Caller Shares Intel in Following One America News & RSBN

"Were asking where we get our news from. So on April 6th, when direct TV quick carrion, one American news network, I quit carrying them. And for 5 bucks a month, you can stream them on any device. You have, and I also like to mention that they had this little app as you can put on your phone called OAN audio, which is free, and you can listen. To broadcasting over their guests now. It's Internet. It used to be satellite, but now it's Internet. So one American news network and another one called RSV, right side broadcasting and they also, they cover all the Trump rally. He's start to finish. Is there not they don't broadcast live all day long, but you can go back and watch a lot of different news programs and Trump rallies and things like that. And they're available. Both of them are available over the Roku, I guess fire stick to. I don't know how that works. But anyway, that's where I get mine from.

"I'm hooked up to My my My T. V in here has fire stick. It's not satellite. It's not cable. And I'm trying to flip over to Fox Sports because I want to put Ohio State and Oregon on. And Two things that bug me about. Fire stick situation. Allow me to event for just a moment. Two things that bother me is that sometimes the Internet connection connection is wonky. And You know, it just took me three minutes clicking on an icon that says Fox sports on it over and over and over again, and it's not loading for me, and it's driving me nuts. While I'm multitasking trying to talk to you. This should be easy Click a button boom. Click another button. Get me to Ohio State, Oregon. Ah, And then the other thing that always drives me crazy about. Watching the game that streamed Is that you're so far behind everything. You know, I have to almost Minimize Twitter. Or silent my phone. Because if a buddy of mine is watching the game on cable They're going to usually see it before me. There's a delay obviously. That's how you get the curse. Words bleeped out from players and not all the time. But you know what I mean, censored the f words and stuff like that. So you got to delay. I get that. I know that I'm not going to see it in real time. Like the Uh, reporters that are in the stadium or the fans. But it's just a huge lag for me. For whatever reason. Maybe it's maybe I got to beef up my Internet here and pay more for it. I don't know. But I'm sure what I'm watching right now. Ohio State Oregon I'm probably a good 60 seconds to 90 seconds behind the game itself, which is good. In this respect, because one of the things they always tell you When you are on the air during games. I've had program directors bosses in sports talk radio that have beat this into my head. You can't do play by play of the game you're watching. It is illegal for me if I just look at my TV and say all right here we go. Oregon, Ohio State the Kickoffs in the air, and then I just start telling you like an amateur. Uh, Al Michaels. What's happening in that game? We get find a lot of money for that. And that could be grounds for termination. So I'd like to keep this job. You won't hear me doing that. Today. I'll update you. I'll tell you what happened. But I will leave just enough space in between. Where I am not doing live play by play to get myself in trouble. Andrew Philip Pony the Pony Express, CBS Sports Radio 855. To 1 to 4 to 27 is the telephone number to call. You can follow us on Twitter at CBS Sports Radio. You can follow Wa Me at the Pony Express pony spelled P O and I In life. I think we all get into Situations may be called them ruts. Call them. Potholes. Where You get kind of stuck in a situation. And You'll have somebody tell you Well, Life is what you make it. Life is what you make of it. Yeah. Is it a great situation? No, it's sort of crappy. But Make the most of it. Do your best grin and Barrett try to find the positives in it. Try to find a good try to really focus on the good and Try to, uh, take the bad in stride. You know, just that kind of general Bs, sort of advice you get from people. That pretend to care about you and everything else, and they're just giving you generic paint by number. Advice on how to, uh Maintain sanity when something is really bugging you or irking you, right? College football. What I'm saying today as I look through the slate, and I look at the schedule It's up to college football. In my opinion. It's up to the sport itself. To make Saturday's like this better. To make a day like this better. Because when I when I look at the entire list of games, I'm sorry. This, isn't it? It's not going to cut it. There are two games involving Top 25 matchups today. To write teams playing against each other. One of them is minutes away from kickoff. Ohio State Oregon at the Horseshoe number three vs number 12. If you're just finding us, Oregon's best player, Cavon Thibodeau was not going to play. And he's got an ankle injury. He's basically college football's version of Aaron Donald. He's an edge rusher and not a tackle. But he can blow up a game plan and he can wreak havoc even though The opposing team knows full well. That he's the one guy to stop. He beats double triple teams. He's a monster. He's going to be an NFL all Pro. He's going to be just a sensational NFL player. He's out of this game. Oregon, Ohio State. I give credit to both schools. That they scheduled this game. Because one of the things that college football playoff committee is done. Is that it? Really? I don't think is rewarded Teams for winning games like this enough. And maybe what they should do is reward teams for winning games like this. And penalized teams for losing games like this less Clemson's problem. Is two fold. The E stinks. They're in bed with a bunch of college football programs that are doing is three Stooges routine, where they're running into each other and bonking heads and tripping and falling all over themselves as the slapstick routine. And they're obligated to play South Carolina every year in South Carolina right now, Steve Spurrier, the old ball coaches and on the sideline, it's Frank Beamer's kid with a graduate assistant at quarterback. That's right. The guy that went to school there to be a graduate assistant coaches their quarterback..

"Just take her straight to that room. You are all man, son. Close the door. Daddy's fixed to fill valve and now it's reward time. I mean, what's that sound? Don't you worry about Dad. What's that say? Oh, yeah, the one time he's not totally engrossed in a video. Exactly. He wants his switch. He wants his Amazon. We control it. He wants his Switch is Amazon fire stick and his tablet like wants All these things are like once and you'll go into his room and I'll have the TV arm and he watches these These, um, voice memes. It's like it's like a British voiceover guy. And it's just these memes that pop up on YouTube went after the other after the other compilation, and and it's red in this voice. Man goes to the store, and he says that it's like it's all these memes read aloud in this Computerized British voice. He's got that on. He's playing his switch. And then he's on his tablet face timing one of his friends at the same time, so so we have childhood is so much different than my child. Oh, my God! You know it wasn't honestly It wasn't that long ago like maybe eight years, although, and now that's a long time For what? I'm talk. I'll say my daughter's became multi screen people. It was when they first came up with the term when someone was to screening or multi screening and it was when they would always have their phones with them while we were watching a show. Like, what is it about? You can't like, just watch the show, And now everybody has their phone next to them while they watch the show and or are looking at the phone while the show is running, so you're to everybody to screens who three screens or four screens right? That's not with their bet. That was not that long ago. The two screens was really like A lot of people kind of disturbing that you couldn't pay attention. The one I remember that, because, um, like you said, not too long ago. But when I was with my ex and we'd go to the movie theater, and I would have, and this was I had my sidekick. I was physically addicted to my sidekick. And I would not. He would keep you, like, turn it off completely, like just shut it off, And I'm like, Well, let me just live on silent and then let's just keep it here like it was, like a little comfort, blanket type of thing or whatever, but I would be all my power to not at some point, pick it up and just look like a lot. Yeah, Yeah. I mean, is that the one that slid like it looks like a rail a phone. Then it slid up and how to keyboard underneath. That is the one I'm thinking. Yeah. You love that sidekick. Technology is not going to get any better than this. I know, right? That's what we thought. That's we thought with blackberries to write Stupid little, but Usually your thumb would hit to it. I mean, it was just Library was the thing that was that That was the one that was kind of like a little like, almost like an oval, and then it had the keyboard. Uh, it was attacked on the screen. Yeah, it was. And it was all exposed, right? There was a bigger screen. Yeah, I remember, though. I didn't ever have one of those. I think serious people have those Like adults like, you know, like, uh, non side kickers, right? Well, recent. You know Brad's experience with the YouTube. I I just had a YouTube thing happened. That actually saved me from, uh, Like from Like I was going to call. It was actually a plumber situation right away. It was like my oil burner. There was there's nothing on the walls Electric, and it's going just in their flashing and taking the whole time. Just like what is this? I don't understand. I started looking it up on YouTube like I do. How do you look up thing on the wall is going back. And, uh, I don't know. How do I look that up? I don't know what to call it. So, uh, I figured, all right. It's got to be electrical. Uh, I'm looking where it's going to on a burner and what's next to it? I'm like, all right. It's uh so I was put in like oil burner transports oil valve, electric pain. Weird sub burner sounds, even though it's not the burners next to it, whatever I eventually found it. And, uh, it kept me from getting the plumber right away. But it's still something I couldn't do. But like it gives you this knowledge where you don't have to call up and say this thing is making a sound And should you and then they come over 120 bucks to visit and then they're like, Oh, this is nothing. All you do is flip it off and restarted like that would be the worst. So I want to avoid the so YouTube saved that I find out It's called, like a relay or something. And it's whenever, like, you want hot water, or you want to turn on heat or whatever it sends, like a message to this thing that starts up the oil burner. Oh, I learned this from YouTube and I said, Well, I can't fix this. So now I know for sure I do want to pay the guy to come over to replace it fixed or whatever has to be done. And then I don't you know, because how many times in my life Have I had someone come over something And you feel stupid because then they say, Oh, it was just this. Why couldn't tell me that on the phone because it's 99 bucks or under 20 bucks to come over. That's how it works, and that's what YouTube can save you. That's why, Yeah, I can. But last way I like sometimes I'm grateful about the apartment life because I will literally call and I will sometimes be embarrassed. Like, Oh, that was it. And I don't like to have to rely on other people. I would like to do it myself At the same time, I do pay rent, and they have designated for that. So I know you. Yeah, Like I'm gonna I'm gonna use it. And that's all right, too. A lot. But I do feel like an idiot. I know exactly what you mean. You're like, Oh, I could have done that right now. But you got to know that you're not the only one ever and that they're used to this stuff. Where And everybody just has no idea. That's why they're professionals at it. And we do. What do we know? You know, kind of out of our depth so well, congratulations to breath. Thank you. Very, very proud of you for fixing the toilet. Serve you. You need any plumbing or whatever done, you know, Uh oh, You know, if they got time, I got a list of people that.

"On has like bio and and the questions in those kind of things and i didn't like it because my you know i'm looking at my camera right here and when i get to that time where i interviewed jim i'd go and then jim fuse. He's amazing guy. He does amazon line to my eyes. Were not tracking. So the best thing i've done is got the Teleprompter that it's the pad caster. And i stick my phone underneath there in so i use a piece of software. Called teleprompter premium allows me. I have all my questions. I have all my segments in there. And so when i'm asking questions i don't look down at my document i'm looking inside of my my pat gesture and i can read you know gyms bio i can ask the next question and so i actually have. It's really cool. The teleprompter premium software. Lets you connect with your phone or your ipad. So i have it on my desktop and i also have my ipad. My phone's there that i have to use for the teleprompter and that has changed. I you know. Chris you're talking about how the the professional look of the thing being able not to look down when i'm talking wrassling. Asking questions is a huge deal. And that's probably the thing that changed my show for the better the most. It's funny you say that too. 'cause i could chris and i joked about this a few weeks ago Because in case you don't know folks you can actually watch amazon. Live on your tv set through the amazon shopping app on the fire stick and i think probably the the fire tv so i you know my wife. Maybe your guy's wives do doesn't always watch my show as though he was watching this show and she was like. I can't watch your show like why would you keep looking down well as because i was looking at the amazon app on the phone right and so to your point right. I now have this ipad. That's elevated so. I can just glance and change things and i'm getting the teleprompter as well because you don't it is right. It's frustrating 'cause there's things you wanna make sure you don't forget and you don't want your eyes all over the place but you know this comes with time and so it's interesting to hear jeff that even as seasoned as you are right. You're still finding things that you feel that you can improve that. I used to have my notes. Like i make them really small close to the cameras possible in there still this thing and it also makes it really. Easy when i- repurpose these videos usually. I'm recording my own hook. Those and so. I can have that i'd be like hey you know jim fuses on the in the show yesterday and i can do my hook and record it and do it really quickly with that. The only thing is is the first time. I had it all set up ready to go and i'm like oh crap by phones in there i've gotta start and was online my ipad and i was like okay there you know. It started a little bit late. But i was like. Oh you have that moment of like. Oh crap anyway do that now. No wasn't as bad as water being spilled into your lap i. It's not just for content creators. i think. I think you know everything is there's so virtual stuff going on job interviews You're a sales Virtual presentations for you know your business Yeah as an entrepreneur or whatever eye contact is key if they're not connecting with you And and you have trouble you know trying to look at yourself because myself is right over here and if i were talking like this the entire time nobody's going. Nobody's going to connect with me. So i have to get used to not looking at my own face right or having a like you like. You have invest in a teleprompter and then you get used to it and you know you just knock it out and soon have it now like you're still like all the stuff is down below me but habit. I've just got made that. I look at my camera for years. I had a yellow sticky note at an arrow that pointed to the camera. Because i would always forget so now. It's just kind of second nature when i start talking. I just ignoring the stuff below where you guys are and talking to the camera. But i've tried like three different teleprompters and i tell you the tadcaster is the best. Buy four. Channon m fifty. Which is what. I use to stream with and it actually has these mouse of the right on the front of your camera and you just slide the podcast right on top of it and so it's amazing so i love that i mean. I've tried like three of them. Even have a big ipad one mounts on my big camera and all that stuff but It's it's the best. So i love it but you don't have to do all this at beginning bike like i. You look back at the first stuff i did. I didn't have a background was using my camera. I had to the camp. The mike that was on my my amac and i've actually got a yeti and then two years ago a file sent me the pr forty which is what you're hearing right now right mike and so. I love the pr forty. It's a great amazing mike. And so a guy. Kawasaki actually bought the after. So i use that. And i use the road castro pro because i like to do all the sound effects that kind of stuff and do all the cool stuff in it also does a backup recording and it goes microsoft guy two of those one for upstairs when for downstairs to look likes to sit and i actually am able to plug in my phone into the back of the jasser and use my good mike when i do clubhouse and so guy saw that he wanted. He wanted to have a different setup for his clubs to house. Radio versus is. I'm like okay. Third world problems air. I guess so. You know this is awesome. Yeah i mean we gotta we're going to have to have We're going to have you back jeff. This has been Amazing conversation fun nerd out about what we'll do well. Maybe we'll an episode. You can teach how to use the loop deck once chris tomase. Jim wants me to empty my bank account right now. That's what he wants. So one of those guitars you their props. That's a green screen took away all doom zoom. Yeah this has been awesome. jeff. I mean you've given so much of your time and this is one of those ones where i get to the end of it and of course you know this being who's who's doing production behind the scenes i you. There's so much information and phil hill mentioned as well as like. He couldn't write fast enough with with all the great stuff that you were given. So this is one of those ones. Where i gotta go back and i'm going to be team replay on on on this because i know there was probably something that i missed because i was hammering out a banner or or you know Switching this or switching that but man thank you so much for for this has been awesome and You know an honor for us to head you gordon. I get comfortable seven o'clock. Let's watch the yankees. And they're on channel eleven w pix at night. And now i can't watch them at all so even when you think you have it all figured out. There's always a curve ball. It seems like when you're trying to watch all these things it's on it's on over the air for the cord cutters your that out to watch it. So goes the whole of jimmy in the backyard deal. I would have thought you weren't watching the yankees this season. I the way they're playing. What do we got here. They play in your oriole's right now battle for last place matt. Harvey turned back to the dark knight. Beat the yankees. Yeah i don't know the streaming thing. I don't i feel like it has to get narrowed down a little bit in the next few years. Yes or no. Yeah absolutely. I think that what what we've seen is really an unbundling of of the cable system. And you're going to see a bundling again because bundle bundled services are more consumer friendly. And they they they. They're going to cost less right now. You have Paramount plus peacock. Hbo max all of these services hulu is stuck with disney plus in. They're actually doing. Why hulu and netflix. I think our disney plus a netflix are up there. And like but i do and you still need your like. If you're new york you want be able to have yasser. I said why depending on if you're a yankee fan but my point is like there was like there's a whole group of like mid level streaming services that are doing whatever they can to step out so like. Did you watch wrestlemainia this year on peacock. I did not. I watched what it was two nights. I watched one night but even that was an issue. Because you can't get peacock yet if you have an amazon fire stick. Are they not download. It's quick serena right. Yeah so you had a that was an issue So that's what that's what. Don't Miss Sharon has been live in concert on Sunday, April, the 11th All right, Chip Franklin with you here on kgo these air uncomfortable questions, but we gotta ask him. It's just it's how the legal system works. It's gotta Fairfax talk to John. John again. This guy Derek show Vin is not up for any humanitarian awards. But did he intend to kill George Boyd? Well, here's what I think happened. Chipped and I watched the full leaked body cam video from the officer who first approached George Floyd and so watched everything up until Derek show Vin showed up now. Children was the last officer there. But if you go back and encourage people to do this to watch the previous minutes up until show van arrived, you'll see that these officers were having a hard time. But then he didn't he wasn't cooperating. He was obviously Had something going on with them. He didn't want to comply with getting into the police car and they were having a tough time with him anyway. Can you blame an African American to be a little worried about getting into a police start? Right? No, no, no, no. I'm not playing the George point. I'm just saying he was reluctant against the car and show them with the last top to show up And he was called is like a back up. Being the senior Cup there. I think you probably had an attitude of like, watch this young guys. I'll show you how to handle the dude like this. And if you watch he kind of didn't want the other guy's interfering with him while he had his knee on George Boyd's neck, he was kind of like saying Look, I'm a little done £150 and I can handle this dude. Six ft. 4, £240 or whatever. No one comes my hands. My talking in my knee on his neck. I get up this guy, you guys sit back and watch. I'll show you how it's done. Don't bother me. Next time you have a problem like this. I think that's what was going on, and it got out of hand. Well, Iet's depraved indifference if you ask me But again, I'm not an attorney on a Zay lay this thing out. I just I have to ask myself if you know you can. The prosecution proved that show even tried to kill him. And they can heat any intentionally killed him, because that's a big part of it, And I think most Americans in their mind, they just heard so much of this. They say it's murder. No doubt it's murder. And, you know, you gotta prove that Real quick manual. Go ahead and any act. What do you think about that? Well, we had a hotel in Kuala and the sheriff out there told me because my security had What a gentleman in the crowd it moves and the cops and they came to said Hey, you know that the lethal move, you're not allowed to do that. After five seconds after the first and passes out, you're going to cause brain damage. You're going to kill the person so Generally. Yeah, I mean, if you if you keep that hold for more than two minutes, you're definitely going to cause brain damage. So what they should do is the cop that did that Sherman where his name is. So I put him in the same moved in in the courtroom, Put him in the same mood. She see if See if he lasts that nine minutes or eight minutes, however long he had his me on that guy's neck if he last, Okay then, Okay. He's free. If he doesn't Well, you're not buying in. He then that proves the case that you know he did it personally, because they know once that person is passed out. You have five seconds before the cause brain damage and I don't think I don't think this guy knew anything about you know the chokehold. On bats. One of the reasons why they got rid of it, But, you know, I mean, yeah, he committed a crime. But is it second of your murder? Your TV is spying on you

"Want to take you back a little bit in the way back machine when there's a big fuss when physio was the top selling tv brand in the united states and they're still a big seller but they're not the top dog anymore and they got their wrist. Slapped for spying on what television you were watching without disclosing t you that. They were spying like they were and they reached a settlement where they didn't it's one of those idiotic things that the government does where the company didn't have to admit that it was doing anything wrong but said it wasn't going to do the stuff anymore without your permission. so there's a lot of value to ad agencies. Big companies to the tv manufacturers themselves and now with streaming television to people like amazon with their fire sticks and roku and all that To be able to track what you're doing and there's a technology called a cr that allows the tv itself or a third party plug in to know what you're watching and the funny thing is they know what you're watching whether you're streaming it watching it on a satellite watching it on cable watching it over the air however you're watching it can track your viewing patterns and then use that to target you with specific ads. It's very much like what you think about. When you're on wine on your phone or your laptop and you'll go to some store and look at an item and then you'll go to. Let's say a new site or entertainment. Satan sunday an ad pops up for whatever that item was in. So there's a lot of A lot of invasion of privacy involved with this stuff people on the tv business. Say no think how great this is because instead of you having ads for stuff you don't care about you'll only see ads for stuff you do care about and I don't know but here's a wild one. I saw on the wall street journal so since video lost that lawsuit the setting on a video. Tv is automatic. Opt out the you have to voluntarily choose to opt in to share your personal viewing habits. And i haven't seen how video words it because i don't have. I haven't had a video. Tv in recent years. So i don't know what you see on the screen but the wall street journal reports that of sixteen million people who bought video. Tv's since they lost the lawsuit Two and a half years ago. Ninety percent of people have voluntarily chosen to allow what they watch to be tracked. So maybe i'm just much more concerned about this privacy stuff than most people are or it could be that the wording makes it seem like this is just the greatest thing ever for you to let us see what you're watching and what you're up to so know that this is a very active part of the sale of televisions and Various streaming products is the ability to track. What you're doing. And i think that we should have the ability with any of these things. If we don't like being tracked to say leave me alone you do not have my permission to track. And it shouldn't be something that's just a private settlement with physio in the feds. It should be standard operating position. should be standard operating procedure. That you and i get to choose whether we get tracked.

Black Friday deals!

"You're ready for black friday ready to start buying stuff. Well things are going to be a little different this year. We may not see the crowds like you've seen in. The past camped out in front of stores. The retailers say they're going to offer black. Friday deals online the entire time. And that's good for us. I've been perusing through the ads. I see a couple of things that really jumped out at me. Starting with apple airpods. The pro edition usually sells for two hundred and fifty dollars. Walmart will have them for a hundred and sixty nine dollars. That's a great savings in. May i say that of all the headphones. All the earbuds i've used in my life. I swear by these airpod pros the best sounding they stick in the ear. I just love him so if you ever wanted to buy them. That's a good time to get him. Most other stores slowing him around two hundred dollars. The apple watch series three edition which is from a few years ago is going to sell for one nineteen at walmart. Dad's a savings of over one hundred dollars. Pretty good deal. How about a nice seventy inch. Video for four seventy eight. That's at walmart or a sixty five inch samsung. That's a target moving over to best buy. They've got a seventy inch. Tv for five twenty nine normally seven hundred and fifty dollars. That's pretty great. And if you wanted to get a cheap phone. The samsung s twenty f. E edition has been samsung's bargain phone selling for six hundred dollars. Now you can buy it for three hundred and forty nine. But you'll need to sign up for a two year contract. You could also get the google pixel for a which is three hundred fifty dollars and you don't have to get the two year contract amazon. Fire stick eighteen dollars normally thirty or the fire tv edition fifty inch. This is the amazon branded. tv. I happen to own one. I paid three hundred fifty dollars for it about two years ago. Hundred and fifty dollars at best. Buy pretty great deal amazon. Hasn't announced deals yet look forward to seeing what they are as

Googles Creepiness Factor May Make It a Winner in Streaming TV

"If you don't have a smart TV that connects to the Internet. Each year, these devices get an upgrade in time for the holidays to give them a competitive advantage and this year's upgrade seem focused on data mining Amazon's updated fire stick was released at the end of last month and the fire TV interface integrates with Alexa and all of the info she has about you and your previous media and shopping choices to fire. TV, can also connect with and monitor other smart devices like your ring security camera. All of this information will help the service serve up customized show recommendations Amazon says. Google's chrome cast also has new features including its own remote with the same bells and whistles. It's competitors have it's also got a new TV interface plus Google has one other giant advantage depending on your perspective more data as USA Today reported quote Amazon knows, your shopping history Roku knows what you like to watch. But Google knows where you live where you travel to what Youtube clips you watch what music you listen to and more. Now that might be enough to send you hiding under the sheets if you think about it too much. But it also makes for some pretty rich data to mind

Why Is HBO Max Still Not on Roku or Amazon Fire TV?

"One of the major problems with HBO. Max's launch isn't necessarily the content although we talked about why that may also be a problem area. It's that most of the country can't get it because Warner has not been able to work out carriage agreements with Roku or Amazon their fire products like fire stick. So if YOU WATCH TV Either of those places which are many many millions of people, Roku is just really flexing its muscle ought recently, you cannot watch HBO Maximus. Things. And in fact, they were so petty that when they sunset at HBO, they just deleted it like, yeah you could get hbo on your fire stick or even other gone and I delete peacock is the same situation but the deals just have not been worked out and so. You yes. You could make the counterargument that. The fact that people can't see it is just temporarily delaying the fact that people might not want to see what they can see wants to get it but short term, this is a major issue. Yes. So explain this to me like essentially the only people who can get it are those who have access to what Apple TV. You can watch it on your browser correct lake you can. Write. But if you're using primarily a fire sticker, a Roku to watch watch all your APPs, you just can't get HBO Max. It's not available through stores. Yes and I think that the line Amazon is drawing his interesting I don't have any opinions not nearly informed enough as to its legality or it's Best. Practices goods or tape or whatever. But it seems like HBO wants a little at Button to just be there whereas Amazon wants to put it inside of its channels choice. So basically, you're it's silo further away You could argue that that's because they want people to watch their prime video content instead but anyway, all of this is is ongoing in and. Jason Cholera who is now in charge Warner media made this big centerpieces conversations with the press after the firings the other day like they have to get it in front of people peacock is facing the same situation to and it reminds me once again that for as. Industry focuses we are, and like I watch TV through an apple TV and you might as well. This idea that we were pushing for a while that may be apple just kind of wanted to be the portal they wanted to be the thing that you used to watch your TV. Maybe. That's still the case but a lot more people watch TV through other devices. Than, they watch it through Apple TV in that's having a major effect

Well we had lots and lots of discussion about this which is great. I appreciate everybody that that jumps into these conversations to help explain it and actually there's probably too many here in this case to name all of them but basically what a fire stick is is a little small device that you can plug into your TV and then it basically turns your TV into a smart tv for those of you that may have an apple TV or Roku or some of the other devices. The fire stick has a similar type of functionality. However of course because fire the fire stick is built by Amazon. Of course it features all the Amazon Prime Stuff very easily accessible and the key of course for this flash briefing is that you can control your fire stick by your voice through. Lexi. Cord-Cutting Accelerates, Raising Pressure on Cable Providers

"Let's talk about cord cutting I have cut the cord Mike you have cut the cord and Tucker you're trying to get your in laws to cut the cord yeah we had a nice discussion about a last night is that a euphemism or do you actually have a nice discussion all we did was was ordered to go there's still weighing their options and they're scared to cut the cord is boys my impression they can always go back to the court correct yeah I I that's what I'm trying to a lot of work to get go to you can just try this out see a feel about it and go back if you want a hundred Bucks a month well and usually when you go back they give you a better deal yeah exactly so let's discuss the economics of it yes so traditional cable our traditional satellite TV whatever you might have the economics of it you know the basic package what fifty to seventy Bucks a month is this yes Sir if you go on to fight for a basic cable package without any of the rental stuff just one ball cable yeah no no box no it's like that's a separate adult so you got one yeah you Jeff that one probably it's like sixty to eighty in that ballpark and then we're the economic start to make make it really challenging to recommend cable is if you have multiple TV's out because then it's a you're renting another box be they're going to charge you for the additional TV I've talked about the V. are on top of that the they still sorry they charge you for compared to standard definition so you start get up getting up to a hundred Bucks a month pretty darn quickly so given our situation I've mapped out to them with HBO and Showtime included mine do I could get there cable and internet to one hundred dollars less than what they're paying now a month wow use a different tell me how's about a year and a TV is there for yeah that'll do it yeah that adds up in all you need is like a little roku stick or an Amazon fire stick road apple TV roku stick will run you forty five apple TV's a Buck fifty or fire TV is a little less than that yeah which is if you like the voice activated remote ins so let's talk about the numbers because yeah in two thousand and eighteen you had three point two million pay TV subscribers cable satellite etcetera drop off twenty nineteen you had an additional five and a half million a seventy percent acceleration in so I'm doing the math because I was looking at this yesterday I forget exactly royal left well so it is what I was doing this right yesterday I was looking at this for some other reason that I can't remember do you know how many households there are in the United States households Mel hundred twenty nine million my god okay said like nearly ten percent have cut just the last two years right so if this continues to accelerate within like ten years no one's going to be on cable anymore right now it's not going to get that drastic is eventually get a hardware ratio you know people decide Hey we don't want to do this but when you're losing nine million subscribers in two years that's like seven percent of the country saying we're done with cable if they're not going back so let's talk about the big cable companies that are out there and you know why the economics is happening this way she got Comcast one of the biggest ones in the country who owns a bunch of content as well they on NBC universal they're coming out there and streaming option you have direct TV would you say is owned by A. T. and T. which also now owns HBO and a bunch of content in eighteen T. also does have its own cable services as well yeah you got Verizon who owns a wireless channel that really makes the majority of their profits we have the biggest ones by subscribers if you want to go so eighteen T. between eighteen T. direct TV and eighteen two U. verse twenty two million yeah Comcast twenty one million communications sixteen million dish is twelve point twelve twelve point nothing Verizon is four point four **** communications four point one all this USA which operates optimum and suddenly is three point three frontier communications is a million Mediacom is eight hundred thousand and cable one is eight hundred thousand and then they're a bunch of little companies including Hawaii in telecom the twenty sixth largest provider of cable TV in the country with thirty two thousand subscribers so when we talk about these companies it seems to me and correct me if I'm wrong but it made you look at the companies like their earnings it seems to me that eighteen T. doesn't really care about losing the subscribers they've got some some investments but generally speaking it's pretty darn expensive for them to deliver this to people's homes I don't think they really care they're losing customers here and I would say the same goes for Comcast and Verizon charter I'm guessing this is certain dish this is a problem you don't have any other business units correct that's all you have there and so you know if your dish what do you do you right you got a bass Martin yeah I got to find a dance partner and that's where I almost wonder if someone else in one of these businesses comes in or the one that I still think not still think the one that would be really interesting if they can ever find any money to do this would be now the F. T. mobile sprint coming together it would seem to be something that could strengthen all three of those companies I have no idea if that's even possible but why the economics are great for these companies I mean one it's expensive to bring wires into people's homes it's a lot cheaper to just deliver TV over the internet heck of a lot easier to the contents getting more expensive there if you want to bundle all the sports packages ESPN and Disney and all these channels together those companies are not cutting their prices on this even though customers are ditching because they're picking them up elsewhere do the cable TV is pretty much only an American thing so there are everywhere else is just not every but here here's the number so in the United States there are four companies that have more than ten million cable subscribers from the rest of world only a seven interest thank you it's just it and if three armored India now for the former marine India suicide from American in India there's only three other cable providers more than ten million subscribers I don't know where that means people get their TV if it's still all just rabbit ears if it's all streaming but I find it doesn't surprise me the India's got a massive media huge I mean that that's a huge sector of the economy but yeah the my point to is that I don't think that these online streaming companies they're not earning much on this either that are low profit margin I think the costs are gonna be going up yeah add yours that

"Christmas I did my wife did a great job at Christmas and we tend to be not frugal but don't really blow it out for gives a lot of times except when it comes to my wife it's gonna be like jewelry and stuff I'm gonna make sure she's got a good piece of jewelry coming or something at three did you get something anything you really wanted for Christmas I know you're not you don't seem like an easy gotta buy for how may not an easy guy in the easiest person you are because I have so many different interests I like to start is that so many different things ports tickets things like that you know I'm a I'm a big pop culture guy I'm I'm into movies and TV Ryo's so you know ads did you so many different options for me so many different their road you can go down we finally got the legit smart TV we finally got the two more TV well the smart TV with a smart TV built in read off the plug in the fire stick and everything like that local long enough well did because I had a perfectly good TV and I'm too cheap to go and get a new TV when the TV I've got is perfectly fine hygienist I'm not going to spend the money but so we get the new LG beautiful fifty five inch smart TV it's awesome but we've been there and it's so much easier to navigate Netflix and stuff so yep okay get tuned to shows already a Netflix that we are addicted to what's that have you watched you no okay for some hearing about it okay you must watch you why you we're only two episodes in we're totally hooked like two episodes in and we are in we are in we're watching it there's no way we're not watching and mine hunter if you watch minor I have not but I've heard about it I've heard only good things okay it's a really good show that one's about these guys it's about without it doesn't give anything away the show it's the guy it's based on the the did the F. B. I. members who brought the concept of profiling to the FBI because they didn't use the profile where they had you know where they would have profilers that would decide okay we've got this crime what are the attributes of the person usually commits this crime and things like that so that that's what that shows about and it's a really really good road well worth your time time in Alaska has gotten up early with this or stayed up late with us which one is it Tom staying up late working normal snow removal how bad is now my man mark Schlereth is an Alaskan native and he would tell me about that some of the houses would have to have special lighting to make it seem like daylight inside the house have you ever heard of that yeah let's go yeah I I album see you do yeah absolutely you got an old five hours the sunlight you need that extra bit in the morning yup okay so what what is a where is it where is the special lighting is it like up in the rafters is it where is it all you can you can get it like a way out you know like that your table just turn on the lamp in it okay like sunlight it's amazing because I would hear stories like that and be like your real that's serious and which state could tell me stories about Alaska it's very different it's dark and depressing in the winter so what do you got going on today all are you alone date I hate the patriots I'm tired of hearing about okay they're done they're not the playoffs I'm thinking about him and I want to bring up how Europe will be an adult this year capped off by the bills getting screwed on a touchdown and I am just sick of the ana Salt Lake UT all you hear about the officiating that is just the outcome of the game I want to create I would agree with you that officiating is in crisis but what I would also tell you is is that the NFL set new ratings numbers this year in various weeks with record ratings and things and I so I as much as you want I care we are crack addicts where were we we we're still going to come back next week for our fix so I don't feel like they look at us and say this is a real crisis this is something we really have to fix is that fair the crisis I'm just you know the it's awful do you ever remember been this bad no I've not ever since the strike it it's just been terrible terrible yeah I don't I I never remember it being this bad thanks Tommy I hope you have a good day in Alaska baby Scott in Alabama joins us Scott welcome to the John Kincaid sure good morning how are you Scotty under umbrellas John nugget the best show in America you know I tell you that I appreciate that ma'am that is really really great and hope you had a good couple weeks out we do we try to we try to yes our system to really quick bangs you was talking about the home field advantage situation yeah what do you think about that I took just a recap for the people there were two hundred and fifty games play in the NFL this year where teams played on their legit home city home field so I took out all the neutral site games home teams were one hundred and thirty and one hundred and twenty to make it out mother notice probably younger people are probably not a little bit older now than they used to you know when we're coming up okay isn't really intimidated and outside the travel conditions might be a little bit better now you know it used to be hard on you a lot harder on the body anybody's one mine found it you know on Sundays in our side and some out to you but I I think travel conditions the problem down that's really are you know that's a great theory on that I never thought about that is the players in the NFL now Scrabble and stay in five star hotels and they're traveling on private jets they don't fly commercial that's right and it's it is it's a lot easier it's a lot easier can I ask you this Scott do you feel troubles easier for you like like I think travels more of a hassle than it's ever been like for the regular person I traveled to Europe but earlier thank you I get a little bit a little bit more pursuant to three I think I have not I I've flown on team charters hi Leon on quick when I know yes record note switch gears just a little bit the Alabama makes you know I've been watching Alabama football so it's not the set me up with somebody fifty six years old actually until yes I watch a lot of football and I the first time I have ever seen us run not taking these and run the score global at one twenty six second though thanks so save it might have a long memory of some stuff yeah how tall bouncing it absolutely about Jim Harbaugh you know well first of member when Jim Harbaugh used to bring his traveling clown show through the south and have his little I have his football camps and everything and then talk a big deal about how the Michigan program was going to invade the south well guess what time we take our coat saving a cheater one time not have long memories well now you know though you know though I think he was saying that more about Kirby smart I think is he actually sort of alluded to that I appreciate your call thank you buddy I love seeing Jim Harbaugh have it handed to him I really do but you know what's going to happen because this is what big ten media does up in big ten country this is what big ten media will do they will talk themselves into Michigan being a legit college football playoff contender again next summer I will spend the entire summer telling you don't fall for their garbage but they will and it will continue to be sworn that way it was tough tough in big ten country this this this bowl season because I there there's nobody who cares about ball games more than big ten folks I'm convinced of all the conferences there's never been a conference the cares more about talking about what you do an exhibition games then big ten fence and I'm not saying that it's a that it's a bad thing to be into football via football you want I personally have always had the impression and always had the belief I don't give a flip about ball games except for the games that matter for the national championship I don't I don't care about your bowl record I don't care how you did it in the in the you know the the the bio flex bowl I don't care I you did in the in the frosted flakes bowl lag I don't care and more importantly I will always be able to point out that in it goes across all conferences their teams they care about getting to a ball game that are really excited to be there I know my temple owls who failed even show up in their bowl game they're excited to to a program like temples excited to go to a bowl game there are other programs that have aspirations for a national championship in when they don't make a bowl game in whatever conference there from there let down there there like all gosh that's not that really sucked that was a good all right the eagles in the sense today the Vikings and the sea hawks now you're talking about four teams in the NFC that if you're going by health and most suited to win today the eagles and then the Vikings are in the worst position plus for the New Orleans Saints they put themselves in a terrible position by losing to the Atlanta Falcons I game and losing a game they're critical critical game they end up having the three win scenario to go to the Superbowl and the three win scenario to go to the Superbowl is such a more difficult road to navigate then the to win scenario because most likely when you are playing on wild card weekend even if your whole team so for New Orleans for Philadelphia this is their last home game most likely last home game stranger things have happened the year the Arizona Cardinals went to the Superbowl they were for seed they made it to the Superbowl it rarely happens that if you are a three or a four CD you end up hosting the NFC championship game so you did yourself eight a self inflicted whole that you've got to build out of here to find a way to dig yourself out of climb out of that hole and so for the eagles in the saints today it's look it's it's it's two different scenarios the saints is we're disappointed to be playing this weekend for the eagles it's we had a disappointing season and we've got a chance to change that narrative if we can win today two different scenarios for those teams now for the Vikings the Seahawks they're different things on the agenda and we'll get to them coming up here on the jacking KGO.

"TV fire stick Chromecast anything you can literally click the button on your phone essentially hijack that device can be watching the show within minutes no subscription and doesn't cost anything and so and then you you have what five episodes out how do you are you going to make all of them free or do you yeah so that first eight episodes the complete season one is now they're on the and this'll long story of how people around the world can watch because you may you may have discovered this because you're a streaming network too but around the world every time someone streams an episode of our show we have to pay for it it's not free he he so so we just all of a sudden made completely free around the world you know today we would lose millions of dollars streaming cut people understand people know that it's I didn't know that Reese I do it's really expensive right that's why people are like don't give the subscription to everybody right because the more you're pumping out more people watching the more X. it becomes very expensive quickly right so but but are investors and our viewers have seen the episodes in a freaked out about him they're most common comment is how do we get this to others we they want this to go to the world so we've told them if you want us around the world you're gonna have to help us and so when people buy an episode or or watch an episode I should say by when they watch an episode we tell them this was paid for you by someone else and that person can then choose to pay it forward so we've got to pay it forward idea where viewers can help people around the world see this for free and so when they do that when they're supporting the show by by purchasing episodes for others there also allowing us to do future episodes and sees how many seasons do you have in your head seven or eight probably me we want to tell the story so I mean and and it sounds crazy work we we we believe that over the course of the next six seven years we're gonna need to raise about a hundred million dollars and that sounds ridiculous but no if it's if it's as good as it appears to be in the first season right and you can keep this pace I don't think that's the first season based on a short film I did for my church that I shot is about the birth of Christ in perspective the shoppers and a shot on my friends farm in Illinois raised ten million dollars nineteen thousand people it seems like again but like you said the pacing is such that we can pull this off yeah so yeah I just got tired of waiting for Hollywood to lower it scepter to allow me into their hallowed halls I mean I don't have to anymore I yeah you do you can just go directly to the people now I remember two three years ago even I went to Hollywood to pitch and went to Amazon and everybody else it doesn't matter right you know that those gates were still there right those gates aren't here anymore right and you had a lot to do with breaking that down so I've you know I really appreciate that because I think you had this attitude of I wanna be able to say what I want yeah I want to be able to do it in the way that I want so I'm just going to and it's it's it starts off rough there's growing pain for sure I don't know if you know about that and and we were on the not the leading edge we run the bleeding okay but you you open the doors for a lot of people not so we're hoping to do as well but for now we're just concentrating on getting this show to as many people around the world as possible amber figure out along the way how can we do that without going bankrupt and are we found the people when they see the show are so hungry for it and they the comet we get over and over and over again is I've I've never seen anything like this in fact John here cantata who's a well known author and speaker she said thank you for telling the old old story which is a phrase from him in an impossibly fresh way and that was one of the most meaningful compliments of ever received because I've heard the stories hundreds of times and I want I'm not changing them but I do want to tell them in a way that feels fresh and it feels like for people especially who maybe haven't grown up in church but you can see the stories and feel like I have to Jesus I would want to know and these are people I would want to know this is a story I want to watch and there's not much out there you know he got shows like game of thrones stranger things all the shows the people's binge watch we wanted something that people would have watch parties foreign binge watch about Christ and I think it's great yeah I think it's great I'm all right here's what I want you to do I want to go to the apple apps store right now and I want you to download the chosen app it's free you can download it right now you'll be watching the episodes after this show is over you can watch the episode others you know that might be you know wanted to watch a right now you'll be able to watch it in about a minute yes so it's the chosen and a you'll find that in the apps store downloaded and support thank you so much thanks gone yeah you really have to make it to the third episode when use UC Christ any sector third episode with children it is personally don't look like the Christ that like everybody always shows but when you see him with children you're like that is absolutely the way he would be absolutely the way he would be it's just such a great series check it out with your family the chosen all right clock is ticking Christmas couple weeks away you still have a little shopping to do probably for that one person that you have absolutely no idea what to get them on now you could get them the X. chair but maybe not maybe not you never know Christmas is about surprises anyway they will be very very happy plus you can sit in it when they're not around it's the next year it's really great patented dynamic variable lumbar support ten settings the X. here is what those around you need for a comfortable work day Tanya sits in mind which comes the office will sit in my next year and she absolutely loves it and she was like hello Christmas is coming I'd like one.

Netflix will stop working on older TVs and streaming sticks

"To you one of those TV's that you can just watch Netflix on whatever take built into the TV yes yes the calm smart TV's and there's an announcement that some older vizio in older Samsung smart TV's even though they have Netflix on it they will stop being able to use Netflix so lower yeah they're changing the encryption and whatnot in those older TV's don't have tips and on the can do it so now we're at the top at the we're at the age where if you want to watch new content you have to upgrade or replace your television yeah well or or I like a fire stick apple TV or something to do the decoding for you but the problem is the reason people buy the smart TV's is you have one remote to use yes some of them allow you to do upgrade John firmware suffer from room project I've seen that in mind at home I can upgrade K. two different versions of some of the apps that are on their way to school yeah now you can upgrade the apps I think the problem in these particular TV's is that the chip itself is not powerful enough to decode the signal anymore at the because they're changing how the signal basically what happens I don't know if our listeners if any of you remember the old days of cable where it was analog if you came to a channel you didn't pay for it was scrambled and it be all we need and you couldn't really tune it in well there's something kind of similar when they send out video streams from Netflix and Amazon it in code and then decoded at your end and that's how they can stream it out over the internet and people can't just you know copy but it takes some horse power to do takes a chip to do it those chips are in you're smart TV's think of your smart TV as a little computer inside not sure that's what it is that's why you can get apps where everything's going

Privacy part 5 - heroes and villains

"Talking tech is brought to you by wicks dot com. Create and publish a stunning website. All from one powerful platform. Go to wicks dot com to create your very own professional website today. That's w I x dot com in stay tuned after the show to hear you can take advantage of special offer for talking tech listeners this week. We've been talking about the murky world of tracking of how companies like Facebook, Google Amazon, and apple follow our every footstep, I'm Jefferson Graham. This is talking tech in today, the Sunday shin the bottom line edition, how these companies could improve what we've learned how Facebook and Google or the greediest of data consumers tracking us on smartphones even if we're not using their apps, how under the guise of opt in the company say, these features are accepted by consumers who are urged to do so in order to grab another app feature. Because the companies are not up front with them at no time in these smartphone pop-ups to the companies actually spell out in black and white. That doing so opting in will enable them to track our every move, we've learned how Amazon is recording. Our conversations at home in the car. The, the Alexa, personal assistant, even if we didn't use the Alexa, wake word to start the recording process. We know how apple is using it stance on privacy as a marketing tool. Woo, consumers who are uncomfortable with buying a competing device that grabs more information to turn around and resell to advertisers. So which one of these top four companies has the most to apologize for all of them. Let us count the ways we'll begin with apple we begin with the company behind the selling consumer device in the world apple in the iphone. It's great that CEO Tim cook regularly make speeches decrying rivals practices on privacy. But come on, Tim, you could stop Facebook, and Google from spying on people overnight by simply changing the usage rules of the iphone you turn on. Switch in no company could ever use the. The iphone to track people again, what a marketing tool that would be against Android phones, which, of course, track even more information Google, I loved that the search giant could tell me how long my morning commute will be and better yet. Make meaningful auto place elections on YouTube. Where knows my musical tastes really well, but the location history feature in maps has gotta go. It's intrusive and helps only one party, Google to sell more personalized ads Google claims that I opted in for it. I don't recall doing that nor if I did was Google up front about what I was signing up for. I found this clear upfront language, not in the pop-up urging me to change my settings, but on a helpage location history, quote saves where you go even when you aren't using a specific Google service, unquote. Or in other words, even if you don't have a Google app. Open like Google maps, or ways, what would happen. Even if Google was actually up front with consumers Facebook, so many people believed that the social network records, our phone conversations to listen in and serves us up ads that Facebook was forced to put out a blog post denying it. I had this really good idea instead of beating your chest and denying things that many believe to be true. Why not be up front with the public Facebook and actually explain really explain why these ads are so good at showing up immediately after being discussed with our friends Amazon in using the number one e Taylor. We realize what the game is all about. We sign in shop for stuff. Amazon takes notes. It tracks are licensed purchases in intern can recommend products. We might like that's all finding good, but along with that, it also throws ads for those products that follow us around on the web, that sometimes useful it reminding us that we forgot to click by, but most of the time, it's annoying and creepy. Amazon says we can change those add settings. People should not have to go to the bother at home. The echo speaker records our interactions, usually when confronted with the Alexa, wake word, but not always as when snippets of a USA day staff meeting were recorded, and the Alexa word was never mentioned. Amazon has dozens of hell pages to opt out of things, but they're not easy to read, and I would argue confusing to many why should I have to opt out in the first place? If I buy an Amazon, branded TV or the popular fire stick streaming player. Why should I have to go in and opt out a personalized adds a less? You tell me up front that I'm getting a deal on the TV in exchange for this service. No. And also, can we fix a Lexus? So it stops recording us without the wake word because that's creepy bottom line. Love using Google and Facebook, free services in many of us, don't mind, dropping thousand dollars on a shiny new iphone or one hundred bucks smarts, be here. Privacy - part 3, Amazon

"Talking tech is brought to you by wicks dot com. Create and publish a stunning website. All from one powerful platform. Go to wicks dot com to create your very own professional website today. That's w I x dot com in stay tuned, after the show to hear you can take advantage of special offer for talking tech listeners for the past two days, we've been talking about the various ways pit Facebook into little track, your every move on your mobile phone, and today in part, three of our series on privacy and tracking. It's Amazon's turn now on the phone. Amazon is not as greedy about data as the other companies. But when it comes to our home, lookout Alexa is always listening. Even if you don't say the wake word it notes. What we watch on television, it notes for how long we watch on TV. And then there's all those smart devices, the doorbell the security, camera and on and on it goes, but what I like is that Amazon is more up front about how it tracks. You and why? So you've all heard this term, cookie cookie is the little piece that attaches to your computer phone that will then track your performance whenever you go to their website. A lot of people get asked if they will accept the cookie, and they go, yes. Automatically Amazon tells you, if you don't accept the cookie, you can't use Amazon, because you need to let it remember what items you've shopped for in how to know the kind of products that you like, and it basically says, Amazon will not work, unless you give us your cookie. What you don't need to do is to allow Amazon to hit you with personalized ads b on selling merchandise. Apple has also forged a lucrative sideline in selling adds to manufacturers, who want to reach you all shopping. The company brought in some two point seven billion dollars in Adra Banou in the most recent sales quarter but to ditch the personalized ads which will then follow you around the web on mobile Amazon, will let you opt out you're still going to receive ads provided. By Amazon dot com on other websites. They just won't be personalized Amazon tells you, let's talk about the wake word Amazon claims that Alexa will only record your conversations. If you say the wake word that's not true because I can review my audio history on my phone in the Alexa app. I found many instances where recorded oddball phrases without the wake word, everything from ways telling me to go on one one south for one mile to a line from podcast, that I was listening to, quote, I know exactly who Ben desire was, where's the lexin that Amazon has dozens of help ages to opt out of things, but they're not easy to read. And I would argue confusing to many why should I have to opt out in the first place? If I buy an Amazon, branded TV or the popular fire stick streaming player. Why should I have to go in and out of personalize adds a less? You tell me up front that I'm getting a deal on the TV in exchange. For this service. No love using Google and Facebook free services. How'd y'all feet? I would love to hear your feedback on Twitter where I'm at Jefferson granny than listening to talking tech. "A now a name that doesn't really need engineer deduction. If you've been paying attention to our industry at all Jeffrey Stanfield us, the CEO and founder of advantage video systems, and seems to be the most tuned in person, I know this covering the show, Jeffrey, thanks. You are dressed to the nine. Got this friend of mine in Italy who did a TV station for ends me. These wonderful talion suits goodness. Can you turn the glitter down does that think plug in at night? I have been I've been really good businesses been phenomenal. We've been growing building a lot of video podcasting studios and growing in that aspect, and then you know, we've been doing a lot in asset management archiving stuff like that so management using what software. Well, we just did a big in. What is it a big install with CBS interactive with a cat Devi and zen data and a couple of other sources some storage from promise storage. And so we developed that all thing for them. We've been doing a lot with some Nasr. Luma forges been been Goodsell for us and doing some work on that. So for a cool, what if you have to show that you like, you know, there's so much to see the buzzes AK is a big buzz at the show. Stupid. But don't quote me on that. Now. I know if I if you talked to Mike Siani Bill, you know, AK is the most is where it has to be at. I I agree with you. You know, human. I can't really see more than that. You know in archiving for a K is has has an option. But you know, I I'm with you. I, you know, on the human I cannot see more than four case. So it's that's where I'm at. Besides eight Kate which clue been talking about a number of interviews show. What else caught your attention on the first day? But is that your last guest with the three sixty there's a lot of three sixty stuff that's being done at the show. We've been seeing a lot of that announcements. There's also a lot for live streaming live streaming as has played this year over last year. There was a lot last year. But you know, with with ACA, my solutions right next to you here and some of the new stuff that data videos doing some stuff that that black. Magic is doing some of the new the new technologies broadcast picks. Is a is a remarkable company that we've been working with. We just put a big in install at Dominguez hills college with the broadcast picks people and their stuff is phenomenal very low cost price with high-performance. So it's been one of you know. So live streaming is almost every booth has some play in the live streaming environment. It's pretty amazing when you think about how quickly that's taken off it is. And there's so much. It's so easy to get in into that. And so there's so much money made in if you do it, right and brand yourself and get out get out of YouTube. I tell people my big thing is get out of YouTube because when you have a YouTube channel, you work for you to that's what they call the YouTube channel, you know, so you know, develop your own channel develop your own brand. And I'm actually working on a talk with with Philip Hodges on out of brand yourself, how to how to have media people how to brand themselves because I think that's one of the things that editors and cinematographer is they know how to do the cameras and worth the to'real, but they don't know how to brand themselves, and that's one thing we're working together, very smart thing. Because as we continue to shift into a gig economy, the ability to make sure people understand who you are. And what makes you different from the competition critical? Absolutely. I mean you. Look back to the old apple different photos, and how Steve Jobs took those major big brands like, you know, like. On John Lennon, and I'll Einstein and all these great people that people identify with. And then pop the apple logo on so people identified now with with their heroes with apple and that kind of thing how you brand yourself is very important. I don't mean to to to short circuit you as advantage. Now say anything at the show that we need to pay attention to cite the fact that you continuing to grow. Well, you know, we're we're doing a lot of things we've all started new thing where we broadcast channel. We have seen called high launch. Tv we are on apple TV, Roku and was on fire stick Ross onto wreck TV com. Cash dish network. We're we're in thirty cities raw casting local televisions were on cruise ships were in hotel almost three hundred hotels.
