"On top. She how bad it wass for the San Francisco 49, a man who is not breaking down. We broke down the saint's defense and I was down wallet a tighter than Las Vegas Raiders told catch 103 yards and one touchdown. As the Raiders go to know they beat the Saints 34 to 20 for Darren is here on Friday and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio. Thanks to sell pencil performance line, Dad, you're a matchup problem tonight for the Saints. I know it didn't look easy. But what was it like knowing that any time they went to you, you deliver tonight against that pretty good Saints defense. I'm just trying to muscle in on consistency of you know, I always reflect on the early part of my career where I was inconsistent and unavailable in like a really count on me, so I just tried. Happen to that realize, like I have the power to be consistent. I need to do that every weekend. My teammates, you know best ever that I have, and I feel like when I do that, and I'm prepared. I feel like I'll like the results. Well, I can't say what Not only do you like it tonight be a quarterback Raider Nation you were at your team was absolutely exceptional. But you were you've got in this rhythm with Derek are going back to last year. Now into this season describe how that that relationship in this chemistry has evolved over the last few years. Mommy really evolve from when I first got to the team of the 2018 and there between Bible study, it was the place I could come in there and be vulnerable about things. I'll still with I think I've been through in Durban Open never judged me anyway. Once I kind of realized that I was like, Oh, God, that I won't let down. He's always been there for me. Always. You know, talking to me about great news. You know how I could do? No, whatever accomplice wherever I want, accomplish sport a lot into me and so I got down. I want to be there for him. God cares onto the offseason. Any little thing that he wants to try to be there to communicate with him? Because I possibly can. And I think that kind of stuff paid off on that tonight. For those who don't know your story. You had your issues when you select about a Baltimore Ravens 2015 draft was suspended by that team for substance abuse. Got a near death experience in Baltimore. You overdosed in your car. You undergo therapy. You returned the NFL 2018. And now you're doing this two years later. How much do you say to yourself? I know I'm not gonna waste this opportunity, but I'm really appreciate that I was able to find the light side at the going through the dark side. Oh, yes, because I don't deserve any deserve. It is all like bonus added blessing like I screwed up my opportunity to play in the league. I screwed up the opportunity that Relationships with people in life, you know, so it's like the things that are being added back to me being blessed with now I don't deserve them, so I just treat them the most no license of urgency. Every day is treated like it's important. Every activity of drew everything that I'm going through is important. And then it just, you know, I just try to be sane person day in and day out. Just keep improving. You know, Darren when I had reconstructive foot surgery six years ago, I became addicted to pain pills on Diamond Open book about it because I can help one person overcome it. Then it means the world to me. You seem like you have a very similar attitude. What's it mean? When someone comes up to you and says Hey, You being so open about your addiction. Has helped me overcome mine. Yeah. First of all, that's incredible by you. Congratulations to you second off. Yeah, that means a lot to me more than anything or anybody congratulated me on my game or anything like that is like people. Say that I fired him because I looked back, and I was like all the others being from the inspiration for them to say that about me now It's like encouraging me to want to doom or to be more open to encourage people to, you know, try to go about other routes of dealing with their pain and their issues in their life. That what I want, do not want to be of service to people. His former teammate Mike Wallace in Baltimore, said. I remember being in Baltimore, Darren Wahl. I do used to go for 250 yards a day and practice a lot of smiling. A motive is next to it. Glad to see it all come out in the game, and it came out tonight. 12 catch 103 yards touchdown as the Raiders beat the Saints. By Count 34 to 24 Big thanks to Darrin Wallet, Aerated Stein and joining us at the victory here on Friday and Fitzsimmons, keep up to keep up my friend. Congratulations to you and continued success. And thanks for joining us, my man. Absolutely. That was really good of Mike walls. Put that up, and it shows you what kind of person down Waller is that Michael's look, he went through that storm. I'm really happy that he's been able to do this because he used to kill us in practice when we with the Baltimore Ravens. That's a pretty good tweet that Mike Walls put out their former Ravens wide receiver. That's awesome. And he and he is is a remarkable story. It really is men and What he's doing right now again, 90 catches last year, maybe the quietest 90 catches and over 1100 yards that when that no, no one really noticed right there noticing. Right now he plays like an MBA power forward. He looks like Anthony Davis going outside those kind of Kansas. I'll know if he's yelling Kobe when he catches a touchdown pass by Anthony Davis went there by winning Game two against Denver. But Good victor by the Raiders, and they will take that into a murderous got that's going on at this game with a win over the same tonight, this unfriendly FitzSimons in a mighty ESPN radio. "For being a part of it is to be a part of you. It is Friday, and Fitz Simmons on Freddie Coleman. Easy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio. ESPN APP inserts Axum Channel 80 got some calls football this weekend a lot more games on the schedule that spot a straight talk. Brought by straight talk while this one of those games were involved in Fitzsimmons, who would be part of the broadcast when Houston Baptist takes on Texas Tech a PM Eastern time, a big 12 network and ESPN plus in had a chance to catch with the Texas Tech head coach Mad Wells and was a lot about football but a lot about life and football. His other conversation went He's head football coach at Texas Tech Year to over in Lubbock. He's Matt Wells, who joins us right now here on Friday, and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio with Freddie Coleman on me, and that's seven thanks for spending part of your evening with Ussing and coach. Ah, we've known you for a long, long time now, And obviously this is a unique year to say the least. When you look over your history of being a head coach, giving ready for week one it during a pandemic, described how different this has been for people who really can't contemplate it. Yeah, it's Um different would be like, probably the mildest description. Of of what we're going through a unique, um, challenging Um You know, it really is a strain, too. Right state kind of emotionally neutral, maybe, or medium as Jim Zorn. Lo que be coaches to say. Stay medium never too high, Never too low. And when I say that it's kind of the swings of of Kobe. In the Corona with how many times were twit We're testing and You're putting in game plans, you know, like for the first game starting the middle of last week. No one you had a Friday test. OK, we got through that. Who's out who's not out. Through the weekend and have been a Sunday test. And this morning, a Wednesday test which I still don't have the results yet back. Back yet. And then into a Friday more, you know tests That goes before Friday meetings and game plans. So I mean, You're looking at, Um You know, probably never really. Emotionally knowing Here's who I have for this week until Amid the late day on Friday is the reality and, you know we don't play a sport that is position, Lis. If you catch my drift, you know, and so You know if you're above the threshold in your plane, you know what does that do to your rotations? Definitely your special teams substitution. How many substance harmony subgroup packages do you have on offense? How many do you have on defense? Um We like to rotate some of our guys and our best guys in on special teams. Outfits. I mean, It's never been anything because you like this before, because usually you get through the meat and potatoes of practice on Wednesday like tonight. You putting final touches on the game plan tonight? Tomorrow morning. Thursday's a Polish it up day Friday the walk through day. I don't know what Friday is gonna be this year. How uncomfortable is that for you? I mean, because you coaches, you're dotting. I's crossing tease like four times. So what is that? Like, just for you internally. Will You know, I Honestly, everybody else going through it. You know, we're all going through at night. I talk to other guys in the same position that I am in. And, um, I think you just Why don't you just chalk it up and you can laugh and go, You know, frickin 2020 you know and say, Hey, let's make the most of it. I think You know, hopefully your attitude of the leader, a permeate the culture of the locker room and your and your coaches and you know it's a lot of next man up mentality, but It's a whole nother ball game in terms of next man up mentality because it also could be a coach. And somebody signaling Who's calling the game offense, defensive coordinators. We have practiced that actually in training camp, other guys calling it other guys signaling what happened if We've practiced all that and so just being prepared, and I think having the confidence that hey, we have practiced it and we have a plan for it. And maybe it's maybe it's a little bit this year. Not if it happens, That's when it happens. That well's head coach, Texas tact they they have their weak one opener against Houston Baptist. I'll be a part of the call with any straw. You know Tom Luginbill in my sorry butt on the sidelines Matt Wells here with us on ESPN radio. Um, how important is it? And this is something that Lincoln rally brought up. Remember in Ah in mid July, Kalani Strataki on on on Monday told us this as well. If they they've destroyed Navy. If you have a bunch of guys that are self motivated, I think the term link used was intrinsically motivated along with guys that can embrace A change in a curve balls that are going to be thrown at them during this pandemic. As you prepare week to week, those of the teams that are going to have success when you when you when you when you hear that I we've known you a long time, man. How much do you think that is going to be just Paramount for any team is going to win this season. I have those two things. I think it's 100% spot on. Absolutely. I've also used a different term. I just kind of started saying emotional maturity. Where you could be able to kind of control your emotions. You know, it's coaches and his players both knowing that you're gonna have some ups and downs than never, too. I never too low and But I do think intrinsic motivation. I do think guys that can handle change better. Um, I think having veteran quarterback better no line in the line. In some of those spots in your leadership spots, I think will be a ah maybe a bigger factor in the mentality that a team has from week to week. You also you got you got a guy? I didn't know this that he just got there. Three weeks ago, I got no Colin schooler transferred into Ah double sign assigned this game Coach and and you're talking about folks. Colin schooler at Arizona. Is your leading Tackler for Tfl tackles for loss in active leader right now and all of FBS football. I think he's second in total tackles in his career amongst active players in the Hall of College football. He goes from Arizona to your squad just three weeks ago. Take us through that process and what you have gotten in your weak side linebacker in Colin's school or from Arizona. Now real simple and we've done this on purpose kind of the last couple years and held scholarships. We need to get old. You're a Texas Tech. Um Killed one more. Scholarship. Um, you know, and when he became available, it was a no brainer. We had played Arizona last year Game Plan D. Competed against him, watched him in our game. I did go back and watch the tape just to refresh my memory. But that was after I offered him a spot in our program. Because that was a real quick decision Any any time you could bring a guy in that.

Through all the people he's coached. He's done a great job teaching us not only to be great athletes, but also great human beings. Now it's my role. My responsibility. Keep doing those things to the kids. I'm teaching in quote by the pack to you in the head coach at Georgetown, where he is an alum. Let's bring in another llama Georgetown who became a big man in that legacy at the pattern you in lands of mourning. He is a fellow Harrington, who played for four years of Georgetown. You play in the NBA for more than 10 years, and now he's a Teamusa assistant coach. He joins us in a friendly Fitzsimmons, thanks to Shell Pennzoil Performance line. All the start the beginning. Your young man, you're being recruited by John Thompson. He shows up. What was that experience like? Ah, it was a pretty cool. I mean, No, no, no. Just think back. Just thinking back on it. You know, he gets other card, You know it. It's a rental car solely and Jackson in Jackson. So it's not just silly. You know, a big car, so we get out of this car. And, you know, he sits down and makes the cast looks so small from from the standpoint, you know, he makes the Catholic small by that may know something. Standpoint of his presence. In the in the in the room. I mean, it made the bloom even smaller. I remember talking to Dwayne Brian, you're talking about you. People don't know a fellows from Jackson, Mississippi, Dwayne Bryant from a point guard who was just right before you in the late eighties, you know, was out of New Orleans and Della Sal High school. Georgetown became his global brand. So just just just describe that moment when he's sitting on the couch. You're you're home in Jackson, Mississippi, and here is the head coach of Hoya Paranoia, right sitting right there in your living room. You know, my dream school, you know, you know I wanted to go there. You know, and just having dairy, you know happen Talkto my family and everything. Hopefully, the nightmare doesn't overtake the dream. I get the sense that was not the case with you Go into your dream school playing for John Thompson. What was it like knowing him as a coach and then becoming a mentor. We had a chance to be a Georgetown under him. It was great. I mean, selling somebody. I mean, there was It was hard. I mean, it was hard, You know, you come out high school and You know, everybody's telling you, you're You're this your grave everything, And then you get to Georgetown hit smack in the face. You know the work. You had to do what you know. From, you know, if you talk to anybody, you know one thing that you know, Coach coaches a teacher. He's always knows that I know that I'm not a cold first. I'm a teacher. You know, a teacher first on And he did, you know? He took Leopold, you know being being Ah! Forcing me to be a cannibal. But no patient patient and teaching me and Help me grow and understand and dealing with Bye phases will help me with my sales as well. A ce faras. The failures go. What did you learn from him? That you still maybe implement? Not even as a coach is your people? People don't know You're coach now. A fella, But just in your day to day life. What did you learn from Coach Thompson? You know what was funny? Coach, if you know anything. Coat code would call when we're practice Coach with a Yeah, I know what you did here. I mean, he knew what everybody get off campus with the city. You know, whatever. You know, he knows any knew what you did. And he would tell you about it The next day of practice. "Welcome to the electric circus known as Freddy and Fitz Simmons. Thank you very much. He's and Simmons I'm Freddie Coleman of the ESPN APP in serious except channel 80 stops by to hang out with us. They're here, thanks to Shell Pennzoil Performance line. So the MBA back on the court starting tomorrow three games on Saturday, three games on Sunday after the last 48 hours or so many conversations about will they or won't they? When it comes to the season? That's being a man who does a great job as an ESPN NBA front office insider. He has a menial Hason joining us here on Friday, and Fitz Simmons hit him on Twitter. At Darth mean before you get to the games being back on the court of mean I want to get your take on the last 48 hours. What word? A phrase used to describe the last 48 hours. And why Tumultuous. Uh, maybe another one unpredictable. Kemal took an unpredictable There's afraid. Ah, and it's because the reality is Freddy like A lot of people were asking me real time as this was happening, What is he going to do? And I said, You know a lot of times. People ask us way work in sports media, You know who's gonna win the game or what's gonna happen next. And we have educated guesses based on information available. In this case is that I don't know. And I'm pretty sure no one else knows because the players didn't really know everyone was kind of reacting real time. And so when you have this binary or the, you know, the Milwaukee Bucks Go to the arena with the intention to play that game, and then they have a conversation in the locker room and the decision comes for them to not play. But they're ready to accept the forfeit. So they don't really kind of involve anyone else, not conversation. And you see, the wimple effect of everything happened around that. Which is to say that, yeah, You know, when you're dealing with a situation like this, it's really hard to be able to explain things. About people who probably can explain it themselves and they're going through it. Tumultuous and, uh and and Unexplainable. Also goes. You are here. I haven't seen you in about a year. I mean, go ahead, man. Freddy could describe what he's looking at. Right now. I can't scribe salesman from from like 1978, right. So just to set of curiosity at what point does go light here before? Get back into the MBA. That look, man ofmy how far you gonna go with that dude? You go on, brother. I know what I don't know. It's a lot of it, to be honest with you. About I live in Arizona. We are one of the biggest corona virus hot spots in the world, not the country in the world. So you know, I look at every day that I know I live here as a risk Every time I leave my house to the wrist, only mods go get groceries. You know I'm with you. There you go there. You got a lot of like, Oh, aren't barbershop open in Arizona? Were you think I'm gonna trust because, like Barbara shall find the coronavirus. It seems like a ridiculous thing. If easy thing for me to avoid even I'm not going Everybody. Tell him what you're looking at me. He's got so much lettuce on is that he needs to be part of a salad bar. Let's put it that way. Way, you know, hasn't ESPN in front ofthe is inside of joining us here on Freddy of its seventh on ESPN Radio? Great Fall on Twitter at Darth Amine, Speaking of hair, LeBron James, I know he had his hair go further away from his head. After the reaction they had to him when it comes to the players where he leaves the room. He probably got a lot of players gonna follow in terms of boycotting the season thinking about it and placed it up and said, We're not going to do that. Based on reports. What are your thoughts on LeBron James? Maybe having his armor taking a dent because players are going to speak up more for themselves when it comes to what they want to do in the MBA. Well, I think they like to be here again. This is a situation that was very real time. It wasn't planned right on. As I understood it, LeBron got up and walked out of the meeting. He didn't walk out of the teeth. He just said the hell with this. I'm going because he was upset. Part of the reason they were upset. It wasn't just him was the idea again. But the box unilaterally made this decision without consulting union leadership when you're in the union You have to be unified. You have that speak with a single voice, because that's where your strength emanates from once you become splintered interaction. That's to say that the owners would take advantage of it in this scenario, but in general, it just makes it a lot, Messier and so LeBron thing is once you take this step You know, he felt I guess at the time you have all the way you can't have stepped, right. You know, you can't threaten to do it and then not do it because then the threats every further threat loses. Then in with the guy from the last time they pretended like they weren't gonna play that a good place. I'm a Zai understand it, And I know Chris Haynes did an excellent job reporting on the thought processes of LeBron in the conversations in that room. You know, Having said that I spoke to people who were privy to a conversation in the bubble that night, and what they told me was this. There was two main points, many point number 11. Superstar's overwhelmingly across the board were for not playing. And the people were for playing where the role players the rank of file guys, which makes sense, because LeBron James Harden with what they have hundreds of millions of dollars they done that they could never play again and there The families and.

Boston - Bill Belichick's first practice impression of Cam Newton: 'He's a hard-working kid'

"Howard things in Foxboro know Tom Brady anymore for Bill Belichick, but he does have Cam Newton Maze All Walker's a lot. Information's been transferred to all the players. And he's worked very hard to say it's all our players have. We have, you know, hard working group not said certainly for all the quarterbacks at that position. Those guys have been locked in that focused work extremely hard. All four of them cans hardworking kid He really is in Fitz Simmons. Freddie Coleman, take a look at that relationship for coach Bell, checking his New quarterback Cam Newton camp is all about showing people that his time in the sun is still going to be there, not just being a quarterback in the NFL but a successful quarterback in the NFL, and if he's able to do that would build Bella check. Bill better does not need to send that guy a message saying you have to compete because I get the sense that this is exactly what Campbell wants to show people that he can't compete. He will compete and win this job. I think it's more than likely. That he's going to be the starting quarterback. But that Jared Stanton guy is not just going to give it to him. And I'm sure that a guy like Cam new knowing that this is potentially his last shot to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. He better realize that and if he does, that's not only going to be good for him. It is going to be really good for his dad calling camp doing the kid Bill Bill, check the coach of the Patriots. You tell me right now where Bill Belichick is a Sfar starting quarterback goes He's not bringing up everybody else's name, you know, especially stadium. Every time he posed the question about Cam Newton. It's for a purpose. Sending a message to camp. Save your job. You have to earn it. And right now, if you asked me that 60 40 cam is a

Toronto Blue Jays to play majority of 2020 home games in New York

"Last night at the Ronald Bluejays, where a major league baseball team without a home in terms of playing home games at a stadium on Friday, they found out they're going to play majority. The home games of Bubble New York, home of the team's Triple A affiliate, the Buffalo Bison's Anthony's Breakers, the GM the Buffalo Bison's can't wait to hear his take on this, as he joins Thank to show a pencil performance line. Anthony plane, but we believe that it's a Ronald Blue Jays would not become wards of Major League baseball when it comes out having any home games. But for those who don't know about your stadium where they're going to play What can this state and really do, even though it's a minor league field, but a major league team's about to play on it. Well, guys, thanks for having me on and it's Ah, it's a thrilled to be hosting the Blue Jays. That's assailant field, and you know everybody in Buffalo kind of nose and in the minor league baseball circuit that Our ballpark in is the biggest and minor league baseball seating capacity wise. Back 1988. It was built to become a major league ballpark and You know, thanks to a kind of that ability, you know, we we've got the space and the infrastructure to do the best we can, and probably best that any minor league team to be ready for a major team coming in to take care of them. What kind of changes to the specs of that yard have to be made, if any, to be able to host a major league baseball game. Yeah. I mean, there's there's certainly Ah, few things overcome here in a short period of time, But you know, we're confident we can do it. But you know, some of the things lighting has been has been talked about. As ah, major obstacle, but we feel we're going to be able to do that with some plans. We're gonna have some portable lights brought in and ever bulbs changed out. As well to sew. The TV games will be have no problem saying in the game and you know, a little bit of the clubhouse is well, it's you've seen, you know, with the social distancing Fenway model. Everybody's kind of calling it. And having teams in the suites were considering that looking at all the different avenues in the ballpark where weaken socially distance players and him a good home. Keep him safe, but also give him a nice place. To be inside of ballpark alone will be certainly a little unique. But you know, it's a majorly style ballpark. It's our facilities. Fantastic, the actual game on the field. I won't miss a beat will be ready. Anthony spread that you know, the Buffalo Bison's Their home field is going to be the home for the Toronto Bluejays in Major league baseball. This 2020 joining Freddie Coleman and if it's Simmons on Freddy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN radio. I'm glad you mentioned exactly that. It's a pretty neat thing to have this. I know fans won't be able to be allowed into the stadium. But what does this really mean? For the city of Buffalo having it's around a Blue Jays, calling that city their home for 2020 I mean, it's it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. I think for all of us so we can come forward on this and host Ah Major league team here. I mean, we're the support we're getting from our local politicians. Byron Brown has been fantastic. Governor Cuomo has been a huge help in this old saying, Mark pulling cars are your county executive has Has really helped us. They've come and said Look any help you guys need We're here. We're helpful. Every one of our partners through this Even before we knew that they were coming. Everyone is excited about this. How can we help you help? What can we dio? You know, Buffalo, the city of good neighbors, and it is truly going toe. We're gonna show that everybody everyone's gonna pitch in. Everyone's going to do their part, and you know whenever that time comes, I know it's a little up in the air, exactly the first game that's going to be here. We're going to be ready and it's going to be really put Buffalo on the national map on the international map, too, because you know the J's are Canadians, the country's team. And I think everybody not just in buffalo, but in New York state is goingto see what What? Buffalo Khun D'oh. Anthony, What has this been like for you personally, You haven't been the GM there very long. You've been in the organisation for. I think close to two decades if I'm not mistaken, but you haven't been a GM very long. What is this? Hold? This is the last 4.5 months been like for you personally. You know, you have been with the bisons for a long time. Um, but yeah, only was ah named G. M a few days before everything shut down. Due to the pandemic, so I probably you know, in a few years, I'll realize how crazy this was. But it's just been one crazy step after another that every change everyday every week has felt like a year in a time capsule pretty much that I can't even really read my head around. What's what's been going on. And, um, you know, I've had so many different moving targets from you know, the starting our season to the PBA agreement was Major League baseball, Tio. Mark seasons canceled and the Jays they're gonna come. They're not going to come. They're going to play in Toronto. There, not going. I mean, they had so many twists and turns that it's hard to keep track of, Um And I probably don't realize how crazy it really has been until I go through a normal season GM but it has been AH, It's really been a whirlwind of emotions. And you know, I'm kind of left now with just Ah, whole lot of excitement that that we're going to get those that Toronto bluejays. Anthony sprayed the June that Buffalo Bison's

"Don't forget to tell your smart speaker to play ESPN radio, so this report came down to 6 30 Eastern time. According to The Washington Post 15 women who previously worked for the Washington Redskins organization, they have alleged sexual harassment and verbal abuse by former scouts and members of owner Daniel Snyder in the circle. That's what they reported on Thursday among those accused of misconduct. A former director of a pro personal Alex Santos and former assistant director of pro personal Richmond and second As well as radio play by play announcer Larry Michael. All three of those gentlemen left the organization in the past week. I'm going to get to what will the NFL do? Or what will the NFL say? I'll get to that at the Riley in Houston has something to say about this. Triple eight. Say ESPN 8887293776 Riley, what you got Hey, So I heard you talking about kind of the ID on what was going on and how there was kind of the missing pieces as there always is, with these kind of legal issues. I've previously worked in labor and employment as a law clerk. And one thing that they talk about a lot is how performance improvement plans are used for these type of employees. Has a way of kind of saying either. If you don't if you tell on us, we're gonna fire you on their way, easily pushing people out. I was curious if there were any record of that, or if that was something that it's kind of been looked into Well, that's a good question. Number one Riley in Houston. Thank you for the phone call number one great question by you, according to the Washington Post report. I haven't seen anything specific in terms ofthe holding performances over people's heads or using whatever whatever kind of intimidation tactic they were going to use to make sure that people were not going to say anything. I just find it very, very strange. That something like this went on for 13 years. And the owner of the football team didn't know about it. Even though his name was not named in the report. By the way, one of those scouts was fries this week's Santos. He was accused by six former employees and two reporters who covered the team of commenting about their bodies. And making unwelcome overtures. That's according to the post, so basically as far as I'm concerned Everything's on the table with what was going on with the culture of Washington from 2006 through 2019. Also those very interesting, Ron Rivera said, And I quote Dan Snyder brought me here to change culture and create an environment of inclusion among employees. I believe everyone that works for this franchise has a vested interest in our success in quote Ron River would not put himself out there and use dance night. His name. So let people know exactly well, I don't know what I was getting into. Based on that statement, Ron Rivera knew what he was getting into. I need you to come here to be the new head coach of washing Redskins, and I need you to change this culture and create an environment of inclusion among employees. That sounds like a loaded statement that Dan Snyder knew something was going on. That dance night and knew something was not exactly right under his watch, being only the national of the National Ball League Washington football team, The fact that he was not named in that report. That statement by Ron Rivera tells us all we need to know honestly. So whatever they were using from intimidation to make sure people going to be quiet and people going to stay quiet as far as I'm concerned, everything was on the table, but noticeably for one second. That dance night. I didn't know anything. That Bruce Allen when he works with general manager didn't know anything throughout 13 years, Not one thing. Come on now. I'm Freddie Coleman on Freddy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio, ESPN app and serious tax on Channel 80. Keep weighing in on Twitter at Coleman, ESPN like truth cures all who says since dance, not it does not know. Sector harassment was going on this team within 13 years. He does not know how to put together a team and does not know how to build a respectable or winning culture. What's the NFL doing here? The NFL commissioner can't sleep on this. I'm glad truth, cures all you brought up the National Football League. Because how much should they get involved with this? In my opinion, they can't stand on the outside of this NFL when plenty know that your track record when it comes, the women is awful as a National Football league waiting for someone else to do something in this situation to me is a bad, bad look and not just for Washington. Adam Schefter, speaking of the NFL. Adam Schefter, ESPN NFL insider he talked about the discipline could happen towards Washington, the NFL, but it's also on Washington going forward to make sure this does not happen again. The NFL is going to need to act on this and again, I would think that the Redskins is an organization will be subject to disappoint. This is something that doesn't reflect well on the NFL. It would not surprise me if there were discipline involved here, fine involved here. But it goes beyond that. At this point time it goes to making fundamental changes that are required in our society. Of things that are completely unacceptable that have gone on allegedly in their organization from these various individuals, and so this is off to that organization, too. Clean this up and get that right now. You know what the NFL decides to do is you're gonna make anyone feel better still be takes away. A draft pick will find the team or I mean, OK, the league can and probably will do something along those lines. But the fact that matter is this is unacceptable behavior and this has to be corrected. And if you're the National Football League, don't let somebody else do your discipline. Don't let somebody else do your investigation. You're the NFL. How many times have we heard from Roger Goodell and plenty of NFL owners? Make sure this shield is protected. They always throw that at players. They always throw that at fans. They very really throw that at owners and teams will now you got a perfect opportunity. If you're the National Football League, the other owners and Roger Goodell's a commission to say you know what Washington you were terrible protecting shield for 13 years, according to this report. We're not just going to stand by. Let somebody else investigate. You were going to get our hands dirty to see how dirty you were towards women in the workplace when it comes to Washington..

"Will be played on July 24th including the first game of the Rangers knew global I field against the Rockies over the 60 game regular season teams are going to play, therefore divisional opponents 10 times each. The other 20 games are going to be against interleague opponents in the same geographical area gets called upon. Once we thought we'd be talking a lot this morning about Major League baseball, unveiling their schedule in some of the great Games, including the Nats, the Yankees going out on opening day, with Garrett Cole being unleashed. As the member of the New York Yankees. But instead we're continuing to talk about the process that led us to baseball of being the last of these big sports to try and figure out a way to come back amidst a pandemic, and it continues to be a problem. The Nationals had to shut down their plan summer practice today because of a spate of tests. They're still waiting on results from they haven't gotten them back. They took test a couple of days ago. They still haven't gotten the results back. Major League Baseball in part, said. That's because of the Fourth of July holiday you and I both said, that's ridiculous. You have to factor that into this and know that that holiday was going to be around there when you're trying to get this thing back, and then there's Kris Bryant of the Cubs, who basically just said What's going on, he said. Quote. We agreed to what we agreed to was testing every day. We've had guys here that showed every other day every other day. Excuse me. We've had guys here that showed up on Sunday and God tested against seven days later and then you don't get the results for two days, either. So that's nine days without knowing and I think we really wanted this to succeed. We have to figure this out. I wanted to play this year because I felt that I would be safe and I would feel comfortable. But honestly, I don't really feel that way. So baseball is just figuring out another way to create another problems that are finding a way to create a solution. So baseball address the testing delays in a statement they put out yesterday. Saying results from 98% of the samples taken from June 27th July 3rd have been reported as of Sunday night. 86 samples of the 3740 remaining pending as of Monday, Quote. Our plan required extensive delivery and shipping services, including proactive special accommodations to account for the holiday weekend. The vast majority of those deliveries occurred without incident and allowed the protocols to function as planned. Unfortunately, Several situation included unforseen delays. We have addressed the delays caused by the holiday weekend and do not expect a recurrence. Now, unfortunately for Major league Baseball, this, as Chris pointed pointed out, is the easy part. Like it gets a lot harder on Chris Brian echoed this more in his statement. They've got to start traveling. What? They've got to start doing the normal course ofthe game play. When the regular season like this lead up to it, and this ramp up in the testing involved in it is going to be as easy as it's going to get. So 98% might get you in a plus in most classes, But unfortunately in this instance when you've got a bunch of players that are already feeling scorned, coming off the negotiation that you bought guys both had publicly And getting ready to go out there and be the ones to shoulder the risk in all of this. You could understand why 98% is, unfortunately, not going to be something tolerable right now. Yeah. The whole thing in Mark Teixeira said it best Thea the night on Friday and Fitz Simmons, he said. It's like we should have been figuring how to play the pandemic. Instead, we were bickering about money, and that sort of wet. Feels like right now is we're seeing a lot of holes in the way this plan is supposed to be proceeding. I wear this statement out. But I firmly believe it. Trust is gained and drops and lost in buckets and you had the bucket just spilling around everywhere for the last few months. As Major League baseball and the Players Association publicly strangled each other. And so now you need a lot of those drops to start to trickle in, and they're vitally because the subject is not just gameplay. It's now health and safety. It's the thing that we have you as you pointed out with tax Pushed around and pushed to the side for so long and all this that's now at the forefront, So you need big drops of trust. When it comes to this, and you need them to start to accumulate fast. There can be no more Mrs with all of this because players are heightened in their sense of awareness for that right now and understandably so because it's their health and safety. It's the thing that's the most risk in all this. Yeah, and we'll see if they can figure that out going forward are we've talked about Dak Prescott and Shawn Watson and how they should feel in relation to the Patrick Mahomes deal. But what about Lamar Jackson? And is that the more reasonable conversation in terms of the next contract? We'll talk about that. After this after this word from Pennzoil. Here's a fact..

They're feeling is a bit more skeptical. baseball do the right thing mandate it the next time a squad goes on the road for more than a four five day stretch which is beyond common especially in the dog days of summer put that damn netting up automobiles are made in less time than some of these teams go on road trips then it would take for you in a few engineers to put the nets up it's not that difficult infancy old school guys hell with you if you think it's gonna deal in inflict on the tradition of baseball would if that's your granddaughter or your gods grandson how would you feel then so all you old school baseball folks shut day hell up and deal with the nets because guess what the old school hockey guys they don't even see the netting anymore why because you got used to it in too because you kids are safe here's my answer to why it's taken this long when it comes to major league baseball major league baseball is hoping this goes away they're hoping that no more incidents are going to happen and that the outcry people beating the drum for this wanting netting and major league baseball that won't be as loud and ethel sippers as we've heard especially ever since may twenty ninth when that happened in that game between the cubs and the houston astros major league baseball is hoping okay man this was terrible this was awful but we don't want to ellie nate bills that don't want the nets up we don't wanna alienate the old heads that don't want the nets out there that it's going to get in the way of the entertainment and also the baseball experience they're hoping that nothing else happens they are wishing in my opinion that nothing else happens so they can let it die down but enough time passed between anything else and then this will no longer be something that'll be against major league baseball to your point what is it going to take before they finally come to their senses is going to take an even bigger tragedy what happened to you all and we're all grown folks here you know exactly what i'm talking about it shouldn't have to get to that point when it comes to major league baseball but when you bid corporation they are and you make billions and billions of dollars if you're worried that this will take away from that potential money line and fan experience you're hoping that enough time is going the path that this will slowly but surely go away Major league baseball. following the recommendations from them by the start of the twenty eighteen season all thirty teams that expanded their netting to at least the far ends of the dugout fans have been injured by foul balls in twenty seventeen earlier this month m._l._b. commissioner rob manfred reacting to the incident in houston said he didn't expect teams to make changes to the netting around ballpark during the season some teams are going ahead and doing it on their own

"According to our Adam Schefter earlier on ESPN radio on Freddie and Fitz. Simmons Jonathan Jones from EM QB Jackson going back to Philadelphia chip Kelly was the reason that he was Jeter said down there. Tampa bay. Great. Thrower. Carson Wiggs does a one of the things that the Sean Jackson needs for the quarterback. And I think that's gotta be a fantastic marriage. That. Jacksonville back to the AFC tidal. Dave. Gets shot down there. They have a great defense and things really fell apart. There's a lot of ego down there and it didn't help when the offense for not taking care of their side of the ball. And so he did. What should have been shot to to win the AFC south on? Scrape? There's no doubt about it. Very much back in the staff. They have a competent starting quarterback. What is a really good fit for Levy on bell? At this point in time. If you have a list of fifteen FREDDY novel, wait. Really since the end of the season against. You know that it just seems like the jets. You have to have a lot of caf- days because it's difficult to spend that money of running back in today's NFL when you can get a quality guy separate in the third and fourth tracks, right? You have to go to a team that in the NFL intestate. Yeah. The jets I think in the top story, you know, they have a quarterback on deal because you don't want it. Days into the backfield Wicha quarterback Andrew running back though. The jets have that have their quarterback in standard you add this. That they have you know, when you when you look at the wide receivers ages Saturday crowded today to go with it. So that's the word that makes sense. I know it's not innovative. I know people say that. But it just seems like the jets away on Dell makes sense. Why don't the guys like guys like Landon cows and Odell Beckham junior anymore. I I don't know in college. So we'll have to see what the real time. Is really the real facts the first two or three years liquor those guarantees. I think that you know, there's nobody NFL when they sent a six year deal actually ended up seeing all six years ago. Still reports out there that the giants won trade one of the best wide receivers in the game today. If you're if the only out that I could give their own way than Collins is that there's such a glut of three of free agent safety is out there that he basically told him. Get fifteen percent. Less of Landon Collins fifty percent of the money. The only reason that's the only thing that I could see out there that would justify that. Okay. So it's it's really tough for the thing that makes it difficult for everyone. Of course, is that they're still paying you. This is a guy that they should cut ties with last year. If you're even with. You know, I I believe that they have to go out there and draft a quarterback. They're not gonna get what free agency Dwayne Askins that. He's there six they had to trade up. I know Dave Harold, and I know that you like to trade up. You make sure that that they can't not have a plan at quarterback past past April. Because it's it's getting ridiculous. Of course, the big quarterback news being that Nick foles is indeed out in the former eagles quarterback will get the four year deal. Eighty eight million in Jacksonville fifty million dollars in guaranteed money. That's the most in franchise history. Foles Jaguars top target during free agency in the contract. Clearly shows that earlier on the will Kane Joe Nick foles gives the Jacksonville Jaguars a window. I still believe that Jaguars defense can be one of the better ones in the NFL. And if you have that, and you have Nick foles, you have a chance we'll see if you can put weapons around him. We'll see if you have the receivers we'll see if you can get a healthy Leonard fournette to put behind him. But Nick foles is only thirty years old and we have seen quarterbacks last in this league up until they're thirty seven thirty eight. And if you're really good much later years of age in this league. Nick foles is a good gamble for the Jacksonville Jaguars. And at twenty two million dollars a year. That's the price you pay. Like, we also changes the draft board in the first round. Even if Dwayne Haskins was to slip to number seven. Speaking of the eagles, they acquired Sean Jackson from the buccaneers. Tyron Matthew will join the chiefs. It's a three year forty two million dollar deal. Matthew twenty six years old joined the Houston Texans on one year deal something we haven't seen in the NBA since nineteen ninety four. That's next DSP in radio. In Russell, Westbrook fans. And I'm sure that you'll get five or six different things happening. He's got to understand that there's going to be some times where fans are gonna be on Adam and him screaming back. That's a no win situation. Sportscenter allnight..
