Xbox Is Coming to Your TV Without a Console

"There's been a lot of video game news lately but some the caught my years was that microsoft is looking to bring its xbox game pass service directly to television. That's correct the xbox game pass ultimate subscription service which you can of like microsoft's answer to video games as what net is to movies and tv. It costs fourteen ninety nine a month and currently gets you more than one hundred games on. Pc's and android tablets and phones all without an xbox console now microsoft says it wants to make the service available on more screens including working with tv's and the company is working with tv makers to embed an xbox experience to internet connected devices so basically if you have a tv and a good internet connection you can bypass the three hundred to five hundred dollars. You might spend on a console and have all your games stored in the cloud. This would certainly seem a great way to expand the xbox audience brett. I mean not. Everyone wants a console and right now not everybody can get the new console. They want because they just aren't enough out there. By the way cloud gaming could be the future games as google and amazon. Both app services running now and playstation has playstation. Now service that lets you stream games on. Pc's in addition to its game consoles amazon. Let you stream on. Pc's max amazon fire tv and on smartphones and google stadia streams games two. Tv's it uses google chromecast but it also streams games to various tablets and devices so. It's not a giant leap for a tv to have an app or a bit of software bill inside to do this. Yeah absolutely and it's interesting too because they're gonna also introduced a couple other ways you can Play xbox games. Microsoft said it's also building devices to connect just for streaming game so almost feels like a roku or chromecast but just for your xbox and it's also going to have browser gaming so you can play games on google chrome safari microsoft edge in the next few weeks. We're likely get more news from and xbox before e three in the summer game fester over because there's an xbox in but does the showcase coming up so keep listening in the days ahead as we'll break that down for you

Steps to Help You Create Your First Offer

"I wanna talk to you about your introductory offer now. I coined the term baby offer. I dunno like maybe ten years ago. And i think a baby offer is just hopefully a a way to look at the first offer that you make that is less intimidating. Oftentimes you'll hear business mentors and advisers. Tell you like dream bigger. You gotta dream big. You gotta go big. And i think that when we do that sometimes we make mistakes and we go to big and we create something that is more advanced than our lifer is ready for or more expensive than your relationship has the merit to command if that makes sense so in other words if my lifer has just this is the very first podcast you've ever listened to and you're just getting to know me and i tell you i've got this amazing course that teaches. You need to know about business marketing. And it's twenty five hundred dollars. You're not ready for that. We don't have a relationship on that level yet. I need to prove myself to you. You need to invest a much smaller dollar amount. And see that i can deliver and then some and that it works for you and that you trust my way of teaching and that creates a level of trust then allows you to make the next greater investment now. Certainly there are always exceptions to this right. Like if i have some pretty incredible marketing in place and you stumble upon an add your cold viewer or a cold audience. You don't know who i am. You haven't spent any time on my podcast. We haven't spent any time together. And you have a need and we have done an amazing job of targeting those people who already can afford or already at a level where they understand making that type of investment and the return on investment. Yeah that could happen but more often than not businesses about relationships. It's about figuring out if we trust people and how we can work together and we build on that in the way that we build on that is by creating a customer journey.

Five hundred dollar monthly bonuses to screeners at short-staffed airports and adding more overtime forcing many officers to work on their days off the agency is hoping to bring on another three thousand employees by the end of summer to solve the problem but the issue is airports are becoming a lot busier now in fact. Tsa says larger airports are now at full capacity. Meaning people will really notice the long waits in places where security is short-staffed as the post reports. The airports with the biggest. How do Income-Share Agreements Work?

"So income share agreements. Let's break down. One of the first and most well known. Examples is lambeth school. Which is a programming school. I coating school. And you don't pay tuition until you're earning fifty thousand dollars a year the way it works. If you go to lambeth school dot com you can learn more you agree to pay seventeen percent of your post lamba school salary for twenty four months. But only after you're making fifty thousand dollars a year at least and they have a cap at thirty thousand dollars so basically you never pay more than thirty thousand dollars tuition and if you don't get hired and you never pay so isn't that pretty cool like they also have options to just pay tuition up front if you're able and that's what you prefer But to me the groundbreaking thing is this income share agreement because it's allowed a lot of people from poorer countries or from a disadvantaged background to really get a world class education and then a high paying job so there are a few other schools that are offering similar programs. I just did some brief research university of utah's doing it. Purdue university But in the world of entrepreneurship to focus our discussion here most iras are from startup. incubators one of the big ones that you may have heard of. It's called y combinator and their jail is first of all very selective so you can't just apply and get in like a lot of people who apply. Don't get in but if you are accepted there deal is they will invest one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars in return for seven percent of your company. Okay and that would be great if you qualify. First of all i said and also if you need more than one hundred thousand dollars in start-up capital so there is a world in which that is the case for lots of different businesses but here on site us'll school ninety nine percents of stories that feature. You don't need anywhere near that much money. Our whole point is to do this frugal to do this on a budget. To use the resources you have instead of just trying to find somebody to invest money so the reason i essays exist which as i said overall i think they're awesome but the reason they exist is because of expensive tuition or start up costs for some businesses. You were attending college. That was affordable for your budget. Then you wouldn't need the and so two. Is it for the side. Hustle model like total startup costs five hundred dollars. Let's say which we've had hundreds of stories that fit in that category then. An essay wouldn't really be worth for either party like you don't need somebody to own. X. percentage of your company in exchange for that five hundred dollars. You should just find a way to get the five hundred dollars or less on your own so that you don't have to give up any equity in your company.

How to Make Money on Airbnb Without Owning Property

"Have john in julian joining us today. And we're going to get to hear both of their back before we dive into some real detail about airbnb awesomeness and let's start with john and john. Why exactly did you quit buying real estate instead. Billy business without owning property. What's the deal with that. Well it down to a couple of very important things where let's talk about cash flow and just being able to generate that cash. Well of course you know the old way to go in and buy multifamily and you know rented out in possibly make four to five hundred dollars a door if you're lucky and go about it that way while i found something Short term rentals specifically. That allowed me to go out and still do the same thing with the same property. But i can also accelerated by going out and still renting other people's properties in then calling in somewhere around fifteen hundred two thousand dollars a door out for that same apartment and then i would have great tenants right. I'm not looking at those tenants. That are just gonna kinda mess up the place and they're not their long term. The place stays absolutely great. It was the best thing that i found in. i could. I connect what. I would do it flipping a home if i had forty thousand dollars. Let's just say that was four units for units Four thousand dollars generated a month. I couldn't do that with a regular multifamily or rents or anything that way. This willing to stop fire

Imagine it's much worse than seven dollars. Yeah hopper although the one the one thing about time rick at one three. Is that the one. Three games are kind of slow because a lot of people don't play They can take forever so like time raking and more multi way. Pots take longer So here's five hundred dollars with the small blind two hundred fifty dollars effective with the off. The cutoff is a fun player. Who is extremely loose. Passive and the small blind is tighter older woman. Who's a regular in the row volts to the cutoff who limps and we're on the button with queen ten environments reason not to make it rather large. Yeah yeah. I think we want to be. I don't know it's a. It's a really strong hand. Cutoffs is really wide will probably still dominate a lot of continuing range Yeah i like race. "This is wet notes here on scuba shock. Radio for friday may twenty one two thousand and twenty one first up. Today's news from the history of diving museum down in. I'll mirada florida about a month ago. On april twenty first to be precise. They opened up a new exhibit at the museum. This new exhibit is called diving in pop culture and it runs through december two thousand and twenty one the exhibit showcases. The underwater world portrayed in advertising entertainment and mainstream culture. The museum says that there is something for everyone. They have the regulator that was used in star wars. I think i read somewhere that a been an old decor that was used for darth vader's heavy breathing. They also have stuff from jaws men of honor and of course see hunt. Yes it's still alive. This is not a virtual So you'll have to get down to i'll miranda before december thirty first to catch diving in pop culture. Pick or it didn't happen. That's the tagline used by light. I'm sure to have my acolyte. Olympus t g six rig when i head down on a couple of days well i just saw that. They are running a contest for people to design their new pick or it didn't happen shirt. The design winner will get five hundred dollars worth who i like year. That's pretty nice. I hope you also get a teacher now. The contest opened on may first and runs until june sixth. So he's not a lot of time. The designs must be underwater photos or have underwater theme. And you must incorporate pick or it didn't happen into the design. No other words are allowed. You cannot use the ike light logo or any other copyrighted material the entry form on the lake blog so you have to search for light contest to find the link. I wasn't able to get to directly from their main websites. Who just do a little bit of searching there so fire up your creative juices and enter the pick or it didn't happen. T shirt design contest from michael. Light is reef. Well this is very interesting. Hope reef is an initiative that is being sponsored by shiba. The cat food brand hope reef is in sulawesi indonesia and they are planning to restore one hundred eighty five thousand square meters of reef spells out hope and apparently you can spot the letters on google earth. The purpose beyond restoration is to drive awareness and show how positive change can happen in our lifetime. Hope was unveiled on may fifth. Two thousand twenty one but it actually started two years ago is using something called restare technology that incorporates centimeter wide steel stars that the corals can attach to hope reef has its own youtube channel and you can check out the short one minute and thirty eight second video called the film that grows coral. It's called the film that grows coral because all advertising revenues from the film support the hope reef. Just go out there and search hope brief. Take a look diving with a purpose. That's exactly what a team of divers started last week. According to an associated press article. That i read this team of five to ten. Divers started a massive six month effort to clean up lake. Tahoe out in california. Their plan is to cover seventy two miles of shoreline and their goal is to conduct three dives each week to a depth of about twenty five feet. The team will be running this dive schedule from now through november. The operation is being sponsored by a nonprofit called. Clean up the lake. It was founded by a guy named colin west who is a diver and a filmmaker. The ultimate cost of this endeavor is two hundred and fifty thousand dollars on that i dive. They pulled two hundred pounds of trash from lake tahoe and tagged twenty larger items for subsequent removal. It's amazing that people still use our lakes rivers and oceans as garbage dumps. Good luck to this team for making a difference and diving with a purpose in case you missed it. Psi pci the gurus scoop scuba cylinder inspection. Recently posted a short article on died news wire. They needed to dispel a couple of rumors. Flying around out there about scuba tanks. One was about old luxury tanks. But that's not what i want to talk about here. Apparently there is a really bad rumor going around that beginning in two thousand and twenty one. Steel cylinders are exempt from ota cleaning requirements. What how did that one start. That is just unsafe and dangerous. Cg a or the compressed gas association states oh to cleaning is required for anything above twenty three point five percent over to please please please make sure you get your tanks properly serviced and cleaned for. Oh two as necessary thanked. Psi pci and finally. Here's some news from vermont. The remote business magazine recently reported there has been an appeal of the vermont agency of natural resources permit to sink the one hundred and fifty two foot ferry and the adirondack. as an artificial reef in lake champlain. The vermont national resource council via in the lake champlain committee. Lc has appealed to permit the vn rc's policy and water program director. John grove been. Doesn't think that this sinking is for the benefit of the people of vermont as it only serves a small group of divers. Laurie fisher the executive director of el-sisi stated that lake champlain is not a dumping ground. She feels the pcb's and other contaminates from the ferry will impact their drinking. Water she indicated that lake champlain. Already has one hundred racks and doesn't need the mvp honor adirondack on the bottom certainly an interesting perspective wondering how this will turn out.

Interview With Ian Dunlap, the Master Investor

"You've been doing a lot of work. Educating and inspiring black people on how to get wealthy via the stock market so break down your basic thesis. How do we get wealthy via the stock market very simple. We have to invest every month. Always try to tell. People get it years prior fifty years prior six years prior when we invested. Oftentimes our grandparents will go back. The money was not there or we invested in insurance. The money wasn't there but now there's a lot more transparency. We have to invest every single month. So even if you put five hundred dollars a month into the market into index fund which exxon is just like a basket or collection of stock. So if you don't know the one pick it gives you a bunch of companies bundled together and over thirty year you can have roughly million dollars depend on if you get anywhere from seven to twelve percent Interest on on those gains. So i mean last year was exceptional because we were at thirty and forty percent. We won't have the same thing this year but year-over-year you showers about twelve percent and then always tell people to get half index funds have technology stocks. Does Online Event Sponsorship Work?

"In a lotta ways sponsoring an on line. Event can be a lot more profitable for your business then imprison event many in person events even once everything gets back to normal after covid are expensive live sponsored in person events for ten twenty thirty thousand dollars so in order for me get a return on investment. I can make more than that plus the expenses that i have to spend. They're getting their Any teammates that are going to go there to be at the booth The merchandiser the swaggering giveaway. It all adds up. And if you're a small business every dime kant's so when we moved to online events and we sponsor one of the whos you can get a whole lot more affordable i've sponsored online events for as little as five hundred dollars and sponsored. Some that are up to five thousand dollars at the end of the day. The biggest factor. That's going to dictate your negotiating. Power and price is how many people will attend. This event is sponsored events that had two hundred people and i've sponsored events had ten thousand people that are gonna show up online now if i have access to ten thousand people that's great but what kind of access so what i want to start with is say that everything's a negotiation. They might have some packages for you to look at but you can go. She ate anything especially when it comes to sponsorships. The event organizers are just looking for great sponsors that are good with their audience and are willing to give them money so you can actually create your own package if the packages that you see are not really what you want. I have gone back and forth and created my own customized packages. All the time because i really want access to the audience as much as

How To Play Poker Responsibly

"Sparingly. I have no problem the idea of going off a little bit. Do whatever you want but you want to make sure that you have systems in place such that you cannot go off all that hard but a lot of people they decided. I'm going to go to the casino this weekend. And i'm gonna take the bucks. I'm gonna play some blackjack or some poker. And i'm going to have some drinks with my friends and it's going to be a party. They go there. They start having their party. Everything's fine and dandy then get tilted for some reason either because they lose some money quickly or perhaps because they win money quickly and they think they're going to run like god next thing you know five hundred dollars vanishes. They go to the atm. They get out five hundred more that vanishes thousand advantages that go and they get a credit card loan or whatever they do is they charge them seven percent big. They lose that next thing going off the bender down twelve and their life is in the gun so this situation where you have to make sure that does not happen so so so essentially you wanna make sure that you do not have the ability to get that first loan. Maybe you have to have a little bit of barriers in place where you know like your cap two drinks or one drink. You know what. I mean like you need to figure out where you really start to go off the deep end right and if you never get to that point where you really start to go off the deep end. Then you'll just be fine right like I know jonathan little can have one glass of wine no problem but we don from the last two glasses of wine search get on the border once he s three all bets are off doing often event. And that's not where you want to be unless of course you have. Your one allotted go off time per month or whatever. You wanna call it right and like johnson's right. Don't bring your your debit card at the casino. Yeah exactly right like if you go to the casino and you know you have five hundred dollars to play with. And that's it you don't need your credit card. You don't need your debit card. You don't need any of these things now. Of course you may get out there and lose their money not having any money to get home or something like that. If you're going to be doing something like that. I mean not. Now get one hundred dollars on your wallet to car ride home or whatever you need but you don't set yourself up to where it's easy to go off. I personally have never gotten credit casino. Even though they're always trying to give it to me why have. I never gotten credited casino. Because i know they'll give me a whole lot of credit. And i don't wanna lose or have the potential to lose a whole lot of money even though it would make life a little bit easier to know it could go to the casino and they just give me one hundred k now. We had never have to take money to the casino right than wire it to them or whatever after the fact so it's not worth it. I don't want to have that tiny possibility that in some world i ended up going offer a whole load of money for no real reason. Even though i know that's not even meet right. Like i know that's not even but i recognize good.

"If you're not making enough money to save you need to make more, right? But grant saboteur this article says you don't necessarily need to make more you need to find ways to save more. So we also talk about this. Sometimes people have a tendency to spend what they make right, right? So that kind of goes back to it as well. So what you need to do. Obviously is spend less. Okay. He doubtless. Okay. Bye cheaper. Clothes. Okay. But, you know, a few dollars here, and there that might not lead to retirement this guy suggests that if you're living in a house or a big fancy apartment, you know, you downsize into something much cheaper move out of your house sell your house move into an apartment used the money from the house to invest or save. Okay. So we're not saying that this is necessarily what everybody needs to do just saying, that's what this guy this guy is. So, you know, if your life situation like you were talking about before that might put a kink in that whole concept of moving from a house to an apartment, right? I mean, if you've got four kids, and you're moving two bedroom apartment that's gonna be awkward, right? A lot of people are not willing to make the sacrifices that you. Everybody says they want to be rich. They wanna retire whatever. But a lot of people are not willing to make the sacrifices that go along with it. Right. So realistically, you know, if you're not going to sell your your SUV or your minivan, especially if you do have a family, right? Right. You're not going to sell the family minivan, and by old, you know, twenty five hundred dollar beater because do you need the minivan? Right. And you're not gonna move out of your big house and into it a little apartment because she got two kids or three kids or whatever. So the other thing that he talks about though is something that we do always talk about is get a side hustle. Find another way to generate income, okay. You know, everybody has a job and almost everybody needs another way to make more money. And that is something that we talk about all the time because we know that most people need to or want to make more money and trading is a fantastic side hustle. Yeah. I think though that when he's talking about a side hustle. He's talking about like being a dog Walker yet. He's talking about something that you would do on the weekends to fill up the rest of your time where you'd normally be relaxing a little bit. If this is your first time listening to the OT a radio show.
