The florida state players decide to decided to slather arms in facile play. Because they can't tackle him the only thing they could tackle was the towel on him on that wide receiver. "fifteen yards" Discussed on The Tony Kornheiser Show

"Well i if you're familiar with a certain golfer named tiger woods this amador took him to the thirty. Six hole in the us am finals in one thousand. Nine hundred five a believe it was up in newport rhode island. Yeah so yeah so had tiger. Not one that maybe. The arc of tigers career is different though what tigers able to say is. I won three juniors. And i won three. M's in nobody ever beat me. I'm six and on like michael jordan finals. Nobody ever beat me buddy. Marucci came closest. So this is a name that michael knows and now michael you find out. We're playing with him. And your response immediately go to the driving range because otherwise the The the the sort of has taken a different turn. Originally we were planning to play with the socialite and he was not going to make up for that day. And you don't know what type of field this is gonna be. Is it going to be sort of hidden. Giggling card it going to be a match within the four-ball and i'm sure it was different for every group out there for media because this is a you know once a year once in a decade and for me personally i went to penn. He is a philly legend and for us every time that we've taken a big father son trip every time my pen. Golf team was hosted for a special day. You sort of look out the corner your eye. I need see mr marucci having lunch at clubs or you know greenish seminal and the twilight and you see him at the far corner of the range with his disciples as he's working on on controlling a shot into the wind. So were you nervous. Yes i was nervous but he was so pleasant to play with and played well and he was just so yes. I played totally fine. Considering i played for a very short course but he was very supportive of all of our games and was just happy to be in the of forego which is a reminder about golf. You can play cross ability as long as you're playing from appropriate tease for you and your moving he bangs it for a guy has a so long he hits it really long. What do you mean a guy. His age i mean he was. He's tigers ish age. No he was in his late sixties. Oh okay he's inside six and he'd just crushed taught tigers as we get to normally considered the second hole for us. It's the eleventh. It is a short par for risk reward. A little bit of a capable as you go round the bend and its drive alive sort of charted my decline as when i was younger man. I didn't even look at the yardage bombs straight onto the green and then. There's one time maybe i was playing a different t. I'm playing with alan. I think roasted drive and it comes up like fifteen yards short. alan goes. What are you doing. So i i have these conflicting feelings and i'm ready to slay with a three iron down the left center and he and mr mergers looks to me goes. No he's doing he was. Yeah you got got up and down from the bunker for birdie very. He was very supportive. It was. I was thrilled and i was so terrible. I had a tired swing. And i'm a bad player anyway and these guys really hit it along way anyway so so we play here to have fun like i wonder i hold her someone that i think he had fun. I think because michael and he basically play even the whole way and so so he's there yes or were you a little bit better. It doesn't matter you're right. But i mean he's he's playing with somebody who he knows is a good player and that always makes players feel good. You know they're not. They're not like kneeling down waiting for so had you guys ever met. I'd never met him. But i knew her aware him. Oh my what about steve. I did stephen but okay. Oh no they're pals they're pals long-term pal okay so then so then gets time to leave. And i'm terribly worried about the traffic. Because it's like four thirty and i've got to go from baltimore to washington six ninety five ninety five ninety five other bad names and then my caddie will shriver whose dad used to run the daily grill downtown washington right and sent us food to the show. So we'll wilson good player himself a very good player wills michael's age they have similar contacts and they know everybody must have played against each other trying to you know to pinpoint exactly where we'd played through junior long island jewish geography. Yeah you guys go crazy so we so. By the way we've we fly through the course we play in three and a half hours. Well yeah because steve smartly said. I'm a plane in a. We were one a and he made sure nobody was even six holes in front of us marine flu. We've done in three and a half by the time we leave everybody still out on the corner. Okay they're still out and they're gonna come back and they're gonna have dinner you know we're we're out and we'll says to me have you. I've got an alternative route. Ask mike show up on shopper. No those six ninety five to seventy two twenty nine. Why didn't know these roads at all. Twenty nine my neck. Seventy you're going to frederick now you know and west and it was how great was it was great. We were home in an hour. We felt so lost as we were just relying on the photo. That of course dad sees the traffic that on seventy west. We are turning off of but he goes. Where are they going to light to light bumper to bumper. Then you get on you finally get on twenty nine. Dad just goes no. They can't do this. There's traffic lights and he keeps on trying to get back over to over to ninety five and the only bad moment was when michael said. I'm really. I really don't like when you drive. I don't think you're any good. And i said i thought i was really good drawing up very conservative dr regards to speed but you stay in the middle of the right lane and then you drive far too close to people. When you're when you're coming into like a scientist side you know late breaking late breaking then he blames. Tell you what. That's what i like coming out to the bron- household were where spike. And i are. Currently on their learner's permits do a couple of rounds with them. I think completely recalibrate. How good of a driver. Your father is so we had this one other incredible treat and this was a tweet from me at one point in the locker room area. Cal ripken sitting down and kaushik and says hi tony for me. I mean i stood it as locker a number of times in my life. I know there'd be any recognition and cal ripken is your on tv. Every day. i understand. I i never really think of that and we begin. David aldridge moment. For cal. ripken. We begin to chat. And we've talked about. He was concerned about naomi osaka because he was a guy who did the stuff every single day and we chatted about that a little bit here and there and at the end of the day i saw him again at the bar and he wanted to talk more because something i had said to him about naomi osaka stirred something in him and he wanted to talk about that and we began to talk about a bunch of things including albert bell. and what. actually what a great teammate. Albert bell was even though the press. He was terrible with the press. What a great teammate. He was and i probably chatted with him for fifteen or twenty minutes and at the back of my head is of course. Talking to cal. ripken. Cal ripken junior. He he.

"Which would have been a miracle. Because he didn't have a whole lot energy at that point but he just about jumped. I know he jumped to the front of his chair and he was just kind of at the edge of its share watching sue wren it in and The curb stomping on cody hawkins. Was you know it was horrible. Stiff arm it would just mean vicious and then he damanour stepped on him as he ran past him when he fell down and then i thought he was going to catch fifteen yards for literally spiking the ball into the end wall behind the end zone. I swore they're going to throw fifteen yards for excessive celebration and Yes so those are kind of my memories was. It's all swirled together with one of the most exciting finishes to any game that we've ever seen along with the knowledge now that that was the last time we gonna watch a game with grandpa and that's difficult. It's still difficult. Father's day comes and goes and i truly miss chile. Miss him at these times. But hey i'm so grateful for those times as well and Yeah this was. "fifteen yards" Discussed on Behind the Steel Curtain

"Suffered a concussion. I was not a mark malone fan. I really wasn't tony. He had an arrogance about them. The steelers really lacked from a true number. One quarterback in the nineteen eighty. Something we're going to talk about a whole lot later in the show. But i was really rooting for david. Woodley and those guys went back and forth here. Man they did. He had a quarterback position is inflexible. All throughout the eighty-five campaign. And that's the problem. And you don't have stability at that position. It could really affect the franchise and as we were seeing up to this point in the season. So the steelers also came out with an all. Baylor backfield of walter abercrombie and frank pollard. And they combined for a first down on the initial three plays on the ground but on a third and seven near midfield the chiefs. Blitzed up the middle with greg hill and mark robinson who just subbed in as defensive backs and the league leader with five interceptions. A man named deron cherry number twenty. This guy was fantastic and pro. I have him in my sticker books. So i knew who this guy was. He stepped in front of john. Stallworth and what's he do tony. He picks it often takes it all the way. Back for a touchdown forty seven yards and just like that. The home team is up seven and talk about a stunner in the beginning. You're right to run cherry. He was one of the premier quarterbacks of his day so yeah he was no stranger to big place and they lost a guy named gary barbaro to the usfl. Gary barbara was a great defensive. Back forum and durant cherry comes in today. No problem guys. I've got this in the stands in a private booth. There were some guys celebrating guys at war. Royal blue hats. Light blue jerseys. The kansas city royals bret saberhagen. George brett guys like that. We're celebrating as the chiefs. Took a seven. Nothing lead on the steelers. It was the third interception return for a score against the steelers in one thousand nine hundred eighty five at that point. I said this was game number ten. So that's not too good after a todd. Spencer returned to the thirty yard. Line outcomes the steelers once again and they return to the ground but to not much avail on third down in a passing situation woodley through an absolute beautiful strike over the middle to the league leading receiver. And that was the john stallworth for thirty three yard gain in front of another very good chief. Defender albert lewis after completion for fifteen yards. Stallworth would li had the black and gold at the kansas city. Seventeen after running. Play the duo said. Hey guys we're not done woodley stallworth. Let's do it again and they absolutely did. It was another fifteen yarder to number eighty two to tie the score at seven but there was a nervous moment. John stallworth was lying on the field on the back of the endzone. Tony what happened. You said it was a beautiful play on both ends. A great pass by woodley and a great catch by star throughout stretched out and caught it and landed on his knee in the back of the end the problem was while ending on his knees sprained his knee and anxious moments to follow. The bluebirds came out as bill. Kenny continue to struggle and the chiefs punted again with good field position. The visitors came out with john. Stallworth injured knee and all coming out to play. And he would not take the rest of the day off. You'll find out what he did later on so he seemed to be okay but there was a problem. Another guy who had a injured knee all season long missed the first five games of the year. He was another former first round draft. Pick from nineteen seventy six. It was benny cunningham and he hobbled off the field and he was gone for the rest of the day. That's leaving the team with only one tighter now in preston gothard a guy who was not known much as a receiver so tony they were losing guys at the tight end position but they had some great receivers. They would pay dividends later on in this game. So here comes the steelers trying to get back on the board again. Despite a seventeen yard pickup i- abercrombie and a juggling first down by number twenty four rich ehrenberg unsung hero of the teams of that day. The drive stalled here. Comes the struggling. Gary anderson tony. He wasn't doing so well in one thousand nine hundred five at this point he was not up to this point and again gaming he's doing his best roy guerrilla impression. He came into the game. Twelve or twenty which is so unlike premier kickers of his day when most accurate of all time in this era but he did hit from thirty five yards out so the steelers took a lead ten to seven with one thirteen left in the first period. Another three and out for the chiefs ended the first quarter as did one for the steelers to bring out harry. Newsome kick away from the forty two yard line back to field. It was the chiefs garcia lane. He fielded the ball to nine and got popped by a sea of white jerseys and coughed up. The pill the steelers recovered and were set up at the kansas city. Fourteen yard line. What happened here. Tony play by special teams and they really set up the offense in prime field position at the fourteen yard line. it was. It was a big break after after bouncing back from a seven nothing deficit to take a ten seven lead. They have a really great chance of take neutral this game at this point but they could not really advance the ball into the end zone. Though here comes gerry. Anderson once again. It's a thirty one yard or to increase the black and gold lead to thirteen to seven. Here's the problem. The home teams like man. We've got the world series champs here. We've got a lot a pride we're not going to go away on third and five from the forty five yard line bill. Kenny found jeff smith who was being covered and covered well by mike merriweather but found a way to beat them and the nebraska rookie pin pinball into the end zone for a forty five yard touchdown for his first. Nfl score both teams then traded the three and outs than the chiefs. Kicking away to louis. Lips couldn't contain the second year. Man as he did this. I forgot all about this. Hummer turning went seventy one yard up the left side and just like that. It's twenty to fourteen the good guys. I couldn't believe it was. This was such a great return by him. And i thought i had all louis lips punt returns memorized but this one slipped my memory but it was a thing of beauty and he was one of the best all around weapons for his day. He was really a special player. He got a critical block from the second year. Man from notre dame. Chris brown on that play and he was off and running. I'm gonna dare and say this. I'm really thinking. The lewis lips was the best punt returner in pittsburgh steelers history that includes antonio brown. You get an argument for me. He's he's probably my favorite steeler of all time so in this little period of his career..

"He didn't he was on pace for a hundred and fifty two targets. He played eight. I had he played eight years with them. Because i have them but i don't think they played near near the only played payday games and killing and miss time together. So so i had. I've given this got four weeks. Four through seven it was four games. Audrey played one of the games. I think it was like a week. Eight where debo left almost immediately so we weeks four through seven or the games that we're looking at here and kittle had forty targets twenty one and depot had twenty two. I cannot really broken out at that point. The last game of that stretch. He had his game one hundred and fifteen yards at new england. They blew out new england and basically from that point on he was terrific but depot was out. And then kittle was out. But i think there's at least the possibility that he could have sustained that and he hadn't broken out. Yeah because it does take a while. But that's just speculation on my part about. We said cd lamb started to do that early. He did yeah and imagine if he had had the natural rookie progression later in the cv lamb was more efficient on a per target basis. On an offense that i have to imagine wasn't if it wasn't less efficient i don't think it was more efficient on a per target basis overall. I'm i don't know. I guess i'm the outlier here. I'm not convinced brandon. I use that much better than deebo samuel. I think it was a really really good player. Obviously they have very different roles. And i think they can coexist together. Alongside george kittle but i think ultimately what it comes down to for me being lower on i you then. Then he said the very least. Is i think him. And samuel are going to have a pretty pretty comparable target share. I have them both for right around. One hundred and fifteen targets i would guess. He has a bigger gap hundred and fifteen of cd lambs shatter that not depot versus euch. Oh sorry. I have cd. Lan eleven spots higher with twenty more targets. I would not have steals low. I would think.

"Rich eisen show on the air buster. Only of espn is gonna join us this hour to talk about how When the nfl makes rule change and they always talk about an it's not a rule change which just emphasizing the world. We have a new rule emphasis k. We're telling the officials to emphasize calling something that's already on the books apparently Whenever if that's ever done in the middle of the season teams go nuts. Remember chris couple years ago There were there. Were three awful. Hits on a weekend and The kid from rutgers whose name escapes me right now. He got paralyzed. You've got carted off the field. Aircon right look right. He got he got carted off and then there were three hits in the nfl on the same sunday. And then all of a sudden they changed the rule. Emphasis about they're gonna call helmet-to-helmet a lot more and teams went crazy. Baseball apparently is going to start. Checking pitchers multiple times a game for substances onto baseball. Good and i don't know how the hell that's gonna work so we're gonna get buster only on this program but now we turn a man who knows all about the nfl because he won't decide called pro football talkie created. He runs it. He does not one but two shows for nbc sports on peacock he starts the day with pf t live and ends it with pf t pm when that show is in season. He's name is mike florio and he's back here on. The rich eisen show is rich. Doing great you were speaking of october. Seventeen twenty ten. Three bang bang hits about five minutes of real time. Dante robinson. Hit to sean jackson brandon. Meriweather hit todd. Heap and james harrison hit muhammed massa. And that changed everything. When it comes to the league's enforcement of hits the helmet neck area of defenseless receivers. Hello how are you guys example. You would know that. An and the only thing i would take issue with is brandon. Meriweather went top rope on todd heap. That was insane out of all. I remember marshall. Faulk went on game day morning the week after those hits took place. And saying that sean. Jackson should've known to sit down in the coverage. If he would knew what the coverage was he actually studied to know what coverages look like. He would have sat down and dante robinson wouldn't have blown him up that he he pinned that one onto sean jackson which made us all look at marshal gordy talking about but The league just doesn't you know. Obviously it was just gonna stop all of that in. Its attracts yet. That's all spain's now and it's on the defensive back to play with the right technique and if you hit that helmet neck area with your helmet or any other part of your body of forcible blow to the head or neck area of defensive player. It's an automatic fifteen yards and involuntarily contribution to the human fund and suspensions overtime mike florio pro. Football talk always great for seinfeld reference. Right here on the rich. Eisen show Julio jones trade. What's what's the headline to come out of it do you. Arthur blank blank. Try saying that ten times fast. Right what it came down to arthur blank wanted a first round pick for julio jones for two reasons one they got a second round pick from hamas new during the two thousand nineteen season and then they gave up a second round. Pick to get hayden. Hurst from the ravens. Now it was a two plus What was it two. Plus they got a two plus five for hayden hers plus a four so the the the the fingerprints were there for what ultimately happened with the two and a four from the titans for julio jones in six it had to be more than two plank wanted a one blanket held out for a one and i think when arthur blank realized where this is going from here training camp looming mandatory minicamp theory. Julio could have shown up what do you do with. Julio jones where he's got a fifteen point three million dollar injury guarantee and otherwise we'll guarantee on his salary if he shows up for mandatory. Minicamp what do you do with them. I think that blanche's decided now is the time to to get what i can and move on even if they come up with a way to hold onto julio jones maybe they would have gotten lucky and got in that. First rounder later in the year. I just think that that they were ready to move on. And there's a chance to titans are going to move on the titans move on. What do you have so it was time. It was smart and they got the best deal they could under a bad set of circumstances where it was well known within the organization player wanted out and so what comes with. Julio is the contract right and and what. What are those numbers. And how do you see. Julio handling his new digs in tennessee on that front alone. Xs and os assad full contract with none of it. Paid by the falcons. Win the titans straight of ryan tannehill a couple of years ago. The dolphins paid five million dollars of tanta hills. Compensation very different circumstance at at that time and at this time but the titans are going. Pay the full fifteen point. Three million guaranteed for skill injury and cap. There's a two million guarantee. Next year they pick up the whole contract. But here's the thing. Even though the jones contract which was renegotiated three years ago had a new money. Average of twenty two million plus right. Now it's three years thirty. Eight million in change works out to about twelve point seven million per year watch for julio jones to either want a new deal on the way in the door or go out this year have a great season and then turn around after twenty twenty one and say all right. It's time to take care of financially. But that's what whoever was trading for. Julio jones was going to end up buying. And i think that's one of the reasons. Why the falcons couldn't get that that first round pick your taking on fifteen point three million in salary obligation the year when the cap is down of twenty five million and you have a guy who's gonna want another major contract as soon as.

"Welcome back to the steelers retro show. I am brian athey davis. He is tony. Julius deaf man. I'm beating a dead horse. Aren't i anthony. Julius nephew tony julius. I'll take it ring to it now. I haven't really used that middle name most my life. Maybe it's gonna be my new thing. Maybe my signature. So i like it that said hey look down the street. You better watch out tony jones's coming exactly you don't mess with tony jolson especially on the internet. A lot of people don't realize tony. You're a lot nicer on the mike than you are on the keyboard exactly. I'm not even that. I mean it's all sports coni but you're doing your momma jokes solve sports. Really people take sports you seriously. I'm a lot nicer on the mike. Maybe i'll work on that in perfect my snarky persona on the mike. We'll see we'll see. I'm still early. You know what i think. Your articles are the absolute best in. That's one of the reasons that attracted me to wanting to do a show with you so you don't change tony and just like mc hammer would say. I'm gonna adapt his lyrics. He's dope on the keyboard and he's magic on the mic. Wow you are the man. I'm going to hire you as my agent. Pr guy fire become big. I'm telling you. I i'm telling you you're my posse. You're going to be my own man. I want to be like an entourage. I wanna be like e for you. Tony i'd want to be at least you're conciliator and if you become big thinking remember me. That's all that's him. I've got a lottery. Lists tony and if i ever win the lottery gonna play the lottery. But you're firmly on the lottery lists because you're my buddy. If i win the lottery. I gotta have fun and i'm to take people with me right you. I do people that bring you down at the end. You'll be on one of those Vice shows says we talked about hammer before hammer breath so many people from the neighborhood into a stage shows of the into his entourage and a guy would be standing there on the stage with his arms folded. And they're like what are you doing there like hammer tomio. Full my arms and stand here. And that's what i'm doing now. Hammer went broke from doing all that all those people were like. Screw you hammer. i'm out here. They use the poor guy like crazy. They weren't legitimate. Quit then right. Oh no yeah. They quit all right. This show is going off the rails in a fun fun way. Let's go back to the steelers. As they came out of the locker room with a first down ten to seven at this point to start the third quarter they started out at the twenty six and started moving the ball on the ground so the second year man rashard mendenhall and then nine while mike wallace tore off a run of six with fifteen yards on after a facemask penalty with a ball to minnesota something. You're in line tony. Don't have it right here okay. Soda territory. Ben converted a third and one at the eight with a personal foul on. Benny sapp tacked on not. I don't remember benny sapp was. He warns little brothers something. He's the acting like that on. Its play because they weren't headed out for the steelers thinking on his play when he committed that personal father was kind of a stupid from the eight. The drive stalled after sack in an incompletion to ward and homes lot jeff read old skippy your boy skippy tony. He salvaged the points by connecting on a twenty seven yard field goal. The steelers lead thirteen to seven with eleven. Oh nine remaining in the third tony. This is twice now that they should have been in for touchdowns and they stalled. They have settled for jeff. Reed points what are you making of this. Could they just not convert. Can they not finish. Certainly seemed like that early on and steelers defense was legendary back in those days. But you gotta take advantage of these reds and opportunities and that's you said this twice now that they had to settle for three seven alternately often comes back to bite you in the nfl indeed does nearly seven minutes later. The vikings road farms arm down the field with completions to rice harvest. Louis johnson and new folks who he facing a fourth and one at the steelers thirty five brad shoulders. His team gambled and won for the time. Being the hall of fame quarterback through over the middle to sydney rice for a gain of thirty four palmolive caught him. From behind the save the touchdown thank goodness for troy. Forty three or would have been right into the end zone where they're looking now at a first and goal at the one yard line but the steelers had a tough defense and they needed to step up on first down. Peterson was stuffed up the middle by kieran fox and potsy james farrior farms. Second down past rice was too high. On third and goal. Brent through to jim klein sasser and it was incomplete after being well covered by farrier instead of being victims of a goal. Line stand ryan. Longwell came on for an eighteen yard field goal. The score was now thirteen to ten steelers. The steelers were on the move again. After twenty two yards onto carries by mendenhall as the fourth quarter arrived on third and five from the steelers forty six san antonio took a short pass from big ben and pinball d- for forty five yards all the way down to the vikings nine. That was a thing of beauty. Wasn't tony it certainly was. I think people forget how granted counts in tuning homes. Really wasn't he was really a special talent and it's a shame things didn't work out for him as far as have going to have a legendary career but he was really special for them during this era and showed on this play to follow mendenhall..

"The wind on the field is different than the wind. In the sky in the wind in the sky is different than the wind on the uprights. So those little things you see the flags. I mean they matter for sure because you're going to find out what's going to happen at the very end but man. They could tell very different story than what's going on. Like just ten yards in front of that fifteen yards in front of that and if if a stadium is whenever they reflect each other perfectly concave no parallel no parallel running next to each other. Perpendicular is not whenever something mir's itself though but when it's called something that is called something when you're it's like a drum that's their docs is a satire. But a sentence. I know the word. Okay what is it. It is something anyways when a when a stadium is perfectly matched on both sides slanting now that that is something something is that is. Is that what it is fake. So so whenever stadium is symmetrical case when it's the same on this side as it is on this ad. What's happening on the bottom. It's going to happen the opposite on top. Okay so it's and crossfield on the bottom at the top it's blowing the other direction right. So that's like a quick little but if it has a non symmetrical stadium as symmetrical. Obviously right for those. That don't understand a can be substitute with non in the latin form so the as symmetrical stadium whenever there's like an open end that completely changes everything daniel. It's a guessing game for instance soil stadium. You know story just came out from andrew. Brandt adam voluntarily was going to be a packer in then he signed with the quotes because the quotes had a dome right and everybody calls us a dome team dumb team in putting kicking game it is a little bit of a slider. Whatever still got a bomb balls though but it's still a little bit of a slight the rca dome which is what vinnie think. Signed up for whenever he became a coat that thing was like a hockey arena a nice tied in their dead air. Now with that being said you don't have any wendy back either at anytime which never calculated into anything. There was some stadiums you get to. It's like okay for at least two quarters here. I'm gonna hit a kick off into the stands. Now there's other two quarters are going to be tough. I am going to get a little bit of a boost. Everybody's a little bit negative in that thing. But whenever lucas stadium. Whenever you know jim irsay just hits the button into window comes down and then he takes his rag ragtop off the top. That thing just comes as bowl in warmups. Punters and kickers will come over immediately We opened today. We're keeping it causes like we have no say in this and by the way they might do it. Four minutes before the game starts who have no idea and like odor punters. a back. younger guys are scared to ask. Because i think they don't think anybody who answer but like older guys will ask. And i'll definitely want to go this way but there's a chance that that thing's to be coming different ways and at halftime against the guy who had to play in there. He was like This is the most confusing of all time. And i'm like yeah because we have these big. You know there's Afc finalist banners hanging at the top. Those things are just blowing where the window is and then on the ground. You're feeling it just like hitting you in the face somewhere and it's like you just have to play a guessing game. That's what happened with that. Lamar jackson past okay. He's seen south west wind six miles an hour or whatever that's on the ground pal. How about where he's throwing. Sammy walk at six six foot. Four feet knee in the air there pal absolutely but if this is the ball they're posting i mean what are his other throws looking like. Hey the internet did say that. That must be the first play of the otas by the way. That's the first play one hundred other opportunities that they could've put up there. This what they chose put up there. Lamar's all the way back. Sammy watkins as a weapon. Hollywood brown but it does feel like the ravens social media team. Set lamar up for a little bit of negative conversation around his throat. That's i just assumed it was some do for some social media to tell me they didn't have rep look better than that away. Great great comment there. And let's talk about doofus. Okay oh yeah we should. Let's talk about five which you're saying that social media guide. Do we do not say this. I cannot stress this enough. Pat mcafee did not say what we are about to say conor. Nope i did not say what we're about to say. Todd i did not say what we're about to say zita. I did not say it. Nick did not say whereabouts Jay said i didn't say it. We hired the biggest do first of all time to be our head. Coach put it in quotes. Who said it that. He's next motorcity dan. Campbell had an electrifying press conference this morning where he showed up wearing a.

"As likes to do and that went away last year largely because of what defenses were doing and also protection and the skill players. So i think it's a little bit more. It's not as simple as saying be more accurate throwing outside. I do think it's not impossible to improve that. But i also think just general you know accuracy over the middle of field and willingness to throw. The ball is going to help him. Regardless of whether improves. In that way i would say the exact which is at the end. There's i agree with just that willingness to maybe make i get it. Your legs are incredible. I mean just a generational like ability as him be able to create. But it's like you he. It's a caner won't thing like he can't do those throats like you said he can't throw outside. He kept thrown over. The middle is just that sometimes he just chooses not to skirt undiscussed. I this a fifty fifty. I complete fifteen yards. I'm just going to scramble for nine and and there will be good. I saw i completely agree with that. So funny last year is like he can the lamar kinda like. Oh he had a rough year and he was. Qbr stover seventy office Create it still like hilarious. How just the narrative even my head like it's just how it goes but i think just some of those concerts just take the efficient gains of just hunting exposes with his legs You don't you sent just being good enough at that. It's like in basketball. Where they have the three point shooters. They're like okay. You don't have to be at forty percent but whatever the number is thirty four percent just that for him is just. I be efficient enough to make him pay when you don't have to win that way. Kind of like what you're seeing with borough where he has to be perfect mentally in terms of his short intermediate accuracy to compensate for some of the end of the physical stuff with lamar. He doesn't have to be because his y'all he's tools our show outrageous with him easily..

"You know who's going to be a great match and quarterback this year dustin chrome and say he's very good he. He had remember that game. That i think can stay for who they played. There was only six. Mack games a share. Only four tuesdays. I think dustin crumbs team put up like seventy six on some random night and the last guy underrated which i just. I almost put this guy on air. Because he got injured last year he only played four even played me snaps at all but i can't believe he's still there. You realize max. Borghese still at washington state. Have i brought him up to episodes ago. Max bogey rushed for fourteen yards. Two years ago. Didn't play last year and he's still washington state's running back max. Bourgie i feel like as exists has existed in three different types of mine. Max is somebody that like had ten carries for ninety five yards last year. But max board is somebody that would have been on these last years. Like all american all and he didn't play and people have forgotten about him. You know he's there. Who do you think's gonna start at quarterback for lsu. I think it'll be the mississippi miles brennan. Do you think it'll be brad johnson skit. No i think it's i think miles brandon. We got on him a little bit too much at the beginning season then. He got injured but he was kind of. Turn it around a little bit. I mean he put up forty five against missouri. Lsu fans will not admit it but they wanted to blame the quarterback a they. They lost a mistake. Forty four thirty four. They scored forty five against missouri. Like they were scoring points. Lsu's defense was historically garbage last year. Remember when derek stanley was like the second coming of jesus. I don't know maybe it was just a weird season for him but he he missed a couple of games again and then he just was kind of average. But i'm sure he's still going to be high staffer. You guys rogers. He'll start at first okay. I think you'll probably get beat eventually. But but yeah so god. I'm just these magazines man. I love them so much underrated over the last twenty years. I'm gonna throw some names at you. And i want you to tell me if you think they were underrated. Now just you tower you all jordan mathews vanderbilt jordan. Happy is one of the all-time receivers in the i think. All time receptions leader in the the top to vanderbilt is earl bennett and jordan mathews. That's just crazy. He was incredible vanderbilt. Nobody ever talked about it. Because i think mike evans unrated am because it was johnny johnny johnny but mike evans best player on the team. Johnny was throwing up some balls during his time. That only would have been caught by mike evans. And maybe who. Jones or calvin johnson to two players at the same time in texas colleges that that almost won national titles. We don't talk about anymore but looking back it is crazy. How underrated bryce petty at baylor and trevan boykin at or they were legitimate. Were five six in the playoff. Tcu has arrived to this day. I know ohio state won national title. Tcu as gripe to this day it should have been in the almost forty two three in the ballgame driven boykin and bryce petty just in the middle of that decade dominant quarterbacks. And we don't talk about an all anymore. bryce yeah. Bryce petty ended up going to the jets and was not very good. So i kinda messes with my memory a little bit but those baylor. Tcu probably what was that year two thousand fourteen when they didn't get in. Yeah it was a shame. Neither of them got in. And then how about andre williams for underrated name boston college. This guy ran for twenty two hundred yards one year. He and then right after him came austin dillon's which kind like made us forget about hundred but he was someone that whenever he got the ball just looked like he was going to get not touchdown but fifteen yards kevin cobb university of houston case. Keenum come along and set a whole bunch of records. Houston after but kevin cop up ungodly numbers at houston. He did two thousand one hundred two thousand three. He was incredible and then he came in great rolls back up for the eagles. Here and there taj boyd. Clemson another jets quarterback. Because does shawn watson happened because trevor lawrence happened. We forget that the guy that started this whole quarterback ronan clemson and got him close to the national title. Level was ties boyd close. And he had the andrea hopkins sammy watkins head and martinez so he had he had all those players and but they had a great offense. I mean put numbers ties. Boy was fantastic. But we don't we talk about and quarterbacks you mentioned him ever and the last guy i think. This is the most underrated player of the last twenty years. And you as a non power. Five guys are just going to. Are you going to like this rookie team. Kato had marshall. You realize one hundred thirty one touchdowns which would when he left was four. All time he was there he realized he had the tenth most yards all time when he left college routine. Kato put up monster numbers. And nobody i. If i say we're keen kato to two standard non like super passionate football fans nominee people are gonna say. Oh yeah the guy from marshall. Another guy underrated toby gerhart very underrated stanford stanford has the most ever most ever second place finishes in heisman and five of them have happened the last fifteen years andrew twice twice dare heart-to-heart did price love. Yeah christian mccaffrey. Yeah have been second in the heisman so so so much and you think white stand for running backs you think christian mccaffrey. You don't think toby gerhart I'm just looking at some ties. Boyd's up there is dexter emma cluster. Doesn't get brought up. I know that's fine. We're not gonna bring up. Oh who was the backup running back on usc behind lingala lyndale white. Yeah i was running back. Reggie bush or better high highlight machine. But then they'll have more rushing yards their their sophomore seasons than reggie bush. Anyway the five best. Then we'll get to the tweet. The five best college football days of the summer. Are you ready. Yes number five. This might just be a day. I've always said this. But i don't think anybody else does it. It's called youtube day the day. I don't really have anything to do. i'm not busy. I'll just sit on the couch. Or i'll sit in my office at work and i will just fire up youtube videos off. Fire up dak prescott fire. Vince young highlights youtube day. Where i get myself ready for the season just watching every single college. Football highlight tape on youtube. Am i the only one that does that. Yeah no no those. It's not you can't be because those high videos millions and the moment where they're initially posted. No no the greatest things. You'll you'll sometimes look up a game from two thousand eleven. We'll have three hundred fifty nine three hundred.

trevor lawrence earl bennett calvin johnson Bryce petty shawn watson bryce petty ronan clemson toby gerhart jordan mathews last year Jones fourteen yards andrew twenty two hundred yards forty five derek stanley fifteen yards trevan boykin youtube two thousand

"She's going to make it really tough for me to watch football now. They approved a one year experiment. And i love the one year experiments in an attempt to make it easier to recover. Onside kicks which i in a like. This makes the onside kick more of a possibility and twenty twenty one. The receiving team on kickoffs. We'll be limited to nine players within twenty five yards of the ball of course last season and it fell routines only recovered three of sixty-seven onside kicks the lowest total in recovery rate. Since at least two has won the eagle's actually proposed that teams be given an option to gain remember this to gain fifteen yards on one offensive play from their own twenty five yard line to retain possession after score. Remember that set of kicking it off. They proposed that. Hey instead of we get the option we can either kick it off or we can get the ball we had a chance to for. It's fourth and fifteen on our own. Twenty-five we can take that option go and if we get it we get it if we don't it's their ball wherever the balls down at that point if it's within the if it's underneath the first down line do you like that one. No i didn't like it was. I felt like make it to me. We score. Oh we want to keep the ball again. so instead they're going to make this interesting remove. I think what one less guy from there so it might be easier. That'd be limited to nine players within twenty five yards yards the. That's okay make the onsite a little more interesting They table rule that would expand the area where players are prohibited from blocking below the waist. okay only table that they'll revisit that next month. They eliminated overtime in preseason games. Good they changed the rule that will now force a loss of down. If two passes are completed. Behind the line of scrimmage changed a rule the ball now force a loss of down of two passes or completed behind scrimmage. How about that okay okay. The proved a rule to get that one. I guess in the same chaser rule now force a loss of down if two classes are completed. Behind the line of scrimmage in a whole game or like if it's if it's too in a like in the same same play series of downs series of doubts series of downs. I'm guessing so if you complete a does that happen passes or completed behind will now force. A loss of down of two passes completed by. I don't understand that one. I need rule check on that had sky judge sky. Are you approved. A rule change that ensures the enforcement of all except the penalties during his successful successive try attempts defined as an opportunity for a team to score one or two individual points. During one. scrimmage down. Yeah i get it. It's all just really confusing. Did not act number. Another bullet point did not act on a spot or choose proposal for the raven ravens. Stop the weird stuff man. For the winner of the overtime coin toss and that scenario the team would have the option to choose either which team on the first possession of overtime or where the ball would be spotted. They decided to include taunting among. Its points of emphasis for twenty twenty one. They clarified that the emphasis would be directed not at celebrations but toward can a negative interactions among players. So you can't step over him and be in point at him mean..

"I've never been on the floor website. Never look at the globe website to check anything but they've been on snapchat. They've been on instagram. The been on all of those things all morning so you can get them like you say where they can go look. It's on the apple. That can do this and i think it's a huge thing. When he said just opt out is it seems so simple. Definitely definitely one to look forward to and yeah. I don't think it'd be overly expensive. What are to think nowadays. It's not so expensive. I think even just four five years ago if you said build me an app you're talking six figures sometimes but i think mary theirself Where you can actually virtually build your own technology. That's i think one of the things that we need to learn from and you know if you think about the tennis. Coaching culture or business model industry. Yeah if you think. I've done it for almost thirty years. It's not changed that much in the last thirty years in terms of the business model. You know it's still your Program excetera still individualized and squalid camps etc. And if you think in that time how much the a technology industry as gruen like were were not living in the same world as we were and years ago. Never mind there. Not enough abbott. Lew world to stuck sometimes in the dark ages. It's funny because i was listening to the us soccer manager the other day news might of the other dykes or somewhere like that. I'm what he was saying. Was he's had his attitude to football. Hasn't changed attitude is if we have the ball. I mean they don't have the ball. Keep the ball out of our nash. I we managed to get the ball into their as. We're gonna win visit. You can have f- guardiola's. Abc indies at still the basics. The second tennis is disabled it. Destiny is way behind from the technology point of view. Yeah thumb allardyce who one of the first managers. and this is one of the things. I've listened to love podcasts. And he was like one of the pioneers in terms of sports science. When you first bolton so it to hear someone still say right. Keep it simple in terms of the tennis or the football delivery for him but the way you get there in the tools that you use are vastly different to what he would have done and back in the day but right okay. "Was definitely a down-to-earth moment. Let's get to the real stuff. You know, we're going to talk about some of the leftovers from the weekend the Senior Bowl the Matthew Stafford trade, then we're going to get into a little bit of a Super Bowl preview and I talked about Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by wanted to log Start with the Senior Bowl and just any leftover thoughts. We've talked about this a couple of times already. But any leftover thoughts from Saturday's game out. Yeah, I'll kind of just move past an actual and stuff cuz I feel like they've talked about that play and we all know he had a good week Fitzpatrick. He's the guy for me that I'm really excited about and and I know we've talked about him a little bit but we haven't talked since the game. He's the leading receiver in that game six catches 90 yards could have had a another big one you could have had like a 50-yard touchdown to but Philippe Franks missed them by about fifteen yards. He supposed to be undrafted right now. He is a consensus undrafted player and wage. I'm not saying that the Senior Bowl kind of cured all of his concerns. The biggest issue with him is consistency. He'd be a game-breaker for three games that Louisville and then disappear for three games one strong week doesn't wipe that out. I'm not saying, you know, I take him in the first round, but you know, you look at a guy like Terry McLaurin who went I think on day three right or even acknowledged Kobe Myers and there is a lot of Jacoby Myers game I think in Des Fitzpatrick in the wage. I said proven to be be difference makers and I think Dez Fitzpatrick can be that guy in this draft at some teams going to get a real treat on day three. He's six two two hundred pounds when he gets in and change his brakes in and out of his Cuts Like a guy, you know, significantly smaller. He can create separation when he doesn't he is an act to use his size to kind of body out Defenders. He's not quite a burner but he's not surprisingly fast for guy his size. He looks like a burner cuz you don't expect a guy his size to move as quick as he does. So that's the guy, you know, as we kind of look at some of these day free picks cuz.

Chiefs matriarch, now 82, will continue Super Bowl streak

"Under head coach Andy Reid the Kansas City Chiefs have one thing in mind when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl fifty five on Sunday make it two in a row read knows this is a special game obviously historic game from the standpoint that there's never been a home team that's played at their own facilities so I I think that's a unique situation the defending champion chiefs high powered offenses equipped to do just that having averaged four hundred fifteen yards per game during the regular season including over five hundred against the same Buccaneers just a couple months ago Patrick Mahomes will have plenty of weapons at his disposal with the receiving corps led by Tyreek hill and a ground game topped by Clyde Edwards Hilaire I'm Tom Aikens

"fifteen yards" Discussed on The RIFT Radio Podcast Network

"Scariest experience of my life a true story brennan by user burnt schmidt. When i work for a security company. I used to have to do nightly rounds in an old dilapidated building what used to be a newspaper. Printing press journalist offices usually our do these rounds around three to four. Am the building was five stories. And on each level there was a small metal cylinder attached the walls and doorways was necessitated. The use of eight dickey stick which i'd press into the points which registered to the main office to prove that i was doing all five floors and end. Some of the building was led as during the day workers would be inside servicing the electric panel or tearing apart floors. When i did these rounds. Nobody but me would be in the building. It had a cold chill inside at the time from the winner. They're walking through a large abandoned building and dead silence. I admit with some creepy. The smell was old and stale. Sometimes i'd hear strange noises but nothing too serious. I felt generally comfortable in the building except for one floor floor. Three one end of the floor was led by an overhead light around the staircase but the other end which stretched a good ten to fifteen yards was pitch black. Whenever i'd make my way down that hallway which you could only go last to another hallway to which eventually led to an open was short segmented cubicle walls previously an office floor and on the other side. Dark open bathrooms which looked like something out of sally hill. I was felt uneasy extremely uneasy. That feeling some get when they say it feels like i was being watched. Yeah that was me one night while making my way through the darkness of the floor. I felt something touched. The back of my neck swatted at it thinking maybe a spider it landed on me but no nothing there. I showed my flashlight and found nothing. The stood up on my neck. And i made a run for it. A look back behind me. Ignoring the final point i had hit which evolved me walking the full. Stretch the hallway through a door to another creepy dark room hitting my point and going back to the eerie hallway and finally back to the light and i swear i saw a shadowy mass moving about near those dreaded bathrooms later on that night i went to valuate a guard at another site. We used to work in the building for years ago when his functioning with employees asserted. Tell him about that building. And i said to him. Yeah i got weird vibes on any immediately interjected with the third floor. I was dumbfounded. Create meter shot so high broke the glass. I asked him what he meant by that before revealing my story. He told me that woman had committed suicide on that floor. Her husband had left her and she got up from her desk walked to the window and leaped out landing like a splatter pancake in the parking lot. Not long after the woman on. That floor refused to stay past four and they all voted the bathrooms. They may claims of hearing voices and seeing shadows out of the peripherals among other things he used to do the rounds in that building during work hours but one night he stayed late and it rounds after dark whenever what head left. He felt the same vibes any also claim that on that night he shined a flashlight down. In the direction of the bathrooms and purportedly saw a tall black figure slightly hunched over standing in the doorway. It's back towards him peeking over its shoulder. He bolted out and never went on that floor again. Our lease near the bathrooms to give some details on. Why the bathrooms were so iri. They were both next to each other and doorless. When i shine my life into the pitch darkness i'd receive back the glare of the mir's with stained splashes all over them creepy porcelain white sinks white tiled floor and shadows bouncing off the walls if you haven't played it. I'd recommend going on youtube and watch a clip of the hallway. Back from seen from outlast to the corridors and bathrooms are strikingly similar. To what i'm describing here. Just those images alone will give you goosebumps now. I know psychologically. I freaked having to do rounds at this building but couldn't avoid it. Our company was contracted to have a guard. Worked the grounds twice a day got stopped with the night ram so you can imagine my next visit. I was not looking forward to it. I went on for several days with nothing of info curling however the feeling of drop wooden subside only strengthen finally one night Worked at the court and said it out loud if anyone is in here make your presence known sought fricken with me nothing. I continue down the dark hallway through the door into the dark room at the end. Flash light in hand hit my point and entered the hallway passing the bathrooms and going to turn right into the dark area. Suddenly the temperature plummeted rapidly enough. Rose i can't explain it but i got the sinking filling in me that something was right behind me now. I know that typically when people give their accounts ghosts and demons is usually just tricks of the light or their own. Mind seeing something. That isn't really there but mentally. They somehow contorts reality to fit their skewed beliefs. And they're seeing something. Which is not there while i've had that happen to me before. And this is not one of these instances. I was completely awake. Engaged and lucid hell. I'd never even really believed in the paranormal demonic. I was never religious anytime. I thought i saw. Guess your spirit. I was able to conjure up a reasonable explanation like a shadow. Creaking pipes house settling dogs barking outside. Etcetera believe me. I've tried over and over to rationalize what i'm about to tell you. But i just can't. I was as much a skeptic as any scientists on earth but i was about to confront was absolute formed and not by any means trick of the light our peripheral movement. I started to walk faster. Prank series the end of the darkness. My gut told me. Don't turn around. Just don't turn around. Don't turn around. But i had to. I couldn't wonder anymore. So i turned. I looked behind me into.

"God forbid white or devon gets hurt you know we're gonna put in and you know a lot of times what we're not a lot of task but a few times. We put three middle linebacker out there. So yeah my guess is all bring back chapelle russell you know. We just waved him. And he's one of those practice. Squads yeah casualties. So my guess is that we'll probably bring him back this week. I told you that the special teams was going to hurt us man than we had one blocked extra point. We didn't have a blocked field trying to do it but every single time it was close house like there was one from. I wanna say like the fifteen. It was a close one and it does barely was yogurt. And then i left upright in a lot of it came from laughed. One came up the middle and we'll came from the right. I mean it was like every every time it was a little bit different but the one that was blocked thinking came from the left left a position. would yeah we. We got to do something about that. In and begins you know he. He returned a plot one time he had fifteen yards in front of him and he hesitated and then went lateral. And didn't i think he got. Maybe two yards i. Now you're like you had to run forward. You what got fifteen yards instead of running fifteen yards laterally and getting to like. It made no sense when he was doing. Yeah i just. I just hated. It just seems like we do not put anything into special teams you know. She's an afterthought just basically don't screw up as what they seem to preach out there. I don't know how much time they put in the practice on specialties. But you know how many we got like fifteen different head coaches out there and we've got all these groups remember. How last year. We were doing the i team. Second teen were getting same about reps at the same time. Yeah i was awesome are we doing that was special teams and are now. We need to need to have special teams out there reps all day long but probably because their second team. That's her. I know her.

What Is Wrong With Cam Newton and the Patriots Offense?

"To ask a questions about Camp because I want to know what we're watching here and what I mean by that is this is somebody who was considered throughout his entire NFL career to be a top ten to twelve came back. He was never great from the pocket. He was never super accurate, but he was not a dumpster fire. So what's happening is is it he's just off falling off a cliff at age Thirty-One, which doesn't necessarily happen very often if at all at the quarterback position where a guy just you know goes from the top ten to twelve guy to just plummeting to literally one of the you know, 557 worst quarterbacks in the League this year. Is it physical with him Jay Glazer said before the game in Glazier usually has some really good information, you know, he kind of keeps a lot of the stuff in his pocket, but when he drop off stuff, it's usually dropping a bomb unless it's, you know, teasing 24 hours out and offensive lineman with covid-19 another story, but you know, you've got you've got Glazer coming out saying he's in an awful lot of pain. Is it is it that like what I just there needs to be a reason Greg there needs to be a reason why I saw a Cam Newton for eight to nine years in Carolina again not be supervised celebrated with a program and and not be you know, incredible breaking defenses down but still effective and now this guy is completely completely a mess. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Is it is it is it physical that he fall off a cliff is this what he is like are the Patriots not necessarily utilizing him in a manner like Carolina did which would make him more effective. I want to get to the bottom of it cuz I feel like what a lot of people are doing right now and it's it's listen. It's Justified criticize them all you want he's been bad, but I feel like we're more criticized in the result instead of asking why like what has gone wrong is this just the inevitable deterioration of a guy who took a lot of hits and is now what he is. I don't know what the answer is. Yeah. Well here's Answer it's a lot of little things that have sort of added up and gotten us to this point because I think you know really I mean really in the past month. He's been bad. In fact that you would say he was average or a little bit above average but I think on the whole this season, I would say Cam Newton is average number one. As far as factors would Newton and why he's not better why it's not working here. Number one for me is he's no longer. He doesn't have the legs. He used to have he is no longer. He's fine, He's still elusive, but he's an aging mobile quarterback and that doesn't really work and that's always been part of the equation with Cam going back to Auburn. Anyone Heisman Trophy you can teams had to respect his legs. They realized they no longer have to respect his legs because he's not going to just dominate a game with his legs anymore. He doesn't have that ability would be so instead of instead of being afraid of Cam in and being like we have to have eyes on cam and we have to do this and that they're know in playing Zone soft his own. They're no longer. They they realize they no longer have to do that. So, you know, they're just stacking the box and they'll play cover-3 on the outside or man-to-man or what-have-you. They they do whatever they want to do coverage wise cuz they know cams not going to beat them. I mean at most what's he going to get ten fifteen yards? Like he's not going to change the game. Number two is the Patriots just distinct lack of weapons and we'll talk about this anymore in a little bit. But I mean look the Patriots are goddamn horrible at everywhere other than running back and offensive line. I mean they are they're I mean, they're awful. They are awful. They're awful in this division there at the bottom of the Barrel in this division below the Jets below the Dolphins certainly below the bills. I mean, they're just it's falling off a cliff. I mean they have nothing they have no tight ends. They have no wide receivers. They they have running backs. Yeah. They have a great offensive line. Yeah, but it's only going to get you so place so so it's all on cam like when you when you take off If if Cam had better weapons if he was saved the bills, I mean if he had Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley and John Brown and like, you know Gabriel Davis and Dawson box and you know, all these guys all over the place where you can spread them out and they gotta be like, oh crap. Well, we got a double digs because what's going to happen like Then then cam might be able to do some things like between his legs and the lack of weapons. There's just the Patriots are just they're in a telephone booth. They can't they the quarterback can't do anything with the offense of coordinator can't do anything like to me you combine all those things. Plus there's probably some residuals shoulder stuff with Cam you combine all those things? Yeah, and you're right. It's it's not good in offense right

The Problem With Newton's Throwing Game in Rams Loss

"Version Cam Newton did we see here what he was asked to pass. Well, I thought that he saw the field decently well and I think he's making solid decisions with the football. The timing could be a little bit better and there's certain instances where I think the timing is more of a factor than others for instance the defaulted to Mere bird on the double move. The pressure really was a factor on that play and he had to slide up in the pocket to avoid the pressure. But if he doesn't have to slide up and he's able to throw them all on time and that's probably a touchdown or at least a more competitive play right instead of two guys being all over damiere Byrd at the catch point. He's behind the defense. He probably has an opportunity to catch that ball the other kind of issue that I I kind of see what the timing is on the short throws, you know, James White's production and and ability to affect the passing game has really hurt a lot because the cam and I don't need to put it all on cam. But when you see James White Run routes out of the backfield, he's the type of guy that you need to get him the ball sooner rather than later. You can't hold the ball and then throw the ball to James White the flat because of the players deserve. And to get James White one on one with somebody in the in space on the outside on the boundary, then the ball needs to get into his hands sooner than so he can read and react and make a play and make somebody Miss. So he saw that third down on the opening drive where they ended up having to go for it on fourth down cam just Waits an extra tick. It's just an extra tickets literally half a beat and because of that half a bead by the time James White catches the ball game turns upfield the DB is right on right and if he's able to get the ball out just a little bit quicker than James White has some time 15-20 yard game, right. He has some time to shake somebody and and eluded tackle or Thursday through the angle or whatever the case may be. So those are the little things that you see with cans timing and the timing of the entire operation that when you only throw the ball nineteen times and you start to count, you know, okay, you have the Mist default and your bird and there was a Crossing route to Jacobi Myers. That was a really tough throw that came just missed by like an inch or two and you have to make that pass because then you have to make the double dog. Work with bird and you have to get James White the ball sooner in the flat and these little things these nitpicks truly. They are nitpicks folks. We you go watch other quarterback play and it's not it's not all sunshine and rainbows for the other 31 teams either and I think we get too caught up in the minutiae of where is his Fleet and you know, his shoulders are flying open as hips are doing that and he's not pointing towards his Target and this that and the other thing I think it's too much conversations about those little things and not enough conversations about the big picture things, which is really just timing and kind of understanding what you know, your answers are that kind of stuff that I think is more important probably than all the little manush has like the throwing mechanics and things like that. Yeah, and we talked about this last week just under rated quarterback skill off of of being a dink-and-dunk quarterback. It's it's it's it's there's such negative connotations behind it. But the the Precision that it takes and the timing chain, And the placement all of those things is the difference between 4 yard losses and fifteen yard gains sometimes and those are big plays potentially if you hit them right and and being able to do that within the rhythm of this office is difficult seeing obviously James White be neutralized because there's not a lot of Playmakers on this team and he is one so finding a way to get him going. I think that really goes hand-in-hand with Cam being able to do this off

No first downs on their first five drives later in the second still most scored but russell wilson is doing something about that. They came back cab. Fifty two yards down to the one yard. Line metcalfe playing with a chip on his shoulder against the team that passed on him in the draft a couple of years ago. And then setup vis wilson david moore for the touchdown on the corner and the seahawks take a seven. Nothing lead next seattle drive. Its second goal and they can do it on the ground. Chris carson is back and better than ever bullying way into the end zone for a score and seattle a fourteen. Nothing lead with five minutes left in the hand now. Eagles trying to get something going in the red zone. Second and goal final seconds. Wentz dallas guttered. Yes there. On the board three yard touchdown fourteen six extra point.
