"Gentlemen. You're just right here. No long right. Tommy Fisher Fisher Industries, their company, the one putting the bricks in the wall to protect our homeland back with us for a couple more minutes here before you Let him go on. Get back to it. Um So I wanted to finish the stop order thing. So the action of Joe Biden yesterday has already translated in a notice or whatever. You got to just stop in your tracks with the teams you have out there. Uh, another was no. No wall. No finish work. Gates. Whatever is that correct? Yeah, We just can't. We can't place anything that would constitute a barrier. But we can still clean up roads and, you know, prepare to possibly be, you know, suspended. So, um Is that just pertaining to the money that I'll say was controversial. It's not controversial to me because his homeland security, but Donald Trump took a pot of dollars because Congress you know they hated the wall. They don't want to do it. Democrats wouldn't do It was a big fight. So we found other money from D O D. That was fought in court. Trump won, but Biden can remove it is that stop border on Lee for that money or for the whole project, Tommy I believe it's only with money that came from D Oh, dear, the treasury of forfeiture funds. God, it's so there's other work. Going on in the mean is that is the lion's share of the work on the wall right now from the forfeiture funds, or is it from the traditional wall funding kind of crunch? I think it's I think it's split, Scott God, It's so some work continues on the wall of the controversy of dollars where they tell you to stop. They tell you to stop for How long did they say Like this is gonna be a week? Two weeks have any idea how long the stock order last? No. No. Just just does the stop work order? That's it. Um no. As you say, Border Patrol. Homeland security their fight for this the boots on the ground. Forget the politics. The boots on the ground. Want this to return. And if Joe Biden wants to be period going to Congress and say, Look The 14 50. Miles doesn't finished or that's finished, but we gotta do another. You said 60 or whatever. You've got a contract for. Let's at least finish that. Give me dollars to replace that. Fine. That'd be okay. If it's stopped or done. We're out of here. That's a problem, and I do think we got a politically think smart here from Biden's perspective, he has the base. That hates the wall. They think it's terrible. They hate the wall because of trump. They hate the wall because they want open borders, whatever reason they hated. But if he takes this fight on just that one sliver of money, but not the overall wall. We could live with that. I think right, we could. We could say that's OK, and that would be sort of a smart political move. How long were they think we find out before Homeland Security, Tommy and DHS eyes, Homeland security but also Border patrol. Come back to you safe. We're back on. We're ready to go or we're done. How long you think this process takes any idea? I'm not sure. I'm hoping that if they could get him down there, and they can see actually what's really been done and what's being built with the same thing that was built years before, maybe a little bit taller. But so much more technology so much more infrastructure has been added to what was done before. You know, Maybe if they see it, they could go real quick. Otherwise, you know, I read the executive order. I think they got 60 days is what they said to figure out what they're going to do. So would be maybe a week to 60 days would be my range. And last question. Worst case scenario again. There is a plan B just like you had done previously. Yeah, I think you know what a same time. I mean, if if Was really the case. And they the government was going to do anything There would always be, um, You know, a version for people to, you know, do something there, you know there, but I think Would probably have to be done with contractors that actually do you know all the building and You know, that could be a possibility as well. Not easy, though. Not not using. Not easy. You gotta go get, you know right away. You've got to get the funding. You've got to get Patriot contractors like Fisher Industries. Not all are like that. Not all are about America first. And Buck second, But Fisher Industries is why we love him. Do you and the whole crew official industries your boys on the team and Dickerson keep fighting, Tommy. We appreciate you. All right. Thank you so much, Scott. Definitely. That's.

Trump criticizes a Texas border wall segment that is said to be eroding, claiming that it was constructed to make him 'look bad'
"Trump is criticizing a privately built border wall project in South Texas. As NPR's Joel Rose reports the stretch of wall near the Rio Grande shows signs of erosion a few months after being built. President Trump took to Twitter to complain that the privately built border wall was quote on Ly done to make me look bad, even though the wall was built after a month's long campaign by the president's supporters. A group calling itself we build. The wall raised more than $25 million after Congress refused to fund trumps demands for a border wall. The three mile section stands much closer to the Rio Grande than the government ordinarily places border barriers. Propublica and the Texas Tribune reported this week that erosion of the river Bank is threatening the wall's integrity. It was built by Fisher Industries, which has since one a border wall contract from the federal government worth more than a $1,000,000,000.
Privately Funded Border Wall Near Completion In New Mexico
"Support for NPR and the following message come from Dulles International Airport with the highest on time takeoff percentage of any airport on the east coast. I a d means I'm already departing more at fly Dulles dot com slash fast. There is a new section of border wall under construction in Sunland Park, New Mexico. Now this isn't President Trump's wall. This is the first crowd funded border barrier built with private donations on private land. The team behind the wall showed did offer reporters yesterday and Mallory Falk with member station. K R WG was there. A cement mixer porous concrete onto the ground near newly-built barrier at the corner, where New Mexico, Texas and Mexico. Meet construction workers in bright, green and orange t shirts. Stand at the ready with shovels to smooth a new concrete into a road for border patrol vehicles project. I was started by the American people who all believe in border security, in believe there is a crisis down here. Brian Cole fudge looks out over the construction site. All this was his brainchild. He founded a nonprofit called we build the wall and hired a construction company. Fisher industries to start building on private land fifteen hundred people from the Fisher industries team stood up and was so proud and honored for we build the wall to give us a shot to do this tummy Fisher is president. He's pitching his company as the best contractor for other sections of the wall on private or government land. We have the ability to build in the multi, billions and build miles, and miles and miles. And he's not the only one who sees this as just the beginning, another is Chris Kobuk, former secretary of state of Kansas, and now legal counsel for we build the wall. He says the group's already identified ten other potential sites locations secret. And then once we start building, of course. We, we announced customs and border protection says they're not a partner on this project and that this stretch of land in New Mexico, isn't a high priority site. But Kobuk claims his group's been in close communication, with officials and once construction is done. In his words, they all hand over the keys to the car. I know they're very eager to take control of the site and use it, we dealt the wall may have been in communication with border patrol. But when it comes to local government, that's a different story. Heavier pariah is mayor of Sunland park, the city learned just last week that this wall project was in the works. He says, construction started before all the permits were in or. Under this is an issue that was railroaded into the city of someone park and you know, it takes time for us to review documents. And ensure that everything's been compliance. Semin park is small less than twenty thousand people and has limited resources. The mayor says the city was already struggling to deal with permanent issues. And then when he ordered a temporary pause on construction. He and his staff were flooded with calls from wall supporters, and his family even received death threats pareo worries that other small border communities could also be blindsided. And he says the construction of this border wall, I do not believe is going to accomplish what many people think it will. And what it will accomplishes that. Maybe it'll funnel, some people to different areas in the desert, he says a half mile of private wall is not the solution to the border crisis for NPR news. I'm Mallory Falk in Sunland park.

"Was all up. And then they say gee, he fought back. Isn't that terrible? He fought back with projects like that, because they false accusation, totally false accusation had it took this great. And it's a very it's a very sad very for this country. And I think in the end I will consider what's happening now to be one of my greatest achievements exposing this corruption. All right. So here's our question for eight hundred eight zero five five zero. How do we turn the page here? How do we just let them run? We just let them let them. Let them take more rope and keep going with this dead end. No message you know plan that they see the green new deal and late term or after birth abortions. So your plan, and I don't think anybody really get that I just, you know how. How do we? It's like I wish I had a like a superhero, or something that I could call on to say, make them make them stop. Because it's done. It's over with what we can. How do we do? The witch does never gonna be over with you. And I both know that. But how do we how could lose twenty twenty pass away heaven forbid and twenty twenty one and in twenty twenty two will the witch hunt will still be going on? Meanwhile we've got so many things, especially with the border. He's we're going to play that clip coming up in the next segment. He's got a major announcement coming with a plan strategic plan for the border that doesn't involve closing the border. So he's obviously Ben with the I don't know if you saw the, there's a letter to the editor this morning. From a obvious liberal in the in the Fulham this morning. And it talks about Senator now the fool them. Yeah. That's all it for years. Senator Kramer, given lots of attention to Fisher industries Fisher industries donated thousands of dollars to Kevin's recent election campaign yadda yadda yadda. There's all insider and, and the walls, a bad idea fifth century solution to a twentieth century problem. You know, here's what I'm read this letter. This was never part of a studied plan. Whatever you may think our problems at the border wall does not begin to solve any of them. The wall was just campaign. Talk used by Trump to fire up certain people that are part of his base, and of course Mexico's going to pay for it. Here's the thing. This wasn't Trump's plan, sir. This wasn't anything. He knew it was a problem because it's been a problem for decades. He's the first guy to say, well, let's do something about Jan brewer wanted to do something about it in a state of era Zona a dozen years ago as the governor of Arizona. She invited President Obama to come to a guest.

"And he's working with the we are we build the. Wall movement, which is privately funded. So I saw sound bite from Chris Kobuk who said that. The army corps engineers said you guys will never be able, and you kinda dressed it, but he said, you guys will never be able to build a wall in this area, which is why they never did it. What would that mindset? How were you able to do that? And I mean is this just lazy government that gave him that attitude? Well, I think when you're a big bigger bureaucracy and stuff like that. And I think the underestimated the talent of what American, ingenuity and drive can do. And that's what we do work, neutral builders. So we build highways through mountains all the time. Why can't you build a wall? You know what I'm saying because we are building my way, and we're building electrical, and they, they don't see it that way. But I think once everyone else sees the finish product, maybe their mindset changes, but their systems and procedures have to change in order to do that. Otherwise. It's just not going to get done. I mean. They put up maybe forty five miles in the last three years with billions of dollars. And you know, basically in the week, we put up a half a mile with, you know, it's million dollars and that also includes a road, right? Everything's included new all road, electrical. When people see it, I guarantee when we're done the border patrol can hire cruisers, they don't need tahoe's anymore. They don't need grafters. They could drive a car any anybody could get up there. So it's going to give them great access. If with the cameras are, you know behind him agents, there's a grinning ear to ear. I've taken a few of them up myself to the lookout point and not only there, they can see, you know, five, six miles into Mexico as well. So they can look at in the oncoming threats for miles away. Wow. This is incredible stuff. So take me through it again. You said thirty days what, what? What was the first thing thirty days ago, the beginning and will they came and card demonstration with patented fossils, how we hang the panels on machine and Chris outpointed mentioned. Hey, I'm with this organization called we build the wall. Would you come out and take a look at the top with the Athol and he goes, I don't know. They've all told us that they can never be built on. I said, okay, I'll fly out there jumped on south west out there and Ned George and, and some of his people listened to his concerns on how people would, you know, try to beat the border protection or the agents and started formulating a plan and how to, you know, build a structure from top to bottom. When over that with George engine nearing and everything was done within a week him back to give them a tentative price thing. Hey, if I the mock this up this up this up, we'll get you a price. We settled on price, maybe twenty five days ago, but then you still needed to get the scale because. Was all weathering steel or courtoom. You'll not readily available. So big American steel mill jump through. We met with their executives and they gave us steel within two and a half weeks that still showed up in Coolidge, Zona. We're stinger bridge and iron basically fabricated feel in two days. And shifted to us, and the Fisher trucks brought it out here at the same time we've built ground about four or five years, because we had to do a major major mound of earth, reclamation, and to get ready. And then we just started placed in panel, and they can see that our system works in steep grades. You know, if you go you'll see the excavators sitting on benches, climbing right up the side of the mountain, and you'll do great day. VHS was actually out there completely different because that's the agency that needs the wall. So I said, there's a different option. You guys can go. You know, why don't you go to contractors yourself and administer? And then we're also doing all the third party administration as well. So we have a third party that will verify all the concrete all the steel search everything we do, just like if we were doing it for the zoning department of transportation. No different. Wow. And this is literally. Getting finish. I'm saying that this is just like literally thirty days but you didn't even know anything about this. You get a random phone call and from going out there meeting to the job being done thirty days. That's him. Yeah. And that's that's the real story. I mean, even though we could, you know, built the fence in, you know, few days, I mean, that's, that's the big point to what the real point is, is having the ability to say, hey, here's an emergency spot that we need gun on do. We do it. And that's what I went over with the h f if that's what you need me spots. And I think now the guy's a believer when I told them that we can do to hundred eighteen miles one year and but, but it sometimes it takes. People seeing it to believe it like if I'm talking to you on the phone. A lot of people say, a lot of things, but it's another thing to actually witness with your own eyes. What they actually did. I found videos up at videos on my, my website. It can't dot com. And this is by the way, Tommy Fisher Fisher industries CEO on Kansas game seven ninety so DEA think that I mean you kind of lose it to. But do you think that the people you were talking to homeland security? We're impressed that they finally saw with their eyes and thought, like, could you see the wheel spinning in their heads of man, we could really actually use this guy, and this technology to get this done quickly? I do. But I told him straight out unless you get rid of the, you know, corps of engineers, if not going to happen, they've given out several jobs, based on no price or no schedule, just on, you know, some questionnaires, and I'm you know, I'm not against anybody or you don't. But the point being if you want to get it done. You gotta higher construction company that, you know, understands all the fastest of the work and their team player with the mission of what, what are you actually building? What's the purpose of what you're building? And if everyone can focus on that I think the teams can win together and go and I said it's up to you guys now. If figure out it's your money. It's not their money. It's your money that you need for your agency. So why wouldn't you want to track every dollar and every dollar can be tracked? You know you go this route. Is Chris Kobuk helping it all passing on what you can do to the Trump administration, considering he has done a lot of work with the Trump administration. I think there's a lot of people, you know, no different than all the congress people in the senators. I know that there's a lot of interest for them to come out to see the finished product. It's one thing to see, you know, one hundred foot demonstration snow thing to be a half a mile up by the mountain completely finished. So I think they're gonna come out to. I know for one thing, the president doesn't like to build back in class. Anything? And when he sees how private company build the first class wall, and the government go second third and fourth class. I don't think he's going to like that at all. So I, I hope they encourage him to come out and see and it's not just saying he were trying to one up somebody. It's just trying to say that these guys are protecting our lives. Now you've the expertise to help them do their job more efficiently. And you kind of lewd to this, Tommy, Tommy, Fisher CEO Fisher industries, is on KFI AM seven hundred guy built, the first privately funded border wall right here in this great country. Do you think that there's a chance after you mentioned to those homeland security, people that it's kind of it's a very unfair process as to who gets the job? I mean, do you think there's any chance that they're like, you know, we agree with you? I mean, what was your reaction to that? Oh, I think they do. There's no question, because the proof in the pudding, I mean we turn this and thirty days from complete design everything because they gotta deal with the Brocker. See a design and all the paperwork and actually see results to, you know, them just moving at us Neal's pace. And so they asked, you know what? Hey, what's next, and I told them I said, if we build the wall raises a bunch of money, I'll build it everywhere. So there's a couple of other locations that were you looking at I'm starting to design on, and we're just gonna continue to move there and just eat showing them. So once in the, you know, off the real in Texas, where, you know, the they've stumbled they built zero in the last two years, and we're gonna try to place there and then there's going. To be a place. You know, in another state, California, and same type of thing you know, through the mountains different things. Big, big corridor, and, and we'll just sort of what happens. So they think they're going to raise a lot more money. So I said, well, I mean, we'll give you a fair price and we'll give you a great product. And lastly people don't remember when you were on a couple of months ago, you said, you could build what was it two hundred eighteen miles offense for, for how much again. And how quickly can you get it done proposal all in with the road, electrical cameras, everything was three point three billion dollars. Two hundred eighteen miles in the exact spot VHS needed them when they asked DOD for the money and we do it in one year. One year. Unbelievable. Again, since you did this. It's starting to gain traction. Now by the, the I know I said last question, but I lied. I know you're talking to us. I saw Fox News at a story any other media besides local media anybody else go out there and getting interviews, you know, a lot of people called him. You're, you're, you're, you're the first person I've talked to I've been on the hill, fourteen hours a day to make sure that done. And So Chris doing a lot of that with we build the wall. And I think once everything's buttoned up and we're completely done than I have a little more time what they want me to start the next few segments. So but you know, we also have a huge construction company to run as well. But for this, this has been really fun for me, too, because I got turned back the clock twenty years and run equipment and back on the job site with the guy, you know, picking up once everything would Americans about and, and not just about me, or whatever, I want you to leave it. In the end that when you talk about the Fisher industries team. There's fifteen hundred employees that are experts in a lot of things they do and without him, I couldn't do the things that we just did. Well, man, you are a year like the definition of America right now. Ingenuity, hard work, the right thing. And I am honored that I'm the first person that, that is talked to me. I'm honored that, that I'm the first person to talk to you. So listen, I know you're already busy, and you've got to put up a lot of fence. But I really appreciate I want to get the word out because I want to get it done. And you seem like the only guy that can actually get it done at a great price and a great product. So Tommy man, thank you work. Thank you for being a patriot. I really do. Appreciate it. You bet. Thank you. Take care you to take care of Tommy Fisher Fisher industry CEO incredible stuff. Isn't it?.

"Remember when you ran away, and I got on my knees and begged you to leave because I go. Well, let me see how. And then the days got worse than worse than now. You see I've gone completely out of my mind. The coming to take me away. Take away. Oh. After watching the House Judiciary committee today. What else circus kind of crazy loving before the top of the hour back on? What? You just before the break a little bit about the visit vice president Pence tomorrow. Pump it up the US MCA, which is the new NAFTA. Steve Bannon called Monday, the most important day of the Trump presidency. I only heard a little bit on your your morning part of the show that was it. So what what's his theory here that Trump is standing up for the Chinese and nobody's ever done to that level. And you know, the managed decline of everybody else is a thing of the past. And you know, it's huge because obviously they tried to pull a fast one, and he didn't take it. And they usually do. So I thought that was interesting. It's a guy that. Was his truth. What does he strategic strategists? I guess chief strategist the White House. So anyway, that's interesting you, and I have been following closely with happening at the border. And there was an interesting story in the Washington Examiner yesterday, by the way, they have done a fabulous of the national media. I mean stories you just don't get anywhere else is the examiner big deal and in DC for a while they were just kind of the conservative alternative to the post, you know, kind of like the Washington Times. But I mean are they credible news source? But what do you consider them? I would say so at least the stuff that I read there seems to be fairly credible. And I got the eye of the president of the United States. So that's probably why she continues to write those stories meaning Anna, right? And we have heard that that he reads, the Washington Examiner and and hears about it. So if he's doing that today, then he's. Aware of this story. The Christian talk about it. The construction company. Sues army corps calls border, fence bid process, highly flawed. That's the headline. The construction company is Fisher industries and Zona construction company competing for border. Fence project has sued the department of defense over army corps of engineers, highly flawed solicitation and award process. Tommy, Fisher, president of Arizona based Fisher industries told the examiner. The army corps has blocked prequalified companies including itself from bidding on jobs over the past two years. The company filed complaints with the defense department regarding a pair of contracts the army corps awarded to companies in May Day. April in a formal documents submitted April twenty fifth Fisher accused the army corps of not holding standard requests for proposals. As an attempt to companies from making as an attempt to keep companies from making bids that would have been lower priced. Now, I have to correct the Washington Examiner. The they need to do anyway and completed more quickly than the ones that hired. Is this a strategy for Fisher? It seems like it's working because now they've reopened the bids. The Fisher industries, correct? Yeah. And what these what these two proposals that they protested. And I think that's what she's talking about what she says they've sued basically, you go in and say, hey, this is ridiculous. And then they look at it on on minors thing on both of those is they said we're starting over. And they also added specs to the bed that would include things that only Fisher's had their proposal today. I'd say it's working. Were you at all? I mean that that. Company like Fisher industries has to do this. Of course, it does. But I think this is part of draining the swamp. This is what President Trump has talked about Senator Kevin Kramer has been really the tip of the spear and the situation calling out the core. And it seems to be a good thing. Because even congress and calling Peterson a democrat is look if you want to increase the cost of a project just get the corn vault. So the good thing about Fisher industries. They're saying look we can do this. We can say the taxpayer money and do it faster. They also up on earth in the article the fact that it, oh, Sean Hannity had President Trump on recently. He brought up actually Shawn brought up what about this company that can do a mile a day and everything he said, he house. Fisher industries is North Dakota. Kevin Kramer, great senators behind them. So the Washington Examiner asked Fisher, why the president said in that interview that they weren't meeting the beds. He said he's still being told miss truce by the core. The truth is we weren't allowed to bed on several the. Jobs, and the one they were the one we were they said to raise our price the court told them to put a higher price in. So what does that tell you? When you're asking forbids, you want the lowest price, and then they didn't get the, of course interested. So what does that tell you? I think that's that's the point of. Hey, let's drain the swamp. One hundred percent one hundred percent and hope some things were happening here. They quote, Senator Kathy and Senator Kramer in here. As well. So progress you have a theory on why the president? Tax returns. They actually his tax returns they were like summaries. Someone that runs somebody right with the info about the president's taxes from eighty four to ninety five over the timing of this. What's your theory? I mean, it's it's pure speculation. But whenever you see a story like this drop. You've got to ask yourself. Why it's the New York Times. Why are they dropping a now remember last week the New York Times after two years have been talking about this New York Times finally caught up and realize like, oh, yeah. The FBI was putting confidential informants in the campaign. Why are they turning now after two years they knew this information something's comment? Couple minutes left. So anything on your mind, Leyland me? They're just getting this event underway to demonstrate this and what's happening today. So we look forward to firsthand seeing what's going to happen right there. And hopefully in the coming days to have a little bit to report for you to five eight zero five zero if you've got any last questions or comments, I got a boatload of text to get to as well, but calls come I call us a two five eight zero five five zero. Texter says, how about an executive order to use Fisher industries, I suppose you could. But I think that would be a precedent that would, you know, recall kinds of havoc. You know, I I mean for one like Kevin said, here's where we need border. Here's what we want for specs who wants to bid on it. If there's one hundred people on it, then you whittle it down to ten five one. Whatever you know, how how much can you build? How far do you build all of those questions? You just got to get some of the layers out of it for sure does the mile a day include all dirt work and prep says the next exter- I think a mild as a mild day is Kevin Kramer said you talk to some of the team here. They've talked about up to two miles per day. In other words, they'd started a mile per day. But this could go when you see this happen. I've seen it firsthand. We have videos for the last trip down here month or so ago. It goes quick, you know, the trenching is is all by the you know, they have this really unique a lot of times when they play steel fence the steel fence in each Bollard goes into a particular area. That's in the trench. Okay. And then they poor. Well, it's tedious. You you get each one in. There is really a deal. What they do is. They put you know, what they've patented here is they take the what what goes in the trench and hang it to the fence. So. The whole section goes down at once then they pour in onto the next one. So it's quite as I got to see it. It's hard to explain it. But didn't dusty Johnson vote against the wall. So what's he doing there? I think illegal immigrants. When they come to the country needs to pay structure tax to pay for all the infrastructure and schools that they start to use it. They never paid for. I don't know how you would make an illegal immigrant pay if they're here illegally. I'm not sure on Desi Johnson. But I tell you what I will do all ask him. We did s interview after thanks you've done today. Just to get a. You know, he's impression than what he saw here. Texter says didn't get a chance to hear your response to the caller who claimed that the farmers are living off the government is the idiot realize that if you don't periodically subsidize commodity prices commodities would go through the roof and become far more costly than the subsidies. Another good example somebody else that farm subsidies, equal affordable food what would food Cosby without subsidy. That guy's never step foot on a farm or a ranch. That's I never found a farmer that said, look, you know, I don't I don't want the subsidies more strings that come with that. And everything else. I'd rather be without that just let me get out of my way. Any farmer with their salt wants that it is unfortunately system or and again, it's a world market. So. I hopefully answer that the. Listener satisfaction. My Maper says that a blighted area North Dakota is all of south central North Dakota bordered by US Eighty-one. I ninety four in US Eighty-three. That would be a bit extreme to say the least. But I did ask for your suggestions on blighted areas because I'll be at the White House tomorrow and the conversation tomorrow is related to. Why did areas also known as the opportunity zones blight? It's probably the wrong word because somebody's in North Dakota aren't going to be played at areas, but they're going to be areas that have either, you know, a particular need for, you know, investment that come for whatever reason, maybe it's costly buildings to take down or whatever. So but send them to me. I'll ask. That caller needs to realize that there will not be subsidies. We wouldn't have any food and our grocery stores in all country because no farm could make all the time without them. I see a good point that caller earlier boy that personally stirred up a lot. And that was the angriest person I've heard in a long time. I feel sorry for him. I'll say a prayer for. That's a good idea. Another do we know for sure that Omar that'd be Representative Ilan, Omar got death threats. They've lied before. Yeah. I don't know. Chris Dickinson says Scott the backup alarms in the background music to my ears. Sounds of progress build that wall. Yeah. We had a lot of that today as I say the program just started just getting ready to actually demolition things quieted down for for a little while. But it's going to get crazy here in a bit. No doubt about that. I am worried says another listener now knowing that the give me just because ideology has made it to North Dakota. Gimme gimme gimme just because. Well, I think it's a small number just judging by the reaction to it. Texas is love the.

"How are you? I'm well. Thanks. How are you? I am actually coming to you from my first full day in my what they call permanent office. It's permanent move again, I suppose but out of the transition office into the permanent office at four hundred Russell Senate office building. So glad to have a little more elbow new digs. Yeah. You were really crammed in there into a small office. And last time I checked you that's one in January. But they take awhile to move desks around and paint, walls and stuff. I guess they do in the Senate, particularly in the house. Everybody moves in on their first day. So that they do all the transition during the break between election and in January in the Senate. They do it sort of one Senator at a time as they move out. And and they don't move out until their term is up, and they even get paid until for another three months. Or something their staffs do. So it's a much imagine that much slower process, but I will say this. They have they have spent it up here in the last couple of years to where what I what what I did. Now yesterday with the full that the move in date generally have happens in June, historically, so carbon couple months off and actually get Newark you met with the president this week and we've had calls about that saying. Gentlemen, called the last hour and said, okay. What what what what did he say about this border wall deal? People really picked up on the fact that the president last week was celebrating a two mile stretch of replacement wall authorized in two thousand nine. The Democrats are making a big deal out of that. So Boswell, it's not your wall. Right. Well, it and obviously they're trying to score political points. But it does tell you just how slow things move. They are. And I know you've been from writing letters to cures to Nielsen to talking to the White House directly. What did you get in the way of answers from the the the president about making a change there? Well, I just pressed him really hard. I you know, I said sure I just worry that the core of engineers will never get a new wall built. And if they do it'll cost too much it'll take too long, and they're better faster ways to do it. He was familiar with Fisher industries, you brought it up before I did. And I said, well, I just think damn or somebody like them you need to look at, you know, sharing this load a little bit with private sector businesses that to build the things that rather than bureaucrats who just know how to stall things and get, you know, get jobs to their friends, and they take their share off the top. And nobody's either punished or rewarded for building or not building? It's only the private sector that understands. Getting paid for job rather than getting paid for not doing job. So I'm I'm very frustrated. It's Spar over with me, quite honestly, I you know, every day that there's not another mile of new wall put up as a day that's lost forever. And we appropriate these funds in while. I know he wishes it was more. You know, I'd like to see the the might it's been appropriate at spent on on what it is that we appropriated it for. So I'm frustrated it's become a bit of a personal mission for me to to get this done and get it done. Right. So we'll see how it shakes out. But he knows where I stand, and I was very clear I gave him very specific documentation and continue to work with in his team. I brought up yesterday with secretary Shanahan. You know, the the secretary of defense. Unite talked about it last week in my office and yesterday we had a big hearing, which as I said yesterday is the most fascinating two hours of my career. So far in the Senate and the way too big hearing on the space. Proposal from the White House. And what that might look like, and whether we ought to put something like that as a national defense authorization act, which will be bringing up here in a couple of months. So I did mention the to McGinn yesterday said I have to talk to continue talking about the corps of engineers. They continue to get more money to do jobs that so far they haven't done. So anyway, it's this is one of one of the things that have taken a an interest in applied some passion to. So I mean is he getting correct information about all of this? When when when you bring it up, obviously, if he believes there's a problem, he's probably gonna say, let's fix it. But is he given information from his team that there is a problem? You know, I think he gets conflicting information Scott. I mean, all I can speak to his what information I give him. But I feel there's two things you've heard me say this on this show before about people who support you or maybe people who don't. And that is you want them to hold you accountable. And you want them to have your back. I think with Donald Trump. I I do both. I have his back when he's right. And I try to hold him and his administration accountable when I don't think they're right. And so I, you know, he's heard me all these respectful. Obviously, I I do think he gets some conflicting information, it's a big big bureaucracy out here in this swamp, a lot for one person to to control, and as you know, it's been a fairly active, you know, week or so with the department of homeland security, so I, you know, I don't want to make it sound like he doesn't he's not doing things obviously last things are happening. A lot of stuff swine lot of people are leaving and being replaced. I just think you know, there needs to be more. That kind of thing with the people are actually in charge of building this wall. What advice would you have for a Fisher industries and other companies, obviously, we're rooting for North Dakota company to get this. We've seen the money. They've invested just to say, hey, we're capable. And if we don't do it, we say, we'll do give you you. You can we'll give you your money back. You know? I mean, that's that's a pretty good guarantee. But I, you know, it'd be pretty frustrating in this process to continue to see bits go to people that have been getting bids for how many years, whatever what advice would you have for them? We kevin. All right, Dan. Dan, Daniel tells us the the line went dead never done other some issues around master control there. So I don't know if it was on Kevin Santer iron. But we're trying to get back here for you. We'll get to the calls on the program..

"Todd and Kevin cap clapping. So it does that outstanding. Yeah. I've been yes. Gary you've hit a nerve here in the what's on your mind studio today. Okay. Abidine? Appreciate the call. He's a little thing about how the twenty second amendment was passed that FDR could not be reelected. The Republicans did that mind past two years after he died in office. She's the gift that keeps on giving. There's no doubt about that. We're going to be we're going to be we are going to be doing launch there. So here is President Trump last night at a fundraiser in Washington DC, everybody's a little uptight about this. I don't exactly know why. But here's what the president said about Joe by the world, Joe. You have a good time. Coat. I what he's saying is look, you know, they're coming for you. They come from me every day. Obviously, it's it's it's for different things. But I didn't think there was a big deal. Here is a few of your taxes have been pouring in classrooms are over crowded. That's a fact teachers are sacrificing attention to students because their classes are so full ask a teacher that my wife is a special education teacher. I guarantee more money for that is needed big time. Well, I agree with you there, and there is a special place in heaven for special education. Teachers, no doubt in my mind. Phenomenal you said the corbin's nurse Fisher industries. They were not a preferred better does. That mean, they're done. I thought this was an emergency. Does the president understand how angry the basis about illegal immigration? No what they what they what they said was on one particular sliver of the project. They were taking it as an emergency. And doing it the corbin's nears doesn't like private sector companies like Fisher industries and say, okay, you got a problem you need this amount of fans in this time. Let me come up with something and they literally designed to patent they come up with concrete that set faster. They do all these things and they demonstrate that it works and the corporate here's yawns because they don't have tons of former employees, evidently who are part of that swamp because there are swamp too. Exactly. Right. So it goes on. Earned..

"All right as we continue with congressman McClintock of California. Also, congressman Andy Biggs of Arizona. Let me ask us. So there's a guide now that is proposing that he can literally construct a construction company private company any submitted a proposal to finish the president's wall. On time for the twenty twenty election. You might know them congressman Biggs Arezzo on bass, the call Fisher industries and the president of Fisher industries Tommy is meeting this week with the top department of homeland security officials and Democrats Republic and Republicans say, hey, you know, you need a contractor to build this border fence as fast as possible without compromising the quality of the fence. And he's saying we can get this done. Yes. Tommy. And and he's got an a fascinating of patented way to put the Spence up, and he's willing to put the fence pavement lights cameras, and he can deliver it for less than with what we're hearing is going to cost you're gonna delivered on time. And he's willing to bond against it saying if I don't deliver it on time, and it's not good quality. You can attach my gets money back. That's how serious insect we go to the border in a couple of weeks. We're going to see his process life. I've seen. It is fascinating. And it is a fish. And it is good. Wow. Have you heard about this proposal? The fact that he's going to bond it now, I guess at this point what he's offering is. He said his company can build two hundred eighteen new miles of fencing eighteen foot steel fence, along with pave concrete roads lighting technology for three point two eight five billion fraction of what the president. Now has what he requested the five point seven billion. Now, the other monies available for the nine billion that will be ready allocated congressman McClintock. Then we've got ourselves a wall and everything else is beefed up as well. We can hire a bunch of great people. Of course, we do. And that shouldn't surprise us, you know, Israel erected, a sixteen to twenty four foot high wall on their southern border with Egypt. They cut illegal immigration by about ninety nine percent. That was about one hundred forty. Six-mile wall. They built it for about two point six million dollars a mile of you could cover the entire of US Mexico border for less than the president. Now has available to him at that cost. Amazing. I hope you guys can get that done. All right. Thank you for being with us. Congressman Biggs congressman McClintock..

"Song. Bad idea. Trainwreck? And now we're going to take to pock vehic is the world that'll be our theme song going in. There you go. All right. All right here, we go through it. We started what we started. It could be fun every day. We wonder what in the world. Are they going to come up with that? I Senator John Hoven earlier today. Okay. I'm good with that Senator John HOGAN asked him about our frustration last week at the border to say, we go to see where they're supposed to be new border while there is no border wall. We talked to border agents who say, yeah. Catching releases is alive, and well and the numbers are off the charts. So ask him the following this national emergency declaration is an example, which obviously even some of your Republican colleagues. Don't agree with is that the ticket to breaking through the red tape. In other words, does that does that give the president authorities say look the Fisher industry sitting there waiting? You guys aren't doing it. They're gonna do it. I'm gonna declared they're going to do. I guess what we're gonna we're gonna stop. This catch and release stuff that we've been promising for a long time. Can't do those types of things with the national emergency declaration. Yeah. Underlaw canon. It is it is an emergency on the border. Scott is just describe we know that. And it's got to be addressed just like we're talking about the other issue that came up is. Well, you know, the seventy six law that allows you -mergency brought well, certainly we can and are happy to be. That's a separate issue though, changing that law as a separate issue. So he has need to secure the border. He needs the funding to do that. That's why we work to get them the funding, obviously, we couldn't get them the full amount needed. She's taken a digital steps to get that funding for the border wall now separate and apart as far as the checks and balances and addressing the seventy six certainly that's something we can do with that should be done separately. Then securing the border. Your response to his answer. Well, I I'm gonna go visit with him today in Fargo summer ever responsible. And I have a question. So my question to him today will be hey, you said that the President Trump can legally say, hey, Tommy Fisher, this is now your bid. So my question is center HOGAN is what are you going to do to get this done? Are you gonna walk into his office? You runs office last week talking about trade. What can our US Senator from North Dakota due to ensure that President Trump is gonna give this bid to a fantastic, North Dakota company? Right. And by the way, it can be any company, but I don't know of any other this history last week million dollars plus into the demos saying, we can do it and demonstrating they can do it. So clearly, they can I mean just in general private contractors are replacing the core done. All right. Who are we going to hire done? When are you starting go? You know? I mean, exactly. Yeah. I mean, I'm done. I'm really done with this because people are done with it. And I think I think you've got a good suggestion and Senator Kramer sounds much more frustrated about all this. Because he's saying the emergency declaration is going to be challenged in court. So that's going to take time, and you know. We'll have another delay there as well. But I think that's a great question. I'm dying to know his answer. Because I was glad to hear him say that the emergency declaration does allow this and that it is an emergency. So let's go. What's the holdup? Exactly. Right. If you were voting in the Senate in North Dakota today on Sunday opening would you vote for the law to remain as it is or for the law to change and allow Sunday opening you, and I've had this conversation before I would vote to allow to let them be open on Sundays you and I have different in this. I don't think the government should be dictating to businesses when they should be open when they shouldn't be open, and the perfect example, my opinion is chick filet Chick-fil-A chooses. They're not being forced by government there. They choose to be closed on Sunday. I think a lot of people appreciate and respect that they do that. And they probably get more patronage out of people, you know, the go there more often more people because of the values that that company display with the government's not forcing them to do that. They're choosing that as an organization you liked the constitution of the United States. Do you think there's a pretty good roadmap there on how to run our country? Trick question or well. I just wanna because this this is in the history. This is in the century code of the guy goes back forever. And it talks about exactly why we do it. I I I think it makes us unique. I kind of like, I don't I don't worry about not being able to shop at.

"Shrines? Three. There's a Tempe company called Fisher industries and they're hoping to impress the president by building constructing a border fence prototype. Now this happened about one hundred and forty miles north of the Arizona Mexico border. Our own KTAR news reporter, Peter say more was there and actually talked to Fisher industries and Peter joins us now. Peter the first question I have is why why bother with the prototype. Why are they trying to impress the president? Don't they just want the contract and just build the wall? The way the president wants I'm sure they wanna show as well. They want to put up a display of how they can do it. And they're really pumping the fact that they can do this very quickly. So they're saying they can build two hundred thirty four miles of wall or fence in two hundred thirty four days they wanted to show off their for their technique to these federal contract and these federal workers homeland security border patrol types to show that they could put it up quickly. And then it would be secure enough everything from making the steel at this refinery at stinger bridge, and iron and Coolidge. To pouring the concrete that Fisher industries made itself every step of the way and just to show that it it can be done. It was definitely a showcase for sure. And beyond the standard. Hey, we want. We could do this for you just give us contract. Do they build the wall where the wall would be on the border or do they build it in their Tempe company and take it to the border? They would build it right at the border. They showed that they could dig the trench along the border probably about sixty to one hundred feet from the actual border from the actual line. So they could actually stay on the US side dig right there, put the panels of fencing seven of them about eight feet long and eighteen feet tall. So now, you're fifty six feet, then they can put the the metal toward the bottom as well. The the laugh, and then they could insert that into the trench fill it with cement dig deep enough into the trench and make it stand up on its own. Do they have any idea? How much water they would need to put the concrete in. That's a good question. I should've asked that that. Well, that's the that's the important. Not the key. Yeah. It's not about the it's not about it comes down to water. We'd have to run. How are they going to get it hot water to board? Exactly. That's the key component that. I just don't think it's it's feasible. But this company wanted to prove hey, we can do this. And they say it can be done cheaper. That kind of worries me. To do though. Quick and cheap though. Yeah. Yeah. That's the they assemble everything onsite instead of trucking it in concrete or your cement question. They have their own cement mixer. They brought one out yesterday. So I'm sure they're going to have more than that. Right. The they'll bring all the supplies with under the border rather than try to assemble it, all let's say in Coolidge an hour south of us here in central Phoenix. And they would do it all on site without having to assemble it, I which would be more expensive to transport it all assembled lot lot lot more work involved there. They can just set it down on the ground there pick it up put it all together with the excavators. And everything and then just have yourself a border fence. Peterson more KTAR news reporter down in Coolidge where a company Fisher industries hoping to impress the president by building a wall cheaper, faster durable. What was the reaction from homeland security in the border patrol? The official title were mom. I tried to go up to the mom mom. They really didn't want to say a word. They showed. No emotion. I'm guessing that they want to show this to their superiors who then might go to the president after that. Well, look look at it this way, I tweeted at the President Donald Trump just to show them that this was going on no response from him either to me. That's a shock. You really got to respond to the president. That'd be pretty cool. I would think so. But hey, I put it out there. Just like these guys are putting the wall or the fence out there to all right? Peterson more KTAR news reporter, thanks, man. Could see a good to see you. Thanks retired. So Tempe company says they could build the wall cheaper. I, you know, I don't know who I don't know. I don't know where this wall is going to go. If the wall is going to go there so much infighting in Washington DC is he going to have the money other than that one point three billion which right? That's fifty miles wall cares. Yeah. That doesn't make a big difference. No. But Tempe company says they can they can do it. All right. Coming up next..

"To see Fisher industries stinger bridge and iron solution for building that wall Kia wanna build do you want to build it? And what do you say to those that don't do you think enough of us wanted Bill? Why is it taking this long? What possibly could to me? It's it's the humanitarian thing to do. I'm the kind of person that believes every single human being walking this earth is made in the image and likeness of God. So if I treat you poorly, I'm treating God poorly. Okay. That's how I view life and try very hard to make sure that I remember that. So this isn't about I don't like them because the color of their skin coming. No, it's about this is the greatest country in the face of the earth and. We have to protect. What's in? And what's out if we don't amend the opposite? They have you know, open borders is they bring the drugs bring the human trafficking. Bring thugs bring the. The terrorists can't do that. We're protecting what the founding fathers gave us with border security. And I believe actually if you have the wall, it's more humanitarian because you prevent a lot of this garbage. That's happening people are being exploited. I talked with folks here about what most upsets him about the border. It is the fact that people make money they say to you. Okay. Daniel you want to go to America, give me ten thousand dollars. I'll get your wife and and. Daughter's into America, and they shoot you at some point. They rape your wife. The kids are left for dead somewhere. It's awful. Cottage industry. And you have an idea for how you can make our borders, safer one. Is that once we found out the concrete wasn't a BI partisan choice. We went to steal right away and took the same ideas innovations and patented a steel hangar frame, so we can produce steel Bollard fence in a much more efficient way and faster and give a lot longer life by using all weathering steel than what they're getting is this gonna play more of that interview and a little bit. But right now governor by surprise for us. We actually have Tommy Fisher on the phone here. So I thought. The two of you could what happened Daniel. Okay. So. Isn't that? Great governor. How to get things done, you know, better faster and cheaper. 'cause that's what America's about as I've been saying all along we need to have, you know, congress needs to step up and do his job, and it's got to provide. Secure the border. That's what they have to do. Because you know, it's important for all of the first important for all the people who legally immigrated to our country. It's important for all those reasons. And of course, the partisanship on this is really incredible. Cal people voting against that. They voted for before just for, you know, political political reasons, so I I'm hoping if congress will step up and do its job because we have a this is this is sort of step one is in this day and age is secure borders. And and then there's so many other topics that we can work on when we're talking about the trillions and trillions of dollars to spend about on the federal government spends the amount of money is being bandied about here is is miniscule, and we should get on get onto the important things and keep driving the country forward. Tommy Fisher is here, by the way. Tommy good job today. That was fantastic governor Burgum online as well. Good to be with both. You guys today? Yeah. That was that was really something North Dakota was on the stage while governor is there anything that can be done. I know that, you know, Senator hoping he can't say Fisher industries enough to the government agencies. There Senator Kramer same thing from from your from your chair is it just a you know, advocacy for for North Dakota company. What can you do? Well, I think the other thing which I'd be interested in because you know, it's interesting. I think there's a. We got only a few states down there. We got some governors, including in Texas in Arizona that are very supportive of getting done. And so if I if Fisher industries in the you know, I've been talking to Texas or Arizona or abbot I'd be happy to make introductions to those governors because you know, it's a both of those governors..
