"Case so today. We're talking about overwhelm. Why you're overwhelmed in your fitness business now. I'm overwhelmed with something that i'm extremely familiar with because i when i was building my coaching. Business you guys. This is back in two thousand and seventeen. Sixteen in my business started to grow rapidly. I think my business almost grew faster than i knew how to keep up with. Because i started online coaching when i was like twenty two twenty three years old and when i started growing and gaining clients unlike like acquiring more people in my coaching business. It's almost like i had to learn how to figure out how to run the business while acquiring these clients and my business grew a lot faster than i was used to. My business grew a lot faster than i could handle. Frankly so i remember at the peak of my online coaching career. When i really started to get overwhelmed is when it had fifty one on one on fitness. Coaching clients. I also had six trainers that working for me. I started nation. This is an exaggeration. You guys when. I was working my coaching business. I would wake up at six. Am and i would start working on my coaching business like replying the dmz applying instagram dmz etc etc. And i wouldn't stop working on my on their business until nine pm every day and the only breaks that i would take is like an hour to work out at the gym. Put our jim vilma fucking phone the whole time texting by our break at the gym and then outbreak to eat food but even while i was eating food i was always working. So if i wasn't working on my own clients than i had seven trainers that i was mentoring and they each had ten twenty thirty clients and i was running team meetings and it was like you know it was a lot and so the peak of my overwhelming i. Obviously my goal isn't to get you guys there. But i wanna make you aware of what happens if you don't get a handle on it. The peak of my overwhelm was win. I there was one day. I remember my business. My business partner cole. Remember this there was one day. I woke up and i looked at my phone and i was like. I can't do this anymore. I can't look at my phone anymore. i'm completely done. I remember calling my business partner. I'm like i'm done. I'm not working for an entire week. He's like what he's like. You got fifty clients. I know i was like i. Can't i looking literally looking at my phone. Gave me anxiety like looking at my phone. As soon as i looked at my phone instantly panic like just talking about anxiety. Like i don't know how many of you guys have ever had a panic attack before looking at my phone straight up gave me a panic attack like i was like freaking out like heart was beating faster like i couldn't handle it anymore so after six weeks straight of working from six am to nine pm like fucking done. I'm not doing this anymore. Like i can no longer take this. I'm sick of it i'm done. I'm exhausted. It's over so i just didn't work for literally week. And at the end of that week. I ended up realizing that. I'd taken way too much on my plate and this was when i decided to fold all of my clients i literally had fifty one on. I finished clients. I fired all of them and just mentioned my trainers for five months and that was literally the start. pt dot. because after i fired all my clients i was just mentoring. My athletic trainers and i did that for a period of like five six months and then after mentoring transfer five or six months i finally realized. Why don't i just do this instead. So i decided to start. Pd domination anyways so. Let's talk about overwhelm. Let's talk about over one. Because once i made this mistake once and i like overwhelm to the point of having a panic attack and crashing and not being able to work. Money money now honestly guys. This weekend was crazy. I spent the last forty eight hours. Basically coming through seventy five people who applied for the mastermind and to be honest. So i run a program called the tinky. Coaching academy which basically allen coaches get to ten thousand dollars. A month held over. One hundred coaches gets ten k. Once coaches are like around five to ten thousand dollars a month. I have an option for an upgrade to the ten k. mastermind taking masterminds a program where work with students one on one and i held them like take their businesses to like ten to twenty to thirty thousand dollars a month so basically make more money now this last weekend i literally spent twenty four to forty eight hours combing through seventy five people who submitted applications and videos for this mastermind. It was really cool because in the mastermind. We do give you the blueprint in order to make more money. And we give you the blueprint for success for fitness coaches. We give you the blueprint scale. You're on my business and it's a one on one experience and so it was a lot. And i still got a lot of applications to go through like thin. Get through all of them but getting this like going through these applications and going through these students and figuring out who's the best fit for the program. Got me thinking about this idea of money. And i wanted to come into the fucking week and talk about money because i think that this word has suber negative connotation like the dirty dirty word. It's like money. It's like a lot of a lot of people how to have a lot of negative conditioning around the word money and money is that one thing that i feel like everybody hates but then they also need like nobody likes likes to talk about it. Everybody's like oh don't talk like just like politics like oh don't talk about my making money. Don't talk about politics. I don't talk about religion. it's one of those things that you're like quote unquote not supposed to talk about. But it's one of those things that like you need in order to live if we think about the relationship that most people have of money. It's actually pretty fucked up like a lot of people are like money is the root of all evil but like some people are like money's the root of all evil but like money's also the thing that you used to buy your daughter's school supplies so that she can go to school and get an education like money's the root of all evil but money's also the tool that you use to buy the food that goes on your table to feed yourself so it's like money doesn't make you happy but like money buys the roof that you put over your head right now and money buys the phone that you're listening to on this too right now so like you know what i mean. It's like money doesn't make you happy. But money provides a lot of the things right so it's like a lot of people have this like super negative like toxic relationship with money where they know that they wanna make more of it but they don't wanna talk about it but they have ambitions of making more money but they're like they feel guilty about it but they really wanna make more money but they feel like money doesn't grow on trees. It's like there's a lot of like you understand what i'm saying. A lot of people have a lot of fucked up beliefs around money. Just like dirty word my question for you on my coaches tuning in this episode right now is like what is your current relationship with money. Like i want you to think about per second when i say the word money. How do you feel when. I say the word money. What's the first thing that comes to your mind like owing to think about this idea for a second i was talking about my was talking therapist about this. We were talking about the relationship that people have with money. Like i want you to think about this second. I want you to imagine that you like write a letter to money by. You're writing a letter to money. Beauty right like deer money. You write a letter to money. What would that letter say. It's an interesting thought right. Like what was it. Would that letter say like fuck you like. You never come to me. Like i'm always broke. And like i hate you and like you're the cause of all my stress right or would it be like your the root of all evil. What was that letter. Actually save wrote a letter to money. Like what would it say. It's an interesting thought anyway. So i wanna talk about like building your business because let's talk about as your business grows and you start to acquire more income like most trainers that. Come into to come into the game and one started on my fitness business. Had these big aspirations and they wanna make ten thousand dollars a month and the honest truth is that if you wanna make ten thousand dollars a month as an online trainer i actually mean this. Anyone can fucking do it like anyone. It doesn't matter how big of a phone you have like. I have a client him. John wheel who has fourteen hundred followers. She's making sixteen thousand dollars. A month doesn't matter as one of my clients. Don lamb is he's got two thousand followers and he's making one hundred twenty five thousand dollars a month so when it comes to making money like i really do mean like if you're on i finished coach. Anyone can make ten thousand dollars a month. And that's the honest truth but most people block themselves from being able to make that type of money because people have a lot of super weird beliefs around

God Yeah, this woman Oh, She's a soulcycle instructor, and she basically went on Instagram and made this whole big deal about how she was getting her vaccine because she's in quote unquote educator. And so everybody was like, Whoa, Buck you are you teach spin class. You are not an educator, and she basically jumped the line, and now she's apologize because she got so much backlash. It's also been interesting admirable just to see how many people who are in the fitness role. How they have adjusted in in the pandemic age. I saw all kinds of people trying different stuff last year. And some things work out and some things. Don't just like a lot of stuff in life but as it goes for this idea actually made some detailed notes for myself here because i thought it was interesting. I also think you know just to be transparent as always like. It's no small challenge to do this. Well so i wrote in the description for this episode you know can a fitness coach us tiktok to create instructional videos. Will of course like almost certainly can he make money from such a thing. Maybe that's the key point. I would say if if if you are going to make money with it like. Here's what needs to happen like for this to actually take off whether it is talk. Instagram or something else number one. You know amazing content which is easier said than done of course the quality bar is really high these days which creates a better user experience. It encourages all of us to work harder. But i think especially with tiktok videos because such a younger generations so many millions of users around the world people are growing up doing this natively. You have to have something. That's really really good. Second you need amazing morality or you need something that really spreads right because lots of good content doesn't spread. You need something that is popular right. You need something that is popular that comment worthy that people want to to tell their friends about and of course lots of folks on tiktok to you that really well but it's not something you can just snap your fingers in half so amazing content amazing morality or at least let's say really good variety and then number three and actual monetization plan that connects the free videos. The ones that spread violate with a relevant way to get paid. Any one of these. Three things is hard to do well. But you'll need to do all three okay. And that said it's not impossible like obviously some people are doing this and i find it inspiring myself but even more valuable than whatever they're paid whether it's through those paypal donations or something else is those huge numbers of followers. Some of these people are able to reach it really is just tremendous. It's a whole new world. i would say also a final comment. They're like try to do anything you can to get those followers to connect with you on multiple platforms right so to use the eggs baskets analogy. You wouldn't want all your eggs in the tiktok basket or the instagram basquiat or any other technology platform. And then just briefly on that last point about the actual monetization plan that connects the free videos. That spread byerly. All i mean there is like there has to be some logical extension whether it is like. Hey all this content is free. Click here to donate. That's probably the most basic and easy and obvious when there could be something else as well but you can't approach new technology and new communication networks with old strategies and always expect the same results and the people are successful are often the ones who are able to adapt. How to Know Exactly What to Work on in 2021
"One of the biggest mistakes i've done in the past and i've seen a lot of entrepreneurs do is if they have too many goals right they try to achieve too many things and therefore they don't know what to work on. They don't know what takes priority. They say that everything's important. We want to have a bigger market. Share we wanna grow more customers. We want to be more profitable. You wanna have more revenue. We wanna lower costs. They want more free time. They won't more Autonomy they want to hire more people they say all the stuff we wanna do all and this is what makes it difficult to choose what to work on because certain things will help you which one of these goals. But the things won't this makes it difficult for you to know what to work on. Because you don't know what takes precedent what resources you need to spend or us on tasks or projects. It can get really overwhelming. So i want to challenge you as we start this year to reevaluate. What your goal is for this year. A want you to choose one goal one focus for the entire year. I mentioned this before. This is something. I learned from. Noah kagan who was employee thirty facebook and he learned this from mark zuckerberg and facebook. They have a singular goal. Now that goal may change from one year to the next before the year. that's all they focus on one singular goal for them. It was growth for them. When noah was there as employees thirty it was getting as many users on the platform. Now what's great about. This is that any time they make a decision what to work on the just have to ask the question. Does it help achieve their singular goal. If it does they do if they don't they don't now of course it's going to be a lot of gray area in between we'll talk about that in a moment how to evaluate. What are things will get closer to that goal or not but none of this is possible if we have too many goals and it's a lot easier if you just choose one goal now this is where the fun part comes. You get to choose what you want from this year. No remember next year you can choose a different goal but just choose one. What is the one thing that if you achieved it would make twenty two one success for your business. Maybe you want to take home on more profitable. So profitability is our goal maybe actually your array profitable and you're really happy with that level profitability. And now you wanna make your goal reaching more people so growth. If you're let's say your fitness coach you want to double the amount of people impact now as you could see. I'm choosing goals. That are quite broad but at the same time they're specific to a certain outcome so be careful. Don't choose things like. I want to improve my blog. Well why do you want to prove was wrong with the right now. Well i wanted to be like this. Why do you want it to be like this. Well i wanna attract new customers. What's the point of attracting new customers. While i want them to convert wanna grow my customer base so is growth customer growth. Really what you're looking for. That's really the goal because Improving your blog is a task right. It's one of the tasks you my focus on this year to help you with growth but really improving. The blog has an end goal. Really go deep. What's the end goal. So now that we have one goal one focus for the year We make that a big bold statement. This is what we're shooting for. Okay now there's a ton of things you can do to achieve a particular goal. Let's say for example We're gonna use facebook's growth goal. They want to bring in as many users as many customers as possible. They have users because they don't really sell a product they sell advertising. But the point here is that. Let's say you're trying to bring in as many customers as possible now. Remember if that's the goal you're willing to do things to achieve that goal meaning may be lowering your prices to get more customers or running more sales or more offers or doing partnerships or spending money on marketing. See the point here by something. Are you going to spend something to get that ultimate goal so your goals growth. Let's say what are the things that you can do this year in your business to help grow your usery's to bring more customers in one of those things might be. I wanna start a youtube channel. One could be. I want to create a free course on my website so people can opt in get on my email list and convert them into customers in other one might be marketing campaign. Where i'm gonna do weekly deals on my products and services another might be. I'm gonna launch an affiliate program. So i can get to bring in customers for me so these are just a list of projects that you can just do a brain dump in document the title. Today is lessons. What do you work on. But we're really specifically. What are you work on now. Next all that kind of stuff. So i'm gonna tell you what year do with this list if you have a team and if your soul preneurs let's start with team and this is a concept that we borrowed from the people at basecamp jason freed and david hammer hanson or the team members ryan singer wrote a book cults shape up a highly recommended if you're in the software business but it's their way to decide what to work on to improve the product product management but the concepts in there can be applied to any business and while it console wanna share with you today. They'll help you choose. Is this idea of pitching and betting ideas. So for example i wore ninja. We have a goal and we have a list of ideas of ways. We can achieve duggal new features new initiatives all that kind of stuff and people in the management team are responsible for creating a pitch for each idea. So each of us will take on two or three pitches. What does the pitch. It's basically a message aka document Inside a base camp that just really advocates for why we should do this task why we should take on this project so for example somebody might say you know if we want to grow our customers. We have free plan. So they'll you know right up a few paragraphs put some thoughts. Maybe some sketches and say you know what this is why. I think we should work on the free plan I or next. And everybody will do their pitches and will throw them into basecamp which is a project management tool and we'll all read these pictures and then one day we meet together on a video call and we do what's called. The betting table is what they call in shape the bedding table and allows us to bet we get to our for what we should and should not do as a team we collectively say you know what these tasks are the most effective things we can do to get a sore goal and in this exercise as a team we discover which things we should do first second third throughout the year. Because we're gonna work on the things that were going to move the needle. The most i now even if you don't have a team maybe it's just you. Maybe your solar moore. You can still. Do you. Still write down your ideas. Ri- some details about these ideas. Why you think they can help your business. This exercise of advocating for this idea and writing it out. It's not just for fun okay. It's not just to go through the procedure by writing things out it forces you to really think about. Is this really something that's going to help. Not just on the surface ideas on the surface. All seem all k. They seem like good ideas but often when we have to defend these ideas and explain why they can really allow us to achieve our goals or our singular goal. In this case we start to realize Maybe there are other things that are better to do. Maybe not as an effective ideas. I thought it was. Or maybe it's a good idea but it's a nice to have not a must have so even if you are solar newark right down the reasons why these ideas should be implemented and then once we have all these pitches for yourself you can score each pitch from one to ten one. Being least effective and ten is most effective in terms of achieving your goal. This will allow you to at least have a rough way to kind of score each pitch and then order them based on how effective they can be to help you achieve We're looking to do year.

We have to have equitable relationships. And understanding that. "Been harder on introverts than it has been on extroverts. Half of introverts say they have felt much lonely or this year compared to just a third of extroverts. More than introverts have. Okay, So here's just a few Stat to go along with that. Okay. 55% of extroverts have done regular video calls with family and friends compared to 37% of introvert. I don't do a whole lot of that to you. Oh, zooming. Yeah. No, My college group of friends do it twice a week, I think. Well, that's Tuesdays in like Saturdays. I'm like, Oh, my gosh. I stopped after like the third one. I love them all. Don't get me wrong, but it was like they'd be on for more than an hour. I don't do it. I know us too. I do want every Wednesday. Oh, you Dogo with some girlfriends been going on for months. Wow! Since probably April or May. So every week I think I've only missed one week. Really? Yeah, That's because you feel obligated. Yeah, I know you You're stressing about out about making a phone call yesterday. I'm like you don't have to call them back, You know? Oh, I got to tell you something impressive. I did yesterday, but elegant, said that in a second, and I love the people who I'm on with, and I like catching up with them, and I like I'm just kind of like knowing. You know, it just keeps you connected. But I don't do that. That much with my family also extroverts much more likely to use social media to stay in touch with loved ones. Okay, only 63% compared to 51% of introverts. I don't stay in touch with anybody on social media. It's just not my It's not my thing I do with my sisters. My daughter will post a tattoo that she did. The most common our birthday parties, family vacations, graduations, funerals, trips with friends and weddings. So are you. Honestly, I I've been heaven, not a hard time. Yeah. How about you? Um, I've been having a hard time with I like Tio. I always have. My dad was this way I like to Do projects or start hobbies. Should I haven't been able to do that? I don't really ever master anything. I just get really jazzed about like I'm going to start taekwondo, or you know what I mean that I've done that before. You know, I'm gonna learn a language. Yeah. Oh, gosh. So true. Yeah, So anyway, it's just been rough because I feel sort of stagnant like I'm not making any Creative. There's nothing create what I like to be in place. I mean, this sounds like an introvert, but I'm not. I think what makes me no. Never sounds like an extrovert. Yeah, I'm sorry, Extroverts. But on stage I get to be somebody else. I'm not playing the part of me, which I play every day on the radio. Yeah. And why are you? Why do you think you're an introvert? I'd like to be alone. You lie quiet. I want it's not like having too many plans. It stresses me out. Yeah, I'd like to read. It's not like I It's not like I don't like people do like if I meet you at the state Fair or if you come up to me, you know, at a restaurant. I'm total. That's great. I have no problem with that. But if I am forced to maybe talk to somebody for and I don't know, I think I read people. I'm perceiving things when I'm talking to somebody well, and it makes me feel a little panicked because I can read what's going on below the surface a lot. Wow. I have a very good friend who does the same thing like she's always taking everyone's temperatures. Yeah, And then I'm adjusting because I'm a chameleon. So I'm like, Oh, my God, do they I think my outfit is weird. I mean, there's so many things going on in my head like Are they looking at it? Just FYI, on.

Starting to build traction in your business and you're starting to grow when your dream income matches your job income quit your fucking jaw. What have you guys holding onto these jobs you happen that trading gene were corporate job where your accounting whatever it is but you're telling yourself that you WANNA. Be Successful only coach you want to time you can't do it full time if you're working at another job and when you were on income matches the Income Aker job you need to quit because at that look your job is costing you money and energy that you'd be spending on your on my business. Why would we spend eight to twelve hours a day working for another person but we don't want to. Spend eight to twelve hours a day working on our own ambition I. Think it comes from lack of confidence I think comes from lack of belief I. think it comes from thinking that we're not gonNA make young when your dream income matches your job income, you need to quit your job and guys the last four or lesson that I'm going to. How NOT to get Discouraged After Getting MULTIPLE "No" Responses On Sales Calls
"Right so one of my clients message me recently. Actually this happened last week when my clients went over seven on his sales calls over seven so literally call after call after call. It was like he would ask them to enroll. They said no seven times in a row and I don't know how many of you guys have ever gotten on seven calls in a row begotten seven nose in a row but you can imagine how discouraged was after getting seventy dollars like he messaged me and he was like do like screw. This man like I'm so done with this. Bs like just another person. Say No to me on the phone. I just had another person said that they don't have the money. Everyone's broke February sucks. It's not a good month people. Just don't have the money right now. I just keep getting these broke ass people on the phone and so for me like I get it like I've been there so like I let them ramble and I'll just let 'em ramble and Rambo and Rambo but how like it sucked and then I was like dude. Okay okay enough like stop. I was like Bro. Like guaranteed guaranteed. You're saying something on these calls that's causing them to say no right guarantee. There's something that you're saying on these calls with potential prospects that's causing these people to say no and I absolutely guarantee that if we fix that problem in the process you're going to start to get some yeses so I made them role play with me amid him. Get on the phone and like sell me as a client and we role played where he was selling as a coach and I was pretending to be the client and we did. He was doing a few things that I talked about in a previous episodes. If you guys really want upper sales game and you'd want the practical step by step go watch three golden nuggets to your sales game but we fixed those things and on the next eight calls. He went eight for eight. So after going over seven and getting zero calls or zero sales and seven calls he went eight for eight and thirty six hundred dollars so guys. I want to give you guys three practical mind shifts three Paktika like absolute necessary mindset ships. That need to happen so that you guys never get discouraged on your sales calls because discouragement is the enemy of you growing success business. Like if you're like not book and cause because you're feeling sorry for yourself or people keep saying no like that is the enemy of your growing business. The first thing that you need to understand not to get discouraged on your sales calls is everyone is going to have an objection. So you need to expect objections. I think a lot of finished coaches. I think it'd be reasonable. Why do you guys are getting discouraged is because you just expect people to fall in your lap? Like I'm just GONNA get on a call with the client and they're just going to pay me the money. I'm just going to run through the script. And they're just GonNa pay me the money guys people are GonNa have objections. That's why they're stuck in their current situation. So if you understand that everyone's going to have an objection then you won't take it personally when they have an objection like Oh. I don't have the money like I kinda thought you were going to say that. So let's talk about it and then you have a conversation instead of saying like. Oh I don't have the money and you're like okay. You can go about it and I'll talk to you in like a week. People are going to have objections. So you have to expect that. Everyone's going to have an objection. Just come with that expectation and then be willing to have a conversation with them all right so key number one mindset shift that you guys need to understand if you guys are tuning in right. Now it'd take some notes. Write this down. People are going to have objections. Stop expecting people to fall in your lap. Everyone's going to have an objection. Okay all right. So the mindset number one people are going to have just like understand that okay mindset number two mindset shift number. Two guys need to go through in order to never get discouraged. On your sales calls is sales is a learnable. Skill sales is a learnable skill. I think that too many people take rejection. Personally I wanna Kinda hit you with this one and let me know if this kind of hits home for you. Have you ever gotten rejected on a call? And you just feel like you suck as a coach. Have you ever gotten rejected as calling you like on man? I suck at this if you guys are like that like somebody says not on the phone yourself. This sucks I suck at this as ever said that. I'm not good at sales. I've always been terrible sales. Getting a no on the phone doesn't mean you suck as a person getting a no on the phone. Means you're sale skills might suck straight up getting on. The phone doesn't mean you suck as a person getting in on the phone means you're sales skills might suck straight up. I just WanNa be straight with you guys. I don't WanNa be guys but let's talk about doing squats because we're all night coaches. We understand squats right. So do you guys remember the first time you did a squat like the first time ever walked into a gym and you got under the bar and you did a squat right do you remember how terrible terrible like the first time. I did like a full body so I was like terrible I do. I was horrible. I squad was terrible but the more that I went into the gym and the more that it had squats the better I got at them. I actually hired a personal trainer so I had an in person training for like a year and a half two years so that they can educate me on the proper form. Get better squats. He helped me improve my form and so the more that I practice the exercises that the personal trainer gave me right the more that I practice mobility in a form etc etc. The better my squad get guys. Sales is the exact same thing. If you're getting a no on the phone stopped crying and bitching about it and do something about it. Study sales sales is a learnable skill. You can get better over time. You will get better over time. If you don't get discouraged discouragment those the enemy of progress because you're GONNA get discouraged. Me Man Suck at this. I'm terrible at sales. Nobody says yes to me. Nobody has the money everyone's broke. That's like all bs all of it. People saying they don't have the money for your program as a signpost for me that your sales skills need work. Nobody has the money to hire finish coach. Somebody wants to take three hundred fifty dollars under the bank account and pay you for monthly service. Somebody wants to give you a thousand dollars for twelve week. Nobody wants that but if you practiced in the art of enrolling them into your program and you are good at getting people to say yes people will see ask because I want to commit to their goals. Sales is a learnable skill. Getting knows on the phone stopped crying about it and start doing something about it. Steady sales literally go to youtube and wash them Denmark videos if you go to youtube study. Dan Lock democracies sales wizard. He's an expert watch videos. You could watch them all day study sales. I'M GONNA start with my clients right now because I know a lot of my clients. Listen this if you're in my course right now and you're getting knows on the phone. This is the one you need to write down. I'M GONNA say it's slow to get every no is one step closer to yes. Every no is one step closer to yes straight up. I actually like it when people say no to me on the phone. It's weird like I actually like it. Maybe if I got seven or eight and relegate kind of Pissy but anyways I kinda like it when people say notably phone I actually do because when somebody says not me on the phone. That means that I'm one step closer to somebody saying yes. This is actually a game that we play my circle to my circle of close friends. That are all in the business like if one of us starts getting a bunch of knows on the phone. We always recycle that Bourbon factory. Where we're like every knows one step closer to yes guys. Although sales is a learnable skill people are still going to say no to you like even the best sales people in the world still get knows it happens and guys if you don't have the skin and for somebody saying no to you like you're just not in the right game. This isn't for you. Understanding that sales is a numbers game. And you can get better at sales. But you'll still get nose on the phone will allow you to improve your sales over time and get better and progressively move into the next call's enthusiasm. I think we can kill your sales game and kill your enrollment game is if you get into this mindset where you're like getting discouraged because you're on calls and people are saying no to you and then you start thinking yourself like on. Nobody has the money in Boban. Maybe I'M NOT CUT OUT FOR THIS. And then you get on the next call in the next call actually want to buy from you but because you're in such a negative head space you push them away right so every no is one step closer to yes is a mindset that will allow you to show up to calls with enthusiasm it will allow you to show up to potential calls with clients with like energy and enthusiasm because you know you. Just gotTa know. This might be yes. That's the way that I view it so I actually like when people say no to me every no is one step closer to yes. So if you're an online fitness coach this is like a great closing rate so a great closing rate is one and three calls. If you're closing one. Three calls absolutely phenomenal. If you've been on five caused and you've only close one you need to work on your sales game. You need to be closing one in every three calls or getting on if you're not you need some work to do you decide sales. Go Watch videos on YouTube. If you're under one and three you need to work on. Your sales gain a phenomenal closing rate. It's doing good if you're closing every single call you get on. You should probably increase your prices because that's saying like your program super high value and everyone's like Oh my God. I can't believe it's cheap. You should probably increase prices all right guys when you get. No I want you to get excited because every no is one step closer to a yes.

"For everybody who doesn't know who you are. Let's chat about that I. I know you're a marketing pro and you would like to help. People really overcome their overwhelm. Well I think that this introduction can't go without saying a little bit about where I started so I was born into a gold's gym like my mom went into contractions in the parking lot so it was like a legit like you know. Health and fitness has been part of my life since the very day that I was born. And so that's really where my start with? Health and fitness came in. And you know. Skip ahead to university thought. You know I'm GonNa get a career and writing and I'm going to write books and all this sort of stuff and you know at the end of my university degree. I was like okay. Where do I even start? And I started working at a gym because I was like there's no other fleece that I can really wrap my hands around that I wanna be at right away so I just started you know as a personal trainer and you know as life sort of evolved into what I do. Now it's really like a marriage of those two things. I really loved to help. People in the fitness industry. Find Their truth. What is there like authentic core of who they are and to make the marketing side of it? Really easy and simplify it so it can be like the heartbeat of their business. I love how you described audits. I think like at the core of it. That's something that we all start out into fitness seeking but like speaking truth finding your truth binding. What's authentic to you? That's so hard to do at a tangible level riot. Which is why. I'm so excited to dig into this with you so like what does speaking your truth really she. When you say those words to your clients what you really mean. Well I always liken it to. Let's picture like each one of us. We look into a mere every single day and we see the cracks of you know the different failures are different things that we feel like really challenged us and we see all of that stuff and sometimes it's hard to get past that and you know see beyond that and I think what speaking your truth is is really being able to look at all the pieces of Your Life Story. Your sweet spot what you love to do what you're meant to be doing serving people on this earth and how you communicate that so. I think that's sometimes where people get stuck as they're like. I'm not really sure what I'm good at well. First of all like I really truly believe that everybody is a magical Unicorn like yeah. Wrinkling glitter dust everywhere. And sometimes they just don't know where that is and what it is and I think that's what speaking your truth is about figuring out what that is and then putting it out there for everyone that desperately needs you. I love that because honestly like sometimes what your truth is are the parts of you that you've been keeping hidden for so long because you're afraid of you know it not being perceived in the way that you want it to be or people judging you for it so do you come up against obstacles out a lot with the clients that you work with. Yeah. I think that there's this factor out there that people are sometimes afraid to show up when it comes to putting themselves out there like I hear it all the time from health and fitness coaches. That they don't WanNa do. Facebook lives or they. They don't know what to put out there for Instagram's stories and definitely that can be a wall. If you're so in your head about what do I need to? You know portrayed other people when really it's just a a dialogue of like what makes you authentically you and I always think of it sort of as analogy of snapchat. There are certain things that I have this group of my snapchat called sisters which is like S. E. S. T. E. R. S. Which is like just my sister so anything I said to them. I'm not sending. It necessarily like my brother and everyone like it's like catered audience shred like things that I would share with them like. They know me best now. I'm not saying go and like you know your private snapchat. It's like you're gonNA send anyone but as sort of like kind of look at it from that filter like when Pete like People WanNa see the human side of you that you know like the funny stuff the stuff you screw up with the things that have like helped you become who you are so it's sort of like thinking about it that way like what's the stuff that you find like super funny or like ridiculous during the day and how are you putting that they're right. I think as you're talking I'm thinking about all of my favorite accounts that I follow and it is. It's all of this stupid shit that makes me laugh and makes me go. Oh my God me too like been there. I totally resonate with that like that. Is What people crave. But we're so afraid to show those parts of ourselves. I think in the me get angry because there's so many people out there doing what we're doing especially as a health coach fitness coach. There's millions of US right. So yeah that's it and I think yeah and I think that that's where I see. Fitness coaches get really caught up in their head is that they're like you know like here's me doing a workout. Here's a picture of what I eat for lunch. Totally stop trying to be perfect like the person that is struggling with finding fun and working out and trying to lose weight like you know what they'd rather see they would rather see you doing some sort of and maybe it's a workout. Maybe it's not like you know how is it? You like trying to get in those like maybe it's like extra steps or like what are some hacks to make sure. You're like hitting your fickle and then I wanna see like skinny drinks like show me like what sort of drink combinations can I have that are low calorie like it just relates on this much more? I think It's just such a more personal touch to like knowing your ideal customer and what they're thinking about really where the dialogue has to start one hundred percent. I remember like some of my most popular posts. Were like me in bed on Sunday. Night Mallon down on five guys. Burger and fries. You know. That's the real human shit that people WANNA see from you. And then they know that it's safe to talk to you about what they struggle with tone absolutely right so like tying speaking your truth back into marketing. Marketing is one of those things that I think a lot of people cringe about when they think about shifting online are starting an online brand or or even an in person brand really like you need market right. But it's like this big word. That sounds really scary. How do you explain what marketing really is or how you teach it your clients in a way that takes overwhelm away? Yeah I think marketing is actually just putting yourself in more of the right people like your ideal customers. That's all it is because I think people get caught up in like what's Algorithm doing and this and that and to be honest I think that's all a little bit of bullshit like I had this experience where I spent like three thousand dollars. I hired this The issue is actually in Serbia and she was like. Oh Yeah. I'll help you grow your instagram. And all that so I was like cool like that's what I need to do to like. Make more sales make honestly nothing came from that investment and Yeah sure. I gained three thousand followers but I think the mistake that a lot of people in social selling make is there like oh if I get more followers it's gonNA equal more sales and that's just simply not the case you can have over ten thousand followers and it still not be driving sales and I think that when people think about trying to gain followers and this like hey girl hustle of like you know following people in in following people in all this crazy stuff. That's a rat race like stop doing that. And focus on. It's about who you are who you serve and what your messages. And now is your marketing dot as your heartbeat. Once you get that down pat then you can figure out okay people on facebook yes or no and you either decide to be there or you don't like you don't have to be everywhere because if you're everywhere like your message is going to be super scattered and it's not going to be impactful so it's really not only getting solid on your message but then choosing where my ideal customers actually at because not all of them might be on. Instagram. Maybe they're unlinked and maybe their facebook so there's just you know I think people get caught up in like what are the gestures doing and look at all her instagram followers. You know so. I think it's like trying to put blinders on and just focus on what you're there to

Now you're working with some great players on especially let's say on the juniors who working with Yoenis four Tek who won grand slams last year such a great junior strokes are amazing anytime we posted on functional tennis. It's really amazing on. You're also working with a couple of the players on the Belgium Davis Cup team lower still lower Bella Mons on. Yeah few more. You're doing you're busy not me. We are a team here. So it's it's not me. We're working together with a couple of professionals here. So tennis coaches fitness coaches therapists. It's always a team effort here. Tell me cut me. Where's IT based in Germany? We Are Approximately fifteen to twenty minutes from Frankfurt Airport which is in my opinion great location as the International Airport. Gets you anywhere in the world and mostly direct flights? So you're in the center of Europe with Germany and Frankford is the center of or the middle of Germany so it's easy for us too excess anything here in Europe and even long fights I mean everything or usually everything has direct so we save a lot of time. There's so much going on in Europe and also for the flights as you mentioned but tell me about Your Academy your facility. How many courts you have. What's your setup like? They're always thought of two thousand and ten. I started very very tiny. We had one player and one coach We built this from scratch. We are here working at the Federation. We have four. Indoor rebound ace courts we outdoor rebound escorts and then outdoors. We have also a five day. Courts we have a gym. We have ten rooms to sleep For people that come in for a weekly base now. We have other options for our long-term customers that can save an hour to you house. That is a bit outside of the sites and Ben. We have other apartments as well so everything is basically here on site visit therapy and everything that we need. The restaurant So yeah it's it's not the largest site we can't compare this to the large European academies like more talk no and Ross. We look for very high quality on our courts I think which even that so far I think the small academy the Smaller Academy sorry not too big more look more commercially cutting small and seem to have a better more family atmosphere on something you mentioned. Is You like to build character in the players? You work which can you tell me what you mean by building character with your players. You know if you're getting young people in here. Having a lot of influence has left rights errands media friends other players and so on at the end of the day. I believe that's building a good character and I'm gonNA come back to. That will make them successful people. Nobody can guarantee professional career of them making millions of euros in stuff like this but if they are hot working if they are focused if the discipline if they work hard on reaching their goals if they take a setback if they take a loss get back up on their on their feet and try it again and again and again and again. This kind of character will succeed in life so I think that our number one priority or our number one job is to create personalities that will succeed in life and then they will always be happy that they've been here No matter hulk with a end up in Tennessee great. And how do you do you give me an example? So we set clear rules It's also a lot about talking to the kids making them understand why we do certain things and for ten years. I've been busting my Thoughts to get an atmosphere here where everybody works hard and all the kids that we have now and I'm really happy about this really into getting better so you can always spend your whole day playing computer games. You can spend your whole day going out at night drinking Blah Blah Blah or you generate an atmosphere where everybody works hard and if there's one kid that does work hard the other kids don't want to practice with him because it's it's also for their benefits for their practice so I think that we Getting there that the intensity here is very high that there's a clear plan of how they play and that they really spend time with their game. They're strokes and a half to write a journal of what they've learned throughout the day. They have to visualize nights what they've done and the next steps that are there. We make individual plans for them. We make individual schedules and at the end of the day. You also need to have time for for the if you have fifty players to take care of at the same time. It's a zoo. So our coaches have four to six players that they take care of and I don't think that they can do more so that they have enough time to to talk to the plan to also know what kind of personality they are and what. They're struggling with what they're all right. Now tell me if somebody if I want to apply to come to your Kademi what you look for players that send you emails to say they. WanNa come train with you. What we don't do is we don't sign any contracts through the Internet. We don't do that. We have to meet the player. Find out if it's a fits. We want to see if we really like working with that player and at the other on the other hand the player has to tell. I mean usually. It's the parents that also behind this The player has to say this is where I WANNA be. This is the best place in the world. I don't want to go anywhere else and we can find a way but I I want to very very clear and strong commitment for this and this place is not perfect for everybody. I mean this other academies out there that are doing a fantastic job and Certain personalities will like this here and other personalities will prefer something else through your right if you try and fit everybody in. I think you're structures all over the place. I agree if you WanNa make you happy. You're going to generate a mess. They're going to have strict rules. I mean we are German so if you come one second late for practice your practice is over. It's it just doesn't happen you run for today. Yeah we also worked very early in the morning at seven thirty. We organized in structure. As Germs. Do Things and this is a strength. We are probably the worst dancers and other countries. Show us. How the Party will we? We're good at other things one of my best friends. Fabian is a chairman on definitely knows how to party. I didn't learn. Jeremy travelled a bit so definitely did a stint in the states. I think that's re- picked it up so you start early tomorrow to. What's a typical day so for your? Let's say for your teenagers. There's no real tip of the day because when you run a period as Asian you have weeks where you work really hard. And then you have weeks where you worked less and you regenerate more so we work up to ten sessions a week if the players practice full than they have a Monday and Tuesday where they have two sessions into fitness sessions on Wednesdays. They have Tennis session one session. Thursday Friday again to each Saturdays one tennis and Yoga. That's a tough week here but again we also have other weeks where we watched that the players are doing more mobility or region more stretching more. Physiotherapy it really depends on what's a but the week is planned for them. Take a lot of boxes there. The one thing I know. Is that the coaches care here. They really work hard. Some of them travel twenty to twenty five weeks a year with the players to tournaments. They really care. And that's what I really like Nobody here looks at the clock. All the time and says Lesson is op. I always say don't teach lessons. We coach players and different thing for me. So Time. Watching a bad characteristic. If two people are counting the time I know one player we feature quite a bit in the past two years is Yoenis four tech. He trains with you and he was world number one junior last year. One Grand Slams. How long has he been trained in? What you almost six years now. At that time we didn't really have a junior program and he was recommended to us and we had to look at him and I fell in love right away and I knew that this was probably the best hand eye coordination that I've ever seen in my life. "If everyone in your family's let's say like overweight and you finally say you know what man on it i'm gonna make a change i'm gonna go join this fitness program and i'm gonna get in great shape doing to have a lot of people in your life that are trying to tear you down and sabotage what you're doing just that's how people are so if you're in this group program though with with all of these people that are on the same journey as you cheerleading for you raggio rooting for you like like supporting you you know like helping you come up with questions and things an answering your questions and all this stuff you don't feel so lonely as you might if it's just you and your fitness coach because now you're part of something you're part of a family and i didn't expect that to happen mike when i rolled out this group program i was like look we're going to give us a shot you know maybe it'll work out of the one on one maybe it won't but i was very skeptical but it really does get better results group program than than one on one of course your audience won't know that like i didn't know that until i tried it but i've never had someone in clients on a man who was doing one on one and we've had thousands of clients right so i've never had anybody who's doing one on one switch over to a group program and then switch back because their clients weren't getting results never yeah no that makes makes a ton of sense the the whole part about doing one on one that you mentioned at the beginning i am absolutely appreciate which is the fact that if you're doing one on one you basically have a really highly paid job that you've given yourself ryan but there's just no point of leverage so yeah absolutely agreed so i think that this is going to be really good fit for a lot of people who are listening to this and who've struggled with the traditional online marketing you know business model of e books and the information side which is you know what i've cut my teeth on what i know how to do but if you're starting from scratch i think this is something you guys should really look into who is this force specifically russ because i don't want a bunch of people calling you guys if it's not a good fit and wasting everybody's time and then to what's the best way to get in touch with y'all okay so i'll answer those in in reverse order so so the the the best way to reach out to us is that if you are listening to this and you think that these ideas could be great for your business you know why couldn't you roll out a high ticket program why couldn't.

"Super slow strength training is incredibly powerful. And I feel everyone should be looking into it. So we started doing it. We stopped a gym in our office. We train everybody who comes into mind valley. We have a fitness coach, and we put them through super super slow strength training and the result. Some people's body has been really really really great. So people transform. They are there. They get the b shape body, which is really important. They get more muscular. They get more focused thinking because strength, by the way, the more you tweet the more improves your mission. But the other thing is the the human. The exercise which has the highest correlation with longevity is strength training. So when you strength create you're actually increasing your life span in a really dramatic way. Do you know the number one cause of accidents debt for Americans past seventy it's falling down. It's because after forty you will lose one percent of your body's musculature every year, and you will put on one pound in fat every year. And by the time, you hit seventy if you're the average American according to CBS news, the number one cause of exit until death is going to be falling down because your muscles are weak. They can't protect your bones. But if you do strength training, your muscles do not deteriorate, and so you have more energy in you live longer, and you need less less less to your doctor. So anyway, that's that's what we're looking at while fit. Whoops, and super slow slick super slow strength training program is called tax. "It's a fact yasser real so like i want to make sure that i get this very clear before i don't because at like looking at the way our conversation is coling all these different avenues i have to say this first and foremost i used to be a fitness competitor i was a diet coach weight loss coach him kind of hinting at that right now but i would make it very clear that when i was doing this i also had an eating disorder so yes i went out to create this business that was fitness bitterness but at that time i was very unhealthy with food in my body very unhealthy and i was very determined in resilient and creating a business and that was in a really good place of love and drive and excitement but i was channelling it in a toxic way i was looking for a fitness coach who will tell me everything that's wrong with me and helped me have the perfect body side had the perfect life what was really going on was i had control issues i was in this realm of perfection azzam i was raised in a very conservative household that there was a lot of black and white right wrong and as i got older i started to channel that because i needed a way to cope with feeling like i was in control and i went directly towards the first thing that was the easiest to control which was my body image my weight and i went down a very dangerous cycle thinking my body will why i was here on earth so i needed to look perfect be perfect eat perfect and i wanted the whole world to see how perfect i was so envision being a famous fitness competitor and and helping people get thin but i'm telling you it was unhealthy southsouth so unhealthy so rigid and so we're talking about two different things here i'm hinting at the body image because i will make sure everyone understands that you are not here on this earth to have the perfect body and you are here to create something magical and wonderful so ask.

"Shattering and mindblowing has never been done before don't even bother there's this common belief in the business world that if you can't be the best the best in the world don't you try don't even do it and i gotta tell you guys i could not disagree more do you know how many books there are in the world and have been written in history like billions and billions and billions do you know how many authors there are how many business coaches there are how many fitness coaches there are how many politicians there are how many speakers there are how many product developers there are millions and millions and millions of each the idea that you shouldn't do it if you can't be the best is ludicrous the world needs what you have to offer the lie is that you have to be the best but i wanna tell you the truth you don't have to be the best to add value you have to be the best to help people you don't have to be the best in the whole world with the most followers in the biggest platform in order to make a difference in someone's life or so a group of people's lives you know i believe that there is a group of people that only you can help i believe there's a group of people out there that need wh you have to offer uniquely you not everyone else not the best not the brightest not the fanciest not the biggest celebrity with the most followers you i think there are people that only you can reach and so this idea that if you can't be the best you shouldn't do it will then we'd only have one we only have one of everything one musician one band one accounted one business coach one fitness coach one store to buy everything every single industry would be a monopoly and you know what you'd get really stinking board you wouldn't have any options and those few people that made it the top cannot help everyone not only from a scale ability standpoint but also they don't have the style they don't have the perspective they don't have the story that's going to reach certain people in a certain way so i don't want you to be held back by this belief.
