Review: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2

"The Galaxy Z. or Fold to. The Galaxy said full to phone. So you may remember I had last week I had the Microsoft duo which was a dual screen phone. That on Hanjin, the middle unfolded. And, I thought this just the software didn't really use it very well. I loved the idea was beautiful harbour, very thin and light and. And everything but it just it was Kinda Janke I could make it fulltime phone. So I sent it back and I took the money. And then some and apply because this is a two thousand dollar phone this galaxy fold, which means you don't have to worry about it 'cause that's ridiculous. Ridiculous. Four Times more than you need to spend for phone. If you need a new phone, you want Andrew get get the Pixel for a or you know that'd be fine. The Google phone but I'm you know me I'm interested in technology and and what we're technologies going. So I thought well, I should try this. I can always return it. If you know what I don't think I'm returning it's pretty cool. So it is thicker and heavier than a regular phone because it you know it's got it folds. It's like a sandwich, a sandwich with nothing in between. But on the other hand, the F- The unlike the Microsoft phone Microsoft not a they don't want you to think of as one. It has screen when it's folded. So you can see notifications, you can actually use it. It's a little it's thinner than a regular phone would be. So it's kind of you know it's not a it's kind of an odd ball screens, really thin and tall compared to any phone that you might use but still. Totally usable can and you don't look like a silly person making a call. It's just it's Kinda. It's Kinda thin. Kind of kind of kind of a weird aspect ratio, but then it has a fingerprint reader face reader, which is good for these days of masks. But then. Let's say you you. You launch a program or something on the front face when you open up the phone, it goes to the open when it's so big. So big nice and spacious. Now. It's like a little tablet and yeah, it was a little concerned about the folding screening indefinitely see that where the fold is doesn't doesn't disappear completely. But it kind of disappears from your awareness. And I have to say. It seems very well made. I wasn't going to get this because I thought. Oh. This Janki. is going to be silly this can be really Janke. You know it's really fun taking a picture with this big screen is huge. Like a bigger with an IPAD which I've always mocked people for. Taking a picture with an IPAD. So this isn't quite so big boy. It's kind of Nice, because you can really see what's going on. You know the pictures it's really like it's like holding. Like holding a big print in your hand. So you can see what it's GonNa look like when it's printed. And of course, Samsung always made the best screens. These are really gorgeous screens and it has a lot of features that duo left out. It's the fastest. Processor out there for for for android the QUALCOMM snapdragon it's It's got wireless charging. It's not waterproof for does proof as definitely not break proof which should make you nervous because if you drop this two thousand, it's like holding a Faberge egg in your hand. If you drop it, you bought it. You know you know. I I went out and took pictures of the other day and I thought. I better, not drop this. This if this falls out of my hand, that's That's a lot of money. So I I I have to say I'm not going to recommend anybody by this crazy expensive two thousand dollars for a phone. But. And, it's not a much better phone than the four hundred or five hundred dollar phone. It's just that. I was curious about folding screens and now I have to report. I'm pleasantly surprised. Unpleasantly surprised it actually It actually is pretty surprisingly functional and it doesn't feel I thought that folding screens gotTA. Be Weird rights feel plastic ear something. Once you open it up you kind of forget it that it you know that it's a plastic or anything it's just a big screen. It's Kinda Nice to have such a big screen in your pocket. So I'm I'm I'm actually very pleased I might even keep it. I know I know I know. A lot of money and then Someday. Did iphone. Event Invitations. Go Out. No, no nobody. Got Him. Okay I. Often don't get him so I don't know. I can't tell but I don't think they went out which means. Well, it's not going to be this week for the IPHONE twelve events like probably probably not gonna be could be next week. Everybody kind of agrees is going to be in October. So it could be maybe October. What is that six? Week from Tuesday yeah. Or October thirteen week from Tuesday they'll nuts new iphones. What do you think they'll be two thousand no but I bet you be able to get him up there. Close. Yet You know you get the. iphone twelve pro Max. With All the available storage they're offering whatever that is five twelve or to fifty six. I think I think you might get it up to fifteen hundred bucks crazy. But people and these things these phones are not. You know their fragile. Which means you got to buy insurance. So add that to the cost of the really not meant to be used for more than a couple years. So. So I'm thinking. maybe we should just you know think of our phone is a phone stick with that. I'll do the. Do the crazy. Spend for weird stuff just to let you know. I don't think this folding phones going to be cheap ever because I think it's an expensive part I. think that's really the problem.

Fresh update on "five hundred dollars" discussed on And That's Why We Drink

"Said five hundred dollars in cash and you just gave. Cayenne friends over to I would like a party. I wasn't invited to a party. I had three NICKELODEON CO workers because we had homework to do, and so we were a lot like a party Djing jaws own too much fun with your homework. I was having so much fun that I walked outside. Gave you five hundred dollars. That's how much fund my party was. Anyway, where do I get five hundred dollars? Okay. Point Anyway. That's. My best friend. At this point, nobody else really hard I. Hope you feel safe in our religion. You're the only person I thought to go to. Like fucking Pasadena. Sur Five. Hundred. Okay Draws, you were like, no I don I was like, well, you gave me five hundred dollars. So I. should stick around GonNA leave. Okay Oh. Gosh. Okay. So yeah, they're dating. There's an age gap and Abner Lydia Zab is not happy about it either. And Basically Nellie lectured Lydia and the family. On quote, the reality of the afterlife and then complained that when she revealed herself to the family originally I guess Lydia has brother she reveals herself to brother and he apparently was very rude by not speaking to her. What a little jerk. So he she like held this grudge that she a ghost approach someone and then that guy was probably freaked out and didn't talk to her like I'm just going to close my eyes right which makes me think how many ghosts have I pissed off because I didn't interact I. was just scared there like they talked to everybody else on the planet they're not gonNA. Your startled enough to counter will. So I guess for a while she didn't a gap from when she was originally showing up and then she was gone for like a month and then she came back and started talking to people so like right and then eventually she started talking that gap was because she was insulted that gotta brother Gabriel. A lot and then she came back swing and she started opening her mouth and chat. Okay So Nelly said that she had greater plans that would require the belief of more people. So let's remember that K and Nellie spoke to abner where even Amer said that her voice flitted around the seller from corner to corner. Nellie wanted to encourage George and Lydia's relationship. Like came back for the exact opposite of what I would do if alison were dating someone..

What's the best mic for podcasting?

"To, kick off his answer to the Cuny Wednesday question. What is the best Mike for podcasting? WanNa start by saying that I've done a ton of research on this topic. I've done a incredible amount of experimentation We've recorded over sixteen hundred episodes of this podcast and every single time record an episode. We try so many different things to improve the quality of the audio of the sound of the edit to continually be professional and compete with professional podcasts. So I'm not going to geek out on giving you all these different types of microphones you can buy on. Ana, give you the summation of what I've learned over the years. Will you really need to know what I would tell somebody if they're getting started with a podcast? Actually going to start somewhere completely different somewhere. The whole thing to do with microphones because you can have a state of the art microphone that costs five hundred dollars plus but it will do you. No. Good. If you're space is awful if we're you record is not a good space as conducive to recording, it doesn't matter what you're going to use to record for example, very court my podcast with a great quality Mike but There's construction going on there's noises dog barking I'm in a room with high. Ceilings and no installation that record is going to sound straight trash. Okay. It doesn't matter that you have a great Mike because your environment is horrible. Good news is that you can easily manager environment and make sure that wherever you record, it's actually conducive to agree recording. So one of the things I highly recommend is your cord either in a walk in closet or closet, the has shelving the bare minimum have your mic on a shelf in a closet and you record into that shelving into the closet. Because your voice is being projected towards the mayank into the closet, and because the shelving is kind of. Confined like into a box, your voice is not going to be bouncing around a lot across the room. It's going to be confined to the closet. This is sort of creating a makeshift soundproofing or sound booth. This is going sound a whole lot better than you just having your Mike at your desk in a big room. The next level up is to actually record in a sound proofing box. This is an actual Foam box has soundproofing that you place your mic inside. And you place that box into a closet or a shelf, and this really makes everything sound like studio quality. It's incredible and your listeners just using a portable soundproof box that you can buy Amazon it's about two hundred dollars, but it's actually worth more than the actual Mike it's actually going to improve the quality of your audio more than the actual. Mike. Itself I actually. Just. Looked it up on Amazon and the one I was thinking of a travel on, which is two hundred dollars. There's actually an alternative one that is in portable, but it's only thirty six bucks. It's called the choice studio sound recording, vocal booth thirty, six dollars. It's basically a box me out of foam where you can place your mic inside and talk right into it. That is going to make a tremendous difference. Now, let's talk about Mike's There are whole much of mine because I can go through but I'm GonNa give you two mikes. One that I would say is absolutely amazing for the price and you can actually use for all your podcasting with that soundproofing for as long as you like, and the second one is going to be if you insist on buying something expensive, this is the one I recommend. So the first one is the Audio Technica eighteen or twenty, one, hundred, it retails for about one hundred bucks on Amazon it's a be an xl are Mike, which is great. That means if it's used. To your computer and record using your recording software right on your computer or they're using quicktime or Daswani, or garage band or whatever using record your audio. Now I mentioned ex- LAR-. It also does acceler excellent actual cable that needs to go into a sound or quarter like a Zumra quarter if you don't own talking about then this is kind of technical and you may want to Google that but if you're interested in recording on your Laptop than you have to get a Mike, this be compatible which is this one, the audio tape, a tr twenty, one, hundred. This is why I think is one of the best Mike's you can buy period for podcasting for a webinars for calls. It's fantastic. It's really really an amazing quality Mike. It's on intellectual mish means that when you speak into the mic picks up your voice and it does its best of not picking up. Anything that's around in the room. So even if somebody's shouting across the hallway, if you're in a different room, it won't pick up

Get cash for your used Apple Watch

"You may be excited about that new apple, what series five, the one that can read your blood oxygen levels. Well fine. So what are you GonNa do with your Old Watch The same thing that you do with the old phones Hannam down or maybe get a trade and get some money for them. Well, just like the used phone market, there's now a cottage industry for used watches. You can probably pick up about forty percent of the retail price. If you go to a bunch of sites, I'm here to tell you all about them today trade more in declutter offer about some of the best pricing that I've seen for instance. Last year's Apple Watch, which originally sold for four hundred dollars with a forty millimeter watch face or five hundred dollars or five hundred dollars. If you added the cellular connectivity, I see prices about two hundred dollars for the top of the line while trade more will give you even more like to fourteen. Now, a lot of people bought the series three watch because it's cheaper originally sold for forty dollars and as of last year got lower down to two hundred bucks. So you can you'll be lucky to get seventy five to a one hundred dollars for it. What about the Samsung? Watches while the new one sells for three, sixty, nine, the game watch three Samsung itself will give you one hundred sixteen dollars off as a trade in with a trait in of on galaxy phones tablet or a previous watch. You won't get as much for the watch on declutter only about fifty bucks. An apple will also give you a trade in they won't give you cash will you trade? They say they'll pay up to about two hundred, forty dollars for the series five or up to one hundred dollars for series three before shipping your watch off to one of these sites. Apple reminds you that you gotta take all the data off how do you do it? Well, there's two ways. One is to open up the watch APP on the phone. Go to the my watch tab tap all watches than the info next the watch and choose unpaid Apple Watch that will wipe it an easier way to do. It might be just do it on the watch itself by clicking settings general reset, erase all content and

Staying Confident In The Airplane

"And what I want to address this podcast and I'm hearing a lot of things like Jason I, got my private a year ago I flew pretty regularly for a few months but you know life. And just not flying as much as I wanted to, and I'm starting to lose that confidence I. Don't feel like I wanNA, take my kids up or my wife because I don't feel confident if something happens up there that I can deal with it or at least deal with it is sharply as I did the day after my check reading. So I've gotten a few versions of that story and I WANNA talk to you about how you can do this how you can stay proficient and you can stay confident and you don't have to spend a fortune to do it and I think there are three main points that I wanna make in small tweaks you might have to make to your flying. But the first one is in, you know how close this is to my how hard the standardization the idea that you can ritualized you're flying. And then remember like rehearse remember and perform the ritual of flying and so all you really have to remember is that ritual and what the ritual is designed to do is to weed out the possibility of thousands of other smaller mistakes from happening I'm great example there is the final walk around on a preflight, right. If you just remember to do the final walk around on a preflight, you might catch tomorrow on the nose wheel cinderblocks blocks on the tail Pito Tube cover. Fuel caps left off seatbelts hanging out of the door baggage compartment opened I mean I, you go on and on and on with the things that you might catch. Simply. By remembering to walk around the airplane after the preflight. Okay and that goes deep. If you want a very detailed version of all of the soap's the standard operating procedures that I teach, those are all in my book setting the standard. But that is one concept that will add huge beer flying. This is an I didn't make this operate. This is the way the professional pilots do it because they've got money in the game they've got a business, they have to take care of one of their pilots crashes. It can't be game over right not only that as you've heard me say the company's survived the accident typically. So the company has a chance to evolve develop a procedure that will prevent the. Pie The from any other pilots for making the same mistakes and they can force compliance with that procedure. That's huge. That's the whole process, and if you can get yourself to do that, you are miles ahead of the game. All right. That's one thing we'd like to ritualized the flying, and the second thing is getting rid of this idea that you go back every two years for what they used to call a biennial flight review or a flight review that is not. Enough that is not regularly. You're not going to regularly enough if you're going back every two years and the pros know this to right how often do the pros go back? I heard you say it every six months, right. So if you're a professional pilot, every six months, you go back with your instructor. Back to the training environment and you go through the ringer right you practice all of the emergency procedures, all of those things that you might need if someday. You're you're in a situation where you have an incident? You've got your family on board right and all of this training inspires confidence. So this is the feeling of confidence in the airplane comes from doing it regularly and feeling confident that you can handle the edge cases if they come up. I'm so what most people do just to kind of get US summarized here three point two when most people do is they get their pilot certificate they here. Okay. I have to get a flare view maybe they go get a new club checkout and then that's it right and then they're out flying with their friends and their kids and their wife and two years ago by nothing boy I better go get a flight review that is not a way to inspire confidence. That is not a way to feel good about what you're doing. In the pros know that. and. So the last thing I'd like to say is this is the part where we get into. This is the third point where we get into the budget. Is that there's been a lot of evidence to suggest that if you just keep your head in the game right back in the day they see if you read flying magazine or you re Flight Training magazine those are still great ideas by the way. But in today's world you've got youtube and you've got APPS late ground school and you've got you know ah so many different ways to stay engaged with aviation. And I always tell students when they come in to train. The typical question is how much is this gonNa cost me I don't. Generally answer that question as a complete daughter a mount I won't say, well, this certificate certificate is GonNa cost you fifteen thousand dollars or twenty thousand dollars. If you really pin me down on it, I will say it will cost you anywhere from fifteen to twenty five, thousand dollars. There's a ten thousand dollar. Window there depending on how prepared you are when you show up for lessons how regularly fly how busy you are all that sort of stuff. But that's not even the important part. The important part is that you really think about flying more like a monthly expense more like a habit. So when a student comes in and says or perspective, Stephen Comes in and says, I'm thinking about flying how much is this gonNa cost me I will usually say how much can you afford each month? Right? Is this something you can. Afford. To put fifteen hundred dollars a month into or is it something you can only afford to five hundred dollars a month into is something you can put an unlimited amount of money anti right I mean I just have no idea where you're coming from but the important part is you're starting to think about it like a habit that you're taking on and you're never gonNA stop. So you have this monthly expense for flying. Now, let's take A. Relatively for flying a relatively modest budget. Let's see we have seven hundred dollars or eight hundred dollars a month that we feel as though we can spend on flying right it doesn't sound like a lot when you consider your CFI's probably one hundred dollars an hour on the airplane while it's running. Over one hundred dollars an hour. So you're out there spending on, let's say, let's just pick numbers. Let's say the airplanes one hundred and fifty dollars an hour and you go out for one point five keep it keep it. You know easy math that's two hundred, twenty, five dollars right? One, fifty plus seventy, five, two, hundred, and twenty, five dollars plus your CFI you're together with your. Maybe. Instead of one point five year together for two hours it's another two hundred dollars. So we're looking at four hundred and seventy five dollars we're looking at. If you do one lesson a month after your certificate, you're spending four hundred and seventy-five bucks. You've left yourself with a budget of about three hundred, fifty dollars maybe a short two hour flight somewhere with your family. But you've flown twice in the month right and that's the way you need to think about the finance part of it think about it as as a monthly expense and try to allocate how much you're spending each month a little bit toward training and

Halo Championship Series Pivots Due to Pandemic

"I want Halo Sports back I think all of you probably want Halo eastport back how a top fight beloved game only a decade ago has fallen so far out of public perception is a travesty. Well. Somebody players are invested in bringing it back. They've had to pivot due to the coronavirus the halo championship series or h was begging lot on the release of Halo Infinite but halo infinite was just delayed to twenty twenty one due to the virus. Now, the is still want to get some competition out there but they definitely are on the level of what we were hoping with infinite today. The HCC announced the halo five pro series between September twenty six and mid December the will host a combination of open professional tournaments culminating with four season. Championships, the is still operating the master chief collection, pro series or MTC pro series as well, but those games being played in Halo Three. This new series we played, in Halo, five as you may have guessed in this press release the ATS. Also said they're increasing weekly prizes for the MCC from five hundred dollars to one thousand dollars. If that doesn't sound like a ton, it's because it's not he'll has an eastward has fallen far from when it stood in direct competition to call duty mini are hoping for return and the ATS is the closest. Thing, we have the halo five pro series will have total prizes of sixty three thousand dollars that's split across four regions. The release of Halo. Incident was also going to bring East sports engine created by longtime eastwards, veterans, atom up Selah and Ryan. Thompson engine posts, a wide variety of eastwards partners including the call of Duty League, and plenty of the franchise partners of Activism Blizzards Eastport Sports Leagues Right now, the Halo five pro series and the MCC pro series are mostly place holders to keep longtime halo fans with some content if halo is returning. To a place among eastward top titles, it's going to happen with eastwards engine and halo infant but we're going to have to wait till twenty twenty one to see if that can become a reality

PS5 Pre-Orders at Walmart Are Acting a Little Strange

"Biggest news of the week, of course. Everything that's Sony. announced. Yesterday, we finally have price released eight, and then a priori sort of clumsily with live last night and cause mass hysteria nationwide. Playstation five is out November twelfth two days after xbox series. The full version is five hundred dollars. Digital version is four hundred dollars I believe we all got our preorder secured I got a disk version from Amazon. Reason being because I have to play on my special edition Blu rays. Where did everyone else? I know Sam got one from like real need. You got one from Walmart. Target best buy and game stops. Yeah. We we have to kind of outsource extra steps because we capture a lot of game play at work and stuff like that, and so we just need extra systems around. So we we usually do a little bulk order like that, but it'd get a bunch of The digital ones are really hard to get and I think the will want them to. We ran a poll today that said about a thirty percent of people still haven't got the system they wanted to order and a, and a bunch of those people said that they wanted to digital one I thought that was pretty cool but we suspect there's very few out there just. Yeah, the. Data shows us that there's about one percent as many digital editions as there are. One, present. Crazy crazy. This is only based off. We can only see like people that clicked on it and deals links and then bought one, and so there's it's possible that none of our readers in particular with the digital edition. But I, don't think that's the case because because they also they also that in like twenty minutes. So it's this mad rush to appear to the consoles them and the dust had settled. We had sold one hundred times more disk consoles, and so I think that Sony is just making like beyond few of them and this is just my speculation. But like I bet the story is going to emerge as the weeks go on digital edition is like very scarce not very common. The only thing we officially know is that they mentioned or Jim Ryan mentioned in an interview that they were producing more for launch, the PS five, and then they did for the PS four I think that was in response to there was a rumor out there that there would be fewer than there were for the PS four or that there would be production issues. So I think they were trying to just kind of. Pr Their way out of that one. But even even before that Bloomberg report this week Sony itself you know launched its mysterious own direct Priori Program said that orders we're going to be very scarce. People are assuming it's going to be hard to find, and if people are following that, that's still the. Emails about that direct purchase from Sony still like we've Kinda grand through all the retailers that could even have prayers although Justin just got a scoop that targets is put up some more preorder issues now maybe. Somehow watching the show live. Yeah the priorities are such a mess and Sony Sony said like and pre orders open tomorrow, and then Walmart said, no, no preorder is open right now. After Walmart did that then the domino's started to fall a target came online and best buy came online and best buy site. Now, twenty four hours later is still wrecked still can't go to best buy DOT COM like Some of this is some of this is Sony's fault in my opinion for not being more organized and buttoned up on Mike. Here's the date and time for preorder is like everyone just relax. But some of this, also like interest in hype for the PS five is unprecedented like I never seen a console that like as had more prelaunch hype and interest than than the PS five. So I think somebody's retailer websites in downtime and stuff would have happened. No matter what. That's usually the way things go and I'm very curious. What is it for for the xbox series xbox series asked they're going up on September twenty second I believe in the daily gave a time eight am. Did they finally reveal the time Today let's get I. Don't know I. Don't know why at the end of their show yesterday couldn't have said you know good live tomorrow at ten. Right because everybody would have north them well, maybe. Maybe that maybe Walmart so pissed off that they're selling a digital console that they are not going to be able to sell more games for the navy. Editors there. So supply constrained like they're gonNA THEY'RE GONNA sell out in a few minutes. So why like what? What's the jockeying till? I go I like. We want people to ordering from us not our archrival target. It's not like you're going to sell every single PS five you get your hands on. So why make it this big fire drill?

Pr Their way out of that

The Positives and Negatives of Investing Your Money in gold

"The positives and negatives of investing your money in gold by Robert Farrington of the college investor Dot Com. Do you remember all the hype around gold in the not. So distant past from two thousand, seven to two thousand eleven. The value of an ounce of gold went from about five hundred dollars to eighteen hundred dollars. If you would have purchased gold in two, thousand seven, you would have nearly quadrupled your investment in just five years. Now, that is one heck of an investment. Around this time I also pronounced that you shouldn't buy gold and it received a lot of criticism in more recent years. Gold has settled back down to around thirteen hundred dollars and sometimes slightly less than that. So hopefully, you took my advice, but the question still remains in the back of people's minds. Would it be wise to invest in gold right now? At, its current price gold is worth five hundred dollars less than its previous high. So one would think that an increase in value could be on the horizon. Here's what you really need to know about the pros and cons of investing in gold. Pros of investing in gold. In my opinion, there are three major pros when it comes to gold investment one, it's equality hedge against a down market to it will still have value of paper currency inflates and three. There is an apparent upside to its value versus years. One Gold is a quality hedge against a down market. As we all saw in two thousand seven when the stock market took a dive everyone began putting their faith in gold instead with the higher demand in gold and with a limited supply. The price of gold went up massively within the next couple of years we may witness another steep downmarket, which may again increase the value of gold. Two Gold we'll still have. Value Paper currency inflates. Local currencies constantly fluctuate against foreign currencies. It's the way of the world policies are in place to hold currency steady, but they're not always foolproof once a currency begins to make a downward spiral it can be very difficult to stop severe inflation, which of course, decreases our purchasing power. Is often the more solid option for currency since there's a finite amount of this precious metal if you have gold, then you're likely to hold on to more of your overall worth than someone that is put all of their faith in the banks and paper currency. Three, there is an apparent upside to the value of gold. As I stated before gold was once at eighteen hundred dollars but now rests at value of less than thirteen hundred. If there's a slight blip in our economy that sends fear through the nation, then gold could easily spike back to eighteen hundred mark. It no longer seems far fetched because after all the value has already been there before. Cons of investing in gold. I used to be a huge advocate of gold and silver investing but my opinions on this investment technique have changed largely because of these cons. One Gold has a terrible historical return. If you went back two hundred years and put ten thousand dollars in gold ten, thousand in bonds and ten thousand stocks, which of these investments would come out on top. Well, if you're smart, you would probably not choose gold to be the top investment but the astonishing part about this is how poorly it actually performed versus the stocks and bonds. Here are the values of your investments after two hundred. Years. Old Twenty six thousand dollars bonds eight million dollars stocks five point six, billion dollars. Based on the historical returns gold is a lousy investment. To Gold is worthless if things get really bad. As a pro, we stated that gold is a great hedge against the dollar inflating, which causes us to lose our purchasing power. This is true. But what if the currency becomes absolutely worthless and we all have to resort to trading goods to survive what value is gold at that point? Well, let's see me certainly can't eat gold. So it is of little value for that purpose and you really can't make anything easily out of gold either. So there really isn't any value they're pretty much at this point your gold nuggets in bars are only as valuable as Iraq because he might be able to throw it at something and kill it. Three gold only earns you money when you sell it. The biggest con of investing in gold in my opinion. Oh and Warren Buffett's is that it produces you absolutely nothing when you own it. If you want to grow truly wealthy than you want to buy an asset that produces a passive income while you own it so that you can then by other assets that make you even more wealthy. Warren started doing this as a boy. When he bought a hunk of land, he knew the land would increase in value but the truly great part is investment was that he could earn an income each year from the local farmer that wanted to rent his land after a few years of Rental Income Warren Kundun reinvest his money into even more land and do this over and over again, this method allowed him to buy assets that gained in value, but also gave him income while he owned them.

How to Not Have a Lost Decade

"Welcome money for the rest of this is a personal finance show on money how it works how to invest it and live without worrying about it. We host David Stein today's episode three, fourteen it's titled Don't have a lost decade. Recently, got an email from a new plus member. He says he's treating the material on the website like an online college course but he had a question he wrote that he's approaching a crossroad in his life and he would like to prepare himself for that crossroad. He works at one of the Best Public Gardens in us as a horticulturalist he's been there three years makes forty three thousand dollars per year has four weeks of vacation full healthcare and Hsa they have a four zero three. B. Defined contribution plan where he gets a six percent match his boss enjoy working with him and he enjoys his job. This member also has his own business, a lifestyle business providing premium horticulture services for high end properties. He started in two thousand nineteen gross four thousand dollars and anticipate grossing twelve thousand dollars this year he has no debt. The only thing he owns he says, that is worth. Any money is an old pickup truck that's worth about three thousand. Is roughly eighteen thousand, five hundred dollars in his defined contribution plan and using the online tools on money for the rest of US plus. That, he's on track to retire in his early sixties. y'All says about two thousand dollars in a savings account pays two percent and about fifteen hundred dollars in a wealth front Robo Advisor. Account. He's living on about eighteen to twenty thousand dollars a year. After contributing to is defined contribution plan and health savings account, he brings home about twenty, eight, thousand dollars but that doesn't include is overtime bonuses or the work in his business. After taxes and contribution he estimates that he's bringing home about thirty, five, thousand dollars with everything, which means potentially he could save fifteen to seventeen thousand dollars per year and certainly ten thousand dollars per year. He writes for the first time in my life I'm not living paycheck to paycheck am planning for the future. The business I own. Now as a hobby passion, I turned profitable. It has been a great space for me to learn and have done a lot of just that but it ultimately is a glorified landscaping business. What they really want to own is a retail nursery that one day will become an event, an education centre as well. I turned thirty two months. I thought at this point I would go beyond an entry level position. I thought I would own my own house and maybe own a business full-time. Those goals seem so far away. The question I want to pose to you is, how do I get from where I am today to owning a five to ten acre property that can use to develop into my next lifestyle business as soon as possible Had An additional investment question that address in a few minutes. I he's not in an entry level position. He is a master, her cultures he's studied it. He learned a lot of those skills working at an organic farm and Tasmania. Got, his university degree. He was admitted to a professional horticulture program at the Public Garden where he works, he is very, very skilled in all aspects of landscape design and gardening. and. There are a lot of people that would be very envious that he has his amazing job working in horticulture and one where he can listen to a lot of podcast which he does. In order to answer question I want to compare to couples I know I've known for about a decade. This particular members approaching thirty. He's looking out over the next decade. What has to happen so that he doesn't have a lost decade and can reach goals I'm positive he can reach his goals.

Apple debuts discount watch, but no new iPhones ... yet

"Get ready for some new apple products. The tech giant will unveil new versions of some old products on Tuesday and potentially show off some new ones do, but it's going to be the first apple product reveal without its usual audience. Instead, the event will feature prerecorded demos spread out over a couple of hours. There will be new IPADS and Apple Watch additions and possibly air pod over the ear headphones plus Apple's take on a Bluetooth key finder, but there won't be any new. IPHONES. They'll be unveiled next month Jefferson Graham from USA Today's talking tech podcast as more. Let's start with the IPAD basically a higher end better looking newer IPAD air. This is the product that sells for five hundred dollars as opposed to the three hundred and twenty nine dollars entry level or the eight hundred dollar ipad pro analysts expect an edge to edge display minus a home button and something. I'm pretty excited about touch ID, which is where you press the home button instead of using face id but touch ID will be on one of the buttons on the side of the unit I hate face I It never works for me, and of course, anybody with the mask knows it doesn't work for them either. So I think this is pretty cool the Apple Watch series six it's expected to be more about software than hardware with a more powerful processing chip it's expected to be able to detect blood oxygen levels and watch users could get an improved electrocardiogram feature to check heart rate. No that the roster currently is three, ninety nine for the series five and one, ninety, nine for this series three. So I think series three is going to be replaced with a lower end watch and can't wait to see what series six all about otherwise analysts think. We might see some new over the ear headphones Cold Air POD studio along with the long rumored apple tags, which again is apple's clone of the tile. Bluetooth key tractor tile was. Really popular about two years ago and sort of lost its Mojo. So it'll be interesting to see what happens

What were expecting in the PS5 showcase

"So Sony Holding this PS five showcase on Wednesday a week after Microsoft held its own xbox event. So Oscar, what are you expecting? Are we finally going to get a price that is de definite? Expectation with this show, there is obviously the big questions. When's it coming out and the price? So yeah. Those are the two. Obviously there's GonNa be some info about the launch games but yes, with this presentation, this is going reveal all it's gonna lay everything down and skin say here's what it is and get ready. So what are you expecting pricewise? Right now, the expectation is the. to a, there's a digital version of the PS five with no OPCO drive and the sort of standard version with the optical drives so. For the standard version, which should have all the bills whistle. So to speak that were pretty much were all expecting a five hundred dollar price points for the digital version were looking more like four hundred the really the only difference between the two the optical drives so far that we know unless soda comes out and make some other changes. But consider there's not much difference. We don't expect with go below the three ninety, nine 'cause w really big cut. into the into some profits, got it, and so let's let's stack this up against Microsoft which announced its own pricing last week. What are the xbox series X. and series s cost? Well, that was a big surprise last week it was a it was leaked initially than my Marquesa finally confirmed that yes, there is GonNa be to xboxes the S previously codename De la Carte is to ninety nine. That was the big reveal edit is a very big reveal. The KONTOS haven't been to ninety nine in quite a few generations and for Gen Gaming. It's Really a low price and every the ideal the strategy behind it is what we're thinking. Yourself said, Hey, not going to undercut us again like they did with the playstation forward. So we're just GONNA go right in with this three hundred dollar council. It's going to have next Gen graphics but does have an optical drive. has half the hard drive space and a can't perform get render as good. A graphics as the standard version would just five hundred dollars. So that is what? Microsoft with the big enough to saying, Hey, we got you covered if you need save money or if you want all the bells and whistles, you go for the five hundred dollars and they're both coming out November. Right and that that money equation I mean it's more important ever right now, right we were in the middle pandemic when the middle of a recession with millions of people are jobs money is tight. All around is a lot of uncertainty. So I get I appreciate that Microsoft would factor that into the equation with the pricing that said You know there, there are some drawbacks of the series s I'm curious with with some of those pricing in place and I know we don't yet have Sony yet confirmed but. The equation for you on which console you should buy or if you should buy any of these consoles this holiday season. It always comes down to the Games. That's really what is important. But What's interesting is Marcus Like I said in the previous previous podcast. They are shooting to be this all encompassing services service package so They want to the big. You're GONNA push when starts September twenty seconds. So the big thing they're gonNA push is this xbox all access, which is for the s twenty, five dollars a month you get the ultimate game pass. which includes Xbox live in game pass and the you get that and the series s for twenty five dollars a month for two years, which is a pretty crazy deal because. The Game Password. That launches. Officially. A It's it's tech lean. Beta will let me it's kind of the. kind of kind of fish lead launched not really kinda sort of we up doing it but with game pastors but hundred hundred, fifty games. So right at the box, if you do this process with the Xbox L. Access, you're GONNA get the game you're going to get you're GonNa get all these Games get the console twenty five dollars a month. And that's it. So and then if you WANNA go to step up that's that's thirty five dollars a month. So it's not a big deal.

Apple's September Event: No Crowds and Likely No iPhone

"The show for more. Everyone Jefferson Graham, talking tech, and you know were here in the middle of September and you know what that means. It's time for apple to have event to wow us with new products except this year. The event is not going to feature the IPHONE. The event is going to feature updates on IPADS and Apple Watch editions possibly era pod over the year a headphone an apples take on the tile bluetooth key finder I don't think it's going to have the same sort of pizzazz without the iphone but you know what we're GonNA end up with is to apple events one in. Mid September another in October, which will preview the new iphone which has been delayed due the the pandemic. Let me tell you what analysts expect to see start. Let's start with the IPAD basically a higher end better looking newer IPAD. This is the product that sells for five hundred dollars as opposed to the three hundred, twenty, nine dollars entry level, the eight hundred dollar ipad pro. ANA analysts expect an edge to edge display minus a home button and something that I'm pretty excited about touch ID with where you press the home button instead of using face id but touch ID will be on one of the buttons on the side of the unit I hate face id it never works for me, and of course, anybody with the mask no, it doesn't work for them either so I think this is pretty cool. The Apple Watch series six it's expected to be more about software than hardware with a more powerful processing chip it's expected to be able to detect blood oxygen levels and watch users could get an improved electrode cardiogram feature to check heart rate. Xbox Series X and S Prices Revealed

"What do we? It has been for xbox. They finally announced the xbox series s we finally finally finally know the release date in price for both consoles. November tenth is on the next generation of xbox kicks off series x five hundred dollars series as three hundred dollars. A full two, hundred dollars cheaper digital only actually doesn't seem like it's that much less powerful It's basically. into. Four correct me if I'm wrong, it's not four K.. It's fourteen forty. The thrill leaning into the series s that's correct gets, but it can scale to four K. on your four K. TV and it plays media in four. K.. Wow, not video games. So are you surprised at the the two hundred dollar price difference between these two councils it makes the series s really really impressive and tempting I don't think it was something that that many sorta really hard core really engaged gamers like that super interested in this all the price in the specs I've seen a lot of people going to be like well, maybe. Yes. During the times, it's it's well suited to to kind of. Navigate for both kind of Gamers is a needs. If you want the upscale absolutely highest price edition, sure that that's an option. But at the same time, if you're on a little bit more of a budget seem super smart especially just enough in this landscape with twenty twenty it's kind of interesting route a because we know that you know most people don't have a four K. television they probably won't for A. While, and this will make you games look really good on your current television It's a next GEN system for thirty bucks I mean I think that's a really cool a really cool competitive move to make especially now that they have a subscription service to back it up and just a few other things you know xbox has going for it right now, what they don't have is a bunch of exclusive watch games. Held out this long, i. mean it makes sense obviously in the game of chicken but this does seem like one of its greatest selling points semi pun intended. So it's It's interesting that the sticking them less long and obviously due to a leak initially before they owned the news themselves but it's a like mixed. It's a huge differentiator and definitely makes the the deal between the two of them the most significant thing for Microsoft. The value proposition, right? Yeah. The five hundred dollar version two is still like that's kind of what we expected this for some reason it's is I think it's really smart, not the delay but that they kind of. are talking about they talked about the s price at almost the same time because like that's all people were talking about like we would be talking about the PS five versus the xbox price right now as soon as bs five comes out, but there's always gonna be this this three, hundred dollar one and their people don't have to get the of the full one. It's just it's just a really interesting move I can't think of a precedent for at. A financing option to right. So yeah. That's just like another consumer friendly option that is clearly the a big corner cornerstone point for their entire next-gen lineup. Yeah we should definitely talk about that. That's xbox all access which allows you to get in on next generation xbox for as little as twenty five dollars a month for twenty four months you that over two years and that also gets you. Game Pass ultimate to get more than one hundred access to more than one hundred games plus every mega first party game day. One you get. So it's actually it. It seems to be like a staggering deal especially if what if? Halo infinite had been there at lunch twenty, five dollars for twenty five dollars. You got the new xbox and Halo Infinite Right on day one, it's unbelievable. Clearly, there's GonNa be some of those games that you don't care about including every first party game and including EA Games. Now, like that's basically like a price cut like you can imagine that console is sixty dollars even cheaper than the PS five is because you don't have to pay sixty dollars to get a little infant. Yeah the price of that subscription. It's it's amazing. It's really really cool I. Want I want to circle back on really underscores something that Sam said about the xbox series S. The thing that impresses me so much that I think is so smart. That it really did focus in on resolution like if you have a four K. TV like we opie seriously consider the series. But if you don't, if you're either plugging that thing into a monitor or you still have to be like the fact that the series s is pretty compromise free and that really that extra power is only being used to push you know these extra forecast pixels and law resolutions. The Games will just as good. I think that was very very clever and very savvy and consumer-friendly Gosh I don't have enough positive things to say about like that being the point of differentiation between these two consoles and like like I still don't actually have a four K. TV every year every every Christmas. This is the year but then it's like well, then there's then there's other new tech and there's HCR government maybe I'll just wait one more year and so like I'm still chugging away ten eighteen. And You know. So it's like I'm one of US consumers like Sino. I've seen some people wondering like well. It's like. Well, you know we exist for a wide variety of reasons I think it's like seventy percent of people that have consoles don't have a four. K. TV. As you say often use a projector and people find that confounding. Confounding because it's not as great resolution like you can still get a four K. projector and I do and like you know I I have really good setup, but ultimately, it's totally lighting based. So if you're in a bright living room, kind of does not make for a great experience, but you can have a huge. Screen the biggest screen out of any. Huge. Fun. T to do most of your gaming on a projector. That's how you do pre pandemic yeah. Okay Now more committed to a TV. TV. Okay. So a five, hundred, x, three, hundred

John Foley on Peloton's Growth in the Pandemic

"John. Thanks for joining me today. I'm excited to be here. Thanks John. Appreciate it last time I saw was in the offices this was right before. was declared and we all went home, and so that's been several months but think it's fair to say that we could tell things were getting serious about cove nineteen at that point but couldn't have imagined what was going to happen over the course of the next month and full blown pandemic. In the way, it would hit your business in our business in every business in between. That's right. Twenty, twenty twenty what a what a wild year so far so far. One of the consequences for Peleton was having Jaeger critical new product launch and I really WanNa get into that and talk in depth about what's coming. But let's look backward a little bit not inconsequential at all is telling me you know what's gone on in these nearly last six months what they've been like running a business people lobby spent hunkering down in their homes and gyms have been closed and you offer these livestream workouts right in the home with the device, and early in the pandemic in fact, you guys were reported in the ninety four percent jump in your over your subs. I know there's been hiccups and it'll you've had a hard time immediately filling orders for instance, but it has has the pandemic Ben. Good. For Peleton. Well, it's hard to say good in the same sense with pandemic. At all but to your point, John It's definitely been wind in our sails as far as our bike sales and tread sales, and we've just been frankly happy to be there for our members are existing numbers in our new members who are buying bikes and threads and still getting them delivered, and we were also pretty excited to be able to innovate and bring the the live studio content from not from our studios anymore of for the for a couple of months but from the homes of our instructors. we continue our live format and connection with our with community through the crisis. So it was to your point a lot lots to do was a wild time for us like like everybody, but your business has been has been strong for sure also a little bit. You've got extensive background in ECOMMERCE and you know a number of different technology platforms and then legacy business like Barnes and noble once upon a time where the head of ECOMMERCE. Obviously everybody going into the pandemic lot of uncertainty in a lot of unknowns. And probably a moment of what's this going to do to our fledgling business? But when did it go from that to we have this enormous opportunity. That we're going to have to walk through and we're going to have to do it quickly and as you know as as as as successfully as we can. It happened very quickly John. I mean I I think it was Friday the thirteenth ironically in March when. Found of everyone stopped going to work and working from home and it became obvious and evident that this pandemic was upon us and it was going to be meaningful. Within a week or two of that, we saw a massive surge in our sales and we knew that this was a moment that people are going to Peleton in their home, and we we did see it as an opportunity to be totally opportunistic. We right away started giving away our digital content for ninety day, free trial which wasn't the best business because we still had to pay our music partners but we didn't care. We wanted to do our part for our communities and to help people stay saying in the pandemic so We were at one point I mean we're obviously in parallel scaling our supply chain or manufacturing and trying to make more bikes and tries as fast as possible. But we also have the pure software and digital content platforms across any one of your devices whether it's your phone, your IOS or android phone, or any of your television screens through Apple, TV android, TV fire, TV Roku, all these other platforms that you can engage with our content and do strengthen yoga and all the different stuff. So in that world, it wasn't dependent on our honor scaling supply chain. So we decided to give that ninety days away for free to new members, and we saw a massive explosion in that as well. So You know you alluded to this already and and it's it's a big topic of conversation and focus for investors is this growth curve in these growth big growth that you're planning? Because the addressable market for exercise gear is so large and the shifting dynamics of not being able to go you know at your whim to the local gym and use theirs is fueling even more enthusiasm but also pressure, and then you've got on top of this, you'll start about this virtual community where people can used gear but they can also use the community with people that they're getting to know or or somebody recognizable in the instructor. So you're about to test whether there's an appetite for a wider range. Of Palestine products, I'd like you to talk about what's coming out and how it's different than what the company already offers. You have a twenty two hundred dollar bike right now in a forty, three, hundred dollar treadmill, which are the main staples from what we know if we're going to A. Showroom on the website. So so what's coming in what's different about what you already offer? Yes. So we have two main lines of business as you know John and it's a stationary bike platform and then ate a treadmill platform. And the current bike is who have been called the best cardio machine on the planet the original Peleton bike, and what we're announcing is our Peleton plus and it's a new platform with a bigger screen that swivels now and allows from that bike platform our members to engage in all of our content whether it's the yoga or the strength or the boot camp or all of the different styles of content that we offer. They can now engage in that in a much more convenient easy to consume experience on the Peleton bike plus platform. In parallel, we've been working on a new treadmill platform, our original peleton tread, plus is the forty, five, hundred dollar but product that is kind of the Rolls Royce of the category because it has the Slat belt technology and it's one of the best running surfaces in the world if not the best running surface. And what we're bringing to market this month is a lower price tread that in a really open up the market and make it much more affordable for people to get a Peleton tread and take our boot camp classes and are running classes from home and really do full body workouts. Now whether it's on the less expensive treadmill that has a belt technology or with our Peleton bike plus which now allows you to consume. All of our content and not just the great cardio, but also the strength and the full body content on that. So the summary John is that we now have a portfolio on the bike side and on the trade side, a bike and a bike plus and a tread and tread plus. So depending on how much you're looking to spend and what you're looking to do we have now four options for you to engage pelivan platforms.

4 steps to ending extreme poverty

"We. Are Witness to monumental human progress. Over the past few decades expansion of the global marketplace has lifted a third of the world's population out of extreme poverty. Yet, we are also witnessing astounding failure. Our efforts to lift people up have left behind doors in the harshest forms of forty the ultra poor. What it means to be ultra poor goes beyond the monetary definition that we're all familiar with living on less than two dollars a day. It goes even beyond not having assets like livestock or land to be ultra poor means to be stripped of your dignity purpose and self worth it means living in isolation because you're a burden to your own community. It means being unable to imagine a better future for yourself and your family. By the end of two, thousand, nine, thousand, nine, hundred, about four, hundred, million people were living in ultra poverty worldwide. That's more than the populations of the United States and Canada combined. And when calamity strikes whether it's a pandemic, a natural disaster or a manmade crisis, these numbers spike astronomically higher. My Father Fuzzy Ahmed gave up a corporate career to establish BRAC here in Bangladesh in one thousand, nine, hundred, seventy, two Bangladesh was a wreck having just gone through a devastating cyclone followed by a brutal war for independence. Working with the poorest of the poor my father realized that poverty was more than the lack of income and assets. It was also a lack of hope. People were trapped in poverty because they felt their condition was immutable. Poverty to them was like the Sun and the moon something given to them by God. For Poverty Reduction programs to succeed, they would need to instill hope and self worth so that with the little sub support people could lift themselves out of poverty. Brat went onto to pioneer the graduation approach solution to ultra poverty that addresses both income poverty and the poverty of hold. The approach works primarily with women because women are the most affected by ultra poverty but also the ones most likely to pull themselves and their families out of it over a two year period, we essentially do for things. One we meet a woman's basic needs by giving her food or cash ensuring the minimum to survive. To, we move towards a decent livelihood 's by giving her an asset like livestock and training her to earn money from it three, retrain her to save budget and invest our new wealth and four we helped to integrate are socially I into groups of women like her and then into her community. Each of these elements is key to the success of the others. The real magic is the hope and sense of possibility they women develop the close mentorship they receive. Let. Me Tell you about jury. Jury was born in a remote village in northern Bangladesh. She never went to school and at the age of fifteen, she was married off to an abusive husband. He eventually abandoned her leaving her with no income and two children who are not in school and were severely malnourished with no one to turn to for help she had no hope. Join a joint brags graduation program in two, thousand and five. She received a dollar week to cowes enterprise training and the weekly visit from a mentor. She began to build her assets but most importantly, she began to imagine a better future for herself and her children. If you were to visit join us. Village today. You would find that she runs the largest general store in her area. She will proudly show you the land she bought and the house she built. Since we began this program in two thousand to two million Bangladeshi women have lifted themselves and their families out of ultra poverty. That's almost nine million people. The program which costs five hundred dollars per household runs for only two years but the impact goes well beyond that researchers at the London School of Economics found that even seven years after entering the program ninety, two percent of participants had maintained or increased their income assets and consumption.

"Then they earn the five hundred dollars <hes> but then leader if you know the the price does go above whatever the strike prices then at least they they haven't had to sell the Bitcoin for ten thousand you know they sold it for like fifteen thousand or whatever in the future is that is that what you mean there was something about this where like when I learned about it reminded me a little bit of like maker Dow and how people put up as collateral and get di which is pegged to U._S.. Dollars in the meantime. I'm not super familiar maker dial but <hes> in the case of what you were saying for the <hes> the call options that's correct so a minor would a minor would sell a call option. They would collect five hundred dollars today I for that twenty five thousand dollar strike and then if when at expiration Bitcoin is at <hes> above twenty five thousand they'll sell Bitcoin for twenty five thousand and <hes> which they might prefer to if they had to sell some of their bitcoin today at ten thousand and then if Bitcoin's below twenty five thousand than they just get their bitcoin back <hes> <hes> and they can do that trade again and so they can essentially earn <hes> that's five hundred dollars over a five month period one other wave at I wanted to ask you about earlier with the futures. You know I seem to just with my question. It's sort of felt like it was to me. <hes> <unk> <hes> that it would be preferable to me to receive you know the to have physically settled <hes> contract where earlier I am receiving bitcoin back simply because it's so volatile it would be like Oh..

"Five secret do's and don'ts of successful investors. What are you laughing at? Welcome back. I feel like I'm listening to the top ten hits or something. I don't know. You know, you gotta make it sound like it's World War three every second. Stuffs important. Let's face. It is really important. And that's why we're only to number three on stays list that we cut a lot to get there. Go ahead. Number three. Yeah. The countdown continues here and that is another do on our lesson. That's take advantage of catch up contributions. You can't play a little catch up at a certain stage rights. Yeah. You can't have been workers over fifty. You can put in extra money is an extra thousand dollars for an IRA to sixty five hundred dollars kinda strange because if you did a 4._0._1._K under fifty it's eighteen it goes up to eighteen thousand five hundred last year was eighteen thousand make sure you go to your HR department and up your deductions out to max out. I don't know if it's automatic. But in most cases, it's not keep in mind is long as you are fifty in the calendar year, which means if you turn fifty January first of that year, you can put in the extra six thousand right away. You turn fifty on December thirty first of that year. You are still eligible to do it, and too many people pass up this opportunity, they think they can't start contributing until their birthday. It's not true. It's the county or so very very important. I have found during many of the free. Reviews, I do for listeners that many savers miss out on the ketchup contribution. When they initially become available, very important, and you can put extra money in. I'm New Year's Eve baby. So I I made a note on that one there Keith that's important. The don't here though is don't stop with IRA and 4._0._1._K contributions.

"Thousand five hundred dollars. If you haven't yet maxed at your 4._0._1._K. You've got a couple of weeks talk to your HR department about increasing your deductions from your paycheck. So that you increase your contribution. It'll increase your tax deduction at the same time Ditto for an IRA that's point number two. You're allowed to contribute up to fifty five hundred bucks to an IRA sixty five hundred if you're over age fifty if you haven't done the maximum, and you're eligible take advantage of it. Depending on the kind of IRA you established you can get another tax deduction for that. Number three. Do you have an FSI a flex spending account a lot of people sign up for these at the beginning of the year at work is real simple. How it operates your boss debits a portion of your pay goes into the flexible spending account, and you can then spend that money on medical costs without being taxed, it's really very cool. But here's the fine print. You have to say every January how much money do you wanna put into the account? And then you must spend it by the end of the year. So look at your account balance right now is their money in the balance. If you don't spend it by the end of the year, you lose it. So if you've got money in that account, you got until December thirty one to spend it do you need a new pair of eyeglasses. Maybe a cleaning at the dentist. I mean, come up with some excuse, go do something to spend the money. It's literally free money. It's in the account, and you're gonna lose it. If you don't spend it so do that before the year end number four. If you're seventy and a half older. And you're planning on making charitable donations. Do it from your IRA because this way. You won't have to declare it as income. It won't hurt your social security or Medicare costs. You won't pay any taxes on it. And the charity will still get all the money. It's really cool. But you gotta be seventy and a half at the time. You do this. You still have time before the end of the year. Also number five if you're thinking about making donations to a charity don't give them cash. Give them securities. Give them shares of your mutual funds or exchange traded funds or your stocks. Why you avoid the capital gains tax you still get the tax deduction. They still get all the money. This requires paperwork takes a week or two the clock is ticking. It's got to be done by December thirty one so talk to your financial advisor and your charity immediately. If you want to do that. And finally number six if you're over the age of seventy and a half, you need to take withdrawals from your IRA's and your workplace retirement accounts. Make sure you do them by the end of the year talk to your financial adviser right now if you haven't done them yet and one final tip. I want you.

"Cards from up a bank where you give them a five hundred dollars and then they charge you interest on each purchase of that and the perc loyd asking a over time lead to them issuing you one of their real credit card yeah well what happens is you you make a deposit on a secure credit card and then you can use the credit card at least up to the limit of eur deposit and a real point in doing this at nick is to build credit because there are two factors that are related to credit a lotta people focus on the one factor which is certainly a factor which is known as the ability the ability to pay does the borrower have the ability to pay back certainly there's a lot of focus on that and there should be because as important but there's another one there's a second equally important factor in credit and that is the willingness to pay i mean there are people out there who have the ability to pay and it won't do it her whatever reason the matter with the reason does is of course it doesn't matter the only thing that matters is the have the ability to pay but they won't do it and that's mona and that's known as the willingness to pay and what's going to happen with a secure credit card lime is you're going to be able to establish well they'll know you have the ability to pay because they're holding money against your credit line so they have that covered but what you are able to demonstrate and this is important is your willingness to pay you make repayment in a timely manner and that's what this is all about so nick i think is a terrific way to be again the process of establishing correct and then when they give you a real card you're on your way thank you bob thank you very much for.
