"Before six and there is a bit of a feud going on between Fishel's here in the state and the people who depend on restaurants for a livelihood you can understand that governor Pritzker wants restaurants to remain closed at least through the entire month of June but some people like the president of the Illinois restaurant association Sampdoria wants to move that date up a little bit we had a chance to talk to Sam late in our broadcast yesterday and here's a little bit of what he had to say I asked him if he plans on talking to the governor anytime soon you know we've we've talked to some of his office told us some of the governors are the numbers over the weekend all more glory you don't get in our plans together and stuff like that we're looking at you know like Indiana's opening this week obviously taxes open tennis she's open I was open he George's opening she wanted she would debut even if we thought we could open it could even be in early June that's still another twenty days away so let's see what happens in these other states and the coal bed nineteen goes up by all means you really need to health and safety of our citizens our customers our team members is the most important but like I said we have twenty days let's see what happens geez neighboring states like Indiana and I would have told me and let's talk about all central Illinois and southern Illinois in March general white and then obviously northeastern alike were wrapped into Chicago land area and see if we you know we we can open with limited she maybe we can just your shooting with all outside body and we can close some streets and parking lots what they're doing like in Tampa Florida sure there's a lot of ideas we could talk about but always keeping the safety of our customers and citizens and members at the parkland like I said health and safety is always number one yeah makes sense to take a wait and see attitude why not when you hear about very successful famous restaurateurs like Rick Bayless saying he had to lay off two hundred fifty people you cannot but thinking about the the smaller Monpa independence family businesses and how this is affecting them and I know what do you say here in the paper I read a quote from you Sam you said if if we go until the end of June it could be forty five percent or more restaurants that never re open and and as you say restaurants are the soul of every neighborhood in Chicago so you know we are independent restaurant town we are not to be a chain restaurant town like which she engines or Tampa were very independent restaurant town and all of our seventy seven they will just look at these great neighborhoods and restaurants throughout the city Chicago electoral stand and Hyde Park and Logan square and Avondale obviously the west loop in river north in late he would get all I do not agree thank you in Japanese to park all over the city Chatham's captain great.

Yeah okay do you have any other self-care rituals that you feel are important to you like you that you do every day or every week. I think you're blowouts are definitely my blogs definitely are. I feel like that is an insane indulgence that I've just allowed myself because it may. It makes my life so much better. Whatever that's my thing I'm also big. We talked about meditation. Good morning meditation. I consider it also like a form of prayer and just me being in full connection with God mother Earth Spirit whatever you WanNa call it I'm big into that starting my day. I need thirty minutes of solitude time before I start my day so like my son gets up at six. Am every day. I'm up at five thirty and I have my cup of coffee and meditation and Mike Quiet Time and then the day can start but like I don't even I mean there are days I get up at four o'clock it like if I'm directing and I have to leave my house for work by six thirty or seven o'clock it's like in order for me to be able to have time to get my son up. Make sure he's ready for the day and for me to have my quiet time. It's like you have to get up before him. But it's it's not yeah. It's not wet skipping. Wow that's really impressive. I knew I had a feeling when we were emailing about you coming in that. You'RE GONNA WANNA come in early because moms love and early time. Don't they moms love and early me? I'm like wake up. Loser podcasters Wesley. By Day. No I actually have a really good regimen about time but anyway that's lovely. Thank you for sharing that with us. I have one more thing I wanted to tell you. And then I want you to tell us everywhere where we can find. Be Free your social media so this is a very exciting thing. I'm about to share. Okay there is a lore involved with my show about Shiloh buff. Okay so I'm a fan. Yeah and my heart sort of beating. So everyone that lives in. Nashville knows that I stole Shiloh. Buffs email address from a phone okay and emailed him personally and then he wrote me back and he was going to do a show with me it you see. He ended up having to cancel but I took his. I took his email from a phone. I I have never revealed whose phone I stole it from but because you are here I feel. It is important for me to share that. The person who's phone I took the email from. What's your husband? That is so funny. This was many years ago. This was at Ehrmann Gatti's house. Which at the time was Dan? Harmon's house okay who we are. Actually in starboard studio right now owned by Dan Harmon. Dan Harm used to be married to my for an errand who I'm assuming is also with your husband probably air McAfee. I lived in Ireland now but yes so she was having a bachelor viewing party. Okay there were tons of people. I don't even watch the bachelor. I just went to be social and elastic heart. Had just come out. The video was shy and I was like have y'all seen elastic heart and I made everybody watch it and then your husband said Oh you know what is crazy because your husband owns an art gallery. He said I was just emailing. Were shy because he wanted to do his exhibit at my at my gallery. You should read this email. He's like it's wild. Let me pull it up and show you. He shows me the email and I click on the name. See the email address and I memorize co quick and I think he said did you just take his email and I think I go and I think he just kind of looked at me and walked away. I don't need to deal with this right now. That's the only time I've ever talked to her husband. He wouldn't recognize you from Adam but I was like that. Jensen Karp is a connected guy. I have shies emails so then I calculated the plan. I was like okay. Should I email them? Should I not? Should I say where I got it because I but I didn't? I didn't say I didn't address it. I just said. Hey I'm doing the show I didn't say like we're I've got his email because I was thinking what's the worst could happen. He writes back knows. Where did you get this email? He's going to do ignorance block you. He wrote me back in seven minutes. Great he's awesome. You know him. Well I know him from child. I did meet him but I also only know him. Vicariously through Johnson and Johnson. Recently reconnected. Johnson did thing where he kind of made fun of shy when he when he put the paper. I right. That's what I'm talking about the gallery. Jensen made fun of him. And it really like hurt. Shaya and so shy recently went into K rock. My husband is gone and Kevin in the morning with Alan Jackson and Shaya came in and Jensen got to apologize to him. Because it really. You know my husband's also an path and was so and it's hard because we're trying to be funny and entertain people and it's mainly the sense that he really gets right. Something you've done. Well now we know that show has been through some shit you know. It's easy to kind of make fun of somebody but really there. Were some some hard pain? They're totally and he's super like he's he's an artist and he was really really yes and he was very serious about it and he he had a real message with it and Johnson just thought he was kind of being funny. You Johnson was being funny and goofy anyway so alone. Everybody made fun of that. Can you know everyone's making fun of it? But anyway so I've now like I have such and we've watched all of his movies. We've seen honey boy and we watch Falcon and now I'm like a major major major fan. Shy could maybe with a new email address. Because I'm really needed seven minutes so I think maybe he changed it which I know celebrities changing the Law Weirdos like me find him so I'm not going to request that we all hang out invite myself over and like maybe shy it can come over. I'm not going to go that far. But if y'all go bowling great you know because I am GonNa find all bird over. Why not sure. Yeah live in a place where birds are regularly parked outside interesting interesting. I'm adding this to my list so I had to share that. I feel like the honeys would like to know the identity person didn't know I was taking. It wasn't like let me do. It was a snake. Move very funny in Hollywood people. People you gotTa make your move. I mean Cheyenne himself. He used to make fake calls as an agent to pitch himself. That's how he got his first manager. Show would appreciate my diligence getting his email. Exactly you know and I respected him. I I left him alone pretty much. With the exception of that was you know. We all slips. It's fine there are a lot of stories. I could could tell. I tried to go to acting class. It's whole your real stand. You know but I'm trying to be respectful. We have been the same room three times within the past few months. And you didn't say anything. No he literally was like I didn't exist. He looked straight through me. He loves straight through me. I think he knows I think he's like this. I don't know but you know what getting a restraining order. You know. What if I got the paperwork I waited here? Yeah right exactly I follow rules. I'm a rule follower. Oh you don't WanNa be shiny true true so let's talk a little bit. I know your mother's and makeup my mom's making fun is that by the way it's even cooler because she's not a makeup artist from like the time she was a kid. My parents got divorced after being married for thirty years. My mom was in her late fifties and something she had always wanted to do. Her whole life was being makeup artist but when she was a kid that would have been like what she did after high school. Her parents were like no. You have to have a you know you can't work in a trade profession and she just decided I'm I I know I'm late to start a career but I'm going to do it. And she went to make up school and she graduated and she has a bridal beauty makeup business that she started herself and she is so stinking successful. I mean honey. We Love Divorce Comeback Story Ron right we really I mean I. I'm living it. That is so cool. She's she's incredible. So did she give you products to try like A. Does she ever be like? Oh my Danielle you need to try this Kramer like he does at Christmas. She gave me a face oil to try to dissolve my makeup and she was like okay. I bought this for you because as a stocking stuffer because I also bought it for me to be honest. It's not my favorite. But I gave it to you anyway. And here's my favorite. If you WANNA try favorite. So she's good about that and then also my my makeup my regular megabucks who I've been working with for over ten years is also like incredible. Her name's Julie Cuomo and she is gives me so many makeup tips and tricks and products to try to do your make your wedding. She did yeah and it was absolutely. And it's like my my bridal. Makeup was like my favorite makeup day. Ever so gorgeous thank. You don't don't think I didn't stock that that wedding. Oh I stopped. I even texted. I said hey you got any footage of John Mayer singing. She said Oh I sure. Do I taped the whole thing? And she sent me the whole Clinton all we on see. I know it was funny because we asked people to keep their phones down during our ceremony. And then when John was performing we were like. Oh Yeah you guys should definitely. Wouldn't you right definitely take your phones out in record? John Performing. I mean I'm glad you were into that. I didn't know if I was going to get in trouble now. Lawrence very thorough. Yeah we asked everybody to us by the way even though we had them professionally. We wanted to see everybody's put it. Well if you want to see the one I got you why not. It was really beautiful. So what are some of like your go-to day to day things like what you? What are you wear every day? Okay every single day I wear. Skin suit acquittals sunscreen. It is utterly body to Pango sunscreens every day and say I would never consider walking outside of the house. Both my parents by the way have had like pre-cancerous I just. I am so big. Are Protecting yourself from the sun. I do not leave the house without sunscreen and I love. The skin suit equals one because it has a tiny tiny little bit of Tint. So if I'm having a great skin day which happens you know a couple times a month if I'm lucky if I'm having a great skin day I'll just just the tinted sunscreen and feel confident tint just to see what feels exactly and we live so lame. I can decide that. Nobody said that just the tint needs to be a name of a product. You're right you're right okay. Stolen daughters told. Yeah it's done seeing that So aware that I also where Bare minerals their Their complexion rescue is like my favorite thing. I've been wearing bare minerals product. It wasn't foam. It was like a it was just a cleanser it was Ki- was creamy and it just dissolved everyday and I felt like it was truly one. Step like to use an eye makeup remover. It took off MY NASCAR at took off every eyeliner and it was just one step But now I'm using like the birds have been using birch beam oil which I don't love the smell of the D. H. C. Oils. Actually my my favorite of the oils I also have Versed makes a dissolving day bomb. That I've been using that. I really like that's great because you can get that at target. We love our target of target. So much live across the street from one and I'm there all the time. I'm trying to figure out where you live based on the dry bar. I'll ask for some more clues. Do you buy a Boston Market Bank. What kind of bank is it a bank or a bank? Yeah so I use that and then Argon oil. Oh no I also use a toner skins articles and toner to just take off anything. That didn't come off with my one of my many bombs and then Argon oil that I buy on Amazon. Yes well. You're pretty low mate check really low mate again. Was this before the baby before the baby I used more products and when I was in high school by the way I used to use like what's Rodin and feel people the way. Adam Levine. Does the commercials your own active? I use PROACTIV. I've used a bunch of different stuff and then dried you out. And then researching natural ingredients that promote hair growth. There is peppermint in it. So it's really tinguely rape and if peppermint is an Allergen or an irritant for you obviously than than you may WanNa stay away from And peppermint unfortunately seems to be a pretty common irritant for people. So that's the one caveat I tell everyone again. I'm using the shampoo initiatives shampoo conditioner but it is in the scout refresh. So I do again. I'm very big on transparency. Well I wash every no sooner than five days I really on the on site you tonight. Oku I washed for you. It was like honey. We're talking here. I'M GONNA wash. It looks really five. I Say I heaven. Yeah see I mean. Seven is honestly my usual. Yeah five is if I'm like that's so is all your hair? Well because I'm dry I don't. I don't get super oily by like day five. I'm like all right. It definitely starting to look like it could be washed. Yeah but so you do a top. Not you wear a hat bag over your head. You know. Do your best. You want to know my real secretive. Course if I'm on day five or six and I've got something I need to do but I do not have time to either go to dry bar which I do all the time. It's my number one treat to myself that I don't like to wash. It takes a long time. My arm gets tired. I hear you. I bring my products to Q. Okay but my big secret is I just wash the crown of my head. I separate my so. I'd like from above from side of my ears up in a straight line like where. I put a headband separate. That put it in a rubber band. Pull the rest of it back style that like however I want to then hold it back and then just in my sink wash just this front part and re blow dry and style and it will get you two days. What are you put on your hair to hold the rest of it back? So he doesn't get wet just like a rubber band. So have one of those Shower caps that's open at the top of Tozzi. Is it tosses famous on ash view. Those mother fuckers need to send me something because you know the number one if you go on Amazon and you searched hoc- it says people have also bought and it's three other products that I talk about national power the honeys. I'm telling you toss. Where are Y'all Josse? Y'All don't have a damn why did I I? I get them from my mom every Christmas their bathroom. Beyond like telling you Alison Becker who you might know she was. She told me about the TASSIE and it has sent a ripple effect through this country. It's the best everybody loves a damn tosses. Everybody say I have a leopard one that I'm wearing currently elaborate one. We're we are tossing we are. Oh I'm telling you okay. So wash that front of it and it's like I feel like that to me. Feels like a dirty or secret than seven days of that washing my hair for some reason just telling people like oh just watch this front part that people really notice. Yeah that's James. I learned from another naturally guest I believe it was your hard stark from my favorite murder. Yes she told me about. Sticking your bags in the sink. I'm like Oh my whole life thirty something years and I didn't know you could only watch some of your talk. The patriarchy Israel keeping secrets genius. I'm GonNa try that do it so great because I mean I just don't have time to do the whole kit and caboodle right before you had your baby. Were you still only once a week? Yeah Okay Yeah Yeah. I was still only washing once a week. Yeah but like I said my number one thing is I just I honestly? I go to drive our once a week. It's methane impressive. And if I can't for whatever reason if I'm like oh I try to think ahead like okay. I don't WanNa get too and so my trying to go on a Wednesday or Thursday and I think oh but I've got something I need to do on Monday and now it will already been like four or five hundred you know then I just think okay. I'll just wash that front part of it. Whatever but anyway so I wash every five to seven days. Sometimes you can go longer do that. I use my scalp refresh twice a day in the morning and at night and I use it as a dry shampoo replacement because I hate dry shampoo and this is really good at absorbing oil. It's it looks like an oil but it is not. It's more like a tonic It dries really quickly. You don't use it in the shower no you. Don't lose it in the You. Use It on dry hair you can use it on wet hair like if you've just taken a shower and you. WanNa put it on your wet hair blow dryer however you're gonNA style your hair. Let it air dry whatever you can do that but you use it on dry hair once or twice. It's so it's so fun and especially if you like play. I play with my hair a lot. I put my hands in my hair in flipping my hair back and forth And you get that like my scalp is bothering me. I've been messing with my hair. It's very soothing and the number one thing I've heard from people has been thank you for solving my flaky. Scalp problem it's honestly the number one feedback. I have from all of the product so in the shampoo. The conditioner 'EM SCALP refresh. There is stuff specifically to target flaky. Dry Scout Yeah because that was like my number one complaint. So you're saying the snow is finally going to clear up and I really do think it will in this mountaintop. I think that's exciting. I can't wait. I can't wait for you to try. I can't wait so okay. Let's say you're in the shower. Yes you wash U. CONDITION. You get out. What do you do next okay? I flip my hair upside down and put it into a towel. Okay then leave my hair in a towel for like forty five minutes because my hair is very porous from all the highlighting. I've been doing it. It takes me forever to get the water out then after forty five minutes of being in a towel then I take it down and I separate it into so many section you really are like Oh dr are I mean when I do it myself exactly how. I've always done it. I start at the bottom though. I think they usually dry the front first and then work their way back which is probably smart but not the most convenient for me so I started the back and put everything just all in a clump on top of my head and work in sections with a round brush like a two inch round brush and blow dry the fan. I blow dry it. Wow Yeah and then I usually have like big Texas volume. Yes so I tried to tame that down as much as possible. What if you didn't vote are your hair? What would happen? I'll I'll show you. I recently instagram. To picture of. What would happen if I didn't blow dry it? I have to use a ton of product like a wave cream or something. Yeah I have to put a ton of that in and a lot of scrunching and even then the problem is if I let it air dry because my hair is so porous twenty four hours later my head. My hair is still wet. Like wow my scalp. So can't really do that. I have to use a diffuser then any like will I could have just blown dry my hair right so the hardest part for me of letting it of not doing anything to it is what it looks frizzy. I don't like the way If I don't use any product and if I do use product it's still just super wet. I mean your hair is so sleek. I don't see any breakage at all thank you I mean I told you I have these little baby. Here's here but I think this is this grow. Oh Wow but is crazy that you blow dry so much and yet it's only seven to every seven days there because it's because you know I. Yeah I'm not. Yeah once a week. I guess it's still a lot but every day. Yeah if I know people who do every yeah listen we try to do our best okay? I'm really excited about everything he just said. If you were going like a Glam moment like we're talking like a a level ten event. What would you do for your hair? Then anything different man. You know what No. I'm just now realizing I'm just now realizing that like they're probably are things that people do like masks and things to like and I'm just again I'm not I didn't know maybe but I mean like I A- wise you ever do way. Oh I love a good wave as a matter of fact. That's my that's my go-to yeah. Look for even just I see my hairdresser calls The Not so done a Ha- wave. Look she calls it supermodel off duty. Oh Yeah like Oh. I've been on my runway. Which kind of what your hair is you? I was like. She's got supermodel off-duty hair. It's like it was waived yesterday and today it just looks perfectly must right. This is air dried ASLI so top of my head with a sense cheese so lucky and we did our best. I don't really order here that much because I only have three hairs so it's not hard. I wouldn't blow dry my hair if it looks like that either. Yeah oh on. I wouldn't if my hair like that without me. Blow drying it. I would never blow dry. My hair did everybody here that you know you're going to isolate my song. I'm going to isolate that. It play it every morning while I do my meditation that I don't do right. Yeah let me say it for you in a calmer voice do if my hair looked like yours I would never blow dry my hair dreams. Come true did you know that. Thank you I'm going to take one more break. We'll be right back honeys. I'm here to tell you about best fiends. Best fiends as a game on your phone. You'RE GONNA love if you're like me you're gonNA keep playing. I'm on level four ninety eight. That's right I'm on level. Four Ninety Eight. We all like to take a break every once in a while and.

"We're back. What did they tell you? I told you it was quick. Okay so let's talk your hair journey and why you started to be free. Take us to the day honey. What inspired this because like I said you have lots of hats on. Had you wanted to start a beauty bread? You know honey. No I'm Maltin. Okay we're busy so what I mean like I said you have iconic hair. Tell us kind of how it all started. Okay so I had been approached in eighteen years and beyond about at different times doing collaborations. Would you like to lend your face in hair to our company and then we can do this and I'd never done it for a couple of reasons one. I'm super selective about what I lend my name and face to because if I don't love or use something myself I'm not going to tell you about it. I just don't. I'm really big on offense. It's just don't truthfully I don't know any other way to be if I'm in a situation where like I was worried. I wouldn't be able to hide the fact that I was going to be Chris that I was going to be Super. I and I didn't it was because I haven't been able to hide it. Interviewed Woulda gone off. The rails wanted to run out screaming. If you like. I'm high. We need another gas. Maybe I could interview the receptionist because we're fuck no. I'm so glad you could have said something. Oh no no. No women never speak up that I looked down a lot and then I would have liked twiddled my ears. It would've just been uncomfortable for me. You probably wouldn't have really even notice but I would have an impact. Okay Okay Okay. Then you definitely would have we would we would have picked it back up. Yes so I've never done that in the past and I'd never also wanted to start something because I to be honest. I'm not like a hundred percent into beauty and fashion. Yeah I'm a simple. I like to wash my face. Have bare minimum makeup on. Unless I'm going to invent I'm not great at putting on my own makeup. I barely know how to get like do. I hear for somebody's wedding. You know so the idea of creating a line was like no and then I found out. I was pregnant and I went. We went to our first ultrasound appointment and I did not know that in your very first appointment when you're like eight weeks pregnant You get to hear the heartbeat. You can hear the heartbeat so early on. I didn't know that and so I went and I heard my son's heartbeat and all of a sudden it was like. Oh every single decision I make about my life and my body is affecting something much bigger than me now. Baby that was probably the size of a cherry or something right exactly. Yeah I love that I mean. Isn't there an APP that tells you what fruit your baby is actually called? Adler poppy seed for my entire pregnancy. Because we were pregnant. He was the size of a poppy seed. There you go. That's very tiny so it's like oh wow and so by the way like we found out we were pregnant at like four weeks so only four weeks later. He was barely bigger than a puppy seat at the time that you could hear his heartbeat and so I was like. Wow you know. I had already heard that you're supposed to try to limit the amount of caffeine. There's all these things they tell you what to do. Do you have to not eat Sushi? Can you not he deli meat? Left then your head for three hours or nine clap three times and exactly and you're willing to do anything like that point and luckily all I thought of was okay. I'm GonNa go home and at least look at what I'm using Because you know your skin is the largest organ you know like let's just at least look through stuff and I started in my shower. I downloaded the dirty am and I started scanning things and yeah a lot of the products I was using solid eight out of ten like all in bright red alert and whereas before I had just been like. Ignorance is bliss. I like these things. I'M GONNA use them And my hair looking at home lines. Here's looking good. I'm not. I'm not struggling with having hair issues. and then. I was like okay. I I'M GONNA. I need to do something. But I still didn't think about starting align basically texted my best friend. Who's very health conscious? And she's in nutritionist. And she has kids. I was like what are you using? She's like I'll tell you I hate it. And then I kept asking people and I kept getting similar responses or exactly. It's an and honestly I'm not using it because it's an I'm using the bad stuff even though I know I probably shouldn't I'm still using that. And then after asking enough people and then trying did a. Google search bought eight products online. That were natural. Shampoos and conditioners tried them all scandal them all And then realized some of them that said that they were natural or mostly natural. Were not I'm telling you? I just had some chemists in here and they were telling us all about like how to code ingredients. They pass certain tests but there are other things and it's terrifying and fragrance even for example like synthetic fragrance is considered a trade secret so what goes into your synthetic fragrance doesn't have to be revealed. All you have to say is that you have fragrance in it and anything could be in there so rat pace. Sure I don't know that Zach rat pig. I don't know if that would make the fragrance degree. Good foot maybe. Have you ever smelled a sick rats piston? I haven't either. It might be really beautiful. You're right it could be the smell. I Love The hot new ingred twenty twenty so I knew right away. I didn't want to have that stuff in my line. And so that's that's what started it. My baby's heartbeat was really like my motivation. And so what did you do like? How did you Google starting a hair company? Like I don't know again so why date is pretty wild. Because I had no idea what I was doing well I knew I. I had a couple of things brand values. Okay I'm not GONNA have fragrance. I'm I wanted to be made in the United States and Vegan like. These are some things I was like here. Space Things And Yeah so made in the USA so then you have to find a lab based in the US. And I was like. I don't have an chemistry labs. It's not easy. Just go outside and scream. Hey exactly yeah. Luckily I am a manager. I asked him if he knew anybody who had ever started a hair care line and he did. He knew of somebody on your life had had started a hair care line and so I reached out to him and he knew of a lab in the United States and so he's the one who connected us. Thanks manager Yep sometimes you just got to have a manager tell you. That's that's what managers do they man a. They know everybody. We love that. Okay so tell us about be free. There are three products in the line. Yes we have five in the works. We're very excited about. Hopefully be rolling them out later in the year. But we're still in the testing phase So yes we have a shampoo conditioner and a Scalp Refresher. Okay tell me about that.

To do you know kids like wove hemp bracelets with Topeka's hair are Voodoo doll over over. We like put them in ZIP chunks of my hair and Ziplock baggies and gave them away to audience members. No idea what we were thinking. While that is very ninety they could probably clone. You met here now exactly so if you ever walked down the street and you kind of see somebody that's gone. I'm going to start using that. As an excuse me that was rapport clone hair clone. Yeah sorry guys yeah. Wow that is crazy. Yeah that scene so so I was wondering if it was a whig or not because it was like. Would they trust you to hold the scissors? When you cut through that hair on those were in your hand I mean what was going to your head like was it liberating or were you terrified. I wasn't terrified but I was like so fun. You've seen those movies where women lose their minds and they just start shopping. Yeah how is the only thing I'd ever cut was like paper I was had that feeling like this is much harder to get through anticipated ahead. It was going to be like one line with slice and it wasn't. I had to like really shopping. Era Yeah and then We had more scenes to film the next day before I got my official like perfect haircuts and so I had to go home. That night with the choppy on even hair and we went to like dinner after an. I remember being like oh. This is so weird. People are wondering what is going on with girls hair but probably nobody cared. It was just me so I so interesting because I feel like they could just put a wig on you and that would have been the end but you know Michael was really big on like heat for example one of the things he hated as he hates them. Those fake paper grocery bags you see on. Tv show they don't make sound he's like it just takes me out of it every time. I can tell you're carrying a fake paper bag saying like Empty luggage empty mugs. Where there's no food or like it's so it just takes that you're driving. You're not even looking at the road exactly so he didn't want that. I he was like people will tell wig. I don't I don't want I want it to be real if we're GONNA do it. We got it. Let's do it so I'm so glad we did. I mean that's pretty cool so why we're talking to Panga. Might as well just talk about her for a little bit because I have to say this or my sister will kill me. Nice sister was literally to Pango. Center was a vegetarian. She was the only one going over taxes like when she was twelve. She relates to demand. Go so much and I know you probably get that. So much from especially like elder millennials. Because like you were kind of like this icon of like wow. It's cold to be smart. It's cool to care for hunter staff. So are you happy now? Okay well and I mean good for her because yeah they're paying a really was like the first especially child feminists. Yes on tele- Johnny. I have a list here of quotes. It is so wild how progressive women's world truly was first of all to Panga proposed to Corey. Yep Okay can we just say that? That is happening all the time now. I have friends who were opposed to their husbands. The nineties keep up. Sweetie Okay and did you. Have you heard about this thing now? I guess this will probably be out after that. But apparently on February twenty-ninth leap year. It's like acceptable quote unquote for women to posted there man. That's the thing I read it on Lady Gaga Instagram. I don't know really Japan in the nineties. Mostly probably not on a leap year. I'm Robbie nut boy meets world talk about divorce Let's see I think my favorite part of boy meets world was The important impact teacher has a CIA in a child's life there's interracial dating there was a child abusive sexual harassment. There was underage drinking. I mean at the time. Did you realize slash appreciate while in it that that was kind of happening that this was different than other shows or how important that was. No yeah no I couldn't. I couldn't possibly see outside of the bubble that we were that we were in I knew that we knew that the writing was really good. Knew that we knew that when we would get our scripts We were like. Wow these are just good right from day. One and The way things would be wrapped up in twenty two minutes but didn't have that Super Saccharin like Oh look at this. It didn't necessarily feel super convenient. It felt like a well rounded story. We knew the writing was good but we had no idea how different it was from everything else that was on TV and we also had no idea really that anybody was even paying attention because we would film in episode. It wouldn't error for four months later. There was no social media. We weren't necessarily like we didn't have any way for people to tell us what their thoughts were on it. The live tapings. They people who saw the episode couldn't tell us later. You know what I was thinking during that time how this affects our lives. Hey I think the second act brag needs some work exactly which now we get. That stopped watching the show now. We didn't have that kind of feedback so We just felt I mean honestly I felt like it was a show. I did for my grandparents. They watched right. Didn't know who else was watching so it wasn't until really close to the show being off the air that we didn't start we'd like people started recognizing us more and we started getting people like telling us their stories and what the show meant to them until that time we had no idea what you're putting your head down and work exactly joy. Curly is wild. Some of the stuff. That was covered. Yeah and and done in such a thoughtful way as well. Yeah Pretty Awesome. We didn't talk down to the audience which I'm proud of you like. It felt like you were going like they were going through it with you as opposed to going through it for your sake. Like here's here's how many talk you through this kind of thing? Which is You know not talking down to your audience is important. Yeah and I feel like a lot of shows in that era kind of did that so agreed. You know what? Forget y'All okay. We keep it real around here okay. We're GONNA talk about here. I'm going to take a really quick break by quick. Quick a Yes hunnings. Hi How are you? I'm here to tell you all about hemp fusion because honey the name says that all you might be curious about. Cbd You've been wondering what you should buy should pull the trigger. I read a bunch of stuff to let your eyebrows. Go back and it was like. You cannot plucked a single eyebrow so I think it was like four months that I basically hid my tweezers for myself and just wore a low headband. Yes or whatever happens happens and they filled in and then I went and did a Mike and I was there forever and the poor woman. Doing it was like. I'm sorry but your skin is not taking inc. My skin was thoroughly yes. People are not accepting sure. Told me this before you came in but so it like it didn't work. It all fell off. You know it's like basically like a tattoo it just went away. Luckily my eyebrows grew back in. Wile E. C. Okay so I have micro bleeding. It's three years old and it is not going anywhere opposite you really and in that little tuft of hair or fake hair. There's one new hair in three years. They walk back. Have you used? Have you put anything on them? Like have you only God damn oil and cream and everything. They're dead I killed them. Oh it's great. I would never know that also beautiful bangs so brow flick is brow flick something different than boy. Oh Yeah what's that Ralph Flick is the new one. It's I in my car. It's a pen it. Has I draw the little hair. I've seen her sunny hair Straw. Those hairs. Wow you're good with that thank you. I've gotten better because it takes him. Finessing Yeah but I've been filling in those hairs honey and thank you for the bank. Holman of growing them out. I Love Them. They look great poff banks but I I have the tiniest head you can cut him way back. But why do that then? I'm just into my nineties. Feathered riotings situation and. We don't read us at that. You know what everything comes back in fashion. The last question I ask every guest is. What's your favorite thing about yourself? Oh Man My favorite thing about myself is that I am like a compulsive self improver I just Panga. Yes kind of like yeah. We're very similar Yeah I really am one of those people who like I love self help books. I know my husband may disagree with me but I feel like if somebody brings up something and says this is a flaw of yours and I'm able to recognize it and say yeah it is. I actually will put in effort to change it. Yeah so I think that's maybe the best thing about myself you know what? We love an exploration of ourselves. The just do it. Life's too short to not constantly be changing like by not. Just try to be the best. I agree that sounds great to me. You Know Yup great answer okay. Let's talk hair okay. Okay so growing up. How did you feel about your hair? From the time I was young I knew I had good hair because we ever because people told me that I I was too. I had hair all the way down to my trash and roles and it was. Yeah it was a toddler toddler hair and so I heard that a lot like oh look at her hair. Oh look at her hair. But I didn't really like I didn't think I attached to it too much until I cut it and then I felt like well. Now what do I hide behind? You know like how sure did you cut it. I mean not short at all. It was here but it had been all the way down to my buddy for pretty much my entire life. Yeah and then I cut it on boy meets world. I have a note here. Yeah I cut it but you fit okay. So we're discussing in case you're not familiar with the lore of boy meets world. There was a scene in season. Four where do you were making a point to? Panga was making a point like your boyfriend. Corey was saying. Oh I hear is ugly. You don't know what it's like and you said well what if I cut my hair. I'll still be who I am and you literally get scissors out. So did you really cut your own hair? I really did. That is so stressful. Wasn't I know and you know I was at that. Thankfully I wanted to do it so bad. I wanted to cut my hair earlier in the summer. Why out of a rebellion not of a rebellion? Just again I had had that hair stat riding straight hair down to my but since I was two years old as women love to reinvent ourselves. Let's try something new fifteen or six. It was time to change it and so I wanted to do it so badly and so. Luckily I wasn't as stress. I was just thrilled that this was going to be the start of a new haircut that I could barely even picture for myself so I wasn't super stressed but I was stressed for the show aspect of it is if I messed it up. There's really no put one sane. Exactly so did they just kind of walk you through it like okay. You're going to grab your hair like this because I will say this. You didn't like go to Your Scout. Exac you kind of where my shoulder? Yeah Yeah Michael. Jacobs was like where? Show me where you're going to grab and cut. I was like here and he was like. That's too short. No no lure and I was like I'm the one in control like a happy medium and of course wherever I grabbed I then cut but we shot the scene over and over again up to the point of the Kadett. Yeah and then they were like if we don't Yell Stop. You're supposed to go forward and so over and over again we'd get to that point in August become running out case. I just got carried away and did it and then all of a sudden no-one yelled stop and I had that feeling. We really are you are you. Can't hesitate can just. Us did it..

Peace deal with US to be signed by months' end, Taliban says
"A senior Taliban official says the group may sign a peace deal with the United States by the end of this month that deal would start the process of an American withdrawal from Afghanistan if it can be pulled off and peers D. he deed is on the line with us from Kabul hadiah colors so what are the specifics here what did the Taliban say today right so before I get to that just remind listeners of where we are negotiations have been going on for months offer deal that would allow America to largely withdraw its forces from Afghanistan but this is been a really complicated process and it was up to and once before by president trump in September but on Friday American officials of the Taliban had agreed to a reduction of violence for seven days and that's been to pave the way for deal to begin okay that was Friday okay yeah but today a Taliban spokesman sent as a three minute video of a senior member of the delegation his name is Milan to Saddam Hanafi and he says that day in the United States agree to sign a deal by the end of the month separately I've been exchanging messages with the hell should he in his another Taliban spokesman and he says the agreement with the Americans has been completed and he says they'll be some form of reduction in violence before the agreement is signed he says once agreement signed in traffic on the gush Asians will begin now what all these details suggests is that the Taliban are confident that the beginning stages of the steel and now has momentum and it also gives a sense of what the Taliban are expecting this sounds similar to what US officials have been saying it is similar it's not exactly what the Americans have said but it's close but what it does suggested that both sides seem to be on board for this to go ahead and it's also important to say that while both sides of say they will set both while both sides say they will be a reduction in violence none of the Americans of the Taliban have said when that will begin and then calling a cease fire either okay look this is a process that has been going on for some years now there is still there are still some ways that this could go awry yeah yeah I mean when you consider like how many challenges that face the steel it's hard to see how it can go right but you know it's important to to have hope American officials said that could be spoilers from Taliban fighters on the ground who don't want to accept a deal ISIS militants who might use that time to conduct attacks but there's other complications on the side as well for instance Hanafi that senior Taliban official release the video today says that Taliban prisoners should be released before into off gone talks can go ahead and we haven't heard anybody else say that yet and those into off gone talks that's a really important and really tricky part of this deal as well because that's when off cons have to negotiate among themselves on the future of their own country but the side that's meant to negotiate with the Taliban Afghan politicians civil society senior prominent officials they still haven't formed a delegation because off gone officials are still fighting over who won presidential elections in September okay yeah it's been four months and so we spoke to one senior governor Fishel today who says they can't form a delegation for talks until that's decided so it throws a whole new complication into the works what's been the reaction in Afghanistan anything notable we've been speaking to people in Kabul in Kabul is a bit more liberal than the rest of the country and people are nervous they remember what Taliban rule was like you're in the nineties and they've really worried that if the Taliban come back to power this country will go back two decades an embarrassed you had deed online from Kabul do you think so much
