Jan. 6 rioters are raking in thousands in donations. Now the US is coming after their haul
"Some January 6th rioters are raking in thousands of dollars in donations, now the Justice Department is coming after that money. For those who stormed the capitol on January 6th, 2021, it's not just a prison sentence they face, hefty fines are also going along with it. That's because prosecutors appear to be ramping up efforts to prevent them from profiting from their participation. The Justice Department, in some cases, questioning whether the money they have been raising goes to their legal defense when they're getting government funded lawyers. Daniel Goodwin, who participated in the January 6th riots and was convicted, promoted a website to raise money, the feds now want him to give up more than $25,000. I'm Julie Walker.

Can Bitcoin Avoid the Partisan Curse?
"Today on Long Reads Sunday slash Saturday, where I want to start is with some further analysis around Ron DeSantis's announcement that he was a running for president and B in so doing was hoping to protect Bitcoin. Because this isn't a political show, I didn't get into the politics of DeSantis in America, although they are, of course, very complex. Plenty of people have pointed out that his focus on the freedom that Bitcoin creates is perhaps inconsistent with some of his other positions. But holding aside specific policies, there's also questions of what his embrace of Bitcoin suggests about how it fits into the larger partisan framework. CoinDesk's Daniel Kuhn wrote a piece this week called DeSantis and the Growing Culture War Around Bitcoin. Daniel writes, This week, CoinDesk published one of the most thought provoking and balanced articles on Bitcoin mining I've ever read. The report is focused around the Greenwich Bitcoin Mining Company in upstate New York, which was at the center of a protracted media cycle last year after environmental activists claimed the facility was boiling the waterways and poisoning delicate ecosystems. Those claims went on to influence an actual policy decision by Governor Kathy Hochul restricting Bitcoin mining in the state. The thing is, most of the worst claims about Greenwich were straight up wrong. CoinDesk's Nick D, Doreen Wang, and Cheyenne Ligon took a trip to Dresden in upstate New York to take the temperature of the lake and speak to locals, finding that not a single lawmaker visited the Rust Belt town or spoke to its mayor before drafting what is essentially a freeze on new Bitcoin miners. Most of the Bitcoin mining debate today has centered around the Bitcoin network's environmental impact. Greenwich became a lightning rod because before the company moved equipment into the plant that now uses natural gas, it was deactivated, meaning that when the miners were turned on, they weren't just drawing on electricity that would have been produced anyway, but actively releasing quote unquote fresh carbon into the atmosphere. The Bitcoin network uses as much energy as a country like Norway, and trying to wrap your head around whether that is or isn't worth it often comes down to your point of view on how you value permissionless money. Individuals can certainly make up their minds on the matter, but how a state should treat Bitcoin, for instance, whether mining should be encouraged or banned, is a societal level conversation involving politicians, stakeholders, and those affected.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal: Tax Cuts Are a Form of Spending
"There's a poll out there suggesting that a good swath of Americans a majority they need the Democrats to make some cuts here and our many kind of knows we're going bankrupt I mean she didn't say but you'll get what I'm talking about And I want you to listen to how this absurd human being Characterizes the poll to suggest somehow that tax cuts are spending wait wait why 'cause we're gonna try this logic thing on the other side I need you to play with me I need you to play this game with me here because the liberals won't get it But we're just gonna try okay All right listen to this cut And what that's the other thing we've been saying to the Republicans This is the exact question that was asked of voters What should Congress do on the debt ceiling Raise only if spending cut 60% raise no matter what 24% not raise let U.S. default 15% These are what they are saying to this critical Let's go ahead No I understand But poppy you can't take tax cuts out of spending You know tax cuts for the wealthiest are spending Don't think that that is in spending when under Donald Trump They added almost $2 trillion to the deficit because they gave tax cuts to the wealthiest That is spending And I think the American people understand that that's what needs to change is we need to roll back those tax cuts and we need to actually make sure that we are reducing the deficit by making the wealthiest pay their fair share Very by cutting working people's benefits Folks why do we have to live with these people Why do we have to live with such stupid people Listen I can't stop them though and I want to because I actually believe in God given rights from announcing to the entire world on CNN how dumb they are But can you just move away Can we just really just fortify red states now because I swear the idiocy is contagious

Michael Loadenthal: Asking for Money to Censor Conservatives

The Basics of Key Management
"We haven't done a Basics episode in a while. I've had a couple of people ask me some questions that made me realize something that I was a little... that we haven't come back to with the Basics is just kind of the really simple, really practical, what the hell do I do with my keys? So we went into an entire episode on what our keys are and hardware, wallets, and all of that good stuff. And I will tell you straight off the bat, you need a hardware wallet if you have any meaningful savings. If you're just tinkering, that's fine. Don't give yourself a homework assignment and, you know, have to invest all this money and stuff into it if you're just playing around. But it's very easy to get sucked in and it's very easy for playing around to become a meaningful amount of money in Bitcoin. In fact, a good example actually was I was playing around with the Bitkit wallet, which is one that I'm a big fan of and I'm really looking forward to its future. And Synonym and John Carvalho and their team over there have built a really amazing and really intuitive product. But I was just testing a bunch of stuff out. So when I moved some Bitcoin to it, it was always intended to just be kind of a throwaway wallet. And I actually at some point took a screenshot of my backup seed and put it in the Discord chat with everyone in Synonym because we were we were trying to work something out. I can't remember what it was, some weird little quirk with the interface or whether it was showing addresses or something like that. I don't remember. It wasn't that big of a deal. But because I was thinking of the wallet so cheaply as just like throwaway, I did that. But what's funny is I, you know, was testing all out. So I added a bunch of contacts and, you know, I started making messages with people and, you know, all these things. And I started trying out a bunch of different widgets. And it got to the point where I'd kind of forgotten that I had done that. And then I just moved a little bit of Bitcoin to move a little bit more Bitcoin to it and eventually ended up with like eight hundred dollars worth of Bitcoin on it. And my seed is sitting in a screenshot in a Discord room that I don't know if 30 people or I have no idea how many people are in that Discord chat could see and just and so many multiple people may have just out of trying to help me put it in their wallets. So I was just totally exposed. I was just like putting cash in other people's pockets. Nobody stole it from me or anything. And I just woke up one morning and it hit me and I was like, oh my God, I'm an idiot. And I withdrew it back to my nunchuck. But just a easy little story to explain that you need to be careful with your keys and you need to have basic practice on how you're going to back things up. You need to know how you're going to be treating your wallet going

Why Everyone Is Talking About EigenLayer
"Sriram, it's great to have you. For those of you who don't know, Sriram is a longtime professor at UW, at the University of Washington. And he's also a crypto founder, founder of one of the hottest new projects called Eigenlayer. Full disclosure, I think Robot Ventures, you guys are investors in Eigenlayer, Dragonfly is not, but Eigenlayer right now is kind of the talk of the town. Everybody is talking about Eigenlayer to the point where you even got shouted out by Vitalik yesterday. So first question, moving from academia into being now like a full -on crypto founder, center of attention, in the center of the maelstrom, how has that been for you transitioning from the academic world to the crypto world? It's been out of craziness. I think nothing I could have done would have prepared me for this. It is, I think, one thing to be a startup founder, where you're basically off in your quiet startup trying to go build your thing. It's a completely different thing to be a founder of a crypto project, which is much more community -driven. Start to interact with a lot more people much early on. In fact, so much so that that is critical or essential to the success of the project even before you build anything. So I learned these lessons through doing a project where it was only technology -focused four years back when Haseeb knows the story with a couple of other professors. And when the feeling was exactly the opposite, it was pretty much similar to my professor life where we were just inventing new protocols, algorithms, and making them work. And I think this is a very different experience.

Pills flowed for years as DEA dragged feet on disciplining opioid distributor

Making Sense of Texas Bitcoin Bills With Lee Bratcher
"Let's start off with the proof of reserve thing since that was today. You had a great video that just came out on Twitter. Texas, this House bill 1666, for those who are listening, essentially sets up a standard for how proof of reserve should work for exchanges in Texas. That's right. Yeah, it is a bill that would require exchanges to provide these attestations to the Texas Department of Banking in order to maintain their money transmission license. It's not a perfect solution. Anybody that's deep in the weeds on proof of reserves and liabilities will tell you that it is a tool in the tool belt of regulators and for added transparency. But we still need other frameworks to prevent widespread fraud. But this is sort of an industry -derived best practice to get that kind of transparency that we need to prevent those kinds of collapses like we saw nine months ago. I'm going to spit some questions at you that are completely ignorant and uneducated, but you have to deal with that because you're here. Tell me a little bit about why it matters for just a state to do this because these exchanges are international. We can't even get them to abide by U .S. law, so how can we expect them to abide by Texas law? Is this only for Texas -based companies, like an unchained capital, or is this going to be for even a Binance that has to integrate into this if they want to operate in Texas? That is a great question. So it does apply to all exchanges that do business in Texas. So what we think, Texas is such a large market, we think will happen is these exchanges are going to have to comply because they can't leave the Texas market, right? It's a huge digital asset market. They all want to be here. They all want money transmission licenses. So if they are, if that is true, then they're complying for the state of Texas and therefore their compliance costs for the other states goes to negligible. So if they're already spending the money to comply for Texas, then why would they not comply for the other 49

"first question" Discussed on Bloomberg Radio New York
"Talk in the media about the executive salaries about the executive bonuses about the sale of stock. Let me ask the three of you, my first question is, what authority do you have to claw back? Any of those bonuses or the executive pay or even deal with the sell of the stock and maybe mister Greenberg, let's start with you and then put down. Thank you, senator. You know, as I indicated in my opening statement, the FDIC for every failed institution is required to undertake an investigation of the conduct of the members of the board, the management of the institution as well as professional service providers and other institution affiliated parties. We've already begun that investigation, and we have significant authority under the law, depending on the findings of the investigation to impose civil money penalties, restitution, and as well, bar individuals from the business of banking. So the authorities are substantial and we're going to pursue this as expeditiously as we can. I know there's interest. We do not have under the federal deposit insurance act explicit authority for clawback of compensation. We can get to some of that with our other authorities. We have that specific authority under title two of the Dodd Frank act, if you are looking for an additional authority, specific authority under the FDI act for clawbacks probably would have some value here. Thank you, mister Barr. Thank you. The board does have authority to pursue actions against individuals who engage in violations of the law who engage in unsafe or unsound practices who have engaged in breaches of fiduciary duty. We retain this authority even after a bank fails. And we stand ready to use this authority to the fullest extent based on the facts and circumstances. And as with chair gruenberg potential consequences include a prohibition from banking, civil money penalties or the payment of restitution, we intend to use these authorities to the fullest extent we are able. Thank you. Miss Lang. And I know the chairman's indulgence. Yeah, briefly, miss Lee. Yes, I defer to the FDIC and Federal Reserve on this. Thank you. Thank you, mister chairman. That was brief. Thank you, mister Smith. I'm undersecretary. It's under rounds in South Dakota's recognized. Republican senator Mike rounds, first of all, thank you to all of you for appearing before our committee today. Vice chair bar in your testimony, you said that in November, the fed supervisors delivered a supervisory finding on interest rate risk management to Silicon Valley bank. As you know, the communication of supervisory findings must be focused on significant matters that require attention. Matters requiring immediate attention or MRIs are matters of significant importance that the fed believes need to be resolved right away, including matters that have the potential to post significant risk to the safety and soundness of the banking organization. My question, vice chair bar, was managing interest rate risk listed in the MRI a section of the supervisory finding issued to SVB and if it was not, why not? Senator, we're still reconstructing the supervisory record. We just started the review. But my understanding is that they were issued a matter requiring immediate attention based on the inaccuracy of their interest rate risk modeling. Essentially, the risk model was not at all aligned with reality. Pretty interesting statement if it was not aligned with reality. I recognize that you're going to have a complete report. And I'm not going to try to push you too far into this, but I'm really curious. What's the time frame that's expected for a response for an MRI a one that requires immediate attention? A senator, there's not a fixed amount of time. It depends on the issue, the scope of the issue, the complexity of resolving the issue. So I don't have a way of giving you a firm baseline on the action. But they're expected to be a top priority for management to address. And particularly in the interest rate environment that we're in and knowing that the firm had been cited previously for other problems with liquidity risk management and interest rate risk management, supervisors would expect that that would take a high priority attention by top management. The supervisors met with the CFO of the firm in the fall in October of 2021 to convey the seriousness of the findings directly. During this time period, perhaps for as much as 6 months during that previous year, bank was without a risk management officer. Is that correct? That's my understanding. I think it's terrible risk management. Obviously, not to have a CRO at the firm. You need an effective CRO as part of risk management of the firm and as I indicated previously, the supervisors had told the firm in the summer that they had deficiencies in governance and controls at the management level and the board level. And that was related to their failure to appropriately manage risk. My understanding is that there was a period of time there in which they were without a CFO as well. Is that correct? I don't have the details of that, but I'm happy to get back to you. Okay. And I recognize that there is a difference between a matter requiring a meeting attention and a matter requiring attention. Can you kind of share with us the difference? I mean, there clearly is a defined difference between a matter of such importance that it requires immediate attention versus one where it requires attention. Can you talk a little bit about what the expectations are between the two? They're both really signal that bank management should pay attention to what's in front of them. They're not they're not issued lightly. A matter require immediate attention is as its name suggested, telling managers that they should place a priority on fixing this issue over other issues. But the exercise of the line between the two is a matter of supervisory judgment. Just to follow up a little bit and recognizing once again that we'll get a full report in the next couple of weeks, but it seems to me that when it turns into an MRI a, there is an expectation that the board or the executive officers would respond fairly quickly. To your knowledge at this point, was that expectation met? Well, I think the fundamental fact is the firm failed because of its interest rate risk and its liquidity risk. And that is, I think, evidence of the fact that they didn't respond strongly enough and promptly enough. In other words, with the information that you

"A prayer for the one questioning their calling by Alicia Cyril. Read by Rochelle alberti. As a prisoner for the lord then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received, be completely humble and gentle. Be patient, bearing with one another in love, ephesians four, one through two. The other day I had lunch with two of my closest friends. We strive to get together at least once a month to check in, catch up and pray for each other. It is a sweet time I look forward to and blesses me beyond words. Due to the holidays, busy schedules, and just life in general. Our monthly lunch dates got put on hold for a while. So when we finally managed to meet up, I was overjoyed to see them. During our conversation, we discussed our calling in God's will. Then after a sip of her tea, one of my friends looked me gently in the eye and asked how did she know writing was your calling? Froze. I didn't know what to say. Because in that brief moment, I didn't really know much less know how to answer her. Immediately, I felt disqualified. My thoughts went all over the place, including down a dangerous rabbit hole of believing maybe I didn't hear God correctly. Maybe I misunderstood my calling. After a few awkward moments of silence, I answered her this way. I am not really sure if I am necessarily called to write. But I can assure you of this. When I pull up to my computer and place my fingers upon that keyboard, I am met with his words, not mine. He is with me. I feel him and it is such a precious time to me. I also added that when I'm not writing, I miss it. I miss that special bonding time with the lord. Then I began to realize that writing isn't about me at all. Because in all honesty, I am not qualified. I don't have words. I'm a mess in my words while short. But God somehow meets me. He always shows up. Every single time. He leads and guides my words. He softens my heart. He shows me who he is. Ephesians four describes that as believers we are all called to live intentionally and on purpose. When we meet with God in his work through prayer, even as we seek counsel through fellow Christian friends, our calling becomes clear. The truth about our calling is that God will always prepare the way and plant desires in our heart to glorify him. All we have to do is submit. We are also urged to live a life worthy of the calling we have received. The arc to question, step away in fear, wait until the right time, or when we feel qualified. All we are meant to do is lean in and trust. As God speaking to your heart, do you feel a gentle or maybe very clear, nudge to do that thing. Your mind may be telling you that you can't. But every fiber of your being is telling you to just go for it. Then get wrapped up and be a servant to the lord. He is waiting for you to say yes. Let's pray. O lord, my answer is yes. I love you and want to be obedient, so use me for your will. I am truly humbled that you would even consider me worthy. In all things big or small, help me hear your voice in respond with a sincere heart. Revealed to me who you need me to serve, love, and reach. Itch in my heart that with you, all things are possible, Matthew 1926. Grant wisdom and discernment to recognize the difference between your calling in my life and the plans I seek for my own will. Surround me with fellow Christians of a build me up and remind me to keep pursuing you and encourage me in moments when I slip into doubt or fear and question the calling you have for me. Also grant me the wisdom and courage to provide my fellow friends with the support they need to serve you as well. When I don't feel cut out for the calling you so graciously placed in my life. Please remind me that you designed me for a special purpose. When I failed to trust you

"My podcast on the science of what makes us tick. I'm an organizational psychologist, and I'm taking you inside the minds of fascinating people to explore how they think and what we should all rethink. This season we're rethinking culture with producer, director, screenwriter, comedian, Adam McKay. Even if it's silly, like your stuff's gonna play better if you aim for art. And you miss you're gonna end up with comedy, but if you aim for comedy and you miss. You get junk. Find and follow rethinking with Adam grant, wherever you're listening. Most of what we know about performing leadership is made of up of these practiced postures. Passed down in the west through a white male embodiment of power. These have become so intertwined with actually having power that imitating these behaviors kind of feels like the only way to show up with authority. We can obviously do better than that. I work in organizational and leadership development and I'm an artist. I believe artists are leaders in expressing things that humankind often doesn't know how to say yet. So that's why I invited a bunch of artists to do a leadership makeover. They wrote public addresses, they made leadership portraits. I call them the artists in presidents. Since 2020, over 70 artists and presidents have contributed to the digital archive, their North American, indigenous, international, and stateless, their artists with disabilities, their queer, they made beautiful attempts that embodying inclusive performances of leadership and power. Some song, others look to repair the past, one person used artificial intelligence to write her speech, and one person just straight up wrote a curse. And so many more. But what really surprised me was that a lot of us struggled to say something new to articulate what we want with authority. Blame it on a millennia of humans colonizing humans, but it seems like we don't believe we can have the things we want. The things that we need to live and work with dignity. So I think as leaders, interested in investing in an equitable society, modeling agency is one of the most important things that we can do for our communities and organizations. But it's hard. How do you move towards believing in your own agency? The way that I learned to do this came in a really unusual place. When I was in my early 20s, I met captain Betsy. I was queer, depressed, feeling totally alone in my tiny South Texas town on the gulf of Mexico. And by the time Betsy landed in my town, she had been living on homemade rafts for decades with a group called the floating neutrinos. She had captained over a dozen rafts, including one across the Atlantic Ocean. The floating neutrinos believed that the most important thing a person needs to know how to do is articulate their own desires to break out of being solely in reaction to the systems that containers, like the economic system and the education system. So that we can allow our deepest desires to be the thing that bring direction and urgency to our lives. The rafts were a tool that the neutrinos used to bring themselves closer to their desires. So obviously, I was very taken by this, not because I wanted to permanently live on a raft, but because I wanted to believe in an extraordinary life, and Betsy was the first person to ever ask me what it is that I wanted. And she did this using a practice called the three deepest desires. She'd say, pretend you're going to die. You're going to die. You're all going to die. Pretend that you're going to die tomorrow. What is one thing that you need to do before you die? And then I would have full on drama meltdowns around answering this question because it was impossible for me to believe that I had any authority over my own life that I could want things outside of what my parents and our culture had told us to want. So Betsy finally said, look, all you have to do is answer this question for today. You could say, I want to eat the biggest hamburger in the world. Okay, great. Whatever, write it down. Because you're going to answer this question again tomorrow, and it's how you answer this question over time that matters. And so then I said something super weird, like, I want to see a waterfall because there's no waterfalls in South Texas. And I got much better at it. Saying what we want out loud is something that we have to practice. But the crux of this learning is the believing part. Believing faith, it's not something that we learn in isolation. It's something that we learn through imitation, like leadership, and language. So in my life, Betsy modeled for me what it meant to articulate my desires and in lending her faith to me, she was also giving it back to herself. But she did another thing. And this is something that leaders often forget to do. She listened, she sat with me in the pain and discomfort of my process and it's from that place. My current reality that she guided me towards a vision of possibility and agency in this world. We can choose to model our leadership styles in similar ways. It's a commitment to relationality. It's a process that never ends, but it pays off because it grows empowered and engaged and inspired groups of people focused on a shared vision. So if what we want is to connect people's priorities with our visions for the greater good, we have to commit to mediating between the truth that is in the room and the aspirational future. You're all going to die. You could die tomorrow. What's one thing that you want to do before you die? What kind of leader do you want to be? Thank you. PRX.

"Yes, a positive boost you need every single day, but more than that. It's a very practical, very tactical look at life, getting in the way. We have our dreams, we have our ambitions we have the things that we set out to do, we get busy, and then boom, something happens, and what do we do? Well, we got to deal with it every single day. You know, it could be a hot day, it could be a rainy day, it could be a grumpy day, it could be somebody else's grumpy day, and they crush your path. Who knows what it is. But nonetheless, that doesn't mean you shouldn't stop going for and getting what you want. So the show is all about that. Stand up, take a step. Repeat that's what we do. Happy to have you here. My name is Scott Smith, founder. Chief motivating officer here at motivation and move dot com, and I do apologize for my screechy voice. It continues. This head cold I've had is just kind of dogging me here. It's probably not as bad as I think it is, but it's driving me crazy too. So I'll do the best I can to smooth it out for you. As we get through today's show, so our sponsor today is the Jordan harbinger show I've been chatting about the Jordan harbinger show for a few months now and about twice a week. On my Facebook page, somebody says, hey Scott, I finally listened to it. I love it. It's a great show. So I want you to check it out because it is one of the most popular podcasts in the world. I just checked today. It was like number 20 in the world at a 4 million podcast. There's a reason for that. He decodes the stories, the secrets of skills of the world's most fascinating people with in depth conversations. They are at the top of the game and he pulls out all the good stuff. The impressive thing is about how impressive his guests are and Jordan's prep and his style. He really did great interviewer. It just digs right in. So I promise you are going to be rewarded if you check it out. I just listened to one, The Karate Kid, or Cobra Kai, or Netflix. Have you seen that? Did a great interview with the evil sensei, John kreese, otherwise known as Martin move, great show. So a question. That you can ask when you're stuck. Now this question, let me take you back in time here. I was really stuck one time. And I'm going to take you back about 15, 15 and a half years now. And I was in a Home Depot parking lot. Florida, of all places. I don't even know why I was there. I didn't live there, but I was there for some reason. I'm not sure why. And I was shopping around for oxygen. Yeah. I was shopping for oxygen. I was trying to find it. I don't know why it was Home Depot, but I was shopping for oxygen. My wife was sick. And she was about ready to go into hospice. And I didn't want to call hospice. I didn't know what to do. I was looking for oxygen. I could walk in and get somebody to give me some. And I could take it home and make her feel better. And I came out of Home Depot. Again, not knowing why it was there looking for oxygen. But standing in that parking lot, I can vividly see the parking lot. I could vividly see the heat rising off the parking lot pavement. I can see the shopping carts right next to me. And I said, I don't know what to do. I'm 7 to luck. I was on a mission to go find this, and I just couldn't figure it out. Finally, I got my head straightened out, which I usually do eventually. And I said, okay. What can I do? And it's a simple question. It's my favorite question. What can I do? I didn't know I was unsure I was clouded by, I didn't want to call hospitals. I did not. That was not an option for me. But in a millisecond, when I said what can I do, I said I got to make the call. So I got car and drove home. And when I got there, I made the call. It was a hard call to make if you've ever had to make it before because you know that's kind of the beginning of the end. And within about an hour, they were there with the oxygen. Done. So getting what you want in life, sometimes includes random and vague goal setting or you're just trying to get a mission done and you don't know what you're tripling, stumbling all over things all over the place. You're not making progress. And what we need to do is be targeted and specific in what we're doing. If I had had my head about my, myself, and I think I had good reason not to. I probably would have been very specifically thinking, get them on the phone. This is where this is going anyway. Get them on the phone, let's go. But I wasn't thinking that way. I was at the same my wife. Hang on, honey, I'll be back with some oxygen. Some doctor give it to me. But you go through the same thing, don't you? You have things in your mind where you're trying to figure it out. Usually, real close to me for a second, okay? Usually when I work with somebody, and I can't get them to face their passion. I can't get them to get the courage to go do what they say they want to do. It's almost always because they don't know exactly what that is. And if it's not that, it's because they don't want to give up what they already have. It's one of those two things, always. So if you're running around trying to figure something out, you have a hiccup at your job or something's having at home or you're just not feeling right, who knows what it is. And you're lost, and you can't get specific. I know you'd like to Scott. I'm supposed to be clear and specific. I bet you can't do it. I say give up. I say toss it up to a higher power. I say, take the blocks away, and just let it flow into you because you know the answer, you know what you have to do and you certainly know the next step. It's just one little step to get there. You can do anything if you know the next step to take. So you ask yourself what can I do? I will tell you in the years I've asked this very simple question when you are stuck is when you use it. But you don't know what goal is set. When you don't know how to get a raise, when you don't know how to get somebody to say they love you. When you don't know how to do any of that stuff, sometimes you got to give it up. Give it up with a higher source, whatever that is for you. And you say, I don't know. And just say what can I do? And then wait for the answer. It might not be what you expect. And it might be the obvious that you've been ignoring. Again, working with a lot of people over the years and having my own mind to work with me, I can tell you that oftentimes when I don't know what to do, I really do, it. So when I say what can I do? And I open the floodgate. It's like captain obvious. Well, you know what to do, right? It may not be the answer you want to hear. It just may not. And again, it may, if you're stopped in your tracks, be exactly what you need to hear. So what's next? I'm not saying you're going to get the solution to everything. I am saying, however, you can use this question almost any time you want to with almost anything that happens. If you'll take a minute and just pause and if you're completely lost, you'll say, all right. Well, can I do? And then listen, the very first thing that comes to mind is probably what you have to do. And then you do what we always do. We stand up, we take a step, and we repeat until we find our way to what we were going to be doing. When we started. So I know it's real simple, and a lot of people are going to say, hey, Scott, I'm not going to do this. But I promise you, over the years, I've had so many tens of thousands of emails that have come in. And every so often, I'll talk about this, what can I do? And these emails will come in and say, you know what? I was stuck. And I remembered assets simple little question and suddenly I had an idea of what to do. You got me moving again. That's what this is all about. So take this itty bitty little tactic called what can I do, tuck it away, put it on a piece of paper if you need to, but remember to do it. When you're stuck, when you're feeling unmotivated, uninspired and you need to move anyway. What can I do? And even if you don't like the answer, go ahead and do it. Life is made up of what can I do moments, I think you might have figured that out by now. Usually we figured out pretty quickly. We just work it out, right? But sometimes, you're just stuck emotionally, we do not know what to do. And I have learned over time that when those moments happen, I'm not in charge. I can't figure it out. Way above my pay grade, I just open up and say, big guy, big girl, big thing, whatever you want to call it. Give me an idea here. I'm Clinton. Tens of thousands of times I've used that question. You should too. All right, do me a favor, okay? I know it's summertime and the living is slow and easy and hot and easy. I know you're busy. I know you are your traveling, but I'm over on the Facebook group. Go to daily boost podcast

"And I actually experienced this in person multiple times at the masterminds we were able to do at the difference events that we've been at together. Yuri very intentional person. You're willing to hold a mirror up to other people. Not just yourself. You do it for yourself. Of course, but for other people as well, which that kind of truth, that kind of realism, like everybody's kind of tiptoeing around each other most of the time. But it's so real. It's so helpful. It's helped me multiple times. And you're really like that in every facet of your life. With this book project that you've been working on, this is no different. So can you share the story of how your book, how are you really? How did that come into existence? Yeah, it's so crazy, John. So during the pandemic, we lived up in northern northern northern Minnesota. So a town of 1202 and a half hours away from a McDonald's or a target in this desolate town and it was my husband and my it was our ten year anniversary or wedding anniversary and I booked just these massages and I promise this is getting to the point. This is the best. And my book is these massages and I show up to this place called lutzen and I go in there and the woman who is doing my massage says, hi, I'm Thea. I'm an intuitive healer. And I had no idea what that meant, but I just laid down on the table, got my rub down, and afterwards she said, can I tell you what came out for you today? And I'm very open minded. So I'm like, sure, tell me what happened and she said, there's something in your life that you need to do, and you know what it is, but you're avoiding it. And the minute she said that, I knew it was a book. And it's crazy because I want your listeners to pay attention to this line, and I want for them to even just close their eyes and to think with me here. There is something in your life that you need to do, and you are not doing it, and you know what it is, and I need you to go do it. And it was funny because I went home for my massage that day in drew said, how was your misogyny? I said, I'm going to write a book. And he's like, I am so confused. How am masseuse or sorry? How a massage therapist told you that you need to write a book and what's really fascinating to me is as someone who is highly confident who's a big achiever, it was almost like I needed somebody to just remind me that there are things in our lives that we know we need to do that we're avoiding. And that night I opened up a Google Doc and I started typing. And it was really just this tiny dose of permission in this reminder of like, hey, there are other things in your life that you've wanted to do or wanted to try..

"Jenna say what's up to fire nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. Okay, so first off, I've been an audience member of fire nation. For years. So this is a dream come true. So let's not belittle that fact because people would totally agree that this is an incredible opportunity. So one thing that people often disagree with is that when I set goals, I don't always use the whole smart framework instead. I really set goals around how I want something to feel, which isn't always quantifiable, but it is real. And so when I think about what does success look like, I reframe it and say, what should success feel like when I achieve something? And that's kind of how I move through life and entrepreneurship these days. So fire nation, first off, you can just tell what a generous giving soul Jenna is by sharing that at the top of the show. Number two, you can already tell what kind of value bomb she'll be dropping. The rest of this episode..

"Secret weapon to progress procrastinating? Is there? Can you take this if I just give it to you? Is there really a secret super duper thing that some people have that you don't have that allows them not to procrastinate and you procrastinate? Is there really? Well, the answer is not really. It's just a mindset. And so we have to work through that. So I could talk for 5 hours and you will not get the secret because the bottom line is you just got to do it, right? So we all know that, but fundamentally, let's make it up and pretend they're secrets here. Okay, first off, if you don't think you should be doing it, just get it off your list and go away. Whatever you have on your relationship procrastinating, just look at it and say, do I have to do it? Should it even be there? And if not, just get rid of it. And watch how much better you sleep tonight. Now the other possibility. Man, I don't know. Is that it simply doesn't mean enough to you to start the process. It's simply doesn't mean enough to you to start the process. Or said another way, other things mean more to you. Now this kind of goes back to some mindset work. If we go deep into mind science now, with all the imaging we have, now we can see what's actually going on inside your mind. But truthfully, what ends up happening is what means the most gets done. Sway the wine works. Set another way if there is an option on alternative out there that means more for you to do than the thing you're procrastinating. You're not ever going to get to it. You're going to do the thing you want to do. So either you don't need to do it anyway, or there is simply something out there that means more to you so you need to focus your attention back on that. To find a way to make it mean a lot. And that's why when you do your taxes, it's like, well, that doesn't mean anything to me. I don't pay my taxes. And suddenly you start thinking about the IRS collecting on you. It means more to you not to get that email, not an email, but a letter. I've gotten them all over the years, trust me. I'll let her at a phone call kind of stuff. It has to mean a lot to you. So yes, you must complete some tasks. There's something you just have to do this. There's no doubt about that. That's called being an adult. What? I have to adult. Oh no. It's not that bad once you get used to it. It's called being a responsible person. What? The R word I've got to be responsible and do stuff. Actually, that's freedom you're looking for right there when you take responsibility for everything. But if your list keeps getting longer, it is really time to question yourself, is this important enough to me to get it done? It's that simple. Do I even need to do it that other question I wrote there without thinking about it? I don't think you're procrastinating. I think, well, you know, you can listen back to the show. There's a lot of stuff in here, a lot of insight here, but ultimately at the end of the day, there's no magic pill. I don't have a magic wand. I can't force you. Nobody can. The Daily Boost
"first question" Discussed on The Daily Boost
"On Monday, I always ask a very simple question. We'll keep it fast today, so we get on with this very cool show. I have so much to share with you today. Have you done your homework? When the show's done, sit back. Maybe kick your head back into car close your eyes for a minute. And just think, how's my life going? Good or bad? Love it or list it. Don't want you too much real estate shows. Do I want to make changes or do I want to keep what I have? It's really simple to do that. I just tell you this, all of us get busy. Before you know it, you haven't thought about your life for three years. Tell me I'm not right on that one. So if you do at least a little bit today, like two or three minutes when the show's over, just ask yourself that question, make a couple notes and watch if your subconscious mind begins to make corrections in your life for you. It's awesome. So I have a question today for you. And this comes from right around 15,000 hours of direct coaching clients just about everywhere. High performance individuals type a folks people getting stuff done for the most part. And a few others as well. But over time I've learned something. I've heard that these high performance individuals tend to do all their planning in November, and they do their goal setting. They do their projections in the next year, like 2022. They're kind of done. The reason I did it is because they want to be done in December. They want to get through the holidays, maybe Thanksgiving, and then relax a little bit. It's not too late to do this. If you haven't started, but they want to relax and that's the goal today. The goal today is to stick something in your brain right now. So you can begin to move towards your planning in 2022 and not show up on New Year's Eve going. What am I going to do? Yay. And then you have a bottle of champagne you forgot what you did. So what we're going to do is by asking this question by putting this inside your mind, it's going to have you ever preloaded your mind. You haven't heard that before? It's like I want to write a motorcycle. I preload the engine in the back tire so that I can keep the motorcycle standing. We'll talk about that on another podcast. You preload your mind, and your preload your mind is, you're trying to figure out something and you can't figure it out. I am legendary for this one. There's something that I just stumped. You can't figure it out. But now I know that I'm stumped, and I know it's going to take me two or three days to figure it out. So what I do is I preload my mind, I'm stumped at or whatever I'm trying to solve. And walk away. Now I just know probably three days later in the shower between the shampoo and conditioner. I'm going to come up with the answer. Have you done that? Tell me you have, right? Most people have. That's what this is all about today. So don't get too serious about this. We don't like to take herself too seriously around here. I like to keep it really simple and work with the way you're going to do this anyway. So here's that question. Ready for this? I'll give you some framing here real fast. Sometimes I get frustrated. I don't know what to do. Because all of us have new things that rib in their life every single day, and we don't know what to do. And it amazes me that we can go through life like that. That you can live decade after decade after decade and still something shows up, and you're like, okay. Never seen that before. What do I do now? I'm not talking cable news either. I'm talking real life. So when things show up that you don't know what to do, the question I always ask myself is, what can I do? Simple question. And I challenge you to use that today a couple of times. What can I do? When you get stumped, and you'll find really quickly, something will come in your head. Boom, just like that. It may be figured out, or you may have an answer right now. But this time of year, I go a little bit deeper and I take that one simple little question. And I start asking what can I do in a year? What can I do in a year if you want to, what will I do on a year? Maybe you can take it that what must I do in a year? But what can I do in a year? Because it takes us away from trying to go, okay, I'm going to make a $1 million next year or like everybody else. Everybody wants $10,000 a month. That's what they all want these days. It's crazy. It used to be a 100,000 a year. Then it became 10,000 a month. Where they come from? What can I do in a year? That most people always overestimate what they can get done in a couple of weeks, certainly a day. But they really do underestimate what can happen in a year or ten years. You can change everything. Really quickly. It's enormous, the difference. Focus on the short term picture, the leads to a ton of stress. I think you figured that out. Expanding your thinking to an entire year leaves more breathing room. Now if we layer this into it and we get lots of systems in place, in other words, we figure out what works, we build a foundation with that. So we just know what works every single day. The systems and rituals that work, taking care of yourself and paying the bills on time stuff like that. That's a million of them. But we get that stuff in play, and now we can begin to look into the next year and say, what can I do in 2022? Hey, I made a rhyme. I would focus on two areas, okay? As I'm doing this, I would say, okay, well, stop asking the year what do I do? Well, number one, what can I do in the remainder of 2021? What can I do? Think of it that way. And what must I do? What will I do? It may be nothing. It may be just relaxed, and that's okay. But the second focus is what will I accomplish what can I do in 2022? So what can I do in a year? What can I do in a year? And I urge you if this didn't sink into you right now, if you're letting it kind of blow by and just forgetting that. I urge you to pull it back in. What can I do in a year? What will I do in a year? But must I do? In 2022, I urge you to consider that, because right now, it's coming up fast in 2023 will be here before you know. Be like, what happened? The year flew past. Oh, my goodness. Once you visualize your big picture goal, it gets a lot easier to focus on the details of getting things done. All right, got a big week coming up. I know it's Thanksgiving week. We have a lot to do. I will be focused on this and sliding more and more into getting stuff happening in 2022 as we move forward. If you need anything at all, I am just an email away. Scott at motivation to move dot com is where you can get a hold of me. Usually, I'm pretty quick to get back to you. I do respond to every single email. "Host uninspired nation along with macaulay my wife my every time. Yes this takes. You did get it right me anyway. You got your name right if you didn't get your name right. Then we'd have an issue if you've ever wanted greater peace guidance and understanding the world. Then do we have the become a modern mystic. Show for you. Today we'll talk about what's a modernistic how to become on mystic and why we all wanna become mystics for ourselves our children and our planet so welcome back to the show or was that your line. No that's your line. So welcome back to the show jessica. Are you ready to shot by. Yes because i've just been petting my meows. Your meows anyway. For those of you know meals is our our one of our cherished kitties who we named sir meows irs but when we introduce him to my mom who's lived in new jersey for the last fifty years of her life She called him miatas. And then what happened when we went on the massachusetts new hampshire beach. Well we took A rooster review and meals for a walk in his stroller. And we we met a very gentleman with a dog who i introduced me. Alvarez meows irs and he said oh nice to meet you noses nice massachusetts. How did distinguish meals is. I think is how your mom says it houses and then he said ya'll's aha and laze rusada nice roosa- roosa- you do that much better than me. I have lived here for a year or two. I may have grown up on this coast. I never packed my cause. But i can sure say larussa or to roost and worcester. First question based question ready. This was an awkward shifting of gears. But why not. I am not ready so historically we are doing great we did a show a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing. I get nervous anytime on air with jessica because she can be a little bit intimidating on the mike. I got my notes right here. Okay my pretend index cards. I see you're like back. You're going through them. Shuffling them here. Lots of love to alec on the other side said alec or i don't know all right okay first question. Who are you know the question that is asked by wa. Every single potential. Coaching client which these days is quite exclusive but And i actually i asked you. This question A few months ago. But i said more like who are you and i said i am a modern mystic. You didn't. I didn't say that at all so what you're implying. Little backstory is what. you're implying. is i help raise. People's vibration shifa elevate consciousness. Shift humanity raise people's libration shift consciousness. Elevate humanity and you're going no but who are you if people come to the channel of people come to the website if they come here if they come there who are you and you didn't feel that was a sufficient answer. Did you know. I thought that was a lot of fluff. I mean i know you really really believe in each tenant of that statement term of a fluff but i really want you to get to the essence. Because i think we've been asking this question for the last decade or sell well okay Maybe we were asking it for ten years that we should have been chasing us down when we did Things like barefoot running which is now over a decade ago. We didn't actually wanna teach just about barefoot running. We wanted to teach something else and we're trying to find a back door into teaching that. Yeah you don't want to be known as the barefoot manner for the rest of your life. No that's probably. Why the whole thing wayne dyer. All that stuff deliberately didn't work out so that i wasn't like pimping my feet or anybody else's for the rest of my life in there they're not really Shut him worthy new. No and it's interesting. How that took place. The the aesthetically pleasing feet word so aesthetically pleasing anymore as styrian guidance from the university can't believe we're even going there to say that's not who and what you are. That is an element that helped. You can help other people so fi years after we went down the barefoot running road we launched inspire nation and even then we struggled. Because you're like you could talk about anything that we had dan iru fox many years ago. Who said i could make a telephone pole. Sound interesting so we talked about health than we talked about. Well then we talked about Women's performance send. I don't even know what obscurity we everything we could all under the umbrella. That's the term. Oh before i wait in the words chase me down all under the umbrella of inspiration helping you to shine bright and that was great or start but what we know. Is this that if we have a bunch of studio lights around us we get nice. Diffuse soft lighting if we took that same amount of wattage and focused it to the pin to the tip of a needle that amount of focus it would be a laser beam that could literally shoot to a satellite beyond or burn through steel. We didn't have focused and that focus. It made everything everything having to do with the business a lot more challenging like telling your story well. He does f. b. thing and he was a pro athlete. He had near death experiences. He's been bear for it he can spend on his head. No i can't. He's a rooster whisper circus performer. And i'm just thinking about like how. How even coming up with your your your coaching page. I was like well. What are you. What are you claiming that you can help people with everything and there's a part of me that says that's true but if you're everything to everyone than you're nothing no one didn't.

Bleeding Green Nation
"first question" Discussed on Bleeding Green Nation
"This year with a combined. Four thirty winning percentage of their opponents this season again much of that because of nfc east opponents the cowboys in the football team and the giants. But i think that's. I think that's misleading. Because a couple of the teams that are on their roster that are on their schedule that had losing records last year are projected to be much better. The san francisco forty niners are one of those teams that are not going to be bad. This year i again. I think the cowboys will be a much better team than they were last year. So there's a few teams like that on their schedule. Where are under five hundred. The chargers are another one chargers. Have an opportunity have a chance to be a very good team this year. So some of these teams with losing records last year are going to be better. They're just going to be better and they're going to be those teams where you look. They you see there were six. They were six and ten last year. Okay that's that's a game. The eagles should at least be in right but they probably won't be in those games against the forty niners and the chargers. And maybe not even the cowboys and the washington football team will we will see all right Bet online had some interesting over under numbers on so well. Let's let's just run these down. And i'll give you my thoughts on how i think. Each of these players are going to do and they have jalen hurts. Total passing yards at thirty seven hundred passing yards. I think that's wildly. Hi i'm coming under for. Jalen hurts passing yards under thirty seven hundred passing yards. This year total touchdown passes of twenty-one. I'll take the over on that. I just think devante smith is going to help him with that. But and with the two tight ends. I think you know zakar. It's is still here. He's not happy but he's still here in dallas scattered. I think jalen hurts. Can get over the twenty-one mark. I have a twelve and a half interceptions i have him over the twelve and a half interceptions. I think we're looking at fourteen or fifteen interceptions for jalen hurts here. In twenty twenty one total rushing yards six. Seventy five and a half. I'm going over on the rushing yards. I think he's going to be more of a threat running the football than passing the football. So i see like a seven hundred. Eight hundred yard rushing yards season for him provided he starts all sixteen games and then seven rushing touchdowns. I think that's going to be down. I don't think he's going to have seven rushing touchdowns. I'll say like four or five so i'll take the under on that mile sanders total rushing yards one thousand. I'm going to go under a thousand because mile. Sanders has just had trouble staying healthy in his career. If he plays a sixteen game schedule. I think that's an easy over. But mile sanders in his two seasons has had trouble staying on the field. And so i think he's probably an eight hundred. Nine hundred yard rushing guy. I think i'm going to take the under on mile sanders rushing yards of one thousand total rushing and receiving touchdown. Six and a half. I think he goes over this. I think you see a better year from him. Catching the football out of the backfield. And i think he's going to get in the end zone quite a bit rushing the football. I think he's going to have a nine or ten touchdown season combined. So i'll take the over on mile sanders rushing and receiving touchdowns devante smith total receiving yards. Seven seventy five. You know what. Let's let's get wild and take the over. Let's say devante. Smith has a nine hundred yards receiving season. Sounds right to me and five touchdowns for devante smith. Let's take the over on that too. Why not be bullish. Why not be one not feel good about it. Let's say he gets. He gets seven or eight touchdowns here in twenty twenty one now. Jalen rigor total receiving yards. Six seventy five and a half with all the news coming out about jalen regular this week. This is going to be tough. i would have. I would have said over before. Now i'm gonna take the under on jalen rigor right now. It just doesn't feel good right now. Does it. And i'll take the under on the four receiving touchdowns that's the case. It's going to be a tough. This offense is going to have trouble. Offense is gonna have a lot of trouble. If if what. I'm feeling in my gut is correct. But that's what i'm feeling in my gut regarding. Jalen reagan's numbers and i. I absolutely hope he proves me wrong. Dallas got her total receiving yards. Seven twenty five. I'll take the over on that not by a lot. I think he's gonna come in around under eight hundred but somewhere between seven. Twenty five and eight hundred. Total receiving yards for dallas scattered and receiving touchdowns. Five i've got him over five. I think he'll i think he'll account for seven or eight touchdowns as well on the defensive side to players listed here fletcher cox total sacks in twenty twenty one at six and a half. Let me take the voice. Six and a half a good number. I'll take the over for fletcher cox. But i'm saying seven like seven and a half sacks for for fletcher cox. Not by much. I would not. I would not feel good putting anything down on the on that on that total. Because i think that's right around where. Fletch is going to be and brandon graham sacks eight for him. I'll take the under just another year. Older and i think josh sweat is going to get a little bit more playing time. So i feel like brandon. Graham sacked number comes down just a little bit here in two thousand twenty one. I'll have him under the eight. That bet online has for him as far as here in twenty twenty one all right folks. Listen that's gonna do it for this edition of eye on the enemy. Thanks everybody for for tuning in this week. We'll have a guest coming your way next week. Ben standing from the athletic is going to talk to us about what we can expect from the washington football team as they are in what will be the second week of training camp next week. Training camp Coming up next week on next week's episode as well so make sure you stay tuned for all of that. Thanks everybody for.

"I never took a look at the strength of schedule for the twenty twenty one season and again before the season starts. And i've said this before. I do not take a lot of stock in strength of schedule stuff because we see it every season teams that you think are not going to be any turn out to be much better than you think and teams that you think are going to be. Among the harder on the schedule suffer catastrophic injury or just. Don't they're just not able to put it together like the eagles year when when people saw the eagles on their roster they were the defending. Nfc east champions. No one thought that team was going for four eleven in one. So that happens you you get those teams that you think are going to be good they turn out to be bad teams that you think i mean bad that. Turn out to be good but it is interesting to take a look at the strength of schedule for twenty twenty one. Even though i don't buy a whole lot and you look at the teams with the toughest schedules. The steelers have a fi- a combined opponents. Winning percentage of five seventy four from last year. Which is the toughest in the nfl. So the steelers at five seventy four of the toughest schedule in two thousand twenty one the baltimore ravens right behind them at five sixty three. The chicago bears at five fifty. Have the third toughest schedule here. In twenty twenty one followed by the green bay packers at five forty two and the minnesota vikings at five thirty one. So you've got to. Afc north teams and three nfc north teams all with the with the toughest strength of schedule in the nfl. This season the first. Nfc east team to appear on this list. Is the washington football team tied for fifteenth with the houston texans with this middle of the pack. Right tied for fifteenth in in the strength of schedule toughness at five oh four their opponents they combined five four winning percentage in two thousand twenty one and then you gotta keep scrolling down the list and the reason for this is the. Nfc east was filled with bad teams last year. So the the washington football team the giants the cowboys in the eagles are gonna play each other a bunch this year and they were all under five hundred so yeah it's going to be it's going to be an easy strength of schedule because they're gonna be playing each other a lot but i do again like think. These teams are going to be a little bit better this year than they were last year. The giants come into the season with the twenty fifth toughest schedule at with a combined..

"Have is a franchise quarterback it's still the biggest question mark on that roster and so they went and got ryan fitzpatrick because when fitzpatrick does get hot. He can carry a team but he's never been able to play well and consistently over sixteen game season and the backup is a guy named tyler. Heineke who played really well in the in the wildcard game against the tampa bay buccaneers last year. But you can't rely on him as a as a sixteen game starter because of one game now. He's a decent backup. So if you need them for a couple of games here and there that's probably exactly what he should be doing. But this season is going to come down to ryan fitzpatrick and whether or not he's good enough to lead washington to a second straight. Nfc east crown the new york giants. I think it's another quarterback question right. Is daniel jones guy very similar situation. I think the washington defense is better than new. York's defense i think. New york's offense has better skill position players around daniel jones and a better offensive line. I think the new york giants offense could be one of the five or one of the five or seven best offenses in football this year. If daniel jones is for real if daniel jones shows that he can stop turning the ball over stop taking sacks and play like the first round pick that he was then. The giants are going to be a really good offensive team and probably a playoff contender. But we haven't seen enough from daniel jones over the course of a full season to say whether or not he is there fulltime franchise. They're franchised quarterback moving forward. And so you could have both of these teams washington and new york just like they did a few seasons ago when they got to win. Each team drafted dwayne haskins and daniel jones. And they thought they got their franchise quarterbacks then the giants are still trying to figure out the wash- washington already realized that haskins was not there guy. The giants are still are giving daniel jones. I think one more season to show that he can be the franchise quarterback and if he if he can be than the giants are gonna go a long ways this year But for me the jury is out. And i'm not. I don't think daniel jones's their franchise quarterback but we will see we will see but the dallas cowboys their main question revolves around their defense and that is can the new defensive coordinator. Dan quinn turned things around there. The they've got a couple interesting pieces. Mike parsons their first round. Pick looks like he's going to be a pretty good linebacker but they still got some holes. They've they still have a week. Secondary that offensive line could be okay. But dan quincy really good defensive coordinator and we've seen a good defensive coordinator can can take talent. That may may not be quite as good and coach them up and so the question is can the dallas cowboys. Can dan. quinn. Do that because the cowboys offense with dak prescott returning should be what we thought they were going to be last year which is one of the elite offenses in the nfl. But it is all going to come down to whether or not dan quinn's unit can stop people and they did not do much this off season. The cowboys did not do much to add to a defensive team. That was the worst in the nfl. Last year really. I mean the dallas cowboys really just did not do much of anything this off season to improve other than drafting. Mike parsons and adding some other pieces in the draft. So dan quinn has a lot of work to do ahead of him. And that is their biggest question as we as they get training camp underway and of course for the philadelphia eagles. It's another quarterback. Question jalen hurts he has. I've said it. Numerous times on the podcast. So i won't belabor the point but he has one year to prove he's a franchise quarterback one year if he doesn't do it this year. He's going to be relegated to being the backup. Which is why howie roseman drafted him in the first place. But we've gone over that a million times you don't need. You don't need to hear me talk about that again. But jalen hurts. Has one season just this season to prove he can be the franchise quarterback otherwise the eagles are gonna use those first round draft picks whether it's two of them or three of them to go out and get their franchise quarterback we'll step away. Take a quick break when we come back. I want to look at the strength of schedule. For twenty twenty one and where the eagles rank among the nfc teams and then we'll do some over unders for some eagles players as we are in the midst of training camp here in two thousand twenty one. That's all coming up next here on eye on the enemy support for this episode comes from forward. Most.

Do I have recourse to my homeowner's association to resolve encroachment of neighbors trees on my property? Yeah. Yeah, it's probably your neighbor's probably in violation of the CCN ours. Would you have a copy of? You can always get a copy from the association and you start reading it Now. It's a lot of reading. But you already know that. Okay? Doesn't think it's beginning. And does it say in there that you cannot encroach on neighbors with you? You can't You're not allowed to do this to say that. I haven't checked it yet because I didn't know to do it. But I do have a copy of this. They want to read the word keyword search on the word encroachment. Yeah. You want to look at the sea cnrs and look at encroachment. Uh and, uh, that can control everything. But you have a general encroachment issue anyway. But if it's specific within the sea cnrs, then the H O A has to act on your behalf and go after the Go after the neighbor because not only do you have a general rule just a legal issue, uh, that you can't do that to a neighbor. But also, I think added to that is that there has to be within the CC and RS was a violation there, and the CCR should be all over it. Telling your neighbor you have 30 days, uh, to cut that tree or trim it, So there's no encroachment. So you're you've got both ways to go. And so as soon as you find you go to the board and you go to the the president of the board, just call up the president of board. You go to the next meeting and make sure they bring that up.
