is. Dallas you know I get gladiators to an extent. Houston has been struggling, but then you have guys like Miami or Florida. London has dropped their roster. The spark have dropped their roster. There is. A lot of vacancies now that you're going to have to fill, this is where people are getting their theories. Then because you're absolutely right, the farm system is not as deep for overwatch contenders has taken a hit as far as like top talent goes right they all these dropped their contender teams last year. So right how many teams are really less standing at this point with an organization backing them I should add of the guys that you might think would be better to pick up. You know all these players dropping our are sticking with over overwatch. Some are like mccreavy has. Announced that he is staying with over watch US looking for team but guys like Gamsu. He's a said that he's going to go back to compete and legal legends. AKM has announced that he's looking for a Valentim uncool I believe also announced from the fuel. trill another fuel player that has announced he wants to move over to looking for for a roster. If feels like a fifty fifty split between those staying in those really liked departing the scene. You know quote unquote retiring overwatch on it. It really does feel like fifty fifty based on the players that we've kind of seen publicly so far
Coronavirus Covid-19 Impacting Soccer
"There's a lot of stuff that I wanted to get to I'm glad you're on the first one being the situation I guess with the Colorado rapids that seems to be what is most pressing right now they've had more matches postponed due I guess A. Term Run. Virus outbreak within the club would where do we stand right now with them with the status of this outbreak when they resume playing again where things at that club I mean they're in a bad spot. Just, an on all manner of fronts I mean. The the big one obviously is the the human angle to it I mean there's five players thirteen staff. It's just been a drip drip drip of positive cases and just you know periodically talking to people in Colorado. Well, we haven't had positive case in the last few days. We think we're we're past this and then they get another positive test, and so you're the latest impact all this I mean, there were four games postponed before to those have been rescheduled. But now last night at umbrellas that three more games. I think th through the twenty first of October. Have also been postponed, and so now there's a real question as to whether they're going to be able to get these games in and I mean there is kind of a precedent. For dealing with postponements and cancellations Back. When when nine eleven happened. You know the leagues still had I think two weeks to go in the regular season. and. They just basically called those games off and used points per game to decide. You know who who who got placed where in the standings and seating for the playoffs and It had an impact on the supporters shield too because in that year, any Miami and Chicago and the same number of points and Miami. Got It based on head to head whether that was the rule before they decided to cancel those games are not I who knows but there I mean there were still trophies at stake now, I'll grant you that the supporters she wasn't as big a deal back then as it is now but. I guess it's a long winded way of saying there is a precedent for this and so and just in talking to the League in the past twenty, four hours, they are prepared and Don garber on record saying we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA go points per game route if it comes to that. And so. I think what you've got is a real mess and then on top of all that you've got a couple positive cases in Minnesota. To staff positive cases in Columbus another positive player in Orlando And so these cases are starting, you know starting to to accumulate and so. You know I think it calls into question again, the wisdom of how much farther into the season do you go? And at what point? Does the League just kind of cut bait? I, mean now the League is saying. They can't envision any scenario where the the season doesn't get completed somehow some way in some form. but it's I mean, it's sobering to say the least I mean it's You. Know you're you're not only talking about people's health but professional athletes for whom health is just a huge huge. Aspect of their lives and. Able to get on the field. So it's. You know the League is continuing to push along, but it's it makes me kind of look at it like man is this is this really worth it? I don't know if it's if it's premature to suggest this but you know the bubble for the back tournament seemed to work. Is there any consideration being given to going back to that for postseason? I don't think so I think the bubble. Everyone remembers how well it works. There were no positive cases inside the bubble. Now, some positive cases were brought into the bubble and then. Obviously Dallas Nashville had to leave but I think. There's a human cost to that as well because guys are GonNa be away from their families. You know especially, at least for the teams that that make deep all the way to West. Cup final. But. From what I the Best I can tell is that that's not something that's being considered and not only that but the league is is standing holding fast to its December Twelve Cup final. So there's no there's no wiggle room in terms of pushing the the season back a week or two I mean obviously if you push. Push molest cut back a week you're getting awfully close to the Christmas holiday. Just, a difficult situation all around and but it does make you kind of question the wisdom about you know how how many more positive cases can can the league handle before they decide this isn't worth it.
NFL: Steelers-Titans won't be played in Week 4
"The NFL postponed the titans steelers game for this week several members of Tennessee's team tested positive for covert earlier this week. So the NFL initially planned to just push back Sunday's game between the two clubs to either Monday or Tuesday by the way both clubs at three and all right now. But then two more positive tests to the titans today brought the total to eleven including five players and that prompted the League call off the game and play. Later this season week seven looks like the best option 'cause the titans are scheduled for a by both the steelers and their appointed that week Baltimore buys the following week. So interesting stuff and it makes you kinda. Wonder if the NFL's doing the right
Everything We Know About ESIC
"The esoteric the E S I see they are correct me if I'm wrong new pretty much the governing body behind competitive integrity is that a fair way to for like ESL Dream Hack like a couple of event tvos the they for them. So. This is the group that took it upon themselves to investigate and do the background into most of the legwork when it comes to watching demos and things for this coaching bug that was discovered a couple of weeks ago a handful of weeks ago in counter strike. So to catch everyone up to speed first off what is the coaching bug great question. It is where a coach and counterstrike which so you have their five players. The coach to coach will be in the room as a spectator that can only spectate his team and their perspective. So he can't go flying around the map. He can't see through walls or anything like that. It is solely like if you were dead in counterstrike and you are cycling through your teammates right stuff like that. Well, there was a bug that wasn't all the time very occasional, but it's we've learned that it's been around since two thousand fifteen and it would occasionally allow the coach you would get stuck at a certain part of that. Could be anywhere on the map and he could see and rotate his camera from a bird's eye perspective. So it could be at a crucial point in mid say on any map, any given map it could have been at a chokepoint or near the other teams spawn, but it could give them enough information obviously on a pro level. Any information good information to then kind of say. Okay. This is what they're doing in these scenarios and everything there. So, this is recently been brought to light by two individuals Michael's Lewinsky and Steve Dude in Haufer. So European named for you who originally went through fifteen hundred demos. For those who don't know demos are. Obviously of games to find abusers of this coaching bug. So let's go over the facts I will go over their findings. And then we can give our opinions and how we I WANNA leave emotion out of it right now and opinion let's discuss facts than we can discuss opinions. Because this feels like it's been going on. All Year like this feels like it's been going on for months but the fact that this is really only been what three weeks months time pretty incredible woman coming up here. So it's pretty incredible on how fast things can turn around. From September fourth. Is when this all kind of I came to light. So let's go over. I guess some of the history to we still have some to get to the I bands like we said, August thirty first were dead Huntington and Zona teams were also they were given penalties disqualified some of the punishment. You know some were banned for a year time. Some were banned for a month time depending on you know it all came down to four, fit their major points and everything there and now this is where I was like, okay. How does this thing go and this is where e? E. SIC got involved and said. We will take the time. We will review as many demos as we can and look for where this goes and like I said, this is when they found out like. This goes back to twenty fifteen. So can in the initial findings that came out. On August thirty first. That we did not realize how far it went back. We didn't know this went back to two, thousand, fifteen we thought it was something that happened in one of the more recent updates and all of a sudden does bug became I should also say this guy only online to like I. Guess Maybe the Bug could occur on land even though it never did as far as I know. Wouldn't be able to happen on. That's what I'm saying because on land you I mean everyone it relatively quickly in the. Even though I guess in most lands, you probably don't even have coach just giving mostly ends are whatever will not dive down that rabbit hole. So all all that you take it from here new as far as breaking down what e sics findings and everything were. And we'll go from there. Yeah. So I mean obviously again that just came up with their findings recently kind of crazy him because of the amount of demos that they they had to go through are still having to go through. This is really like part one of two of the findings like there's to either part one of two or part one of three even this is going to have to be broken up. So so far they reviewed twenty, five, thousand Demos out of basically a hundred, thousand like ninety, nine, thousand, six, hundred, fifty. Out of those twenty, five, thousand Demos. We've seen it occur. Essentially, this bug has taken place in only point one percent of the total demos available, right? Like they're able to do these different algorithms and stuff that kind of scan through the demos and. Flag when this particular bug is taking place. So kind of keep that number in mind just I think it's an important number to note because there are a lot of bands that were handed down. That will get into this only happened in point one percent of the game. So it's not as widespread as I think both tim and I were thinking it would be a majority of the community I believe as well. Yeah. I think a lot of people thought I mean, how are we even talking about it last week we were joking about saying like Oh just wait till we get these findings and then see how much counterstrike is blown up and. Point zero point one percent of the demos. Show that the bug occurred and was used so very, very miniscule in the sense of what people are thinking going into it for sure a wasn't happening in every online match we know that and that's kind of important to note because we are talking about the integrity of the game you know. Ended the day you don't WanNa feel like the game you've been watching for. So long has been like BS, right? Like that's the last thing you WanNa feel as a fan as all the enjoyment you had over the last five years of watching any online event you sit there and think, okay cheated in every single game. Well, we know that that really wasn't the case in. So I gives me a little bit more mind I guess you could say least when it comes to. You might overall thoughts on this towards the end

Midnight Patriot, nation welcome to NFL. Mid Nitrates it is you boy spartan here with the the ever ever pot and flaming premix A good to have you as D to ultra. Sports nerds. In specifically football cards. On the end on the. Patriot staff. Phoenix tonight decided that we were actually GonNa do kind of a deep dive into what is pissing us off most about NFL and. Most pro sports in general to be quite honest. But we're GONNA focus on the NFL in this particular case because. Both Phoenix, myself have. A long history of both fandom and and. Playing Sports, we have a unique appreciation of what it takes. More it doesn't and how it is devolved into the into this shit show that it is. Just, we're just GONNA go from there. So Phoenix you had you had some thoughts that you wanted to start with go ahead. Well specifically. I I have a major gripe with the NFL in general. Being more politicized. And the. Let's End Racism. Okay, I get my left. Black lives matter. No sorry. They do and I agree with the message just not the manor which is being delivered. We've said that before on the organization go ahead. Exactly. All of a sudden you know we have a organization. That's Through much. Yup You can't do this. You know we have this. AFOREMENTIONED SCAMMED EMMA GOING ON. You can't do this. You can't do this. Well Yeah you can't. Okay. And then we have the social unrest of the nation being thrown into. A sporting. Venues. that. For All intents purposes let's call it. What is it's an escape. It allows us the viewer. Fan. That three four hours. Sunday evening Monday night whatever that. It gives us that escape from eager live love get up go to work and deal with people you come home you deal with cranky wife and kids don't listen dog that Shit's in your shoes. You've taken that away. And now have made it. Well we got to get on board with this. Well, we're relevant to. We're a large. Organization we goner? A multitude of platforms. That we have viewership. There any given? Day that we have competition So now we're going to. Paint messages in the end. We're going to have. Athletes will we're going to kneel to show solidarity. I got a huge problem with that and for our listeners I'm sure you have your own platforms as well. The American flag comes I stand for Gore country you back your country everything else second berry period. That's my thought on that. That's the way it is. Unfortunately when. The NFL NBA MLB hockey underwater basket weaving has become politicized in what we have to show solidarity with this. I have a question. Are you showing solidarity four? Message. Or are you As the NFL did let's put. The name of a known fell one on a helmet. Let's. Let's praise this guy because shot back when a an. Amplifier point in accused rapists. Is someone with a warning active warrants? For Rape Yes. So here in my eternal gripe with this, that will probably go down in flames just like the rest of them. Why are we? In fact. Standing behind. Someone. WHO BREAKS THE LAW? WHO does walk. Yes. They didn't listen. They got shot in the back whatever. House we say. Extenuating circumstances came to be that this ended up how that was. We have to stand behind this person as a form of. Instead of. Waiting, for all the facts that come out be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. And then move forward from there. Well. That's the real question. Isn't it is is you know? All we've seen is what has been allowed to be released. Okay I mean look I think in his thing I agree with everything you just said save one thing. Okay. I don't think demand deserve to be shot seven times point blank in the back now. Having said that. He has an active warrant for his arrest, what he should not have done to prevent that whole situation was to surrender. Get handcuffed and be taken into to engage whatever process there is. Okay, you don't fight cops in the street if you do. You mess with the bull, you get the horns. Okay. He's admitted he was armed. He's admitted he was going for a different arm- armament. Okay. And what do we expect the COPS to die? I don't think so you know I'm. In the eyes of them, that's probably what they're saying. Well. Preserved by life fuck yours. Well exactly. The COP Exactly and and my my attitude would be y is either one wrong as far as you know, one one has a duty to behave professionally the other has a duty to follow the law. Or face the consequences you know it would have saved him from getting shot in the back if he had stopped if he turned around if he'd Toronto. Surrendered Okay Understand that I understand the Warren has has since been vacated, but that's beside the point. When a COP's his I warrant for your arrest I mean you're supposed to do is say what am I being arrested for? Okay I'll go peacefully ears might whereas my lawyer yeah. Instead, of no fuck you fight you tooth and nail, and if get away up the war still there, but you don't have me. Right. Exactly. Exactly and you know I got I got I got a I. got a interject because you know. My personal opinion is if you probably agree Is this. Cancer of case. started. It may have it may have had other sources. Okay. But its primary. Protagonist, in growth factor was Colin. Kaepernick a few years ago and I don't say that in a flattering manner. Okay. I've said it before the my opinion that Colin Kaepernick is the biggest fraud on the planet as pertains to the NFL. At least Ryan leaves when he signed what Leash Langley, when he signed, he knew he was shit approved the wish she had any faded off politely into the sunset because he saw a gay. young just tell the story as I. Recall it and you you you feel free to chime in when you. When when you when you if I'm off base okay. A lot of people don't remember this but you and I as King's football and many things in life have a have a memory quite a bit longer than than your average goldfish. Okay? I remember watching the first incidents of Cabernet court on code kneeling and he wasn't fucking Neil. He had just had an argument with his with with the head coach and I don't think it was Kelly. It may have been horrible. But he had the yard, the head, the argument with Joe it was horrible wasn't horrible yet. So out of you probably saw the clip to you can't find it now because it's Youtube everywhere else. He had he had A. Verbal altercation with Harbhajan and I can only assume in what we were told. You know later was that harbaugh. told him. No you're not starting a colon Cabernet got very unprofessional and like the diva quarterback that he is. Turn Turnhill stomped over to the bench slammed his helmet down in plop disaster down on the bench now by sheer and toll coincidence. Anthem had just started. The anthem it just started when that HAP-. ACI. I know you remember this is I think you and I talked about this at the time that it happened because we were mocking him because when I weren't weren't quarterbacks when we played the game and we know what divas they are even princesses, they are this. If you remember and I know you do espn headlines a couple of days. Later words were that Colin Kaepernick was going to be fine. Substantially for multiple instances of unprofessional conduct conduct deleterious to the team. Leading up to the altercation with harbaugh that happened where he plops his ass on the bench you remember that ideas that. Dakhla and it was it was post practice I. Believe I want a That later that week that a reporter asked him. About the state of the fines and Based on his lip based on. Let's just call it what it was temper Tantrum. Okay. And that's when Cabernet sold all this bullshit about he was doing it in protest etcetera etcetera and he played the race card, which we all know the press eats up hook line and sinker and never ever questioned. Ever On. Me It came across and partner Jackie No, you're good. The the instance of which we are discussing out my first thought on that was yes it's a temper tantrum and I'm about to be busted for having a temper tantrum. So allow me to make up some juicy. To Garner more attention to the fact that. This is happening to be Gimme Gimme. GimMe and I lost my starting spot. Well, that's the that's the point I'm making. He played the race card to avoid fight. For on professional conduct and he was he was outright given a past. I don't think he ever actually even actually got find something that was overlooked too is that is that nick is not a person of color is really not us he is a multi-racial okay and part of that find that he was going to get for unprofessional conduct was calling somebody else on the field the N. Word back can't say here because quite frankly it's feds even and number two I don't WanNa get show you monetize but that said that was part of that that was part of the fine to be levied. The fine was vacated. Okay. Because he was successful, you successfully played the race card and got out. Okay and this whole shift started this snowball at that point. as we as we all know you know he was he was basically the the the face man for chip. Kelly's offense that you know while short term short term effective was absolutely not sustainable. Okay. We all know that. And you combine that with the fact that the guy had. Just over just under a shooting just over sixty percent for completion rate. Even in that offense at his best day, he was a mediocre quarterback surrounded by a bunch of very talented people. Okay. So now it has become the fact that you know this whole narrative has has escalated by people that that know nothing about the actual game because. Football is simple. It's not easy, but it's simple. Is. The ultimate meritocracy. Okay talent hard work equals success. Okay there's a lot of guys. We can probably point him out on the field you and I. There's a lot of guys that that. That just simply outworked their competition to get where they are I'll give you. I'll give you one prime example and right now they call him the goat Tom. De. Tom. Brady was drafted was I can remember he was drafted. He was I. Don't think he was Mr irrelevant. But he was real close. He was the very bottom. Yes. Six he was very close to the very end of end of the draft in and he is he outworked is is competition. Now granted drew bledsoe. If people can remember back set for was not a very good quarterback anyways. He was only borderline better than Ryan Leaf and he went down Tom Brady took over in the rest as they say district but. No? One ever questioned, Tom? Brady's work ethic in those dynasty years in in in New England. Okay. Because he outworked he, he worked his ass off. Yes he was talented. Yes. He's physically gifted but that plus hardwork dedication to his craft turned into in the in the the hardware for the hand so to speak. and. anyways back to my point about Cabernet. All, these people talking about how Catherine doesn't have a job because he's bad for business or half rights, they're only half rice. Now I posted this to the page I know you read you probably it is I. Think I read this week we went to this is from ESPN DOT COM itself. Okay. ESPN DOT. com. The actual date this was published as March twentieth two, thousand seventeen. By their staff writer Kevin Seaford. and. I am just going to read it. I'm. GonNa. I'M GONNA. Try to read the whole thing. I'm trying Doug only try to read the parts that are relevant. But those those listening. If you go to our face, a bitch facebook dot com slash midnight patriots. You'll be able to find this article and we shared it the title of it is calling Kabir Knicks based problem performance. Politics. Day It starts off real simple. So Don't over think why Colin Kaepernick is still a free age simply put years have passed since he was ineffective quarterback he's twenty nine years old has succeeded in an unsustainable scheme as part of a well populated group of former starters who also remain available at as this week began now getting that was march twenty, twenty, seventeen. So they were in free agents. Okay. Let's. Let's move on here. It's blamed Colin Kaepernick's unemployment on his protest is to misread the way NFL teams make personnel decisions. that. I don't think there's any more true statement on Earth. Do you I? MEAN THAT'S Yeah. So it goes on protests where does say at any type of business that if you have lackluster performance, did you are guaranteed two hundred million dollar job? Number One and two I was GONNA say there have been divas troublemakers in the NFL before? Okay and Kim's and? Lewis Terrell on. You know. List goes on and on. And let's not forget the NFL is the lead cut an outright banned ray rice running back from the Ravens for domestic violence. Okay. Before he was convicted. Suspended A. Peterson for disciplining his child. Yeah for banking hit saw. Yeah. Okay for spanking his own child. Okay. So now they put criminals names on their helmet. so by but I digress I digress let's get back to the article. Just to just to go just to go. Teams are swayed I by players potential or lack thereof to help them win protest or not kapernick would be under contract. Now, if he had demonstrable if he had played demonstrably better in recent years. Let's look closer at where capper nick is as a quarterback and why that has left him sitting in a group that also includes fellow free agents, Jay Cutler Josh mccown Ryan Fitzpatrick and Robert Griffin the third. Again keep in mind. This is from shelvin teachings of this is three years ago. Okay. But. It goes on to some of the reason I liked this 'cause this is based on facts not just you know a bunch of race baiting bullshit. Kapernick grid NFL success came as part of the San Francisco Forty niners read Options Skiing Twenty, twelve to twenty four. In those three years, he rushed for Fifteen, hundred, seventy, eight yards which okay. I will give credit that impressive gudgeon impressive number. For. More than any other quarterback with the exception of Rush Russell Wilson Cam Newton so let's just call it what it is. He was third rushing quarterback against. It breath. Okay. I will not fall the net. His. Success. He threw more than twice as many touchdown passes interceptions helped him compile eighth best time quarterback rating in the NFL seventy point to over that period. But even then capper nick was one of the lease most. Least Accurate quarterbacks is sixty point one completion percentage ranked twenty third in the NFL and has percentage of off target throws judged on video by espn stats and information ranked eighteen. So. Based on just the stats alone he was a middle of the pack quarterback middle of the pack. Does that mean that he's better than half the other guys absolutely does that mean that that you know the drama he brings? Outweighs his skills is still setting the money in the monetary investment probably. Okay I agree or disagree just on that statement there. I would agree that yeah, he's a middle of the road quarterback. He had some skill. At. That position. That offense. You're right. Would it work somewhere else probably not but that's Changing teams, you learned their offensive scheme you learn what they do best blend yourself into that and you become part of the team not a one man show. that. I, mean you'd have to agree that most had coaches that have half a brain would go sixty, four, sixty point one completion percentage. even if you're even if you're going to do A. A bootleg offense even if you're going to do a boot offense. Play I can. Still going to have to be better than sixty point one. Periods I mean just entered discussion. Quarter, you're talking college level quarterback. Even if you're on a naked, do either one side, you're still depending on receivers tied ends backs to be open at some point that you can actually say, Hey, he's opened easel bewitched of the two weevils need a cheese her who exactly exactly union able to identify and hit those targets or at least give your guys in a position to succeed you know. I'd like to. Bring to Light I. Not Very long after capital started his quest masqueraded by some of justice whatever you WANNA call it only because he got in my mind and correct me if I'm wrong, he got busted out period. That's just the way it is you through Tantrum he got his ass busted will now I gotta cover with this to cover that with this, and then all of a sudden we have one big lie that snowball into the entire solstice thing that's going on currently. You're. Going to look they had to go. He ended up in Washington. In front of US rest. Explaining his side of everything that goes on great. Denver Broncos of whom I am a fan. I it. Does not get into that because. Pirate about that right. That's ultimate digression. Go ahead, John. elway. It had in fact offer Catholic before your contract. said. Hey. COMPLA-. Can come down because it wasn't enough money. Wait a minute. Let's look at your stats a sixty sixty point something or other completion percentage. Yes. You had fifteen hundred yards rushing, which as we've discussed is pretty phenomenal quarterback save. Russell. Cam. Newton. Maybe rg three hundred healthy. That's stretching it buttle throw it in there. Anyway. I. Really. Wanted to see if capital could be plugged into that offense and sell. Well, that's the that's the real trick. Isn't it? I mean? End and let's be clear. He turned it down because the salary was too low, not the money. Or maybe remember correctly, he turned it down because John elway wanted to load the one at the loaded up with incentives and say, okay, you exceed this mark you get ex you this you get what we go to the playoffs and when you get Z. Experience Cetera so wasn't of excellent. Yeah. But exactly to perform at your very best as cut your in the NFL, they don't take ship nothing while the that's when the NFL stands for not for lofts. That and let's be honest. It was not only. Did he had he had to meet performance criteria he had to me behavior criteria, EXAC? elway and the broncos weren't going to stand for this s J. W. S. J. W. Crap. That he's pulling. So let's go back to the article real quick. It'll it'll. It'll really start driving the point home. Okay. So I believe he started kneeling rating was two fifteen. So. Article Goes On. The issues that we were just talking about the increasing. Or decreasing completion percentage decreasing accuracy except sets. Those issues intensified in Twenty fifteen and twenty sixteen amid forty nine ers. Coaching turmoil in talent drain since the start of the twenty fifth season Kapernick ranks get this. Last in the NFL thirty five all five passers in off target percentage is off target twenty, two point six percent of the time which when she is the least accurate quarterback in the. League. As of the twenty. Fifteen. It goes on. Is Complete. Complete is completion percentage ranks number thirty, two at fifty, nine point one. He was still one of the NFL's most productive Shink quarterbacks, ranking number four total yardage over all those years but it didn't mitigate his passing deterioration and this is in my mind. This is the absolute most important line in the yard or ear and an adult. There is no more important attribute for quarterback accuracy especially for a free agent who is shopping himself teams with various schemes. In, the long term a quarterbacks running ability is considered a complimentary skill and one that is story. Fade with age or because of injuries, scrambling ability and arms drank are secondary to whether you can hit the target. That analysis backed up by numbers essentially wreck stay shit out of this current narrative will Cohen Governor never draw. Back. Dinners. Any beds no sorry. Have a fucking job because he sucks. Sex At what he does also, there's a theory going around the going around that it was right about twenty, nine, hundred he met his I don't know if she's still has girlfriend whatever evidently these ideas about radical justice one I'd ever definitely his girlfriend is, is some sort of radical s j w as well, and he was too stupid to either a lever to the side or be not listen door and just agree to disagree on stuff but then again. Go ahead exactly what it is. Power Pussy with exactly exactly and you quite frankly I can't fault them for that because you know that's ninety percent of marriages happen. We'll just we'll just leave at this point. Is that right there? That's You were saying regarding his ability to suck. But it started then I mean he the guy the guy got lazy. He got loud. Through the race card to cover his shit then he couldn't back up his mouth with performance. You know do you your ears? Rocco's fat okay. Let's talk about just a second. Let's talk about Shannon Sharpe just for ten seconds or for a few seconds. Okay. Shannon Sharpe. Is An arrogant prick agree or disagree now When I hang on, hang on that said. Shannon Sharpe liked to run his mouth about a lot of stuff at a lot of different times also true. Yes. Yes. Shannon Sharpe never failed toback his mouth up with his physical actions on field. Also. True. Unless I'm Clinton mistake, it have you seen the. I know he's A. He's a beast. His and by that, I, mean his physique and his skill level we're just unprecedented but you know I do I think running your mouth there's unprofessional Mind that you buy then back it up on the field nut so much. I mean. Go ahead. If I if I remember correctly now, remember this because there is significant events happened in my life sixteen nineteen. broncos are in the midst of the run to Super Bowl thirty two. Tonight game. In Kansas City in Kansas. City. I can remember. Watching a few days later because of recovering from surgery on. Shannon. Sharpe was literally being drug halfway across the field for most of the game by his helmet because he was talking some serious Shit Oh. Yeah. I. Remember Correctly Dr Thomas. If. If I get an incorrect Thomas Yeah. So. So pissed off the guy, he knocking, Kane insane composure in his professionalism in the game. You got what? I think. Say He lit it up. He was like Yeah. That's ten to twelve for. The Gargantuan One, twenty, one, twenty, six, and what two touchdowns. Yeah he was a month. So. All of a sudden sanders our. Love the Guy I've actually met him. Helvin individual. Love Tall. But he can copious amounts of Shit Oh. Yeah. Oh yeah that that man can back his mouth up. Oh Yeah. We have an and. He. End Let's let's break that down from an NFL perspective. So I'm a personnel manager. Okay and I have Shannon Sharpe as a free agent. His name comes across the wire I go holy Fuck Ball sharps available, and I already know that a he's allowed mouth be he likes to talk shit and sees extremely opinionated man but D-. The Guy Backs should have on the field I picked up the phone. I pick up the phone and say Hello Mr Shannon. Trump's lawyer her agent. This is me at the I would like to pay your your plant, a lot of money obscene amount of money to come help us when football game sets. Ended up with the. Exactly for whatever he was with the Ravens what three years. Say but he wanted them for four super bowl with their to. The argument that Colin Kaepernick doesn't have a job because Hashtag grace is complete an utter bullshit. Bullshit and the the fact that Roger Goodell has bought into this Shit Hook Line and sinker is even worse. Okay. You would think that that to be the commissioner of of a National League or National Professional Sports League that race in what eight to ten billion dollars. A year in gross revenue. You have. You'd have to have an IQ above your shoe size. Goodell even that these people that that they're they're professing to support. Social Justice. Wise. He realized that the vast majority of them do not watch the Games couldn't tell you five players in the league and doesn't even know couldn't name five teams lot I mean. She probably I mean. Look at some of the fan base. Did Not tell you the difference three, four, three defense. Yeah don't try to get him to describe the Tampa to. Exactly or various offensive formation. You're the simultaneous simultaneous possession roll which you and I can quote by heart understand completely. Exactly. Our guys we've got another segment coming up right after this brief break. Stay tuned. Midnight Patriot nations spartan with a shameless plug for our new gear shop shop. Dot. MIDNIGHT PATRIOTS DOT COM. T shirts, hats, hoodies, mugs, phone cases, and just about everything else in between we got you covered whether you're looking to embrace your insomnia, show your patriotism or make a liberals headaches blowed. Really, Shop Dot Midnight Patriots, Dot Com, and now back to the show. You know that's that said. I made a prediction in in midnight moment the last night moment and I want to run around wanted to run that by. Not. Only understand that the business portion of the of the game, but also the game itself. So this is going to the business portion now. One. Of the things that you and I both know is that owners very rarely. SAY WHAT THEY THINK Or say or reveal their plans in advance. Okay. I've noticed that the owners have remained. Suspiciously quiet. About the social justice campaign that's currently going on I do disagree with that. I mean like I said, I think Jerry Jones is really the only one that's actually made any sort of statement and it wasn't a very long. I ever Jones ever quiet. What that's that's my point. And say instead of instead of. Me thinks he protests too much. Me think she says nothing for more sinister Okay so I wanted to run this by this is my theory. Okay. Now we've confirmed the the the Monday night compal atrocity from last night. US. Or Susani from two nights ago that. We've confirmed that the viewership was down approximately twenty nine percent. Across the board in that double header. So if we take the two games Monday and the overall ratings of of being down for Sunday you're talking an average of of a twenty percent downer. It's one fifth of the audience of the television audience told the NFL the PISS off. Okay. Considering the the significant financial investment ESPN has for for the right. To. Monday night football. Let's just let's just call that loss unsustainable. Okay. So I am going to ask you to engage your owner brain for just a minute. Okay. So We're GONNA fast forward to the week after the Super Bowl's okay where things are notably notably quite Rosalie quiet. The coaching carousel began and things like that since. Day. Except that, there's going to be a rumor. Going to be a rumor. That the NFL that the owners are considering locking out the players because they want to renegotiate the contracts. And this will come as a surprise to dumb asses in the AT ESPN released. They're going to feign surprise. Okay. And we're going to start hearing things like while the coaches are not gonNa make anymore are putting hiring decisions are the owners are going to. Put a hiring decisions on pause for just We're going to review a few things and Blah Blah Blah. While then we're going to get to Russia's started free agency. And we'RE GONNA. Find out and it's probably going to be one of the one of the What's The guy's name? Remember his name. One of the reporters Schefter Adam schefter because he always breaks up he's. Probably. GonNa be schefter becomes. We have confirmed reports, the owners who are going to lock out the players affected nine am tomorrow or whatever. Okay. Now what's going to end up happening is this. The overall I would say, the overall revenue is going to decline somewhere in the area of twenty percent across the before the Lee across the. Across the season. Okay. Now again does just a prediction it might be higher. I hope it's higher until they stop dish this personally but. This is what's going to happen. You're going to get a massive ratings ratings cut. Even in the Super Bowl. Which means revenue is going to be down roughly thirty percents. Okay. What they're gonNA say is this is an unprecedented drop in revenue and the the losses are unsustainable. They're going to have to renegotiate the contracts. The players are GONNA have to take less money and this time the the ownership is going to be able to show concrete. The because of the drop in television revenue in Jersey sales and everything else. That they're going to have to renegotiate the contract. They're going to vote on removing Goodell as the commission. You're actually they're gonNA, they're gonNA end up forcing him out but the way it's GonNa play out this players are to get locked out. There's going to be a review of the deal of the of the current Labor Labor Agreement. The new agreement is GONNA. Have a significantly lower. Revenue Pool total that that the players are going to get. And they're going to have conduct they're going to have enhanced conduct policy which include the jewel stand for the national anthem. You will not hiding locker room for it. And you're going to we're going to not endorse anyone as far as any sort of political failure, your ideology on the field, and if you do not only will your contract be terminated but you'll be you'll be on the breadline by your suspended for a year. Now maybe the suspended for year won't come to pass but. Engage your own our brain for just a second and then look at the strike years that came up and you tell me how how how. Or how far I'll fight on that. Will. Allow me to. Dive into this plan I mean. Here we go. I am an owner of a NFL team. Meaning I have had to. Put Out. Let's use an arbitrary figure five hundred million dollars cash right upfront. Chooses five hundred. Half a billion. Cool. I'm. Glad. Yeah. Five hundred million dollars up front in order to gain my team have somewhere to play. The voted on passed and approved by the NFL. As either an expansion team whatever then. To, Cherry pick the other teams around here so I can build my team. In hopes that a I get a return on investment. That said if I'm going to dump five, hundred, million dollars out. A team equipment place play contracts that are stretched for X. number of years. This mice guaranteed this much at a signing bonus this much. Not. including the money paid to the team from the NFL for reaching a wildcard round, a divisional round championship round, and ultimately the Super Bowl. There are incentives paid to the teams by the NFL for attaining postseason plum. Yeah So that said with everything that goes on here. Currently we're martyring. Convicted felons we are. Using the NFL. As a soapbox. As an owner. would. Say? Okay. I can understand. The Point I understand where you're coming from I understand yes. Shit doesn't like this doesn't need to happen. It does there's nothing I can physically do about it personally except point out to you that you're not them. You are a multimillionaire more working your way to that point because of your talent, your skill and your ability play the game price. You as a athlete. well-fed well trained. Best shape, your ever loving life you have a house bigger than anything you've ever grew up in, you've got cars for days all these other things but. You need to remember that you are entertainer You're not a politician. So, that said. When to go into your point? After the Super Bowl. Until they actually have one right. That two weeks later, when everything's died down in the in the winter sprayed is over and losers or duck griping and the coaches players have made their way to their respective all. Wherever. That may be they're probably their private castles. Yes don't don't live in a castle guarded by you know dogs bigger than. Most people's. Cars. Were we will probably see as you said. Well you know revenue was down. Because of viewership is down across the board anywhere between currently twenty twenty, two percent to encroaching upon thirty percent. For Games you know TV, rights merchandise sales are going to be down. People are actively boycotting across those media and they're actually making their voice known by not watching. All of a sudden if we were to take thirty two current teams. And we look at. All the owners in this how much money they have? Now if we were to take thirty percent of total investment apart. As a conglomerate figure. We're talking a loss of probably and I would strong. Guess. Somewhere in the neighborhood of anywhere between two and two point, five, billion dollars while even go you want all you can go one better I think since the economy has basically picked up I mean you gotta remember the day to ten billion was during the Obama Konami which was one of the worst economies history. Okay. So that said you gotta figure that now it's probably going to be between ten and twelve. So if you have a twenty percent revenue law, if you have a almost thirty percent, you're talking about three billion dollars. That's a three billion dollar loss. So even if even if you spread that across thirty two teams, you're talking about what? Three hundred, million dollar loss per franchised. and. So and a lot of the smaller market. Good. So again, as an owner with Joan, arbitrary figure of five, hundred, million dollars starting I just lost seventy five percent of your or yeah of my revenue that I put into have an NFL team. Well, exactly. Well Number One and number two what anybody thinks that now? Okay. We all understand the cats at the revenue sharing For Those of us that are initiated, understand understand the the the reason for revenue. Okay. That's that's a given. Okay. Even still a thirty percent cut to that revenue devastates small-market teams devastate. Okay that's. Cleveland Cleveland Cambe that's Detroit. Well, I think Detroit is a bit bigger, but I catch meaning. into. Jacksonville. Flow? Buffalo Alright. That unders. Anyway. They're too big but no I hear you here's here's here's the thing the smaller market teams are going to move may if this continues maybe on the verge of bankruptcy and and if you really don't think that the NFL owners will lock out the players to avoid that. I just think everybody's so naive that they shouldn't even be a football fan you can. Football I in my opinion, these played the players and Adele are cutting the owners throats and I don't think the owners appreciate it number one and number two I. Think the owners are more in touch with their demographic their fan base style people want to believe i. don't say that they like their fan base because obviously as the executive class billionaires general ended the tend to hate working people or at least have a disdain for them. Okay. But the point being is that it's unsustainable model for them to go forward to continue this crap. Of K, it's it's absolutely ludicrous. So I think about beat that horse to death did you have anything to add on just on that? Final thought regarding that as an owner is a businessman I yeah exactly. Exactly. His businesses to? Yes he owns the team but as a business owner, you're always looking to. CRUISER BOTTLE BLONDE Increase but also you know they've got, they've got a commitment. You know what I mean I mean the bottom line is there are associated with raising revenue to pay Patrick mahomes half a billion dollars over the next. Seven years. Of. The point the point is this is that there are costs associated developing that revenue and win the players behavior or when when the when the the players union in the League encourages behavior that is deleterious to to that mission. Then what are the owners supposed to do? Gordon exactly. They locked the doors take resigning before we open this and then players you're GONNA WE'RE GONNA have to do a big restructure here. Sorry. You know this is this is not you? Not You know you're not this side of the world you guys are on the upper echelon. Of money you have succeeded in. On yourself up by your bootstrap for lack of terminology, you have made it playing a game that you love passion for three enforce your point duty not only are they a privileged class? Okay. Let I verified this I verify this last night. I made a statement that that. The NFL, the people on the NFL minimum as in rookies that that you know what we're undrafted free agents, right that are somehow made the squad, which is more powerful MAZAFA. A No experience. Rookie. Signed as a free agent this year in the League makes a minimum of six hundred, thousand dollars. Six hundred, ten, thousand dollars I then went to the Department of Labor's website guess what the average household income for Americans is as twenty twenty. Sixty, one, thousand, three, hundred. Yes. They working person would take ten eleven years to make. They're making six months show and this is not this is not an insult. I'm only going to use the label for for effect. Hacks in the NFL make ten times. The average working family does and they dare fucking lecture us about what our values should be faulk them. Big F what. Exactly. With a with capitalize all letters with with several exclamation points at the end. So that said I. Underlined and and I tell us is never. That's that said, I I wanNA give credit where it's due also understand that you know. What did I just go off on the NFL to you know to to to the end up with surprise we'll tell you why because You know even in the worst of situations, even even in the darkest night, there are rays of sunshine out gather are rays of light and I want to heap praise on two particular players, and these are the only two players. That I'm aware of have done this if any of you out there. Needed to midnight Patriot nation are aware of more please let us know. So we can give them their just desserts in their props. I want to give particular a credit to a hundred in the way of of the of the Pittsburgh steelers. Mr Villanueva is a former army ranger That said he made a big splash stirred shit storm by doing the right thing. I'm not going to get into the to the criminal that that the that the steelers. We're trying to honor Norma GonNa try to justify it didn't happen there but. Mr Vienna wave. Did something very classy He caped over the criminals name and he chose to honor sergeant first class all when cash. Now I believe I'm saying that correctly cut me some slack by brute if I if I. A brutalized his name that is not the intention. To say how I believe it's spelled. But sergeant first, class all, when. Cash. who was killed in Afghanistan? And I I, WANNA. I WANNA take. Not because of their wallet or their house or their cars. But they chose stand for the national anthem. As. SOMEONE WHO Leaves in their country. I know we said we beat the source of, but I wanNA bring up another topic to. Weird Midnight Patriots all of us. May disagree with with what someone says, but we would fight to our desk to protect their their right to say those words. That being said I think one of the other things that the public is piss pot tired of is the privileged wealthy assholes. Being able to have different sets of rules at their workplace than we do. In the Corporate World in William and most smaller companies you do not have. You do not have freedom of speech. Okay. You will be shown the door if you bring up politics religion, etc etc. Okay. With social justice causes or otherwise. They can show you the door. Okay and I don't think I don't think it's Ok these. Use Their their platform on the field or in any way while a uniform to promote their agenda. Okay. Now, I think you and I would agree with this if the NFL Players Association wants to get together and host either a live event or televised event. when they are not playing and they're out of uniform. And they want to tackle these issues donate money to causes give away money whatever I think that would be a perfectly acceptable display. That's fine. Okay. But I think the reason they don't is they know that the cause is a loser. Okay. They're not willing to risk their own money you know to they're not willing to put their money with their mouths are in order to have their protests but but you know somehow everybody else should just shut up and and honor was they're trying to do and I think that that is excellent. You know policy at its finest end. America's PISS POT tired of turning channel I. think that's a big factor as well. As your thoughts unfortunately mean here to. Drive your point. I could see. Getting together having one big party fundraiser l. have running toe board. Hey, you know we're raising all this money great or even several. Yeah Go. But the reason but the reason they're doing it on television is because they can reach a mass audience all at once. But. They haven't had. They had the NFL network. If. The shows a winner, they could sell it to their to their allies in the media. WHO's to say ESPN would cover it. You know for God's sake ESPN has the SP one of the worst ward Joe's ever. Okay and if they want to go up to that into a social justice show fine. Go right ahead or create when like it again. Fine. Or if you know even Amazon or Netflix wants to pick up something about you know the S J W 'cause in the NFL an interview players follow players around their charitable work while they advance these causes grace go ahead I mean I think what they'll find his a there's no interest in be nobody cares they approach it that way that we far less backlash in their their incomes would be far safer than if they continue down this path. the ratings would actually come back to a more normal. "Siri's like this. Then there's Paul, saying he doesn't believe LeBron is a top five player. That's a fascinating one. I know a lot of people whose opinions I value. Who say they think LeBron is the greatest player of all time. I'm not one of them. But there are people whose opinion matters to me who will tell you that. Here's what I would say. In basketball we put together these Mount Rushmore, Sze. Here's the way I put my Mount Rushmore together to me. Three of the spots are easy. Michael Jordan to me is the greatest player that ever lived. He's on Mount Rushmore. Well, Russell is the greatest winner. Whoever lived he's on Mount Rushmore. Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the most accomplished player who ever lived. He's on the basketball Mount Rushmore for me, those three guys have to be on there. There was no there was no legitimate Basketball Mount Rushmore. In my opinion that doesn't have those three faces on it. The question, then becomes about who's fourth. And there are a lot of players that I think you could. You could argue for and defend and LeBron James is one of them. If you put LeBron James in that fourth spot, I would 100% I wouldn't necessarily agree, but I wouldn't fight you. If you put Magic Johnson in that spot, I wouldn't fight you. If you put Wilt Chamberlain in that spot, I wouldn't fight you. If you put Oscar Robertson in that spot, I wouldn't fight you. It might end there, Kobe. You could put Kobe in that spot. I wouldn't fight you. Tim Duncan. We're getting in a little bit. That list is getting a little too long. I guess what I'm saying is I could see putting LeBron is high as fourth. And I could see putting LeBron as low as seventh or eighth. These things are just opinions. Just it's just a question of who you like better. Hey, well, Chamberlain has his own record book. The numbers on Wilt Chamberlain are so ridiculous as to be incomparable to anybody else. I averaged 50 points in a season. So it's impossible to compare that to anybody else. I can't sit here and tell you you're an idiot. If you think he's a better player than LeBron James. In my opinion, I put LeBron ahead of him. What we did this Mount Rushmore on Mike and Mike. Years ago, I put Oscar there because I wanted to respect The past. But if you want to put magic there, I'm good with it. You want to put Wilt there? I'm good with it. You want to put LeBron there? I'm good with it. So when everyone went crazy that, Paul Pierce said, How can you say LeBron is not a top five player? I don't think it's that crazy. It's an opinion. When you consider the history the two of them have. I'm not surprised that it's his opinion. You could stream our time. The new series on ESPN plus getting all access look at Oklahoma State football as they reopen campus deal with covert 19 testing and an investigation of head coach Mike Gundy Stream new episodes every Thursday only on ESPN. "I love jailer parts. You're raising. Them was a party together every weekend right now. We don't face. We've spoken a long time. But look there. Was He's he? He is going to protect his own interests in this, and so we have that you mentioned the trevor. Rees thing he's in the middle of a custody battle which is rather messy, and so he is making decision. To be the son, and so I did see I. I must tell you. That is not a funny story, but after that news came out seeing some of the memes. Of Carmelo anthony getting the news was. Absolutely hysterical. MEMES! I think it's the first reply if you click on the world story. I'll look it up right now. Somebody somebody replied Carmelo Anthony Finding out that he's not going to be playing. Carmelo's going maybe have a little bigger role assuming he goes oh yeah. I see one from that the Stephen Burner Account. They walk out of the room, all stoats. So anyways, we had those two guys as you mentioned. There is going to be news this morning. right after we record this, so we won't get to speak on this about guys that are available. Teams are going to be able to sign. Or resign guys that they had when the season abruptly ended. We know joking Noah is going to be resigned with the Los Angeles Clippers. We know Anthony. tolliver is scheduled to resign with the Memphis Grizzlies. Those guys were both ten day. Guys that were kind of. In the mix when the season got cancelled, other ones Trey Burke Isaiah Thomas Derrick. Walton Junior Devan, coon pursell Allan Crab Tomorrow Crawford Gerald Green CJ miles. Mont Shumpert JR Smith Corey Brewer. It was reported yesterday that he's going to latch on with the. Sacramento kings and then we've had some news this morning. Shamas reported that demarcus cousins had gained interest from some teams, but is not going to play this season or in the playoffs. And then you've got a few other guys Marcus Leave Kid, play the Kentucky. He's out there We kind of covered this last week as possibilities, a lot of the. Film Up, guys right somebody that you could bring off the bench. You could see a playoff game like when Gerald Green would come in and hit three threes in four minutes or same thing goes with Isaiah Thomas Jamal. Crawford, a lot of those kind of Cicek. Bring them off the bench, and maybe they could swing a playoff game i. mean you never know but do any of those? Interest you. Any of those names. I mean for the back end of my roster. Sherwin on I. mean you mentioned Noah go into the clippers? He's exactly the type of guy that you want to give an opportunity to with the energy to. He plays with on the court if he has to come in for like a game or two games or some zoo bots. Were to get hurt. He's somebody that you would. The playoff experience that he has with the leadership that he brings the. You're seeking out here. especially the big man position you want reliable anchor down there and at guard. You Know I. Mean you mentioned guys like Crawford and Thomas I'm not so sure. Those guys are at a level right now. to perform. Playoff basketball stage, which is unfortunate to say I. Mean Crawford. Points last year, but he also shot in thirty percents Thomas. He got a bit better, but it's still nowhere close to the guy he he was when we last saw him as a star in Boston, which is really unfortunate it's really unfortunate to see those fun and exciting players declined the way they have, but. For the NBA I do wonder if maybe they'll turn to some of the younger guys whether it's. You mentioned trey. Burke or somebody like Tyler Johnson at the guard spot, or whether they're gonNA look at some guys, perhaps in the G. League Cameron Payne over his last stint with the Texas legends performed quite well. I mean campaign stunk in the NBA looks like a total bust, but he still young. Just twenty five years old. Maybe he's a team that somebody looks at the G. League production. It's like okay. He's ready to come in and play. You know fifteen minutes. If you need to I, wonder what logic teams are going to take care with those guys that are available if they go to young route, or if the end up going with some of the. The older guys who might be our past their prime but ultimately like there's really not a lot out there. That's appealing That's why for the most part these are substitute players, whether it's substitute players with somebody who gets hurt or diagnosed corona virus, or whether it's somebody who is a liberal substitution game like like the tenth or eleventh I in your rotation. And I hadn't heard cameras pains name in a long time. That's a memphis kid and the crazy thing is he? you know in a in a basketball city? You hear about these kids when they're twelve years old like you know who the best players in in the city are I had not heard his name until his senior year of high school like he was a real late bloomer, and then obviously went to Murray got drafted very high great kid. As! I still root for him, but I didn't even know what he was doing now. Honestly, I didn't know his for the Texas. Legends are four. That's worth. He played only fifteen games with bullet shells average twenty twenty three points shot thirty percent from three average eight assists only three turnovers. Look, it's the G. League yeah. Let's not overreact to the numbers yet, but. Like. Like the little time that have really investigated Julie guys from talking to people you know around the league who do pro personnel scouting cameron pains is the only name that's come up from multiple people. Saying Hey. Hey, look, hey, look at what pains done in the last ten interesting right? Interesting that like. There's certain. I liked campaign drafts I thought he'd be a good player, and he has not become a good player I was wrong about him in the draft. However, there's still a chance for him to be equality role player the still at Opportunity Twenty. Five and maybe team gives him that chance now after he's you know really taken some hits early in his career. So you know I look forward to seeing what route teams take in which teams take specific routes with older guys versus younger guys. Yeah, and with all those guys like especially the veteran ones that we mentioned Jamal Crawford Jr Smith Isaiah, Thomas Gerald Green, like any of those guys latching on at the end of A. A roster, but then showing up in the middle of a playoff game, and like I, said, hitting three threes and four minutes and flipping a game like that wouldn't surprise us at all like those. That's what those guys do, and so why not right I mean? If you've got a roster spot open? Those are guys that I do think clearly a lot of them have a playoff games under their belt, and you're not asking for much, but they are heated up quick, and maybe in the moments where you're going to struggle to get some offense, because your best players are are taking a break, and you just don't WanNa. Blow your lead, or you don't want to get too far behind. They come in they heat up for a couple of minutes. And then you know you're not counting on them to play big minutes for you, but you never know they can't flip games like the.

If I said Zion, in transition, who would you compare his talents to would you mention Ben Simmons, ESPN dot com? Does Blake Griffin's? Playmaking. I've never heard those words put together before cribs playmaking, but okay. His motor and his rebounding, Charles Barkley and his post game his post up game for Zion Williamson, according to ESPN dot com. Julius randle. All right. I don't know if I would put Ben Simmons in transition and Julius Randle post game. But maybe there's room for improvement. There is what they're saying, Charles Barkley's motor. All right. Blake Griffin's playmaking, I'm still not sure what to make of that. And dream on green, you can be Draymond green type of player where Draymond does whatever you need him to do. I just think design does some things a whole lot better than dream on. Does you know, he's far more explosive open court jumping, rebounding dunking Draymond is a very bright player. And I'm not sure if he's a good shooter, not feels like that's night in night out. But those are just some of the cops here's another one for you. Highest drafted player all time with a name starting with z either first or last name. Yes. Paulie journal cell. Gal skips. That's a good call. Because I heard you just said, Z Z big z. Yeah. And he was top ten pick maybe ten eleven was he okay? Anybody else? Z. Yes. Seton? Zo more. Oh, nope. I'm not going to give. I'm not going to give that one. I am not going to give that one to you. Oh, what about our buddy in Portland? Zach randolph. Zach Randolph was was he first round pick. Yeah. But actually Zach Collins might be even higher sat. College went ten. Well. Zach LeVine thirteenth. Zach Randolph nineteenth Scottie, zipping. No za bonus are Vitas sub bonus Abon. Drewn is. As to as twentieth. The highest drafted player Zeller's is a Zeller Cody Tyler Skippy. No, no Tang. That's zeller. I thought he had it do. They do. They have a labrador. They have a dog called old Zeller. Don't they have adult called, old echo? Your old Zeller. Zumo bady nineteen sixty two. Now you picker third third overall pick Zumo Beatty. And that was ABA. I'm guessing with Zillow Beatty Beatty welcomed the prog program already in progress as you can see and the draft coming up tonight, pelicans had the first and fourth pick overall the David Ortiz shooting. Apparently he wasn't the target according to the prosecutors. They talked to the shooter and the guy who hired the hitman. How do you mistake? David Ortiz, for anybody else in the Dominican Republic, where he is the most popular person in the DR and size wise. I don't know if you walk in and go, you're going to go into a bar, and you're going to see a guy, and he's built like this, and then you see big Papi because who else is built, like big Papi. And you're walking into a bar and you're gonna shoot. Somebody. Apparently, that's what happened. At least. That's what they're having us believe that big Papi was not the intended shooter. I guess he's he's still in hospital in Boston. I believe, and so the, the shooter said or they guy who hired the hitman said they weren't trying to shoot David Ortiz..

"So you're ninety percent of who you are before ninety percent of Kevin Durant is better that all, but two or three players in the league hundred percent. Kevin Durant the best player in the league, by the way, have you noticed since anti Davis was traded the Lakers. How many guys been mentioned as a top five player in the league? Oh, lakers. Got. Two top five players. They got this two top players in the league. And I mean a lot of guys now being characterized as top players like seven or eight guys being called top players that didn't work, mathematically. You can't have eight guys at the top five players. Only the Lakers got top players in the league. I don't think LeBron an Anthony Davis are. Setting side injury for the moment, it would go something like this, Kevin Durant. Coli Leonard LeBron James. Steph curry Jaanus onto Toco James harden. Anthony davis. Any day has been to, to playoffs. One of those trips he was swept in the first round anti Davis has had some time to do James harden has done in Houston, or God forbid with Steph curry is done, and Golden State three titles two regular season. MVP's. Put them respect on a history puts them respect on reality Lakers got two great players probably to the top seven before we put him in the top five. Let's see Anthony Davis, do some things. Eight guys in the top five. And if you are the Knicks you signed Kevin Durant. I don't care about his achilles. You get done you get it done. Now Melvin Seattle. What's up Melvin? You're on the Stephen Smith show with king Oba will carry here we go again. Look, everybody already knows that LeBron James AD. They can win a championship with me at the point guard. They'll just common sense. You pan Anthony Davis who will talk about a top five player his league of companion with LeBron James arguably the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball, and also he's not happy right now. Braun is not happened. He's not satisfied. So we would expect him to come out with the chip on this show, the next you and it would be scary. I mean you have LeBron James and Anthony Davis. And you put it just a few pieces around them. And the west is wide open. I mean you get a couple of role players in. Hey, those guys could lead you find out the raptors re-sign Colli. That's a good bet. Right. If I was a fan base upset right now our team. Like Denver Nuggets like where we I mean, they had a number two seed in the west. The warriors are coming down a little bit. They're going to get older Jamal. Oh, get better Yokich. You'll get better. They may be able to make a move in the off season to help supporting whereas our, our odds in the top say the same thing, I said, when we showed you the list of odds, there are not as many people who live in Denver, who want to place a bet and therefore. Vegas or you can bet it in. Good. Odds on the nuggets remember about odds for teams to win about the line of game. When they're predicted when they say, oh, the line of the game like last night was warriors at two that's not saying they think the warriors are gonna win by two that saying that's the line of where they can get the money to come in and away. I think they're they're defenses is key. I think one of the best defensive teams in the NHL if not the best defensive team in the NHL when Craig grew he came in. He demanded that you've become a good defensive team have always been a team could score. They're trying to figure out what to do come through the neutral zone. There's nothing you can do coming through the neutral zone. It's like they got six players. I during this game. I used to I count one two three four five players because Saint Louis looked like they had six players had a man on the puck. And it seemed like they always had a man open by far the best team in in this game by far the best team in this game. If you're give me a sentence or two in Dallas. I know how much you loved him. "And so for a former NFL player to launch a political startup. He needs people around him to get to that place. And so I'm an adviser to that company. I helped Walt flesh out the entire idea I helped build out the product I introduce them to the developer that build the product. I helped him put together his investment deck. I went to investor meetings. This is all after he had been earning us an income then tire time. So I think the single biggest source of disruption is genuine commitment to the players and the people that we decided to work with. That's an awesome answer. But it's also really shitty that the other agencies are that bad. Right. But again, I don't believe I don't blame the agencies because the way I've had some of my clients. Treat us makes me understand. Why the agency's treat the players? It's it's a it's a usual disrespect that caused that underlying culture those had to come first though. Right. What's that one of those things had to happen? I they'd probably have. I mean, it's it's it's an unfortunate culture that exists within the ecosystem. And for us. We've experienced the downside and rather than a motion Lee get connected to that negatively, and deciding that that's how it is. And buck those guys we just look at them as individual instances if there's five players disrespecting or sports have either fired us or have not been great to work with there's twenty others that have been great. And I like to look at the positive and the majority. Thank you got it. Would you come in on what you talking about the the political startup? Yeah. And how. I was processing was is really common now to see this trend of people who have a following starting businesses that you wouldn't expect them to be in. What kind of trends, do you see coming in that area over the next couple of years? We were talking about was it ice cube ice cube three. Yeah. So there's all kinds of people you wouldn't expect to be entrepreneurs starting new trends. I'm just curious. Honestly, I think it's going to be it's going to be less and less surprising. I think I think at least within the world of athletics. There's so much overlap in sports and entrepreneurship in terms of the mindset, and what it takes the work ethic the the competition level like there's just so it's such a natural aspect. And so I think the biggest reason why a lot of these football players in particular unexpected entrepreneur so to speak is because our society is put a helmet on them, both physically and metaphorically and really through fantasy football and our fandom almost look at football players as. Almost like. Checker pieces or chess pieces, right? And so they don't we haven't taken the time to get to know, these athletes, these athletes haven't had people around them to enable them, but it's getting better. And there's there's great ex-. You know, Kobe Bryant's amazing investor. He's a great example forever. Young basketball player LeBron the same way. And so you know, there's a commercial out right now with two NFL players from the Tennessee titans. They own a cupcake shop. So which is awesome. So I just think it's a matter of time. I think these athletes are getting smarter there surround themselves with better people. And honestly, I think the trend is just can be. We're all going to be less surprised when an athlete launches a political startup. It opens up a cupcake shop, and do you think that is because they have the following because they have the funding that is they have the fame. Walter was not the most famous football player. The two guys out. Tennessee are not the most famous football players part of it is the funding, right? As long as they didn't blow their money, while playing football, they have some capital to enable a business endeavor. So that's definitely a big part of it. And then I also think it's just the networking capabilities. I won't say it's the fame, but the notoriety of being a football player can get you into a room..
