It's 6 O 8 traffic and weather together on the 8 sponsored by advent, here's Neil fiorito. We have a dense fog advisory as we all know in place until about 9 this morning, so very low visibility and spots that you head out the door along the rails, a holiday schedule in effect for metra and CTA, picking a CTA on the CTA brown line, kills are available between Kimball and kenzie, this is due to Gates, but malfunctioning at Kimball, so give yourself some extra time. Again, if you need the CTA brown line along the Eden's traffic looks pretty good, Kennedy decent for now where you're starting to back up is along the extension. I one 90 westbound as you head out toward the terminals on the Eisenhower I two 90 traffic looks pretty good so far. Same story on the Stevenson no crash is no major concerns on either side a pretty good trip between three 55 and dusan lakeshore drive. I 55 through will county is decent either way between three 55 and I 80. On the Dan Ryan, no major backups on your way out. Just know as you get on the ramp to the outbound Stevenson, you are down to one lane through the spring, I 57 and the bishop Ford both looking pretty good, Gustavo lakeshore drive okay too, but if your cell phone roadwork continues in the right lane between 57th and Hayes, no big backups, but it's there. Along the tollways the tri state northbound the ramp to the up on Stevenson shut down for work. Stick with county line or Lagrange road to the Alpine Stevenson, no worries on the Jane Addams tollway, the Reagan, the veterans route three 90, route 53 looks pretty good. I 80 there is road work that continues with a lane shift eastbound through Joliet, Chicago street over to Briggs. You also lose the exit to Richard so you can exit at Chicago street instead. All clear on the roads in northwest Indiana for the metro traffic center, your next report at 6 18, news radio one O 5 9. The Acura the forecast, calling for areas of dense fog this morning. "Too early to appeal there is no order written up yet. At the Illinois capital, Dave Dahl, one O 5 9 W BBM. Hey, it's 5 O 8, traffic and weather together on the 8s. Good morning, Neil fiorito. But a very light volume on most, starting with the Eden where you're just a 15 minute ride to and from Lake cook road, same story on the Kennedy as you make your way out to the airport and back. The Eisenhower I two 90 looking good in both directions on I 55, the Stevenson you're good to go either way between three 55 and do savo lakes for a drive. This is about 25 minutes, 55 to will county looking good on both sides. The south side expressways are moving well, the Dan Ryan 57 and the bishop board, nothing major to talk about on dusa Lake shore drive. I guess we could mention roadwork to continue south on 57th to Hayes the right lane is blocked and that's long-term work on the tollways the tri state northbound. You lose the ramp to the outbound Stevenson that is shut down the plan is until the end of this year. No major backups on the tri state though. I 90, the Jane Addams tollway looks good. So does the Reagan. The veterans memorial toy route three 90 route 53 all in the clear, watch for a lane shift along I 80 through Joliet if you're eastbound between Chicago and Briggs, no big delays right now. You also lose the exit to Richards, but you are able to exit a Chicago street instead. 80 94 65, the toll road all good in northwest Indiana. No worries on the skyway. Anything you see give us a call, let us know, please. The Dunkin traffic tip line, 8 5 5 7 80 road, have at it. 8 5 5 7 8 7 6 two three for the metro traffic center. You'd reported 5 18. That's very important. So your linebackers can scrape downhill. Here's Neil fiorito. Well if you're making your way along, I 80 west Bond a little bit of a tie up once you pass Briggs getting word of police activity in that area. Police activity on the near west side has Taylor street clothes near the Dan Ryan. Again, that is police activity following a shooting and a crash involving a semi that might be shut down for a while in that area. So avoid it, stick with Roosevelt or Halstead. Along the expressways, not too bad, the Eden's and the Kennedy both looking okay, the Kennedy little bit slow on the way out around Harlem, but that's about it. On the Eisenhower you're looking good, I two 90 clear between I 90 and the Jane burn interchange. The Stevenson decent just a little slow in both you approach to Dan Ryan ramp added extra minutes to your travel time if that I 55 will county looking good north and south on the Dan Ryan, no major issues on either side. I 57 looks good, so does the bishop forward to and from 1894. The sapa Lake Troy drive, no major delays, just know if your southbound roadwork continues once you hit 57th over to Hayes, it's in the right lane that has long-term construction. On the tollways, the tri state northbound, looking pretty good on the main line, just know the ramp to the outbound Stevenson is shut down. That is construction that is planned until the end of the year, which is coming soon. The Jane Addams to Ronald Reagan, the veterans route three 90 all looking pretty good. Route 53 a decent drive in the northwest suburbs, 80 94, 65, the toll road all looking great northwest Indiana. No issues on the Chicago skyway this morning. "Give us a call at three one two four zero 9. At 7 38, traffic and weather together on the 8th years Neil fiorito. Near west side, Taylor street remains closed near the Dan Ryan due to police activity in that area, avoided by using Roosevelt or hallstead across the expressways, kind of light for the most part, guys. We're looking good on the edens in both directions. A little slow on the Kennedy as you make your way out bond between nagel and Harlem, but really that's about it as far as the Kennedy expressway goes. The Eisenhower I two 90 looking pretty good on either side between the Jane Adams tollway and the Jane burn interchange, looking okay on the Stevenson, just a little slow inbound as you approach to Dan Ryan ramp, 55 through will county good on both sides between I 80 and three 55. On the Dan Ryan expressway not too bad either way, just keep in mind if you're making your way out on the Ryan. The ramp to the outbound Stevenson is down to one lane, I 57 nice and clear either way, so it was a bishop Ford on dusan lakeshore drive roadwork set up southbound, 57 to Hayes, the right lane is blocked, and that's long-term construction. It's always not so bad. The tri state, if you're a northbound, the ramp to the outbound Stevenson shut down for construction, clear on the Jane Addams, the Ronald Reagan and the veterans memorial tollway that's I three 55. Route three 90 looks great so does route 53 in the northwest suburbs a little bit of a backup on I 80 this morning westbound this past Briggs 1894 65 the toll road thumbs up in northwest Indiana, looking good on the skyway too. "Catch up later. There's a lot to listen to. So get started and download the free Odyssey app today. It's 6 28 traffic and weather together on the aids. Here's Neil fiorito. Well, my really not too bad across the roadways. They are wet and of course you're driving and getting all that salt splashed on your windshield, have plenty of fluid as you head out the door, always a good idea to keep that in your car too. If you can, along the Eisenhower, we're still a little heavy on the way out from an earlier crash from above our Harlem over to 9th avenue. If you're making your way around the near west side, you want to avoid Taylor near the Dan Ryan. That's a crash involving a semi and a closure in that area. Stick with Roosevelt along the Eden's no worries there on either side. The Kennedy a little bit slow inbound from nagel the central, a 25 minute ride coming in from O'Hare to downtown on the extension expect a little bit of a delay westbound as you're heading toward the terminals. Stevenson, not too bad, a little slow inbound approaching the Dan Ryan ramp and that's about it. On the Dan Ryan traffic looks pretty good back and forth between 95th and downtown. A good trip on I 57 and along the bishop Ford, usa Lake shore drive as well. Across the tollways, no major complaints, all 5 of them are moving along pretty nicely along I 80 through Joliet no issues, 80 94 east ball and Torrance earlier crash removed from the entrance ramp so you're moving well in that area now. From the metro traffic center, your next board at 6 38 is radio 105 9. Well, the metro UPU northwest line trains are running again, rob with the lays due to earlier police activity. Near Palatine at another 20 minutes or so to your time, near west side, you want to avoid Taylor near the day and Ryan due to a crash involving a semi, you can stick with Roosevelt instead. Along the expressways, you're nice and quiet on the Eden just 15 minutes either way between Lake cook and the Kennedy junction. The Kennedy's not too bad where we're seeing a delay like usuals. I'll tour the airport along I one 90 westbound where you're slow from the tri state to about mannheim and that's as you head out toward the terminals. I two 90 the Eisenhower nice and light either way on the Stevenson building traffic inbound as you approach to Dan Ryan ramp. No troubles on the way out though. I 55 looking really good through will county in both directions. On the Dan Ryan, we're slowing inbound from sumac and outboard to past 18th. No biggie on the way out though. I 57 looking good to and for my 80, no worries on the bishop Ford freeway. Just open road back and forth between 80 94 and the Dan Ryan, Gustavo lakeshore drive, no big delays, just know if you're making your way south bottle along the drive, 57 to Hayes, you lose the right lane that is long-term construction across the tollways on the tri state, no big backups, but if you're north bond on two 94, the ramp to the outbound Stevenson is shut down. That is for road work through the end of this year. The Jane Adams stowaway and the Ronald Reagan, both in good shape, so is the veterans memorial. Route three 90 looks good east and west, route 53 A-okay northbound and southbound. I 80 through Joliet decent, just no eastbound. There's a lane shift to be prepared for if you're not used to it between Chicago street and Briggs. You also lose the exit to Richards that shut down till early next year so you can stick with Chicago street as your exit instead. Northwestern Indiana good to go on 1894, 65 and the toll road. "With coverage beginning at 9 a.m. on your home of the bears, Dave kerner, and he's radio one O 5 9 W BBM. I think it's 5 18 traffic and weather together on the 8s and here's Neil fiorito. Very little stresses you head out to the roadways this morning. They are wet and you'll definitely need a lot of washer fluid to make sure you can keep your windshield clean for that salt that bouncing up off the roadway, but aside from that, looking pretty good. So if you're on the edens, starting between lay cook and the Kennedy junction, you're wide open. It's a 15 minute ride on either side. Same story on the Kennedy to and from the airport, no major delays. The O'Hare extension I one 90 looks good to and from the O'Hare terminals along the Eisenhower you're good to go on either side between the JD Adams tollway and the Jane burn interchange. Stevenson starting to build inbound as you approach today and Ryan ram pretty typical, the outbound side of the Stevenson nice and light, 55 to will county looks good on both sides between three 55 and I 80. Fellside expressway is looking pretty good so far. That includes sedan Ryan 57 and the bishop Ford freeway to Sabo lakeshore drive nice and light so far up and down. Good morning, Neil fiorito. Good morning rob, not too much happening on the roadways as far as the expressways and the tollways go. Tollways, a tri state northbound, the ramp to the outbound Stevenson shutdown for road work that will continue until the end of the year. That's the plan. They just can't keep up with the NHL big boys and lost for the 19th time in 22 games. I feel like every time we just got a chance they all collapses 5 and I'm just going to take away our second chances for blocking shots too. We've got some bucks here, but they're there to kind of take us away and now get the pockets on. So the Blackhawks fall again and now they're in a back to back, a huge plus 300 underdog at Minnesota tonight. The bears have a light practice in store of Justin Fields getting over a short case of the sniffles. He's back at practice, no problem. He'll take on the eagles Sunday. We're going to talk live with game day analyst and Super Bowl bear Tom thayer. Live at 6 45, we'll get a little dial in on the bears eagles preview fields is closing in on some records 95 yards and two touchdowns away from being the first NFL quarterback with over 1000 yards rushing and ten or more touchdowns in a season. So fields and the bears about 9 point underdogs, light practice today, fair, 6 45. San Francisco takes out Seattle 21 13, the forty-niners win their 7 straight and clinch the NFC west. Josh, news radio one of 5 9 WBBL. Hey, it's 5 18, traffic and weather together on the 8s here's Neil fiorito. Rob following a 9 year wait more lanes and ramps are again open into the burn interchange as you make your way along the Kennedy the Eisenhower and the Dan Ryan. Still seeing some delays on the inbound Kennedy as you make your way through the hovered street tunnel so you're looking at about 23 to get in off the junction of 29 minute ride in for mohair. The outbound side of the Kennedy is nice and neat along the injured good to 15 minutes either way between Lake cook and the Kennedy junction. Not a bad ride on I one 90 actually pretty clear as you make your way to and from the terminals on two 90, the Eisenhower traffic is moving along fine on both sides. Something to keep in mind on the Eisenhower that the ramps to Harlem and Austin are on the left hand side of the expressway. Mister friendly reminder so you don't have to cut over last minute on both sides, you'll find those ramps to the left. On the Stevenson traffic is wide open either way between three 55 and dus Lake shore drive, the Dan Ryan in pretty good shape. I 57 just your typical roadwork set up right around I 80, but no major delays with it now. The bishop Ford freeway is looking pretty good along dusa lakeshore drive. Nothing major to mention always along the tri state making your way northbound and cell phone, no biggie there, the Jade Adams toll weighs I 90, and that's clear. The Reagan told way the veterans toll away route three 90 all looking good. In the northwest suburbs, clear road on route 53, same story on I 80 through the southwest verbs, northwest Indiana, aok along 80 94, 65 and the toll road just remember because of the wet weather that we've had the last couple of days, definitely a lot of slickness as you're making away especially along the ramps and along the bridges. "19 the game was tied at halftime, the rambler suit up with Boise state out in Myrtle Beach tonight. Josh, news radio one of 5 9 WWE. Had 7 48 traffic and weather together on the 8th, here's Neil fiorito. Well, a bad drive due to weather in the south side of the city. The area of the south shore, especially around the skyway in those areas and then in the south suburbs, a lot of crashes and a lot of slower traffic because of the weather and we're seeing that in northwest Indiana we have been all morning, 80 94 east by you are still heavy towards the state line, crash it was in that area has been cleared from the lanes. I 65, though, you're pretty jammed up on both sides north of U.S. two 31 and spots all the way to U.S. 30, flick conditions and crashes reported throughout that stretch that another big backup on 65 further north, this past 61st street over to 80 94, and that due to a stall blocking a lane on the Indiana toll road westbound jabbed up from grant to Klein from an earlier wreck, each phone we're getting word of a crash. This past willow creek road pretty heavy because of it. Tri state beery heavy northbound from 95th the past to Stevenson. That's a stalled semi blocking the right center lane, getting word of a crash on the Dan Ryan coming in bound right around 79th, pretty heavy, it's 34 minutes out of the way in. Word of a crash on the Stevenson two coming inbound at pulaski and that's why we really jammed up on the inbound side of the Stevenson from Harlem, 51 coming in from three 55, 40 in from the tri state. On the Eden just backing up inbound at the junction, Kennedy 43 N for the airport headed back out 26 on the Eisenhower beach an hour coming in from 90, 38 in for mannheim close to 40 on the way out. Over on 55 it will count just a little slow like usual northbound around 53 to the veteran stowaway. Next traffic report 7 58 news radio one O 5 9. Mackie with her blustery and really cold. "In a new Linux. The Exxon on Wes layer away has gas for three 99 a gallon. 6 38 traffic and weather together on the 8 sponsored by advent here's Neil fiorito. A lot of slick conditions as you make your way to the south this morning in the southwest suburbs, the south suburbs of south side of the city, and then of course south as you make your way to northwest Indiana and even heading out toward Michigan. We have a ton of crashes in northwest Indiana and closures as well unfortunately. 65 north bonds stop traffic past state road two to two 31 that's a rollover semi all the lanes are down, all the lanes are blocked further north on 65 past 1894 with a crash as well. Southbound stop and go from 1894 to 61st, that crash has been cleared away thankfully, the lanes are back open, but all lanes are blocked further south with a crash at a 190, so Broadway or U.S. 41 definitely the way to go very slick conditions along 80 94 and some delays in both directions as you make your way through Hammond on the old oy side, nothing made sure to report unless you're in the southern suburbs again and on the south side of the city, getting word of tons of crashes because of peace of ice across the roadway. So the bottom line is this morning, give yourself a lot of extra time, especially if you are to the south make sure you have plenty of washer fluid as well. Our travel times are really building on the Illinois expressways, but no lane blockage at all. Next traffic report 6 48 news radio one O 5 9. "Here on second and goal. The give is to Henry. He'll throw and Henry throws a touchdown to Austin hooper. They hand it to Henry before he gets to the line of scrimmage. He floats a three yard touchdown to hooper, his first of the year and the Titans pull one out of the back of the playbook to take a 20 to 9 lead. To love the description from cabbie hudler Westwood, Juan Ben lieber on side of the Titans roll over the packers 27 17 with Henry rushing for a touchdown and throwing that touchdown. Ryan Tannehill throws for 333 yards at a couple of the touchdowns, Aaron Rodgers goes down just by two 27 and two TDs, the packers are four and 7. The bears are on their way to Atlanta. After a practice today and a little time tomorrow, they're about a field goal underdog with tight end Cole combat and DB Kindle vildor limited at practice. Argentines bid final farewell to Maradona as national mourning begins

"Welcome into this special edition of espn fc as we pay tribute to diego maradonna. Who passed away today at the age of sixty craig burley with me here in the studio you can clinton joining us a little later on in the program to talk about what it was like to play against him. We also welcome to the show gab. Marcatti and argentine colleague from espn deported. Ricardo ortiz is with us rookie. I want to start with you to try out. Some how important. Maradona was for argentina. Hi guys pleasure to be with all of you. Maradona as the most important figure ever in argentina i. It doesn't matter what where when everybody would always talk about madonna. He's a legend. Now the idol and now a legend. I it's just unbelievable the morning and what people on the streets are doing in the middle of a pandemic they don't care if in argentina right now for example in the stadium of book juniors. There's hundreds of thousands of people probably a lot more tonight gathering where he played and won a championship. There's hundreds and thousands of people gathered around out of junior stadium where it all started and there's hundreds and hundreds of people outside of his house in a very poor neighborhood. Outside of one is ours. Quality fiorito the house where he grew up on with dirt floors lighting candles every street every corner every city. Every town people are out on the streets and tomorrow in the funeral it will be in the government's palace. They're expecting over a million people tomorrow in the center of one side is to say goodbye to somebody. Who's the most famous argentinian for us. And the most famous argentinian around the world ever so people are really suffering something that they knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later. What a player was. Yeah i mean multiple world cups. They played on one one obviously in a sex with not the best argentina site but he was amazing went to spain and eighty two and played in the world cup's twenty one year old a way in his shoulders. One so young at that point got himself sent off from the big game against brazil will even lend from the came back was even stronger delivered and one of the things that were thinking about is up until his death today. If he'd gone to any club to visit and the world the moment be the biggest clubs in germany. spain. Italy england every player. Some of these players are superstars. Everyone of these players would have wanted a photo. We've seen some of the pictures videos during the when he did go and visit Clubs over the past few years and an all these guys all the ones to do a photo. Welcome because everybody just know what a superstar boys and it could walk into any club under beg stars would all be over to say please. Can i have a full. Because that's how much people hold them and respect gap markazi with us as well gabe. Obviously we heard how argentina is hurting in particular as naples today. No question about it. People are out there on the streets in naples. Even though of course there is a curfew going on right now The connection that he made with naples obviously his adopted city and some might look some of the darkness in his life and pinpoint. That is the moment when when things started to go wrong for him by you know you. You speak to his teammates former teammates and dal speak of of his generosity. They speak about how he was always front and center always standing up to be counted. Random people on the street and to this day in the streets of naples. You'll find murals tomato. You'll find shrines to montana. He had a hold over a city city. That was when you arrive was was beaten down was was impoverished had never won a title There's a divide between the wealthier north of italy in the poor south of italy and they won two titles while he was their third one. They let slip away at the end. Still rather murky circumstances and he's the guy who changed all that he changed the inevitability of history. I think in the eyes of the united a lot of people and that's why he resonated so much she loved certainly enables but i think beyond that he loved being anti-establishment he loves speaking his mind. And i'll tell you what. Then i throughout his life you know. He had highs and lows he made enemies and then at times but in the end in the last fifteen twenty years whether whether it was pillay whether it was peter shilton he he came back and he made up with with a lot of the people he he fell out with and i was struck by something i read. I read somebody posted an interview. He gave back Back is a nineteen year old where he talked about how we talk about. Favorite actor was right on which i found kind of random but he talked about what is greatest trait was and he said i wanna be friends with my enemies and and i think in many ways that is how much of the world from a distance viewed him as as somebody who had the good fortune before he passed to go back and and and really rebuild all the bridges and all the relationships and and really leave us on on good terms with good terms with with very much. Everybody out there ricky. Take us through your point of view with regards to how you will remember him. Remember him of one of the greatest ever on the feel and also a personality so strong and controversial of it. Not many great athletes have done that that to be so much in spotlight for his entire life since since he was about seven eight years old when in argentina they started talking about him he used to play for the us and the red star is today's roca. Were people will gather out of nowhere. Because they knew there was a new kid that was unreal and this was way before cable internet and social media and he did all that before those times. Which is just incredible. He was just different than everybody else and that will remember him. Also as a great great captain whether you love or you hate him. He loved that. Argentinian jersey. More than anything in more than anybody. He was a great leader. He would push to the end. And that's why how he won a world cup. That's how we made it to the final and the second world cup. He played injured with his right leg in really bad shape his ankle and really bad shape. If you look at through the years he started at the age of sixteen Playing in first division and he never stopped. I think he could've played ten more years if he would've taken care of himself. I also remember him for that for not being able to really take care of his body and his mind. It just went over his heading. Never control himself. He went into politics and a lot of people hating him for that but he always spoke his mind. He didn't care. What where when and all. These things for maradona are just different. From almost every other athlete maybe with except mohammed ali that in and out of a field or boxing ring he just kept being on the front page of every paper and every newspaper that was ever printed. It's just unbelievable coming from argentina that i was listening to be there. You know you think of italian soccer in the eighties. I think he was one of the first ones who made people around the world. Want to watch league. Like the italian league just because maradona was playing he. He won napoli twice where they could have. Never even come closer to that. And i've been there many many times and it's just unreal today yesterday and thirty years ago for every day you can buy and maradona shirt. A lot easier than you canning. Senior member things ham seek e way. Anybody that played after him. It's just incredible. What those people thought and loved about the madonna to go back to you. What ricky said about. you know. it could've played longer. Potentially i looked after these body a little bit longer and his main but then the game didn't look after the maradona's back in those days and for louis people the younger generation watch lino massi. Do all these things and they are great. And i'm not taking that away. But he was doing that on. ploughed fields. right with pitches where the ball would. Something's wouldn't even bums are bubbled hard to control with defenders who were some of the roughest toughest one and literally wanted to snap them. It's not please legs. Because that was the only way to stop him and he had to deal with that every time we went on the field and still perform and some of the most wonderful and great goals. That will ever see you can imagine ho has body with the bean. At the end of a game ho the game was played and refereed and the eighty s is a complete contrast to the modern game and rightly so the way the current players are protected. He did not have the did not have that luxury and yet were still able to do that. Which is quite amazing. We'll say thank you very much to rookie for joining us Of course we just say out pouring of support. And this is what i had to say on twitter. What's sad news. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend. There is still much to be said but for now make god give strength to family members. One day. I hope we can play pool together in the sky. Welcome to the show. Now someone who knew exactly what it was like to go. Head to head with maradonna international level in a world cup final and obviously on domestic level clinton's men into milan. When diego maradonna was. That is very best for napoli again. Thank you very much for your time. Just your initial reaction about very very very said moment. I think full entire world of football On monday madonna was Was an absolute exception. He was Probably for to take decades. You know the late eighties to the nineties. The most most Amazing play on the planet. He was a A genius he was i. I called him always artist. There's there's they did degrade football player. And then there's maybe one artist and diego maradona's was an artist. He what he did on the field full of creativity full of unbelievable to take knee was just an her off. And i had the pleasure to play many times against him with club team if it was stood guard and you if a cup final was germany world cup finally if it was Into milan the two games against napoli. And you just simple simply admire this guy and to have him. Passover early just sixty sixty years of age is a very very sad to pull unfortunately reality. You can just take us back to to that time. And just how big walls he while he was on his own level in. Oh they were great players obviously in the late eighties. Early nineties in italy Lauder mateos was one of the best players in the world goalie from boston. Right cut curriculum. Ow before i was maybe blood was was was unbelievable. Great players but he was an another level. He was just someone that that always made the difference and figured things out on the field that nobody else could figure out so you could men mock him. You could mock him his own older. You had no no idea how to mock him because he was just so gifted and so there was so much admiration for him and and outside the field he was just a simple very Normal person in a lot of people thought momma donna. All his Issues then drugs and other things. Li laid on was a very complicated person. He was not. Diego was a very down to earth. Very normal guy that just wanted to be with his friends with his families and What he has brought to argentina you will never forget that in what he brought to his especially to is not believer son of naples That people will never forget that. So imagine today You know how people morning in argentina and in napoli in italy and around the world is just a just a very sad moment. you're what was it like the reaction from the crowds when you were up against napoli and maradona's was on the board. I imagine just that sense of expectation must've being palpable even as a player. Yeah i mean i've been. I heard the news i was. I was really shocked as money. And and i posted something on my twitter side and i rarely actually post things but by posted something that i always thought about. Diego was his warmup routine depending on the music in the stadium started to do his routine with jogging and the ball around and that was made him. I think it has seven million hits by now. Life is live music. Dead really is jay. Go on monday madonna. He just wanted to be in rhythm himself if the music with the game and when you watch him then doing his walmart you you phase him actually as an opponent and you kind of have lost the game because you gave him so much respect you give him so much and because he was such a fantastic football player that your and that kind of transfer to the to the to fans in the stadium you know the even away games for him became home games because the people just wanted to see him. You know if you played in milan in front of eighty five thousand which is kind of standing up giving him standing ovations even if you may be lost a game or other games so so he was just a. It was a sustained unique over almost twenty years. And i always put him on the same pay leeann fronts. Bacon bala prior to madonna and then obviously came the next generations with Mac in our analogy. But but donna izzo in his own way. I simply unique. You mentioned the next generation yorgen and a lot of people may be seen. Maradonna play live the younger generation who are watching. Just talk about the fact that was. That was the protection. Was that from the referees. That maybe have now and you're playing on very different surfaces as well well in in in his days Obviously the fields were not good. The reveries didn't give you any protection. Ended defenders has killers. You know they just ditch us. I don't know how many follows a game run on madonna. Try to stop him all over two three defenders at the same time when all over him and he's still find solutions he's still found found a way out in score and scott incredible goals then so he took a lot a lot of hits And obviously his fame than along side in the spotlight living. The spotlight was not really his his wish. His wish was to be a normal guy playing his game. Making the difference on the field off the field he just wanted to be with friends and family but what he what he achieved because of those circumstances doing his playing days is almost impossible to achieve the interest thing as i saw clip from an of. You're on sky sports in the uk from a couple of weeks ago and it was moretz. You'll portrait was on former tottenham manager of course former argentine international news talking and they were talking about maradona. And he said we know we have all these stories about the off-the-field antics of recent years and even when he was playing but behind the scenes privately when he was with you or with. These teammates. Away from the glare of the media. He was a really genuinely warm individuals that wanted to help people the rest of as all a big story true for the newspapers but it was interesting portrait. He spoke so long layover in another thing. I think about because it's a different era to me but playing against the likes of the brazilian ronaldo the world cup and france ninety eight and seen what he can do with three or four plans around. You thought you had time in the corner on the over sudden four people and he was getting strike goal and we know how good he was. Brilliant for the hair would have been laid to play against off. That's where it was like playing against a great player. Light renowned on the other thing was empty before my oktay jokes. Gian-franco franco zola. He was going to be the air at one point. I believe to diego maradona napoli. No zola was a majestic player. But can you imagine having the way and your shoulders of go in there and potentially replace the quality of maradona. so it's unfathomable. Anybody can do that. But but no yet i think everybody of have over the piece of just we know there's lots of stories. We notice milan. But this was really apart from great. Football was a really genuinely warm guy. Last point again you do fail. That will never be anyone like diego maradonna again. I don't think so. Because i think diego maradona was was so unique because the way he emotionally connected with the people of his people and weren't as iowa's in argentina his people in napoli was so deep it was so warm and it was so i- amazing to see i traveled to and obviously go down to two zero so badly wanted to watch book. Juniors weevil played one eight. My life was when my list. And i walked through. Borka the the area around the stadium and almost every second house wall was a was a painting a tribute to jingle maradonna. I mean it's just what he left there with the people they were one they just just melted into each other and the same. He did in napoli for for napoli august. This is a today is very very sad. Sad day because this is this is her almost lifetime hero. I mean throughout generations. You know what he brought to napoli brought to the city of napoli brought hope he brought a smile. He brought excitement. He gave them pride pride. Because you know those years when he joined napoli was a big big Have kind of a disconnection between the south and off in italy and and he wanted to give these people real a real jojoba real pride. And that's what he did through the game of football. He used the tool of football to to bring these people up and and give them give them a quality of life to give them so much more than just his goals on the field. And that's what you see him. That's why i think devil be not a second minor donna coming up anywhere in the world he was. He wasn't one time off like michelangelo or fun. Goal or all these famous autists. He's he's one of them. You can kinsman. Thank very much sheriff supposed to be an outpouring around the world on social media messy writing a very sad day for all argentines and football. He leaves us but does not leave. Because diego is eternal. I'd take all the beautiful moments linked with him and wanted to take the opportunity to send him condolences to all his friends and family. Alrighty
