"Whatever you're good granted with an aperture opens up to f five on the hundred and fifty millimeter and and six point seven. Weei out there at five hundred. You'd better be shooting in daylight or things are going to be a bit rougher you unless you want to crank your iso way up. That's still thing that all said. What zoom range. That is you know if you want to read way a out and grab a shot you can if you're shy but you still wanna do street photography. Who knows how many streets away you can do that from the new tamron. One hundred and fifty to five hundred millimeter. Get ready for f. Five to six point. Seven mark three v c. Vx the alphabet soup of a land as the company's very first super telephoto zoom. I sony mirrorless cameras. It's just three point seven inches. Why that's nine point. Five centimeters eight point three inches long also has twenty one point one centimetres win at one hundred fifty millimeter in. That is an eleven point one inches long also known as twenty eight point. Two centimetres zoomed to five hundred millimeters. You're probably gonna wanna work on your upper body strength though or use a modified because this lands weighs in at four point one pounds also one point nine kilograms with that foot attached. So you can attach it to amman pot or a tripod or three point. Eight pounds also knows one point seven kilograms if you're shooting at hand held and if you are shooting hand held and you're gonna feel that after a while. Trust me on this now. A sweet feature this lands is it takes just seventy five degree twist of the zoom ring to go from one fifty to five hundred millimeters or the other way around something. That's incredibly helpful. When it comes to not overly fatiguing your arm the last movement that you have to do the better now. The manual focus ring is closest to.

"Fresh books with fresh books. And yes i enjoy saying that. I'm never gonna stop. It's fun next once again. Sony underestimated just how popular they are because according to the company demand for the new fifty millimeter f. One point two g master is so great that it is greatly exceeded. that's their words. The expectations that they had for it. Now the senate can me says that they actually knew that demand even for this crazy expensive lands would exceed their ability to get them out quickly or at least they hoped it would and that's fine. You know it's a great problem to have people will wait. This is the kind of lands. You happily wait for especially if you have a couple of grand on a lens like this. It's likely to be a stellar lens. So it's one eight four now. It's worth noting that when this land was first announced back in mid march twenty twenty one had a pixel mothership sony if they would be able to keep up with demand for the new fifty one two and sony said they enzi any obstacles. That would keep that from happening. In fact they specifically said there weren't any current challenges in manufacturing a possible reference to the issues that caused delays in production of their thirty five millimeter f. One point four another stellar lands. And while sony isn't saying that manufacturing issues the reason for people having to wait for the fifty one to it's entirely possible that they just didn't think that demand for two thousand dollar lands would be as high as it's been especially during a pandemic one thing that he thinks sony realizes is it's become premium brand much like like and well like it's my experience that these days those with really deep pockets are increasingly buying into a full frame sony system. I'm not hearing about the rich guys or girls going with like a much anymore. It's like a switch has been flipped. You know they've seen that. Sony has all these incredibly advanced bodies and a mostly flashed out system of lenses etc including many on the g. master level. Now like this fifty one. Two and leica is kind of like whatever to them back in the day. The old guys. Let's face it was mostly all guys went with the like. So you could say you had to like or maybe you were a dentist and like it was the choice view but now it seems like many are going with sony because the technology is driving their thought process in getting these lenses and cameras by the way these two lens delays follow the ridiculously excellent twenty four millimeter f. One point four g. master. Another i was gonna say stellar just an impossibly amazing lens which was nearly impossible to find for the better part of a year after it launched. So that's three lenses now. Is that a big deal now. Not really i mean you can get all worked up about such thing and people used to do that on the forums. Maybe they still do. I don't know. I don't read them but to me it's indicative of just how popular and mature the sony system. Is you know it's the system. I'd be shooting right now if i cared about full frame which as you know i don't that's why went with fuji film again a year or two before they even start sponsoring this show. I know that you know that i was going to say that. But it's true it's smaller it's lighter it's less expensive and it's perfect for the kind of shooting that i do otherwise i would totally be all over the sony system like hands down no doubt about it in fact you may recall that when i i dabbled in mirrorless back in october i think twenty fifteen it was it was with the sony. A seven s the original the light gathering behemoth monster that it was although kind of tiny and an a six thousand a full frame and crop body respectively or respectfully if you say it incorrectly now it's unknown as to just how long it would delay. There's going be and getting your hands on sony's new fifty millimeter. One point two g master if you are so blessed with the big bucks but needless to say the sooner you get your order in that the sooner you negate yours that's still a thing about it's gonna be worth away you know by all accounts. It's an absolutely amazing lines. It's one of those lines is that you buy because you're either rich or you know that you need it. I mean it's a fifty after all a two thousand dollar fifty millimeter lands at that. You buy lens like this for that. F one point two aperture. If you're not shooting at one point to just save yourself the two thousand dollars you buy it for the f. One point two. Don't let anybody tell you. otherwise now. On a full frame body that thin slice of focus and boca is just insane. I mean it's beautiful and so sony he does it so well too. So if you're a poacher photographer and you could do some serious damage with a lens like that. Same with their eighty five millimeter f. One point four g. master. We'll see if they ever do an f. One two seems like they wouldn't though but the price tag for those. Ouch you better think long and hard before pulling the trigger on a crazy expensive lens like a fifty one to an impulse buy. This is not nope next. If.

"Twenty twenty one formula one seasons first major milestone took place that eight mclaren revealing. It's twenty twenty one call the mc l. thirty find and the team finished third and the twenty twenty constructors championship. And it's sayings powell. Thanks to trump as well as getting don ricardo as replacement for karla signs genius with all that change comes expectation and pressure and in this remark podcast recording. We'll be discussing what we learned from town. Today i'm joined sports f jonathan able to sports reports late smith and our technical editor jacob. Select and jake. I'm coming to you. I i question today what are the main takeaway technical changes that you've spotted on the mci five if he changes. There's a lot similar As we expected because twenty twenty cars we know very similar to was twenty. Twenty one calls with regards. Take the carry chassis for covid. Nineteen times Being still prevalent as well so does a few little changes Obviously we know that as the switch to mercedes and that's how big knock on effect to the rear of the car As we know every team has been lifted. Two tokens which they may spend on a certain area of the cost Areas requests takings to to develop The rea- off the chassis takes too so maclean seems to suspend its allowance on developing the era of the of the car. Try get as much bang free stock as it can because switching to the gym obviously if it can improve things there as well then. That's us what he's got a day. let's frontino which is relatively the same. As last year they introduce the. If you like mercedes star news In practicing magellan the carried forward. And i think part of the thinking behind that was because obviously that requires a cross strokes to change to to change in that requires tokens and so if they could do it right in the middle of the season than they wouldn't have to spend it going forward this season Hit them a little bit hard in when when the new updates first came out but they got it together. The end of the season. The place constructors championships. Obviously these changes date eventually bath fruits. But i think the key thing is of mentioned. The tokens have been spent on the rear of the chassis. The mercedes engine is not running power unit. It's a different architecture. It's a different layout and they've got to know. Just consider the mounting points on the chassis but cooling requirements as well and these will have a knock on effect on how the chassis is developed. So that's something they've had to consider. I think the most obvious showing if that is the change. The shape in the air intake before it isn't massively exciting. Last year. Had something of a darth vader mask kind of design which was is incredibly strange design. If you like is a lot more conventional this time it falls in line with what mercedes has every power unit has different cooling requirements Different architectures mentioned in the so getting the right cooling the right parts and the right amounts of cooling is is ideal so that's why they've gone to not direction obviously facing them say he's power unit into the back as well. That's that's something of a change so you'll the body sculpting in different way if you look to reaching point williams and mercedes as well last year. You'd see they'd have sleeping design on on the top of the sideboards and that's just to simply allow to drop down and on top of the floor and if you build you allowing high pressure that's to the floor. And if you building that pressure difference you're getting the disease to work harder now as we know another knock on effect of these regulations is the diffuse the as less potent this time around. They've had fifty millimeters lopped off the internal fences and so getting the to work as hard as it can is absolutely vital and say trying to get that clean athletes the back of the car. That's going to be so so important. In this situation to the regulations and other thing that we denote as well as the flows of changed mclaren has given us a glimpse of what it might look like by. Think that keeping their cards close to the chest on that one if you look at it. It's very very pads down. Let's say it's it's quite simplistic and we saw designs in practice the end of last year. That were a lot more complex. It'd be fat to say so again. Yeah the keeping something that keeping that caused cliffs that chest on that one because this might be an area of intense development of such but if team has a really good idea for that and is able to make up any ground. They've lost because they've lost of the all of these toys at the rear. End the slots the cuts if they can make up with what they do have available to them. It'd be a very lucrative area of development. So i think they're trying to sort of you know play expectations down on that front and just at the rear as well. The railing end. Play is brand new. If you'd seen that curved streak design something that has invented which is something. We don't say a whole lot on this on this channel but something they invent since one thousand nine hundred thousand. Something red bull ran with as well in in twenty twenty. So it's an interesting inclusion. it'd be interesting to see how how that works with the rest of the car. So there's a few to summarize a few new bits that we can see. I think there are more to come. By as a continuation. Looks very very sensible development of mclaren pops what we were

"Not gonna notice flashing or anything in your i It does have a fifty millimeter objective lens. The field of view they say is nine degrees by seven degrees. You know it isn't l. e. d. display. So it's better than just a standard you know. Six forty four eighty but it has digital zoom of two four and eight x. Who now you know. Of course when you're using this it's got built in video and audio recording speed could record the hogger shooting at whatever it is and then of course you can transfer it with a usb connection you can also stream over wifi with the site whatever is being seen in the site okay now the one feature. That's actually kind of worthwhile. It has a built in laser range finder. Which you know out of a thousand yards. So that's good. It does run on normal. Eighteen six fifty rechargeable batteries. And it does give you a seven hour runtime at room temperature. So of course. If it's colder you'll get less time Big deal you know the radical you get eight radical choices. Two of them are mill dots. You know it's Trying to think specifications sensor pixel pitches. Twelve micrometres i guess. Or how i guess. I don't know It's fixed focus. Of course it's one x regular and then the two four eight zoom But it says it has the magnification three and a half times you know. Okay it says you can recognize stuff out seven hundred and twenty six yards and identify it out to three hundred eighty yards size. It's eight point nine inches long. Four point one inches high and three point four inches wide and it weighs forty one and a half outside. So this is no lightweight thermal optic. Yes granted it is thermal. But that's and i think it's you know about four grand more than the other thermal sites in about the same category my opinion still digital so. I should preface everything about say with. I have very little experience with.

We don't know what to do with them. All but eight nine. I love the nine. I love the responsiveness of the i. Nine and the files are great. And you know as you needed to make a billboard alibaba. There's nothing wrong with twenty odd megapixels of you need to make billboard yes sir that's correct and and then i have. I've got a couple of funky. Old halio ukrainians fifty millimeter lenses in. I mean i just. I just if i find something. That's kind of cool and not only cost fifty bucks. I'll probably get it. You know our now. Adapter rings for these cameras. Now that there's almost nothing cannot adapt. And the fact that i mean the whole point of the mirrorless advance to me. Wasn't the the center body. Meant there was always room for an adapter ring and i bought. I bought one of those brass. The it's eighty five millimeter brass pets fall. That's the pets doubt eyebrow with a cannon mount and i put a a ring on it and i can shoot it on the on the eight nine and only can i shoot on it but i can though the really great thing about these the a seven and the nine and my book is the ice hooked up one of the function button so that when i push instead of shutter button i just moved my thumb up my finger ben. Hit see two in a blows it up about eight times and i can focus manually on somebody's eye and then i will get a sharp sharp picture and even some of my Honestly some eighty five one two. And the fifty one to yugoslavia. And i rarely ghanem really sharp because it was always like a little too much on the ear on the nose or something when you blow it up and to have that extra two seconds to manually focus and get shar. You've gotta sharp. Picture really starts to have a new look on something that you might have had before.

"And i have a great landlord for my office and so he will do things like say ham coming out sometime next week. I'm pretty positive. It'll be tuesday but it won't be later than thursday. I don't need to come in. They're going to be paying the building. But just in case you need to. And i'm like thank you so much. Paul i really. I super appreciate that because it helps me now. If i if i know these things are happening. Because because here's here's the thing a lot of people don't think about. I feel like is that other people have a life and other people have things to do and regardless how much you value or respect that person please understand that person is also managing relationships and other things things that are very related and this is what makes life a bit of a tile puzzle. I love that about him and if there were a change he would let me now and if there were a time when like the insurance inspector has to come check out the sprinklers. He always gives me lots of notice and we on the calendar and i say okay. See ten o'clock and that works out really well. I just thought Million complaining. I suppose but also i'm just i'm just as they say i'm just saying i think about that in your life when you when you have to deal with other people an appropriate amount of communication but if you have to favor one over the other and you're not sure what to do you communicate a little bit more but remember. You're the communication is about improving the relationship not making your life better it. Can you know consequently. Make your life better. But but we don't always need to communicate just to feel love that's kind of a separate thing but as professionals one to another we do need to be respectful of each other's time and respectful of the factors in one's life that we may not be aware of. We don't need to care about it but they care about it so if you want to be good at that stuff communicate make a plan. Keep the plan. And then keep communicating thoughts on that dan. Well when you talk about a plan. I'm always reminded about the you know. Because i was having a conversation with a family member earlier today and they were telling me that you know there. Have they have a whole bunch of things that are going on for them right now. Some of them are health things. Some are stressful things. And all these things are kind of. They're kind of culminating all at the same time and when that happens it can kind of feel i think for most people kind of overwhelming. And as we're talking about it i was. I used my house analogy which is not really the best analogy. But if you're if if someone were to show you a house and you're talking about your house. So i think i thought of it from that. Then you look at a house you say and they said. Could you build that absolutely. I could never build that and they said well. If i showed you how to do some some or i bet you anything you might even already know how to do. Some of these things could you. Could you nail two pieces of wood together. We'll the i could do that. Okay so in theory maybe with some practice you could frame out the house right. Well okay am take me while. But yeah i guess i could do that okay. We'll have you ever replaced a light switch. Yeah i've done that okay. Well maybe similar to the person is like. I'm pretty sure. I could win kung fu fight in an alley. Wha- kind of but even though even though i've never been in an alley or don't come right but the thing but the point is when you're faced with this kind of thing you realize it it's the plan is defined as a series of tasks or things that you have to do so when you start to when you look at the whole thing in broad strokes like is too much. I can't do it. But then when you break it down into those little steps into those individual tasks while i can do that and so i don't know exactly how that buttresses up against you're saying but in many ways near do no i mean i really think it does. I mean and there's a lot of do you know. I do six hours on this. Because it's like this is not only used to be a part of my job. It's something that i do. Think about a lot. Because because why. Because i used to have this I've been doing some stuff with Photography and videography trying to get my feet back in the game a little bit. And there's a thing i used to say. That was very valuable to me. I don't know if it's true. I don't know if it's accurate. I don't know if physicists would agree that this is accurate. But i used to think a little bit timer. I thought about the creative process as being a lot like focusing on lens where there are benefits to like a like a sub twenty eight lens and there are benefits to like a greater than eighty lens. You know but like when would you think about it is almost like macro versus like a zoom. What do you call that. The long distance lines you know Look at what telephoto lens. Telephoto sure yeah. Yeah if i'm doing a hype williams video and i'm gonna make it look like spherical because i'm using the most crazy fish islands ever I know you know this bits hockey was short. The benefit of that is. I see lots of things even though. It's all distorted. If i get a fifty millimeter lands that i can see one point incredibly clearly and everything else fuzzy and then if i get a macro lens or i guess if i get a telephoto lens like i have the benefit of being able to see a detail very closely to the exclusion of everything else. It's not the opposite of official islands. But it'll do for now and creativity. The creative process can be like that. It's like a photographer. I mean if you're going to get one lens. I guess you get fifty millimeter prime. But i don't have one lens carpenters. Don't have one tool the carpenter companies. Don't all the tools photographers. Don't need all the ones but they need a right amount to do the things so one of talk for knows. I'm going to do this portrait. Like i'm gonna want this year larger longer focal length. And i'm gonna to do that. Doing this is very gritty realistic thing. I want lots of fuzzy bouquet background. I will use the fifty. Nfl wouldn't it be hype williams. I'll use the fish. I and i understand with each one of those decisions. What i'm giving away for what i'm getting. So how does that relate to release the creativity. I think i think it relates to project management. I think it relates to all these things. How do you keep the vision for the big thing. We're trying to accomplish here in in an speaking of things not being hooked up to is at hooked up to anything. I understand the project. You want me to implement. But i understand why it's important to you or why it's important to the company organization team rate. So i need to again. Communicate well with the people above me as they say about like. We still doing the thing the way that you expect. And the way that the people above you expect it like.

"It was an ambitious project that though it failed would become part of the iconography of a decade in september nineteen ninety one the first term residents moved in to biosphere to a three acre volume built to be an artificial materially closed ecological system biosphere one being the earth itself a texas oil billionaire. Funded it to study. How people might one day be able to manage a self sustaining ecosystem for life on mars. It proved to be a lot harder in practice than it was on paper. The oxygen levels would drop too low. The crew didn't really know how to grow crops for food. Their pollinator soon died out and the ants moved in not just any aunts crazy ants. My name's moxy and this is your brain on facts. They go marching to by two. They're the subject of to cgi movies from nineteen ninety. Eight and a picnic wouldn't be complete without them today. We're talking about ants. This topic comes to you by popular demand to social media comments an email. That's a new record. So thanks to rachel. A prodigious and kate from strange animals podcast. We really should think about ants more often than we do considering how many of them there are. I've often enjoyed dropping the fact that the ant population is equal to the human population by weight. But is it. The claim comes from one thousand nine hundred ninety four book journey to the ants by harvard university professor and a german biologist. They based their estimate on the estimate of a british entomologist who calculated that the number of insects alive on earth at any given moment was one million trillion. If ants make up one percent of the insect world that's ten thousand trillion according to the book individual workers weigh on average between one two five milligrams according to the species when combined all ants in the world taken together way about as much as all human beings. So if you're going to play on a seesaw with a bunch of ants you would need about a million of them on the other end to balance you out assuming you weigh sixty two kilos or about one hundred and thirty seven pounds which i will tell you. I don't with around thirteen thousand ant species worldwide. There comes a lot of variety. They range from smallest less than one millimeter long to over fifty millimeters or two inches. That's the aptly named titanic mira gigante so weights vary too but experts seem to agree the average weight of an ant is less than ten milligrams but even among experts. No one really knows how many aunts there are in the world. A bbc documentary claims. There are not ten trillion ants but one hundred trillion though it still suggests that the total weight of the ants equals the total weight of humans. Even by the author's own math their calculations are wrong. If we estimate that the seven point two billion humans on the planet weigh a combined three hundred and thirty two billion kilos or three hundred sixty six million tons and ten thousand trillion aunts weighing an average of four milligrams. Each we get only forty billion kilos or forty four million tonnes or about nine pounds of human for every pound of ants even if we allow for the smaller human population in one thousand nine hundred eighty four and the smaller humans. It's still back of napkin. Math at best one expert does say that the numbers might have inaccurate at one time. Probably about two hundred and fifty years ago. We must also remember that. Humans are getting fatter all the time. We're not just increasing in population we're increasing in fatness. So i think we've left the ants behind another way to try to wrap your head around. How many aunts there are is to look at the biomass of them. One of my favourite weird history and animated rant youtube channels sam annella compared the biomass of several animals and visualized them as spheres literal animal planet's for example. If all the blue whales in the world could be mushed together like plato. They'd make a spheroid about one hundred and forty meters or four hundred and fifty feet across blue. Whales are huge but there aren't very many of them. In contrast the chicken planet is more than twice that size three hundred and thirty meters or eleven hundred feet across their small. But we've read a lot of them. The math was tricky enough. What with trying to come up with a density for each animal. But sam found order of

Should You Create a Photography Budget?

"After the first week of shooting with the Nikon Z. Five near camera with twenty four to fifty millimeter compact Zoom Lens and compacted is for a full frame. I started asking myself where can I reasonably come up with the seventeen hundred dollars to buy this kit? And you may recall that I talked about this camera a few weeks ago on the podcast and I really liked it i. did I was so impressed with the images that does making from the eastern Sierra and Lake Tahoe with this camera than I thought man, this would be good to have access to all the time. All the time. You know it's not too heavy. The compact twenty, four to fifty millimeter lens was performing really beyond my expectations. And I already have lots of Nikon glass that I could use with an adapter. I don't have the Z. Mount Glass. I would just have the twenty four fifty if I bought the kit. But I have all sorts of F mount stuff I have g lenses and I could get their adapter in use all of that with this camera. So I was very very tempted. Full frame cameras that had shot with in a long time that not only did I like the camera itself not only I enjoy shooting with it. I loved the images and I felt like it was a manageable camera to have with me when I'm hiking and doing things outdoors. So now, we fast forward three weeks later. And I'm boxing up the Nikon's e five in attaching the shipping label to return it to be an H. Photo who had let me use it for a month of for review purposes. So by this point I was okay sending it back. I didn't want to but it was the right decision. So I went from you know that first week just really being infatuated with it wanting to hang onto it. I still want to hang onto it but over the course of the next three weeks, I got to the point to where I can send it back. You know pretty much like I was supposed to. So, how did I get from Point A to point B right? Now I can look you straight in the Mike in say I'm okay. Sending it back. I really have. Here's how. Because, that seventeen hundred dollars plus probably another four hundred dollars for accessories and especially, I was GonNa need you know the adapter? So I could use my f Mount Lenses. That was not in my twenty twenty photography budget. In fact, you know we're only in October and I have less than seven hundred dollars left to spend. So back to New York the Z five goes now that wasn't the only factor in I'll. I'll explain a little bit more about that, but it was definitely a factor. You know I have done my budget ahead of time I do it about this time of year for the next year. I have made some very good purchases that I'm in love with. And seven hundred dollars left and Z five just doesn't fit in that tiny little window of seven hundred dollars doesn't even come close. So the funny thing is even though. On one level I hate them I'm a big Fan of budgets right? You know. I guess it is the ultimate love hate relationship. You Know I. Have An overall budget for the business you know and I run that monthly and that's for the. Business and then I have a breakout budget specially forget and that's more what I'm talking about today. And then I create budgets for trips as well. Well, at least I did until about six months ago. And I haven't created any of those lately at all I wonder why wonder why? I do the photography budget because it protects me from me I know how easily a new camera or a new land can turn my head I. Know that about me I do. So easily in fact, that I usually have to create a pros and cons list in addition to a budget to reach a sound decision I'll give you some examples earlier this year. I wanted to by the OEM D one mark three, right I had had it on loan I loved shooting with it. You know I went to Costa Rica with it. I had it with me in Costa Rica along with some lenses. and. I was truly impressed with this camera and I'm already shooting Olympus. It was eighteen hundred dollars then when I when I first resisted and now even worse for me, you can get one for fourteen hundred dollars. You can get the M one mark three for fourteen hundred dollars. That is a good value. I'm telling you right now. But you know that's still twice as much as my remaining senator dollars in my budget to tell you the truth. This is where the pros and cons comes in as well. I really can't justify it because my mark to is still an amazing camera that thing has been producing great images for such a long continues to do so.

Nikon Z5 Review

"So, one of the things that attracted me to the Nikon see five was the nick or twenty four to fifty millimeter f four to six point three Zoom Lens that you can get bundled with the camera. Now, both together are one, thousand, six, hundred, ninety, six dollars. So that's not exactly pocket change, but it is less than some of the other full featured full frame cameras on the market. What I really liked about this compact twenty, four to fifty millimeter zoom is that for a full frame camera, it really is compact. In fact, it has this mechanism that reminds me of a Pentax Lens that I have that we new twist it all the way it actually pulls all the way into the body. The knows all the way into the body, and then when you want to use it, you have to twist at the other. To release the lands and then it does at zooming thing from there. So the Nice thing about it is that when you're packing it or putting it in a case or something. It really is fairly compact for a full frame Lens Ns alight as well. So my thinking was that this tandem would be a good full frame option for hiking and travel. So I decided to put the theory to the test with eight mile hike to crystal cove in South Lake Tahoe. Now, before I, tell you how that went let's take a closer look at the specs for this camera. And again, we're talking about the Nikon is e five murless camera. Okay. Here we go. The first one is a four point three megapixel seamus sensor with x speed six processor. So. That gives you ISO sensitivity. The way up to fifty one, thousand, two, hundred. Now they say in their marketing materials quick shooting at four point, five frames per second. Most of us would not think as four point, five frames per second as fast bursts. Okay. Not Anymore not after shooting with some of the cameras that we do. So there is the first area where you go. Okay this is not top of the line, but it's probably fine for travel for landscape. You know for hiking for things like that right it's a really nice censor by the way I love the image quality that it produces. Now, the auto focus system has two hundred, seventy, three selective points. In. As a hybrid system that uses both face detection and contrast detection methods and I would say that the autofocus is quite decent every now and then I was surprised when it took it a second to figure something out that didn't seem that hard to me but overall pointed I pressed I captured and it went very well my hit rate was quite high. I was only using however the twenty four to fifty millimeter Lens. In fact, I'll talk a bit more about that in just a few minutes. Now, it has a nice three point two, inch, one, million LCD screen that you know goes up and down right it doesn't swing out it's not fully articulated, but it has the up and down articulation which I actually prefer for most things unless I'm going to be using the camera for video for photography I like the up and down tilt a lot better the screen. Is, quite. Nice, it also is a touchscreen and you can operate the camera from the screen itself if you wish, and then has a three point, six, nine, million dollars, electric viewfinder, and it is a quite good I, like the view, the electronic, find her a lot. It's interesting how often though when I'm out nature I, find myself shooting via the LCD screen as opposed to the electronic viewfinder. Just because I, like those different angles I really do however when I'm doing electron viewfinder photography and I'm looking through that. From. The Nikon I like it. I like what I see I like the readouts on the inside. It's really easy on the eyes and quite pleasurable. Now one thing that we do get even though this is not top of the line. Camera in the Nikon lineup is we get dual SD memory card slots in their st memory card sauce which. Some of us, prefer to the the newer standards and they both both slots support you H S too. So they are high speed and there's two of 'em there and I would say that as one of the really nice features of this camera.

"Memory and one of those easel screen, so you can move it anywhere you need so. Yeah. Gaming notebooks this year. I am. So glad that I waited because there's there's a great crop. I mean, if you want razor, if you want Dell no matter, what style you get you're gonna get something. That's so much higher performing than even just four months ago. Is that headset for gaming that you've got this is the this is the plan Tron? This is our five hundred rig pro it's it's only ninety bucks it's supposed to be more or less bare bones, but it really is designed for the game. Or you've got this all of them banned. It's super lightweight. It's actually very comfortable. You've got this dual material. Cup. This is a removable Mike, but also auto mutes when you do this. And and noise cancels because no one, you know, if you're gaming, you don't want your curses to be muted out by echo. And you know, it's I I love this. Actually, I know that both of us we really like the the plan trunks, the backbeat or the black Pete pro nothing is incredible. This is sort of taking the design cues from that black beat and turning it into a gaming rig. Not bad. Yeah. Again, about ninety bucks is pretty good sound is good. I mean, it really is designed for gamers, so it's fifty millimeter drivers, you know. It's it's comfortable. It's that's what really had to focus on not that. It has one hundred percent audio file equality, but that it's comfortable enough for you to do a gaming session. Those vailable now available now every everything on this table is available now by the way. So you can you. I brought nothing home. Actually, I did bring a few things on that. You can't get. But I I didn't bring them into the studio, by the way, this is. Cool. Is it a button it's a button? Okay. But it's super cool button. Okay. So it's just an LED light we've seen over the loom cube. But a lot of those LED lights the wrong color temperature for video because they're about seventy four hundred Kelvin this is fifty seven hundred Kevin. So it's really close to daylight. And it just gives you this nice softness notice how there's like, no harsh shadows harsh edges. You don't get.

"So you know the quote, unquote, nifty fifty is like like one hundred hundred dollars you get into and it's way better lens optically because fifty millimeter fixed lens. Anyway, there's also a like three or four hundred dollar fifty millimeter lens, which is just made out. It's less plastic. It's it's sturdier, it's it's better, but it's not that every and then there's the l. series one which I bought because I'm an idiot because it goes all the way down to f one point two. So it's, you know, even even better in low light and it weighs likes six times more. It is a very, very heavy piece of glass you, you know, it's a pro level fifty millimeter lens, but you pay a price that that a typical consumer wooden and photographer of my abilities. I'm not really capturing better images with that lens than I would be with the four hundred dollar fifty millimeter lens. That's a lot lighter. I was just an idiot. Yeah, and we have. We have that one point two l. as well tip bought it because you bought it. Thanks a lot. Got it because Dr wave, we can all blame, wait, wait into line. But yeah, and we also before that we had the one point, four hundred dollar one and it was totally fine. And in fact, in some ways, the pro one was worse in some like because it not only is it bigger, heavier, and like four times the price. But it also I think focused a little bit more slowly like it was because there was so much more glass to move like everything about it, like it was. It was worse in some pretty key ways, but the reason why pros would want that is because it was optically noticeably better. It will. It could go down to one point two, if you actually needed that. Almost nobody does. I, it was probably at least lightly whether sealed which the thing that you know, the consumer lenses don't hardly ever are, and most people don't need that. But if you're like, you know, shooting a sports game, you wouldn't be using a familiar prime, but you were like, you know, a lot of pro context need, you know whether ceiling more rugged, abilities, different warranties, stuff like that. The big one on whether ceiling for for pros or pros who go out in the field where dart sand and things like that and the weather sealing. Keep stuff like that out when you cannot you're on sinement from National Geographic and you're in the middle of a desert and Africa you, you can't get your lens fixed until you're gone and it's, you know, you can't just like, oh zip over to the camera shop and get a replacement. You need, you need that reliability. Reason examples. A wonderful reason why this MAC book pro keyboard sue problem. I shouldn't doubt shouldn't speak so poorly of that fifty millimeter lines because I should. I what I should do is sell it. And here I am telling the people who are most likely to buy the listener. So my show that I kind of think is waste of money because the other reason I regret it in hindsight is that the sensitivity of the isos sensitivity of sent digital sensors got head continues to get so much better so much faster that even if in just like eighteen months after I bought that lens like five or six years ago, I could get better low light pictures with the the lighter weight camera just by getting a new camera. Yeah, I I haven't shot anything below f, two point eight in years. Well, even that usually I'm usually up around like four or five point six because I'm much more likely to miss the focus slightly than I am to to need that the, you know, like the higher speeds..
