"Has found a Gaithersburg man guilty of driving drunk and killing a married couple. Prosecutors say 47 -year -old Davinder Singh hit 65 -year -old Miguel Antonio Ortiz and his 70 -year -old wife, Anna Garrida, while they were crossing the street. The Gaithersburg couple were on their way to a polling place at Fields Road Elementary School. This happened on Election Day, November 8th of last year. Singh faces just up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced. There is still a lot of work happening to clean up the damage left behind by Saturday's rough weather. Today DC's mayor walked along a hard -hit street in West. We've got team coverage tonight, starting with WTLP's Mike Murillo. While the city is responding to damage in all eight wards, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser says with the neighborhoods in this part of Northwest near American University. Let me be perfectly clear that this is where the damage is. The mayor toured 44th Street Northwest, which is still blocked by a massive downed tree. She says DDOT is helping with tree removal. Valencia McClure with PEPCO says the goal is to get everyone's power back on by tomorrow afternoon, but she cautions homeowners to not clear trees before crews check for live wires. There's a lot of that danger can come into play when you have a private contractor removing a tree before confirming that our team has been out. We have grounded the wires. And that's the same stretch where work was already underway. So, how soon before it reopens? Just the initial work should be completed in the next three or four days. It may be sooner than that. We're northbound traffic. It's going to be diverted onto Spout Run Parkway for at least the next couple of days. You can then access the GW Parkway north from Chain Bridge Road and take it up to the Capitol Beltway. Southbound the GW Parkway closed all the way from the American Legion Bridge to the Roosevelt Bridge making your first access point coming from Arlington Boulevard headed towards the district. Across the river into DC. Canal Road is closed west of Georgetown between Foxhall Road and Reservoir Road. That's forcing more traffic onto Foxhall Road and MacArthur Boulevard for those headed up towards the Maryland line. And once you cross over into Maryland on MacArthur Boulevard, there are two separate stoppages enclosures for downed trees. Those are between Mohican Road and Walhonding Road and between Maryland Route 188 and Bannockburn Drive. Also in Maryland right now on Route 50 East, we're seeing some work zones go into effect in Chevrolet. That work zone is causing vehicles to get by at the right lane. It's just after Route 202

We had a report on 66 Fuck your county. They were looking for disabled vehicle heading eastbound near Mile marker 14. So this would be well out of camera shot. If you are heading 66 out of from Royal passing mile marker, 14 stay alert, there might be a disabled vehicle. We're checking now on to the capital Beltway. No incidents. That's all the way around.
