"Let me just run through it. So you know doco of course. Coach will hardy damon stoudamire. Ben sullivan joe. Zula an air miles and tony. Dobbin's assistance and then evan brad's gary jackson. Dj mcelwee a medium. Saying and steve. Chen game is The those player instant staff members and assistance head coach matt reynolds so at least from a lot of new new names right about that. Yeah some of these were reported on some of these are all kind of just like info dump At the end of the offseason kind of announcements There was a time with some of these announcers coming in. You know making a pretty big stir but they kind of long everything else in tune to the new cycle like. I noticed. You didn't swing it to me to talk about. The potential camp invites. I'm glad you didn't because no one really gonna make the second the second to a slot or they're not and if they do make it then maybe maybe they will contribute to a game or two or three. Yeah that'd be great Yeah i don't know this is coaching thing. It's good everything's coming together media days and be monday super excited about that. I don't know what we have to talk about what we think you have. One thing i will say media day for the boston celtics is indeed on monday. So if you are already make sure you're following at justin queen with three ends on the end on twitter because he'll have you covered. I will be teaching ninety block to econ class at that time. But i would have it any other way. I will say it's not super novel. Thought in apologies to the assistant coaches all of whom are really talented wonderful. I really liked that. There isn't like a high profile ex player or ex coach on the staff. That might take away the spotlight. I think you know worked in brooklyn obviously thinks define with a star-studded raw servicing coaches. But i could see that Distraction and at a needless one so ridiculous data. Meyer is nobody with respect. I mean all of these guys are their jobs ten times over. I don't mean to say that. But they're not. They're not mike. The captain tony. You know what. I mean. So i do appreciate that although i am not contributing too much conversation and then finally detro- dirt through his app. Let fans pick his jersey number and they selected the number seventy one which is the opposite of number seventeen. The number of you usually wears number blunts to mr john havlicek so sorry dennis and can use splaine. I know that like fans of german soccer team or china rigged the election Yeah it seems like he. I don't know he went into his knowing it could happen or not but he seemed fairly okay with it you know. I didn't really want to have maybe even kind of using a contract to spur fan engagement a bit more but one of the biggest rivals to his own favorite team in german soccer Finkel hanover ninety six and so with ninety. Six being one of the essential numbers was a significant though perhaps senior. He's doin' tabulating. The vote can tell us didn't win anyway aung assuming you'd be playing all above board He's not to then conceivably could have been stuck wearing the heated rivals number all season long with boss. I think it It's such a time stamp of when dennis schroder became a household name that he has an app. Is i feel like you had to be getting good around. Like twenty fifteen sixteenths. Maybe seventeen for someone to talk you into that. Because i can't imagine popular tape instagram. But the desert all that knows the music sweater playing a show at dc nine district of columbia. Alexey please face. That band will contract next week. Brace wheeler wiler thanksgiving praise wiler for coming on talking to us today and just and i will see you next week. Care has the power to bring kindness where it's needed. It brings out the best in every one of us. It doesn't just see people. It takes time to understand it puts the needs of others ahead of its own. When you start with care you end up with a very different kind of bank truest. Juist bank member fdic.

"There's so many things to be thankful for excited for tomorrow night. The very first most importantly the very first nfl thursday night special. We got buccaneers. We got cowboys. It's going to be great is gonna be wonderful I wanna get picks on this to wanna blow thursday up. Make it the greatest day ever and i need. I need the whole against to get involved on that mic acres. Don't know that name. Sports business and transportation transportation journalists. Let me say it. Like human at review journal got like eleven thousand followers. So he's he's doing good for himself then. He re tweeted this list from the action network. America's american sports teams that received the most negative sentiment online can guess what's number one. Take a wild wild guess. Just think of hated sports teams saving it. I wanna say raiders. You've got you got it and Four they received fourteen point two percent Second is the dallas stars than the arizona. Coyotes philadelphia seventy sixers chicago bears. Basically they received the most negative sentiment online okay. Toronto maple leaves. We go down the list. Toronto is six vancouver seven buffalo eight toronto nine. The broncos are coming in at ten the most negative sentiment online. I don't know how they base this. You got you scroll down there and go ten. Eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteenth. Most hated franchise is our beloved denver. Nuggets like i get the broncos people like dixon and chiefs fans and stuff just hated. John elway because he rocked their world so much. You usually hate good teams. The broncos have been to a lot of super bowls. They've won three. They're right up there with the most super bowl victories of any franchise but the nuggets a. What's the hate about the nuggets. They upset the seattle supersonics and a cinderella story in the early nineties with the combined. Matombo was glorious. j mellow ye-. Hey joker is that what this is. This more joker stuff. You guys are ridiculous. I saw something the other day though from. Espn that was like. There's only one man that stands in the way of the lakers winning another title this year. And that's nicole yokich goosebumps. I'm excited for basketball. I know we're supposed we're a for football. We've only just begun but basketball seasons. Not that far away. Let's get after it let's go. Let's let's see what this team has. Let's see michael porter. Jr. couldn't take that next step and you know what if they're gonna hate you go win. Just go out there and win. Upset people because apparent like. Where's where's like miami heat on this list. Are they on it anywhere. Because that was they were hated when lebron was there are the buffalo bills hated. They're in the top list cowboys that can make sense. But how are the cowboys not. They're not america's team anymore in fact if you're not a cowboys fan you hate the cowboys. I thought the patriots rotated. But now that tom brady is gone. I guess that's that's a deal. The utah jazz down. The road like who hates the jazz. They're just a mormon fan base. That doesn't drink alcohol. they're not bothering anybody. Thirty one minutes after the hour. We're gonna talk buffs. They got big one coming up this weekend. We'll get bark. Johnson scope of things. Of course what happened last week between the buffs and the bears first. Let's get the latest on a local sports flash..

"The only the only bad thing about it which is actually a positive his because you have to use a scraping tool museum. One of those easy would tools to do it because you have to do that. It kind of leaves a rough surface is not exactly glassy smooth surface. It's not bad but you know it's a little rough but what i've found is that actually holds better in the in the socket than if you had a perfectly smooth surface so yes yeah. Oh yeah no i i. I think i'm with you there. I think that case too. I leave like. I said i generally do it with my just my little one inch roughing gal or something and i have to pull it off. Test fit pulled off test fit. But i definitely if i get a smooth cut then i hit with sandpaper or something because yeah i i agree i it seems like you get a better fit and i feel like you know you're gonna get a better glue surface to roughed up a little bit. You know exactly. Yeah i might have to try to cooperate that that is that a pretty easy setup too once you get dialed in just slap it on late and go. Yeah once you get a dialed in. It's it's it's finicky to get it set up. I don't know i gotta video out there. That is extremely boring monotone. Going do but I kind of walk you through its on. Igt it's also on my My youtube but But it's it's once you get set up. It's easy it's like bloom. i mean it's like take it off the shelf and it works right now there's But the initial setup is going to building it in the initial setup. Hey it's going to take day but it's but after that it's like yeah. It's what i use all the time. It's easy to set up. It's easy to index. It's easy to To do and you know before all my jigs only had my jigs going up to what is it. Thirteen absorb fifteen sixteenths of an inch. You know as far as taper ten and that that that was top ten a gutter. Now i i decided well i'll move him up and go. How much among gonna move them up actually moved from an inch and it's amazing. You're only moving. You're only increasing the diameter by sixteen th of an inch. It'd be amazed how long that is a six degree taper. That's like almost more than half an inch. Wow yeah it's it's it's like incredible. I say it's worn half an inch. It's definitely more than a quarter of enhancers. Probably almost half an inch. But it's only increasing of us sixteenths of an edge. You got this this giant ten and it was so funny. I love all that you know trying to figure out all these little problems. And and like yesterday i was fitting arm rail on that that high chair and just that same problem you get you know where like one spindle seats all the way all you know let's say five of the spindle seed all the way and then two of them they don't sit and you're like okay. Is this since the whole or is this the the the mortis in the arm. Rail is the spindle. You adjust you pull it off you just one thing an now. Four of them are often what it's frustrating. But i love just diving into these problems and trying to figure out and then and then it's cool you know one of the the the known chair makers like to comment on it or say something you know. I feel like such a nerd. Sometimes but all i'll send something to curtis sent that that bending forum to him with the sack and you know he was like all that's great and i do all right. Curtis thought that it was cool. It's fun to get there and share these. Ideally people often and see what they're doing and and the funny thing is like when you do you come up with an idea like there's a couple of things i posted on on instagram and You know i posted and then a couple of days later. I'll see somebody do something else. And i'm like oh that's my idea was bad. That's the way that's fair. Now for conversation with marcus tolbert and is there. A pistachio would. Can you actually make something into people like turn bleeding a tree or a bind or a actually but the sasho is a member of the cashier family. A small tree originated from central asia. Small tree okay. Mall tree though. Isn't it more like a to it. Grows it looks like grapes on a vine the way the nuts are people. Turn olive so true stuff really. Yeah yeah. i got a marking knife. That's turned out of olive oil. Kyle you can just do some statue in. Lisi exactly exactly. Yeah i talk to you. You know you can get pistachio. would you can yeah Let's see pistachio turning would sale. Okay i mean this. This is from three years ago but But it looks to be you know somewhere in the three quarter inch thick maybe four five inches wide tuning. Interestingly rain i mean it's not tree so it's got a lot a lot of curl lot of ben to it. I'll here make some jigs out of it it'll be you know special next level stuff. Yeah a hundred bucks de. I'll be i'll be like caleb. Yeah extra hundred bucks and you can have these estacio edible. It's probably like the softest would known to man and just doesn't do anything good for you. The hardest most silicon based would while your blades. Yeah look definitely looks like you can't get much in large pieces of it anything Finding us multiple multiple pieces. Okay so i imagine. Those trees don't grow very thick crazy interesting well but they were delicious delicious nuts just the trick on on those once you bend your fingers to open one you then use half of that shell to open all the others into crack. That's open go to to and you you have a twenty percent of them are fully Closed yeah that too and then then you. You've squeezed like hell. Yeah you're good day..

"Offices clinics retail and grocery stores restaurants schools and civic spaces like theaters auditorium and convention centers. So it is. This is a pretty big expansion of what previously was single family homes and multifamily homes up to three stories. So i'm happy to see that. Sorry if i didn't say what they were mandating. Its tasks or panel installed on new building projects like that so happy to see that it is not final yet. It doesn't need to go onto a separate committee now. This was voted on the energy california energy commission now it goes onto the building standards commission but apparently the building standards commission has never not accepted. Something that's been passed by the energy commission so it should be an in a fine spot and it looks like that will take place and the mandate will start in january of two thousand twenty three so a couple of years last couple of things here and then my friends are just trying to get back into the house. But i told you bachelor. This is what's going on. I'm just trying to try to get through this episode but a couple of other things are so my dad had previously ordered starling. "Legs and center and use make abandoned formed that matches the arc. Now assume all the legs on that are similar to like a bench. They're all the same Lengthen whatnot. yes yeah so did you like Did when you saddled the seat. Did you make a little extra d to get that back a little bit. I don't thinks so. Okay and recall if i did anything extra there. But i'm also one of those people. I've been experimenting a little bit with the saddling his There was a time where it was like. Only five eight deep is our go and that was life reason But i mean 'cause typical seven eight to fifteen sixteenths is the deepest point to those and so that one. I really don't recall whether it is. It's either eighteen seventy eight. So i didn't do anything extra that i can recall Okay you just just curious just Just a just curious about that but yeah. That is absolutely stunning jer. It just automated that. It's we're doing the worst radio ever. So if you don't go to windsor and more dot com slash seating and look at what we're talking about. Why you're you're listening. Yes you're you're doing. You're not doing yourself any favors. Because it i mean just bad radio. Sorry oh yes yes. We're true professionals at this. It shows good act. We'll moving along. So you know these are. These are some fantastic examples of your of your craft in the windsor Format but you really been doing some ginny chairs a lot lately. Yes thanks about that. Well how did you get into the jimmy chairs i i had. There's a used bookstore here. And i was just going through their little section because it's kind of a gold mine sometimes. I've found some pretty interesting tiles. But there was a copy of original. Make cheer from nineteen. Seventy eight or sedition and it looks like it never been open i was like what is this and also i didn't know i had no idea what it was. I just i started out as like all these things like nice letter bags and it was two dollars so has like can't miss a two dollars and then and i tried to make a chair using that book and it's next to impossible i addition but he's a lot to the nation and so i kind of put it aside. Not you know. I've made goal from it because it's tools pretty easy enough man. I just Kept adding trying to think of ways and then finally There were the video that i found out about and so a bar that in that kind of opened up and so i watched the video. And i made a couple of them and mostly was just kind of experience and then of course chester cornet who's also One of the one or two of his shares versus addition sent four cents. Not with third edition. But i guess. The property. Copyright or probably. Yeah but this thing. I know Christian company are big fans of gestures. Yes yeah as am i. I love chester corn for the audience. There he's another ladder back chair maker so she definitely look into his work. Yeah yeah yeah. yeah he's. He's a eclectic ladder. Back chair maker. i would say yeah. Yeah some rockers. With like four or five rockers. In all kinds of interesting thing tests youthful stuff but Dan there were a classic greg's and one of the participants had admitting through greg. I'm through instagram. Before and He asked if i had any cheers for sale. And so this was last year during the pain day. Makino some point. And i said yeah i got a few like i think. He said he was interested. In one of the latter backside may previously in. So i brought a couple that i'd done and he he loved it but greg fell in love with a purple and And so he bought it and he posted the and then from that we just took off. I mean i was getting orders. I mean i couldn't even pick up the phone without it ring and saying hey can you make me one of course And so that's what i've been doing probably last year so a little bit longer. I guess just making as many of those as i could get out the door Kind of how you know how i got into making those was just because right ball will. How did the In the so you've had a chance to Run through the new addition three. Yes so so. How does that compare as far as You know i had the. I never read the first edition i did. I do have the video. The ginny did back in galle. What was that late. Eighties early nineties. Something like that ninety. Four okay and So i haven't cracked that the third edition. So how is that as far as Actually building a chair from the book. It is excellent. You could roll you. Purchase that book and make a ladder back. Chick really make a genie alexander style. I mean everything is there. There's no reason you couldn't ask the log make that chair and then you mean you don't really need a log. Has some good air. Dried material can make one from air dried materials. Well yeah it's a great book it's a it's a. It's more of a a step by step process of how to make share And it's it's a highly recommend if you really really want to make one of those latter back tears. That's the way to go go to your local used bookstore. Well we'll know we're talking about the addition okay. The line the copy the by yeah you can let law star press. Just the amount that they They went late. June is when shipping. So they're out and they will probably always be in production. I can't imagine them ever not producing that. That walk. yeah it seems to be a crowd favourite. The on and on you and i think lost our press was trying to get this book out the door for years. It just took some time with With what jenny wanted to do and was mother twenty do and copyrights and all that kind of stuff but they finally got finally got it done and out the door and yeah you can pick up a copy for the low low price of thirty seven dollars but as it just been said you you have all the information in that thirty dollars purchase to build your own chair very comfortable. It's the most comfortable ladder back. You'll.

"Know what else do well i mean. It's a the the referred. Yeah well what's going to happen. As far as going forward they'll be no turf. Racing september churchill. We'll have Early early september kentucky down which is just a you know right boutiques stays or whatever it is then we go kaelin which they'll be turf racing. There can be super tough. And then there'll be no turf racing november churchill and to me it's all about The weather in october can be a traditionally dry month in In new orleans and You know word. I'm hearing is they're going to try and set things up not necessarily right smack on top of the deter. Of course i i know. I talked to police. Friend of mine and their horses and their Station is going to be on the other side of the fence. Like in parking lot whereas traditionally they were set up right there three-quarter poll on the turf. Course so maybe little things like that and if we get some you know if it gets wet underfoot then we're going to have a little time issue but if it's dry and they just kind of get in there and get out of there And we'll still have some warm weather. You know the grass the ground. You go grass and louisiana pretty easily All up until december so Hopefully things like that will go our way otherwise. I'm not sure what the timing might be. But that would be an optimistic way to think that we're going to get on the turf course you know by late december january first but if things don't go quite that way it could be even longer who knows really well and of course. This is all the reason the reason this is even a concern that i bring it up is because of the the way the jazz and heritage festival was basically postponed or delayed Until october this year and You know long associated with the fairgrounds and in fact Before i ever saw racing at the fairgrounds. I saw two different Jazz and heritage festivals. And then. And then once i started going to derby i couldn't go to jazz heritage festivals anymore. Yeah i've i've i've never been to one day. One wah suggests staff. Because i've always been on the road In the old days We'd go to santa downs and it'd be gone and then same way with derby. I'm gonna you know. I'm not gonna go to jazz chess with derby so i've actually never been in my life but You know this this year People are you know saying things about churchill's not necessarily churchill. I mean they got a strong strong quote unquote recommendation from the governor. To have jazz fest and you know treat is like a little bit of a rebirth type of thing so you know it it. It was a it came from the very top to have jazz. Festus year Hopefully it's just a little bit of a smaller I noticed that the the scheduled in a you know in an artist and stuff. It seemed like it was. It seemed a little bit smaller to me. From what i've used to seen over the years You know as far as the lineup. So maybe the whole thing will be shade smaller and the track you know track will get through it a little easier. So that's that's my optimistic point of view on the falls and actually on my niece flash goddaughter's getting married october ninth which is the second or third day of the jazz fan. I'm going to be in new orleans. So i don't know if i'm going to Go take drive by and see. How desecrated my sacred around are going to be or not but I haven't been in town for adjustments. I'm not sure how. I'm gonna handle that but There's a chance. I might go take a peek at it. He absolutely should. I it it. It's incredibly fun. I mean for those that have never been. Don't know anything about it. Visit an jazz fest. Dot com the and heritage festival is amazing. Usually the last weekend in april and the first weekend in may is the traditional dates and This year to to get it on the calendar It's going to be the weekend of the you know. The eighth ninth and eighth ninth tenth and fifteen sixteenth seventeenth. It it is. It's unbelievable In in full swing the entire fairgrounds is covered with various performance tents and stages and all every day all day. There's one act after another every possible from mississippi mississippi delta blues to traditional jazz to modern jazz. The to rock acts to you. Name it i. It's it is so special and so much fun But unfortunately this year it's going to it's going to. It's going to affect the the racing season A little bit so all right. So there's the everybody's review on on the turf. Let's get a little saratoga preview. Out what What are you looking forward to. Who you looking forward to running When you get up here well i i. You know it's like anything else trying to find it very hard to pick. Who fits in. Who doesn't fit. I mean it's like the you know the manifest wasn't really wasn't put together until yesterday morning for the most part. There's always there's always a shuffle here in the shuffle there and It's all about The condition book and the conditions the horses and just everything. So i'm just a blend I'm trying to think of you know. We don't have much to run in stake races. We're gonna run to leak of this saturday in The robert dick memorial delaware and if she runs well she could come to saratoga and try some long distance turf stuff and So we're looking forward to that and Just a couple of young horses and phillies and a decent colt and and Couple of clambers here there now. We actually burgess. Delete is full sister out of From andre fives barn. And she's gonna we're gonna try and run her off the plane she's elder for non wars of to So she's She should run in the first book. The at At saratoga she's kind of an exciting prospect coming nice form. It could race tracks against good horses so You know just the horse's like that but It's all about having the worst ship. Well trained will and Do everything right. And all you can do is hope. Hope they run their best. Because we know we know is waiting there for us in the competition department so Hopefully they fit in. How how you fix for two year olds..

"Have this hedonistic mania that sweeps them up and they talk about how they're having sex just constantly but none of it is making love. It's entirely just like warding off the darkness by being drunk and horny. And it's just it's so hard core. It's so good. Glad you brought this up. I thought we were gonna talk about it in a later segment but I liked it as someone who on the sexual spectrum because so often mec- sacks portrayed as like a positive like it's a good to have sex. It's good if your relationship has sex and this is very much a situation where like. It's not good that they're having a sex. It's actually Indicative of problems. And you don't see that right. It's it's telling. Yeah and it's just nice. Yeah it's really really nuanced relationship writing and it. It got under my skin in a way. That i haven't had in the last. I'd say maybe eight books. Nothing has gotten under my skin. The way that that specific section really. Yeah not really quotable. No there's like a whole chapter. Yeah let's go on the topic of of romance. I've got to somewhat long voice. I've got too long boys. The first one is working with so many long boys exactly on the first one isn't super long and the other one is long. But i know. I'm going to kind of cut it. Yeah if you can do do the first long one and then cut the second one down a little bit and and we'll need to just keep rolling along. Yep yep okay so. The first one is from the very beginning She kind of has this nightmare than wakes up and it goes then she was awake and could hear herself in the dark. Saying it over and over like a mantra. I loved you a safety. I got you ice. I loved you safety. I got you ice. I loved you. I saved you. I got you ice. She lay there a long time remembering a hot august day in nashville and thinking not for the first time that being single after being double so long with strange heightened deed she would have thought. Two years was enough. Time for the strangeness. To rub off but it wasn't time apparently did nothing but blunt greece sharpest edge has so that it hacked rather than sliced because everything was not the same not outside not inside not for her lying in the bed that once hoped to me she thought alone never felt more lonely than when you woke up and discovered he still had the house tours yourself you and the mice in the walls were the only ones still breathing. That was the moment where i was like. Oh i'm here. I'm strapped in on i am i am strapped. So he's a baby love. Yeah i this book. It's so weird going from sell this book. Because they're they're they're just polar opposites there so they were published in the same year. Nine months apart. I i just don't know i don't get it. I don't understand king. what were you on. What is happening. A helix cell was like everyone was like we want a har- zombie horror and king own right and now like lisi story was something he had like worked on for ages Y'all especially because if you look into like how it came about like yeah is it. Came about like right after he almost died. Yeah and it smacks of that. It's a very personal story. It's also a really scary story. Really really really solid horror writing. This is my long form. I wanna talk about scott's long boy. This monster slaps. I don't know how else to put it. This is a great monster Up until i'd say like maybe what fifteen sixteenths of the book you get these sidelong glances at the long boy and what it even is quite literally. Yeah we know it exists. We know that scott's terrified of it we don't know a whole lot else has a piebald side. Had to look up. What piebald meant yeah lease even like. I don't know what that means. I had to look it up So as she is fleeing her attacker and blue moon lease starts to like think and feel sad and angry thoughts. Something's really really wrong. And then we get this description. What she saw was an enormous pleaded. Side like cracked snakeskin. It came bulging through the trees. Bending some and snapping others seeming to pass right through a couple of the biggest that was impossible of course but the impression never faded. There was no smell but there was an unpleasant sound a chopping somehow gutty smell. And then it's patchwork. Head appeared taller than the trees and blotting out. The sky lee saw an i- dead yet aware black as well water and wide as a sinkhole peering through the foliage. She saw an opening in the meat of its vast questing blunt head and intuited that the things it took in through that fast straw of flesh did not precisely die but live and screamed. Lived and screamed. Lived and screamed. Young stephen king. What the where is this. Ben spence tune king. Boy i read so many books and this like oh god here. It is a monsters monster and it comes out of nowhere. It doesn't get a proper explanation and it's never really solved like it's left in this other world and is still terrible and terrifying. It's just that lisi's specifically isn't going to have to deal with it and that's a yeah like hey some things you just can't solve. Yeah so. I want to what this living hell worm. It's it brings me so much. Joy i can't i don't have governesses like great monster. Good ma has added tom. What's your last one. So this actually uses the chapter break. I mentioned before. I'm not gonna like include the chapter break part. But it's this moment of pretty much smack dab in the middle of the of the book where the just snaps and it's it's beautiful and I'm going to read all that. I wanna read in. Then we will discuss what comes over. Her is a kind of seamless and bulging rage. A divine fury seems to push her mind aside and take control of her body yet. She does know. This is a paradox or not. This fury also seems to clarify her thinking must because she finally understands two years is a long time but the penny finally trucks. She gets the picture she sees the light. He has kicked the bucket. As the saying is delighted he has popped off. D love it. He is eating a dirt sandwich. It is a big one. "Human shaped on the regime dismissed a lot here manner. He slama lake or to learn about our welcome. Oh you're listening to shafique real and hamza. Thanks for joining us on today's episode of verbal outbursts. Where we'd like to have an informal conversation about some real topics we don't like you take part so make sure you leave. A comment or drop is an email on verbal outpost outlook dot com with your thoughts. I'm done barbaric Hope everyone's keeping well in shallow at the time of recording. We're about halfway into the month of ramadan. But by time you listen to on the radio station. I think we'll be about the last ten night taking the last ten nights On a lot of people during this time They'll be feeling quite emotional. You know knowing that ramadan's coming to an end An is quite difficult. Time for people you know. They increasing the data. Doing extra praise and doing doi- But there are probably also a lot of people who are fasting. Maybe for the first time you know. We had a hunter son on the episode last week. They're probably read. It says well who fasting i. i'm struggling so they. Maybe they wait for the month to end. You know has been quite difficult to make the in the doing well. Yeah i was gonna say my second. Youngest is his first fast today that he is. We've been really really really on edge making sure that if he wants to break any point he can and is been slightly struggling past our it. I mean he's been completely okay is been complaining a little bit more now over the past seven seven years old so we're quite surprised with our oldest But with the middle one now doing as well as being quite an do you know. He's been absolutely crazy. Been playing out and about with the kids in the neighborhood running around coming back at complete cable it trickles down is why should i be left behind where the main thing for him was start so for him. He's not really positive anything else but he wants. This is the start said to him. When you fast you need to do good things as well so thankfully you know is is a bit right. Because he's hungry but that look remember you. Fasting say you can't fight with your brothers and do anything crazy. Don't fart review brothers done upset. Say we're trying to balance it out but yet it's good the couple of hours to go so we'll see like the special meal. Isn't it that i remember. When i was a kid i used to look forward to avert nato special. We also hope shallow keeps these people strong and you know they to gain all the blessings they can during this month for those. Who are fasting for the first time This week's episode Want to discuss culture and superstitions that we sometimes come across and i think that's quite important because it can get quite confusing for some people Especially even during ramadan. There are a lot of things that pop up where you're wondering well. Is this something from his lawnmower. Is this something from my culture. Whether it's i mean the three of us were from saudi agent subcontinent. This probably other muslims. Who are listening From their countries they have their own cadre spects to it. And you might want to just a question whether it's something whether it's something from slum so what i'd like to his kickoff the discussion by continuing on What we so briefly spoke about last week which will saw the moon sighting. I feel like culture does have a part to play there as well So i'm going. To pass this on to my stargazing coast. Just see if he had any more also to see if you had anymore thoughts to share with us on the right. I've been completely jumped in it. This would be quite a Laidback show just co hosted. But in sums of moon saw together we briefly spoke about it last week. And it's interesting. Because i've been in. The moon has been very visible over the past few days on. We're styling to approach the full moon. Which is going to be coming up very soon around. Fourteen fifteen sixteenth nights We saw the full moon. But i think for me. I think the important thing is it's not i think me personally. I've gone through the journey with my own mentality. Where i think a number of years ago would have. The local mosque would have said ramadan starts tomorrow. And we're following. Saudi was that line and then there's always the second group of people that would come and challenge and many many many years ago i was why they was trying to stir up trouble. Saudis non-state whatever. Just go with. The saudis is simple as hunky dory so one and then as you get older you get open. Compeer bit more cynical about the world and That's naturally happened with me and probably most people but you start to question things a little bit more. And i think in recent years of discovered it's not that black and white and actually that counter against the saudis citing the moon and the quota calendar. I think there's a very strong argument against it. In my opinion. I believe And it's really not black and white so depending on which day you did do it. I mean i'm not passing judgment because.

"National set has really not scored out in this race the way I think some people assume that they would they really think the run and the AD he went they were expecting you know bound for nowhere would be coming off a break but he's still working strongly here at Keeneland for Wesley Ward we mentioned dollar obey we've mentioned fairyland already just a holic You know the the Breeders Cup then tracking I know who we mentioned and legends of war is coming off a win going a bit longer Kentucky downs I think he could cut back and distance and you know smart remark who's also run while recent wait you so well let's see one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteenths that's eighteen right there so that's without any any cross entry types and so forth so we will obviously ah what's the gate the gate is twelve yes and yeah and and as I said you know this this this is a race that historic Klay has oversubscribed or had a full gate so you know this is nothing out of the ordinary for for this race you know it's very popular since its addition to the breeders program well and I think back to a few of the of course this was down the hill so I it I think about there was dimension dimension was a horse that you know came over and and there were some milers that that famously we're going to cut-back to the six and a half it didn't work for them either when they when they tried it forgetting some of the some of the names doc it's clearly this year with what Ted out of the twelve most glee to be domestic demand honors local types Omar and I would think the the the opportunity for the the local horses think back this direction did she win with both of hers he'll she won she won twice. Yeah down the hill both because you think you think about it well desert code I absolutely down the hill with that one we you know that was the first one but if you think about some of the ones that have wanted and how much the local the local angle may have played in the you know into the the scenario Chamberlain Bridge certainly that was that was Churchill well like I said that's why I think I think it's so important that the local proxy add is run at that five furlong configuration that the turps spread is going to be run at so we did get an opportunity to see how the local horses would transfer that their forum to that of course as opposed to a downhill course so I do I do think that you know kind of having that run is going to play a key factor for the likes of Eddie Haskell appeal erase well we'll continue to keep track and watch Nicole's working list and her updates at Dri Nicole let's also utilize your expertise and your other hat that you wear frequently it is the bloodstock trade We had a mixed sale the first mixed sale of the fall here at Saratoga on Tuesday and pretty much the same from from a number standpoint the numbers were pretty much equal with a year ago it's always interesting to see the the weanlings add some first crop and practical joke jumped out up and and made a nice showing some thoughts as we get into the into the season for the mixed sales and and the broodmare sales Bruton we'll have broodmares in info coming up to in November We'll have the runners coming out of Breeders Cup that's always glittery night at phases thank keeneland sale as well and then Monday through Thursday next week we've got the October your links at phasing we're we're kind of coming from from all corners of the stock market's here As you mentioned the October sale next week at as it here in Kentucky pension wraps up your formal yearling sales season and really it's it's become a bit of a destination for if you know if you had a later are developing horse perhaps you target them for the sale all along if you had them entered in another sale and perhaps things in work out for one reason or another oh young horses can have all sorts of storable growth spurts and growing pains that could cause you to say let let's wait another month with him this this is really kind of the last stop for the yearling market so I think there is a sense of urgency in the buying and also you know people know that these are going to be the later developing sources Sometimes we do see this really nice some really nice physical that this sale I think this year they've gotten a really strong this catalogue you know there's there's yearling out of day at the SPA was you know champion Turf Mirror years back there's a half brother to the tolls the in there who's going to be one of our famous Breeder's Cup sprint I you know I think they've gotten a really nice catalogue you know the usual suspects ax kind of at the top of the center tap at Warfront into mischief Kurland Medaglia d'oro all in there but also some really nice you know well bred Horse says Bhai run happy Nyquist frosted who who have been are leading first crop sires throughout the season with their youngsters how is this these days how are they split up on just you know there are no there are no you know there's not a book one book two books three they just you know it begins randomly You know by a letter by the dams name and continues alphabetically through the four days so it's kind of luck in the luck of the draws to what day your horses landed on the catalogs are here and I have not I have not gone through them but I I saw they were they were tinted different colors and I wondered if if there was if there was a selective one of them was if they won it'll be a little bit more of a select group that it's not okay no end you know and I and I think they're pretty evenly distributed going through when I was kind of shortlist the sale I think I came up with standout horses on all four days you know I should've I should've mentioned now that I'm looking at my list there's a half a half brother to God stormy in there who we expect to contest the Breeders Cup Mile there's a half brother to stormy liberal who we talked about earlier who will be back to defend his win and in the Breeders Cup Turf Sprint there's a half brother to code of honor who were expecting to see in the classic there's really a quite a few racehorses in this catalogue well any impressions that you came away with just watching you know the the weanlings and of course a lot of you've a lot of a wing marketplace right now is we've linked to yearling pin hook market and I think oh I think we'll get a wider representation of that at the upcoming teen when November sale that's more of a bell weather but you mentioned you know the ourselves up in Saratoga which tends to attract kind of a local contingent but the first crop sires were you know very well received practice pulled joke with the top two lots of the auction and I do expect you know quite quite a bit of popularity for that son of into mischief intimate ship of course the leading general sire already proving himself as sires with Golden San Suu among last year's leading freshman you know so practical joke some of these other young sons of intimacy ship coming to start and coming to the commercial market I expect people to try to jump on those leans early and we certainly saw that with the first green linked by practical joke and again we'll get you know sort of a wider swath of representation Coming up to the it's November sales in Kentucky just by virtue of their larger catalogs we will see the first weanlings by gun runner and by arrogates You know I know that's very anticipated well in addition to the domestic marketplace the other day you wrote a piece that Caught my eye and I didn't get a chance yesterday with Sid Fernando to bring it up but you wrote about the American buyers the rations that the domestically that are now looking at tattersalls and of course Chad Brown and Seth Clarkson and went and marauded recently and are seeing the fruits of that already talk a little bit about the conversations you had on on that topic right well I think it's very interesting and todd pletcher who bought some horses over bottom yearlings over there for the first time this month You Know Todd pletcher discussed with my colleague Dave grunting how they're just you know there are more turf opportunities in America right now so you know you have to go you know if you go over to Europe you're of course you're going to get more diversity in the bloodlines in terms of top turf sires perhaps of quality You Know Chad Brown as you mentioned is doing that successfully for a number of years Chad ground was over there shopping for for for a number of clients this time in conjunction with noted bloodstock agent Mike Ryan Todd pletcher as we mentioned over there yes w bloodstock kind of dealt into international markets very successfully they went over and purchase that you see the young horse in Japan so I do think it's it's an interesting reaction you know I've been watching you know I've been watching for several years now kind of the rise of some terp opportunities for young horses in the rash of course I think we're a little more than a decade into these these two year old turf races at the Breeders Cup we added a new one last year and a juvenile turf sprint you have now naira taking the you know the races like the Derby and Belmont Oaks and developing the turf trip bowl and I think what we're seeing now you know of course people you know we always talk about people looking for Derby horse and I think kind of you know sort of the the prevailing opinion was that Kirpal something you did as a plan B but now I don't think that's necessarily the case I think I know it you know I think people can take a nice term force and develop him or her and have prestigious goals for them so I think we are seeing it arrive you know in the popularity of turf racing and American horses competing internationally and turf racing you know with the likes of is I'm I'm waiting to see the blood stock market starts to respond to it a little bit more you know of course you know outside of Warfront who you know popular internationally I think are are stallion lists are still kind of dominated by dirt heights stallions but of course we have these horses now that are going to be going starting coming years who were who were dual surface grade one winners the likes of Catholic Boy Yoshida you know and and others so I'm waiting see how you know how turf type stallions begin to be received if there's a shift in the market in the US in you know and certainly us buyers going aww things in play here that are very very interesting well and just just this week in fact with yesterday's news from Hill and Dale You know here's a lost treasure coming to join the stallion roster John Secure already brought Flintshire you're in Kitten's joy for the for the back half of of his career even world trouble technically a given his dual surface excess so hill and Dale obviously very much tapped into this concept and you'd have to include the Horse we discussed yesterday with with citizens.
