"Bishop fisher dot com and we're seeing a relief rally last week, and it's sort of a political sort of play in that the relief rally is not because the president's election but rather the relief rally is because of the fact we've got a divided Congress, and that means it's tougher for new taxes tougher for Things like regulation, and so we projected to have that so far. It looks like it's going to make it. There's gonna be a runoff, but it's gonna be very difficult. T o almost instrumental as they say. Right now, we're gonna talk to Tom Double car in the next break, and he's gonna break it all down force. The meantime, our good friend Sam Natalia. He is the executive president and CEO of a company called Western Magnesium Corporation. They are publicly traded up in the up in Canada on this sex symbol W, N. G and M l Y F here in the United States, But you can go toe West Mag Corp dot com and they have produced the first Speaking of clutch, Russell. Yeah, who is talking about? Green green energy energy. Make American green they have produced Western mag has produced the first green magnesium metal in North America, and they're bringing jobs back North America and it's great to have it. We had him in studio a couple weeks ago, and now we got him back via Skype. How are you, Sam? Good to talk to you, man. Gentlemen, It's good to talk to you. How you doing? Good. Good. So was so give us an update Since we haven't talked to in a couple of weeks, a twist a few days about what's been going on with you. And what do you guys trying to get over the goal line before the end of 2020 and into 2021? Well, we're working hard at getting our first commercialized pilot plant up and running. Obviously, there's a lot of work that goes into it. There's a lot of stuff that we have to do to make sure that the plant is running and meeting our expectations of what it needs to do. But a lot of ground work goes into that. Obviously, our engineers are scientists are working away and making sure that We have the best outcome from this commercialized pilot plant, So a lot of work is going into that at the same time. We're obviously working with different states to look at the first area that we're gonna be putting our first big plant in the U. S. The commercialized pilot plant if you recall from our conversations that that's in Canada And it makes sense for us to have it there at this time, But the big plants will be built in the U. S. And we're also laying the groundwork for that. We're looking at different states. We're looking at different suppliers. We're looking at different Companies that will be working with on the ground in those areas. And our teams are working very hard at making sure that the first sight is a great sight and we can build on that. Develop our efficiencies on that move on to the next site that we're building them explains so a lot of work in 2021. Is there A Is there any issue with respect to going into the winter time and creating this first green, magnesium or you guys just on a roll, the regardless of the season of the year? No it regardless of the season of the year. Whether does not affect us. I mean whether effects supplier sometimes and that's always frustrating for us when when we're working with parts and supplies and things like that, But for us to produce the magnesium, it's it's all indoors and whether it is not offended the one of your biggest one of your biggest. We're stuck with the election before we have in here with you today, but one of the big things for you Because you are a publicly traded company and you serve Canada and the United States is bringing jobs back to North America. He spent some time and then it was one of your favorite topics. Yeah, it is one of my favorite topics. We're very excited about this, because again, we're bringing jobs back to America, but not just bringing jobs that are around temporarily. Or low paying jobs. We're looking at bringing back jobs that are high paying and jobs that will be around for the next 100 years. That's an important issue. I mean, we look at different industries that have really suffered and people are very reactionary Government is very reactionary. Everybody wants to have jobs now, and everybody wants jobs now. But where those jobs are being created on not necessarily servicing the future. I'll give you an example of that. The coal industry at one Point had 950,000 people working it. And now today, there's less than 50,000 people in the coal industry, so we were excited about bringing jobs back, But we're excited about bringing jobs back that will be around for the next 100 years. Hey, Sam, talk to us about the manufacture, supply changes. Look at you look at those opportunities and military and energy technology and aviation automotive. And it's endless talk about the manufacturing supply chain. What does that mean? What's the sale cycle like? And what does it look like? From your perspective for mining all the way to supply Well, we gotta work with so predominantly, we consider ourselves a technology industrial technology companies are real focus is to develop the technology that produces the magnesium metal when it comes to the feed, which is dolomite that we used to extract the magnesium metal from we look to others to mind that on our behalf and work with those companies holistically to bring miss part of our chain, so to speak, and the supply And create more and more jobs around us, not just one company controlling everything. But working with the community around us when it comes to the end, used their whether that's the auto industry, aerospace airline ICO friendly technology company companies like the battery company or even U. S military. We have to start working with them today. Not get to a point where we're developing the metal or we're producing the metal and then go to them and say, Hey,.

"Personally speaking I'm a little bit more worried about other vendors in the space who have a habit of saying cool open source projects that we're going to now take offer as a service and total. Eat up their market because they're trying to do the holy. Business Model, but that's that's illegal Microsoft and Amazon. Olivet cloud stuff is basically commercialization of open source, but we are drifting from the topic at hand, my friend let me just get back on track, so you've called signal sciences right on the on the website of things you went static analysis across everything right including products including websites across the whole lot. What next? So at that point, it's all about it's kind of scaling operates in parallel to a lot of this. You're looking at dynamic analysis. were were continuing to look at that today. It's one of those things where we want to make sure. We're keeping abreast of all of the things that are happening in the marketplace. I'm personally excited to really try and take a look at BURP suite enterprise. I think that when it initially came out, I was kind of like. You know love the products as an individual user, and then you actually wound up in an enterprise role. You went This actually looks good. Price points in return on the investment right so. That stuff, but so so that was happening in parallel. It's get all the code together. Get allstate analyzed. Go ahead and make sure that we actually have. The ability to to do dynamic analysis against a right application footprint, which by the way really great thing to both check against one of two ways, so hey, let's hit that thing that we have hit as an allow list item with dynamic analysis tool just to see. Is there anything there that we actually should be worried about? Yeah, you Kinda hinted at that earlier on in the episode. Right, which is when you are having to allow stuff through two particular applications in signal sciences. Tells you where you should be doing it on testing? Yeah. And it's. It's one of those things that in parallel to all of that last year round mid year we did open up through our friends at blood. Crowd a vulnerability disclosure program. So that does without on Thermo Fisher Dot com slash security. It's under the links on the bottom left. In quite frankly a lot of researchers around the world are are also poking at of these things that we didn't know necessarily we had you get large company. Asset. Management is the number one thing that you can always be doing, and you never know when those sub domains that you thought were Vr offline. And so it's so, you've been putting out on your on your bounty, or is this more just a report mechanism stall things so what I would say is the language that we have up there today. This is be modified a little bit because we don't want to give people. The wrong impression is people. Come to us with really high high impact findings, and they're on sites that are actively being used right. It's not you know some site copyright two thousand twelve. That isn't being used anymore, and for some reason, still online. Okay, yeah, that thing has a problem that we need to pay attention to. which has just taken off line? Yeah, but but those other things that come up that Honestly we. We wouldn't ever know unless somebody brought it to our attention. Because it's functioning as normal we do actually pay occasional bounty sore I. Think you know we. We're at the point now. Where we've got a handful of researchers that have done some really good work. Continue to provide his findings through. Through there and we said you know what they can't do us, because they really care about helping us be more secure company, and yeah, you reward that and that's that's kind of behavior. We look for its. If you want guaranteed payment, don't come look at our stuff because we can't guarantee will pay you for it, but if you do care about providing good work by trying to be a part with us. We reward those partnerships. We look forward to doing that working even redirecting some of those people to to opportunities where it's like. Hey, we actually do want you to maybe take a look at some of these things that we're concerned about because we don't have the resources internally or we don't have the you do that you. Do that with a with a bounty Lua. We do it with the same thing with bounty it's. K- whether you're looking at these things Let's look at you. Know engaging you more especially within that bounty space, and in that same sort of bounty platforms like hey, take a look over there. If you find something here, they might be bucking voice sort of thing. and. It's one of those things that are coming from bug. Crowd Myself Right? I came who Thermo Fisher from bug crowd. I wanted to make sure you're continuing to support the researcher community. Right because I felt that that was very important to do. As a researcher myself on the platform I understood the value there, but at the same time I said look. We're not ready as a company to really just opened the floodgates and say hey, we'll pay on every finding you have like we just. We don't have the the. Ability to do that in a way that I think is scalable ineffective for the company and quite frankly fair to the researcher community, so I said. Let's let's offer out. Let's give people an avenue to tell us what's wrong..

"I don't know if you know my story but I have this purpose chair that I sit in my bring my journals. I've been journaling since I was twenty five and every day I write you know what you know what? I'm doing why I'm doing it you know. Do you want them? I do I go back and read them. I usually when when a journalist full I go back and read it before I put it away and you know that's so nice. Make a few notes in my next Journal and it's Nice. It's also very complicated and confusing like life. You know. It's a simple and it's not like instantly clarifying either questions. Why why they don't get the answer and maybe it comes later like Oh you know it just. It feels right. Do you know do what feels right. Do you still do like the morning. Renewed morning ritual Yadda Tate. I do yoga every morning. Then go to your purpose chair. Then I go to my purpose here journal. I drink coffee and journal. What's the and then? What are you you have like a three word? Is it? Relax breathe released. Oh Oh yeah God I am. I've stopped doing that interesting. Your Time Breathe. Relax feel relaxed. Feel wow yeah God. Thank you for reminding me about that. It's so weird you know you do things and then you stop doing them. Sometimes breath relax feel. I've been doing this little exercise. It's a fun what's between you and feeling free anyway. That's it helps me feel it's waylon between you and feeling free. Yeah what's between the UN feeling free right this minute yeah? I'm feeling a little tension sort of little stress. I can't imagine why and then I do it. I keep doing it and so then it's sort of an exercise. I do I do it with. Gregg does different people. And so you do it. You ask the question and then you see what comes up so first comes up that I'm feeling a little stressed. You know then it might come up. You know what's between me and feeling free. That might come up that. I'm worrying about my business right now or am I come up that. I'm wondering how my daughter's doing or my son you know that's kind of what's coming up and it just helps me to. Kinda in touch with what's underneath. Sort of yeah. What's driving you and what's driving the or what stressing me or what's yeah as you like. Think about Your Business and move. You're talking about this before we started with this great unknown of what's happening and some of the strange. Yeah Strange Times. How do you hold space for people? In Your Company's you guys navigate through those. Yeah we have our little practice. We have a moment of silence. We do before meetings which is really nice and what you know what I do is I. Just keep trying to remind people that you know. We just have to stay on this together and try to work this out together and We're going to get stronger for this and there's some meaning in this and we might not know it now but if we stay together and try to work through it together we'll learn and we'll get stronger. And do you find because I would imagine like leading eleven hundred people there so much projection but is it just part of the culture like People WanNa like they wanna they want you to hold all of their signing them? Yeah and do you. I guess if you are this collaborative community than you probably have many people who can help. That's exactly right yeah I. I don't know that I'm actually good enough at holding people's stress our anxiety. I probably not that kind of leader but we have a lot. We hold people and Culture Department. We have others. Who are really good at you. Know holding the space for people so I just try to give them permission to hold the space for people. Yeah what do you when you think about vision? Twenty Vision Twenty twenty. Yeah Twenty Twenty Vision. I Guess Works. The play on words leased. What's what's what's your next big fantasy goal. Oh Yeah I guess I guess. I'd like to just be fully responsible for all that we do. You know and I'd like I'd like to. I'd like to helpful in terms of helping others. To thrive I think sustainability. And what we're trying to do trying to get the pollutants out and all those kinds of things but I think if I can play a role in helping others to to thrive in this difficult time to know that it's challenging and it's really hard and you know how can we hold a space for ourselves and try to stay calm in the midst and and try to thrive and can we still dance and can we still have. Joy can still wear clothes that let us move and feel good and and be comfortable and all that in the midst of all the all the madness dot. It's crazy out there. It's crazy behind. It does stay. Stay stay focused and stay calm. Stay focused and stay calm and and then I were also at this weird moment in time of like. How do we share collective resources? And how do we create? These great brain trusts across the globe as we all learn how to do things better. You know seems like it's also an unprecedented time for opportunity for everyone to be like. Let's collaborate his worst dependent. And now we have to do it all over the Internet and I guess And these things. Yeah I don't know I feel like I feel like is an opportunity or we're getting an increasing number of opportunities. Yeah rapidly or being desperately called quickly yes and make changes to make changes and that the more we do it together and seems to be help each other. Yes God it's weird depressed in the midst of it all and yeah try to also by beauty and the connection and the the good in in the midst and know that this transformational moment. It's meant to be for some reason and there's some meaning and some good that will come of this. Yeah and that. Hopefully we can all and I know this isn't the seems trite and silly but that we can all find safety in this and realize that collectively we have enough. "And work as Freud said is working love, love and work to and work. Yeah. Well, thanks for being on the show. Thank you for having me die. Best place to go is the anatomy of love dot com or what's the other? Is there Fisher dot com is Helen Fisher, has a link take the quiz, and she's going to add their about your extramarital or extra dating affairs. Right. Senator yet, you're you're going to add their on the quiz at the very end. Tell me about. It would be very interesting to know all of that, you know, it's going to be people like you. It's going to be other people who, who spread it around. You know, bring it into hospitals. Bring it into or business business. That's what I'd really like to get into business. My secret weapon and businesses knowing personality types, I would say, it's the one thing that I never have met a businessperson. That's even one percent is interested. But it's a huge competitive advantage, because the end of the day, all life, making money happiness. All you like quotes. Let me get my last quote. About to ask you about your person on my last paragraph. But this is if I could give one. Yeah. It's tough. Well, we'll give you the quote, give you this one about people. And this is this is actually a maybe to pessimistic for you, but it brings up another point is from the moveable feasts from Hemingway. This is when he was happiest life is a story when he's young and married and in love, and he was living in. I think France when spring came even the full spring, there were no problems except where to be happiness. Happiest the only thing that could spoil a day was people. And if you could keep from making engagements each day, had no limits, people were always, the limiters of happiness, except for the very few that were good as the spring itself. So I agree with you. Here's my point also. I agree with you. Good. Here's my final two words that I would leave to the world. Choose. Well, that's a nice one. Your career your friends your mate your investments. It's all filtering, so the person who becomes the best that choosing. I think the best have the courage to get rid of what doesn't work. That's right. And goes almost every she was again, don't even get rid never start. Never never life is, is wherever it'd be happiness, except for meeting bed people and by bad. I mean exploitation of. And if you study evolution those all all science that in general groups want to exploit each other. And so making your way in this modern world is much more about never letting I think of it as a bubble like a hamster wheel, your this hamster rolling through the world and it should be hard to get into that bubble. But if you can get good people in that, Bob, everything works out business partner. You find the wealthiest people in the world had great mentors and great business partners. No exit. You know the play. No, maybe it wasn't sort. It's called no exit. Well, this guy goes to, you know, dies and goes to hell and what hell is, is a small room with three other people in it that he hates? That they all hate each other. Oh, yeah. Hell is other people? That's fine. Hell is other. Yes. The same. Oh man. I gotta look it up. I'll know next time I see you. Well. Hopefully everyone chooses well and yeah, everyone finds the love and in that way. But this was good. We needed to talk more often. Well, thank you. Well, happy to thanks for being here. I'm delighted..

"Right in the end for me with Israel the yelling port. Okay, cool. Maybe I'm a little numb to that. You know in the grand scheme of what this is. But why is your finger in my face right now. And I don't think that any of the people who are defending Tom Izzo under this circumstance would ever allow somebody to put a finger in they face in. They wait without at least slapping it out of the way. And that's where those people lost me if the idea is he's just trying to get the best outta them. Well, Joe balls try to get the best out of you. No matter who it is everybody who says there's not a damn wanted to work at a place where somebody cares that much about getting the best out of or were they care so much about being that they're being their best that they want somebody to put a finger in face and leave a side. Even the fact that this is a power dynamic that is toxic and very unequal, unpaid athlete. Student versus a multimillionaire, coach, right? And these coaches are usually the guys who do want protection, they hate it as a class of people when we criticized they're headed Gaji and their methods. But I ask you this. If your methods result. In in this entire controversy. Just publicly forget about whether it worked or not if you has to answer to this in this way, or this long. Isn't it tell you that wasn't that? Great. So the problem here is the kid didn't know what he was talking about. But like literally like, Tom, I don't understand you. But you gotta remember this about screamers the ones that last get away with it because their players legitimately believed that the coach cares about them. The problem is that's the story of a lot of abusive relationships. Number eighteen. How big a fourth quarter lead the Celtics blue against the Hornets on Saturday night. And here was kyri after the game asked about stopping Kemba Walker. Listen. Cumin visit on like that how tough is he to stop? It's one on one pride. You know, down the stretch try to come in and help as much as possible. She you're probably trapped him a little bit more like every other team does. And we know we didn't. Torches us every time we blame too. What was your reaction to kyri there? I mean, he's got a point right? Brad. Stevens was asked after that. Brad. Stevens is not so worried about that. But it is worth noting three straight losses for the Celtics. And they were down some guys last night. But y'all told me they fix everything on the plane with that players only meeting. Everybody was feeling good is right. Apparently, it wasn't that fixed. No, I read the athletic story by j king that ran down this particular incident. And if you change the date from March to February I would not have been able to tell the difference Marcus Morris after the game complaining about how there's dysfunction Brad Stevens talking about not enough defence kyri again motivating in public when it should be in private. They my losing first round. In closed fad a bit of a strained relationship. With the fans at a Carolina Hurricanes is a long story. But anyway, now did the case of the side of the Ables fun team in the NHL. I could say it we all Katie eggs. You've been seeing the stuff they do games. They win games. They decided to do fun stuff. Right. And so North Carolina basketball. That's what's up. So here they brought a goal out. Look, this is actually I think a pretty impressive feat of athleticism from a man. On our nulla Guinness. Look at his go bring it to the rack, y'all man. That's a big do with pads on skates and their go set the screen somebody rotating over though, and they're doing this after the games.
