That all came on Friday. How is the White House managing all this? And what do you expect to hear from the president at the U. N on Tuesday? Well, look, I think he's got a pretty big credibility crisis on his hands because all of these problems in some ways Showed up after he said something basically the exact opposite Afghanistan withdrawal wasn't gonna be messy. This wasn't going to look like Saigon. The booster shots. He came out, and he essentially said eight months and even indicated maybe we should start as soon as five months Now. A Space for Mom's to Be More Than 'Just Moms' With Mom Halo Founder, Alana Kayfetz
"Halo which was previously known as moms. Te'o mom's toronto was to me like an act of desperation. When i was looking for my girls crew is looking for moms to like connect with and everywhere i went like people didn't talk to each other. It was really weird dynamic. I come from a twelve year history of a community builder. Fundraiser working nonprofit sector. Have always sort of been a gatherer of people and organizer of stuff so i was looking for my crew and i couldn't really find them so i had just moved into the neighborhood. We live now. I'm a young mom. I have my babies. Maybe five months old and i just like flew out on a local facebook page. I'm okay. I'm looking for some moms. Who wanna come over to my house to just maybe hang out at byu. Ob bring your babies. Your boobs in your bottles and bottles met lake. I was obviously like your your baby bottle. Your wine bottle. Hello whatever that was in two thousand. Sixteen that i thought was really clever. And lo and behold like nineteen random. Women's showed up to my like my matchbook cows. They're like i remember. This french canadian woman was like what's the catch. What are you trying to sell me on. Like absolutely nothing. My husband is a retired shops. Like beautiful feud we had like twelve bottles of wine. And we just. I had this aha moment of like moms. Just want to have their identity. Were their moms and also have a baby on everything. Baby baby baby all the time so. I really leaned in hard to this leg putting mom i like baby on the head wide on the lab. That's how it came. In to be. Rene then i remember that year. That was a really cool event in toronto that i really want to go to. It was like a very busy like food and beverage event. And i want to wear my white dress and i wanted to shut my baby with me and i went to go buy tickets. It was like a three hundred dollars ticket and the like. I'm sorry you can't come into nineteen event. I was like my baby is in a stroller. Like you can't bring the baby after this shit. I'm gonna create an event that looks and feels as beautiful as boozy. That's food and beverage where women can bring their baby. And that's how the first ever very mommy wine festival came to be with this like really leaning hard into finding a place where moms could come be themselves have a glass of wine and hang out with their babies fast forward years later and that's secretion of our community now which is now known as the mom halo. We pivoted hard because we realized we were serving women with our virtual digital content that we're like very much outside of the greater toronto area so very canadian following and we still sort of hit hard with i would say epa content. That's both virtual. We are in person really fun and it's not about why right. It's on about getting drunk and being fraternity girls. It's about permission right. It's about giving moms permission to say it's okay for you to be both. You can love being mom behaving mom. You can exercise five days a week. If that's your thing not my thing but if that's your thing and you wanna drink on the weekends that's your thing like just do you like whatever you is just

"In china you can get three versions not the too many people get only in the china market that tesla offers the cheaper sa version of its losses these standard range version. Personally i just wish they would sell them on the why here in the in right hand drive foam ahead of its indian debut test meal of model y has been spotted without camouflage driving on indian roads while founds were sure that tesla's fest product for india would be the model three. Looks like it'll be model. Why well maybe anyway. At least we'd know model wise testing to more stories to go and the go cycle g. Four one of the newest additions to the award. Winning go cycle range. These are really striking bikes founded in the thousands by former mclaren designer. Rich thorpe improving the go cycle for twenty years. The latest example is innovation. They say where necessary but keeping the best bits of previously update from the g three the g x models is talk from a standing start that previously kicked in at four miles an hour. Syfy setting away on a hill. Traffic lights helps you even more. Also kyle have review saying. What's the go cycle suggests forty miles of range. And i'm thinking as i'm reading this i would love one of these small ties not folding but it's small ties very striking you know. I would invest a little more in this because it looks cool and It would be a great to have for a few years the g. four is a folding bike With the finance they say a regular e bike. The cost is three thousand four hundred pounds. Wow for a small mike So i stopped reading when i stopped laughing thought year. I won't be buying one of those I might do if you'd be interested in this just for a laugh. I might buy a cheap folding bike. I dunno alley express or something and then say if i can also get a battery and a motor. I make my own as kind of gauge project. But that'd be cool. I'm gonna to spend too much though. Really the final story today took about the hyundai five going up against competition the q. Atrium post to and model three com magazine written a group test. And they say that if you look past tesla's toy box the achingly cool style of the ionic five the strobe lights of the audi key for hr on the pulse vegan interior. It's a tough job to decide. Which ev to actually buy depending on your appetite for over functional coolness over capability. There's a brilliant article income magazine. Do you want to make a statement or as you plug in all be reassured by familiarity if it's the latter they say by a q. Four each ron well-judged introduction to electrification was the phrase. They used a. Yeah if you like the look of an audi being inside and out. This is not a million miles away. magazine do conclude spoil the whole article four. You gotta read it really. It's a it's a long read for the weekend. I really like it. They say that the model three just feels normal now rivals. How having to turn up the innovation. Dial to catch up to tesla and cali tested. It was model three long range. I said it does. It does what it says on the tin with razor sharp driving an improved cabin. And the best ev skill set on the planet's they say Yeah you know. I was decode that within the best skill set. So i think it's the best powertrain although i you know i haven't driven the audi q. For each on but his emmy platform so it's four in saudi clothing. I've driven the five That's amazing. But i still think tesla have the best ivytech by software best charging that work and the thing that never gets talked about efficiency doesn't doesn't we never talk about what hours per kilometer. What hours per mile and we absolutely should because anybody can put a big battery into navy and go with the big headline number but the holy grail is a lighter evey that goes the same distance and you do that through increased efficiency and i still think that in a preemie wrong. I happily be proven wrong. I still believe that. At motorway speeds seventy eighty miles an hour. Tesla still have the best efficiency which means smaller battery light a car. You know less in theory less battery means they can either charge less or make more margin but he the way the less resources going into a car. That's what you want. And then every mentioned efficiency in this article but we should be talking about it. Why you anyway. I've been talking enough. Question of the week will be on a separate podcast today as.

"You are looking at february march here in the uk as well. I don't think that's wild as in you know i remember when the enero and the counter were twelve months when they fuss when they they went online at least hit. That was a while to white. What do you think about wait times. Maybe that's a question of the week to begin from tomorrow. That's not a bad idea. Okay coming up on the podcast very soon. A guinness world record with an av truck and in australia. A master plan for new thousand fast charges. Stick around. That's on the way now. Though story of uk legislations close to home for me but maybe this would be suitable for way. You live around the world and listening to this podcast. If pending legislation becomes law own new home construction will include av charging installations new office buildings part of the plan to For every five parking spaces a space to charge the consultation document begins with saying we are proposing to ulcer building regulations for knee residential buildings to include requirements for electric vehicle charge points new nonresidential buildings For ev charge point infrastructure and existing nonresidential buildings to have ev charge points The article clean technica dot com says that billed as the first of its kind in the world. This will require all charges to be smart devices connected. And that will enable batteries to be replenished without overloading the grid such connectivity language in the legislation will have the effect promoting overnight charging which is very sensible so that data connection can communicate with the car to make sure that it's fully charged by the time you want to leave in the morning. The new charge points might be as simple as level two charges in suburban garish. Or bank of dc false charges in an undergrad office. Parking lot cop because we have called an air. And you wouldn't believe. I'm not going to name the publications that went with this but there is a part of this idea but says if the grid is very busy or expensive or dirty during the day a peak time that the smart charges would be like in a default state turning your ev charging off and then charging overnight of course all the national not all but many of the national tabloid newspapers here ran with yukon. Charge your electric car. During the day the government will turn off your charger. Well they got a in some of these. Newspapers read by idiots written by idiots. Bolt by idiots is a bit of an echo chamber in those kind of some of those tabloids at least and only cat like i love my friends on social media today Reaching out on twitter to people. That have been commenting on this Brain dead numskulls take to twitter. I'm one of those off the time but criticizing ebays and very very patiently explaining. No that's not the case. I don't bother anymore given up because they'll be driving v in five ten or fifteen years when i don't care anymore right i enjoy I know that's not my responsibility. But i certainly could help the argument if i joined in. But i'm not i like talking to you. I like talking to people that are really curious that are open minded i pleasure anymore banging my head against a brick wall west that phrase about arguing with an idiot you have to low yourself to that level and then that bets are being stupid and they win. The arguments was effect. So i just don't engage anymore. People you drive on ebay. You can't judge during the day. And i know it's a nightmare. We run out of electricity all the time and they go away very very happy. I'm the energy anymore to deal with the the these these skills next talk about guinness world being modified for the volvo electric truck a nivo vote. It's not new has been modified a volvo. Pure electric directed a thousand nine hundred nine kilometers on a single charge. Just one kilometer away from eleven hundred gutted. Three european firms d- The delivery company continental and futura come which i haven't Involved in the guinness world record for the longest distance covered by e v truck without stopping. This truck has been modified to achieve this. It was pulled out of the dvd fleet off six months of us. It's not a brand new custom designed truck for the purpose Nineteen truck has six hundred eighty horsepower. But it had a six hundred eighty kilowatt hour battery. Pack is the largest truck battery you can buy in europe. Six hundred eighty wells. It was on a bank track. It was two point. Eight kilometers on the oval. It wasn't like going around the five miles an hour. Because i wouldn't have report on that then because it would be pointless thing. It was doing a fifty fifty now which is not bad. Actually three hundred ninety two laps of the track Four and a half hour shift reached drive up and dvd saying actually like kinda mimics daily average that speed of fifty kilometers an hour weather conditions were wet and windy gala and the record breaking took twenty three hours to drive this truck on a single charge. She says ev trucks won't go very well. Six hundred hundred kilowatt hour battery though. That's mega next. Let's go to australia and down on the new south. Wales is releasing a master plan for a thousand ultra fast charging stations. The government is released. Details ritz ev. Master plan with a thousand high-powered charges along major routes Well they say ultrafast charges so they might be talking like hundred kilowatt plus because hp. I kind of think hunt. Three hundred and fifty be catholic. Say an interactive map. We'll guide network owners where they should install these facilities according to the the driven dot. I o. the plan for the rollout. They say of these charges which they say all three hundred fifty kilowatt charges. But i would like to get clarification of thousand vote. That'd be mega was unveiled by the transport minister and promising a big. Ev charging that work in new south. Wales with thousand charging bays in place by two thousand twenty seven so yep it of a white but not too bad tesla a raising the price of the model. Why but for our chinese friends. I've never looked at my chinese. Can you get this podcast in china. I hope so. There's no reason that the the internet wouldn't serve this rubbish. However for our chinese friends the middle gets more expensive. They have escalated the bryce of the performance version of made in china by another ten thousand yuan. That's about one and a half thousand dollars. Two point six percent of the previous price. They say it's because of high manufacturing costs. According to finance dot yahoo dot com the prices of the other versions the standard range model y and long range model. Why remain altered yes..

"Coming up the podcast. Twelve hundred and nine as a five-month white for some of the more popular e vs and when it get worse. We'll find out on the podcast. Today we see some pushback against the latest ideas for the us. Evey incentives a guinness world record for an av truck and an electric bike will review. We'll good morning good afternoon all good evening wherever you're listening in the world welcome tweenies daily and sunday twelve th of september monday ms nelson li like after every story. So you don't have to. We'll start with. It's great news about ravine getting very close now to delivering customer cars and part of the driving. Experience is always how you charge. Tesla of course has the supercharging network when people ask me. What's the best thing about. Tesla's i'd say the software even though i think it's best in class i don't say the power even think it's best in class. I say the supercharging network Pretty much go way you want. And don't worry about whether the charges will be operational or out of order but riven. Wanna get this slice of the action held that customers to go beyond just the tarmac and the concrete according to review in forums the first charges which waypoint charges a now installed at utah north of moab that level to that two hundred and forty volts. Not the quickest that for overnight charging well a full charge will indeed take all night but not ready a problem because you get that you pitch tents you park up you plug in. You can even plug your tent equipments etc into your riven and the new network includes false charges capable of one hundred and forty miles of range in twenty minutes. No one will not took about those ones here. We also don't know whether non review and onus will have access to the fos- charges all the level two or neither or both we don't know of course there is on the horizon a lot of money coming out of us government at least incentives for building out charging infrastructure. Now think one of the givens. Now i've ever seen it written or maybe it has not missed it. I think it's a given if you run a closed network. You can't go subsidy. Truffle hunting within it'll knows only going Looking for the subsidies oh comic is do it by the white say. What can we get free money. Can we get if you run a close network. There's no chance again any of it. So if review and say well we're going to open up at least the level twos. We're gonna open up charges if tesla say well we're gonna open up you know i don't know but forestalls each station or something. It won't be all of them all of a sudden you unlocking some free cash and he all companies like little bit of incentive little tax break etc. And so we'll wait and see. I think that might be the reason why we see more of these. Formerly closed networks becoming open if not all of them. I think highly unlikely all of them. But at least maybe one or two stolz per station white and see but talking about incentives. There is one company who particularly doesn't want the latest evey incentives in the us to make this way through to being signed off and that is our good friends at toyota. The japanese automakers toyota lobbying the house committee to reject the tax credit expansion which will help electric vehicles become more popular. Toyota said while the company does support the mission to reduce carbon emissions. They believe the proposal to give additional tax credit so he vs that were made in the. Us by unionized. Workers is discriminatory two days ago on friday. The house democrats introduced a proposal to expand the tax credit system for vs most. Tv's have a tax credit seven. A thousand dollars get a union made one twelve and a half thousand dollars. According to the hill dot com. Well general motors ford sta lantis. Which owns chrysler would of course all benefit because they do use. Us unionized workforce is still several union. Groups have issued their support for the proposal in addition to four gm's lantis as well butts Toyota have join a line in the sign and said we will fight you for this. They do not approve of increased incentives to help people by clean green zero emission electric vehicles if it means They can't use that. Nonunionized workforce political issue isn't it and so I'm sure you'll have an opinion. Probably either way on that. I'd love tonight. Democrats say the for five years. The legislation will implement seven and a half thousand dollars at a point of sale kashima rebate. This is not a tax credit. The idea that was unveiled two days ago is about you. Know my friend told molecules From the inside of podcast he goes at money on the hood which i love or cash on the hood. Seven hundred thousand dollar point of sale consumer rebate for vs on another four hundred thousand dollars. If it's made in the us in a unionized facility and another five hundred dollars on top if the battery is made in the us for the next five years after that seven thousand dollars base credit only applying. Tv's made in the us But the other two incentives will say stay the same. According to detroit news dot com the first five years should incentivize the adoption and domestic battery production. The lots of half should narrow it to domestic producers so this article well if you buy a sedan on the five thousand dollars a commercial van on the sixty four an suv under sixty nine and a pickup truck on seventy four thousand dollars. Those the cut offs the thresholds for these credits individuals with adjusted gross income of up to four hundred thousand dollars all households. Up to eight hundred thousand dollars can use the program. Wow so i would have put something like you. A join household income of maybe one hundred k. On this Join household income. Maybe eighteen hundred twenty. That is a lot of money For the average person and it would help them get into an ivy. If you're earning more if you're earning six figures dea need free money to help you buy a car. Probably not i'm guessing however threshold is eight hundred thousand dollars joint income that seems enormously high. If i'm a couple almost a million dollars a year They all we need some help from the government to buy out our new car please. We haven't got any money. Have too much sympathy for them next. We'll talk about extended delivery times in the us at least according to the new updates to the online design studio the entry level model three standard range plus so cheap as chips version of the model three the entry level one. That's been pushed back to february. That's about five months six months from now the long range and performance version still december a similar situation according to inside. Tv's dot com concerns model. Y long range is now february performance. A little bit sooner model three standard range plus has two hundred and sixty two miles now one mile less than before. I don't know why seal team six to forty two kilometers according to inside davies The range of the model s. plaid has gone up by six miles to three nine. Six from three ninety is heading towards the psychologically very important four hundred miles of range on the epa ranger model as plot as for other long-term deliveries cooled kia last week and the v. Six if you order one now and gives you cash in the uk you might get february and apart from some five which on the ships heading in november. I believe to the uk if you do want a custom order with a less common color combo or certain specs..

"Dad what's up man. I'm great tap. Eero as i said. That's how you say it directly many times before. So i don't know what god said. His aim wrong what zoom he started roasting me for saying. I know you have problems with names ending an all but you know this is an easy one here you hear. How are you good good. I mean i've been busy as can be you know we've sort of had even limited interactions. It's just been a whirlwind. The last four five months in been off twitter. I mean on but not as much as before and you know not as deeply ingrained in sort of the the markets as we build up the ten t it talked to us about ten t and what the original idea was and then walk us through this seven hundred fifty million dollars fundraiser across the various vehicles. Yeah you know. the idea. Originally was to build a broad sort of macro sector exposure to the digit to the growth in the digital acidy. Go system so. I'm pretty hardcore big pointer when i also think there is a world where there are lots of things growing up in the overall ecosystem lots of great businesses that have grown up. And i'm not. My background is not as a venture capitalist. So i don't have specialty in. You know trying to figure out which code is better. Which chain is going to work for whatever it is and so i said to myself look. There's there's a lot going on. And this in the private equity world in the digital ecosystem. There are a lot of companies that are a lot larger than people understand. And you know. I'd like to get that kind of exposure for my own personal portfolio ended de tap capital and so went about the idea of constructing this portfolio of ten to fifteen businesses operating in the
Have You Been Crying?
"When i get really intimidated by someone's confidence. I have this little thing i'll do is like when they're talking to me. I'll just interrupt them and be like have you been crying. Really works no matter where their had is at. It really brings them right back down to earth. I feel like when girls are super confident. Like walking around with confidence most of the time. It's because they think they're hot. You know like i'm hot. This is my world. And i don't relate to that because that's just never been my full identity like when i was a kid for example girls that i'm talking about. They were princesses for halloween every year. They were like a princess pocahontas marine. You know like. I realized the other day that one year as a child for halloween i was an old man. I had like some stringy ray. Here my dad's old shoes. Everyone's like you're weird. I was a tarantula on your okay. Just painting the scene okay and then me and these girls we just go off in different directions. Our whole lives like out into orbit. And then when your lives intersect later it's it can be very strange because super hot girls don't understand regular girls lives so they'll give you very shitty dating advice for example like they'll be like okay. He's playing you hot and cold okay. Okay chelsea they knew it you can do. Just ignore him. Just ignore him for a little bit. Trust me okay. Just thinking are hem chelsea. Throw a little bit like all right well. I haven't heard from him in five months. Thanks for the hot ugly. I hate when female. Comedians really ugly garbage. I'm just saying that like when. I get super dolled up like the best i can hope for. Is someone like maybe. She's a
Selling Action in Poker Tournaments
"Well the first question is quite easy in just goes back to what you were saying. You start it's taking probably between twenty two thousand seventeen. But i wonder if you can each remember. The first time are sold at auction at your feelings were about doing so is there any doubt was something he just flew into confidence. The first time i ever sold action. I do remember it was for my i d. I wasn't really ruled. Free petits at the time but one of the top poker players in our run me up and said he was interested in buying a big piece indie potato so i ended up setting fifty percent of myself and turning it into rosary modest by international. It was more common the time but it was fairly new back then. Seemed to be most What that was a poker player looking to have a sweat. Apart from the fact that he was playing the event himself it was very ad hoc like that people have already any idea of what the correct markups should be. So yeah. I think that was two thousand nine. Roughly yeah when i look back i would say that it was definitely an online event and it was probably relatively small cleaning things where you know you might satellite into. Ns tops or w coup or something like that online. And then it's sorta seemed prudent to maybe twelve and then maybe salad trumka's well. I remember the first proper Was twelve and a half percent to a couple of friends. When i qualified for the full series in two thousand and nine i had my way from the twenty five dollars. Satellite to a to k package and in my mind that was trying to cover the cost to go to the live events. I thought it'd be smart. 'cause i wasn't old at the time i was right in growing your mode when it used to play forty five months and this was for chefs and yeah went very well and i ended up having to my friends. grams for those small pieces was a fifteen hundred events. I think i only settled about two hundred bucks worth but the pin a good purchase by them. I didn't begrudge it to them. Because they were kind of people who i used to do. A lot of swapping with back when i lived in the states and played

How many kilometers woman's did you travel on on the overall. And how long did it take you in told us it was a it was a roundabout routes. It was thirteen. Hundred is also in total acted over. I think six weeks so it wasn't. I wasn't breaking records with my manage but it was more that i was very conscious. I didn't want to just race through all these amazing places. I did actually want to see them. And explore them for myself during the wealth. Spagna takes time to master yourself. I guess that's something. That kind of came through in the book was that this was kind of a quest for immersion in spanish coach and spanish language which you touch upon the various points during During the book inspiration to do this particular room. Why did you want to buy it. I've never done any long distance cycling ato before. Patrick Leonard, Former #1 Poker Player in the World, on Developing His Strategy
"Strategy something that comes to you fairly naturally do think in terms of strategy especially having like the competitive background that you do kind of yeah. I wouldn't necessarily say so much strategy. I would say very competitive. I would probably like. I used to play chess against my irons. Like every day grownup like we net. But we'd never read kind of a rule that we went allowed to like seek strategy elsewise. And we wouldn't play against anyone else myself against my mom myself against my dad. My dad against my mom. Why was why the rule. I think we just like to compete against each one of us was like getting really good secretly. It would kind of go against like the intellectual postlewait against each other. If that made sense does make sense. But if he goes eight or nine. And like i could move a piece on the old like without them looking could win the game. I'd probably do it. I think as more concerned about winning and losing then strategy if that makes sense so my mind wasn't ready built around necessarily strategy from an early age but my mind. Was daphne build around being competitive from an early age i would say well discovery then so like i think there lots of people that hate losing that don't wanna lose but continue to lose even when they try to improve so the process of like strategy discovery the process of reassessing. Your game adding things in and out. Could you speak on that owns. I think i was more about session. So i just naturally the more you do something the better you're to be even if you're not trying too hard to get good of that makes sense. If i played if i played like one dollars thing go thousand times on you played at ten times naturally going to be better just through like lenin from reputation of might speed of improvement was quite quick but our has being very obsessive Was doing so. I wasn't necessarily like into much watching train videos. I was just playing so much that like. Let's say fifty a day. The it got to a level where just repetition and cnn stuff and like seema people would do in. I just got back the my friends to be playing. You know like two hours a week. Whatever it just arms my mind was never built around around. Strategy was always about obsession and addiction. Almost i guess i'm just wanting to play and and just like yeah like try to win the next. We'll try to win the next one. You know we used to play like forty five months singles full-tilt that was kind of a thing like it was like it was a tournament but it wasn't too long not too high various because it was forty five plays and those kind of the game that we used to. That's kind of learned vocalists

How how do you go from from a high school kid to becoming chairman of the national transportation safety while that's a great question. I've been wondering the same thing for a number of years so I i've i've been extremely fortunate You're right. I did start flying in high school By the time. I had graduated from high school. I i had my private and then of course went to college a few months later and i marched into the dean of students office after i've been at the university for just about three weeks in explain to him why we needed a flying club and then he sat down and proceeded to tell me all the reasons why that was not going to happen and on the way out and by the way this was the university of south carolina and on the way out. I said gosh. I just thought since clemson had flying club since one thousand nine hundred ninety eight i thought south carolina needed one and He said Sit back down young man and within about five months we had our first airplane For those who are not That aware is you can imagine having to state supported schools in a tiny state. There's quite a rivalry between those two between those colleges unfortunately clemson as the one with the with the football team the question is did clemson really have a flying club. And a little more than a week after the militant group again a lightning offensive against regional capitals president. Joe biden has yet to offer an explanation for why his administration fails to anticipate an outcome that military and intelligence officials have predicted for years instead in his first public comments. Since the taliban seized full control of the country biden delivered a defiant nineteen minute speech in which he blamed the afghan military afghan leadership and the trump administration for the humanitarian disaster. Now playing out. I stand squarely behind my decision. He said but it was not the choice to pull out of afghanistan that critics have seized on after nearly twenty years of fighting across four presidential administrations without a winnable endgame insight biden's determination to wind down. The us in afghanistan was not the reason he finds himself facing the biggest foreign policy crisis of his presidency. Polls show that. Most americans agree with the decision to pull troops out. Biden ran on the policy which was set into motion by his predecessor. It was the way in which the biden administration conducted a withdrawal five months in the making that appears inexplicable. In hindsight the siding to first remove us forces aircraft and heavy weapons then close a constellation of airfields bases before finally evacuating at risk. "five month" Discussed on Journey to $100 Million
"Olsen and I'm seven days. Join us on our journey to building a one hundred million dollars company. was happening. It's Eric J Olson I am currently recording this out of the array digital office in Chesapeake Virginia. which is kind of a big deal for me right now because I haven't asked you're out of here hardly at all for the last five months. So encoded hit I. Just kind of hunker down and stayed home and I never really left. Rarely travel and I've only worked out of the office now twice in the last five months since March. which is kind of crazy. I mean I was coming in here every single day. For three and a half years until killed it hit. And then all of a sudden, just you know with the switch. I wasn't coming in anymore and neither was anyone else that we work with. So the whole team was staying home. Now, how about almost half of our company is remote these days but the half that are here locally, they would come in every single day unless there was something different happening like. They had a doctor's appointment that interrupted their whole day. Then maybe they would just work from home in the morning, go to the doctor's appointment and work from home afternoon. But for the most part, we were a work out of the office coming for Sir. Not. So much anymore. It's been really I opening because it's very, very clear that we can operate. Not Out of the office, we do not need this office anymore. But. We've come to the conclusion that this office is very useful for a couple of reasons number one. You have to have a physical office space in my opinion. To be seen as a legitimate. Business, and here's what I mean by that. Of course, there are businesses that are one hundred percent remote that are way bigger than us, and way more legitimate than us. But for the most part most businesses like service businesses I mean I guess really any business. If you don't work out of physical office space where you can have clients come in and you can have meetings and things like that receive mail it's very difficult sometimes for people to consider you as a legitimate business. Especially, if you're small, we're only fourteen people. We are definitely small when it comes to the actual classification government classification of a small business where super small lack uber small I think. Small businesses go really high up I. don't even know the numbers like. Three hundred or five, hundred, some big number way way bigger than us. We're not even close. So we're a small small business and what that means is if we didn't have an office than our prospects would question whether we're a fly by night operation or or maybe we're doing something else like for a real job and we just kind of like sell digital marketing on the side. We have to have a physical office in order to had the perception that is required of the services, and frankly the price point that we charge. We're you know we're not the cheapest ones out there. So office makes a lot of sense from the perspective of giving prospects one and fuzzy feeling. A second reason is we need a place where we can have dedicated time for work dedicated meeting times without kids coming in and animals jumping on your desk and. you know all sorts of things that happen. During the day at home, there's tons of distractions. Of course, there's distractions at the office as well. But I I can come in here and I can I can close my door and I can record podcast and I won't be interrupted Oh he's you know I shouldn't be. Now of course I'm looking knock on the door and a man start over again but I can tell everybody here I am recording podcasts. Please interrupt me and and the respect that. So you know there's there's opportunities like that. There's opportunities to get together in a private setting and have a conversation without worrying someone spouse or girlfriend or boyfriend is going like over here. This sensitive maybe hr kind of conversation who knows right? So it's a dedicated place where businesses conducted and that you just don't have at home I now have a Home Office but actually took like four months to get to that point once Kobe hit. And until then I, didn't really have a dedicated office space that was Kinda working on down your table. I was Kinda working in this like spare bedroom that we were converting into an office my wife comes in and out all day long it's just not. It's not ideal for business. Put it that way. So, there's a lot lotta benefits to have in this office. We're going to actually use US we think. As like a co working space for internal purposes, meaning the finding the come into the office in Saber record a podcast then I will if I wanNA stay long day I'll stay home or maybe I'll do little both as a matter of fact, I didn't even get in here until about noon on Aleve and I don't know like an hour or so at five o'clock in the evening. So it makes for a a nice option where people can come in get their work done it they need to or or they could be more efficient a stay at home and acute. So. It's really interesting for me to see how Kobe has changed our perception of the office and work life, and we're definitely finding a balance..

The late nineteen, Ninety S on Wall Street. So it's a cluster properties that trump has borrowed money to buy or refurbish, and that the valuations that he is assigned to those assets have been at times wildly inflated appears in an effort to either get more money out of banks or to effect his tax liabilities either a state or federal level. And David Trump himself never fully divested from his businesses right? I mean he never really invested at all he's claim to not be involved in the operation of any of his businesses anymore although his sons are the ones running it and his sons are clearly quite close to the president and in times politically involved as well but he divested little if anything of his actual assets and you can look. At his annual financial disclosure forms the most recent one which has filed a couple of weeks ago, and it is really clear that he just has this wide range of assets all over the world that some of which are it's clear what they are but others are listed LLC's that are very opaque and you just can't even tell what they're holding and so it's his business empire remains wide range and and transparency around it is. Very, limited at best. And for for some of as you mentioned at the at the top of the segment here I mean it's been a while since we've talked about this and some people might assume that these investigations are not going on or or have forgotten long forgotten about. How. Does the New York Attorney General investigation current investigation relate to the inquiries into the trump organization I. mean. There were other inquiries from the Manhattan district. Attorney's Office for example. Yeah, the main difference between those two investigations is that the Attorney General's investigation at least right now is a civil investigation, not a criminal one whereas the Manhattan district. Attorney's investigation is a criminal one and the DA's Mestigation is an it appears to be looking at a lot of the same things that the Attorney General's investigation is looking at the bottom line though is that we do not know the full scope of either of these investigations while we what we know about them is limited to what has come out in court filings very recently in Manhattan Da Sivan's his office has fought with trump to get his tax returns over the past year nuts case that went all the way. Up to the Supreme, court and the Supreme Court sided with Cyber Danson became affirmed his authority to conduct a criminal investigation into the president but Sivan's offices still fight him with trump and with trump's accounting firm may czars to get the president's tax returns, which could be very important in case that is trying to prove that there was some sort of fraud committed by the president or his company to reduce their tax bills overstate their asset values.

Aside, we are seeing increases not only in homicides, but also just in in in everyday gun violence on that's attributed attributable. Partly, to pandemic stresses that people are feeling partly to stresses and perhaps fear of the social unrest that's happening around people. And certainly just with the increased availability of firearms I mean there's a lot of research to show that you know in any area in a household in neighborhood as the percentage of people who own guns increase the percentages of firearm violence increases in those places, and so the the prevalence or the more people that own guns the research is pretty. Clear that that does increase gun violence both both both on the suicide in interpersonal levels. "Day for five months. I go to bed 11. 30 every night. All I do is read and immersed myself in this virus. I talk to people all over the world. Trying to figure out what's going on. And I cannot believe that we are in the predicament that we're in right now. With all that we have known with all the bells that have been sounded the alarm that have been made across the world. I cannot believe we're in the position that we're in. Right now. We're the greatest country on earth. We should have been able to figure this out early. We should have been able to test and now we're still having arguments about Whether or not we should put these these band AIDS on the problems such as masks, effective band AIDS, but still band AIDS on this problem, and we're still not even sure that we want to do that. We got we got a patient bleeding out in front of us. We know what to do, and we're not doing it and it is. Yeah, it's frustrating for sure. Dr Sanjay Gupta over at CNN. We know what to do. Like what? What are we supposed to do? I just locked down again. Is that the plan locked down again? There was a period in New York, where I'm telling you. It was a total ghost town here, Okay? And everybody and I mean everybody. Was wearing masks and guess what the virus was still spreading in the community, so if the virus is still going to spread Even when people are an absolute panic as we were here, and we have the worst covert outbreak of anywhere in the country. If the virus is in that is that easy to spread, then What is the answer, but what they really are. We really just supposed to stay locked in our homes forever. Is that is that we're going to do because I'm also going to point out that the virus may very well have mutations that don't make it that much less lethal, but do make it hard for a vaccine to give permanent immunity. We don't have great treatments for it yet we have some treatments that are a little bit I know there's dexamethasone, for example, we have some treatments that are working for it. A little bit. Just a little bit. I mean, that's all and that's only in the hospital and you're really close toe Death's door. I mean, they're not using these as a prophylactic not using these as a means of stopping people from getting this. But why did I say that? We were lied to about this. To get us to comply with the initial lock down. What was the argument? It wasn't that we're going to stop the virus from spreading. That was not what we were told, and I have not forgotten. We were told it was to keep hospitals from being overwhelmed. We went through periods of weeks, months off, unrestrained spread throughout the entire United States. We had places like New York City hit incredibly hard with it. Was a single hospital system overwhelmed was a single hospital, unable to treat a patient. No. So do we think that we're now going? Is that going to happen now is that we're being told now it's going to be because there's been some restriction. I don't have all the answers, but I also have questions don't have answers to Why is it that we've been in? We've been have states where there was reopening Mohr contact with people reopening. Georgia was one of them. Texas, Florida Open for weeks and weeks and weeks, and they didn't see the hospital's getting fuller and fuller and more more people dying. Dr Gupta is pretending like we all know the answer. No, we don't have the answers. We don't know. But here's one answer I have for you know, second lockdowns. We pushed through. We fight on. This is America. I'm not living in some totalitarian Idiocracy where the protests were fine, but the rest of life, isn't.
