"She's Trish Regan, welcome back to America first host of the Trish Regan show. Go to Trish Intel dot com. Follow her on Twitter. When do we start? Do we start with a 110 LA 4.3 million workers criminal jobs in August or inflation? Well, we can start on inflation since the last that's the last one you mentioned. Yeah, this is, look, I've been talking about it now for about a year by concerns about inflation. And I'd been saying, it's here it's getting worse. And, you know, look, I don't want to be proven right on this, believe me. Seth, I don't because this is so bad for your average American family, struggling to make ends meet. Now, prices are up. Energy prices are up 24%. You've got diapers up 14%. Food up so much. So this is hurting people. This is really bad, but what we saw reflected in these numbers is that once again, inflation is sky high, it's a sky high for 6th straight month. Hi, basically it's January. And look, I mean, there's no way around this. We're right back in a 1970s style economy again. And I hate to say it, but it's bad policy, bad policy choices have

John Solomon: 'Let's Go Brandon' Is the 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' of Our Generation

"Take, people have played the video again and again and again of the original let's go Brandon, where the TV presenter pauses to allow the stadium to shout what they shouted. She knows she knew what was she was doing, don't you think John? As a, you know, as an experienced journalist, she was having fun there, wasn't she? Yeah, she was, or she was trying to cover for what she thought was an embarrassing moment. Listen, let's go Brandon, is this generation's Yankee doodle dandy, right? Yankee doodle was written to mock king George. And this is the perfect example of mocking all the censorship, all of the craziness in America. Media can't tell even an honest story about what's being said in the stands. But the American people get it and they're having fun with it and sometimes humor is the greatest weapon in politics. I love that. I love that. It's our Yankee doodle dandy it's how we point out that the emperor isn't just naked. He's also seen now. That's what let's go

The Internet has been buzzing the last couple of two three days because the folks who make little Debbie snack cakes have announced they're going to be doing little Debbie ice cream this Christmas, an exclusive deal with Walmart that's kind of the taste of their Christmas tree cakes or whatever they are. As much as I love snack cakes, I always grew up as a hostess kid and didn't really enjoy little Debbie's didn't even see little Debbie's until probably the early to mid 80s when I was going to college in southwest Virginia. Now they've been nationwide and they've been around most of my life, but I didn't really notice them until then. My favorites probably the zebra cakes. I think they're the ones I eat the most if I do eat them. My wife, I think she may have nutty buddies in the house right now and she likes the Swiss cakes and doesn't mind the zebra cakes, and while I've had the Christmas tree cakes, they pretty much all taste the same to me. But the ice cream is making people crazy. Thought? Gonna try it. Gonna see if I can find a pint at Walmart when they start selling it. It's going to be a limited time run. It's going to be something that people are going to be looking for. The look out for, if you really care, little Debbie ice cream, who would have thought people would care that much?

Tolerance and Apathy Are Defining Characteristics of a Dying Society

"Tolerance. You guys have those signs up anywhere on campus. We need a tolerate things. No not no bailers, thankfully not as following as other places. Should we tolerate evil? That's an interesting question, right? And some people say yes, some people say no. And it depends what your kind of idea of tolerance is, right? And what does that actually mean Aristotle, who's the man? Hope you guys are studying Aristotle. Maybe maybe not. Okay. We'll get this a little bit, yes. A couple of people could praise God. Aristotle said that tolerance and apathy are defining characteristics of a dying society. Now, what did he mean by that? Did he mean that you should be intolerance? Because that's what they call us all the time though. What he meant is when all of a sudden people stop caring about bad things happening around them. That's what he meant. That he was using them as synonyms, tolerance and apathy. And I think this happens far too often. And so since I've been I haven't been controversial enough tonight, so I have to dive right into it. So last week, I was doing my podcast and my radio show. And I said, you know, the left in this country wants people to live in a version of sexual anarchy. People like, what is that? That sounds like a band. Like, it's actually a great band name by the way. Hasn't been taken yet. If anyone has a band, it actually might be it's like the Sex Pistols. It's like sexual anarchy. No, it's very simple, which is that it's this 1960s live. That's antibiotic antichristian anti natural law to do whatever feels good. To indulge in a flash to do every want to do when you want to do it however you want to do it. That doesn't make people free. You will live in a state of anarchy spiritually and personally if you do that. And it's become wildly unpopular to say this out loud, which is why are we having so many issues with students and young people when it comes to this sort of issue is that I don't think we've ever been, I don't think we've been honest enough by saying people that liberty is not doing what you want to do whenever you want to do it. Liberty is doing what you ought to do. And from a Christian biblical perspective, it means standing up and having hopefully the clarity. So you know what? You should reject hookup culture that you should save yourself for one person, loyally marry them and stay in a single relationship with them and say that this is how the Bible wants us to live, and you will be more free because

When We Make Decisions Based on Diversity Instead of Competency, America Suffers

"That when we start to organize society, or when we start to make decisions based on things that people can not change versus on things they can change such as diversity or skin color, not competency and excellence, then all of a sudden you're going to start to see society suffer because of it. And a great example of this is what happened in Afghanistan, which I think we've forgot about way too quickly. What happened in Afghanistan was a publican international humiliation where we gave $85 billion to the Taliban. We gave up the Bagram air base. The sacrifices of so many military members went for not. And let me be very clear. I was all for ending the war in Afghanistan. But if all of a sudden I said, hey, you know, you're the kidney that gets removed. You take out a pocket knife and you start to do, like, that's not a good idea, okay? Go to a professional who knows what they're doing. There's a good way and a bad way to do something that needs to be done. And getting out of Afghanistan, Robinson, hey, let's arm the enemy, give the embassy up, not patrol the air base, Americans are stranded for months on end, give China the upper hand with the entire evacuation, give up the strategic air base. And the reason in the opinion of, I think anyone looks at it objectively, is that the head of the United States military, Mark milley along with Lloyd Austin and Joe Biden, if you consider him to be the head of anything, which is, which is, they were testifying in front of Congress back in June, saying that the existential threat to America was white rage, and that we're not going to apologize for implementing critical race theory diversity equity inclusion or this sort of new history into the military. Into the military of all places. The military that by definition, every person here should want the military to be a place where competency ranks that you don't land the plane, your national security is at risk. You're not able to eliminate the enemy, your national security is at risk. Should all of a sudden, we'd be worrying about these arbitrary academic exercises of diversity equity inclusion or saying, hey, we have the greatest fighting force in the history of the world, probably not worth messing that up for some sort of esoteric abstract academic

The Death of George Floyd Literally Set the Country on Fire

"The death of George Floyd literally set the country on fire. And immediately, it was kind of confirmation bias of the narrative that we were always told, which is that law enforcement police officers are going and they're walking the streets, trying to find black people. They're literally killing them without any sort of due process whatsoever. The numbers don't bear this out at all. I'm happy to get into that 30 unarmed black people were killed by police officers in 2018, 2019 combined. Out of that, some of them tried to run over police officers their car, grabbing weapons, the police officers, and out of 335 million police interactions, you have 30 unarmed black people in just two years. All of a sudden you're like, is that really worth redesigning American society around that? That would be foolish and imprudent. We decided to do it anyway. $2 billion of damages and all of a sudden, every major corporation stemming from what's happening in college campus is we decided to all of a sudden embrace this that we're systemically racist. We're a white supremacist country, and if you dare disagree with us, we will character assassinate, you mock you ridicule you because you're a racist, sit down and shut up. And all of a sudden people started to read the literature, moms and dads are like wait a second, you're trying to tell my 8 year old that he's a racist just because of the color of your skin, like not so fast. Started to show up in school board meetings, loud and county, Virginia, big center, that. And so now where we are today in October 2021, actually critical race theory has a negative view by a majority Americans. Not overwhelming about 56% of Americans say, wait a second. This is a little bit too radical for me. You know, I can understand that if you want to have a conversation about some of these things, but all of a sudden saying that we need to have white privilege walks, and we have segregated graduation ceremonies. We didn't have segregation today to make up for segregated segregation yesterday by iber max Kennedy. That's too much

Our Faith Touches Everything

"The Germans bought into this stupid idea. They thought, hey, we're German, which means we're Lutheran, which means Luther invented Christianity as far as we're concerned. He invented this idea of grace, grace means I don't have to do anything, and that's that. And of course, Bonham wrote about cheap grace and the idea that if you don't really understand grace, you treat it like nothing. You know, you treat what God has done for you like nothing, which means you don't get it, which means you don't believe which means forget about grace. There's no grace because you have an appropriate degree. I really believe for other reasons the church in America today has done the same thing. I think there are different reasons, but there are tons of people who've excoriated people like me and Frank and said, you've made an idol of politics. You've made an idol of Donald Trump. You know, ridiculous things. And the point is no, we just believe that our faith touches everything. It's not some little parochial religious thing that stays in the corner, like the official church is doing China. It's something that has to come out of the church and live everywhere. We have a free exercise of religion, freedom to do that. So if you keep it in this little religious theological corner, then it's phony. It's abbreviated faith. If you don't live it out in the school, on the workplace, on the radio, on the whatever it is, if you don't do that, you don't really believe it. Your phony. So when people talk about, I just want to preach the gospel. I don't want to be I don't want to be political. We think that's just stupid. That makes no sense. Because if you're a Jew in a boxcar going to Treblinka or Auschwitz, you think, you know, I would love it if there was some Christians out there on the other side of this boxcar who believed what they said and would get political and stand up against the system that is sending me my family to death. That means getting political.

What Happened When Eric 'Came Out' as a Trump Supporter

"Because when I wrote the bonhoeffer book, so many people came to love me who then once I came out of the closet as believing Trump was better than Hillary Clinton as a candidate is pretty crazy stuff. When I came out on that, these people thought, I get emails now a little bit less often, but I was getting emails like almost every day. Have you lost your mind? Didn't you read your own bonhoff for book? Don't you see, you know, effectively that Hitler, I mean, that's a Trump is Hitler two. Don't you get it? He's an authoritarian monster. You know, and I realized that it's almost funny because it's precisely the opposite. It's the left that has taken on the mantle of Hitler. Has anybody referred to Hitler as having a mantle before? The biblical, it's an anti mantle sure. But the point is the point is that the parallels are stark. But even a number of years ago, even I don't know, 7 years ago, 8 years ago, people would say, how did this happen in Nazi Germany? How did that happen? And I said, it happened exactly like it's happening here now. That's how it happened. So the idea that I mean, of course, if you have a racist view of Germans, it's very easy to say how it happened. The Germans are uniquely evil. But if you believe that you're as bad as the Germans who hated the Jews as being uniquely evil, we all know, as Dennis just said that it's not a racial issue. It's a human issue. And we don't know why God allows it to go as it does through history. You know, if I were God, I don't think I would have let the Holocaust happen, but I'm not

"He gets on a motorcycle and he goes in pursuit of the Of the vehicles that the. Drc officials are in and Sharon you know. She's walking and she puts the guy that locked the people in in those vehicles she. She walks up to him. You know bumped into him and he gets into his vehicle and All sudden it does this weird Smoke thing and it blows up and So she got rid of him that way and and she had planted mercury vapor or something like that in any way so meanwhile up on the roof There are people that are getting into a helicopter. And of course you know in It's about to take off. And sam is still fighting That one guy you know in the in the in the building and Sharon tells him that he better speed things up because the helicopters fixing to take off but he's like He tells bucky you know or our calls bucky on the intercom and buggies. Like i don't do the flying thing that's all you man. So sam finishes up. You know he he gets and he doesn't get the guy but he he makes it where he can get away from that guy so that he can go. Help the people in the helicopter there more pressing than Than this guy is right at the moment. So he's in pursuit of the helicopter and He has red wings scan to see if anybody helicopter has a flight training and in as he's scanning he finds a woman in there. But then the guy that's flying helicopters start shooting redwing so meanwhile down on the ground Carly in her people are waiting for the vehicles to arrive and she is talking about that they will have to kill every last one of them if they have to and her people don't like this you know they're they're like I thought we were going to use them as a as leverage as hostages. And she's like well you know we have to die trying to for the cause and the nuts and that's what we're going to have to do and again people they they don't want to die for this cause they don't wanna die. They wanna live so but she turns around you on and she says one road one people and everybody is hesitant to To agree with her but they do and backup in the sky Sam he's trying to get the helicopter and there's a police helicopter up there too and the bag starts playing chicken with the with the good guy our with the with the police helicopter and he makes a police helicopter go down and sam has to save the police inside that helicopter and he grabbed them. Any lands on the bridge and the helicopter comes down and sam covers himself with his wings. And deflects the The helicopter so. That's how we learn. That sam has my brain wings now. So meanwhile back with the The trucks currently is trying to take to to gain them and Bucky arrives on the scene and he starts fine with the one of the flag smashers and So she comes up with the idea to to for diversion to set one of the trucks on fire. So he'll have to you know distract him so he'll have to save somebody's life and As as they're doing that and as bookies trying to to open the door John walker comes up in he starts. He comes up and Carly's like apologizing. I didn't mean to kill your friend. I don't mean to kill people who don't matter and of course rightfully so this upsets john walker and he and he joins in the fight so but buggy. He finally gets the door open to armored truck and one of the guys that gets out of the trucks. Thanks him for saving his life. And i feel like this was probably one of the first times bookie has ever been thanked for you know doing a heroic act and it's it's kind of satisfying to see that happen for bucket but anyways he joins john walker and trying to stop stop flask the flag smashers and they They're all they're all fighting in carly knocks bucky off of a ledge there and so he drops down to the bottom back up in the air. Sam he's talking to the lady that knows how to fly helicopters and he's telling her that What they're gonna do is Is going to require perfect timing. So that when they count to five she needs to take over the controls but as he's flying next to the helicopter the guy that's a that's flying shoots abby knocks him often some things Some big cylinder I don't know what they're called falls down onto him into the water and But sam gets about of water and he's like you know boy you just earned your ass whooping but anyway and he goes. He starts linebacker and human isla. That's the lady that comply the helicopters name. she's they start counting down from five and he throws the shielding their knocks the guy out of the plane And our i'm sorry. The helicopter and she takes over the controls and saves the day in and everything. And so everybody's all good up there and So back down on the ground john walker. He's fine with curly morgan though and She gets the better of him and knocks him down. And then she runs to the armored truck and Tries to drive it. Off the the ledge there and She jumps out and john walker. You know he doesn't. We don't know at this point what he's going to do. He has to make a decision. Is he gonna go and help. The people in that armored truckers go after carly and all of a sudden he's down at the bottom and he seeing this This armored truck coming atom and all of a sudden it stops and john walker made the right decision and right here you know. Everybody was hating on john walker. Because of you know you know what he's done in the past and everything and you know but this was Marvel's way of redeeming the character and they did a beautiful job because you know he. He made the right decision. And i remember being like so proud of john walker for making the right decision right here to save those people but again he carly and her flags masters come over there and they start fighting john walker and He he falls down down there where bucky is. And so the armored car starts fallen and we see it. Stop a sudden and you don't quite know how it's not like that but it may have gotten card on something or something but it pans over and we see that it. It actually did get caught on something got caught. Sam you know he stopping it from from fallen over and he he pushes it back up and saves the people inside so and and when he gets up there all the people that are up on a top watching all this happen all stuff unfold. They start cheering for him. Because you know he's he's captain america. No i mean this was his big superhero moment. Anyway and then. There's there's people watching like i said and one of the old man in there says the looked us. The black falcon and another person looks over. I'm corrections says no that's kept in america but then after all that Sam he flies down and joins bookie and john walker in. Currently you know she's like. I can't believe you bought into all of this and He he's he's like. I'm just accepted. I'm trying to new thing and anyway The guy that that Sam was fine earlier. He comes and he blows smoke bombs so that everybody can scatter in so all flags masters there they go into the abandoned building in Bucky john in tam follow in you know and they all split up because they often go know for all the different flags masters and carlito. She hears whistling in thinking You know it's her. It's her people and so she's walking through there. And sharon comes around the corner and you know it's it's not our people sharing but anyway sharon is telling carly drop her weapon and of course carl he's not doing it and Carli till sharon that. She's disappointed in her in for a minute. That you're like what you know and But anyway and sharon tells carla that. She's disappointed in her. Two and i started talking to like familiar with each other. 'cause it's revealed that Sharon is the powerbroker and sharon. You know she's all telling carly that you know she can come work for her and carly's like you just want us for our muscle because you know. Currently the one i mean. Carli took the super soldier serum from sharon. You know and Sharon needs her muscles. She needs. She needs her super soldiers. You know that's what they're sharon was doing was trying to make more super soldiers so and carly Interfered took all that from her. So but anyway As they're talking that That french guy. I cannot remember his name guys that if y'all know his name Let me know. Because i mean i guess i should google it and find out because it's going to be the last time i'm talking about the show but At this point. I don't know but anyway. Oh yeah i'm in. Let me let me just take a minute. Right here because In a couple episodes back. I brought up The hulk in his whole you know. I thought that he was. You know super soldier going wrong. You know and i i was trying to figure out you know where he lays into all this and so i googled it and what i found out was that Bruce banner was working on a super soldier serum or something like that and it went wrong. So that's why the hulk is the way he is but anyways that's gone down a tangent but anyway so back to disguise come up and he is Want to be paid by Sharing because you know. She promised him that she would pay him. You know I guess what was it three times. You know what she owed him but anyway he said that. If you don't pay me then i'll reveal to everybody who you are and She's like i don't do blackmail so she shoots him and kills him and carly I guess shoots at sharon and in sam walks up right here and Carli tell sam to stay back 'cause he doesn't sam doesn't realize what he's walked in on and But anyway carly sam they start fighting and Sam sam won't fight back you know he's like i wanna help you and everything in And but Carly knocks him down. And she says she tells him to stay down and he's and he gets up and says no now. I have seen several posts on the internet. You know media's where this was his one chance to say Do this all day. But he didn't That would have been really kobe. St rogers line. So i'm kinda glad that That sam didn't say this but anyway so it goes to the flag smashers Group in her following a thing on their app on their phone. And you know they think they're i think they're following Carly's orders but Come to find out that it was bucky because he had that phone So they've been following orders from bucky and anyway they run into bucky and john walker in he he makes a quote. About abraham lincoln mercy bears greater fruit than strict justice and You know and then bucky reveals. You know how he tracked down. Anyway they're all arrested and He goes back to carlene salmon. They're fighting and of course Sam's not really fighting and carly is trying to get him to fight back but He gets knocked down and she picks up the gun and sees aiming at him and Before she has a chance to shoot though. Sharon shoots her and so She dies in sam's arms carly does and so sam takes her and lays you know he comes down out of the sky holding carly there and he lays her on a gurney in a government. People that he just helped save ca. Start running up to him and and thanking him for for doing what he did in everything in this next Seen he does he. I mean he could say it better than i could I'm gonna risk it again. I'm going to play a little bit of the episode for you. Hold on sincerely. You did part dealing with those terrorists. And we'll do ours. Are you still going forward. Resetting the borders peacekeeping troops will begin relocating people. The terrorists only set us back. A bit have stopped calling them terrorists. What else would we call your peacekeeping troops carrying weapons of forcing millions of people in the settlements around the world right. What do you think those people are going to call you. He's labels terrorist refugee thug. The often use to get around the question. Why those settlements that happened five years ago. Do you think it is fair for governments to have to support them. Yes and the people who reappeared only to find someone else living in their family home they just ended up homeless again it but you have no idea how complicated this situation is. You're right and that's a good thing. We finally have a common struggle. Now think about that for once. All the people who've been begging and i mean literally begging for you to feel how hard any given day is now you know. How did it feel to be helpless. Have you remember what it was like to be helpless and face a force so powerful. It can erase half the planet. It would know that you're about to have the exact same impact. This isn't about easy decisions senator. You just don't understand. I'm a black man carey in the stars and stripes. What don't understand every time a pick this thing up. I know they're millions of people out there who are going to hate me for even now you feel the stairs the judgment and there's nothing i can do to change. I'm still here. No super serum no blonde hair or owners. The only power i have is that i believe we can do better. We can't demand that people step up and we don't meet them half way you control the banks shit. You can move borders. Knock down a forest with the email you can feed a million people went the fallen call but the question who is in a room with you and you're making those decisions the people you're gonna impact or is it just more people like you. This girl died trying to stop you and no one has stopped for one. Second to ask why. You've got to better senator. You've gotta step because if you don't the next carly will and you don't wanna see two point. People believed in her cause so much that they helped her defy the strongest governments in the world. Why do you think that is. People have just as much power as an insane god or misguided teenage question. You have to ask yourself is how are you going to use it anyway. I help i can keep that in. Because he definitely can say a law barron. i can and Plus all have to redo a whole segment. If if if i can't keep that in but anyways so as he makes that speech and he's right i you know like i said. I wish i could keep that in because everybody needs to hear that you know even if you don't watch the falcon and the winter soldier. We all need to come together. Real world problems man This this country. America in particular were so divided right now and it needs to stop. We need to learn from each other and we need to listen to each other so but anyways after he makes that speech to the to the government He walks off in the. He's walking next are walking towards bucky and he walks past a john walker and they both gave each other a nod. Because you know it's kind of like you know I'm captain america now and and john walker is acknowledging that yet. You should have been you all this time. But he walks up to bucky. Buggy makes a joke that He didn't hear a word of that because he was texting on his phone. All you heard was that you know a black captain america you know anyway him in bucky Go to sharon. She's shot in. She apologizes for what she had to take a carly down and everything and Sam or with someone comes up and calls for for captain america. You know for cap in Sharon says i think they're talking to you in them. He starts to walk away. He says i didn't forget about my promise. You know to to sharon but anyway and this guy tells him that there's a flag smasher that still in the the hudson He's he's hurt bad but he's not you know so. Anyway sam flies off to go get him and but anyway goes to the flag smashers and they're all being transferred to the raft. And you know they're being loaded up into the truck there and it starts driving off and it blows up and It pans out and it shows The mos butler He he blew up the the flag smashers and so zemo sitting in the in his jail cell listening to that on the news. And that's that. So i mean i guess you know zemo. He's wanted to a kate. All of those super soldiers and he succeeded but anyway and then it goes to The val valerie content. I'm gonna call her valley all because don't ask me to repeat all of her name's but anyway goes to her and she is with john walker's wife and they're sitting waiting for him to try on his new suits and He he comes out and of course and he's wearing the same suit except for its black and Well you know. She says. We don't need a captain america. We're going to need something different. You know because things are fixing get weird We're gonna need a us agent so I don't know much about the comics. All i know is that the. Us agent I'm not sure. I this makes me a little nervous in in in a little. I don't know maybe a little curious but anyway so that's that's the end of his arc in the show so but anyway. I hope that will stop all the hate on wyatt. Russell from social media fans and stuff. Because he doesn't he doesn't deserve that hate in. I hope this episode helped Settled down anyway. Gus to the next scene it's a bucky and he is Going to talk to the little man that was in the first episode with him about his son and of course he tells him that His son was murdered in that he murdered him and It's a really hard thing to watch It made me cry. The first time i watched it But you also know that Becky is getting his closure in his piece in. The old man is giving his closure in piece too. So it's it's bittersweet it's it's a good scene in. It's also bad scene after he confesses to the little man Goes are goes to his therapist and he. He left her the book you know that he wrote down names and He had crossed off off all the names and the he he left her. No saying thank you for all that you did for me. And then it shows him walking past the little diner that him a little. Oh man used to eat at. I guess and He he stands there for a minute in the window and He any walks away. I mean because you know. He's he's at peace and so as a little. Oh man you know. So it goes to sam and he's gone to visit a bradley and he's standing at the door and isaiah. Bradley saw grandson answers the d'auvergne she's like a black falcon and all this and And rarely walks behind us. He ain't the black falcon anymore but he still black but anyway they go to the back yard in. They're talking in in Other bradley's like you must must've done something right because you know the going gonna make good on their promises and he's and he points out that you know you are special but he's like you know martin luther king or or anybody like that but you still special and he says term. You know like captain america. No in sounds like yeah you know and as bradley he says You know the fight you're taking on it ain't gonna be easy but Sam says well you know i. I know what people did in sacrificed before me. He's like i'm not you know we built this place you know and i'm not gonna let anybody tell me i can't fight for it and then isaiah bradley's like a will well almost bought that and everything and Anyway he sam tells him to go get cleaned up because there's something he wants to show him and so it goes to the next scene. And they're in the captain america museum at the smithsonian and they're walking through st rogers area and then they go to a new area and it has everything about isaiah bradley in in the museum and sam tells him that now. They'll never forget what you did for this country and He is a bradley gives a sama hug. Righty threat there. And it's a very touching scene and it's really. I'm i'm glad that he needed to be remembered. He needs to be honored for what he did. But anyway so it goes to the next and it's back in They're all having a cookout and and celebrating probably because the government stepped in and helped You know sam's family and everything albuquerque's there and everybody. Everybody's there are just having a good time and i show sam and he's standing there looking out into the water and bucky walks up behind him and It fades to black but just before the ending credits are rolling the title card changes. It goes from the falcon and the winter soldier to captain america in the winter soldier and it goes to the end credits. And don't worry. I know about the Post credit scene goes to that scene and it sharon carter and she is getting her pardon. The sam promised her and You know she walks out of the courtroom after that in She calls someone on the phone and she's telling them that they have. They will have access to start tech At their fingertips. So you know whatever happened with you. Know the powerbroker with you know losing the super soldier serum and that they're they're fixing to get more access to two more things. It's not going to be lost so but that's how that ends and and that's how our show ended and it was a good show. I mean i loved it I'm going to miss talking about this show every week but Like i said. I mean it feels like it's wrapped up so i i'm going to be satisfied with it if this is the end but you know if they come up with the season to watch that too and i'm going to be covering it on this podcast so but I've got some news that i'm going to share in a new segment so.

"Abrash in the comics you certainly come to side with him in the face of evil similarly with kali though sam had a great speech very effective a one of the best written for the show. Did you gain sympathy for carly after death. I sent me did little bit little bit. Was sam you know. I think he he phrased so eloquently that he didn't have a problem with her goals. It was her methods. That was the problem the way she was out. He literally in fact she was misguided which is exactly the point and ray continuing is still viewed her evil in the way she didn't consider human life and in brackets. He says she indirectly even says battle stars. Life was pointless very influence. She was a little bit of a sociopath that regard so though i very much sided with sam when he told off the senators i couldn't find the same empathy sam had for carly i think arro- was written quite opened down in that sense. I think we're meant to feel disgust. Then have empathy for her but it was quite a difficult thing to balance. I guess that's the point though. Everything isn't necessarily black and white. Don't think that's that's the conclusion of the message. I haven't missed any now. I just want to make sure i have anything. They're going to cut you off ray. So no exact exactly. I'm just going to check you. Troll here are the hibbs exactly. That's right now we don't we. Don't edit anything whatsoever just checking out here we go okay. Kazaa empathy. No that's it yeah. He everything isn't necessarily black and white so okay so i just went to double check. Okay yeah well. Thank you ray for riding in very much. Yeah next time you can. It's you're okay to come through the front window front door instead of the back window. Like i said exactly we. You woke of your concern. We we definitely appreciate you listening. And watching the fan of the falcon of the worst soldier with us because this has been a ball you know and i really enjoyed it. I've really enjoyed talking with nick. And so if you wanna be like holly david ray write to us at fatal cast g. dot com that's phantasm cast at the g. Mail dot com where you find.

"That's why i think they purposely leave it nebulous as to which she has. That's why i think they may be. They chose not own that title. Because there's probably more to the story. I could be wrong a feeling as a reason why she didn't open these say like i am the say those that were those words. She's working with other people. So i wouldn't throw the out the window complete because maybe she is a front for somebody else. There still could be that. And hey i didn't own song and dance number so i do to make the point that you may be is not the big the big villain as immobile you have and dance number if you are the main business especially now after parents zebo right exactly because you got him dancing. You got agatha hawkeness singing. It'll song capacity together so you didn't have it. Was sharon all along. Yeah exactly but i have to band camp. She plays villain very well if that's what she's going to do. Because from the very sort of smiley almost very heroic you do see that doc this in her expressions in the way she does it she knows how to sell it yeah. It's a sign of good actress that she's to switch to go between the two of ohio savvy. Though i'm so happy to be back in america. God bless america. And i will destroy this country. She does it really well so she was. She used before. She got to the captain america movies. She wasn't this. Abc series cover. Vange i believe it was called okay. She shared it in that. Well no but. I think you know she was She was in the lead. So i'm guessing that she had to have that kind of range and she gives to us that here so if you know what. She does for lack of a better term. She does a little bit of mustache twirling a little bit at the end of that most credit scene but Yeah she's she's more than she's more than just a pretty face with expensive paintings in her apartment. You know and it's going to be interesting to see where they take this character because i'm guessing obviously we haven't seen the last of her eight makes it all the more fascinating i think for that reason made her a billion. Yeah so we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens. I what did you make of the scene where she kills patriach. I was kinda sad about that to be honest. Because i said i will miss you joe simplistic thank you for your service to you. And he was i. The guy only wanted a little bit more money you know. We will guide to take more times by previous rate. Yes i would actually be interesting to see what that was sure. It wasn't small potatoes ready and like there's no way i'm gonna pay you that money like that wasn't exactly the best contract negotiations are. Let's say the skills of negotiation and of the best friend. She kinda like please kick some more people and you know. Now give you okay. That's right but but an interesting thing about truck. I thought it was a good choice on the on the directors as well as he was the one who foots captain america and they didn't have signed fight any super soldiers which was very clever though..

"Little bit of continuity. I think and now we need carry skoglund directors. Hopefully that's what will happen. That would be nice right because it's like okay. You know. try out for six episodes. See how you do. And if it's well received enough we'll let you do the movie so that's right it. Lets her schedule for whatever. Reason is doesn't make her available but she should definitely be right at the very least anything else about captain america the winter soldier i this point i just won't captain america fool to get here soon. Yes i need this movie yesterday because what happens to save it bucky. I need to do this. I'm going to be keeping an eye on your blog chows because you always have your ear to the ground. It's like oh yes it's announced awesome. I can put it on my calendar. Exactly so give something new to look forward to. I like the fact that they like. We like i you know we were talking about last episode. That they might. That would a great place to do it right as at the end of the talking to wear soldier and sure enough. They did so. It's right gives us something to look forward to all right topic number two. Let's carly morgan. Saw in the flack smashers and sadly as we hypothesized last episode curly. Very unpleasant faith. She did and she. Apparently you know she was going through a head going ahead with plan to hold the jc hostage to stop this. Vote that what it said. Millions of refugees back to their countries is in She's at the point now after various experiences in her proceed views of betrayal that. She's perfectly willing to kill the hostages. She in much to the surprise of her own Neighbors in the flex measures. So what did you make a starting to drag their feet a little bit so they were and then it. Just kinda like oh really. We're we're killing hostages now or we're cool with that. So she was so she's kind like had a snap back in line after they kind of did a little side i about it but But macari carly excuse me is she. Yeah she's going all in here and much to you know everybody's attempts share and tries to talk her down other for her own reasons. It also save tries to talk down once.

"Where he's just he's descending from the sky and he's cradling carly's body in that kind of very like supergirl pose Death after the death of supergirl. Or maybe even batman with jason todd in the death in the family that carries the down. And like you said he was very in djelic and it was a just a gorgeous shot of really loved. I thought it was just amazing and lit so well. Maybe look there were maybe with some religious images almost of the virgin. Mary cradling jesus if you will. Because that's the kind of osa was letting that kind of most hallowed way. Yeah it was so beautiful. That's why recruiting almost like the joy descended within a church. That's right yeah you know. There's the the great lighting and you kind of wonder how that played on television because one of the things that we see is that you this is footage being shown around the world so this is sam's debut it is being televised and so You know you see. That's their their first reactions. And you know even Even isaiah bradley who this at home kind of taken a little more about it. Even even after all the criticism he gave save about how a black man will never be captain america here. It is at long last. Made man captain america. Because that's why. I say my almost have that almost black savior overtones will when it comes to that because of the weight slit and he's anjelica wings but it was beautiful this i say that's why i think Carries called green should definitely move onto other bigger projects because she definitely knows how to get a good shot. Yeah exactly so. Let's see what else say. They are so many things addressed. So what else t. The bucky One of the things. I liked about bucky. Was you talked about his reaction To seeing steve. Seeings me seeing sam. You'd have to get used to that. Right seeing sam as captain america so i like the fact that you know he kinda gave sam crap it first. He's like you know. I wasn't really hit listening your speech. All i heard was a black man. And a captain in the stars and stripes and then they kinda tuned out because you kind of have to hide his emotions. He can't just say you know. I love you is. This is his bromance. We talked about this. They can't just come out and say you awesome. You killed it but you notice. After he did that he had very. It was very subtle but he says great job cap or something and he could pats him on the shoulder so he called so he called in cab and that's major praises from bucky who seems to have the emotional reach of teaspoons get the winter soldier to note. That says a lot for you. I think and very much i think made to bucky. Think about stuff we see later on with addressing the thing with your worry with leaving the little package for his therapist. What did what did you make of that. Because you know. It's something that you expressed concern that you wanted to kinda see that. Come full circle because we hadn't seen Gyory since the first episode. I was so happy about that. Because as i've mentioned in an episode five samad said to made the whole point of view. Revenging you're not atoning for what you're doing and i think that really stuck with bucky and seeing him as captain america. I think it really gave him hope of. I really have to turn my life around..

"I've got nobody to love me anymore. Will he. There are a lot of question marks when it comes to bucky. I will say this because sam. It's we know where he's going to some extent bulky don't know unless we see them get together saying we need to assemble a team. Now i don't know i don't know it's hard to say but i love this so so much this surgery and it's like i'm gonna find a buddy cop shows at just let you and it was so cool to see these two guys take it on the world's hopefully they'll be like okay. We need to combat. Just you and me so i. I wonder what happens at this point. And what are you. Thoughts on on the eastern. Well you addressed a number of points. I have no idea where to start. Because i just went. I'm starting to think. Oh yeah. I'm going to talk about this that You came up with another point and then another point another point so so i gather you know. I i love your enthusiasm here. You really seem to have enjoyed this episode. i did kind out. it's definitely coming through very you're very upbeat and i really appreciate that I'm right there with you. Honestly there's there's a lot of things. I i'd love sam stepping into the role. He you know he's very commanding but he also what i what i love about. Sam here is that he appreciates the responsibility. He knows it you know were said he he realizes you know he's he's a black man being coming captain america so he realizes he's aware i guess that's the where he's aware that the world is watching him and already scrutinizing right from the start so he realizes that his new role comes with a lot of pressure. Oh yes and he addresses that right off the bat they look. Everybody's got their eyes on me right now and they're already making judgments about me right now but but he knows this going in and so You know he's probably getting you know you realize it's gonna be judge in the way that maybe steve rogers wouldn't.

"The end of the episode before this gorgeous because the series have been called obviously until the falcon aware soldier. So what better way to end on that. You know to have the title card. Now re captain. America in the word a soldier to reflect that. Sam wilson is now the new captain america. Exact so definitely wants it. So here's where we're gonna talk about. Salmon bucky air. Were also going to talk a lot of their various storylines so dick. What are your thoughts on our new captain. America in his first venture is well. Well first off by this i. I'm so happy that you know. He fully embraced it by the end of the show. As i suppose. It was very predictable. Yeah he did he did pick up the mantle and just seeing him in the costume. It was such a huge moment. I just wanted to stand up and cheer when that happened. Because i'm sure had this been shot in a movie theater folks who probably been cheering at this point when when shows up and and as i mentioned the fact of having the wings as well it's it's nice inc almost of iron man and captain america together because he has the technology but at the same time he's also got shields so they're almost like molding tech and patriotism into one character for the time being because of course they will be on the cactus coming along so we'll have to see who takes the mantle of iron man whether it will be i hearts but they go to that. Don't don't go over skis on this one because we'll get there. We'll get there exactly got to introduce her first right. That's right so let's not go down that road immediately. But i was so happy to see. And he owns this character from the olden the mantle from the get-go as soon as he shows up he's just treating people know that he is captain america. He's taking folks down and the fact that he doesn't have the serum. I think as even more potency of the whole thing because he actually addresses he might die the fact he's not he's not john walker or he's not steve rogers with the super soldier serum but i think that adds that extra own to the whole thing the he he is like the every man if you will so that's why he incorporates american sense it he really represents what is the best of the of america without needing enhancements and. I hope he doesn't get the super soldier serum to be honest. I like him this way. It's almost like batman if you will because batman doesn't have any sort of that he's rich that's about it that's his superpower power right but he has just basically a guy with gadgets. So that's why. I'm hoping they keep it with the with the same as one. I think it will stay that way. And also bucky. I think was just so pleased and happy you could see. Bucky was just like bucky white. Cry at one point because we're just so overjoyed to see that i think probably relieved. Finally you've decided to do this after we've been here six episodes and you finally decide. Decided bit he took on the fight. Was i really enjoyed the various pieces. We got all over the place. They were just. They were great. It was very well choreographed. It was entertaining and yeah it was very very happy with it. The i do wonder where bucky goes from here. Yeah that's my only question because it's kinda left on address. This is going to be a kind of drifta after his talk with you with your e is you're going to join a samagan saying you know..

"He you know he gets the a lot of the speechifying in this episode but but anthony mackie. I think more than handled that and did a great job with that material. I feel that he will be able to carry the next phase of the mcu. I'm going to go as far as saying. He's an ex captain america and i'd feel that he will be able to to carry it on this. What it takes is a situation where the psychic has. Now become the main hero. And i think anthony mackie's up for the job. So so what would it be very fun to see where he goes from here right. At least i think so. All right so trivia just got a couple of things. So if you're wondering. We're seeing. Wilson became captain america in the comics. Because this did happen to the comics for those who don't know he became captain america in captain america volume seven number. Twenty five which. I happen to have right here in my hot little heads for those of you out there podcast lane. Who can't see. And this one. During captain america's battle with the called the iron nail the super soldier serum within steve rogers body was neutralized which caused him to age rapidly. Matches chronological age of over ninety following an attack on new york from arms zola. Another captain america. Bad guy. Steve decided to appoint sam wilson as his successor. And sam served as captain america in the avengers. He was leading the avengers there for a while until the secret empire event where steve rogers youth was restored and he reclaimed the mantle of captain america yup and which he does still have today so so essentially it was a very temporary situation but But sam did make a very notable captain american again for those who can't see out their podcast late. I have a couple of comics right The all new captain. America comics series. That he headlined it. Also captain. America said wilson number. One is abso showed up at spiff cost you which i was very thankfully surprised. The tv series was extremely faithful toward. I was very happy to because i was thinking to myself on paper. It looks amazing. Look cheesy onscreen and it did not and the that so well and hey i guess the folks who have quite the sense of style because they did a great job. Well if you ever saw still surprised that you have a sense of style yes except overtime that one. I'm just saying i think so too. I mean what she did for her brother when the black panther suits than i think she probably had fun with this because it was more colorful wasn't just black and white or black and silver and here. It was like a little bit more colorful fish but we have fun. I get to do something a little bit. More than just monochrome question. How is did she give. Sneakers could be for sneaking.

"Be killed by the police. Go vague ear right in superheroes which in the marvel comics. Superheroes is reflecting the world outside your window because marvel likes to say. Hey you know. We're the convicts company that addresses these kinds of things where you know. That was one of their big slogans back in back in the day that staley liked to consider marvel the the world outside your window and so when when these tv shows these marvel comics tv shows. I might stress are doing that. I think that you kind of need to appreciate why that's happening. And if you do have a problem with it you need to. I think probably should do some self exploration about why you have that problem. I'm right with you. I do think some so searching required from these individuals who feel this way not to mention if you want. tv shows to be more sophisticated russia's the way you go if you just want to kind of ignorant dumb kind of series of people fighting yeah slice. Vela's slugfest exactly. How do you expect this genre to move forward to be recognized at a higher level if you don't su dress like this also. I didn't think they were particularly preachy. Either i've seen some breaches shows. Believe you me you and i actually to knock on tangent charles for you and i watched penny dreadful city of angels right and you felt that was excessively preachy. A little bit a little bit. I know that there's some criticism of supergirl because that's show can really get up on the soapbox down then blatantly so but here i mean this subject matter that was addressed. Here you know in this episode has been addressed throughout the previous episodes. Exactly it all. This is just a culmination of that. This is where it's brought to. Its climax in the story. And you know. A very transitional. Moment for sam wilson so. I don't really get you knew that going in. Why are you suddenly so upset about it. Now unless you're just upset that again that a black man is captain america. Now i as i mentioned. I just think it's people being bought sore about where everything's been happening..

"Yes so that was nice to have that little bit of continuity throughout all these episodes because they look great in thought. She did a great job at direction in this series. Oh so well paced charles this. It was amazing how quickly this episode possibly by in the sense that just the action packed there was emotion and everything was addressed and tied up so well. I take my hat off to this. Kind of finale. Didn't few clunky. It didn't drag on and you got a little bit of everything so definitely kudos to it just carries for room for sure. And hopefully you'll get more and more projects and bigger projects. 'cause now we've seen what she can do right so hopefully she will get more more work to do when it comes to the mc for sure nice if she got a certain movie yes which will talk about this. I'm so hoping they do give her that. I think that would be a nice little bit of continuity if she she took over the next captain america movie as we learned in going to happen so we told you so if you remember last week so seeing is she ushered in this new captain america. I think we'd be only fat disney to give this woman. Yeah johnston the movie. I think she proved it. I think she proved she can handle it so here. We are the final episode. What else was your general reaction to this. Because i gather you enjoy the finale. I thought you appreciate that wrapped up a lot of loose ends like you said yes. Was there anything else that your actions regarding this episode look. I don't think you could have done any better than this. Because i suppose you possibly could have done in a second post credit scene teasing future movie. That didn't happen. But i'm still satisfied because maybe unlike one division waited. Leave a lot hanging threads hanging out. It didn't really. It was may because some people can see it as a cop out. I think this was less of a cop out. In the sense it concluded the yard. It said here is where we're at. The objective was to be a coming of age. Show if you will or the next era and they accomplished that so there was nothing. I felt unsatisfied about the only thing that was unsatisfied. About was they were anymore episode. I'll happy about it. Chose did you have any nitpicks complaints. When he came to this finale. Though i mean i was trying to read some of the online reactions to this and unfortunately there's a segment in. I kinda knew this was coming given the subject matter in this particular episode. There's a there's a contingent that obviously hated the idea that this was this episode is bogged down in. What they they feel as he'll woke miss. It's the politics of everything in in trying to understand why people for whatever reason think that a hero named captain america wouldn't have any kind of political connection exactly it comes with the territory right right the name america..

"I was one of the first people to publicly come out and point the finger if you if if you will, at the right individuals who are responsible for this I understand that you invited Governor do see to your father's funeral. That is true. Why did you get any response? I said in the letter had confirmation deliveries, so I know somebody from his office received it. But I never received a response from the office or the governor himself. Why did you want him to come? Well, I mean, at that point, there was nearly 2000 people in Arizona who had passed and 1000 scents June 1st, which would have been two weeks after his executive order. Was lifted, and I wanted him to see you know what that meant with that policy era or what? That leadership error meant, Teo. You know, a family that he is supposed to protect and support. I understand that you've raised money from a go fund me. What's the plan for that? It's to support that organizing activity. The first, you know, bit of that was to pay for the costs of the funeral and then cover some of the outstanding, you know, bills that were left behind that. Above. And beyond that I want to sponsor obituaries for other people. One of the things that I've I've seen through the social media channels is so many people saying if I had the resource is I would've written an obituary like this. And it just shocked me. Tio realize that yes, Obituaries are expensive, and in particular, whenever this pandemic is disproportionately hitting people like my family, you know Mexican Americans. Who might not have, you know the best paying jobs. But you know our our kind of scraping by. I want to be able to support my community and bringing forward Their voices because it feels right now that no one is listening to them and those communities, they matter to me, and they matter to all of us. I mean, they're the folks that are still working right now and They deserve to have their stories. Told because their lives are being robbed is proportionately by this pandemic. Well, before that, you go. I mean, I don't want to lose sight of the fact that you just lost your dad and your mom just lost her husband. How are you two doing? It's hard. You know, this morning. I was just I just got back from Arizona to California and it's hitting me in a whole new way. I I told my partner Cristina, I can't look at the pick up truck. I'm not ready. I'm not ready to look at it. Andi also was overwhelmed with with grief. When I realized that, you know, my dad was so proud of being an organ donor. And I just realized for the first time this morning like Oh, my goodness. He was unable to be able to donate his organs, which is so what he wanted to be able to Dio. It's a huge loss, and I'm not sure if I'm ever going to get over it, but That's part of why I fight because I know it's what he deserved. And, um and I know it's what more people deserve as well. And so I do it to honor his legacy and and find a wayto to grieve. Do not grieve alone and and breathe for a bigger cause.
