Which Crypto Exchanges Are Staying or Leaving Canada?
"Jen, you got the first story we're going up north to Canada, at least. I guess you're already there. I'm already here. Yeah, I'm bringing you guys with me. Come on up north to Canada where crypto regulation is getting tighter. So regulation is tightening for crypto exchanges and firms are responding and cracking has filed pre registration paperwork with the Ontario securities commission to become a registered restricted dealer in Canada, coinbase is in talks to remain in the country while one of the articles will be discussing today says that it looks like finance is likely to leave Adam. I'm going to kick this off to you first. What do you make of these tighter regulations all the way up north? We've got the cold weather and now we can't even really interact with crypto the way we want to. Well, I'll leave some of the Canada specific sort of analysis for you, but my take on an overall is that Canada is largely dependent and drives a lot of its monetary policy by sort of what's going on here in the United States, policy around banking and stuff like that. The banking sector up in Canada is also significantly smaller and much more kind of involved with the state than we typically see down here in the U.S.. So it's not surprising to me that they're also on this sort of tightening regime. What seems to be nice at least about the Canadian rules, though, is that there do appear to be actual rules that they're giving for people to follow. And then you have a choice of who I want to follow these new rules or do I want to no longer do business in this country. And that's the choice that really I don't think has been given in the U.S. to many of the entities that are here and are trying to kind of do both. So not surprising to see that. Also not surprising to see that some exchanges are willing to double down on that kind of regulatory process. When you're an exchange like crack and you're an exchange like coinbase, the hoops you're already jumping through as a U.S. regulated entity are probably as onerous, maybe a little bit more onerous than what you're going to get up in Canada. So if your entire business model is built around jumping through all these regulatory hoops that 95% of the companies out there aren't willing to jump through, it does make sense to me that you would continue to jump through them in a market that was similar to

Government Cracks Down on Crypto Industry With Flurry of Actions
"How the United States government has decided it's a great idea to crack down on crypto Listen I don't know your take on crypto for this segment I don't mean to sound rude I don't care It's not relevant I frankly don't understand crypto that well I understand the technology but I don't understand the investment strategy with it that well So I stay away from it It's not a knock I just don't understand it that well I like gold I talk about a lot I prefer gold I'm just an old school investor I only invest in companies I understand and I try to stay diversified mutual funds I don't know a lot about crypto So I don't spend a lot of time on it When I want to talk about crypto we go to lay a halpern We bring around the show That's what she does It's what a smart host does right Sometimes being smart is when you're not smart you bring on people who are smarter And that's smart You don't have to know everything about everything You just have to understand what you don't know But that's for another segment The United States government is looking to crack down on crypto and starting to pressure banks again to stop doing business never let a crisis go to waste with banks holding significant crypto assets Why Because it's illegal Nope Why Because it could lose money Nope because it could gain money Nope They just don't like it Because they can't monitor it Why Because they learned a valuable lesson with the trucker strike up in Canada That this strike Trucker strike would have went on for a very long time If the dictator in Canada had not shut down crypto funding that was going through and Gibson go accounts They realize if they couldn't attack the money stream by locking up their political opponents which is what they did This was tyrannical what you do did to these truckers That crypto was a way to fund these things and it's scared the left So when the left gets scared what does it do It cracks that it cracks the web folks It cracks down immediately

WaPo: D.C. U.S. Attorney Declined to Prosecute 67% of Those Arrested
"From The Washington Post. This is not a conservative newspaper. Why the D.C. U.S. attorney declined to prosecute 67% of those arrested. That is beyond a scandal that is beyond an embarrassment, that is an epic an epic failure. And even The Washington Post is paying attention. I'm reading the article here as the district grapples with rising crime. Huh, wonder why crime is rising. I don't know. It's like the mystery of the shooter in Nashville. Wonder why she did it. I don't know. The New York Times headline. If The Washington Post revelation isn't bad enough, how about this New York Times headline this morning? I almost fell off the chair. Headline, investigators are still searching for a motive in the killing of 6 people at the coven in school in Nashville. You might want to crack open the manifesto that she wrote. Biden Cracks Jokes & Calls for Gun Reform Following Nashville Shooting
"Did you see the way the president of the United States responded, he wanted to address the school shooting, hours after it happened? And this is what he said. My name is Joe Biden. I'm doctor Joe Biden's husband. And I, Jenny's ice cream chocolate chip. I came down, but you heard there was chocolate chip ice cream. By the way, I have a whole refrigerator full upstairs. I think I'm kidding. No, no. Those were his first words. But then he got down to business after joking about his wife and ice cream and all that nonsense. Then he got down to delivering the message that he wanted to deliver. And we have to do more to stop gun violence. It's ripping our communities apart, ripping a soul, this nation, and ripped at the very soul of the nation. And we have to do more to protect our schools, so they aren't turned into prisons. You know, a shooter in this situation reported we had two assault weapons for the pistol to AK-47. So I call on Congress again to pass my assault weapons ban. It's about time that we began to make some more progress, but there's more to learn, but I just wanted to send my concern and hearts out to so many parents out there.

Tensions on the rise at revered Kyiv monastery complex
"The Russian invasion of Ukraine is reverberating in the courtyards of the Kev, with civilians helping resident monks remove belongings before a threatened government eviction on March 29th. The struggle for control of the lavra is part of a wider religious conflict playing out in parallel with the war, and the stakes are high. The complex has been called the pearl of Ukraine and the Vatican of Ukrainian orthodoxy. The government of Ukraine has already been cracking down on the Ukraine orthodox church, over its historic ties to the Russian Orthodox Church, whose leader patriarch kiril has supported Russian president Vladimir Putin. The USC has insisted that it is loyal to Ukraine and is even declared its independence from Moscow, but Ukrainian security agencies have claimed that some in the church have maintained close ties with Russia. The European government has also said that the lavra, including a USC seminary and offices, is a hub of Russian world propaganda. I'm Sarah Napa.

James Carville: A Trump Administration Vs. A DeSantis Administration
"But carville made the crack, you know, that everything's going well until you get hit in the mouth. You can have a plan until you get hit in the mouth. And basically, Trump is like iron Mike. We've got the carville cut somewhere, guys. Let's play Jim carville. Here's serpent head on TV show somewhere. I don't even know where. I'm sure it was MSNBC or CNN. Here's James carville talking about desantis who has been pretty low key about Donald Trump until recently, and then he's kind of stepped up his criticisms in at least laying out the differences between what a Trump administration would look like versus a desantis administration. Since desantis is getting a little more pointed in his critique of president Trump, that led carville to say this. You know, disaster proves that wisdom of Mike Tyson, everybody got a plan to hit him in the mouth. That guy, he doesn't know whether to wind his rear scratches watch. And he tried to play in the league that he can't play yet. And that's pretty evident. I'm being confused guy and Trump hit him in the mouth and he lost his plan. He just went totally off key. So my hats off to our mic. My hats off to, well, look at that. James carville praising Donald Trump.

A Winning Ticket Is Still a Trump-DeSantis Ticket
"Story of the presidential election. And the Republican primary. And folks, I came under attack by conservatives today. And the reason I came under attack is because I asked a question about Ron DeSantis, and it was, in my estimation, a legitimate legitimate question. And I want to, I want to share the backstory with you. Because if you're on Twitter, you'll see the attacks and you'll see my response. First of all, here's what I believe. This is my overarching belief. If you will. I believe president Trump deserves a second crack at this. And the reason why is because of all of the lies they spewed about him during the lead up to the election in 2016 and throughout the entire presidency. You take all of that away and there were all lies, all proven to be lies. You take all of that away and guess what? You get a Trump second term and you get one of the most successful presidencies of the modern presidential of the modern presidential time. So I believe the man deserves another shot at it. I believe that Ron desantis should be his running mate. And I believe that Ron DeSantis will make a great president one day, but I think Trump deserves another shot. Does that mean I'm going to go out there and destroy Ron DeSantis? No, absolutely not. Why would I do that? Why would any of us do that? We should we should want a winning ticket in 2024 and I believe that would be a winning ticket.

"Guys, I'm happy to welcome back to the podcast. before, doctor Michael foley. He's a theologian, Professor of patristics in the great text program at Baylor university, Professor of theology at the Aquinas institute, but I love these titles of his books, drinking with the same drinking with saint Nick and the politically incorrect guide to Christianity. We're going to talk about his book called dining with the saints, I think a very appropriate topic on Saint Patrick's Day. Doctor foley, thanks for joining me. Great to great to have you. I think you can see I've got the appropriate. I don't know if this is the right shade of green, but as you can imagine, I'm not really. Well, I'm not Irish. I guess I could maybe I should change d'souza to oh, Sousa. And then I then be I then be, I could then play the baby I identify as Irish. Okay. These days we're allowed to do that sort of thing. Talk to me about Saint Patrick's Day. It's a day, I didn't have any knowledge of before I came to the United States, and who was this guy with Saint Patrick, the guy who was who evangelized Ireland, is he what brought these crazy Irish people into the folds of Christian couldn't have been an easy task and that he did he used some large buckets of alcohol to get the job done? Well, he was a real person and you're absolutely right. He was the person who brought the faith to Ireland, there was an earlier missionary actually who tried and ran from the place screening. The iris was such a hard nut to crack. But he got a commission from the Pope to bring the faith to Ireland and by all historical accounts he did. He almost single handedly within his own lifetime, turned an entire island from being druids, which was a very dark and sinister religion into Christians. So it really is a singular accomplishment.

The Juneteenth Truth

Anthony Johnson, look it up. Don't listen to me, pull your car over. Put yourself on down. Put your vodka down. Put the crack tight down. I don't know whatever you're doing. Go do the research. Go look up Anthony Johnson. Slave owner. He was the first legal slave owner. Black man. He owned two black people for life. He ended up going to court and winning and ended up winning custody of them for life. There was hundreds of black people in the south who owned hundreds of slaves. Clearly, I believe white people were more prolific, but black people still own slaves. Choctaw Indian. In this enslaved, the chalks are ending was the last to release slaves in the history of this country. If you go look at Juneteenth, they got this whole victim recipe Juneteenth if they only knew that they were free, they would have done something they finally told the black man he was free on Juneteenth. No, it took a year later before the choctaw Indian release the black people that were there you had enslaved.

Seth, welcome to the program. Thanks for having me on. So I love your website. You know that. I've told you that many, many times before. I need that sort of levity, right? Given everything that's going on. But you guys went through a two double L and back over the last couple of years, like many of us did, but what was unusual about your situation? And I'd like you to speak to it a little bit. I also want to talk a little bit about the business of conservative media with you because you are such a entrepreneur on that front. You've had to deal with this censorship in a way that is pretty extraordinary, even when it comes to humor. What's up and like? Well, I mean, we faced a number of challenges with our humor. One of the things, which is kind of a funny one that doesn't really fit in with the censorship, but it has been a challenge nonetheless, is that half the time we make these jokes, they end up coming true. And so you have the situation where they're fulfilled prophecies instead of punch lines. We have a spreadsheet where we're tracking them now. We have like 90 plus jokes that have come true, which is just kind of a crazy sign of the times. I don't know if that's funny or disconcerting. I guess you can look at it either way. Just concerning, for sure. You guys. You guys are futurists in a way. Yeah, but you know, it started out for us, the censorship really started, we experienced it in 2018 initially, you know, Facebook was facing a lot of pressure to crack down on misinformation. Basically, the idea was Zuckerberg was responsible for Trump getting elected because he let conservatives talk too much. You know, God forbid, conservatives have a platform. You might end up with a Republican getting elected. So, you know, they were trying to crack down on the spread of misinformation. They started fact checking things. They started working with partners like snopes. And next thing you know, we ended up getting our jokes fact checked. We had the first one that was a really big deal was the CNN purchases industrial sized washing machine to spin the news before publication. That was a joke of ours, which is just silly. And it's like the image there is just this big washing machine with a CNN logo across the front of it. Snopes rates at falls, Facebook threatens to kick us off the platform if we keep spreading fake news. So, you know, we've been ever since then when that started, we were dealing with this issue of our jokes continually getting fact checked, getting flagged for incitement to violence, getting flagged for hateful conduct.

We spoke to Jamie Moore on talk sport two on the Friday and we were wishing them well and come back safe and sound. I thought it was going okay around the first four and then it just went horribly wrong. They're going to give him another go over fences. Should they, patty? I don't know. It was really hard to read that one. Because he got very warm, didn't he? He got very warm down to start cautioning he really was sweating. Very badly and I mean, is he sweating like a horse? He's nearly 7 year old, a gosh. He's been around enough is he sweating because of what's a common because he's hurting he's in pain, he didn't really jump left or right and overall, utterly jumped pretty good. You know, he just didn't really have a cut at his fences. He was wanting to run into the bottom of them and more safety first. It was there to be. And he didn't take any chances or do anything daft, but I gave credit to the other jockeys in the race, to be honest, I mean, because they were not going to let him have a freebie and get comfortable on the front end. They knew he's only a handicap horse. He was going to carry 1110, giving them all plenty of ways at his first crack over fences here. They were going to be because I think a big factor here was where to start was it was going to give Jimmy more a chance, you know, they were able to jump them fences on the side, then come uphill. It was going to give me a chance to get them settled and into rhythm. To your lads, I'm sure they said, which are hang on. Let's get, let's sit right in his boot and eyeball them early doors here. And if he's not out for it, or he's not really enjoying this chasing job, he should back out with it. And he started to back out with straight away on the downhill fences. You could tell Jamie Moore had very little harsh underneath him pretty quickly. So I thought, without obviously he was disappointed in it, he was beaten along well, but I thought your guys played a blinder here and they weren't going to let them get anywhere comfortable and so they took him out of the equation from a good way from a home. The thing is, gala road. He had questions to answer because he completely bombed out, didn't he a purse? It was really too bad to be true. So there was question to answer for some of the others as well. But I think they take that box pretty early doors. I mean, Gary Moore is a fantastic guy. He's a straight talker. He said they'll give him another bash, push. No, honestly, I'd say they're probably scratching their head a little bit as much as much as we are, but I'd love to see him conclude our fences, but there's no doubt he's got a bit, maybe even if he were back into it if they put him into a straight novel or beginners where there might be only another small field and they might let him loose on the front end. But be a bit of a head scratcher for me, the minute where they're going to go. He's a cork bag. I mean, that's just the best way of describing them. He's a cork

I like the offensive play calling and when it was time to make the big plays Trevor, we've seen those big plays being made by the Oregon Ducks today, and that's the thing it seemed like coming into this that Ohio State would have better talent top to bottom, and Oregon would have to execute better. And that's without The best football player in the game this year, Cavon Thibodeau, their defensive end pass rusher extraordinaire. He wasn't even on the field to disrupt the Ohio State office. Neither was just inflow. Another linebacker who is absolutely disruptive for Oregon, he wasn't playing because of injury and without two of the best players in the Pac 12, the best player in the country. The case of Thibodaux, they still looked Man for man speed for speed like they were at least as good as the Buckeyes. And I think that will surprise a lot of people nationwide who tend to see the Pac 12 is a nice little seven on seven, passing Lee Mario Crystal ball on the post game on Fox. Told the reporters that we were without five defensive starters here in this game, including Thibodeau, including Justin Flow. Just inflow was the Pac 12 freshman of the week with 14 tackles last weekend. President State he's a top 10 player coming out of high school came on Thibodeau was the number one player. Coming out of high school, and he showed why he is going to be a top five pick in the NFL draft upcoming But without those guys, look, this is an Ohio State team that had won 23 straight at home, in fact, was 23 regular season games. If you count conference Championship games under head coach Ryan Day, the Ducks only other road win against an AP ranked Big 10 team came back in 1989. They were always six as underdogs of 14 or more points, since 1997 like this is a win that crystal ball needed Oregon needed and Harry that the Pac 12 needed. Listen, and I like the way Mario Crystal Ball flexed a little bit Trevor, he flexed a little bit in his postgame show. We was at without five guys. Let the world know. Let the world know the church still that team but when it comes to the defense of side of the ball For for Oregon, the secondary guys. Those guys were up to the task today, even those he takes trial had over 450 yards passing. Even though those three receivers had over 100 yards. They made the plays when they needed to make the place and defensive coordinator For Ohio State. Kerry Combs. Now I don't know how many times Trevor you're gonna get beat on the same play over and over again for a touchdown, but at some point You have to start making adjustments. I could not believe my eyes. But Trevor, I was not dreaming. I literally was seeing the same play being ran in Ohio State, getting beat on touchdowns over and over and over again. They scored. Oregon scored three touchdowns and converted a third and six in the Red Zone on that same play a little bit different formations sometimes, but the same concept where they had one or two receivers wide to the left. They came down to seal inside. And then there was a toss or a handout outside, wide left, and Ohio State didn't have anybody out there to contain. And Trevor. I ran those plays actually in college and the pros. You ran both of those places well, and I remember being a receiver to the single receiver, and my job is to go in and block that linebacker who has that running back man to man coverage, because if you can get that guy block Nobody else has left. And then if you have a two man side when you have a two receivers, and one guy's motion and down his job is to block that defensive and sealed him and then the second wide receiver job is to seal that first bubble backer, and you've seen Oregon do it over and over and over again, so shout out to those receivers who who basically gave up their bodies for the greater good. That's what that's what you call being assist, man. You're not gonna always be Michael Jordan. It's okay to sometimes be John Stockton and give that exists..

You know about it? But as it was, she never did leave her mother's side and her mother never left her side. And despite all this effort, including a practice feeding mission with medicated fish in which salmon were shot through it to below the water. To this little whale who ignore the fish. You know, despite all that. She eventually just sank beneath the waves in September and of that same year and was never seen again. You mentioned that they are food Limited. Can you talk about how their fate is intertwined with that of chinook salmon? Why this particular salmon? I love that question. It's so frustrating to all of us who wish they would just eat something else, you know. Can't you pick something that's plentiful? Can't you be like the transient or Biggs killer whales that eat seals? And they're enormously fat and healthy and birthing. Calves, right and left or or as a matter of fact, why aren't you doing as well as the northern residents who also like the Southern residents eat only fish, primarily salmon, primarily chinook. Why aren't they doing as well as the northern residents? Well, the reason is the northern residents live in a place a lot more like Puget Sound used to be quieter water. Cleaner water and with access to many more runs, a greater variety and more abundant runs of chinook salmon, and, in fact, first crack at the Chinook coming out of Washington Rivers, which turned right when they emerged from the sailors. She and the Colombian snake and Head up to southeast Alaska, so the northern residents have it so much better than the southern residents. The southern residents primary foraging ranges from the Campbell River. Of Vancouver Island all the way south to where you are in California all the way to Monterey Bay. So these are your urban orcas. They live in the most urban environment of any orcas in the world, and they preferentially each nook because they are the biggest salmon in the sea. More calories for the hunting effort. And this made sense when they co evolved with the salmon because she took were plentiful. They're available year round, unlike other stocks of salmon, and they're big, and so it made perfect sense back then. But today with the massive depletion of chinook really throughout their range, but especially in the range of the southern resident from Puget Sound and the Salish Sea south to where you are These are some of the most endangered salmon runs, um, anywhere in North America. And in fact, the winter run Chinook, the frequent the Sacramento River system. They are one of the 10 species in the spotlight, as in of.

Time for a quiz. What does F M stand for? I know. You know Club? Yep. I know. What is it? Frequency modulation. Very nice. Due to teach it the that is correct. Thank you. What does am stand for Alfie? You can make me answer it. Yes, you know, they clone knows I'll answer it Go for amplitude modification and correct what was the first What was FM Frequency modulation. Okay. And so what? I am amplification modification. No, Jesus. You're messing up the second word Both times you're right with amplitude. What's the M in FM modulation. So what's the M and a M. Modulation. There you go. Okay, So when you actually change channels on an am radio, you're changing the amplitude of the signal on FM. You're changing. The frequency. Uh, in general in general, not always. But in general If the station's call letters start with a W What does that mean? Had to answer all this crap to get my degree. So I mean, if you want, I'll answer, but well, that will show you want to get first crack. That's fine, if you know, go for it. If you don't just say you don't know it's on the East Coast kind of area. Well, the most part. Yeah, no. All right, I'll you know, Go ahead, Alfie. So if it is east of the Mississippi, that's why I was kind of giving you this sort of just I needed a larger geographical area. Chances are it's it started with a W it was east of the Mississippi. There are, however, a lot of stations that are west of the Mississippi that are kind of grandfather in like us of time, exactly like W B, a P or w F a. A That's how you can tell the really old stations in the country west of the Mississippi If they start with a W. That station's been around for a very long time when they're newer stations. I love this state he talks about a taco tuesday. When he's hurt last year he said nope. The taco truck is being repaired. Which i like like another element of the name thing. I love it. I think he'll be attributed for the especially in the sense that we talked about before clark ends up having missed games. I'm excited for jokes on the outside. I don't think it'll be every snap. That's not what i'm saying here. But i am starting to think that that is his primary position and instead he'll be kicking in as opposed to what we were saying originally which was in kicking out. That's right and your point was right. And i think both things can be true right that he could primarily b. a. d. e. Which is what. He's talking about here that he's finally getting the opportunity to be the the main guy the star of the defense which is what the edge players are and also being a guy that could be used in other places on the line. Truly all of this money worked very hard for i. Slept in lately worked to the drugstore. My drugs attention. I'm an addict. But i get rewarded. I get paid to indulge in my habit. It's all an illusion wearing makeup wearing makeup makeup. It's great man. It's great i'm doing it. No justice by the way but what my point is like. He's director the cobblestones deep. It's a deep wonderful song about what it's like to be a comic. I think he has good in toronto struggle. I think at this specialist pro portraying those things. That's great my only problem with these alternative specials traditional right. I'm just saying that's call it. Let's make a new thing. Well it's called key making the comedy special because even back in the day when you saw like Like a we call them. One man shows one woman show right and you knew you weren't watching a comedy special. That's you're watching a different piece of art. Yeah so what. I don't appreciate is that now. They're doing these things and then shitting on the people that go the art form of going onstage and just doing standard just doing standup as if like oh. This isn't enough right. Say what are you talking about two separate thing too so totally separate thing. But i don't like that but the problem is now with like the youth like her age range. They don't they weren't used to that so like all their used to now is categorically a tiktok guy is a comedian. Do you know what i'm saying. The lines are blurred. I hear what you're saying. Yeah but i disagree as that being the reason what is it. No they are used to it. They just don't like because it sucks. I'm straight up. Yeah like listen to me. You go on netflix. And you look. How many comedy specials they have on there yeah they suck them a good amount of them just the ones that are good. They stand out. You know it's hard to make. It's a hard thing to achieve in anyone about the person not being funnier whatever. It is hard to capture what happens in live show. It's impossible so and then they were just handing out specials like candy. It didn't matter the most famous person in guatemala. You're getting a special famous person in fucking pick a country in europe. We're going to give you a special. And they just were like inundating. The these these young people with like all this stuff every network showtime hbo netflix amazon. And so now. If i was young now you'd be like why did they call it special because it's not anymore so i don't think it is anything to do with like they're not used to it. They're just like oh that's the thing that they do that. No one likes her watches. The problem is comedy is so hard to capture is. It is so so inherently specials are tough like they really just have to be a moment in time. That's why like eddie shit was great. 'cause it was a moment in time. He's also phenomenal performance. The comic a moment in time shit was happening it was. It was like an amalgamation of like his job. He's just becoming mega famous. He's a great writer. He's a great performer. He's just becoming globally famous. Like that was just timing was perfect. Seamless chapelle timing was perfect for dave. Yes but i don't even know if that's how a great special is born. But i was like the timing is perfect but with him dummy. And what's the timing of six specials. I just think that no. I'm saying when they first crack the first power. See the reason that they crack is because you know like sebastian didn't pop until his fourth special or what. But that's because the timing wasn't right for the early ones he wasn't he wasn't funny. He was funny. But we're all funny. Everyone that's good enough professional. You're funny you'll go ripa room anywhere. This special. the idea of a special. Bobby won't make one which i agree with because it's so hard to capture what you really want to put down forever and you have to have material..

The number of ways in which traditional macroeconomic thinking has been thrown out the window in the last ten. And so it's a crazy time and and you know it's it's. It's a hard time to predict what's going to happen. There's a lot of variables. So yeah i. I don't know that. I haven't answers here. I will add that when i'm when i'm in my doomsday. Mode and thinking that the global financial system is on the verge of collapse. I i go to greg for reassurance and usually calms me down lets you have it. Well listen i've got both of you here. I recently did an interview with weinstein. And we them weinstein. And why politics their expert. Eric weinstein we had a quite large section of the interview was discussing inflation and cpi rates and his ideas that we need to challenge these people a lot of stuff in there. I didn't understand. I felt about my normal duty which is a smart person to explain things. I can understand it though. Everyone can stand. I failed that time by did. Have one one question from that. You'll discerning also this greg williams to take a but he kept referring to neoclassical economics. Okay what the hell is that. So what is neoclassical economics. Yeah i'm happy to take the first crack at it and willie jumping as well. In my view. Neoclassical economics is essentially the economics. That you learn in econo one. So this is the class that williams. I sat in together in college. And it's based fundamentally on a series of models. The simplest of those models is supply and demand That you know. A price is reached in a marketplace based on fluctuations in supply and fluctuations in demand. So i think that's the most example of one of those models. But you know the the real challenge with neoclassical economics is that it's taught in the schools. It's you know if you have if you've taken one course in economics that's what you learn but then when you get out into the real world start digging into the data and start seeing seeing how things actually work you find that a lot of these models. Don't hold up in practice you know. There's there's endless examples of that. And i think that's you know it's a shame that that the introduction most people have to economics is is in that fashion and is in a way. That doesn't necessarily help..

"That was a little posted prior to the rave reviews. It was just that jordan loves first crack at two minute. Drill fairly gets passed. smithfield's sky in a pass over. Why leaked taylor. Wide open mom. So i think there's a responsibility for all reporters all packers media to sort of feed the content beast of the jordan law. Aaron rodgers saga. How much am i as a as a consumer of this content supposed to spoke. Take from this. Am i supposed to like wow look. Good he's ready. They don't need earn. Rogers doesn't look good. They screwed up the draft. Pick all that. It's practice like what am i. How am i supposed to view these reports coach. Here's booker resume are looking entertainment. It that that's all it is and and there's is such a crazy difference between what's going on right now and what happens even in preseason games at the speed dependable and then once you get in the regular season things changed so much so much more and end the things you have to deal with are dramatically different and the pressure is different right now. It's beautiful weather. Everything is set up for him to be successful and look. Don't underestimate that either. The coach will script for success especially for a young quarterback. You go so that the guys around him believe in him. They want everybody to see jordan having as much success as possible so that they're likely okay. We'll we'll be alright with him. There's always an element of setting up some softballs guys the hit out of the park. Especially if you've got a lot invested in coach. I'm glad that you're pulling back the curtain a little bit because a lot of times. We don't know what all goes into coaching and preparing for you know a practice or the week or or game plan and one last things you guys do. Every single day every single night script the plays script the next day everything scripted down to the minute like all right this minute. We're going to be on this field. This part of the field. This is what this is the drill. We're going to do so when you talk scripting for success while you know your questions as far as like as a consumer what am i supposed to be following. How should i. How should i take this. You got to understand what is what is coming out of practice. The two minute drill that you refer to a lot of times. That's live a lot of times. That's real where you throw our. Here's our number one offense number two defense and the defensive coordinator is going to call it up and down ended up in the office coordinator going up and we'll see what happens so you want to see this succeed in those moments but then when we're talking about seven on seven we're talking about eleven on eleven those things are scripted like cosette scripted for success. We know that this is going to be covered three. I know that. I got to clear out. I'm not getting the ball. Saw this corner route is probably going to come open. So the quarterback jay cutler is gonna look at the corner to the flat. So i know the job and everybody feel knows it so as a consumer you just have to understand what part of practice you're looking at and what they're talking about nick. Yeah i think a lot of these things and this is where top spot of. You're a player. Rave reviews are far less meaningful than negative reviews. Because it is as you guys. Coach was saying brandon then amplified. It is set up for success so you you take a little bit from guys the offensive side of the ball succeeding. That you can maybe take a lot when they don't when it is obviously going to be far more difficult circumstances in a game or against a team that is not. You're not you know scheming say scheming. But you're not scripting. Is the word i was looking for. Exactly what you're going to be doing on offense and deepens. I brennan jimmy. The most meaningful part of this entire jordan loves comments or when he said i was drafted to play quarterback. He seems to recognize what aaron rodgers seems to recognize. What brian gouden kunst backers for an office is trying to do a little. Shell game to make it. Seem like it's not the case during loves like hey guys a first round. Pick return in an era where we're in immediately north. That's why i'm here right. So what do you want from me right. And and i don't blame jordan at all. Obviously but i also don't blame rogers for reading the exact way jordan ready. You drafted him to quarterback so now he's going to play quarterback and i'm gonna watch from afar and see what you do with me if i'm aaron rodgers. Listen i love everything. That's coming out of packers. Can't right now when it comes to jordan love. His demeanor sense of urgency. How he's conducted himself in front of the cameras. I absolutely love it. It's like look. I don't care about that right now is next man up. Aaron rodgers is not walking in his building. This offseason the hell. He may not ever walk here again. This is my team so absolutely love that now. Let's see what he would he does. Let's see let's see if those fiery emojis continue to come out of packers can't from people some people's covering this team last year. That was a big deal. It was all bad because he will. He was thinking it up. That's why we're patrick. Mahomes did was so significant because his rookie year. Nick as you know it was like. Oh my god. This is amazing believable script. They knew they knew where he was telling. Holes to throw the ball and he still was ripping up that defense. So we want to see jordan love. Do it went on the other side. So if he does that pakistan position. Let's take a turn. Nixon handout. Some nba playoff metals. The joker twenty four points. Thirteen boards six assists last night in game two but the nuggets lost again. It was not pretty and thus joker missed out on a medal. Nick which three guys did it better. Three guys on the winning team only one game last night. So when all sons podium bronze-medal deondraye eight fifteen and ten per deondraye and another game where he gives you just enough. In comparison to joker to the sons clearly superior back court lead them home. Speaking of that back devon booker. He's got more of a wing twitter backward frontcourt eighteen in denver devon booker quiet game but still good enough for silver and then the gold. The guy who should be able to hang this gold medal around the mvp award. He should one chris. Paul seventeen fifteen zero turnovers in this series. So far he now has twenty six assists and one term or the point. God does coach. I know you're watching the state up to watch the game. I kicked him. Nba basketball mike. My gold medal goes to the post game. Press conference with michael malone to me. He kept peptic real. It's it's one of those things where when you get blown out like that play up whether it's of anything and you don't have the effort you don't have the intensity you don't you don't have other resilience that that's a problem and you may look at it and say well you need do a better job. Getting those guys motivated but one thing about the playoffs is it says realist wars moment as you can get and if you have guys that need to get motivated to play argument they probably have had the wrong is and his honesty his bluntness and the real with that. I think it'd be exact message. They need to hear denver. Motivate the whole truth. Nothing but the truth from michael malone while to just missed the cut a joker had a good pass out good pass but can't spark pass in the night chicago sky. Great.

"Be honest with the i know it. It like riles people up. And i didn't have making the roster and he's not. I don't think he's necessarily like not going to make the roster. But i think it's certainly something that should be on people's radar thing. Yeah i don't think what no offense. No great great athlete. I think he deserves to be on a roster but all all he does is run very does run extremely fast. That's what he has. He has good sized too. I mean i think he plays her two hundred so he's got to see. Has it helped. The graham statler techniques need still need some polish Niessen polish heating bala tracking abilities still needs some polish again. The only league thing do very well is he can run as it sounds like a special team has sound like a key guy. You're cornerback rotation. So i think he'd really is fighting force. Flatman is not a guaranteed. Unless you're things yeah. So yeah. So i i like that. We are also hearing. Is oliver getting the first chance in the slot. Play a lot better there. Yeah so you know. That's that's cool. avery. Williams and darren hall. I don't you're the one that's watch holiday. You think he's more of an outsider slot guy in the nfl. I think hall was more of a balaji corner hall is is going to be the one that's gonna give sheffield a fight for that russia spot. I think halls gonna make the roster. It'd be now he's you know he's gonna saying like if if sheffield wants to stay on the roster he's gone best that's one guy that he's going to have to be better than and i'm not quite sure he will be to be honest with you. darren hall is the what darren hall has that jeff doesn't show is this stakes are gonna stand out or did he ever harbor interception already at some point otas rookie navy. Maybe that yeah. I think he was the one that did come down with something like his first. The first or second Rookie minicamp so it was like this right there. He's already showing went as better than kenosha. Yeah that's the thing like an indian. Ps defense you just gotta be opportunistic. And like i think. Ship dan quinn. You know. Valued athletes at corner a lot. More and i think we've seen from the two picks the falcons had they went after guys. Who were ball hawks. Some guys that are opportunistic. Because i think the fa- dp and the facts understand like look. We're not going to out talent. He went on defense especially this year. So like we just need to come up with like a turn if we can average like one turnover a game better like that might be enough for our offense like if our offense is what we think it can be and we can run the ball a bit better like we might not need to be a great defense. We just need to create a turnover to shorten the game a little bit and then we could get by with blitzing and kind of covering up in papering over the weaknesses on this defense by being aggressive. And look. we're gonna make mistakes too. But i think that's the best strategy so we said that after the draft we pointed out the fact that what they have in the secondary right now are are a number of guys that are able to capitalize on turnovers because of their ball skills. This is going to be a. We may not see a guy that has the visit sax this year. I'm willing to bet that. But i think we'll ps is going to try to incorporate. Is that aggressive front. Seven and a back in a secondary that is able to make those plays. Because again you're going to see you wanna see some rush throws you're going to see some overthrows piracy's and tip passes. You're gonna see some some quarterbacks that are fluster trying to make a play and on backing unique guys that can turn into receivers with the ball near. And that's what they did with darren hall and enrichment so yeah. Yeah so it's yeah. I think the secondary is kind of coming together a little bit. I mean. I think it's gonna be great. But you know as opposed to where we stood after they cut ricardo allen. And let walk. And let davante as you walk like. It's doron harmon. Richie grant eric harris eight. That's decent three safety group. Like i mean it's not maybe the highest end group in the nfl but it's very versatile. All three of those guys can play in the box poor deep or cover to look so they can move around like the. Mp's likes you know. I think the corner group is not great. I mean we'll have to see how the rookies do. And i do think they make another addition cornerback or a linebacker. Probably the two most likely spots that are maybe edge on defense but like like. Jc jackson would be perfect like that. I think would really take this over the edge. You don't have to force fabian. Moreau to star outside. But i think they'd be moreau's probably better as like your corner three your primary backup and then you. Can you have oliver in the slot or whoever but more rose. I think i think so. Too honestly. like marc mckee's farm jesse jackson. But yeah right is. He's not he's not. You know a special type of talent but you know. He's i think he's gonna be just fine out there he. He played very well at times in washington on edge it was it was the slap where they try and the washington try to make him be a slot corner in s mathis day. And and that's where he that's why he went awry I think a like a monday or manage. Yeah yeah. I liked that a lot better to see. We'll see what darren hall and avery williams. Like i don't know if he's going to get a lot of run on defense this year but i think they're going to see what they have and see if they can trust him to play the slot in the future. Maybe he's a guy that just needs more experience. I think but. I think his freshman and sophomore year. She had eight and nine pass deflections in each year. So he's a guy that can get his hands on. The football size is really his thing. So we'll see if We'll see if he can carve out a role too. But yeah i mean williams's path will be special teams and we haven't heard too much about how that competition between him enroll into going. But i think darren hall. Probably pretty safe kendall sheffield. Is someone who we talked about. Probably going to have to show something in camp. Unless he's banking on them keeping six corners which we know dean pees likes to run a lot of three safety stuff so you know them. Keeping six is not a guarantee they might want to keep five safeties. Tj green guy. A lot of people don't know he did. Green is a good player. Like he's he's a decent. You know extra safety and they still jalen hawkins too so they might want to keep five safeties. I think a lot of that also is going to depend on. And we got. We just got done with this. What is not the result of a. Julio trade is far as clearing that castaways because they get the cap space that they're looking for they're going to have some extra cash to to bring in some free agents all season and you're still a couple of guys at there on on the market as safety that i think you know the team may give a look me cooker is one guy that comes to mind Often injured but you know if he's healthy and he's he's able to incorporate those ball skills as well right. He's going to be a nice pickup for this offense secondary month. Yeah i agree. I agree so all right next. Topic left guard battle. One of the most interesting battles most important battles of training camp so far it looks like josh andrews is leading the competition which is surprising because like we said like twitter. "Are more in the realm of plausibility that you could definitely see something like that. And danny aines stated that if the celtics are to upgrade anywhere. It's a walk a four. Who can shoot in theory. Lamarcus aldridge is fat guy. I know alex is going to struggle with the thirty second thing. Dr quinn. the binder solid. I'm selling like in theory. He could fit. But i mean right. Now there's no room for him even if they do get rid of one big of a really gonna wanna big who's clearly gonna want a bigger role one of the reasons he's leaving san antonio is because he's not happy about being benched. Miami really wants him and tried to trade for him and his confident. They're gonna get him if they can't trade for him so i don't think he's coming to boston. Yeah i'm gonna saw that too. I think it's a an exercise in how the dog days of the regular season media Stories kind of cycle and get spread but like Anyone with a ten thousand foot view knows that lamarcus aldridge will not be playing for the celtics That said alex you can teased this. There has been talk of not just in thompson trade but a specific tristan thompson trade tristan thompson Being sent to his homeland to the toronto raptors. Even if they're playing in. Tampa bay. Dr clinton you get first crack you buying or selling tristan thompson to the toronto raptors. I mean it makes sense if you're going to send him someplace and it's going to be a contender as you would like it to be. And that's the only team i can think of. That makes any sense whatsoever for me. Cleveland that would make any sense. So i'm conditionally very very delicately buying alex. Yeah i could see it. I think tristan thompson obviously as a major toronto. The important thing with trading tristan thompson is you want to send him to a place where he's happy because that clutch connect is really really important. Celtics already have a bad reputation with clutch as it is a probably can't afford for it to get any worse but i think sending tristan thompson to toronto makes sense for toronto definitely and if the celtics are looking to change some things about their roster thompson is probably the most obvious trade candidates so really anywhere that you can send him that he will be happy. I think it's something that you should consider.

"A service game. Try and counter destiny and we've seen many coming on hell. Anthem just got cancelled. Officially on the way is this more of a contemporary game or is arrested and understand what that means okay so by contemporary. It's taking place in modern times or is it look more like a futuristic ties. Bizarre fight share. We're nine on earth so a very much going to tell you the story of you let go but you know i'll get to it okay. But yeah it's they're trying to do with destiny's doing they're trying to do this and third person which is anthem. Try to do and didn't do a great job. Division tried to do they were okay but it wasn't amazing and then a vendors tried to do and we all know how that went so it got disassembled now. Writers made by the people are the people of people can fly who some people remember for bullet storm. They also did work on gears of war gears more judgment. Was there one solo project that they did but they did part of the original trilogy with epoch. Painkiller is like the original series that they were known for back thousands. This is really the first crack a real like new. Ip storm technically was that but it was also more like a fun. Like just. Try thing this one. They're they're putting some real effort it shows like even though. This thing is a little bit buggy. It's not it's pretty damn good so the game essentially is that what happens is earth goes to shit. We don't even know why the aliens could just be the planet just eventually said fuck. You kicking you guys off so eventually. They realized they have to leave. So they find a plan of they might be inhabitable so they send a ship with shift on a trial pods. And you are. What's known as an outrider which is essentially a colonizer. You're out there to make sure that this place somewhere that you can send the rest of the kreil fights down and start. Colonizing and everything seems fine at first beautiful fucking landscape. The game starts off amazingly. Well it's almost like what massive mcdan- dramas should've been instead of coming to a planet that's fucked you come to a planet that's about to be fucked but you know yet so you get their reading's fine. Sorry what as long as there's fucking somewhere.

"Be right back. Welcome back this last week. We had kind of an interesting conversation in the vip group. We wanted to bring you in on. I wanted to know brandon. I talked about this and we wanted to know what is the first thing everyone is gonna do when they finally go back to the ballpark and i have my opinions. Brad has his opinions. They're not that different. As i'm sure you could guess but we did hear a number of really interesting opinions. Come up from the discussion on the on the group and i think we should just go ahead and say that universally. Everybody is very excited about hot dogs. Yeah yeah Even though it's so funny because they're not good. Like i guess good not great. But there's something special about a hotdog at the ballpark right. It's true it is a magical thing. And i don't even understand why but it doesn't matter just is right. Yeah yeah yeah but yeah. I mean we're we're all gonna get hot dog and i mean for me for me. The one thing that. I wanna make sure that i do. Is i want to be somewhere where i can hear the pop the glove on the very first pitch. And you know whether that's the bachelor's degree hitch of the pitcher warming up before the game you know throwing his first. Eight eight warmup tosses or if it's the first pitch of the game i mean. I'm assuming that if i'm here while he's warming up. I'll be able to hear it when the game is actually going. You know. that's the sound that i'm waiting for. And the other sound. I'm waiting for is the first crack of the bat especially homerun because it just sounds so good. It's so different. It is different era really is and maybe it'll be way more different way more different. Ter- sounded weird coming out. It'll be way different Could be different with the new modified baseball. I don't know we'll see if that proves true or not but they could affect the sound. it could Yeah it's not much of a rock hidden hitting the back of the glove there. But i don't know either way Those fastball sometime. Sound like shotguns. So i'm excited to hear that sound. It's gonna hit the glove. I think you're going to hear the same thing. But i mean when it comes off the bat. I wonder if that'll change interest. I had a couple of these conversations on on the group. But my i'm gonna use it almost as a mindfulness exercise. I know that sounds new. Age and hippie and all that but i really am gonna sit there probably in the concourse rights looking out on the field and i'm just going to close my eyes and i'm just going to say i'm going to try and identify as many different sounds and smells and different things that can and then i'm gonna open my eyes and i'm gonna look in an appreciated the color and everything and i i really am going to just forced myself to slow down to not take it for granted ever again When it'll happen. I'll do it again for sure but not in that moment. I'm not gonna let myself for that first ballgame. I'm not going to let myself take it for granted. I'm just gonna stand there and be grateful. Nappy.

"I wouldn't. I don't i think the way i would have listened to talk about. This would have been to take it and then put an inside the contraption my head and be like oh here's why i have exactly what they're talking about while simultaneously being like and never mind the fact that there's no intimacy in my marriage and never mind the fact that i'm often surrounded by people and feel completely alone. Let's not worry about those things. Because he was all the reasons. Why already have stay more from there. But i just want to pause to give you chance to put me in right direction. If there's a direction. I to go from that initial statement. Yeah let me with like back when i'm hearing Rewriting when i hear you talk does a lot of residents because i see myself in the story that you share like i said very beginning like Talking to a kindred spirit. I get because i've been there so i totally understand the younger. Ck would be the the bodies whole job is to carry the head. Everything is about the head is about figuring things out is about being cerebral. As being bopping the smartest in and forgetting that there are moments where. I'm surrounded by people who love me surrounded by people who i'm blessed be with and yet still feel very isolated very alone and it never really appreciating like. Oh it's just an phenomenon being associated yes with the present moment with the body and it wasn't until a few years ago like oh all these theories that are read about on the dalai lama from the hallway. Man a this is what they mean. This experience so much better than just saying here so i remember for me. The the moment it the moment i started to click like the moment there is even this thought the community my head. There could be something beyond what i have because the the way we construct reality is there the perfectly contained so like my beliefs about everything encompasses everything and there's not much room for anything beyond that until someone knocks me off of my my path and i'm like holy crap there's so much more available and i didn't realize that and so the first crack in the perfectly constructed reality i had was when someone was working with me and they asked me. Have you ever been devastated by love. And i remember very clearly being like. I don't even know what that means. So let's go with no and that was the that didn't solve anything but that was just the first crack. Oh there's an idea concept way of love occurring. That is totally foreign to me. I couldn't even tell you what that would be. Liked devastated by love..
