"And I didn't blame Alvin a bit. He stepped off as we rode through some pre rough stuff, and when we came to the spot, it was brushy and about probably a three and a half foot drop of slick rock. Slanted real bad too, you know? Potential sliding down area, you know? Yeah. Man, I mean, I think any horse guy, mule guy would pride himself on not getting off. And so I would be in that category. But when I saw you get off, I went and looked it over and was like, you know what? I think I'll get off too, which is pretty rare. It's pretty rough little spot. So me and you just let your horse buy a meal down this little deal. And rod's coming up behind us on his Mustang. And I just know he's about to get off. And he doesn't get off and he does the man from snowy river deal off the off of this thing and lanes back and his back was on the bud of that horse and I was impressed. I was thoroughly impressed with that that you didn't get off your horse. That was probably just purely laziness on my part. He just didn't want to get off. Tell me about your horse. What kind of horse you got? I use a Mustang out of a range in Nevada. As we come out of here in a wild horse. The piper work, no. I've got two of them. But he was the piper work owner, says he was a four year old when they get their name off the range. And I've been using since he was about ten. I bought him, I bought him already broke from some more gas. That had actually been roping caves, only. And usually monarch ranch. But he's made a nice hunting horse. And he's actually on his way back from New Mexico Elk season right now on the second gun season, some boys borrowed him and took him out there. Really? Yeah. Is there a legitimate stuff about what those

"Tell me and sherry, never in my life have I heard sherri grig not talk in like a span as long as we've been here. So sherry, I need to hear from you too. There's two things that you should never put on social media. Two things. One of them is anything that has to do with beekeeping. Okay? If you have a beehive, keep it to yourself. All right. They will steal it. No, no. I mean, no, I don't know if they'll steal it. You will get more advice than you know what to do with. Passionate advice. Beekeepers are the most passionate people. They'll stalk you. They'll want to come to your house. They'll private message you from every angle possible to try to get you to tell you, you know, like this thing you're doing. They're passionate people. And then the other group is horse people, so I had a couple of videos, I mean, man, I had a ferrier that was coming to my house. He came probably four times. And just random times to put shoes on my meal when I was going out west. And he was a real nice guy, and he was just like, clay, you ought to be able to do this yourself. He said, I'll teach you how to do it. And so he just showed me how to trim her feet and had to put shoes on her a couple times and I just watched him and asked the questions. So ever since then, I've done it myself. Okay. And so I put randomly, we'll put a little video up of me trimming Izzy's feet. Right. And it's like the sky fail. People going wild. I need to show you that video. Tell me, if I'm making a train wreck.

"Crew got a junior's crew was very different. Gambino died back in 1976, and John Gotti was behind bars thanks to testimony from Sammy the bull gravano, but while he was away, his son John Gotti junior started to run the show and intimidating people like stratus who owned restaurants and nightclubs. This is back in the 90s. So John Gotti and his crew stratus says, that's what they lived on. They would shake down every restaurant from the upper east side to midtown. And as a new kid on the block, it was stratos turned to pony up some dumb. Or at least that's what two have Gotti junior's top honcho thought one night. And stratus was not a big dude, not a musculo, but didn't take any shit. He said, what do you guys want? And they said, we want 5000 a month. We're going to break you in those every week. All right, so let me give you a quick answer stratus says, go fuck yourself. That's how he was. He had no fear at all back then. A couple of nights later, someone starts throwing black paint on the dining windows every night. And stratus would go out and scrub them down each morning to make sure to have a nice and clean again for that night's business. Ralphie Coppola noticed this is happening. And he said to stress, sit tight. Don't worry about nothing. I got this. Two days later, transitive phone call from the Ralphie's guys. Tell them to come, they will restaurant called ferrier, very popular vistro called ferry on the upper east side. So when he gets there, Ralph is there with Bucky and all the Gambino composer in the back sitting around. So he sits down with Ralph and Bobby and the 5 heads of the Gambino family. And Ralph basically says to the guys in the Gambino crew, listen, this kid is with us, and you tell John Gotti junior tobacco. What for if he doesn't back off, this thing's gonna escalate. And stratus has said his head just spun around, like, you know, the guys turned around and said, all right, we like this kid. He's a good kid. Don't worry. We'll talk to John junior. We'll squash this and lo and behold, it was squashed. That's the kind of power Ralphie Coppola had back then. And just like that, and I know how this goes because I was put on this protection as well. Stratus was under the protection of the Genovese

"Okay. I like it. I like it. I like it. Well, I just thought I would bring that up because I'm going to keep trim on wheel feet. I've got to just got no choice, Korean. So let's do it. Put it out there. I imagine you got like the stall for holding their feet up and stuff so you're not just bent over the whole time. No, man, I'm just I'm doing like a lot of farriers do. Just put it up in between your legs and work it. Bad backs, buddy. Yeah, yeah. I don't it's not like I'm doing it every day, you know? Once every couple of months. You know what, clay, I got to tell you one last thing about that that I saw that video. And are you going to join the criticism? No, no. I don't know. I have zero opinions on the subject. Other than that, I have two friends that do that, but they're watching them do it. But I was watching, and it looked to me such confidence and fluidity, but I thought it must not be you. Oh, really? I thought it must be you filming your farrier. At first I was like, oh, clay is doing this to a horse's foot. And then I was like, I can't be clay. He's never said about how he's never said he's like way into that. And I was like, man, if you watched, if you watched a real ferrier, they would, they would be like so much more. And that's what the guys that were hacking on me. One guy was like, yeah, I remember what my first beer was like, that was his literal quote like he could say, yeah, you hadn't done this that much. Which is true. Right. But the tone of the conversation, the tone of the comment. Maybe be different if it were just like some Instagram pointers. Yeah, exactly. Guys like some pointers, maybe some education..

"Start out poorly, if that's the approach that's taken. And I'm sure there are some times when the failure thinks, well, what you're suggesting just doesn't make any sense to me and that can be hard too. It's what I'm seeing intuitive that can be a struggle as well. Right. Right. Well, I mean, I think the basis of any good relationship, whether it's a client with the vet to failure any sort of team, even outside of the horse world, open communication and dialog is extremely important. I'm lucky personally to have one of the vets that I use up north the. I have my farrier, you guys know each other very, very well. And you guys, I'm just, I'll mention something to both of you and then you guys have an open dialog, and then all of a sudden my horse is fixed. I wish it was that easy. Sometimes. But just that open dialog is just I believe extremely important. And that egos don't get in the way as well. Oh, that never happens. That never happened. So I'm going to be that person. I'm going to ask one question too many. So you have a client comes to you with horse hoof problem or lameness problem that involves a hoof? That you can say to yourself and to the client is like, oh, that's we're pretty darn sure that's caused by what's going on with how the failure is trimming, balancing chewing the horse. How do you deal with that conversation? Because sometimes what they're doing with the horse is, oh, that's not what this horse needs. Right, right. One thing I can say, yeah, that is a hard situation. One of the things that is helpful is looking at radiographs. I like to look at radiographs with barriers. Some of them have more interest in others. But I do think that. The benefits from seeing internally what's going on to make a modification to what's the way the horse is being shot to be beneficial. So if I'm able to meet with this face to face in front of the horse and take some radiographs, they don't have to be extensive. Usually two views of each front photo just to view that the foot and concern to look at the balance, maybe the foot to say, hey, this is what's going on internally. And this is what we see externally. Now that you've seen this, do you think some modifications can be made? And frequently, I think they benefit from that knowledge to look at that in front of them to look at the radiograph right there and look at the foot and say, yeah, okay, I think I can do this or that. And that's an educational process for everyone, because sometimes I'm surprised at what I see, usually I'm like, I think I have an idea what I'm going to see. But periodically, I'm like, wow, it's not what I expected. And maybe everyone's a little surprised. Well, you can do the same. And I do it all the time, right? It doesn't get an opportunity to do that very often to radiographic to see the video after the holidays working on. That prompts the next question. What percentage of the time when somebody comes to you with a horse that you're doing a lanus exam on? And you say, okay, we need to investigate the hoof. And you do x-rays. What percentage of the time do you take an x-ray and then you look at the x-ray and then you look at the hoof, the external appearance. And the two don't line up. What you see on the inside and what you see on the outside shouldn't be in the same hoof. How often does that happen? I think infrequently, I think usually, and I think that's because the hoof wall usually sort of what's going on externally in the hoof wall, sort of reflects what's going on. Internally, usually, not always. I still have to say just recently I was really surprised when I read you have to put it as saw something as this didn't expect at all. There was a sudden change in the horses seat and I really couldn't expect it or predicted that. But I think for the most time, what's going on externally when you look at the hoof wall reflects what's going on internally. But I think having that information through a radiograph can really help us there are a lot, especially if maybe they're not doing what they even would like to do because of concern about what is going on internally like sometimes we're I think farriers can be cautious about what they're doing because they're concerned that they may be doing too much of something. And too little because they don't have the imaging to make bigger changes. And sometimes when they see that, see, okay, I have room here to work. I can do this or I can do that. I think that can be helpful and also rather than me saying, oh, you should be doing it this way, or I think this thing needs to change. It's nice for us to look together at what's really going on and then make an assessment rather than just two people looking into something, it's like two people looking at a piece of art and saying, oh, I like this, or I don't like that. But if it's literally black and white on a radiograph, it makes it a little bit easier to negotiate. To come to a consensus about what needs to be done. So when you have a client who has a failure that's going to work with you as a vet, do you often have the failure come and do work on the horse at the clinic so you can have a before and after or is it usually you send them a home with instructions? If I have a lamest evaluation in my clinic and I think it ends up being in a foot and there's some changes in showing that need to occur could occur, then I'll usually just call the barrier and say, hey, can I send you some radiographs? This is what I found. This is what I saw. Open up the dialog. And the interesting thing about that is may suggest something that they've already tried. And they're like, well, we tried that. We tried that at the horse didn't tolerate it or we can't do that because of session such management issue. So that's where it opens up that dialog. But I also will if barriers one that I've worked with are mutual client. Meet them at the farm, if I can and review the radiographs with them. And maybe repeat the radiographs while after they've trim the horse, but before the shoes applied. So that they can see what their accomplishing. That's also really useful for the ferrier end of that to say, hey, this is what we have now. They do the trim, take another radiograph. Look at immediately and say, this perfect or gosh feral say, I think I can do some more. I can make some bigger changes here. We still have room to work, or I'd like to see this a little bit differently. And then I might do a little bit more work. And then maybe be done there, take another radiograph. And that's not common that we do that, but I think it really can be educational for everybody. So when you are doing through this process, and you have the ferrier and the veterinarian working together, do you more often have changes in what shoe or how she was applied or do you more often have changes in the balance of the trim before or instead of issue being applied?.

"Amend. We're not talking. We're on a nice little horse trail like when you and i go fish into a lake. Where years her nice gravel path you know maybe a log here and there no. It's every step is off balance off kilter going over log stepping in a mouse hole or trip an honest dick. There's you're always on in vegetation always on brush and so having your hands free especially as we get into more that technical climbing hiking stuff was kinda cool to snow to to follow the oaken. Really learn how they're using the country they use ten percent of it now. They're in one hundred percent of it but they really utilize ten percent of that square mile or ten square miles there in there in one square mile of ten square miles. But you've got to go through all ten square miles to find that little nook and cranny that they're kind of -habitating so one suggestion. I've said this before is l. kind of need three things to live. They need food water and shelter fi. Find two of those. You've got him same thing as fire. Fire needs fuel oxygen. Ignition you take to those away. You can't have fire but if you have to. You can have fire for a limited time so there's a correlation there of if you find too don't worry about the third one year between either where they're going to bend where they're going to eat or they're going to eat and where they're going to drink so it was everybody in camp was rockin abo- spider and i mean. I don't think they were rocking them just to please my ego. It's because it really is a tool that is that useful. Oh it's better than carrying around in your hands so if you guys are out there and you are interested after hearing all that go to bow spider dot com. You can pick up your very own boast butter. You can get some extra receivers seek a few extra spots and yeah see. How much of a game. Changer it is for you. So i packed my primary boma backup bow to receivers on both headrests and my backup. Bo is a ten year old bow. But it's one that i've kept around shoot well and you know if i was to have any sort of equipment malfunction instead of. Hey i gotta go town go bo shop or go to oppress or whatever. Now it's grab the other bo. That's tuned up ready to go. You know it's it'd be like going fishing with one fish and polar too right. Yep yeah. I always take it back up just in case but you're talking about horse rex Want to transition to that a little bit and horse adventure stuff so tell me. Tell me what happened with horses this year. Well three years ago. I got a bunch of these horses and Got the round pan started doing quite a bit of work in the spring. I was still in college. Both spider hadn't started up in full yet. And so i spent quite a bit of time spring in the round pen with all of them. Just just going through basics putting the pack saddle on putting some pandered on them and getting them tuned up and ready right in summertime. We did a few pack trips with some young men and did some other stuff and got a mountain used them and we didn't have any issues like really any so to speak the last two years. I've had zero time in the spring and summer to really spend with horses right. So it's made it was a scramble. Just to get shoes on this year and i drag my feet on getting a farrier and miscommunicated with another ferrier and it just didn't get the pig to the zoo so to speak and i ended up getting to put shoes on which was a good skill learn. I'm glad i did. It bought all the equipment. And it's if i ever throw a shoe. I feel very confident that i mean those shoes that i put on the horses are still on there and none are lame. So now i wouldn't recommend everybody go out and do it took a lot of i've been Annoying my farrier. For almost three years of just when he comes i'm grabbing my nipples in my file and in his way more than anything. But like i said it's to the point. Now can i do it. Yes do i want to know but back to horses. Didn't get put in the round pen. This spring i think i grabbed the horses two times and went riding through my boy on one and through on the other one we went in the arena and writing for an hour. Each time right. That's not a lot of saddle time for a year. So we we ended up getting two bowls rifle season and horses are still there. So i'm gal run and grab him ran and grabbed him road all the way in the trail and it was. It was awful nice to been hiking and now this trail for weeks now days at least to ride in a minute took me what was about an hour hour and a half i. It took me fifteen minutes right now. The i sweated the horse up a little bit. But it's pretty nice to not use your two feet and use somebody else's four feet to especially you know you're climbing a couple hundred feet here and there and when we're when you're climbing a couple hundred feet that doesn't sound bad right well when you're at eighty eight to ninety one. It's there's not much air up there. Patrick how we got into these two bowls and it's twelve bags of meat in. Oh eight quarters and then the back straps and then all the neck in brisket meat and so we got all these packs and yes. A seasoned horse can definitely pack a whole elk by itself for very short distances. I wouldn't be going over technical trails and doing twelve miles in doing that day. In and out but we're talking three or four miles. Yeah horse could do especially on cattle trails. That are pretty untechnical for horse technical for you and me but you know they're they're more athletic than you know we we loaded up the you know and doubled up quarters on each one put horns on one and then we put some some bags of meat on us and started leading amount because we just had the two well when we first i got one. The tafera been Well i think taff crazy too but it just it. It needs more time. But they're also they're just get a good quarterhorse and they're they're pretty pretty straightforward sound. Not super spooky. You know you you. Can you can mess up around him. And they just kind of tolerate it the arabs you crinkle a can or a bag wrong in their their bucket. All the way down the hill discussed they feel like it. So we had a little bit of a rodeo. Just trying to get meet loaded up and tore one of the the pack bags right there so that made it even more difficult. Because now we've got you know. Got four pan yards while ones torn. And so we're trying to repair it and get kinda double the load i would normally put and just for everybody listening what i would normally do is put the fronts in two pan yards and then i take each one of those bags. I take one bag and put the neck meet and all the extra burger in any other meat brisket meat in there an app pretty much offsets the backdrops and tenderloins. And so i put those two bags in the two fronts on one and then i'll put the hindquarters and the horns on the other and go out with no meat on my back and that's that's ideal in this situation. We doubled up on it. Oh we put a set of hines and a set of fronts on one and we put a set of hines and to meet bags on the other and horns will that left one set of horns and two front shoulders that win in our backpacks so were walking out. You know we're loaded with a front. It's not it's not crushing. But it's you know you're talking fifty five sixty pounds for a front quarter. Plus whatever is in your back back to start with so you know in my backpack ranges in the twenty five thirty five pounds. So you're you're going out with eighty five pounds on your back seventy if you're lucky but eighty pounds and it can be. It can be daunting you know you need you need tracking.

"And how. How did you get into that if you went from soil science to to be in a part time barrier. How did how did that trying to say. That's how he was trying to save money. Well that depth ultimately what got me farther into it. I've actually been around horses My entire life I have family members that that raised. Lusa horses My step father and his father had draft horses and drought cross horses for driving horses And as a young man Proud thirteen fourteen years old. We had the broodmare band and there weren't a lot of barriers. That would come and do broodmares. So i learned how to to trim broodmares To help save money and of course to do something. Nice for the horses and and i did that for a lot of years and then when we got together and got married we were in a situation Several times i guess where reliable good barriers may not always be available and to do that. I just had to learn and try to try to do a better job And to keep our own horses golan and then you pick up some other people that here. Oh you know our ferrier moved away we need somebody to come and do this or i do quite a few old horses that you know. Take a lot more time so a person that's doing it full time. You know they may not be able to put the time and effort in to an old horse where i can. I have another job. I'm not doing it for a living. can can spend more time with those horses And of course. I do hours and it definitely helps When you've got a few extra feet in a barn. So did wanda ever cop to the fact that it was your own manliness that that attracted her to you I'm hoping it was my intelligence and my good looks but probably strong back week mind. "And branded wild donkeys. And you said. Would you like to help us with the donkey's after the class. And i. yeah. But i've never worked with a donkey. So what are we gonna do. Well i have not much experience with donkeys either so that was all Learning experience for all of us. So i have to say. Don't he's definitely a different than training horses. You have to be really aware of the freeze moments so they kind of well explain that because i know when we were going to. Of course you know. You've got the horses fighter. Flight and donkeys have an additional fight flight and freeze. Maybe explain that a little bit. Well horses do have it as a little this freezing moment before they make the decision if they showed fight or take off. I think every writer knows that when it's like okay the moment to breath out and kind of go on for the next step but the donkeys do that extremely. I mean they were chest frozen we said like the one is playing invisible. If i don't move. If i don't do a move 'em you won't be seeing me so that was quite funny. You know to observe this behavior because t- did not even fling is when you started to touch him in the beginning But yeah i mean we got to the point where we could attach all over the bodies in the shoot and then get the harder on but definitely a modest freezing. A mood is something extreme in the donkeys which i have not seen that much In horses i will tell you that She says we need to get these donkeys feet trimmed and the ferrier's coming on friday and and I i i'm gonna tell you they look adorable and they're so cute with their giant ears and it looked so sweet but dear god that hind end compact a punch. "Last year's cancellation was tough. So the news that this year's games would go ahead prompted elation and anxiety fans wondered if the host city was fully prepared and the athletes wondered. If they'd still be able to recover their fitness. ooh dig deep within themselves and throw one kind of pudding. At a bunch of different puddings after year off due to cova this year's world black pudding throwing championships in ramsbottom. Uk were a smashing success and the winner was twenty eighteen champ. Yup say with me. Andrew ferrier of course Guys legend. Now we all know every single thing about the world black pudding throwing championships or wb ptc as we call them. But i have a few seconds to fill so for that reason. Only i'll explain contestants in the wb p. c. Throw a black pudding which is not a pudding. But a sausage made of blood. Fat and oats at several stacks of yorkshire puddings which are not puddings but sort of savory baked puffs of dough. Whoever knocks most yorkshire puddings off a tall plinth with a black pudding thrown underhand. Of course wins. It's the sporting event of every year but this year in particular. Was it the joy of watching pure athletic achievement. Or was it the relief that they pulled it off. Well as anyone. About.

You don't tell your kids your plans because a screw up before kids and by the way toys and legos are everywhere. It's just like the hey is everywhere. So i mean when you step on them and nothing pisses you off like stepping on a lego. There's just something about you just want to hit the wall. 'cause you wanna hurt something more than your foot nuts so your horse always need something new. Well that's true kids too so you're right fun stuff for horses fun. Buying for kids is tedious godmother backpack. Why do you keep scrolling on the ground messing up your pants too short again. What's what's no no just where my you'll realize how little you actually know about horses. Well you go through. Look we doing this. Yes that ferrier the right ferrier the right vet all of the right people the right track call my vet and my barrier. My team and so in horses come for training. I'm like. I looked up by the team and finally how much is cost. I don't think anybody you know when you get into horses. They're always encouraging. I don't think somebody actually says you know the rest of your income for your entire lights going here and you will not have retirement fund at all when you know what that's true tells you had you warn you. Purchase prices nothing but then again. I can't understand how people for kids because true. They're always needing some and they go to. They go to school and they need stuff. It's only had one gun can't imagine doing that for multiple. Imagine her friend carey with ten. I don't know how she did. You must do the hand-me-down thing. How else would you do with ten kids. I always tell people that. I have that many children i say to you know are multiple children. Also you do know how that happens right. Yeah she's been told that that's one of the things. She was so sick of hearing so she was sick of hearing and she adopted a couple. Why is it the ones that always have seven always adopt three couple mar just saints. Is it like it is with horses. We say you know once you hit the three the work doubles and then when you hit the seven the work doubles but you know once he hit twelve or thirteen. Yeah them working for you now..

So maybe <Speech_Female> i didn't know what it looks like <Speech_Male> life but <Speech_Female> it just looks <Speech_Female> like the most <Speech_Female> fun because every <Speech_Female> what is it a couple of <Speech_Female> months. You mean a whole <Speech_Female> bunch of people <Speech_Female> sometimes. The chemistry <Speech_Female> is amazing. And it's like <Speech_Female> you working with <Speech_Female> this incredible family <Speech_Female> and <Speech_Female> you're around and <Speech_Female> seeing the most beautiful places <Speech_Female> it does seem like an <Speech_Female> incredible life <Speech_Female> but do you age <Speech_Female> out of it is at <Speech_Female> the kind of thing that does <Silence> have a shelf <SpeakerChange> life. <Speech_Female> Yeah <Speech_Female> definitely <Speech_Female> and i think <Speech_Female> i was. I <Speech_Female> think you know even <Speech_Female> view is on below debt. <Speech_Music_Female> Could say their loss <Speech_Female> kind of she is. <Speech_Music_Female> I was really just <Speech_Female> getting to <Speech_Female> the end of my <Speech_Female> temper. <Speech_Female> And <Speech_Female> i probably just needed <Speech_Female> a break. <Speech_Female> You know <Speech_Female> i would. Not i would <Speech_Female> never say that like i would <Speech_Female> have grown helpfully <Speech_Female> out or <Speech_Female> something like that <Speech_Music_Female> in the caribbean if he <Speech_Music_Female> needed somebody <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> but <Silence> <Advertisement> i think <Silence> <Advertisement> that <Speech_Female> i personally <Speech_Female> wall <Speech_Female> on. I stole <Speech_Female> the kind of <Speech_Female> forty five fifty <Speech_Female> year old chase. <Speech_Female> Geez <Speech_Female> you know. Sitting <Speech_Female> in south of france <Speech_Female> just <SpeakerChange> might <Speech_Music_Female> of them are like alcoholics. <Speech_Music_Female> <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> They just cutting <Speech_Female> their way <Speech_Female> through life. And <Speech_Female> i just went <Speech_Female> like i'm night that i <Speech_Female> don't wanna do that <Silence> so <Speech_Female> it's <Speech_Female> It would definitely <Speech_Female> had <SpeakerChange> a shelf <Silence> life of maine. <Speech_Female> And so actually. <Speech_Female> That's where ocean <Speech_Female> internationals waiting <Speech_Male> one before away. Because <Speech_Male> essentially gets your <Speech_Female> your kind of <Speech_Female> reclaiming <Speech_Female> the best feelings <Speech_Female> of it and sharing <Speech_Female> that with <Speech_Female> so i guess <Speech_Female> again <Speech_Female> rather than looking back <Speech_Male> and thinking about <Speech_Male> all those last few years <Speech_Female> your most <Speech_Female> recent memory <Speech_Female> memories <Speech_Female> of getting people <Speech_Female> started <SpeakerChange> and seeing <Speech_Female> them enjoy it which is <Speech_Female> really nice. Yeah <Speech_Female> no <Speech_Female> it is. It's <Silence> just. <Silence> <SpeakerChange> I <Speech_Female> i <Speech_Female> actually <Speech_Female> think <Speech_Female> the gods <Speech_Female> every day <Speech_Female> that <SpeakerChange> i started <Speech_Female> that because <Speech_Female> especially as <Speech_Female> low to guy from <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> someone like may <Speech_Female> who was constantly <Speech_Female> moving around the world <Speech_Female> and i always <Speech_Female> had things on <Speech_Female> to just being at <Speech_Female> home with the child <Speech_Female> is really <Speech_Female> massive. Change <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> so the fact that <Speech_Female> i feel like. I'm <Speech_Female> still contributing. <Speech_Female> Do the <Speech_Female> yawning community <Speech_Female> to society. <Speech_Female> In general <Speech_Female> i still have like <Speech_Female> a purpose that he's <Speech_Female> not just mahba <Speech_Female> and <Speech_Female> that's <Speech_Female> really important <Speech_Female> for my mental <Speech_Female> being as <Speech_Female> well. I like <Speech_Female> my students. Do <Speech_Female> as much as <Silence> i do for them. <Speech_Female> And that's <Speech_Female> something <Speech_Female> that. I really <SpeakerChange> appreciate <Silence> every day. <Speech_Male> These <Speech_Female> have been wonderful. <Speech_Female> Habits like loved them <Speech_Male> and obviously listen as the <Speech_Female> links to everything we've discussed <Speech_Male> including ocean <Speech_Female> international. <Speech_Female> You wanna get coach by hannah. <Speech_Male> Then the <Speech_Female> the link <Speech_Female> to find out more <Speech_Female> we'll be in the show. <Speech_Female> Thank you so <Speech_Female> much for joining me and <Speech_Female> for sharing <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> uso. <Speech_Female> Welcome <SpeakerChange> thank you <Speech_Music_Female> for having me.

"Readily think past getting that massive sum of money. Because if you don't have anything to white out for it in the morning then you you have to do like such day reflection and find something that really makes you happy that you don't have to do for money. You've it's it's. I don't know i just i honest to go never meant that many happy billionaires interesting that is yeah donating fascinating. I took about rabbi sean. Let's move onto your fifth and final of it. My fifth and final is definitely my number one and it is the best feel-good habit and that is handling and sniffing my daughter. She's i don't know how i did this. I created the most uncoupling baby. She she just has no interest. She just wax you at my trying keystone. She pushes neo. squatting me probably because i do all day every day i'd probably be annoyed as well but she 'em when i have based times. She's finally still she just snuggles into be it's like my utopia iraq said that is definitely my novel up did you. I mean so you said eddie about about that. You went to the gym because you. I'm going to wait and you were pregnant did you. Did you want to have children for a long time. I guess because of the lifestyle i had. I really put it out my mind. Because i think that it's very easy to kind of hit your thirties as a woman and stress out a little bit and then suddenly you know. You're you've got kids with some that you wouldn't have even had a second date with in your twenties. It's i just kind of. I had some complications. When i was young. And i kind of of taste with at about twenty four. That if it didn't happen naturally. I'd work that you know with adult shin or the sites it wasn't Flea planned or expected But it was definitely the exact riot by ended our lives spread to happen on that lovely but listen as you have to have his instagram because there are some cute cute picks. Yes shave gorgeous. I am. I'm not really like it's hard when she's the looks but she really is she despite on now you've got you've got a lot going on as well so i know you habit is obviously. You're good daughter. We've also got these other things going on at the same time so you started a business. That is six months pregnant. Yeah i mean way to take on when you re. I always say i was like that. Was that second trimester. Have you got children nine. So the first trimester is disgusting. And in the second trimester you just like emerge from this. Cocoon morning sickness in your life. My body is a temple. I feel amazing. And so i started the business. Then but then third trimester you. I just like the size of the small house and everything sucks and but then trenice to hannah had like backup everything second trimester. Hannah's thought it was a lot but it was. It's it's basically so it's quotation international training academy and it was started because i had so many messaging me all the time how to get into the yachting industry so i decided to kind of make online courses and then kind of coach people Bai xue how to join yachting. And it's been amazing actually because coming from me. Shane like you get a lot of job satisfaction from yachting that i kind of five to six years because the adrenaline and you're traveling in new places in and then the same thing happened with below deck. I hadn't had a lot of job satisfaction in a few years so actually taking paper from wondering about your day and then now seeing them actually working on by traveling the world and they came from like a tiny town in ireland is just amazing. It's definitely a passion passion project. And it's like i have one of my students who is like one of my very best the other day and he got his first job in light josh Like.

"Something about that. I the makes you think right. It's like you call talk to me. Because i'm inebriated beth for i caught work and it's this way thing and we were talking about it today. It's such a mental thing as well because if you have a win in the day i don't know why but they really feel like a glass of wine sparkling at the end of the day because we reward win reward and way had lex of good news today and it was like normally would let who champions in the fridge for off to what kind of thing and i was like. Oh we're not doing math. So it's that lack k. Great let seats and seven in birth lenience instead dinner. It's funny of rebecca ceo previous podcast guests came on recently and she said that she and her husband have a rule they both work from home and they implemented a no alcohol in the week rule. But you get to play a joke card. If you want to like for a special casual what have you. And i thought it's like he was thinking about cheat days. It's actually quite to say. This is the rule because we know it's good for us but they're all going to be days when it's going to be like a wasted opportunity. So yeah now i know i just think me and my husband like wine so much. Who disliked like joe catch. Be like you've played it three times and it's wednesday right got you understood actually. Do you have a preferred type of wine or champagne sale lab. I fell in love with sunset in france and ninety one. People know some sarah australia because we have such good seven young blunts coming out of new zealand But yeah that's definitely one of my go. Choose and then. I love new zealand. Seven young blunck's And i'm kind of that's kind of my white wine preference and then at champaign. It's really difficult. Because i worked on the yachts the so long like way would just we. We searched spoiled. Like a chata would finish may would like leave like a case of dunk perignon and you just be sitting there drinking that lot while you were working and you live. Why am i drinking on the dila. Champagne like while entering provisioning list. You know it's a very good bottle of irvine. Their take the apparent. So something. I've wanted that about about below deck and i have thought it must. I've often said my job is a beady editor. So i would get taken around the world although these tricks and it would be fantastic but it was like the champagne lifestyle shandy pockets go home to like a one bedroom place with very great facilities and you really do learn about the nice things. Go to a nice dinner. The estimate algae about good wine. And you can't you can't unlearn those. Not then you go and try and replicate it by popping around the corner to the off licence and you just don't quite get it right. Do you know that they same experience. Exactly did you feel that you you really gotta taste for the finer things in life on the odds. Yeah i think. I'm before. I before i was in yachting. I was always kind of a very life. I love my restaurants. I love good wines and things like that but then soupy open you up to this whole the world. That is just so over the talk. So i think that that was difficult. But then you brought it belie deck. Which was this other side of like been. Suddenly you're new york doing talk shows and stuff that's even this other crazy like entertainment world so it's like we have the superior to the money and then the entertainment with all the like celebrities and stuff like that. But i think to be honest with you. Even though i did it for such a long time i was always very aware of how deeply unhappy most of my guess what so that i worked for like lot of russian and a lot of those russians got money and really bad. Why is united are. It's like you know you didn't you not have billionaire because us donald. Something worked really hard at an accomplished it. You know. I think at the end of the day when you've got that inside you still. I think you can still look in the mirror and guy lack k. I'm a good person. So i sleep well at night. You know you've done it. Even not nice way so i always used to watch them because we have security cameras and it was like when they were potty with the goes or things like that it would be all fine but if you watch them and i get up in the morning and have coffee something they just sit there instead and you can see. They're just not happy people. So i was always able to separate money. Glamorous side from what truly makes you happy in life so and my husband is a very good shifts so he can do cook recent wagons. Could you chose very very well. That's interesting because i think that kind of money in lifestyle can be quite seductive and it can look so appealing and so actually the fact that you're able to sort of take a step back and say it isn't what it's cracked up to be. I think that's quite astute. Yeah well you know what the funny thing is is like way you know. We were buying a house at the moment in student. So you basically need to be a billionaire to buy here. It's ridiculous but Josh into the lottery the other day for eighty million rows like. Aw wouldn't wanna win that much. Who said what do you mean. I was like no no no. I'd like to win like five million because that means that you know you can go buy a house. You got a little extra cash that acting paypal.

"I love it i. That's a great one to begin. So what is habit number two. I'm probably my best habit which i found really interesting. Because avis picked it up already is like legitimately. This is my desk. And i hydrate. I'm lack. I will be three leaders and like you go. Look at that one of us each. I'm sharing. i'm showing how to my master's my massive and i would want to having. Yeah so that. It's so funny. Because i have always. They'd like that. Even if i go to a bar i have a glass of water with everything. I have one or two bottles of water around me at all times. And it's so funny 'cause i picked it up from maybe from having such a baby and may just just constantly thing may say now when i drink my one about oh she gets and she had like math and i or my what about she drinks for mind and hose these days that she's obsessed with water and i just i personally feel like i had. I really gave my body around for its money and it's twenties. It was like embry thing that you shouldn't do. It was like the traveling constantly always in the sun. Smile king during king. It was just and i feel like the only reason i look black and old lady shade is because i have always drunk so much so that is definitely a good habit but so were the interesting one because i fall into that other category. I'm one of those people you can forget and then i'm like what is my through. Feel so drag. And then. I'm like ben i get that big old gallon thing and i started neck it but you've just always been able you just you quite sounds like a weird thing but i've always wondered with people who are able to drink a lot. Are you you aware of how thirsty while. What do you dislike the taste. It's just i think. Probably because i'm so in the habit again like when i'm not. I'm really feeling so eighty-five lack wherever. I am in the house whether it's on the couch on sating either. There is just a water bottle next to me. It's just such a habit now. I didn't even really know i'm doing that. And i think especially if you get a little bit older. He really does help when you've had a few wise you know the next day if you've been hydrating the whole time. Yeah that's very true. I've got. I've got to that age. Where i just can't even drink wine any more. I think about the news of drinking rosaiah white wine and distant and now it's even the sniff of it sometimes can bring on a headache. Oh my gosh. I hope that near that never happens. I wish that for you too. I wish you to always be able to tell you why. I'm okay where we've habit number three so i did write them down so the first one way gonna be exercising becca one. Hydration the third one. I would definitely say it's eating healthy with shaved is who's i think that healthy eating amazing about Soza cheeseburger so. I think that balance because well you just so i had my first sheet day yesterday in a few weeks and i went to my local bucket. She can play which is amazing. Gonna chicken burger and fries. And i was like he's amazing and it was a real trait. 'cause you not just eating it whenever you know so. I think that's inhabit as low. I think i think as well. Yeah otherwise it can be too restrictive if you just think this is if you are reaching quite lean and maybe you're missing some flavor to nut to not know that there's any on the horizon can be quite demoralizing and also just like i closely with with the kind of diet i went like be nice to yourself like go. Choose you know the deli love and spend the eleven realism salads. Who's just getting started. You know how to make as many grants and stuff. Even though you're eating healthy it can still be tasty. And i think that's the that's the cake because when you're eating bland food i come to that. Are you like the caught ask. Do you have d. make solid now and you put them in a big tupperware and shape them. I can see the conduct. She's i do. Not but i also would never have occurred actually in body side. Maybe that's why if you shake your salad. I that's what it does to shake your green leaves with a little bit of dressing and that's the thing i like it. Yeah so do you but do you find as well because you all. I'm doing quite intense exercise that you have to. Maybe you have to. Maybe what you cheat days around. When you're exercising middleburg all dachshund izing hard. Then i just. I really really want something substantial afterwards see. I'm the exact opposite when i do like the next week workout. I just want to be salad or something off to it. And it's always i'm i'm a asaka full badge food if i've had a few drinks the night of full because it just goes handed and bats. I think that's habit number. Four is stopped drinking in the wake who interesting So i've done that and it's really hot because once again. It's the same with the food. Like i would not just never think about it. Lack i would always go. I'd be like oh. I've got fact him forecasts for gossip line and going to the podcast and i think when you're not thinking about it maybe not. Everyone does this. But i sent me would is. It's just so easy to go like. Oh another glass and then a gopher nicole so you have another glass and it's just when you're not being aware of it. It is really easy to especially in lockdown. Because it's that lack either like the Not mess in so boring that by five pm. I really wanted last wine just to like make things a little facia take the edge. Yeah everything's just like solid lines right now. I need some fuzzy. It's kind of sorry. It's such a good point. Having having and also i think it sort of having gloss of alcohol having a glass of wine makes you think. I'm kind of.

Because i'm at that stage in out like having to be very aware about changing my habits to stay in good mental state was like. Oh this is perfect. Because you're a very very busy women so a lot of people may not from below deck are also a businesswoman. Your i mean. I would say that you would influence. You have an incredible instagram feed. So you have a low going on plus you on so that you have some really. I'm guessing that you have some quite very good habits. The crossover all of those things. Where are we beginning. I would probably say that a good place to start is probably the last few weeks for me. I i personally never felt life. I wanna choose bounce that to my old buddy immediately after giving birth on you know when nine months in and i'm still you know. Two sides is bigger. Than i was before i guy. It's like begging you mom. It's really hot and i think that women should with that kind of pressure on themselves on top of getting used to something that has just completely shifted and changed. It's how you feel at your mental state unite. And i think so often. It's a life of a diet and exercise. Because i need to get into this dress now. It's you know when life is busy. You really wanna just feel the best kind of that. You can so it have to do that. That kind of healthy aiding exercise people have been telling me for years. I thought it was bullshit. Douwe and i don't ever talk if i'm gonna do something i just stopped. And then i get a little obsessive about it so just go on full-fledged it's the same like all you weighing yourself i just i can feel muscle memory starting to rebuild and on so happy and united so good for either as low as to be around. That kind of positivity in energy all the time so i. I think i'd be the first my hand up regard like it was probably not started. Look down at sei ordering a saying you know what she next lakes when she's nap pig and doing all these things and then it was like actually joshua's you can put it down for knack to ten k. We'll come back because you know he's in the house so take advantage of that. So the stuff so. I think that spain a massive change in the past kind of three four weeks van. I'm really feeling the difference. It's it's a good one as well. Because i think a lot of questions i get is about motivation. How'd you debated. How do you stay motivated. Anita said you're an all or nothing and a you able to just flipped your head space. As soon as you make a decision you can just execute almost dislike sharing yet an idiot and it's our and before that it was just like kind of ate what you want. Do what you want. They really liked that. Admit now i'm just that joshua psych about covered full of like plant based snacks. I'd like to say healthy nutritious and delicious on it went from light chocolate chips to like roasted almonds. Nice do you make a plan. D make a plan or do you kind of fundamentally know what works ebay that you just have to get up and walk a bit more every day. I we were in lockdown but were allowed to try one on one so my i have a studio here that i'd i'd say that i actually thought going to when i was putting on weight when i was pregnant. Oh it's just no christmas okay. But it's my time. Said they do a lot of core exercises and things like that then. A lot of boxing and south defense And i love the unlike you like when i work Palabras for the girlfriend online. Just like. I'm just get nothing from that. If i wanna like danish the workout and like feel like i'm about to throw off the coveted sweat so that kind of high energy boxing king and also you really feel like you're learning skill at the same time and i love that with workouts where you're leading how to defend yourself how to punch properly. This movie's twelve years old now or whatever it is back then twenty percent of the cars on the road were still stick shifts or whatever but if you had a stick shift you push pop the clutch. On the ledge of rock above this strange couple there stood three solemn buzzards who at the site of the newcomers uttered raucous screams of disappointment and flapped sullenly away.
