That i don't think you want to emulate andrew in any way shape or form. No but he has inspired me to. Whenever i think of something when i'm watching sports rob regularly played into phone so that i can Should yeah no. It's a good way to do it. It's a good way to do it. let's see what the you often forget them right. If you write them down you put him in the following and you and you've got timeless once you could use way down the road all that so we'll see what what in three thousand has on right. Well is what three thousand it's hot. I'll let's go to j in the bucks of the people who go been here before. Patrick mahomes the. Nfl is the equivalent of steph curry to the nba. Unorthodox athletic revolutionary may end up being the goat but every football loving kid will wanna be him. Steph curry does a huge q. Rating even out of market right. Everybody loves steph. Trees a very nice guy. Got a stylish. Little game comes off very well on television interviews. A here's the other thing in a league filled with giants. He's more relatable because he's like normal sized normal breath he just. Yeah he's he's the both of them have just the right amount of swagger with a yes coming off too arrogant correct and they're both spectacular enough to that. They have the factor. Is walter not just personality. I don't know how how sizzling take this is like. Yeah just great players great. I mean well. No but the part i like his may not end up being the goat but every football loving kid will wanna be him. You will be the goat. There's no chance against lost teaches. Take that part out of it. Either of them are going to be the goat if going by championship. Curry's not gonna go. He's not close wonderful player. I it's not just good player is good though. I get the point of the take because like steph curry change. The game like the the three pointer the dishes three exactly jocking him up at all times and and then of course mahomes did the same thing we talked about stafford kind of having those unorthodox throws mahomes perfected them and brought it into the game. So i see the take. It's definitely hot. It's not sizzling hot overruled there. Have you seen barrages a mba jerseys last year. Where do you think Steph curry was the most popular top. Fifteen he's in the top fifteen Okay guy was going to say five seventh. He was the third year before in two thousand ten. Well of course you know. They haven't done a lot of winning their running mates injured farush by the two thousand twenty two. Nfl draft. Aaron rodgers and russell wilson will have.

"And all that kind of thing And i i you know. I mean imagine in the end. They're crossing their fingers and open that all the guys especially all the guys that have traveling to canada from abroad. We'll get done because otherwise after quarantine and you know i mean. Not that is the hammer. If the quarantine remains in the end you know they could go for the natural net national interest exemption which you know. Mls i mean. They got themselves at the end of the season But as far as i understand it doesn't carry over into the next and that was technically only allowed for training for there. Were some weird wording around it that they were able to use to get to get teams across the board for the playoffs but mls in major league. Baseball have gotten that approval from the federal government to allow these teams to travel in and out. But you know i that takes a lotta hoops a lot. A lot of effort to me happen. I i don't imagine the nhl would like to do that again. I'd rather than i imagined. They would just looks like guys. The rules are here. Canada's made it clear what he what it means to get across the border. You know who knows whether there's any kind of change in the americans deal with reality delta narrow break but yeah i as it stands. They're sorta open. The guys will just figure it out based on how things are at the moment and I'm sure there's you know few guys that are unhappy about in you deal with it. That's that's how society look we're trying to make it. We're trying to end the stupidity trying to end. "The optimism is nearly as there. But i mean i see sort of another preseason where can nation is optimistic and pretty much every other. Nhl market doesn't think much of their team fair. It's it's the. It's the big splash thing right. You know they went out. They obviously made a big trade Picked up obviously the high profile named alva rex. and let's not sleep on connor garland. But it's still a bet on ecm larson being better than he's been in recent years i don't think they're trading for norris trophy defenseman but they're they're they're trading for player they believe can be better. It's a big bet right but it's splashy it's a name has been talked about for awhile. overhauling i mean overhauling. If you will the defense if you wanna call it that but at the same time you know tucker pullman travis hammock are going to be asked to do a lot more than i think is really what they're capable of that to me in. The end is going to be where the bulk of the story. The season lies. I mean along with ken thatcher. Damn co keep it keep going. I mean you had you had a pretty good rookie season. Not an amazing rookie. Season had a really good stretch but some really bad stretches this past season came. He put it all together. Be that consistent guy. You know fifty five sixty nights this year Does your whole still have what they need from your to be that solid backup goaltender. I mean that's been a story here for for so long with the exception really. I suppose the cory schneider years and and you know briefly. I guess you know various points. When eddie lack had a good run vine ryan miller when jacob from i showed up i suppose but really the you know the the struggles of the backup. Goalie was such a story for so long here You know you wonder if that'll be back and they should be able to to score in bunches but at the same time. There's a lot of pressure on that defense and you know. I think the outside view is that you know to go back to your point. This defense isn't good. Nothing even with Hughes returning to some of the form he had they're going to have some challenges Which we saw plenty of last year. This was not a good defense team last year. Obviously the mix is a bit different But let's not forget that even in nineteen twenty when they were sort of lauded for improving playing up tempo hockey. They weren't great in their own end. Either i'm really not looking forward to the analysis of all ackman larson all season long because the minute us criticize him once this year be like guys never gave him a chance. I am not looking for the case. guarantee you. it'll be. I mean if you're talking about pointing out a mistake on opening night in a win yeah sure but you know i i think you know if it becomes clear that he's not the guy he used to be. I mean i think he's a very intelligent fan base..

"So you know you can reinvent yourself you go do something like that exactly I know you don't regret being a cincinnati reds. You'd love it there and are just so proud of the longer you've had there. In such an historic franchise going back to the eighteen hundreds. It's very cool. Spot to be for and i know you do feel love from canadians. But i think it's it's unequivocal. The argument can be made. If you were a yankee. Ajay one of the the marquee markets. That you'd be probably on every lunchbox in canada. How much love do you feel. You feel it but do you. Do you feel the overwhelming support of canada as you probably should as an mvp and maybe a couple of time mvp by the time your career is over. Here's my take on that. So somebody asked me about. Larry walker and how i felt about him as a player and i said honestly i don't know anything about him as a player. I knew about him once. I started understanding the dynamics of how difficult what he did. Was you know but as a sixteen year old fourteen year old eighteen year old. I knew there was a player in colorado. That was canadian. That is canadian That was playing fantastic baseball. But he wasn't on you know he wasn't on at the time. I don't know if there's was roger sports now. I don't remember what channel it was on. I do remember. I do remember the commercials though apple auto glass but Black and decker. I remember all those all those commercials but I don't remember having the opportunity to watch the great larry walker and and so as far as How my my you know my connection with canadians and and being you know on the lunchboxes etc it's it's nearly impossible because baseball such a re regional sport if i was winning most valuable players in the nfl which is more of a National sport and and we get to watch that on on sundays. Mondays thursdays in In canada and that's different you know if you're if you're if you know for example mahomes or brady are canadian. We're going crazy about that. Because the national sport but it's hard to be a fan of athletics player mariners player maybe not mariners but athletics player rangers player. No matter how well they play it's still regional so My expectations are really very very low. and i. I don't as far as feeling love. That's not really realistic. That's not really realistic so i go back home. Almost i'm i'm rarely if ever recognized But i get that up for when i'm in cincinnati because everywhere i go i get recognized and even in the mid even in the mid west. I mean all through the midwest. It's an honor to be get the hallows and autograph request and picture question and and catching up with people. Because they're they. I'm inside of that general area..

"We're having fun taking hacks and showing off and that's exactly how i feel in a majorly uniform. Which is a gift at gift to me. I can't tell you how much joy gives me well. Twenty eight home runs its To away from being the third most of your career and all but certainly will be over thirty and challenging for your best ever homerun. Wise were with the twenty ten national league. mvp cincinnati reds first. Baseman joey votto. It was about a year ago. When we were talking larry walker when he was tipping his cap and of course stepping into cooperstown. The only canadian with three thousand hits. We know you're sort of keno. He doesn't he didn't he didn't have he didn't have three thousand. I think he had two three nine one two nine one or two three nine one. It was like i. I know these things do. I'm gonna i'm gonna i'm gonna from my man I know these things. That's okay. i know these things. Just because i admire his career. Not because i'm gone in for him but Yeah larry larry larry I'll let you finish your thought but one of the one of the best players in the last thirty forty years well first of all. Thank you for the correction. Secondly i was gonna say your session aficionado of canadian baseball. But i think you prove that right there Do you wanna follow in his footsteps. The cooperstown is that something. That's on your radar as you hit these milestones. My answer to that is i. I i wanna play really really well Through the finish line. I wanna run. I wanna run through the finish line through nuts crawl through So as far as cooperstown. That's the sort of thing that that it's an odd goal the set. It's an odd goal to set. First of all subjective. Highly subjective second of all. It's a lot of its character based Of course performance is most of the way but from my perspective I want i want to wear my uniform be productive and then take it off and not pick up a batter or or put on the uniform ever again sort of thing. Well may maybe like a special assistant or helping some some kids In in in in a minor league system say something along those lines but as far as something. That's so out of my hands. You know. I i my the best year my i'll give you an example my best the best year my career was in two thousand seventeen and in two thousand and ten. I wanna most valuable player and i. I was proud of that. You're I was given an award and in two thousand seventeen. I was more proud of that year..

"Really i mean rob knows that. I know that he knows that. I know that is measured in kilowatts. So he's just trying to poke the bear. I'm not so easily provoked. Cassie that will leave it at that. we'll leave it at that as mentioned yesterday caught up with well just one of the best athletes. This country has produced this entry. It's that simple fifteen years in cincinnati as their first baseman and national league. Mvp and he's a contender again. Here's our conversation with joey votto with cincinnati reds first baseman. Joey votto one of two canadians with two thousand hits in the major leagues and accomplished just last week joy. Thanks for making time appreciate it. Thank you both for having me. We saw the ovation. We you got. We saw the Recognition that you gave back to the crowd upon two thousand hits wanted to media. I've been in one uniform in one city. Mine tire major league career. I was raised through the reds minor league system as well drafted by them in two thousand and two and You know there's there's moments meaningful moments go by very very quickly and if you don't catch him as a major leaguer the they'll slip through your hands and that was one of those moments that it may have lasted tier three minutes but was very very memorable. I was able to connect with with the city. That means a great deal to me. That's been so good to me. I was. I was able to do it in a uniform. That's familiar that feels like home and You know i. I'm very proud to have i. Didn't i wasn't trying to time it this way but Get my two thousand hit in cincinnati in front of the home crowd. Saved it up good for you. The career has been a along an amazing one for you. And it just seems to me that you've seemingly savored it even more and you've always been accessible doing interviews like this wrote your career but it seems like in the last handful of years particular you're really stopping and smelling the roses in your career. It really savoring every moment. Enjoying what you do playing baseball and also interacting with the fans and everything. "Now number one for podcasts. Loggins kind of ruled the world did he set to appreciate the era of killing Loggins, and I'll every single soundtrack Caddyshack footloose topgun killed it there for like several also entire decade. Would you say that he was kind of in the zone? In the danger zone I would say. He was in. Even the first choice to do. The top gun soundtrack was actually supposed to go to TOTO. Toto was, yes. Yeah. Hold roxanne. Yeah. For me with the celebrate their. It doesn't get any better than when a man loves. Yes, Stephen never get these references. I know I know. Shame. He would have he would he would like Steve smile when he laughs is genuinely infectious, and I always want to make him laugh. But my humor is always references like that. So I'm like to Steve. I'm just not funny. I'm just a weird guy. Yeah. You just say, but it's your passion behind the quote that usually, right? He drives it home. Yeah. Yeah. Even if he doesn't get it, he gives you the, the, the smile of. My soul. I mean when you do a show with them every single day, you get enough pity laughs. You just sorta start stringing together. And it's enough. Anyways, yes. I didn't know that actually about that became Loggins. Boy was he was a bad Kenneth. If you, do you watch our Trudel. Pretty of Archer. There's an episode of my favorite psych where one of the criminals. Jails, named Kenneth Loggins. Right. And he's the witness to something. And the characters explaining to his dad was a cop, you know, thing it Kenneth key long. And so the whole thing is K, log is what was Joe Messina in the cell next to. That's. Hi, welcome back NewsRadio Ryan Edwards Benjamin Albright. Jake Shapiro is gonna join us coming up at eight thirty five. Talk about those red hot Rockies also talked to him about the Rocky Mountain showdown looks like we're going to get a few more games between CSU and see you and the Rockies have made a selection in the first round of the MLB draft tonight. And it was hold on. Wait for it. Wait for I gotta go find. Okay. It's gonna take me a second here. I thought I retweeted it, but maybe it got deleted. So though, the Rockies made made a selection earlier tonight, a first baseman, it's actually the first baseman they've selected in the draft since Todd Helton since it lasts elected, this guy, Michael tog Leah. From UCLA, and they selected him, I guess, a couple of years ago in the thirty fifth round in two thousand sixteen at a high school, so they really wanted this kid, but yeah, first baseman, Michael tog, Leah out of UCLA, the eighth infielder in Rockies history to be selected by the Rockies first pick of the draft and the first players like the first base as said since Todd Helton, the ninety five. A little trivia for either. There's a little trivia, so we'll talk to Chappel issues. Jake Shapiro about that coming up at eight thirty five. I want to hear about your sweatpants. I don't think anyone wants to actually hear about those sweatpants. Well, look, you, you we did a whole twenty five minute segments like two weeks ago. Right. Sweatpants and listeners were they were switching their dial in droves over here to hear more about those weapons. Riveting stuff's. Yeah. Must listen to radio. I've been reminded, by the way in the text line that I was four years old. When footloose came out also was for you. We're the same age, but it doesn't mean that I didn't watch it later on. I mentioned earlier as Brian was taking it. I mentioned earlier that I was, I was allowed to watch a lot of movies that were not age appropriate. It wouldn't surprise me. If I watched footloose around four or five years, old, I was not allowed to watch this. Where I became a pop culture, sponge and started soaking all that stuff up. So it was well into the nineties before I started watching all those eighties movies that all the text line here couple of text before we get to your sweatpants story. See her bid is definitely the thorny when it comes to shades trust him when he comes to know a fan. I really hope that's a reference to migrate taste and sunglasses. And not my actual Twitter account where a perpetually throw people been this show, bright. He has to do the white guy head nods. You were doing that during the song, you did the white guy kinda Bob in your head over bite. You know, hit the hands in here. Yep. Yeah. It'll elbow action going the three the three it wasn't like the Elaine Benes wasn't like a full body dry, but, you know, it was there was some there was some white guy. Elbow stayed. Stay parallel here. You know, forming a right angle, parallel to the body moving, you know, instinct side to side will look, Kevin James from hitch maybe. Yes. You know, another good reference. Yeah, don't need, you know, make pizza. They get food there. That was weird. I don't want to break down hitch. There's a moment I wanna even at the end. Right. Thank you. Yeah. It's so like there's, there's a pacing to it. You kind of like words going, and then all of a sudden, at the end of just like they just didn't know where to go with it, and they just like, okay we're, we're done. Yourself out now. Yeah, it really was like the first two and a half acts were great. And then you're just like okay that happened. I guess we're done here. I guess we're leaving. Now apparently, there's a dance line. Right. Have you seen a lot and yet I have actually I didn't I didn't see your full breakdown on Twitter, usually get on Twitter. Really don't admit to seeing movies that are not superhero movies on Twitter, the persona but a break character from it. Yeah. So sorry I thought it was. Okay. All right. I'm not. I mean, we'll, we'll Smith bugged me. Yeah. I mean nobody's going to beat Robin Williams ever know we'll did well. But it could have been better with an with an unknown. It was a kept thinking big Willie style. Right thinking about Will Smith in all his movies. Right. Being the genie. Yeah. And it was just like I couldn't spit playing Will Smith. The whole thing I kept thinking, like this Will Smith being Will Smith. Set the genie. This is the fresh prince as Jeannie. Bingo. That's it. And so, yeah, he's wildly entertaining and headline though. They didn't have any names in that movie. And that's why they should have drawn was probably the biggest name. And she was the assistant to the Princess one year two years onset alive or whatever. Yeah. And she was on. What was that new girl? I don't remember. Winston's girlfriend. Okay. All right. I remember we saw theater. Reference to show took me a minute. Yeah. Wow. And leave it a FOX show. You watch all the FOX shows. I didn't watch. What's the Tim Allen thing I got enough, the toolman tailor the first time around. Yeah. I don't really watch that nobody watches that one. Okay. So. I do want to hear about the sweat pants. I just finished season. Three of game of thrones. It it's getting it's getting pretty nuts. But you know what I I've told my wife the, the line that you told me when I was getting ready to watch the series, everybody dies. So I have to now I watched every single episode just waiting for everybody to die. Which, by the way, is a very weird way to watch the show. When does he get a bite it? Yeah. Everything. Wait, is this? It is leading up to this. I can tell everything seems to be no that kept him alive for other other season. Okay. Slip through Jon John snow gets shot with three arrows. And it's like oh boy, but I know he's in the end because I I've seen enough teasers now that I know he makes it all the way to the end of the series. Now, maybe the last episode is different. But like lake there, there's things that happened you're like, oh, is it going down for real? It's coming out for real or St. would say coming down for real. So I still don't get how he missed that up. It's but he's not watching it. It's, it's really cool to watching game of thrones. Now everybody else. Yeah. But see, like everybody else I know has already watched it. And they're like, oh, yeah. Just wait till this happens. You're having conversations with Steve, like it's fresh have real conversations. He is only like season behind me. And so, he's like, dude, I can't believe this the one thing happened, but I know I saw that last week. Conversations I had eight years ago. The everybody else their dog had eight years ago. But Steve atwater dire like like in a time bubble here. You know, it's awesome. I feel like we're living reliving, the eighties or something looked pretty soon. He's gonna bring out a brick phone. I know those were great. Yeah. And, you know, he's going to be Eddie Murphy. Definitely should not have done that album. He loves Eddie Murphy, like everything Eddie Murphy's ever done really. Using all of the armed be album. He's just like he's how you're in the tank for drew lock. And he's in the tank for Eddie Murphy. There was an expiration date on Murphy. No, I think he's like into all of it. Beverly Hills cop three. It got stale things really started. I was here for another forty eight hours. I was here for Beverly Hills cop to Nielsen has kept three was not the same, did you, did you get into nutty, professor, or any of that was by that point in time, it was past expiration, there were spoiled milk, Dr Doolittle at the very first one. The first night profession was okay. Senate. The actually number. No bo. Finger think both extra. Pretty good say. That's one I actually enjoyed and then there was another one he did. It was a terrible premise and script, but he was in it with deniro and it was like a hog Showtime. Yes. Yes, I actually liked that movie for certain pointed scrip is terrible. And, you know, a mail it in for both those guys bitten. But there were point that movie that were, there were genuinely funny. Okay. That I enjoyed never really wanted him Hartson comes out of nowhere. He's trying to pitch. Try to pitch Murphy on a TV show. Whatever where he's going to be terri- lock and the other guy is John load together. They're locking the load. TV you know, kind of going on. So I appreciate when when they do. That's why like the show the grinder which, by the way was right? It was Rob Lowe. Yeah. And it was it had like this whole meta making fun of itself television as a whole kind of thing. You know where he was the grinder. The reason why people like the Larry Sanders show, right? That was a little more on the nose. I think than than, than the grinder was. But it was still love. All right. Let's get to your sweatpants. They're, they're really, really comfortable, give people a little bit of, like randomly, like, hey, we're gonna talk about bids pants now. Yeah. Sweats. It's the quiet storm. Tony, Tony heard Vic Fangio likes to listen to this show and he's always in the market for new sweatpants. So you can't go wrong with the MAC wilbon ace sports sweatpants. Let me tell you, it's got the side pocket zip the put your idea and your wallet and you have to worry about the hand warmers on the hoodie anymore. You get the side pocket zip that you can work side pocket tonight, though, I didn't I'm aware more just for you. Okay. You got you got to wear them at a model. I got them in the, the stone wash powder. Blue. You're welcome. What are the most bizarre? Well, I get into sports talk radio. Assuming certain conversations would happen at some point. And having another man admit that they bought the stone wash blue sweatpants, and we're going to really do a segment on it. I'm aware of them Thom a mildly. Intrigued by their very comfortable. The one thing I don't particularly care for. And it's it's the fashionable thing I guess, now is the taper leg on the sweatpants. You know, that doesn't make any sense. That's the thing right now. And lo and behold, it turns out that injury is actually a broken arm and now because the Rangers had contingencies on the draft compensation. They were going to get back. Four mats zuccarello. Now, they're in a situation where they were hoping that was going to elevate to a first round draft pick. And if a guy is going to be out there guessing a month then. If you're the Rangers suddenly that is a that's a big disappointment. So I feel actually really badly for Carello himself. Who's such a good guy and terrific player and wanted him to stay healthy with his new team for his own sake. But. For the Rangers sake. It is also a blow. There's no doubt about it. And you're right. Is the kind of thing where it's not second guessing, Bruce because a lot of people yesterday, we're saying, hey, I'm underwhelmed by this value here and to tie it to contingencies and watch player get hurt. We're talking about such a physical game like hockey. We can't be shocked when when a player gets hurt, Bruce, right? When a first baseman to me, I think ROY. Even hit three hundred power ROY is gonna get not for this reason. It seemed the last couple of years. First baseman seems like it was entitled to possession difficulty. Make last year where I don't have now be here for next time in the ten years back. So I think the Yankees for him to work by. And get sent down. Ain't he's willing to work and you have to go back to the minor leagues. Let them show he wants to back. Yeah. I hear what you're saying. And to me, the only thing that would offset would be the desire to have a lefty bat in the middle of that Yankee lineup with all the other with all the other power and all the other bats that are in there. I like to see a lefty, and I think also that Greg birds defense is better than lymphoid know is working on his defense. But I think bird more of a natural first baseman as opposed to a guy who was converted to first base. So I in that sense. I think if I'm the Yankees I'm rooting for bird to do. Well, but I think that bird and Greg bird we'd have to outplay Voivoide showed. It was a track record last year. And the other part of voice that I do like, you mentioned Bruce mentioned Greg bird and Bruce feeling like bird had a little bit of. Entitlement thing where he because he was such a highly touted prospects thought that he was going to get the position. Whether that's true or not. What I like about. Void is. You're talking about guy who was drafted in. I don't know. Reading about voi- earlier today. And I think it was something like the twenty third round draft pick or something like that. So you're talking about a guy who is certainly not entitled has had nothing handed to him has never really had much opportunity given to him and has had to earn everything. And finally getting an opportunity played his tail off last season for the Anki showed the production. But also brought that intangible element that just is infectious and that his teammates and the fans feed off of. And there's something to that. They. Baseball season is long six months one hundred and sixty two games that regular season and guys who bring energy, especially when you have a guy like when you have guys like Aaron judge who obviously has energy. But it's a more quiet leader. Let's say in certain ways, you need some of those energy guys. And that is void. So there's an advantage there. You can certainly argue that both ways coming up after the break. We'll talk about this Brendan Cutty from the leisure joins me. We'll talk some Yankees time.

"Feels that way. First baseman in center field. Right, right, or the raise you can have your your your pitcher play. I go back in and pitch. But my I guess my point is send zella seems like a special talent. I would you know, you're going to get into a service time and everything as we get into later in the spring as to what he makes his debut here. I would I wouldn't count on him for a lot this year. I don't I think the pressure of just coming up and playing in the majors is going to be as first hurdle. I think he's going to be a wonderful player when it's all said and done that's the way I feel, but I just I don't think that he's going to be the kind of player that a lot of fans think he will be in twenty nineteen. What do you think? I think he'd be solid in two thousand nineteen but if people were expecting him to come up and be like one soda or Ronaldo kunia that they would probably be disappointed in that case he gives but very good in the minors. But he hasn't destroyed the miners. He's not a nineteen year old, and he he can probably still benefit from some timing. Aaa he was only up there for I think six weeks or so and. I mean, he's had injuries which also is something you have to you know, recover from. I think that if they're still sorting out what his position will be because it's not it's still not obvious where they would put him I other than they put them in third Suarez the left field. So the player that not necessarily call up in April. But I do think that he can't contribute to the team in two thousand nineteen you may he may with his talent. He may make it impossible if he has a nine fifty oh PS in June. It's hard to leave the talent. Like that doubt. Dan.

"You'll steal a base. He's a decent defender. He's not a gold glove type defender at first. But he is athlete. I've seen him do splits numerous times, he's pretty impressive out there. He played left field less season in Morello are in San Antonio in an effort to get more at bats. You have to admire that the Canadian left-handed youngster is was the first baseman of the future. The teams invested in their Cozma right now they're invested for the next four or five years in their costumer. He's not going. Anywhere. Naylor's Twenty-one will probably start the season in El Paso, and is gonna probably be major league ready by the end of the year, if not sooner. So that's another player who's probably going to be trade bait for the team. Sadly, he's not a homegrown Padre. He was attained from the Marlins few seasons back, but there's a lot of like with him and. Beyond him. There's really not much else at first base for the Padres because they have hosmer and they've kind of structured themselves in that way. So the kind of have fillers throughout the minor league system. Breads Zunika's probably the next one that I would probably mention young left handed power hitting first baseman who spent the season last year in lake Elsinore who's got a exceptional power needs to be a little more patient in probably walk a little more and get on base a little bit more. But is is exceptional power. And Hugh, probably sadly be at the point where he's going to need to be trade bait as well. Because you would think that he'll be major league ready in a couple of seasons as well. So air Cosmas just a he's the man at first base for the Padres. It's what the Padres chose to go with and what their chosen do. So we're just going to move forward with their Osma era in hopefully, he'll be the the the veteran leadership that a lot of these young. Players need in when the team becomes relevant. So it put this into perspective for non Padre fans. Like, I full heartedly convince myself that I think the chihuahuas could've beat the Marlins last year. Definitely couldn't beat the Orioles. Like, you you put the two walls and oils in a in a seven game series. I think it's over in like five games. Yeah. Yeah. The end of the year when when watchos there, and and and they they were pretty impressive Logan Allen. I mean, they it's it's it's it's fun to talk about this system. Because this coming year is going to be exciting. I mean, you're going to be an unruly. You're gonna have a chance to see some pretty exciting pitchers and position players in with that team as well. So we'll get to my favorite in a little bit. Obviously, my favorite everybody's favorite. So it's it's not it's not like it's a secret it's MacKenzie. But let's go to second base. We're not gonna talk about your use yet. Because I want to talk about World Series champion..
