"Gets mad at, you know, these coaches up in the leaving. You know, nobody got mad at Lincoln Riley for bouncing on the USC. He did it as his decision. People respected it. So you know what? I'm going to respect Caitlin Williams decision or anyone else. It's free agency. That's essentially what it's become. Real quick. It was on this day in 2007 that Alabama introduced their new football head coach Nick Sabin and since then, all Saban has done is coach four Heisman Trophy winners with 8 SEC championships and win 6 national championship. So what is your one? One thought on 15 years of Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa. He's built a dynasty and as Bill Parcells said if I'm gonna be the chef, let me go ahead and get the groceries and he shown that that process works in Alabama. I was on a hosting a show called the round table at W JX in Birmingham with Lance Taylor when they hired Nick Saban. And I said he will be here maybe four years to deliver you a couple national championships and he'll jump 'cause that was his reputation. Michigan state to LSU LSU to Miami. Miami to Alabama. I could not have been more incorrect. I mean, I'm talking 183 wins later, most in college football. 6 natty's the most in college football, 106 weeks ranked as the AP number one team, the most in college football, and 39 first round picks. Most in college football, so much of those four years. I'm an idiot. Tara, you're the greatest. With TD, I'm Ian fitzsimmons coming up next three quarterbacks that might be on the move, the National Football League. Yo is Jay Williams. Coming up Wednesday, then that's get Kyrie Irving for the first time this season. We'll tell you why

"Why now? I think it was two reasons that loss to Stanford that you referenced featured a lot of the same issues that had propped up the last three or four years under clay health and poor red zone execution penalties, mistakes. At bad time, just a messy style of play. So that's one reason also, you look at the schedule upcoming USC as Washington State on the road, Oregon at home Colorado on the road. Those are three games at the Trojans should win. So in essence of Mike Bone felt, which he did. This thing wasn't going to get turned around. He almost didn't give clay health and that chance to get up. Some wins before the schedule turned tougher and you're the first school into the market to try to get a new head coach. But it could be a slippery slope in college athletics earlier on ESPN radio Orian Fitzsimmons when you start making decisions as an athletic director Based on the opinion of fans and alumni. You will be sitting with the fans and the alumni. When you start listening to fans and alums, you end up sitting with him Mark this down, Okay? It might happen next week. This oughta be good. It might happen in two weeks. I guarantee it will be by next season, garrote. Take Clay Helton will be added. To the coaching staff as a consultant or advisor at the University of Alabama. Why? Because of this? Yes, Yes, I am. Exercise. The dean let Nick Saban's healing hand be laid down upon the forehead of Clay Helton as it was done with Lane Kiffin. As it was done with Bush Jones as it was done with Michael Oxley as who has been done with so many others, please. When you show up on Nick Saban staff as one that has been scorned. Let the yellow your chorus sing. Here it comes play Helton to Alabama. I promise thee it shall be done. Jen. You flaked and worship upon the house of Saban. Clay Helton will be the next to be healed Right now. It's Bill O Brien as his offensive coordinator, Clay Helton. Come on down. You are the next to be healed in the house of Sabah. "On Freddie Coleman, Freddie Fitzsimmons on ESPN Radio. ESPN happens except Channel a Quick update on Monday night football involving the Raiders, the Ravens and the Raiders. Excuse me. At one point the Ravens 14 lead with that completely changed. Daniel Carson, a 34 yard field goal that makes a 14 10 game with two seconds left to play in the first have good game going on on Monday night Football. The Monday night football preview Thanks to progressive insurance will keep it on that game to its conclusion, right here on Friday, and Fitzsimmons before you get to your tweet to come on ESPN. And it in fits ESPN about the biggest surprise when it comes to week one NFL Sunday What one thing jumped out to you a couple of things we want you spitball here that you look down, You said. I know it's week one. You really can't determine who is going to be good. Who's going to be bad, But that really surprised. I saw that happen. Either. It is team or to that player. Two things. Pittsburgh at Buffalo. What surprised you. Pittsburgh winning. Yeah, I mean, right down the middle, plain and simple man. It was the third phase of the game. The blocked punt where two guys could have blocked it. But that's the the forgotten part of the game. And the Jim Tressel told me this back in 2000 and one when he was head coach at Ohio State, never forgotten it. He said. The punch is the most important play in football you block upon. It's a complete game changer. Okay, you come away with a clean punt is the biggest exchange of yardage in a game, right? You return a punt. It's a game changer, Momentum changer. And that is exactly what happened with Pittsburgh. Ben Roethlisberger, the slimmed down version of Ben are 18 of 32 for a Buck 88 a touchdown. No, I m T s. He was a bus driver yesterday. Najee Harris, you know, worked hard. I mean, it was a hard earned 45 yards on 16 carries, but it was they were led by a defense that shut down Josh Allen. And that vaunted off, you know, Buffalo bills offense. What? Alan was through the ball with 51. 1 time. My God, I'm not gonna be doing that. But special teams came in and played a special part in that game. I was Be out almost stunned that Pittsburgh was able to go into Buffalo Super Bowl contender and when Mind was how bad the titans were. Everybody tells how bad the package where against the saints, but to me, the Times were worse. I mean, they're supposed to be the physical team. The tough team the hours on the corners don't have that as part of their DNA. That's not part of the M O and Arizona on both sides of the football with the more physical team on the road going into Tennessee. I didn't think I was going to see that from the Arizona Cardinals that saying they didn't have a chance to win. I'm not putting that out there. Calamari made some magical place because that's what he's going to do. We're just a physicality. Of that football team that they hit Tennessee in the mouth, and I was surprised at Tennessee took a step back. That really surprised me from the hours of the Cardinals. Now, when you're playing at the vision, you better be physical. You got San Francisco, You got Seattle, their defense, and you also have the Los Angeles Rams now with their running game in their defense. But they can play like that NFC West matchups are going to be out of control. If you got all four teams plan to the level or close to it that we saw the cardinal through the Tennessee Titans yesterday. Yeah, and by the way, Mike Gravel will get that fixed. If I get it fixed right now, there's no doubt nothing for me. Is Green Bay Wedding to bed. Yeah, Yeah, I love my saints. But I did not see that coming. Yeah, I thought they would win, but I thought I'd come down to the wire. I didn't see James Winston, completing a third of his passes for touchdowns. No, I didn't see that defense is stalking and dominating that Green Bay offense the way they did. I mean, Aaron Rodgers looked like a rookie. Yeah, I was shocked and people going well, ho, he you know, I saw one person on Twitter now. You know, I don't I don't look at Twitter that often anymore. Hmm. Kind of checked it out on Sunday as we were getting ready for Miami in New England and Bumpers. Go Aaron Rodgers throwing this game. Shut up. I mean, how stupid is that Benedict? Dumbest thing I've ever not ever. But as one of the dumbest things I've seen got you click bait without I was almost through my phone, but I was very surprised as to how Green Bay forget failure to compete. It was a failure to show up. Against the Saints, Sanford Sims on Freddie Coleman. I'm afraid and Fitzsimmons on ESPN radio. The ESPN advances challenge 80 talk about our biggest surprises when it comes to week one of the National Football League like I mentioned people wing on Twitter, and they're talking about exactly you mentioned in terms with the Packers were able to have done to them by the New Orleans Saints G, Flores said. I'm with you guys the way the Packers played and the way James Winston played hit us on Twitter. White, Worthington said, even though it was not Sunday, Dallas, keeping it a close game and the chance meeting Tampa bad that come from behind the winning in the end, That was something that that game was on Thursday. So there's a good amount of disk between Thursday and Sunday, but a lot of people were surprised. Out of Dallas Cowboys not only were able to make that again being an 8.5 point favorite, but that they lead that game. And, of course, Tom Brady gets the ball back One time out left 1 29 left. We knew what he was going to do. A lot of people were surprised that the Cowboys not only able to make that again, but had a lead in that game against Tampa Bay on Thursday night. How good is that one going to be on Sunday? Cowboys? Actually, Chargers Yeah. Hello. Yeah, I feel like Cowboys home game. I saw a lot of people going back to that game. I'm glad glad that person brought it up. Dak won't survive on the ball 58 times a game? Well, he's not going to throw the ball 58 times a game when a Tampa starting corners went out with an injury there already thin back there on the back end, their strength is in the front seven. You're not going to run Zeke into a brick wall that was game planning. That wasn't you know? Just let's.

"Fitzsimmons on ESPN Radio. ESPN happens in China to keep those three great tweets coming. In biggest surprise of his first NFL Sunday was filling that blanket. Come on ESPN. And it infants. ESPN like my man, Let's Williams Jalen hurts the Eagles dropping the hammer The Falcons. I know it's the Falcons but still also J from BK says Super Bowl contender Titans getting punched in the mouth at home and routed by the way not trying to tell my great what to do. But after the first four sacks, you might want to give you a left tackle. Little bit of help against Chandler Jones. I'm not saying I'm just saying Bring it out there. Man. He there? Chandler Jones had everybody that spin cycle. He really did. Thank you didn't matter, right? I don't care what you did. It was over that you get five sacks in one game sometimes Don't get that in a career True one. Game. One word. Damn another word. Help! Please. A little chip, please. Oh, doesn't take much from that standpoint, Good Gosh, David during, said the biggest surprise of week. One was that he still gets excited every year just to watch the coast Go out there. So if themselves in week one can't wait to do it again next year. You were playing Seattle. They're not a bad football team. The most impressive thing about that, and I would love to see if ESPN stats and info could come up with this right. Find me a quarterback who has a better record. Going from West Coast. Two East coast in the early window then because that's not that's not easy to do. It's 10 A.m. Russell Wilson's time. That's true, and he finds a way every single year. To Are you going to those in the early window? Even on a short week or whatever. I'm good, right? I'm going to elevate the play of everybody around me, and we're and we're gonna come in. Here is an L. For you Take care of going to plan and going home. That I'm telling you, folks, your body clock. You think it's hard to go from West Coast to East Coast? Just traveling for four to go? To a doctor's appointment, or is an attorney or whatever. Try going out there against grown men who want to baptize you. Mhm. And somehow it seems like every single time are you gonna throw me in the early window again? Okay. No problem. 10 am I didn't think about what about four o'clock I'm going to fly home with the W It's amazing. He was no matter what, because his wife is Sierra, whether he wins or loses. He's still wins when it comes to Russell Wilson, four touchdown passes stuff and the best touchdown passes completed, was being married to Sierra. When it's all said and done, That's been the best pasties completed. It is entire life. Keep winging your tweets. Biggest surprises. First NFL Sunday was fill in the blank. Coleman, ESPN and infants. ESPN. It's time to find out exactly what happened over the weekend. What comes to the right and wrong about picks in the NFL? Freddie and Fitzsimmons tell you where they were right? I am the slightest man alive and where they were wrong. Not gonna change..

"Fitzsimmons on ESPN radio with your Rananim, Freddie Coleman. Here's something else what you just said. And I know the government family has me as public enemy number one. I really don't care at a certain point at all night. I got competition for you, right? Sure you do right here, Okay. If anybody could be that, if anybody's going to be the little kids table, the government family reunion is going to be joining Freddy. Let's put it that way, eating outside watching everybody eat on the inside. But if this goes the way that you believe Chris that it could go, meaning a Giants team that is not going to fix that offensive line is not going to fix itself. Daniel Jones is under siege and they don't make the playoffs when we start having a referendum. When it comes to the general manager of the New York Giants and Dave Gettleman. Well, it ain't gonna be long, Freddy. It's not mean if Daniel Jones doesn't prove that he's the guy that not only is he going to be out of the job, but the GM is going to be out of a job, too. I mean, and so I think that's the reality of where the Giants are at. When you have ownership, talking about how he believes That the team is better on paper than it has been in years past and they've invested significant resources this offseason, but he wants to see the results on the field. I mean, when your owner comes out and says something like that, when you heard that from John Marah throughout the course of the preseason That's pretty much putting the GM and everybody in the building on notice, like John Marry stopped just short of issuing a playoff mandate, But I mean, it kind of has that feel or that expectation that the Giants will be or should be one of those teams at the end of it that are going to be contending for a playoff spot. If Daniel Jones doesn't perform markedly better than we've seen in his first two years, then it's hard for me to envision the Giants being in that position at the end of the season. So that's why I say if Dale Jones doesn't get it done, then Not only is he going to be gone, but Dave Gettleman is going to be gone to the pleasure, Mr Chris Candy Man can't wait to even talk to you more and more by the NFL season. You had a rough We deal with my golden juice to get some rest and we'll talk to you soon. Okay. Thanks for having me on guys. He's a great father. Twitter, Chris Canty, 99 Chris Canty from cancer. Some guy comes to the door with a belt and goes and how many times did you call a stranger this week. thirty to forty one fifty and how many times. She's which aids upon somebody. Oh that's one hundred dollars. Yeah like there's nothing in it for their life is wasted as well. The funny thing is when you see like Them get into a argument with someone will say this video socks or something like that and someone will be like actually like it and they get into an argument they have to keep coming back to that page and they keep reloading it and giving it view so it's actually helping whoever like they hate. I have a subject and somebody needs to find big john. You can find big john for tickets. The song the song john. Now just find a dude named josh. Yeah the song big john. I had this idea that. I pitched to jimmy kimmel brother john jillian years ago because but now it's it's been long enough. It's been over ten years. He hasn't he hasn't come out with a song and trevor. Thank you should do. We have it all right. There was a lot of these songs from the fifties and sixties and they really the they bordered on homoerotic. Uh-huh listened to john. You'll you'll kind of you can feel how it took a little point. Yeah every morning and the mind you see him arrive. He stood six foot six. "This is austin lane. He's a former. Nfl tight end the host of action. Sports jacks on. Espn radio he was joining. He was joining freddie and fitzsimmons about whether tibo is going to be jacksonville simply for his leadership. The whole narrative that tim tibo coming to jacksonville. Be an urban meyer guy and helping that locker room presence. i think it's baloney. I'm not buying into that narrative because what what guys look for in terms of leadership and guys buy into his guys that have had except you know leaders guys that you can say this guy the baller. I gotta follow him and watch. How does now. I've talked to many times. Tim is a fantastic guy. But i think the whole narrative of you're going to bring him in because he's a great locker room guys all right. Great there's there's tons of great locker got. There's tons of great teammates just like any locker. Rooms made up of all types of people. So i'm not buying that austin lane also talked about. What exactly will tibo be doing assuming. He makes the team the whole narrative. That tim tebow coming to jackson i understand that he knows urban meyer. They have a great relationship. I guess you know. Urban meyer bought a house. experts week. Sent tibo so even if he makes the team. That's going to be great e hollywood. Tv show Urban meyer tim hero next door. It's gonna be fantastic. It's gonna do all the rating. But i do think this. This is urban meyer first year and then i saw and you know he's bringing his guys in. I understand all that. But what earn myers gotta realize. Real quick is that. You can't take anything if tim people is going to make. This team is because tim tebow has earned a spot. There are no you know there is no. I like this guy lot. Let's give him a spot. That doesn't work like that players not locking them. We'll see through that day one so two hundred two things are going to happen either. Tim tebow is not the tight end which we don't think he is and i'll be honest. I'm kind of in that boat or tim. Tebow is a tight end. And he earns his spot and he gets that roster spot and that's it was not good enough during the roster spot. He's not gonna get it. Because of urban meyer gives him that spot. He's gonna lose that locker room in a heartbeat.

"Data casting police sure so cast is the platform that we coined in south carolina that delivers educational data guessing. So stacey may certainly call it something different. If you're talking to others in other states they may have another name when a platform but educational data casting as a concept is shared among all of our projects in by simply that is the use of a broadcast signal to sand instructional content to a student's device. So we're recording his podcast right now. There's audio individual component if you have a student who would not otherwise be able to access this content with data casting you could sand audio and video to that student over broadcasting now is gonna go to their their self all wherever device they have if it can connect to a network they can receive the data cast but it is not using the internet therefore families who cannot afford the antenatal steel receive videos laissez documents. That type of thing. Correct modest they properly absolutely correct. If you can upload the it's a learning management system you can send it via a data cache so word. The office products of video audio file. It can be amazing. So stacey this next question for you and i just want to phrase it in in the right way originally. I was like what made who. Or what made you think that this conserve families. But how is this servant of families in your community. So in indiana we originally embarked on this thinking that we were going to serve the kids that don't have internet. We thought we were. We were thought we were serving a situation where it's a have or have not scenario with internet what we have found along our journey is that there is such a broad spectrum internet access within our state and across the country. And so we're actually finding that. There's a huge gray area of internet access from we have internet access. We say we have internet access because it's mom's cell phone but that's the only data access we have in our house all the way up to we have dial up so technically we have internet. I can't watch a video. If if it's required then we do have those that do have broadband and it might be sufficient to students for their day but maybe not everyone in the family at the same time especially if there's multiple learners for multiple parents at home trying to work too so we're serving all of those families not just once it don't have internet but anyway that's on that spectrum that can't support an entire family using internet at the same time that's amazing all people in also they have a device. Are they all able to get that saying signal without much interruption yes. Each house is equipped with the edge. Cast data cast unit. Which looks like an old school cable box for those of us old enough to remember them and a window antenna and that's the equipment that you need. You need to be able to bring in the broadcast signal and you need this box and then from the box any student that has a device that connect to that can access wifi can bring down their contents and it can be specified down to the student so if you have multiple students in the household certainly seeing the content targeted to them here. Either done by logging or just by saying we have three. We have a second grader and eighth grader and tenth grader. And so it's going to recognize by the email address that the student logs into the system. Which that. I need this class and it's only pulling in that content and that's what the students can sneak wild while i was not expecting that. Answer okay so now. What are some of the successes that you guys have been seeing using this technology. Do want to just take a moment to speak generally to the success that this particular project has by in terms of enhancing the partnerships between public media in our case while partners. I think that public media if you're familiar with our mission is always rooted in the provision of educational resources. We have too many dimension. But i think data casting in our spots in terms of using this technology during the pandemic we've been able to just reposition our seat at the table. A bid in show value of our legacy technology in the ability to offer services to students in this gray area that stacy's talking about but in terms of individual successes often tell people this is probably the most meaningful work that i've ever done here because when you hot to grandparents when you talk to appear heads or the students who typically are not able to get the youtube videos or when they go home they don't get what other students are able to log in and see plugging for them and you're like okay. Click here and you should be able to see your assignments in your video there. Lie what we're talking about. The most rural parts of our respective stay involve us. The success has been connectivity in enhanced. Learning experience for those students who can't take the virtual field trip because they can't download the video. They can't complete the assignment or they're having to go to their grandparents house to get to the internet to figure out what your teacher wants them to do. So putting creating those rich learning experiences but also for the teachers. Some of them have not had not heard from their students during the pandemic because okay they may come into cut their paper packet will know gonna see them again. We'll get that paper packet but with dana casting. You have some sort of way to communicate with that students. Even if it's just let me see you a quick video. Check in stephanie. To see how you doing you okay on the other side so those are the types of stories that we heard in. It's just been amazing man. I'm sitting up here saying man. That is life changing for a lot of our students and before i take this conversation. Stacy do you think schools who started using this form of communication instead of wi fi or in conjunction. I absolutely do and it's not a replacement for wifi for your students that have access to strong internet. This does it. Replace that but what it does. Is it augment wi fi capabilities and it will give access to content to students at otherwise would not have access to the content. So if you have students. That either can't complete assignments after school because they don't have the internet access to wash the video and type the response war to rewatch the lesson that everybody else gets to rewatch to understand the concepts. This is being able to reach those students in either an internet desert or at in a place where it's just not strong enough internet to be able to stream this will reach those students whether it's during the pandemic or after this is going to reach those student and is a tool equity i note. That's a big word of this year but this is really a tool for equity. That's what we're talking about here. Whether it's rural or urban it is a solution for being able to raise up those students that otherwise would not be able to have the content that they can get thirteen data casting and it won't replace why won't replace other types of communication because right now it is just one way so students can receive content. They can't send anything back because it's just like tv you can consume tv. But you can't send anything back through tv right now that's it won't ever replace our existing communication channels but they can certainly augments them as surveys. Stephanie and your community is equipment cost and are you able to use recycled material with this. Sell the equipment package in. It has to three different connectivity. Parts that come within including the antenna in about two hundred two hundred twenty five dollars on i think is the demand grows swore this particular technology. The cost is certainly to down. But here's the good thing for families. We have been able in all of our states to secure funding in partnership with our departments of air. Either to cares at funding to provide these devices for free cell. There is no cost to the family. There's the there may be minimal cost to the district's but in most cases grant funding is covering the infrastructure and all of their is so comparison. It is not the same todd about that. But if you're talking about a device or service that is not there that barrier to access is not there because we have the funds to provide these devices for the next several years certainly once. They student is down with the device there as an ability to return to the district and give it to another student in his desire to be on a district by district basis because every dish is to handle a different there it managed during them in many ways by the ma program so a student may keep that data casting device as long as it remains current lear entire middle or high school career simply amazing so works like a normal computer. Aqua just be able to access it and then information comes guess. You would see how it works. You connect through your wifi settings. So instead of accessing the cable companies wi fi you're accessing the cast wi fi and you connect through that to the box that's basically acting like a miniature server sitting on your living room floor or on your tv stand that's connected to the antenna and through that connection you're bringing in what was what was sent over the broadcast. How did you come up with it. There's actually a vendor that has been doing data casting for public for public safety for twenty years and how it started in. Indiana was the executive director of pbs. Had been part of a test. Over a year ago about a school safety exercise and approached the vendor and said has never been used in education and that was about the same time that stephanie and her group had approached them to and it became a conversation amongst states about how this could actually work. And stephanie seem ran with it and indiana eventually got with the program and we were able to follow in their footsteps only disappointed in the fact that the great state of texas was not allowed to be in the first group of it. I'm going to tell you the texans. We don't really take too kindly to being last. We'll definitely like to join the party. I'm telling you right now. come on. You need to join us thursday party. Yeah come on come on. Yeah yes that is amazing your station. Oh is going down. Trust me. I am going to send this recording. Get everything done. I'm sending this to my superintendent and because we have a area where dow towards near the coast of the gulf of mexico. Here's your some rural pockets. Who they don't get our cellular data very well. They don't get much of any signals. But i think the television signal does work there. I think this'll be a game changer. For a lot of our families. Especially if it's something as low cost us two hundred dollars to get the components. We already give devices at our school. I think that'd be a great thing for us because we have a lot of hotspot rivers talking to us but we get we give. We gave out hotspots. People had to bring hot spots back because they weren't able to catch the signal and this right here is just cuts down on a lot of equity issues that a lot of schools are facing in the pandemic and i wrote about that on a lot of episodes that we have done previously. So i'm like super excited about this stacey. I think that you answered this question already. But i'm gonna ask again you said it's one communication. Can you do a video chat on so in the current duration data casting. You can't and i say that because there's only so much broadcast spectrum that we can use and a standard zoom call would take up a whole bunch of that. So i see the highway and right now. It's two o'clock in the morning and working on the highway. Nobody's around and we can get through pretty good. What's about ready to happen is we're about ready to hit rush hour and there's only going to be so much movement at a time a standard zoom call with pretty much bring everything to a screeching halt and that would be like the multi car pile up scenario so right. Now we're saying no to zoom calls. There are some advances and television technology. That are on the horizon that might change but until that technology is implemented it's limited to one way communication but we are working with districts in how to what we're calling the return path. What do how do we establish that return. And so there's many different scenarios that we are working with districts in order to establish this return path. Some of them are very old school. A thumb drive exchange. We go and pick up your lunches and you have to turn in your thumb drive and you'll get a new thumb drives and that's how the exchange works others are a little bit more sophisticated in that you can go and you wifi in the school parking lot. You go and connect for a few minutes and hit submit on all your assignments and then you can go back home. It's five to ten minutes in a parking lot rather than all day in the parking lot. Which i would consider a huge win than the others are where there is that gray area internet where you do have a cell phone or you do have internet. But it's not good enough to stream. That's good enough to send the pdf back. So you can to that wi fi briefly in order to send materials back. It takes a lot less bandwidth to send back than it does to consume. If you're in one of the grey area grey area internet homes. That return path has a lot easier. But that there's lots of ways to come back that school buses driving around with wi fi. Go to your bus stop at the normal time you have to log in and send all your linemates while the bus is there and then it pulled off goes to the next hour. So there's all different ways. And we worked to customize that with with each district that is amazing. Just another thought and i don't know if this is possible but radio waves when it would be able to send over radio waves. I don't know the answer to that is no. I honestly think that right now though. The focus is on the broadcast signal for televisa for even gibbs to radio. The question is often asked me is candidate to the telling. You can't watch it on tv so we're not air yet. But i think that is the possibility with the enhancements. That stacy was mentioning earlier. So i wouldn't think we're closer to that radio but that is the question that i will retain the thumb drive exchange. Come get your lunch. do the same. I can see so many different programs. They can't be ran steenkamp stem camps of low socioeconomic students hostel show economic. It doesn't even. This is such a game changing. And i want to see this technology in the hands of anybody who use wear can if a farmer a an educator or school like how can i what do i need to go. I i would say reachout. Pbs station and have them get in contact with either itbs or setv. They're the one that went through the process with the states to have the conversations about bringing data casting technology to the state and more likely than the ones that might have a little bit of money. Maybe some cares. Act partout that might be able to help fund this kind of project. There's i think those are the best ways to start. We've actually started a multi state group that we're all talking every other week. Now of this is what i'm experiencing with deployments. What are you experienced in. Has anybody come across this yet. We created instructions. Who wants them those kinds of things so that we're using resources wisely trying to pave the way for other states to join us and we've already tripped potholes so we'll tell you where they are and hopefully you don't step in the same ones that we stepped in that. I think connecting which the other states that have done. This would be a great first step. And then also talking with your department of ed and within the state to see whether it's interesting if it's been explored that is super duper amazing. Wow you have something to add dr. I agree with all of those sentiments. I think that it really can be a grassroots effort. We had a technology we were like. Hey we have something cool. Let's see if we can make this work but certainly if you have. Teachers who are interested in like students need this technology. I think that can certainly go a long way in terms of partnering with your department of ed or your school district reaching out to be. Ubs say hey we want to know about this. In is certainly. We are happy to answer any questions. Okay i told you. Data casting has been my life for the past. I the question that we could sir. We are happy and use aljazeera website in from there. "Every night about this time to give you a little something, something that could be a rant or could be a rave, But it's always something good that we like to call. Freddie and fit. Seven's the last word. Alright brother Ian Fitzsimmons on this late Tuesday early Wednesday. What is your last word? Before I even get to it. What do I go with you after the show? Four versus Ferrari Kill Bill Volume one Ford versus Ferrari. Better movie. Very underrated movie. Yeah, and two story. Yes, definitely. Based on a true story. There's a lot of truth in that movie. I'm like Kill Bill. Volume one buying 2 30 0. Truth kill Bill. I know that, but Anyway. A look with no NFL combine and this is something Albert Breer told us about last week from Monday morning quarterbacking outside I come. This is something now that the senior Bowl which is going on right now. The actual game on Saturday. It's great for fans. But when it comes to evaluating talent And the Senior Bowl right now, this week to NFL executives and scouts and Position coaches. This Is it talking to two different coordinators in the NFL today, Freddy when you and I spoke earlier They both text me back sand. This week is so much more important because we can't get the same time at the combine. So I mean, I mean, watching Ben Mason against tough Borland and Titan. But can we please stop bullets not to have his head about Bob up and down when he's chasing somebody. They were way too late for that, my friend. Yeah. I mean, that's when you're really struggling, but anyway Thies air kind of matchups where every NFL scout is looking at and evaluating to the EMP degree Now because of the combine not being there this year, so If your die hard NFL in college football fan, your two worlds have collided and this is not a combine. This is the most important week for your NFL team and your scouts and your coaches to be evaluating town..

Outside my favorite restaurant, Lindenwood Diner on the Queens Brooklyn board in New York. Not too far from my mom and dad lift. Man. Oh, man they have They have pink lemonades. Tremendous, But anything they make is unbelievable, including their pastries. So Lindenwood Diner on Linden Boulevard. But Ian No Kimberly life to ask this question. Oh, Lord, Do you like to cook? Yeah. Hell, yes, e You knew that answer. Did Fred? I know not just Yes, but hell, yes, exactly. Like, all right, we got the run down. I'm gonna go make the girls food. Yes, that it happens. Night after night here, Freddie Fitzsimmons on ESPN Radio, the ESPN offensive action talent lady. I don't mind cooking by just leaving my wife. She pretty much takes care of that side. Just standing. I leave that to the professionals. I stay out of that. We appreciate it. Yeah, my wife a brief days that too. Out of the kitchen, Doyle swear it's quick. Okay. "It's um, a guesthouse by to hang out with us to hit thanks to the Goodyear Hotline. You knew the conversation was going to start. When the Green Bay Packers lost. They had their opportunities and Rogers in his future, but would not even to get into that. Maybe in four minutes, maybe could see the same time and Rogers III going to another. You know, Brady didn't doing something similar. We'll get that in four minutes, but in Fitzsimmons Messer Fitzsimmons wants an answer to this question when it comes to and Rodgers and the Packers lost yesterday, and that question is why does Aaron Rodgers get a pass? Why is all the blame going on? That would floor and a Green Bay head coach for kicking a field goal. Fourth and goal from the eight I'm being brutally honest. Yeah, because watching the game. I mean, everyone wants the same game that we did. I mean, let's go back to the end of the first half. Before you had that unbelievable touchdown pass, right? From Brady to little speedy Gonzalez on the outside. She does run about 438, which is he's really does no doubt. But what set that up? Oh, wait and Aaron Rodgers I nt Now. Was it DP? I was there holding there? Yeah, I think so. But could he have bled? You know, I think was Alma Sarde a little more? Absolutely. He could have So and Rogers gets no blame on that and I nt with about 34 seconds to go in the first half, which led to Touchdown pass from Tom Brady. Don't By the way that was on fourth damn down. In the play before fourth and Ford get a stop. Everyone's to blame at the floor right for kicking a field goal and oh, by the way, let's go back to before third and eight when he decides to kick a field goal down eight. To go, you know, down five. Talking to one NFC coordinator who played against Air Rogers for five years, six years. Was like, man. I couldn't believe that he didn't run that. And do they know the double checked? He did against us a million times. Even if you did half of it. Forth and four Game on the line. There's no ways kicking a field goal. Aaron Rodgers went out of character instead of running it. She has a million times in his career. Chucks it into double coverage across his body passes incomplete, tells a different discount. Double check back and by the way without question, I couldn't remember the slogan. Thank you very much picking that up. But anyway, But Freddie Now should matter. Flora told him. Look, man, Call your home it A Z said I gave Aaron Rodgers call your own play here. Which is immense trust in your quarterback, and he's earned that trust. Yes, absolutely. But you should also tell him that this is on the floor if we don't get it. Depending on how close we are. I'm kicking it. Change the mentality of bed down, doesn't it? Well, so if your aunt Rogers, you know, you have to go and make a play, make a play. With the coach with the coach had to tell. You should have nothing to do with you. As great as you've been a situation develops. You make the adjustment. Okay? Double coverage. I got a wide open right side of the field. I got guys behind me. I should be able to outrun lineman. If your quarterback we've seen it before you go back and watch theirs in the moment, I'm going. Oh my God! He's in school. He's going to score. If he's not going to score. He's the least cutting that that that deficit in half from 13 8, the fourth and four And at that moment you could look at your head coach because you had Peyton Manning did this with Jim Caldwell. Remember that? My home. You keep that field goal unit off the field partner. We're going for this, buddy. Uh, I got it. I've got it. You know, Aaron Rodgers could easily have gone a met then, innit? I I got this is a head coach with that pedigree in that guy. Yeah, all right. It's all you, buddy, go get it. You hate it. How you play. No. And that's exactly what Caldwell did with Manning. And guess what turned out to be pretty good, then that I'm going to a Super Bowl right there. What? My biggest question Freddy is. Why is Aaron Rodgers getting a pass? Foreign huge mistake the end of the first half. And a mental mistake with the game on the line. The answer is very simple because it's easier to blame a head coach. Then it is a marquee player. It's easy to blame one than 53. We've always seen that in sports, especially one of those 53. His name is Aaron Rodgers. I'll give you another answer Your question by blazing Fitzsimmons on Freddie Coleman of Freddie and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio, the ESPN APP and X in town a while and Roger's getting a pass. It's because of the guy on the other side. Tom Brady. If Aaron Rodgers playing the quarterback, there was not on his level. He's not getting a pass. You shouldn't get a pass anyway. But let's save Aaron Rodgers was playing. Her cause the Minnesota and that happened. How could you not outplay Kirk cousins like on your home field? You let Kirk cousins I'll play you. Went how much of the specter Tom Brady being on the other side Because Tom Brady, it's rude, first half and Roger the terrific first half. But in the second half, Brady had his foibles. Three interceptions in seven attempts at one point, and the defense of Tampa Bay had his back and Rogers Maybe getting a pass. He's not getting a pass from us. Definitely not from you, but he may be getting a pass and others saying man, Tom Brady was on the other side and Tom Brady. He was able to do a 43 years of age if it was a less a quarterback. And Tom Brady or and Raj's. On the other side. He would be getting a lot more shade and a lot more side eye from people Then he got on Monday, and I guess it's easy to blame one when he's the head coach them playing suicide quarterback That's the other part of the 53 go back to the O uncritical, 3rd and 4th downs in the 1st and 1st half In the third quarter. Make a stop. Tackles on the letter for net spin out touchdown. Three guys had open shots on him. And he may limit for net look like he was wearing seven and l A. Is you and at 28 for Tampa Bay that some guys make some business decisions. Not really look like it. I mean, you talk about eating a biscuit. I don't eat the biscuit and gravy right and still went around, guys. I mean, this was not on Matt Leflore. This entire You wanna blame? One guy? You can't blame one guy. My biggest question, though, is why is Aaron Rodgers getting a free pass because he doesn't deserve a free pass, and by the way, he's not going anywhere. If you think he's gonna pull it, Tom Brandt go somewhere else and two or three years. Give it up. He's not going anywhere. That does me. He better start playing bad if he gets another championship game, especially on his home field. We switch gears, the NFL and the new and the old on account of the New York Jets and the Shawn Watson. This is Freddie Fitzsimmons. And this is ESPN radio. Tuesday..

Another reason why Adam Silver and be a convention in Fitzsimmons is the best thing going when it comes to commissioner reporting the owners but being a charge and having his league one step ahead, and sometimes even three or four steps ahead of anybody else. Most forward thinking. You know, Commissioner that's out there. Even close, you know, Hands down by far bar None. And look, I'll give Gary Bettman a ton of credit for what they were able to do. And crowning a Stanley Cup champion and what he did with what the two bubbles Right. The East and the West. You know, during the last The last hockey season and cranking it back up again, knowing that all the answers are going to lose billions of dollars. Absolutely. You and I have bashed the ever loving bejesus out of Gary Bettman. For a lot of years, and rightfully so. But he does us deserve a little bit credit. Sure, but Adam Silver Man to your point Friday he is By far Bar none the most forward thinking. Commissioner of any of the Big Four. Well when it comes to his whole goal, right? Not not whole goal, but one of his goals is for you to be able to walk into an NBA arena. Take you little debit card, which would be a wagering or gambling card. Plug it into a kiosk like you can do overseas. The Premier League when it comes to soccer. Put your card in wherever your balances and wager on that game. You're going in the watch. Why? Because it wanted it's it. You profit. You get a percentage off of that wager, too. Accountability and transparency when it comes to your officiating, and if anybody's on the take from when it comes to a player Vegas is gonna hear about it. Don't they know that's Adam? That's how forward thinking Adam Silver is. I want complete transparency. He is too. You're pretty. He is the best. He's the most. Aggressive. And forward thinking. Boss. "No hope in your advisor just learning Observe, right, take a step back and then jump back in and 22 because somebody will hire this man. I think a lot of people have a lot more regard for Doug Peterson outside of Philadelphia and fill it up is gonna ruin today. That they allowed him to be the guy to fall on the sword for what happened with Carson wins and Howie Roseman. I'm still Hey, He's the one that allowed this had to happen, Meaning Carson was getting that contract. Because he was able to tell Jeffrey Lurie sign up on that guy right now, and Jeffrey Lurie did. And when things went haywire, it wasn't Carson Wentz was in danger being kicked out of Philadelphia because, like you mentioned that contract makes it practically impossible to move on from him. Somebody to pay for that and was gonna Howie Roseman, but yet he has had less success. As a GM. And Doug Peterson has has a head coach. He's giving him sugar honey ice tea instead of great stuff out there outside of Carson wins, and he got to the playoffs. You can't win a game on d I think today. We showed that we could play some defense, You know, I mean, it's kind of a lost art. Everybody's focus is awesome. But you know me coz drills that defense is important. And today we kind of showed that mean what's concentrated his shot? To play really well, but, you know, way contest. It's a lot of shots. Man, you know. I mean, we got you played well today. Mike go back to even the little League. Were you ever a part of a 46 to 3 run because that's what you guys did to the Badgers tonight. 46 to 3 run. I don't know. I don't think I've ever been a part of something like that. What is it? 231 is crazy. Miscarriage didn't think about it. Even though it were in the middle of a game. You don't even pay attention to that. You just out there playing a game. But you know that's that's while not even that I was that's that. It happened. It happened. Number one, said Mike 40, 63 number two. What is your coach? Seven? You're playing that? Well, he just like guys keep going or guys, you know, clean this up. What was Juwan Howard? Your coach saying when you're in the middle of this run How'd you keep playing? Keep playing. Don't don't give up means the teams have come back from a lot of mean teams have come back from a lot. I mean, you know, I mean, and once you get a big lead to get comfortable and the team starts Running back and you start getting motivated. They start getting, um, their their their whatever they want s O coach that Hey, like don't give up. Keep wearing on him. Keep playing hard because the game's not over. The game's not over to a double zeros on the clock and, uh I think we continue to keep playing. 11 and no creeping up now in the top five and Freddie I mentioned last week that you know Gonzaga in Baylor. You know, Freddy kind of puts Texas in there, you know, kind of on the outside, looking in his far as teams and a whole another level. Is it About time we start talking Michigan also getting up on that level with Gonzaga and Baylor. Are you guys there? I believe so personally, but also, you know, I mean, I'm not. I'm not a big believer in ranking. Um, you know, I mean, I think that, um it's all about what we do. Um Outside, like in practice and things like that, you know, I mean, even if a ranked 200 in the country a song we keep working, and we keep playing the way we're playing, I think the time will show In the hard work with show for sure so Thanks for the Michigan they put on Wisconsin tonight, joining us and Freddie Fitzsimmons and ESPN radio. How does Mike Smith get to be friends? Really good friends with Jimmy Butler of Miami Heat in here. Hey. Oh, yeah. So long story short. My high school team was sponsored by Jordan. Um, and he was on the bulls at this time on. They brought him to an event where the 16 that was sponsored in Chicago. Um they all revealed the jersey and that year about Jimmy there Ingenuous there, and we got back from a question on D. I think I acted like a funny question. I forget the question isn't it was so long ago. Um, but he last and He thought it was funny later later that day, hey, went like away from from us. To sign the wall. The news. New spotting on Michigan asked the Jordan stores in the new score. He wanted us on the wall, and it's funny now because I went to my coat. Some told me. I don't know what it was. Think of God. I never would have thought to ask him to work out and I went to my coach Rick Manati on. He said. I was a coach. Do you think I should ask anybody if I could work out with him? He said. Yeah, What's coming where she said? No, I said All right. Well, I'm gonna go walk up to him, and I said, Hey, it's funny now, like everybody last time, because we're really good friends. And I say, Hey, Mr Butler, it's funny, not Clark home, JB now and it's just funny. I called Mr Butler. I said, Hey, Mr Bowler, like is it okay if I work out with you? I wanna be where you are right. I don't want any autographs and pictures I don't want anything goes but to be fair. You're right then. He said. Yeah, laws against Moses, not against any anti double rules or anything. Yeah, for sure. And I said, no, it's not 18. You're not paying for anything. On the next day. I got a stranger's number that same day and this training technique said Hey, Jenny wants to work. Didn't want the work out with you at the bulletin. Silly. Don't be late, And I said, Hey, you know about outside outside before ours in the parking lot, And so he gets there. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, not trust me. I'm not gonna be like sitting out there. Sleep in my car. On, but I mean it from there. He took me under his wing and we are truly blessed to be a part of it is ah, family essentially on me. That's family for me. Um, we work out every summer. We train I mean, I mean, I learned so much from him as a person and as a basketball player, and, you know, I mean, it's a blessing. Wow. That is fantastic about Mike Smith. Great story, and it's working out for him. 16 points to rebound Sex tonight. More importantly, Michigan State undefeated the number seven of the country. They beat number nine with Scott's They beat the blood out of them 77 to 54. Great stuff by Mike Smith Joining us here on Freddy efforts in and take Mikey with great work, my friend. Thanks so much for joining us, and you take care. Thank you so much for having me. That's a fantastic story. All all he could say is no. And look what happened. That's a no, no, to me means maybe your later and he is his coach was spot on. What's the worst thing That happens Exactly? Because sometimes adults are talking, kid. L don't bother Mr. Bother that bother him His coach, What do you got to lose? There, he says. Yes or no. There you go. And he said Yes. Great Story of fantastic stuff. By Mike Smith. He's in Fitz Simmons on Freddie Coleman on Freddy and Fitz Simmons and in college football. This is the question when it comes to the Alabama Nick Saban's Keep it here on ESPN radio. You know, they like you competitive against the Seahawks 30 after like this win against the Seahawks. Does it become a really fucked vision rivalry will continue it. I think the Rams really do you have Ah, belief internally that they could go to a family Blumenfield and knock one off out on Saturday. They may believe in Fitzsimmons. But do you believe the ramps can go on the road and beat Seattle? I do. As a matter of fact, they played to the level of their opponent island with golf or without God. This is a total contrarian pick. That's it. Everybody in America is on betting on the Seahawks. I go. Always go the other way. Give me the Rams, Plus the three I can't trust the Rams on this one that quarterback bank up Enough Cooper Cup but play even though he's out of covert 19 protocol. He seems like he's going to be there. The ranch is just way too for me. Seattle has that look, The defense has played a lot better. The running game has been a little bit better. It's not all all on Russell Wilson. I can't trust the Rams and I'm not going to. I'm taking Seattle to win this one. And then the Rams will have even more issues in this off season. Compared the last season. Fitzsimmons of Freddie Coleman doing a little five game Friday, plus one for your NFL wild card weekend. Here on Freddy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio. ESPN happens is at some town 80. We've done Colts versus the Bills. And like the bills. I like I like the bills as well in that match, But you're taking the bills to win by more than six. Right? William Turner Interview, horse training for the Triple Crown

"Another guy who knows a thing or two about training a good horses trainer Billy Turner. I told you today is his eightieth birthday. The man who conditions Seattle slew to win the triple crown in nineteen seventy seven. Yeah he was born on leap day he is a leap. Ling and eightieth birthday today. He's with me now for a few minutes here on H. R. BILLY. Thanks for taking a little time and happy birthday my friend. Well thank you very much. It's a pleasure to be here. I pointed out the a few minutes ago that if you're born on a leap day you celebrate a birthday every four years. Are you really eighty? Yes this is my. I never dreamed it possible because All my peers. And and so forth. And Sean have all passed away. Well thankfully you are still here with us in. You're able to join me here for a few minutes this morning. Yeah how are you gonNA celebrate your eightieth birthday billy Very very Very quietly and you know when you get to my age you don't you don't advertise your speech thankful for what you you're here billy when I say the name Seattle slew. What are some of the first things that pop into your head well just just a phenomenal athletes phenomenal Al Animal Very intelligent and Phenomenal speed and he could and there was just no quitting and yeah he was ultra tough. You know we talk about horses today. Billy some people say well you have to train them differently than you did. Back in the seventies and the sixties and the fifties and there are different types of horses but look we've seen two triple crown winners in recent years ending a long drought How how do you? How do you get a horse? Ready for the triple Crown Billy. What's what's the key. Well the thing is I was scorch obvious enough to be surrounded by some of the greatest a couple of the grave. Well couple of number of the greatest trainers of of our times and one was sunny. Jim Fitzsimmons in the learning. But Assad Ben Jones and Van Jones as you know we changed for Kalua met and five Derby winners and two triple crown. We're at all that kind of stuff and and the same with the FITZSIMMONS and One thing that That a pointed out to me quietly on the side is Then Jones exercise boys role hundred and sixty pounds or more and I yeah that's a that's a lot and he said They said well. You said you know you You don't You you you You don't doubt the hell out of him every day but you sit on them for an hour and that's one thing both Fitzsimmons in Jones. They would the horse would go out and be ridden for an hour. That is not done today. At all and What that does is it. Just get some strong without putting any undue stress on their on their legs and so forth but it gets their back strong and the the It's the back that vic collapses when the Horse Starts Tiring and it kind of collapses enough so then that puts all the pressure on the ligaments and then you start getting bowed tendons and all that kind of stuff. Well you avoid all that if you have a horse. Well conditioned and taking them out and Galvin and two miles is a waste of time Just things like that and Fitzsimmons said. Never give him a day off. Never get well. He said if they're sick or something like that but but never given the day off and Maybe if you're getting a horse ready for the triple crown and Those are those things are are But that doesn't mean you got the hell out of them everyday document trainer Billy Turner here on the Horse Racing Radio Network celebrating his eightieth birthday on this leap day here on February twenty-ninth Billy when you sit there today on your birthday and you think back on your career in all the success that you've had obviously Seattle slew is always going to hold a special place but is there another moment or two that. Come to mind that when you think back on your career that for whatever reason you're never gonNA forget well They probably right after she had US knew. I had a horse called Czarevich who is One of the first news agencies to Race on dirt in this country and And He was a. He was a very very tough for us to To to to handle because he he walked to the racetrack on his hind legs. Just like command and I I thought well I don't know anything about the case but I'll I'll just let him do that and He turned out to be a good horse. You only ran three thirteen times but he he won eight and he was second in the others. So there you go billy. I remember a few years ago when I was Belmont. Cover one of the triple crown. Say I guess maybe it was even American Feroz Year. You were kind enough to spend a little time with me in the radio booth and sit down for an interview and I told everybody you won't find a nicer person in horse racing than Billy Turner and you're kind enough to spend a little time with me here this morning too so I appreciate that and it was great to hear your voice and happy eightieth birthday. My friend anymore John died and no. Are you related to any of the pen? Is that that I know that. Bill modder trained to go online. I am not no angel. I get that question a lot. I am not related to to any of them although I grew up in western Massachusetts went to Saratoga Lot but no I never No never never was related to any of them dependence. Okay okay. Roy. Never had a chance to ask that question. Yeah no not at all duly. Listen I have to get to a commercial break but happy eightieth? My friend and many many more. Well thank you for calling me.

"App from the NFL Antonio brown turning himself into Broward county jail Thursday in response to an arrest warrant filed against on three charges he faces charges of felony burglary with battery burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief stemming or from a Tuesday incident where he allegedly assaulted a truck driver outside is Hollywood Florida home brown trainer Glenn Holt was also arrested Tuesday on felony burglary and battery he was released on a twenty thousand dollar bond for Ian Fitzsimmons on ABC's latest issue I was surprised that the good if the police basically just didn't sit there and wait for him to come out a winner for orders as to come out to kick the door in I would win I'm I was shocked when that happened and if you didn't turn himself in an extended did leave the house he was gonna be cuffs so he had no choice but to turn himself in outlook I don't I don't like what would Antonio brown is done in the last couple of years at all when you read what he's done to some people that he employed out of the female or you know I'm soo suasion yeah it's it is disgusting if they have half of it's true one of them is true I mean it it's nauseating and so this is one where he I'm not I don't want to say that I I I I believe that he has C. Cowboys to move on without Jason Garrett

"Jason Garrett's time up as coach of the Dallas Cowboys Edward a reporting Jerry Stephen Jones have decided coach will not be part of the organization moving forward on Friday and paid Simmons on why this process lasted so long after the season to other Jerry and Stephen Jones have moved slowly out of respect for Jason Garrett you know they have a long history with him as a backup quarterback you to this is that coach a head coach's father was in the organization when Jerry bapa team as a scout and they finally concluded that phase of this process and that's going to end with Jason Garrett not being a part of the organization beyond his expiring contract and when exactly they make that announcement I thought sure what I've been told soon and that the next phase will have them moving into the process of interviewing candidates in the battle begin quickly after phase one is totally finished off yes was contract set to expire January fourteenth status with the team at issue since last February the cowboys didn't give a contract extension they missed the playoffs in twenty nineteen finish eight neighbor the four time in his tenure as coach Keyshawn Johnson on the job candidates and Jerry Jones himself he was on sports and we stand ready to make a decision on it there was the eight their long term in the obvious would clearly felt that their work you say while they waited till Thursday well the food that just won't really it just is so you kind of say okay take a deep breath we get back to the facilities we talk about a little bit we think about we pondered overnight we need or Thursday we meet on Tuesday we meet on Wednesday we have a conversation and we finally so you know women the best thing for us to do if not give the public what they looking for what they looking for me to do is be extremely mad and walk out of there on Sunday night if fire you on the tarmac so instead of doing that this call wait a couple days are you playing for the cowboys you're familiar with Jerry Jones and and and his thinking all what happens next now in this search for the next cowboys head coach I think a guy like Mike Zimmer Minnesota Vikings head coach could potentially be a candidate you say how could that be well I I II coach there in the deepest corner along try defensive coordinator for Jerry Jones is the bill Parcells fact either stay here they know what they're getting in that particular coach but also there's a young officer coordinator in cabin step band he this sitting there in Minnesota the Minnesota Vikings don't want to part ways with him they don't want him all of a sudden start to get interviews and become a category another team so I would be surprised if somehow might dimmer wind up being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in the cabinet she takes over as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings so a lot of story lines this call come about here over the next with date but I think this time around you will get the head coaching job right where the coach may be season one more before we go do you think that at this point Jerry Jones is ready to surrender more control to a head coach now then he has been willing to in the past as bill Parcells left and and I want to turn this on your stamina I am right now status is not a defense Jerry Jones was some what he is and even as well as we clay as well as Jerry junior what is your you Jones gone wrong with that organization other than the head coaching hire that's a very good question that's very good everybody everybody everybody said here you're you're here the one on that team thank you for calling the latter team for the National Football League I would I would argue and say that their top five channels it is four tally dole is a National Football League the problem is that head coach because you're you're not holding the plate yeah well that gives the player is a free pass for having innate need season the talent on the field didn't win enough games he and Garrett will finish as the second longest tenured and second most winningest coach in team history Tom Landry a record of eighty five and sixty seven the wonders to playoff games unable to get past the divisional round Mike wells Myron Medcalf on Freddie Fitzsimmons the Dallas Cowboys there you know they draw attention but the the the days of being America's team and wanted to be part of what is age and it's not the same anymore it is not the same strictly because of what you have to deal with away from just coaching of football team is not simply you know put together a strong staff the coaster brakes of Amari Cooper Ezekiel Elliott and dak Prescott it's also having the answer constant questions from your boss the owner Jerry Jones deck could become a headache when you're you can't simply just focus on the task of putting your team in the proper position the try to have success there's a side show that comes with it and some people are built or not built to be able to deal with that so you got to find the right coach who is not only a great Exynos guy but somebody who's mentally strong enough to handle the constant you know looking over the shoulders and the pestering of your boss meddling in the inside of things wonder why things are not going well or to give us suggestions on what you should be doing that's not something easy that everybody can handle that type of situation well it and not everybody wants it and that's why I think a lot of these cultures your Matt rules related rallies urban Meyer's why except that to me if you're not going to modernize the structure of your organization so that your owner can do what every other owner does and take a backseat and not be this forward facing figure who's hosting its own press conferences after the game sometimes undermining the head coach then then how can you expect to attract a great candidate bomb out rule no one eight I'm leaving Baylor I got a chance to build something there if I'm leak in Raleigh I'm in Oklahoma and every year I get a chance to go to the college football playoff leave in Oklahoma where I can coach for another decade at least about continue to succeed ever murmur Meyer I'm not leaving LA or on the TV analyst making good money watching a lot of football injuries bouncing around the country see a lot of teams to go to Dallas where I've got a deal with Jerry that's why I think it's going to be difficult if Jerry Jones wants to continue to be Jerry Jones I don't think Mike he's going to end up with any of the top candidates identifying potential replacements Bobby carpenter and fox college football reporter Bruce Feldman gas on Freddie impede Simmons Stephen Jones Jerry Jones offered that coaching job urban Meyer she would say I think that's a hard job to say no urban probably wouldn't be needing to be for another year is that all you but who knows enough the big job at the glamorous job and remember the nose you know damn owns his courage and damn ongoing expound acted it all back thank god yeah I was supposed to do the oil itself journal part of mine and to buy that it was offered so you're going to want to meet your need to guide it was a proven track record we've done it before who's been in the playoffs the only guy that I look at the newest hires cycle that's really available is Mike McCarthy and it's free thank god I'm not that I'm not the biggest Mike McCarthy stand the world but he's the only guy that it holds no one Barty and that is the only thing that Jerry Jones once he is getting older is that you know you if you spend more time on this earth that he's going to spend has the last was starving if you get that oracle Marty troche with them of the order would love to put it in there Mike you've done that you chose to leave and you've been in the playoffs he's done a good job that would be my selection I don't know if they don't know what it does do checks all
