Thanks for tell us a little bit about today's guest Beth Shirley best surely is the key breaks loose it's one of the reasons why if you're struggling I guarantee nitric oxide is distributed so that's why we want to talk about so this is one of the re boot McKee in which is a nitrite base loss inch so I I've been working in the nitric oxide space now for for about nine years just dive into all this technical stuff and we will we will explain this in ways that people can understand I promise we won't just totally levels on our lime journey path you need to get your nitric oxide in order whether it's being uncoupled whether should not being produced need to figure that out with your health breaks from Lima Ninja Radio Mackay it was so great to meet you in person pilot at Bob's conference and famous molecule but it's in the nutrition world where we live it's a little bit weird people tend to focus on other things how did you get interested in is to commission impairment to rectal dysfunction it's connected with everything and where did you discover it in be h four and how that affects the nitric oxide synthase enzyme and also the alternative pathway that some people we're not know about that's basically dietary or can be supplemented and how that helps regulate this whole system but before we and remember always have a plan b all right here is our interview with nitric oxide expert Beth Shirley connecting it with just about everything that goes wrong in our body from hormone imbalance to cardiovascular disease link there it walks you through the nine steps in the three phases that you will go through in recovering from lime so you won't be surprised two thousand and ten I was working with Nathan Bryan while we developed the neal forty laughing sure so I've been open to supporting the physiology for the last twenty two years as opposed to listener and that will go a long way to setting the stage where you can then recover speaking of that if you're interested in graphic represent the plans and the data you enter will not be lost as we roll out new features best of all it's free just head on over the line manager radio DOT COM slash tracker league out here while you how did you get interested in nitric oxide because it's kind of funny I mean it's been it's it's the non medication pharmacists never ending source of people that didn't want to go down that path presentation of our lime journey we've got it on our website it's free just go to lyman integrated dot com click on the button and you'll see download how adverse reactions because the body is trying its best to to function into key found and your back as pharmacists that's not what pharmacology that's not what modern medicine is all about a certified clinical nutritionist by trade. I was a pharmacist for twenty years and you go into pharmacy thinking you're going to be helping people and oxide will nitric oxide affects virtually every single physiological function in and back in Alex you would have talked about quote unquote conspiracy theories I I think that I haven't come all the way over to thinking it's a full blown conspiracy but it sure looks like one which the powers that be actually don't want us to be healthy don't want us to be able to think clearly giving them be healthy but I just noticed people kept coming back and they were sicker and sicker and on more drugs and we're drugs so in nineteen ninety seven out and how how come they don't see it the way you just described it then you've got a foot in both worlds which is really unusual the healthy so there's reasons why this inflammation goes crazy and we've got to address those reasons instead of just the processes from where I sit that such an obvious idea right and at same time it's it's it's very very who giving anti this and anti because whenever you stop processes in the body you're you're wanting to have oh isn't that the truth now there are lots of people I'm I'm agnostic then I'm open to that but I'm that is for sure that's for sure so then so people it's fun you tell the story about people keeping coming back to you getting their prescriptions I mean what were you doing in the morality show my goodness this is important the time well compounding pharmacists and Oh to if you didn't want to get on drugs or if you wanted to get off the drugs so I also rich I've seen just a lot of changes those are those who'd be horrible horrible trucks because I started learning to be a certified clinical nutritionist and got my certification in nineteen ninety seven and became the pharmacists to go very very similar story he was out in San Francisco and at that point legally they needed front men and women for the acupuncture so they needed should I do right so he was doing this for several months and this woman kept coming back I think she had some sort of inner ear problem and finally all I can say is is is money so if you think would go yes and if you support the antibiotics therapy with nitrate supplementation you will people coming back so we can make money if you want to cure her you need to do this treatment and that blue Dr Nature says mom but it was it in with the advent of the the presence in changing how people connect with their spirit my my teacher's name was Dr Hagi contentious Dr Nature said isn't there something else we can do this woman so she doesn't have to keep coming back and the right exactly those drugs don't care no they don't they don't and uh-huh busy on the counter since nineteen seventy five you know I've it it didn't start off this way the pathway one of the pathways that makes nitric oxide that it actually opens up like the blood brain barrier and it opens up the tight junctions in there be the permeability and helps restore the function of it and that's I think one of nitric oxides involved with everything and doctors to see the patient so the the patient would come in they see the doctor he'd ask a few questions and he'd run to the back room and ask the master acupuncturists what actually decrease the leaky gut you will decrease Zahn you learn the including so you can actually protect the tight junctions a that a lot of the thinking on nitric oxide and essentially nitrates are it part of the and I agree a hundred percent and I play when I attend a conference I play a game I call it nitric oxide Bingo and whatever that person we'll come up that show the relationship between the topics nitric oxide is got its finger in every function in the body and if refilled and not getting better and something tugging on your heart until the spirit saying there's gotta be a better way one of my acupuncture teachers told and how voices and we're we're all medications were were not thinking clearly editor at best state they help and do little harm but at worst they're they're they're just people yeah yeah and in the intestinal track by giving a nitrate supplementation with those antibiotics it's interesting to me folks if antibiotics work for you great if they stopped working for you stop taking them and try something else I don't have a point to prove yeah I really think it's that simple that pernicious well it's money and before with antibiotic therapy a there's a huge increase in leaky gut talking about I just Google on my phone or my computer nitric oxide and whatever they're talking about and inevitably twenty papers due to not be depressed it's involved with our ability to sleep properly it's involved with with resolving inflammation since being used then you start to get the idea okay this is why it has so much importance and you you mentioned earlier because the line world and people will stay there flag on each side of it and again on agnostic my mind is whatever I'm a clinician whatever word and if you're levels aren't appropriate so they can be too high and too low there's a sweet spot for sure and the sweet spot is going to change depending on whether you're actively buddy infection or not though if it's not in the sweet spot then you're gonna be in trouble in many ways and it's not simply a matter of attract punctures his eyes lit up and said Oh you want to cure her I thought I thought in this clinic what we're doing is trying to keep you're doing work with Dr Brian about the nitrite and nitrate you explain to folks but there's this whole separate pathway that really isn't thereby accident it's not something that's kind of in the background that we're taking advantage of it's really of not being able to perform sexually or or high blood pressure like you said it's in so it's involved with our ability to form memories it's involved with our ability signed and he got really curious about acupuncture that because he started seeing totally different results they weren't palliative right and I think that's that's what you're getting at the center of eating healthy so if we eat healthy we really give this nitrate nitrite nitric oxide pathway and well yes Kinda yes no because it does have some direct effects but primarily if you think of it more as a signal than as a subset tomake nitric oxide however this top way is affected by a myriad of factors it functions around fifteen percent there's another pathway the nitrate tonight try to an oak halfway that is supported through eating nitrate rich that Geez material needs and you talk about supplementing it too and that really can accelerate this path one is age by the time we're forty this NAS enzyme works around fifty percent of the time we're sixty it's involved with killing off viruses just like you said just goes on and on and on because it's a signaling molecule right right you know that's the about the little harm yeah well some of them have a little harm I do have patients on some summits but way of bringing it back to life because so many people's diets do the do the opposite so tell us a little bit about this pathway and whites circulate around twenty five percent get concentrated in the salivary glands we've got some good anaerobic bacteria in enthused enzyme pathway and this uses are turning to feed into this knauss enzyme systems the production of nitric oxide so let's let's pause there for a second because what you said is so in the acid environment of the stomach some of it is reduced further to nitric oxide the nitrate is also absorbed and heads towards tissues and we've got nitrate reduc taste is to reduce it further to nitric oxide any good clinician shouldn't of standing on your head waving chicken feathers works then stamina hidden with chicken feathers I agree but we're out where we accordionist city will actually change the nature of some of our enzyme to become nitrite Reduc tasters to increase grips over tongue that will reduce that nitrate and nitrite the nitrite goes to their stomachs very very important and so basic that it's it's easy to just skip over the what correct me if I'm wrong here but what what exactly that is 'cause usually nitric oxide we think of it as being formed by enzymes in the body there's certain enzymes in the body that will make nitric oxide in specific tissues war under specific conditions because even being hype poxy important well there's two main pathways on making nitric oxide and one is through the not the network oxide it goes along say pick up oxygen they carried to the cells they let go of the oxygen pick up carbon dioxide and then go back to the longs and and switch things up all the time so there's a state of the red blood cell that's naturally high pox but there's a tissue state we don't want that hypotheses you said is so when when a tissue becomes hot pox IQ or even kind of in the normal function of of the blood gas exchange right so red blood cells if you're not getting enough oxygen in your brain you're going to pass out if you don't have enough oxygen in your muscles are gonna be really sore so forth and so on and with all the other and start all over again so high politics simply means there's no oxygen or less oxygen available so this is happening within a red blood cell but there we go to down this pathway but it's it's it's so tough Aruba's stories bench four nitrate supplementation and this we absorbed the nitrates organs as well so high poxy as dangerous condition for tissue to be in because it means the cells are going to start dying so that it's Rachel you need oh so it's a surpassing dilate right to die later and it's doing that when in fact there's a regulatory function that you talked about that it helps improve the signal so this hot environment is is a dangerous condition and so- enzyme shift in response to this and the signaling anti anti because whenever you stop profits in the body your point the house mock you'll this nitric oxide gets produced more which essentially one of its major functions is to tell the blood vessels to expand and to bring in more blood which means bringing more oxygen his whole signaling functioning and to release oxygen red blood cell cannot even release the immune system goes away and they need immune system loves nitric oxide as a way to begin to get and can you talk a little bit about how that works and then how the nitrate supplementation promotes those functions. I wish however this a lot of times this gets turned on and the body has a hard time they will decrease the Ph increase the acidity of the tissue which will increase the the oxygen release and signals that but can you off the top of your head and it's not no it's not fair explain that a bit how the nitric oxide does that this little Geek question that I have for Beth because she's so knowledgeable will increase carbon dioxide will increase articles come from just an overactive won't increase the the production of Ano- through these reduc tastes enzymes video and I'll ass which is analysts three the induce people and I'll out is what the it's crazy so I know so it's one thing was familiar with is that Carbon Dioxide Kinda guides uh lime disease as down regulating the immune system I don't think we can and we usually talk about the innate immune system and the the turning it off and this is where all the oxidative stress said all these three to down regulate cadre within bacteria and viruses but also to create some oxidants to help kill them I uses to make the nitric oxide to clean up that to fundraise it's it's amazing it's all cross talk all the way this all works is so incredible and can you natural killer cells and things like that I'm sorry the Adaptive Immune System Boy I'm my head spinning but nitric oxides at bald with the macrophages is and and in killing things early on and it continued killing we kinda forget the innate immune system because we're so excited about you know all the address what nitric oxide is doing with the immune system because that's I think one of the things that gets dysregulates we talk about make increasing the superoxide peroxy nitrile had causing massive amounts of damage right time so then circulation or like the circulation in the brain you won't have enough nitric oxide to do all these other functions like the increasing that Mike was when there's too much of it that's when your joints swell up like crazy that's when you've got this migratory try pain you can have concussion likes I think you've mentioned before that nitric can help regulate this function how does that work nitrate and I try well actually help down regulate the einars so there's less oxygen running rampant this actually down regulate the neuronal loss the end up the`real KNAUSS US is septic shock right so somebody gets an infection of some sort and then the body says well we've got we've got to stop the infection and then the the NFL s Inter Koksijde Sensiti sends on have three main there are three main analyst air but when you're I nas your induced nitric oxide juror immune system nitric oxide is being over expressed edges and itchy and GM's and all the adaptive immunity we forget that in the background all the time is immune system selecting nation he's nitrates nitrites will down regulate the I nostri the over activated I not not not flament so studies have shown it takes three to four hundred milligrams of nitrate too there's neuronal and I'll ass which is analyst one there's induced civil anna laughs which is analyst to and then there's end kind of nitric oxide inflammation and signaling there it is so so critically important now you talk directive response to it that just just spirals out of control so this this whole idea of regulating the amount of inflammation so it's just the over active I know so that's so important and I you know we're we're talking about pathways turn just what the body needs to clean up the bacteria the virus the fungus of stress would be the I nas is activated and it's standard amount of nitrate in the product to effect changes what else do you have in there we have a little bit of just goes goes absolutely crazy and that's when somebody dies of the flu that's that's what's killing them it's not the virus that's taken over by that point it's the bodies over you affectively decreased blood pressure or increased exercise endurance and we have almost five hundred milligrams and and liver damage organ damage with with it with lime disease the classic example of the runaway. I know that's when it gets away from us that's when we start having damaged and thence and smaller and quote unquote smaller that's probably something that's also having with people with heart damage work for decreasing cardiovascular disease and increasing longevity is through the nitrate concentration of these yet to one that gets becomes a runaway train a downward cycle reinforcing cycle that gets too hot and these are all reactive oxygen species or reactive nitrogen species and in it and that's been shown to decrease cardiovascular disease so we've got a symptoms your your brain swelling when you have swelling inflammation pain heat in an area and a body that's that's one of the major things yes what superoxide superoxide increases the oxidative stress and all of these will increase oxidative stress inflammation damage to tissue to make these physiological changes the the the way the Mediterranean Diet and the Dash Diet League life professional and we have a product called Berkeley I professional and support and this is a nitrate based and the nitric oxide will actually complex superoxide to make peroxy nitrite about supplements can we talk about the company that you're consulting for sure on the executive director of the Scientific Advisory Board for Berkeley a plane means is the North End Zayn instead of producing nitric oxide it produces superoxide medical ball amendment which supports the formation of for through the MTA H F r died the Dash Diet actually has a thousand milligrams of nitrate her day means you already defectively nitric oxide deficient so by adding adding increase nitric oxide to this equation what's going on there and it was initially it's initially triggered to help killin infection but as Beth the same when it but see when when the nitric oxide complexes with the superoxide can make roxy nitrate effectively takes emphasis I haven't bothered to look through the papers but I'm sure it's the same dysfunction it's ended theologist function of the lymph so you get lip stagnation so you get swelling or four deficiency is the main clause of Nas Copley and whatnot and blocking an artery going somewhere that can be an endothelial dysfunction you can have a similar type blocking your lymph and you'd get swelling but you'd also get downright you are actually going to be Gaba Djing these free radicals and cleaning up some of this oxidative struck and protecting your in nitric oxide is the molecule that allows the flute for receptor to happen worth through there so it's this endothelial dysfunction about to talk about is a big deal and that's when we also get to this these alternate back up makes it a little bit sweeter for you Gordon is out there and get the oxygen back going again and things flowing and it's so very very important and that opens things up again it gets the blood flowing again and crates little gets the acidity brings to the Ph and so it's you get you could get the dysfunction in any of those organs so some of the lymph stagnation that we're seeing no doubt I mean I don't have halfway that she's talking about that so exciting is when you're providing nitrate and nitrite to these areas and because there's else but nitric oxide is really a whole nother signaling system that were just beginning to rapper system but endo just meets inside so anytime there's a vessel there's an endothelium so the lymph has an endothelium right your kidneys have end at the Olympics from the endocrine system hormones but nitric oxide in it's got a couple of cousins in there to some other gaseous signaling molecule handsome nitrates in this this product which is equal to a five ounces of Spinach or seven beats the brain needs oxygen and I know when when you're chronically ill you can't think well you know we talked about not being able to heal without sleep but without flow right without blood flow with we can't he'll either rainfall is such a massive problem into lime world it that and sleep this regulation or probably the two main you gotTa have Michael Circulation in the brain to be able to think you've got to have oxygen delivery you gotTa Have Glucose delivery it goes awry we think of signaling mostly from the the nervous system we think of signaling the nitric oxide out of circulation so it can't do all of these other processes that it needs to do in our body and so this us and I know that they're quite a few practitioners who listen to this if they're interested more with the Berkeley up for the the immune system can't respond the little immune cells cannot swim through your limp as efficiently when it's blocked off you think you have a block you know ninety percent I have an account and we sell to practitioners however there commune system because a lot of your immune response begins in the lymph there the lymph the lymphatic immune cells that migrate back and four up theory him as in-depth helium dysfunction is is how cardiovascular disease start to give out endothelial is obviously with the cardiovascular ace supplement it will make every single thing you are taking work better because without circulation and Microsoft might even be able to get away with lower doses because circulation is working in taking it where it needs to go insulin brain glucose into the cell without adequate nitric oxide you can't bring the glucose into the cell the brain needs post the E. R. K. E. L. E. Y. Life Professional Dot Com and there you can apply on so we can go deeper into this we really we just touched on the NAS uncoupling and kind of the whole oxidative stress that gets breath you're causing damage there to the thank you so much for your time again and will definitely have you back on symptoms that I hear over and over and over again well the sleep is regulation I just rest studied the other die showing how it sex and the test strips that are also detest nitric oxide levels with a saliva test how can they who should they get hold of that blood flow and there's hypocrisy or there's acidic environment there the nitric oxide will get I'm sorry the nitrate will get converted into nitrate and Zayn inspect together I know nitrate and is a big part of doing that and we've covered enough today to fill it nine surround and that's why I want to have this conversation with you Beth today and you've been very generous and sharing your time and knowledge with all of them I was so excited when you said that you and healthy micro circulation you won't get what you're taking deliver to where it needs to go out and there's a lot of practitioners out there we just need to get this in their hands to get it out to everybody 'cause I consider this a each other at the absorption right and the carrying away if debris so when your body is trying to heal it's gonna be making a lot of debris that needs to be carried away and if you're not carrying away the debris they say because it's not what you're what we talked about is not available direct to consumer has to go through a practitioner but like I said we have quite a few practitioners waiting to be installed we'll continue to until the weekend so next week we should have big pump news stay tuned that's going to be the most it's not that far from Halloween which means Thanksgiving which means Christmas which means the New Year the years over twenty twenty have you gotten connector to nitric oxide also so it plays a part in every single physiological function thing done we haven't oh my God speaking of not getting things done the well it's only been a couple of days since we last updated you and nothing has changed so everybody's Cup to the brim with information to WanNa go I don't WanNa go too much deeper than we have now I hope you're is a shortlist of what Ninjas cannot do it just struck me when you were talking about that we think of Mike micro circulation at the delivery and right but there's also in there so there's GonNa be some people interested in carrying this product how can they do that could've Berkeley like professional dot com in Berkeley oxygen without adequate nitric oxide so it stuck within the within the hemoglobin mclovin there's nothing to report we'll be back actually the pump came in the mail the new pump we ordered it from Lowe's online and dropped it off so it's sitting on the kitchen table exciting part of the podcast unless you give us some feedback since for gas yes anything really can stop talking a setup went went occurs in how that system can go awry and it's important to this whole conversation about how to put those and tone specific treatment options are not intended to address any listeners particular medical situation as always contact your physician before considering any new treatment range you don't even have shirts and we we need them we had a few for awhile anyway don't get me started on that there's so much to do and just the panic you all winter coming back on thanks for having me and I'll be glad come back on and that's dive a little bit deeper into this uh-huh hit the subscribe button so you won't miss an episode if you really like what we're doing leave us a review on your podcast up it helps us reach more people like you and last as you longtime the lime Ninjas no this podcast would not be complete unless we left you with the Lime Ninja fact of the day the following long into radios purely public broadcast and is not in we were finally interviewing a nitric oxide expert. Health & Fitness Fact Of The Day: Body Weight Fluctuations - 20 Minute Fitness Episode #123
"Every body and welcome to another episode off Twenty Minute Fitness today with tackling that frustration that plays on everyone's mind from time and time again body weight fluctuations. Why is the way on the scales going up? Even though I feel like I'm doing what I can to lose body fat and working out a meeting well when calorie deficit surely the scale should be reduced in the morning. Butts new is seems to be higher on changing every day. What is going on? We'll hopefully AH absurd. Shed some light on this for you. Firstly thank you to us once a shape shape building a three D. bodies cutting scales really comprehensive fitness tracker more for more information on it checkout shape scales Cobb. It is pretty cool. Did also don't forget. We are on Amazon Echo. You can literally say Alexa. Play Health and fitness tax today by twenty minute fitness to listen to all of our shores episodes so there are a number of reasons why our weight fluctuates from day to day. And I'm going to trying line quickly rattle off some of these reasons. So even if you're in a row curry deficit for the day as I said you may wake up in the scale shows a heavy away in the day before and this to be for a number of reasons it could be because you over those in a large meal just before going to bed and some foods take longer to digest and others carbohydrates are generally the quickest kissed digesting micro macro nutrient and the more process the call so white bread for example is very processed. The foster is to die. Jest if if you're reaching carbs with high levels daughtry fiber on the other hand digesting this my take relatively a longer period of time so if you had a lot of process carbs the evening before aw than you wake up and still heavy away despite being a calorie deficit because the food completely digested yet. There's this reason was scales. Maybe unkind to in the morning running and falling on from this for every gram of carbohydrate. You can shoe. Your body retains about three grams of water in order to store the fuel source. So if you're eating a heavily early Cobb dense meal the night before. Then you're going to be storing more water seal have more walked away when you're yourself in the morning and many refined carbohydrate foods are also so high in sodium and high salt foods can cause water retention again. The extra water adds up two pounds on the scales. We've already seen that just by the differences in Memorial Day today because of water retention from sodium levels and how process the the COB is whatever the amount of food is. You're eating these can all affect your weight when you go on the scales so already we can see you know a lot of fluctuations gonNA happen because no one really sticks consistently as in the same thing same quantities every day as you're being very precise about tall weighing everything out so what we suggest weighing yourself same time of day. The should be consistent consistent at everyday so say seven thirty. AM and every day. You want to do this before you go to the bathroom. As this is another thing that causes weight fluctuations when we go to the bathroom we're losing using various amounts of fluids and we have different bowel movements as well. So that's different weight. Thing Street from the body there as well and other cores of a fluctuation there's also the level of exercise. You did the previous day when you're exercising. You're expending energy by burning calories and this can result in some weight loss and obviously exercising. 'cause you sweat unlu's Wat- wait. There's experts estimate that the average person loses around twenty five to forty five ounces of fluid per hour during exercise and that's especially especially during intense cardiovascular activity so again another reason that you're wait could be fluctuating if you've done a lot of intense activity one day but not so much the next stay then you you should expect to have obviously before. I say you should be replenishing this staying hydrated but we don't always manage this. You may be dehydrated from the day before and obviously you. You might have expanded more calories from the day before then you have the next day and remember in the long term muscle is more dense than fast. So if you start to do a workout. Do some resistance resistance training. You're eating regulating muscle mass. Even if your body fat is decreasing your weight may stay the same or increase added muscle mass putting on remembers. Well Wolves weight is not actually related to body. Fat Water has no calories. I'm talking about fresh water. And not the flame wars. You'll buy from supermarket for example. Oh and so the daily fluctuations from would wait a not a true representation of your body fat decreasing or increasing. I'd recommend to sort of try and minimize minimize all the variables and make sure that we most accurate representations Bodyweight is to whale south at the same time of day everyday for a week and then taken average of that week's weight and then the following week to exactly the same and if you want to lose lose weight than your average should be down of the week and more than likely that will be due to loss body fat rather than all the other fluctuations we've mentioned to do with the amount you've eaten bowel movements waterway Salton take causing water retention etc.. So try this and let us know how you get on our hope that S. clarified. Why sometimes the scale can scare us from day to day if we feel it in everything right but hopefully shed some light on this so let me give you enjoyed and we'll catch you really soon?

bunch of other random questions like how you should pack for kito when you are camping 'em yeah it's a it's action packed one so if you're interested in how to keep your blood sugar low while being on owner the jaguars sponsor perfect kito perfect kito is all about making akita genyk diet healthy accessible but you're renting oliver online geyser articles are enjoying perfect exceptions key you don't or any other kito friendly products everything you need to make it work for you that particular dot com i know what you're thinking hey aren't you the founder of makita yep that's right and all my insanely high standards have been put in the making each and every product my background is a functional medicine clinician helps me crap the cleanest healthiest possible products the best information but it gives you insight head on over the particular dot com to learn anything you need to know about the kito genyk diet and if you've never tried any price before you'll see the user go kito podcast between percent off your first order that means that it's gonna the show all right man bigger here we are we are viki tells you ready for another round of questions this wouldn't be a random ones but mostly centered around blood sugar as i've been wearing like he's like because monitor again a result of that summer products in exercise so let's get into it in the first question we have is from crystal joko la and the question is if you went tent camping what would you packing eat for three free days which kito bias i thought that will not be that simple process obviously nothing packets a packet macadamia nuts and be jerky and i know i've ever gone to kevin before yeah and i'm really great inch flat where were you figure f m i would probably do a lot of every time i've gone camping it's been a lot of activity where i've been more focused on not trying to eat when i'm doing it so i would probably bring exciting his key tones and just kinda extend and the fast a little bit maybe sometimes it's your powder but then yeah kito bars you know you're gonna have access and intent camp situation only don't want her to nights at a time when i brawley little still means if you're gonna do that i would bring cooler with me nags whenever like a normal eat so don't be restricted but yes neck you'd have a food so yeah maybe some coconut chips maybe some macadamia nuts beef jerky kito bars nags simple stuff that's the beauty of tito's that you don't have to be eating every two hours so you know just bring yourself some meat have some big meals and then some kito barges snacks in between you should go for i would on sadness fear of what foods fishery infor gave me a big game the game that again spry little bit here non lines where we are right all right here we go so next question we have is from not a stall in its duty artificial official sweeteners imperfect kito products caused insulin spikes well they answered that would be no because we don't use artificial sweeteners 'em in any of our products steadier in monk fruit or to normal things on plants if you like we how the hashes through over and over and over again but their normal things that grow monk fruit is the fruit of the plant much like mint and then we process down in used those things that they are not artificial guy so spike insulin now yes or no no do they know they're not so this is another thing where people think that they could be harmful or they healthier they're not there has been no deleterious effect to to be shown i mean we've tested every single reposted if they lose their not an answer to that is no so we do rigorous testing all by products from what we've seen in reply strike bug because it's sort of an important point for us when we talked already so absolutely not in all research shit so shows that it matic's have a favorable benefit to expose exposing nice closing disposal of lucas an potentially positive person the gut health so that's yeah natural sweeteners yeah i think the only thing they consider is like compared to a product that's gonna be containing like whole sugar it's actually contain a significant amount of that are products containing a significant amount of these sweeteners that were using its ingredient lists yeah so also yes w among treat her like two hundred times three times sweeter than sugar sony's extra way way way less is well like a tiny tiny amount i think like and of average serving for instance like flavored empty tee off my dad's fifty milligrams like a like a one tiny pinch of step yeah no not enough to cause any incident response nope all right so that actually kind of leads into the next question which is good and it's from z k k twelve which is i know stevie on monk fruit are supposed to affect blood sugar but do they cause inflammation nope sort of sort of another follow up yeah yeah just like i said that they don't have any marketed things where it says you know these things are patrick swayze either by she shouldn't benefit to gut health and you're micro bio is of all potentially positive effects in blood sugar so absolutely i mean i consume a lot of this stuff and i have extremely low level the information i know the people you the same thing i have no concern there's no reason why there would ever be mechanism that i would assume that it would leak information seattle said absolutely not yet been official yeah and i think the i would go with beneficial sean that too because you're not spiking insulin and you're not developing any sort of insulin resistance you're probably gonna be combating inflammation anyway so i think it's actually gonna have a more positive effect on inflammation went up pretty straightforward all right carl corvette or kobe corvette about eighty eight any snacks brands besides you're delicious kito bars that you've tested and don't spike blood glucose the not many unfortunately which is why were doing the price were doing and i mean i mean like we didn't like these questions to to darren horner anything like that it just you know we found some grouping of stop this fires is up in this will be one chat about that there are few in this space i tested a lot of stuff i've been using and continue to monitor for going on and off in the middle of last year an yeah unfortunately just very very very few products that actually see the thing you were like they ashley tests bars so no kito bars no bars in general that i've tested and tested every single one run on 'em so primal kitchen bar bulletproof bar just had one in today buff they did a new kito bar a time where there were some other ones she did the dang bar you every single one of these spikes my logic now i wanna put this other this is an equals one of my experiments i know what i react to things for me specifically everything the bar now is absolute trash the reason why is because people generally is fibers really cheap in easy the whole thing together are extremely expensive to make because their ingredients were so expensive so we had to basically develop a new type of fiber the doesn't speak your blood sugar the whole depar together with high fat content usually bars like rx bar lara bar at cetera have dates and things like that that are how natural binding to there's a sticky 'cause there's nothing carbohydrates in it very very bad for someone who wants to kito obviously and i just don't think that something like that he should be snacking on me that's like a bunch of guys don't believe that to be a wise decision so yeah i mean the thing is that it's hard to make it took eighteen months way to create a basically an entirely new ingredients fiber to make sure are inspired like we go so other companies do the same thing with other products i don't think go through the same rigor of trying to find any new ingredients working on ton of products having funny that do this so more brands and i don't mean the throw him under the bus or anything i think that a lot of these brands that they're they're great people they intend like you know great things but there's no testing their product or less he doesn't work for me personally believe that is they you know kito friendly quote unquote brand but full of corn fiber soluble emailing tiger written this 'em jack's me up really really bad all the shockers europe products were chocolate destroy me and just make me feel really off all enough told us they were season excitable corn fibers in the diocese so 'em so no bars no chocolate but i found it in like a hundred percent which a lot of people don't like and i think that in less you wanna get like a really really good honored percent bart and that's gonna cost you know twelve dollars and i haven't found alternative they're working on chocolate and we have some approved apple shout about that next question a new week of he's actually are the one cookie that i've tested that is great so no effect on my blood sugar i just do a little heavy and they respond to all the sugar alcohol through me so after usually wander sell like i don't get my got likes that there's a template grams of earth paul a new with a cookie brennan i've tested is doesn't speak my blood sugar so i mean cookies besides new new we probably only only things like and thinking obviously gumy's people know my reaction that's how much i absolutely despise smart sweets and i hope the day crumble of the company 'em and so were working on as walking into that again but yeah i mean they they advertise is you know one two three grams of sugar and wrote literally broke my glucose meter when i was wearing it a quote of course and other ones we've we've tried all gonna say what about something that's not sweet though so if they're looking for some snacks that are you know any beef jerky is not something like that i mean beef jerky that is out there right now is tito carney and that's obviously good but because they don't they probably beef jerky and we toyed around with especially laundry but it's just not sort of the the front of are you left is people use beef sugar and beef jerky to make it hold water content and so when you process be jerky with sugar the water content and then you news because we dry meat and you go from say like five ounces to two ounces that yield is really really important to sell the product and so if you're using high quality meat the grass send me an you want fattier cuts anes and you want to have no sugar in it you're gonna go from the five ounce it's like point five ounces neil and so basically companies used sugar as a way to retain moisture content so it it looks like it's more packaging nick and say like this is three on the beef jerky unless charge this much so that's like a trick in the jerky industry and meat industry that sugar is used as a way to keep moisture fridays like mouth feel reasons as well chewing on ultra dry meat is just not that great that's why i don't really like built song actually the the the vinegar taste he's the the really dry day says it's not my i'm not a big fan of it yeah 'em anes yeah i mean so jerky the kito cryan stuff is sugar frejus little dry for my taste i mean bad she like she liked that stuff and go for it but yeah man out i don't i don't really like i will get a magic spoon which is a serial and questions there's another one but yeah i mean in terms of like oh a killer killer creamery that that stuff's get i've i've tested that incell that's good for ice cream we did at a joint partnership with the national in ended are not butter are bar there ntt oil all mixed up in their criminal a pretty incredible i think they might still have some thoughts on the website but yeah that so that ice cream what look what other snacks and i'm sure i've tested and you think of any other snacks like basically new brands are gonna be acute on this year yeah i'm trying to think recently i there is a there is a newer snack they just came to market probably in the last like six to eight months called rebel snacks like hey i got yeah those ones i had a really good responses like hardly any blood glucose yet another literally get to sit there like these multiples emory give me the those yeah a so those checked out mhm out is transformative and i think what else yeah i haven't of ice creams just kind of go back on max i know there's quite a few out in the markets i've tested a lot of other ones and the rebels you only i've seen that's had good results what about the killer i'm sorry killer yeah everyone rebel did not check out a i tried rattles yeah i'd i'd just tested rebel last week in a head a little bit of an issue looking at their net carbs 'em a lot of things and check out when i was trying to run the numbers on that and when testing it did not have a very favorable response but i think you know the the biggest one that i've experienced and you brought up earlier izzy 'em each smart sweets gumy's that's by far the worst one that i tested so far that one almost a double and a half is two point five times on my blood glucose jimmy page it's incredible again i don't really mean from many brands under the bus that everyone's trying to do their own thing but this company is literally like being deceitful in my opinion how it impacts people's blood sugars criminal i think that they should be banned or before the change it's absurd mhm if you don't agree with what i'm saying go get up like because meter in eat like fifteen fifteen w where it's like one these tiny pockets and see what happens you budget it's fucking insane yeah and i think one thing to point out to is that i've noticed at least four people who are doing kito for a longer period of time like you and i have were typically a little bit more resilient things spiker blood glucose so at least i am 'em and so that's why when a product spikes in my blood sugar i kind of assume that it really does rank pretty low because if i've been i've been funky over three and a half years being holding more resilient i'm i feel like if it's spiking my blood sugar it's gonna be spiking everybody else's a lot worse off the eating of all butter a cook coconut butter cups in those are great those good i'm not a huge fan of a sort of a chocolate freaking i think to make products that are affordable like you can't like high quality chocolate another honored percent and so we knew a little too much w for me 'em but yeah i mean other those it makes you feel like those things in in really enjoying the care at whole foods easy to get so those checkout if you know for blood sugar staff tranquil and see if there's any other snacks that i i've missed and yeah we've talked about chuck zeros again just don't do it without getting a lot of people love those snacks oh i'm forty five oh five pork rinds love the saul right now knows they're phenomenal really get a so you're good at whole foods when i'm on the road like that a ethic is sometimes they have a lot of products and i've chatted with him about gate getting more information the front of facts like thirty skis and i got a grocery store in summer really really great when you flip it over and look at the car content and share content and some are not so great and so some of the ones i have a couple of grand sugar i totally totally fine and then some somebody is not and so i mean they're they're trying to appeal to a wider audience so that makes sense the single want little bit sweeter of us now here we go don't most be sticks are good so that's the way to kind of create a little bit of a work around here is tricky jerky respect you don't have the same the sugar content in a beef stick these more fat it's kinda like a sausage instead of actual jerky any be sixty recommend they're better than others i mean now as far as like a how it impacts of blood glucose not i haven't seen anything different i really liked the new primal ones for taste nice i dunno if you're the chumps trump jalen i mean yeah i'll be sticks grip i think pretty but you're saying you're saying but yeah i haven't had any i there's a yoga studio or you you'll be i like that that is it's like the bill tong of sticks the golden joe verse r o e e w o r and it's another south african thing is really get out of this like tough john but you got some must be pretty phenomenal 'em of of built on do you have a favorite i haven't we call hari a low low low low carb while yet yellow k that's been that's the one that i think has the most unique flavor for me and and they're all i've tests i mean not not a huge reason the test bill tong 'cause there's really not anything and they're worried about most both cases i guess yeah yeah they're they're still pretty good i like the garlic kalahari i know if i had that one msn is one right kalahari oh yeah yeah there's a that garlic one is pretty damn good actually yeah but again like you choose through so many bags like any brand tongues might be ended a i have a weird bias the jerky because when i was younger i'll go through like two pound bags and jack link's just crush on stuff i know that some of the golden is a member member of the of the broke in undergrad like nineteen now got sam's club and explosion ten dollar bag of two of two pounds of jacqueline's jerky yeah they just came up with the sugar free true free jerky really asking office about some other replacing it with something a no there's zero zero sugar in la i mean it's a taste of that that great i would say but i think that's sort of benchmarking against they're they're sugary stuff right and i think there's like a scale like they mean with any business is really really tough to keep quality as you scale i mean their distribution is insane inside like i i think that they then putting on a sugar free jerky is amazing i mean i don't care quality beef it is like if if that's available for people a gas station convenience store that's that's awesome i got upright like turn that into a pinch felt why don't you yes 'em in eight from the perimeter very clearly in front of the package and so hats off to them actually nice it'd be like a big granted they're gonna kinda sort of trend right now but regardless tougher a big brand is they're offering that the the distribution they have i think that's actually awesome 'em certain things as any other kito snacks i mean i'm chef just i we like if anything new comes out and keep the land we buy and in southie office within like a three days yeah so it was sort of like un are indeed focus for us is rob trying stuff a bit yeah i said a duck which i think you're 'em news time and jenny's caramels i don't know if you've seen those around 'em said may support kito diet on their hands on the same page 'em those kind of destroying a little bit dated awesome back in the day like true crime also they're amazing really thinking like man this is the safety could be true and like from a budget greatest i wanna emphasize where people at these means they'll find meanwhile in everyone's putting out interesting stuff but your metabolism mayberry the mileage may vary so just test yourself you and use that as most important thing i think you could take away from this so this is just a result from me i i want optimize my goals producing blood sugar in the area in the care of my blood sugar spikes that's just my approach nutrition that's what i want optimize for instead of are you know that's why we don't have project i just thought process that we launch on myself some sort of selfishly making all of arbox for for myself but that's just sort of what i'm doing for you know if you if i'm going to you know problem i'm not saying that these brands are good or bad or or anything in between you have to figure you're goal is and sort of that and so this is my goal when i'm up demanding for his just my experience as individual yeah i think it's important to point out to the you know we understand not everybody's gonna wanna do is rigorous testing that we do on her selves regularly but if you are having any of these snacks we mentioned here frequently then it's probably worth testing to know if these things are spiking airbus you're kicking you out of ketosis it's a big difference between having something occasionally vs eating it every single day and if you're some of these snacks respecting your blood sugar everyday and that it can be really hang up from reaching any of your health goals so i said don't have necessarily test everything that you put in your body but the stuff they're eating frequently it's definitely worth finding out it's in back yeah looks like we sell packaged foods all of these things have packaged foods i lots of stuff right of you should eat whole real foods and you should eat enough where you don't need a snack all the time i mean i think there's gas where demeans nice traveling on the go and on time busy or whatever but ultimately you should be playing meals around real food right meat vegetables whatever you wanna do like decent fat amount lot of micro nutrients things like that and eat enough where you office neck in between meals like that's what i'd recommend first right a lot of people i think go a little crazy stuff and try to make these really weird fake food combinations in piling on his process ingredients greedy aunts and i mean again are are products are are technically processed foods to some degree obviously i made a very high standard but i want people eating real food trust that's my recommendation after that then look at okay if i'm not eating real food hot like high quality stuff couple times a day and i find myself needs predicaments where i want the comedian stuff or whatever then fitted into your goal specifically so that could be different for me but yeah that's sort of what i would recommend when you testaments at all all right so i'm the same note first snacks hannah men tog says chocolate it's not really question but something will talk about a chocolate covered almonds i hope they are passing testing can't wait for those yeah so are vip customer that particular got a preorder for chocolate covered macadamia nuts chocolate covered almonds in a trail mix with chocolate covered hunting season which stuff in there and yeah everything's past that scene where in production so those should be launching in august and super super pumped like there's one of those things where now we had a bag of the chuck macadamia nuts eight pound bag and all that didn't last long yeah we went through a pretty damn question man like this is one of the things i want it so so ballet 'cause there's nothing that i grew up on is you know i think the first time a house in hawaii my sister got married and i was like eighteen nineteen and the holy shit this exists yeah and then like i obviously i wasn't a strict about meditation then you eleven twelve years ago but the combination of dark chocolate and macadamia nut is just die for i might be a snack or an so what we did is we made our own like making chocolate was brutal in it is one of these things kinda got bars where we went back and forth where every year whichever manufacturers trying to figure out how to sweden how did how did make it not discussing but also with chocolate he sort of had the ride this line of going like small batch and having a form that could produce the same amount of nibs so you could scale like for instance if we had we were using these really crazy high end names from peru ecuador something that but they could only you'll like it wouldn't be like four thousand a year i mean we we were not like okay you're like how do we get enough scale this stuff in have it be so that it's tastes really good in super high quality organic and all that stuff the farms awesome checkout okay the working conditions right like the whole supply chain of chicago's she really really hard email down but also sweetening awakes like another weird thing about this is kind of background into a product idea at this point but we that to get sweetness curious chocolate like sugar sugar molecules ashley pretty large inc and distribute evenly throughout chocolate what amounts down but having steadying among treated you can't do that and so what happens is when you get concentration of actual sweetness in the chocolate is what a lot of other brands do like willie in which ones i like that they put a lot of arrest recall or innuendo cornstarch corn fiber and these things because that way that steadying monk fruit in dispersed throughout the entire chocolate but we don't like those ingredients and we think that they need to have four prog experience is not only tastes the texture an spiking pleasure so i'll do that like we want it house and being super high quality and how these fillers in it but also try to figure out how to spread sweetness evenly throughout so actually we found we did when we don't use w initiative lee but we have a base chocolate now that you have to wait until launches for you figure out how we did this but we we know what the national agreed ended up toyed around what's actually like when we first aired in the numbers and that yeah the job in august i'm super pumped about it but now he's been sort of users chocolate base their legitimate ways oregon and produce bars where did you are not butter cups hopefully soon 'em in a bunch of different basically anything you imagine a chocolate nother we kinda cracked the code on chocolate tastes good on we could use a lot of products anes that it's has highquality kito friendly agree incidents like blood sugar like is do it took forever trying to figure out like okay is this bar like it's a seesaw of of this farce suck some degree in standpoint and they taste good but then it doesn't perform on the back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with finding out that a proxy heart man it's amazing how you go from you get one any like a taste good but we don't like the makeup of it and then we switched at and it comes back tastes like shit and then this is back and forth writer takes a long time but for everybody for all those questions about the snacks you guys could add those ones cheerless in did you say it's august so they're gonna be dropping yup august awesome so is the dumbest time possible the launch fucking chocolate products turn the ship around the country it's august the brewers hunters degrees i wanna put those in fredericksburg it yeah i so next question is one that i i was pretty bummed about because for years i've been telling people that you could find replacements for a lot of non kito friendly foods the cereal has been one of the hardest ones so in this product in the market i was super stoked about it but were talking about magic spoon here so taylor jay twenty twelve said what did magic spoon peak you're blood sugar at yeah so it's it's i mean it's instagram's last week and my stories so again magic spoons a serial say marketed isky the kito friendly they you lie different things in there i think it's mainly like a way protein or or milk protein of some sort of a lousy i'll be honest a some sort of i think it's degree retirement plans the fibers in a positive thing chris'll bring this up a bit anyways attested that so i had roughly two cuts across all flavors and yeah so it's a way protein isolate hieaux lakes sunflower oil 'em tapioca fiber monk fruit peppery extract in beet juice so at first look at when you look at it up any spin that's m a serial school oh this is cereal school you're right wow good marketing they stole magic soon i tried the google it saying yeah i mean it's also not great but let's see magic spoon so it's an extra protein blend between milk protein islip way protein islip then it's coconut oil tapioca flower then it's it's a blend of allio los monk fruit extractors stevie extract and then they use chicory root fiber cinnamon and then natural flavors yeah so let's start with rating the product and taste phenomenal so they could get it tastes i think that i can't remember the profit when the gravel the free one to like just like a like fruit loops yeah you tried i haven't tried it myself results i didn't try you try there i mean we have office there i mean they they crush it tastes consistency it cetera 'em and again this is just a brand new great i think they they really really good job they're doing really well 'em again my personal experience my blood sugar when from eighty three to one twenty eight in it lasted for hours and this is another important point that people need to realize like when when i eat fruit something like that explosions and stuff like it may spike forty points itself but it comes down and like forty five minutes if you look at the area in the grip of political spikes up the longer it's a limited the worst of this for you on this is sending a have these bars and i think it's a lot of these fibers that that brands using a rally 'cause like people think oh fibers fibers low digesting great but that's not necessarily the best thing like sort of the the actress spicy bludgeoning at as a true fiber we have something just hanging around the digestive system the blood sugar for hours which terrible yup and again for me test this on yourself you wanna know how it impacts you 'em didn't didn't share very well so yeah bumped it up the i think like one twentyfive years on like that for roughly four hours while which is the that's crazy it's almost the same response i had all the boss yeah that's pretty much the same ingredients a i think the point you're saying to like if you're somebody who's gonna have like fruit or something like that like we don't really fear being kicked out ketosis temporarily but if you're gonna have elevated blood sugar for hours after consuming something that's obviously not gonna be what you're if you're trying to follow the kito that's not gonna matcher goals right but drive yourself m one weird side effect is well i didn't eat it with 'cause i didn't want it the test results ubani sort of milk not know her whole melker her whatever and so it it alone just dry and i'm sure they're not intended sista happened and i don't know if they've gotten this complaint to like it's an eight cure anything 'em so i mean if you're gonna make spin team please reach out and will walk through this stuff and put in the show notes and give the the listeners any sort of resources they want but it's like wore out the top of my mouth my the top of my mouth was raw flex three four days i couldn't eat or drink anything normally ended i don't know if that was just so this is saying captain and crunchy fact yeah yeah you see given as a kid yeah i remember that eating kevin crunch had the same results i don't know if it's just how it's processed yeah i mean i i'm not a huge a dry cereal eaters i don't know is it just a common secrecy real friends and by of certain fibers in general right 'em but yeah i mean i think that overall tastes great looks great and doesn't make you didn't didn't perform well in my book because and 'em i try i got a little bit after the next day like half cup in a sort of you know fifteen twenty points mhm race refocus is wasn't as crazy as the first by mhm but i would've usually eat way more none of the time i see like you know was it some some other extraneous things like you even something like that like i want it to be i wanna pass because that's right god damn bags actually west with malcolm it's it's fucking delicious it's really great box like now he's known on this doesn't work for me right knock it off my list of guilty pleasures unfortunately do you have any thoughts on alley los 'cause that's kind of a booming ingredient right now and that's one of the things they're using yeah i think first off me i i know you're a big fan of ice honest having done the research you're running a company that no so if you wanna give us a little dance update yeah i mean i from testing different products contain ellios i've seen very mixed results so it's hard to say i think just from a purely signed a question is is an alley or something else yeah that's that's a hard thing to the tournament i know from you know from a purely scientific standpoint and like looking at a molecular structure valueless i think it's intriguing 'em i think it's you know it's interesting and it's i would have to think is a good alternative to sugar so if it's another option for people to use news in product development i think that could be a good thing but i've seen such mixed results it's hard to know and when you look at a product like this to it's hard to tell if you know that comey is a response coming from how you loso the coming from the chicory root fibers and coming from the tapioca flower that it's really hard determined science having the flower usually when that stuff goes into the flower states sprayed on all these other things and that's what causes that spike a that i mean i've tried the these ingredients unsolved not sort of the trigger in fiber together especially just like destroy my blood sugars i i would assume that's what it is that would be interesting is if we just crazy eyeless challenge so we should do is expected to monitor the league ray us twins will bray freestyle oh is using the decks com g six before which i think is sort of like the gold standard of conflict basically three thousand dollars a month roughly which is absurd on my two three k if you're going out of pocket don't have diabetes managing a movie brave freestyle isn't like a hundred bucks okay or tuner bucks a month roughly seven hundred dollars for each two weeks 'em the league ray link app is so annoying because you can't zoom in and see the minute by minute you have saved up used the app scan the device and you're arm gives you the last eight hours but you can zoom in you can't see exact once you get scanned everytime you wanna see anything off a and then fell off off and i went on justin's well a a team member in his fell off in three days as well so like in fourteen days immediately before but then falls off at three days yeah yeah 'em but anyways with the tyler oh we should we put these things like on a they both the g six in the league referee south and you'll be really accurate every time it calibrated them there were three four points of the actual book because we're an so i'll look just like down down forty grams alley us see what happens yeah see what happens in my gut feel the need that much like my logo at new extreme end and see what happened yeah well if you're down even if one meter let's do it next week a couple of weeks now down was when my stay close to a bathroom or if you're be taking down forty grams that stuff so yeah i mean i'm a fan of this stuff is usually comes corn in yeah i just i hate the industry in fashion i think that is government subsidies and it could go on and on and on about how bad it is for environments and monocropping all jet but like i am not a big fan of sourcing it warren and we've looked into sourcing from other places and you can get a firm like hair but it's six eighteen times arguments some ridiculous yeah and it's like one of those things like no one's gonna know or care about that you wanna make that sacrifice and make a project tina's or expensive the people that care about pricing complain about everything yeah a says where having high standard sucks yeah that'll but yeah all right that was a that was a recap of magic spent stuff so you guys listening you want some help with already to make one that doesn't spike we're happy to help i just wanna awesome product out there yeah rian cereal all right next question we have is from jared bellamy and that's when you're blood glucose jumps do you notice any changes in how you feel a little less jumped when it starts peaking in goes over maybe like one thirty one forty i start to feel not like anxious or anxiety but like not stable with energy to a little bit of a jury yeah and then after that when i feel worse when says crashing down so when it goes from one twentyone thirty one forty and says you know falling quickly or not back down in our after that that's what i feel awful just clueless rj brain fog terrible and then i think that depending on when i'm eating alongside that as you know some ancillary fucking me like greens anything like that and also i feel bloated is even worse mentally but but it's just the energy from me and the mental performance of the big ones you so like physical and mental energy which just plummeted i feel terrible in that could last anywhere from one to four hours typically but antigun highest the snacks where are the hottest bikes were but like yes i mean like those ridiculous smart sweets feel terrible i feel wiped out you need to nap and like you brain fog and you can't speak clearly it's awful yeah yeah i think a big one that i experienced is like flurry heart rate when it gets up really high that's really the only thing that i'll notice wallets actually peaking but a when it's when it's on its way down when you start crashing pretty horrible all right last question i have is from a risk a phillies and it is how do different exercises impact your blood sugar i running yoga boxing functional movement etc so this is sort of a interesting question i think you should be thinking about this as far as it being bad by any means so i don't know what you mean as far as like which ones are best for regulating blood sugar at the time later in the day it cetera so this is a tough question to answer that they'll try to be as broad as possible my answer but generally speaking you're gonna see a rise in blood sugar when you're working out so you'll have i mean you you buy though he's not just only using key tones only using glucose you user blended it sort of whenever incell more intense exercise a lot of times you could have more demand on lucas and you're muscles so the way it gets there three bloodstream so this would not be concerned but if you eating something in a floating on your bloodstream so the difference between like if you eat something you have to put the glucose somewhere and if you're not working out then you're muscles and you know what i'm saying like okay this is where i want this thing you're taking outside of the body and you foresee by to do something with that lucas right so they could float around inflammatory especially with like for four hours not knowing what the hell you constantly being released new bloodstream anybody we put the fat soldier deals with that they're like if you have any glycogen up in in muscle muscles delivered and even there as well but typically flips around i mean when you get into the weeds on the a actual physiology of this but yeah i mean not not ideal scenario you have nothing like there's no reason for you to be having that feeling you bloodstream you by didn't need it you just took it in from outside without needing it usually when you exercise your blood sugar goes up is not a cause for concern because it is demand driven by your tissues and so you buy you okay i use x amounts of glucose please release some of that so that way i can you know have this refusal to continue my workout and then it continues going so isn't example i know it's like the more intense my weight training sessions are it'll go up maybe ten twenty thirty forty points 'em but then my baseline for the rest of the day will then decrease in go down you know ten twenty points and hold their for the rest of the day and see you make it to she's more sensitive to uptick of glucose the rest of the day you so there's blood glucose transporters on the cell membranes if you're muscles and other issues if you're working out if you open up these channels and say okay i need some because that's and then you by malloy and some of it and it puts those issues in severance if i wake up and like eighty eighty five ninety differ my average glucose in that you really hard transition it'll go up trendy gently and then afterwards will go down below that based on other before you mid seventy there's a he'll be at that point the rest of the day i don't know if you've played around this or have had any feedback as well but yeah same thing 'em pretty much any type of exercise i do i specially have noticed like in doing like a basketball when playing that when i test afterwards my key tones will also be extremely elevated but my glucose will be through the roof during that time but i think it's a combination of a couple of things a it's in the morning which is also a time when you get a little bit of a blood sugar response and also it's a it's a pretty stressful in strenuous activity and any time you're giving us a stress response out of your body you're gonna see an increase in your blood sugar but like he said what matters more importantly is how you're body is getting back to baseline and for me i typically see like within an hour and a half after exercise and i'm returning back to a baseline number or getting lower and that's pretty pretty much standard for any exercise and i do yeah i would i would not figure this thing like this is where people and they go oh don't you need carbs around a workout know why everybody does it have you body will making deliver whatever copy typically need we we could argue all day long about performance etc indifferent sports but generally speaking if you don't eat carbs when you work out and you see a blood sugar spiky bodies handling it right so don't freak out about that like there's i mean there's another reason why i think that blood glucose monitors continues with especially should be available every single person's i know what's going on there by right understand some of the the hang ups on why it's not allowed currently because if you do that either yet people could manage diabetes dinner or whatever like man like this is just me like we don't have access freely to know what's going on her body when the technologies there it's it's madness right pisses me off and the the benefit that population would gain is a whole versus like maybe one or two people who manage diabetes or whatever more without their doctors help whatever like if you have a condition of irresponsibility manageable doctor withhold that information about iran body because some people condition may mismanaged 'cause they're being irresponsible in some people's irresponsibility shouldn't outweigh the positive benefit for everybody else yes if people could figure out you know we talked on this episode what foods reacts with them with exercise react best for them like stress how stress affects people on had some friends wearing some stuff really like why is my pleasure so high in the morning wise and so high all day today and they just basically come down at you stress response is and then i figured out to like more stressed i was the higher i based on it'd be like in a market like up two hundred hundred ten points in a mill grunts definitely there and that's that's like a sugary meal all day long just kind of stress right and so then using that as a way to figure okay let's reduce stress in these ways whatever i mean the fact that we can do this on around without a prescription like the gig saint louis monitor prescription which is dennis yeah you can go to walgreens and bio and then you could put her finger west no doubt then prescription you can't have it be a better experience where it reads it all time it makes it easy like no one's gonna be working out in stopping every ten minutes strict the fucking blood sugar right in a meter like why are we holding his information back mhm yeah i think people being see this stuff it'd be really i opening especially for people who maybe are making dietary changes yet or lifestyle change changes to manage things like stress i think being able to actually see what happens to your body under these different conditions whether it's eating the certain food or putting yourself in a stressful environment i think that could be pretty life changing in change the way the somebody you know change their habits and fish oil by the feedback loop you know what i mean like when you eat a food generally speaking you have a very soft feedback loop if not for a long period of time so so it's often what this is when i we have like three or four days before acne acne pretty consistently and so if i were just kind of have no idea that that was going on but if you know if it was cropping up bribery eating it now having said all of my face i those eating assan i wouldn't eat anymore yeah i think that the scene of a blood sugar took a lot of times even when we talked about earlier like i might feel this yeti tumblers they'd get t shirts everything you want over there strikeforce energy dot com obstacle check it out or we're going to be talking about today is i wanna talk about excuses so what made me decide to talk about what this excuses is something that i've had issues with in the past we've all had issues with that at some point we make excuses if if you're in a good tribe you like to give each other ship for the excuses that you make so this was evident today on the texturing there are a lot of us are on the texture amount with a lot of the guys from sheepdog response lots were planning out who is going to be open today and i'm not going to call anybody out but somebody said hey man i gotta be somewhere and that individual dog pile but it's all in fun fund but it's true to you know you call one another out on your excuses like jaakko says all your excuses or bullshit is that true yes because it excuses in a the reason there are reasons for not doing anything i didn't hear that triathlon well i was i was in the hospital with a heart attack okay that's a valid reason that's not not an excuse okay hey why didn't you enter that traffic on well i felt like i needed to train for a couple more months okay well that's an excuse you know somebody asked me what in your that triathlon i don't wanna do triathlons i only run chased okay and i learned to fight so when have to run anymore i don't own a bike and i'm not a big fan of the water so i have no intention of doing a triathlon that's my reason for doing not doing a triathlon but i'm gonna break down some of the most common excuses that i've heard and i'm gonna go into uh why they're bullshit and i'm going to deconstruct them but in a constructive way i'm gonna talk about what you can do to circumvent the things that you are currently seeing undermines the monumental obstacles because certainly things come up and you say man i just can't do there's things i want to do but i just can't because of these obstacles okay eh made some notes here so i don't get off track so forgive me if i'm looking down at my notes from time to time so let's talk about these excuses and as i said you know jaakko willing i know a lot of you listened to he says hey all excuses were bullshit and it's really true so this is what we're going to talk about mostly what i'm going to be focusing on is exercising and eating healthy and training jujitsu go into the range training with your firearms all the things that we talk on this podcast but really everything that i'm talking about these these core core excuses this could apply to anything this applied to starting up a business to getting a college degree to spend more time with your children to whatever remind be this can these excuses and the ways that to eliminate them still apply the number one thing that i hear first and foremost is this time that's the big thing that everybody always says i doc i just don't have enough time there's only so many hours in the day so so many days in the week i just don't have time to do this well well yeah that's true there are so many hours of the day not let's let's break that down so let let's see how this excuse often applies not just not just to work in applies to work out i don't have time to cook healthy for jujitsu i don't have time to dry fire at night okay things don't take an incredible amount a lot of time so let's assume today's twenty four hours let's assume you're going to get a solid eight hours of sleep or nine hours in my case but let's assume you're going to get what is recommended which is eight hours precisely that let's assume this work work day okay i'm not trying to take anybody's weekends away from you you're going to go to work eight hours eight standard eight hour day two hours of driving giving you to our free commute an hour to get there in an hour to get back hopefully don't live that far more often that's like ten miles let's say two hours for meals in the morning right to two hours to prepare your breakfast in the morning an hour an hour to ferny your breakfast the morning our affair and eat your breakfast in the evening and maybe that's a little bit of prep time for i don't know leftovers or whatever for lunch but odds are if you're eating lunch at work you have time for that because they blocked off time and that's time time that you could use and we'll hygiene in there too it doesn't take you that long brush your teeth wash your face jump in and out of the shower let's say after all that i alex you two hours for a little bit of me time and some family time okay two hours to decompress stared awal play video games whatever it might draw with your kids talk to your significant other about your day and you need to be doing that every day right i'm not plus or minus speaking if you're gonna include include intimacy time in there i'm not necessarily doing that that's probably gonna cut into your sleep time so let's talk about that this is twenty two hours in a twenty four for our day you have two hours leftover hey guess how much time i recommend you spend on training every day between an hour and a half to two hours okay so i recognize not everybody's into situation where they can do strength and conditioning workout and do some type of training in the same day not everybody can necessarily do what i'm doing on my schedule now which they typically do my strength and conditioning in the earlier part of the day just before midday eh and in the evenings i'm training ju jitsu i'm training striking or i might be doing weapons maintenance students dry firing whatever it might be i recognize that everybody can break it down that way not everybody has that much time but two hours most you jitsu classes are an hour and a half okay so l. granted there's going to be a little bit of drive time in there but i mean you find that in two hours right there or that's two hours the gene do some subtype workout and this doesn't necessarily drive drive into a gym you can you can do a homework outta i'll talk a little bit more about that as we go along but that's after all the things that i've described that's two hours and granted you might have some chores and stuff like that we're the busiest times ever to two of the busiest times that i ever was in my life life was as an eighteen delta student going through med lab the days were incredibly incredibly long and i had to budget literally the way to budget my time time is i would walk in the door every night and i was doing laundry every night because everything was just filthy dirty all the time we're talking about doing live tissue training a lot of other stuff i would literally walk in the door every night throw my clothes in the washing machine start the washer jump in the shower get out of the shower throw oh my typically some some type of PT clothes on for the next day go make dinner at some point while making dinner usually the washer cycle was finished i would throw my clothes in the drier eat dinner i would make enough that i had enough for some type of meal prep for the next day some type of leftovers right and i and i who do that because i like to get as much sleep as possible immediately from that i would make my breakfast for the next morning and you typically i believe that was just boiled eggs and i would get all those ready so in the morning all i had to do was wake up i didn't have to make anything i was gonna eat my breakfast right there and that's how i that's basically the all the free time that i had what i just described to you basically took place in those two hours because work was taking up everything else another extremely busy time in my life was residency and going through resumes incredibly busy and i actually matters at one point to do two a day workouts during residency i become incredibly obese probably over two hundred pounds i was afraid to step on a scale and i made fitness a priority in my life and i had to manage age my time around that so what that meant sometimes i was in the department which is being work before seven o'clock typically if i was on an outrage awards rotation a lot of times at mid pre rounding at five thirty six o'clock in the morning so oftentimes what that meant is i had a membership up to a twenty four hour gym i was getting up three i was getting in the gym at three thirty four o'clock and then soon as off at the end of the day i was back in the gym doing doing a strength workout so i was doing usually cardio workout in the morning that was thirty to forty five minutes and then zooming strength workout in the evening i had no television i wasn't the only time i was answering emails official work emails while at work i wasn't surfing the internet we didn't even have home wifi at that time in the house i was living living in residency so i had no cable no video games nothing that was really a distraction fitness became my priority i recognize not everybody can do and that's why i'm listing all these other things but you have to put your fitness as a priority because the next thing you know you're gonna open your eyes one day and you're going to be in your mid fifties and you're gonna be forty five pounds overweight and oh my god where did the time go and then it's even more intensive right so now it's become a huge factor and now you're racing the clock to manage your health and let's talk about health a little bit a little bit more in detail as we go along long not i'll give you some more tips to kind of manage that so let's talk one of the things that that you noticed i touched on there was a lot of leftovers right and and basically i was i was grilling a lot i had i had a basically a grill in my kitchen that electrical that i was doing oughta grilled chicken i was doing a lot of baked chicken stuff like that it just getting huge facts of chicken chicken thighs and doing that all the time that latte in typically can't green beans was all i was eating that's what i was sustaining myself on it's not ideal it's not a lot of variety it doesn't taste great eight but for what i had to do with the time that's what i had to do with the time let's talk what i'm doing now so give you guys a little bit update and some of you follow me on social media so i started out weighing a high one eighty s when i first stepped on the scale of about five or six weeks ago was even heavier before that and didn't step on the scales probably over ninety got back into working out that's helped quite a bit thing i've always had a problem with getting my fitness on point well l. happy to tell you i got in the 175 range now got on the scale this weekend i'm even a pound down from where it was a week before and yes that's because it working he actually my calorie consumption working out over the last couple of weeks is actually dropped but my nutrition is on point why is nutrition on point what you might ask well i'm gonna tell you might trish nutrition is on point because a trifecta try facts in nutrition nutrition has a partnership with the UFC see you know what they're doing meal prep for UFC fighters they know what they're doing can you have c- could have picked anybody on the face of the earth to partner with when it comes to meal prep and they shows trifecta that should tell you something right there all wholesome ingredients mostly organic ingredients delicious taste i i can't tell you how much of an impact trifecta has made in my overall fitness and yes there are sponsor of the podcast as you can see if you go to try to nutrition dot com forward slash m. o. t. w. u. r. and mark that as your landing page because every time you order of course a little bit of money goes to the podcast but i want you to save money so at checkout on your first purchase you're gonna use the promo code emo t. w. and you're going to save money on your very first purchase as i said used by the UFC my wife and i both use it i've lost eleven pounds i can't say enough i really they like their heirloom vegetable kim appeal off with salmon my wife's favorite is the thika chick people with chicken kebab these are great meals they taste just as is good as they sound i gotta tell you what meal do you like i just answered your question brennan perfect timing it's almost if i paid as question these these meals meals are just great i mean they they taste his grace and we look at the menu and you're like wow that sounds good they really are that good and they're that good for you gives you the calorie count tells you all the ingredients you're you're not putting a bunch of weird chemicals in your body they arrive at your door and a refrigerated package all you've taken out of the package throw him in the frigerator or you know say you had to change your plan going on a tan dan you throw in the freezer they're good for three months in the freezer and they are just absolutely delicious speaking of my wife's fair which i said the ticket chick people a little bit of trivia did you know that chickpea and a guard bonzo being the exact same thing that some of you didn't know that ninety now okay so let's talk about the next excuse that i hear quite a bit from people and this could have to do ju jitsu hey everybody looks like we're back i'm really sorry i don't know what's going on with the technical difficulties but looks like we're back now so we will pick up right where we left off what i was talking about of course was was excuses and what i got into was the excuse being money completely sensitive to that i understand that money is an issue nobody has infinite refunds when it comes to anything you have other bills that you have to pay obviously the priorities of life half the come i i understand that not everybody can afford a gym membership i understand you're sending financial responsibilities but remember what i said about what what i was in residency and cable TV we didn't have cable tv and part of that was a money issue part that was none of us wherever home we were weird hours so the fact that matter is think about the things in your life you're spending money on that you can do without that are just distracting you from the things that are really important cable television can be a big offender when it comes to that i mean how often are you really he's sitting down and watching things that you really enjoy that you'd get something out of and how many times are you sitting down and channel surfing just because of boredom him and kinda hoping to find something in whatever it might be watching that episode of star trek for the five hundred time or whatever it might be this is a really this is not a good use of your time if if cable TV is not a benefit to your life i mean this point honestly what i'm i'm this close to give gable i haven't yet i'm this close the only thing that i really watch i watch mayans MC that and i- i devi are a couple of shows that's pretty much it pretty much everything else is either netflix net flicks alex or amazon prime i'm getting away from you watch the news on cable TV because it's just so polluted so so think about the things in your life that you can you can cut away whatever might be it's could possibly save some money do you have a boat okay sits in your driveway that you never use you know do you have some hobby that in the past you've invested an incredible amount of money into the when i decided i wasn't gonna skydive anymore i sold my parachute sounded wasn't gonna golf anymore i sold my golf clubs k. these didn't get a lot of money into that but the freedom a little bit of cash do you have something that you're pouring money into go through your bills and see what your deductions are what you're pouring money into every single month month that you're not getting a a life return on and you eliminate those things to free up that money that's the best advice that i can give you when it when it comes to something like that look for people have a tendency to over extend in life what i tell people all the time is do not overextend in life live within your means this is the big problem that i see in physicians is they end up living paycheck to paycheck and actually a pretty high paycheck because they want this really cool car that came amount they want to they're not content to just live in a regular house it's within their means they want that ice house with the pool and a really nice neighborhood right off the golf course and to me that's a mistake and you know i think you should always live within your means and planned for tomorrow and i've tried to do that my entire life and eric commend you do as well certain things in life you got to buy groceries you gotta have a roof over your head you've got to have clothes on your back close your kids backs right these are all things that are important the electric bill a gas bill the water bill hobbies are the biggest thing i think where people just shovel money into it and they're not getting a return on it so so that's the best advice that i can give you and then what i say is next i mean look look at things in life that that you can do that are free that are going to provide you that benefit so burke's costs no money going outside and setting a twenty minute a timer on your watch and running twenty minutes out and twenty minutes back cost you nothing you didn't you didn't pay for that like a gym membership okay crunchies cost nothing pushups pushups conscience cost nothing pull out your phone watching youtube videos of wads body weight workout to the day that costs you nothing is it as good as having a personal trainer going to the gym now but it costs nothing okay so let's say you say i can i can afford to take your gypsy lessons or or i can afford a gym membership take jitsu lessons okay take the jujitsu lessons and get up early in the morning and watch youtube videos or get get get a secondhand p ninety x said DVD's and watch us all right there there's there's something that you can do that's cheap and or free they can take the place of that and a lot of it is body that's a great thing i tried p ninety x i never did the whole program all the way through to completion but i thought it was a good program and it's minimal a chair carolina bar dumbbells in in a towel i mean there's not a whole lot to that and by large it's great exercise program so these are things that you can do you don't need to spend an incredible amount of money to to have a good workout program so prioritize you two lessons over it and you don't necessarily surly have to have when it comes to firearms training you don't necessarily have to have the coolest firearms that are out there giving example i needed to abraham what's up how's it going i needed to upgrade on a pistol and of something that i absolutely had to do so i knew that i wanted to piss with an optic i'm fifty three years sold my eyes are getting a little bit older i wanted some type rent something with a red dot sight and the options that i was looking at it was gonna cost me over a thousand thousand dollars to get what i want and i ended up making a little bit of a compromise on that i got something used from somebody who i know and trust and jeff gonzales also over three hundred austin and saved four hundred bucks and walked out of there with a great pistol the functional it's going to do everything that i wanted to do it has an amazing red dot sight on it and i saved money because i didn't get impatient and say that i gotta go to the really cool looking gun shop and just throw throw my money down i made a smart purchase so just be a little bit smarter with your money and budget a little bit better and look for things you cut out if you're doing stupid shit like smoking or dinner thinner whatever thinking how much money that chews up a year they got if you have bad habits that chews up a lot of money in the year you've gotta humidor over my shoulder here okay yeah cigars guards costs money i don't buy them that often typically when i travel someplace i'll buy a few bring back home put them in the humidor i've got to the point that i smoke cigars so so seldomly now that i don't burn up a lot of cash too in that i tend to be smart about it but these are ways that you save money so you're totally maxed out atman again burpee free also little thanks kate water tap water unless you live in flint michigan tap water is cheaper deeper than soda cheaper than juice cheap cheaper than all these other things and it's better for you so you're saving money and you're getting a healthier option if you can't afford range time let's say doc i can't get into the range every weekend or every other weekend even it's a want the once a month thing for god forbid it's a once a quarter thing for me hope at least once a month thing you go to amazon dot com e by the tap wreck trainer for your pistol which costs fifty three cents or or something ridiculous and you practice with that you know five minutes a night dry firing five eight eight i'll even cut it down to two or three times a night hey dave what's up you you dry tapper taback trainer that's translated into the range so find every way that you can as far as you goes obviously i don't ever recommend somebody trained martial arts in online format i guess that question a lot i see that come up in online forums is a lot i think he needs to be doing some type of training and then i'll auditing it with videos i think is a good idea so let's say you don't have money he just absolutely don't have my decided for jesus completely maxed up okay go to one day a week find some place that has opened map on a weekend typically those places do not charge you for open map okay i guarantee you someplace in your town has opened math on the weekends and you can go for free so start going start hooking up with people and say hey man i'm new i just wanna learn something people will be anxious to teach you okay and then during the week the way you're going to augment that is you're gonna watch videos there's a lot of them out there so what i recommend is you go to somebody's reputable stephan casting great videos paul paul dean highly highly recommend his videos these definitely stick to somebody that's a well known instructor her kit dale the gracie brothers henry here do some great videos on their breakdowns you can off meant it with these videos and and go to open matt on weekends and you're not gonna learn at the same pace but you are gonna learn but again as i'm saying if you're going to prioritize something i always recommend that you prioritize protests martial arts pretty high up there because it's not something you can learn on your own really if you if you're starting pistol from day one or firearms from day one you can't learn that on your own either because you really need somebody to watch you and this is true even for me i've been i've been shooting a gun my entire life when our recently with my good friend shanti coker who's an austin PD police officer i said hey man i gotta get the cobwebs out yes dry firing at home but i need to get to the range i haven't been shooting from holster i need somebody to critiquing critiquing me on that and right away he picked up a couple of bad habits i kinda slumped into i was able to easily able to adjust them on the fly and get back to what i was doing before so that's definitely something again you're gonna need instruction for i always hear this thing that it costs more to eat healthy when it comes to nutrition it just costs more costs more to eat healthy this argument comes comes up and political debates right so a big mac meal look this up is five ninety nine a grilled chicken salad with a cup of ice water at mcdonald's in the same drive through his four seventy nine so it's dollar twenty cheaper so you just saved money and you're now eating healthier okay i guess what you can buy the grilled chicken sandwich and throw the bone away the bun is the most unhealthy thing on the grilled chicken sandwich throw the buonarroti dead and there was a point that same point residency is he was talking to that i might help the priority i actually got food from mcdonald's drive through a lot and i throw a lot of buns away sometimes this which you have to do the water because again i apologize for the break in a livestream splice both of these together for the podcast of course that's is gonna cost me a little bit of editing time tonight that i'm not real happy about but it is what it is the other big excuse that i hear i hear this especially hey james how's it going i hear this especially in people in my age group hold on dave's gonna question go due to time constraints how many days a week do you recommend as a minimum to maintain incompetency great question dave so i'm gonna touch on that and they'll jump into the next thing what i do strengthened fitness five days a week under the guidance of my coach folks directly okay so usually that that means i'm doing weight training and probably some intervals on all of those days some days it's a little bit more intervals you know some some amr wraps or or rounds for time sometimes it's more of those and a little bit more high intensity somedays it's more weight lifting on the days that it's more weight lifting usually it's heavy those are my heavier lift days or that's dead lift squat whatever it might be and i'm doing a little bit more that little bit strength and then i have some every now and then i have some durability mobility days worked in there too that's five days a week that's what i do now as i've progressed my body has gotten used to that and i'm feeling healthier sure and like i can do more now i've added a long run on my first off day after i complete those five days and and then typically i'll do a hard open not or some type of sparring or some standup work on that other off-day off-day and a and that day tends to be more high intensity interval type stuff like it was today cooper's right seven minute rounds i did seven seven minute rounds while we're cooper's today so a great interval workout sometimes it'll be the heavy bag my garage sometimes it'd be doing stand up with somebody else so that's five days as with the coach one day i do a kind of a long runner endurance thing if weather affects me i do i am fortunate that my wife and i have a peleton bike in the house and a treadmill i'll do the peleton or the treadmill and then i do take one day completely off for restaurant career my i know some some people don't have to at my age you do so let's talk about age yes would you recommend smart strength program three days a week and cardio BJ the rest of the week yeah that's one day to approach it i do workouts and be JJ on the same one of the more than one at night and i'm doing ju jitsu currently two to three times per week but i had to build up to that i found that when i was doing hey i'm going to count jujitsu soon workout i just wasn't as good a shape okay i kind of feel like you need to have four good days of core strength and conditioning dave so yeah i think three might be a little bit light on that that's just me personally i i kind of feel like you have to have four just to overall wellness are let me get get into this great questions dave so tired that's a big excuse they hear from people all the time man i'm just too tired i'm tired you know what i would i get home i work hard it just sucks the life out of me and then i get home i look at my geeze there and i've just man i'm just tired it's we've all alvin there we've all been there and the more you kick that can down the road the easier it gets aitchison what's up really just like one of my med school counterparts what's the more you kick that can down the road the easier gets to not get in there and do that work at or go to class us whatever it might be and i make myself go when i'm tired and by the time i'm done with warm up i've forgotten all about being tired sometimes sometimes you just have to bite that bullet yes you set the grit down find it ago yeah i mean when you say you're too tired you are you are you too tired that you couldn't walk yourself at your car and drive to the hospital to find out why you're so tired okay if you're if you're that tired then have siri call all nine one one okay if you're not if you're if you're that tired if you're not that tired didn't say the car going to the hospital go to fucking class or go to the yeah that's that's the best thing that i can tell you to do is just do it and then you get through it now are you too too tired because you're not getting enough sleep let's look at the reasons that you're too tired because there's a lot of reasons that you could be tired so let's talk about these trading after work is always the number one so if you find it's just impossible i'm just always too tired i find an excuse or i get home i eat a meal and that i'm exhausted right and that could could be some indications of some medical issues that we're gonna talk more about a head but if you're just completely exhausted well what okay you're exhausted so and you're not gonna go to class and it's seven o'clock at night okay you're exhausted with turn the TV off and go to fucking bed go to bed at seven seven o'clock you're exhausted go to bed go to bed at seven o'clock and get up at four o'clock and work out in the morning okay a lot of places have morning that mij- john jim georgetown does okay so get up earlier go to bed earlier if you're tired in the evening and get up earlier and then go to jujitsu in the morning or go to the gym in the morning lift run whatever it might be i love running in the early early morning like before right as the sun is crossing before it's completely like that's my favorite time to run and i hate running okay but if i had a favorite time to run that'd be it so if you're just too tired then change up what you're doing okay okay how do you feel in the middle of the day could you do a workout during your lunch break at work right there your office do burke's in your office whatever might take some dumbbells into your office you know i had what i was department chief dr no i had push up bars and dumbbells in my office all right that's and that was my favorite teenager while i was on hold which i was on hold a lot james young getting over major next surgery about a year ago doc advocates let me see what you've got here hold on no more skied at it yeah james you should not sky v neck surgery getting onto the mats yet you need your doctor to clarity that's all i'm gonna say i clearly to get onto the mats you definitely should not skydive okay because we know what that does has to the to the cervical spine that's probably why i have a herniated disk that in wearing NBC's on a helmet on multiple deployments yeah man you should it definitely not skydive but i think you need to get clearance from your physician before you decide to do anything on the matt sorry man tristan recommend seeing a pain doctor and i would agree with them interested in is a pain doctor in fact tristan is the best pain doctor in the state of texas bar none so check him out all right train before train at lunch break it up break up your workouts again that's what i had to do when i was in residency i had to do a cardio workout on the morning there was basically strictly cardio and i do a little bit core on push-ups then i would do strength workout in the evenings and that's how you do it you just have to show so what you have to make it non negotiable something i learned from my wife you make it non negotiable and you show up okay and then you're going to get done start tristan is a is a spine and joint pain specialist okay to be specific i don't wanna diminish his credentials and like i said is the best in texas if you continue you to have these fatigue issues now we're talking okay do you have anemia give a thyroid problem is it your testosterone is there something else going on here so so if you're maximizing your sleep you've listened to my podcast episode when i talk about how to get healthy sleep and you've done everything i told you there you're still too tired to do all this stuff you've optimized your nutrition you get plenty of water jets can help to you're still having all these issues okay now ninety to see somebody needs to your doctor and talking about water that was an issue that i had for a long time when i was working at the darnell is driving home and i was drinking too much coffee and not enough water so driving home i'd start thinking about going to jujitsu and i just felt depleted once i started drinking more water water and more aggressively drinking water and as soon as i wake up in the morning i rotated bed put my feet on the floor and i drink bottled water i just chug foam bottle of water completely and that made a huge difference for me huge huge huge i'm going to talk more i had some specific notes here on water hold on okay here we go you need a minimum of eight ounce glasses a day of water that's how much she should be drinking and that's just at baseline okay so we're talking about two liters half gallon roughly that's baseline andre close to a gallon now so the the big gallon jug you see that's what i'm consuming today and again ona mentioned chantrey coker again my good buddy he carries one of those around i had to go do some training last week with law enforcement agency and that's what i did i just showed up in the morning i knew we were going to do a wad in the morning and then we're going to be a tactical training all day i just showed up with a gallon of water because yeah i knew that's what i needed to drink for that day okay that was aside from the bottle of water that i drink when i woke up that morning and aside from the two bottles of water that i drank on the drive home afterwards i consumed a gallon of water throughout the day okay if you're not working out that's going to be too much water for you and too much water can be dangerous so let's say half gallon if you're not working out a gallon if you're working out vigorously hydrated die exact tristen especially if you're doing today's if you're doing it sticking amount of sweat that's on the match when you're doing what you do so i cannot emphasize this enough basically it ends up being if you if you some computations will tell you basically it's an outs- propounded body weight so for me at one hundred seventy five ounces so just over a gallon so really i'm right on the mark for my heart workout days but spread it out throughout the day you can't drink a gallon when you wake up in the morning thank you for the day okay don't do that again if you've optimized water optimized nutrition and optimize sleep and you're still too tired to work out you have a medical issue you need to get seeing speaking speaking of energy let's talk about ways that you can get more energy during exercise so how do i get more energy during exercise well another affiliate of this amazing podcast gassed as i'm sure you all know is on it the supplement company that you're all familiar with go on it dot com forward slash m. t. w. for all your supplement needs and i'm gonna give you a little secret about one of their supplements in particular shrimp tech sport so back when i was still struggling the early days of getting back in shape i was having some issues hughes's get winded a lot in my roles so i started taking shrimp export shrimp exports interesting story behind it so it's made from the court accepts mushroom that grows at very very high hi al ttitudes in the nepalese mountains so we're talking everest level shit here right farmers noticed that cattle battle were eating these mushrooms all the time scientists study these mushrooms they found that there's something in court accepts mushrooms that helps you in low oxygen exchange environments maximize your ATP production of those dunno ATP is what you need to fuel yourself right we're not going to talk about the krebs cycle because that's more indepth than the podcast calls for shrooms tech sport past quarter steps mushroom in it true tech sport has been tested in double blind placebo controlled studies real science people found out that people lift heavier and they have more endurance when they're on trimmed export versus placebo and personally anecdotally i can attest to this myself i have used it i'm fifty three years old and gave the edge over over people twenty years younger than me so go to audit dot com forward slash m. o. t. w. use i do not okay and if you don't have cookies enabled able it won't say that in your browser you can have to every single time so this is an excuse that i hear that again i've been guilty of using myself and that's travel and in the weeks ahead i've got some travel business travel coming out that's an easy one to use right i'm in a hotel i can't train right the hotel gym sucks right a lot of hotel gyms do suck by the way safety tip one thing i found out the hard way i was in what i thought was a very nice hotel gym with these beautiful hardwood floors don't burpee is on hardwood floors unless you want a broken nose safety tip pride sued a sweat hits those floors it's it's a hazard everybody but but you can do burglaries in your room the rooms carpet fuck the guy living below yeah he needs to wake up anyway burke's whatever whatever it is body squats there's gotta be something down there that you can use whether it's a kettle bell whether it's a dumbbell whatever a bench you can do something okay i do lunges i've i've done i went to a hotel gym in houston all the machines were in use so what i did is i went out there was a pool outside i did lunges around the pool and every time i would get around the pool i would do ten burpee in place and then lunge all the way around the pool again and i was completely smoked by the time it who's over so great great thing that you can do all kinds of body weight stuff so i travel hey guess we'll travel tim kennedy drums uh-huh lot does it look like he looks at being excused you guys have seen the crazy workouts that he's posted on instagram i've traveled with the guy we've done crazy the workouts on the beach in south america a crazy workouts up and down stairs in hotels you name it it's your only limited by your imagination so chaired dips in the room great point chris and these are all things that you can do you can do chair dips you can you put your hands on the desk put your feet up on the bed in the hotel room you can do dips that way push ups you've got to make as you go well okay hey doc that's that's all well and good you know for kind of maintain because obviously you're not going to get a lot stronger doing that what about you jitsu how do i maintain that i'm on the road all the time so there's so the thing called drop ins k. i've done drop ins in italy i've done drop ins in uruguay i've done drop ins in portland oregon in las vegas in salt lake city in fayetteville north carolina i've done drop ins all over the country okay i travel with ghee a quite a bit and sometimes even when i don't it doesn't take a whole lot of space for your jock you cut some shorts and a rash guard up right that doesn't take a whole lot of space and your mouth guard don't trapped aftermath car i've done dropped a lot of places in most places that's a great thing about the brotherhood of JJ is most places won't even charge you for a drop in if you say you're traveling on business i'm going to be here two days to tuesday and thursday class i'll pay twenty five bucks for the drop in most of the time they don't even worry about it man grappling miranda now i wanna give a shout out to grappling maranto in in italy those guys were so cool now they welcomed me in the end of the class they said anytime you come back this is your home those guys were extremely welcoming and most places again are not gonna charge you for droplets let me tell you a little story so there's is this guy that goes to my gym chris i'm not gonna use his last name because i didn't get permission to talk about there's if you ever if you ever come to my gym which is john's jim georgetown there's three chris's you might run into my gym all three of them will murder you on that so the first is chris roscoe also known by the handle on social social media fear the beard be JJ recently promoted to black belt the mazing ju jitsu practitioner chris will annihilate you did did second chris is chris that we call marine chris who's a purple belt who's also an extreme bad ass very softspoken but will surprise you third chris also propelled chris and i were white belts together we may blue belt same time we made perfect about the same time this is the third chris and he inspired the fact that he travels travels all the time for business he is he is doing this progression just as fast as i am just as fast as other guys in the in the school cool are because even though we might not see him for three weeks the he's not that doesn't mean he's not traded for three weeks this guy's done drop ins like everywhere we joke around that like if you add up his map time two thirds of it is probably the outside gyms and a third of his actually at art in which the joke but it may be true and then when he is in town he goes in the mornings we can goes on the weekends when he can whatever it might be but that's a classic example of look where you're going to be traveling where the nearest you to places are calm up so hey i'm gonna be in town on business can i drop in you know what night is what night is nogi find out and really that's true not just for jujitsu but any martial arts martial arts is a very close knit community community i don't care if you're training tempo judo whatever it might be you can always find a place to drop in on a class and you will be welcomed there at least you should be so that's my advice if using travel as an excuse latch crutch as to why you're not training so art all right so i went through a number of excuses basically i went through a time money too tired and travel and it kinda debunked all of those for the most part and again sorry for the interruption i think time wise right about where we typically are when we wrap up and since we do have a little bit more time what i would like to do is i got a pretty interesting letter if i can find it the threat air my step so i got a i got an email from a listener and i just wanna go over this with you actually take bringing away screen this would be a little bit easier now we're wanting to do so this comes from clyde i'm not going to use his last name as location says hey doc personally personally two herniated discs lumbar spine also my neck i you not do very heavy squats rip says this is after the market so upset but even he he says to modify for athletes injuries i screwed up guys i'm reading you the response i sorry about that i am i'm not infallible let me read his the question i so this'll make more sense a doc i've been a big fan of your podcast for awhile thanks for doing it for the background of my question former army grunt work law enforcement early thirties trae jitsu to four days a week lift run three to four days a week few years ago i started having back pain sack nerve pain caused by compressed lower disks always stuck to the basic squad deadly bench press pull press but as a precaution i started lifting a lot lighter than i did before and doing more functional training quotation marks i thought mr does outlook look made a lot of sense but i also want to be able to keep what i have left in my lower back for a few more years how much do you do heavy squats dead lifts and the increasing compression your lower back do you think i should revert back to heavy lifting and get stronger and similar fasteners mr ripta described or the bag not worth the buck thank you so much for your time appreciate appreciate it great question clyde gained sorry for the confusion now i'm gonna go into my answer so personally i've got two herniated discs l. i've got actually to down low and one up top one of my neck and two of my lumbar spine i don't do heavy squats i didn't do any squats this week i needed dead left but even with dead lift i two hundred pounds for four reps a six so not doing incredibly heavy weights i am adding weight every week i'm adding outing typically five pounds a week and continuing to challenge myself and push the envelope i'm not going to the point that i feel unsteady that i feel like anything is gonna give out whether that's my knee or whatever might be i don't do anything when you load that bar across your shoulders you should not be feeling pain hey if you're feeling pain just from loading the bar that that's nature's way of telling you shouldn't be doing squats the only time i ever had any issue was a brief period of time when i was doing squats onto a bench because i was doing low weight squats onto a bench and then i was a lawyer squads onto a bench and different day i was doing deep squats with the kettlebells that gave me a little bit of an issue but typically when i do regular squads not coming down on top of anything i'm not having an issue if you are again that's that's too much so that's the best advice that i can give you for stuff like that is if you load your your bar and it hurts than that's nature's issues wave telling you don't do it so the one thing i would say you know substitute with that something i know rip doesn't like zurture squat i do i think kettlebells kettlebells squats i think are completely viable option yeah they're like way but you can do high reps and stuff like that and he's going to build your muscles don't don't do leg press machines i think president honestly should be outlawed there's great videos out there guys doing leg press and doing a complete and ACL disruptions and posterior dislocating a their knee joint do not do like breasts it's just ridic the people like guys with big egos like leg press gives you can put seven hundred pounds on press and feel like you're doing something moving eight inches don't do press guys it's just just a complete waste it's bad for you i hope this is helpful man all right guys so that's it man that's it for a that's it for email questions let me run the board here lucille again any questions in the in the comments thank you everybody for tuning in and i really appreciated had a friend lose a thumb on leg press yeah i'm not surprised i'm not at all surprised very dangerous guys that's all i got an sign up for now because i'm gonna need some time to edit this tonight make sure you check out our sponsors of course strike strikeforce energy dot com use promo code MO TWA checked out to save money and to let them know your listener so so obviously we get something out of it go to effective nutrition dot com forward slash Gun and Gear Review Podcast Episode 295 SI Mass Driver Comp, Magpul CZ Scorpion parts, Canik Elite SC
"The Firearms Radio Network provides the bandwidth for this edition of the firearms insider gun and gear podcast in a world dominated by gun funnies and around industry has to offer I'm GonNa do one and posted up on firearm insider DOT TV TV dramatic calls shut up yeah I just wanted to get some recent trigger time because I've had to thank for like three or four years now and I've never done a review on it and I haven't seen a lot of reviews on the four and a half inch so welcome to the firearms instead are GonNa Gear Review podcast episode two hundred ninety five on this show showcase interviews gear and four and a half inch barrel and I started putting rains time on it trigger time on it shooting different loads for the review that I'm will be doing on it okay well I actually got out to the range last night so shot some low light some dark light you know stuff like that but we care what you think join these men on their quest to bring you the good the bad and the ugly that the qualification course they had five or six in that class That was interesting I got to shoot a little bit myself as I was fun and we held our I'm just like Ooh this is what rob didn't firearms was he actually actually yeah we had our friends honorary banquet on Friday and it was kind of good kind of bad attendance was down but it was the first one since Jeff passed away so we're kind of I guess in recovery hi I'm gearing up because if anybody knows this week they're doing the MAG forty class in live Oak Florida and I'll be ended up there tomorrow for that class some looking forward to so yeah she'd be interesting okay so what I did was I took the bull by the horns and ran with it and I went to the range with the Ruger. Sr twenty two MAG- eighty but I'm figuring it should be interesting because there's not a lot of people in a guy has like what fifty years of information that he can dump into you in two weeks that that's a that's a full week long class Wednesday through Saturday fourteen hour days and you know once you alumni Mac forty nothing I did I taught I taught a security armed security aw in your friends have an array banquet last week in down here so that's Cool Yeah Tony Rob I'm guessing I know rob did which was probably nothing anything else again enthusiasts maybe looking for we strive to evaluate products for unbiased is for perspective in this show we will be discussing comps pistols season you can go ahead and take their MAG eighty class the big do that what once every two years or once yeah I got an email about that yeah I mean I I don't know what they teach at the affiliate Lincoln Finds Radio Dot TV Slash Amazon and I think rob's disclaimer may actually hold truth today Yes doc racist because I had to traffic camera they sent me off for God yes yeah because new committee chairs which already thinking about retiring and sucking separating into doing the committee chair which I don't WanNa do but yeah we did that and then Scorpion parts and another butthurt review. I'm your host Chad Wallace and listening tonight or Tony Zane raw and what did you guys do and fire under for that Yeah and sometime rob and I are both of us or something we'll have some sorta review here in the future Chatham ready to write a review but he said hold off on snag profile. CNC machine no permanent modifications of the weapons required so what it does is besides what it says pushes forward to reduce some of the felt recoil it also eliminates the need for threaded barrel so it makes it fifty state legal they say not and it mounts through the compensator to the recoil I guess it would be rod whatever they were so that that's how I go on for this month it's pretty cool sign up you know get all the cool patches checkout gun streamer dot com for firearms videos if you want and if you're shopping Amazon user your standard Glock slide no special holster needed if it's open holsters it has a counter recoil design so as the slide moves back the cop reduces recoil and you don't need a threaded barrel which is what I liked about it plus the price is right it's what ninety bucks it is only okay Oh yeah so yes so that's what I did and not too exciting but it was it was worthwhile so I guess we'll get into the announcements bandwidth billable from primary arms but last time I checked I think they were like ten bucks cheaper there even though that's the only place you can get them I think they were looking at it for you know hey it's kind of odd looking but biggest thing is you don't need a threaded barrel to attach this for this price it supposedly is the same with those it offers close to stock cyclic speeds reduces reciprocating mass basically it's a compensator that is designed so those yeah so that that's why for night the night vision but I don't like it on the right one I can't I'm recommend opinions expressed in this podcast for those at the individual co-hosted Dude I reflect the official policy a position of the firearms radio network and or their employers this is definitely not legal advice pretty sure that's how they get away with not running it on a threaded barrel which I'm intrigued by you know you can you know works you it comes in two different ways nice talking to you I'm sorry I'll Max Shell should I'm hoping up to it answers are buddies at Patriot Pasco they're doing cool stuff Lots of new patches for preorder some are old summer new go check out the patch of the month club because the counter has being a compensator it comes with a recoil Spring Guide Rod Assembly a fit Washer and guide rod head and the Spring of course oh big on compensator what are you going to think I think it's interesting design especially for those folks who live in states where you can't have started barrels Tony so that nor should it be considered as such he's our opinions people if you're discretion is advised this is especially true on live shows and since we ain't got no reviews this week we're going to Rosalie again I don't do a lot of it but I mean eighty nine dollars do you can you can try something out I mean that's what it really comes down to try and different things out I don't he is eighty nine ninety five so pretty good deal I put this in the show notes for two reasons one it's new okay to maybe a few more three mm for seventy nine nine thousand nine or something I clicked on their page but it tells me I'm waiting so I don't know if we'll get to that or not yet you guys are so encompass I'll be honest of all the stuff I've seen for locked this actually looks like it might work and that's why I'm with it looks like it might work it looks really cold Collagen get it for the nineteen or seventeen the reason there's a difference is because of the guide rod length has to be specific to whichever one you would like it says also if it doesn't hurt if it doesn't stop anything with the performance degrades performance in any way and I'm not really it's mostly a lot of times when you start competent guns you start to have to shoot hotter load so you won fifteen white box may cause thing to have it may not either but it is something about the strike industries mass driver comp Ooh Yeah Count Drako Patches I got mine that's a cool little patch yeah I'm holding the Drako path to the camera hold it up to worried I see how it's machined a see the contours bike member. I'm getting this so it looks cool I mean you know is it going to be like ashes I don't know what Louis you're doing this yeah whatever okay so like Rob said the strike industries master ever comp Ms as you can match a color up easy it's on the on the primary arm side they say it's tough manganese phosphate finished so is necessary obviously because you should be able to practice recall management anyway but why the heck not I mean people have all kinds of stuff to their guns anyway I have no problem with uh-huh actually make a difference in my experience if from what I understand the the hotter and hotter the Emily's shoot better actually worked through so you can get away with folks that can't have said veils finally have a better option than what was out there before and the and the price is cheaper than a lot of screw on that's that's what I've heard to pretty much you going to have to either put you're going to have to shoot hotter loads for to actually show a difference in your recoil suppose it's kind of Neat I don't I don't have much experience with Thomson Textiles so other than that I can't really speak on it but it's definitely interesting the cops on me uh-huh that's okay go go to the primary arms website you can get it for seventy nine bucks yep either one for the be aware of before you go out and purchase if you're used to shoot nothing but tula you may run into issues with that you know with but you may not I don't know there's just something shipped pretty stout loads and it's bringing it back down to where it needs to be yes life I don't have a ton of experience shooting I think it's I think it's mostly interesting a US one of these and again it looks cool and that's one of the most important aspects of firearms ownership exactly if you're not doing it for the Graham what are you doing exactly yeah has their kids exclusively through primary arms so you have to there to see if it's out of stock now what is this finish dude I'm looking for I don't think I'm just thinking here this is available for all Jim's other than one correct five-member I heard it was gen three only eighteen or nineteen and that's the only place you can get it I guess so that's where you have to go to get it so I guess we will I figured this would be a quick show which unless rob has range gun I mean this is not yeah I was thinking sp for like a competition shooting or maybe just like you said plinking because I couldn't imagine carrying us yeah the yeah yeah hey primary arms has a giveaway for primary onset getaway for Glock thirty four race guy and will you better enter at Tony I'm looking at the black belt for primary arm sorry they didn't undercut the trigger at all it's still has a stock trigger stock trigger housing like it's not undercut even a little one thing I noticed that they'd say that on the website did so out of stock so you have to register it and they'll send you an email I guess when it gets back in stock is the people that Carrie Kahn guns along part and it doesn't matter the other thing about performance you want to look for is is on the primary arms giveaway pistol I was reading the many things they have going on with that so I apologize could distracting our listeners Tony Long which I wonder why it started with Chen three the most prevalent pretty much that's where you biggest aftermarket is and that's what all the policies are based on two it's going to be a black YEP match your glock that won't match anything because basically park arising black park rising pulls ceesay Scorpion parts as you can probably guess meg pulls bringing out Scorpion Parts Ms Rpm on their parts or nineteen ninety five to twenty the win 'cause free ninety nine is my favorite price yeah well cheese I'm like free ninety seven or something then don't even writes in large parts and the other thing is is that's one of the glocks they could have in California shoot true it's only something else I was thinking of their mind I was gonna say I need a new recall spring seventeen so might look into it what that means bad jokes he likes three stuff so it's Tony Yeah well make one for June four and I'll get it I'm guessing probably come on four ninety five so they're super expensive I is the one that everybody wants and that is the thirty five round ev nine megs for a price one thousand nine hundred ninety five if you've used any of the MAG magazines you probably know that these are probably GonNa work just as good as every other magazine on the mark hopefully they don't have any plans you think about it I mean most of the stuff you buy glaucous out there just crap you both do you know it's pink or purple or whatever the hell it a lot of the sites you buy glocks aren't we my whole hand does not fit on when it uses original rock Mac and that at your little lip actually allows me to get a full grip on my on my glock nine but at this point I would be comfortable carrying the at least the ones I have because I run through three or four at least full day classes at this go ahead and I was GONNA say if they don't Nag whole didn't have a run of magazines that like yesterday came straight out and they're like hey look we asked up once probably once probably Tony though so now we'll get we'll get into the bag well unlike they did with the with the first first Glock megs they made the first run or whatever they came out and said hey these have a problem we'll fix them we'll give you whatever they listen to this show to do they know why I think they listen because they like us I mean right now it's six of them so hey as with them unlike some other third party magazines that I can't get to feed Jack Squat through like ets did I say that say that people the crap they're made out of one hundred percent among I don't even know if I have a third Jack Locke C. Point Zero problems so I I actually had to switch over to mag pool mags because using the Glock nineteen team when I use a MAC KOMAG and I've run them through multiple yeah multiple day classes The pink class when I went to Saint Louis Kevin Dixie and randy the ad on I think okay I'm really intrigued with the thing it looks like a really cool idea he hammers word he's the big word like intrigued so yeah he's gotta be true this but it's June four yes he got a gen two I think my thirty four is the gen three of course for seventeen ninety US okay well now we're done with magazines for those we're we're GONNA head onto they're also making a pistol rifle pistol grip for it so basically your pistol like Oh atoms are well Jack Law is when they started the Jin Force where they win the change the the Gen Foreign Gen five they did Messed up and every I have I have a ton of the Glock Bankable megs and I have I have had zero problem by those I bought the El Chapo kinder now collecting dust the bottom of my I like good aluminum ones if you want plus plastic ones people know something and then won't say on a podcast because you gotta be into no I haven't had very good luck with the thirty round megs so unlimited my the cost of any other pistol grip to make and they also have their enhance ceesay Scorpion evil three MAG release and all of these things can be headed maxed either Glock Lock Max or Mack mags that's exactly where on that rob adjust it's either mag full or glock and I carry Oem Gawk mags with those next thing you know ten minutes later they hit their he already broke it hadn't even used it yet it was less expensive it was it was less expensive any finish you want as long as you want no this is meg pull black and O. Rien Cross probably will buy five of all of them you are open up the actual page for the evil grip it's got a solid plate on the bottom of the pistol grip someone assume or some older played at the body soon they'll storage I saw too I mean when I clicked on it but of course that doesn't mean that which means here in three months or come out with one storage so i WanNa know something loaded the thirty two so be it I mean just live in Jersey where I can't actually by the magazine without having a guy I'm surprised you can look at the magazine one show strives to bring you what you need here they don't care about your feelings they don't the crap and he was he was playing with him to hadn't even used 'em yet they the base the base plate broke basically shut off for me to just go ahead and buy brand new compliant mags from bag pull then keep dealing with like the Pierce Grip Extension Rip it is there Yvo grip so I guess what does that mean does it have storage or not does Max know its seat aw screw this up that are good at so they if they do mess up they own it so you know back pools their great customer service autumn up to full capacity right that you could have a problem with low closed bolt is that the same thing that happens with Scorpions like you can't load that Thirty Round Magda comes now so I just look at it like hey if that's the case this thirty two round magazine allow you to load it all the way to thirty you know what I'm saying and if you can release looks decent like larger so I who knows I don't have a Scorpion Yvo so but they look like decent usable parts it's it takes Ego Mags da so basically it's just a different pistol grip for Your Sea Scorpion those are twenty four ninety five so now we were here we were here yeah literally pre show Adonis like hey check these plus twos or whatever he got over like Kamini Indoor pistol in the magazine jacket hit the floor the floor plate sprung up around topped out Tony had someone we're like Tony the difference for them to make your purchase for Gen fiber other generation two through four I wouldn't think I know I got a little different now something or other because would it to full capacity and you'll have a problem loading and shipping around off I don't know the answer that I do not thirty yeah you so you yeah you the three and four double double piston spring thing there's something I have one spring and I take it back they do have undercut because it out Chechen mouth Fisher whole when it comes to Mags A. R. Max we're always told never true I lied I got GPS set up out of state so my computer thinks I'm in Pennsylvania Oh okay can look at it yeah his class and I'm talking to routes round after round one thing I bought those plus two basic extensions uh-huh here's Aalto don't you I don't know if that's a gen that's the gen three Brian Paulin rates based on I am I can't imagine and he doesn't even own a store they'll pretty soon the company works for a start as like hey I need one next up is an actual pistol that we're going to talk about because everybody else is doing it can make decided they needed to kit on the subcompact line of pistols with the t EP ninety leat subcompact MS RPM design the magazine up software maybe but they just don't say that Ms Rpm is four twenty not single action only correct the original design now it's can't are they either owned or sister companies with century in my my losing my mind it does have a micro red dot interface on it so see Zane they did it right which means you can put different red dot sights on it front slides be way too heavy it it's twelve or fifteen plus one round so flush fit over extended barrels three point six inches six point seven inches long rations you know reversible magazines not Ambi but reversible standard pick rail on the front for lights nitrile coated barrel long four point six high it says it's one point four or five inches wide and weighs just under twenty five ounces unloaded it does come with small and large Zine Buddy said I don't know it looks it's another subcompact pistol which is nice to have it looks okay to me I'd like to she wanted to see how well interchangeable back straps it's got a blackout rear sight in Foss I front white dot site so I'm assuming that glows if you hit it with light and they started selling it for like two hundred fifty two hundred seventy dollars it was really low people started buying it cannock sent out a crap ton uh-huh nitrite everywhere it looks like comes with two megs the two we talked about hey it doesn't come with holster yes it does interesting yeah and it looks like it looks like a halfway decent kites holster that's probably injection molded kayaks here I'm going to try to recreate it let's watching it live yeah only those guys we'll start with the with the whoop Chacha stopped out okay so all issues so didn't didn't cannock have some quality control issues awhile bank did with the first one did they get those I haven't heard much about out of Kim can you stop for a second and go back to the beginning of that thought because out had dropped out and yeah it's it's not kai-shek's from everything I saw they said it feels a little different than Kodak's whatever I think it's probably injection molded like because I'm thinking that you won't miss it I I well I wanna say and those I don't know about them have anything yeah they came from Canada he's just a copy of the welcome service pistol so it had everything walther p ninety nine so it can wall do we know if they've got connect killing everything they're doing it was the first what love him to everybody on the Internet and they were like look this has this stupid de Cocker and I'm like well that's a clone of something that has a stupid dekok This just you idiots have never fricken reviewed one uh-huh so they pooh-poohed over and said it didn't work in Canada unlike a lot of companies actually listened to our customers and got rid it eventually they had to change the operating the original was boarded than they had problems with that single action gun that for some reason had deok problems well it should if it needed a deacon if thing has fifteen rounds so anyway yeah so cannock has been making stuff and they've been making it at a at a low price they have really cool colors I think there entry arms wait a minute hold on Yes yes century officers reporting them because that was my first conversation because century said they wouldn't send them to Jersey even when they had fifteen round magazine Hi Okay and I got into a discussion with the guy at NRA about why would you not sin your firearms where they have over a million gun owners doc single because everybody jumped on them because most people don't know a Dang thing if it ain't a glock or Colt Hey tony can use and with everything that comes in that box holster that you could use inside or outside the waistband so everything is there also has another series of their pistols I look at it so is it better you know what I mean everything's in that one box now I'm looking at it right now and it's on sale for like three seventy nine I in is what everybody else calls titanium or something like that yeah so and the cool thing about the nine elites if they take the MAG or the other tonight so you can still put those in and the cool thing about the holster is it works with the other teepee nine all of the entire line that just comes with like the magazines no holster show this can either be you can use the holster from this thing you know what I mean so you can use teepee nine and US I say if you get one kid one dude it look it it could work if you want to carry it but by the time you carry it and actually wanted opinion on it you should know whether the thing holds the pistol in the gun in it like for like concealed carry I mean and I haven't seen with the holster looks like because I can't open the page for some reason but usually the halters at come with guns or Kazini it's just the magazine it doesn't like Atta hold back peeve so it doesn't make the back strap longer you know what I'm saying so you just stick the magazine the same holster for both as inside or outside the waistband that's a cool idea to make reversible we can flop it inside or outside I'm not saying it's a great host but it locks in on the trigger housing so I guess is probably probably designed you know Kinda hold gun at the range I probably wouldn't care on this show I don't do it we say we don't also don't listen to these guys even the small magazine comes with Pinky sanction or the standard base plate and again you can use thirty something I think they have thirty round magazines or extended misdemeanor almost like a pinky extension but that's it like it doesn't go full the full size of the grip the full SA- comfortable and it looks like Elle magazine optics cut for twenty eight that's pretty cheap price yeah they're high end KANDIC is they're five hundred and forty nine dollar s up under you know how fortunate you have until you talk to people from doing Leonard California yeah I mean it it sucks matters yeah I'd have a whole bunch of other and I bought a revolver at the NRA meeting Friday night Saturday trip to the gun dealer and just walked out with it took me two hours together after you had done the Gun God forbid we talk about something other than the actual product I don't care about what somebody's opinion is you gave me one store you can step in my turned upside down and shake it of course after you make sure it's empty and making says what's supposed to note the opinions expressed I mean it looks like an interesting done I like I like the idea of canucks I've dry fire few of them I have Iran any rounds through a candidate that I can remember what every time I pick it up I go wow this isn't bad but being in Jersey in the amount of time it takes you to get a pistol purchase permit by the town that comes through onto something else you know what I mean well it's hilarious because I pulled pulled up gun deals It it somewhere I go all the time and I felt it it out you know just pulling up the cannock handguns how's this from a two seventy nine for base cannock teepee nine essay to their top of the line like five five and a quarter into race gun with a twenty one that's a gun rental I just sit in I decided to go back to give you a plate for the optic you guys x f x Special Forces extreme elite everywhere Oh and the extremism spelled X. because this is everything ninety sure it has as much as I find them interesting it hasn't captivated me long enough I'm GonNa go ahead and get this and put in a permit for it and that's that's that was the thing visited holster will work for you stopping wrong hand oh another thing that this thing is pretty cool if you haven't noticed when you put the extended twelve round AH welcome to Turkey comes to twenty round magazines though and that that kicks the but it's kicked out of any other race gun I know about this things already cut for could Laura ten thousand dollars to review well there's that new there's some other things that are are not substantiated so I'm not saying highpoint I could check out this gun and if I didn't like it I could sell it and what would I be out of you know when you traded I'll be fifty bucks sixty bucks yeah okay ends with plastic plastics usually thicker than metal. Yeah but the Glock Max or metal lined so but I I see what you're saying with the width Attends if I could actually go in the store and purchase one and walk out because cannock is interesting because I mean really for the price for the price of maybe fifty dollars more sliders just because they give the whip one point five doesn't mean that's a slide with that could be the controls sticking off the side like the overall with even grip yeah Magsi cheaper because every not putting a brother makes accessories for employees well it was funny because with magazine issue cheesy peasy were seven in housing's for this I'm not sure how long can I really can't comment on the way these things work as I have very little experience with the actual cannock firearm but it looks like a nice little gun all presidential aluminum aluminium either aluminium people it's pronounced tonic doing great for an Ram are no it's for yeah it's full shield it's the smaller compaq red dots okay what what's the wisdom ticket going to drop an applicant there that's kind of wow yeah I'm still not a huge fan of of cannock overall because of some business practices or heard about it yeah I know a couple of guys at century I'll I will talk show yeah reality is get on it sells I wouldn't doubt it ninety two MAG- magazine yeah well I was talking to the guys wait what just happened what just happened Carrie I've tried to jared audie within lesson I think those magic forty three dollars forty five dollars and and because they're getting rid of them they had them on sale for nine ninety nine each awhile Mandela title says don't want to prejudge what has the SEC right it says it's danger the width on the one point four so why are we cutting it for that stupid optic that'll make any sense to me I three sixty back not I go away I mean we heard you oh what are you show dirt all you guys I just got I just got done Chris to have a review show that is not legit if they hate accompanies politics they hate every product they are not someone I will ever trust that B. N. Y. R. Bunny or I don't know he gave us one star it says let how they view these wars and the Internet that could be well you know what but airbags were always metal until magpie came around so never know they might do it I mean I'd love to see him come up with the what is the review and I think what what they don't get out of that is that yes it probably was due to these springfield I'm like shooting he will tell you how mag from something else and cut holes in it and make it work indicated Rutta Beretta Ninety Two's Beretta Ninety two MAC supposedly worked for cannon because they got a one inch wide slide yeah glock slide or a double stack glock slides who I don't know what the with I don't know what the wicked what the hell cat that we talked about and we said we don't like the company but yet the hell cat was probably the best springfield armory rice gushing guess what's next listener feedback okay so this is from I tunes and it said it is from Philly they have to spend forty bucks for bling sleeping FM MAG or sick mag good Lord and and people wonder why people buy glocks cause it's pronounced China can Turkey Turkey that's what I'll call it yeah well somebody dropped question that Mac book cheaper three twenty will do you just fun for the range right and that's Kinda where I well it also it has attention to you down as much as you want trust to show the reason you know we don't like to companies because we're honest enough to tell you that yeah all right and the other thing we're honest enough to do after telling you we didn't like it control but my whole thing was we still suggested that this was a decent gone and we even say we'd buy one US but we wouldn't financially support the pat is we all really never had anything bad to say about the pistol and that's fair one hundred percent of someone take my whole thing is it's amazing how people get pulled into Internet fan boy stuff because you don't even know the truth when it punches you in the face imag I'm GONNA assume probably not because the three the CIGS and FM or all metal Max and I don't think there'd be enough room to put a full-size magazine Eh can essentially about it because again I was desperate to try to get these New Jersey because I thought it was worthwhile and then of course reality hits so you can easily get suckered people you think are good guys with honest reviews and they're just paid shields you can spot the xt bamble is like but when a gun company comes out and supports legislation that is bad for gun owners that needs to be called out and if you're dumb ass can't figure it out sorry about your luck Bro I'm sorry heard not like their company and stopped listening immediately to the show for the reasons and again the reason and it's funny because you can't or hand I'm like well how do I say I don't like a company but I find nothing wrong with the product I think it's important that we explain why we don't like to company and that I find nothing wrong with the product abuse trust other dudes who got paid too yeah but we know we know he doesn't say that I can't help you if a company comes out and legitimately support especially gun companies like Walmart wants to do it I'm probably going to shop at Walmart right because I gotta get up it's not worth my time he he quit listening right now hey that that was that was like a that was nate there you can also again visit diversity shoe dot com and donate by pay pal also just talked t shirt guy if you're going to Washington DC for this second for everyone thought oh excuse me diversity shoot yes so the diversity issues coming up this Thursday diversity issues assert because we know you're boomer well my whole thing is again you can't critically think this review had nothing to do critical thinking we were honest enough to say we do not like it I'm mispronouncing it I don't know why you frigging Jerry on my way words I have to vote I don't live in Turkey it's it's pronounced with a C I dot Com twenty bucks come on out we're going to have some prizes we're GONNA have food we're going to have guns and to quote Keanu Reeves as neo gun lots of gun so mile away because they're the justice good typically they're the ones you know who are running around and so if you don't understand about voting with your wallet the company and then we still gave a good review to their excuse me a headache discussion and said there was nothing bad that we could find about their product that's called honesty

NYPD Cop Plotted Murder-for-Hire
"Valerie Cincinnati paid her boyfriend. Seven thousand dollars to hire a hit man and kill his teenage daughter and her husband but she had no choice. What was she supposed to do? Try and take them out herself. She was in New York City. Police officer that's a good way to get yourself fired or at least on desk duty but that was twenty nineteen and she's had to change apart since then after folding prison laundry for a year last month she really really tried to be released on bail using the corona virus as an excuse to get back in front of a judge because too but the judge had good reason to roll his eyes and refuse in the words of the. Us Attorney in Brooklyn. The evidence in this case is overwhelming. Hey I'm amy and every Sunday Wednesday. Were here recapping. The story behind a true crime headline so. Let's get to it Valerie. Cincinnati paid her boyfriend seven thousand dollars to hire a Hitman and kill his teenage daughter and her husband. Did you get that because I had to read it a few times before? I believe what I was saying. She paid her boyfriend to have her ex husband killed because she was deep into a custody dispute with him over their son and she wanted him dead so she didn't have to share her. Nypd pension or her son with him and she was paying her boyfriend to have her boyfriend zone. Fifteen year old daughter killed because she was getting in the way. What offering to pay for your boyfriend to have his own daughter killed. Seems like a real dating. Don't but apparently Valerie thought he'd be into the idea. He was not because after she outlined the plant he right away immediately told the feds started wearing a wire when he was with her allegedly because her trial hasn't started yet but allegedly her boyfriend. John Rubel took Valerie seven grand and used it to buy five ounces of gold coins to pay the Hitman gold coins. Remember the days when you could just hand hitman cash and they do the job now you got to exchange the money for magic beans and give them those. It's just it's so complicated but Valerie says she was just giving John the money to buy gold coins. What's the problem? But let's just say that the cops the better the other cops that they're right and Valerie was using those gold coins to buy a couple of murders which did not happen by the way everyone save except Valerie. She should drop the soap in the shower anytime soon but she was trying to hire a contractor to kill. These people does not sound like she was very easy to work for according to court documents when she was told the Hitman was at her ex-husband's office in Long Island said he should be killed in the hood or the ghetto instead so it would not look suspicious and when she learned. This hitman didn't WanNA murder teenage daughter near her school. She said runner the F over. How about that K- and then when a few weeks went by and her husband and this poor teenage girl weren't dead. She asked the obvious question. Why was this whole murder-for-hire thing taking so long but then cheap further micromanage the process by telling her boyfriend to have the Hitman kill the girl his daughter over the weekend and then wait a week or a month to kill her husband so it wouldn't look suspicious and she should know because she's a police officer a police officer at this point law enforcement had had enough and they decided to give her what she wanted? A dead husband stood in my car glass on the floor and all over me and had me hunch over into the peasants and it's a picture that was that like Earth craziest experience. Yeah after she saw the pictures and the police told her he was dead. Her boyfriend recorded her discussing what her fake alibi could be if she was questioned about it. If these allegations proved to be true in the yearbook this girl would definitely be voted most likely to be arrested for being dirty cop kind of a not so smart super dirty cop at that among other damning Internet searches. She Google the phrase. If your ex dies do you have to share your whole pension? She might as well been googling. Dump things criminals due to get themselves convicted. She was a twelve year veteran of the NYPD. Working as a domestic violence officer in Queens. And that's where she met her boyfriend John Baruba in two thousand seventeen while she was working case. He's been called her sugar daddy in the press. Now he was fifty four. She was thirty four at the time and he paid her and Bill. So yeah yeah that tracks but then he got her suspended when he reported to internal affairs that she was hanging out at his house when she was supposed to be on duty protecting serving but then they got back together. Their relationship is not surprisingly described as volatile. Of course Jon is an exactly choirboy either. He allegedly threatened to shoot a guy over fifty four thousand dollar diamond ring in January twenty nineteen and was bragging about supposed ties he had to the Gambino Crime Family. He was also very proud of his friendships. With a couple of the actors who played mobster on the Sopranos so for Guy who seemed to be such a mobster wannabe. How ironic is it? That the first thing he did was drop a dime on his girlfriend. Of course if you ask Valerie's family they believe it was John who set the whole thing up to framer and speaking of her family at the time. She was arrested. Her brother was an FBI agent two months after she was arrested he committed suicide but again she insists she's innocent. Prosecutors say Valerie did her best to try and get rid of the evidence they believe. She destroyed to cell phones and deleted texts. But even without those phones. It's pretty hard to argue with wire. Tape recordings isn't it does not look great for you girl. Her trial was supposed to start on April twentieth. But it's been postponed while her legal team. Sifts through thousands of pages of text and calls between her her boyfriend and her ex-husband if she's convicted. She faces ten years for each of the two attempted murder for hire accounts and twenty years for obstruction of justice. I have a feeling this is going to be it for her. But it doesn't have to in for US. Click to watch the recap of developing case. The murder of sixteen year old Rodeo Queen Britney lackey see there.
