"Is joining us right now I don't think we overlap to the White House when I'm in a call to my former White House colleague she is none of the I love to do that Mercedes that all right they were all part of the family are you kidding some of the match the mega family she's in the CD's lab analysts he is the better half of the slap slap family the man you know the man of the American conservative union behind C. pack is going to be on the show later Matt as well but today we have Mercedes follow her right now miss CD's slap S. C. H. L. A. PP you are in Iowa correct we are actually not and I are both in Iowa along with about seventy some additional from third to do says he what I know what you just so you just trolling the are you just like staring at all with the the land you know crazy land it with the Democratic Party they have so many of their own problems that I don't even know for each I don't know for adding to their struck me but we but because I think Joe Biden said I don't believe that they're not going to spend you know those guys and our server gets over to Iowa well sleepy Joe Biden we're here in Iowa and full president showing strength and unity that we are not taking I work for granted and that we are delivering a strong message the staff of what president trump has been doing for our country she's senior advise the trump campaign we just want to know one thing Mercedes have you got a photograph did you spot for us Michael Bloomberg soap box many Mike I haven't seen many Mike our hit so far and the winner have you I I we we've got the audio comes from the president's interview with the prayer with the Sean Hannity yesterday and I want proof I need to see that little box that many Mike is standing on the in the in the meantime let's get a little bit all it offers you could write providing us with the trump campaign right like the plastic yeah I love it I love it I'm a **** this seems to be some serious problems inside the DNC the Democrats it looks as if we've got that hot might moment between burn the and put focus on to this we we've got the the Hillary making fun of Bernie is is the revolution eating itself the only just like going at each other right now there's not there's no question and I think what's interesting is to watch how the T. and T. the Democratic National Committee he's going to proceed as they start thing Bernie Sander where they are some of these take obviously caucus or primary coming up I had I mean clearly we saw that Bloomberg gave about a hundred thousand dollars to the DNC and guesses on to the next debate stage and they changed the rules of the toner about the money that the donors had to get to the candidate the DNC will regret Rick this process once again they are the establishment and I gotta tell your fight the third birdie camp I'd be very very concerned look I I'm not gonna feel sorry for non recalls you Judith communist a honeymoon in the Soviet Union bots it is going to be interesting isn't it was ladies if they if they do it again if a regular again like they did with Hillary and with the super delegates they could even be a contested convention for the Democrats combat of course I mean I think that the thing is you're not seeing any clearer what runner obviously we'll see who pulled it off tonight and it could be Bernie it could be by then and then will that trickle into New Hampshire and South Carolina you know we know that warns the sixteen we nobody judges well the thing is that this is a tricky profits for the Democrats I think the Democrats are having an identity crisis and they're trying to figure out who they are and quite frankly where they feel most comfortable is in the far left with the farmers the socialistic where they like the idea of government takeover of your healthcare government takeover of your liberties quite frankly and it this extreme agenda I think is very telling of where the base is in the Democrat party which is they don't like capitalism and they don't like each free market economic policies that the president has pushed for they don't they don't like freedom with talking to senior adviser the trump campaign to see the slot for her right now to the Mercedes lap the last thirty seconds we have with you what what is your message as a true trumps the former White House official to those whose sole themselves at least in the past as Democrats then who would just sickened by what they're seeing in terms of you know the squall the four horsemen of the apocalypse and and just the the the way that everything is Rick what what's a message to those who might be looking for another choice well imagine you know the president you spend time with the president and one thing about the person that you did not about labels for handmade it is about the American people red white and blue and what we keep finding is that there are those Democrats may not like the president tweet for example or may not like him but they like his policy they know that they're making a difference in their lives and their families live and so when we go around the country I tell you there are plenty of times where I asked the question here the Democrat but the support Donald Trump and you'll have fifteen hands you know raised up and I think that that's very telling I think when you look at the rally that it's about a third of those rally courts are Democrats if we are basically expanding our coalition it's not just the Republican base it's not just the trump trump trump it's also the Democrats who feel that their party has abandoned them there's a new home with president Donald Trump who is fighting for Americans and for all American workers did so well put the president isn't interested in labels he's interested in America that's why she senior adviser the trump campaign Mercedes slap keep doing what you do and give those data thank you give those dams in Iowa hot button I'm so magical convinces America first the Salem radio network take your calls next on a.

"Your product than you can fulfill stuff like that it gives you the sense that you're being pulled along long as opposed to like pushing and if you ever get that sense like being an entrepreneur where you feel like you're pushing but ideally if you're solving the right problem for the right people and and there's a good fit there. It shouldn't feel so much like you're pushing is more like you're being pulled if that makes sense now to describe that before that way so I don't I don't have a fully worked out but hopefully hopefully that makes sense. That's the that's the feeling I started to get when I kind of hit upon like the right niche with the podcast production service. I felt like I was being pulled. I didn't have to to push it on people yeah. I do know what you mean with the push and pull especially when you first start out being an entrepreneur and your first trying to you know see what's going on because some people they know what they want to be right away. They have the description that you discussed earlier. They know exactly what they're things already know exactly who they feel comfortable working king with but there are some people who do need to discover that and I do think that there are people who do need to do a little bit of inner work as well as outerwear outta were to discover what their niches because not everyone knows their niche right away and might already know that as an entrepreneur. Some people want to be entrepreneurs. GRANOLA WANNA help people but they need to go through a process before they discover their niche. There's a good opportunity there. There's a combination of inner work. You know reflection action and kind of thinking about what you really want and there's some great questions for that that are helpful but yeah when you talk about taking action when you combine that with the action of getting around around a lot of people a lot of people you think you might want to serve an impact or or the people that you think you might. WanNa be like or imitate man alive shorts shortcuts that process one of my own clients did this and I wish I would have been smart enough to do it but when he first got into real estate basically he went out and called up the top thirty or forty agents in his city and offered to take them all out to lunch and I think twenty or twenty five kind of took him up on it so he had all these launches bought everybody launch. He picked their brain and just kind of ask them what what what their day was like. You know what their life was like. How generated business you know how how they looked at success what their lives look like stuff like that and kind of got a feel for what it was like so that way when he hit the ground running as a solo agent he absolutely crushed it made six figures first year and then. I two years slater he'd two or three years later. He decided to start a team. As the exact same thing flies all over the country visits over forty super super successful real estate team offices picks their brain asks what their life is like saying like gets around them shadows them for a day at all his own expense right but the lesson there and I I wish I could go back and slap my a younger self because I didn't do this as well as he did is if there if there's if you're trying to learn something it's a lot faster and easier to just go ask the most successful people in the world at that 'cause they're actually much more willing to give of your time than we think and if you actually genuinely take their advice and implemented. They're thrilled like they're super stoked. in fact it's the it's often the people in the middle that are kind of on their way up to that or that think they're hot stuff but really aren't they're the ones that end up being the most closed minded and the hardest to get hold. Bevin the least willing to share their secrets if I would have known that I would have approached things a lot differently and I would have built a network of ultra successful people a lot sooner so yeah that was that was one of the things that really stuck out to me when I got to know that client is I went back and kick myself from analog. I wish I would have done that. I think that's a great point that you're making 'cause. I remember some years ago. When I first started out with Men's coaching now I didn't go to like the top of the heap there and getting like the biggest most macho was man but what I what I did waiting for you to call up. Jaakko willing can just asking ascertainment lunch. I'll take you to lunch so tell me all about manhood yeah basically because I wanted to help men one. I got to draw from my own experience number one but also when I was putting together the first version of my company I called. I started out with people who I knew I started out with men who I knew I started out with the calling up. People who watch thought would fit the profile AH wanted to serve and I spent time on the phone time I asked him questions about this that and the other got a lot of great feedback I was able to compile pretty decent profile with some you know with some problems that men in that age range was experiencing so I didn't go straight to the top but I did what you're suggesting being and it's a great idea for entrepreneurs to start talking to people who you think would be a good idea and start working with people who you think it'd be a good idea and eventually ential. You're gonNA find out that you know what I'm actually not good at this or excellent at this because they exactly but I hate the clients yeah like I found that earlier on as I got further and I'm like you know I thought I could do this part of coaching better but I don't think this is for me and I changed up a little bit so but of course that came from experience so I went through the same thing you know like my my ideal client has has changed and morphed over the years I I I came out of having like a brand name and a big podcast in the real estate space. I coached agents. I went down that road a little bit and just yeah like. I didn't enjoy the conversations yeah so I so I had to keep shifting. there was a great story. I heard recently just to go back to your point about you know digging in and spending time with the people that you think you might might WanNa work with and and service clients there is a there's a really big event shoot what does it traffic and conversion so if you know Ryan Deiss from digital marketer like like he's another big influence in that space so they just had their big big big annual conference of Marketers Bunch of online course program creators leaders and you know salespeople and all this stuff three thousand people. I think we're in the room. Ryan Deiss gets up in front of him and he asks for a show of hands. How many of you have talked to one of your own clients or customers. In the last thirty days. Out of three thousand people like ten or fifteen hands went up which sounds hilarious but it totally it makes sense and it goes back. I think a lot of times it goes to confidence. I think there's a lot of people that get into the marketing game because they are reluctant to reach out and and just talk to people they don't have the confidence to have the conversations that turned into sales so they wanna find a way around that and so they kind of look at marketing as a way around that it's not in fact the best marketers were sales people to begin with but it did really drive the point home the body mine was there and told me about this this event and and kind of what happened to that open keynote and it is really drove the point home. You know like there's there's all like our competition out there right. Now is making that mistake so if we don't make that mistake Dacre we're the ones that pick up the phone talk to our clients talk to prospective clients talk to the people that we think we might want to serve an impact. Were like were so far are ahead of the game because most people are afraid to send the email. They're afraid to jump on the phone. They're afraid to schedule a fifteen minute call with a super successful person and pick their brain. They're afraid to take somebody out to launch. They're afraid to ask you know. Can I come in and fly into your office and spent a half day. Just being a fly on the wall. You know like all those things that I see some of my most successful astle friends and clients do. There's a lot of people out there that are afraid to do those things and so. If you take that did that stub. If you're taking action building confidence those types of actions the more you do them. They're scary at first but they will build confidence and they set you apart from everyone else because most people won't do that now the legislative most people won't do do that so I'll ask you. Why do you think most people won't do that. And how can you get most people to do that because if you're saying that you build confidence through taking action which I agree there are some people that because of their lack of confidence and fear. They're not taking action so they have to find another way of breaking through that so how do you how do you address that. Um Well. I don't know if you can address from the outside if you're one of those people I think you have to realize that a Lotta Times. You have to come to a place where the pain is worse. The pain pain of not changing is worse than the pain of staying the same. If I said that correctly the pain yet basically they have to come to a low point and make a decision from the outside looking in you know if you're coach or or an entrepreneur that one that is passionate about helping other people grow their business. I think awareness is half the battle. Just understanding that that is is a either a fear has tation confidence issue or if it's just neglect you know you don't talk to your clients because now they just you know they keep buying you. you know like I'm I'm on monthly recurring revenue so I like. I feel that temptation like hey the cleanser happy you know but you have to have regular structure communication so even I fall into that occasionally. I do my best to avoid that trap as much as possible. Stay in communication with clients because I understand how important it is but yeah I think each of us has to tackle that for ourselves and if you're trying to help other other people with that confidence issue I think it's a you have to really ask the questions that get them to a point where they feel like the pain of staying the same as the the worst is worse than the pain of taking those first action steps. I really don't know how else do I mean. Coaching is a tricky thing. I work with a lot of coaches. I work with some people bowl that I feel like are are the best life coaches in the world from what I've seen better personal development material than Tony Robbins and coaching his really really interesting because it's so it's so easy to just look.

"T. R. H. welcome back our final segment with Ben that ms riches we talk about all his books including the thirty seventh parallel and we'll take your final calls as well then your thoughts on Roswell do you think something strange happened there I mean I I am a believer at this point that something did crash there that to this day haven't been identified I think the wreckage is at area fifty one and I think there was a very well coordinated cover up at the time a photograph that was fake showing a weather balloon and and I think that it it's it's pretty clear that whatever it was that landed the Air Force to this day doesn't know what it is so that to me leads me to believe that of all the things that I've looked at I think Roswell is still to me the most likely debris that we have a something from from from out there early on in the program you were talking about some debris do you want to be a little more specific on that sure I mean what what what happened in Roswell you know there was a a crash during electrical storm the rancher found a metallic pieces that supposedly had hieroglyphics of some sort on them they were you couldn't burn it it it was a a sort of a flexible material that that didn't burn essentially at the time that debris was carted off by the Air Force they went through the field you know inch by inch and took all of the debris off the field and placed it essentially on an airplane the flight within stopped where they fake that photograph and then the airplane continued on area fifty one not check the Caskey in my book thirty seventh parallel Chuck goes on a an archaeological dig at Roswell end up digging at the essentially the right level to reach that time period and found of a small triangular piece of metal that he believed was related to that degree field essentially his piece of metal is then sent Bigelow's people Bigelow's scientist looked at it you know did the analysis on it and came to the conclusion that it was made of numerous materials that are found both here and and in space but it didn't match anything they had in their database which isn't to say it was necessarily extraterrestrial but it was simply to say that it wasn't you know a piece of duct tape or or or something like that so you know it was it was intriguing and and it relates back to the Roswell story of nineteen forty seven and back to the twenty one story and that in that movie the the the if you're talking about a two deck right here there's what well I mean the the the kids in the back tech team played a six deck shoe so they would actually play on a six six two because even though you know it was slightly lower you had more time to play with it the the deck got good say a quarter of the way and that you might have ten or fifteen hands with a good deck well you're earning the percentage of money each time all right so yes so they played six that shoes as long as it's not automatic shuffler you can Kerr county the copy of the deck you know where you put the card the middle right what do they do that for yes the cutting of the really interesting advanced technique it's called where sensually you know after the blackjack dealer shuffled up they roll the deck into a line essentially and they offer the cut card to one of the players if you're sitting in the seat to the dealer's left you can actually see the bottom card on that deck when you're handed the cut card you can do exactly a hundred cards from the bottom of the deck and I know that sounds really hard but if you practice it for hours a day for a month you'd be able to do it the dealer then move the front of the deck to the back and now you know that the hundred and first card is that car that you saw if the card happens to be an ace which happened a couple times an hour you now know where an aces so all you do is you played down the deck you and your team takes over the table and you count down a hundred cards until you have the eighth lined up and then you've got ten thousand dollars you know when you get an AC gonna win most of the time seventy percent of the time and so that that the sense we have cutting works it's pretty wild to watch it looks like a magic trick do you go by the statistics this fascinates me the mathematics of all yeah it's all about statistics so the interesting thing about the MIT blackjack team they were not gambling it was an entirely match the scientific for them and they knew exactly what their expected return once they even make these computer graphs of what they were supposed to earn every in one of the do memorize all this when they went in there there was a client I mean they they practice and practice how to practice six months to join you couldn't pull out a chart and look at it obvious now you know how to do that I mean well actually you are allowed to have playing charts with you teach yeah but if you had a like a you know a big card counting chart with you I think it was here's a graph to his this is that right I mean they don't even allow you to look at your cell phone at the table and now you know you just following on these any device is smart watches or anything like that anything like that can be considered cheating but using your brain is not cheating they'd rather you didn't do that either but is that why they deal so fast you know so you can't keep up with it most of it is really just to get as many hands as possible the casino has such an edge over the average player that their whole goal is just to play the Vegas was not built by winners now it's it's all about everyone who walks in there has an expected loss back when I wrote the book the expected loss of an average traveler to Vegas was three hundred dollars a night so basically that's what they can expect from every person who walked into a casino and you know it's it's all men from their side and to the phones we go Cody is in corona California Cody Europe with us go ahead I want to bring up a guy named bill Schneider supposedly he works are has not worked with what and that was actually the first Medicare the alien that crash landed in Roswell incident still Schneider's dead now sadly world sorry are great stories yeah yes I have absolutely and you have to be a absolutely and you know but one of the characters in the book is the mortician who who who gave the coffins over to to them and Russell right so that's part of the story last name I think was Dennis right and Chuck becomes good friends with him is he still alive the old guy he passed away as well you just or they're all dying now yep people who are all there all the first person accounts at all going away but but yet Chuck got to be friends with him in and he's the one who actually gave Chuck the actual quarter net of one of the the crash site that wasn't as well known but you know yeah that's the reason there's also it's fastening the idea of whether there were bodies are not why they wanted all these child size coffin well in originally the Army Air Force announced that they had a crashed saucer right that's what they said it's unbelievable to me and it's hard to discount that and then when people say okay weather balloon well these were professional is a radar operator these people who'd know even what an experimental weather balloon look like they announced they had a flying saucer and then rescinded their own announcement it's it's very suspicious that really are you it really is and then you know the pilot told his son Marcel that he flew the strange parts out of right the whole thing is just suspicious to really as I would have loved to have been a witness to that and you know eventually I believe that to be is still at ROS at area fifty one I think that degree is in a warehouse I do think eventually it will come out and and who knows within the within the next few years first time caller Carl in San Angelo Texas Carl hi isn't that a little duck I moved down here but anyways I'm from izlesem I though when I was a kid my dad was a were farmers up their stuff and I was but eight seven six well at age they have so it felt like twenty or thirty have cattle that were skin completely Jeez and there was no there there were there was no tracks around there was none of that I was a just won't you listen to the older people talk about it but they had no blood in them but they were full they were there looking there was little Schwall number right and there is a loss of does about theirs stuff but there was a big deal that we can verify Alex human and no cuts or not and it was like these remember I guess it was like a lease or something just lose a little here listening to all this but that was interesting you know if any blood in at the scene Carl no there was no blood no nothing nothing and then later if they they have a lot of state moving between this worst personal round the sentencing long round there yeah they're trying to blame it on that but with that said we were drawn basis but there's no blood is original puncture wounds are going up they know how they died that's that's unusual to I had a case Carl and the band a friend of mine was a reporter for a local Saint Louis television station and he was assigned to go out to a place I think it was Elmore Missouri and he covered the story of there was a dead cow in the middle of a ring and the other calls were walking around in a circle but he said that's not the unusual thing he said the unusual thing is on the side of a tree there were a million dead flies cooked into the tree burned right it now how does that happen very creepy you know it it it's it's amazing and and what's amazing is the similarity of all these cases ten thousand cases manning fifty years and you have the same description the other scanning the bloodless ness I mean it's it's unbelievable and the idea is that the go to answer of law enforcement is always you know saying this and it's just it's it's really not a good answer the idea that there's this massive conspiracy of Satan as spanning seventy years in multiple states just isn't believable and and it without evidence you know you would have somebody arrested at this point so it's really intriguing we have Gregory and and Calgary Canada Hey Greg go ahead well really think St Michael's thing all right so we're talking with beautiful how super highly right hello I was in Thailand this guy was running around the beach and said that if he got he got to see and I said well what is that usually comes if you're still be two giant amber works will appear in the sky on the right and then one will appear on the left and then the meet in the middle and disappear that said yeah does that even happen let's set on the beach and sure enough it started happening and I started to you know for each of them chanting like that and I learned and then it became a nest in the middle and then disappeared and then it kept on moving down in the river ridge of treason force there and he went down behind so it was like he was moving with the rotation of the earth she was like they're moving in a certain spot was amazing well I mean yeah you do you know it's the the idea that there's specific you know place where you can predict where something's going to happen or or you've seen it before in the same places is essentially what what Chuck is trying to get at the idea that there might be this this highway this this more whatever for whatever reason this place will see it over and over again Chuck still investigating on an active basis then yeah I mean this is what he does.

"I hope what I this is a question perhaps slash comet and taking my call. I hope that you'll what I have to ask a really good question. And it goes in the topic or into the file about the vaccination. And if you. And I think this is something that I I think through some deductive reasoning I came about and I like to get your thoughts on this. If you any person that is currently under has their own doctor. Okay. You have a medical care little plan. Whatever you if you're currently under the in your doctor recommends some kind like, for example, you have a little bee's problem recommend something. If your doctor recommends suggest something to you, you you take much more differently than if you're not under a w because it feels good if feels that that that way doctor has my best interest and understands the nature of these vaccines or any other medication. And if we if we don't hear it from my personal, I think it has a less potency par. If terms of really reaching the the people's really profound understanding of how important vaccinations are and other things that we. Inject can have of for for many many many years. So I hope. You know to help people feel more comfortable, they if they're under if they're not, and they're sort of, you know, having a sort of like appear at school, or whatever they're saying, you have to have those vaccination, and whatever it may be much. You may feel more intimidated and feel that that entity doesn't really have your best interest in heart. But if it came from your doctor, personally, what do you do you agree or disagree with this point? All right who wants to start? I have fifteen hands in the room, and they only have three to start. Everybody. According to the CDC one percent, if not less than one percent of American children are not vaccinated amount to about one hundred thousand or a little motor less. Let's say so majority do, but then again earlier, we had a caller that one child vaccinated my child did not and what a difference between the two how one built immunity to it and the one that does now. So this is with kind of get a little bit personal on the parents part. So the doctor can recommend it. But the pounds hall to have the right to say, yes or no. So we have to respect everybody's. But. As vaccination gonna make everybody sick and kill him. Not likely, maybe maybe maybe maybe very very very slight side effect. So it's safe for majority who choose to do that. But on the other hand patterns will have to make a decision I personally won't not blame clinically speaking vaccinate fan on day, ADD ADHD autism. Federal I do not I think the mother room. What mutter thought mother eight? How mother lived had something to possibly to do what those issue that will be children. So I will not blame all those on vaccination. I don't know that holiday you have. But that's my personal clinical opinion. Because one of my is the woman who come to me wanna get pregnant wanna have a healthy children. And I monitoring them throw out there nine months. So would that said not every mother is ready to have a child today? They have an alcohol to monitor decide to be a mother. I don't know what effect that would have on the Health Day. You know, I wanna get with Dr Hala right after we come back from the break because we're running out of time here, folks. You're listening to the.

"In March two thousand eighteen crash in Tempe. Arizona in which one of the companies self driving cars struck and killed a pedestrian walking across the street when this. Self driving vehicle smashed into her. The county attorney out there said in the letter made public that there was no basis for criminal liability for Uber. But that the conduct of the backup driver Rafael Vasquez should be referred to Tempe. Police for additional investigation police said last year that best squares was streaming television show on a phone until about the time of the crash and called the incident entirely avoidable. He was apparently sitting in the car and should have been paying attention. A man who kept a nine year old lion in his backyard was found mauled to death in eastern Czech Republic. Michael prospects, father found his mangled body in the lion's cage which had been locked from the inside cheese. A man in Australia has admitted in court that he choked in air BNB guest to death over an unpaid Bill but claims he's guilty of manslaughter instead of murder. He's forty two years old. He's on trial for killing a thirty six year old person who ODI one hundred and forty nine dollars. Jeez. The national security agency is considering ending a once secret surveillance program that annually collects hundreds of millions of telephone call records, including those belonging to Americans because it lacks operational value. They say terminating the promptly program, which was exposed publicly by former intelligence contractor Edward Snowden. Nearly six years ago would represent a stunning admission by the agency a group North Korean hackers believed to be actively targeting US businesses and critical infrastructure, according to a report released this week by a cybersecurity firm. Let's check in with online columnist dot com. Dr John Curtiss Gs in the middle of that meeting. They were still doing this hacking between President Trump and Kim Jong UN John, but the hacking continued, well, I mean when you look at North Korea, it's really a mafia like organization, and they are living under some pretty restricting financial sanctions, which of course, was the reason why Trump up inherently walked although notes Korea has a different interpretation saying that oh, well, Kim only wanted to have alleviation of sanctions that were authorized by the UN Security Council. But the bottom line is that North Korea is broke. They're starving. There. And the way the criminal enterprise works is they happen to banking system. Not just in the US the world, but primarily George in the richest countries they can find like Germany, the UK. So the banking center in London or in Frankfurt, and they will hack into banks and literally transfer billions of dollars of cash out of empty, you know, be caught out in the angel- institutions because they're in such a Gaspard shape. So this is the the regime that Trump is dealing with where I mean, you have to give him credit for going the extra mile over there. It wasn't just a publicity stunt if you wanted to create some kind of a dog and pony show and have a fraudulent signing ceremony. He could have done it. But he realized that, you know, no deal is better than a worthless deal. And you know, they always cite the Iran deal back in two thousand fifteen. Handing Iranians billions and billions of dollars in order to get some kind of deal from them. So I think what you're dealing with John McAfee who's a real cybersecurity expert is on top of this. And he's advising I believe he's advising Germany right now, as to you know, with Georgia Bank, what they can do in order to protect themselves against these very sophisticated feeds that are out there, stealing primarily money out of banks so doing well, I wonder if the president gave Kim a signed copy of his book the art of the deal. I I'm not sure about that. But I I know that part of the art of the deal is walking away from a deal and coming back to it later. But I think Trump is still practicing that. Although if you ask Tony Schwartz. You tell you the Trump didn't write one word of that book. And you know, none of the ideas were even trout. Tony regrets writing the book now. All right. Thanks, john. John's website online columnist dot com. Well, the store Kohl's KOA Chelsea thinks it can draw customers by shrinking stores and leasing out space to gyms in supermarkets on Tuesday. They said they would lease out space the planet fitness next to ten of its stores in two thousand nineteen and if the experiment takes off Kohl's would expand the partnership two more locations, but they're getting smacked around by Amazon as so many other bricks and mortar retail stores are an asteroid as big as a jumbo jet made a close fly by birth yesterday were okay, it missed us by some two hundred seventy four thousand miles. But maybe it's just a matter of when will get hit. Let's check in with space expert, Mike Barra. Mike, what do you think about asteroids? Anyways, you think it's just a matter of time. Well, yeah, it is a matter of time. And I mean, it does scare that scares the heck out of me charge. Because I mean, you know, we know as fairly recently as possibly the of that in nineteen oh eight which probably was full. I that exploded in mid air that they can do incredible damage, even if they're very small like this went depending on what they're made of the energy, and the compression and everything it takes place, if they detonate now if this thing was as big as say, the Commodore asteroids that caused the the younger dryest impact event back about twelve thousand years ago. I mean, it could basically changing tire climate of the earth into a to put us back into into an ice age for twelve hundred thirteen hundred years. So even if it isn't an extinction level of that, even if it isn't one of these horrible massive, it worldwide extinctions that we would see I mean, even smaller asteroids, which are very very hard to spot track. Could cause absolute devastation, especially if they they. Struck a US city or a city anywhere in the world. I mean, if that if that had taken place over Moscow Moscow would have been completely wiped off off the map. So it's it's pretty frightening. And the thing is we don't see we doing all that much to try to do not just track these things, but to figure out ways to shoot them down blow the mob what they're deflect their trajectory. We're just not really doing very much. It's kind of like the power grid. We're not doing anything to protect the US power grid. And I I just don't get it one day something's going to happen bike and you'll be on this program. Saying see I told you so folks not that's sad. Mike. Thank you. Mike. "Ninety seven seven KOMO news time five fifteen hand. It has been a day. If if that's a way to put it and particularly for those who work for the Washington State Department of transportation out plowing the roadways clearing, interstate five four zero five and all the rest and joining us now on the KOMO news line is Allie Barreiro with the department of transportation. And well first off your crews have to be extremely tired. But the work is just beginning. Yeah. They're right now, they're taking advantage of the law. We have in the snow working hard out there clearing. The highways that need to be cleared and then preparing them for the next round of snow that we have coming our way tomorrow. So how many crews do you have out there right now? Right now, we have about one hundred trucks out treating and monitoring of about five thousand lane miles that we have from the king Pierce county line all the way to the Canadian border. Plus on top of that. We have our incident response teams, helping out Claire crashes. And then alongside our Washington state patrol. Also, given us a hand to and what's been the most troubling spots where you've seen the most difficulty. So in the last couple of hours. We've noticed a lot of more spinouts recently, not in any particular area. But just in general, and I think people are seeing the gray work that our crews have done keeping a lot of our highways, Barron. Wet maybe doing a little too.

"Too much for him himself. He held his ground. Well, I don't think he will antagonistic at all. And if I'm being one hundred fifteen handed if that with my child that's how I would like for them to react myself. Kevin. I said I said the same thing he, you know. In a situation. Like that. He even though he's standing there. He's crying out really for an adult somebody to come down there. And I just don't know where they were. I don't know where the adults were there. And I and and Kevin thanks for the call. I I just I I understand that. There's a fog when things start to get crazy and things get crazy. And a lot of things not just in the Washington DC area in situations. Like that you sixteen years old. I'm guessing sixteen seventeen years old it he was he was he was in a sense crying out for an adult. And there was no adult that came to like, hey, come on. Let's come on guys. Let's go. Let's go down this way. And just let it go. And then after that oil, you got us pictures of just a bunch of kids just just walking away and not what this thing, unfortunately degenerated into. But I I have a sense, and I don't have anything other than that. I don't have any any evidence or anything other than than just a sense. That when when when we get to the root of this. I think what we'll find is that that that this whole thing just kind of blew up in a heartbeat. But I saw nothing. Nothing. I mean, you could talk, you know, a kid was jumping up and down in the back or they were doing the Tomahawk chop or whatever. I saw nothing that would warrant expulsion from Covington Catholic high school and for anyone to suggest that before they had all the evidence in front of him. Is just inherently irresponsible. Say that again, you're responsible, and it's just bewildering how some people get to where they are in life and can act that capriciously in that era responsibly. It's it's it's it's beyond amazing. In lancaster. This is Rick. Rick welcome to the show. Thanks for taking my call. You bet Rick how things tonight. Everything's good. Good thirty five degrees. Can't complain. Anyway, I've got I've got two sons twenty six and twenty two my oldest graduated from that university in Athens in my twenty two year old graduates, the same university this man, you know, what that's called brick. That call good parenting. Thank you. Point is there's look at one thing is, you know, with the national press getting on this and out originally started, you know? In a blanket statement, first of all, and it's been covered in different ways. But where are the adults in this situation? Well, the kids didn't wake up that morning thinking, hey, I want to get into confrontation. And I guarantee you the black is an Indian banging the drum. I'm sure they woke up with a different. And you know. You can you can convict deep and say, well, this guy did this. This guy did this from Covington Catholic like it's been set all night. They're sixteen seventeen year old kids. I like to make another point. I heard on slowing. I think it was this morning. The Phillips guy was born in fifty five goes on a Vietnam veteran. Okay. And and if he is you know, that's great is I salute him for that. But that would have put him in Vietnam and Seventy-three when Nixon wasn't sending troops, and I'm not trying to lessen what he did. But I certainly hope that's just not something he said to get more attention while there's been some speculation it, and I haven't seen anything definitively. And again, I might have just missed it their right? But I haven't seen anything definitively that said that that guy was or was not a Vietnam combat veteran, but you're right in seventy three. Nixon wasn't sending anybody to Vietnam. Now. Absolutely not. And and I don't know how that got glossed over in the, you know, the national media. Well, anyway, Rick Nash, this whole thing about him trying to disrupt a Catholic mass on Saturday night in the basilica. I hadn't heard anything till I stumbled onto that about an hour ago that this is so obviously they were there for one reason they were gonna raise hell come hell or high water and the minute that that the minute that those kids wound up there would that guy. You could tell that his whole thing. He got booed at a Catholic mass on Saturday trying to do it. I don't know where else he was on the weekend. But he was going after them. He had no idea who they were. You just saw there were a bunch of kids and there were a bunch of cameras around him. And he said, you know, what I got the cameras rolling. This is what I want. Let's see if I can create some help. Yeah. Well, I'd like the deeper into that part of it because it's an insult to the men and women of this country that put their lives on the line, right? He wasn't there at a time of the war. Right. But but just do the math is what you're saying. That's well, I did that all three groups the black Israelites and Phillips and the kids all all woke up with different agendas. It's a great point Rick. Thank you for the call. Congratulations on sending your kids to the Harvard on the Hocking river. No. I think you're right there were there were there were three groups there in two of which were were there with an agenda and. And and it was a vortex. I can I mean, you could you could just see what we could just see what happened there and hindsight is twenty twenty you can say well, and I have said it couple of times tonight. The better part of all of this would have been to just let's move down here. And we'll leave you know, one of the guys behind one of the chaperones behind, and then when it's time to go, you, can, you know, we'll come back here and get on our buses that probably would have been the easiest way. But I, you know tonight, and I'm happy that the school is opening tomorrow because that tells me a couple of things one it'll be safe because the Kenton county sheriff's department, and the covenant police are not going to let it be any other way, they understand what they have to do and they'll do their job and to. It's time for cutting Catholic to get back to education, and and they must feel I don't know. But I think if you if you asked in the most candid moment the principle that school, and the teachers and some of the parents who are leaders here. They have to feel like they're on an island right now that there's just nobody here other than folks invoices on this radio station that's coming to their defense. That must be a terrible feeling. And. There were some really incendiary things said about them in those kids before all the facts were out from people that live work and are responsible for that school. It was just. It's just mind boggling it really is. But in this day and age, you know, if it's on Twitter. It must be true in this day and age if there are enough voices that are condemning people then it must be true. And of course, don't let the facts get in the way of good narrative. Good narrative. It's amazing though, all the people that were just dump it on the school and these kids back on Saturday. Where are they now have double down on it? But there are people that just basically want you to mention their name and steer you to their articles. That's what they want. They want clicks. You know, that's the most important thing anymore in newsrooms all across the country. It's not how many eyeballs are watching you clicks. Or you're getting on your website. And these this is click bait stuff. And so even if the story isn't true keep the narrative going because that will create cliques and when you get clicks. Well, then you can go to advertisers and say see all the people that are reading these stories. Well, hang on that story is not true while it doesn't matter. They're reading the story. It doesn't matter if you know, no, no, they're interested. The reading the story, and here's much hair. Here's how much we can charge. You to be be right there where they're clicking. It's all a game. It is eleven Twenty-three NewsRadio seven hundred wwl w you're talking about it. We're.

"Breed that every opportunity that that dairy farmers had to to improve their heard that that was the that was always the goal, you always were picking mates, and and you know, insemination partners that would that would give horses better better physical. How much of that goes into these decisions and at length the bone, and and you know, trying to add. Add. Height or or breath? The whatever it might be matching because you hit on when you hit on. On this aspect to me. And I'm curious how much of it is is just worrying about. Breeding better horse. Then then picking partners that are going to make for something either commercial or I mean how much of that figures into this decision making. You know, a lot of good breeders will take into account. The pedigree with the physical components to pedigree. Steed. Visit. Breeding that called officiant Sowell made which is essentially what that sounds like which is either pedigree or Zeke breeding two horses that are. So this similar that that it's called the fishing foul minute. Essentially, people are tried to breed may like something in the pedigree. They like the way the Nick is and so forth. And then they'll try to find. A lot of stuff that. Have similar components between the? Stallion than the there to try to capitalize. And some of the best parts why looking for other elements to add to what may be faults or lacking and the other one. So I think most people try to do that rather than just willy nilly bleed, or or do officiant foul that made ING which. You know, if that's pedigree wise could could. Bring you something if not predictable and same thing physically kid, you know. Breeding fifteen and there were seventeen Stang or something like that, you know and frequently you have to understand that even if you do breed to diggers big wish he doesn't necessarily need you to get bigger giant. Or like, why did you not smaller seas to each other necessarily mean you're going to get a run their similarities, and such example of the mating that was. Responsible for shepherds weld. Sire was knowing dancer, fifty two. Damn was. Fairbridge? Very small mayor. Probably fifteen hands the the result. But Sadler's Wells. He's probably about sixteen hands maybe shade under. But the types were fairly similar and the worst the phone was actually bigger than book Dan's very, similar and build if he were to take two dissimilar horses. You know, you could end up getting. I'm predictable. Really it. Just occurred to me. I mean, just because there's the other certain corrections or or attempts anecdotally mayor mayor that toes out if you do you go out of your way to to pair up pair her up to somebody very straight legged to try to you try to make some corrections..
