In today's show I'll be breaking down the latest technical analysis as well as a target for the next cycle top of a hundred and thirty seven thousand dollars in August 2024. And quoting the high priest of Bitcoin, Max Keiser, fiat money always leads to war. Bitcoin always leads to peace. Fiat money monetizes war. Bitcoin monetizes peace. Fiat money equals hate and fear. Bitcoin equals peace and love. Fiat money is hell. Bitcoin is heaven. Choose wisely. Also in today's show, did you know Bitcoin is 2023's best performing asset amongst 40 wealth classes? That's right. Also Joe Rogan says Bitcoin can become a universal currency. And welcome everyone just joining us. This is pod episode number 1424. I'm your host JV and today is October 7th, 2023. Let's kick off today's show with our market watch as we do each and every day. We can see the majority of the crypto market currently correcting back in the red Bitcoin unable to recapture 28 ,000 and remain above as we're currently just under that level. We also have ether correcting BNB XRP Solana and Cardano and checking out coinmarketcap .com. We're currently sitting at one point zero nine trillion as far as the market cap with roughly 18 billion in volume in the past 24 hours with a Bitcoin dominance on the climb just under 50 percent at forty nine point nine percent precisely according to coinmarketcap with the ether dominance on the decline at 18 percent. And my question for all of you, how high do you think the Bitcoin dominance is likely to climb for this cycle? Do you think we can hit 60 or even 70 percent? Let me know your honest thoughts. And as you know, at the end of the show, I'll be reading everyone's comments out loud as this is a live and interactive show and checking out the top 100 crypto gainers of the past 24 hours. We got trust wallet token as the top gainer up 10 percent, trading just over a buck, followed by excess up almost three percent, trading at five dollars and fifty one cents, followed by dy dx up a modest two point seven percent, trading just above two bucks and check in now. Ultimately, crypto bubbles dot net. It shows you the top 100 gainers for the past week. You can see most of the top cryptos are actually in the red and corrected with a handful in the red with the top gainers TWT up nine percent and PLS of six point seven percent. And checking out the crypto greed and fear index, one of my favorite indicators, hence why we share it every day. Currently rated a forty nine, which is neutral. Yesterday was a fifty last week, a forty seven neutral and last month a forty one in fear. So there you have it, fam. How many of you are bullish for Bitcoin here in October? Let me know and let's send this Bitcoin price action to the moon, shall we? Now, welcome, everyone. Once again, just joining us. Let me know where you're tuning in from. Now let's dive into today's Bitcoin technical analysis. And I have a very bullish target as well to share with you. So let's break this baby down. Bitcoin's price went on a roller coaster in the past 24 hours with moves of up to one thousand dollars, with most of the alt coins slightly in the green for today. But Bitcoin's dominance had continued to increase and has neared 50 percent. That's a great sign. I'd say that is the line in the sand for the king crypto. Now, the business week started on a high note for the primary crypto, which skyrocketed by fifteen hundred dollars in a day and a half and tapped the six week peak at just over twenty eight thousand five hundred dollars. However, that enthusiasm among the community didn't last long and Bitcoin quickly lost almost all of its momentum, returning back to just over twenty seven thousand and spent the next few days there. Then it tried to surge past twenty eight thousand on a few occasions at the end of the week, but was ultimately stopped with the latest attempt, which came earlier today when Bitcoin spiked to twenty eight thousand three fifty. And this came right before the price drop. Nevertheless, Bitcoin failed there once more and currently sits just around the coveted twenty eight thousand dollar level. Its market cap had soared five hundred and four five hundred forty six billion on coin market cap and its dominance over the alt tech kept increasing to currently forty nine point nine percent, which is its highest in weeks. Say goodbye to your credit card rewards. Big box retailers led by Wal -Mart and Target are pushing for a bill in Congress to take away your hard earned cash back and travel points to line their pockets. Senate Bill eighteen thirty eight would enact harmful credit card routing mandates that would end credit card rewards as we know it. If you love your credit card rewards, visit hands off my rewards dot com and tell them to oppose credit card routing legislation paid for by the Electronic Payments Coalition. Now let's discuss some of the alts. Matic, most alt coins face similar volatility over the past twenty four hours, but sit slightly in the green. We have a theory on Binance Coin, Ripple, Doge, Bitcoin Cash, and they all just jump by under one percent. And top performer adding four and a half percent of value and currently sits just inches below sixty cents. With most other lower and mid cap alts trading slightly in the green, the total crypto market cap increased by about ten billion sitting just above one point one trillion dollars. Now which alt coins, if any, are you most bullish on? Let me know in the comments below. Now here's some analysis coming from Titan of crypto. He wrote Bitcoin's next cycle top at a hundred and thirty seven thousand dollars. Let me know if you agree or disagree with this prediction. He also says using the price realized Bitcoin and drawing the trend lines from a cycle bottom to one cycle top after a potential price target for the next cycle top emerges. And as he points out here alongside this chart, one hundred and thirty seven thousand dollars and it would occur in August of twenty twenty four. Do you believe it's a realistic target? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

"Mike Gallagher. Mike, I don't see why everybody's having such a hard time thinking Trump can't win or could win. He will win for one reason. Based on his job as president before and Joe Biden's job as president now, that's enough to make people say, hey, we need Trump back. What you need to do, tell us the companies that refuse to support X. We need to know who they are so we don't have to buy their products. Thanks a lot. Good day. Yeah, Mike, I think there's something more here than just a land dispute. I don't even think it's that. I think all this is about race. It's about hating white people and hating Western culture. I think if the Jewish people were people of color and the Palestinians were white, I think that these people that you see protesting would be siding with Israel. This is a great point that that caller raises. Have you noticed how the officials in all these communities are defending the anti-Semites? Have you noticed how many of them in these communities like Oakland are siding with the people who hate the Jews? Can you imagine siding with a bunch of bigots who hated black people or Muslims? Did Disney just learn a lesson about the phrase go woke and go broke? The House of Mouse putting out a financial statement that seems to acknowledge that it's controversial political and social agenda is costing the company and shareholders. The document says we face risks relating to misalignment with public and consumer tastes and preferences for entertainment, travel and consumer products. But Disney isn't the only company that's facing a woke reckoning in the relief factor dot com studios. Here's Mike. Doggone, I'm so disappointed, I thought we had a big donor to let me take them to dinner for our Angel Tree campaign. I mean, poor Tracy was on the phone for nearly an hour with this lady in Ohio. Obviously, they become bosom buddies. I mean, I tell you what, I don't know. I don't know what in the world. Poor lady. I mean, she was trying to make a donation and the credit card didn't go through. And of course, that's how you make the donation to our Angel Tree campaign. We're like right now, we're seventy four hundred dollars away from hitting our halfway point in our big campaign to deliver Christmas presents to the sons and daughters of people who are in prison. It's the Angel Tree campaign. This is a big Christmas tradition here at The Mike Gallagher Show. And I had it in my head. I want us to hit two thousand today. Right. So I thought if we could hit two thousand today, we'll be halfway there before even December starts. Our goal is four thousand kids, one hundred thousand dollars to raise to deliver Christmas gifts to four thousand children. They're going to get Bibles. They're going to get a message that's personalized from their mom or dad or maybe their mom and dad in prison. A lot of these kids have both parents incarcerated. And the prison fellowship ministry is just a beautiful, beautiful thing. And we thought I came up with a goofy idea. I said, you know what? If you could at that time, we were like eighty five, eighty four hundred dollars short or eighty five hundred dollars short. I said, if you donate eighty five hundred dollars today, I'll fly to you and take you out to dinner. And there was a nice lady, I think her name was Deb from Ohio, and she's on the car and she's calling her husband and all of that. Well, the credit card doesn't work. And sometimes that happens. Sometimes it's a fraud thing. Maybe Deb can work it out, but it doesn't look like that donation came through. So we are right now two hundred and ninety six children away from hitting the halfway port. My personal goal of two thousand kids were only two hundred and ninety six kids away. That's seventy four hundred bucks. So since the lady with the credit card didn't come wasn't able to come through, I'm counting on you. This is Christmas time around here. We get excited. You know what you do when you're surrounded by evil? You do good. You do God's work. This is a special blessing that these children will get. And it's an amazing, amazing opportunity for you to spread God's love and God's word. We're called to do this. You understand, it's not just the Christmas presents these kids get, but they get the gospel. And a lot of these kids turn their lives over to the Lord and they don't go down the same path as their mom or dad. You're worried about crime in America? We all are, right? Well, how about spreading God's love to the children of incarcerated parents for a gift of one hundred and twenty five dollars? You'll bless five children of these prisoners with personalized Christmas presents and a note from their incarcerated parent. Every angel tree family gets access to a free, easy to read copy of the Bible in English or Spanish. Now, there's still time to make Christmas special. And again, if I can get we're right now at seven hundred and four children, right? So we're two hundred and ninety six children away. Come on. I know I've got two hundred and ninety six people who will donate twenty five dollars. That's all I'm asking. If you go to Mike online dot com and click on the angel tree banner at the top of the page right now. I got I got grief from Les in Sacramento who said, you've got to stop promising to sing. You're hurting donations. No, I think the singing works. Let the haters hate. If you get me to two thousand in the next twenty five minutes, I'm going to sing another upbeat rendition of Joy to the World and put you in the Christmas spirit like nobody else can. So please go to Mike online dot com. We need two hundred and ninety six Mike Gallagher show listeners to donate twenty five dollars. That's it. Now, obviously, if you can if you can donate more, we'll get there. We'll get there faster. But if we hit two thousand in the next 20 minutes, I'm going to sing Joy to the World, whether Les in Sacramento likes it or not. I'm going to belt it out. And I know I'm not as good as I think I am, but I'm going to sing it. Please go to Mike online dot com, click on that angel tree banner at the top of the page and you'll see the counter. You're going to see where we are right now. We're at seven hundred and four kids. If we can get to two thousand and then I know it's a lot. I'm asking for a couple. How many is that? A hundred people donating fifty bucks. Is that right? Is that my math right on that? Huh? What'd you say? I mean, wait a minute. We got line two, maybe a big donation. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Should I take this on air? Jeff and Chico, California. Jeff, are you are you real or are you are you a troll? I listen to I listen to you every day and I get pretty disgusted with you sometimes. And I think you blocked me. But I am right. Why do you get disgusted with me? Why would give me an example of what causes disgust? Well, I want to see you out there carrying the torch, which you do on air. And I love you and we love you for that. But I don't know if you'd really I get the feeling sometimes, Mike, that you really wouldn't back it up if we needed you out there like the civil rights movement. I'm 50. I was born in 58. Excuse me. But I admire these people that went out there and did that. But it is so twisted and warped now. I mean, it's I just can't describe. But I'm I'm losing you here. What are you what do you get upset with me about what I wouldn't carry a torch? I don't think I don't think you would have been one of the guys out there just and I could be wrong. But you have a great platform and a lot of guys. I work with a bunch of guys. Thirty five years. A lot of talkers. And I'm saying I don't think you would be out there. I don't think you would be out. What does that mean out there? Where I'm putting myself out there every single day. What do you want me to do? No, you are. You are. Should I cut my wrist here? You want me to bleed on air? What would you like me to do that I'm not doing? What can I do, Jeff, to make you? And see, I don't know why. And Eric told me to take you because you were going to make a big donation. I mean, I want to. I do. But I think it's dropped down a little bit. And then that poor lady, it fell through. But I guarantee you, I don't know if you're willing to fly out here or not, because if we went to dinner, I don't know that you'd have a good dinner with me because I am a tough kid. I don't understand what your beef is with me. I'm trying to understand what you're upset about. Because a lot of times when I'm sitting here listening to what you're saying, I agree so much. But then I listen to some of these other people who you give a, you know, a microphone or their opinion to. And I go, my God. Right, like you. I like to give platforms and voice. I like people to have a voice. It's a caller-driven show. Well, Jeff, I'm not sure I'm understanding any of it. I appreciate very much your call. Hey, Eric Hanson, can you come over here? We've got Eric Hanson, who's been screening the calls, was very excited about Jeff in Chico, California.

Fresh "Five Hundred Dollar" from Bloomberg Surveillance
"Strong adoption for our x and as the charging infrastructure continues to be more robust we think that's gonna drive adoption well as having affordable evie's that was married by that the general motors chat and c e o in many ways that conversation didn't really matter what did was just a number ten billion dollar buyback biggest buyback ever at the end and you have to consider that before that was announced the market cap was forty billion dollars ten billion maybe to apple or something you know drop in the ocean nothing to gm that's cash that's a monster buyback after agreeing to a huge labor contract only a few weeks previously there are a couple of questions embedded in why now and i think you got them with mary barra in your conversation yesterday one of them is does this suggest there isn't a better place to invest right now that returning capital to shareholders rather than focusing on growing sales in growing revenues in other areas might be a more attractive proposition the second thing is going going forward how difficult is it going to be to have pricing power given the competition you're seeing overseas well going forward we've got some new outlooks the latest from ford this morning a new range for 2023 adjusted earnings before interest 10 billion to 10 .5 billion the previous range before suspending guidance 11 to 12 we've got a lot to talk about we can do that now with john lawler ford cfo good morning john good morning let's talk about it where is it where's my 10 billion dollar buyback why a different approach from unity well we have a great plan in our ford plus plan and we're focused on in growth in profitability and through that rewarding our shareholders with a higher price plus also paying out 40 to 50 percent of our free cash flow in dividends and so we're investing in the business we have three great segments that are growth segments ford pro our commercial business margins in the mid teens for us that's very high in our industry profits are going to almost double this year more than double this year and we have a great opportunity with the moats we have to drive significant costs profitability are going up as well so let's talk about the labor contract nine hundred dollars to the cost cost of each car off the back of the u a w contract now just for our audience because you're aware of these figures already gm who we spoke to yesterday are at 575. i'm still trying to sit here and work out how do we get from 575 gm and 900 to the cost of each car at ford what is that well when you look at it we're five hundred dollars to start in 2024 and that grows over time as wages increase the biggest increase in this contract is gross wage increase it's significant over 25 percent and then our footprint in the u .s is bigger than general motors but um the rest of that i'm not exactly sure why their number is that much lower than ours that's something that would have to unpack with them we know what we've this done with contract we know what the start point is it's 60 to 70 basis points on our income statement basis and now what we need to do is we need to work on driving productivity and efficiencies and reducing the labor hours the hours it takes to build a vehicle and reducing that cost and that's what we're going to be focused on going forward. So it's going to be cost reductions rather than trying to raise prices for the end consumer is that right well now you have to think about pricing differently in our industry because all segments aren't the same there's different pricing power across the segments that's why we feel that what we did in segmenting the business and having the transparency around that it's important if you look at the commercial business in pro we believe they're still pent up demand and pricing power there however in blue in the more of the retail consumer segment you're going to see prices come down we've been consistent talking about that back in 13 13 .4 of disposable income to buy a vehicle went up 15 to .7 in 2022 it's down to 14 .5 roughly now we see that coming back to 13 .4 percent as you move through 2024 when you talk about lower price points I think about some of car the Chinese manufacturers and the production much more cheaply of electric vehicles in particular that are really making a competitive advantage how do you compete with them especially given the labor contracts and some of of the other working operating costs that you're dealing with yeah it's a good point and that's something that we're very focused on again the segmentation each segment is different we've seen prices come down in the electric segment much quicker than we expected and the reason for that is that we're moving out of the early adopters who are willing to pay for for higher prices early majority customers aren't they're not willing to pay that premium so we're seeing those come down and we expect them to equalize with gas prices so it's all going to be about cost and efficiency capital efficiency etc we have to get more competitive on cost and that's what we're focused on in our second generation and third generation vehicles what is happening with demand in the EVs what is happening is this real pushback that changes your approach I think what it is is it's the adoption rate it's that flatter than what we had expected the increase isn't as great fifty percent up year this from sales standpoint so they're coming it's going to be part of the industry eventually higher growth rates so we have to adjust our capital investment we have to adjust our approach in the near term that sounds like a change change in execution not strategy absolutely it is a change in execution not strategy so let's talk about the numbers you've pushed out 12 billion in EV related investments should we expect to see a little bit more of that going on depends the on customer and the adoption rate and how that pushes out if the adoption rate starts to grow faster will increase investments our capital let's go through the guide I've got two points sure I want to see if these are still up to date so you did expect the half sales to be electric vehicles by 2030 still the case no we think it's going to be less than that how much less will it be John we haven't put a number on that yet we're still looking at what that rate will be I think we'll know more as we go through next year is it the same for margins on those EVs as well Jeff to reassess how big those margins will be yeah I think as the industry readjust you have to look at that but we're targeting we set up our business structure and we think the right target is around the 8 % are high single digits you said that you're very focused on trying to be competitive in the EV spice on price is that and we asked about margin compression you're basically saying we're gonna see as we go on what the competitive landscape looks like but how do you plan to reduce costs is it going to be with job cuts is it going to be with more automation so absolutely yes automation that is going to be a key part of what we do now when you look at this contract also it's important to understand for us where the battery plants are and battery plants aren't part of the contract and so that's important for vertical integration and when you're talking about electric vehicles battery and design is really important in the efficiency of that battery and getting the smallest battery possible in so that second generation design is going to be critical from a cost standpoint and then overall for us as a company we have work to do on our cost and quality and we're focused on that we've made significant progress over the last few years we restructured international operations we moved out of autonomous vehicles and pulled capital investment out of that focused on l2 we the have best driving system out there in blue cruise according to consumer reports so we're making the adjustments as we go. When you talk about automation and you know there's a question around job cuts and how much this will reduce the number overall of workers who will have to be employed to make cars is that what what you foresee that there is going to be a fewer team of professionals that are creating vehicles in say five years think today at the Ford plants. So in certain areas there may be in other areas we see growth. The key is driving efficiency and productivity so more coming out per unit of labor doesn't necessarily mean you take the labor out yet you get more productivity. That's what we

A highlight from Matt eats two croissants so he is not limping around and suggests to grab some nuts!! Rich and Cindy Crawford were working for the same company at the same time but they got separated! Episode #404 August 3rd. 2023
"Hello Divine People, August 3rd, 2023, episode 404, just starting with Rich on this side and Matt on this side. You used to be like Rich on this mic and Matt on this mic. I'm trying to confuse you sometimes. Well, you know, now I'm on my game now. You were thinking for a second, what are you going to say? I had a couple of croissants. Oh, you did? Yeah. I promised you one. You promised me one and you gave me two. Yeah, because you know what they... It's delicious. You know what they say in our country? If you're drinking shots of vodka or something, then you do one in a friend's house or something. He's going to say, take another one because you're going to be limping. That's for the other foot. Excuses. People find excuses. You drink one shot. Excuse to get another shot. So you'll be limping, right? So the problem is, men actually don't have only two feet. Do I have to think about maybe two and a half shots? Yeah, it was delicious. So you got two croissants, so you were not limping. It had chocolate in it and all kinds of nuts. I promised you one with nuts and chocolate, Belgian chocolate. That's what we do. Belgian chocolate, croissant, nice, crispy, fluffy, and just the best thing. And now you'll have to listen to me complain. I already started complaining. I mean, I was blessed with a croissant. It tastes great. And now I'll go, oh, it's going to bloat me a little bit. And I'm going to have salt retention and a little extra water weight. So I'll cry baby about it. And then in another 12 hours, I'll be back to normal. If I look into your body, those two croissants already lost their... Your body doesn't even know that you have been there two croissants visiting. They were delicious. I just want to recommend people to, you know, we said, well, we have 30 different croissants. 70 different croissants. Yeah, but I meant like the dessert one, 70 dessert ones. No, 30. Yeah, I thought my number was right. Yeah, you're right. So anyway, I just want to encourage people because man, they are just tasty. They're so crisp and hot. And you gave me me right away and I was on the run. You know, I was busy, right? And I had that thing next to me as I was driving around. Yeah. And I thought, well, I'll just wait till I, you know, get where I am. Not first intersection, mate. It was open by then. I know it. And then I ate one in the middle because I know that's where the best stuff is, right? And then I said, oh, this is too good. And so started nibbling on the ends. Yeah. You know how I get to the ends are a little smaller. The crispiest. Yeah, but it doesn't have all the stuff. Because I want to save the middle. My favorite's the middle with everything. A steady stream of high profile names from the US have visited China recently including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, tech giants Bill Yates, Tim Cook and Elon Musk. But China, well is it a friend of American businesses or a foe? A new CNBC documentary called China's Corporate Spy Wars set to air tonight and the network says it reveals the depths of China's efforts to steal American technology and how much of a threat its efforts are to the future of the American economy. Joining us now live to talk more about it is CNBC's senior Washington correspondent Eamonn Javers. Eamonn thanks so much for being with us. So what kind of spying tactics are we talking about here and which US companies have been targeted? Hey guys thanks so much for having me. You know this really reminded me a lot of you know a Cold War spy thriller except you know the targets aren't here the Pentagon or the White House like you might have thought about Russian spies during the Cold War trying to reach into Washington. The targets in this case are Chinese spies trying to reach into corporate boardrooms and corporate engineering factory floors to try to get access to the technology that keeps the US economy humming. And the central we case cover that in the documentary that airs tonight is an attempt by the Chinese Ministry of State Security to penetrate GE Aviation and get access to this fan blade composite technology for jet engines, that it's the absolute cornerstone of making a profitable jet engine and a profitable airline company in the modern era. The Chinese government was desperate to get this technology and they sent their Ministry of State Security spy to try get to it out of GE Aviation's engineering department. A fascinating operation. Hmm. Amen. Is China trying truly to wreck the US economy? You know, when you talk to US intelligence officials like we did for this program, you know, they say that corporate America doesn't get it. They say that American CEOs think generally that what's going on here is, you know, there's theft because the Chinese companies want to catch up to American companies, they want to narrow the gap, but it's expensive, it's a pain, it's but not really an existential threat. And you talk to US intelligence and they say, you know, actually what's going on is they to want steal the technology, give it to Chinese state -owned companies who are state champions, and then do what they can to subsidize those companies so they can outcompete the American competitor and eliminate, in many cases, the American competitor. They want to take those chess pieces off the board economically in terms of the global economy. Eamonn, thanks so much. We'll look forward to watching tonight. Thanks for having me. Really appreciate it. Again, that's CNBC senior Washington correspondent Eamonn Javers. The documentary airs tonight at 10 on, of course, CNBC. ABC. What's the latest on the situation down in your state and what kind of federal emergency assistance will president biden be authorizing. Well we have all hands on deck down here. We issued a priest storm disaster declaration and then in the middle of the night after the storm hit. The president signed a disaster declaration so that freed up individual assistance for families and individuals and we still encourage people to go to disaster assistance dot gov and apply for benefits and especially those critical needs assistance. So that we can get money in the hands of people To do it and one of the reasons why the president wanted to come down and come down so early because he wanted to see things on the ground and we know what the problems on. we're actually Helping to resolve them and that is getting power back on in homes. Paying for College and Curbing Student Debt
"I heard about sharing kelly in her massive college debt through josh mitchell. I'm an economics reporter at the wall street journal in washington. Dc josh covered student debt at the journal for nearly a decade. And he's just written a book out this month about the federal student loan program and its history called the debt trap. How student loans became a national catastrophe. The idea of the federal government lending students money for college originated after world war two with a gi bill. There was a provision that offered qualified servicemembers five hundred dollars a year for college of continuing education gi bill. It wasn't until the late nineteen fifties under president. Whitey eisenhower that other groups became eligible for college aid. Josh says the idea took off shortly after another launch when russia sent its sputnik satellite into space. A new moon in the sky at twenty three inch metal sphere placed in orbit by a russian is super excited to read in your book that it was scientists who implored lawmakers and even the president at the time to come up with a way to get more. American students enrolled in science and engineering president. Eisenhower who was a small government type of republican really did not want the government to get involved in higher education. He felt like that was a state issue but there was this pivotal meeting that he had with scientists less than two weeks after sputnik launched. These were like top scientists in the united states including ceo's of big companies and they basically said You have to act now. You know if we don't act now if we don't get more people into science education. We're going to fall behind

Jake Recaps an Unreal $40K Weekend
"Jake you had a good weekend. You finish eighth in the five hundred dollar bracelet event for almost nine k. You chopped the party to fifteen major for six point five k. And you finished second in the w three twenty one hundred k. Guaranteed whilst heads up to a ten cents and go grindr which that got so so you got. You got twenty three for that. So that's what people wanna talk about. Is that that specific tournament score both burkey matt burke who you've had on the show software why he was streaming it with you at his table from maybe fourteen down and he made the final table as well and it was one of the more wild just rides to the final table. It was pretty crazy. I mean it's funny. How things can change so quickly. Because i mean i basically the chip lead from like i think eighty cash biscuit the chip lead from when the money head down to maybe like sixteen or seventeen and then all of a sudden. We're basically like there's twelve left. Eleven that them on the bubble. And it's like there's and on my table. It's me burkey Vlad was was a turning rag Another attorney rag. And i'll emc each in then the other table go now. The goat was on the other table. Chair Whenever his name was hammy or whatever you know jamming fish that ended up winning it Who was just like a total wild card and so it was i. I was actually fortunate to be pretty card debt and not really have like any like supergirl spots we final table. I literally the first hand this final table. This this guy opens under the gun and then calls like twenty blind region with queens suited And i'm like and i had to like i wasn't even like jan j hammy called with the quincy to raise called. Maybe two hands later. I mean it was just it was just wild. It was like he basically just like would randomly go and pre flop for any amount and he would call any amount like it was actually kinda gross. Because with like five left's i think I was five or five. And i had like seventeen blinds. Ali opens the cutoff and have an incredibly easy region with sixes on the button. But i'm man like obviously this is just like a amazing spot but this guy might call with jack antonoff from big blind like he's stole the chip lead end up getting through and didn't really face any. Ah of those like crazy hands until we got ended up getting heads

The Bernard Lee Poker Show
Bernard Lee Chats With Poker Pro Johnnie Vibes Moreno
"You have been playing cash for many years well over a decade and kind of mistakes cash. We're not talking high nose bleed kind of what is it. Been like for that because we will talk about your youtube presence. You're logging in how that really is taken off. But well prior to that you were poker player. It's not that you are of vlogger that plays poker. It's really the other way around. Is that you played poker for so many years and kind of logging has kind of come into this space how was it and what were your trials and tribulations playing cash poker for a living because everyone loves seeing the big scores but people don't understand the grind sometimes of six sessions in a row where you don't win everyone's happy when we have a twenty five hundred five thousand dollar pot and can show it on on air but how many times do you struggle struggle struggle and flush dr doesn't get there or you flopped upset and they get run a runner and now you're going home with you know only job in the world where you can work x. number of hours and go home poor right. I mean it's very rare that that happens talk about your trials and tribulations in how it got to the point where you really felt like you could steadily make a living at this. Because it's really hard. I remember the first day that i left my job as a software developer with 401k health benefits and all these things i remember thinking like if i if i don't make good money playing poker i can always go back and get offered job again and you know the i i i was doing. I was doing well right out of the gate. But you gotta keep in mind that it wasn't that difficult to make money playing cash game poker if you had a solid strategy fifteen years ago because the money was everybody you could find a two five game anywhere that was great and you know there was probably one hundred to five games on any given night in las vegas during this time so i i was doing well but naturally as you progress in any career you want to make more money than the previous year and you want to get better and you want to further your career and you know. That's that's easy to do. Fifteen years ago and poker. You know you could start applying one three. You can make thirty five thousand dollars that first year. Feel like it was amazing but the next year. You know your your goals maybe fifty thousand in the next year your goals. Maybe seventy five thousand. But then you reach a point where you're making around one hundred hundred twenty five thousand dollars a year and you realize that in order to make more than that you need to get substantially better. You need to find better games and the games needs to be big and what's interesting about. That is poker. Games were shrinking. They were getting smaller over the course of the last five to ten years and they were getting tougher. So no i even if even if you got better in your own poker game it didn't ensure that you were gonna make more money than the next year right. I remember i kind of plateaued about six years ago. Where i was in the one hundred to one hundred twenty five thousand dollar a year range and i didn't really see gray prospects for making more than that and and just as a natural Ambitious human being. That started sparking me. Like what else can i do to ignite passion in the game. And what else can. I do to keep things interesting for me. And that's kind of how you know. Creating the poker channel came about My my five ten game had died. That i was playing in san diego on a consistent basis. That game was no more. So i was in a precarious spot. Where how am. I going to continue to make this good money with smaller games and i thought it would be a perfect time to start a new project and i remember those first couple of episodes that i started. I didn't think anybody's gonna watch him. I was just. I was just trying to get better at public speaking. And you know perhaps china Develop some other avenues of interest at a time. When i was unsure where the cash games could take me As far as the ceiling was and it it took off after the seventh episode. When i lost sixty five hundred dollars in a in five ten in in one session. I picked up the camera and put it in my face and i was like this sucks because like this game doesn't run twenty four hours anymore. I got like eight hours a day. That i can play this game. It might take me a while to win back. Sixty five hundred kind of share that on my youtube channel and algorithm picked it up. And they're like wow. This is a real poker player. That's making youtube videos. So i think that the looting to what you talked about before. I wasn't scared to talk talk about my thought process. I wasn't scared to say how i played hands. I was competent and my poker game. I think one thing that a lot of people have have happened as their newer poker players that are making you content so they're kind of more Afraid to just say what happened right and like you know because people are gonna show up in the comments and be like oh you played that like an idiot or what. Are you doing three batting without hand but for me. My confidence in my overall poker game. That part didn't bother me like if you were gonna talk crap about my game in the comments. I was fine with that. You know and i think that. That's what destroys a lot of people in the early stages shirt will have that confidence in know the when you sign yourself up for youtube comments the youtube comments they're gonna come come

How This Investment Could Change Your Kid's Future with Christy Wright
"The other day. My friend told me the story. And i was like what's so. He said that his mentor years and years ago said to him. Hey are you investing for your kids future and my friend at the time didn't have kids and he was like no i don't have kids in. His mentor. was like listen the earlier. You start saving for your kids and their future. The better off. they're going to be. You're going to be because he knew little something compound interest so he kept asking my friend over and over for like two or three years. Hey have you opened up an account for your kids. Hey have you account for your kids like no no. No no no and finally has been towards that okay. Listen i'll match whatever money you put in. I will match you. Because i want you to start investing for your kids future. So whether you've been in two thousand dollars i'll match it or put in two hundred. I'll match it but i wanna help you because i want you to be motivated to do this because you are going to be so. So thankful well. He finally took him up on it one day and he said okay. I'm gonna do this so with little. He was doing neck and fast forward. You guys almost two decades each of his kids when they turn eighteen. He hands the accounts over to them. And these accounts you guys had over two hundred thousand dollars in them just because he started so early and was consistent. I mean is that not insane. That is so so crazy and the great thing is they're able to use that money some use it for schools. Some of them used it for their wedding or they use it for down payment on their first home and guys that is the power not just con- insurance but the power of changing your family tree thinking so far ahead because it is crazy which is five hundred dollars. Gambling Podcast: You Can Bet on That
Low Rolling at High-Limit Craps
"Are some of your suggestions for a low limit player at a high limit. Craps table okay. Here's the first thing i'm going to say. I'm going to preface all my suggestions by saying this okay. The very first thing you need to do is set some restrictions on yourself so this may not work for everybody because you have to know your own self and you may not be able to live with restrictions. Okay but you do have to have some restrictions. If you're gonna do this number one restriction is you have to set a time when you're gonna give up or leave okay. Let's say you say. Well if i double my money i'm leaving okay so it might not by lose all my buy-in i'm leaving right or if i lose half my by in i'm leaving you just have to have some well defined definition of when you're gonna leave because if you say i'm just going to stay here for eight hours. Well playing with a limited bankroll at a higher limitation. It's eventually going to eat you up right. So you're not thinking in terms of time necessarily but in event once you fit this event in an event then you walk. Your time is limited. Play thirty minutes. And i'll be happy with that and leave okay. Maybe you can do that if it's a short time maybe okay but you can't say i'm going to say here all day and play this table. It's not going to happen crafts. Okay right eventually. You'll lose eventually gonna hit a bad streak and you're going to be out because as we know. Craps is a game of ups and downs. And honestly you're really sitting there hoping for the big role the big role and a lot of times. There's only one big role in session or a day or a day. Or maybe none allen but you're hoping for that big role so you're wanting enough of a bankroll that you can wait it out right so you can wade through the bad role. This is a very general statement about crabs. That would apply to anybody exactly anybody nope no matter what. But if you're on a limited bankroll it's even more important because you have this limited bankrupt. The second thing i want to say is that you probably should define amount of money that you think you can live with. Now if you're playing on a twenty five dollar table and you think well. I'm a low roller into buying with one hundred bucks. Well there's no way to play on that table with one hundred bucks okay or something. Just you put fifty bucks out there. You make to bats at seven out in your money half gone and you know you could be gone really really quit right so i think that really played twenty five dollar table. You're going to need between three and five hundred dollar

"So let's talk about pricing. This is one of the areas that so many entrepreneurs struggle with i know i myself did the first story i want to share with. You is when. I came to southern california and i decided i wanted to be a personal trainer. What i did was ask around to figure out what everyone else was charging. An i determined what my price would be based on going lower than everybody else not the best pricing strategy and. I'll just tell you. Transparently that. The reason why i did that is because i didn't value what it was. I had to offer a classic case of imposter syndrome now. I was a very confident individual. I was even confident in my own knowledge and ability. But when i thought of other people who did the same thing that i was doing i thought about how much more experienced they were. I thought about how much more well known they were. And that made me feel like. I didn't belong there and that i didn't deserve to charge the same rate that some of my competitors charging so i charged forty dollars an hour when i knew there are other trainers charging a minimum of sixty five dollars an hour. Today i pay my own personal trainer. One hundred eighty five dollars an hour and there are still trainers out. There charging forty dollars an hour and here. We are twenty years later. I would bet that there are trainers out there. Maybe even trainers listening to this episode right now who are charging forty fifty sixty dollars an hour and they're far more knowledgeable and perhaps even more experienced than the trainers who were charging hundred seventy five two hundred dollars five hundred dollars an hour and if that higher priced trainer has a full schedule they also are enjoying a lot more freedom

The Hero from Season One
"It's time for another installment of si-hun it's still alive and this time we're going back to season one episode twenty-six the hero and it premiered on july fifth nineteen fifty eight sixty three years ago on my third birthday. The hero opens up with mike underwater. Telling us these working with. Dr george snider on a project to turn ocean plants into food. Apparently they need funding for their research. And that's where a millionaire elliot conway and his wife. Gloria come in you see. Elliot is a big game hunter and he wants to take his hunting underwater and he wants to hunt for sharks and giant squid only problem. He doesn't know how to dive. He needs mike to teach him and gloria so he can bag. What's down there. Mike price five thousand dollars now since it's going to research glorious says it's a worthy cause and a tax write off elliot agrees to pay like twenty five hundred dollars upfront and the remaining twenty five hundred when he gets his first shark. So now they're off to a place known for sharks portable ongko and they go in elliott's private plane and that plane. Looks like a dc. Three named misguided gal now. Puerto blanco is on the west coast of south america. A small fishing village with a new hotel. Not much more. Just as they're getting off the plane guy comes running up and he introduces himself as dr gomez. Any needs to use of elliott's plane to get a sick child to a hospital over three hours away. Elliot agrees so now. They're all set to start their scuba training. And mike tells. Gloria things will be okay if elliott follows all precautions glorious says he never does mikes response he better now before they start training mike scouts out the deep area offshore for sharks. We see a variety of sharks white tips black tips and even some clown fish interesting. Now we start to see what scuba training was like in nineteen fifty eight. Mike takes the couple through snorkeling skills and then talks about how the equipment is delicate and technical. He tells them there is only one way and that is safely theory in practice. That's what it takes. But elliott is getting impatient in the next scene we see mike demonstrating what happens when a balloon is inflated at depth and brought up boom. Goes the balloon back on the boat. Mike tells them it's called an air. Embolism and you must always excel. Exhale as you extend. Gloria asks mike. How fast and he tells her no faster than your bubbles. Elliott wants to know. When do we stop learning and go hunting. He wants his shark. Glorious says she's tired and wants to sit out the next dive. Elliot tries to coax her into diving. But mike says it's dangerous to dive if you're tired so now we switch back to the hotel and we can clearly see the tension between elliott gloria. Gloria tells mike that that elliott is a mixed up millionaire. He's an architect. Who inherited the conway oil company when his father was killed in an auto accident. Elliott doesn't want to really be an architect anymore. Just a big game hunter. Now elliott comes into the scene and he's carrying a spear gun that he's all proud of its cocked and loaded. Mike is furious and he and elliot start to argue. And in the argument elliot drops the spear gun. It goes off narrowly missing gloria and lodging in palm tree. Now we switch back underwater. Mike says elliott has be elliott has become pretty good. Shot with the spear gun. And they're shooting at this target. That set up kind of lake for archery. But mike says he just needs to stop pointing a gun at mike. Now we switch back to land where mike. Gloria elliott are working on camera to document the shark on elliott. Says he wants to order. Chicken cacciatore for dinner might tell them. Oh no that's too spicy before diving. Says okay good now. Probably order to and elliot goes off. It's just mike gloria now. Gloria tells mike she's unhappy made a big mistake in marrying elliot. Mike tries to console her and she tells mike he's sweet and she puts her head on his chest. Elliot sees this and is upset. What's going to happen when they go on the shark hunt the next morning. They are at the dive site. Mike cuisine i finds a shark and is ready to take them down for the hunt. Just as soon as you can get the bait ready now. The three of them are down below at seventy five feet. Gloria has the camera as mike elliott head off to the hunt just end we switched to the surface in a boat is approaching. Its dr gomez. He needs elliott's playing again. As you get close to the dive boat. He throws his anchor over the side and it crashes down into gloria breaking her rag might just happens to look back and sees the glory is in trouble and they both rush back elliott steps in and starts buddy breathing with gloria the sharks. Fresh off debate sense trouble. As the big one continues to circle. Mike is impressed. With elliott's calmness and sends them to the surface while mike fights a rearguard action again and he spears the big shark. We then see all the divers back on board and dr gomez says we must go sure back at the hotel. Elliott s mike. Why don't they haven't hospital here. In puerto blanco might tells him. It's always money. Justin dr gomez emerges and skulls mike for letting gloria dive in her condition. She's expecting a child in six months. And dr gomez congratulates elliott by saying congratulations senor. Now you need to take her back to the states to the hospital. That does elliott is going to build a hospital in portable. Ongko and keith tells mike it'll be done in six months. Mike says that can't be done elliott. Replies you don't know me when i go to work elliott conway the hero. You'd recognize him. That's larry hagman. J are jr ewing from dallas or tony nelson from my dream of jeannie Mike nelson tony nelson coincidence. Who knows

Xbox Is Coming to Your TV Without a Console
"There's been a lot of video game news lately but some the caught my years was that microsoft is looking to bring its xbox game pass service directly to television. That's correct the xbox game pass ultimate subscription service which you can of like microsoft's answer to video games as what net is to movies and tv. It costs fourteen ninety nine a month and currently gets you more than one hundred games on. Pc's and android tablets and phones all without an xbox console now microsoft says it wants to make the service available on more screens including working with tv's and the company is working with tv makers to embed an xbox experience to internet connected devices so basically if you have a tv and a good internet connection you can bypass the three hundred to five hundred dollars. You might spend on a console and have all your games stored in the cloud. This would certainly seem a great way to expand the xbox audience brett. I mean not. Everyone wants a console and right now not everybody can get the new console. They want because they just aren't enough out there. By the way cloud gaming could be the future games as google and amazon. Both app services running now and playstation has playstation. Now service that lets you stream games on. Pc's in addition to its game consoles amazon. Let you stream on. Pc's max amazon fire tv and on smartphones and google stadia streams games two. Tv's it uses google chromecast but it also streams games to various tablets and devices so. It's not a giant leap for a tv to have an app or a bit of software bill inside to do this. Yeah absolutely and it's interesting too because they're gonna also introduced a couple other ways you can Play xbox games. Microsoft said it's also building devices to connect just for streaming game so almost feels like a roku or chromecast but just for your xbox and it's also going to have browser gaming so you can play games on google chrome safari microsoft edge in the next few weeks. We're likely get more news from and xbox before e three in the summer game fester over because there's an xbox in but does the showcase coming up so keep listening in the days ahead as we'll break that down for you

Steps to Help You Create Your First Offer
"I wanna talk to you about your introductory offer now. I coined the term baby offer. I dunno like maybe ten years ago. And i think a baby offer is just hopefully a a way to look at the first offer that you make that is less intimidating. Oftentimes you'll hear business mentors and advisers. Tell you like dream bigger. You gotta dream big. You gotta go big. And i think that when we do that sometimes we make mistakes and we go to big and we create something that is more advanced than our lifer is ready for or more expensive than your relationship has the merit to command if that makes sense so in other words if my lifer has just this is the very first podcast you've ever listened to and you're just getting to know me and i tell you i've got this amazing course that teaches. You need to know about business marketing. And it's twenty five hundred dollars. You're not ready for that. We don't have a relationship on that level yet. I need to prove myself to you. You need to invest a much smaller dollar amount. And see that i can deliver and then some and that it works for you and that you trust my way of teaching and that creates a level of trust then allows you to make the next greater investment now. Certainly there are always exceptions to this right. Like if i have some pretty incredible marketing in place and you stumble upon an add your cold viewer or a cold audience. You don't know who i am. You haven't spent any time on my podcast. We haven't spent any time together. And you have a need and we have done an amazing job of targeting those people who already can afford or already at a level where they understand making that type of investment and the return on investment. Yeah that could happen but more often than not businesses about relationships. It's about figuring out if we trust people and how we can work together and we build on that in the way that we build on that is by creating a customer journey.

How do Income-Share Agreements Work?
"So income share agreements. Let's break down. One of the first and most well known. Examples is lambeth school. Which is a programming school. I coating school. And you don't pay tuition until you're earning fifty thousand dollars a year the way it works. If you go to lambeth school dot com you can learn more you agree to pay seventeen percent of your post lamba school salary for twenty four months. But only after you're making fifty thousand dollars a year at least and they have a cap at thirty thousand dollars so basically you never pay more than thirty thousand dollars tuition and if you don't get hired and you never pay so isn't that pretty cool like they also have options to just pay tuition up front if you're able and that's what you prefer But to me the groundbreaking thing is this income share agreement because it's allowed a lot of people from poorer countries or from a disadvantaged background to really get a world class education and then a high paying job so there are a few other schools that are offering similar programs. I just did some brief research university of utah's doing it. Purdue university But in the world of entrepreneurship to focus our discussion here most iras are from startup. incubators one of the big ones that you may have heard of. It's called y combinator and their jail is first of all very selective so you can't just apply and get in like a lot of people who apply. Don't get in but if you are accepted there deal is they will invest one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars in return for seven percent of your company. Okay and that would be great if you qualify. First of all i said and also if you need more than one hundred thousand dollars in start-up capital so there is a world in which that is the case for lots of different businesses but here on site us'll school ninety nine percents of stories that feature. You don't need anywhere near that much money. Our whole point is to do this frugal to do this on a budget. To use the resources you have instead of just trying to find somebody to invest money so the reason i essays exist which as i said overall i think they're awesome but the reason they exist is because of expensive tuition or start up costs for some businesses. You were attending college. That was affordable for your budget. Then you wouldn't need the and so two. Is it for the side. Hustle model like total startup costs five hundred dollars. Let's say which we've had hundreds of stories that fit in that category then. An essay wouldn't really be worth for either party like you don't need somebody to own. X. percentage of your company in exchange for that five hundred dollars. You should just find a way to get the five hundred dollars or less on your own so that you don't have to give up any equity in your company.

Meanwhile massachusetts their poker rooms have been closed lots of covid restrictions still up there They're removing a lot of them this weekend but Operators of the big hotels are dragging their feet as far as opening some of these rooms so neither mgm springfield nor the encore. Boston harbor have announced any plan said when their poker rooms will reopen so You know obviously completely different situation from here and several places out west but You know they're they're airing on the side of caution if they're airing it all year and Actually while you and you're talking right now. I'm actually texting my brother-in-law who works at calder. Because i was told that today they were going without masks. Sorry body just just that this weekend allow though restrictions taken down the plexiglas and all these places and You know mass or not being required anymore so things are definitely getting back to normal in in a lot of okay. So you didn't know that you were able to verify that. Yes correct okay. Very good Because i heard that are my are yesterday's meeting at work An anticipation to see what we're gonna do a casino miami. You know an magic city. The talk is highly it will probably foll- shoot right away. So i haven't confirmed that yet. But that's that seems to be the the rumor mill that they'll probably You know follow suit would call. You know we call them. Get rid of the masks in the division. So these big plexiglas Partitions coming down. I think you're pretty smart not to put those up because it's a lot of work to take him down. It was never gonna have us. You know as far as i know. Although dave i don't know when the last time you were in the casino i don't know how long ago i would imagine. It was over a month or so ago and our stadium seating sections They put plexiglas. They're probably maybe two months ago The companies who run those machines. That i guess we rent them from or whatever. The arrangement is you know. I came in one day to work. It was by where they they play. And i go are we putting up. Plexiglass that i was told by one of the attendance. Now that that was the company owns machines. That was doing that. I see i see Speaking on the ground you mentioned the ground and speaking of plexiglass This is kind of a situation that just happened. I want to pass it along. Because he's in the news again Not for anything new with helmuth or anything like that but he was playing in a tournament at the venetian twenty. Five thousand dollar high roller and i guess he got knocked out of the event and he made some kind of joke like I guess he got beat when when he had pocket nine and the guy three bed jammed with ace four from the big blind and then got an ace on the board route so i got knocked out of the event and he made a joke said how do i break these things talking about the plexiglas and when i first read it i thought wow this guy lately since he got married he's really turned into an asshole and he's always having problems and that sort of thing but when i read closer it was he was completely joking and then they had a video of it and he kind of stood on his chair and grab the top of the plexiglas and when he did it broke The whole piece broke half and So he didn't do it on purpose and he said I guess that plexiglass is not as strong as we thought it was and he handed the corner piece to the to. "That's what we have in believe suit system what we have in the belief system is it's to mental issue to make to have that control over you to make you give them money to make them give them energy and some people that take the control over for example church. They give give their position to their children. They give their position to their wife. They give position to relatives. They take over the church but they are not noted. The god have not told it. God have not given the permission to stand and preach for people and or teach people in the church is people that have dominated and they want control over you. They they feel good when they have the power over you and also make the leaving money. They can go on. Nice restaurants can travel around the world for your money. That's not their money but they use you so of course they want to control you so you don't go away. I have been in. Churches were the pastor is saying to Brain washed mental connected. Wrong connected person to the pastor and the pastor's saying you have to give me thousand dollar like that and it doesn't matter here think it's come because he's a devil. He know very well that that person having note that money but he do it for to hold the control to to see if he has still that control over. You have the control over your mind. Then he or she tells you to give or they can say that. Give me five hundred dollar the then you. I will bless you come forward here. They are on the altair and they say to to people those that have five hundred dollar. Those is coming.
