Miles of Marathon Motivation With Jeannie Rice
"Tell me um about your marathon journey how many marathons have you ran so far weeks ago three weeks ago ready yeah I did that was my 131 Wow and then 30 first marathon so you know it's interesting it's a funny actually I told my friends and family when I when I reach hundreds marathon I'm gonna stop running a marathon not that I'm gonna stop running I'll stop for marathon and I'll do the half marathon and I'll continue to run so 100th math and I went to Boston again Boston is very special I guess because I was qualified night very beginning so I went there right after my hundredth marathon I'm thinking already next math and I couldn't so many I still want to do so now since then I've been 31 again 31 more so I am you know still have several math and I want to do so I you know is it easy no training is the hard part as you know anybody can train I mean you get to the starting line we can all get through it math either faster or slower but to get to that point you have to train so train for so weeks train is a tough you know I run 50 miles a week all year round either I have a marathon schedule or not so I am pretty much marathon ready whenever I want to run math and I just picked the one and then I do so 50 miles a week a pretty much six seven days a week once in a while I'll take the day off but you know my day off can be real easy one you know three four mile or none but normally six days a week I run all year round so what made you decide to go from that 5k to a marathon what was there any transition in there any like a 10k then a half or anything like that or you just went from 5k to I think I went seven weeks in a row 5k but 5k is like my speed world to me I am more you know distance runner although I do have a world record 5k I don't consider myself a fast but fast enough for my age division you know I broke the world record on 5k 10k even 1 ,500 meter and one mile this past this year I got all this world record time but marathon is the one I really you know a good at it because a marathon time when I first broke a world record when I was 75 years ago in Chicago and I broke the world record by seven minutes yeah those seven minutes the German lady had it for five years nobody broke until I did it and then I broke that year and then year later I went to Berlin marathon and I broke my own record by three minutes so I have a ten minutes in between so but there's a couple ladies are chasing of course it's fun about it we are not pro runners but you know they are chasing my record and record will be broken some sooner later just like I did this year now I'm move up to 75 and I broke 75 years old record mm -hmm so Chicago I only broke by four minutes so I mean I said only because I was hoping for seven minutes just like I did five years ago but this way I can break my own record again because I didn't run as fast as I want I plan to and I was hoping to so now next big race will be London and that's what I'm going for okay so you're going for all the world majors yes yeah yeah I don't have any marathon plan before then I do have a USATF cross -country that's only 6k 6k in December and I have a math half marathon in December Jacksonville and then in Naples in January that's a big race I go to Naples during the winter time mm -hmm I live in Cleveland Ohio during the summer but it's cold in here so I'll be heading down in a week or two to Florida and I stay there till April so but there's a big half marathon in Naples in January which I do that every year and I belong to running club down there it's a huge race people come from all over so that's my my schedule but I do a lot of 5k if it's a local 5k there is 5k I run anyway because to me that's my fun run and it's a speed work mm -hmm and I'm not really good at going to track every week like some people do I used to when I was younger and I don't do that and I still go once in a while with the friends if they want me to go I'll go but my speed work is local small races or I do on the road by doing this you know running schedule

A highlight from The Best Altcoins To Buy This Week! (Act Fast)
"This may not be the optimal market to start DCAing into coins for long -term holds, but right now is the optimal time for trading with a lot of amazing trade setups presenting themselves every single week. So in today's video, I'm going to run through the 14, yes, 14 trade setups, all of which are long setups this week, because you know what happens when you try to fight the trend, you get wrecked. This is a market where as long as the uptrend lasts, is your friend until the end of the trend. And that means we long more than we short. So today I have 14 long setups I want to discuss with you. Most of the setups are a little bit shorter term, like mostly focused on this week, but a couple are a little bit longer term, I would say like in the three to four month range. Not focusing on super long term trades here, but still definitely going to have some alpha for you in today's video as to what altcoins I think could be part of a rotation. As we're seeing right now, basically narratives hop from narrative to narrative as traders seem to be rotating profits into different sectors. And we're going to discuss where I think that rotation could take us. 14 very different altcoins in today's show. We're going to cover a couple narratives like gaming, like ZK, and hopefully you enjoy. Smash the like button if you are enjoying the content at the moment. Let's just start with Bitcoin. An interesting observation to make on Bitcoin is that the last time it had four consecutive weekly candles in a row to the upside, as you can see, like we have currently gotten, it actually did this in early January and ended up reversing for two weeks before continuing an uptrend. So I mean, just because it happened once doesn't mean we're necessarily going to get like a sustained pullback now. But I think what needs to happen and what the market is already starting to show us with weekly open here is that Bitcoin needs a little bit of a cooldown. Now a cooldown is not bad for altcoins. A cooldown, if Bitcoin just moves sideways, maybe a little bit down is actually good for altcoins because it gives the alt some breathing room. It takes the wind out of Bitcoin sales a little bit and gives the alt some room to run. So what I want to see longer term is definitely a sustained increase in Bitcoin dominance that shows liquidity is flowing into Bitcoin. And then eventually I want to see that siphon off into the alts. So I actually want to see dominance pushing up to 60 % for a really healthy market. So altcoins can have a sustained run. But for now, if Bitcoin just cools and alts run a little bit, that's okay for now. Another interesting thing to note is that Bloomberg analysts still expect a 90 % chance of a Bitcoin spot ETF approval by the 10th of January. At the moment, the SEC has another five days to approve an ETF. If they don't approve it, then they're going to have to delay until January. So we could see an approval this week. I don't think this will be the case, but it is a possibility given the fact this week we are in an approval window. So definitely look for some volatility on Bitcoin. All right, let's get into the official list of altcoins that I'm looking at my weekly watch list. By the way, this is a show that I've been doing pretty much every week, but obviously now there's extra attention on the show because we're finally getting some market movers. If you looked at my watch list last week, basically I think six out of the seven tokens that I listed all ended up in profits. We had some amazing trades from that watch list. So congratulations to everyone that got involved there. Hopefully from this week's watch list, similarly, we have some good trades that come out of this one as well. The first place I want to start is ThorChain. What you need to understand about ThorChain is that it's the ultimate bull market token. Because of its reflexive mechanism, the more capital that goes into Roon, basically the better the yields end up being because they need to incentivize LPs to stake tokens in the pools to balance out the Roon LP because Roon is pumped in price, right? So when you have a higher APR, a lot of people ape into Roon, increasing the TVL. We can see the TVL is skyrocketing at the moment, as you can see here. And what that means is that Roon has this really explosive effect, this compounding effect, this flywheel when the market starts to deposit into Roon. So Roon is actually pretty much the ultimate bull market token. In a bear market, it's the opposite. It's one of the worst tokens because it gets hit really hard the other way. When the Roon price is going down, the yields tank. A lot of people exit the ecosystem because remember, to facilitate omni -chain swaps, what Roon does is it basically has LPs where you're required to hold an asset one to one with Roon. So if you want to swap from, let's say, Ethereum to Bitcoin, you're going to need in the omni -pool your Roon pairing with Ethereum and Bitcoin in order to facilitate that swap. So that's why in a bull market it does really well and in a bear market it does really bad. Because we're in a bull trend at the moment, Roon is clearly performing really well. It's one of the strongest performers in the market at the moment. And for that reason, if we do see a pullback like we're seeing right now, this is one that I'll look to ladder into on continuation. As I mentioned at the start of the video, this is really a traders market and it's a market where you probably want to be longing more than you are shorting. And when we're longing more than we're shorting, we want to look at the strongest coins. There are a few rotational players that I want to talk about but you generally want to look at the strongest coins and on any major pullbacks you can use them as dip buying opportunities, not for spot but for trades only. So depending on your risk tolerance, you can use different amounts of leverage. Some people, if you have more capital, you'll prefer spot trading. For me, I actually do a fair bit of spot trading so I might go in with a bigger position or a low leverage position because I don't want to get wicked out like we saw on the 10th of November. But here are some levels that you can look at to enter Roon on the pullback. The major level I'm looking at is this cross section here between the horizontal and the upwards diagonal trend which comes at around $4. If Roon somehow makes its way back down there, I don't think it will. This would be an amazing zone to do some buying. If not, then you do have this zone right here at the 4 .7 area that could be an interesting look as a small ladder in zone. You could probably ladder in here and then your last gasp is at $3 .60. If it starts breaking this trend, then that looks really bad that it's just going to reverse all the way back down. I don't think that's going to happen though. I think momentum for Roon has been upwards and as such, we should treat it with respect and it's certainly what I'm looking to have a nibble at if we continue to get any sort of sustained pullback in terms of trading, of course, not long -term. Long -term positions will be on more key high time frame supports. If you want to learn a bit more about that, I actually uploaded a video called If You Miss The Crypto Rally Follows This Exact Roadmap, which talks about long -term investing. So today is the short -term show. Yesterday, if you go onto the channel and go onto my playlist, and there's also a playlist linked in the description, that will give you a roadmap for the spot side of things. In terms of buying spot Roon, you want to be doing so on key support levels on the higher time frames because we don't like to buy long -term positions on the shorter time frames. It just doesn't make or the lower time frames. It just doesn't make any sense, right? 4 swaps an interesting play now starting to wake up as well being the main decks on Roon. This is definitely a 4 beta play or a Roon beta play rather. So 4 is definitely what I'm looking at in a similar gist to what I'm doing with Roon. Any major pullbacks probably going to gobble them up from a trading point of view. And you can also see they closed with an all -time high trading volume right now. A lot of people are actually using Roon to swap, which is an amazing thing and great for the ecosystem. So that's Roon. Now I want to talk about Solana because Solana is in a similar position to Roon in the sense that being one of the most explosive price movers. But it's kind of an interesting spot, right? Because it's come all the way up from what $15 to $53 in price. It actually hit $60 for a brief period of time. Spot holders don't know if they should take profits here. Traders don't know if they should be longing here. It's kind of in a weird position. But if we look at Sol, we can see that it broke above the key weekly resistance at the $48 level. So for me, a pullback into this zone similar to a buying opportunity, because I think what tends to happen with these coins is the most explosive move happens last. We haven't, I don't think seen that blow off top yet. And I may be wrong, this $65 zone could have been this blow off top. But I still have a feeling that we get that final thrust from Solana that just squeezes all those shorts that are now starting to pile up a little bit. And that will be your final blow off top for Solana. So because I think there's a tiny bit of juice left in the lemon here, I would be looking at any major pullback similarly to Rune continuing to ladder in until the trend reverses. Happy to kind of lose a bit of money trying to play this game considering that the upside is fairly immense in my opinion, if you can hit that trade. So Solana is one that I'd be interested in longing on a major pullback. You know the key level on the weekly. Obviously, you want to confirm that with lower timeframe trade setups because you have a fantastic level to look at. And on let's say the one hourly, the four hourly, that's when you'd actually be entering. Okay, let's move on to a new subset of tokens. These are the tokens that haven't moved. I know Rune and Solana have moved aggressively and we are playing the by the dip game, I guess on those ones. But some of the coins I want to talk about now actually haven't really moved. Now they have moved because the whole market's moved, but just not as much like Polygon hasn't done a 5x like Solana has or you know, 6x, 7x like Rune has. It is significantly up of course, but there is a really interesting narrative starting to brew here and that's the ZK narrative. So if you actually remember back to earlier in the year, January, February, some of the strongest performers alongside like AI and LSDs were the ZK coins. There was a lot of ZK hype and Matic being your biggest coin in this ZK basket of coins tends to be a market leader and it also happens to have this big announcement happening on November 14th which is garnering a leader of the ZK sector if ZK starts to wake up. Because right now we're in this rotational market, we saw Solana rotate into Avalanche, we saw that rotate into Phantom, we saw gaming pop off, we're seeing all these narratives pop off, AI popped off last week. I think next, a narrative that hasn't really popped off, but one that did in January is ZK. So Matic's definitely one of them. In terms of trading this, you do have your major support at 76, but what I would be more interested in is a break of the 92 cent level on the four hourly. Any confirmation above this level would be a decent entry in my opinion and you can see this level mapped out on the daily chart as your key resistance that we're currently trying to test at the moment. If we break that level, then suddenly we can look at a scenario that happened earlier in the year in February, as I said during that ZK run, where Matic ran all the way to 150. A 150 Matic in this run is not out of the question at all. In fact, I think it could happen if ZK gains steam. So that's what I'm keeping my eye on. Now let's talk about some of the other ZK protocols, but before we get into that, while we're speaking on the topic of Polygon, if you do want to earn any yield on the Polygon side, you can go to the farming page on SmartX, which is one of our official show partners. It's an AMM, which reduces the negative effects of impermanent loss and sometimes leads to impermanent gain that currently offers some of the most competitive, in fact, the best rates on the Polygon side for yield farming. So you can see in front of you, you've got 30 to 40 % APRs on a variety of pools, which as I said, have a mechanism which reduces impermanent loss, which is obviously one of the biggest headaches when it comes to Lping in crypto. So I highly recommend using the link in the description below to check out SmartX if you are interested in farming, or you can also do swapping on SmartX and get some of the best swap in the market as well. Link in the description below to check out SmartX. I've got some big announcements coming soon that I'm excited to share with you as well, so stay tuned for that. So let's talk about some of the other ZK protocols. So if Matic starts to make a run here, what will I long? Well, I'm going to long the leaders. I'm not going to try and pick the laggards in this sector. I want to pick the strongest coins in this sector. If we look back to the last run, as I mentioned at the start of the year, some of the best performers were Mina Protocol, Loop Ring, Nute and Dusk. So these are the ones I'm looking at because the market's really familiar with them. I think there's a bit of synergy here with that narrative in these coins. So those are some of the ones I'm looking at. But whatever leads in this sector after Polygon, those will be the ones that I'm interested in. And you can see Polygon and Immutable, the two biggest ZK protocols have run, but a lot of the others haven't run yet. So I think it's a narrative that's flying slightly under the radar, but I think it'll catch up quick once it starts to gain steam. So as a rotational play, this is definitely one that I'm interested in this week. Another one I'm interested in, which is already starting to pump, but probably has a little more upside left in it, is Sei Network. Now we know how explosive these career pumps have been in recent times. Pretty much every token that's been listed on Korean exchange a bit has exploded. We saw this earlier in the year with Sui and Aptos. We've recently seen it with Mina Protocol. Now we're on its pair on Upbit. So Sei is definitely one that I'm watching. It's catching a strong career pump. It has moved, but Sei is what I would call a new coin, right? It's a coin that has launched in the bear market. It's newer. It has pumpermentals because there's less underwater bag holders, and it still is down from its original trading price on its first day. Not from IDO price, but from the peak that it hit on its first day because it had a huge pump, ended up coming back down. It did hit its low of, what is it, like 0 .09 here. It's now started to move back up to 0 .15, but that's less than a 2X on a coin that has, as I said, pumpermentals. It's obviously a trading blockchain built in the Cosmos ecosystem. So some interesting stuff with Sei. If you do want an entry here, I mean, you could look to get an initial position, but if you're using leverage, you want to be careful. I mean, this is kind of not really a great place to trade. Obviously on one hourly, you might be able to find, it depends how, like if you're trading breakouts, you could probably look for like a breakout of this trend here. By the time you're watching this video, it might be too late. So the best I can do for you is actually looking on the four hourly and showing you these key support levels. The 0 .1344 level, if we do get some sort of confluence with the horizontal and diagonal trend here, this would be a great pocket to buy in. But any zone along this major support zone will be an area that I load up, but it does depend on your trading strategy. If you are a high leverage trader, you want to be a lot more precise. Me, I'll either go in this with spot or super low leverage. So I'm not so concerned about getting the exact entry. I'm just trying to really catch it for the uptrend. So depends how you trade, of course, if you're trying to snipe that entry, got to be a lot more careful. For me, a much lower leverage than your average person because I found that's what works for me because I don't have time just personally to sit in front of my computer all day and snipe entries. That's not me. I much more size. So let's say instead of taking a 2k position, I'll take let's say a 10k or a 15k spot position. And then I can't get wrecked on margin, which has been helping me a lot. Or I'll just go in with like a 3x leverage position. So it would take a lot to shake me out of a trade. So that is one I'm looking at. Similarly to say another coin that has pumpamentals and has shown this in recent times as another new coin is Celestia. Remember guys, the new coins can pump so much harder than all coins in the market. That's why I've been saying for a long time, you should definitely keep your eye on the new coins from both accumulation and a trading perspective. Celestia, by the way, is one if you've been following me on Twitter that you may have gotten an airdrop for because I did an airdrop guide last year and I included Celestia and this could end up being one of the most lucrative airdrops of the year. Congrats to anyone that watched that guide or watch my tweet and got involved because right now if you held your Celestia bag, you'd won to $2 ,000 but for some people it could be a lot more if you use multiple wallets. So I think this one is fantastic and there's a few people that have been coming out and saying that it's this cycle's soul. Smartestmoney .eth, it's an account I respect. The number one coin m p &l trader on Binance, that's pretty crazy, that is very crazy actually, has added spot to a massive seed position quote unquote and basically said watch and learn wannabes. These guys out here buying salt while I'm buying the next Solana. Big call but I mean the market cap is reasonably valued 700 mil okay five bill fdvs a lot but we know in the short term the circulating supply definitely goes to dictate how explosive the price moves can be market cap 700 mils reasonable at rank 71 calling it the next soul I don't know I like this one I like it as a spot play but not maybe after this massive pump in terms of a trade though super interesting now actually on support trend you'll notice a lot of coins are following the same trend they have a diagonal up trend as long as they stick to that trend you long if they start to break down below you've got to be a little bit wary but they've also got these horizontal support levels that they make after their retracements so this is actually a good one too long there's a couple of levels here for you to look out for on the one hourly on Celestia so that's an interesting one and let's move into some of the final narratives here I've got two more to share with you and both of these include a variety of alt coins so the first one is perpetuals I think if this volatility is to remain in the market we could definitely see perpetuals performing well we're starting to see a catch up in terms of price and fundamentals despite that not being the case a couple of weeks ago and if you see in front of you volume is performing really well this is purpose trading season this is an on -chain aping season this is the season where people are trading perps I think the centralized exchanges are doing the best that's where most people are trading but I think decks could catch up and for this reason as well as the fact that I think volatility could remain for the foreseeable future I think the perp decks remain super interesting looks at the moment not for short -term trades this week but over let's say the medium term so two to three months maybe even six months so these are definitely ones I've got my eye on dydx I'm going to do a video on this week that's a very interesting trade GMX and gains network being the ones that are kind of your decks perp decks proxies and a few others and as you can see on the weekly a lot of these are barely moved so especially like GMX and games they're a very interesting look in my opinion and if you do want to snipe better entries on a coin like GMX I recommend you use Kyber AI which is a software that basically tells you the momentum of a coin based on a variety of on -chain indicators like the number and types of trades trading volume net flow to whale wallets and what I would do on a coin like GMX is essentially if you're lining up a buy and let's say you want to start buying when shifts momentum what I would look for is a pattern like this where it shifts from bearish into bullish territory now since this video is not live you're gonna have to open your up your own Kyber AI using the link in the description below to see where it currently is but right now this would actually be potentially an interesting place to long GMX if on the lower time frames it lines up with what the Kyber score is showing which is basically bearish price momentum shown by a strong reversal so heading back into bullish territory as you can see buys are now starting to outpace cells and volume is also up ticking across GMX all of those are metrics that go into the Kyber score Kyber score is one of my favorite metrics in crypto if you go to rankings you can actually sort by market cap I love doing this so I go more than 500 million for the large caps that you can actually trade perps on and you can see which coins are looking the most bullish this can help you get entries in the market especially in a bullish market like this searching for the bullish coins can be an amazing way especially using on -chain analysis to get better trading entries so link in the description to check out Kyber AI it's an extremely useful tool especially for confluence with getting trading entries and crypto bad to subscribers will get early access versus the rest of the pack so link in the description below of course it's free so not showing you anything paid it is a free service to use the last narrative I want to talk about quickly is one I think people are forgetting about it has had a bit of a pullback um but it's the gaming narrative into YGG the reason I say people are forgetting people aren't forgetting about gaming there's a lot of talk about crypto gaming on twitter but I think they're forgetting about one of the biggest gaming conferences in five days time starting on November 18th it lasts for a week there definitely could be some I mean a lot of the major projects are speaking there so there could be some interesting announcements and even if not I think there's bound to be hype into that conference so for that reason definitely keep your eye on the gaming projects there's two in particular that I like YGG because it's their conference and this is now having a pullback into a decent zone in my opinion and also GMT which on the weekly and I know once again you don't enter short -term trades on the weekly but on the weekly if it can pull back down into this pocket at 0 .22 and confirm this is support and if you line that up with your lower time frame indicators of course that could be a decent zone also to enter a GMT trade so gaming is something I'm not going to fade the bees are kind of going from one narrative to another but gaming is one that I've got my eye on ahead of the conference so I hope you enjoyed this video these are all the narratives I'm looking at right now mostly short -term some medium to long -term hope you enjoyed this was fast it was alpha packed let me know in the comments below if there are any other coins I should look at and I'll see you in the next one. Peace out.

A highlight from Decoding AIs impact on IoT with Sam Colley, CEO, Pod Group, Podcast
"This is Doug Green, and I'm the publisher of TR Publications, and I'm very pleased to have with us again, Sam Coley, who's the CEO of Podgroup. Sam, thank you for joining us today. Thanks for having me, Doug. Well, we're going to be talking about the dynamic intersection of AI and IoT. I think this is a topic we've been talking about AI all year. We've been talking a lot about IoT. I don't think we've done a lot of work on where these two meet. So I'm really excited that we're able to do this. Thank you, Sam, for joining us and being able to expand our knowledge on this topic. Before we dive into that, could you just tell us a little bit about Podgroup? Yeah, so Podgroup has been in the IT now for over, well, since 1999 in various forms and its most recent form as a global MVNO since 2011. And in 2001, we were acquired by Giskindebrin, GND, a German security company who have kind of led in the field of eSIM and remote provisioning and SIM cards for over 30 years as well. So now kind of managing to combine all of the latest security technology alongside, you know, connectivity to deliver kind of solutions to the IoT to try and help them obviously evolve in a secure manner as possible. So you have a front row seat to the IoT world. Yes, I think it is middle row because I think the connectivity piece is pivotal in all of it. Without connectivity, you can't connect the device and you can't get the data to the cloud to do wonderful things like AI. So I feel like we get to sit in the middle and see all of the sides, which is a good vantage point. So with that, how is IoT changing the way we interact with our devices and the world as you're describing it around us? Well, I think IoT, you know, it's one of the things that kind of it's often unseen or, you know, it wasn't really until maybe five years ago you started to see billboards with IoT written on them. And as software and things became, you know, designed specifically for that vertical. But, you know, it's been around for, you know, 30 plus years probably in what used to be machine to machine. And I think the way in which we now interact with it as consumers has also evolved in that time. I think originally, you know, it was it was mainly for, you know, some sort of industrial applications, etc. I think old SCADA systems and things would be classified as IoT or M2M back then. But now, obviously, there's consumer IT in our in our homes with our smart devices, you know, with your Alexa's, to some extent, or your smart fridges. But also in terms of how you interact on a day to day basis, in terms of where you how you pay a store, how you consume advertising, in terms of digital signage, how you pay for your parking on the street. You know, all of its IoT and essentially it's kind of everywhere and we interact with it all day, every day, more or less if we're out and about or even at home. So I think, you know, it's it's something that maybe we don't recognize as much as we should, but it is pivotal to the way we live our lives today.

I think I went two minutes over, but I flew through it, tried to get off as many comments as I possibly could. And then our old friend Malcolm Gladwell is gonna come on and do some sports hour stuff. There's some things that he's noticed about direction sports are going in that he doesn't like, and we're gonna try to fix it. So that's the podcast, first, our friends from Pearl Jam. Here we go. All right, I'm gonna throw an NBA Power Poll at you. I'm not sure I'm gonna do this every Tuesday, but I definitely wanna do this some Tuesdays. I'm gonna go through all 30 teams as fast as possible. And I'm gonna throw things out that I feel like are important when necessary. Pot shots, important comments, things I've noticed, some fake trades, you've known me for a while. It's gonna be all the typical stuff. Going backwards from 30 to one, I'll give you the groups as we go. The first group is called the Dregs. That's Washington number 30. They are 30th in defense. And the only reason they're 30th in defense is because we only have 30 teams. I actually think there's some way they could have been 36th in defense. They're the only team in the entire league that I do not wanna watch on league pass for any reason at all. They're one and five, 15 .6 point differential against them. Shoot this team into the sun. I cannot believe House thought this team was gonna go over 24 wins. They might not go over 14 wins. They're awful. I never want them on my TV. Next group, probably the lottery. I say probably, but I'm gonna zip through these teams and then go back to somebody. 29 Utah, 28 Portland, 27 Detroit, 26 San Antonio, 25 Charlotte, who is way more fun than I expected they would be to watch, and 24 Chicago. It just feels like the lottery's in the future for all these teams. I wanna talk about San Antonio really quick. Three and four, kind of a sneaky, tough schedule. They played Phoenix twice, the Clippers, Dallas, that goofy Indiana team, Houston, and Toronto. They're minus 8 .6 point differential because they've gotten blown out a couple of times, and they're 29th on defense, which I was surprised by per 100 possessions. The thing that I wanted to point out here, because this one Benyama thing is super important. This is the best teenager that's come into the league, at least since LeBron. We can debate. LeBron, I think in year two, for two months at least, was a teenager when he was putting up 27, seven, and seven. When he started his 27, seven, seven cycle. Wembe might be the best teenager I've ever seen. They're starting Jeremy Sohan at point guard, and Pop's been transparent about this. No, no, we know we're gonna take some lumps. We're trying to figure this out. I went to the game when they played the Clippers, I talked about it in a previous pod, and it was just an absolute debacle, watching poor Sohan try to run the offense, bring the ball up. Now we're seeing teams starting to pressure them because he's not a point guard. He's a small forward. There's crazy stats now. Trey Jones, just by being on this team and not being Jeremy Sohan, is now one of the best advanced metrics point guards of all time. Right now, his per 100 on -off is plus 28 .3 because Sohan is minus 22 .7. That's how disparate the two things are. Which brings me to my point, this is too important. You have the best teenager maybe ever. You have one of the best league pass players already in the entire league in Wimby. I have no idea how long he's gonna stay healthy, knock on wood, hear me knock really loud. I just got my dog going. No, that was me, dumb ass. They need one more point guard. TJ McConnell is on Indiana, and they have Halliburton, who's averaging a 24 -12. He's awesome. They have Nembhard, who's great as a backup. McConnell's like, he's 13 minutes a game. He's clearly a trade piece for them. Just go get him. I'm not saying San Antonio has to make the playoffs, but they need to be entertaining, and Wimby needs to play with point guards. He clearly needs just to play off people, high screens, all that stuff. They need one more point guard. TJ McConnell is my choice. They have all their own firsts. They're not gonna trade those obviously, but they have some goofy picks. They have Charlotte's top 14 protected first. They have a pretty good Chicago first that I wouldn't give up. They have a first swap with Boston. There's ways to do this. I would just put that Charlotte pick next year on the table and just grab them because you guys hit the lottery. Literally, with Wimby -Dyama, literally hit the lottery. You hit the lottery and you hit the lottery. Get to do two point guards. We're not asking for much here. I wanna watch this guy. I wanna enjoy him play basketball. All right, next section is panic time. Number 23, Memphis. They're one and six. They finally got out to Schneider. And number 22, Sacramento, who lost twice to Houston in three days by 18 and 25. No Darren Fox for either game. Panic time in this respect. I know we're six games in the season, seven games in the season, but the West is one of those things where you're gonna look up and the car is left. The car has left the driveway and your family is gone. You're gonna be basically Kevin and home alone if you don't get your shit together. And I don't even wanna be two games under 500 in the West. That's how deep and good the West is. So when you're one and six, like all of a sudden two and 12, two and 13, Sacramento could all of a sudden be three and nine. I would just be nervous constantly. This is not like last year when the Lakers started out two and 10 and ended up making the playoffs. Nobody is doing that this year. The cutoff line is gonna be 46 wins. Memphis looks, they just can't score. And I think it's gonna be really, we talked about this verno last week. It's gonna be really hard for them to crawl back and be at least like 11 and 14, something like that by the time Ja comes back. The Sacramento thing, we predicted this when we did the over -under preview, like the conference is way better and they stayed basically the same. And now Fox is hurt. So it can take Fox going out for 10 games and all of a sudden you're not even in the playing game. I would just be nervous, so it's both of those teams. Again, it's early. Next group, friskier than we hoped. We have number 21, Brooklyn. Ben Simmons averaging almost 11 rebounds and seven assists a game. And yet you can't play him at crunch time, bizarre. Number 20, Orlando. Number 19, Houston. Number 18, Indiana. And number 17, Toronto. Just quickly on Houston, a delightful league pass team. I had no idea. It's like being at a buffet dinner and somebody brings like some, have you ever had a fried oyster? It's like, great, I'll try that. And then it's delicious. They play hard. I like watching them. And I did not expect a Shungun to be a potential all -star, but that's where we are. They're three and three. Again, they beat Sacramento twice, we'll see. But Orlando at number 20. Every time I do this, I'm gonna have a BS all -star of the week. I used to do this when I wrote my column back in the day. I used to call them the Bill Simmons all -stars, just people that I just liked for whatever reason. I love Jalen Suggs. I don't really know fully what he is. He tries harder than everybody on every other team. He really gives a shit. He feels additive in all these different ways. And yet at the same time, he'll absolutely like airball a three in one of the biggest moments of the game. But that guy cares. I watched a game where he got this hustle rebound. Can't remember who they, they lost at the buzzer. Get this hustle rebound and dribble back out and took a three and missed it and put his jersey over his head for like the next minute and a half. I actually think he might've been crying. He was so upset they lost. He is the most competitive random guy in the league. I love Jalen Suggs. Oh, as Saruti said, it's the Laker game. I love Jalen Suggs. I don't know what he is. He might just end up being like a seventh man on a championship team at some point. He's gonna have a moment on a good team. I don't know if Orlando's gonna be the team, but it's gonna happen for that dude. I also really like Anthony Black more than I thought, but we'll see. It's early for this team. Palo hasn't gotten going. Somehow they're four and three. We'll see when the schedule gets harder. Toronto at number 17, just the Lakers miss Schroeder. And I like what Schroeder's doing in Toronto. They're three and four, but they easily could be five and two. I've been watching them because I have their over under, I bet on. And I like where Toronto's at. I think they're better than they were last year. I think they're at least a playing team. Number 18, Indiana though. So their second in offensive rating and 25th in defense. In the 25th, I was actually surprised it wasn't worse. They can't guard anybody. They're shooting 43s a game. Their top six guys are all over 40 % three point shooting. They're kind of like the 80s Nuggets, but with threes. And they just play with a certain pace. And some days it's going to be bad. Like the Celtics put 155 points on them and it probably could have been 160 if they'd made some shots. Hal Burton's special. He's a 24 -12 this year. But the crazy thing about their offense is that Matherin's been terrible. And Matherin was a guy that they were like, this is going to be our guy. He's making a leap. We're going to trade Buddy Heald. We got to give the card keys to Matherin in that spot. And he's been bad. And their offense has still been pretty good. This is a team that anytime you see them, I don't know if you bet basketball, but if they're like plus 11, plus 12, it's like they could beat anybody any night. I'm just telling you. I'm not saying they're going to win a round in the playoffs, but just night to night, that's a team that they could just go 22 for 45 from three, make some shots. And Hal Burton, they actually should be five and two. Hal Burton blew the last possession against Charlotte the other night. But I've enjoyed watching them. I've watched an insane amount of basketball, by the way. All right, next group, the wildcards. I don't have a lot to say about these teams, but we'll go in order. Number 16, New Orleans, just seem jinxed. I'll come back to them in a second. Number 15, Cleveland. I want to see them with Garland and just, I want to watch them for a couple of weeks. I like the Struce edition, but we'll see. The Knicks, they're three and four. Nice win against the Clippers. The Randall thing continues to be nuts. Now he's taking out guys in the other team. Clippers 13, just traded for Harden. We talked about the Knicks and Clippers last week. Look, the Clippers, they played one game and they got killed by the Knicks. They're worse. I told you that last week. Still feel that way. Guess what they can't do now? Any transition stuff. The Knicks, 26 to six in fast break points last night. Rebounding. They got out, rebounded by 17 by the Knicks. Harden just brings so many things that you don't want in a starting five, but then he brings the great passing and the scoring and he can have the ball all the time. They don't need anyone to have the ball all the time because they have all these other guys who need the ball. I just don't like the trade. I continue to not like it and I don't understand it. I actually liked the team they had before they made the trade. So congrats again, Clippers. Number 12, Miami. 28th offensively. Kind of feels worse when you watch them. They haven't had their full team for a couple weeks. I'm not gonna judge them at all until December. I'm not gonna judge Dallas either. Dallas I have at number 11. They're six and one, fourth in offense. They've had a really easy schedule. So that's why, let's see what happens. Their one loss is to Denver. Let's see what happens when they play some tough teams all in a row and have one of those four games in six nights or three on the road. One of those situations. But they are in better shape than they were last year. And you look at the Grant Williams piece, which I'm not spiteful when I watch my old players. I'm rooting for Grant Williams. It's like seeing somebody you dated that you still have a good relationship with. It was nice to see him do well for them. Derek Lively seems like they have something. We talked about him last week, but he's at least like a rim runner in that kind of Nick Claxton world, but maybe a little more violent alley -oop or a little young Clint Cappelli. The Kyrie thing is the piece that I'm really interested in this. He finally had a good game last night, but for this season, 24 % shooting, 3 .8 free throws a game, which are always the two numbers to look at with Kyrie. What's he shooting threes? Is he getting in the line? And so far it's been neither, but he seems happy. When you watch them, they've been a surprisingly pleasant watch, and he seems like in a good spot. So I don't want to jinx it because as annoying as he's been over the years, and you know my stance on Kyrie, I just don't trust him. And I just feel like a seven -year track record of imploding kind of has to start to mean something after a while, but it is fun to watch him play basketball. And it does feel like he's got a specific spot on this team. They don't have to rely on him too much. It's very similar to where he was in 15 and 16 and 17 with the Cavs where he could kind of float in and out like a cat with LeBron. It's like, I'm feeling it. Oh, all right, let's give Kyrie the ball. The shooting going down though, it's a small sample size, but they also haven't been playing tough teams yet. And I'm just monitoring that because with guards, it can kind of sometimes go sideways pretty fast, and you don't realize it happened until after it happened. Just quickly going backwards to number 16, New Orleans, because they lost Ingram, they lost McCollum already. And they have this Hawkins who they drafted that everybody liked coming out of the draft, but the fact that he can play right away has actually kind of saved them a little bit. I just, I still feel like we need to do some sort of ceremony or something with them. Like we need the people from the Conjuring to just do something with New Orleans basketball. It just shouldn't be this bad every year. Your team shouldn't have two, three major injuries every year. You should have good luck at some point. And this goes back to the seventies. Remember, when they moved, when they became the New Orleans Jazz, their first major, major giant trade was for Gail Goodrich with the Lakers. They had to give up two first rounders, and he immediately blew out his Achilles. He played, I'm gonna say, less than a season. And one of the picks turned out to be Magic Johnson. So that's where we started with New Orleans, and it's been awful ever since. Nothing good has happened in this team other than they've won a couple of lotteries, but even the lotteries they won, the Davis, Anthony when they were in Charlotte before they got to New Orleans, they bring him to New Orleans and he wants to leave. And then they win the Zion thing, which seemed like the luckiest thing that ever happened to them. And meanwhile, we're still waiting for him to play two straight months. So Conjuring people, something. We need something to happen with that team. All right, the top 10. We're at a good pace right now. Where are we at? Yeah, feeling good. This is working. Young and hungry is the next thing. We got Oklahoma City at number 10 and Atlanta at number nine. If you remember, Atlanta was one of the, these are the two teams I was going nuts for before the season for their over -unders. I love the Atlanta over -under. I love the New Orleans over. And I like what I've seen from both. OK sees four and three, Atlanta's four and three. Atlanta's sixth in offense. And that's notable because Trae Young has sucked again shooting west. He's 28 % from three. Last year's 33 % from three. This might not be happening the next Steph Curry thing. Like what age does he have to hit where we have to go? All right, he's not the next Steph Curry. Because I think I hit that age last year at age, when I was age 53. I think I hit that for Trae. They killed Minnesota, which is notable. We'll talk about Minnesota in a second. But they really, I watched that game and they really, really, really handled them. I like this Atlanta team. And I think there's a path for them to be a three or a four seed if Trae can get going. And then OKC, trade for a big already. You're a guy short, like stop. You guys have a chance to be like a 50 win team. What are you doing? I want to see what's going on with Josh Getty in about two weeks. Whether it looks different than it has for the first couple of weeks here. I don't like, he's not going in the free throw line at all. 1 .3 a game. 26 % three point shooting, which we knew. He can't shoot threes. But there's also like the Chet piece of it. Seems like it's throwing them off. And I've watched games where they've taken them out at crunch time.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from MASSIVE XRP PUMP! (Ethereum Not Done Yet!)
"Today is a great day to have a new set in crypto. How are we all doing today? It's 11 -6. It's November 6th. It's 11 -32. Sorry. It's 10 -33am. How are we all doing today? We got a new set. We got some new people. This is going to be phenomenal. Look at that lighting down below, folks. It's lovely. I'm loving it. Hey, chat, let us know what you think about it. But guys, we're going to be talking about XRP. Why is XRP pumping? What is going on with Ethereum? Is there more activity? XRP is the crypto market's back is all -coin season starting. Also some huge Bitcoin ETF news as well and Grok AI, the AI that most resembles a caveman's name. But yeah, we got Drew and Kelly. I don't know which way to look. Do I look at the camera? Do I look at chat? Do I look at these two lovely gentlemen? Look me in my eyes. All right. Let's maintain eye contact for the entire show. Love the new set. It looks amazing. Nice. Nice. Okay. A little bit of an echo. Special shout out to our entire team here at Hit Network, BJ, Aaron, and Joel, and Bobby, and Owen. There's so many people who just work tirelessly. If I forgot anybody's name, a lot of you. Love you all. We appreciate how much hard work you do. Really special shout out there. Drew, any message on the beginning of the set? How do you feel about it? Man, it's just - You helped carry some things. Yeah, no, it's nice to have a fresh start. And I mean, this is just, it feels as professional as we act every day. Oh, that's not at all. I mean, I don't know. We bring the heat. So we have a new set up here. It's nice to be able to conversate back and forth with you guys, bounce ideas by each other a little bit more organically as we go through the news. So - Legit, because he DZ being a future Jimmy Kimmel. No, I will never be the CIA's puppet master. Okay. I will never be their puppet. All right. Let's get right into the show here, folks. Guys, let's see if I can share your screen. Make sure you're following us on Discover Crypto. We just put out two phenomenal videos over the weekend. In this Cardano video, I also added it to my pin tweet here, if you want to see it. But I highly recommend you go check it out on YouTube. Get in there, get in the chat, leave a couple of questions, we'll start replying to the videos. I don't know how I'll do it with the next video, working on some top three tips to master the bull run for the first hour that the video's out, we'll go ahead and maybe we'll engage with you. So if you've got any questions, I'll jump in there. Also, we did another video on Jimmy Bitcoin. The heist Bitcoin is stronger than any Bitcoin heist in history, billions of dollars. So it's a really, really good video. I recommend it. He's like the Bitcoin heist meister. He's the heist meister. Yeah, yeah. He's not Heisman, but he's the heist man. All right, folks, make sure you go to hit merch as well. And I think it's time for us to just get right into this Ripple story, folks. Ripple gaining momentum, $850 million, and whale buys push price above 75 cents here. You see it broke out above a critical 65 cents resistance, and now it looks like it's off to the races. So over the last two weeks, crypto whales have been spotted buying XRP aggressively. Not only are the whales buying, they're buying aggressively, folks. As of 2023, the event edges is now the best time to get crypto. You know what? I can see why Bobby's wanting me to move left. I tend to lean to my right. All right, between October 24th and November 6th, the whales, how much XRP did they acquire? 1 billion .26 XRP, folks. And if XRP does say go to $2, $2 .50, even $4, talking about billions of dollars here. So they're bringing their new balances to a new 2023 peak. So we're at a new peak for XRP balances on the whale wallets here. Now there is a big event coming. It's the 2023 edition of Swell Digital Asset Conference in Dubai later this week. It's an invite -only event. So we'll feature keynote speeches and dialogue with some leaders, regulators, and innovators. Now Drew, you're kind of Mr. XRP here. I think you're probably the biggest fan of XRP. The whales are buying. Now are they going to start dumping? No, I mean, we'll always see a little bit of sell pressure, but I think that banks being even just slightly willing to test out XRP and its remittance payment systems and these continuing patterns growth that I see for Ripple in general, I think that things across the world are seeing this. The US still has the gray area, but the rest of the world is feeling ready for it. So I don't think that that'll be on us anytime soon, a big dump. All right. All right. More conspiracy talk. You guys are always on point. No, no, no. We got to get off the rails here. Poor Jimmy. You know what? Poor Jimmy Zong. That's the only Jimmy I like talking about. All right. Here we have the social dominance chart. So this blue line is where people mentioned XRP. So when you see a little bit of spike in social media chatter, oftentimes you're going to see a little bit of a price increase as well. But sometimes social media chatter precludes the pump. Sometimes it's after the pump. They're just, it depends because as a coin doubles in price over a month, people will just start talking about it naturally, even if nothing else is going on. But so here's the social dominance metric is showing the percentage share of a cryptocurrency in comparison to the 50 most talked about projects in the crypto media channels. So they'll just look at keywords, how many TikToks are being made and compare it to the other 49 coins there. But having cleared the resistance at $0 .65, XRP price now faces minimal resistance on the road to $0 .70 as well. So not only that, though, we also have Deaton coming out. He was coming out in favor. So there's a little bit of a settlement with the SEC versus XRP months ago where, hey, programmatic sales, hey, that seems fine. But when you're selling to a hedge fund, that seems bad. So we had one win, we had one loss, and we're saying, so this is like a 50 -50, right? This is like a 50 -50 win -lose. So Deaton's coming out saying it is not 50 -50, it is 90 % win, 10 % loss. So we're looking at more of a 90 -10 ratio here. So here, let's just get his quote out here. In a recent post, he strongly refuted the idea that the result was close to a 50 -50 outcome here. The people who argued that the SEC got a 50 -50 victory in the ripple crates are 100 % right wrong here. I'm still messing around with it. It was more like a 90 -10 in Ripple's favor. If Ripple ends up paying $20 million or less, it's a 99 .9 % legal victory. Did it feel like a 99 .9 % legal victory, Drew? Yeah, I mean, absolutely. A lot of the talk from famously like Pomp when we first got the Ripple case laid out, he's like, oh, you're holding securities, but kind of dancing on the graves of people that held XRP, even in the retail, which I think was just an absolute spit on the face disservice and a to our freedom to transact and to have new systems come about to do those transactions. So seeing even these chunks of wins from XRP and Ripple are massive, massive gains in confidence for people across the world. Now they're looking at this thing and many people are calling it the most regulated crypto on earth just from these recent wins. You brought up gains of confidence. You think I care about the gains of confidence? I don't care about the gains of confidence. I only care about the gains in price. And that's where we're going to go to Kelly here. Kelly, we have some charts here. I don't know if you're looking at XRP, but yeah, 65 cents, 70 cents. Is that all just a facade or is there a real support and resistance happening here? Well, it's throwing it here to the chart. We can see that this is essentially a chart I've been looking at for some time. And interestingly, we have this sort of uptrend parallel channel that on this break to the upside, which is when we have that initial news breaking of the sec the court case stuff that we got this massive pump and essentially rejected right here at a known level that goes all the way back. I mean, this goes all the way back to this base point here, December, 2020. So this is a pretty interesting when the price was going, I was looking at this suggesting, and this is going to be likely turnaround point. We got a stiff rejection off that until we broke down and tested the lower bound here. Got a deviation below. Now why will we have a deviation below is because these smart money people out there, these the people that really understand how to move the markets, they try to do everything they can to trigger those of you and those of me and drew DZ. Everybody that's in this market is subject to emotions. And those that are in control of their emotions and have a sound strategy and risk management doesn't get triggered by this consistently. But those, somebody sold down here cause they thought it was going lower. Oh man. It gave that opportunity for a lower entry for a long, okay. Now we're seeing here, especially where we're at in relationship to the having coming up and we have all this stuff on the horizon about the the IPO for ripple. And we have all these court cases winning into to your point earlier. I don't think they're going to win a hundred percent, but I think that's baked in. I think in the sense that at 99 .8 % or whatever, they're going to have to have some concession not to make Gary Gensler feel like he completely has, you know, a full face of egg on it. So there's going to be some sort of small fine paid or some concession that they have to make, but it's literally just going to be the fee of doing business. We see this also, it's not, it's not the end of the world. We look at you know, traditional banking, they've had $40 billion in fines since 2000 traditional banking. And yet there's, you know, they're able to continue doing business because it's the price of doing business. Now, are these levels that you're talking about? You said 65 cents. Yeah. 65 cents. And then a lot of resistance at 70 cents as well. 65 cents is right here. This previous range high that we broke through. I do think if we come back down, this is a great area. If we're very bullish, this is a great area for price to bounce on. It doesn't mean if we lose this, it's not bullish anymore. In fact, we can come all the way back down here to this horizontal line. That's in perfectly a basically cross section right here to that 60 cents level. This would be a great opportunity for another, you know, still bullish pullback if we come back to this level. Now, if it does continue to run, where is it going to go? Are you going to buy DZ? Are you going to buy on the way up if we get two candles in a row that are still bullish and we break 85 cents, is that a signal for you to buy and prices just running higher? You know, as much as I like candles, I don't like buying wicks. And so just I even when it hurts me, I just I'm averse against buying wicks. Yeah, no, I hear that. And so the point here is if things are running, that's a signal that there's a lot of stuff going on. Let the pullback let the chart come to you in your strategy so you can so you can make a smart buy. Now, let's go ahead, look at Bitcoin, Bitcoin and an interesting sort of channel that it's it's trading here. A lot of people are speculating. Is this going to be a setup for a sort of kind of flopsided bar pattern where the price action actually continues chopping in here only to break down and, you know, to this level? But why is that level important to previous high level that thirty two thousand dollars? Now, whether we continue higher or pullback down there now, at some point, I do think we're going to test below this range that we're in right now. Things are I mean, we see the momentum here is trending down while the price is still slightly turning higher. So there is some signs that we may be having some issue here coming up fairly shortly. I think C90 says the best. We're too far away from the having to not have at least one pullback. I don't know if it's going to start tomorrow. I don't know if it's going to start two months from now, but we're looking at an April twenty twenty four halving date. There's I'm assuming it's going to be much more likely than not in those six, five, six months. We'll experience a pullback now. Everybody want and I just did a video on this on the bit lab morning stream talking about the pump season. It's holidays. Everybody not only has a bias that they wanted to go up because you want to feel happy during the holidays, but there is data out there. There's data out there that shows that on average, November has a thirty seven percent pump to the upside. But that doesn't that doesn't mean every November is a thirty seven percent pump. There are some November's that have been negative. Basically, you've lost value in November. And we can see on this chart right here, this is seasonality. This is Q4. These these yellow bars, horizontal bars. This is Q4. And yes, we had a pump here. But look, we had a dump here, consolidation here, pump here, break down here. So you have to you have to take it into the context of where you're at in the market cycle compared to the halving. So as it stands right now, I do think we very well could get a pump. But look how far we still are from having to me if we do get that pump, I'm going to be looking for an opportunity coming into the halving for still some lower prices to whatever level we pump from pump two. So I would just urge caution. The higher we go, start looking for opportunities for prices on a pullback. All right. Let's say what is the coin you want to get more of during a pullback? I'm just going to say boring Bitcoin. I feel like I don't have enough Bitcoin. So if there is a pullback, I think I'm a scoop up some more bitty. What about you two? I'm going to be going after Cardano next. That's the next big bag. I have too much of it. What about you, Kelly? Well, I'm torn because I mean, look at pull up this chart real quick, because we see dominance is coming into a known zone. Not a carry off. Do you like Natalie and Bruglia? I'm told that's how I was trying to think of the song is that I'm still coming into this zone. Dominance is pulling back. We're seeing a little bit of capital rotate out of Bitcoin. And we also see the Ethereum dominance broke. Everybody wants to see this breaking, thinking every alts are just going to moon. But we still could very well have those alts pull back. So it's still a little bit. Everybody wants this to be an alt season because we're seeing some pretty big gains, you know, also because we're all overexposed in alts. That's why. Yeah. You know, one of those ones, everybody was kind of taking a little doodoo biscuits on was right here. Albert Rand. Everybody was saying they thought it was dead because they're also doing that rebrand. But look at this 45 percent pump. But it's pushing higher. But don't get lost in the bias just because you're feeling good in a green candle. Look for those pullbacks. If I had to pick one, it would be Bitcoin.

Wealthy Behavior
A highlight from November Market Update: Three Things to Watch
"Welcome to Wealthy Behavior, talking money and wealth with Heritage Financial, the podcast that digs into the topics, strategies and behaviors that help busy and successful people build and protect their personal wealth. I'm your host, Sammy Azuz, the president and CEO of Heritage Financial, a Boston based wealth management firm working with high net worth families across the country for longer than 25 years. Now let's talk about the wealthy behaviors that are key to a rich life. Welcome to the November investment edition of the Wealthy Behavior podcast, where I talk to Heritage Financial's chief investment officer, Bob Weiss, about what's going on in the markets and the investment universe right now. Welcome back to Wealthy Behavior, Bob. Thank you, Sammy. What is going on? I noticed that recently just kind of following the news that we had three negative months in a row for the market, the S &P, that ended October. We're recording November 2nd right now. The markets appear to be in a pretty optimistic mood today and this week. I think there's been some good news on the yield front, the 10 year yields have backed up. So what are your impressions as you've followed things along since the year? Yeah, so yields have been climbing this year after the first quarter. First quarter they fell and they've been basically climbing pretty rapidly in Q3 with the 10 year treasury that people look closely at, touching 5 % a few weeks ago and that got a lot of attention. And I think we talked about this in the last podcast and the webinar we did, but part of what's been driving that is what people call market technicals from the treasury issuing new debt. So think like economic supply and demand and as there's an increase in supply from the treasury having deficits and from all the kind of nonsense in Congress with the debt ceiling, there was a flood of issuance and that pushed yields up. And with higher yields that obviously impacts the bond market directly, but the stock market has been, I think, adjusting based on that as well on two fronts. One, just the fact that, okay, 10 year treasury yield is now 475 to 5 % that's been traded in that range. So what should stocks be valued at as opposed to when yields are say in the lower fours. So that's been adjusting. And then there's also, I think just kind of a lingering concern of like, are we done at 5 %? Is that gonna be the cycle high in treasury yields or is six around the corner, is seven around the corner? And those start to get to be kind of scary numbers for markets on a number of fronts if we were to see those. So the good news is we haven't, as I said, it touched five and it's been down and the Fed had a meeting earlier this week and did not raise rates. And overall, I think it's what they call a dovish press conference and notes that they could have said like next meeting, there's a decent likelihood that will raise rates, but they left the door open, but market odds of seeing a rate increase again, this cycle declined. So it's like a 20 % chance of a rate hike at the December meeting now and going into the meeting that was higher than that. So the market's backed off a little bit on expecting the probability of the Fed raising rates. And also the market has been digesting new treasury issuance well this week. And as a result, bond yields are down, bond prices are up and stock prices are up. That Wednesday treasury auction, is that what you're referring to in terms of the market has adjusted to treasury issuance? Because I know there were fears that that auction would not go well. You and I talked about it earlier this week. What were the fears and what did we see? Yeah, the fears were that just really simply there aren't enough buyers for treasury debt as the treasury comes to market with over a hundred billion dollars in treasuries that they would have to think it's an auction. If you're going to an auction for art, you have to sell it. And just for treasury, they have to sell it. And if they have too much, then they have to sell it at a higher yield and that you'd break through that 5 % level. And we did not see that. In fact, we saw yields come down. So the market absorbed what they had to issue and we're moving on. So it's been good news to see treasuries stabilize and even decline in yield.

Crypto Banter
A highlight from This Altcoin Will 20X OR MORE!! (Raouls All-In Trade)
"Look, we may not be at weekly highs, but we definitely should celebrate the week that we've just had. It was definitely the first week of the bull market where we can clearly say that we're in a raging bull market. And I think we're in the beginning of a bull market. But what's going to happen now is I think we're only about 25 % of the way into the bull market and the rest of this bull market goes up really, really, really fast. We've had the tame part of the bull market and the rest of the bull market goes up very fast. Now, a lot of questions. How high will we go? How long will this bull market run? What are going to be the top three, four, five coins that are going to perform in this bull market? That is what we're going to be discussing today. Today, I've got a massive, massive banter for you. I've got a big friend of the channel here joining us, Raul Paul joining us. And we're going to talk about everything to do with this raging bull market. Today is going to be a massive, massive, I'm going to say it again, massive show. So let's go. Let's do this. As I said, we're not at the weekly highs, but we've had an amazing week. And if I would have told you that Solana would be in the 40s or late 30s at the end of the week, you would have laughed at me. And if I would told you that Bitcoin would be around 35 ,000 or 34 ,000, you would have laughed at me. Yet, here we are, and we should be celebrating. We should be celebrating the month that we've had. We should be celebrating the week that we've had. But most of all, we should be celebrating the fact that, guys, we are finally, after 770 days, we are finally in the raging bull market. And today, we're going to talk only about one thing. We're only talking about the raging bull market, how long it will last, how big it's going to be, how much money we're going to make, how high Solana is going to go. And I think Raul Paul's got an amazing Solana prediction, and I wonder if it's anything similar my to prediction. But before we get into the main show, first of all, if you're not a subscriber to this channel, what are you waiting for? Subscribe. I'm going to wait. I'm going to wait. I'm waiting. Subscribe. All right, and if you are subscribed, just smash the Like button, especially if you like what we're saying here today. Smash that Like button. Obliterate it. Let's get into the meat and potatoes of the show. In fact, one more little announcement. If you haven't already voted in our winner Bitcoin competition, go and vote. Go and vote. So, if you want to win a Bitcoin, it's so simple. It's so simple. All you need to do is open a crypto banter account in any of our exchanges using any of our referral links. Ryan, Mal, Annie, Sheldon, any referral link that you want, even our school. And if you don't have an account, use these links over here to get the account. And you can get huge sign -up bonuses, $30 ,000 in buy, but that's obviously the main exchange that I trade on. $8 ,000 in BitGet, OKEx, CoinW if you're living in the States, BitGet if you're living in Canada. And then every account allows you for five votes, right? And you can only make one vote a week. So you better get there and start voting to get five chances to win one full Bitcoin. No one in the world is going to give you the opportunity to win one full Bitcoin so easily. Anyway, with that said. All right, let's get up onto the stage. Raoul, how are you, my friend? You're starting to feel like a bull market out there, hey? It is. I'm back in Little Cayman. That was bull market backdrop. So yeah, it does. That is the true story. That is the bull market backdrop. And we're back there again. I remember that. The pool table and the bar, real bull market stuff. But this week was like a week where, for the first time, I actually felt, you know what, we're back in that raging bull market territory, right? Yeah. And as you and I have talked about, I still think it's crypto spring. We're not yet in summer. But you're just getting the later stage of spring, where you start to have a few nice days in a row. And it starts to feel good. And you start to think about having drinks outside in the pub and doing things in the sun. So that's what that point. It usually really doesn't get going. This is usually the prequel. Usually doesn't get going until summer of next year, which is that kind of halving year. That's when it goes like this almost every day for 18 months. So I wanted to show you. It's not nice for once to come in and go, oh, my god, is that up that much? That was good. I must say, so the first thing is I read this quote, which says, an entire Bitcoin bear market is behind us, and an entire Bitcoin bull market is ahead of us. And I just think that that is so where we're at. But the same account, it's an account called Rec Capital. He says he believes that we're 26 .5 % into the bull market, which means that there's 75 % odd left of this bull market. I mean, if you look at his drawings, the first 76 .5 % is actually quite slow relative to the later stages of the bull market. That's right. I mean, if I were to ask you how far into the bull market you believe we are, is this a fair representation? Exactly. It matches the business cycle framework that I've been using, the halving cycle framework. I've been more erring towards a repeat of something like 2015 without that red herring of 2019. So I think we're at the stage where we're just kind of breaking out, then we're likely to finish the year strong, and then sideways for a while, sideways to down for a bit before it really gets going. So it's somewhere between the 2019 and the 2015 -16 cycle. And what do you think happened this week? Why this week all of a sudden did we get this wake up? Did something change? Did liquidity change? Did policies change? What was it that? I mean, is there anything, or was it just, we're just here, and that's it? It seems that there was some story that BlackRock had already bought some buffer so they can sell ETF when it comes out. But I don't think that's a lot, but there's clearly new capital come into the space. We saw it with CoinShares, a few others, starting to report inflows of capital. So that's new money going into the economy, and obviously, a bunch of board degens turn it into a lot of price rises. But then we had the other story that ignited, so Bitcoin had been strong anyway because of the ETF. ETH has been kind of, it was OK, but it's been pretty sideways for a while. The thing that really started igniting was both DeFi stuff. They came out of nowhere really rallying, and that's often early season stuff. And the other was obviously Solana. Yeah, well, so DeFi, you can see, if I look at the gains this week, you can see Solana is obviously the biggest. But then you do see the DeFi protocols. You see Aave, you see all the, I saw Uniswap had a run, and there it is to 10 .7%, Curve had a run. I want to talk a little bit about Solana. We will go into the macro, and we will talk about the macro. You were pretty bullish around Solana when we spoke last time. Now we've had the DevCon. I don't know how much you updated yourself around what happened at the DevCon. It was an amazing, amazing conference, let me tell you. I'm actually still here in Amsterdam. I'll tell you what I saw, and then maybe I'd love to hear your views. But for one, I saw that the community is absolutely thriving, and I came up with a metric of brains per square foot at the conference, brainpower per square foot at the conference. And from a brainpower per square foot at the conference, I don't think I've seen a conference like that since ETH DevCon in 2017, which is when the big brains of the Ethereum community actually arrived there. There were no retail investors. There was no Flaff. There was no one talking about price. They came out, and they spoke about real announcements. So every single announcement was a real announcement. Google was a real announcement. Visa was a real announcement. Render was a real announcement. AWS was a real announcement. There was no announcement that you could drill holes into. At the same time, they also came out with network upgrade announcements, which one of them was Fideancer, which is going to give them up to a million transactions per second. Everyone thinks that that's where it stops, but that's not where it stops. It takes it one step further because Fideancer is the last step in making Solana decentralized. Right now, there's only one Solana validator client, which is the Solana validator client that Solana wrote. Now, there's going to be a second one, which means that it's the first time that you've got a second validator client that can't be updated by the foundation, which means that it's really, really, really a decentralized protocol now that can do one million transactions per second on the main net without having to go into layer twos. So I'm leaving here. I'm leaving Amsterdam tomorrow, and I'm leaving here extremely bullish about Solana. Extremely, extremely bullish. The way I see it, if there's any protocol that is going to get that one consumer mass adoption app, it's going to be Solana. It's not going to be an ETH layer 2. That's how I'm leaving here. I know you weren't at the conference, but I'm keen to hear your views. So you're picking up exactly what my thesis has been, and that thesis has been growing for about a year and a bit about I think Solana's main thing is this consumer chain because it can do a lot. So obviously, when it sold off last year, I bought it all the way through. And then I started going down the fire dance a rabbit hole. And I'm like, OK, this is a game changer because jump trading who are building it, they have one constraint that they try and work to, which is speed of light. Because what they're trying to do is get that order in to the exchange and the prices out of the exchange as fast as possible ahead of all their competition. So there's that whole book, Flash Boys, about this, where it's all about the size and the quality of your fiber optic cable and how close you are to the exchange. And then it's how fast your computer is. So they fully understand this. And they've built it to be fast enough for high frequency trading. OK. Now, for people to understand what a million TPS means, Twitter is like 24 ,000 TPS. WhatsApp is like 40 ,000 TPS. It's like this is a order of magnitude. It's 20x what Solana does, which is already the fastest chain. So the applications that's going to come out of this are game changing. And it's kind of pushed apart the argument of the trilemma because it not only made it more secure, but cheaper and faster. So, OK, that's interesting because that was not supposed to be solvable. It feels to me like we're solving some of the blockchain trilemma. On top of that, compressed NFTs. To be able to create a million NFTs for $100 basically tells me that's ticketing, that's all sorts of stuff, receipts, anything. So you've created new business models that people don't understand exist yet. They're still thinking of, you know. I'm actually getting something out on my phone, which I managed to take at the conference. And I actually think I want to read this out to you. So if you want to mint 10 ,000 NFTs on Solana, it'll cost you $18. If you want to mint 10 ,000 NFTs in Ethereum, it'll cost you $30 ,855. If you want to mint 10 ,000 NFTs on Polygon, it'll cost you $52 .09. OK, so when you scale that up to 10 million, on Solana, it'll cost you $5 ,219. On Ethereum, it'll cost you $31 million. And on Polygon, it'll cost you $52 ,087. So this is, and this is before FireDancer, by the way. This is before you implement FireDancer, just to give you an idea of the power of this network. And this is why Visa are interested. This is why, you know, they're starting to have a lot of announcements, because what they've built now is something truly extraordinary. And the price is truly extraordinary, because nobody believed this. Exactly. They were so busy saying, it's a FTX token, it's a SAM coin, it's going bust, there's no devs. It was all bullshit all the way through. Yeah, yeah. Look, we were obviously buying, we were encouraging the community to buy, we were unpopular for buying. I mean, I showed the community the trades that we actually took. I'm interested, I mean, let's have some fun. And I'm not going to hold you to any price predictions. But when I look at the market cap of ETH, I think the market cap of ETH today, and I'm going to in the beginning of a cycle, you know, we can argue that this is probably the beginning of the altcoin cycle, the market cap of ETH is about $220 billion. The market cap of Solana is about $17 billion. So you know, under the assumption of going into a bull market, let's have some fun. And just like, where do you think Solana can go in the cycle? So how I've been thinking about it is looking at previous cycles, how high above the previous high goes. it So if we look at, you know, if you look at Solana now, or you can look at Ethereum in the previous cycle, I think of Solana very much like Ethereum in 2017. OK, let's get that chart out. So that is Sol, and Sol's going back, let's go back to, that's Ethan, let's go back to 2017. Let's go on a weekly, it'll just make it quicker and easier. Yeah. So 2017, ETH went to $1 ,640. The starting point was obviously the ICO, which was at a couple of cents, I think $0 .07, $0 .09. It went to about $1 ,640. The next cycle, it went up to, I think, $5 ,400. $5 ,000. Yeah. So it was like a 3x above the all -time high. Yes. So then what's the all -time high of Solana? It's about $250. Yeah. So you say, OK, a reasonable target would be 3x the all -time high. OK, so that would take Solana to $600, which is a 12x. Now, this is exactly my thesis. So hear me out, yeah. I think it goes further than that, potentially, but who knows, right? We've all learned from the previous bull market not to give price targets because people just want to beat you over the head with them. Yeah. I mean, we're just having some fun. I mean, just looking at some scenarios. For me, the way I looked at it, I said, look, if Solana just gets to 80 % of ETH, what ETH is now at the top of the cycle? And if that happens, Solana gets to call it a $180 million market cap, which is about, which is, I think today it's at a 15, so it's a 10x. So what you're saying in terms of $600, I'm saying probably $500, $400, $500. So I think the numbers are there or thereabouts. Yeah. And obviously, the numbers have changed dramatically, because when I started looking at this, it was trading at 20, like 20, and we've already gone up a lot since then. So these numbers keep halving every time we keep going up a lot. But yeah, my idea is somewhere between $500 and $1 ,000, just depending what that market feels like. Do you see a world, do you see the world like I see the world, I see like top of the cycle Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and then everything else underneath it, the BNBs, the XRPs, the you know, the only one, the only one that I don't know is what's going to happen with stablecoins. But I think if we remove stablecoins, I kind of see it as like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana. I actually do too, which obviously means we're going to be blindsided by something else that's interesting that we didn't think of, you know, the Solana of this cycle. What is that going to be? I'm not good enough to pick those, you're better at picking the smaller stuff. I just, I'm, you know, with a macro bet like this, it's like so much easier, because like, it's so fucking obvious. You know, it survived a crisis, it launches, the tech goes massively improving, the community's good, the only on Solana narrative is very good. So, Tolly is one of the best thought leaders in the entire space. You're like, okay, this is, it seems like the highest quality bet. You know, I did a show earlier this week for my community. And you know, what I said is, you have like 500 days to make life -changing money in crypto. And when I say 500 days, that takes you to the top of the next bull market. And I said, look, the secret is that what you're going to do is you're going to have a fully diversified portfolio. You're going to put the majority of your chips into the tokens that you think are very safe. And this was the last ETF that we actually made, it was Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and we put 50 % of our money into Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana. But then we had a few that actually exploded, like Casper exploded. And the $200 investment became worth $101 ,000 and the Kujira $300 investment became a $92 ,000 investment. So, you know, if you did that, your $10 ,000 became worth $400 ,000. And that's, I think, the importance of placing some small bets on the ones that you're pretty scared of. Yeah. But the other flip side of that, as I said, you're better than me, is I end up with the shrapnel of shame sitting in my wallet of all of the things that I bought. And it's fine. It's like a VC. You don't know what's going to fly, what's not. I just never had any of those fly. So I've just got a bunch of shame sitting in various wallets.

Mutually CoDopendent
A highlight from Reunions and Red Flags
"Hello! We are Mutually Codependent, and this is also Mutually Codependent with Adam and Jen. I'm Adam. And I'm Jen. That's Jen. Hi guys. Hello. We're excited to be here, here at our house, in our room, we're excited, just so excited to just be in our room and do whatever the fuck we want, and sometimes record it. So welcome to the show, you should know a little bit by now if this is your first one, sorry. If it's your first one, start at another one. Pick a different intro, and then come back here, go to a normal intro, and then like fast forward one minute, which it was exactly one minute when I said that, I was watching on the screen. So, we have a show for you today, and we're excited to do it for you, that's what I really meant to say, but before we get started, we have to start every show with our strain of the show, and Jen's gonna go over, what are we smoking? This week on Mutually Codependent, we are smoking tropical cookies, a THCA strain, courtesy of Syntex CBD and Texas Canna Health, find it at syntexcbd .net. It is a THCA strain that is sativa dominant, with 20 .6 % THCA, and 0 .28 % Delta 9. It's supposed to help, this strain is supposed to help the user feel creative, focused, and relaxed, which I'm really hoping it does, because that sounds pretty fucking cool. I'm on my way. I Yep. like when you announce the strain of the show, so I have a chance to smoke it. Yeah, that's cool. It's good, the beta -carotylene is the main terpene, but I taste a lot of others too. There's a lot of citrus in it apparently. It is, it's tasty, it's real bright. It's Girl Scout cookies and orange something. Oh, that makes sense. So, yeah, we have more to the show too, we're going to talk about, well, we went to our 20 -year reunion, and it's kind of been a theme we've noticed over the past, I don't know, all the episodes. We keep talking about how we're getting older, or Jen's birthday, we talked, you know, several things. So, we went to our 20 -year... Yeah, the change of perspective, we went to our 20 -year reunion, so if you ever needed to know whether or not you're getting older, that's a really good indication, going to your 20 -year reunion. So we did that, and not only did we do that, we actually helped organize it, which, that's a thing. If you would have told me or Jen when we were in high school that we were going to be the ones responsible, not the only ones, but, you know, we were a big part of it. Part of the planning committee. Yeah, for like, hey, you know what, the 20 -year reunion isn't going to happen without your guys' help. I would have been like, I guess it's not going to happen. But we made a different decision as adults. Yeah, definitely. I would have been like, I would have laughed. I would have just been like, oh, okay. Yeah, because I'm going to come back to Texas, that's probably. And, but, we're both here. And it was kind of like when we were driving back from it, it's basically like one road that goes all the way from our neighborhood that we met in to our neighborhood now. It's literally just Heather Wilde connected the two. It didn't at the time. No, it did not. But now it goes all the way up to Round Rock and that's, you know, where we are. So it was kind of weird like going back to that area and then that was before even talking about people, you know, like we went and saw people that we hadn't even thought about it and who knows how long, but it was good. We decided, hey, you know what, there was like seven or eight of us that decided, hey, you know, we'll have one for ourselves and then, you know, we'll see if there's any interest and if there is, then we'll put together, you know, we'll just do the whole thing. And that's what ended up happening. How many people do you think showed up? 50? Probably about 50. It was a lot more than I expected, to be honest. Yeah, and there were some people that said they were coming, that it didn't show. And then there were people that didn't say anything that showed up. But honestly, it was a good time. I have a lot of social anxiety, especially when it's regarding anything from my teenage years. So being there at that reunion, I was really worried, but honestly, it was fine. I had a really great time and I really enjoyed getting to reconnect with some of the people that we did. I got to see one of my best friends from high school for the first time in 20 years. So that was fantastic and we had a really good time. And we got to smoke weed with some of these people. Yeah, we did. We brought a bunch of party favors. We got the syrup and the gummies and pre -rolls and I even took three or four disposable vapes and passed them out. Yeah, so we got people high and was it a brewery? So we drank. That was fun. But we had a really good time, I think. I got to see Sarah. So I got to see another one of my best friends from high school. Out of my three close girlfriends from high school, two of them were there. Yeah, and you saw the night before you saw it. And then the night before we got to hang out with Tina because we went to our school's homecoming game. And then the bar after. The bar after was a lot of fun, actually. That was, so you and I and then Valerie and Chance and Tina went to Preyston's Bar and Waylon came and met us. That was fun. Yeah, I like that. I like naming all these people for people that don't know who these people are. Yeah, I don't mean to do that. It's just the way that my autistic brain works. I have to like line it up to figure it for me to figure out who was what we were doing. I'm sorry about that. So we were with all these peoples that we've known for like 20 something years. I probably would have told the story the same way. But yeah, so we had a good time though. But I, yesterday I kept singing, when she's not too pretty in the face, but she's super thick. I'm just thinking with my dick. And I was like, why am I thinking, why am I singing that song? Why is that song stuck in my head? And then I remembered when we were out Friday night with people, with everybody from school. We, somebody played that song at the bar like three times in a row. Yeah, it was that weirdo, really big guy that, I don't know. He was strange. Something about him. The one with the beard? No, not that guy. The Hispanic guy? Yeah. I don't know him. The other guy. No, we didn't know them. No, the guy with the beard, he's always there. Yeah. I don't know. He, he like kept trying to insert himself because we were a pretty obviously close group that were there. He was like totally jealous of how well we were all getting along. And he seemed to kind of be ignoring the woman that he was with. And she was probably way out of his league. So you think that he'd appreciate it more? It was probably his sister. I hope not. Based on some of the hand placements I saw. Oh. Who knows? People are fucking weird. I've touched my sister's butt, but it was just to hit it. It wasn't to, you know, there was no grabbing. Not like that guy was a grabber. Anyways, but then on Saturday we had our 20 year reunion at the, at a brewery and it was a lot of fun. And I'd mentioned the brewery, but the beer wasn't really very good and there was like other problems that we had. So yeah, we're excluding the name. To be nice. Yeah. They have like concrete floors and you know, when somebody like digs up the concrete to work on like plumbing or pipes. Dig a trench for a drainage or something, then you have to fill that back in. But they didn't fill it all the way up or maybe it was bad concrete or bad mix or something. And they, uh, the top layer of it was kind of crumbling. So people were tripping on it. Um, and including Jen who fell. Yours truly. I fell, um, hit my knees in the concrete and also landed and caught myself with my right hand, which is the hand that I just had carpal tunnel on two months ago. So that was fun. So that, that feels good. Yeah, that feels fricking fantastic. It's, I went to the, or the urgent care the next morning. It is not broken or fractured. It is only sprained, but it hurts really badly. And we'll see what the hand doctor says on Thursday. Right. Cause the surgery recovery, like you're still during the recovery from your surgery when this happened. So who knows what it's going to do? Hopefully they don't have to like do any more surgery. Hopefully it's just, Oh, that just, it sucks, but it's, it'll heal. Yeah. That's what I'm hoping for, but we don't know. So that's so, yeah, it's so frustrating because you've already been recovering and not able to use your hand for so many different things like lighting your joint, what you're doing, but, uh, yeah, so that's really frustrating. I imagine. I know it is. Um, so yeah, it's super frustrating. It's very annoying. So we did that, but it was really good to see people like everybody. It was a good group that showed up to be honest. Like everybody seemed pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. Who, uh, I mean, I don't think anybody showed up that I wasn't expecting to in like a bad way. Like nobody showed up that I would have been like, no, I don't want that person here. No. And so that's cool. Um, not that there's very many of those, but, um, I feel like I even kind of knew like 90 % of the people there. Yeah. And, and it was, I guess that's what happens when like, we're the ones using like Facebook to do the reunion. Like we're only going to see the people that we already had exposure to. Um, but there were, there were lots of people outside of those groups that didn't show and I know that they know about it, so yeah. Well, I mean, and then, you know, there's like a lot of people have to work on Saturday night. Yeah. A lot of people in the service industry at all. Then, yeah, we had a lot of classmates out to work. Um, you know, a lot of classmates that aren't local or that don't care. We've, we've had people who passed away. Um, we, it, it seems as though we have people who maybe got along a few years ago and we're still their group of friends from high school, we're still a pretty tight knit group and then maybe a few election phases ago is what it kind of seems that that group separated. And then that some of those people, as from what I understand shattered, it's done. Yeah. So, you know, like it's not justifiably, you know, anybody on, you know, one side should, shouldn't put up with the other. Uh, yeah, but, and I, and I know some people like had, you know, have kids and stuff, so they couldn't come, but there were some people, it was good to see some teachers too. That was really cool to see some teachers. We haven't seen them forever. One of my favorite stories to tell from high school, I was about a teacher that I didn't even remember his name, but he was there and I coach Smith, coach Smith. Yeah. Um, I didn't know he was a coach. I'm sure I did when I was in the class, but right this, I was okay. It was integrated chemistry, physics and chemistry, integrated physics and chemistry. ICP. No, IPC. I know. Sorry. We, that was the thing. Cause that was like at the height of Insane Clown Posse's, you know, popularity. I would assume, do you think they have more fans now than they did then? And it is, is it only because of population gain? Like it's just the families of the people who already were fans that now their kids are fans. Uh, anyway, so I had this, uh, integrated physics and chemistry class, which is a pretty entry level class, right? It's your freshmen that you could skip it. Like they're like, you don't really need this class, but it counts for a credit. And so I didn't take it because I wanted to take biology and then I took anatomy and then I took chemistry and then I needed one more. And I didn't want to take physics for whatever reason. I looking back on it, I totally should have taken physics. Yeah, I've been fascinated by physics as an adult. And if I would have really understood what it was or like my potential interest in it, I would have absolutely taken it. I should have, that was dumb, but I did take it. So, uh, didn't take it. Uh, so what, what I did was go backwards to the class that you take freshman year, uh, my senior year. And that's actually all I needed to say for him to like glow up and realize who I was. He's like, Oh yeah, I remember you. So that was fun. Um, but I was also glad that he didn't remember me right away in a negative way because that would have been like, cause I was kind of a shit. Well, yeah, you were a shit. So I didn't know how much of a shit I had been in his class. Um, but he was actually the only teacher that I think I had. I don't know. Maybe I had vineyard, but I just don't remember. But anyway, she taught Spanish. Yeah. Yeah. I think I, for Spanish too, after Treplinsky failed me. So, um, I say that like I actually did all my work and she's failed and still failed me. That's definitely not true. Come to find out she failed everybody. Yeah, she did fail a lot of people that she fought with. Yeah. If she didn't get along with it, she didn't like you. She fought, she failed you. So I'm good for her. So there's a, yeah, so he's, he's there and, and I told him why I remembered him and this story, um, he would, it actually starts with a joke and he would always, uh, you know, mentioned something about a pot for. And, and, uh, and, and he did this and there was a particular person in the class that fell for it every time frequently. Like he did it often enough that everybody else was looking at her like, please don't fall for it again. And she was just, I don't know. I don't even, I think of her and I immediately think of her little friend too. Like they're one person because they were just like, to me, I only ever saw them coming into class together right at the last second and then leaving the class together. And so I just only, and I didn't even look like see them outside of class ever. So my only thought was like these two people together and I don't even remember the other girl's name. Um, and I'm not going to say the name of her because the story is kind of not nice towards her because she kept falling for this joke over and over and over again. And he would just be like, Hey, what, what are you doing over there with that pot for? And she was like, what? You know, the pot for, and what's a pot for? Well, cooking stupid.

Accelerate Your Business Growth
The Seven Biggest Mistakes Business Owners Make
"And the question is, am I doing everything I can to optimize every line item? So, for example, what about my insurance costs? Have I really audited those things? Am I really sure that I'm spending an efficient amount of money on insurance? Am I not overspending? What about capital costs? Should I be spending more on things that help me make more money? And so every time you look at one of these reports, it should trigger your curiosity. And how can I use this report and the information on the report to make my business better now? Oh, that's so great. Because that's the other thing we do. I'm so glad I'm asking these questions. This is the other thing we do. We purchase something that we need, then we never take another look at it to say, is it still meeting my needs? Do I even need it at all? Should I be shopping it to see if there's a more competitive product or service out there? So it sounds to me like these are reminders of where we're spending our money. Absolutely. And boy, I'm going to steal that point. That's a great point. You do that. Because it should stimulate some thought in your mind when you look at these reports. I hate too much detail in my life, but there are times when you really do have to drill down and take a look at this stuff. And a business report is something that you can do either by yourself or if you have a key person with whom you share this information, this is an opportunity then to ask them questions. Do you think we're optimizing this line item? And if not, what could we do to optimize it? So talk to me about key person. Who is that? And why are they considered a key person? What's their value? Another great question. We all know that finding good people is hard to do and it's not getting any easier. And so what happens then is a key person is someone who simply, if you're not there, essentially, the business is going to run. Or if you can't be paying attention to their part of the business, you're going to be okay. There's someone who gets it. And it's entirely possible that a business owner listening to your show right now doesn't have a key person yet. So there always has to be someone who they can hand things off to. And don't forget, that key person may end up buying your business one day. So treat them well. And there are ways to incentivize key persons, key people. And so once you have one, celebrate it because first of all, not everyone has them. But that key person is someone that you trust, that when you're not there, you know they're doing it, that they care, that they're emotionally, psychologically invested in the growth of your business. And it's in that way that you can provide them with certain financial motivations and incentives that will make sure they continue to care that much. And it's so simple. These are people, even if you just say good things to them, positive things to them once in a while, what do they do? They go home and they tell their spouse. And they're excited. So if you find a key person, make sure they're involved and incentivized and make sure they know they're appreciated. Excellent. Yeah, thanks. I'm sure we're not doing enough of that either. Of course, we are talking about the biggest mistakes business owners make. So let's talk about business tax mistakes. Like what would you say is the biggest business tax mistake? Okay. And this is something else. I guess I wouldn't have come up with these if I hadn't seen them a thousand times. But it's organization. What do you mean by that? The issue is that many times, and I get them out of this, but I'll have a business owner client in the early years who will hand me a shoebox. And I'm sorry, but that's not how you should be organized. You should organize yourself in such a way that every bit of information is not only available to your CPA once a year, but is available year around. And there are many reasons for that. You want to audit yourself, first of all. But also, I sold my business last October. In July, I wasn't selling it. I just got a call out of nowhere. And weird, right? Four months later, it's over. I sold it. And I had all of my financial ducks in a row. I listened to myself. I took my own advice. And I had all my numbers, all my taxes, all my costs. And they asked for it. Bam. I gave it right to them. And when someone is going to buy your business, that kind of organization matters. But your CPA is not a mind reader. And so you have to know what they want from you. And you have to have a system in place that you can run by yourself that ensures that you're that organized. So that you're going to give them a nice, tight document. And that sounds kind of trivial, but I'm telling you that's the biggest mistake we make because they can't read your mind. And that's where we miss stuff. And it's not just missing income. It's missing outgo. Or it's missing opportunities to save money. When you're doing taxes, Diane, when you have someone doing your taxes, what are they doing? They're looking in the rear view mirror. They're looking at last year. Well, you have to look through the windshield too. You have to do your planning for the future. And so if you know your tax situation, if you know your numbers, and if you're organized, it makes it much easier to plan ahead to save money. I see. Yeah, that is great. And you mentioned something about selling your business. And I think there's a lot of business owners that either never really think about that or really think they're not going to sell their business. think But I the belief is that they still need some sort of an exit plan. So speak to that. If there's people listening, there's going to be a variety. People listening who it's never entered their mind. They're going to keep doing it till they die, whatever. Okay. I call it the look. And the look is when I'm working with someone for the first time, I'll say, so what's your long -term plan? What's your exit strategy? And they'll look at me like they have no idea what I'm talking about. And I got to tell them, you're building equity in this business, just like you're building equity in your home. And really you want to start planning for the exit of your business five or 10 years out at least. Because there are things... And you know what? This is something that it was like an epiphany that I had about how the things you do to make your business more valuable to sell later, help your business today. It makes your business... Think about selling a used car. You're going to spiff it up. You're going to make sure the oil's changed. And you're going to make sure that it's running for years. And then when you sell it, it's going to sell more easily. Right. So you have to think about exit planning. And the reason for that, not only do you want to maximize... You want to maximize what you get for the business. You want to minimize taxation. You got to plan for that. And you've got to minimize the future legal potential things as well. And so again, this is looking through the windshield instead of the rear view mirror. Remember that when you sell your business, that may be your retirement. And so you may not have had... Maybe instead of putting money into an IRA, you've been putting money into the business. Okay, now it's time to get it back out for retirement. And when we do retirement planning for businesses, it's a little more complicated because we have to think about things like multiples. How much will you be able to sell this business for? What will that look like when it's wrapped into your retirement plan? And so if you're looking down the road... Or it may be that you're going to sell your business and roll that money into another business. Well, we got to plan for that too. And taxes aren't small. They're not insignificant. And so there are ways to minimize your exposure to taxation when you sell your business. The earlier you get to do it, getting in on this, the better for you. But don't forget again, the things you do today can help you later and today. Yeah, right. Right. I'm really glad that you said that because once again, I think people hear exit plan and they think about the future. And what I'm hearing you say is, okay, and it helps you right now because it helps you problem solve, create better efficiencies, things like that. Exactly right. Yeah.

Bloomberg Radio New York - Recording Feed
Monitor Show 14:00 11-01-2023 14:00
"Pop culture is always evolving, and those changes impact our lives in ways that are both visible and not so obvious. I'm Lucas Shaw, and I cover the business of pop culture for Bloomberg. My job is to uncover how entertainment is changing and explain what that means for you, because context changes how you see things, how you change things. Context changes everything. Start exploring my coverage and more at Bloomberg .com. 8 .1 percent, Lisa, lower yields. And this really is driving a lot of the appetite, but in the dollar, you are seeing the strength of the U .S. economy. Let's head over to Bloomberg's Michael McKee with the headlines. No surprises, no news. A few new words. In a unanimous decision, the Fed retains its five and a quarter to five and a half percent target range for its benchmark borrowing rate and retains its language about determining the extent of additional policy firming that may be appropriate. The policymakers' assessment of the economy contains some new adjectives, but no new information. Activity expanded at a strong pace in the third quarter instead of solid. Job gains have moderated instead of slowed. Inflation remains elevated. The statement says tighter financial and credit conditions for households and businesses are likely to weigh on economic activity. That adds the word financial to the sentence, and it may be a nod to the idea expressed by many Fed officials that raising market rates are doing some of the Fed's work for it, a reason not to have raised rates today. This is the second meeting in a row that the Fed has held rates unchanged, and although the dot plot suggests one more move by the end of the year, the markets may interpret today's decision as confirming that rates have peaked. That's going to be a key question for Chairman McKee.

The Eric Metaxas Show
A highlight from Doug Giles
"Welcome to the Eric Mataxas show. We'll get you from point A to point B. But if you're looking for point C, well buddy, you're on your own. But if you'll wait right here in just about two minutes, the bus to point C will be coming right by. And now here's your Ralph Kramden of the Airways, Eric Mataxas. Folks, welcome back. In this brief segment, I'm going to talk to the author of a brand new book. Now the title of the book should be obvious. In fact, not only should it be obvious, it is obvious. The title of the book is obvious. Albin Sator is the author, obviously. Albin, everything in the book is the statement of things that we've got to say over and over because they're true and we're living in a time where people are trying to shove lies down our throats. So the book is humorous, pithy, and unfortunately important. Obvious, seeing the evil that's in plain sight, doing something about it. There's something in here. The beautiful part of this book, one of the beautiful parts of this book is your kindergarten picture. You actually, in the book, there's a picture of your kindergarten class. I could cry. It's so cute and beautiful. I know. The children are so cute, especially those two twins in the back row. I'm telling you, they're the cutest. Are you one of those twins? I'm guessing. I might be. And my identical twin brother is standing right next to me. I think. I can't tell because I can't tell us apart. Wait, are you both identical? Yeah. My mother and father assured us, let's just put it that way. Because it doesn't really, if only one of you is identical, then you can't be identical twins. That's just the way it works. There's a mirror at the end of that aisle. And I think it's just, but anyway. It's a picture of your kindergarten class. You and your twin brother are in the back row. So go ahead. Yeah. And this is okay. I'm going to give a little bit about my age here. This was the East street school that doesn't exist there anymore. They tore it down for I -279 or something like that in Pittsburgh. Anyway, but we're all lined up. This is May of 1960. Okay. This was as early as you can get in the sixties. And I talk about the specific things in the photo itself. It's besides the fact that everybody's cute and none of the kids is overweight. We're all, you know, we're all in our Sunday best as it were. There's like 22 of us. And there's another era. None of these kids is doing blow. I mean, it's an era where kindergarteners are not doing cocaine. But seriously, it's such a beautiful picture. I really could get choked up looking at it. Yeah. And I it's so funny because I'm even looking at the little girl that I found so cute. I was like, boy, I'd like to marry that one down there. And here I am five and a half years old, of course. And there's even in the middle, there's even, this is 1960 folks. There's a black baby doll among the toys in the front of the picture. I thought Mattel in 1990 came up with black baby dolls. What they had them actually in the 1960s. Oh yeah, folks. And there's like four black children in the group. And then, you know, at the time it was probably, I don't, you know, which was about, what is that about 15, 20, 20 % of the children. And we're in a neighborhood. It's like the lower middle -class neighborhood where that kindergarten was. So it was representative. And this is 1960 folks. Remember what happened at the end of 1960, how all H E double toothpicks broke out. Yeah. But anyway, that's why I love that picture. You should really spell out the word toothpicks, if you don't mind in the future. Well, or, or hockey sticks too. Either way. So this is a picture of your kindergarten class and what is the larger point that you're making? Because that's, I mean, the title of this chapter, these are all very short chapters, is what a difference a decade makes. Yes. One of the obvious things I'm stating, and the reason why I have the children there, there's an article that goes along with that. And it, I think it's titled one of the chapters racism is for losers. And my, when my mother was picking us up at the kindergarten one day, another mother, I overheard this said to my mother, Oh, look at, look at your twins. They're playing with that little black boy over there. And I talking about because our best friend, there was one of the little black boys in the school. And we didn't, we're not aware of him as being black. He was just your friend. Yeah. Because he played with the same toys and had the same, you know, kind of sense of fun that we had because we were children and nobody was saying, Hey, you know, you may think you're a little boy, but you twins, you're not identical twins. Want to use a little girl and want to use not a little girl. You see what we're talking about? Nobody was shoving any of this stuff down to anybody's throat back then. This is 1960 folks. What happened at the end? Where are we today? How far are we come? Like how far backwards have we gone? And I get fired up about this stuff, right? Well, no, it is, it's just astonishing that the, the innocence, this is one of the great crimes of our time. And this is why, ladies and gentlemen, you need to be doing your part in the war against evil, whatever that means. Running for school board, homeschooling your kids, being a poll watcher, whatever God calls you to do. Cause God has a job for every one of us, but to combat the lies, you have to face the fact. And again, this is one of the points of the book that one of the things that is obvious is the loss of innocence. And that to me is one of the most heartbreaking, maybe the most heartbreaking thing is the loss of innocence that little kids, because of the madness on the left, they're growing up in a world where they're being made aware of things that they should never be made aware of at a young age. They should not hear about this at a young age. They shouldn't be confused about sexual identity. It shouldn't be even introduced to them. And little kids are being forced to deal with this. They're being forced to deal with the concept of racism. It is so wrong to impose this kind of stuff on children. It's bad enough when you try to impose it on adults, but the idea, just looking at that picture in the book, that it really was a more innocent time.

The Breakdown
A highlight from SBF Gets Absolutely Buried in Cross-Examination
"Welcome back to The Breakdown with me, NLW. It's a daily podcast on macro, Bitcoin, and the big picture power shifts remaking our world. What's going on, guys? It is Tuesday, October 31st. Happy Halloween. Today, we are talking about Sam Bankman -Fried on cross -examination. Before we get into that, however, if you are enjoying The Breakdown, please go subscribe to it, give it a rating, give it a review, or if you want to dive deeper into the conversation, come join us on the Breakers Discord. You can find a link in the show notes or go to bit .ly slash breakdown pod. Hello everyone. First, let me say before we get into more SPF, a big happy 15th birthday to the Bitcoin whitepaper. Crazy to think that that was 15 years ago, a decade and a half of Bitcoin. Here is to many, many more. All right, well, we are firmly down in the muck with SPF and if yesterday's show was all about Friday's prepared testimony and direct examination, and specifically how Sam contradicted the previous testimony of Caroline, Gary, and Nishad, Monday's testimony and today's show is all about the cross -examination. Just to level set a little bit for how that went, here's how Laura Shin described it. Hey everyone. We just got out of the courthouse and I think it's pretty fair to say that at this moment it just feels like it's over for Sam Pinkman -Fried. Honestly, if before lunch it felt like we were witnessing a murder, then afterward we were witnessing somebody just stab a dead body over and over and over and over and over again. Basically, Danielle Sassoon again trotted out multiple statements that Sam Pinkman -Fried made and multiple statements where he contradicted those statements, you know, was often evasive. She just caught him in so many things. Alright, so let's dig into this. Technically yesterday began with the end of the direct examination. There were a few things covered. One was this hedging defense that somehow everything would have been fine if Caroline Ellison had just hedged, like Sam told her to. SPF said that he had numerous conversations about hedging with the then CEO of Alameda, saying that he had directed Caroline to hedge once in late June or early July, and then following up throughout September. Sam told the court that Alameda's net asset value had already fallen from $40 billion to $10 billion, and that he was, quote, worried that Alameda might become insolvent. Sam discussed Caroline's teary -eyed response, where she agreed that Alameda should have hedged and that maybe they shouldn't have had so many venture investments. He said that she had offered to step down as CEO, but that he wasn't trying to push her out, and that his, quote, biggest concern was that if Alameda remained unhedged that it might go bankrupt. And so I thought that the focus should be on urgently putting on the hedges that would protect against that. Sam explained that Alameda had put on hedges in September, but they weren't as large as he would have wanted. Thus, he directed Caroline to increase the hedges. I will take a pause here and note two things. First of all, on the one hand, Sam has tried to testify that he didn't know what was going on at Alameda and didn't have any control. And yet here, he's talking about how many times he has directed the CEO to take a very specific action. It kind of feels like one of those you can't have it both ways and either you were the de facto CEO or you weren't kind of situations. Second, and something that I'm sure will come up with the jury, hedging in Alameda's performance doesn't have any real bearing on whether or not Sam committed fraud by knowingly using FTX customer funds for his hedge fund slash financial playground. It is a distraction and really has more to do with what might have happened if we had never found out. Now, speaking of what Sam did or didn't know, he also tried to suggest that he didn't really have any idea what was going on until October. He claimed that in October 2022, he had been given direct access to the FTX database, which was previously only accessible by developers. He said that he used this access to build a full view of Alameda's accounts. During that investigation, Sam claims that he learned about the hidden accounts including Se -Yoon 88, which has been sometimes referred to as our Korean friend during reporting. That account was used to wall off Alameda's liabilities to FTX in an account that didn't accrue interest. Now again, this contradicts everything that we've heard from every other witness, but alas, that's what Sam testified. The defense moved on to the final week of FTX, beginning with the release of the Alameda balance sheet in a Coindesk article. Sam acknowledged that he discussed Caroline sending a tweet which would refute the claims. That tweet said, quote, Now again, another revealing part of this testimony, and remember, this is direct examination. This is Sam being questioned by his own lawyers. Is Sam seeming to think that any entity that he was connected to could just move assets freely back and forth between them? He's literally explaining here that a holding company, a shell corporation created entirely to hold Sam's equity in FTX, counted as an asset for Alameda. While Sam seems to think that that's a good defense, to me, it kind of just makes the point clear that he never saw any barriers or differentiation between any project that he was the head of, or any entity that he had ownership over. In other words, if Sam thought he could just move assets from the shell company Paperbird onto the Alameda balance sheet to shore it up to external eyes, is the jury really supposed to believe that he wouldn't do the same thing with FTX customer deposits? Now when it comes to the final days and hours of FTX, Sam basically reinforced over and over that he believed that they had enough resources to take care of everything and that it was all CZ's fault for triggering a loss of confidence and, as he wanted to characterize it, a run on the bank. He also tried to sow doubt when it came to Nishad Singh, as Sam recalled Nishad messaging him about trading his personal account to clear his debts. There were over $500 million in loans for investments and donations that had been papered in Nishad's name, along with $80 million for personal expenditure. Sam said that Nishad was quote, actively suicidal at the time and was being overseen by a therapist. The two of them discussed Sam taking the blame, with Nishad concerned that FTX employees would think it was all his fault. Sam wrote, At this stage, the testimony broke down into a long objection about whether Sam could testify to telling Nishad that he didn't think they did anything wrong. The evidence was ultimately disallowed. The testimony concluded with a discussion of the 11th hour plans to raise funds. Sam spoke to his attempts to raise funds from Apollo Global Management. He detailed his discussion with FTX General Counsel Kan Sun, but told a very different version of the story. Sam claimed quote, That said, Sam claimed to believe there were additional buckets of assets held within FTX which would cover Alameda's borrowing. Primarily, he seemed to be referring to using assets that customers had staked on the exchange to backfill Alameda's shortfall. Sam said, Now, of course, Sun's testimony had been very clear that he told Sam that the size of those buckets was dwarfed by the size of Alameda's borrowing. From there, we got into the cross -examination. Today's episode is brought to you by Kraken. For far too long, the whole financial system has been standing still, too slow, only on for certain hours, overly designed for some types of people, but not for others. Crypto, at its best, represents progress. It asks the question, what if? It invites people in instead of leaving them out. It's on 24 -7, 365, and moves at the speed of real life. Not everyone believes it, we've got our fair share of detractors, but that's the way it always is when you're building something new. Kraken is a crypto company that has been through the highs and lows of the industry, facing forwards towards progress throughout. And now they're inviting us to see what crypto can be. Cryptocurrency services are provided to U .S. and U .S. territory customers by Payword Ventures Inc., PVI, DBA, Kraken. The cross was led by Assistant U .S. Attorney Danielle Sassoon, and she began the prosecution's cross -examination by establishing that Sam held majority ownership over both FTX and Sam was involved in Alameda's trading by 2022. He responded, depends on how you define trading. He added that, I would say I was not involved for the most part. I would not say I was not involved in any way at all. Now of course, the line of questioning was designed to trap Sam in a lie, which would be a running theme throughout the cross -examination. Sassoon presented evidence that Sam had told Caroline and Sam Tribuco, then co -CEOs for Alameda, to purchase OXI and MAPS tokens. Sam had written to them, guessing we should top longer one to two million of each over the next day or two. Sam rejected this position, claiming this was not a direction to trade. From there, however, Sassoon did get Sam to admit that he had directed Alameda to buy Japanese government bonds and place hedges, which Sam agreed was a form of trading. Sassoon then moved on to Sam's press tour. Sam agreed that he had tried to speak truthfully and precisely about the collapse of FTX. The vast bulk of Sam's answers were simply responding yes or no to the prosecutor. His lawyers had no doubt warned him to keep his answers brief to avoid a repeat of last Thursday's disastrous cross -examination. That was of course when Sam had testified without the jury present and continuously gave lengthy answers which provided additional fuel to the prosecution. Sam agreed that he had tried to be careful about what he said in public and had even cleared some of his comments with his public relations team. It was at this stage that Sam's recollection began to fail him and he became unable to recall what he said during various interviews, which would again be another theme of the cross -examination. Specifically, Sassoon turned to a Twitter Spaces held during Sam's media tour and asked Sam whether he had said that he was not involved with Alameda's trading and had not been for years at that point. Sassoon proposed to play a recording of the Twitter Spaces for the court to hear and to aid with Sam's suddenly faulty memory. The defense objected, claiming that the two sides had previously had a gentlemanly agreement to share exhibits to be used in cross -examination the night before. Sassoon said that the defense had not asked for these exhibits and there was nothing in court rules preventing her from playing the recording. The tape was played with Sam of course stating that he was not involved with Alameda's trading. Sassoon offered another exhibit showing that Sam had made public statements that he had stepped away from involvement in Alameda's trading due to conflicts of interest. In an article published by the Financial Times last December, Sam had said that this was quote, related to his role as guardian of customer assets. Sam of course could not recall making these statements. Sassoon moved on to statements about how Sam had pitched FTX. Sam acknowledged that he had promoted FTX to investors on the basis that its automated liquidation protocol set it apart from other exchanges. Sassoon questioned Sam about statements he made to Congress, describing FTX as a safe crypto exchange. Sam acknowledged general statements of that nature but said he could not recall specifically. After establishing that Sam communicated with potential customers using his Twitter account, Sassoon asked Sam if he made representations about how customer assets would be treated on FTX. Sam agreed with the premise but again couldn't recall specifics. She asked whether Sam had promoted FTX as a safe exchange. He responded that this might have been the case with FTX US but he wasn't sure about FTX International. When asked whether he acted like he cared about consumer protection, Sam responded, I think I did care about them, yes. Coming to the point, Sassoon asked Sam whether he made public statements that FTX was a safe platform. He responded, I remember things around specific parts of the FTX platform that were related to that. I don't remember a general statement to that effect. I am not sure there wasn't one. Of course, the prosecution had an exhibit to clarify Sam's memory. They presented a tweet from August 2021 which stated, As always, our users' funds and safety comes first. Putting an even finer point on the issue, Sassoon presented a tweet from October 2022 in which Sam had described the crypto ethos as economic freedom, the freedom to own your own assets. Sassoon managed to get Sam to acknowledge that when he made that tweet, he knew Alameda was carrying an $8 billion liability to FTX. Now what you see here is the pattern of what the prosecutor was trying to do. She's trying to catch Sam in lies that are relevant in the specifics but also relevant in the fact that he's just lying. Prosecution moved on to Sam's testimony in front of Congress. Sam admitted that he had filed a document which laid out FTX's key principles for ensuring investor protections on digital asset platforms. This document included numerous opinions on how to protect crypto customers including the avoidance of conflicts of interest. Sam acknowledged that conflicts of interest are a quote potential problem. Sassoon turned to Sam's public support for regulation. She alleged that it was simply a marketing ploy and not an earnestly held position for Sam which he disagreed with. Sassoon put it to Sam that quote, Sam responded, To which of course the prosecution presented a text message conversation between Sam and Vox's Kelsey Piper which had occurred in early November. Kelsey had asked Sam whether his pro -regulation stance was just for PR reasons. Sam was made to read his response to the courtroom. Yeah, just PR. Fuck regulators. Now Sassoon noted that Sam had testified under oath before Congress that FTX's risk management program required customers to pledge collateral on the platform itself rather than holding collateral off platform. Sam agreed that he had given roughly that testimony. The prosecution presented an exhibit of Sam's congressional testimony which sparked a humorous misunderstanding. The defense said that they had no objection to the exhibit as long as it wasn't being presented for its truth but merely as evidence that Sam had said it. Sassoon, a little perplexed, noted that it was Sam's own statements. When asked by the judge how she was offering the document, Sassoon responded, Sassoon presented Sam with a marketing deck published by FTX which described how poorly futures exchanges are designed. The document stated that rival exchanges had quote, lost hundreds of millions of dollars of customer funds to clawbacks. When asked to read a bullet point on how FTX was solving those issues, Sam obstinately responded, This gets to another point that many who are in the courtroom reported, that Sam was acting throughout this testimony fairly petulantly. Whether that endears him to the jury or not I guess remains to be seen. Sam was asked a series of questions which required him to confirm that customers were not allowed to use outside collateral to trade on FTX. For example, he acknowledged that a customer could not pledge their house as collateral. Seeming as though she had sprung the trap, Sassoon asked if there were any customers aside from Alameda who were allowed to pledge outside collateral not held on FTX. Sam responded, He said that a firm called CryptoLotus had been allowed to do this and that FTX had considered allowing Three Arrows Capital to use outside collateral as well. This unexpected answer seemed to throw Sassoon off her tempo. She asked follow -up questions about how large CryptoLotus' account was and whether this special privilege was disclosed to the public. The prosecution was then handed a note from an FBI agent seated in the front row who had previously given testimony. Regaining her bearing, Sassoon asked whether Sam was friends with the head of CryptoLotus. He responded that he was not. However, finding the right question, Sassoon asked whether Sam had a personal relationship with anyone at CryptoLotus. Sam responded that he had been friends with a more junior employee at the firm. Now, this line of questioning was essentially the only weak point in the cross -examination where Sam ever so briefly had gained the upper hand. However, Sam still brought home the point, getting Sam to admit that Alameda and CryptoLotus stood alone as the only firms allowed to pledge collateral, not custody with FTX. Turning to Sam's public statements about Alameda special privileges, Sam had a vague recollection of stating that Alameda played by the same rules as other customers but denied saying they had no special privileges. He said that, When asked if he said that Alameda and FTX operated separately, Sam responded that Contrary to that, however, the prosecution presented an exhibit in which Sam stated that Sassoon put to Sam that this statement was general and not limited just to frontrunning. Sam responded, Now, if you're scratching your head, basically the point here is that Sam is trying to argue that every time he said that Alameda was just like everyone else, he was only referring to frontrunning and that Alameda didn't have special access to CFTX users' trades. From there, there were a couple instances of the prosecution trying to catch Sam in low -stakes evasion. For example, he was asked whether he flew to the Super Bowl on a private plane. Sam responded that he couldn't remember. Sassoon quipped, Sam responded, Now, one of the more revealing parts of the testimony, which gets back to what I was saying before about how Sam just treated everything and every entity he owned as all part of one big conglomerate, Sassoon began to ask questions about more specific spending from Alameda. She asked about a tranche of Robinhood shares purchased by Sam using 546 million borrowed from Alameda. The loans were originated in May 2022. Sassoon established that shortly after the purchase, Sam transferred the shares into a holding company owned by Sam and other FTX executives. After a bit of back and forth about the corporate structure of various entities involved in the deal, Sassoon landed the punch. She presented an affidavit showing that Sam had tried to transfer the Robinhood shares from the FTX state into his own name. Sassoon asked, that at that moment, FTX customers could not withdraw funds. Sam answered that he was, Towards the end of the long day, Sassoon moved back to June of 2022, when Alameda paid back loans from external lenders. She asked if Sam knew this would put FTX at risk, which he refused to admit. Trying again, she asked whether Sam knew there was, Again, Sam avoided responding, saying that he, Sassoon asked whether this meant that Sam knew there was some risk. He responded that, Seeing her opening, Sassoon moved in for the kill. She asked, Sam said, I don't think that's what happened, and I'm also not saying that's not margin trading. An exasperated judge demanded that Sam answer the question. When asked if his testimony was that paying back lenders was a margin trade, Sam said, In response to further questioning on whether repaying loans was a margin trade, Sam offered the response, Now, this was broadly how the cross -examination went across the grueling hearing. Sassoon would often pin Sam down to a position, and then present evidence of seemingly contradictory prior statements. In other lines of questioning, Sam would say that he couldn't recall pivotal tweets and interviews throughout the rise and fall of FTX, and Sassoon would then put those words in front of Sam and have him read them back for the jury, or play back interview segments which showed Sam as fleeting the world, given what we now know. Now when it comes to how he appeared, Sam seemed evasive at times. Throughout the cross -examination, he answered that he wasn't sure or couldn't recall nearly times. 150 Most catastrophically for his case, Sam also appeared to be misleading. He was caught over and over and over again in contradictory statements on both large and small topics. The prosecution was able to put direct evidence to him regarding misleading public statements, and he failed to come up with a single convincing explanation. In other words, the cross -examination appeared to go about as poorly as it possibly could have for Sam, which of course was largely in line with the predictions offered by legal commentators throughout the case. Basically, every lawyer that has spoken to the idea of Sam giving testimony has repeated the traditional wisdom that a defense attorney should never allow their client to take the witness stand and open themselves up to cross -examination. With this dissection of Sam's narrative, we got a practical demonstration of why that legal advice is always given. Sam was constantly bristling at the questioning. Multiple reporters who are familiar with Sam's character noted that in the past, Sam would often snap during this kind of tough questioning. During Twitter spaces or hostile interviews, he would often belittle anyone who questioned his motives or his actions. With that response unavailable to him, Sam was obviously simmering with rage at points but had to keep a lid on it. The question, of course, will be whether or not the jury got the same impression of Sam as the scores of crypto reporters who packed the courtroom, each of whom are far more likely at this point with Sam's nature than they care to be. The prosecution was not done with Sam by the end of the day. They expected to take another couple of hours this morning to cement the theory of the case they presented in the opening arguments. That FTX was an empire built on Sam's lies. That Sam had lied to counterparties, to banks, to investors, and to customers. And that through their cross -examination, they were going to put Sam's lies front and center for the jury to see. Teddy Schleifer, a reporter at Puck News, summed it up this way. I feel like the big thing that Sassoon has really gone at is this idea of truth. That Sam is lying. All morning it's been, here's an interview you gave to a reporter. Here's something you said to Congress. Here's something you said on Twitter, to customers. It really makes me think back to the opening statement. How they're really going to make him out to be a liar. What's more, Teddy continued. Sam has not mounted a credible defense to date. The entire defense case is basically Sam. If you're a juror and you're trying to sit there asking what is the reason I have to vote to acquit, I don't know what you're looking at. You're basically believing that this character is more credible than the preponderance of documentary evidence and Caroline, Nishad, and Gary. I don't think Sam has given that juror a reason to acquit. Now Carly Riley, the host of Overpriced JPEGs, put it a little bit more bluntly. She said, incredibly semantic and pedantic for sure, but also like an asshole. One person said to me, So friends, that is the wrap of yesterday's testimony. I'm sure we will do a little conclusion tomorrow on the end of the cross -examination. From there, we will be on to the final witnesses for the defense, closing arguments, and then jury deliberations. But for now, we will wrap there, and I will say, until tomorrow, be safe and take care of each other.

Nutrition On-The-Go for First Responder Spouses With Megan Lautz
"Talk about nutrition for the spouses So are the people at home who you know tend to maybe eat cheese and crackers for dinner girl dinner Yeah, yes three days in a row. I have there talk to us about that What do you suggest for the spouses at home who are running kids to sports and have a crazy schedule in general? Like where can we kind of tailor our nutrition a little better? Sure, so there's kind of a couple different things here and I'll talk about remind me to talk about sports because the first -hand should I want to kind of go on with this is when you are in charge of the kids for long periods of time without Additional support or you also have a job as well that you're working The tendency is to skip meals Right a lot of females just have a tendency to skip meals and a lot of females also have a tendency to go lower Protein like the dudes when I'm like, hey, like you should have this amount of protein spread through four meals a day They're like, yes say less into it when I tell them they have to have more fiber through fruits and vegetables They want to set me on fire But with women we have a tendency to skip meals because we get busy and then they tend to overeat at night Like they finally get to sit down and you know the kids are in bed and then they're trying to eat anything that's gonna take the edge off and sometimes that can be fueled by Alcohol or if you're in your state where it's legal Weed and right people are picking up all kinds of different things So they tend to overeat and then it just becomes this kind of cycle and they also report low energy So the first thing that I tend to work with spouses on is trying to get more regular meals in even if they're not perfect So if it's a protein shake and a piece of fruit lies, you're spreading out the door to get that kid to school Then that's fine, right or even if it's like a skim milk latte with the Starbucks egg bites, right? It's something on the go. It's it's higher protein that kind of thing and if it's cheese and crackers, okay Sometimes I'll tell people you can do a snack plate for dinner It's just trying to maybe add a veggie or a fruit in there and really base that we're looking for in your meals is if you Can get a protein and a plant and a plant is a fruit or a vegetable at three meals You're doing better than 90 % of the population, right? And I'm not saying you shouldn't have a car and you're not you shouldn't have a fat We just all know like that's the first thing we're gonna put on our plate, right? Like we're picking that the cut the bread the crackers the cheese like not the cheese is not carved Megan God I have one job, you know, it's delicious. Well, yeah, right. So, you know, we're gonna put the carb on the plate It's just the thing that people forget is to get that protein and that plant and you can do that at a fast -food Restaurant you can do that at a station dinner. You know what I mean? You just have to be a little bit more choosy if that makes sense so that's kind of the the first place that I would start is just to make sure you're trying to get a little bit more Regular meals and see how that impacts your energy levels and body composition as well Because typically people are looking for a little bit of muscle gain and fat loss.

"This year, we've heard a lot about shoplifting and crime problems in San Francisco. A lot of retailers are leaving because the shoplifting and the crime is just getting worse. But the national retail federations just put out their stats on the worst cities for shoplifting and San Francisco isn't number one. It actually comes in number two. Los Angeles for the fifth year in a row is number one. You would think, okay, New York City, nope, they used to be number one for a long time. They're down to fourth. Houston, number three, followed by New York, Seattle, Atlanta, Sacramento, and Chicago tied. Denver, Miami, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, time for technically, I guess, ninth. It's kind of strange to think that some of these cities have shoplifting problems. It makes sense in the big cities, your LA, New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, major cities, top five cities in population in America. But to have Albuquerque and Sacramento show up there as well, I don't know if that's demographics or more importantly, that's economics. There's a lot going on and it'd be interesting to see even more stats even deeper.

"So yeah, I have here it's like, and this kind of echoes my review. In my review, I said that Taika Waititi puts a tightrope out and on one side you have genuinely funny and on the other side you have two cute for its own good. And he kind of wobbles back and forth for the entire movie back between those two. And as an audience, you're going to follow one side or the other. You're either going to love this and think it's funny or you're going to fall over the side that you're rolling your eyes and you're not going to stop. You're going to go one way or the other right now. There's not to be an in between. I should have burned one down before I sing that. Yeah. They did. I'm sure before they wrote it. They were probably neck deep in the gummies right in the script. Tested Thompson didn't have enough to do. And that was filmed. She did not. And she didn't seem like her character in the previous film. I didn't recognize her. She didn't have, yeah, I get to go with a lot of it, like you said, was not, didn't survive. But most of the stories breezy, funny, and then bail and Natalie Portman's storylines are darker. More ominous. And sometimes that creates an uneven movie. It's a very uneven I thought storyline. Yeah. And that can make your pacing fill off. It felt like it was longer than two hours. It was watching it. Yeah, and not to interrupt on that, but it's like, yeah, even the very beginning of the film, when he's going through and then he meets the first God. It's not a spoiler alert. It's like, but it goes in there and it's like, it's like, you had this extremely dramatic moment leading up to it, and then he goes to this oasis, and then there's just this fucking stand up comedian is the God. And it was like, it just seems so weird. That was the very beginning of the film. Yeah, okay, sorry. But it was, well, so we had to get through the trailers and such, but roughly an hour, not even an hour into the film. Like Taylor said, a couple stood up, walked out, and I'm like, I wonder if they're just going to be gone, because I had been watching it for an hour, or it wasn't even an hour. It was an hour and 15 later, and we had missed 15. It was basically an hour. Because I looked at my watch, I'm like, oh my God, 'cause it's bad if I'm watching it immediately thinking how am I going to review this? And not getting immersed. I'm like, welcome to my world. Yeah. I was just talking mad shit about the film in my head. But I looked at my watch, and I'm like, it's not even been an hour, and this couple has gotten up and left. I wonder if they're coming back. And they didn't. At the same time, I noticed some dude snoring. He was so on some logs. It's really hard. Down somewhere on the first row and nobody gave a shit enough to go and be like, hey, give him a nudge. He wasn't loudly. I mean, he was loudly snoring. Yeah.

"So maybe a little bit higher than that, maybe like knee or thigh level or whatever. And then watching everything happen. Right behind them is essentially the first row of media section. I was literally sitting right behind Grant Hill. I was center court first row basically that wasn't courtside for coach K's last game. And for duke UNC and guys, I've got to tell you, I have never experienced a better basketball, a full basketball game, like I've experienced a better moment. The one better moment that I would say I've experienced was the Chris Jenkins shot. Against UNC in the national championship game that one Villanova the title, I was literally courtside like right in front of Chris Jenkins as he made that shot. That was incredible and unbelievable and something I will never see again. But for a full game for the atmosphere for every single thing that you could imagine again being, this was it. I don't know that I will ever experience anything better than this event, the energy, the sheer ambiance of the moment, like it's hard to, it's hard to put into words like you could feel. Like the last ditch Ness of it all. Like you always feel that in an elimination game, but this felt different. Because it was essentially like a WWE style retirement match for coach Kay. It was the undertaker losing to Brock Lesnar. People are still shocked when it happened. Like, wait a minute, the streak, like it's over, like, coach Kate, like this. Yeah, and immediately people started like, is it it? Does he have one more? He had no emotion, but for that moment it had to be actually pretty insane. It's real to be that close to. The one that I was thinking of was Shawn Michaels like mouthing, I love you to Ric Flair. Right before a sweet chin music sim. Except it was Caleb love drilling a dribble handoff three right in front of Mark Williams face to win the game for UNC. Well, the difference is Shawn Michaels does the foot tap and says, I'm sorry, I love you. To Ric Flair because that was somebody he idolized growing up in contrast, Brady max and bang bang, you know, as he said. So there's difference and you can add some, I can't hear as the family program. So a little different, but I always appreciate the wrestling analogies. So yeah, the energy from the crowd was incredible, like off the charts. Duke fans, UNC fans, it was a sea of blue. Everyone stood the entire game. Like, I had probably three rows worth of like media behind me. Before the fans started. And then on top of it, I don't know if you knew this, but someone told me this, like, I guess it's accurate. Apparently, if you win or if you get to a national title game, you get front row seats as a coach for the rest of your life to the national to the final four..

The footage as it were, if you know what that means I would start it and stop it, and I'm watching the people right behind him in the first role. And you can. You can pinpoint the moment that they realize he just did a home run. Then when the camera shot aims to the outfield watch, and I did this watch the reaction of some of the pictures and the Cardinals bullpen. Then watch some of the reaction of the fans sitting right behind the bullpen, which had they had the best view of the ball clearing the wall and what I enjoyed. There are Cardinal lot of Cardinals fans. There were Cardinals fans right there. In the first row of the of the bleachers right behind the bullpen for ST Louis and a couple of them just get up and like before the ball has landed. They're getting up and they're like turning around and picking up their things and leaving. It's the funniest thing. It reminded me of the famous um Kurt Gibson World Series winning home run. Where you watch the footage and you can see the brake lights of a car that's leaving Dodgers Stadium. The brake lights go on the minute. The ball hits the bleachers because somebody was listening on the radio and In the moment they slammed on the brakes. It's it's it provides minutes and minutes of fun. All i'm saying is he saw what he can't carry a team of less with more he can't do more with less. Okay fine if you want to that say that but this notion that somehow is fading with george couldn't get out the first round his first three years. Lebron james never lost in the first row. Okay but the point was even the great. James worthy said after the game on the local. La station laker station. That it just might be the most shameful loss in lakers playoff history. It was pretty shameful ending with lebron walking up tongue. Forty so so i guess losing game fixing the nba finals by thirty nine to arch drive with the boston celtics. It's just how it looked. "Are the leads me to the last sort of here. It's involving the fans as well as we come out of the pandemic and we see crowds in rina's it's phenomenal to watch obviously makes the experience so much better. You know watching those fans of madison square garden and made me so into the knick game. I was watching a bruin game. The other daily sold out crowd. It sounded so loud. I'm not the biggest auto racing fangio. But even like watching indy. Five hundred was amazing. Like all those people screaming but with that obviously fans are back. And i don't know like i don't think i'm overstating this it's been one of the one of the worst weeks of my life of seeing fans do some bad shit regarding players throwing stuff spitting. I think from right about that on trae. Young jimmy trainer was on my podcast last week and he was pretty alarmist. He said he believed. This is only the beginning. He said there's a lot of grievance and shitload anger out. There people been cooped up in their house for a year and he thinks this is going to come out both between fan and athletes and fan and fan. I was a little. I try to take them off the track. Saying you know it's early. Let's see what happens but you know this week. It it bolstered his argument mine with russell westbrook and kyrie and trae young. And i don't know how do you see it. I mean are we. I hope we're not heading for like you. Know a a minimum malice at the palace. Connor like world. But i mean. I can't deny watching front of me either. Well is not as malice in the palace that i worry about you. And i both old enough to remember monica zealous. That's what i worry about a lot of today's sports fans don't remember that moment or maybe weren't even alive then but you know it really did happen. Somebody ran on the court and stabbed one of the best tennis players in the world in front of everybody and I think this is representative of the mood in our country. It's very angry right now. And i think the pandemic is some of it. Don't get me wrong. Because as you said people have been cooped up in their houses but being cooped up in your house is is not gonna automatically say you know what sounds like a good idea. Me trying to spit on trae young. I don't think it's just. I don't think it's just that. I think it's anger and our country right now is very politically. Divided is very racially divided as it was i think athletes especially black athletes. Especially the nba. Because they have been very vocal and out front particularly about social issues that it is created a level of tax society Between players and fans. That i think is probably at an all time high You know there's a sense of entitlement that fans have when they go to games You know these games are expensive as hell and especially if you're in a good seat because you you ever noticed that a lotta times early some of the times. It seems like the worst behavior comes from the people who sit. Well look the golden state owner a couple years ago right. The guy was sitting in the first row of the of the stadium. Is like what you mad. I you sitting courtside and that was what to roll. He's he's behind fifty said okay. Like what are you pissed about right and so you know even years ago with the mouth of the palace. That beard didn't come from a couple rows up okay so you know when people are in these expensive seats. They really feel like that. They deserve to be part of the action and not just a spectator and especially when it comes to players families. They don't feel like that's off limits at all thinking about what john moran and his family went through being subjected to a lot of verbal abuse from fans. But there is a deep sense of of entitlement that they have that's is is unfathomable but yet looking into context. It's sort of explainable. I mean somebody said this to me a long time ago. Actually not that long ago you know who was. I just remembered it was my former partner and friend michael smith and he was talking about We got on the conversation with his on air or not about how the fantasy football nature of sports has led fans to have a far deeper fucked up sense of entitlement when it comes to athletes because they really look at them. Like your mic commodity. I own you you know. And it's almost on a higher level. I would say the movie stars. You know like when tom cruise in a movie. I don't think the person watches own. Tom cruise like here for my entertainment or whatever they may have. Fan interactions that sort of create that sense of feeling. But nobody's going to throw a bottle at the rocks head because they didn't like fast and furious. I mean granted. He's big as fuck so they wouldn't anyway. But you know what i'm saying. I but feel that same relationship but with sports it's different is that they're in. I do think racial makeup is a part of it is especially when it comes to black athletes who they feel like. They have given their careers. By the way underlining given they because of that. I'm putting money in your pocket. I made you a millionaire. The animosity the jealousy the grievance culture in america right now all of that has been mushed together to put in a really awful crock pot. I would like to think that this is not a thing. This is not something that's going to continue and get worse. Because i'd hate to see the day where they've had to create such a wall of security like european soccer. Yeah exactly i'd hate. I'd hate to see that happen in american sports but it might be necessary if these things continue. It might be something that these leagues have to look at that being said. There's a part of me that sorta selfishly pool so one day one of them were run up on the wrong one and find out and then hopefully that will send a message to the rest of them. That you are there sir. Or ma'am to watch the game. You are not there to be part it. I will say this. You're you're monica. Sell a thing like that's really sobering to think about because there was dude. I think it was the wizards game. Who came flying down right daily. Fly zakho no. He got tackled. Your got lake. Yeah the thing is like dude like you are walking on a court with like the some of the best like in shape strong people on earth like it's one like you do wonder like we're security. Start with a two like i. I agree with you like all that stuff. Like a guy like.

"Is not a knock against mag jones But when you look at alabama situation they get the best of the best so they're rosser is stockpiled with five star talents so you're practicing against five star players every day so you go out there in in a game situation and you're infinitely better than your opponent so you really haven't seen matt jones deal with conflict and you don't want the first time you deal with conflict to be at the pro level. We just saw this play out last year with to talk about lower. Great success at alabama goes to miami deals with conflict. Can't really replicate that success at at the myself. When i wanna say this if i were to ask you about these quarterbacks would you take them in the first row or take them in the top three. Would you take jimmy. Garoppolo matt hasselbeck in the top recur customs knowing how their career played. Would you take those guys in the top three. Probably not and i think that's where mag jones allies. He's my four three two quarterback But i don't have a first round agreed on him. He's someone that. If he is someone that i think would be an ideal fit in a place like washington or chicago some place. That has a lot of good players already established on both sides of the ball so he can kind of beat the bus driver but you draft someone to top five. You want someone that can be a difference maker now. Think that's his game. Bus driver is perfect. And that's what he was at alabama he just did it really really. Well dave isn't that san francisco. I know it's a top three. Pick out but i mean so. Listen i think. That's what i i can't say for. Sure with the forty niners want remember shanahan fawning over kirk cousins once upon a time and so he might look it mack and say. He's a lot like her cousins. I don't think he's got quite the same arm. Strength as kirk cousins. But i think he's smart. I think he can make your decisions with the football. He seems to be unfazed by the blitz. And he he just seems to be the type of quarterback that can kinda be be a good west coast offense quarterback. I don't think he's necessarily the type of guy a who can like. Elevate the whole team and lead them to the super bowl. I know he just won the national championship. But i i just feel like there's something different. We're sometimes quarterbacks make their players around them better. i think that's what happens in green bay with aaron rodgers because if you add kirk cousins throwing the davante adams i don't about to adams would be as good but i also see mack. Jones is someone who's not going to be great for fantasy especially if he goes to san francisco because that's a team that likes to run the football out and be if he's not gonna generate anything on the ground he's not gonna give you rushing yards that already puts a cap on his fantasy production and if he's not in a situation where he throwing for over three hundred yards and three touchdowns every week. That's another cat..

"They mentioned this in in that. Commentary thing that these guys pull out stuff out of the inside of their outfits like all the time. What's your basically just pajamas. Yay and he's got like a plainer in his. They plane his face. That really made kind of made my balls. Kinda tighten up like that would hurt so bad. If your face was planed. I love the dummy falling down on the The piece of wood with the fucking. Oh nail sticking out of it which made me think of another Prison movie that i watched just recently. Which was what Brawl and cellblock ninety nine was in vince. Vaughn good flick. But they did the same type of thing. But i think you could tell when it went to like a dummy when it went a prosthetic and i think they particularly showed that so they could play down the violence. Maybe or it was your saying that it wasn't amateur filmmaking it. They did that on purpose to make it seem more the the more comical. It appears then. Then it's it's like oh this is just so ridiculous. It can't be real yeah. Don't take the seriously but you're right. That planer that he had just inside his his pajamas in his pajama bottoms. Maybe i don't. There was huge. That i don't know if you sat down wrong. It would really have. Men may have that end the train the train the trains like the size of like a loaf of bread and he had in his pajamas. Although as thinking the salt time. Those close look really comfortable. Yeah so that might be what. I'm moving to. Just kind of all pajamas all the time. So where did that piece of wood with the nails where to come from a part of the train. No if it was it was way too big. It was hastily put together train. Yeah why did they have like a dozen nails aboard. Excessive amount of males. I think the length of ricky's hair changes does film. Yeah i think that's the last time that you see it. That long it's considerably shorter. I dig it though. It's yeah he does have good here. I mean again. They make him look exactly like he does in the in the manga. And how funny is it that all the guys there in the bathroom all this is going on there like i think even one of them says well what can you do and they all just turn around late start pissing wait for the janitor to clean all that up now to go back to practicing for synchronized pissing event at the olympics clinton. Let's go tend to our gardens so the old man that they play in his face. I had to watch this a couple of times because that's the first row kind of like plot thing that you have to figure out. But he hangs himself because those guards told him that. I think he thought that he was going to get out soon. Right and then they said no. You're that that violated something. So now you're really screwed and He hangs himself like the gangs. Also control you know a lot of who gets better treatment. Parole and stuff sooner. The reason why he was in prison was because he was taking his wife to the hospital because she was going into labor. Oh and is somebody who just happened to be a cop. And that's why he got a harsher sentence that otherwise it would have been played off as an accident right. Yeah but the going thing in this prison is that you know people will come in for even some serious offenses or whatever they just get more and more time added the as this or that and that goes into the corruption of the privatize prison system. Let's get political around but you are right..

Hit and i think harris is absolutely right here that the shots not there with the internet. You have to play out. Term because of sean gets pissed often whenever This is actually a good example year affect the way the williams going to transfer off the stone on the insiders oppose the out. I agree that my. It's just not there with the intern. Lost stuffs it and then basically she stuffs it. The stone doesn't roll out and jones ends up stealing the end to the bounces off the got all right so now nova scotia's up six five right. The does that third rock leave the house with today's rocks with striking bands with the narrower striking bands that allow for more of the the ping pong ball effect that we see today. Yes in two thousand twenty. The shot stone is in the first row Like it's i think it's striking bands plus frost right you don't you don't have that kind of crazy frost in in twenty twenty championship ice But i think that the flip side is. I think there's a chance that everything then spills like you basically bop and your stone also flies off like it's not the angles weren't great in that sense. I think julie's skinner's convinced it's there and it's probably their out-turn but the trick then is can you stick your shooter and spill all the stones you want while while losing all the ones you don't. So here's the question. What what do you prefer. You prefer today striking bands where you can see the amazing cross house doubles or the shots like done stone through at at the brier last year. Do you prefer that or do you prefer the wider striking bands where you don't get as much action in the house but you do see. Steel words deals like this. I think there should be a balance between the two..

It was very much That was a likable Penn State team as well. Wow, that means from you coming from you. That is why they must have really been likable. I like trace. McSorley, I was say, quit on that when I was a breakout. That was the big year for stay quiet. Miles Sanders was the backup. Yes. No. No, not that You said this wasn't there? No, no, but I will say this as much as I dislike Penn State. And I have nothing against se Quem Barkley. I'm a fan of sake. Warm Barkley. Oh, I would hope that he could stay healthier than for the rest of his career because the last two years have have been disappointing to start to career for sacred Barclay. For some reason, I always even though I wasn't rooting for Penn State This will sound weird with that. But I'm about to say I could root for trace McSorley and also say, Quan, I just like the competitive edge that one trace McSorley had. And should have been criminal the way that James Franklin and Who is it, Ricky Ronnie. In the Ohio State game. Yes, Ricky Ronnie was the offensive coordinator that on fourth and five, said Let's run the ball and Chase Young said. Okay, thank you. Now who was who was the running back there? That was, while Sanders that was mild stance. They never chance. Yeah, You don't take the ball to trace McSorley's hands, then no in that spot That was bad. And that James Franklin, this is my favorite James Franklin moment. That whole wheat press conference. We're now we're you know, we're great. But if we want to be elite, we gotta have her kids show up to class in the first row and sit in the first row. We'll have got like 45 guys that are sitting in the second or third row. Give me a break. And state though we're gonna be joined by one of their former offensive linemen coming up at 8 P.m. Eastern five, Pacific Out of in Smith and, you know Donovan Smith was one of the Penn State players that has appeared in every Super Bowl. All the Super Bowl's Penn State has had a player appear in every Super Bowl. Right? Did I miss something? He's one of the 55 right? That was the graphic that pace they put out their roles. And await. Someone just texted me. There's no fine print. Look at the fine print except the five suit except five Super Bowls. What a lame graphic that was Really was. So we'll be joined by Donovan Smith from the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8 P.m. Eastern and then coming up in about 25 minutes from now Greg Bell will join us he covers the Seahawks will get a whole Low down on this entire Seattle Seahawks situation with Russell Wilson there ago. You situation another time. But if some people think I'm getting paid to use the word situation today, I want to know how the NFL family perceive it because the MBA now we expect big moves, and people asked all this all this potential movement, Ramsey Adams. Matthew Stafford is a good for the NFL. I think so. Because You know, years ago, the NFL off season would be pedestrian. Now. I don't love when a player just signs a contract like Paul George and Shawn Watson. They went out, but I get it from what Paul George was doing, and also what the Shawn Watson was doing. Watson, situational but different than Paul George. But I don't mind where you go into an off season and you have all the speculation, you know, have a damn clue what's gonna happen. Because Shawn Watson should get traded. We'll see if he will, and Russell Wilson. I don't think he's going to be traded. But I kind of am sitting on pins and needles here and you start to wonder with all this.

"Those kinds of walls is You want to bury some of the wall blocks ago they buried and you know you might feel like you're wasting block, but it's very important to get that wall buried into the ground. Somewhere between I don't want to put high wall you might need to bury between six inches to a foot of wall blocks. Now below the wall blocks. You're going to dig a little deeper and you're gonna put down some gravel. And that gravel. It's not a footing. We actually call it a leveling pad. It's just a little pad of stone so you can get that very first row of block. Perfectly level. And also two blocks that are next to each other. They need to be at the same elevation. So when you set a block on top of those two, it doesn't rock or wiggle back and forth. No, no, they're specific kind of gravel We use Yeah, Usually it's in most cities and towns and states. It's basically it's called road base, so they're different Name. Some people call it Um D g a integrated aggregate. Some people call it a BT aggregate base course. If you talk to a stone supplier, then they're gonna live in no what road bases in their town. Okay. And so it's basically you wanna use some sort of gravel. That has about three quarter inch size stones and smaller so that you can get just a night leveling base in there. What you wouldn't want to do is just put Straight sands, for example, right? After you get that gravel down. Do you put sand in or just leave the gravel Be You just leave the gravel be, you might vibrate it or But you could use a camp and just pack it down a little bit, or even a mechanical plate. If you want to go that far on then you would. You know you're physically going to need a level. And you want to get that first roadblocks in there? Just perfectly level absolutely made. It made it nice to write because those blocks when you put him on when you start stacking them. They kind of Have little extensions they call must fit together. But still gonna be love right? Right? Correct. So you want to get that first base level? That's where a lot of time is going to be devoted toward getting the base course. And that first roller blocks put in very meticulously, and just perfect because that makes the rest of the wall. Go up that much faster because all you're doing now is just stacking one block on top of it on top of the next row. Sure, sure. Joe Kowalski. He's my guest. Let's take a little break. Joe come back and kind of finish our project of putting up a segmental block wall and also open up the phone lines. If anybody has a question Regarding maybe a wall. That's not doing so well at your home. Or if you're thinking about building a wall. It's 808 to 38255.

I think that would have been the best thing. i think. The president himself in the exactly shot asylum. Well but he's not one to do that. That's that's one of the problems. I have with him but but anyway Then then levin goes on to say despite their protestations that the president urged them on the defendants are also likely to fail in court because an invitation to commit a crime is not an excuse to do it.
