Yeah, I won't watch. I don't know if I'm not interested in the other ones. Yeah, sure. Sure. Yeah. So in your life, who would you say is the biggest social media influencer for you? What animal do you maybe even follow? You know what? I'm not a follower. In fact, no. And I like watching both cat and dog videos. So I don't really hone in on a certain animal and like follow that particular animal. I'm kind of like, I watch them all. Have you ever seen, I'm going to hold up a picture here. Have you ever seen this animal here? This is, this is Loki. I hadn't seen Loki. Again, I don't follow any certain animals if I happen to come across a video, but I don't, I don't, I, yeah. He's beautiful. Loki is, what kind of dog is Loki? He's like some kind of a Malamute wolf hybrid. Like a wolf. I'm not quite sure. He's a big dog. This particular picture that I'm holding up to the microphone is Loki and his guardian, Kelly. They're sitting in a hammock. You may have seen this picture. It's a picture that he just casually posted on his Instagram page. And then, uh, the people over at Bored Panda saw it, wanted to do an interview with him. Buzzfeed picked it up. Eventually he realized that his dog was becoming extremely popular online. And he decided after about a year after this picture went out to quit his job and focus on promoting his animal online to become a social media sensation. We're going to find out how he's doing on that and whether or not we should quit our jobs to become ladybugs. Yeah. Well, she has a Facebook page. It's not very popular. Maybe she needs to post more. Well, I just, you know, everybody go to her Facebook page and like her right now. So we're going to talk to this Kelly Lund coming up here. I do know that Delta or American Airlines just banned service animals that happened to be pit bulls. I do know that in Denver it is illegal to have a pit bull. That's just wrong. That is wrong. I bet Fiona has a bone to pick with Delta Airlines. I'm guessing that. Or her dog does. Okay, we're going to find out about her service dog, her pit bull coming up here on Animal Radio. Lori, what are you working on for this hour? You were just a minute ago Hal talking about social media and Loki and everything. Well, I have for you a new list from Forbes. They did, I love this word influencers because I had never really heard of it before. I just thought, you're famous on social media. If you're famous on social media, you're an influencer. So Forbes had this edition where they had the top 10 people influencers, the top 10 chef influencers and on and on with everything. And they did a list on pets. So pets on social media. So I will tell you the most famous pets or influencers on social media. When Forbes is involved, there must be money involved. Of course. Okay. That list on the way. First year calls. Let's go to Wanda. Hi Wanda. Hi. How are you doing? Very good. I have the whole dream team here to answer your questions. What's going on with your pets? Okay. I have Dachshund miniature pincher mix. She's having skin problems. I switched vets like four times and they always said that it's yeast, airborne yeast. And they give her shots and she goes okay for two weeks. But then they give her prednisone. That makes her eat a lot. She still eating and she still have the yeast and she still have the smell. Okay. Yeah. I don't know what to do. So has she had any money in the beds? Okay. And have we used any medicine that specifically geared towards the yeast, either by a pill form or by a shampoo or a topical form? Well, they give me Mariset. Okay. And I have to bathe her every other day, but sometimes I can tell you the truth. I don't have time and it's cold and she gets very cold. I'll give her a bath every other day. Okay. And is that it or are they using any pills for that other than the prednisone? No. They give me Apoquel. Apoquel, she still eating and then the doctor say I will then give her Benadryl. Okay. So I'm going to kind of make some interpretations of what you've said and what I think may be the direction that your veterinarian is going here. So if your pet has yeast on the skin, the important thing to know about that is that yeast is generally not the primary problem. It's a secondary problem. So there's usually something else that's making that skin barrier unhealthy where the yeast can really grow and proliferate. So if they're using things like prednisone and Apoquel, it sounds like they're suspicious that she has an underlying allergy. So those medicines are geared towards the allergy. But the sad thing is if we use that and don't address infection and treat it with the medications for those conditions, we're really not going to get anywhere. So we're going to think that, you know, the medicine isn't working for allergies when we're really just not treating a bacterial infection or say a yeast infection that could be present. So what my consideration, and I'd ask you to talk to your veterinarian if this seems fair and like a direction that they would agree with, is that if we have yeast in the skin and it's chronic, especially if it creates some of the different symptoms I see with yeast, and I should mention those, yeast in the skin will often cause a really stinky foot odor. It smells like old man foot. I have to wash my bed and everything every day. Yeah. So it's a real strong smell. The dogs will often have kind of a greasy feel to them in those areas. And in some cases when it's present for chronic long -term periods of time, we'll actually get a thickening of the skin and it'll become kind of darkly pigmented and what almost I describe as elephantinized. So it kind of becomes like elephant skin. She had that in her tail, but then I gave her and gave and went away. Okay. So yeah, so that definitely, if those kinds of things are going on, then yeast is very suspicious. We usually confirm that by taking a sample from the skin and looking and you know, yeast show up pretty easy on an impression smear. So the thing I would ask you to talk to your veterinarian about is, can we use something systemic for her, for this yeast? And that might mean a couple different possible medicines, but they basically all fall under the category of an antifungal medicine, such as ketoconazole or itraconazole, or even one called terbenafene. Any of those are used with yeast infections, whether it be in the ears or say in the skin. So that would be something, and it does take a long period of time. We might get some improvement after maybe a week or two, but many times this is something that we have to treat for many weeks to months. So that would be something where, you know, I would definitely talk to them about that. The other thing is, you know, definitely the maliceb that you're using is certainly an appropriate one if we're suspicious of yeast, but there can be even some other things that we can use topically as well, as far as different types of mousses or sprays that we can use that contain either say chlorhexidine, which is a type of an antiseptic, or miconazole, which is an anti -yeast topical. So those can be things that we can add into the regimen. But I think the good thing in your situation is there is some things that I can suggest for you to try, and the big thing is sticking with it, because it really does take, I had just like a bald, kind of darkly skinned, very little hair. It only had hair on the tip of its tail and around its head, and it took four months of yeast therapy that we treated, and it finally got most of its hair back. It never did get all of it back, because it was so scarred, but it can really be very rewarding. You just kind of have to trek through it. So yeah, with her, she's black. When people see her and they tell me, why are you taking it? Because her top hair of her body is black, shiny, so pretty. It's just under the legs, on her stomach, at her four paws, and under the tail. You know, they don't have it, she doesn't have it anyplace else. And I bathe her, I bathe her, she's my baby. Yeah, well, and yeast is horribly itchy. Any human knows that. So it's a miserable thing. So definitely, and even some other kind of anti -itch remedies, you know, that we can use. I am using a lot of the canine atopic dermatitis immunoglobulin called CADI, and that helps a lot just to kind of stop the itch, to give pets relief while we're dealing with all the other things. Yes, I don't want to bite. I know that the steroids, they're going to hurt her a long time. And I say, what I'm giving to her is she's not going to be improving. That's why I hear you every morning. And I say on Sundays, and I say, I'm going to call because maybe I can go to the vet with some knowledge and say, hey, give me the yeast infection medication, take her away from the prednisone. Absolutely. And that makes it harder. The prednisone definitely makes it harder for her to fight these infections. So if we use it sparingly, just to kind of help relieve it, and then yeah, get her off that. I agree totally. So she needs to go to the vet and ask for something systematic. Is that right? Systemic. Systemic. A systemic and a yeast medicine. Yes, a yeast medicine. I will do that. Hopefully we can get her some good help and I wish you guys the best. The two I want to focus on are these right here. The Power of the Mint Act, and then also the CBDC Anti -Surveillance State Act. These were the two that were focused on primarily. And I want to go to an intro clip real quick to give you kind of a framework of how this all started there in D .C. Listen in. Today we'll consider a slate of legislation to bolster our national security, protect Americans' financial privacy, and shield our financial system from the risks associated with the potential central bank digital currency, or CBDC. Unlike decentralized cryptocurrencies, a central bank digital currency is a digital form of sovereign currency that is designed and issued by a government and transacts on a digital ledger that is controlled by that government. If not designed to emulate cash, could give the federal government the ability to surveil and restrict Americans' transactions. This is not just alarming, it's downright un -American. We've already seen examples of governments weaponizing their financial system against their citizens in China. We need to counter China by being the best version of ourselves. This bill expresses that sentiment that, yes, we're going to innovate and we're going to lead on blockchain and we're going to lead on digital assets, but we're going to do so the American way. And the way we do that is decentralized. We don't do this by centralizing it in a central bank. We can achieve the innovation potential of blockchain and the immediacy of payments and the frictionless payments future with what we did in July. And that is to create a regulatory framework for stablecoin. All right, so there's some fire in the belly of the lawmakers. I like what I'm hearing so far. This sounds pretty good. But we get into more. And remember, there's always a bad guy. So let's go, maybe girl, we'll go to the next clip with Maxine Waters. Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman. Unfortunately, Republicans are marking up one bill that is not bipartisan. We do know that 130 countries around the world are racing to develop and implement a CBDC. What will happen if CBDCs issued by other central banks gain traction as a preferred method of payment in international trade transactions? Are we comfortable allowing the Chinese yuan or currencies from other countries to overtake the U .S. dollar as a principal global reserve currency? Republicans are making baseless attacks against the CBDC that does not even exist. So with that, I yield back the balance of my time. All right, so Maxine in rare form, I shouldn't say rare, normal form with her. She's, of course, for the idea of CBDCs. The other thing, a lot of what she said could be applied to stablecoins. And what we're seeing around the world, this is the first time I think we are chasing other governments who are actually trying to suppress their citizens. I would kind of be in a position or the camp of not going that direction. I like what I'm hearing so far. But let's go into our next clip. This is going to be Mr. Sherman listening. And allowing the Federal Reserve to continue doing what they're doing, literally recruiting and hiring people in the San Francisco Fed office to build a central bank digital currency is the financial equivalent of allowing the empire from Star Wars to build the Death Star so long as they promise not to turn it on. I'm struck by the hypocrisy of the advocates of cryptocurrency. They come in and they say cryptocurrency is wonderful because it's digital and it's high tech and it's innovative. And then they propose a bill which, in the words of the ranking member, is an anti -innovation bill. And they describe the U .S. government as Darth Vader. They describe any attempt to enforce American laws as the action of Darth Vader in the empire. As Sam Bankman -Fried has demonstrated, crypto is perfect for hiding from your creditors. And while his body may be in jail, his money cannot be found. I yield back. General McNeil's back. Thank you. I just have some, you know, obviously I'm opposed to this bill, but I just want to know what I'm arguing against. All right. You can't make this stuff. What am I going against? I don't even know what I'm going against. All right. Well, the point is, is that Sherman's usually in that kind of position. Anti -innovation. I thought that was a rare little piece right there. Both these guys are going to go against anything that I think the Republicans or even to a certain extent, the bipartisan Capitol Hill lawmakers will go when it comes to crypto or anything that is even related to blockchain. Let's get into our next clip. This goes into a little bit more about the unbanked. Listen in. And the idea that this is somehow going to help the unbanked is insane. Because when you ask the unbanked, why are you unbanked? A lot of it is because of surveillance capitalism. A permissionless system would be something more similar to Bitcoin. You could digitize it. And frankly, that's why a lot of people have been drawn in the unbanked and underbanked community to crypto currencies like Bitcoin. I think one of the speakers for this bill said that people aren't banked because they oppose the quote surveillance state. People aren't banked because they don't have any money. It's amazing. The people who aren't banked are the people who don't have any money. I'd be willing to support this bill if it also ended crypto. Well, that's an interesting statement there. When you go to the FDIC site, this is the 2021 FDIC national survey of unbanked and underbanked households. Look at some of the data here on this. An estimated four and a half percent of U .S. household, approximately 5 .9 million were unbanked. This is 2021. OK, likelihood of this is much greater. Remember, we have a lot of immigrants in our country that in many cases also are coming from countries who they've seen their banking system maybe not work out so well for them. And they are very, very skeptical because of that. Some don't have enough money to meet minimum balance requirements, as cited, but around 21 percent. But most don't trust banks. This was the second most cited main reason for not having an account. Avoiding a bank gives more privacy was the third most cited main reason, 8 .4 percent. Further into the report, this was a piece right here. Who are the unbanked and underbanked breaking this out? Most is distrust of banks, inconvenient locations, high bank account fees, needed products and services are not offered by banks, poor credit history, you know, check system, etc. Typical challenges I think a lot of people in the unbanked sector face. Let's go to our next clip. I think this is a good one right here. This gets into the privacy side of things. I think there's what 2000 stable coins that are out there right now. None of them, none of them protects the security of American citizens privacy. And when an American citizen puts all their information out in the private sector and it's available to 200 different retailers and banks and and other governments, there is no expectation of privacy. That's our problem here. Some of my colleagues gloss over the fact the whole reason they're collecting the data in the first place is the government makes them collect it. Frankly, if you don't agree to spy on your customers, you don't get to operate a bank in the United States. You don't get to operate a money service business in the United States, essentially get permission from the government to act as a financial services institution. So long as you spy on your customers. About million 350 pieces of evidence sitting over at the Treasury on private sector activity, these giant, enormous government databases, which have been hacked, both the IRS and others, Office of Personnel Management and others do present tremendous targeting by bad actors. You know, this is really where it gets into the destruction of personal privacy. And this is the problem that we do face in our society. Some of the countries that are already down this slippery slope, countries like China, as an example, right here, China's central bank digital currency. This is the digital ID to deduct fines instantly from your digital wallet if you're caught for speeding or jaywalking by a surveillance system. So right there, this kind of shows the actual crime of jaywalking now portrayed on basically a bulletin board in front of everyone. And then, of course, automatically deducted. These are the kind of invasion capabilities. Talk about, you know, search and seizure. This is going to be able to break down the walls of search and seizure and do things within our own economies and within our own society that we would never dream of, especially around the Constitution. This is China right here. Super SIM cards now featuring new digital yuan functions is this super SIM card right here. It's going to function as a digital yuan wallet, smart card and I .D. cards as the nation's CBDC pilot continues. So this is going on to phones and will make its way into a position where you can no longer utilize because you have digital wallet. Now your wallet and you're going to be able to use this in a way in which you go to a grocery store, you go to any retailer and you use that as a payment for form. And that's where they can lock it down. And that's exactly what I think these lawmakers are fighting against. Let's go to our next clip. This will continue to show you a little bit more about this slippery slope of privacy. Look at my uncle and my cousin helped me get a cell phone that is linked to a Chinese bank card so that I could buy anything pleasing and I have to pass facial recognition identity verification, which is insane, because all I want to do is just spend my gift card balance on this debit.

no choice but to ally with the state and they were in order to survive but with Bitcoin can't be stopped and because it can't be stopped it creates a forcing function in the long term as more and more individuals choose to opt out of inflationary money into deflationary money so yes of course times are changing but it's not only on the money front right we're not only living through the disintermediation of money but we're also living through the disintermediation of information and yesterday was a historic day I've never seen this in my life the UK Parliament sent Russell Brand an lean this way to Bitcoin or death we are not exaggerating and you have to choose what world do you want to live in in the future and most importantly what world do you want the future generations your United Nations talking about how we are in an information war we played you guys the video and she was basically recommending that that that they no longer have people to call on on Twitter to censor information she was also saying how there's an army of people that are propagating United Nations approved information well you know she's she's talking about as if the information that's coming out of the United Nations is a matter of fact right she's talking about the problem of disinformation disinformation well my question to you guys is who gets to decide what is disinformation and what is information right well we advocate for on simply Bitcoin is individuals not central planners not governments using their own critical thinking abilities right to dictate okay this is a good idea this is a bad idea right this is how the American this how the American Constitution it's literally written like that that there's a reason that the First Amendment is the way it is right the government or Congress should make no law you know basically censoring or stopping the freedom of the speech of people right and they made it that way for a reason because if there is a central authority if there's a government that gets to dictate what information is true what information is not true history has shown that they'll use that power to protect their own political mode right so thank God for the internet thank God for technologies like Bitcoin thank God for technologies like Noster for example they can't do this anymore and because they're not able to do that they're freaking out number one and number two and number two it becomes a forcing function over a long period of time but that doesn't stop them from trying here is the former New Zealand Prime Minister at the United Nations saying that that words are weapons of war right weapons of war if so if you say something against the government that all of a sudden becomes a weapon of war and again this has escalated it is escalated to the point where the UK Parliament has asked rumble to demonetize Russell Brand who's a very popular content creator who goes against the legacy corporate media's narratives right and it kind of embarrasses them so what are they doing they're attacking his money they're saying rumble okay they can't they've tried to deplatform people before they've gotten a lot of pushback so what they do instead is that they attack his pocketbook obviously YouTube complied they demonetize Russell Brand's content but rumble said no we're not doing that so love that of rumble we're on rumble we support rumble that's awesome but another thing that I want to say is that the allegations against rubble Russell Brand are just that they are allegations they have not been proven so something that has not been proven is a justification to shut off someone's living that is insane anyways let's check out this letter and this is a letter by part by the UK Parliament the specifically the cultural culture media and sport committee to the CEO of rumble Chris Palavoski who says dear Chris I'm writing concerning the serious allegations regarding Russell Brand in the context of of his being a content provider on rumble for more than 1 .4 million followers the cultural the culture media and sports committee is raising questions with the broadcasters and production companies who previously employed mr. brand to examine both the culture of the industry in the past and whether that culture still prevails today however we are also looking at his use of social media including on rumble where he issued his preemptive response to the accusations made against him by the Sunday Times and Channel 4 his dispatches while we recognize that rumble is not the creator of the content published published by mr. brand we are concerned that he may be able to profit from his content on the platform did you hear what they said the government is concerned that Russell Brand might be able to profit from his content because there was some allegations made against him conveniently a lot of Russell Brand's content is criticisms of the government so I mean big coincidence I guess you would you could say we would be grateful if you could confirm whether mr. brand is able to monetize his content including his videos relating to the serious accusations against him is so we would like to know whether rumble intends to join ryu tube in suspending mr. brand's ability to earn money on the platform we would also like to know what rumble is doing to ensure that creators are not able to use the platform to undermine to undermine the welfare of victims of inappropriate and potential potentially illegal behavior so they asked rumble to demonetize a content creator an independent content creator that's the key word when we had Parker Lewis on the show and I was talking about the legacy corporate media he didn't say no Nico it's not the legacy corporate media it's the legacy government media so anyways why is this happening I think Jeff Booth said this perfectly we read this to you guys the other day and this all boils down to the money this is why we say as Bitcoiners fix the money fix the world here's Jeff Booth he says because broken money Elon Musk said how did most of the legacy media go from superheroes of free speech to supervillains of speech suppression and Jeff Booth says because broken money ensures the centralization of power by stealing the productivity through inflation that should flow to society in the form of lower prices then those enriched by that theft and subsequent power must control the messaging to keep it but it all it wasn't only Jeff Booth that said this here's an article from our friends over at Bitcoin magazine of nine Bukele the president of the country shining on the hill the Savior El Salvador the first country that made Bitcoin legal tender the beachhead for the Bitcoin movement around the world he goes on to say the most vocal detractors the ones who are afraid and pressuring us to reverse our decision are the world's most powerful elites and the people who work or benefit from them they used to own everything and in a way they still do the media the banks the NGOs international organizations and almost all the governments and corporations in the world and with that of course they own the armies the loans the money supply the credit ratings the narrative the propaganda the factories of food supply they control international trade and international law but their most powerful weapon is their control of the truth and they're willing to fight lie smear destroy confiscate print and do whatever it takes to maintain and increase their control over the truth and everything and everyone I think come from Nico or simply Bitcoin that came from the president of El Salvador name Bukele so what is happening here two things are happening here thing number one the internet has empowered individuals and those individuals can now use the internet to uh to grow these massive platforms themselves and because they're individuals they're a lot harder to co -opt and at the same time we are witnessing the distance remediation of money that internet has allowed Bitcoin and Bitcoin has empowered individuals to choose their own money too so government states NGOs international institutions right that have had this privilege of having not only having the monopoly in the control over money but also the monopoly in the control over information it's quickly diminishing in front of their eyes and of course that system is fighting back they can't take that they've been used to operating in a system where they've been able to control the narrative they've been able to control the truth and that is slipping through their fingers and they don't know what to do and that's why they're short -circuiting the way they are that's why we've gotten to a point where the UK Parliament is literally asking a platform to D monetize an independent content creator not to mention all the stuff that was revealed during the Twitter files where it was exposed that the US government even though that is explicitly against the US Constitution the government should not be censoring speech was asking Twitter to D platform D boost and censor certain speech and these are the same governments that also want you to trust them with central bank digital currencies and they expect you to believe that they're not going to use central bank digital currencies as a weapon as a forcing function in order to control your actions as a individual and this was all predicted I might add in the book the sovereign individual which we'll get to during the new segment but this is some crazy times now what can you do to protect yourself in this particular situation do your own research pick what information sources you choose you you want to choose I love Twitter because it's like a news aggregator and the the news that you know pops up pops up Noster is a great platform rumbles a great platform YouTube is is good to do your own research don't rely on a single information source and then most importantly the most empowering thing you could do is to opt out of state money opt into Bitcoin I think that's the most powerful thing you could do look the most important the most important vote you can make that voting for a Democrat or guys when I grew up I had a saying and I'm sure your mother told it to you as well and we all probably said it in kindergarten you know sticks and stones but words may never hurt me and now we grow up in a world where words are violence like what is going on guys and that's a convenient it's a convenient way I know Nico I was getting there I'm asking rhetorical questions on the show now okay I'm learning some Nico Jones tactics but as we know guys as we know guys you know if you can stop words from being said then you can stop thought and if you can stop thought then you can ultimately stop behavior and this is where they're going they want to ensure that you guys sell censors so that you guys don't lose everything and this is where we are guys that they are absolutely afraid of people speaking the truth they're absolutely afraid of the average person waking up and exposing all of their lives because that's all they have they have lies and favors and they have the monopoly on truth as we think now is more important than ever to speak your minds to make sure you're having these conversations to as the saying goes you know speak truth to power and all that good stuff because there's been a constant theme throughout 2023 or actually rather since 2020 basically is that if your voice is too big and you talk against the establishment then the powers that be will do anything they can to put you back in line and whether that means you know breaking your reputation taking all your money dragging you through the court of public opinion we know what their tactics are and if you're following along closely then you know what the playbook is and it's almost like they're doing the same thing over and over and over again but I think the silver lining of this is that it seems like their playbook isn't working as well as it used to which in some sense should be absolutely terrifying because then they're going to go to even more extremes and you know I'm not gonna say what everyone's thinking but it's gonna get crazy guys and so I think it's just becoming very very clear that as an individual just even a normal person that doesn't have a platform like you want to do whatever you can in your power to protect yourself and hence why we always say that it always boils down to the money guys so protect your money protect your livelihood by taking your Bitcoin into self -custody by saving in Bitcoin and because remember guys this is always about theft they want to take your wealth and put you back in your place and then distribute it and make everyone feel good and we're seeing this happen in real time and it isn't lost on me that this is done via a letter you know it's just like hey how nefarious can a letter be but if you're reading in between the lines then you know how nefarious this letter actually is and that this is a coordinated attack on someone that's talking against the establishment and if people like Russell Brand you know say what you want about him but if people like him can't speak about the truth and they also get run through the grinder like imagine what would happen to an average individual like there's no hope for us if people of that stature can't talk about what's actually going on in the world and hence why it's so important to continue to double down on independent content creation spreading the truth talking about all this stuff because this is all we have we have the truth on our side and as the saying goes you know the truth will set us free so just just don't be afraid you know be brave but also be smart out there and the best thing you can do is just protect yourself and protect your money protect your family and I think as more people do this then the world will slowly but surely start to fix Mike Speraza in studio live today with a guest in the studio. I haven't had this in a long time. Staff Sergeant medal of honor recipient David Bellavia joining me for about a half hour today. David, thank you for joining us. Thank you for having me. I appreciate it. Absolutely. So I'm going to stick based on your background. I'm going to stick with a lot of military stuff today and I want to start, we'll go all the way back to the beginning of the Joe Biden presidency. The Afghanistan withdrawal, in my opinion, did not go very smoothly. I'm sure many people listening agree. What were your overall thoughts of that withdrawal and how it actually ended up happening? I know we lost, you know, sadly lost 13 soldiers in that, in that withdrawal. People say we went off the wrong air base. People say that we shouldn't have gone out in the middle of the summer. There was a lot of different things there. What were your overall thoughts on that? I think it's like the worst day in American history since Market Garden. Just absolutely. And the reason why it was so difficult was it was totally unnecessary. So let's rewind to the Obama trade, Bull Bergdahl and the three first round draft picks. They get Marshall, they get MacArthur and they get Patton that end up the resurgence of the Taliban. These men not just go back to the enemy, they go back to the battlefield. They're in power when the government falls. You have misinformation coming from the White House that the president of Afghanistan is leaving with billions of dollars on his plane, which wasn't true. And then you leave the equipment, the cash. There's no recovery. We're getting reports of sales of American equipment left in Afghanistan in Southeast Asia. We're moving material across the globe. Our children will fight and pay and have to atone for these miscalculations. Let's talk about that. You being in the military and you knowing that area too, why did they just find it the easiest way out to just say, you know, just leave that billion dollar billions of dollars of equipment there and not think, again, if it was me and I'm speaking that someone that's never been in the military, but if it's me and I'm the president, I'm thinking, OK, I don't want to leave all our weaponry there. I don't want to lose any of my men. Number two. And number three, I want to make sure that everybody knows when and how we're getting out of there. And it just felt like poof. One day they said we're getting out of here. Well, it's because the military didn't make any of those decisions. I mean, look, Millie, it can criticize him. You can criticize Secretary of Defense worthy of criticism. However, none of these individuals are making decisions. This is about NGOs on the ground. This is about the State Department. So you've got Bagram Air Base, the equivalent of JFK. You've got Karzai International Airport, the equivalent of Teterboro. Right. Why would you ever do an exfil out of Karzai International Airport? It makes absolutely no sense. It's tactically unsound. But and then you've got all the ISIS -K. We retaliate from the murder of 13 of our bravest and we drop a bomb on a guy delivering water. He's on our payroll and we kill children on that. Then we take out Borat on a tuk tuk driving around like that wasn't even really what was happening. It's just a den of lies. And Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan, all the heroes that brought us, you know, the Bergdahl deal, the Iran nuke deal. This is these. They the State Department is running all foreign policy, including what the DOD used to run. Well, that's I was going to say. I mean, I know Biden's the president, but do you blame him at all or is it everybody underneath him that, you know, maybe was giving him bad information? And again, some of these decisions, David, is Biden even involved in some of these decisions? Like, I don't even know anymore. Is he around? Is he paying attention to anything going on? Well, I mean, just from the press conferences, it was apparent he didn't know what was going on. And the great irony is that they actually were predicting that Ukraine was going to be invaded and, you know, no one believed them. So it's like you can't influence your friends. The allies don't trust you. The enemy doesn't respect you. You know, I mean, you've got Ben Rhodes is really proud of this State Department. Susan Rice loves what they're doing. But, you know, again, Americans died. And, you know, and what is the perfect culmination of the adventure in Afghanistan? Looking at your watch at Dover Air Base when bodies are coming home. I mean, nothing could you couldn't ask for a just it's it's a debacle. Yeah. And it's sad that that's that's the leader of our country there. Let's move in. You brought up the Ukraine there. So the Russia Ukraine conflict will get to Zelensky in a minute. He is as we speak in New York City right now. But so Trump's in office. We don't see many of these conflicts or any conflicts actually started under his watch. And then we have the Biden administration come in. And a year later, we have Russia invading Ukraine. Why did this happen and why? Why the timing of February of 2022? So let's go back to when we were fighting ISIS. Trump engaged and destroyed estimated some say 300 members of Wagner forces. But those were Russian nationals. We engaged. We destroyed them. What was the response from Putin? Nothing at all. So what do people in that section of the world, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, what do they respect? They respect power. They respect authority. You're not going to get any respect if you don't engage the enemy when they present themselves. I don't understand the calculus of again, I'm trying hard to figure it out. I don't get it. I don't. You know, Romania and Hungary and Poland, you're letting them unilaterally decide whether or not they want to send reinforcements into Ukraine. That's an act of war. If NATO members engage the enemy, all of NATO is engaged against the enemy. Poland doesn't unilaterally make that decision. Hungary and Romania don't unilaterally make that decision. We can't even articulate what the mission is. And if you look, go to the Institute for the Study of War, there's a plug for them. Check out their overlay from when the battle started, when the war started with Russia. And tell me what success this offensive in Ukraine has produced. I mean, let me ask this question, because I get confused. The answer is nothing. I asked this on Twitter, X, whatever it's called, all the time. What is the end game and how do we get there? Because all I see the answer is, hey, just blank checks. Hey, just write a check. Hey, here's a billion. Hey, here's 20 billion. Hey, here's another 10 billion. I don't actually see a look. I mean, like anything, right? If I write a business plan of what I want to do in 2024, my goal is X. I write down my steps to get X. I don't just write down X and say it's going to happen. I don't really know. And then the answer always is, well, we have to fight. We have to back Ukraine. Okay. But when does that end? Because the Afghanistan war and the war in Iraq lasted 20 years plus, right? And was there a real end to it? I don't know. That's where it gets frustrating for me, Dave, where I'm like, how do we know what the end game is? Do you win or lose? When does that happen? I don't know. I don't know. At least you're thinking about it. And I have fear that our leaders aren't, and that's the problem. So here's what this comes out. You're going to get a negotiated settlement out of Ukraine, right? But you talked about the billions of dollars that we're spending and giving to Ukraine as a blank check. First of all, Zelensky visited Ukrainian soldiers in the United States. Did you know that there were wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the United States? I did not know that. Well, today he visited them. So what's happening there? So that's a cost that no one is putting on the ledger. So now let's look at the blank check that Ukraine is getting. And by the way, I'm pro Ukraine. I want to fight communists all day and night. So let's punch Putin hard in the face. However, you're giving them a blank check and you're giving them munitions. Now here's the problem. We have to replace those munitions. Those munitions were purchased for 20 year global war and terror. And let's be honest, inflation is involved. So what you purchased for $10 is now $17. So you're not just giving them the money. You're giving them the equipment and the munitions that you have to replace yourself at the value of what is valued today. We haven't scratched the surface for the amount of money. CBO absent at the wheel. No one is tracking this. 2024 can't get here fast enough. How does this work, though, when you talk about some of these NATO nations coming together and making decisions, but us not just giving weaponry, giving everything money, whatever we're giving there? Is that not an act of war, too, though, David, at some point? We're continuing to fund Ukraine continuing the war in Ukraine. I mean, that to me seems like we're backing a war. Well, I mean, by the letter of the law and NATO charter, it's not. But here's the problem. It's schizophrenic because we were told that what was an offensive weapon was going to mitigate, you know, that wasn't going to help peace at all. So we went from, I don't know if they should get tracked vehicles to I'm not sure an artillery piece is what they need to high Mars rockets being launched. And let's be honest. I mean, the Ukrainians are I mean, the payload that they're going through, what you would have to have cataclysmic casualty numbers to be able to to the spandex that they're doing on the ground that they need to replace Patriot. If you're going through thirty five Patriot to, you know, missiles, I would expect to at least the C 20 makes that are shot down. They're using them for air artillery. They're using there for indirect fire. I don't know what they're doing, but this is going to end with Don Boss going to Russia. This is going to end with that land chain that Putin wanted through Crimea. And again, our friends in NATO, what are they even doing for Ukraine? What? Look, if you they said that Trump wanted to kill NATO, Biden did it. Right. Biden did it. And now Germany. And so Putin was selling oil at thirty dollars a barrel. What's it at ninety six? Yeah. He's making more money than he did before. And he's financing a war and killing innocent people. You mentioned before, too, and I think this is a good point. Everybody on the left and I'll say the media, the establishment, whoever you want to say, says that if you don't agree with the war in Ukraine, you're like pro Putin. Right. And that's just the most outrageous thing in the world, because I agree with you. I feel for the people of Ukraine. I don't want this for them. I don't want this for innocent people. However, at some point, the world's every every one of the world's problems can't be America's problem when we have a border crisis. And then I think they said yesterday ten thousand people came across. They got, I think, eight thousand of the ten thousand. But you see the numbers day over day. It's a problem. We have crime that's rampant. We have overdoses that are at record numbers. We have we have suicides at record numbers. At some point, we have to maybe just think about ourselves and not everybody else, because if we fall, sadly, I think the world falls at that point. Amen. The thing that I would add is I love the way the Ukraine refugee has been crowbarred into the migrant crisis in the United States. New York leaders from the city to all over Kathy Hochul, the governor of the state of New York, mentioning that, you know, like the Ukrainians in Poland, the the Polish have no intention to keep Ukrainians forever. That's a temporary you know, they're leaving a conflict to return to their country after the conflict is over. Again, this is just we're we're putting a round peg into a square hole and just hammering it away. But but there's no the media. There's you're our destroying military. I go to parents all the time around this country and ask them to give us their sons and daughters to join the military. And the one thing they bring up is Afghanistan. It's not about anything. It's Afghanistan. How are you going to assure us that you're going to maintain your commitment to our son and daughter when you betrayed us in Afghanistan that has lasting effects? And there's not a I'm trying to find a segment of our of our of our nation that's functioning. I don't know what it is. I saw in Chicago, they're going to have municipally owned grocery stores. Maybe that will figure it out there. Yeah, yeah, it's good. Real quick, do you think and we'll finish up on this topic, but do you think that they will we will ever have boots in the ground on Ukraine? I mean, I hope not, because I just don't know what the I mean, look at I'm I'm we're getting ready for China. We're trying to revolutionize everything. I don't know what the what the plan is. I mean, again, if you want to put a base in Ukraine, and you want to make that a sustainment operation going forward, that I here's the point. I don't understand what the inactive ready reserve call up was for. Why are you bringing those troops in the non combat support? Why are they going to Ukraine? What are you building infrastructure there? Here's what I do know. We're talking a minimum of $11 trillion to build Ukraine back. That is cataclysmic amounts of money. There isn't water, electricity, internet, you know, you want to help Ukraine. You're going to Russia is not paying for that if you negotiate a settlement. So I don't know what the plan is. But I hope we never see boots on the ground. I could guess what the plan is. I won't I won't say for sure. But I could guess that we'll be paying a chunk of that. And I do have one last one. So I did interview Colonel Douglas McGregor a few months back. And he talked about he's a real optimist. But he is really very, very bullish on Ukraine. Yes, very, very optimistic. I'm dropping some all over the place. But he brought up some staggering numbers, though. And even if they're half true, it's a problem. The amount of casualties and wounded soldiers on the Ukrainian side that we're not hearing about the media. I don't know if you agree with some of those numbers or not. But he's saying, I mean, it's people are acting as if this is an even war right now. And it's not even close. First of all, McGregor's a stud. I mean, he's an absolute, you know, that we're glad he's on our side. He's a military mind. I don't know if those numbers are accurate. I could tell you they're juxtaposed to almost everything we're hearing from every institution that we have, including a lot of our intel from Germany and England. But again, I don't know what to believe. So when you don't have when you don't have transparency, when you're not holding regular press conferences, when your Pentagon spokesman is now working in the White House and now you're getting a triple spin. I mean, the U .S. Open double backspin. You've gotten so many spins on the narrative. I don't know what to believe. But if he is even close to what is a segment of truth, you know, then look, Ukraine needs an investigation. There's a lot of investigations. We've got to start on Afghanistan. We were promised that by Speaker McCarthy. We need a hot wash on Afghanistan. And then we need to go to what who is oversighting the money that's going to Ukraine. And what have we got for our return on investment? Yeah, I'm not asking for much. Really, all I'm asking for in this conflict is can we just talk about what the end game is? And to your point, can we get an accounting of where the money's going and what's being spent in a real accounting of it? The Iran deal that just happened last week. First off, the fact that that was negotiated and completed on 11th September to me is just the ultimate slap in the face. But you again, you know more about this than I do. We do a five for five trade. OK, I'm going to use sports analogies. We trade five for five. And then we also approved of six billion dollars that apparently wasn't ours, but it was in a fund that now they can release to Iran. How are we winning on that one? Well, first of all, I was hoping that at least it was a digital transfer. The fact that it went as euros in cash through Qatar. And OK, so what happens the 24 hours after that deal is made? We're now getting issues in the West Bank. We're now hearing about issues in Yemen. We've now got Hezbollah that's reinforced. I mean, look, what do you think they're doing with cash? Right. What deal do you make where someone says, I'll bring a box of money to you? What do you it's this is a state sponsor of terrorism. They haven't changed. By the way, their president is now in New York City addressing the United Nations. This guy's killed 6500 of his own people. He admits to it. He killed the students that revolted and wanted democracy when we did nothing. He killed 5000 of his citizens in 1988. He's killed over 300 Americans. There's no accountability whatsoever. I don't understand what it is about Jake Sullivan and Tony Blinken that believe that Iran is a partner. All you've done 10 years ago, they were refining 10 percent of their oil. And now they're a force. Now they're working with Maduro in Venezuela, and they're a huge part of their members of of the international community. They're in good standing there. I don't get it. Does anyone believe that the Iran nuke deal? Look, we got hit with cruise missiles under Trump in Iraq. How did they have those cruise missiles? Those cruise missiles were illegal under the Obama nuke deal. So how are you refurbishing missiles in two years? Do we believe that their centrifuges have stopped? That they won't have a program if they don't have one already? No, I mean, I guess my question, David, is how I mean, I know that you pay a lot of attention to this stuff, but how do people like in the media not ask these questions? Right. I mean, these are legitimate. I mean, we just traded to I put this on my notes here. This is on the heels of trading a WNBA basketball player for the Merchant of Death like six months ago. Right. I mean, and again, I'm glad Americans are coming back to America. I don't want to sound pessimistic on that. That's great news. But we also I mean, this this stuff just seems like I don't care what side of the aisle you're on. It warrants questions, but nobody seems to care. I'm in the world that if you take hostages, we take hostages. You want to exchange people? We'll exchange people. You know, we definitely have the partners in the area to do that. For whatever reason, this administration, they're they're they're contrarians. They're contrarians to you know, they claim Bush and Cheney are their best friends, yet they just go 180 degrees from that doctrine. I don't know what the Biden doctrine is. I don't know what Bidenonomics is either, but I could tell you that they believe that Iran is a partner. Now, here's another thing. Our envoy to Iran not only is no longer the envoy, he doesn't have a security clearance. Does anyone curious at The New York Times as to what happened to the lead negotiator in Iran that is escorted off a bus, taken into American custody, given a job at Yale or Princeton or wherever he's working now? I've never heard of a person going from top secret classified negotiations to no clearance whatsoever and in the custody of American intelligence community. No one cares. No one cares at all. It's fascinating. And again, for me, I mean, these are big decisions that we're making. And correct me if I'm wrong, but it used to be, you know, maybe we did a two for five deal and then we made the six billion. Now we're like, we're giving stuff away and we're on the losing end. Correct me if I'm wrong, but America was never, you know, America losing. It was always America winning, right? America getting the best of deals. At least McDonald's has a five for five. We didn't even get that. You know what this does though? Honest to God, if you're thinking about traveling overseas, things go sideways, cartel, South America, Mexico, wherever you're going, you have a price in your head now. No one in their right mind is going to bring you back whether it's Haiti or wherever you are, you're worth $1 .25 billion. And thugs and scumbags are going to take advantage of that. I mean, that's a great point too. Do you think about leaving the country? I don't know anymore. That's a little bit concerning. I don't care where you're going, right? That's concerning. This one I just had to bring up because it happened two days ago or yesterday. How do we lose a plane? And I heard that's like a third one in the last six weeks that something like this has happened. How are we losing $80 million planes? Well, they're not $80 million anymore because they've got a new engine and all this other stuff. Look, the F -35 program is a complete disaster. You want to talk about why our allies think we're crazy. We sold them a plane. This program has been around since the early 90s and we've got nothing on return for it. So basically two planes are flying in a buddy team. They're doing training and a guy punches out. We don't even know why he punched out, but that plane could have easily hit a building. It didn't, thank God. But the wingman didn't follow where his buddy went. So what is he doing? He just kind of went on and did his own thing. And now the Marine Corps put a Facebook post like a dog is missing. We're expecting the Ukrainian farmers to carry the F -35 out with their tractors. I don't know what the point of it's wild. Look, stop embarrassing us. Just stop humiliating us. That's all I'm asking. Just be the army and the Marine Corps that we know our men and women are capable of being. Get out of their way. This gender garbage, this social experiment nonsense, stop humiliating our military. That's all I ask. Why can we not get the... I mean, I know why we can't get the answer, but I'm asking this to you. But why can't we, at a press conference at the White House, why can't we say, I want to talk to the guy that was in the other plane, or you can tell us the transcript of what happened when that happened. Talk to the guy who jumped out of the plane. Why did you do that? And again, I'm not trying to put our military on the spot, but these are kind of big questions to ask, right? I mean, if I do something in my business, I have to go face the music on that. Why doesn't everybody have to face music for their decisions or why things are happening? I think it's kind of important. Well, you don't want to talk to generals because they're going to tell you the truth and they won't be generals anymore. True. And you don't want to talk to enlisted people. Because look, I mean, let's be honest. How many people are... Is this a merit -based military anymore? Do we have a meritocracy? Are we promoting people based on pronouns? Go figure. When we're putting politics above military strength, accidents happen. We don't know the facts, but the fact that nobody cares about getting to the bottom of it, the day of the Pentagon paper reporters are gone. Yep. Yep. Let's just talk about the 2024 race quick, and then we will wrap up for today. So your thoughts on the Republican primary so far, I'll stay away from the Democratic side till the very end, but your thoughts on, you know, there's obviously Trump who is now in a, has a huge lead. Ron DeSantis seems to be crumbling underneath himself. Vivek Ramaswamy has jumped up in the polls. Nikki Haley's there. Tim Scott's there. A few others that probably aren't going to get a lot of votes. Chris Christie's the anti -Trump candidate. Mike Pence is, I don't know what Mike Pence is. I'm not really sure. Your thoughts about the whole field so far? I mean, look, it's impressive. They've got a deep bench. There's a lot of diversity. I, you know, none of it matters. Trump is the guy. The more you indict him, the more you empower him. You know, I'd like him to work on his communications a little bit better. You know, but if Trump is Trump, Trump is a Frankenstein monster of Barack Obama. As long as you have that faction, you're going to get, you know, Trump is going to be empowered. I just don't want to see Governor Noem anywhere near the White House. And I, if he's going to pick a running mate, you know, it's hard to find an ally here, you know. But it would be nice to find a governor. I don't want to take anyone from the Senate. I don't want to take anyone from the House with the margins that tight. But I mean, the idea that Governor Noem is being floated right now. I mean, I'd rather take North Dakota. Yeah. A little sled there. You know, it's funny you mentioned that because I saw a lot of that this weekend. I mean, can we just, for lack of a better term, keep it in our pants for about a year and then do what you got to do? It really is. I mean, every time you turn, somebody's doing something idiotic, whether it's Boebert. And again, I say this, David, a lot of people know who you are. A lot more know who you are than they'll ever know who I am. But when you go out in public into a movie theater like that, and I'm going to Boebert, not Noem for a second, you're, you're extremely well known. I don't care if it's dark or if it's as light as it is in the studio right now. What are you thinking? I, you know, she's, she's, she's an embarrassment. She is. She's bad, too. Who would have thought that Marjorie Taylor Greene would have been the, the oasis of the Maryland? I mean, seriously, I, again, you're, you're in Congress every day. You're out in public, you're on the job. You know, at least she wasn't wearing a hoodie, you know, that's all in shorts. She was at least dressed for the occasion, but I, it was, it's wildly embarrassing. Vaping, singing, whatever you're doing. Getting groped. Yes. Who is your VP candidate then? Because I think, you know, you have names thrown around. There's, there's, the vague has been thrown around in there. You know, Byron Donald's has been thrown around in there. Carrie Lake has. I don't know. I love Carrie Lake. I just don't know that Trump needs to go with somebody so divisive there. I think he's got to go with somebody that's, that's firm in their beliefs, but also not maybe going to turn off half the country. Well, you know, it's, it's impossible. One of the, one of the problems with making Trump, you know, the, the enemy of the state that the left has done is that you've really made it difficult for him to even put a cabinet together. You know, I mean, what are you going to do with it? You've got a lot of loyalists out there. You know, the vague is, is I think maybe the most intelligent dynamic candidate we've ever seen run for president, but experience does matter. But you know, I love the way he thinks. I love the movement. I don't know if he would even take the job to be honest with it. I don't think he needs it. But you look at a Tim Scott, I think Tim Scott is, you know, there's a whole lot to his message and I think he's, he's got the experience in the Senate, but honestly, you could literally take the Clint Eastwood chair and, and throw it in there as vice president. I'm going with that because this, this from top to bottom, we have to have seismic change in 24. Do you think he would ever choose Kristi Noem at this point with all that now? Yeah, no one knew Mike Pence was a, was a 24 hour story and then he was the vice president candidate. So who knows? I mean, a lot can happen between now and then, but I just, I don't need, you know, let's just pick people on their merit. Let's pick people that are ready to be the president. Imagine this, imagine picking a vice president that can lead the country. If something happens to a 75 year old president, you know, like Kamala Harris. Yeah. Someone like that.

A highlight from 1261. Fed Meeting vs. Crypto LIVE | Jerome Powell + Inflation Sentiment Analysis
"All right, so welcome in everybody to the live stream today. We'll be breaking down the FOMC meeting and also talk a little bit about what Chair Powell has decided to do along with the Board of Governors and break down all that, what kind of implications this might have on the market for you. It's going to be a good one. My name is Paul Beyer and welcome back in the Tech Path. All right, so joining, of course, today we will be doing our normal live stream where we air the Fed meeting. And it's not necessarily the meeting, but it's the remarks. It's the press conference after the meeting, which obviously we've got news in now that there is no rate hike. So whether you think that's a good thing or a bad thing, I think the key here is that the Fed has continued to hold this position of softening now is and can they navigate a soft landing is the real question. I think this is going to be the one that we'll have going into this. We're probably going to take, I think we may take some questions. It depends on how long Chair Powell talks. So make sure and drop some of those over on the side. And if this is your first time here on the channel, all I would ask is that you subscribe. Just to let you guys know, so when the Fed meets every month to every two months, depending on the on the period of time, basically you have a board of governors that comes together. They start working through all of the data that comes in from the market. And then at that point, they start to make the final decision of how they're going to go interest about rate hikes or potentially interest rate declines. So we'll be airing Chair Powell's speech when he addresses the press corps here in a bit. So just be on the lookout for that. They are probably about 10 to 15 minutes away. We'll go through some things here today I want to talk about today. First of all, how would Bitcoin react to the Fed's interest rate decision? Obviously, right now we're starting to see Bitcoin do a little bit of slight move down. But that's my question is, do we continue to see Bitcoin in more of a holding pattern right now with where it has been? Or if you look at the chart, let me kind of bring up the Bitcoin chart real quick and I'll just jump over to my chart. And I'm on the five minute chart right now. But as you can kind of see, let me go to the one hour so we can kind of push that out for the last couple of days. You can kind of see a little bit of that incline that we've had over the past few days where Bitcoin slipped right into that $27 .4K range at its high and it started to adjust off of that. And I think this is the scenario that I think a lot of people are looking at. And that is when you consider the current status of the macro pressure that the markets are getting. Remember the S &P and I'm going to show you guys some cool things. Let me jump over to the S &P real quick because this is something that we've been doing here on our power index or our market sentiment index and that is starting to measure a little bit more of the S &P compared to what's happening in crypto. Right now I'm looking just at the one hour but this was the decline that we've seen in the S &P 500 which of course has started to adjust a little bit. Now some of that may be coming from the softening in the market itself. Let me jump over to this article here because I want to go back to this point on Bitcoin. Fed's interest rate decision everybody's expected today did come in at what was expected being no interest rate hike. However some experts also said that low volatility may continue after Fed's decision and investors expecting high volatility in the Bitcoin price may be disappointed. I am in somewhat agreement with that. Now there are two I guess two camps thinking of where this direction may go and what it really boils down to is two things. One of course is going to be the situation of when the Fed does pivot and the other is going to be how much lagging data is coming in in the last quarter because here we are going into Q4 October 1st. Once we start to move into Q4 we're going to start to see one the Q3 earnings that will give us some indicators of how most of these companies are doing which will cause some action on the S &P 500. And then with that you are also going to get lagging data on jobs. You're going to be lagging data on general scenarios that are market pressures coming things like the oil market. And then what we'll see is I still believe is the CRE market the commercial real estate market. That's going to be the one to watch for. And that is my concern if we continue to see a little bit of a decline there. Now the other question that plays into this is how sticky will inflation be during this last quarter because all of what we could see and including possibly another quarter point and we'll probably hear this from Chair Powell here in a few minutes when he comes on to address the press is whether or not we will see another quarter basis points rise in the fourth quarter of this year and how that sets up Q1 and Q2 for 2024. Now you have to be thinking about what is this going to do around an election year. You've got a lot happening with the UAW. That's the United Auto Workers strike potentially looming. Biden administration is pushing hard to try to position against that along with what's happening on the labor market tightening somewhat. And then of course what we've seen with sticky inflation. So all of this was really playing into when is that bottom really in. Now that's the question mark for Bitcoin, Ethereum and some of the blue chip assets. Have we started to see maybe a little bit of that swoop off of the bottom and started that into that stabilization. And I'll show you guys some examples of that. But here's the U .S. Federal Reserve keeping rates elevated through 2024. This is the concern that I think slows things down a little bit in the general market. And that is that if BlackRock is right and that if we continue to see higher rates interest rates through 2024. Now when I say higher he could still pivot and start that quarter point softening of a market. That in itself would most likely send the markets into a tizzy. But I think the other issue is whether or not we actually reach the scenario of an inflation cap that actually gets hit by consumer price index which obviously will affect consumer spending all those kind of things. And that starts to roll into the potential of a recession. And that is the real question mark looming here right now. A couple of points I want to hit out on this article on BlackRock. BlackRock's head of global fundamental income strategy agreed that the Fed is unlikely to change rates. Everybody's right on that. But the big deal is since March 2022 the Fed has increased rates 11 times to fight soaring inflation. And we've got a few charts I'll show you here in a minute of the history of inflation and the reaction of markets and how they've been able to respond. What you see there right there in 2023 is where we are now. But obviously this back in the 1980s when we were at pretty much all time inflation hits. Additionally if you guys did not follow this Citigroup announced the Fed interest rate forecast for September and November. This is another one that I think is important. From now on markets will price and how long interest rates will remain high and rather than whether there'll be an increase in interest rates. And that's my point is if we're talking about all of 2024 seeing a five plus interest rate Fed fund rate that's going to continue to pour money into the money market overall. And I think that's the other scenario especially when you look at the amount of liquidity that's going to be setting in on the sideline. So that's another factor into 2024 because you've got the halving coming with Bitcoin. You have a new election year coming in and then you have these crazy scenarios playing in on all these market pressures coming in from the macro side of things and that's providing that we don't end up with a united autowork because I think if we get a strike in the car market that could have some pretty big effects possibly even actually be one of the things that pushes us into recession because of how the auto mobile industry is so connected to so many different job industries so many sectors and obviously part of what we'll see in terms of just consumer pricing. Other parts on this I wanted to show this is kind of the the nominal Fed funds target rate increase during the FOMC tightening episodes. This goes all the way back to 1983. And this is good because it shows you how quickly this is us right now in the green the twenty two twenty three range. Look how quickly we've accelerated up that chart versus if you look at the 2004 to 06 tightening all the way back to the 2015 to 18 very slow and steady until we had the you know what. And then back here in the 80s which was really kind of that flat line and then boom that heavy acceleration that we had in the early 80s when we really started to see kind of a redefinition of what high inflation truly was. And I don't know how many of you guys are around. I was still in high school at the time but but it this kind of shows where we could be. Now that's the question mark right now because if we stay at this rate right here if we start flat lining right here what maybe we'll have a little bit of this kind of effect back in the 80s where before we saw that last two to three point raise. And that's the concern I have is if we do see any kind of somewhat tentative recovery here in the Q1 possibly even in Q2 does the Fed look at 2024 data and start to reposition. I still believe that we are at the end of this cycle.

You know, I've really been excited for our talk because I think that there are so many ways in which people can eat and nourish themselves and some things are certainly more helpful or successful when it comes to blood sugar control and glycemic regulations than others. So with that in mind, let's dig in right away here. So please, if you would share with us your perspective here, what is inflammation and how does it develop? Yeah. Inflammation is just a natural process of healing. In fact, it's actually designed to help protect our body from some sort of chronic systemic infection and so, well, not chronic infection, but some sort of systemic acute infection from killing us quickly. And so I think we look at the history of mankind. More people have died from infections that got into our bloodstreams, bloodstreams spread throughout our body, went into major vital organs and killed us is what used to kill most of our ancestors. And so our body has created this inflammatory process to help protect against that. So the infection that gets in doesn't get into our lungs and cause pneumonia or our nervous system and cause meningitis. And so in order to do that, we created this inflammatory process to keep basically infection under control. And it's also part of the healing process. We break down damaged tissue and we try to remove that in order to build new healthy tissue. So for example, if we sprain our ankle, we're going to break down that tissue and try to rebuild new healthy tissue in that area. So inflammation itself is life saving. The issue is that it should be turned off when the appropriate area is healed. And so in our society, we have certain vectors that are turning up inflammation. For example, one is called leaky gut, right? So when somebody has leaky gut, there's damage, micro damage to the intestinal lining. And every time that person's eating food, particularly food that causes more gut irritation, they are further tearing that gut lining and they're not really allowing their body to heal properly. And therefore, they're spewing out bacteria and endotoxins into their bloodstream through that lining, through that hole. And that's driving up inflammation in the body because the body thinks that it's under attack from some sort of systemic infection or some sort of basically infectious process that could be life threatening. And so we've got to do what we can to get inflammation under control in our society. And so I think about it like a fire in a fireplace. You know, if the fire is on in the fireplace, it's great. It warms the house. You know, it creates a great environment, an ambiance. However, when we dump gasoline on the fire, right now it spreads on the walls and starts to burn our home. And obviously that's when it's a major issue. And so in our society, we have lifestyle habits that are dumping gasoline on the fire and causing us to burn up our home. And we just don't really understand it. We don't realize that's actually what we're doing to our body. And then we later, you know, after doing this for years and years and years, we get diagnosed with the chronic disease. But this is many years of chronic inflammation, damaging cells, tissues and organ systems of our body leading to, you know, that disease diagnosis. Absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you for laying that out so clearly. You know, it's so interesting in clinical work, sometimes it comes up. People are like, this just happened to me overnight, thinking that their body has attacked them or betrayed them and that their diagnosis has come on all of a sudden when in reality, nope, this was years in the making. So thank you so much for pointing that out for us. So anyone listening to this, if you have an inflammatory problem, please know. It took time for it to develop and it will take some time for it to heal. The good news is, if healing is possible, that it's likely to be a lot faster compared to the silent onset process. It's like too bad. It would be great if our body, as we get more and more inflamed, gave us a sound or a noise or maybe we turned polka dotted or something so we can know that something's going on here, you know? Yeah, for sure. And many times people do have chronic symptoms that are giving them a warning sign. And we just ignore it in our society, right? It's kind of like a check engine light goes on in our car. Typically we know, okay, I need to bring this in and get it looked at. But in our society, if we have headaches, chronic headaches, if we have chronic gut pain, if we have chronic joint pain, if we have skin rashes, acne, eczema, if we are gaining weight and we try some lifestyle strategies and we're just not losing weight, if we're gaining weight and we can go on and on, in our society, oftentimes the first thing we do is we go right to some sort of medication or we try to just ignore it. It's like we just let the check engine light stay on or we take some duct tape and just kind of stick it over it and pretend that everything's okay with the car. And that's really what we're doing. We're not actually getting to the root cause. Exactly. So that brings me to my very next question for you, which is this. What are some of the root causes of inflammation and how can this be measured quantitatively with lab testing? So when we look at root causes of chronic inflammation, one, and this is what you're really addressing in this summit, is a diet and lifestyle that is not right, right? So high blood sugar and insulin resistance, primarily driven by the food that we're consuming and lack of exercise, right? Lack of movement, food that we're consuming, obviously stress plays a role. So high stress, poor sleep hygiene and poor sleep quality. Sleep quality is super important. We've got to make sure we're sleeping really well when we are sleeping, but also proper hygiene when it comes to sleep. That plays a big role with our sleep quality. For example, shift workers, they might sleep eight or nine hours, but because they're sleeping at the wrong hours that are not right with, you know, humans, natural circadian rhythm or we're supposed to be sleeping at night, they tend to have higher levels of blood sugar and insulin resistance compared to people that are sleeping the same amount of hours and working kind of a normal shift and then sleeping overnight. So those are major factors. And then beyond that, we have things like chronic infections. So we know that when we have different infections, whether it's a candida overgrowth in our gut, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, H. pylori infections in our stomach, parasite infections, Lyme disease, things like that, that all drives up inflammatory processes in our body. Chronic overload of toxicity. All of us are exposed to chemicals in our air, water and food. So all of us have levels of toxicity coming into our system. But if our drainage and detoxification pathways are working properly, we should be eliminating a good amount of those and keeping our toxic bucket under control. And so we all have kind of like a toxic threshold. And so if we keep things under that threshold by keeping, you know, by limiting our exposure to toxins and then by allowing our body to detox and drain effectively, then, you know, that doesn't drive inflammation. However, if we're consuming lots of toxins from the food, we eat the air, we breathe the things we're putting on our skin, the water we're drinking, and then we're not doing things to help improve our lymphatic system, our liver, our gut, our kidneys. Right. We're not we're not peeing. You know, we should be urinating. Right. We should be peeing out toxins. We should be breathing them out. So respiration, perspiration, that's sweating, urination and defecation. Right. So we should be peeing, pooping, breathing. And sweating out these toxins. If we're not doing that, then our toxic load goes up, goes over that threshold, drives inflammation in the body. So toxicity is a big factor. You know, I mentioned stress. There can also be things like post -traumatic stress disorders. Right. So where somebody's had major trauma and their body never really recovered from that trauma and they're kind of reliving that trauma. Maybe somebody that was a war veteran or perhaps they were sexually abused or something along those lines. Right. They may relive those traumas on a regular basis, driving up inflammation in the body. So all of these things need to be addressed and and considered. Somebody might be living in a mold toxic house, right, breathing in mold and mycotoxins on a daily basis. They're trying to live a healthy lifestyle, but they're constantly overloading their their system with toxins. And so we've got to be able to look at all of those factors and make sure that we're addressing those to keep inflammation under control. Now, when we're measuring inflammation on labs, there's some easy labs that we can look at. You know, you can get done on blood work. For example, one of the most common is high sensitivity C reactive protein. CRP is a protein that our body, our immune system produces in response to inflammation. And, you know, so long as you don't get a false negative, like if you work out really intensely right before you get your blood test done, your CRP will be through the roof. That's actually a healthy level of inflammation, because after we exercise, we have inflammation to help our body heal and recover. So normally you want to not work out roughly 48 hours before getting the test done, ideally at least 24 hours. So you get the right measurement and your HSCRP should ideally be under one and really as close to zero as possible. And so typically it's not flag tie unless it's up over two or three, somewhere in that range. But anything over one is a sign that there's underlying inflammation there. And that's something that we definitely want to look at and address. So that's a big factor. You know, I know in this in this summit, I'm sure you've got people talking about things like hemoglobin A1C. We know hemoglobin A1C, that's a sign of the glycation process or basically when a sugar molecule binds to a major protein, like in this case, when it binds to hemoglobin, major protein that helps bring oxygen to the cells in the body and denatures the hemoglobin. And so it causes a sticky protein process. So we should have ideally like the optimal range really is is really under under 5 .2 on the hemoglobin, 5 .2 percent under. And so typically in our society, nothing is flagged until it's up over six, up over six percent. I like to keep mine under five, right? Between four point five and five. Some are in that range to make sure that my hemoglobin, my red blood cells have great capacity to bring oxygen to the cells so I can create the cellular energy I need to really thrive. So hemoglobin A1C is a really good marker. There's another one actually that you can test, too. It's it's it's called a novel marker for systemic inflammation. It's called GlycA, right? And so it's also a marker of glycosylation and again, a sugar molecule binding to proteins. In this case, GlycA looks at proteins particularly involved in the immune system. And so when that's elevated, I like to see it between one hundred and three hundred. Some are in that range, more closer to one hundred when it's up over three hundred. We know that's a sign of systemic inflammation. In fact, there are some individuals that will have normal HSCRP, but we'll see the GlycA elevated. And so that's a really good it's a novel marker. They've just been doing a number of studies on that, really starting just in the last five years. Very interesting marker. We know, for example, statin drugs will have a cholesterol lowering medications can have a mild anti -inflammatory effect that may bring CRP down, but they don't bring GlycA down. Whereas a lot of lifestyle strategies that you're talking about on the summit will help bring both of those markers down. And so that's a that's a really important thing to be looking at. Another key marker is LDH, lactate dehydrogenase, which is part of our natural energy, you know, our glycolysis and Krebs cycle. It's kind of a Krebs cycle glycolysis intermediary enzyme. And so when that's elevated, it's a sign that there's inflammation, particularly heart tissue related as well as liver. Right. Could be related to liver. And speaking of liver, liver enzymes are another really good marker. So when we're seeing liver enzymes like ALT, AST, GGT, when these when these are elevated up over roughly up over 25, that's a sign that there's inflammation affecting the liver cells. And then based on the ratios, for example, if ALT is real high, AST is kind of in the normal range, roughly 10 to 25 in that normal range. We know that inflammation is really affecting the liver when AST is high and ALT is more in the normal range or a lot lower than AST. We start thinking about that inflammation affecting muscle tissues or affecting the heart in particular. So that's a key marker for that. When GGT is real high up over 25 again and the AST and ALT are lower than the GGT, then we start thinking about biliary tree, gallbladder, bile ducts, that region. So it kind of helps us understand more of where that inflammation may be located. So these are just some of the markers. You know, if you get a good a good look, you know, you can also look at just a lipid panel, like where you're looking at your LDL, which is considered the bad cholesterol, your triglycerides, your HDL levels. We like to see the triglyceride to HDL ratio. If there was one thing I was going to look at on a lipid panel, I think all the markers can have some importance. We can get some good clinical data from all those markers. But if there was one marker I think is most important to look at, it would be the triglyceride to HDL ratio. So how many triglycerides, which are basically free fatty acids that our body can use as an energy source that are circulating in the bloodstream versus the high density lipoproteins, which are a carrier molecule that helps bring fats, lipids, all different types of molecules back to the liver from the cells. And so when we're looking at that ratio, we ideally should be under two. So under two parts triglyceride to HDL, roughly close to one. And that kind of close, as close to one as possible, one part triglyceride, one part HDL, like to see that triglyceride level certainly under a hundred. OK, and we look at that. That is a key marker for insulin resistance and inflammation. If your triglyceride to HDL ratio is up over two, if your HDL is under 50, you know, triglycerides are up over a hundred. You know, definitely a sign of insulin resistance and inflammation taking place in the body as long as the test is done fasting. Right. We always want to make sure with the lipid panel definitely can be affected if we eat a meal right before we we get that lab done. But that's a really key marker to look at and helps us understand how well our body's responding to getting nutrients into the cells. So when triglycerides are real high, we're not good at burning fat for fuel. We've got all these extra fats out in the cell or outside in the bloodstream. And those fats can become denatured and cause more reactive oxygen species and drive up oxidative stress and inflammation in the system. So all very important markers to be looking at. A lot of these tests are not expensive, but glyca is a little bit more pricey. But most of the other ones you can easily get from your physician. Just go in, ask for the high sensitivity, high sensitivity to your reactive protein, lipid panel, liver enzymes. Right. They'll run all of those. And then one other marker that we should look at as well as vitamin D levels are 25 hydroxy vitamin D. A lot of research out showing that levels on certainly under 30 nanograms per milliliter, where you're you're the lab will actually flag you as deficient, you know, linked with all cause mortality. So if you have levels under 30, you're all cause mortality, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, neurodegenerative condition. We talk about any sort of chronic disease and then dying of anything goes up. Right. So it's really easy actually to bump that up. Ideally, we do it by getting in the sun. However, most of us just not getting enough sunshine. We may not be living in an area where the sun's going to impact us in a significant way to get the vitamin D if we're up. Let's say we live in Canada, we live in Maine, we live in these northern climates. It's going to be harder to get enough vitamin D from the sun. But if we are in a you know, even if we are in that location, like in the summer months, trying to get as much sun on as much of your body as possible. Obviously, you don't want to burn. But outside of that, trying to get the sunshine is key. Sun offers a lot more benefits than just a vitamin D supplement. However, taking a vitamin D supplement as well can be really helpful. I usually recommend about a thousand international units per twenty five pounds of body weight taken with meals you do at one or two doses, depending on how much of that you need. And that will definitely get your vitamin D levels up. You want to test every three to six months or so and kind of look at where you're at. Ideally, I like to see it up over 60 nanograms per milliliter, usually not concerned about overdosing. The research shows that as long as you keep it really under about 150 nanograms per milliliter, you won't deal with any sort of, you know, toxicity, vitamin D toxicity. It's really hard to get it up over 150, although it can be done if you're taking like 50 ,000 units every single day. So if you're taking roughly five, 10, 15 ,000 units every day, you're probably going to optimize your vitamin D and do really well. And so those would be some of the key labs I would definitely recommend. All right, great, thank you for that list of people listening, friends, you know, here in the audience, please do take out your notes, get your paper and pen ready, or if you're keeping a Google doc or however you're keeping track and look at this list because it'll be helpful to you to help guide your own health and be aware. Well, I decided to put the title in this book when I finished it. Let's look around today, even before we get into any history background on The Democrat Party Hates America. You look at the border. You look at our value of our currency. You look at what's going on in our classrooms. You look what's going on in our courtrooms. You look what's going on with the price of fuel, and soon to be the elimination of the combustion engine. You look at what's going on in the streets, particularly in our inner cities, where people are being mugged, raped, and brutalized, and murdered with very little consequence. And I can go on and on and on. This is the news that we're faced with almost every day. This is what you, Charlie, and I have to deal with almost every day when we talk about it. This is what the American people see every day. Well, these aren't natural disasters. Somebody's causing all these things to happen. So who's causing all these things to happen? It's man -made. Who are these men? What's the Democrat Party behind every single one of these? And when you go back in history, the Democrat Party has never accepted America and Americanism. It's never accepted the Declaration of Independence. It doesn't even accept it today. Never accepts the Constitution. It is rewriting our history about our founding. It's done this before. So we have a party that was the party of the Confederacy, the party of slavery, the party of segregation, the party of eugenics, the party of the Klan, the party of lynching. And all of a sudden it keeps attacking the American history. That's their history. It's not America's history. It's their history. And then today, of course, they are also attacking America. But like good chameleons, they've shifted the way they do it. So whereas they used to be the party of anti -black racism, now they're the party of anti -white racism. Why? Because they don't like white people. Well, many of these are white people. Because they're Marxists. So in order to attack the race founding of the nation, which was founded largely by white people and Europeans, you need to attack that. So you have the 1690 project, you have critical race theory, you have monuments being pulled down, you have all these things going on. Because the goal now is to destroy the connection of the American people with their history, the destruction of the American culture, and so forth and so on. So you got to look at the Democrat Party through the lens of power, their power. Because the Democrat Party, Charlie, is not a typical political party. It's an autocratic entity that doesn't seek to win elections. It seeks to control elections, control the outcome of elections, to diminish the viability of any opposition parties or any opposition of any kind. And so this book gets very deep into the history, as you know. It's very hard to do an interview or answer an interview on this book because it is so comprehensive. It is comprehensive. It is. Yeah. And I've spent a lot of time, Mark, flipping through it. I want to just isolate one sentence that I think is super powerful. Page 23 of the Democrat Party Hates America. The Democrat Party has evolved into an anti -American political and cultural entity. It's an institutional home for the Marxist ideology in its Americanized forms. Mark, part of the challenge I have with people that have a muscle memory of a past that no longer exists, 1980s, 1990s, it's hard, Mark, for some people I talk to for them to believe that the leading American political party that controls the White House and the United States Senate and all the bureaucracies has contempt for the country they govern. That's why I think your book is so important, Mark. It really challenges limiting beliefs. You do it in a fabulous way. But I want to just isolate. This is a party that has bitterness towards what you and I love. This is no longer a policy debate. We want different things. Mark Levin. 100 percent. I'd always amazes when people say to me, well, can't we get something going here? The bipartisan. I don't know. Should we have done something bipartisan with the Confederacy? Some things are right and some things are wrong. When people are, as they say, they use the phrase fundamentally transforming America. Shouldn't we believe them? When one of the leading Democrat lights in the Democrat Party is a Marxist by the name of Bernie Sanders, shouldn't we understand that? When 10 to 15 percent of the Democrat caucus in the House of Representatives are Marxists, shouldn't we accept that and have to deal with it? So what I've tried to do in this book is rather than deal with the ephemeral or the ambiguous, it's to put a label on it. American Marxism sort of set the stage. But the fact of the matter is we have a political entity, which is more than a party. It's your typical autocratic party that wants to do what? That wants to devour this society. That wants to replace the country. They want allegiance to the party, not to the country. They don't give a damn about the country. Your fuel prices, the open border, elections. They have a fourth branch of government that they've created with some help of Republicans, but it's their government, which issues more regulations and laws than Congress ever could. We don't even have a representative republic anymore. You and I, we're not asking members of Congress to eliminate the incandescent light bulb because apparently it kills people. They're going through our homes. They're eliminating all kinds of appliances. Any government that has the power to eliminate a light bulb has no limits on its power. And so what this party does is every waking hour of its leadership is to try and destroy the status quo, destroy our traditions, destroy our customs, destroy real law and order, particularly in our communities, as they empower and centralize the police state. Well, folks, quick news about the Fed right now, they are pausing rate hikes, but we know they are leaving the option on the table to be able to raise rates again. And we know these rate hikes and the fight against inflation does have an impact on the markets. Now, Bitcoin and the crypto market, of course, have rallied from the lows of December 2022. And we are obviously not going to new all time highs right now, but it's certainly a bounce off the lows. So I've been saying we're in that transition phase between the bear and the bull market. And next year is the halving. And I think the bull market officially starts then. But we'll see how the Fed's news has an impact on the markets. Look, the Fed, they've been raising rates all this year and the markets have been going up. So let's see what they decide to do historically, based on the charts and all the data. When they start cutting is when we need to kind of worry during that period. And once they start quantitative easing, guys, global liquidity will come back and asset prices will continue to rally. So short term, a lot of uncertainty, maybe a little bit more pain, but long term, we are headed back to the bull market. The bull runs just we are in this tightening period and we have to be patient and go through it. And then we will be back in good times, as they would say. Now let's move ahead, because the date is set, folks, September twenty seventh, corrupt scumbag regulator Gary Gensler will be testifying before the House Financial Committee. And it will be, of course, a much less friendly venue than what he experienced with the banking GOP, as we're going to see the folks who oversee the SEC, the House Financial Committee, you know, really put down the hammer on Gary Gensler and grill him like they did last time. Remember the last time Patrick McHenry and many of these members gave him laser pointed questions. Is he theorem of security? Is XRP a security rate? I'm very curious how they're going to grill him this time, because obviously he took a big loss. The SEC and Gary Gensler took a big loss in the ripple lawsuit. They also lost the grayscale. The judge recently shut down their ability to do any discovery with Binance U .S. So the judicial branch and the courts and so forth are not putting up with the lies, corruption and hypocrisy of the SEC. They abide by the law. So Gary Gensler and the SEC have not been trying to abide by the law. Remember what Judge Sarah Netburn said in the ripple lawsuit. The SEC lacks faithful allegiance to the law. Imagine being a government agency that's supposed to have integrity, that's supposed to protect investors and be the good guys. You are being told you don't abide by the law. And this is what I've been saying for years. The SEC is rotten at its core. It's fallen far from its core mission. And not to mention the Bill Hinman situation and a theorem free pass and much more. So mark your calendars, folks. Gary Gensler is going to be grilled and it's going to be 10 a .m. on Wednesday, September 27 to next Wednesday. And we shall see how that goes. I'm sure there's going to be fireworks. Now here's something that's very funny. Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, him and his team, his legal team were in D .C. He said they were meeting with members of Congress and their global policy team were trying to figure out regulations. And he said, can't get regulatory clarity without actually engaging with the elected officials who are proposing bills. He also posted a picture of him and Stuart Allerani, chief legal officer, in front of the SEC building with their hands up like, yeah, you know, we had to take a picture in front of the SEC building while in town. In case you're wondering, no, Chair Gensler did not invite us in. I love it. Very, very funny. So, you know, Gary Gensler is a clown. Everybody's laughing at him now. He's such a buffoon. And, you know, I've said it many times, he's a puppet on strings. He's doing the bidding of the TradFi incumbents, which is sad, right? Just corrupt. You're supposed to be protecting investors, having a fair free market, you know, whether it be startups, new industries and so forth. Just looking to protect investors, not doing the bidding of the TradFi giants. And you know, we'll see how this once again, this hearing goes on the 27th. The SEC is not done going after crypto exchanges, according to David Hirsch, the head of the agency's crypto assets and cyber unit. Speaking at the Securities Enforcement Forum Central in Chicago on Tuesday, Hirsch said securities law violations within the industry extend far beyond existing litigation. Now, keep in mind, the crypto division of the SEC is currently bogged down with complex lawsuits against both Coinbase and Binance, two of the largest crypto exchanges. Hirsch said his unit is investigating similar activity across other firms and believes non -compliant business practices, quote, hold true well beyond any two entities. Hirsch warned, Now, the SEC is apparently also turning its gaze towards DeFi platforms in this crusade against crypto intermediaries. Hirsch said, quote, Now, a common theme of recent comments from SEC chair Gary Gensler is to mock, quote, so -called decentralized finance. This perhaps indicates that the SEC believes underlying most DeFi protocols, they will be able to find a company to sue. All that said, despite outlining an ambitious enforcement agenda, Hirsch did concede that the agency's resources are constrained. Over recent decades, the SEC has largely dealt with regulated financial institutions, with The SEC's campaign against crypto firms has largely presented existential threats rather than manageable fines, leading to a significant number of contested lawsuits. Hirsch admitted during the panel that, quote, Reflecting on that point, Hirsch recognized the scale of the task he was proposing, stating that, And similarly, there are a number of centralized platforms out there, some that are acting as unregistered exchanges. So in some ways here, Hirsch is begrudgingly admitting that the SEC is getting close to capacity, at least when it comes to ongoing litigation. They're dealing with Coinbase, Binance and Ripple, all as major cases, LBRY Library seems to be wanting to go to appeal, then there's Grayscale, which continues to be a legal battle, as well as the two recent NFT cases which settled. So the question is, can the SEC handle five lawsuits at once? Can they handle 10? Even if you think the answer is yes, at what point do you think the answer becomes no? Frankly, this is maybe why people like Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong are encouraging the industry to take up arms effectively and actually fight these legal battles out in court. Now, of course, this brings up the other question of whether the SEC can bank on funding for additional resources to expand this endeavor or whether they need to have some alternative approach. This, of course, echoes the talking point from both the GOP as well as from Dems like The SEC's regulation by enforcement approach is reaching the end of its limits to the extent that it ever was successful at all, and that a much smarter pathway at this point might actually be rulemaking and guidance rather than just trying to sue the industry off the face of the planet. Look, crypto companies are fighting back. It's only a matter of time before we see some sort of coordinated defense fund, and it wouldn't be surprising to me if even this beleaguered industry can marshal a heck of a lot more resources than the SEC can on its own. Now, the other side of the coin is how much time the SEC actually has left to bring the industry to heel. Fox Business reporter Eleanor Teret tweeted yesterday, Only 13 days left for the SEC to bring enforcement actions that will count towards fiscal year 2023 enforcement numbers. The agency filed 760 total enforcement actions in FY 2022. I wonder if we'll see a surge of cases in the next two weeks? Now, certainly when it comes to the crypto industry, there is a broad sense of bring it on. Crypto trader Laxman writes, SEC warns of upcoming charges against crypto and DeFi exchanges. Few might think this will kill crypto. I feel like this will kill SEC. Crypto McKenna retweeted the headline, SEC warns more charges against crypto and DeFi exchanges are coming, and added the Latin phrase, if you want peace, prepare for war. Simplest of all, the Gordon Law Group just said, bring it on, Gary. Now, moving to the global sphere, a German regulator has stressed the risks of crypto and called for global regulations to apply consistently without exception. On Monday, Rupert Schaefer, executive director of strategy, policy and control at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, Baffin, published a blog post on the importance of united global regulation on crypto. He warned of the dangers of unregulated crypto firms using a fairly labored analogy to airspace regulation. Schaefer likened the crypto regulation to air traffic control regulations, which are relatively uniform throughout the world. In this analogy, some crypto assets and DeFi projects were UFOs. He stated then that it would be negligent to simply ignore them. Schaefer warned that FTX was a major crash and there would be many more like it to come. Now, the regulator praised the recently passed MICA regulations in Europe, but argued that further steps need to be taken. He produced a long list of global proposals from the Financial Stability Board, the International Association of Securities Commissions, the Financial Action Task Force and the Basel Committee, and this he claimed was enough to establish a global consensus, stating that quote, the international regulatory principles have been adopted and the framework has been set. Now, the common principles must be implemented consistently and consistently worldwide. There should be no white spots in the flight radar. The global rules should also apply to niche financial centers. Now, this blog post comes a little over a week since the conclusion of the G20 summit, which was pitched as an opportunity to discuss global synchronization of crypto policy. G20 leaders did manage to produce an endorsement of the latest set of policy recommendations published by the Financial Stability Board. And in her article previewing the meeting, Noelle Acheson highlighted that the adoption of FSB recommendations was quote, very likely since the recommendations don't actually say anything interesting. Noelle noted that the FSB recommendations are more around notational international cooperation and vague platitudes about enforcing risk management rather than firm policy outlines. At the same time, none of the recommendations mentioned by Schaeffer actually achieved consensus approval at the G20, calling into question how the regulator can claim that there are any common principles whatsoever. Moving over to the UK. The UK House of Lords have passed a bill which would grant authorities the power to freeze and seize crypto assets associated with crime. Currently, UK authorities cannot apply for crypto assets to be frozen unless there has been an arrest or conviction. This bill would allow them to more quickly apply for freeze orders. Hundreds of millions worth of crypto linked to crime have been seized by local authorities, but experts say this new bill could help deal with situations that aren't easily dealt with under the current legal framework. Phil Aris, Director of UK Public Sector Relations at TRM Labs said, A government fact sheet suggested even more broad use, stating that quote, The creation of a crypto asset's specific civil forfeiture power will mitigate the risk posed by those that cannot be prosecuted, but use their funds to further criminality or for terrorist purposes. Isabella Chase, Senior Policy Advisor at blockchain analytics firm TRM Labs suggested that the measure could assist with police funding, stating that quote, Corker Bining was less enthusiastic about the fundraising prospects, noting that as the UK cracks down, quite, they might find that the pool of available targets quickly dwindles as suspected criminals move their assets offshore to less enthusiastically policed jurisdictions. The bill has already been passed in the House of Commons once, so will now return for a second vote before it can be given royal assent to become law. Now, I don't know what sort of free society we're dealing with here. With the big caveat that I am not a lawyer, the discourse around this is pretty wild to me. It seems like they're talking effectively about on -chain asset forfeiture without the requirement to charge anyone with a crime. This is the digital equivalent of police being able to take what they find in your trunk if they search your car and not have to give it back to you. That's an insane policy and so is this. And I hope not just for the sake of the crypto industry, but for the sake of the UK itself, some real, real limits are put around this. Staying in the UK, however, for just a moment, on Tuesday, UK lawmakers passed the controversial online safety bill. The bill requires companies to assess the likelihood of customers encountering illegal content and of children encountering harmful content. Proponents of the bill say it will be used to protect younger internet users and make the web a safer place. The government has claimed the bill would make the UK, quote, the safest place in the world to be online. Critics, however, have warned that depending on how the bill is enforced, it could require companies to do away with encrypted messaging and essentially any notion of online privacy. WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram have all threatened to exit the UK if the bill was passed. Earlier this month, regulators attempted to appease encrypted messaging apps by promising to only implement text scanning if it was technically feasible, but WhatsApp head Will Cathcart appeared unconvinced, tweeting last week that, quote, the fact remains that scanning everyone's messages would destroy privacy as we know it. That was as true last year as it is today. WhatsApp will never break our encryption and remains vigilant against threats to do so. Signal President Meredith Whitaker was a little bit more hopeful that the implementation would be thoughtful. She said, quote, while it's not everything we wanted, we are more optimistic than we were when we began engaging with the UK government. It matters that the government came out publicly clearly acknowledging that there is no technology that can safely and privately scan everyone's communications. At this point, it is imperative that we press regulators to incorporate the government's safely and privately scan end to end encryption communications and push them to clearly and publicly commit to not using the unchecked and unprecedented power vested in them to undermine private communications infrastructure. Whitaker confirmed that Signal would remain available in the UK for the time being. But for content and messaging platforms, the enforcement of the bill is a high stakes issue, with the maximum penalty being up to 10 percent of global revenue. Lastly, today, an update from a story earlier in the week. We have recently talked about JPX, a crypto exchange that has come under fire from Hong Kong authorities. At the time, withdrawals were effectively halted and one influencer had been arrested for promoting the platform. Reporting on Monday morning stated that authorities had received 83 complaints related to assets worth $4 .3 million. Since then, the case has dramatically escalated. Authorities have now received over 1 ,600 complaints involving over $150 million worth of assets. Eight people have now been arrested with the expectation that more arrests are coming. Police have now stated that the arrests are in relation to conspiracy to commit fraud rather than merely promotion of an unlicensed exchange. Twenty locations have been raided across Hong Kong with police seizing cash, jewelry, computers and phones worth around $1 million. Police have frozen around $2 million held in bank accounts owned by arrested suspects, alongside about $5 .5 million in property. Authorities are currently considering the confiscation of around $8 million in criminal proceeds. On Monday, JPX blamed the Securities and Futures Commission and their counterparties within the industry for causing an illiquidity crisis. They said in a statement, When other cryptocurrency exchanges announced their entry into the Hong Kong market and began extensive promotion, JPX was subjected to continuous unfair treatment. The SFC sent letters to all of our partners requesting the cessation of cooperation with the platform. On Tuesday, however, Elizabeth Wong, director of licensing at the SFC, confirmed that the regulator had asked counterparties to step away from the unlicensed exchange. The regulator had been monitoring the platform for months and issued numerous warnings to users. She said that since those warnings were issued, JPX went from bad to worse. The events surrounding JPX could be seen either as a sign that Hong Kong authorities are serious about enforcement of new crypto regulations or an indication that the city still has a long way to go in cleaning up the industry. As we discussed before, given Hong Kong's role as a bellwether for Chinese authorities' attitudes towards crypto, this is a story that we will continue to watch. them aired the first episode January of 2017 this is Ian Trottier here and today we are going to start talking if you are not familiar with the name Charlotte Iserbit she passed away about a year and a half ago she's a former advisor to the Department of Education under Ronald Reagan her story is very interesting and captivating because she talks about having received a list of these Skull and Bones members via mail that was sent to her father who was a Skull and Bones member at Yale and Anthony Sutton was hot on that trail so two names that you should familiarize yourself with and that is Charlotte Charlotte's work and that is the deliberate dumbing down of America she talks about the invasion of the American education system and that having been formalized under Jimmy Carter back in 1979 Department of Education so she talks about that through her book and then also what I was talking about was Anthony Sutton calling her being hot basically on the trail of dissecting the corruption that is it's really manipulation because Ella Hugh Yale was a major stockholder a main president of the British East Indies trading company that is a Rothschild controlled trading company and the Rothschild funded the American Revolution so I may be off here ladies and gentlemen but if you look at the flag that was flown above the John Paul Jones excuse me the USS Alfred commandeered by John Paul Jones on the Delaware that basically started the American Revolution that flag is basically identical to the British East Indies company flag and then that you trace that and you go back to Cambridge Massachusetts and something called the flag committee which is Continental Congress approved Washington Franklin adopted what became the first flag of the United what became known as the United States and that was the US Grand Union flag which as being designed by Betsy Ross that is the US Grand Union flag which is identical to the British East Indies company flag because that is where the financing came to fund Washington's army and then you ask well wait a second that's English and well yeah this it is English but it's not English because London the city of London is not technically part of England it is its own banking it's sovereign nation a Roman banking colony still in existence these are all facts and you can cross -check them but anyway so seek and destroy you're you've excellent hi Stevie so thanks for for joining the the the show and please give listeners an introduction to who you are Gloria you can start tell listeners who you are what you what you do and then and then Stevie you can do the same please I try to destroy a young conservative and I also did a nonprofit the name of it is United Women Foundation what we do is mentor employ aid and young conservative women who are in Stevie's situation and we also give out scholarships to conservatives who are not in need of a scholarship but who are conservatives and who are promoting the conservative agenda in their lives thank you Gloria and that's United Women Foundation calm I'll go ahead and put a link to that in the episode Stevie go ahead and introduce yourself for us please well thank you very much for having us on my name is Stevie Giorno and I serve as the chairman of the Tennessee Young Republicans and I am the former student body president at Belmont University where I was attacked by the radical left for being proud of my country and being proud to be an American on the 4th of July in 2020 during the as a mother for protecting your your family and your country I've looked at the website I've looked a little bit about both of you and what's interesting is you have been you've come my way and your stories come my way through a contact there in Florida and your Stevie your story is daughter went through something very similar and in her university classes but Stevie go ahead and tell us a little bit about about what you experienced you were the student body president at Belmont University yet you were attacked for your political views isn't that right picture of myself in front of the White House and I captioned it that I was proud to be an American and I thanked those who had sacrificed and served so that we may have the freedoms and liberties that our forefathers intended for us and within 24 hours my fraternity was blackmailing me threatening to label me a racist and remove me from the fraternity there were hundreds of comments on my Instagram post and there were hundreds of signatures on a change .org petition that sought to remove me as the duly elected student body president even though I was elected unanimously with almost 99 98 % of the vote and so it was really bad that students friends of mine my fraternity brothers wanted to attack me because I was proud to be from this country you know my grandparents escaped from communism in Yugoslavia and my mother lived there for a year so I've heard the first -hand horrors of what happens in a communist country and I fear that our country is headed that way every single day. Now what's interesting is one of the articles that I that I went through briefly was is written by Campus Reform it's published on an online newsletter called Campus Reform and one of the stories that they have today actually talks about glorifying Che you Guevara know this is a this is a socialist figure that that helped with the with the cubist Cuban communist revolution and Fidel Castro you're you're talking about your family having come from communist Yugoslavia are you seeing are you seeing Stevie in in in in your experience on on campus now I don't know what you're doing now maybe you graduated you can bring us up to date with where you at right now but are you seeing some of these same the same signs that that perhaps your mother or your grandparents were talking about that were that were red flags for for communism growing within the country are you seeing that experiencing that I do and I think unfortunately it is getting worse specifically at Belmont University they refused the school is refusing to allow a turning point USA chapter on campus I think it it's it's it's awful it's an infringement on our First Amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom of belief to protest to assemble and so it's really unfortunate what's going on with with colleges and universities I graduated in the spring of 2021 but I have heard of the horror stories happening at private Christian schools so -called Christian schools happening across the country and until students and parents and grandparents begin to see what is happening you know the first step to solving a problem is acknowledging it exists and it's there and it's not going to get better until enough conservative students and parents realize that they need to stop funding the indoctrination machines of universities and change course well it's very brave of you to say that glory I want want to get your your view and and and I want to first first say this I opened this show up before I brought you on with talking about somebody named Charlotte Iserbyt and I'm happy to send you her link to her book it's called the deliberate dumbing down of America what she did was she started dissecting what was happening under the Reagan administration with the attack on the indoctrination that we're seeing fruits of today a few decades later but Gloria did you did you ever expect or suspect that something like this might happen to your son I I he gets into college were there any anything anything happening up to that time where he's now the student body president of Belmont University anything before that that you were that you questioned well you know hey they he might he might need to defend himself or was this a complete surprise to you it was a complete surprise there was absolutely nothing the handbook the literature the online documentation about Belmont University everything fit a conservative Christian agenda there was nothing I mean personally I think it's a bait and switch but there was absolutely nothing I was friends with some of the professors who are conservatives at Belmont or who were conservatives at Belmont and we had spoken for two years before Stevie made the decision to go there and no there was not any kind of indication that anything like this would happen now we would never allowed our son to want to go to a school where he would have been threatened for his beliefs I mean he had been working for Republican candidates since he was 17 years old so it was out in the open it's on his LinkedIn it's public so no I mean we we were told on every tour we were told at every meeting that this was a fully free campus there would be no harassment it was Christian it was conservative and I read the handbook and Stevie followed all the guidelines when these things did start to occur he did follow all the guidelines he followed all the rules he turned everything into administration and they did nothing absolutely nothing and Stevie yeah go ahead to this day they have not responded in any way shape or form nothing and this has been three years now so you have not gotten a formal response from the school administration Stevie you're simply in DC taking a photograph outside the White House expressing your gratitude for the country and the values that it stands for did you ever suspect this type of backlash coming from the because he knew that if he spoke out against them that they would send him to a camp where he'd never be heard from again and really that whole year of 2020 was either you agree with everything we're saying you endorse the BLM organization but we're gonna do everything we can to destroy you and in fact because Tennessee is a single -party consent state that means you can record conversations with only one person knowing I did record those conversations with my fraternity which my mom put into her book and in those conversations my fellow friends my fraternity brothers say if you do not apologize for your post if you do not endorse this group we're gonna do whatever it takes to destroy you and your career and your reputation so it's a more mild form of what happens in communist countries but because these students were not held accountable it is only going to get worse and worse and it did I mean there was one instance where a female student who worked at a fast -food restaurant I would go to for my breakfast in the mornings she admitted in the official College Democrat group text that she was putting quote gross stuff in my drinks every single day because I was a an awful conservative who loved this country and one endorsed the BLM organization and the school guess what the school did when I turned her in what did they do they accepted her into Belmont law school you gotta be kidding me I'm serious 100 % she was rewarded for attacking a political opponent and I think that's dangerous as we see what's going on with President Trump he is being attacked because he's leading in the polls and it's truly unfortunate that we're becoming a banana republic yeah did the did she make you sick with whatever she put in the drinks and we couldn't even get the Nashville police who are unfortunately very short staff due to the liberal City Council and the liberal mayor at the time unfortunately they were they were unable to investigate it because I was perfectly fine thankfully but they said since there was no lasting issues that they refused to investigate and then the school accepted this girl into law school with full knowledge of everything she had done struck so it it shows the systemic problem we're having and imagine if this is happening in a conservative Christian private university in Nashville Tennessee one of the most conservative states imagine what's going on in all 49 other states we don't have the ability to record conversations and to take screenshots of texts and emails and and have such transparency I mean it's terrifying to think what's happening in these other colleges yeah very well said Stevie tell us about that book and tell us about how tell us about how it's been received my husband and I we want to speak out on this we want people to know I need parents and grandparents to know what their children and yes very teen but there still are children what they face and what they are up against when they go away to school we need for parents to fight back we need for parents to take a stand if 40 % of students stopped attending their respective universities you know that the agenda at universities with administration would change so we as conservatives we have that title of being silent majority because usually we are silent well Stevie and I wanted to change that hence the book I use I feel that the book is an educational tool for parents learn from what happened to my son learn from the experience that we've had we went to this university many times it's not far from our home we investigated it we knew people who worked there who taught there and never once did we feel that it was going to be a threat to our son and look what happened so whatever you're seeing I dread to think what's going on at public schools I just dread but I want parents to learn learn read the book you'll see everything is documented in there as my son said fortunately we're able to record and we're able to use everything for information but we need for parents to be more active in their students and their children's educations even when they are at college because they are all indoctrination facilities I did live in a communist country I went to first grade in Zagreb which was then Yugoslavia in 1972 and I can tell you that on my way to school my walk to school every morning I had 1 ,000 US dollars in my backpack I knew if civil unrest broke out at the age of six I knew how to get out of Yugoslavia get into a cab that was waiting for me at the end of the hill and that cab driver would take me to the border of Yugoslavia in Italy where one of my aunts would meet me and my parents would come when they were able I also knew the police officer on the corner he wasn't there for me he wasn't there to make sure that I'd be safe or anybody else he was definitely there to protect the communist regime and Josip Tito who was the dictator at the time and the parallels that I saw with what I experienced living in a communist country and what my son endured at Belmont University it's there if it's clear as day and I want to enlighten everyone who wants to hear from me I want all parents to know this is happening in our country now too we are being silenced and shut down the title of the book folks is outcast how the radical left tried to destroy a young conservative and that is Stevie so Stevie was this a the attack on you was this coming from the BLM movement at Belmont University or in Nashville have you identified the nucleus of where this attack came from okay so let me ask you a broader question we saw during the Trump Tifa uprisings mainly Seattle Portland but obviously across the country Chicago New York but that coincided with this this COVID -19 virus outbreak as a as a university student you've now graduated but Stevie were you were you drawing any parallels to either of these things happening during the Trump administration that seemingly linked to a communist revolt within the country does that making sense were you able to draw any connect any dots Stevie we know from history that it usually doesn't work that way and the government's gonna keep taking more and more of our rights and when you couple that with what is happening what did happen in 2020 with with the riots and people getting away with committing crimes to where if you and I or anyone else who was a conservative did burn down a courthouse like they did in Nashville or protest and kill innocent people in the streets we would go to jail however because they were advancing a political movement that the liberal district attorneys in big cities supported they were let go and they were not punished like they should have been like we would have been so the hypocrisy is terrible I think it does parallel communism to where you know if you remember the black shirts Mussolini's black shirts taking control of the Italian government because they were the advancing political agenda and movement that the powers that be wanted them to they were able to harass and intimidate people into supporting them and I fear that our country is going that way and we need people to stand up now if we're ever hoping to take back our country and get it back on the right track and under control Gloria the book is recently published it looks like it was just published last month and you've got us forward by Sam Sorbo how's the reception of the book been so far what are people saying who have you spoke to about it how is it being received lot Gloria a of media outlets that are reaching out to us I'm being asked to speak almost on a daily basis different organizations different groups Stevie and I have traveled to a lot of different states throughout the country and we will continue to be touring and we are I have started a conversation and parents are now extending that conversation with their friends and that is the goal we need to start with one person talking to another and now the growth has been exponential it's incredible the book is selling very well it's available on Amazon and wherever books are sold but from what I have witnessed and the calls I am getting yes it is and I mean if we as conservatives don't speak up we're gonna be done this is it and if America Falls there is nowhere else to go and our children are being indoctrinated I don't care what level of schooling it's that they're being indoctrinated on every single level and if parents do not set a strong foundation in the household when the child is born and continue that throughout a child's life when they go to college always we will not be America any longer so the book is being well received I do have parents who have reached out to me and who have asked me questions likewise I do have some haters but that's how I know I'm making a difference because the hate is there as well yeah absolutely well said it's like when you went once you're censored you know that you're putting up the correct information on the online right Stevie are you concentrating on any particular campuses as you tour the country you point of a Christian organization and unfortunately they they canceled the meeting that was going to happen at Belmont and so been trying to help the students out there at Belmont but really I think the key thing is getting in front of as many young people as possible who are conservative and letting them know that they're not alone that the hardships they're going through have happened before and they're gonna happen again and we've got to stand up tall for what we believe in and we can't be scared of people saying mean things about us or what people put on social media or what they may say to us we've got to stand up for what we believe in if there's any chance of saving our country thank you very much let me ask you this question Gloria as we as we wind down and then I want to give each of you an opportunity to leave listeners with some final words and thoughts but Gloria as somebody who's lived in a communist country and it sounded like you did at least one year schooling their first grade what's happening right now to the border of your country what's happening down there they believe they have freedom and to an extent they do and I equate it to when I speak I speak to a lot of young people because young people are what United Women Foundation is mostly about and so when I speak I they look at me very oddly when I tell my story but what I have found that works very well is I bring up a lion at a zoo and he's in a zoo he's caged his needs are met he has food he has shelter he has water he has medical attention and it's all for free but he is still in that cage but he is able to roam in that cage correct and then we have the next picture a lion picture lion in Wyoming in Montana anywhere in this country roaming freely that lion bends for himself he finds his own food he finds his own shelter he finds his own water he takes care of himself that lion is independent to me that is the difference that is the bottom line that is the difference between communism and America that is the difference between our constitution is that lion that is roaming free throughout this country and that's what we are right now so that is something that I think resonates with young people and I I believe that putting it in a perspective of a picture like that they are beginning to understand a little bit I hope at least I mean I don't know right now what I'm seeing is a lot of people have said we cannot have an opinion because we have not experienced it which truly breaks my heart my family in Croatia thinks that they are free in effect my family basically is a caged lion yeah incredible and and let me review what is happening right now at the southern border in in the U .S.

"All right, so we've got a lot happening in the area of regulation, and one of the things we'll be covering today is talking about Coinbase and their whole Stand With Crypto campaign. You guys are going to like this one, and it will also help you guys make your step into supporting the crypto events that are happening and, of course, the regulation itself. My name is Paul Baron. Welcome back to Tech Path. All right, so let's get into it today. I want to go into a couple of topics. This is all going to be about Coinbase and what they're doing to essentially fight for our rights to basically own and operate crypto. It does help the channel out. All right, so let's get into a couple of topics today. One of the points I want to hit on is this right here, is that with regulatory scenarios really starting to heat up, the SEC has basically put out another shot across the bow, saying crypto chiefs now warns more charges coming to exchanges. And a couple of things that I think we have to be aware of is just how much the SEC is doing right now in terms of the major exchanges. The major exchanges, obviously we know about Coinbase and Binance. But what others are they trying to go into? Will we start to see actions in everything from KuCoin, etc., to potentially cause some more challenges in the exchange wars against the SEC? And the other aspect that you have to think about on this is the component around the regulation. All of this regulation is brewing now. We are in the heat of a lot of regulation coming up. In fact, right here, if you look at Patrick McHenry's website, I'll show you guys some of the bills that are going in front of a vote right now. The Power of the Mint Act, CBDC Anti -Surveillance State Act, and the Digital Dollar Prevention Act. This is basically all anti -CBDC. All of this, of course, will be going in for votes very quickly. We're going to try to do a video for you guys to cover this and give you the results of this as it starts to resolve here. So lots happening there around legislation. Now with legislation comes you and me going out and really letting our state representatives, our congressmen and women understand our position. I think one of the tools that I have found that is pretty effective is what Coinbase has done. So it's a call to action mobilizing 52 million crypto owners into an army of 1 million advocates for change. And I think if we get that many advocates for change and create enough awareness, I think this is definitely a significant program. Now what they've done is they're going after some key states here. And this will be Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and of course, Wisconsin. These are key states in all of the primaries. And of course, in most cases, contribute a lot toward the potential next president. So this is a big deal of where this is going to be going on stand with crypto. So earlier this year, they took this research project on 87 percent of Americans believe the financial system needs changing. OK, I would agree with that. 51 percent of Americans believe that America's financial system does not work fairly for everyone. And I think that would make sense based on just the demographic cut that we're already starting to see. And then 63 percent of crypto owners agree that the system unfairly favors powerful interest. That I think has been all about the evolution of what's happened here in America, especially on the business interest side. Forty percent of those who own digital assets do not do so to remit money across borders to help family members. So this is another thing that a lot of people are utilizing this to really handle their everyday function of just being able to support families outside the United States. This is a big deal. 72 percent of the 18 to 34 is believe crypto gives people direct control over their money. This is another area that is going to be very interesting for a lot of our lawmakers. And the reason is because when you look at the 18 to 34, this essentially is the next demographic that's going to run the country. It's also the next demographic that is going to do most of the powerful purchasing for companies etc. We talked to a lot of brands and this is a big category in terms of demographic. 52 million Americans own crypto. There's some of the data that they pulled from this research. Five times more than own an EV. That's pretty interesting.

"Hey, what's up, everyone. Welcome to Discover Crypto. My name is A .J. Wright's crypto. And I really don't want to talk about this, but I have to get into this because you guys need to know things are probably about to get pretty messy in crypto. I mean, it's already been, you know, with the SEC going after Binance and Coinbase and this going to security this don't give up. But my message here is that the coordinated attack against crypto, you know, Operation Choke Point 2 .0 is alive and well. And in fact, I think Coinbase and Binance was just the beginning. Just today, the head of cryptocurrency assets and cyber unit of the SEC, David Hirsch, issued a serious warning that, you know, Binance and Coinbase, that was just the beginning. In the near future, they are going to be coming after not only similar platforms, similar exchanges, but also DeFi. I mean, you know, basically, if they can't control it, they they want to destroy it. It's the American way. Crypto is straight up a threat to the legacy system and everybody knows it. And this is why they're coming after the next thing so hard. You know, they've been taking losses in court. You know, SEC didn't fare well against Ripple. They just got denied an emotion in the Binance case today. But it doesn't matter to them. It's just fuel to the fire to go after the next person with more intensity. It's like as long as there's negative headlines about crypto in the news, they are winning maybe in the court of public opinion. Not everyone that knows about crypto is well informed and watches videos like this. You know, there's just people that see it on the news and will never invest because all they've heard is bad things from the news. And this is hurting the cause. This is hurting mass adoption. And this is by design because they are scared to death of the implications of what could happen to the legacy system, the status quo and even the dollar. If crypto wins this war, this is personal to them. Their jobs are seriously on the line here. And this is why exchanges like KuCoin, like BitGet, you know, remove themselves from the American equation because they wanted to stay out of hot water. I mean, can you blame them? I mean, you know, the spiel crypto is a threat to national security. Crypto is rife with fraudsters and hucksters. Answer me this. Everybody answer me this. Who uses the word hucksters? And also answer me this. Does the S is the SEC doing this because they really want to protect investors? Or is the SEC doing this to protect the American dollar? I mean, with the rise of the BRICS nations, the American dollar is becoming less and less relevant on the global scale with every passing day when money goes in the crypto that it goes away from the dollar, away from the fiat system. I mean, right now, we're 33 trillion dollars in debt. And because, you know, we keep hiking up the interest rates, that money just gets more and more expensive to pay back over time. And it's exponentially more expensive because the interest rates are hyped. It is evident, it is evident that our government is terrified of losing the crown of having the world reserve currency. I mean, if America loses the world reserve currency, I don't even know what that looks like. And this is why they are spending millions of taxpayer dollars every day to attack crypto. It goes against the legacy system. It goes against the status quo. But you know, it's not all bad. Like there is, you know, as this story came out, Hester Piris is still in the back telling crypto firms to not give up the fight, to keep fighting back because people like Hester Piris, they see the silver lining. She sees what is possible with crypto and how it can help in more ways than one. Elizabeth Warren, Gary Gensler, David Hurst, they don't want to see that. They are focused on keeping things the way they are. And the only thing that matters to them is power. And let's not forget that. I mean, why do you think crypto is such a hot topic right now? It's a hot button issue, especially at the polls with the upcoming election. They are on purpose politicizing crypto. You know why they're politicizing it? Because politics are polarizing. Politics turn family members against family members. Politics make friends stop being friends. They want to fuel that fire and make people think, oh, if you're one of those crypto people, I can't talk to you. Cancel culture. Like they're going to mix that in. I mean, they've mixed financial disparity in with crypto. They've mixed race in with crypto. They are trying to, you know, equate crypto to other hot topic, hot button issues to polarize people against each other. This is what they do. And this is why the SEC is going to keep coming after similar firms like Coinbase, like Binance and every firm under them. DeFi, they're going to do this. So negative crypto story stay in the headlines. It's that simple. And New York is leading the way. Like the green list for New York was pretty bad, but at least there were some coins on there. Now, just after the news that just came out, there's Bitcoin, Ethereum, and a bunch of stable coins. That's all you can get into if you are in New York. They just recently dropped over two dozen coins, including Litecoin, Dogecoin, and guess who? Ripple. Even though Ripple was deemed not a security in court on the secondary market, New York still dropped it. You know, it's kind of like they're on the same team as Gary. It's kind of like they're on the same agenda that wants to keep negative crypto stories in the news. It's like they're a part of Operation Chokepoint 2 .0 because they are. New York is leading the way with the regulation. New York has always led the way with financial regulations like they have in the past for the past however many years. It's been like this forever. And the thing is, is like, let's think about this. Let's really think about this. Do you think New York is doing this to protect investors or do you think New York is doing this to protect Wall Street? I mean, we all know the answer. It's pretty cut and dry to me. And at the end of the day, you know what this tells me? You know what this tells me? This tells me how powerful crypto really is. If crypto wasn't a threat to them, they would not be spending the taxpayer money that they're spending to go this hard in the paint against crypto assets. It is that cut and dry. We are on the precipice of cutting edge technology that could change the financial future for our kids and our grandkids and everything after that. And we are literally standing at the turning point. And we are, you know, this is a very, we're going to look back at 20 years and think like, wow, we didn't even realize what time we were living in. This is the turning point between which direction America is going to go. We've seen examples like how Singapore and how other countries like that are positively like Dubai, positively, you know, growing crypto. But you know, they're incentivized to do it. They want to grow the economy. It's like America wants to keep the world reserve currency, but they're cutting their own foot off by not adopting crypto out of fear of losing the world reserve. I mean, obviously you can see that I could heat it up about this. I'm very passionate about this, but listen, I don't want to talk in circles, but I want to know down below in the comments, if the SEC gets their way, what does that look like? But we do have the news, so let's talk about that. Tonight, we're diving into Hong Kong's JPEG scandal, which has rocked the crypto world and prompted regulatory crackdowns. Across the pond, the UK is sharpening its legal tools to seize crypto assets. But at what cost to financial freedom? In a surprising twist, FTX is suing the parents of its founder, Sam Bankman -Fried, for alleged misappropriation of funds. Meanwhile, the New York Department of Financial Services is tightening its grip on crypto firms with new guidelines. Down in Thailand, a new tax policy could discourage crypto trading by residents, and over in Malta, the blockchain island is aligning itself with new European crypto regulations. Since around the beginning of the year, we started bringing stories about Hong Kong's re -emergence into the world of crypto. We watched China turn a blind eye as Hong Kong politicians and officials appeared to soften their stance against crypto. We've watched as policies have been announced and licenses granted. Sadly, it seems Hong Kong's brand new crypto landscape is in turmoil thanks to the JPEG scandal. The Hong Kong police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the alleged fraud. The police received 1 ,641 complaints involving assets around HK $1 .19 billion. The authorities also seized cash, jewelry, computers, and phones worth about HK $8 million. Additionally, HK $15 million in relevant bank accounts were frozen, along with properties worth about HK $44 million. Hong Kong lawmaker Duncan Chu stated that the city is running its second round of consultation for stablecoin issuance guidelines. He hopes that regulatory guidelines for stablecoin issuers will be released by the middle of next year. This comes as Hong Kong aims to develop itself into a Web3 hub. In June, Hong Kong officially started its crypto licensing regime, allowing licensed exchanges to offer crypto trading services. The JPEG scandal is a glaring example of why regulation is both a necessity and a double -edged sword in the world of crypto. Hong Kong, unlike its hulking big brother China, has been more welcoming to crypto firms. Yet, the JPEG case shows that this openness can be exploited, and the government's response? Tighten the news. Hong Kong's chief executive announced increased efforts to inform investors to only use platforms with Securities and Futures Commission licenses. The JPEG case exposed the vulnerabilities in Hong Kong's crypto market, and it's clear that the government is now in damage control mode. The question is, will this lead to overregulation, thereby stifling innovation, or will it strike a balance, ensuring both growth and security? Either way, it's a critical moment for crypto in Hong Kong, and by extension for the global crypto community. The British are writing new laws that could redefine your notion of financial freedom. Is this an evolution or a step back? Let's find out. The UK is ramping up its efforts to combat crypto -related crimes. A new bill, known as the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill, is set to be enacted later this year. This legislation aims to empower local authorities with the ability to freeze and seize crypto assets tied to criminal activities more efficiently. The bill removes the need for an arrest or conviction before assets can be frozen. This is a significant change from the current laws. The bill also introduces new civil forfeiture powers. These allow assets to be seized even if a person is not convicted of a criminal offense. This is particularly useful in cases where the subject of the investigation is unlikely to face justice in the UK. The UK plans to spend $124 million to fight economic crimes, a 50 % increase compared to 2020. The bill has moved to its final stages in parliament and is awaiting final approval. Okay, where do I begin? The UK's new bill is a double -edged sword. On the one hand, it's a powerful tool for law enforcement. It can prevent criminals from moving their assets offshore before they're seized. But on the flip side, this could be a slippery slope towards more centralized control over crypto assets. The bill's broad powers could potentially be misused, leading to unjust seizures. Moreover, the UK's aggressive stance might push crypto activities to jurisdictions with lax regulations. This could make it even more challenging for global authorities to track illicit activities. The bill also raises questions about financial privacy. How much power should a government have to freeze and seize assets without a conviction? The UK's move is a clear signal that governments are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies. While the bill aims to fight economic crimes, it also sets a precedent that could be followed by other countries. This could lead to a global tightening of regulations around cryptocurrencies, which are something we should all be wary of. How you think seizing crypto assets without a conviction is shocking? Hold your horses. FTX is suing the parents of its founder. You heard that right. It's a family feud worth millions, and it raises some dark questions about ethics in the crypto world. Don't go anywhere. So that's gotta be a rough day. The day the company you founded sues the very people who gave you life. But that's what's happening as FTX is suing the parents of its founder, Sam Bankman Fried. The lawsuit aims to recover millions in quote, fraudulently transferred and misappropriated funds. Both parents, Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, are accused of exploiting their influence within FTX to enrich themselves. The lawsuit alleges that the parents received millions from FTX for personal benefit and their chosen causes. For instance, they received over $18 .9 million for a property in the Bahamas known as Blue Water. The parents are also accused of siphoning off money for lavish expenses like $1200 per night hotel stays. The filing further claims that Joseph Bankman had a unique understanding of FTX's complex corporate structure, which he used to facilitate a $10 million cash gift to himself and Fried. Barbara Fried was the point person for SPF's political contribution strategy and co -founded a political action committee that received tens of millions of dollars from FTX. The lawsuit also says that the parents were involved in FTX's business cradle to grave. Joseph Bankman is described as a de facto officer of FTX group with broad authority to make decisions. Barbara Fried was actively involved in FTX's political donations. The lawsuit against SPF's parents shines a glaring spotlight on the darker aspects of the crypto world. The case raises questions about the ethical boundaries within businesses in the crypto space. The parents, both law professors, should have known better. Their academic credentials add a veneer of legitimacy, making the allegations even more shocking. The involvement of Stanford law professors in such a scandal reminds us that even those in towers can be lured by the siren call of easy crypto riches. The lawsuit paints the picture of a family that used their intellectual prowess, not for the betterment of society, but for personal gain. It's easy to get caught up in the promise of decentralization and financial freedom, but this lawsuit shows that the same old vices, greed, corruption, and exploitation, can infiltrate even the most modern of financial systems. Welcome back to another brand new episode. This is a repeat guest, but someone who we talk about constantly. She changed my life. Not only does she change your life, but she's been on our mind for three years since the last time we spoke to her. And I couldn't believe it when I was looking at how long I had been since she'd been on the podcast. And I was like, wait, feels like we just spoke to her yesterday because I think about her constantly. That's so weird. I also think about her constantly. She is my secret girl crush as well. Who are we talking about? Nikki Novo. Nikki Novo, we had her on the podcast back in 2020 season 11, episode 14. What's holding you back? So she's an intuitive, she's an author. She wrote a fabulous new book and she did readings for us. So she did readings back in 2020. And for me, I was at a very pivotal point that I had just ended my relationship with my on again, off again boyfriend of five years. We had done that final in COVID. We're either doing this or we're not. All the same issues came back and I realized that I wasn't doing this and actually, okay, so another part of why Nikki Novo is so important in my life that I'm not even sure if I really fully shared is with my ex. One of the things that was really challenging with that relationship is that he was very hot and cold. Like it was like, I'm in love with you. I want to be with you. And then I need my space. I need time alone. And that was really hard for me. Like I did not do well with the inconsistency. And of course he did that again. It was like we had this wonderful time together and then it was, I need that space. And I went to the park and I was so like upset about this cause I'm like, here we go again. It's the same shit happening. And I read Nikki Novo's book, The Final Swipe, her first book, because we were prepping to have her on the podcast. And I remember reading the book and I was just like, I don't want this relationship anymore. And that was such a turning point for me. I think it was like that final turning point for me. Like I had been building that up for a while and then like reading that, like reading whatever she wrote resonated with me so much. And I like came home and I'm like, I don't want to do this anymore. No, no. That was The Final Swipe. It was The Final Swipe. It was done. It was done. Well, she has this way of just putting thoughts in such a clear framework. That it's not like it's new for you. It's not like those the first time you ever thought about this as being this being final. But she just puts it in a way that you're like, yeah, of course. Like, I don't want this. If you put it that way, I don't want this in my life. And this is the final straw or the final swipe. So I appreciate her clarity in the way she expresses herself. And when she did my reading, you know, I was like, just celebrate my two year anniversary. We were kind of fighting that whole weekend on our anniversary trip about what is the future. And she said, listen, no need to be so anxious. You are going to live a non -traditional life. Your path is non -traditional. So stop trying to fit into that traditional future that you see. I was like, done. That's all I need to hear. That's really interesting because like I OK, like in the moment, of course, when you were going through that and you had that reading, you were really trying to make it work with your ex. And I heard that as like maybe you don't get married, but you have like a non -traditional life with him. But now, like looking at where it's going, that could just be a lot broader than with him. Yes. Yes. And I think it was still applied to our relationship. We had a pretty non -traditional trajectory. But, you know, when this relationship ended, I was like, that doesn't need to be the path I go on, you know, and her words came back to me and I was like, yes, I'm meant for a non -traditional life. I know. And, you know, because when I did the reading, I just ended this relationship and then I was really at a crossroads of, OK, what's next? And she really gave me hope that this was my year, that the person was around the corner. You know, I did end up meeting my partner in that year from that reading. It was like my year around my birthday, as she predicted. But more than anything, it was the mindset shift it gave me. It was the fact that I had the confidence that it was going to happen. It was just a matter of when, not if. And I think that was like a big shift for me, because in the past, like I definitely had that thought, like, what if it never happens for me or what if I never meet this person? And just changing that mentality, going into every date and being like, OK, is it this person? And if it's not, then just being like, OK, it's going to be the next person. And she did warn me, too, of, you know, you're going to go through that like rocky time. And I definitely did. I was able to get through it because I didn't get discouraged. And it kind of goes back to that perseverance again. Like, I think that's so important of you just keep going because, OK, I don't think dating is a numbers game in the sense that you need to be dating all these people at once.
