"Six eight six seven six nine around that round at a height so rudy gobert in this job. Squad need to take advantage of finding ruediger baron to paint because as soon as they find that rhythm in they a star to Send a message that they're gonna be throw the ball in the paint. And then if the clippers try to throw You know zubac in there or Even demarcus cousins. You gotta try to move the ball. Assad that permed and find your Gaza for because his team loves to shoot threes end. You know the the three ball can be all fun When it goes in everything but you know the ball doesn't go in and you lose that momentum and you lose that no confidence it can note. The game can get ugly real quick and that's why the pain is so important because as soon as you establish some type of rhythm some of strategy some type of you know Way to stop at scoring in the paint then everything else becomes a lot. More easier than players are more conscious about the ball. Going into the paint players are more causes of when players are rolling to the pain to try to help off that on when near guy When you're the helper help the helper. In that instance you know you can still find players. Outside perimeter mood the ball. So was that bob movements going to be key and You those trying to score dot ball. Paint is going to be a key also for this Jazz squad but overall my takeaways for game five was that Po george was Indiana politics for this game. I mean he was Big in this effort you know. Not only him. More senior at a reggie jackson were is making very difficult in no shots. Wouldn't say her going to go in. And you just hold your breath and you know they went in. And i don't think it was a fluke by any instance. I think that this team came out knowing that they were going to be able to sell what they were. Some people think they're most value player but a lot of people didn't realize george was still on. This team is still being paid. So with that Kudos paul george turning into Indiana george this dominating with thirty seven points sixteen rebounds and five assists in the one nineteen One eleven Clippers win over utah jazz. "I think it's all gonna come together for him. Yeah, I think that's the those. The key points for me is he's smart. He's coachable. I mean, hell, he gets it. He knows. I mean, he does understand the game and he wants to. He wants to get better, and he wants to be able to help this team get to where they want to. Get too. I guess it wouldn't be a year ending show without talking about Steph. We spent so much time talking about him throughout the course of the year. I was like you, Uh, we had like, Steph appreciation after every game, and I was like, I'm kind of tired of this. To be honest with this guy's incredible Come. How many ways can I say? This guy's incredible like, Hey, I can't. I'm sorry. I've used up on all the words I can use up for this. For this guy, but I mean, he really He really was. I mean, it was amazing to watch him do the things that he could do and with him. I talked about dream on earlier, Steve how his whole career Is pretty amazing, but it's really a testament to him The first couple years and league really getting his body right, like making sure his body could do with his mind could tell him to do and then he was able to go out there and do all the things he knew he could do. It was step. It's the you know, he didn't have to lose weight. Keep the weight down. It was like putting weight on being able to take hits. Dedication to the game. I think that's what really stands out to me was staff. You don't get better at this age by just kind of sitting around and just you know what? I'm good. I could just go out to do my thing. He continues to work at it like he gets paid an enormous amount of money, but that's not it for him. It's about I wanna be great and his desire to get out there and work when no one else is watching. That makes him better when we all see him. I think that's the most impressive thing with him. I agree, and I just the way he takes care of himself in every capacity. You know, mentally physically, spiritually. Just he just He just isn't such a good place. In his life, and he puts all the work in and it is amazing to see him continuing in to get better than I think he was really hungry this year after missing all of last season with the injury Hey, couldn't wait to get back out there and just had a spectacular season. But you know, guys these days are seem to be playing deeper into their careers longer. You know, staying staying really sharp. For longer. Better training, You know more access, Tolo. Better ideas better, Um, you know better everything and it's a guys like LeBron and staff. They commit their whole life to that. You know, they extend their They're they're They're career years. You know they're sweet spots for by several extra years. It's really something to watch. You know, they say your twenties is a lot about your talent. Your thirties is a lot about you and your work ethic and And, you know, can you keep it going? You know, I saw Bob Meyers said that he felt like you guys need veterans and that you'd like to add veterans and free agency. Where do you feel like this roster Needs of veteran or to Steve? And are you the kind of guy that are your was part of the plan in the off season? Do you? Do you pick up the phone and be like Hey, you know, you know, after talking with Bob, Hey, we want this guy, and now you're gonna go recruit him. I mean, our two head coaches get involved in recruiting veteran free agents. Oh, yeah, For sure, Sure, I'll do that. You know, it's uh, It's something we're planning on this summer, and we've done it in the past. But I think getting playback this year and everybody watching Staff and dream on this past season. I just think we're more likely to be in the game on a few guys, And so we will. We'll all be on the phone once we know what's what. And we wait. Target a couple of guys and at this point we don't know who those guys were gonna be. But we do have Ah, really good. Sense of of what we need, You know, just based on this this past season and how our team played as a group. You know, we talked and I said we used to do like kind of stuff. Appreciation. I was, like, done what? That after a while because I couldn't talk. What do you mean by saying the same thing over and over, But I would like you to say a couple words Aundre Mom because you mentioned Dreamin on how key he was. And I just think I don't know if I've ever seen a guy impact the game that averages like seven points a game. The way The way he does. I mean, it is. It's truly amazing to watch him out there and his mind working and running the offense and running the defense and helping guys out getting him in the right spot. I mean, I g. You know, I've seen it all the time. He points guys in the right direction. And then all of a sudden the play opens up. He knows exactly where they should be. And what the defense Is doing and he's just a guy that numbers do not jump out of you, except for the assist numbers for power forward slash slash center, But just a few words on him because I think he he is just an amazing player. He's such a unique player in what he brings. To the game, and not many people can Actually dominated game without scoring double digits. Well, he is, um he's unique. You know, He's the only guy that I've ever seen who could dominate the game without scoring it all with Dennis Rodman on and Dream on is Similar to Dennis you defensively in that he can control A game by just how willing everybody and guarding all five spots on the floor. But dreamers a lot better than Robin was offensively just because he handles the ball so much needs to get past her and kind of runs the team for for us, and you know, his pick and roll game was staff is so unique and those guys just have such a good feel for each other. The way they operate the way they'll invert the screen. Give give dream on the ball enough Stef screen and then you know, turn that into kind of a quick give and go. And it Z really beautiful to watch. But I was I was just really happy for dream on. You know, last season was tough for him to. He was used to call him along to Bible, you know, with It was playing step both being out. I mean, the poor guy was out there by himself half the time and he was so frustrating for him. So I was really happy for dream and he just had a fantastic year and re established himself as a great player in this league, And then the exciting thing is he really wants To, uh, to win a title. He really wants T back in the you know, back in the in the limelight as a group of the team and he's so motivated this summer and And I think you know we're all from that We didn't make the playoffs. But, you know, we have to look on the bright side, Which is that our teams and you know, really good frame of mind. We're going to be, you know, knock on wood gonna be healthy going into camp and and we re established that that connection between dream on and step, which is Really The, uh you know what the rest of our team revolves around so Very exciting. Let me ask it quick because you mentioned Rodman and you played with him. So you would know. I've always contended that he was a much better player. All around player than he ever showed because he loved the rebounding and he was getting all the notoriety in the pub for the rebounding. So he didn't want that any any other numbers to take away from his rebounding numbers Because I thought he had more to his game. Offensively, he wasn't gonna be a 20 point score, but I think you could've scored 10. And he was he was a pretty good passer like you watch him out there. He made some nice passes, but it was almost like every time he touched the boy just goes. Get it out of my hands. I just all I wanna do is go chase the basketball. That's what I do. That's all I'm going to do, And I always thought you know what? Instead of averaging 18 the half rebounds, he pregnant average 16 rebounds. Head points and five assists. If you really wanted to I think so. I think he could have. I think he took great pride and not scoring. You know, he literally went when it was really bizarre mean when we were in Chicago. Together, he would have games where You get an offensive board and literally have a lay up and he would just throw it back out. I think, hoping that we would miss another shot so that he could get another after. Maybe he thought he was playing half court. Stephen. He had to clear it. You know, you gotta clear out of the cage. Yeah,.

"The Goodyear Hotline. I mimicked golden alongside Game night so and you were just listening to We had a big game in the NBA playoffs, the Mavericks defeated the Clippers won 13 toe one old three and gave my love to give this in depth breakdown. But all I can think of is it was Luca right? 31 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds. Hey, was the star that everybody knows he is. Yeah, he was absolutely the story took over the game, had a couple of big shots in and when you look at what the Mavericks do, Yeah, if he's going to come out and form like that the Mavericks have a shot to pull off the upset If you're the Clippers I'm curious about this because we're going to be talking about the box. We're gonna be talking about a bunch of the NBA playoff games. But the Clippers based on what happened to them last year, blowing a 31 lead in the Western Conference semifinals. You know, Paul George has just this this playoff wait that just kind of falls down upon him during the postseason. And you wonder at what point the Clippers and I know it's just one game. But you you're at home. You lose by 10 to the Mavericks. I mean, there are some things that they have to fight through it overcome more than just Luca Dockage. And the Dallas Mavericks. No doubt it's tough, especially losing that first home game like it ZWAH game. Ultimately, you gotta win forward to advance. So it's not the end of the world. But that home court advantage now shifts to Dallas, and it's more. It's not even about the home court advantage. Is Maura about the mental side of it, right? Because if you're the Clippers you go. I know what happened last year. We can't have that happen again. Now you're down a one Does you know this doubt? Start to creep in. Are you like all here we go now. Are you trying to play outside of yourself? And I think there's something that you had to worry about. Especially with a guy like Paul George decent game tonight. 23 points, five assists, six rebounds. He was eight for 18 from the floor and 40 minutes on Lee to evade from behind the arc. And I feel like the shooting from, you know, from the three point land kind of hurt. The Clippers is well tonight. Yeah, With Paul George get a big offensive foul as well as they were trying to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter. Just kind of ran through a defender in a fast break. And you know that that you know, ends up being a turnover kind of causing. It ends up being an empty possession when if you're a Clippers fan, or You hear their thinking, OK, we could get a couple of points in transition here. He ends up running over a defender. So it's just those little moments that just kind of add up for Paul George. And when you look up and down, I mean, they need quiet. Leonard Paul George, they played fine. They're OK. But as deepest the Western conference is that you need those guys. And look, they're not gonna play spectacular every single night. But you need them to be good to great rather than just Yeah, that maybe they didn't find there was okay. Those two need to really carry the load because otherwise you're just going to be. There are too many good teams in the Western Conference Me the Lakers. I understand that they had, you know, injury issues. That's why they fell all the way to seven. But if the Lakers or seven that tells you how deep this Western conference is this year, No, there's no doubt about that. He's game night. So I'm in the golden. This is prime time on ESPN radio following the big win over the Clippers, Luca, Don't you spend some time with George Sedano? The Mavericks defeated the Clippers in Game one here in Los Angeles. 1 13 to 1. Oh, three, and we're.

"Mean the seasons along. I think the defense has been so bad that maybe there's a teeny little asterix on that. But i think you're right. It's it's not an easy task dr quinn. You've been covering the celtics for a long time. What do you think when you see tatum. Go out and just take over the game because it's not just that he scored sixty points Efficiently he did very well. I mean he did with zero turnovers it was. I mean the most common thing. I've been hearing people talking about. Snuck up on them. And it's not me tubes just watching. The game amazed that i was still watching it and then suddenly. Tatum had fifty points in history. Happened right before our eyes and for whatever it's worth that the rest dropped and an opportunity so he could gone for sixty one. Actually wonder if larry bird would be happy. Larry bird is one of those hyper-competitive dudes that i think secretly would have hated. If tatum has pulled that record up you secretly hits that stuff they just they just put on the job. Nobody wants to broken for real. But you know they'll accept it if they like you be so curious. What a conversation between jason tatum. Malaria burke would be about That's a desert offseason podcasts. For sure. Alex thoughts on tatum. Great i just wrote justice Yeah no i mean listen. Sixty points efficient shooting. No turnovers eight rebounds five assists. i mean. that's about as complete a game. You're going to get from any individual player against a genuinely tough. Well coached team. In the spurs the spurs have. They've been as as you said q. They have not been spurs of old. Tim duncan is not walking storing Paraphrase but but you know. There's still tough to marta. Rosen has given celtics problems for years now They have a bunch of kind of young bouncy athletic ways. Dudes like kelton johnson Yaacob parallel is a hilarious grinder display to like beat people up and get rebounds which was really as birds are by no means a slab of team so for tatum to pull that out was really impressive and speaks highly of his future development in his place as the cornerstone. For everything. celtics are doing. And you know we've been saying all year but it does bear repeating. The celtics are going to go as far this year as jason. Tatum is able to take that. Bats story the season One thing that i thought was interesting that i can serve in that games that while it was jason tatum getting just about every buck at that. No one in the Eastern Conference is complaining about the plans for them because they all know none of them deserved to be in the playoffs. Anyway search happy to be there. The Mavericks are like the team most impacted. So that's that's it. I never did my master lock in the night. So my master lock is going to Brad Wanamaker Brad want to make a shot 1/4 11:00 from the field five assists is a bad but one for 11 shooting for points eleven shots 4.042 from 3 did have a couple of turnovers impact. Mine is he was a -26 - 26 and plus minus while shooting one for 11. I think the Lakers put the master lock on Brad Wanamaker. Yeah poor Brad Wanamaker. I mean I almost want to like I just feel bad for the guy that that is a truly horrible performance. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, that's that is certainly awful. Yeah, and and I don't think that that want to maker is oh, somebody said want to make sure should have been the next ban up want to make her was the best player for the Lakers. I mean mine is 56 and an eight point loss. That's pretty good. Yeah, that's that's crazy. That is that absolutely is Edward Barrel from Facebook page said, I don't like the player rotation. It'll be better if they put Gasol with Harold to cut down his workload on the boards Vogel should use a big guy more often in the rotation just saying so Montrezl Harrell II rough game in a row after he really really picked things up with LeBron and AD went down we've seen some really great performances tonight is two games in a row. We're just just kind of rough for try 6.5 Boardwalk. No offensive rebounds that's two games in a row of no offensive rebounds for one of the best offensive rebounders in the NBA 24 minutes for Trey's that's not the production. We're we're used to seeing out of him and we're seeing some rebounding problems pop up while he's out there on the floor. Do you think the solution could be to play Marcus all and raised in the same line up knowing that you lose some foot speed? I do not understand Frank vogel's unwillingness to pair Marcus on maybe Marcus all's injury is why he didn't play tonight..

Lakers Defeat Cavs As Buyout Market Heats Up
"Got a win and it was a good win. It was just a solid win where they got it done with defense 102 eighty-six. They get the double years old friend Larry Nance Jr. For the Cavs. My goodness, 17 points ten boards five assists nice outing for him. Great to see great dude, Larry Nance Jr. But it was the Lakers who really stole the show in the second half Murphy Flores coming up big for the Lakers 13 points. Don't normally see him in double-digits five boards plus a block three of seven from Deep kuzma only four points, but eight boards and seven assists again finding ways to log in even when he's not scoring so you gotta like that they're from him but 17 points from Dennis Schroder probably the story of the game four steals seven. It says five boards for of 10 shooting out for of Sorry 7 or 12 shooting my screen skipped a bit. They're seven of twelve shooting one of two from the three-point line two of two from the free throw line for steals seven turn off, but he had the ball in his hands pretty much the entire game whenever he was on the floor. He had the ball. So I guess we'll forgive him from that. But is he going to get paid? We need to talk a little bit about that cuz I'm getting a bit nervous about the job situation. And then of course Montrezl Harrell, ho-hum. Just doing Montrezl Harrell. Thanks 24 and 10. Come on mantras ten or fifteen shooting. Imagine. If you shot better than fifty percent from 3/4 of a table. I'm sorry from the free throw line for of eight from the free throw line tonight. That's not going to get it done. But seven offensive boards 10 boards and seven of them are on the offensive end just more amazing stuff from my name is Harold gotta love that.

"He just sent her we should have saw it. He's he's more don't jump out a window to see than he is Chris Bosh. She like he can play you can switch that maybe but the guards the wings those would be the ones that haunt me end of the day. Yeah totally agree off. The other guy here that I really wanted to take some time to talk about is Scottie Barnes. And Scotty was interesting over the weekend. They kind of blew out Colorado late in that game to get to the sweet sixteen and then against unc-greensboro. There's a weird game like it felt like they were in full control the whole time while being like two and half to three possessions ahead of them on the scoreline. The whole game Scottie Barnes has taken four shots so far in the NCAA tournament as well to that has it really decided to go for it on offense yet. He's got ten points. He also was really good against Colorado. I thought like six points, but he had five assists. He had three steals. He was great defensively only played twenty two minutes and only wage like had one foul. So like it's not like he was in foul trouble the whole game or anything, but I thought the minutes that he played were really strong like the the line-ups that they were running out with just Him and Raekwon gray like those lineups dog. Monsters it is so hard to deal with those small ball Florida state line-ups that are bigger and longer than you are almost regardless of the time with just those two but also wage war in the five are essentially the point guards who bring the ball up the court with Raekwon gray and Scottie Barnes, like it's a total inversion of how they run things are how most teams run things. Yeah. It doesn't make a ton of sense on page and Raekwon gray is coming off ball screens. And then you have Scottie Barnes kind of playing point guard and can switch one through five defensively. He can rotate he's super versatile defensively covering ground and switching back to me by far his best skill. The offense scares me. I know it's only been four shots and he tried to get the ball more early into the post with balls that had 13 points that first game hundred Seventeen and seven. It's more the the ball skills and the perimeter when he's Dumbledore trapped get a bad turnover on advance past against unc-greensboro had a turnover late when he turned his back. Can and try to play point guard and Isaiah Miller from unc-greensboro is an also a monster albeit a smaller monster, especially defensively if he does that but they lost possession. They're really still like him back in in the dumps pot and making plays from the mid-post That Elbow if they do some big debate ball screen stuff off there. He's great. It's just the him trying to be a point guard. It's not always him being home theatre cuz I bring the ball up in as soon as he crosses half-court hits away and Dives. So it's like it's not even really point guard type stuff, but I just don't love it when he has the freedom to kind of try to create a play-off. I like him more as like a second option guy, maybe coming off a screen attacking versus shifting defense rather than like, we're going to give him the ball and have him run the offense. Yeah off Scotty is to me a really high level role player and that's like people are going to take that the wrong way. I hope they don't like I think Scotty Barnes can be like a Top fifty player. NBA is a role player, but I think that's what he is. Like I don't I don't see enough creation skill for having said that like there were some flashes against Colorado even though he's taken four shots and 45 minutes or whatever and rented a tournament..
