U.S. Shortage Led Parents to Order European, Black Market Baby Formula
"There are large Facebook groups devoted to European formulas she writes where parents share spreadsheets and detailed notes on ingredients and how these formulas compare in their U.S. counterparts she notes This was written a year ago Some caregivers report choosing them because European brands offer certain formula options like those made from goat's milk Our mug from Pasteur from pasture raised cows Which are rare nonexistent in an FDA regulated form in the U.S. Other European brands because of the perception that the formulas are of a higher quality And that European formula regulations are stricter she wrote So on this sort of black market it turns out Americans are willing to pay big bucks for European formula Zelensky says that on one website selling EU baby formula you'll find German imports that run roughly $26 for a 400 gram box Which is about quadruple the price of the top U.S. baby formulas recommended by the times Now at times these nefarious black market imports have resulted in high profile busts like in April 2021 when U.S. customs and border protection agents in Philadelphia seized 588 cases of baby formula and valued at $30,000 that violated the FDA's quote import safety regulations So European babies are drinking this stuff left and right you see But our FDA won't allow these formulas into the United States Some may contend the FDA is simply keeping Americans and their babies safe which is no doubt what regulators want you to believe But this overlooks an inconvenient fact despite the FDA's efforts Americans are consuming vast amounts of black market baby formula and the children are doing just fine
FEE: How Government Created the Baby Formula Shortage
"There's a great site dot com to freedom based site It's a group that's been around since I was a kid It's been around a long long time And of course the propagandists like Buttigieg in the others are out there left and right but as they write here Christina now that's not her All right it cut off on my printer but let's get to the facts Few may realize if a baby formula is one of the most regulated food products in America You know who said that The New York Times Back in March 2021 Christina selenski writing in The New York Times said baby formula is one of the most tightly regulated through pilots in the U.S. With the Food and Drug Administration dictating the nutrients and vitamins and setting strict rules about how formulas produced packaged and labeled Well there's only four companies that do this Well now you know why It's so heavily regulated Nobody can really break into the market Despite these regulations more likely because of them many American parents buy an approved unapproved European formula even though New York Times reporters zelensky notes it's technically against the law There are large Facebook groups devoted to European formulas she writes where parents share spreadsheets and detailed notes on ingredients and how these formulas compare in their U.S. counterparts she notes This was written a year ago Some caregivers report choosing them because European brands offer certain formula options like those made from goat's milk Our mug from Pasteur from pasture raised cows Which are rare nonexistent in an FDA regulated form in the U.S. Other European brands because of the perception that the formulas are of a higher quality
Why the Weekend Shootings Are Man Made Terror
"The country didn't have a good weekend. Which is now almost normative. We live in difficult times. Nobody promised that they would only be easy times. The reason that it is angering to me is that it is all man-made. We had a gorgeous country with incredibly good relations among its various, almost infinite number of cultures, religions, races, ethnicities, nationalities, incredible prosperity, inexpensive items. Every single one of them has been destroyed to at least temporarily. I won't say permanently. By the left every single one. And it's the prices that people are paying, which matter nothing to the environmentalist fanatics. I don't recall a fanatical group of that size in my life in American history as the environmentalists. They will destroy anything for the sake of their 6 scenarios of existential death.
The Whitmer Kidnapping Defendant Who Was Trapped by the FBI
"The indefatigable Julie Kelly has tracked down one of the Whitmer kidnapping defendants. This is the guy who got off. He was exonerated because the jury realized that he had been entrapped by the FBI and Julie has an exclusive interview with this guy. His name is Brandon casar down. But and he's gone through a horrible two year ordeal. Involving losing his job involving incarceration. Of course, the familiar FBI raid, the kind of massive demonstration of power almost a shock and awe type of campaign. So Julie gives a little bit of background. She says that this fellow Brandon cassata was charged along with other defendants, 5 defendants, Adam Fox, Thai garden, Caleb Franks Barry Croft, and a guy named Daniel Harris. These are the people who were charged. Now, what the interview reveals is the sort of naivete of these guys and how they were targets of the FBI from the beginning. And by the beginning, I mean, before the plot was even hatched. That's what's so telling about it. So here's talking now to Julie. And he says, you know, I was kind of locked down under a COVID court. I was stuck in my apartment with most of my family out of state. I was just trying to find people to network with. So this is the COVID frustration and the anger, by the way, at the left and imposing these lockdowns, interestingly, that was a factor here in what got these guys to demonize Whitmer and think, oh yeah, it'd be kind of cool if we so these are big talkers, these are guys who buy and large have difficult lives with not a whole lot going on and they're looking for other like minded people who give them a sense of camaraderie. So what happens is this fellow brand in Casa goes online and in June, a leader of a group called the Wolverine Watchmen, a self styled kind of militia group, basically tells casar that they are inviting him to firearms training in Michigan. Firearm streams. This guy's like, yeah, in lockdown, I wanna get out of the house. Little does he know that this being organized by not a guy named quote big Dan. And guess who big Dan is? An FBI informant. He is in a sense cooking up the plot.
Rick Klein's Analysis of the Senate Midterm Elections
"And they know that the midterm election is coming. Here was ABC's Rick Klein talking to George Stephanopoulos yesterday on ABC's this week. Yeah, George, you know that they were in a tough spot when it comes to holding the House and Senate. But when you look at the Senate, it's a 50 50 Senate. It means Republicans only need to take one seat. But what's interesting is that not all the seats are up. Of course, only 35 Senate seats on the ballot and in that group that's 21 that are now held by Republicans 14 by Democrats. That means that Republicans have to play a lot more defense than they do the opportunities for offense. And when you zoom in a bit on the states that are likely to determine control of the Senate, these are the 9 states that are probably going to tell us who's going to be the majority and who's going to be in the minority. And 5 of them are controlled by Republicans only four by Democrats. That means if you're the Republicans, you've got to not only hold your seats, but then go on offense somewhere. That means picking up maybe an Arizona or a Georgia. Both states, of course, that went to the Democrats in 2020. Or you have to move into deeper blue territory and Nevada or a New Hampshire. That all assumes that the Democrats don't find any places of their own to pick up. And there's a couple of states that were carried by President Biden or were very close last time. They were targeting, including Pennsylvania, the primary on Tuesday, a spirited democratic fight, and an opportunity that Democrats see to win even in a very tough election cycle.
May 20: Expanded Release by Popular Demand of '2000 Mules'
"I've got some big news about 2000 meals, guys, so this Friday, may 20th. The movie is going to be in the theater. It's going back into the theater, but it's going back into the theater in a new way. The first time we were in the theater, we rented out theaters about 300 of them. And the movie showed for just two days on a 7 p.m. showing. And essentially what we did is we bought out the theater. We recovered some of our costs through by selling tickets. This is not like that. What happened is with the success of the movie, everyone talking about the movie. A lot of independent theaters began to call us. Hey, why can't we have this movie in the theater? And we were like, you know what? This is fantastic. A lot of our people love to see the movie in groups. Love to see it in the theater. In fact, we've been bombarded with people trying to organize groups. Hey, how do we organize a group showing? And of course, organizing a group showing both privately or in theaters really difficult. Because if you're doing it privately, how do you get the acoustics to work? If you're doing it with a theater, you got to negotiate with that theater manager. It becomes an unbelievably complex operation. So this is wonderful. This Friday, may 20th, about 400 theaters are going to open 2000 meals as a normal release and what I mean by that is for showings a day. And this is not a case where you have to go at 7 p.m.. You can go whenever you want, and you buy tickets also the normal way. So what you do is you go to our website, which is 2000 meals dot com, and it will connect you to the ticket buying sites like Adam or Fandango, there are a couple of others. And then when you go to Fandango, you sort of search the local theater near you, it'll pop right up. You buy tickets and this is a way. So you don't need now to organize special screenings per se, just organize you and your friends, organize you and your women's Republican group. You can kind of go as a group and you can see it in the theater, starting this Friday in a normal

Due Process Institute's Jason Pye and Doug Discuss the First Step Act
"Everybody, it's Doug Collins glad to have you back on the dog Collins podcast. You got a great friend coming back in today to be on the podcast Jason parr, due process institute. I've known him for many, many, many years that we go back from Georgia politics to D.C. politics everywhere in between. But I wanted to bring Jason back in to like a lot going on in the D.C. front and it's not just in legislation, but it's also in its election cycle. You probably will realize that watch list of this podcast Washington podcast went on. Election cycles tend to make politicians do sort of different things. And it's a lot of pressure going on. And I'm not criticizing that. I've been a part of and a lot of part of it. You have to sort of find what works is a guy who's worked with my campaigns consulted for me forever. Chip Lake says, he says elections can be about everything you want them to be. But at the end of the day, the voters have a say in what actually goes on. And that's true. But one of the areas that is so important that I wanted to bring Jason back in because I do a lot of work off podcast with this issue and that's criminal justice and criminal justice reform and Jason has been at the heart of that for a while. I work with the folks at justice action network. You've got a lot of groups out there that do this kind of work. But we're seeing some progress we're seeing some steps back and then what I want to talk to Jason about today is this idea that I saw a Republicans moving forward in what should be a really conservative issue combined with and they seem to be taking some steps back. So Jason Powell, welcome back to the dot com. Thanks for having me. It's good to see you as always. And that's a good time. I was going to say everything you're talking about in terms of criminal justice there are things that Republicans should be running on should be proudly proclaiming and your work on the first step act in Congress. You should wear as a badge of honor. And unfortunately, Republicans are going towards this tough on crime rhetoric that was so prevalent in the 1980s and 1990s. It's frustrating. Well, it is. And I think that's the part now. I wrote an op-ed a couple of weeks ago. We put it out and it was really hitting at that, you know, the whole idea

David Gergen on Running the Nixon Speech Writing Team
"You know, when you came back, when you came back in the speech writing process when I was a young lawyer, it was staffed around. I remember the chief justice of the United States at that time in associate council, arguing with Peggy noonan. That was a murderous row of speechwriters over which we had Bill sapphire and Ray Price and Pat Buchanan. And Nixon. Yeah, and then John McLaughlin came in for a lead in the game with Nixon, but he was around for a while. Ben Stein. It was a terrific group. It was about 50 people. If you look at speechwriting and their sports staff and then the research staff and then we also headed the letters and so correspondent section. So it was about 50 people there. And I ran that for a while.
The BEST Pro-Life Arguments Around With Seth Gruber
"There is this kind of raging debate around abortion in our country. It shouldn't be much of a debate. And let's just kind of start at the basics, which is for a listener right now who might be agnostic on it without knowledge or just kind of people can make whatever decision as they see fit. What's wrong with that perspective? Why should a listener the Charlie Kirk show care about life? Yeah. Amen. I gave a talk to a Republican women's group recently in Simi Valley about why conservatives actually have to be pro life if you want to call yourself a conservative. And our founders said we hold these truths to be self evident, right? The translation for that for gen zers is duh. You know, we hold these truths to be done. This is obvious. It's axiomatic that we're endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights. And of course, he put the right to life first. And Reagan talked about this at length in his book abortion and the conscience of a nation. Reagan, former governor of California used to be pro choice. And actually had some blood on his hands because of some bad bills. Yeah, he did. And doctor Mildred Jefferson, the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School who started the national right to life committee. Once gave a defense of the pro life position, so persuasively on TV, Reagan watched it, wrote her a letter and said that he had become pro life because of her presentation. And he wrote his book abortion and the conscience of a nation. And he makes his point, I think, to your question about why life is the most fundamental right and why we as conservatives need to get that right right. He says that Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free country, as long as some men could decide that others are not fit to be free. And should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we can not survive as a free land today, as long as some men can decide that others are not fit to live. And should therefore be abandoned to abortion and infanticide. So there is no cause more important than affirming than the transcendent right to life of all human beings. The right without which no other rights have any

Amanda ray, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Good morning, Andrew. Well, good morning to you as well. And you're in the Phoenix area. You are, you have chosen to take a bold stand and to fight back, we just had this story that broke this morning that despite assurances from Merrick Garland that parents were not being surveilled. They were not being labeled domestic terrorists or under investigation by the FBI for opposing such things as mandates. We now know that's not true. There's a whistleblower who has come forward and has shared that information with Jim Jordan, congressman Jim Jordan. Out of Ohio, we now know that that's actually happened in dozens of cases. You are a mom that's fighting back. It's very public. There was a whole press conference last week. You were joined by Dylan law group and Charlie Kirk was standing behind you as well. As well, what's going on here? Are you worried that you're on a watch list? You know, at this point, hearing this news, it's shocking, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised. It's amazing to me that what started in August of 2020 when we were just going to board meetings and asking for in person education for our children and to prioritize kids when we knew that they weren't at risk for COVID. We were met with such resistance and come to find out we were being surveilled by a school board member, his father, and there's even evidence that they were colluding with the school district in order to monitor our social media and to track our comments. And appearances aren't everything, but I don't really fit the bill of a domestic terrorist. I don't have a parking ticket on my record. So to be, it sounds outlandish, but I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere there's a tag on me
Corp. Media Has Been Silencing Alternative Views to Transgender Craze
"Meanwhile Casey points out there have been silencing alternative views Corporate media have recently permitted only a select group of persons to express heavily caveat concerns about this massive social shift in April The Washington Post featured an op-ed by trans person Corinna Khan It was given the freedom to explain that the destruction of his privates introduced a different type of bondage in that sense of surgery he's become a medical patient and will remain one for the rest of his life Washington Post even gave him permission to bemoan the distorting influences of social media on teenagers and how readily authority figures facilitate transition Missing so far in the media's patently biased and circumscribed I said careful with the words Willingness to acknowledge that perhaps this is more than just the utopian realization of the sexual revolution It's the mission of their complicity and facilitating this reality Social pressure works media propaganda work And now all of a sudden more and more people identify With the LGBT Well I don't even know what to call it The anything goes crowd In everything goes crime

"Demands for action, many companies have pledged to improve racial equality. In the past, companies have used the so called business case for diversity to instigate action. But should they have to hear to tell us why it's time to stop framing diversity around a business case is Laura Morgan Roberts, a professor at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and the coeditor of race work and leadership, New perspectives on the black experience, So let's start with the you know the whole premises to stop framing the decision to increase racial diversity around The economic reasons or the business case. Tell us about the problems with the what's in it for me mentality. When we're talking about what's in it for me and was in it for you, then that gives the possibility to you know, strengthened the resource cool and the set of opportunities for all of us. I've become more of a mutual collaborative XT ain It's a question of what's in it for me when it's instrumental can lead us down a path of exploitation, and that's where we have been for far too long in the history of race relations in our world. You've been about what's in it for one group in terms of maximizing the best entrance and the access to resources for one group with Ah, lack of equal consideration. No regard for the condition of life and access to resources for the other group. And in this case, we're talking about black workers. Black laborers Having been exploited for a very long time, and not having the same opportunities or reward of resource is for the work that they're doing is what you call the bias status quo. Always more profitable. Tobias Attica was more profitable as long as a stakeholder except the bias status quo. Now, when the key stakeholders decides that Tobias set a flow is no longer Palatable for them, and they will put back against organizations that is solutions that operating on that by a paradigm. So when consumers boycott and say that they will no longer use product, the service is that Are built upon the serial type, so the labor exploitation of black and brown people, then that bias that is slow is no longer profitable. So you point out in your column that it doesn't prepare leaders to make difficult moral decisions that may alienate some explain that it was right. What would prepare leaders to do that? Yeah. The whole world decisions requires sophisticated analysis, tradeoff conversations in business audiences around live costs and benefits around the investment. On then forecasting there. Be fun on that investment, so to make a calculated moral decision means that you're going to take a stand for the greater good with the knowledge and understanding that it will cost you something. Ah, in the long run, you believe that there will be positive externality, but those positive personality maybe in the realm of justice. Value. The linemen broader social good, and those air, this type of benefits that can be immediately captured on a quarterly balance sheets. So how do you get companies who owe their first allegiance to shareholders to make these kinds of difficult decisions to not consider? The economic argument. The first piece of the conversation is sort of disentangling. What is the possibility through the shareholder? Is it to generate a positive turn on 1/4 by quarter balance sheet? Is it to ensure that the business remain viable and generous is into the future and that the future that's available for all of us is one in which we can all ride. You know that longer term or broader perspective around value add, I think is one important piece of the puzzle Me and the second is yes. The importance of Any leader, acting with a sense of moral conviction or secretary about the right thing to do you know, all leaders have their personal mission and their cause and You know they're they're set of initiatives and efforts that I think are worthy of their time and the organisation's resources so this conversation is simply saying. Leslie racial justice on that agenda. I guess I'm saying many leaders have already made the statement. And so they now have a responsibility to all of their stakeholders who live up to that commitment that they have found Laura Thanks.
