"Today. I'm going to do something a little different for this installment of your next dive normally tried to take you to a dive destination where we talk about the trip from a number of different perspectives. The travel the lodging the dive operator. Oh yeah the diving. Now we've been around the world. But today i'm going to focus on one particular dive that is almost in our backyard. It is one of the most iconic dives here in new england and that is the wreck of the chester. Polling off gloucester mass. The chester polling was a coastal tanker. That sank in a brutal storm on january tenth. Nineteen seventy seven. The tanker had just left everett massachusetts and was bound for newington new hampshire. That information is pretty consistent in the research but there is other conflicting information about where she had been. And what cargo she delivered for example some documentation said she had previously delivered kerosene to new jersey while others indicated that the heating oil was delivered to everett mass. I would suspect that delivery to everett mass to be more likely always interesting when you Doing research to get this type of inconsistency now the chester polling was bill in nineteen thirty four at mariners harbor new york by united dry docks incorporated it was originally in the plattsburgh sacconi somewhere along the line at also known as the mobile albany before getting renamed as the chester polling at the time of its sinking it was owned by the motor vessel polling brothers and that was number one inc. I wasn't able to find who was actually named after but obviously some member of the family. So that's a little bit of history about the ship now on january tenth. Nineteen seventy seven capital captain. Bert charles burgess was in command. The forecast for that day was for thirty five mile an hour winds along with fifteen to twenty foot seas. the chester polling chester. A polling left. Everett are left everett at six thirty. A m well as we all know. Forecast can be wrong. The winds built up to fifty miles per hour and to seize goddess highs. Thirty feet facing the mounting sees captain. Burge's tried to get more stability by adding more ballast but at ten thirty a m a thirty foot waves smashed into the tanker and broke it in half the captain called for abandoning the ship. Six of the seven members of the crew were saved. I believe it was the cook jail. Derosa from providence rhode island who perished the sir. The stern section of the chester polling came to rest off easter point gloucester originally in about seventy five feet of water with the bow section sinking about four miles off of eastern point in about one hundred ninety feet of water subsequent winter. Storms move the stern section to its present location about eight hundred yards off of eastern point about ninety five feet of water. I think the bottom might be a little bit deeper than that. However the stern section of the chester polling is what some folks call hollywood wreck sitting upright and is probably the most popular wreck dive off. Cape ann as that areas known. Now i- i dove the chester polling way back in july two thousand and five. It was my fortieth dive and a double dip on. The polling was part of my advanced open water class. These dyes would constitute my deep and wreck advanced. Open water dives. At that time. I was still diving in a seven. Millimeter wetsuit with the appropriate gloves and hood. I use the standard aluminum. Eighty tank with nighthawks. Thirty two. I can still remember the anxiety that had doing. The first real wreck dive in the northeast but once in the water what an amazing dive the visibility that day was thirty feet and my max step was at eighty five. Even though it was july the water temperature on iraq was fifty degrees. It was incredible to move along the deck and reach the mid mid ship section where. The tanker broken half absolutely mesmerizing but with an aluminum. Eighty you don't get much bottom time and after about fifteen minutes we headed back to the up line and after are appropriate safety. Stop we climb back aboard the boat and got ready to do it again. Total dive time was twenty six minutes the second dive that day was just as spectacular and pretty much the same profile. Let me just say in a wetsuit. It can get pretty chilly. I didn't go back to the chester polling until august. Two thousand nine and that was my last trip there. It was my two hundred and forty ninth dive but this time i did it in a dry suit and hope to get some good video of iraq. I still dove aluminum. Eighty the dive was just as i remembered and just as exciting visibility again was thirty feet. And my max. Depth was eighty two with and the bottom temperature. That day was forty eight degrees still very cold but so much better in a dry suit again however with an aluminum eighty. You just. Don't get much bottom time especially if your task loading like shooting video so my recommendation is that if you are planning to die the polling you might want to consider a little bit bigger tank something like a steal one hundred or going to doubles. I know that i wouldn't consider going back with anything less than a steel one hundred tank. How do you get to the chester polling back. Then we use cape and divers but they closed up several years ago and recently the dive boat cape and diver to was purchased by several guys from boston. An air now operating regularly chart regular charters again became an diverse to is a forty five foot. us coastguard registered dive vessel. It is spacious and right now with limited divers on board you get plenty of room to get ready and dive but you don't get a lot of but you don't get a lot of time because you don't have a lot of time to get ready because the is only a few minutes from the dock so be prepared one thing. Different about northeast wreck diving. Is that as a diver. You need to bring all your gear that includes tanks weights everything. It's not like diving at a resort. Don't get caught short by not being prepared with all your own stuff now. Here's an interesting element. That i discovered during my research. It appears that in nineteen sixties. The chester polling was length lengthened. By maybe twenty six or so feet. That doesn't sound like much. But at the time of her sinking her length with two hundred and eighty two feet so that lengthening was about ten percent of the original ship's length could this have been a contributing factor for the ship splitting in half. I wonder so if you happen to be in the area of cape ban in gloucester massachusetts. You might wanna look up cape and diver to and head out for a double dip on the chester a

What Lurks Beneath: The Legend of the Loch Ness Monster

"The modern day fascination with old nasty started in nineteen thirty three when aldy mckay and her husband were driving along loch ness and we all know that lock is scottish for lake right so they were driving along the loc when less than a mile out in the water. Algae mckay reported seeing a tremendous upheaval on the lock which previously had been a calm as a proverbial mill pond. That was my scottish accent. Mckay said she saw what she thought looked like the body of some huge creature resembling awale rolling and diving churning the water into a bubbling foam. The creature was large enough that when it took its final dive under the water sent out huge waves. Mckay and her husband stayed on the road for half an hour waiting to see if they would spot whatever it was again. But in that time it never resurfaced the only paper that ran a story about the mckay. Strange encounter was the inverness. Corier other than that. No one seemed very interested less than three months later married. Couple mr and mrs spicer. We're driving south along loch mess. When they claim to see a huge prehistoric creature. Cross the road in front of them headed toward the lake according to an interview. The spicer's gave to rupert gould. Who wrote the first book about the loch ness monster. The creature had a long neck and a low thick body about four or five feet high. Mr spicer said he couldn't see legs or tail but he did see something flopping up and down which he later thought was a tail curled around toward the front of the animal. The couple said they couldn't tell if they're creature entered the water because their view was obstructed. And they couldn't hear anything over the sound of their engine. The author gould however claimed to have been watching the lake the same day. The spicer's say they witnessed this thing cross the road and he confirmed that the water was particularly choppy and noisy at roughly location. The spicer's claim they saw the animal. Gould went into the interview skeptical but based on their description and a drawing. Mr spicer made he came out. Short that the spicer's were telling the truth and had in fact seen the loch ness monster.

Crop Circles: Alien Messages or Man-Made Hoaxes?

"One of the first stories that got people talking about crop circles began one morning in january nineteen sixty six when banana farmer george pedley entirely a town in north queensland australia was driving his tractor through his farm passed a lagoon. George hurt a high pitched hissing. Sound assuming it was a pierce tire. He stopped the tractor to check but immediately saw what he later described as a flying saucer. Rise up at great speed from the lagoon and sip away disappearing into a cloud of blue vapor after registering his complete shock. He went to investigate the site from which he saw the object rise there in the lagoon. George found what looked almost like a massive nest of flattened reads fused together floating on the surface of the water spinning clockwise. It was almost thirty feet across later in the day. George called his friend albert to check it out. It seems to me if you see a flying saucer and a floating nest from where it took off you call someone immediately but george was like. Wow i just saw. Ufo oh well. These bananas are gonna pick themselves. Maybe he was a man who has priorities in order one harvest bananas to call friend about ufo citing when albert got to the lagoon. He waited out in to get a closer look and notice that the reads weren't just bent over but rather it looked like they'd been pulled up by their roots at this point. One of the men alerted the media. I'm guessing it was albert since george seemed to be taking a slightly more lazy fair approach to the whole thing when the local press arrived to more smaller circles were found in one. The reads went clockwise. Counterclockwise also found was a six by five foot rectangle of empty space in the reeds where the reads it seemingly been pulled up from their roots and were missing completely

The Events Leading to the Boston Molasses Disaster

"The day of tragedy. Two things happened. Which helped influence events i was that a ship arrived from cuba and transferred over six hundred thousand gallons of molasses to the tank. The molasses was heated to make it less viscous so it would be easier to transfer and the amount transferred almost completely filled the tank to the top. It was one of the few times the tank had been completely filled since it was constructed. The other thing which happened. Was that a warm front descended on boston. The temperatures went from two degrees fahrenheit or minus seventeen degrees celsius to forty degrees fahrenheit or four degrees celsius in one day. It's believed the thermal expansion of the previously cold molasses due to the increase in the temperature and the addition of warm molasses from the ship. Put enough pressure on the tank to cause it to fail catastrophically there also may have been fermentation going on inside the tank which would produce co two. Which would also create pressure at twelve thirty pm. The tank burst because of the increased temperature of the molasses and the incredible pressure. It was under in the full tank. The viscosity was quite low. When it bursts out of the tank it did so like water. It wasn't slowly pouring out like you would see molasses come out of a bottle reports. Were that the wave of molasses was twenty five feet or six meters high and traveled at thirty five miles per hour down the street. The explosion of the tank burst with the energy of eight hundred fifty sticks of dynamite rivets from the tank. Shot out like bullets lodged in buildings. The tank couldn't have burst at a worse time. Children were walking home from school for lunch and workers were out in the street. Buildings and elevated railways were hit by the flood and collapsed. Once the molasses burst forth from the tank the non newtonian nature the fluid to kick in now that it was no longer under pressure and exposed to the outside air the molasses viscosity increased and its flow. Slow dramatically once. People were caught in it. It became the fix europe that most people are accustomed to which made it very difficult to get out of the initial death. Toll was only ten people however over the next several days and weeks more bodies were found with the final body. Count reaching twenty one. The last bodies were found four months after the flood because they were swept out into the boston harbour

What The Heck is Being Death Positive?

"So what exactly is death positivity? You know, death positivity is not too different from dead body positivity or, you know, even sex positivity right. Where if you understand that there's all kinds of different approaches that, you know, it's, it's kind of accepting. Hey, death is a natural part of our Lives, which we all know instinctively, we know that logically. But when I when you start thinking about that, there's also that fear that comes along with it for many of us. And and so it's just starting to understand, okay, well if we look at death and it's just natural part of life, what it really does is it. Is us up to live our lives more fully while we're here. Sounds good. Yeah. After after birth last year we've all lived through a little more than a year. I think we need as much fullness as we can achieve and and I need a little more body positivity in my life, too. I'm not going to last name. I went on a huge weight loss. Journey, more years ago than I can remember. Now, I think it's been a decade now, holy Toledo, she's time flies. And that's that's amazing experience. When you lose a ton of weight cuz what's in your mind, isn't what you're seeing in the mirror and then you have experiences that reinforce that the mirror is correct, if your brain is wrong, and that's, that's just really fascinating. So, I learned a long time ago, I think having been over a hundred pounds overweight, is that our bodies are really pretty fascinating thousand souls for lack of a better term, you know, especially for some of us, you know, we've created an entire life. You know, we've created beautiful things to give to the world or maybe not only beautiful. But maybe technology, that's kept us together in the last, you know, year and 1/2. It's it's that's the way I try to look at. It's like, okay. I physically I might not look like swimsuit model but that's yep. I'm only five foot two. I'm not going to be a swimsuit model, no matter how much I try to change the shape of my body. Yeah. Well and, and I think the whole idea behind body positivity is helping your brain. Understand that you are beautiful in the shape that you are and go live your life, right? And so when we translate that to death positivity, similarly it's hey yes we are all going to die someday and that's okay. And again freeing us up to really live our own lives to the fullest There's seems to be a cultural belief that death is somehow a failure, which is really, you know, it's like I don't know if that's a Reliance on a medical profession or not really sure how we got to fighting death at all costs. Even when you've got somebody, who's not able to live life fully and not be able, you know, somebody with alzheimer's or somebody, that's got end-stage cancer, whatever awfulness, sometimes happens to people and I, I always lived, well, I still live my life, but when, my mom was still around, I did everything I could to give her as much quality and fullness as possible. And I kept telling myself, I will not do anything that extends, this, this dying process of Alzheimer's, and I didn't. And I told my husband and my daughter, if, if the situation arose like, I'd always thought She got pneumonia, I would call Hospice. I said you, you too might have to stand on either side of me and hold me up while we go KO hospice or whatever. Like, do not let me back down because I knew my mom would hate the way she was living and she would, she was terrified of getting Alzheimer's and she did so it's you know, I it's a difficult balance to know off or we just giving up or we accepting that. We all none of us gets out of this life alive, which many listeners have heard me. Say it's what my maternal grandfather always

After Fatal Floods, Germans Look at How Climate Change Contributed

"To germany now where crews are cleaning up after the worst floods the region has seen nearly six decades more than one hundred sixty people have died. The damage amounts to billions of dollars. Now germans are asking what role climate change may be playing and how to keep this from happening again. Npr's rob schmitz has been out surveying the destruction. He joins us from the flood. Region near bonn. Hey rob emyr lewis. So i know you have been out. In one of the worst hit towns. You spent yesterday talking to people there. What are they saying about how this happened. Yes spoke to several yesterday. In the town of knowing of isla people who had suffered incredible damage to their homes. Dozens of people in this town died in this disaster and the one thing everyone was talking about was how unnatural all of the seem. The rain was nothing like anyone had ever seen. Before the way the tiny creek that runs through this town the are filled up from below a foot deep to twenty five feet deep in a matter of a few hours as water rushed down into this valley as spoke to resident martin larsen about this and he thought climate change was definitely a part of this but he also listed other culprits behind the severity of the flooding. Here's what he said. This type of flooding is not normal. This type of rain is not normal. The consequences of not for the main thing is probably infrastructure. Now you've probably been building everywhere where we hear you asphalted. Everything's paved the river straight. Yeah it's not bending back and forth. It's been manipulated by man throughout the years. It's nice and and shallow and it's just cozy but when it comes high water it's a germany is europe's most populous country. It's about the size of new mexico but it has more than eighty million people in that area so its population is fairly dense and there are so many towns like the one i visited yesterday that are built along waterways that are highly engineered and urban management to prevent these extreme weather events from causing so much damage is something that german officials will likely start analyzing more closely in the aftermath of this tragedy.

Cruel and Unusual Punishment: Pee Wee Gaskins Sues South Carolina

"That week. We go to columbia two of our younger children and anita go to the hearing. There's no one in the room except a judge and two state attorneys and peewee with the guards who have him. Handcuffed and pee wee presents his case and is suing the state of south carolina for one million dollars for neglecting. His hemorrhoids was worried and in pain and he was seeking relief. We were there in the courtroom. I expected five feet to one inch tall really pale. Skin really black. He walked in his arms were chained to his wife's he had on ankle chains. It sounded like that scene from the ebony screwed story the ghost of christmas past rallying his change coming in the courtroom and there were two marshals one on either side of him and they looked big and burly and he didn't even come up to their shoulders but they were so nervous with him and he was smiling. I know i'm the man. And you don't know what i'm gonna do next kind of thing. It was just really fascinating. And i was shot at. How smalley was in frail looking day was so obviously nervous. Hearing only lasted a few minutes. Peewee complained that the prison officials had failed to address this repeated complaints about hemorrhoids and their inattention to his medical condition amounted to cruel and unusual punishment. Why are Pools on Cruise Ships so Small?

"When i stay in las vegas resort hotels would say five thousand guests have vast pools but not so on a ship of similar passenger numbers at best. The swimming pools on cruise ships are twenty foot by forty foot by five foot deep. And i found out there are three key reasons for that. First of all water is extremely heavy and the water in that modest poor alone ways around two hundred and fifty thousand pounds this making the ship really top heavy and challenging to sail and keep stable when you sailing the seas so size needs to be limited and then the pools have to be in the middle of the ship and dead center the deck to help with the balance the ones at the rear are always much much smaller. That's also why you always see hot tubs. Mirroring each other with one on both sides of the ship in exactly the same position again. It's the balance out the wait. Secondly the more weight at the top of the ship the more counterbalance weight has to be added to the base of the ship to keep it stable. This of course it's more space lower down and as more weight to the ship now to get around this problem. The old cruise liners from the forties fifties in the sixties like cunard's. Qe to they used to have the poor inside the ship and at the very bottom in whose case it was actually a roundabout the waterline. Nowadays passengers expect pools to be out in the sunlight and so they have to be at the top of the ship. This actually magnifies the risk of throwing the ship off balanced in rough away the especially when the water starts moving around. You have all that weight moving around. So that's also. Why pulls her often drained emptied when the seas get

The Hero from Season One

"It's time for another installment of si-hun it's still alive and this time we're going back to season one episode twenty-six the hero and it premiered on july fifth nineteen fifty eight sixty three years ago on my third birthday. The hero opens up with mike underwater. Telling us these working with. Dr george snider on a project to turn ocean plants into food. Apparently they need funding for their research. And that's where a millionaire elliot conway and his wife. Gloria come in you see. Elliot is a big game hunter and he wants to take his hunting underwater and he wants to hunt for sharks and giant squid only problem. He doesn't know how to dive. He needs mike to teach him and gloria so he can bag. What's down there. Mike price five thousand dollars now since it's going to research glorious says it's a worthy cause and a tax write off elliot agrees to pay like twenty five hundred dollars upfront and the remaining twenty five hundred when he gets his first shark. So now they're off to a place known for sharks portable ongko and they go in elliott's private plane and that plane. Looks like a dc. Three named misguided gal now. Puerto blanco is on the west coast of south america. A small fishing village with a new hotel. Not much more. Just as they're getting off the plane guy comes running up and he introduces himself as dr gomez. Any needs to use of elliott's plane to get a sick child to a hospital over three hours away. Elliot agrees so now. They're all set to start their scuba training. And mike tells. Gloria things will be okay if elliott follows all precautions glorious says he never does mikes response he better now before they start training mike scouts out the deep area offshore for sharks. We see a variety of sharks white tips black tips and even some clown fish interesting. Now we start to see what scuba training was like in nineteen fifty eight. Mike takes the couple through snorkeling skills and then talks about how the equipment is delicate and technical. He tells them there is only one way and that is safely theory in practice. That's what it takes. But elliott is getting impatient in the next scene we see mike demonstrating what happens when a balloon is inflated at depth and brought up boom. Goes the balloon back on the boat. Mike tells them it's called an air. Embolism and you must always excel. Exhale as you extend. Gloria asks mike. How fast and he tells her no faster than your bubbles. Elliott wants to know. When do we stop learning and go hunting. He wants his shark. Glorious says she's tired and wants to sit out the next dive. Elliot tries to coax her into diving. But mike says it's dangerous to dive if you're tired so now we switch back to the hotel and we can clearly see the tension between elliott gloria. Gloria tells mike that that elliott is a mixed up millionaire. He's an architect. Who inherited the conway oil company when his father was killed in an auto accident. Elliott doesn't want to really be an architect anymore. Just a big game hunter. Now elliott comes into the scene and he's carrying a spear gun that he's all proud of its cocked and loaded. Mike is furious and he and elliot start to argue. And in the argument elliot drops the spear gun. It goes off narrowly missing gloria and lodging in palm tree. Now we switch back underwater. Mike says elliott has be elliott has become pretty good. Shot with the spear gun. And they're shooting at this target. That set up kind of lake for archery. But mike says he just needs to stop pointing a gun at mike. Now we switch back to land where mike. Gloria elliott are working on camera to document the shark on elliott. Says he wants to order. Chicken cacciatore for dinner might tell them. Oh no that's too spicy before diving. Says okay good now. Probably order to and elliot goes off. It's just mike gloria now. Gloria tells mike she's unhappy made a big mistake in marrying elliot. Mike tries to console her and she tells mike he's sweet and she puts her head on his chest. Elliot sees this and is upset. What's going to happen when they go on the shark hunt the next morning. They are at the dive site. Mike cuisine i finds a shark and is ready to take them down for the hunt. Just as soon as you can get the bait ready now. The three of them are down below at seventy five feet. Gloria has the camera as mike elliott head off to the hunt just end we switched to the surface in a boat is approaching. Its dr gomez. He needs elliott's playing again. As you get close to the dive boat. He throws his anchor over the side and it crashes down into gloria breaking her rag might just happens to look back and sees the glory is in trouble and they both rush back elliott steps in and starts buddy breathing with gloria the sharks. Fresh off debate sense trouble. As the big one continues to circle. Mike is impressed. With elliott's calmness and sends them to the surface while mike fights a rearguard action again and he spears the big shark. We then see all the divers back on board and dr gomez says we must go sure back at the hotel. Elliott s mike. Why don't they haven't hospital here. In puerto blanco might tells him. It's always money. Justin dr gomez emerges and skulls mike for letting gloria dive in her condition. She's expecting a child in six months. And dr gomez congratulates elliott by saying congratulations senor. Now you need to take her back to the states to the hospital. That does elliott is going to build a hospital in portable. Ongko and keith tells mike it'll be done in six months. Mike says that can't be done elliott. Replies you don't know me when i go to work elliott conway the hero. You'd recognize him. "Her mother had had cancer and she said I just hate to see that that makes me so upset because she's one of my favorite people and so it's totally different Henry. I don't think so so she no. No no my mom's on my favorite people as well because of who my mom is but then there's no. There's no sympathy. There's no time spent in the film dealing dealing with the with the mother the point that I think her mom is always there to support her. Always know with again always always in that big her mom is always there slowed Nova novas her favorite person. There's clearly there's a connection there that's an a person should not be defined a person does not want to be defined by their struggles. I don't think so either. So why should we talk about our Mamas Kanter all the time we should not. Noah's is totally different. I think than getting off the phone was one who's dying. Yeah and say I just feel like everyone's leaving me that super different France and again. That's just a personal is why I didn't enjoy the movie. The documentary and observational movie about a Rockstar. Popstar are much more. I think than the Taylor swift movie. It was a foul A movement and a purpose and common enemy of a lot of people By way of someone that many of the population has grown up knowing at least sure but now I mean that that I didn't really have an issue. I think that I'm not saying he has issues with men which is fine fine just fine. I just think it's weird. It's not addressed at all by anyone even though movie like what like when Mark Ronson left. Oh Oh boy I get it. They're very relatable concepts which is a kind of I think why also jarring that wasn't addressed by anybody. Yeah Yeah Woah. What also she's so in our own world so like okay? Yeah I mean I think from that. I don't know if people brought it it up not even just comparing Taylor swift but I mean why would you want to bring that up to someone like you care about somebody. Same thing with Amy White House in Tony Bennett. It remember that scene. Yeah sure it was very reminiscent of That to me sure because she's got clearly some stuff and and they just didn't even talk about it. They really talked about her. They did not really address her mental illness or her any of the things she's dealt with which how're you gonNA talk about who somebody is without saying where they came from a little bit? Well I mean it kind of goes back to her the like kind kind of quote unquote routes with the Joanne's song and showing her right. which resting? Except that's not actually what again. I'm not a therapist but But this is just why. The movie didn't work because it felt like a lot of it might just be because of where this person that they nominated me. The documentary about is in their life or whatever but like is the album that was the most here was also about someone that she had never met which is interesting those scenes I still found more emotionally nationally gripping than a lot of the stuff and Miss Americana but I think again as you said it can be the complete opposite. I think it's just your this movie was trying to depict exactly because I think this is a rounded. I think it was just more just a slice of life kind of deal. I don't know if you'll also then it wasn't but also that it wasn't 'cause then she has debilitating chronic pain and she hates being famous. What she say Famous a prison. Is that kind of thing you know. It's it's just like what are we. What are we doing here? What are we saying? Yeah I think she's a good person very much so I think she does love I appreciate her philanthropic work and then I think he has a beautiful voice and everything but at the same time but that but that's further to the point where. I don't know what this movie who was trying to show here. I think it was laughing on the award. It will so life than I think it should have had Much tighter Timeline and if it wasn't that that I think it should be a lot broader and again I think the big thing is it's going to be about the album Joanna done and then maybe the Super Bowl just made the whole thing implode. I Dunno sure I think it just just comparing it just being about a ninety minute documentary about someone of course also felt so long to me really. Oh my God dredging through it. If I'll so long I I I don't feel that way but I think just as a ninety minute look at someone I spent about as much time with with her as I needed with the things that it was showing showing about her life and so I think in that way I enjoyed it more. I felt it at COMP. It not accomplish more necessarily but as the film works it's better than Miss Americana worse. I think that Them being both ninety minute looks at someone. I think that this one works more as just a more more lighthearted and more well fine not not not that I'm saying Miss Americana should be. I should rephrase. I'm saying just that this being a relatively low lighter look I guess someone I I think I i. I think it did that job better than I think. Whereas what MISSA mercado trying to do. I don't think it did that as well and so I think I enjoyed this one taking ice. It is yeah waiver Giving anything I mean I thought it was successful in. It's it's a never so again where buster sure which I lost with this if it was supposed to be like that like. What is the bay cello movie? Calm Bay Chela. Bay Chela the beyond say Coachella channel movie. Oh Yeah I'm coming. Thank you just do that. Then you're going to do this just to homecoming make up your mind. Just remind you know what I mean the whole Walmart thing. Oddly pissed me off off to know and I I. I enjoyed that actually but and I get. I know I'm annoying with my no. It's okay ash tag. Feel the burn wealth disparity anything but like she has no idea. What's going on around her? It seems you know which I know isn't true per se. which again is a shortcoming of the movie? Then even just showing her her interaction with fans. I found that more genuine. I think In this then I think in The Miss Americana. I think that's just hit me harder than what did I appreciate for. Her Fan showed through more on this one. No no no I mean that thing with the girl who won the iheartradio thing. She didn't know her name. She said Remember her name and give it to dig it which is very sweet pozo. She had no her name and she has left which again. I'm not saying. She's can't be there for everyone. There's only one of her and everything I just don't think it came off very nice. Ver- I'm in that moment were and then it. It takes the time to have the fan talking to the camera about how. That's that's more so if it had not had the fan. Dan Reaction to her being there. I had seen. Oh how'd you iheartradio. So that I would agree completely but I think that having that Ah epilogue of the fan show being so emotional. I think that is what really endeared me to her More so than certain things with a Taylor swift and Miss Marikana. But I think that's just what what you're choosing to show. Yeah yeah again again. I think he comes. There was no I don't think there's any storytelling with the five foot. Two by even the name even down to the name what I agree. There's the storytelling is not terrible. For and the keeper in the studio with Mark Ronson and just watch what unfolds and fine versus a big personality may be keeping it down to you know her truest form or whatever other income off quite well either like Oh. I'm only anywhere like they. The things they chose to harp on versus what occurred maybe however subjectively just made it seem less genuine for instance the fans GonNa like me. Even though I'm just wearing you know black can wider whatever. But she didn't were black and white. You're like far less clothing than the people right. I mean which is fine. Do your thing the but whatever she just seems so distant which again is fine. But I just don't understand your message like when she took her top off when she was talking to a bunch of people. Oh you should ask. You should just ask an breastfeeding. You're just saying I'm just saying you are. I mean she's like it's just more comfortable which I if a man took a shirt his shirt off and a meeting. You'd also be like I think from I. Yeah I know but no no no. No I'm saying I think from yes. The storytelling so to speak is not brilliant. But it's not coherent but but also at the same time. I think that the way that it's shot maybe not necessarily edited but more more so how. They're they're shooting certain sequences. I found that it to be more of a doesn't have to be relatable more of a a loose kind of objective. Look whereas it felt like the way that miss as an American I was told was much more calculated and trying to hammer in something whereas calculated. I think it's very calculated. Okay but I I think in this. It's more of A. It's it's more of a just Calculated documentary what do you mean an put out a banana. Peel for her them slip on. So what do you mean one. What do you mean by calculated the what they're what they're choosing to show and how much time they're are willing to spend and things it feels? I think that they're like why not in Marikana and I know it's not dealing with this all the same issues that we talked about. Why not deal with with her? The fact that she's sued fans ensued. People like that. Why not show the less friendly parts about her career? That's the stuff where we're Taylor. Swift fans are completely. He's not being. She's not being interviewed. Really in this move very much care. It's not interviewed back to footage back to It's an observation. The point of the movie it achieves grown Elisa person the point. She's not perfect nor should she have to be. She's he's becoming who she wants to be. This is the whole thing. Yes no I agree but at the same time saying all are listening parties either. Didn't joe her giving money to Tuition to people either right. It's not about that those are those are such On surface things both ways. And we've all no no we all know that stuff so the thing you're accusing the movie of relying on is a common knowledge is the same thing. You're I mean it doesn't you know showing Yes I agree that it is no one's perfect regardless of you know where you are. I think that's fine. I think that it's was choosing to show purely really okay where she started out and where she has how. She's grown as a person but at the same time I think having something like having sued fans hands I think that's just as much a part of her and they're choosing not to show that so her. Her journey is more relatable to people. If they put that in there you have been like a weight. Ah That is everything that we've just seen. Should I connect with that as much. I think that there would have been a more well rounded vibe to it if whereas in this get it's it's doing different things a month. I'm not comparing the two that I think the way that this is shot. It's look down on that. He got out for a second everything she does. That weird is like Oh oh how she in which. I'm not saying which I'm not saying. Let me say one thing about what it's about Taylor. Swift precisely is not about her in relation to her fans couldn't get did not by listening..

He goes back and tries to get more information out of her after cyber stalking her after cyber stalking videos to figure out that her sister stopped showing up year ago and also after going closer than five feet from her at numerous points in the movie. Yes well no five feet enough yet. But yet he's definitely try to kill this bitch. Here's like did. I talked to me. I'm gonna fucking burder you well. It does say something about the movie. They have to stay six feet apart and he like reaches out his hand to her and she goes to grab it and he's like oh i forgot but he literally just like as a joke almost killed sir. It's just weird two weeks ago. What do you mean shamsher shukran. Yeah almost gotcha. Yeah right this weird. Like almost killed you as i would have done that. Yeah yeah and. I'm your friend. So i like he's co shut openshaw to real. That's what happened. Yeah that's the problem. So then we get well. He's super annoying She lacks joke on the roof but then she needed. She sees his situation and not taking care of himself. He's not taking his meds and it almost gives her a panic attack because of her. Ocd yeah and sheets pleased with. Please let me help you. Not die it. He's like fine so then she does exactly what happened. Please please please please please such witch. Okay sure let me draw you. He said what do i get out of it. She's like please. Just wait to make sure was i liked does fucking die. He's like yeah. But what do i get of live all i can. Yeah he's always because all your pitching. How's cassie harnessing the trash. And he's like in you saying listen to sounds fair man inches as baby. Then she doesn't. That's that's how. I put you relationship now center. That she is another montage of fixing pill boxes. "Are you kidding me one hundred percent. I know that was the problem. Funky ed's lord. mo bitch over here. And then i was like me do more short bitch. I'm trying to think of an example. I can't remember exactly the words he said in the movie he said I remember the line. He said we're all living on borrowed air. That was one thing they said and there was another moment. That was the whole plot in the movie. 'cause we have mentioned is that she meets this guy but people have and if you have you can't interact with other people's bacteria and so stay six feet apart. That's why movies called five-part who's gonna fight your part because you have to say six feet apart. It's employer doesn't make sense fucking sloping. It makes it later as a plot point but we think this whole movie. Yeah i get a wrong no no. I didn't think that they got it wrong. Way thought was okay. Something's going to happen where she's going to be okay. It's now five feet. But i thought one of them was going to get better a little bit or like i don't know fucking doctor. I thought something was good. That decreases to five feet does happen. She's like cf has taken so much from us. We're going to take a foot back. It's romantic stoop as a free feedback. Then you're going to die either way. I will say. I will say i really did actually like the fact that six feet and they wanna take the five in called five feet because the director does is. He puts them at a great distance. The beginning and then distanced deathly keeps closing in closing closing in but to the last movie where they're right in front of each other and we literally have to touch for spoilers to save somebody. There's like that i like the diminishing of the space sustained and that wouldn't work. If it was called six feet apart exactly it could have easily been called six feet apart. No could have easily just been called six feet apart again. I get it. It's a big thing. She's reclaiming the one but a man. I agree the whole time during the trailer. Dumb way is a five six five keeps saying six and then we play a game where we try to say the name of the trailer and i remember one time we is it six five six six five five five five six five but this fucking edge lord bitch is on the roof. Just fucking chilin. And he's like oh. I'm going to say i sit on the roof because mo- and i might fall and i don't care about life Sounds like something i would do. Yes sounds like exactly girl. So this is the first moment when the movie parallels titanic because he drowns in this totally space on the door but rose doesn't pick them up if you seen like that's the only thing i remember there a room on the door. Yep homer space majority. I just recently. Why why because. I bought a fungal up. Nice thanks fucking sweet. We go pretty rose readdress anyway. So no but in that moment in the movie they both trying to get onto. They can't because of buoyancy buoyancy she got in the water and he both should try got on the same time. They did back in the water. You wanna show you know. I'll just take your word for. It are easy argument one. Yeah they could have gotten a third guy to hold the door from underneath while he gets on everyone else's done well one of them the daiei. She's.
