"Like oh my god i really like they sit down the shawn's like okay. Wow you you're so lazy with this isn't Isn't the twins mama lesbian now issue They don't really explore them in the show. At least from alleys right now at these five episodes. They don't do that instead. They try to go with random. Weirdness late which is fine. I like when weird as weird but sometimes that's what it's trying to sell sell fine that or nostalgia in not working when you're not even being true to outlet but the what really needs a needs something and i know this is controversial because a lot of people don't like the show for some reason at rugrats all grown up it needs to advance something like that were maybe the kids are and they're trying to look back. Wow this is all the stupid things we did when we were babies and now we have to keep other babies not to get into trouble. Teach people about parenting. There are so many ways you could go about bringing the rugrats stack but they go with the laziest thing despite the it's not horrible. Yeah so Wealth hey the rebuilding i- carly so i'm gonna be sticking checking out bags demand for that to apparel i. I don't know 'cause people are hating on the rugrats side. i don't know as funny because one of the actresses behind curly in an interview. They're like we're sam goer. The actually played sam. I don't i don't know we'll see. I mean the people leaving the walking dead to do shows has not worked out super well. Maggie comes back after transient whiskey. Cavalier which got one-season renewed. I i imagine the will see big things from her. They already have The black panther sequel in pre production will forever to. She's gonna be in. I know chal the i. i'm. I'm certain that will get at least one rick. Grimes movie and i'm sure stellar in that it is a. Bummer is bummer. They couldn't use her better and You know i'm not gonna you know. Try to talk you out of the fact. That machine got traumatized and that certainly atropine. Hollywood that You traumatized the women and minorities For effect so Yeah it's too bad that they didn't have something better for her to do. I think that especially they have felt. I talked at length already about how i thought they did or dirty her character on in. Just i don't know if she had nine joan five episodes and you got a whole season. Because i remember a lot of people also vp. Say where's where's michelle wiseman shown. Would i actually think. I'm kind of impressed that i didn't notice her. Absence more in the sixteen episode. Run if they only had five episodes to give or maybe that was the maybe that was just the the tail half of the season. I don't know how they do. They count on that but yeah.

"Hello and welcome to the die presented by honda season. Five episode seventeen we just finished with the rumble stage and we're moving straight on to semifinals here. Although and penton are both not moving on recipes. Yeah that was a doozy of a group stage. There's a lot to impact there. A lot of things happen. Great yes love to talk about it. I mean you could start feel free. You'll yeah looking forward to talking i. I'm not happy to talk about it. That's sucked i'm sad. I'm super said it was a really really weird we're tournament. I think that's what a lot of people are talking about with them. exiting is. How good are they really. Because they were able to take games off the korea and chinese number one seats but then they also lost to no festive. Probably one of the weakest round robin opponents to make it an msi. So it's really hard to judge. You know how good they really were. Yeah and so it was a really weird and then like the way that it all went out with losing that when it mattered. Most kind of thing like all that was. Just the most quintessential anything that you could. You could have happened. It's tough right. it's like for me. I think at the end of the day kind of tweeted this. I think people somewhat misunderstood what my point was. Took it more as an excuse. But it's like. I think that you know being being like really consistent and not making mistakes is just as important as your skill in leaning your team fighting your objective. Control your vision like these are. It's like an equal part of the game.

I think five episodes of the circle. Yeah and finish it out. And i fucking love circle so much. This was just so much fun. I don't know. I just love the show so much fun and like i didn't think that they would change as much as they did from season. One like all of the complaints that we pretty much had for season one they fixed and he added more interesting and more of a game to be played instead of just like lying to each other the whole time. Yeah i think it's a good sign that i personally think that this season was better just in general in terms of gameplay and how it was set up in the first season and so i'm hopeful that it will just keep getting better or at least stay at good hopefully not go to shit maybe. Yeah let's let's not ruin something that we love. come on. yeah it's fun. i don't even know what it is about the show. It's like it's just fun. It's it's so light and low stakes and also like it is. Yeah not everyone's drunk. Everybody seems to be what they're doing. That is a nice change for sure because all of these types of shows are always like we talked about. Mtv like let's just pump them full of alcohol and see how much drama we can get out of them. Yeah and like. I like khloe so much more on this show that i did on too hot too though i liked her on too hot to handle like no not a a lot of booze not like competitive romance shit yes. She's just more like more like a person like a relatable like person. Yeah like you see. The real person would see if you hung out with are rather than like what other people around bring out. You know what. I mean yes. It's nice it was nice now. All right we'll get started with episode nine. Let's get into it so as we left off with episode eight jackson lisa. Who were voted or voted out as emily and lance. They have now combined together and they are now sharing a profile of an old man. Who has me dad. Energy big data energy. So we come back and they're looking at the new profile. The only thing that is given about the profile of the picture is that he is a psychic which is amazing had loved that good. And i love it. They pay kind of an unassuming New girl for the play not play it on that crater g. stereotypes but it was just vibes just vibes. Stephen king's.

"Would be the lowest cost. Get it done by friday. Thinks i can do to to to get it started. I love this in bethany. I absolutely adore you. And thank you so much for being here being such a star student so the absolute fastest cheapest way to get going is something that i always think of when i have a lot of girlfriends. Who podcast and they literally they get they get a microphone. They get their laptop computer. They go into a closet and they start recording. And i really do believe like i. You know me because you're in my world you know. I like to have a process in the system and be professional. And that is just runs through my blood. But i'm always envious of the scrappy. Nece that some people have like. I don't care if it's a great mike. I don't even care if it's the best computer or anything like that. I'm just going to get it done. And so i think you should create a challenge for yourself to say okay by this date. I'm going to have five episodes recorded. And i'm going to go live on this date and i think setting those challenges for yourself and knowing look i'm going to go for a b. plus work. I'm not going for as i'm going to go be plus do the best i can and get it out there. Don't worry about fancy equipment. Don't worry about Panels on your wall or like the best audio. Even i think that will come. I think that's important but not as important as getting started. Really great advice and i would also say. Let's be honest here bethany. I mean i'm. I'm doing this as a podcast right now. Like i don't know if you heard beer you here right at the beginning but this is being recorded as it like. I'm just gonna take this. I'm not going to edit it. I'm not gonna do anything. All the oems is the crackles this. That doesn't matter all of this. Whatever this ends up being we'll be exported as an mp three file. It'll be uploaded as an episode of rian mentioned radio so we can get more love for for amy here and and this is just as simple as simple can be so. I'm using this as a dual purpose platform. I don't record podcasts. Any other way now. There are some high production stuff. Amy does a great job from a production standpoint. And that's why her show is as popular as it is and you know. Perhaps there is a correlation between the amount of production. You put in right and the number of downloads that you get. I'm not going to sit here and say that there might not be a correlation there but at the same token if you look at joe rogan and what they do on their show. There's not a whole lot of editing..

"With. You don't collaborate. How can you create win win scenarios in order to move forward and help someone else at the same time so again. Don't let competition get into comparison. You're looking at my business. Where my podcast. 'cause maybe studying i've had this. Maybe you're starting a podcast in you excited about it and so you start. Researching the podcast. You're like oh man. This guy's three hundred episodes in three years plus in had all these big. There's no room for my podcast. If said that to me. I'd say there's a massive opportunity for your podcast. Your energy your tight your voice your gift. Your unique way to express that massive opportunity and out-priced. "Hear the audio but maybe you can see mr nagasaki crying you know or bucky crying and them having conversation and we would know that's what they're talking about. Yeah we maybe won't hear it but we will know that that's something that bucky decided to do. Yeah i mean. I could see them tying that up tying up that loosen because i think that would lead nicely into like he is getting that closure and he wants to like take on this new role as the white wolf so to me that would make sense in like developing that character arc but added no again. I just think there's so much to put into this one final episode which i think lends itself even more. There's going to be a season to believe. Might not get every answer not every answer but i do think there are no matter what i think. There's a lot to tie up here. They built up a lot in five. Sh i don't wanna say short episodes but in five episodes they can leave. Some things untied the knot. Everything i want to throw one more hat into the ring for the powerbroker. I'm sorry you picked finally answer justin hammer from hammer tech. He's got a history in arms trading. He's been basically outcasts from the us. It would make a lot of sense for him to show back up in this new role and he was from iron man three. I can't remember if it's in two or three think it's three honestly can't remember the issue with us is that we've watched so many of these that they start to blend together that he was one of the villains in ironman. Yeah he's he was the competitor stark industries hammer. Tech was the other weapons Manufacturer that was in competition with with them. So i mean you're kind of i mean it would make sense for him to kind of emerge now or to do something. A little devious to have competed with stark industries..

"Know the same group of people and it's fifteen plus episodes. That's a process. I mean it really is the amount of work that goes into it. God bless those editors like they have to do so much work totally. Yeah even think about shows like big brother where they have to do it on the fly because it's taping when it's airplane and i just cannot even imagine no wonder world pissed on twitter that the edit is bad or that like we didn't like the way that they showed how something happened because we thought it was different. It's like yeah literally doing this. Like off the cuff. Well and speaking of somebody who's worked in like the editing process. I was never an editor. I worked in story and i worked as like a post production assistant. And it's there's a lot of people like as as fans watched shows and they hear about like things behind the scenes and like well. This was cut or like. Why didn't we see this. I can't speak for everybody. But i know that for the shows i worked on there. A lot of things that get cut are not things that necessarily editors or the writers want to cut like a lot of the time. It does come from the network. It comes from them. Wanting to present a specific image or wanting to turn a story that could be five minutes into five episodes. So there's there's not there's definitely manipulation. I think a lot of people think reality. Tv is like we write everything for them to say. It's not to that extent like i've been on sets. There are producers that will prompt people in interviews with certain questions to try to lead you to a specific response however it's not scripted by any means at least the shows that i've worked weren't but i have seen what happens when there is pushback. I watched almost an entire team of editors quit production because they did not approve of the way that they're higher ups. Were trying to curb the story in a different way..

"Yeah people from maine yet. Go ahead and pull out your Judd from pet cemetery really have one I really don't have a Northern accent but it seems like everybody's toronto to do this accent and it's just butchered own. I got one knows pretty easy to do. Pepperidge farm remembers commercial. That's the only one i have. Do you remember when enrich five gauge walked out into the road and got hit by a semi. Wasn't a car will pepperidge. Farm remembers go car. I think that's just all you have to do is just have like open ended. Like lots of a and everything within a if we can't so anyway i'm i'm going to induct The hitchhiker to tori him. I will be revisiting. This series sincere are five episodes. I did not watch eighty five episodes to go into this show. But i will continue and i will give you a hitchhiker update as we go along great. I thought about doing that with like a you know. Maybe we can keep this going. I mean there's so many episodes of that like when you get bored with it then we'll stop doing it. All i'm saying is you're probably going to have to to not in chronological order. I get where i'm saying. Pick the good ones. You know somebody. Please give me a list of the good ones you might be few. And far between i thought about like friday the thirteenth the series two yes That would be a good one just to kind of pop in every once in a while and see what's going on i think you're right Somebody on twitter posted a picture recently. that they were in like a cvs or like a walgreen's and the dvd counter had the entire series like on clearance for seven dollars But it was like those old like clam. Shell of friday. The thirteenth. The series the series. I have got to find that that would be awesome. I remember that show being pretty cool. I watched it. And i want to say that i watched it religiously but i don't remember anything. It is more of a it. The the kind of wrap around boy. I'm really going to have to work on my like terminology. What i'm trying to say is there are two character. I mean it's almost like an x. Files where each episode is a different Thing but the it has to lead characters that kind of Hold it all together right okay. And are they anybody. Louise robey which. I kind of recognize her face. And chris wiggins is the other Rigi wig wigan wiki. Wack wiggins is what they call them so there were seventy two episodes of friday the thirteenth series. So about the same amount of time okay. that's a lot. These definitely have a lot of monsters in them..

"Over. Shore up yeah. I was like they're going to go the distance. I had five on it now about what happened. Well here lane. She uploaded this super embarrassing video on instagram saying that she loved him. I saw it. It was really cool and sweet. Sure and he did not reciprocate. He kinda bounced after that and then he broke up with her. Got an asshole. He at this moment. Someone walks by in whispers to us. It was a break. And she's dating ej now. Oh my god. His senior. The senior jar. Oh my god yes whatever. Water lacrosse is nowadays. Like i don't. I don't know what's water polo or water lacrosse or some shit. Ej was jack and he swooped in during drama camp to pick up meany markets. Have you ever been to a camp. either. I couldn't afford cam do people i people i know. But it's poor people camp four people camp. I went to a bunch of people can't really well. We don't have wilderness but don't have anything. What are you going to do like take them to the mall. I don't what are you going to do in the bronx. You can fucking pile some kids on a bus and drive our and outside of the city and go to and bear mountain or some shit. They could go well. I win a bunch but the unexciting stories. Okay back to back on track school musical the musical the musical series. We are so the all have doing the musical now. This random lady comes in and she's like i'm drama. Teacher hire me. she gets hired. She starts hunting on shit. Who was putting on a who was a feature dancer in the original high school musical. What she actually she is by the so you start to get the feeling that maybe she wasn't. Yeah but was the real life lady. I guess not oh no. She was involved in any way if she was. That'd be amazed so all of the kids start auditioning and they start getting super hyped for putting on this show which is really interesting. Because i didn't think that they would be excited. I thought that they would follow. Some of the same story beats as the high school musical movie but they didn't. Everyone is like oh. You shouldn't be a part of musical none of that shit. It's everyone is a okay with everyone. Doing everything will actually a little bit. The you know ricky is like a skater boy who hates musicals for needs. They still got a little bit of that. But jock jesse jackson in but it is interesting. You know what's really cool. Is i think something that i think. The show captures really really. Well is the feeling of being in a drama club. marcus. I don't know how much experience how much of drama club you have from high school but for me it was what i did. I was one of these kids. We did two shows a year. I made friends. And and i felt like family with other kids. That did it all my best friends. Besides like joseph wore a part of it you know it was an it felt like this with the dramas and the relationships and the feeling of how it was The be all end. All of everything was the musicals in was drama club. It felt like that. That's i think one of my favorite moments is weighing a. What's his face. Mr jen for because he thinks he's found out about the extra thing. Yeah and he calls one of the kids like that's why you have no friends. And he says that one of the kids and then the kid goes sings. Warm up song while him. And miss jenner talking and then michigan opens up the door and you see the kids singing status quo together. Yeah they are so happy and they are france. Just that even in the michigan explains that yeah. You know you're right. They don't have friends but then they come into here and they make seventeen new ones. And i was like yes. That's exactly is like that's really nice. We didn't have a drama club. We like were my school. Yeah we. I was taking college classes while in high school on top of ap and all the other classes so bernie to the college. I was across the street and take college classes so i ended up doing theater through the college. 'cause i took like a summer college acting course that for college credit and then i was able to like stay in connection with people so all of my senior year of college of high school. I was doing college like theater. Stage work and stuff like that. So you got a little bit on the fringe but not really etch i would probably say is one of the reasons why you had such a tough time in college because every single one of your classmates were one of these kids a hundred looting me. Yeah you came in. You would have been fine if you had experienced in high school if you had been a theater kid and taking it so seriously. That's why everyone was taking seriously and you're like guys calmed fuck down. I'm like it's college. This is a real everything matters. Did you see this protection from three years ago. And i'm like okay. I don't care like shut up. Yeah like if this is the peak of your existence than like it you have a sad life ahead view like i bought but that being said watching the show did you did it. Did it kind of like open it up a little bit like a like. Yeah like seeing. How genuine sincere where i felt sympathy for those like sort of a. I don't want to say annoying theater kids but those like those annoying theater it's gonna didn't necessarily get along with. I was annoying and if i get it it's i like i like the kids at this show. All of them are likable. You wanna see. What do you want to see. How their story progresses. There's a single kid. That i like and everyone right now. I've only watched five episodes. A lot of them aren't even more at like bigger drama later. Like like genus. Yeah we'll be around a lot. Why she moving around. She's starting to break down those barriers. You do see that you're right you're you nailed it. That's exactly more of what you see in the carlos who you mentioned. The teacher said doesn't have any friends. He's making friends he's also gay so he's like okay kind of interested in this other kid that's involved in the show and they like at the end and the fifth episode. They go to homecoming together. Moment is really really sweet and really nice. Really genuine stuff like that. Yeah yeah i like that. They're also like disney disney as a corporation corporations do a lotta virtuous signaling. I don't know how anybody actually gives a shit about like portraying real life on television because there corporation that makes a lot of money off it so whatever but it is still nice to see onscreen regardless of their intention. Here's the thing though. You are one hundred percent right right. How ever when you have a corporation like this that makes all the money in this kind of way. They scoop up all the real artists right so like while the higher ups might feel that way you can tell a lot of the people working on the show especially the actors the kids in care. They really want to say something i wonder. There's a little special on disney plus called the musical the series the special which.

I heard the travel. Times are really bad. I think israel is saying that. Yeah so. I'm pretty early in the game slide. Just be my first boss and like the knicks zone is pretty close. But i do feel like i can see in the future a time where i'm going to be like i don't want to have to wait. I see me just like build a new town or something again. you can be portals. You can build a little towns along the way but like damn the travel time is something that game for the second boss. I was playing with my friends. It took somewhere between an hour. Fifteen minutes an hour and a half minutes to get to just to get there and then it's like you get there and we kill the boss. And i was like and wanna walk back now. I think i'm good. Thanks gonna lock out. Never play again. So that's where i'm at fell head forever. Yes if i ever accomplishment. Let's give them have to walk back unless maybe my friends the portal or something building new homes. Yeah we did but then you have to. You have to get everything over there. Anyway doesn't matter it's pretty let's talk a bit about fantasy. I lost again. Fantasy sucks harm the winner. I want today. Fz kobe kobe just luck. He just doesn't realize how lucky is if you take you. Direct your eyes to the point against this is how well your opponents are doing against you which you don't control at all really nine hundred sixty. Two point lead band away. The most points against any in the league complaints against doesn't include the bands. You got nine hundred sixty two points against the base. I have thirteen hundred. Sixteen points against me is the base. We got the same. Amount of points earned kobe. I also have the highest points band away from my opponents yet again. This week. I bend away seven bands from crumbs and i would've lost if i did not ban away points from cross judge presiding judge mark z rules in favor of kobe. His wins are legit. He's not just a lucky dog. He is the ban lord he can get. There could be a coach gap and he could also be a dog. it could be both. That's the best to be to be skilled and lucky. Yeah exactly yeah go ahead. i'm currently neither. I'm just I have a roster. That's not playing. Well even my first pick like okay. My still bottling is going to struggle some games and gonna gonna turn stinkers. I expected that. I did not expect the amount of stinker games. I'm getting out of some demonte as my first you picks so. I'm definitely feeling a little sad. Dr talks the hero and my team right now. Loving him But yeah. I'm not not feeling great. I think i'm gonna stay down. The bottom of the standings their tactical tactical really steps it up. He's not doing so well for me. Tactical really has not been getting the points. I was expecting i was like well. Just one locking of course a marksman is going to be racking up all these kids. They're going to be winning all their games. Tactical really has not gotten too much done for me at all and blaze. All of has been like tank in my team. He one hundred point gap between plays all of in every other mid later every week. It feels like got mega point. Seven points in his first game and like three points in a second game. I'm looking over my phone. And i was like ninety points so like what. Am i supposed to do here. Come on blaze. All you got to ban away every single champion appointment later played or else you're screwed by niles or something. I band away. The only positive game that niles had crumbs got negative points for having him. I was struggling for sure. I've seen him have back to back. Negative point games for crumbs this week so at least i don't have house. I guess but a word attending league. So there's no roster swaps to be made because every player has been picked up so You know maybe. I just got a got a big plays olive to to drag out. The games gets more dragons or something you know my my my match also and it came down to like ten point difference or something and i had impact as the last player playing and i was just hoping that e. g. wouldn't as them and that it would go like elder elder dragon and stuff. It was that exist. Uk went back for the elder to help you get those fantasy points to it will. He didn't elder he got. Yeah got infernal soul but the you know this was they had that one fight in the base and impact with him but his tv got interrupted so we got no assists otherwise i actually would have won if he got us on all those skills so close. Yeah yeah it came down came down to the very end. He's been pretty fun. You know it seems like retirees has already won the whole league. She's like four hundred points both second place or something the triple cloud nine however she has just absolutely

I'm trying to count on my fingers to see. Because i didn't plan for that one out on we should. We should say that we're reading this probably important to say we're talking about this when what's like which is interesting. Let's have come out five episodes of coming so it's probably going to be a little dated by the time of this but maybe not too much. Go ahead jesse. I'll remind a psychic expression of the five stages of grief. Oh that's that is a little. That's a little hit. A will a little peek at my theory is about what is happening in this show. Yeah jesse what you got okay. Here's here's what i got. A traumatized woman takes hostages and hallucinates. We understand we understand understand through the fbi certainly doesn't or sword or whatever they're called both of them. I guess some understand but not the not the league. He's bad news. Not that that guys. Yeah they call a d word. In the last episode that director the guy gets up and gives a little speech and gets all the lasers. He's a guy. Okay all right all right. So how do we feel about one division. Are we happy with it. I think we're all happy with that right like it's good. I'm loving at the first two episodes. I was like not sure. I was like what what's happening. Like let us know something. Yum so slow. Start but yeah. I'm liking it. I mean i had a fit. That i couldn't watch it because i got locked up. I will i almost cry. When when do you watch it. Watch it like same day it comes out. I don't know when things come out. I just noticed that there is a new episode or people are talking about it. And then i go look and then i watch it. We usually watch friday or saturday as a family. We all get pretty excited about it when we.

"It wasn't the funniest but yes i think. Honestly it would make a solid solid film. It's always goes as well. We have like our funniest one. where are funny ones. We love in the water three d. That's a lot of shark words ridiculousness and then the last one is just like one that you could actually pitch a movie in not feel embarrassed about. What's the title for this masterpiece. You go simple with the setting with the floating. Tower fits most martial arts movies. Pretty well i think the floating tower as well or like the the infinite tower the spinning tower but yeah the floating tower. Just simple and the poster would be like the tower floating in others. Have it'd be tiger in her energy and stuff in contracting like orange. What's oranges complementary color blue so we'd have orange and blue blue with like silver highlights in orange with black highlights. I should know that those are complementary colors because it's the goku colors the goku colors and that's how we get people to go movie. That goku beat now. No but if you use the go colors you will grab dragon ball. Fans by default whether martial arts martial artists goku colors. Yeah that's those are romance themed movies for valentine's day and i hope everybody enjoyed listening. And you don't let us know. Which movie was your favorite. "Sparky comes about tragic and gross. Yeah so yeah the end of issue five. I believe. I don't think they're going to go the route that they did in the comic as far as bringing the dog back new. I don't think so either. Yeah but Would you think jake would you. What would you rate it joe. I'd give it a tupperware temporary j. I loved it. Yeah i love this episode. Two i thought of the five episodes. I may not have been the best but it had some Best imagery there was a lot of really great still scenes in this episode. I really love like the them. Rising the couch to confront each other like just that rain would be such an awesome poster and had a lot of really cool moments like that. I like the stuff going on with monica's character in sorta lot to definitely seems like we were onto something when we were talking about. Is there a chance that she has superpowers by the end of this series it. It definitely seems that way after this episode. Yeah something to that real quick since you brought it up. I think that with the mri. Not having anything on it. That she's definitely got some sort of cosmic radiation. They they keep the last episode they talked about the cosmic which is cosmic radiation. Do you think that that is what is going to eventually create the mutants. Yeah yeah totally. And i think i think i think monica. Getting thrown through. That barrier is probably. What's going to push her to be more like her comic character in when she took that x ray like that's why she wasn't really seen in it is it's more just reading. Her is because i believe her her. I'm not super familiar with her character in the comics with from the research done after this episode like she can turn into pretty much any form of energy. Yeah and if you paused at seeing you can see like the outline of like shoulders and neck and just all light filled in in between there. I i honestly think that this this cosmic radiation that wanda is containing within westview is going to get out. it's going to be a little bit more widespread. It could create the mutants on the flip side who else as far as a superhero within the marvel. Cinematic universe in the comics.

"The office or even at shows like brooklyn nine. That's blow the lines between single. Cameron monkey mental. I might be asking too much. But i feel like if you're going to base your shirt around doing meta commentary on sitcoms allwood extra be extra excited if they went all in and they tried to tackle every era but then once you do all the errors like what are you from the i guess you just switch it to an mcse shirt right. Where it's on. I don't think. I don't think that basing are around you know doing commentary on saturdays and sorry sitcoms. I think they're just using it as a background as a backdrop as a clever backdrop because the audience knows that the vision is dead and that this is some kind of all suspects that this is some kind of elaborate ruse on one does pot to hide her reality through to moscow. Reality like just put herself in a fantasy wealth. Yeah right exactly. So i think i think you know once that kind of like fades away in the story window going to get when i'm going to get it back. I don't expect this to be going much longer to be honest. I didn't expect it too young for more than five episodes Like the actual home of it. I think after five episodes we're going to get we're going to get The rest of a will be filmed like an actual model film is so it's nine episodes end. It is currently billed as a miniseries on bay. Our mini series always remains that. There's no reason to use okay. Obviously all of that can change. I main Actually can if that makes a lotta money than they might want to have. They would make sense there if they do. Switch it do that and then it that would be a good bank. You know escalation and move what i would love. Love love love love. Love is if they do switch it on her is completely and they dropped the sitcom and move forward love when that happens.

"Put it out there and throw minimum away and you get a pipe for more because we have to awesome characters and you are not showing meaning thing cool about them right now. I have to disagree too. I think is actually builds on them. Because i found both their characters in the movies to be kind of dole and boring. Because they don't get much to do in those movies this actually gives them. I actually see chemistry between these two actors. Finally 'cause i just thought they were forcing a romance comic books and there is finally a little bit of chemistry here between the two of them. Felt like all the light corny comedy. That was intentional. Because even the end of the first episode you saw like how late everything everybody was losing their mind and that this is this is all fake so with the jokes being the way that they are. I mean there are so they're so many old sitcoms that have the humor of this. I mean i watch old sitcoms on tv land or a boomerang. I'd say a lot of them. Don't i mean there some. they're great at. I mean. I love lucy. Their shows that hold up today as all. There's so many old sitcoms out there that there is some that. Don't that have the humor of this except that this one's doing it on purpose to show or to tell a story How crazy everyone as a with them. Trying to make all these corny jokes and ignoring that there is something else going on. Is you see that the barrier scarlet is catching onto the fact. That maybe not all this real or they're trying to figure out something and the The people of the town that they lemon. They're all ignoring it in their pushing. Aside in favor for according to joke. And you're like im- like okay what what's going on everybody's acting so weird and she meet someone in here. Who feels the same way as them which you do see the trailer. I'm not gonna go in to more. Because i mean we'll see we'll probably see marred her later. May i think she has a connection to a character in previous film. But i'm not going to say who. Yeah i mean even though we could go in a small. It's a sad. I mean it's still earlier. There are people who haven't seen the first two episodes jets all be for about that and yeah we will cover the rest of the like will go in the halfway point when there's five episodes and then we'll talk about the ending. Episodes cuss split it up a bit by bed but Yeah to me. That's the grade build up makes the excite for what they do with these bobble shows that they keep it up like this. I mean i. I find a coal. How they're able to this vetting new ways to play with these characters and just the whole these television show. You could say okay. Just a gimmick but it is about scarlet living the life that she wanted but then realizing that it's not real and that's probably the most heartbreaking part of this goes in there.

That i've had for about fifteen years and we're kind of comedy act sort of similar to the smothers brothers. It's two of us. We play acoustic guitars and the humor isn't as much when with the banter between us as it is with the humor's actually in songs so that's called. The uncle moldy show. And we perform a in the maryland area a wide knob sometimes in pennsylvania to most recently. You may know me as the viking. And the jim what worth commercials while riding around on the bus. So yes so. That's me in a nutshell so we can get a little more specific if you like Depending well you know the first thing that you said that caught my ear was the susquehanna river and i was thinking of that old. Avidan castillo routine about the susquehanna company. All right right squad at company there may have been years ago but the majority of there's only a couple of miles of the susquehanna bets in maryland and it actually goes all the way up to near upstate new york so there could be something on the way you know that river goes through lancaster and harrisburg and it goes quite a ways up. I believe almost up to upstate. New york if it doesn't start up there somewhere along the line. I'm sure there was and with your murder mystery troop you. You're an actor in the troupe. Podcasting Q&A
How often should you publish new podcast episodes?
"Welcomes, podcasting human where you learned the best tips in strategies to launch grow in monetize your show. This question comes from Katherine Hi. This is Catherine Sullivan from there. She goes solo travel podcast. I'm wondering how often I should release new episodes is every other week? Okay and should I always aimed to release on the same day of the week. Thank you. Thank you so much for. Your question, Catherine, this is actually a very common question for a lot of new podcasters. You'll find that there are some podcasts that are pushed out weekly some daily some come out with no real schedule whatsoever, and so in this episode, we're going to discuss some best practices when it comes to publishing frequency and help you decide how frequently need to push out new content to your audience. One of the first things that you want to think about when considering publishing frequency is what type of podcast you have their different types of podcasts that lend themselves to different type of release schedules. For example, interview style, Solo podcast educational, roundtable podcast, those are more bi weekly or weekly scheduled releases for more heavily scripted podcasts. Those tenderly releasing seasons with longer breaks in between if you've got an current event based podcast or news based podcasts that tends to be more daily, really schedule and granted, you don't have to any one of these in particular but these are the trends that you'll find, and so it can help inform the decision that you make based upon your podcasting type in style. Second thing that you should consider is how much time do you have to devote to podcasting if you're fulltime podcast it's easy to post more frequently but if it's a passion projects, maybe having a daily podcast is just a little bit too overwhelming. So you really WANNA consider two things how much time do you legitimately have to devote to putting together a podcast and then how much time does it Take you to put together a podcast start to finish. For example, if you have only about five hours to devote to podcasting a week, but it takes you ten hours to put together an episode start to finish a by weekly schedule is going to fit your lifestyle much better. That way you know, hey, this is what I can feasibly do without diminishing the content in the quality of the podcast. The third thing you're GonNa want consider how ambitious are your goals. So if you're trying to take podcasting from side-hustle thing into more of a full-time situation. Publishing more frequently more aggressively is going to be your best bet ideally, more episodes would equate to podcast growth increase size of your audience, but that's not necessarily the case if you're choosing frequency over quality. So if you've got like one salt episode that she put out a week and it's a bomb episode versus five. Episodes that you released throughout the week that are just. You want to go with that one bomb episode because that is going to give you sustainable growth. The other thing is if you're just doing this for fun if it's like a passion project, that's totally fine but you're gonNA WANNA find a frequency schedule that works for you. That's a little bit more relaxed. So you can stay in it for the long haul that this can be something that has longevity to it entering your question more specifically Catherine publishing episodes biweekly is completely fine. One of our shows buzz cast we publish every other week. So don't feel pressure to post or publish more often than you actually want to. Should you publish on the same day every week? Yes. Publishing on the same day every week. Let's listeners win to expect new episodes from you. If you publish more radically, they're not gonNA, know when to expect new content in there knocking incorporate you into their weekly routine which is. GonNa make difficult for your podcasts to grow. So you WANNA, pick a day that works best data shows that weekdays worked better than weekends, but there's not any information about which day of the week works better. So what you want to do is pick a day and stick with it. Things are sending US your question Catherine

TV's Top 5
Marvel’s Helstrom Is Now Streaming on Hulu
"Hulu is premiering hellstrom which. At one point was known as Marvel's. Hellstrom. But somehow the marbles disappeared probably because it has no particular relationship to the marvel comic character and because Jeff Lobe is out at Marvel TV and they're changing their marvel TV exactly and they're changing the entire administration. So Hulu basically has in this particular case, a somewhat orphaned TV show that he is not very good. It is. So what you're saying is it's all connected Dan. Bullets connected to eventual cancellation I would assume. I turn what ever it's just not very good. It's IT'S A it's been. If you go online, you can see how the original character of. Demon Hellstrom and his sister Santana Anna here. Look in the comex they look nothing like that nothing in their world looks anything like the comedy connection basically, it's been re conceived as A. Color drained. Overly dark exercises drama of the type the TV has had like twenty in the past five years and the even acknowledge multiple times in the first five episodes. How much TV and movies have been doing exorcism stop and yet they do hassle absolutely nothing new or interesting with it.

In this short five episode series all lead you through everything you need to know to start launch grow and your email list we made it to the third lesson we're getting into the details of creating your sign of form and your confirmation email. Let's Divan. I'm sitting here I'm so excited because I know the work that you put into create your very first offer, and now you've got it all linked up online in ready to share with the world. The next step is to create a very simple way for you to share that offer and for people to sign up in order to receive it by joining your email list a quick reminder here that things are about to get a little more technical and the best way to follow along with the free online version of this process I created a mini course that you can. Join and watch along at list build challenge dot com. So if you need clarification or visuals for this, all to make sense, just pop open the mini course today three and dig on it again that's list build challenge dot com. If you want the tutorials into watch along, let's keep this thing rolling here is a bird's eye view of what the entire email lists flow looks like. Number one you create an offer that your ideal clients will be interested in check. You've just done this next you wanNA create a place for them to sign up and give you their email address. After that, you share the link to that sign up for him so that they can enter in their information they'll enter in their name and their email address on your sign of form they receive a confirmation email that delivers your offer to them easily, and it's automated, and now they are subscribe to receive future communications and emails from you. So now we need to create a place for people to sign up for your offer. The one you just created and to join your email list don't let this step confuse or intimidate you here are a few different options to collect. Email addresses number one, you can have a landing page. This is also known as a lead page. It's a page that explains what your offer is and it has a place for someone to enter in their information in order to get that offer this is generally a stand alone page for that offer number two is a pop up and it's exactly as it sounds a box that POPs up on a page that you own commonly your website or your blog in it extends your offer to of you're and includes a place for them to enter their name and their email address but it also gives them an opportunity to exit the pop up without taking action and. Lastly number three, an embedded form. If you have a website or a blog, you can embed or insert a form onto your existing site to make a static place where people can sign up enjoying your email list depending on your situation. One of these options is going to make more sense for you. The good news is that even if you don't have a website yet option number one, a landing page allows you to collect email addresses and build your list without having a website of your own. The main items that you'll want to include on your sign up page or form are won a title of your offer or what the promise is that you will deliver. Number two, one, two, three sentences explaining what they will gain when they give you your email address and number three a place for them to submit their name and their email

Which is kind of what we're talking about today? It's it's you bet. And heavier abyss nut to leave out. That you've offered a ten percent discount. Yet with Japan, could what? That what it was got it okay. Great awesome all right so. So. Let's talk about Yoga for I. Stress Management, so I think a lot when a lot of people think of Yoga they think of the physical practicing down dog and you know warrior, one and tree pose, and all those like poses that everybody knows and. I'm sure that people do associate that with stress relief or at least. You knows in right 'cause Yoga in kind of big correlation. But. How does that actually impact your? How does the physical practice actually impact? stress management. That's a great question, so we have for many decades when studying stress. Have turned toward the mind. which is very important, but a lot of The. Tools that have been offered have been around the mind, and what is being discovered now as it's being studied more. Is that one of the best ways to release stress in the whole system the mind, the nervous system in the body is through physical movement and that can take many forms some of y'all as runners. No, you go for run and you just feel reset. The stress reduces in your body and your mind, and whatever perspective you had before changes. And Yoga postures are similar and they're specifically designed to do that. Because you're in a posture, you're holding it. Sometimes, it can create a stress response where you're feeling intense feelings. Things are hard your mind saying. Let's get out of this. And you stick with it. Drop into your breath, and you learn how to be in relationship to that stress in a new way where you notice that you observe it. And you stay with it, and until it releases, so you are learning not to be taken over by the stress response, but instead how to notice when it's happening in your body, and then respond to it and I really mindful way.

Latina to Latina
Why Actress Lisa Vidal Believes "I'm here because this was supposed to happen."
"You. Grew up acting. When did you know that this was for you? I knew from a very early age that I loved to perform. I was always singing because I'm a singer. I always had music on the radio. That was my first love. Actually I also used to watch lot of television because you know. We lived in the Bronx and Spanish Harlem, so my mother was not like letting us out some. certain times the neighborhood. We get tricky, so she was like no in my out. Or whatever and so I, watch them on television. That was my friend. I watched movies girl, so I used to I was so pulled in by movies, and then I have my my aunt, my the-they who? Is such a hero in my life. She was always taking us to movies. Song Forget. UH, she said, drop us off at the movie theater me and my presence, and she'll be like I'll be back five PM to pick you up that she felt bad for us. Abuse stuck in us from weren't allowed to hang outside. So, we would be at the movie theater. Day those days you go from one theater to one movie to another you know at then I saw funny girl, my my my d. c., funny girl and I just fell in love with Barbara streisand and how she was singing and acting. And that was it. That was it I knew I wanted to do. What do you mark as your big break? You know what my big break was a film that I did all I like him. that was my big because I like it like that and I think there was a big break for all of us in that gnome, it was a small film that became like a cult film that became huge, and so I pretty much soon after that I got signed a deal to Aden, C., which led to my semen Silbert show that was my i. like big, lead role on a network primetime television show that Steven Spielberg for. Do you Steven Spielberg Rating? You Fan Fan Mail. Did that's surreal, please? I? Thought they sent it to the wrong guy This must be a somebody else. I couldn't believe it. I mean I still have it up on. My Wall is one of my proudest moments, and I always. Love Steven Spielberg Right, but I thought it was interesting to that when you got that spinoff. And you were really going to be carrying a pilot that there was a little piece of you that worried. Can I carry this pilot? Right like that is a different level of pressure to be like this show will succeed or fail, and you're not like the fourth or fifth person down in the credits it is you. Well Yeah I mean they brought Blair underwood in and our characters just exploded on the show. You know we became a hot. Partnership shelves some Cups Yeah you know I think. I. Think when you go from a guest star. else doing these kinds of roles or even a recurring character writing comes in now. Maybe you do three episodes. Maybe you do five episodes whatever? When you come to the place of a lead. And they're they're absolutely is a whole new level of responsibility, and absolutely without a doubt there is that you know that little bit of light on my Gosh when I do this, but. That's when you. Really embrace you towns, and and recognize the you are and say. Yes I can do this. Yes, this belongs to me on here. Because this was supposed to happen and it's it's a battle right because we had that little devil on one side, a little angel on the other who they talk into each year, and so we consist. That's why that's why training is so important. That's why understanding the process of creating a character be prepared preparation. Discipline Professionalism. All of that comes into play. So that, you're standing on solid ground and you have foundation when you come into that position, you know what you're doing. I was looking through your IMDB. Have you ever played a non Latina character? I have there been a few of those roles were actually white. Jane. That was written white. Gabrielle and I have the same representation, and they sent me the script and I got a meeting with Martin Brock. Akil and she was like I know Lisa's work. And we sat down for three hours and talked about Cara and. She's like I want you to be my car. It also shows you the value of having a person of color. Be The other person on the other side of that table. Right like the heels would get that absolute asks. They are so fro. You know black and Brown. Absolute.

They Call Us Bruce
Filmmaker Renee Tajima-Peña talks 'Asian Americans'
"Teach Asian American studies at UCLA. And it's embarrassing. How little I knew. I'm being when I went back. I mean don't tell anybody with my colleagues because Dr Ahead filmaker would you expect but I mean you know. People are worried now about naturalization and I kept on thinking well that's a new thing but in fact South Asians back in the nineteen twenties were who had citizenship here were denaturalized. I mean they were because of the got sing tin case by God sing. Tin Was an immigrant from India and he was actually a World War One veteran I mean he fought he served for the US military in World War One so he was given citizenship for. Maybe four days or something like that. But then they reversed it because he was Indian Dan so he also went to the US Supreme Court and the only thing he can argue back then was while. I'm I'm white because I'm Caucasian because I guess that's the region or whatever and the Supreme Court decided. Yeah you're Caucasian but you're not white but you sure ain't white not white so no no no. You can't have citizenship. So he was naturalized. And then all the South Asians with citizenship were then de-naturalize and when you're denaturalized. You don't only lose the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Like your property you lost your property. I mean it was. Just you know as heartbreaking the case of cutting thin is it's so interesting because it's like it confirms very like on the Supreme Court level. Whiteness is like why disease it's racist such a construct in that in the in the most sort of You know those like constitutional way that they've like defined it. You know what I mean like. You're definitely not white. We need to confirm that like you're not the common man's definition of white. Yes I think what's What's also a deeper structure aspect of? This is that speaks to the uncomfortable role that as I have played throughout history And especially in the present day right that we have been seen in some ways as a kind of like The stopgap other right uh-huh our yeah the wedge or the fill in or you know the standings for various things I I'm thinking here of the earliest immigrants. The United States as a Chinese United States specifically and Japanese as well it were brought here in part because there was a need for labor after After black slaves were free right so there was this sudden. Shortfall of people to do heartbreaking work at very low pay and they decided that it was cheaper instead of to hire black people to actually import people from across oceans right and that instantly set up a narrative for us to be seen as kind of the replacement minority and overtime. We've we've had this kind of pushing pull in terms of where we belong. How adjacent perhaps to whiteness and blackness. We belong or whether we belong here at all right because that's as we began this conversation. Talking about a cyclic thing where it seems like American decides. We don't belong so I you know one of the things I think about. This documentary series is how well that that subtext kind of plays out in in the way that the narrative has been framed. And when you're trying to do one hundred and fifty years of history you have to actually will. You can't tell all of it. It's really not in real time. So how did you decide what to include and whatnot? They're just so much right. You've got yeah you've got five episodes. And then the and the whole of Asian America. Yes so so. What do you do and as you know? Country Music got thirteen hours. Five hours hundred Fifty Years American history. How many how many hours did baseball in the civil war? I well Vietnam workout seventeen or something like that. But I mean that's that's fine a deserved it. But you know countries excessive.

Entrepreneur on FIRE
What Every Business Owner Needs to Know About Healthcare with Saul Marquez
"Saul say what's up to fire nation and share something interesting about yourself that most people don't know fire nation is a pleasure to be here and I know all of you are on fire. I'm on fire to John. One thing that most people don't know is that I went through the J. L. D. podcasting Boob Ham. I invested in your last kickstarter book campaign and spent some valuable time with you and kate over in Puerto Rico. And let me just tell you? I'm putting everything in the practice and I am on fire The podcast is rocking on all cylinders. And I'm excited to share some of the things we're a healthcare focus podcast and now a media company Happy to share the areas of success that we've had the challenges but most importantly you know the the the opportunities for for your listeners. That are that are Providing healthcare benefits to them their employees or to themselves how to be smart about it so appreciate the The opportunity to be here John and excited for our time together. We'll I'm fired up because it really feels like a full circle moments to me because like when I saw your name come across when I offered up the day with jail D. I was like yeah well. I'm spending a day with this guy. He's cool. We know we got on our little pre call all right. This is going to be a fun day. He came down to Puerto Rico. We had a great time. Just made it happen from morning 'til nights in you know when that happens. Fire nation invest in yourself at that level. Because let's just be honest a day with jail de ain't cheap. I just knew that saw was going to go off and do some great things. Of course he is doing and I just really love that whole process of seeing somebody come down here form. Just the concept of what they're going to create and then go off actually creates awesomeness. And as I mentioned in the intro. Today we're GONNA be talking all about what you need to know about healthcare and how it can literally make or break your business fire nation because one thing when I was going over. You know what we're going to chat about today. Saw The blew me away is that the healthcare economy is three point. Four not million not billion trillion dollars in you found a way to grow your business by tapping into this. So how have you done that? And how can fire nation maybe get a little pieces of Pie to John? A great way to start this trillion with a t fire nation. So the thing that matters here is that so one day I was So by the way. Three years into the PODCAST. I've done over five hundred interviews so cool. I've had an incredible experience and through the process. Have become a thought leader in the in the healthcare space in one of my interviews With Gavin Tayo. He's a venture capitalist in in healthcare devices Wellness he he. He helped me realize this insight John and fire nation. That healthcare is an economy. It's not just a vertical. It's three point four trillion dollars. And and here's the deal. There's three things you have to know about it. And it's riddled with opportunity. It's that number one. It's highly inefficient. Their silos everywhere. And it's highly complex so so with these three things in mind you have to understand with highly inefficient systems. There's an opportunity for you to simplify. And if you are not in healthcare. Think about what. Your solution is whether you be in digital marketing or it or software. Think about the solution that you have today. There's an opportunity for us that and purpose it for healthcare The silos that exist everywhere. That's an area that I was able to tap into and and add value so not only is data silos from hospitals to clinics to to public healthcare institutions. The communication is silent. Nobody talks to anybody and when I started the the PODCAST and Alan over with John to learn how to do it like a master I was able to actually Bring back some some some massive improvements in the way that health care leaders share their information their best practices now. Everybody taps into the outcomes rocket the outcomes rocket podcast is the name of my podcast to find out what's going on in healthcare and and I mean today as I said over. Five hundred interviews. Wow are we nowhere near the site of John's of course but we're doing fifty thousand plus downloads a month job. And it's so niche though. I mean that's what I love. Is that area fifty thousand downloads. A month on apart. Gas In that Niche. That you've carved out for yourself is equivalent to hundreds of thousands of listens a month in a vigor niche and. That's why I always tell people that. Let me listen to my podcast level. I'm like well. It all depends like if you're doing a ballet podcast just for people that do do ballet. Then guess what a hundred listeners per episode could be a wonderful business because now you have such a core audience right there. There's tuning in specifically in that. Little tiny niche. So the Richardson. The niches obviously three point four trillion dollars. Which is the healthcare economy is not this tiny niche. But just he's focus on healthcare. He's not just like I'm going to interview successful entrepreneurs I've done fire nation which worked by the way back in two thousand twelve. He launched a podcast here in two thousand nineteen. And beyond. When you're listening to this. I mean you've really got to choose something and go with it and that's why when saw was down here in Puerto Rico. I was like dude. You're got his rights like you need to become the person in this niche in this vertical in this industry. He's done that in three years. And five hundred plus episodes and he keeps on going and one thing before I pass it back over to you so I want to mention because you use this word master fire nation. Every single master was a disaster. I was a disaster. I saw was disaster. Every human being was a disaster before they were a master. So when you're hearing salt talk about getting a piece of this three before trillion dollars and you're like but I don't even have a clue yet. We'll of course you yet because you're a disaster right now in that area because you haven't done anything but you will become a massive by putting the work by putting the time by listening to people like myself and Saul who are doing things in our respective niches so saul takeaway brother. Yeah Yeah and just to add to that John is is the when I when when I first sat down with you remember being in the in the in your living room white boarding you blew my mind with funnels. You blew my mind with that with batching. I mean all these things I'm doing now and and I'll be honest with you. Most people think I'm crazy. They're like you're not you're doing four to five episodes a week you're nuts and I'll be honest Because of the time we spent together. I'm like you know what I mean. I'm doing a great job but there's more could be done. There's this crazy friend of mine his name. And what's crazy about that? Those soldiers to break in for a second is people. Louis assume on the busiest person the world they always say that. And I'm like I hate to break. It's because this might like kind of make you feel a little bit bad but I am so not busy like today. I'm really busy. I am doing like seven. Am to nine PM. I'm working essentially every day. I have multiple working every hour multiple multiple interviews back to backs. But this is the one day this week that I'm putting in any kind of work like this. The other four five six days this week I literally have this open schedule worship me creating doing what I WANNA do. Exercising on the pelt on the talking about during our pre interview chat like so you can produce like Saul produces you can produce content like I produce on this high quantity level without killing yourself. You just gotTa have these batching situations that we're talking about you can have the system to the automation that again take time. It's going to be a disaster for your first but over time you can become a master. So salt back to you rather. Yeah no it's great great great Chad and and you know so so as we as we discuss Podcast and I think we'll John because this is a lot of fun. Now we'll go back and forth from podcast And the business stuff and the healthcare stuff. If that's cool with you definitely awesome so so really you know taking a dip back into the into the healthcare. You know your your your employees health benefits. They keep rising your personal benefits. Keep Rising I. I had a partnership with the with the benefits company that I met through an interview on the podcast It turned into a business partnership and I and I learned through that partnership the nature of the insurance business and and I was. I was flabbergasted number one Because and it's an honest there's truth here so so just so you know the nature is that healthcare in the US is a business insurance in the US is a business businesses seek to grow and that means that your costs are GonNa rise as a consumer of them. And if you if you if you think about it for a second you know. There are a large portion of hospitals in the United States that are publicly owned companies insurance companies that are publicly owned companies and the way that that they improve their revenue and profits is by reducing costs and increasing their revenue which is your premiums and the costs that it costs all of us to get healthcare.

Pride are going to tell us how they are going to do in the game and make predictions on these survivors based solely on on their cast photo. If the lot is allow pressure. My deums been ringing in from thirty nine talk about where now I did. I will preference to preference this by saying I look at the cast photo but I didn't look at anybody's individual photo so I find that the individual photos really aww matters essentially because that is what you're projecting to the world high. You won't do now last season. Oh you and I took a look at all the photos you said that you thought the runner-up. Gavin had what it took. He had the look he was. He was right there right there. It's right there. You are so close I was close. You were so close you also definitely notice Chris underway underway winner of the season so he call you know more than my IRA but yes and so listen so this thing mind lab. They said this is unreal. This is young science. This isn't that he doesn't really know what's going to happen but look at the results prove that the proof is in the pudding not to pay the guy. I was going to do another pudding pot but I don't you yeah. We don't do that anymore. It can't over a fortunately okay but the approve so I'm excited and I am excited because I when I looked at the Cath. It looked like a nice diverse cast you know and all different shades colors and according to the twitter a lot different size for the twitter said they nice. I'm plump thirty thirty nine. Thirty nine is a plump season which I'm here for okay. They're ready because he you WANNA go into survivor with some extra pat. That's ideal death breath idea. That's what I would tell anybody to do and real quick. Look you know me. I got a story on a story but I won't be long so long. We were at Ponderosa for my season again. I wasn't thinking about that. I wanted to be slim and trim like we can't talk but we cannot fees had there and they you know you fhu com you can kind of go up and and the people that were like trying to pack pack packet on where Spencer and I forget the guy's name was his name. Gary who whatever his name it was like the big issue gear was they used to give us boil as as gear will run up and things like fifth boiled aid and that became an issue that people were going. I went to like the production like why he takes little aches. It's not enough oil. A fight about chicken's neck starts. Bentham will eat like two who plates lie at every meal and I was like my guy. He's so skinny like what and I was like. Oh my God. They're gonNA have diarrhea but you know for. That was just my little. They were trying to pack it all on me. I would just try to queue problems making shock of fit in to the Purple Pants. I knew the fourth Purple Panther podcast. I had to be popping hopping. Okay not sure if people at home can hear her. They come in and get us around they said do you want a hotel room. That's low or on a high floor. I said we'll give you a high floor because we're recording podcasts. Get away from the street noise. there's no no escape okay all right Brian. Also I got some holiday and express the field and this coffee is not not great really could use the southern Pecan. I was hoping that you had brought some hottest brought my little. What about I would a

Popcorn with Peter Travers
An Interview With Nicholas Braun of HBO's "Succession"
"Peter travers is this is popcorn where i tell you what is popping in the culture and h._b._o. Has a show called succession which i love. I love every minute of it. I'd even seen the i five episodes of season two how you know things and my guest today nicholas braun place cousin greg makes him a fan favorite and one of the great things about succession. That's rare and television is that season two is better than season one. It's even more decadent than delicious a what do to you. Nick thank you so. Our work is done here all right. That's it. Well yeah thank you well. Let's start by saying the poor benighted souls that had had yet to watch it. They need to know cousin. Greg is yeah yeah yeah. Is this dude cousin greg so the shows about a very very wealthy family billionaire family the movie studios news networks newspapers and amusement parks cruises and cousin greg greg comes in luckily at the right time when the patriots of the family is giving his company to his next to the two one of his children altern and the other kids. Maybe want the job too but this kid kendall's gotten in the pilot. He's gotten chosen and greg comes in. He was working working in the amusement parks. He got a little bit too high. One day ended up throwing throwing up a publicly through his mascot costume through the eye. Holes has one you you know one of those bad trips <hes> we'd can do that. You know he hasn't seen the family and a while and he comes in and <hes> something about him. Strike slogan gene is appealing logan's play by brian cox the hidden in the headman turning eighty and at the end of the pilot everyone's thrown into flux and for whatever reason greg is still in the mix and so i guess that my my arc is sort of finding out. Can i stay in here get in deeper than she does because i think it's great that he can play dumb really well yeah. Is he playing window. You know well. No i mean there's calculation like no tomorrow to do that. So i was gonna say. Why did whoever said we. We want nick braun to play cousin greg. Was it about you that made them say. Nick must play cousin grech. What was that audition like. I got to use my nerves in the in the in the room with adam mckay and i got to be sort of. I got to transfer my nerves about out this thing wrong. This big audition into what greg is i think he's nervous in a room but i think he's also ambitious highly ambitious and and so the audition it was like i don't know i was i kind of let whatever comes out of greg's mouth whatever wants to come out and hung out an an atom gave me permission to and and so it was a lot of writers think that they should. They like <hes> improv going on. They do that then that's heaven to do that. Yeah they do like it. I do get recognized now as cousin greg. Are you walking around the city or and people say there. He is because we look at it. They love him yeah but nobody is really marley a model for anybody on this whole show. I don't know anybody anybody that you aren't suspicious too but yeah yeah do they come up and say cousin grad. They do yeah they shout cousin greg the show greg deeg so yeah i gotta the law. You're going to get the whole thing. You know. You're going to get the company you know. I think it should happen. I wonder if they even know 'cause you just been renewed for season season three. We have indeed yeah. Congratulations thank you. That's kinda great yeah. I've never been a part of some kind of is the new game of thrones just with people wearing suits and you know dragging insulator slogan. They're they're dragging unconcern. Risen Motherhood
Moms in Process
"Has married to josh and his mom to two adorable. Children ran cohen in addition to work arisen motherhood. She's a budding writer an acclaimed wedding photographer and of course we consider her a close friend on today's episode. We're going to give an inside look at the book writing process but also talk about what it looks like to be faithful in any area of life including shooting motherhood when you feel like you just haven't arrived yet okay. Let's get to the show with autumn emily myself. Hey guys welcome to this episode of risen motherhood. I'm autumn the communications manager for the r._a._m. Team and i'm here with lauryn immolate who are joining me to talk about their book today day along with the idea the women who are in process so hey guys how you doing. We're really good. We are so excited to be chatting with you. I'm impressed. Autumn now is like super good. That was legit. Is this weird. I mean a little bit. I love eating to talk to you because it's sort of like fox's so this is fun. I feel like i can just pretend close my asset. I can't see your face right now over the video well i'm really excited to talking to you is thank you for having me on and you talk about the book and share with our audience a little bit of behind the scenes what it was like to write the book and also i think a lot of it connects you. What women experienced <unk> gospel on their own lives so <hes> to kick us off. I would love for you to tell us late actually got a book deal was was it something you were looking for something that sort of at just landed in the realm of possibilities in how did you feel found out. You'd be writing yeah well. We started started out of course as a podcast and we were just coming up with kind of a five episode pilot to see where it would go and that was really all that we had on the horizon to to begin with and then over time we kept playing more and more content may be a few weeks out or a couple months out and so our focus when we began risen motherhood hood was really just to be faithful to the message that kind of got laid on our hearts to just proclaim the good news to moms and away that could hopefully reach them right where they were at as we were processing those things too and i think about a year into having the podcast learn i were actually together working over a weekend kind of i think we were a power recording like a bunch of a bunch of episodes and email kind of popped up and invited us potentially connect with an agent to write a book and that was one of the first times we were like. Oh wow let's consider this in a serious way. Yeah i mean there have been inquiries prior to that possibly some like directly from the shore or different agents but nothing that really sounded super promising but this one was actually from arisen motherhood community member which was really cool with someone who had been listening into the show for a long time and she had a brother who was an agent and it was a pretty reputable firms and so we were like hey we want to take a second listen to this and so she she was willing as we emailed back and forth to connect us with them and really the ball got rolling from there and i remember him book pregnant at the time i was with my third her child and she was pregnant with her fifth child and so much of us was feeling like i don't really know like we'll talk with these people but maybe we won't write a book for a few more a years but it was kind of neat. What they did was actually a little bit sneaky where they past us each little piece of the proposals so a proposal is typically like twenty i five pages it could be even longer and our agent actually had us write pieces of our proposal really really slowly and we had no idea how to put together a proposal. We have no idea what one contained in so he just kind of like lettuce forward little by little these two pregnant ladies that were very overwhelmed and before we knew it was so funny i remember getting an email from him and he said and congratulations you've written a proposal so yeah it was really really cool to see that come together and it was scary to kind of release that offer ah different publishing houses and see what the response would be but we were just overwhelmed with this good response from a lot of different people others others were excited about the message that we were sharing and disappears really resonating with people so it kind of took probably six months from a few months wants from releasing the proposal to securing kind of a final deal but yeah it's exciting yeah and then from there we had about a year to write the book i moved during that transition so that was definitely a big transition to try to write a book and do that kind of stuff and maybe we'll talk about a little bit later but plenty of time technically to write the book and then you kind of move into this marketing season in which is is what we're in now a little bit and it feels odd and it's a little strange but it's also a really fun season so yeah that's kind of the journey in a very tiny nutshell. Shall i think that's great and i i love being on a team squash. You guys be co labors for the the gospel. I think it's really wonderful in really unique. I would look you know through this process what you guys learned about each other and also individually and then about the gospel in motherhood because i feel like this is a long season and the lord was doing a lot career relationships into your time writing well. I i learned about myself and i don't know very much me too did oh that i felt like again before we started we'd been podcasting on subjects related to motherhood and the gospel for about a year and a half by the time we started our draft and so there was this us at least baseline sense that okay. I kind of have a sense for how we wanna communicate. This is already laid out. I've written for many many years before. I read a lot but just again the deeper i got into it. The more i realized like wow i have a lot to learn about these topics. Still i think another thing i learned about myself which was probably the the biggest revelation or lesson for me is that i have a lot of critics living in my little brain that i'm always trying into please and this was a huge battle for me. Every time i sat down in front of my computer i felt like i was sitting down at a table and i could almost picture the personalities and and the people that were around me and the things that they were saying about my writing and who that's up very smart or odd. That's very funny. I'm done reading this book. I'm gonna put this down. She's she's not very relatable or all. Those different things that were just kind of made it extremely difficult to stay focused on the essence of what we were trying to communicate and just kind of i'm not be self-focused but be focused on the lord and i think at the end of it. I really felt freedom from that. I i had to come up against it. So much that there was just a point where there was no way this book was going to get written and less. I battled them with truth and was willing to say you might be right right but i am still got his still call me to do this and i can communicate the gospel with his help and i think just in terms of learning about laura <hes> <hes> i think i was just impressed over and over again with what a fabulous writer she is. She is so good at kind of taken a theme and just <unk> sticking to it like glue and carrying it and weaving it through all of her chapter is and that was something i really learned from her along the way and i also think like she was is a really good editor for me and she i again already knew those things but it was fun to watch in action just her ability to pull out different things that i may be needed to shift and tweak and just helped me hone in on how i could connect with people better and so. I just really really valued her as an editor i think sam oh oh hell we've been through so much kind of reliving it over here some flashbacks but i i would have to emily. I mean it definitely brings you to your knees with realizing all the things. You didn't know you didn't know and so that was a great reality check. I think we talked a lot about how humbling is to you. Write a book <hes> and then i was similar to emily <hes> a bit but in the idea of critics i think for me it's a little bit of a twist on that where i have a deep desire for people to just like what i wrote like for them to think that i'm clever or funny or that. It's really beautiful alert winsome and this is kind of to emily's credit. She's very good at reminding me that is never worth sacrificing truth for cleverness and i think that that is something where a writer you know they always say writers love their own words the most and nobody will love them as much as you and that ring in my ears because so often i would want to cling to just a rhythm or poetic moment or something that just felt really beautiful like you said are winsome and yeah and i wanted that more than i really wanted truth that is like a really hard thing to get around as a writer and just something that i had to be be willing and always remember that truth is about clarity is of utmost importance whether or not like i'm the best writer and it kinda goes back to what i was saying earlier. I i kinda kept having to ask myself. Is this something that might be helpful to a mom to read like is it gonna blow her away and be this most the most amazing thing she's ever read and most the time i kind of felt like no probably not but hopefully god is going to work through and move her not because of the words that i use in my sentence structure or the powerful our full argument but because the holy spirit's working in her life and like i can trust guide to do the work and my words don't have to and that that was a huge thing for me to overcome infield freedom as i write in terms of emily. I mean i would say a lot of the similar things. I think she is a wonderful writer and it was just really fun. She would right shoot draft a lot so she would have a chapter and we kind of be like yup. This is good. Let's move forward with it and then the next thing. I know i rewrote it. I rewrote it and so there's a new chapter in my inbox and then she rewrote it again and you build on your ideas really well and i think you want to hone them in and i love seeing that that i felt like you worked so hard on the chapters and you would have all these amazing ideas and frankly i still stand behind in general a lot of them could've worked the way the chapters because they all were wonderful but ultimately i really value emily's value for just like truth and clarity. I think we balance each other out really really well with our different strengths and i think that i don't know 'em. You were just really really helpful. Encouraging me and helping me process is through an argument in making sure it's really logical and again going back to it being helpful for them on the other side that it's so true to scripture and it wasn't bouncing around round which is something that i can kind of tend to do and so i thought that that was just really helpful and i was so thankful to have her by my side the whole time well. It was just really fun to work together and i think we learned a lot about the gospel and motherhood along the way too. We've touched on it a little bit but one of the things i learned was just on one on hand like it is hard to apply the gospel to motherhood like you have to stop and think and sometimes i have a chapter that i was trying to take the gospel <unk> framework and apply it to relationships and i would have to do a mind map on a piece of paper and paper and like draw all lines connect things i mean it.

Radio From Hell
Jim Belton, Jim Bowden And Baseball discussed on Radio From Hell
"He was one of a kind an original he will be missed former Yankees pitcher Jim Belton has died at the age of eighty Jim Bowden a picture of modesty treatment was celebrated iconoclast who left a lasting mark on baseball as the author of bowl for a raunchy shrewd irreverent and best selling players diary the tainted the games wholesome image he died on Wednesday at his home in the Berkshires in Massachusetts he was eighty years old even if you don't follow baseball I so for some reason somebody handed me a copy once a ball for and I read it it's hilarious and the ideas and he names names he played with he played with Maris and mantle he said Mickey mantle was drunk or hungover every time he came to bat yeah he talked about a better that way Mountbatten was blackballed among baseball for years after they hated him because he because he because he named names did you make a movie about it and it it it it it made it a shortlist sitcom he was on it too for life it may elect to five episodes anyway it's if you ever get a chance if you ever just you know pick it up and read it some time even if you don't like baseball it's a funny funny and kind of kind of their Revver I mean very irreverent book he talks about Elston Howard the catcher for the Yankees swapping wives with another player and on it goes on and on and none of the players are faithful to their wives on the road you know all the ins including him bounces including me I

The Big Picture
Avengers: Endgame Has Overwhelmed Hollywood. Is That OK?
"Sean fantasy editor in chief of the ringer. And this is the big picture a conversation show about the end of moviegoing culture, as we know. It just kidding vendors. Endgame ruled and is better than game of thrones. I'm here with Chris Ryan and Amanda Davin. Getting the Friskies we're going to talk a little bit about avengers and not game. Thrones. If you wanna listen to stuff about game of thrones. I encourage you to listen to Chris on the watch. Maybe you can catch up on the thrones. Which aired last night. Maybe you can check out Benjamin later this week in here all about the battle of winter fell in whether it worked or did not work. There are some dissension in the ranks here at the ringer today. We're talking MC you not just the movie itself. But also the box office implications, and what the aftermath of that means for summer movies. We're doing a little summer movie preview man, and I'll be chatting about it. But I I thought that you guys are the perfect pair to chat with after doing a deep dive with Mallory Ruben because Amanda, you're on the record is not being the biggest superhero movie fan in the world. But also someone who sees these films out of obligation and has developed a lot of feelings about them. And Chris, I tend to think you're the most you're the person who I'm most eager to hear what he thought about these moves every time you see. I'm right here. It's not that respect your opinion. Amanda, I think it's very valuable, but you're operating from a base level of not. So sure about this, Chris I. I think he if he can really go positive or negative. Sure. So I'm time. I'm wondering what you guys thought. Like, I'm a newborn baby every time I enter a movie. Yes. But sort like Benjamin button this baby. Did you cry? Speaking of a game. I did not cry. Okay mandate. Did you right now? I didn't staunching. So I cried because I feel right? And so. Chris what'd you think? I had like a feelings wave when Peter Parker and Tony stark reunited at the end of the movie, I just felt like entirely a piece, which I think is ultimately what they wanted you to feel which is that I was entirely a piece with the endeavor, I felt fine. And okay about the amount of time. I've spent thinking about this these movies and seeing these movies over the years, I think is really telling listen to you and Mallory talk about it because being a little bit older. I think that I don't quite have like deep passionate connection to it. It's not like a real maker break franchise for me in the way, some some others are, but at the end of the day, I felt like you guys pulled it off. You get you made it emotionally satisfying finales to what was pretty unprecedented endeavor in movie making history, and they made it work Mana. Yeah. I thought it was a fitting conclusion to this experiment for better. And for worse in some ways. It it certainly there was a little bit of everything for everyone, including. Me. I mean, the last show I was delighted I wouldn't say I was like crying or deeply moved. But it's very excited to see Hayley Atwell back into seek cap. I frankly old cap be very happy. And also, I thought pretty handsome for like a really old guy. It'll head ahead. And then yeah, that's true. They didn't age the hair. And I thought that nice. I thought the last shot was very sweet and was kind of going back to many of the themes that we talked about in our podcast about captain America the first venture. And some of the things that I felt the MC you had abandoned. And so I felt seen in that moment, which is not something that I often feel in these movies, it took three hours and a lot of garbage CGI to get there. So, you know, and, but I think other people delighted that we're delighted by that. And so again, there is something for almost everyone in these movies. And that's kind of what the experiment was about. Right. Yeah. Definitely. And you know, in the Morville months years that we did on the show in a you. And I talked about captain America. The first of. Injure. Chris unite talked about the avengers both of the things the key talking points that we talked about in those podcasts really rose to the surface on this one. You know in your in your case, it was how halio wells the most important person in the MC. You Chris for you. It was quite literally that Tony stark is the most important person, the AFC, this was a genuine sendoff. Yeah. I don't I don't think we'll be seeing Tony again. And it was interesting the way that they built him into the not just the centerpiece of the story, not just the emotional center of the story. But like the engine of the story, and I think when we talked a few weeks ago, you were saying that you're not so sure that they're going to be able to do this as actively without him. I think they're staring to an abyss. And I think they might dive in and the this is called Disney. Plus, you know, I think that the the way that we're going to be talking about these movies in ten years United texting over the weekend. And I was like, oh, should I read this comic line to kinda see where it's going or read the story line? And you basically were like here's what's going to happen in in ten years. We'll be talking about this so called to be friends with Sean. No, I think he sent the text and there are some. These are anti spoilers over here. Also. But he's like, I he sends tech. Sometimes I'm just saying we're gonna join but this. This one was like, wow. That sounds incredibly plausible. And it would take about ten years to get. You know what I mean? And but for me, you lose stark, you probably you're gonna lose Evans unless they graduate Evans too kindly, uncle who shows up somehow in some of the other movies. And I think they're going to take the characters that were remaining with the exception of Black Panther, captain marvel in the guardians. A lot of them are going to move to streaming a lot like Sebastian STAN, anti Mackie. They're going to streaming LOKI streaming Wanda envision explicable or going to streaming. So like a lot of these characters are now going to be on these little five episode little mini runs. And I think that they have a charm problem. Now, I think that there is going to be a little bit of a like we need to work to like build up some of these people again, and that will probably come with the characters that you were talking about. But it's gonna take them a few years to develop those projects, you're there's two ways to do that. I think it's evident to me. And I guess we'll see when Spiderman far from home comes out. But they do have a centerpiece in Tom, Holland that was the loudest cheer. I heard both times. I saw the movie that was the person that people were most emotionally connected to and that is the legacy of Downie Downey made that character very meaningful to a lot of people. You know, they they created that father son dynamic, so I could see that effectively being the new iron man of the series. The other stuff is is a little bit up in the air. You know, it's like I feel like the one thing we can kind of all agree on is that they really just handled Chris Hemsworth beautifully over the last five years. They've just figured out how to make him a trueblue movie star. Amanda, we'll talk a little bit about her enthusiasm for men in black international. Maybe later on this podcast but
