"Anyone that has a chance to like one, hundred, forty, hundred, fifty targets we going in the eighth the ninth round. We need to be hammering that actually. last year, he had one, hundred, twenty two, the situation has really spread out. You know the the perimeter receivers are changing. Denzel man has been dealing with this hamstring injury. I you know the you mentioned the schedule is tough that could actually work in favor of the passing of applying from a high not. They lost their best defensive players in Jamal Adams today traded CJ Moseley opted out. So. I mean, I'm all about drafting Jamison crowder in the eighth and ninth round that you smash the button on him and I'm GonNa Move Chris Herndon up I like the fact that atom days came out and said, he's our starting tight end because they did play Ryan Griffin almost hunt percents of the snaps slash year and gave him a contract extension after the season. So that would suggest to me you know using like Brag Matic that that they want to continue to play Ryan Griffin to some extent, but herndon has just printed look so. They're like screw it were rolling turned in. There's a lot of target upside there. I like taking perryman too. Late he all these this is what's Nice about these guys is that they're ADP's are all very, very late even even darnold he's like a last job secure quarterback to get drafted I mean, people are taking drew lock ahead of him which I think is ridiculous but. Yet, they're offensive line also there returning zero starters, but the talent got a lot better upfront. So there aren't you know Oh and also from weeks six, thirty, seventeen, last year, they did start to play faster. They finished eleventh offense a place from week six through seventeen last year. That's something that Adam Gates has talked about for a long time wanting to do very very rarely in in in actually implemented but maybe you know maybe he will actually. This year. So again, these jets pass catchers are very, very cheap. Don't want any part of Lebanon Bell, but Herndon crowder in Perriman I think all very fine draft picks. Yep. Okay. Last thing we're GonNa talk about today is the rams wide receivers and we had some questions on the rams wide receivers. No news here no rankings change I just wanted to bring it up because we haven't really spent much time talking about rams wide receivers you have. Cooper Cup thirty six overall Robert Woods Bob Trees thirty ninth overall I mean Cooper Cup last year coming off the ACO. Just went absolutely nuclear to start last year I. Think it was like five one, hundred yard games in his I eat close to your quieter. But still facial ninety four catches and touchdowns they go out they replace Brandin cooks in house with Josh Reynolds and maybe Van Jefferson. But yeah, I mean people are GonNa be on. The clock thinking should I be taking which one shy be taken I know this from essence happened to me before when I couldn't shoes who I like more between cub and woods and cokes. I would just be like I can't decide I'm taking nine, and then I would just get chuck by these huge Cooper Cup games, and so I don't want that to happen to people in season long. So how are you thinking the Rams wide receivers? We have cup in woods very close together believe cup his wide receiver eighteen woods is wide receiver twenty two I think that Cooper cop has shown a higher ceiling than Robert. Woods, and that's a main contributing factor to why we have cup ahead of woods I think woods is a rock solid wide receiver to pick I. think that some of the ways that he gets hailed in the fantasy community is a little bit overboard. I think he's a fine wide receiver to pick I think in in in his tier of receivers. There are a lot of receivers around him like Dj Shark even t y Hilton got said Shit. Wide. Receiver. One upside I'm not sure that Robert Woods has that. I think Cooper is obviously shown that he can produce a wide receiver one level and that's sort of my take on the situation. If you want to go deeper down the depth chart, think Josh Reynolds is an excellent You know wide receiver pick in like the fifty, five through sixty, five range. He goes really really late in drafts and. I think Advan. Jefferson it it's GONNA be a year for him but Yeah Cooper Cup Fan Robert Woods Cooper. Cup like both high floor wide receiver twos but has the higher ceiling in therefore that's why we have him ranked the head of woods. Now I will say you know cup woods I think are going. Probably at cost. But if you think the rams are gonNA bounce back in Sean mcvay is GonNa find it. Again I mean you can make a case that the rest of the guys can makers Gerald Everett, Jared Goff Josh Reynolds are all going wailer should assuming that if you think the rams are GonNa have a big year and so I think there's some best ball stacks to be had. If you end up with cops, we cup or woods in round three round four creating rams best ball stacks I think is somewhat interesting. At least to think about. Okay. We're back later this week with Mike Leoni to talk about some positional. Strategy got. Hope. You guys enjoyed this. If you did hit subscribe leave us a review. It's all free. So for producer Luke. Four Matt. Good. Luck everybody..

"Need this when they want a by I to go at their division title. Now tannahill six and two since taken over in Tennessee Mariota but they took a hit in that lost three point. Loss Austin Houston Just last week so I mean if you think about he's with his second. NFL team since being traded away by Miami Miami in March tannahill is trying to get a new contract and remember brees was in San Diego for five years before rivers came in held out and then reestablish his career going onto New Orleans but You know brees said. It's kind of like reestablishing the foundation but also drawing on your experiences a quarterback I mean how many games that Ryan Town Hall Star Prior to arriving in Tennessee a lot. He's an experienced veteran quarterback again new environment new system. And I bet you're bringing some experience experience and wisdom along with it. And that's a big deal Sean. Payton said he's been very impressed by Tannehill. You can see the confidence instead. He's playing with. He said I think he's six two since becoming their starter and so that's pretty impressive to watch. Well there's more history looming because brees completed his final final twenty two passes over the colts. Remember that one that he missed almost had the perfect game thirty for thirty which they would have made a thirty for thirty about so if if he completes his first four passes against the titans he'll have the record for most consecutive completions right. Now that mark is shared by Nick foles roles Philip rivers and Marcus Mariota and Tannahill Michael. Thomas is closing in on on his own. NFL history. He's had eight catches this eight games at least ten catches and that's the most such games in single season history right now one hundred and thirty three catches for five or fifteen hundred fifty two yards eleven marquette pass Marvin Harrison's league record of one hundred and forty three which was back back in two thousand and two now the saints drafted safety. Kenny Vaccaro was the fifth overall. Pick six years ago and he played sixty seven at a sixty eight a games and five years for New Orleans but they let them go last year as a free agent and he was unsigned until Tennessee. Lost Jonathan Ciprian and so he got a one year deal will invite Carl said. I grew so much as a man the five years I was there. It's excited. I'm excited to see all those guys again. Well the Saints Marshon Lattimore on. Eli Eli Apple are healthy. The coroner's but that still didn't stop them from them claiming Janoris Jenkins the Jack Rabbit Jenkins off waivers from the giants. Apparently he'll step in for. Maybe Marcus Williams Marcus Williams. Of course in the worst plane. NFL history on Stefan digs but like AJ Brown. He leads all rookies with eight hundred ninety three receiving yards. He was amazing using against the raiders. In fact he could become the first enough record with five one hundred yard receiving game since Amari Cooper did it with the raiders in Twenty fifteen. So this is GonNa be a tough game. And I like Tennessee at home niner fans will like hearing that. I like Tennessee at at home in that one. So so far I've picked every game for the home team except steelers at jets GonNa go for another home team here. As the dolphins host the the bengals one and thirteen versus three eleven and Cincinnati's run defense is dead. I'd last they give up almost one hundred and sixty game but then again the Dolphins Raslan Rag last run offense. They're leading rushers Ryan Fitzpatrick with two one hundred nineteen yards of thirty seven year old scrambler. He's sixty eight than rushing in the league but that leads them. The dolphins could become the first team. WHO's top rusher has fewer than three hundred yards since we went to a sixteen game season in nineteen seventy eight? No wonder Miami's these three eleven and no wonder the bengals are one and three. They allow more than five and a half yards per carry so the dolphins have started four running backs acts this year and they have combined for six hundred and forty yards only one the undrafted rookie. Patrick Laird is even on the team right now. So the the bengals bungle for borough They're not talking about borough yet. But it was boomer. esiason presenting the heisman trophy to Joe Borough. Oh with a striped helmet on a pre-game show last Sunday and Bengals fans have unfurled banners at Paul Brown Stadium Urging the team to draft him and he will get it last time they had the number one overall pick they got Carson Palmer now Zac Taylor. The head coach and former Presidents Act. Retailer is addressed it saying quote. You have a sense of things that are going on outside of the building that you need to address with the players. That's not something we talk about. They do a great job. They're focused on coming back and winning the game. Well it's going to be a lot of Joe Mixon back to back games where he's Gone over one hundred and forty yards. I mean why not. He'll be the guy so I don't know Josh Rosen. The potential franchise quarterback the dolphins give to a five. He's taken three re snaps since week. Six and Florus was second gas for sticking with for Fitzpatrick instead of giving this twenty two year. Old Kid a chance but you you know someone who does Rosen. Even have a future you guys and Flora said Yeah he does. And then they asked Rosen. He said Yeah I do. We'll see where it goes right now this team and this week we're go go. Play fits and yet. I still take the dolphins to win this game. We have the Brown's announce facing the Ravens and this would be a perfect time for the browns to rise up and beat the best team in the AFC. It's not gonNA happen. Dysfunction junction continues. I don't know I don't even know if I would play Lamar Jackson too much in this game. Although I mayfield filled seventeen touchdowns seventeen interceptions. Lamar Jackson thirty three touchdowns passing seven touchdowns rushing. He has over eleven hundred yards rushing and nearly nearly three thousand yards passing the colts. Take the Ravens on the road. Colts will host the panthers. I'll take the colts in this one. The BRUSETT bounce. Back and Kyle Allen has been atrociously they still have Christian McCaffrey who can set some records. That are Basically only marshawn Lynch inch and Roger Craig had for thousand thousand seasons Then the broncos host the lions the lions can't get out of their own way. I'll take the broncos and this this is Blau versus lock. Yeah that's right it's scarborough versus Lindsay. This one on you gotta look between your fingers to watch. But I'll take the donkeys the eagles host the cowboys seven and seven in the winter. This game is in prime contention to win the wild wild card to win the division the NFC East now do you like Prescott Elliott and Cooper do you like went sanders hurts. I'm picking the home team. Whoever that is and that's Philly so yes I think Prescott will have a good game? He's leading the League and Passing or second in passing yards but he is definitely having a great season thin and he's in a contract year on the Eagles at home the seahawks host the cardinals. And the SEAHAWKS will not have a hiccup against the cardinals else in Seattle. Although it won't be easy I like mccollum is doing the four nine and one cards and then Sunday night pierce will host the chiefs the bear seven and seven chiefs Ten and four. I think the bears do surprised everyone and win that game Monday night. The Vikings host the packers. This is another being important game and the Vikings can try to overtake the division late there and then finally I left it last asked because I'll be doing the pre game show Sunday Eleven or eleven thirty by the way. Tomorrow I'll be on noon to three three on the FM side. And then I think I'm on eleven. Am for raiders. pre-game on the flagship. But that's the raiders chargers and the chargers will bid farewell to to Carson. There's temporary home for three years already. Not a lot of fanfare at that. Twenty seven thousand seat soccer stadium. They're two and four. This year. The visiting team fans drown out the local fans. The the Vikings were just there and it was dominated and purple and it'll will be dominated by a raider fans as well and Philip Rivers said there have been some unique atmosphere is to say the least as far as it goes from a field standpoint and all of that. It's been good again. It's a short stint somewhere and it was new to all of us. It's been just fine. Well well not much I mean. The chargers are five and nine. And they're going to be the roommates on the FUTON. The chargers will be going into the new Hollywood park. stadium that the rams will run but they've dropped out of the last five that's their first losing season and under Anthony Lynn's tenure. The raiders already played their last game and Oakland. They're mathematically alive but they disturb trying to finish five hundred. Jon Gruden said we've been realistic all along about rebuilding the team. We didn't have have a lot of depth when the season began and we have lost a lot of good men it will be great to finish five hundred. Well could be the final home game for rivers as a charger. May Even for Melvin Gordon. They're both in the final years of their contracts and rivers is tone eighteen interceptions which is the most he's ever thrown thrown at this point in the season but getting after car. You Got Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa have combined for an eleven and a half sacks Derek Carr but lately the chargers pass rush has been non. Existent Darren Waller had his fourth one hundred yard. Receiving game for the raiders last week. Scott two thousand and one yards. He's joined Todd Christensen as the only tight ends to go over a thousand yards Chris and did it three times Casper never did they did a lot of running back then but Josh Jacobs will miss this week's game as he deals with the broken shoulder he tried to play through. It sat out two weeks weeks ago. Had A setback. And he's GonNa sit this again so we will see a lot of De'andre Washington but the raiders have socked in the second. Half they only have one touchdown on twenty eight second half drives in the last five games and Gruden said a lot of it is probably my fault for sure. You think I think you're right. I'm rick that'll come on.

"I, I know it. I just don't. The name of it. Sounds like it's he stuff. Roller skate music. The roller skate wheeling around. No, I don't roller skate in general just because, well, stopping is a problem starting as a pregnant a big thing on. I fall down really, really. Well, yeah my butt hurts. When I fall down. I felt on this depth last winter stupid, I've moved into a house has real goofy step. And I wanna pay attention to. That happens, but bruises at my age now right? So I talk about talking about revenue weekend. Again, I'm not bashing. Police when I say this, but everybody to set your crews chill out because they are everywhere today. They are out hot and heavy. It's a passive aggressive safety. I you know what any other time I don't even know what the coach this weekend on all this, and I would say because they're just outright, tickets left. And. Right. And it's just money, money money. And I know there's a lot of cars on the road at the cars are so much safer nowadays. I really get irritated with traffic tickets. I really speeding tickets, it bothers me not the guy going ninety and a fifty five. I get it. But it's just like I don't know I have a big problem. I, I have a lot of police friends, but, but then where do you draw the line? I know. And you know, rainy night debate this all the time on auto smarts. I don't even know what this, but again, what, what if the whole, here's here's the first one, I have a problem with, if it goes forty five to thirty five and other some officers listening, if you're sitting where. Where it goes. The thirty five one hundred yards in you have. No, right. Writing that ticket now you could sit here and do passive aggressive and say, well, he should know and see the sign, and blah, blah, blah, you know what you're doing. And I really think or state trooper if you're sitting there and here's twenty cars coming at you. How do you pick the one out of the crowd? You're the ticket I could not do your job, but there's so much worse. There's so much more crime. However, wanna say that more a lot crime. It's more hurtful to the human beings that the cars are safe from they've ever been if you'd think about it in nineteen seventy five the speed limit was seventy maybe seventy two this feeling with nine hundred seventy two was say, seventy we have bias, ply tires two lane roads drum brakes. No ABS. No airbags. The cars are safer than ever. That's why I think the speed limits should be more aggressive. But I've debated people on this before drivers drivers horrible drivers aren't any better. But, but again, we got a thin heard. Somehow with natural selection at it's is great. I mean, come on. If you can't drive I if you if you can't drive stay home this weekend. Whatever you don't drink and drive. I don't understand anyone gets a DUI anymore. I use lifting Uber like I got the app on my phone because some people are superman or women, as the case may be, and they can do any. Well, I, I gotta do some shameless plug here. So, but in a positive way, this Friday, I my first big Columbus show, it's over a ten pin alley, and you've been attempting Alliott. Yes. All places awesome in it. I mean they got the best game room the best bowling alley. What shortly after the money's Sarah's spent on that place is absolutely amazing. I mean, it's just it's like you're in Vegas, bowling alley. So a car show there for a six from five nine each on Friday and then Saturday morning. I'm doing a live remote on six ten WTVN at the.

"It's like, well, what do we want from these also maybe didn't even remember where? Should've went into custody in protocol possibly I think how about the Rams beat the saints. I mean, the Rams in that referendum that did not. There's two refs there that could call it pass interference. By the way, there's two of them looking in that area. So I don't think it's actually built benefits even though he's going to get the heat for this. There's two people that could have caused. So let's say the Rams in those two refs that clearly could have called that which seals the game for the saints. Let's assume they go in and score there. If they get that game over the Rams in those two refs beat the saints without the reigning offensive MVP being the number one option on the field. I don't know what's going on with him. I think McVay poonam I there they said that there's no injury report for Todd Gurley. He was staying loose over there. The announcers kept saying well, there has to be something more going on here. I think McVeigh sees that C J Anderson is literally in buddy second NFL week. He's in his second week as a running back. He's very fresh and. I think he pulled the trigger for CJ Anderson. But when it mattered it mattered in when they did they put in Todd Gurley. But for a lot of that game they hit girly bench. That was very drops early rattled early early. You wonder if he didn't he stomach bug or something anything about it? I mean played that much against Dallas either. He running off an injury, right. If you would have definitely thought for the Rams a win that game. They would have. Yes. Five one hundred yards rushing in the last two regular season games of the year two. That's what I'm saying. I would never thought they would have pulled that game off that amount of didn't really have like a thirty five yard Rushmore pulling away from everybody. Well, he did. So what are we talking about? I still I still I Riley. I'm sorry right with that offensive. I mean just the way that he advances. Wade he changes defenses, and he's not in the game sums up he's nicked up. I mean, he's got two weeks. Get ready for one hundred percent healthy. There's no way you're putting CJ and there's not over. That's what I think. Make. I don't think he's one hundred percent healthy week nineteen of the NFL. Nobody percent healthy except for CJ. Who has played? I think that was legitimately a decision by fucking McVeigh to play C J Anderson over Todd Gurley. I think that is the case not right. I mean, nobody's right. But just last week. He was pulling away with a knee brace on he was pulling away from people. I don't know. I don't know. He's still in their early in the game. So it can't be that hurt. I don't know, man. I think I was McVay pool in the trigger on C J Anderson is a fresh guy overtop of Todd Gurley. Now granted two weeks is an eternity in the NFL to get somebody healthy just like for the patriots. It happened with the the first round by. But I I don't know how they beat. I don't know how they beat the patriots. Oh, whoa. Whoa. Up the middle or one way to beat depreciates get in his kitchen. Getting this kitchen Dhammika SU there, you've got Aaron Donald there, you got outside Ed rauscher's getting his kitchen and he's a different quarterback only team to have. No give up. No sacks this week. It's neck is the real deal. He's the reason we're here sort of God. But also there we're just gonna -ssume that mcdaniels Bella check embrace eighty don't know that in dominating sue in Aaron Donald or on the other side. And this is I said this last week after I thought the dynasty was swinging towards the dynasty potentially being over last week against the chargers because everybody was on it the patriots and the patriots fans there. They just Bella Chuck, we'll figure it out. That's how they feel Bella chuckle figure. It out Brady will figure it out mcdaniels a figure it out. And it's hard not to agree with them. Like, yeah. I think I think they will fuck and figure it out especially with this two weeks pants. I read this morning the slant. Played a gronk one of the big third down conversions wasn't even in the playbook..

"Too. And this is your chance to celebrate along with look ahead to the future and even speculate. What still worries you and something crazy happened today? A mystic tweet which I happen to catch as soon as it came out. And I actually be Jeff Hartman to the punch like I texted him to that. Have you seen the tweet by lev bell? He's like no went to be doing now. And I'm like, well, he's spelled it wrong. But he's he said farewell Miami. So must mean something. So once again, it's going to be crazy in Pittsburgh. Like this whole season has been but it's up to one man. And the man is not change Connor that man Mike Tomlin to be able to. This whole thing out and keeping together with what is the best interest of this ballclub? And I definitely think that he can't. But you're already said, hey for the grade Sony, and let's break down a little bit more. So we have to go ahead and. And give ourselves Crowder valedictorian, and I have a feeling that we're probably on the same page once again, and I'll let you go ahead with the honors because I know where you're going and we don't even discuss this beforehand, but you're going to go to a little place eerie if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. Town James Connor the second year running back on pit just four straight one hundred yard game. I games another touchdown fifty six yards or the air. He's doing everything Levy on bell ever did and doing it in let Belle's absence in doesn't doesn't well for his huger. I'm talking about living on bell. So yeah, it's gotta be games. Connor. So five one hundred yard Dame's close to a thousand yards. If in fact, I believe he is over thousands combined yards the second leading rusher in the NFL. And if he has like a hundred sixty seven yards next week with Todd Gurley on the by he's he would actually go ahead of Todd Gurley for the rushing crown. That's how good this guy is looking Libyan bell had an excellent two thousand fourteen and this is what James Connor is rival rivalry rivalry. Okay. I can't even speak that that's a that's tough. That's like Arnold Palmer for me. I can't say Arnold Palmer. And I I guess I can't say rival rival or Kane told me out Tony. What's the word rivalry? Barreling. Rivaly miss is. I think it's rivaling. He's magical. What I know. No matter what it is. We feel good. And so, you know, it's planting simple James Carter has to be valedictorian. He had a fantastic game. But if we throw on a roll out there, there's a lot of guys I'm gonna give her role to very easy to go ahead on the offense of live of the entire offense of line. And that's what we normally do. But last week we said the offensive line where we singled out big Al villa Ueva because of the way he shutdown Myles Garrett. I think if is Shera mount this week to go on the other side to the right tackle and give the anger max filer from bloomsburg, a a big honor roll mentioned because for the second week in a row unit here his name yearly heard his name when they. Appraising the guy and you heard his name on the radio broadcasts because they wanna highlight how good he is. And I had a chance to listen to the first half, Dan, Fouts, not not a pleasure listening to e n and Dan, but you know, necessary evil when you're watching it on CBS with the second half. I had listened to it. And I listened to it with good old Bill ton and wolf, and it was just a pleasure, and they were really highlighted how good this guy is and I'm really excited, and if you're going to give him credit you have to go ahead and give credit to the man rumored to be the next coach of the Cleveland Browns. I don't think it's going to happen. But then other than like months back that guy can do wonders with players..

"Alongside Morrison and guest shell puzzle before we just like our next guest Jerry dulack before we get to the game. I want to ask you about the shoes. Ben Rothlisberger war today honoring the victims of the tree of life synagogue shooting. What would a decision to wear those shoes today? Well, he's just showing his support. You know, as a Pittsburgh for the families, you know, the victims and their families. You know, they've been obviously been asked repeatedly about it going back to when it occurred, you know, even more so last Sunday because you know after the game during the game and after the game against the Browns because it was only the day before. And I think it's just his way of showing support he'd said after the game, you know, the ravens had a moment of silence before the game for the tree of life of victims and their families and Ben said afterward acknowledged that after the game and called it a classy act. So, you know, I think as a leader of the team and a person who was obviously, very visible and popular in the community. You know, he just you know, he he feels you know obligated to do that. And and you know, there's a connection there too. What do you know of it or not? Michelle Rosenthal, who used to be the community relations director for the Steelers. And now kind of does the personal publicity for Brett Kiesel who is Ben's best friend. Her two brothers were killed in that attack. So Ben has a, you know, a little bit of a connection as do a lot of us who know Michelle, but then has a very close relationship there. And I think that's why he did it which is fantastic. So I just want to commend him for doing that before we get into the game. So the Steelers now four in a row, we the ravens twenty three to sixteen. What was your biggest takeaway from this victory tonight? Well, I think I think what they're doing. Now is they're starting to gain some traction on defense. You know, they're they're they're stopping the run. The ravens had some success running the ball in the first half daily. Ran the two times for four yards in the second half. They never had a run longer than ten yards. And that's that's now five games in a world where the Steelers having allowed more than eighty yards rushing in a game. While that's not exactly you know, the the greatest shutdown defense in NFL history. That is a big turnaround. That last year gave up to two hundred yard rush games and five one hundred yard rusher. They haven't allowed a one hundred yard rusher yet this year. They're secondary is not giving up the big plays since that. Last Baltimore game win. Baltimore won. And they had a thirty three yard and a seventy one yard or the longest completion since then there's only been one longer than than twenty eight yards and that was a forty three yarder to so in during this four game win streak so state tightened up on defense. And that's the biggest thing I am seeing happening and James Caan. Or of course, that's four straight one hundred yard games for him. He leaves the NFL with five one hundred yard games yet. Another twenty five yard run. That's eight runs of twenty yards along with that leaves the NFL, and I will point up Jeff that that is five more runs of twenty yards or longer than Levy on bell had all of last season. So his contribution, certainly. You can't be underestimated. It's been it's gonna big difference. And you combine that their ability to run the ball with the defense being a lot tighter. That that those are the biggest those are the biggest things that are happening right now. Get back to James Connor and leaving Bellevue. You mentioned the improvement of defense. And that's what I've seen just watching them places. We know Ryan shazier went out last year. The defense guy never recovered even this year. Start the season more of guys just growing up and playing better in their roles. Have they found different players to play that middle linebacker position. Or is it just finally kind of gain their guys to play to the level. They expect. Yeah. It's it's a little all that. I think what it is is, you know, it's just not one person that you know, they brought in Jon Bostick. The free agency. And he's been a nice addition. You know, he's not Ryan shazier by any stretch, he's not a dominant player, but he's been solid. He's an aggressive player, but they use a lot of dime defense. And what I think it is. It's guys getting comfortable with what they're trying to do and getting comfortable in their roles or not doing it with anyone guide are actually doing it with different schemes. And I think that is just taking a taking some time. That's what happened last year after Ryan shazier got hurt. You know, it was too. They had no answer. Whether in personnel warned schemes, and you're trying to do it. You know toward the end of the season. Well, they've had to hold off season to prepare in terms of personnel and packages how they wanted to attack attack not having ryen shaves here. And do they miss some? Oh, absolutely. But I think it's just getting some millions. What it is. They want to do. And who they're doing it with that. That has that has really helped. So let's go back to that offense, James Carnell first Steeler to have over. Thousand yards and ten touchdowns through through eight games. When the late on bell thing happened to Sears off its alignment were were very outspoken about how well they James Connor would work in this role is the lead back has it surprised you to see him excel so much so early in his career being the league guy. I don't think there's any question about it. I think that surprised me I think it surprised them. And even though, you know, the players to sit there and say, well, we know he was good running back. Yeah. But it's taken some time to prove that. And I don't think anybody on that team would have thought he'd have five one hundred yard rushing games at the halfway point leading the AFC and rushing lead in the AFC and scrimmage yards leading the NFL in one hundred yard games leading the NFL and twenty yard runs. The guy is ten touchdowns already yet. It receiving touchdown today there nobody in that organization that would ever thought James CONNER could do that this quick and be that productive. So it's been a pleasant pleasant surprise. And a welcome addition because of everything that's going on. Well, we gotta ask about lady on bell. Obviously Mike Tomlin today made some comments about him. And he's gotta come back. I think at some point if he wants to be afraid you're next year. How's that gonna play in the locker room? We does come back at this point. I wouldn't play him. If I was Pittsburgh. I don't know why you would stop James Connors run right now. I mean, I will we'll we'll have to see how it's going to play out. I will say this. You know, the players coaches on the front office even us in the media. You know, they're tired of talking about it. They don't even think about it. Lester asked and it's gotten to the point with even with the local media that. You know as long as they're winning and James Connors doing what he's doing. It's it is, you know, they're not viewing levian bail was a guy who's coming in to to make them better. I it it's more like, okay. He's you know, he's on injured reserve, and when he gets off you don't have a nice don't have a nice depth chart at running back. But there's no way after missing two training camps now and missing ten games on belt. If people think he's gonna come in and be two thousand fifteen Levy on bell. They're sadly mistaken because even last year after missing all of training camp. He was in two thousand and fifteen on bell. He won't even be two thousand seventeen Levy on bell by by his standards had a very average year. Yeah, he had all those yards. But don't forget you. He touched the ball more than any other player in the league. And behind the arguably the best offensive line in the league in an offense. That features Ben Rothlisberger and Antonio Brown to red lead or. A players that defensive coordinator is have to worry about the guy averaged three point nine yards carrying his longest run was twenty seven yards. That's not exactly a difference maker or rain. I'm not dismissing Lebanon tells talent, but he James Connors production or for outweighs Levy on bells production last year. I I agree there. All right. Got you more questions for you. You mentioned Tonio Brown. It seems that big band in Abia finally figure things out after kind of a sluggish start to the season. Hey, have you seen the effort from them to really try really from big church? Try get Brown the ball and in situations where he can use his legs and then run for touchdowns. And and you know, what I think Jeff. Production. Wasn't there rolling year? Antonio Brown was the most targeted receiver in the league and is still one of the most Pargeter receivers. So the the attempts to get him the ball were there, and whether it was partly been salted. He wasn't very accurate early in the year or in Tonio Brown wasn't gaining the separation. He would like because of the time he missed in a pre season. It wasn't from Ben not wanting to get him the ball because that was that's always his objective. Put the ball in his hands. And you know, we're not you know, he's he's not having a ton of catches juju. Smith Schuster leads the team in receptions in Tonio Brown had five today. But if you saw the move he put on there aren't many guys. Catch the ball and make that quick lube. Like he did pinned on the sideline in and go in for the touchdown. There's very few guys in the league who could do that. And that's Antonio Brown. And that's why they like to get the ball in his hands in spite all the bracketing he receives and and and you know, that the safeties rotating so his side, you know, he's still manages to to get open and Ben wants to try to get him the ball as he has since since game one. And here no time to rest for the Steelers. The Panthers come to town Thursday night. They're week four preseason opponent for the last fifteen years Panthers are playing some good ball series. Played some good ball where we're looking forward to Thursday night. Jeff one thing the Panthers play good ball. But they played good ball at home. They struggle on the world and the Steelers, you know, have been the opposite. You know, they they're ten. That's the levee road games. They've actually struggled more at home. And they have won the rope. But. Carolina's a very up and down team at unpredictable team. But it's a short work week form in the Steelers would put themselves in good position at five two and one after their starts. So it should be. It should be a good game for Roper primetime. And I actually think it might be a little bit of a high scoring game. Like, I said the Panthers are struggling on the road. So I would think I would think would be favorites from anywhere to three to four points. No, one says no to primetime shoot out. We appreciate you. Joining us tonight in quick turnaround have fun Thursday. All right, Jeff. Nice chat with you. Was Jerry dulack covers the Steelers for the Pittsburgh post is that celebrate fall..

"Truly is the real deal. M's onery here, bud. Surreal deal M squared M squared zone. Now coming up later. We it does sound like that. We are going to potentially have the pride of Detroit Catholic central former NFL D lineman, Mr. Mike Martin coming up later in the five o'clock hour, so how about in the interim it's opened up the phones seven three four nine eight ten fifty seven three four nine hundred ten fifty kind of feel like as I'm sitting here in this time. I got gotta pull out the Jamie Morris. I guess question of the day is how confident are you in the in the game on Saturday? The I think there are a lot of people that you know, you look at the the rankings were number six. Michigan stays number twenty four. You know, we've improved significantly as the as the weeks have gone on from, you know, from where we started at against Notre Dame that offensive line has gun real good. I mean real. Oh, good mean? Ed Warner we if you missed this morning show. We played audio from Ed Warriner and the the man needs to himself multiple extensions. Just Sonya right now. The man needs multiple extensions. Keep them here Medical Sciences to find a way to make sure that they stay around and Dan Brown as well. So that we can keep on this. Great train that we got going on right now. Yeah. No. He he has been doing a great job. And like you said, MS I think I think Michigan fans are are confident. Yeah. But like Angelique kinda looted to were were quietly confident right now. Because I think. Some Michigan fans are a little nervous that we've had this. I felt this way before I felt strong. I felt confident going into this game. And then I've had my heart broken a few times. So I don't wanna I don't want to set myself up for it like that. So they're coming in quietly confident exactly I mean, it's rabble as robbery game. You know, this is even though the. Is it? I've mentioned this on many shows. I've mentioned it on on our Sunday show the the Sunday morning playground before that you throw the record. But at record book out the window. These teams could be went wanting could be winless Yellen could be undefeated. But I'll tell you at the end the day at scoreboard could read twenty five twenty four or somewhere that close nature where you know. Th the these two teams bring out the best in each other. They bring out the best play each other just like when Michigan plays Ohio State. They bring out the best in each other. So I wanna know in all seriousness where do you the fan where do you where where are you on this on this this train that we call the Michigan? Michigan state rivalry game. Coming up on Saturday where where do you sit Matt? Be honest. Trust me, this is a as I say as at one gym says this is a no is a judgement free zone. Oh, yeah. I'm just trying to I again, I am confident. But it's it's a question of how confident 'cause you know, I've had some of my friends who say, oh, I think we're gonna see one of those old like Charles Rogers when he was at Michigan say put the forty nine three on or something I've had a few friends who really think that. That's that's what we're going to see. And I'm not quite that confident. But I could if I I expect to double double digit win. Okay. I again, I think Angelique said twenty six sixteen somewhere around there. Because again, I don't think it's going to be that low scoring of affair of a fourteen to ten game or you know, ten to seven anything like that. I think there's gonna be some points scored. So I would say I'm I'm feeling confident where yeah, I. I see double digit win. Okay. Okay. I mean, don't get me wrong. I I've I've got a lot of faith in the wolverines going into every game. I really do. Yes. That even includes the game at the very end of the year. I've got a lot of faith in them. They've improved significantly year in weekend and week out. But I mean, it doesn't really matter. What? You know, what Vegas puts out? I think they open the the line or the spread up at at what six and a half or seventy nine. I saw when I was looking, but what was their last seven right now, and it opened up at. Reset one point ten and a half points in a drop back down tonight and a half rape before. Kick-off? I was gonna say, I know, I'm I'm happy that we're not double digit favorites. Yeah. This week. 'cause that's one thing. Michigan state, usually, I don't I don't know. I'm not that big of a better. I don't know exactly what it is. But their record when they're double digit underdog is surprisingly get it is they do very well when they are big time big time dogs and game. So I again, I'm I'm feeling I'm feeling confident as I'm feeling confident. But again, most people feel confident going into last year fo confident going into a lot of these Michigan Michigan state game. Exactly it. Big question. I wanna ask you as well. You know, Michigan state top rushing defense in the country. Michigan has grind Hayden is. I'm not a steak, and he is now seventh in the nation in yards per rush or something of that nature from not mistaken. Do you think Michigan this Michigan exposed Michigan state? I think and I think so I I also think that there again, I don't have all their stats up in front of me. I think that number of them being the the number one rush defense by a abrasive. Never get margin is kind of skewed based on the teams that they were playing. And also the fact that some of those teams that northwestern game. Northwestern even attempted to run the ball. I think they just threw it every every time because that's how Thorson was was killing them that game. I think Michigan. Not lining them up. Smacking him in the mouth is going to really I don't think that that's going to be how we're going to be effective running the ball. I think we could be stubborn and eventually wear down that way. But I think with Shay having his athleticism again us throwing the ball a little bit not necessarily down the field. But just throwing the ball a little bit. I think is going to open up a lot of those running lanes for Kron Higdon. So again, not your traditional line them up power is smack in the mouth run downhill on them. But I think Michigan is going to run the ball effectively either out of the spread or out of the pistol, look, which I thought we ran the ball very effectively last week. And I think that that's where you're gonna see Michigan effective in the run game. But yeah, I do I do think Michigan is going to keep that trend going. We've been averaging well like two to twenty on the ground. I believe so. Yeah, I don't know if we'll necessarily get up to two that number but between one hundred and fifteen two hundred yards. Title would be would be my guess. And I'm I'm really hoping I think Iran can keep history gone this week. And I think if he does I mean that hopefully, we'll get him talked about a little bit more in those Doak Walker and some of those other categories, which I think he he deserves to be at least in that conversation. Yeah. I know he had the he was a preseason Doak Walker award nominee, obviously with the preseason almost every every at least one running back per per school usually gets involved with it or maybe five or six per conference. If not Macron he didn't he's got five one hundred yard rushing average this season all four an all four big ten conference games this year. He's got he's had one hundred him down for people Jones are tied for the team lead in touchdowns with six me. I I'll be honest with you. I like Ganj league. Get mentioned I'm really curious to see how this defense is gonna play out especially with I don't wanna say dual threat quarterback, but a mobile quarterback that can extend plays. Like, you're you're thinking about it. You're really looking almost had a carbon copy was shape pairs and could be as far as someone that can extend plays with his legs. So I'm kind of curious how exactly the wolverine defense is going to work around that. It's gonna be tough. I mean, we saw there were a lot of times last year where he did kill us with his legs. I don't think he's quite as fast, as you know, maybe more of that little more prototypical pocket passer that you would see out of quarterback who can make plays with his with his legs. You know? I don't I don't necessarily worry about him scampering off for an eighty yard a yard run. But again, those third and threes third and four that's that's where he killed us last year, and they aren't afraid to have designed draw designed runs for him. That was a big thing that that hurt us last season. Him. I think we'll be do a good job of being able to keep them bottled up and keep them in the in the pocket. I'm not worried about him him getting away. But the thing he does. He does have a pretty good arm. Yeah. Guy. Felton, Davis's is big. And can make some plays. That's if anything I think that that's their one way that they could beat us tomorrow is if they dare excuse me on Saturday is if that connection, and that those two really got really got going, and I really think that that's the only way that they have a chance beaten us. Trust me. I'm kind of hoping that I I'll be honest. I kinda wanna fast forward. I want to get to the game tomorrow myself to really really do. We all do. Yeah..

"Now. Yeah. I was just wanted to say you did a great job at Mississippi State. We need to turn right back out for South Carolina because they're already prediction, South Carolina's gonna beat us at home. They're not going to walk into our house and beat his everybody needs to Pat Cloverfield. Everybody needs to turn it up for Mississippi State to South Carolina. Because they got a very young quarterback in the best way to make it a whole lot of noise even during timeouts. Make a lot of noise. That's a great idea. Really appreciate it. And like I said it it makes a difference. You got a guy like Josh Allen? That's coming off the edge and a predictable pass situation. The fans in it's very very loud. They have a hard time listening to the snap count. You have Josh common. It makes a difference is affects them. What did they say? He had five today at six or seven. Yeah. Mm fifteen overall. Starts. Yeah. This is from Sean at UK sports network riding into praise. The work of coach Eddie grand with the offense shot says love being able to demoralize t the ball. Cody, totally negated Mississippi states pass rush by running over the you're up it's talked about but a little bit about the plan. And what you're doing with your, Tom? Can you read that again? I mean, this is Kentucky we're talking about right here. You know, what we're used to just throwing the ball around a little bit. That takes take me six years to get people. Appreciate that. So orderly, Sean. Yeah. And we're still working on it. But. The run game statistics are the biggest indicator an SEC football. It's imperative that you can run the football. It's imperative that you can stop the run the numbers are. It's just a drastic difference in in the outcomes. When you're talking about outrushing somebody by fifteen yards. Let alone outrushing on by fifty yards. Seventy five one hundred yards astronomical the difference in the percentage of win losses with back. So it's always been important of always preached that. And you're right. It is it is nice to see that. And it's good to see us play quality football team. Like Mississippi State in in the second half of be able to be so physical in control that clock moved the chains in and win in a strong fashion. Deputy gay plant coming into this game. What I've noticed is. You're not having to it seems batches much personnel for personnel that you could leave groups of guys on the field for longer stretches with your defense. That is true, Tom, we have several packages. But it's not as drastic is it's been that's correct. People more more straight up than we've ever had in in. Obviously, we have some liquid packages in different things. But but but not as drastic as it's been passed. Speaking of packages, what guy that you. Brought it last week made a couple of huge plays the ladder. What being a interception that led to really the clinching score Terrell Asia advanced field, Ohio. I got probably a lot of people had to go to the program to find out who that was number twenty three. A little bit about what he's doing for you. Yeah. Tyrel really stepped in Jordan Griffin was dinged up from the week before. So he got an opportunity just playing Don packages. And so he only had six snaps, but one of them was super important, and you had an opportunity for big interception and took it down and set up thick the score to put us up twenty one seven at that point bending score to play later, but you know, how many opportunities how many times have you been here. You know, somebody happy ability to step up and make an interception to possibly close out a game. And with dropped it or not made to play. It was really nice to see a young guy step in there and make a great play on the ball. Finish. It. What the interception. Get a good return set us up to put them away. At that point. We are halfway home on this edition of.

"Five forty five five forty four left in the half the Bearcats trailing twenty one seven after twenty four yard touchdown run by Michael Warren. That was a nine play eighty yard touchdown drive for the Bearcats took four minutes and ten seconds off the clock. Cincinnati paying tribute to the two thousand eight Orange Bowl team today and one of the best defensive players from that great Cincinnati season is currently the defensive backs coach for the Ohio bobcats the spent came to Cincinnati from the Columbus area had a great bearcat career with twelve interceptions putting a memorable one in that big win over undefeated. Rutgers. In two thousand six at Newport stadium. Eighty four yard pick six Mike Teel prepare cat's upset the seventh. Right. Scarlet knights Gelo Smith settled spend a little bit of time to the NFL with the lions yet again is now the defensive backs coach for a high. Oh here comes the kickoff by Ryan Jones taken at the four yard line by Ohio. They break a tackle at the twenty four. There's a penalty flag down kicker. Ryan Jones, eventually makes the tackle on the return, man. Kyla nelson. Couple of flags down in the same area. So prefer presumably the same call here. Get it. Dan, the difference on that drive was a bear cats on first down. They got eight yards four yards. They had a fifteen yard penalty on first now twenty four yard TD. They played well on I during the return holding return to your number thirty six. Ten yard. Owl down. So it would have been a great drive start for the Bob cats, but the penalty on Austin Clack is going to wipe out a lot of that return yardage for Kyle Nelson and the bobcats will scar from inside their own twenty as a result five thirty seven. And if you're Cincinnati, you're thinking three and out here, get football back and get some points before. Ball is spotted on the near hash at the nineteen yard line. Work will start in the shotgun with AJ let light up a couple of yards behind two receivers out to the left one to the right? Brooke is ready claps? The hands catches the snap hands. It off big hall behind the left tackle for lattes. And he will run to the twenty eight or nine yard pick up before Brian right makes the stop that's gonna make it really hard to get a three and out when you did nine and a half on your first down Carey. So that's been a success. The success was a bear cats were on first down on their touchdown drive. Ohio university's done a great job on first down all day to day, poppy, white and Andrew liar out to the right? Cameron Odem out to the left second down in one four Ohio leading Cincinnati twenty one seven here comes applets up the middle. Oh, no. It's the quarterback. Mark Heathrow's gets it to that whole that will run for the first down once again, the Bearcats and had a chance at tackling. The quarterback Rourke for a big loss. He stayed on his feet completed a pass. Now there's a penalty flag back at the ten yard line. Yeah. They're talking about roughing the passer and officials are talking about it, which means they're not sure that was brought back there. How did he get on speed again? Here we go personal foul. Roughing the passer. The ninety six. Previous automatic first down. Wow. I mean, let's give some credit to Nathan Rourke who's been able to keep his feet twice. And make play. Cincinnati first game. There is no yards. First morning. Rourke has been like a ghost. They see him, but they can't seemingly can't touch him and get him down. Well that played great by they had the running back covered. And then they had the quarterback, but they couldn't get wrote down. I intend for the Bob gates up to the forty nine yard line. As a result of the past and the penalty from a pistol formation work is ready. Junior quarterback waiting for the snap. Catches the ball. Turns left hands it to oleck jump cut. It. The line of scrimmage makes it down to the bearcat forty five that is offense lineman slam him from behind to propel Aladdin additional two yards down to the Cincinnati. Forty two yard line. Late penalty flag comes in from the sideline here. And I'm wondering if it's another sideline infraction by the Bearcats. They were already warned had nothing to do with the pushing on the field. Guy from there would never make that call. Here comes the call. And I'm guessing it's a sideline infraction. Unsportsmanlike conduct. Cincinnati assistant coach. Penalty automatic first down. Yup. Knew it had something to do with the bench guy guy over here. Right on the sideline doesn't make a call on the field. Forty yards away thirty five yards away. The drive started at the nineteen yard line. And thanks in large part to thirty yards worth of penalties. Bob cats, have it first and ten at the Bearcats twenty eight they lead twenty one seven Gorkhas ready and a pistol formation one receiver to each side of the formation. Roar claps the hands catches the ball hands to olack pitches. It back Brooke. Wanted to throw a flea flicker pass scrambles to the left and throws it out about good discipline in the secondary percents. It atty. And now a late penalty flag? Great job by Terrell Gilbert, catching up with that. Personal foul. Roughing the passer. Automatic. Throw white. Correction regarded half the business. Automatic first down. To roughing passers at an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the bench on this. Dr. That is self destruction. I intend. Bob cats at the bearcat fourteen yard line. That would have the distances. You heard was a fourteen yard penalty. So fifteen yard fifteen yard fourteen yard, forty four total. Just where the football here. Wow. We officials had it. Right. So it will be I intended to fourteen yard line. Eight penalties ninety five yards in the first half on Cincinnati. Cincinnati calls a timeout. Charge timeout Cincinnati their first of the hat. This'll be a thirty second timeout. Four zero six left in the half. Ohio Twenty-one Cincinnati seven. This Dr has simply been atrocious from a disciplined standpoint for the Bearcats. Luke pickled out walking away from his own players and coaches to talk to the officials. My goodness. And coach fickle continues to talk to the referee and another of the officials looks like he is in a give me an explanation mode. Took the headphones off and spent quite a bit of time with the officials after calling that time out. Ohio has it. First and ten at the bearcat fourteen yard line raucous set. Double tight ends in one on each side of the formation roared handed off to oleck charging into the middle of the line is stacked up and he has dropped. It's a one yard gain. And there's no penalty flag that Gilbert going toe to toe out there with wide receiver. And that's poppy young and the referee stepped in immediately. Second down and nine at the Cincinnati thirteen yard line. The puck is running with three thirty seven left in the first half. Let lines up to the left of the quarterback. Nathan roar. White out to the left side near the numerals. Lots of empty space on that side of the field. Rourke hands it off to a latte, and again tried to charge right up. The gut is stacked up near the line and tackled after what yard game. That much it again mentioned as a couple of times, and certainly would have liked to have the three and albumin Bearcats. We won't even go back to the penalty. Big third down. Here. You want to force a field. Forget a pack. See how conservative Ohio University Ohio is going to go with four wide receivers to to each side of the formation and they bring in their number two running back me irons third down at eight in Barakat territory at the twelve yard line. Ohio up by two touchdowns crowd. Trying to make a difference particularly to students sexual jobs. Drops back to throw. Time day. You could see Roark Tryon quickly to get the way again. Flapping his hands really quick trying to signal to the center yet me the football, and they were a little bit late during that. Brett trowel is the center his father played at Nebraska. For Frank solich. So father and son play for the same head coach. Balls in the middle of the field at the seventeen yard line. Third out in thirteen. Twenty four left and a half. Three receivers go out to the right one that allowed poppy white the middle of the three receivers out to the right? Brooke is ready runs? A quarterback draw can the Bearcats get them down inside the fifteen ten slides away from a tackle. He's close to the first down Cortes. Brought brings him down. Looks like it's about a half yard short. But what a run Nathan Rourke. Be a half yard shy. Think you'll see Ohio University. Dislike this clock down to one second. Call timeout figure out are they going to go through on fourth and one or they're gonna kick. My guess is they're going for ROY gets up limping ever so slightly, but he's going to stay in the game. Twitter league gonna burn some time here. Twelve on the play clock. One thirty three left in the half, Ohio leading Cincinnati twenty one to seven four th and one at the Bearcats five yard line. Frank solich wants a time out Rourke hasn't called yet. And now he's head coach. Well. First time out of the habit. This'll be a thirty second timeout. Well, I can see how Nathan roar direction. It will be a fulltime out was chosen fulltime out. I can see how Nathan rock at twenty one touchdown runs and five one hundred yard rushing performances last year. We'll take a break with one twenty three left in the half. Twenty one seven in favor of Ohio..

It's a pistol formation for quarterback Nathan work with olack lined up behind double tight ends in for the Bob cats. The ball is on the right hash shotgun, snap Rourke hands. It off to let and Clements takes them on in the hall and makes the snob and the twenty one yard line of five yard pickup for AJ oleck up. This is all wrong in the left side. Good blocking up that upfront that time by Ohio and all that takes advantage of it and gets five Clements comes up knocking down, but he got a digital yard by following forward. So he has an hell as we speak, and it is rumored and only that by local CB local CBS news local affiliate, but the man dressed in business attire, first instance, it appeared to be maybe a domestic situation ROY sought out a woman who is a woman dead. There's two men dead, which includes the shooter and two people are wounded you see. Bill. It's amazing because in every situation like this. Of course, everybody tries to outdo everybody else. And there's so many different reports in this as well. I'm seeing one report that says four people were injured the shooter is alive and in custody, a mess. They consider in custody dead. You know? It just it's amazing to me. The mayor John cranley, and I spoke to him off the air about ten thirty five am this morning. He told me don't use my name yet. But the shooter is dead. And then the chief of police came on about five minutes ago included, a two-minute statement in which you said the shooter is deceased because three or four in uniform Cincinnati police respond to the lobby for those who may not be aware that the Bank is a huge area fifth third bank's national Bank, but their headquarters to Cincinnati, and they have they have armed in uniform security guards and also on thunk square. They have position on any one day in uniform Cincinnati point. And so he happened to pick an area in which they were doing individuals with guns. He used a small used a small handgun perpetrate this offense. And whether it was domestic violence or crazy. The chief of police Elliott ISAACs just set that we're not sure, but there was a person a woman who appeared to be targeted. But that is preliminary information the city right now is on lockdown. I mean all hell's breaking loose because films like the heart of the tristate and something like this has never happened. You always here. I've never happened. Cincinnati before Cincinnati might have fifty or sixty murders per year. The generally located in about three or four zip codes. So it's extremely safe. In fact, Hamilton county outside the city of Cincinnati. Might have one or two murders per year. And so it's extremely unusual. And if someone had to take a worse area to conduct an offense that would be on fountain square inside fifth third thank lobby that is like total lockdown area. And right now the city is locked down there. Encourage people not to come because it's a massive punching. And so those also may not be aware graders is a greater is like an iconic ice cream brand. And one of the shooting victims was inside the graders. And another one was lying on the street a fifth and walnut. Downtown cincinnati. The videos extremely dramatic my favorite ice cream, by the way. Raiders as long as as long as we have that with the ribs. It's good combination. I it says wonderful and at this point. We it doesn't appear to be a shooting of a terrorist nature, it appears to be a targeted shooting, but the chief of police said that that's culinary information. And so those who fifth third Bank. There's a large tower associated with fifth third. Thank goodness. Maybe fifty stories tall, which is a butts found spurring straight up and the shooter once on the loading dock of the main lobby, which is the worst place a shooter to go. The police chief said it doesn't appear to be a robbery. It doesn't appear to be in on Robert doesn't appear to be terrorists. And so it appears to be this gentleman in a suit sought out someone to kill and then other people got involved, and then the police I'd say within thirty seconds. They were in the law and. Shooters dead. They put him down. We're talking to Bill Cunningham from seven hundred w l w and he's also here on eight fifty WTO Sunday nights from ten to one. He's in Cincinnati. Now, of course, and the reports that you're giving or quite different. So I'm glad we're getting updates on this. So was the shooting inside the Bank as well. As on the loading dock. Yeah. The loading dock the shooting began their learning. Doc off to the side of the building. I walked past it. I'm not going into the loading dock, but I do business a fifth third Bank. That's my Bank, and I go downtown every now, and then and in order to do some business off to the side of the building a loading dock the county against the street level think goes down a level in which they're up space for like two large trucks to pull in an order. I'm sure to load up the building or take away money, whatever it is. And it's extremely busy area. You're talking on any one day and the weather and so tiny right now. It's eighty one degrees that would be thousands of people working and involved. And so the shooter picked an area to go into an loading dock, which is also well secured because I would assume that's where the money comes and goes off to the side of the Bank, not on found squirt self, but but it's off to the side which is walnut street. And so when you walk on a nice sidewalk, you look to your right? It's a typical loading dock in which there's room for. A couple talks to pull down below grade and going load, and then and then pull away. So what does she there dead was somehow, and you'd have to know how to go from the loading dock to the main Bank? I would not know, nor would you rich. How do I get? So he walked down below grade to the loading dock to the loading area. He then had to make his way up steps about twenty feet up to go into the main lobby of the Bank, which is where he was killed and more other people were shot and killed. I assume that graders was might be a hundred yards away from the main lobby somebody in there would have had been shot and then make their way out the door to get the greater. There's another body it fits in walnut. Which again, maybe hundred yards away found squares like pavers is like bricks, but they used Tyler Davidson fountain in the middle with Lee, huge message boards and big screen TV's on the Bengals play or the reds player. There's a con. Insert the big screen drive in movie theaters on square, so hundreds of people will so up. It's one of the ice skating. Rink is every winter time for kids and families go, and so if you were to pick a worse area to perpetrate a crime will you could not come out alive. It would be fountain square and on top of that. It would be thank on square on top of that. It'd be the lobby a fifth third Bank on town square with his arm security guards inside the Bank, and the lobbyists self is huge. I mean, I've been in. There might be fifteen or twenty large windows on the first floor the fifth third Bank tower that goes up as I said forty to fifty stories tall. And so the idea that somebody could perpetrate a crime in that area and get away would be non existent. Almost like homicide suicide because there's no way somebody with a gun and shoot somebody fountain square and the fifth third Bank lobby and actually have a reasonable expectation of actually getting out of there alive. That's just that's just not possible. Just unbelievable now I'm seeing four dead, including the shooter several injured they are classifying it as an active shooter situation. It is under control right now. They've opened up the building chief of police at eleven thirty am they're going to stop the lockdown, and there's gotta be a couple of thousand people working on in the fifth third Bank. It's a huge tower. And they locked it down beginning at nine o'clock in the morning the shelter in place and locked doors and go into the number one is is is flight number two is high number three is is fight. And and they have a couple of thousand people that I'm sure terrorized with what they're saying. And real soon the active shooter and that stopped about nine ten AM when the shooter was killed. And how many times you were shot? The police chief said twenty minutes ago, just three or four in uniform police officer shooting out and the reporter asked you a question. Could it have been a suicide answer is? No, it's possible. I guess he could have put the gun head. But that there was a large volley of shots fired that killed the shooter. Unbelievable Bill needless to say thoughts and prayers for the city of Cincinnati. Because this is not something, you know, we also hear about. We don't get. It'd be like this happening in West Palm Beach. If you like what happened in here in West Palm Beach impossible Cincinnati. This is never happened before I live my life, and Cincinnati, and I cannot recall shooting on square in my life. Which is what I'm saying? I just turned seventy years old. There's not been shooting up to my knowledge, I recall when my life. So the happens there is like unbelievable truly well. Listen, thanks for the latest update Bill. Do appreciate it. Listen to your show, of course, here every Sunday from ten to one. And I guess you're the same times on us. Yup. Yup. He's on the western edge of the eastern time zone stops in Indiana. So we're we're at the same time zone as Florida. And I I have a second home in Florida. And I love the caters in the Seminoles. Well, that's good. That's good to hear. Hopefully, we can get together. Next time you come down. God bless America. Give my best to Paul Mason. Thank you. Thanks for your time. I do appreciate it. A lot of people said you can't have a morning show. That's informative and entertaining at the same time. A lot of people were wrong. They named last resort weird. Florida morning.

"I just don't see how he can live up to the expectations, talented, very polish, young man. But when I look at him a c. Reggie Bush, and when I say that I said guy that his entire college career, he, he was able to circle the defense, he was able. He's a cutback runner. He does in listen to him a couple of days ago. Talk to Sean O'Hare LT and what I wanted to hear. They ask them about, but you know, what does he like to do? What's his preference? Does he like to run over a defender when he preferred to Juku? And he said, I have no preference to me if you. Accent course Linter for net. If you ask that to Zico Elliot, they're gonna step on somebody's chest. He's a big man that has a small man's game. We make a lot about his legs. And when I look at a lot of his highlight, I said, God that when somebody's on the track, he jumps over them and that's something that you know he's going to have to be careful because I played with Todd heap and I don't know how many times I can count. Daddy landed on his head Don Beebe style. So he's gonna come out like that. If somebody's gonna take his legs on, he's gonna learn that lesson. But in LT tried to protect them and he said, you'll, it becomes a time in short yardage where straight ahead know fare dodging when you got to put your foot in the ground, you gotta get that yard. And I just don't know how he's gonna say he's going to get tested early. He's going to get the Jacksonville Jaguars and he's going to be used to being able to certainly defense in collapse count with like on a hill fellow. And I love tovia Smith. He's a guy that has that hit stick. He's a guy that plays when a motor that defense has attitude, and I don't know if he can be at every down back straight up because that's a skill that you have to learn. You have to learn how if you're not fit. Running back how to try and get defenders leaning how to juke them, but then put your foot in the ground and get them off balance. And I don't know if he's a bell skill in college because he was able to just outrun everybody. Well, I agree with you. I definitely think he's over hype number one because I think the giants taking him number two. When you're starting quarterback thirty seven years old coming off a horrible season and you. Right. Exactly. You've got this draft where you could get draft a franchise quarterback. We think I thought that was over hype. Number one. Number two. I'm with you on the college game, and I know they stack the box against them at Penn State, but some of his games against Rutgers fourteen carries thirty five yards. Rutgers gave up one hundred eighty two yards a game on the ground. I don't care. They're stacking the backs. They're Rutgers and you should run over twenty Indiana twenty carries fifty six yards. He only have five one hundred yard games his last year. You look at his ego Elliott. He had twelve hundred games in thirteen games, four net half four hundred yard games in seven games. I just looked at that and I was baffled that so many football guys who obviously know the game. We're just going Gaga over his combine performance. I'm like, that's nice, but that's not football, you know. And so I do think he's over. A high bar to you think it was because of how he was coached? You think it's because of our using his like you look at his legs like that guy. He's got over there, but I understand it's bide like Tarzan, but you gonna play like Jane right now. You can run do Dover or mentality, and his mentality is to try to run around and you set a run through you. When you look at that Lynn Ford for Tate, you look at that Zico Elliott. You saw grown man going physical things, and now he's gonna have to just because he's not going to be able to run everybody..

You saw grown man doing physical things and now he's going to have to just because he's not going to be about run everybody. Yes, the age is going to be set. You don't get faster in the NFL. Everybody else does, right? That's how much does it help that the giants have other weapons offensively will that aid in his. I think that gives them a light box because Odell Beckham that you're gonna have to be able to keep somebody over the top to protect rodale, but they're gonna. They're gonna put him in a phone booth and they're going to dare him to be, and he's gonna say, okay, come in between these tackles and meet me there, and he's going to have to change that narrative. Because when I see that and I know every other defense player is watching, they're looking there because. Now he's height. He's the number twelve raw pick and we can't compare him to the bean Sony, Michelle, the best running back that came out because I felt like he was full. You saw what he did and some of those championship games averaging almost seven yards a carry against Alabama, which is pretty much a pro team and itself, you know, but he's going to be forced to try and do some things early on and he's gonna have to make sure he stays within itself. And I don't know if they don't have a great backup either. I mean, how old is Jon Stewart? Like seventy five years old guy and his ankles hold up last Prec. They're already giving him days off. You had a little smile when allies name was mentioned. Do you think the giants made a mistake taking a running back with that second pick? I think if they don't win a championship, not playoff, they don't wanna championship. Then you gotta consider data opportunity have a smooth transition from one hall of fame quarterback until another quarterback, and that's why I say saquon is going to be measured against what. Sam darnold does. Sam darnold becomes the start. You have had opportunity to get your franchise quarterback and you passed on him because you believe that had one or two years left. Are we believe in that Davis Webb that you talk about being in quarterback, hell, bent stuck in the middle. You know, I've been there. I've been there. I don't wanna go down the list 'cause I wanna hurt he and my fourteen. It was. It was tough sledding to try and win a championship without a great quarterback. And I think if you axe anybody in the league or you pull some of the players, if you ask them, where's align his career allies, maybe a top fifteen, maybe fifteen best quarterback in the league. Right now, I'm trying to be cost, and we've been making a lot of excuses about a lot of excuses for alive for the last couple of years offense of line. You know, always he doesn't have receivers even when they won when eleven and five. He only they only put up twenty points like once that year, you know, you can see that McAfee was trying to get a mobile quarterback in there because he didn't fit assessment magnitude, didn't have versatility it'd be able to change his offense to personnel and survive..
