Usually they're $40. Yesterday. They were $90. Wow. We did not have rib eyes last night. A small meal for five bucks used to be able to get a lot for five bucks. You see, the cost of labor is going through the roof in order to keep people working. Even low skilled or no skilled labour because they're competing with the federal welfare state now. That is your tax dollars, So that's driving up prices. There's shortages of items that's driving up prices. And of course, inflation is driving up prices. I went also in Leesburg. To a gas station called sheets and I went to fill up my car. And the the premium price was unbelievable yet it's shot way up and it's not just them. I don't blame them. It's because we were energy independent. Prior to this man taking over and moving into the Oval Office. We're not energy independent anymore. You know, OPEC is back in action. And, of course, Russia gets their pipeline. This is the funny thing and the funny thing we're battling celerion. Potentates rapid s listen just like their users g deck listened just like a t. Tcjc deck has specific machine a specific thing that to choose. This is the fun part. I know that's the thing why you have to have a core between your your lead pokemon and who your swap is like. There has to be a relationship between the three. Poke him on so all right. Let's let's let's get them to fucking legend. Do let's still. I think that would be fucking awesome. Do get cranky. "We don't know anything so really. What we want to know is like something we want them to. I don't know tell us. Hey this this happened. Because i don't know you know look at this is this is what my position is. And you know. We've seen the differences in the way niantic kind of interacts with the community interacts with issues. And what we've the feedback that the community is shared with niantic. Like when they do things right is the number one thing is acknowledgement like just acknowledged that something's going on. There's a bad bug like mail medal in. Mpv they they put specifically out there like. Hey there's an issue with mel metal where taking them off line until we fix this and then we'll put it back and it's like all right. Great they're acknowledging it and they just have acknowledged that but is this something. That's like consistent from polka. Polka montlake is pokemon dealing with this or are some pokemon more affected. Like it's weird. We're trying to figure out. Basically we're on the on the alike very science right very immature team resourcing or wasn't shiny shanks was putting together like a database right. Yeah shaney chinks put together a excel sheet. And i asked her to like share. Its formula with me and we put it now on. Google sheets analysts like public. We tweeted it out at like help out like reach more people. And that's basically where we're at now. We have like eighteen or more written down bulk. Amman and some people are helping with the new hashtag. It's hashtag bring my buddy back. Yep actually i bring my buddy back and people are basically lake hashtag. Bring my buddy back. There is a picture of my a l. Electronics used to stand on. Its too late little fins and sale and it will look like funky cool now. It just floats like it doesn't have the sending animation anymore in some bookham on They're like petting animations. Have changed completely to something much more simpler. See that that that's like what's weird to me is that this doesn't seem like it's consistent across all the pokemon like all right. This is a blanket. Thing are all pokemon are going down from three to two emissions. And we're simplifying this animation. Maybe it's maybe it's a resource thing maybe like if something knowledgeable like yeah i either way and and that's really why i wanted to bring you on was because i want to bring awareness to this because you know i've worked with the community for so long and y'all era a very passionate bunch and i think that the way that you've been handling bringing awareness to this issue is a very respectful mature way and and constructive and that's why i was like. Yeah i gotta get behind this and kind of amplify this using this as a kind of platform here. Because i think the way that that the community has handled it has been very respectful and with a lot of couth and that's to be appreciated. So that's why that's why here man so niantic. If you're listening please give us a little acknowledgment like what what's going on here is this is something. That's a bug. is this something that's permanent..

"Angles poses actions whatever right and they basically removed at least one from many pokemon. See that like the the thing that that i thought was peculiar like you're saying like hey maybe this is. This is just the way it is right now. Which is bizarre. I in my opinion. But i would always check in on the note issues page and i didn't see anything about this and it's like why. Why isn't this thing like. Why isn't there some at least acknowledgement like missing animations during buddy adventure. Because really. that's what's going to separate a like you're saying that the real ability to to to get granular with what you're pokemon is doing. What the behavior of the pokemon is you. You're going to get those unique animations. It doesn't make sense to me that they would just pull it. Why yeah. i don't get any weird. And like i feel like i don't have my theories of course tinfoil hat and everything but sure Most of the animations they were changed for some something much simpler so like Real louis to like jump up in the air and throw up air bunch and like in celebration really complex animation. Now he likes files and vibes. Laurean leeann yeah they would just like jump up Really happy move their tails like move their front legs like if there were like a galloping horse on two legs you know brian and now they just smile and it it kinda like effective mostly the people were like really into one bokram on real lou and you love you love in your taking pictures of real lou and all of a sudden you have one less animation in your basically are placing area has been cut third right thirty three percent which is like i don't know i feel like as an ar company We're expecting more not less and I feel agnostic is doing was was doing a great job in like getting ghosn To be better and better and better and there's this southern very secret. Non informative change hand. We're like what's happening here. Adl she answers. We don't know if it's a bug if it send its final win. It's bulk owned company..

You better start getting an addition. The matt do the math now to lineup your seven day streak or your research breakthrough so you can feel the normal. Most that wants you know that for research Pony tat. they're not gonna do that. So but that's what i'm saying. It rewards the daily active player. I'm all for it. Let us know what you think. I like it. I definitely like it also double. Xp for breakthroughs will continue through the next season. We're still waiting to learn about the next season. We don't have those details yet. I'm sure that she'll drop any day now but What do you think giovanni his next shadow put bumblebee something repairing or man. I hope so. I give me gail darkness. Lucia give me like true shadow. Luhya actually get because then you could do. I mean you've already got shadow him to shadow. Armored you to that would be. That would be cool. That would be cool. That could be cool. But luhya louis has been like a a highly requested shadow but not just a regular shadow me. Fuck in gale darkness. When i want the fucking black lougee of i should have bad ass thoughts on clam pearl. Plus the remote raid pass double x. p. thing like not for it No okay i get. I don't think it will slow me down at all. But i could see where you're coming from if you if you're someone that doesn't hit your streaks you know not going to be able to take advantage of it as much as the next person but i i. I'm okay with that all right next up again. Working our way through june here The rate schedule and the reggie's will be the ones returning to five-star raids reggie rock registered and reg ice being available from june first through the seventeenth east read. Each reggie will get its own wednesday rate our.

"Me and my chinese. Yeah yeah yeah but faulk dude even the. Let's let's say don't buy a ticket. This is still an amazing event. Even without the event ticket. Yeah like plenty of spawns plenty raids. Plenty of shift do i. I just can't. I can't imagine a better price besides like free ninety nine but five dollars man like you can't go wrong. I think that it clearly defines the free verse paid track on the event. And when you look at all the fucking shit you get for five bucks. I don't. I don't think there's going to be a single fucking voice saying like it ain't worth it like that argument..

"That's fun. Nominal what do you think of that. That's cool that's hilarious right like the but listen. There's not that many people that would say yeah. I did twenty raids in one day. Like that's a significant number of fucking rates. I know there's plenty that do. But i think this can motivate people to be like you know what i'm gonna go fucking hard with rates. This is what this day is. All about and i think by giving people twenty one plus fucking rain passes will really promote the raid culture. Like we used to see. Because i i missed that shit like fucking crazy like crazy. See that happening. I think this is the this is the catalyst like this is. What's gonna take. But i know you were. You were not a fan of the team garage kit so raids over team rocket any day right. Yes yeah no for sure and bonus. Xp obviously good. I don't know. I just think this is a a solid way to do day to because it's a completely different vibe than day. One however all the poco monitoring day one will be available day to as well. But i'm going to say this again. Play the whole time if you do not have a go. Plus or a pokey ball plus invested in one. Right the second glenn. You have to do to find one because it's a disservice to yourself if you are not catching while rating yeah. People were faced with that. Yes that seemed garage it lasts an i was lucky enough to have a go plus to be able to use it. So aalyah now. That's that's the way to be the named shop. Get get a preowned one. Just get whatever. Do whatever you have to do to get one of these like now pases podcast in like go order one. And also you know make sure your stocked for this event. We don't know if they're going to be given away balls like they normally do but just be prepared. I hate for people to be like in the middle of a go fast and be like i'm out of fucking balls. My mom amount of balls an out of bowels. I have to reset my bowels. I i'm in balance right now. I have like eight hundred. Ultra balls like what the fuck am i doing and need to get that down the lake. Three hundred and put those five hundred spaces into regular balls. I can fucking use the go plus with reckless abandon and not worry about resources. That's typically what i need to do. But i don't know that's all good shit all amazing stuff now. Let's wind down from the the saturday. Sunday exclusive stuff. And we'll talk about the stuff that's now going to be featured both days for all trainers okay. Trainer photos using hashtag pokemon go fast..

"This is a social game and you know in a in a post vaccine world. We're looking to you know get live things going again in meeting up with friends and still being very responsible but you know the the way back towards live events like in the live connection of this game that you read that did you see that I see that okay. So hank you put out this beautiful thing saying like. Hey this is the future. We never thought we'd be here five years ago. You know here we are and we're on the way to responsibly. Bringing this stuff back and you know we're going to be doing new. It's a very inspiring post and it's promising because it says like all right. Well the game will start to go back to what it was because we have lost the community element of the game sure. Online communities have become stronger but physical communities have lost a lot of their connection just because covid so. This is really interesting that there's a raid element like it's going to be interesting to see how this pans out because we want people to be together at like a lot of people are even scared like oh shit. Does this mean like incense. Effectiveness is gonna go. Wait like the the quote unquote. I hate calling miss but the covid both like no walking for gb l. You know the double of a of incense like that kinda shit. Will that go away. Is that what this this. This blog post was kind of like leading up to. I don't know towards. But i don't know i i really you know it's like i'm double vacs now. I'm not to fuck and be responsible of course but get back out. There were people More so than already. Do i still play fucking rate our with a group every week. You know we just were smart. Everyone's masked up and we're all distant so it's like i just want that back. So it's exciting to see this rolling. And i think raids could be the catalyst to kind of getting that vibe back going Because it requires groups but check this shit out. Ticket holders on sunday will earn extra ten thousand. Xp for every raid could do a tier one raid and get a bonus ten thousand so lucky egg. Twenty fucking thousand. What for an extra twenty k..

"Yes but like sock sock in throw. I've been just waiting for them to say. Oh those are going to be flipped in. Oh yeah yeah. Yeah yeah yeah all right time for day to Second day member last year was team go rocket which was okay for some and was dragged for others I don't know anyone that was like overly excited to do all the go rockets stuff on day to go last year. But now we're gonna have day to go fast being focused on raids. Everyone loves doing fucking rate. So that's that's good and the blog post doesn't have a lot of details here but it does promise to bring back fan favorites. I don't know what that means on a who that means. I don't know if it's let's say tinfoil foil hat and we're going to be. They don't tons of people gathering together. So i would assume that we're going to have a lot of shiny potential one-star raids like esper- zigzag june galeria usually only additional new chinese. Not just like shiny asper. Okay what whatever. I'm just saying like all a bunch of once. One stars that could be shiny. What if they bring every legendary back like what would be like fucking the wormhole fuck me. All the regis's educated. Guess maybe but now talking every released fucking legend man. I can't wait to just raid tons of like sui koon and almost all my god on some other over their shit rated. I mentioned reggie rock. I just can't wait. Oh my gosh are so excited. All pok mon appearing more frequently in the wild from and incense from saturday will also be appearing on sunday during even hours. So you can lighten up with the fomo on saturday for your catches because those bookham on will be available again on sunshine. Go now us or you're poco ball plus during these raids so you can. At least catch things was not catching. Now here's a question. I have fleas. Listen we have the habitats breaking things down and segmenting the spawn pools on saturday though. Same pokomo we're going to be available on sunday. I don't think there's going to be habitat rotation on sunday doesn't say anything about that. So does that mean that all the pokemon from saturday. We'll just be jumbled in spawn pool because that could be kinda fun where like you know if you look back at saturday in the jungle you can get shot. But in the desert and you can get fly gone so you would never be able to catch chats alongside flagons during different habitats. But maybe on. Sunday. they're all in one pool. I don't know how that's gonna work. We'll have to pay attention to that. But that could be kinda cool. How'd you pay attention to it. No one i'm catching everything anyway. Rug i don't give a shit -actly exactly But yeah we those are just kind of like some of the details. I don't know if that's enough to get people excited like what the rates are going to be allah. I don't know. I don't know how it's gonna work with raids on the highway. Suggest there would be a lot of one in three star raids that everybody can do because you only need a few people for three star raids and you're thinking on like a a a com consumer standpoint on this like. Yeah yeah want as many rates to be able to be completed as possible and one is you spend most passes. Yeah yeah i mean. Radically in financially the ba- smartest move and if they can all be shines. Don't get you sanded. Did you see like the the letter that was posted on the niantic blog from john hanky kind of like talking about the future and talking about how yes..

"And then lose this is this is pretty hot. A bunch of new chinese being released into the event wismer chime echo and audino and tim poll making their shiny debut echo fest. So four new chinese right there. This is again. This is kind of like a terrible for everyone. So it's not just ticketed yet when we're still talking about the free experience that's some. That's some hot shit. What do you think of these new shiny. And what do you think of them being available to everyone. Now think back to last year where it was like it. Did it really matter if you had a ticket when it came to shine as the rate like like it's always weird when you think about the free version versus the paid version like do you think there's going to be more chance to catch a shiny if you have a ticket i'd imagine so right. I demanded show. 'cause you'd have more pokemon bonding with incense you'd have more pokemon spawning that like are relative to the event so if you want a specific one yeah i don't know and then again with the with the costume glaring x. Gounon ponytail like it. They'll be cute to have like a couple of also be shiny though. Yeah so you get whatever you try to go for and you try to get the luck. Lucky ones you try to shine. Get a shiny one there again. They don't necessarily matter you just getting them for cosmetics. It's like peak. Choose right now. I know but the the fact being since these are not their event spawns. But they're not like incense events bonds like does that mean that the the rare will be full odds. You know what i mean like. this is remember. This is the free event. So this is all i know. Is you best. Be plan from ten from from nine fifty nine whether you get a ticket or not whether you gotta take it or not all the way till six all right. That's the first part. That's max ready for saturday water bottles ready and get your your walking shoes ready. We'll actually everyone get your water ready..

"As i can see feasibly possible for a company to say like this is an event ticket fucking mr rhyme costs more than this you know. Don't even get me started. On that event it was seven ninety nine for that fucking event and then you get go fast for five bucks. They should salaries so funny. So so funny. The happened all right so last year. We had the habitats on day. One and team go rocket data to so now we kind of have. I don't know if the habitats are kind of roll over to the second day but we do know that all the pokemon available on day one will be available on date too but looking at these four jungle desert mountain ocean beach and cave any them kinda stand out. I liked jungle. 'cause i reminds me the tc g. by site. There's a big one. I need the xl candy. I have to after the one with dino what you gotta go for cave you have to. I'll be playing during the entire event. So don't matter i like google jungle packs had site there on them. This is cool. That's what it makes me feel. Okay you know junge aright. I feel jungle. It goes hand in hand. Hopefully they have flare on in there too. Yes yes okay all right. So continuing on saturday details. Now we're gonna see raids featuring hit on top cranny dose and dino plus galeria nita and glaring zigzagging wearing special costumes. All right so let. Let's talk about this really quick dino and raids so again it's going to be like gable. Everyone's gonna be fucking right rating. Dina we know that but think about all the people that had been breaking their ass for this glorious zeyun shiny this week like spending big money to do these one star raids and now it's going to be all over the place in fucking go fast. You know what i mean. It's not like with a costume. So even a more chase version of the fucking shiny. I i dig it. I love it. I think it's awesome. I think that to see what galeria opponent to look gonna. I know i know so..

"What he said anyway. Yeah they're the event sponsor. That's pretty cool. Will this impact ios users sort of. We'll get get to that in a bit so not that big a deal but first let let's start with the go fast basics and we already know two day event virtual saturday july seventeenth sunday. July eighteenth it runs from ten. Am to six pm so a shorter time duration than we saw last year. I don't think that's a big deal. Eight hours of still fucking long. Especially if you're going to be out there grinding stephanie. Enough to split the day up. You wanna play in the morning. You wanna play any afternoon play towards evening. You wanna play all day. It's you have those options. There's so much so much room for activities during during the eight hours. But let's talk about saturday details that are going to be available to everyone so regardless of whether or not you purchase the five dollar ticket which is available now so you can get that now in the in the store did you say now i said now dude i say now as you're listening to this you could go as you're listening to this. You can go yes the in game store and portrayed taha's the podcast go buy the ticket yet by we'll wait and full disclosure. We are going to get our tickets for free from niantic. They were even selling her poster of her posing with it for thirty five bucks and it's not sold out the website had some glitches but it was not sold out. So they're telling people don't pay a thousand dollars for the scream because more is on the way. Can you imagine. That's insane
A Culinary Tour Of Brexit
"Joined today by frank langfitt. Npr's lennon correspondent. Frank hi. hey it's great to be here. Cardiff great to have you so frank from what i understand. You are about to take us on a kind of culinary tour of brexit. Today's yes that's right so quick. Refresher on brexit cardiff. Uk voted to leave the you to escape red tape in brussels. So they'd be free to cut new free trade deals. This was like a number of years ago. Two thousand sixteen. The uk finally completely got out of the eu on new year's eve which means different things to different sectors here but today we're just going to focus on one of the hardest hit that's food as specifically we're look at wasters cheese and wine because we found his each item tells a different story about the real world consequences of brexit so far. So that's our plan. And here's the menu wine cheese or oysters cardiff if you want to start with. I don't know frank. I think i'm in the mood for oysters. Let's start there good choice. We're surrounded by water here in britain so the story of oysters is that when you suddenly face new regulations doing business is so much harder and no one is feeling this more than this. Fisherman that i met is his name. Is jonathan bailey very way this is late this is this is just rain rain water. I'll get some jonathan harvest oysters on a river in the southwest of england on the day that i met him. It was raining so we were bailing out his robot. Yeah i'm assuming Frank jonathan exports his own to europe. And that's why you're talking to him so a one eight tells how that's going for him now. That brexit is reality. Things are going really badly. So before brexit when the uk was in the eu there was seamless trade like between the states in the us and jonathan dredged up his oysters. They were shipped to europe and then they were cleaned which worked out just fine now. After brexit. Those british oysters are subject to eu rules about imports. Just like any other country outside the eu. so jonathan's wasters now have to be cleaned here on this side of the english channel. And i know this doesn't really sound like a big deal but if you're in the business it is and that's because it adds costs and it means there's less time to get those oysters on a european plates before they die. A bottom line are going to die in transit so this and other changes because of brexit have really hurt the fishing industry in fact shellfish and fish exports to the eu just in january. We're down more than eighty percent year-on-year now. The government likes to call this just teething problems in trade volumes overall are already rebounding. And that is. I gotta say a staggering dropped eighty percent plus. It is dead always tres and frank. I'm no expert on this. But i mean dead. Oysters are not good tasty oysters. No and you can't any money off them. Obviously so jonathan is one of like more than forty fishermen and women around here who are pretty much out of work. This season and i asked him when we're out on his boat like how he thinks it's going to impact them in the long run. Do you think that you'll keep fishing. Or i'm sixty six. I'm wondering whether this is the moment to say the. How would you feel about not fishing anymore. I would be very very very very upset. Okay so frank. Things clearly not looking good for the fishermen on the english coast. What's next on the menu where we're headed next in in our brexit tour so next off the whales for wine and then the northwest of england for cheese wine and cheese nice pairing classic traditional. Let's do that right after a quick break. This message comes from. Npr sponsor interactive brokers the professionals gateway to the world's markets. Microsoft teams helping priority. Bicycles transform. the way they work when the pandemic hit they started doing virtual visits on teams. Now people worldwide can come into their showroom more at microsoft dot com slash teams. Okay frank we're done with the delicious oyster chorus. So let's continue on with this brexit culinary tour and frank. I could really use a bevy. So what were you saying about. Wine is a really good example of a frankly how brexit can cost you in the checkout line. So let's head to wales and we're gonna meet daniel lambert who imports wine. So this is all little warehouse so daniel reports tens of thousands of cases of wine each year most of it of course from europe and for daniel. This used to be really easy. We used to just have to one very very simple simplistic but now because the uk's outside of the u. it's brexit. There's so much more. I have to send the order to the producer. The producer then produces pro forma invoice which they sent back to me on the pro forma invoice. They have two quite mild a number so hunting trip daniel down a bit because he actually went on. For more than a minute but describing. The avalanche of confusing forms now has to fill out. He said each separate set of forms cost seventy five bucks so scale of one to ten. How much are you enjoying this new system. Yeah it makes sense. I mean everybody hates paperwork. Super annoying. But frank did you ask him you know what about the real impact on his business. What he said is paperwork. Costs will be passed on to consumers but some small retailers won't be able to afford the extra paperwork cost ordering different kinds of wine so in the end that's actually going to mean less variety on the shelves.

A new way to invest that doesn't involve buying stocks hyped on Reddit
"So lately. All the buzz his been about well. Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Bitcoin recently fifty thousand dollars a bitcoin and people who've been buying the stocks that are being touted on read it and it was all that mess that went on with Game stop and other stocks. That went up like rockets and then like rockets can do crash back down to earth and my son is in this investing group at school. He's fifteen and they're investing not real money but they all have their stock portfolios and wanna read you to texts from him from this morning. They're really funny. Is said in the last nineteen minutes. My stock portfolio dropped by six sixty. Then he texts me eight minutes later and these eh. then it went up by eight hundred dollars. And i the other night. When he was trapped. In the car with me i started boring. I'm trying to talk about how my philosophies investing work very differently than matt worrying about day trading and options and all. That was going to happen up to the minute and if you thought a father could be more irrelevant to sun then i was that minute you you couldn't be no interest in anything i was saying because to him. This is sport and that's what investing has been of late call. Investing is really speculating. And that's not my thing. I mean i'm the dulles person alive and i invest in a dull way because the ideas i wanna make money over time and so. That's why i get excited about really accessible. Investing opportunities for small investors did allow you to build reasonable wealth over time instead of trying to get the quick score and my son's a sharp kid hill. Eventually get it and will not that. It matters what you're buying and selling minute by minute. And by the way he's asked me if he can have a real investing account. Will you know you'd have to have what's called a custodial said yeah yeah where where you were the pretend owner but i'm the one doing the investing and i don't know what to do you know. Give them a couple of hundred dollars and let him play. And maybe learn the value of term investing. But you know it fifteen. What is long term. That's like three days from now. It's hard to explain a concept where you build wealth over time well do you know goldman sachs is goldman sachs is for rich people like crista. People was massive amounts of money. Who work with a personal financial manager. Who handles their money for them. That's right krista. That's what you do with your millions. Yeah no no okay. So there are. There are very wealthy people. That's what they do and goldman sachs has been doing some stuff lately that doesn't fit at all their historical pedigree They're the ones that issue the apple card for people that have the apple credit card and they have Savings accounts and all that kind of thing with no minimums will now. They've launched some cold. Marcus invest which allows people to use goldman sachs incredible financial analysis investment analysis till build robo investing portfolios for you using very low cost funds. And this is something you would ask somebody. Ten years ago if goldman sachs would ever being looking to provide investments an investment advice to everyday ordinary. People they'd say you're crazy. That will never happen. Well they're not doing what fidelity investments does where a dollar is enough to open an account many cases schwab one hundred dollars. They're doing what vanguard. Does you have to have a thousand bucks to open an account but once you have that thousand you can get advice that is tailored to your personal financial goals and outlook. The money can be and a retirement account or an investment account use what are known is exchange traded funds. Etf's and typically for the advice and the investments you pay roughly a third of a percent per year for them to handle your money. So i guess ten thousand dollars be thirty five bucks a year. Is that right. I think that's about right. three dollars. Fifty cents on a thousand. I think that's right so this is an opportunity for you to do. Investing through the nation's big boys big money houses and their whole business plan is pretty similar to what you'd have if you were with Betterment or wealth front that really started this whole investing idea. And i'm sure neither of them are very happy the goldman sachs through. Marcus invest is playing in their ballpark.

At-Home COVID Tests Could Become the Norm for Americans
"From wondering. I'm david brown. And this is business. Wars daily on this thursday february eighteenth when it comes to cove it. Here's one thing we know for sure. Widespread testing is vital to slowing down the pandemic so vital in fact that report from the university of colorado released last november found that testing seventy five percent of the city's population. Every three days would reduce infections by eighty eight percent just from people knowing whether or not they're spreading the virus but we can't know better if we can't get tested and depending on a litany of factors like where you live and what time of year it is getting in person test can be at least an inconvenience if not almost impossible. Wait times at test. Sites can be hours long in some places. Some testing locations require a referral from a doctor and is getting a test really worth asking a potentially sick person to show up at a physical location especially if they have to use public transportation to get there. Well no it's not says the us government that's why the white house just signed contracts with six new companies that are producing at home test at home. Tests are already available to some degree in the us but president biden wants to make sure they're really available. Americans will have access to sixty million At home kobe tests by this summer if all goes to plan australian diagnostic company. Aloom just signed a multimillion dollar deal with the us to build a production center for at home tests in the us. There's is a rapid antigen tests that connects to wait for your smartphone. Then drops the fluid with the sample on it onto the device connected to the phone and then they wait but not for long test can detect covert in a nasal sample and around fifteen minutes. The whole thing sounds like it should be expensive but the test is set to cost thirty dollars and be available over the counter at retail outlets like cvs early clinical studies though small indicate that looms test is ninety six percent accurate when compared to the standard pcr tests. Those pcr tests can take days to deliver results. Meanwhile the ad home test from abbott will be the cheapest option at twenty five bucks. But you'll need a prescription to get it. Which could slow distribution users. Take the test in front of a train teleworkers. Through a video app the test was found to be around ninety. Two percent accurate for positive cases and one hundred percent accurate for negative cases reports business insider even though accuracy rates can be high for at home tests. There's still a chance of user error to that end. Alums smartphone device. Notifies you if there's not enough of a mucus. Sampled attest and avid is hoping that its teleworkers can coach users through proper swabbing technique but there are tests on the market that even with the best intentions can't account for user error the at home test by pixel labcorp which runs for a hundred dollars unless covered by insurance gives. Test takers clear. Instructions on how to swab. But it can't be sure users are doing it right and that opens up the possibility of a false negative result which could spread the virus instead of preventing spread. Now take a guess as to which. Us mega corporation has just made an at home test available for its shoppers
"five bucks" Discussed on KOA 850 AM
"That. We'll call it five bucks. 31 pinpoint whether it's called to say the least, evidence today gonna be in the low twenties, and that's where we start our our news. Probably all morning long. Denver heading into the deep freeze. It's gonna be a cold weekend on tap in the Metro will be around 20 for the next couple of days as highs, but the Biggest risk are those overnight lows. Kind of like what we're talking about right now. Temps in the single digits tonight, then sub zero through Monday morning. There's also round of snow coming for Saturday into Sunday. That's no will continue into Sunday before tapering off Sunday night, that chance of Snow will deliver 1 to 3 inches across the Metro, maybe even up to four towards the Northern Front range. Fort Collins in Greeley, Fox 31 chief meteorologist, Dave Frasier, Sunday's high will be just seven degrees in Denver. That is the high the incoming cold could leave you with questions of Out how to handle it around the house. Can't we? News Radio's Chuck Clark joins us live with the details. That's right. April we could do more than just talk about the weather. They're interesting ways to prepare made people you know, are concerned about frozen pipes. There's hose Bibb covers at your favorite home center arrives could do in a pinch. This one sounds a little interesting, but keeping your faucets running actually leave the water dripping just a little bit. Keeping inside Cabinet doors open so that area south throughout the house were plumbing is located at walls. Outdoor walls could stay warm. Now you know your pets pretty basic. Keep him inside as much as possible. Clean their little paws or snow, and after they come in, you know, failure to provide proper shelter for your pet is a $999 fine. So let's face it when the weather is just bad. You don't feel so bad about being lazy and inside all day. Actually, that's what I was gonna do. Anyway. It's all good. Yeah, Yeah, It looks like there's a lot of things you could do, but stay warm out there. I did like John just said. It's not even that cold. This is gonna be this weekend. Yes, thank you. Disney smashes streaming subscriber expectations
"We start off with disney delivering in its latest company smashing streaming expectations the stock higher in the after hours session. Let's get straight to julie abortion. Who is fresh off that disney call julia. Melissa earnings call underway right now. The stock up nearly three percent after the company exceeded expert expectations on the top line in reported a profit rather than the loss analysts anticipated. Now the two key areas in focus parks and streaming both outperformed expectations disney's streaming business outpaced projections going to ninety five million disney plus subscribers and one hundred and forty six million total direct. To consumer customer is now that includes hulu and espn plus that division grew revenue seventy three percent from the year earlier quarter especially pleased with the success of our correct. The consumer business and our recent strategic reorganization has enabled us to accelerate. The company. Said it was a dc first business model and further grow our streaming services disney plus has exceeded even our highest expectations. Meanwhile the parts visions revenue dropped less than anticipated down by fifty three percent the company announcing that covert has headed two point six billion dollar impact on the parks divisions operating income as a result of closures and reduced capacities. Where we've been able to reopen are with limited capacity guest have consistently demonstrated a willingness and a desire to visit which we believe is a testament to the fact that they feel confident. In the health and safety protocols we've put in place average daily attendance at walt disney world significantly from q for q one japex saying they're continuing to invest to build out different features of their parks and they said they are very pleased with the reservations and consumer interest in visiting parks. Melissa of course that's going to be in focus as they start to get to be able to increase their capacity in florida and are allowed to open up here in california. All right julia. Thank you julie. Borsen the latest on disney. Which is up three percent after hours. Dia dommie how do you like the stock. How do you like what they said on this. Call well kudos again. I mentioned the last night sort of took a pass on the kudos. I'll give it to her anyway. And tim who've been all over this and so listen. I'm not a huge fan of treadmills and this is going somewhere. Mel by the way suggest indulge me for a second but you get on a treadmill. You go eight miles an hour maybe walk. Maybe put down your honor for forty five minutes but when you get off your exactly where you started and i bring that up because listen. It's great that they keep adding people to disney plus i get it but as rich greenfield amongst. Many others pointed out our food down twenty-eight percent every year i'll tell you what that means because that's the game we play here but effectively a lot of ways that running in place. Now the naysayers will say. That's a bad thing. That's going to lead to decline in stock. And the optimists will say they're going to be able to monetize all those people there all by drew barrymore short with the delorean on it and those types of thing and maybe they'll go mr toad wild ride when the parks reopened. I'm not nearly as optimistic. So it's not a great ride valuations now or at levels where i don't think it necessarily should be okay and then it pick up on that point because i also read that tweet so this past quarter the arp average revenue per user was four dollars and three cents for disney plus and a year ago is five dollars and fifty six cents. Tim should we not care about this at this early stage of growth for disney for the streaming service. I don't think so. I mean i no. I don't think so. And i think you know guy may be like george jetson on the treadmill. I avoid treadmills i. I'd rather be out there and disney's running through the streets right now with with ninety five million and essentially when you add in hulu and espn plus. We heard those numbers. This strategic reorganization is part of the excitement. Here again. this division is up. Seventy three percent during a period when netflix is been in a sweet spot of engaged in couldn't be in a better position disney's outperform the stocks outperform disney from net flicks by almost forty percent since since august. But even over the last couple of years it's outperformed net flicks which we would all certainly agree is also making a move especially in terms of profitability. But again do we care about that. With netflix's should we care about that with disney when also they're showing that they can at least be profitable and their core business through very difficult times on the way out of kobe. So look i understand the profitability issues. At some point disney's got to create their own content. We know that's very expensive. But if you're asking me you know from from an investor's perspective. Am i happy with with the metrics that are driving the stock to move higher and thirty nine times five bucks. A share of two thousand and twenty two is is not expensive when you consider what is being paid for net flicks.
Woman sells crochet Bernie doll for over $20,000, donates to charity
"You've seen all of the Bernie Sanders means from Inauguration Day. A famous photo now of the Vermont senator at the inauguration shows up seemingly everywhere these days, and it raises thousands for charity, too. Thanks to a local woman. Compost, Brian Calvert explains. The photo shows a bundled up former presidential candidate sporting a pair of knitted brown tan and white mittens. The picture is definitely made the rounds and it also motivated Toby King to get out her crow. Shea Needles mind blowing because I knew Burning was training because of that picture, and I already had a Bernie pattern in a burning doll. So I just went and got that and I modified in Super quick plan. She wanted to do her own version of the Bernie in the photo. By way of crew. Shay and from beginning to start didn't get up and it was seven hours. But that's on top of the hours and hours of actually designing that that I did like a year ago, when it was all said and done. The Redmond woman had a doll, a perfect likeness of the now infamous photo. She even re created a tiny version of those mittens, the mittens, mittens or not that hard, it's just the color changing a special stitch. Now what to do with a tiny crew shade. Bernie Sanders doll. Toby King immediately thought of doing something good with it. After all, Bernie himself was already cashing in on the popular pose much of sweatshirts. And donated two meals on wheels. Vermont and I said that that is perfect. That is what I want to do. She decided to sell it on eBay and give the proceeds to meals on Wheels America, she tells K II TV. That's when things got really interesting for 99 cents, And then a few minutes later. I want to take the screens. I was like, Wow, it's five bucks. The auction ended earlier this week and the winning bid $20,300 Toby King of Redmond had no idea that good she could do And now she wants everyone to have a crow shade. Bernie. She's not planning on making more. But she is putting the pattern for the doll in her Etsy store named Toby Time. Crow Shea. I'm so so just so happy that everybody is making their own little Bernie and planes and Bernie's out there and just it just makes everybody so happy. Brian Calvert Homo news. Come on his time 1

Thank you so much for showing up for tuning in for always sharing how you're doing what you're feeling this really help us to bring the gas that can inspire motivate in really offer you some help with your challenges. So let's get right to today's topic we're gonna take storytelling and the author to a whole new level. It's the legacy maker. So i have a legacy maker today. Who's helping to transform the publishing industry joining me. On the show with andrea albright l. andrea is a serial entrepreneur as she is publishing mogul. She's published twenty six bucks and she's helping other authors to find the same success. And i could say so much about andrea talk about her latest book which is visionary boss so andrea. I think it's time that you share your advice in your journey with us. Welcome welcome to women worldwide. Thank you so much gear drive for having me. I am thrilled to be here. I love what you're up to supporting women worldwide and. Thank you for having me. Your welcome will twenty. Six books is huge. So i've written a few books. I i know what. That's like an absolutely amazed and what you're doing. So maybe you can start off just by sharing a little bit about this past two serial entrepreneur punching absolutely while i started in corporate america right out of college and i had a nervous breakdown. I learned early on that making money without her business and meaning didn't fulfill me and went and started my own company. I became an entrepreneur. When i was twenty six years so i've been on this journey for a while. I decided i wanted to help people get and get fit and my mentor at the time said well you have to write a book in order to stand out as an authority and so i wrote my first book in two thousand six and i remember being so terrified that no one was going to read it. Only my mom was going to buy it. I could sound. But i said you know if i can help one percent then. It's worth it. So i released that book and it went on to create thousands of success stories around the world. People would write to me and say your book saved my life. I was going to kill myself. And then i found your book and now i love my body i love myself i love my else and so it was messages like that. That kept me going and everyone said fitness and weight loss is way too competitive. You can never compete. But this thing called. Youtube came along and i was like what's you so i was really part of that. Social media revolution back in two thousand six two thousand seven and because of social media. I was able to reach my audience. I learned internet marketing. And every time. I would publish a book for myself. I would use marketing to bring people to my website. I eventually got on the front page of google. Very important key. Words like weight loss. Secret and flash forward. I wrote over twenty five bucks and health and fitness. I reached over ten million views on youtube. One hundred thousand. Facebook fans and women's health and fitness magazine. Put me on the cover of their twenty first anniversary edition. So that's really what defined my authority as a thought leader in women's health. And i saw that. So many authors are struggling to get their audience to pay attention to their book. And that's when i became publisher i started beverly hills publishing so that i can help other authors to publish books in ninety days and reach their audience through marketing in ninety days. Tat's unbelievable so from somebody who works with traditional publishers. Absolutely unheard of now. Isn't it interesting that you had some push-back around you of the competition and you know you even yourself said a. maybe only. My mom will read my book now. Is that something. Do office come to you. And do you find those same topic. So i guess yours or challenges that they think they're going to face as absolutely being visionary is both a blessing and a curse because we can see the future. We can see a possibility for humanity. I believe that anyone who wants to write a book is truly coming from that place of being visionary and seeing something that they want to share with the world but then the curse is that we doubt ourselves. Who am i to bryn this vision on the planet who am i to tell society and culture that we can do better and so it comes with that inferiority complex

Should investors 'let it go'
"Is the time for investors to let it go sure. So you know before the charts. It's really all about who you are in the market and what your timeframe as there have been plenty of where disney as gapped up like this today up thirteen percent. It's q one beat in two thousand nineteen was about twelve percent. Move on vaccine day november ninth. We know at jumped about twelve. But what we do know is after big jumps like that. It's pretty Sideways fallow on a week over week basis. But let's look at some charts. The first is the breakout. Conventional kind of thing everyone agrees is well recognized stock that moves above a well-defined range with a gap. And you can see it. There is the definition of a breakout. Now second chart look where the stock stopped. It stopped to the penny at the internal trendline in effect for the past year. And a half. I mean literally stopped on that line in fact it peaked. Essentially around eleven o'clock and it spent the rest of the day going sideways so it was aggressively rated but didn't really progress now to more charts. Where are we in relation to the hundred and fifty day moving average. You could use the two hundred and you could use the fifty but if you were to look at this chart disney is trading some thirty nine percent above its hundred and fifty day. Now take a look at the next chart. This is going back for the past ten plus years and you can see here again. The relationship of price with average price over one hundred and fifty days. So in the history of the stock going back to the nineteen seventies it is only traded farther above the hundred and fifty million one other time and in principle that gets the timeframes. Long-term this is hugely bullish tactically. I think you fade the move. You take profits all right. It's a carter says let it go. We'll see in a bit car options action. So you've got the fundamental story. You got the technical take from the chart master. How would you trade disney here. Brian kelly what do you say. So i with carter on this when i really like his take on this because if you think about it. This is a long term fundamental. Play here because not only are they going to have more movie streaming online. But we know about disney's that they have tremendous leverage in their platform right so they can go to the parks. The parks are going to reopen their cruise. Ships are going to reopen. They're going to be able to take what they do on disney plus and bring it to all of those places but that does take a bit of time. And you priced in this surprise here and so where it's trading now and remember. The stock was seventy eight and a half or so back in april march april so it has had a tremendous run this year. It is priced in an awful lot of good news and so for me. I think you get a better entry on this. It doesn't mean that. I don't like disney. In fact i think it's going to be one of the better ones coming out of the pandemic but i think you get a better entry. I would wait either for today's gap to be filled or for the low of today to serve as your support and then wait for that breakout so you like it long term. But do you think that there could be a pullback shorter-term james mcdonald. I think part of the betting here is that is that this is a premium product. That people will pay for it in fact they. They announce a price hike of a dollar in the united states. Twenty nine percent in europe and a bet on the management team a ceo. Bob shape may be new to the role. He's not new to disney and he's still got executive chairman. Bob iger around. I in terms of this execution which is a dramatic change in how the business the structure and how the business considers an executes content. Well bob eiger remembers the old days when you had a lot of customers and you had a big brand. You had a lot of action and there is a firm back then called. Aol that got everybody's attention stock ran up on potential and we saw where that happened and i love carter's technical analysis and always spot on with his fundamental outlook. But my grandma told me use common sense you know right now. The pe ratio is at eighty seven There's more forward-looking upside for this netflix. Which masters this game. Netflix's out similar subscriber growth from the boom from cohen. And look what happened. That sub growth then cooled off for the next three months in this covert level. Growth rate is not usable for the long term with disney. Netflix shows that more content equals more subscribers. And that's a good thing but we're shifting attention away from the other weaknesses with this company. This is not a tech company The media only makes up forty percent of the total revenue parkson products. Make up twenty three percent and they're gonna take massive hits here with the new lockdowns over the holiday seasons. Let's use commonsense international segments twenty three and a half percent of the total revenue. It's going to be suffering. There's no fed overseas to save them. So let's use our common sense and stay away from disney here up one hundred seventy five bucks. No way no way no way. We can't worry about the long term. We've got to survive this recession. That's coming not
Fees: The Downside To Swap Protocols
"The downside of liquid pools reading the old twitter. As i do every day and most recently one thing i've noticed is a lot of people seem to be complaining about swap protocols specifically about the fees so quick pros and cons about swap walls go everyone stands protocol swaps on basically the basic benefit is non-custodial. Right you swap it straight in the wallet. He goes to the swamp protocol on chain get swapped forever token you twelve into from wherever and it comes back into your wallet seconds. Whoever fast transaction is right most of these whoppers goals. They're on every chain going. There on thrown theorem throwing the biden smart shane. They're on everything. So the concept is well established automated market making as they call it. So that's great. Everyone knows what protocols during his old good hood. But what are the cons. Well fees seems to be the majorcan. So i picked to add these protocols that i've used i'm going to contrast them and look at the through the lens of fees so the first one among those favorite one is defy box. This is based on the us network abc. Because you know no is based on the network because of anything i like it. Because it's based on the austin that means that transactions are free and they confirm three seconds so from a trading point of view. That's gold dust. You know you don't have to wait around. There's an opportunity trade. You're in your out done right so you can look on the d five bucks. Websites is defy box. I oh and he go to swap and immediately it shows what you wanna swap and would you wanna swap into select those two things and to the amount old normal goodstuff nice says right fees zero point three percent swazi. Okay so got the you're gonna get clipped point three percent of whatever amount swapping that's going to go to fees to the to the protocol right now. Where the hell does that go. Well if you go on the same screen you click on the quantity and then you create liquidity. There is a little asterisk. An fees by becoming a market maker. And then the little. There's a little i in a circle icon which you wave over. It says becoming a market maker to provide liquidity doesn't require any additional fees but you can n zero point two percent fees paid by traders so that we go immediately with god discrepancy. We've got on the front end. The retail traders who has swapping the assets they're being charged or clipped point three percent and equity providers Earning point two percent. Well this is a deficit of zero point one percent. I have to assume and please let me know if you know this for sure. Even defy box. You're listening to this. Let me know what the what the fuck is it because it. I can only assume that that point one percent fee is going to the develops dust. I just have to assume that unless anyone tells me otherwise so it's basically fi books and you can see how they would to themselves that they're like an exchange and their develop is getting point. One percent of the fees boat. The develop has an having to provide any equity 'cause they're giving all the people incentive the point two percent fee to provide the liquidity for them. So it's kind of win win win.
How The Flying Fahans Got Started In Aviation
"I'm joined today by very famous. Couple job the margaret and joe fan who were delta pilots flew together numerous times and they retired together. It is so great having you with us today. Thanks for taking the time. It's nice to be here. thanks for talking with us. You're welcome so so. Who is flying the longest. I'm older by about four years. Okay so we'll start with you joe. How did you get your start in aviation you know. I wanted to be a pilot since i was a little kid. And when i got to be about fifteen. I started getting my parents to drop me off the local airport and eventually got a job as a line boy there and spend all my money taking lessons. There's just that simple so back. Then how much did it cost to take lessons. Well kids today are going to hate me for saying this. I flew a brand new one. Seventy two with an instructor for twenty dollars. An hour into european itself was fourteen dollars an hour. The instructor was six and it was a struggle back. Then because i'm making that dollars seventy five bucks an hour whatever. The minimum wage was then. So you know it's it's increased by about tenfold. Since since i did that but there people people paying over two hundred dollars an hour for a general aviation airplane with instructor. My private pilot licence cost me all eight hundred dollars. Well that's were great. How about you. How did you get your story. Well my mom and dad are from germany and we used to fly to germany every summer to visit family so for me the best part of the vacation was actually the flight and i just know i had to do something with airplanes later on in life and When i was sixteen. I was dating a boy that my dad wasn't particularly fond of so he thought my dad had flown gliders in world war two at the end of the war so he thought if margaret had a hobby maybe she spend less time with boyfriend and more time with the hobbies so he took me to the glider airport in the area and He got reso- load. And i started flying taking lessons and it just took off from there that is very cool so interesting parroting those is really good parent yes. He has a better story than i do off. So so joe. Did you start earning money right away after you got your license. Well private commercial instrument. And then i became a flight instructor and i was teaching for a couple years. I guess that's my first paid flying job and college was in there too taught in college and then got your later. I got hired by a little commuter airline in southern new jersey southern jersey airways honors for five years or so and seven for almost a year and went on with the airlines so that was kind of a straight shot so when you interviewed with delta did they have the shrink with a rocking chair. Well actually we're. We didn't come that way. We were a northwest pilots. Oh okay all right actually. Yeah we required. Margaret margaret was actually a pilot for republic airlines and i was a pilot for northwest so we merged as choir twice. She was margaret. Tell us about how you got Started getting paid to fly well. Once i started taking lessons at all i wanted to do was be at the airport. Talk to people at the airport. You learn all. I could so i started working out there. I worked at the office. And then i worked on the line to Being that it was a glider airport. There were several line called them lined boys but there were lying girls. You had to hook up the toro to the glider and then run the wing as the toll. Plane drag glider off. So i did whatever. I could to You help pay for lessons and back then you got to know the instructors. So you traded washing their cars for instruction you've got a cheaper rate on the glider rental Got a little discount of the toe. So as soon as i could i started flying and earning money to pay for lessons. Surely you a glider rating before you got a power rating. Yes you could back then solo. I think it was fifteen. Get your license at sixteen in glider. So you could get your commercial glider license that eighteen and you could give rides and you know what we call the introductory lessons. I got my flight instructor. Rating is flight instructed in gliders before i got my private airplane well that is very cool and never flown gliders but i understand that that's the best way to learn to fly. Start with gliders. I think so i think so. You're tells me that all the time
Michael J. Fox retiring again because of health

Don't have enough road to get eighty eight rows row but in nineteen ninety-one age of twenty. Nine fox was diagnosed with early onset. Parkinson's disease in two thousand. He founded the michael j. fox foundation for parkinson's research organization has raised a billion dollars to find a cure through it. All fox found a way to maintain his signature optimism until twenty eighteen when his sunny disposition took a significant hit fox underwent spinal surgery. Then a serious fall that forced him to confront his mortality. He writes about that year in his new book. No time like the future which is out this week and michael. J. fox joins me now. Welcome here tell me about that fall. Well i when dealing with my thirty thirty. Th year outlook parkinson's so that that kind of had handle on been ahead. Spinal tumor had surgery on that and it took me a while to learn how to walk again. I'd barely learn what getting when i of course declared independence until they could walk on my own. And i belong in so i got up. Walk into the kitchen swift flooring shattered my arm and all the dean indignities that was for some reason cutting blow so you as you say you were dealing not only with parkinson's for many years you've just gone through this incredibly dangerous surgery to remove a tumor from your spine. Just spend a moment there for a minute. How serious was that spinal diagnosis in was pretty seriously lifting for a while for a few years. But he's been in a benign and static wasn't doing anything from the dodgers. Just watch that check on every now and then so when the last time that checked on it had grown quite considerably was actually on spinal cord itself which then made Something that Attach because they can't in any way touch her to remove some spinal for when you touch it. But johns hopkins adopted feodor. When's your with me. Discuss the risk. The risk of not doing it where i would be paralyzed by now by as we speak from when win puts me that way i realized yeah and then there you are lying on the floor in your apartment in new york city. Your arm shattered. You'd gone through all of these challenges and gotten through them for the most part right. So where do you think the darkness came from. Why did you so desperately lose that optimism that to become known for some reason it was almost instantaneous last lemon unknown lemonade Unbelie it was angry myself for taking for granted Detention in the in the care they put into my health in my in my life and you know what family Asked me to be careful. When i said don't be careful. Careful careful Carelessly walking too fast and it was two kind of full of pride of of at my might chievements to understand the risks of taking an inadequate To at risk in all the time engine Physical therapists who put me at risk and anti alexander myself I agree as said about how they push china's within a bum. Catchy raised the land myself. They get passes the nothing it was like. I started thinking with the parkinson's community i Optimism tennessee. And i kind of said it'll be okay and and really there are people that had a misery index lot higher needle. Lend me with a broken arm. Bagging car is these are people who've lost lives homes country family children woodward by bam. Who am i to tell them to be have to miss it online on the slowly a rag or i can see why you would be angry but what about scared was scared to well. Isn't that what happened. Was that came out of that. Here that come off the floor and heavily armed fiction which function in a. I would let examined all these things. Fear aging gratitude. Just all of these things came through my mind. And as i made notes on them out for no reason Lebron you're going through something with take contemporaries in alabama a. He's not that. I said let's deceased together into the story of what happened and how i lost and regained my commitment. How might new. Optimism is kind of a little more informed with a little more realistic eating. Be realistic at the same time. You reminded us for those who need to be reminded how precious thing it is to walk. And i found the way that you described your relationship with wheelchairs to be very powerful at one point in the book said that. Unless you know the person who's pushing you can be a very isolating experience in fact you compared yourself to a piece of luggage and then you went on to say that if we could ever just look at each other in the eye we would recognize our shared humanity. And i just want to thank you for that. Because actually i had never thought of that before and those are probably things. I imagine that you for granted at some stage in your life as as being and i talked about that will move momentum me my life and and how i was always moving in in my job is an actor. Energy do stunts or having physical representations of what was happening or as an athlete another good one persona in so. When i look at things i will shares do thing one to have been nail biting person. My whole life into be can't walk in the other thing about being in the chair. Is that for me personally. I'm i'm i'm someone who is easily recognizable. Everybody knows intense speed familiar with and even if they don't know me as a privilege of what i do but when you're unsure you just a piece of luggage and pushing Order hotel something. He's escaped me from point being open to get five bucks in so you just stay in you push Facing the wall can't get into the verbally again. Like you will not have Beings open as they are. They might as well. Apple's own smoke last bubbles. Is that people to be going on with him. Well let's talk about your acting career. The thing that made it so that people recognize you on the street. You've gotten roles in recent years. The didn't hide the fact that you had parkinson's symptoms but actually incorporated that into the role such as louis canning of courses. The lawyer on the tv drama. The good wife with listen to a scene there. I suffer from a condition turtle disconnect asia which is released a funny word for neurological disorder. And it makes me do this. And this i if you just look at me all of us to it so and i won't mind in the book you say that you're ready to accept the your acting career is over to an extent i i laugh in fact it's something surprisingly something to change but yeah the last couple times. I acted i actually. I haven't played warners again anyway. Resume lines difficulty for some reason. Always been some interesting. Even with. I look at her family. Ties scripted from five minutes Show and i just said they photographic memories Position where i didn't know struggling with the lines Lear capital in time in hollywood going off assessing what. What is the deal. But unlike him in that movie. Who's parading himself really angry when i found myself in that position. I said i'll gable. This isn't working so maybe we'll find some other way to do it or not. Do you also say you may be done with gulf another thing that you've loved. How is it letting these things go or acknowledging that it might be time soon to let them go. Insights about acceptance and gratitude and acceptance. Part of it is what is accepted into circuit. That is what liz i can deal with that. An investing came endeavor to change it. But if you don't accept the and be more blog that be cranny of your life Adjusted so. I accepted the fact that i assume golf club too hard. I fall down in a like boohoo. I'm falling nanosecond. Only now therefore i don't put myself in that position again fall down on but maybe one day i'll be treated in a way or find some way to get so. I don't fall down in the gulf again. I'll be grateful for it. It's just a matter. Is that come compartmentalizing really. It's taking inventory seeing where that fits in your life and the losses that have had are more than compensated for by my family my friends by the role habit in the parsis communities it change to relationships with people on the street to how much i enjoy reading how much film much writing is less to joe you live. I'm speaking with michael j. fox whose new book is called no time like the future and optimists considers mortality and michael. Similar listening to this may have just been diagnosed with parkinson's and that could be very frightening for them as you. Well know in fact you become an ambassador of sorts. For for folks with parkinson's what's your message to people who've just recently been diagnosed as i was talking to manually. Today's few was just diagnosed in like me was diagnosed. Daytona nine Items that was twenty nine years ago. So i did. I said for you. Being diagnosed a twenty nine means for sure no doubt bank on it. Better write it down. It will be here in your lifetime. And how much credit can the fox foundation take for that. I will take not moods. It'd be happy happened. We we are the largest funded research in private sector but never a mission. Our mission is we have a thing. When we first started we about how to structure foundation dissimilar brought up endowments down like e bala money said on this again and said we won't be doing that. Come to go out so we operated on then in the set aside purely motive. Where would you do it. It's your model that each is trying to get this work done as quickly as we can for people in. It's been so yeah. Optimism is is a driver knows every night. You because because there's no sense doing something again at least argue for michael j. fox thank you so much. Be well you to
