"Geico. FX studios and this is a baseball our the Dodgers are into the Final four. They bludgeoned the bod race. This was no contest. See yet again. I remember reading a study years ago that said Like 85%, or 80% of the things you worry about in live don't actually happen or they're not that bad. Like I was thinking. The Dodgers were in some trouble here that San Diego was the The team had the razzle dazzle going in and Fernando titties, junior and whatnot, and that man there another pitching was messed up. But the Dodgers have lost the teams that had messed up pitching in the past in the post season, So I was I was a little concerned, well queasy about the Padres to me. They were the second best team in the National League going into the postseason. And the Dodgers later can of whup ass on the Padres. Those fish tacos are not gonna taste very good. Will Smith get jiggy with it? The offensive dynamo was not Mookie Betts. Although he wasn't bad it was night when everyone seemed to have a good day. But will Smith and a Dodger franchise record? Not just in L. A Dodger franchise record eight entire dodging about their days in Brooklyn? Five hits. This guy had three R B eyes and Los Angeles put San Diego into a body bag. They're done. Their season is now over. But bye. See you later. The Padre pitching malfunctioned and then some, so Siri's that I was concerned about. Turned out to be a domination situation. How much of a domination situation it was only a three game set. Scheduled for as many as five and the Dodgers outscored the Friars the blue crew outscoring the Friars 23 to 9. And some of those runs were gifts because of Kenley Jansen having pooped the bed there in game number two..

"Diamondbacks in the Rockies aren't the threat People in L. A have known for probably a year and a half for two years and eventually the Padres with their farm system. We're going to be the problem. I don't think many people in L A and certainly nationally anticipated the Padres would be a problem today. Remember the Dodgers in Manny Machado do not like each other from Machado's brief stint in L. A Remember, the Padres have always been And they wouldn't agree with this. But there's a dynamic of the little Brother syndrome. Whether that's because the Padres in San Diego feel lesser than or because the Dodgers and their fans and city feel feel mighty. That's calling Chicago versus New York doesn't matter. Who's to blame. Who's the arrogant slash insecure one? It's a real dynamic, and you saw it on the field. Fernando Titties Jr is one of the most exciting young players in baseball, however. Not having the world's best Siri's, but he blasted what would have been a game changing home run and Cody Bellenger and I know you know Bellenger from last year, M V P all those home runs in the first half of the season, but he is an athlete. And he's a guy who played first base last year than in centerfield. Rob titties off a game changing home run, and then you get to the end of that game and a close game a one run game. Some runners get on Kenley Jansen, the closer who just doesn't have it anymore, and that's one of the things we're seeing. That's the drama this Dodgers him the drama this Siri's The L. A Dodgers are on paper, and I think beyond paper, the best team in baseball, they want more than 70% of the games. I get through all this to add stature, their starting pitching. Their bullpen is the best in baseball, but they have lost in Realty time. They're closer. Kenley Jansen can't do it. Kenley Jansen doesn't have it. Kenley Jansen didn't get just get the hook Last night. The night he got the hook as the Dodgers closer going forward Dave Roberts and I'm going to think about it means you're not the closer If the manager in the postseason has to say I'll get back to you on whether the guys the closer the guy's not the closer. And so the dollars have you Mrs. All this drama? All this anger all this angst, the stolen home run. Ah, bad flip extraordinaire, which I love by the way they turn to Joe Kelly. The guy and he's my favorite baseball player of all time now, just after Ted Williams because of what he did in the Astros, If you remember pretty big suspension, throwing at the Astros in the regular season and going down to suspension for a long time in some injury comes in. And he promptly walks two guys, but not just not just walks. You guys. He gets the final strike in each of those of bats. The Dodgers air strike away with the time runner on first and then a walk in the tying runner on second and the final get down to the final strike. And then he walks. That guy, too. And the time runners on third and then he gets a ground out to second. And all of these things were sort of popping around in my head as I watched this game, and I felt my wife's frustration that we weren't watching Bosch from Amazon Prime, You know whatever it is 10 o'clock at night or not o'clock tonight, West Coast time. But something was nagging at me some story that was as meaningful and being overshadowed by this, and then they flashed to Clayton Kershaw just before the game ended. Just before the Dodgers celebrated blew kisses to some of those Padres and the Padres got mad and Jerry Hairston Jr nailed it on Twitter are Buddy You can't and I'm in a bad flipping You want to blow kisses him and bad flip and walk around in a big home. Run backwards while you do cart wheels. I don't care. Celebrate the game. Bring out your arrogance. Show me your moves, baby. What you have to understand. Turnabout is fair play. You don't get to be Mr Celebration when you're succeeding, and I want to fight you when the other guy does it blowing kisses disrespectful, So it's flipping a bad Who gives a damn Deal with the drama. All this was swirling in my brain. I was trying to get my mind around. Something has been. I've been thinking about his relations board's when they flash just before the final out to a very nervous Clayton Kershaw. In that bullpen, And this has been Kershaw's career right. Whether he's remarkable Orry underwhelming in the postseason, he's had both He has to rely on other guys in this case, Kenley Jansen and Joe Kelly to bring home his obligation to his team and I was watching his stress and I was thinking about if you saw one of the one of the two home runs and gave up in that game earlier in the game, Obviously, he went six innings three earned runs. He pitched well, quality start right doesn't feel like a quality start when it's the postseason is three runs. He pitched well. He's been dynamic this year and in this postseason and his one start previously eight innings, whatever it was 13 strikeouts are a billion strikeouts gave up. I think two or three hits in a basin, but the guy was amazing. Watching Chris, I'll give up that home run. Yesterday, he slumped his shoulders in a way that was more than about the moment and watching Kershaw in the dugout, relying on Kenley Jansen and ultimately Joe Kelly. There was a stress and strain that made me realize I've seen and you've seen it, too, and added focus. Hunger, maybe even worry. I'm the players who have defined our sports for a long time who are near the end of their careers. You've seen it from Kershaw this year in this resurgence, and he couldn't quite bring that sharpness yesterday, but he was good enough in his bullpen barely got in the wind. If I could go a little tennis you've seen it from from RAF in a doll at the French Open, who skipped the U. S open has been utterly dominated against some of these young guns..

"That We are on high alert for a brawl between the Dodgers and the Padres. Well, that would be an understatement, mainly because of the baby that Manny Machado looked like AA few moments ago. Following the Cody Bellenger catch. We just told you about Now bit of a back story on this. Obviously, everybody remembers that Manny Machado with the Dodgers and some unpopular things he did in the World Series. The Dodgers let him go. He goes to the Padres and hear the Padres now in the playoffs. Manny Machado, part of back to back home runs off of Clayton Kershaw in the Sixth inning in this game that cut the Dodger lied to for three right now, the Dodgerslead sixthree as they'll be going to the ninth inning with atleast a three run lead. Machado hits the home run and he bat flips like Like a blank or blanks. He turns and throws that bat and yells, Let's bleep and go on yelling things running down the first baseline, which is fine, right? Hey, have added, you bat flip like that. That's awesome. Right? Go! I'd do it. So Bellenger makes the catch. And ends the inning We told you about, he went, goes back and robs Fernando titties off a shore home run one of the best catches you could possibly see in any playoff. He goes straight back, and he makes the catch and it is phenomenal. The Dodgers are all celebrating. It is awesome that running off the field, everybody's yelling and screaming. And Manny Machado didn't like the fact that the Dodgers were celebrating so much He gets on the field and starts yelling Blank you directed, looked like it was a Brewster gratteri all who was celebrating the catch with his teammates and Manny Machado's yelling Blank. You blank! You blank! You gradual, takes his hat off waves to Manny Machado. And his yelling stuff back in him. Max Muncy comes out of the dugout. You just come in from the from the inning and is yelling. He's going blank u U blank and they're all yelling at Manny Machado and pointing at him to get off the field. Get off the field, and now you are seeing Machado and Dodger players Yap at each other a little bit here in the eighth inning. Of this game. The Dodgers now lead by three runs and boy, it was really tense there for a couple of minutes. But honestly, what a baby Manny Machado is. Look, we know that his behavior in the game has not been exemplary. It's not been great. He's at borderline dirty plays. He's someone that's admitted to not hustling. But man, I'll tell you want a backflip and throw the bat back in the dugout and celebrate like that. That's fall. I mean good, do it that there's nothing wrong with that. Your teammate, friend or titties has turned back flips into an art form. All right, And But then you want to sit there and yell because they're celebrating a great catch. I mean, really that you're going to do. I can't come up with a better reaction. That's just what a baby Manny Machado is. I mean, that's your I understand. Hey, maybe frowned titties is not feeling good because he had a home run, Robert, You know what? This is bleeping baseball man. It's the playoffs, right? This is not I'm gonna hold your hand and you're going to cry because someone robbed you of a home run. This is the playoffs in baseball. This is for men and you're going to sit here and start Selling it guys gelling blank you because they're celebrating a great catch. After you just start yelling and and show up the Dodgers when you have that bat flip what a baby Ben Machado is, man. Well, that's goodness. That's the big thing of all of this is that's what endeared the Padres to America. Your Padres, right were the Histrionics. The bat flips the epic emotional outburst, offense, defense, a pitching mound Wherever took place wherever the big play took place. That was the Padres this entire season. Hell, we talked about Jace Tingler a ton yesterday, right goes out to make a pitching, get change and gets ejected. Wait for saying the great combination of words that I can't possibly begin to utter here on, you know, to make sure we keep our FCC license. But that's part of the fire that everybody's excited about A new World Order rings San Diego on a team that's relevant. I liken it to people in our business that Trash talk left and right either on the radio or television or in their Twitter accounts, but then can't take it. When someone calls them out on something they got wrong or poke a little fun at them. Then they get all soft and For the lack of a better term babyish because the other one you know is really debased, debasing people, and I don't want to do that today, but they get childish in the response. Same thing here with the Padres, you know what if you're gonna dish it out, you got to take it on in this case you had Ah, homerun robbed and everybody got to laugh it off while the exhaled Right. That's the way we're going to cover up how much we realize we almost got got By getting in your face that you were a bad teammate in the guise that remember, don't like you. I mean, you are talking about a guy who joined the team in the Dodgers and he was going to be it right. He was he's going to be. He's going to be there for years. They got him. Seeger was hurt, and they couldn't let him go fast enough. They couldn't watch him Walk out of town fast enough to say Yeah, we don't need this guy now will go. It will go with other guys. I mean that, and and he had a shop himself around the league when the only team that would take him really was the Padres, who are like we're up in coming. We've got young, but we'll take a chance. I mean, we need you. You need us just as much because no one else has given you money and we'll give you money so Okay. This is where he's at with the Padres. But, man, what a baby! What a baby. Manny Machado is Twitter it? How about a Fresca? Mike and swollen? Don't we got more on this and a big story out of the NFL coming up next? Keep it right here. You are listening to fly sports radio..

"We had a lot of baseball yesterday. Actually, a pretty high scoring affair wasn't like a dud of a football game last night, I wouldn't say Sam Darnold broken early touchdown run, and they had a little bit of a ball game there. Into the fourth quarter and and Brett rip in pretty good, pretty good performance for a kid to throw three picks and get a victory. The note on him last night, the first quarterback to win his first start while throwing three picks since Jim Drunken Miller in 1997 Pretty good note there Anyway. Good morning to you happy Friday to you? Yes, Friday. Adam coupled with you the leadoff spot. As we are every weekday morning 5 to 6 A.m., and we'll start with the baseball yesterday. For those who did not catch it late last night or who went to distance Clayton Kershaw. Boy heck of a postseason performance. But again, it's the wild card round. You know, I mean, like, Let's see. Let's see. Let's see him do it late in the postseason. Let's see him do it when it really counts, But it really matters anything. Tio to put a little qualifier on the Clayton Kershaw outing from last night, first left handed pitcher in Major league history. Ask You first left handed pitcher in Major league postseason history to strike out 13 and not allow a run, I think was the was the note in the postseason was going to say It's not the first pitcher to do it because I got Timmy Lincecum did that back in 2010 against the Atlanta Braves. It was even more strikeouts than that, anyway. The The baseball yesterday was pretty good, and we had We had door die. Winner take all what wasn't winner take all it was elimination games across the board yesterday and San Diego Padres powered themselves back to home runs by Wil Myers. Two home runs by Fernando Tatis junior first teammates to do that since a Ruth and Garrett didn't we have a note? Just like that with them A couple of months ago. It wasn't the Padres. It was the it was the It must have been. The Cincinnati Reds wasn't added. Or maybe it was the Atlanta Braves. I think it was Elena Braves. Marcel Ozuna hit three home runs in a ball game, and then Adam Duvall did. It wasn't at the note, and they were the first guys to hit three home runs on back to back days. First teammates to do it since, like Ruth and Gehrig did it out of the room, and I think they were the first to do it on back to back days because a member of the note was Ruth and Gehrig did it, But it happened on the same day in like a double header or something crazy like that, or it was back to that games, But they did it on back to back days because of the doubleheader. Anyway. It was Incredible last night. Fernando titties junior is and Sarah Lange has a great Twitter followers. She's constantly putting out notes. She's on ESPN here weekly on the Buster only podcast the baseball Tonight podcast. She's putting out a lot of different notes. Sarah Ling's L. A. N G s. I follow her on Twitter. You can re tweeted some of her stuff yesterday, but she's always putting good notes up there. She just put out right at the beginning of the game yesterday, Fernanda Tha T's junior standing in the batter's box, and she said, did he's He's just He's just a reminder how cool this guy looks. He is one of the coolest. Looking baseball players I've ever seen. Fernando titties with like the twist is in the hair. He's got the got The died, sort of tips on the twist is he's got the beard. He's got all the stuff on the arms. They kind of remind you like Nomar Garciaparra, like he used to have the sweat bands and he'd be on snapping the bat and gloves and be touching the helmet. He has the eye black. He's got kind of get that Padres kind of Ah, bandanna over his head. I don't know. I just think t's Junior's a cool looking player. I don't want to deal with him for the next decade and a half. But he's a cool looking player teach junior hits to last night. What more game three Adam Wainwright was the starter for the Padres. You excuse me for the Cardinals yesterday only with three and a third six. It's allowed and and did not too deep into that ballgame. But Wainright awful one of the better seasons he's had in the last couple of years, so first postseason win for Jace Tingler and his Padres. But I think the story in the Bay Area yesterday was the Oakland A's and I won't go any further without talking days. Baseball. We've also on the other side. I gotta walk you through what happened yesterday. On Twitter. With me and, uh, me and J. D. Eichmann, left handed starter reliever for the Oakland A's. I got no beef with Jake Deacon. I got no beef with Ramon Laureano. In fact, I've stated multiple times, Ramon Laureano. A top five favorite player of mine in the game of baseball today. I think he's genuinely five tool whether he's like a a 40 homer guy remains to be seen. But what that guy does with the arm what he does with the glove there interviewing him during a baseball game, which was just awful yesterday, and I saw a Stan's getting upset about that. These players have to give their approval. And people are saying Well, the players shouldn't even be asked. No, the player can be asked, and the player can say no. I saw Justin Turner did it for the Dodgers the other day, and I don't think Dave Roberts was thrilled about it, he said after the game. Basically that much that you know That was Justin's decision, he said, But I don't know that he'll be doing that anymore. Going forward. And I think that probably means we're going to talk about this. We've been to the world serious a couple of times in the last three years. I think we make sure that we're focused on trying to win a championship. And I'm okay with that Mark, Canada two days ago you had yesterday. Ramon Laureano did it. He was like cursing on air because the ball came out to him a couple of times, But I'm with his fans on this. Like we were doing the interview with Ramon. First of all he's got to know to say no. There. Number two like Don't We're talking weather one and temperatures with this guy and running speed of a base runner while this doesn't a do or die, play off game and I'm like, Come on, man. So you know, I want to get on a major league baseball or ESPN. For that. It was a mutual thing The players had to say, Have to say no to that. So once they say, Yeah, you're kind of out unless you want to get upset with your player. Now. Here's the deal. So I was impressed with this age. When yesterday I thought that game was the most fun ball game. May be the most fun one outside of that one. Nothing 13 inning game, Atlanta and Cincinnati the other day. The A's are a put their stones on the table and much like number one. It's It's Liam Hendriks for May because 49 pitches two days ago, I assumed he would have been unavailable to go yesterday on not the case. He came out and he was electric. He's likes strikes out Louise Robert on three, Like 99 Mile an hour fastballs. His fastball was averaging 99.3 miles an hour yesterday he had his wick. Slider back, which he did not have control of in Game two. He was filthy. They put their stones on the table, They said. We're if we're going to go down. We're going to go down, firing our bullets. We're going to go down, firing our best guys. They got the big double play from Joakim Soria in the eighth inning to get out of it. They got the big home run from from Sean Murphy earlier in the game. That was a huge home run from Sean Murphy, Chad Pinder and driving into big runs playoff Pinder they call and that's one of my favorite players. Over in Oakland also, but again, this is this is why I was so like a bit out of shape about them complaining about 12 o'clock starts. It didn't matter. You should have to play. The bats were awake. You're starting pitcher Mike fires gives about. Ah, huge home run, They decided to dip into the pen early and in a do or die game, Probably the right move. Same sort of thing for the White Sox. And here's the deal with the White Sox. They have the offense. They were pressing all day. The AIDS were dancing in and out of jams. Problem. Here's the lights. Actions did not have enough arms and and I think I think we might have seen that. And maybe this is the case with the Giants to. I was talking to Andy bag early yesterday about this that teams that are in the postseason now and are these lower seeded teams like the play the number seven seed?.

"855 to 1 to four. CBS. I gotta get the Stephen Florida You're Steve. I'm outta here. I'm gonna hear you out on your car. Just when I asked you. How Hickey is 25 26 years old. His sister's really in the same age group. There he goes with the sister to the beach. Is that weird? Yeah, Just a little bit, man. That's that's Yeah, That's a little weird. Yeah, I I think the same thing. Okay. Thank you very much. Steve. Go ahead with the call. Buddy was until you talk about the participation trophies. And you had you had mentioned something about. I think your son many 45 years playing little league bar, Whatever. Yeah, and why? I think it's just a suggestion. You know you might want to do because I'm against the whole participation award thing. I think it's meaningless. I think it's embarrassing because you're teaching yourself to achieve nothing and be proud of it. But what I think maybe what I'm doing with my kid and what you might want to try while they're like 45. Yeah, let him have it because they don't understand yet, but being graining it in them and put it in them. You know what it really is and how meaningless it is so that if they get over, they won't want it for themselves that they won't be satisfied with mediocrity. They be satisfied with just trying hard. And so as they get older, that they will adapt. You know, to the thinking that you know. Yeah. I'm not achieving anything. Just by going and joining the team. I'm not proud of this trophy. Does it does it You haven't achieved anything. You just You tried hard. That's Yeah, that's what I do. Get it towards they don't want it for themselves. Okay. I could see it that alright, Steve. Thank you very much for the call of. Oh, sorry. Broke. The hickey dropped because I'm not in control of the buzzer right there. But, Steve, thank you very much for the call. Probably Hickey dropped you too, Because you made fun of him because of you goes to the beach with sister. Vicky would drop me if I made fun of him going to the beach with Sister Hickey. That's very weird man 855 to 1 to four. CBS is where the Hickey goes to the beach with his sister. Aside from that, no, From what Steve was saying that we got in this conversation earlier because I thought for the Fernando 10 T's. Everybody agreed that Fernando titties should have swung away and went ahead and had a grand Slam it. He should have been ostracised quote unquote by his own head by his own manager for hitting a grand slam, But we all agreed with that. So I didn't think that was the take. And I felt it was the same thing with with participation trophies. It was a little bit surprising to me. That there were that many people advocating for participation trophies, and there were people that made plenty of sense about guys like Andy in Wisconsin, who runs hockey hockey tournaments. Well, you know, we want kids to be able to play hockey and get out there and get exercise and all that other stuff, And I said, Well, that's great. Now me personally. Satin jackets, warmups, sweats, T shirts, mugs for Mom and dad. Whatever. Maybe that might be a little bit better, because if I'm not mistaken When the kids went to the beast of the East. They got hurt. They got some warm ups or a bag or something like that. They didn't get a participation trophy..

"You go ahead. Jamie, you go next. Okay? You want me to go? If you want me to go? I can go miss. I said, go ahead. OK, well, then I'll go. I'll go with my number Three star. You're sticking with the baseball theme out in the West Coast with the slam, Diego Padres. Uh, Fernando Titties Jr. Who had a two home run? Seven R B I game against the Rangers back on Monday, and we just don't give a damn mentality against the Texas Rangers sweeping up in a four game fashion, actually having three home runs altogether. Eight R B eyes and hole against the Rangers. So Fernando Titties Jr. My number three star maneuver to star We had keep on the diamond, but we had locally to the man who made his major league debut. On Wednesday night. One Mr Casey Mayes, who actually also went head to head in that match up with another first round pick and named Dunning. It's first time that too starting pitchers that were drafted in the first round Took to the mound first time since 2009 when it was Rick Purcell. Oh, going head to head against Ricky Romero of the Blue Jays on then also interesting fact as well to in that game KC Mayes. Was the first Tiger pitcher to record seven or more strikeouts and no walks and majorly debut the first time as happened in major league history since 2010 when it was Stephen Strasbourg in his debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He's in my eyes. Got the no decision in the contest going seven. Going for third seven heads, three runs both earn all earned and seven strikeouts. Casing miasma number two star Definitely a bright future there. I'm a number one star. Stick with the ice as Dennis had the had the ice and the number of where his number one star was, actually go, Tyler Mayes Well, too, but my change it up, and we'll go with a different star..

"Is Ian. Half his O. P s is 2200 when he's ahead in the count. So what has happened since he stopped swinging at that high pitch that he couldn't hit? They're coming down in the zone. He's getting ahead in the count, and he's doing a ton of damage. 2200 0 P s. I don't care what the sample size is. No one else is even close to that when ahead in the count. You're getting a guy. You didn't know what you get out ahead of the count doing damage behind in the count Jason here, we're doing damage. That's why that cub offenses so good this year we no bias and Brian have struggled, But the depth down boat down at the bottom has been amazing. And I think he inhabits. Probably the M V p of the team may not even be probably. I think he is considering where he was in the minor leagues last year. So, Jesse, I want to ask you about the defense of this team in 16. They were other worldly effects. CBS wrote that it might have been the best defensive team since all the metrics had started being used. Then they struggled a bit defensively. So, eh, How good is this team defensively be what is their best defensive lineup If Kris Bryant's on the field? Where is he playing? It's the strangest thing to see them. Take that dip in defense over the last couple years and then recover here. I don't know if it's coaching and managing. I don't know. But David Brody is a great example. Two years ago, David Brody was Outstanding on defensive third base last year. He was terrible. And I was the guy was lamenting. I thought that they signed him to a good contract and I'm like why they signed this guy's all over the place This year. He's back to being good. I don't understand. Why they got so bad and again, maybe came down to job being a little bit lax. I don't know. But right now, Ross is getting the best out of them defensively without a job. Kris Bryant is a good defender. When he's healthy. He's a good defender. I have no problem with Kris Bryant Third base. I absolutely I mean, David bodies had a nice start to the season, but he was awful third base last year, so let's not What's that throw Chris Brian out with the trash here. He was a very good third baseman, and I still would trust him because that's been his position his whole life. So I still think Bryant by is I mean, Horner's is just a little bit quicker than witness at this point, you know, in both their careers. And Rizzo would be your top four around the infield. I I won't even I would debate anybody on that one because I I do think Jodi's having a better year, but I don't think he should supplant Kris Bryant as like a defensive third baseman late in the game. Down the outfield. You know, I understand that Stephen Susan's back, but Kyle Schwarber's been fine. I have no problem Schwarber in left field, Elmore is definitely still better than happened center in Hayward's in right so I have no problem with Schwarber in left and Brian and third. I'm sure a lot of people would argue with me on that. So Fernando titties. Put another middle finger to Major league baseball last night by stealing third base a six out of six. Nothing so Jesse is the baseball infrastructure and marketing ready to promote players that quote unquote don't play the right way. Well, here's the thing. There is nobody outside of Chris Woodward and Jace Tingler that thought he did anything wrong, And that's the crazy part about this thing. I get wood, wood wood, wood even said. I don't like it, but it doesn't mean it's wrong, like okay, that's the opposing manager in the heat of the moment, But Tingler really screwed up. He really screwed up by what he said He easily could have just said Look, the kid, Mr Sign, but that's one out. I'll live with any day of the week. It's great. We love it. He's the best. He didn't do that. Now. He backtracked the next day yesterday morning and sort of, you know, backpedaled from what he said the night before, But the Here's the beautiful thing about it, guys. Everyone else in baseball backed two T's. That would not have happened 345 10 years ago. I think that's the storyline that nobody came to Woodward or the Padres manager defense. Everybody Back T's from from Anthony Rizzo to David Ross is an old school guy to Johnny bench. Everybody back to T's. And that I think is the big story here that the old school ways are not the norm. They are sort of the exception. What what those managers said, are the exception. And not the norm. So I think that Matisse is going to continue on to Manderson is going to continue on and Harvey bias and this is going to become more and more the norm. But is baseball ready? You know what I'm asking you, Jesse. I'm talking about the marketing aspect Can Patties be one of the faces promoted by Major League baseball? Absolutely Okay, stuck his interest in selling Manfred or what baseball is to me. They I think they're leaning toward trout Judge that type of thing more so than Tim Anderson and titties, but they're breaking through the glass ceiling, which I like. Yeah, I don't think he didn't give the finger to the fake fans in the stands as a god. Hit a home run on a 30 pitch. Absolutely, baseball's going to market them more and more. The player has to be open to it as well. It's just it's goofy. I talked to Tony Clark about this so weird sport. The moment you open yourself up to be marketed. You go over 20. That's the That's why players don't embrace it. That's why Mike Trout well, my tribe's personalities doesn't embrace it anyway. But that's why players in general don't embrace the marketing as much as they should, because the game is such a game of failure. But having said that, I think you're right..

"Season in Indian history. No problem. And now it's time to begin the chase for title stops on a dime triple up in and what a move by Fred Vanvleet History is on. The Lakers are still the favorites. But if I'm a Laker, the playoffs are officially underway. This's SportsCenter on that. Is J. Reynolds. Ah, day after a grand slam that was questioned. Fernando Titty steals third with a six run lead, and we darn near had a literal No, No. No fans. No hits those stories on the way on SportsCenter all night here on ESPN radio, But we know the Lakers and Bucks were in control during the regular season atop their respective conferences. Then the world came to a halt. Pick back up again four months later in Orlando, But it wasn't a simple flipping of the switch for the 21 seeds, and we saw that As they opened up their postseason action on Tuesday. The Lakers in particular we knew going in their first round matchup with Portland would be one to keep an eye on you. Look at Portland. Right now, you're talking about a team that is not only the most unlikely Eight seed we've ever seen. It's also probably the most dangerous because you look at the Lakers. They haven't played a meaningful game since the league shut down, So you got to go back to mid march for that. Tim Legler knew it going in, and the Blazers, meanwhile, fought their way through the seating games in the bubble they want with that eight seed in the West and Tuesday playoff time. "As bad as Kristaps Porzingis is Objection was in the Mavericks Clippers game last night. Baseball, adhering to the silliness that is unwritten rules is even worse. Padres Rangers, Padres Up 10 to 3 Fernando titties at the place bases loaded. Patty's gets a 30 pitch that he hammers. Or one of his many home runs on this season. Ah, manager of the Rangers, Chris Woodward, and the Rangers, by extension were upset because you're not supposed to swing according to the unwritten rules, you know, supposed to swing. 30 pitches when you are up. A certain amount runs in this case. Up seven. Ah, he's had to apologise because even his own manager Guy's J. The hilariously named Jace Tingler. Manager, the Padres who comes from the Rangers organization from remember correctly Basically said after the game last night that you shouldn't have done that and titties, then apologize. It's amazing how baseball can get out of its own way because the only time we talk about baseball as if if their players or doing something stupid in relation to The Corona virus. The owner's trying to break the union and now we're talking about unwritten rules. And oh, by the way, the Rangers felt so aggrieved that one of their terrible relievers Went out there and threw a pitch behind Manny Machado, who committed the sin of being A teammate of Fernando Tattoos. So the Rangers pitcher whose name escapes Me and Rangers manager Chris Woodward were both given suspensions. Today. Baseball and he's unwritten rules, man. Just go and I mean, this thing is so nuanced. It's it's and I've heard people really get very emotional about the thing on and like, say, Oh, well, if they're out there, you know you. You know the over to me, they'll oversimplify they'll say, Well, if two teams are on the field, then you should be going hard at. You know a million miles an hour and trying as hard as you can. Well, I get that and there is a show and the fans are paying to see it. But I kind of agree with yuk Kevin Youkilis, who he said I would He tweeted out. I would have taken the pitch based on the fact that I never swung in three and a pinch of my career course he was the king of walks, right? But then, he says, But if he goes deep on 31, it's the same result. Not stealing bases up seven runs in the eighth is an unwritten rule that I'm all for. But hitters are taught to not give up a bat's go get your Knox. And I agree with that. I just think that you know, toe roll with it mentally, is a big league hitter. You may go over 40. And you may go 10 for 10, and it's like you've got to be able to keep an even keel and just kind of your whole mindset is gonna be just like Don't worry about the situation. Don't worry about anything. Just go up there and try to hit the ball hard, and I think that's that's the simplicity of the thinking of a hitter on DH. I just hate that. I agree. Also with Bowden. I don't know if you saw that, but Jim bounces. The baseball should suspend Woodard a Woodward for the You know, for telling his pitcher to throw at the Padres and then Baseball. The Padres should find Tingler for agreeing that titty should not be swinging, said that baseball should not have these unwritten rules. So I agree with both those guys again. Woodward was suspended and the people for a game And the Rangers pitcher Ian Godbolt was suspended for three games. I mean, what's included was dumb and to me and defence for you gotta back up your player, especially over these ridiculous unwritten rules but finding him that We came wasn't out of hand. I mean, have there been Has there been a seven running in the big leagues this year? Yes, there has been. There's been a lot of them. So I would say keep going hard, but I do understand the don't steal. Up. You know a bunch of runs because it has the tendency of looking almost like you're rubbing it in. But I agree with you. I think it's a different deal in the batter's box. Here's the thing and I've been very consistent with this when it comes to baseball. Because baseball is not a time to exercise basketball. If I'm on the court, and we're down, 25, you're jacking threes with five seconds into the shot clock. Yeah. If there's a chance If you ever decide to come to the hole you're going probably hit the hardwood. You're gonna get over it. If you want to shoot a three with five seconds left on the shot clock, then knock yourself out. You know what? I'm not you don't need to take a 24 2nd violation. I don't think you ever need to do that. If you want your percentage deal with. Yeah, you Hey, if you want to do it cool If you don't want to do it, that's fine by me. Just don't come down and start cloudiness. You know, five on the shot clock shooting threes. Al ive done stuff like that. But baseball Being that it's an in football goes some way. Europe 21 points with 2 30 left. Don't come in Chuck in the ball, especially in a coach against our high school team last year. Go are two years ago. Go play action pass of 42 6 with like digit just like 15 seconds on the on the clock, and the legacy was his backup quarterback who called it but Want to play action up top for a touchdown been bitten. Now I can see college like, Look, if you want If you want to throw men and a half, two minutes left and see a third string quarterback never gets to play. I could see maybe throw in a little. Jump off for some past but Itjust baseball's different baseball's untimed. So my my rule has always been in baseball. If you stop trying, I'll stop trying. If you're trying, I'm going to try. Because who's to say you can't come back from 10 runs down? It can happen. Chances are it won't happen. Guess what? I still basing it knocked in and now we're at 11. Now it's a little bit less chance of happening. So what I steal? I don't know if I would or not. Ah, do I frowned upon it now? Because you're trying Europe there the bat in your hand and you're trying to get hits and you're trying to keep the game going. And that's cool. That's what you should be doing. You should be trying. But if you're going to try I don't have to stop trying. It's like that. That's the That's the weirdest part about it is. Well, we're going to try. But you guys gotta stop trying. Now. Why? What? I have to stop trying. What can I keep trying? Working his scores money runs now. I don't know if I completely described Bobby Bowden Ah when he said. It's not my job to keep the game close is yours. I mean, that is true to a certain extent, but it can be put in 75 different to me. In a timed event. It's different because this time it's going to end like you can't come back from a 28 point deficit With a minute to go. You just can't is not enough time in the clock. You can come back from a 10 run lead in the bottom of the ninth. I mean, it's possible, especially with Bolshevism. Marie are is it invented Eskimo the possibilities, of course, But it's possible football. It's not possible. Looks like California going home was bringing in God's plan. Fish don't start too. We got a few hours for that 50. I was practising new material hears Good. Here's what it's thank you, would you really I'd be crazy Is the NIT picking when it comes to The unwritten rules. Because the Rangers problem Was that he swung into 30 pitch. He shouldn't take it for a strike, which would've made it 31. The bases were loaded..

"You can't even be milling about Laureano. I mean, that wasn't a A brawl that was just coming together. No. One song any punches. They pushed a little bit no big deal. But if ordinarily he would get drilled tonight. So I think it's it's you know, swinging on everybody's got an opinion today. You know, Steve Kerr your concept of running up the score. Steve Kerr. There's so many times, Steph Curry could've had a record. And he chose not to put him back in the fourth quarter. The night that Clay scored 16 points. He did not play a second in the fourth quarter, not one he could have gotten Kobe and beyond, possibly Staff could have. You know the record is what 14 threes in a game, clay, a headband clay there nights they could have gone. Mohr comply. Never played the night He had the 39 point third quarter against Jack. He didn't play in the fourth quarter. I mean, you know there's a way to do it with class. It is, Jerry Jones says with grace and their ways to do it like Fernando to teach the worry I have with this guy. Is Manny Machado. And the influence that Manny Machado Can have on him. Manny Machado a few years ago was Fernando Titties. He was look at the talent, the buggy Whip er, this guy can play third and short. Put everybody else on the right side. He could take the whole left side of the infield. What range? What arm? He is incredible. Then you get him goes to the Dodgers, and he's in a playoffs game. Danny's jogging down the line. He's treating it like a spring game. There are no back fields be game. What do you doing? He got paid anyway. Didn't matter. So I think the bigger issue San Diego has gotta have is. How do we teach? This young player who's just incredible is Father was a special special talent, two Grand Slams and the same inning. I saw his dad played coming up. This guy's got Second generational, bigtime ability like a bond or a Griffey. He's just that kind of special player. There's no doubt but you've got to rein him in and teach him. There's a right way to play in a wrong way to play and swinging on 30. That's debatable. But when your manager Tells you not to. And you do anyway, That is an issue. So really, how to the Padres handle this guy. Do they call him in and they're reading the riot act. They let it slide. And then you're gonna have a guy develop into a Manny Machado, who does whatever the hell he wants. The agree with you on the part where he says where he ignores a sign. He says he didn't see it. He probably saw it, but it was just too good of a pitch and you hit a Grand Slam. I think the Padres have to be careful in that Jace Tingler after the game to me. Should have focused on the sign, and he focused on the unwritten rules of baseball and Fernando status is so good, and so far, I think he's the most fun player to watch in baseball right now. He's playing better than anybody, including Mike Trout in baseball right now. And he's your best player, So I think you gotta back in publicly and then privately, you can say whatever you want. Guys like Reggie Jackson, Johnny bench have come out and said, Look, Swing the bat. I think it's professional baseball. I think there's a heck of a lot of grey area. Stealing a base is different because you're doing it on purpose, but the guys hitting a pitch He's sitting pitch out of the park. I don't I don't have a problem with him hitting the pitch out..

"This is a year to right field back. It goes. ENH has done it again. Fernando Junior Grand Slam the Padres go on top 14 to 3. Two home runs seven R B eyes for Fernando. He's junior, right. Unwritten rules in baseball er back the best player right now in baseball is probably Fernando titties. Junior 11 home runs 28 R B ice as you heard there, and the Padres. Broadcast to home run seven R B eyes last night, But the unwritten rule in baseball says You don't swing in a cookie on a three off Europe, 10 to 3. Apparently, he hits a Grand Slam. The manager of the Texas Rangers, Chris Woodward was upset even Jace Tingler, his own manager. The Padres was upset after the game about to him swinging on the three of which he was given a take on the play. And he actually apologized in Fernando titties after the game. So where do you stand on this? Yeah, Ordinarily, I we really wouldn't care at all about it. I knew nothing about it until you brought it up. And so I'm looking at it now and since people on a react and overreact because that's what we all do, especially with social media, and the rest of you do And I don't I'll give you an opinion. I don't really care, though. But, um, I mean, it's a chain to three game. Ah, it's a little different than stealing a base in that situation. The game is not over the bases are loaded in the top of the eighth. It is conceivable that Texas could come back and win the game. But Fernando Tatty says manager gave him the take sign. On three. You don't he gave him the tape. And so he just completely disregarded. What is manager wanted to do? And I don't even know if you look for a sign or what, but he said he was there a lot. I mean, he said, if there was a sign he missed it. Yeah, that's standard on some is, if it goes through your were taking, I mean, some guys just don't even ate a sign. You're just not swinging on three other lot of managers. Kevin Youkilis was talking about this. He never swam 30 in his life. He just doesn't some managers. My car grove I know used to give the green light when he had those great Indian teams and I agree with the concept of swinging on 30 because it's probably gonna be a better pitch than you'd get on 31. Why wouldn't you swing? But He disregarded his manager's directive, which is a major problem, and it was not a cookie. The pitch Nicasio through was 92, MPH and moving away. From him. Now he's got special talent, and he was able to hit that fastball running away from him out to write a day New Globe life, which initially when the park opened, they thought was going to be a real pitcher's park. But he proved last night. Not always. But that was not. Even so. First of all, he disregarded his managers..

"This three Greatest covers of all time. Johnny Cash covering Trent residue on the nine inch nails. I love that version so much, but anyway, I die aggressive hit two lasers Last night. The first one was a joke. The other one was an opposite field home run, and this is where the problem is, I guess for people They're up seven. The Padres. It's the eighth inning there on the road, so there's still two at bats for Texas. Bases are loaded. Fernando Tattoos, junior swings at a 30 pitch again. I guess baseball purists and the protectors and the guardians of the game, including the guys in it. Would just have been making out. You can't you can't do that that his manager True. His best player under the bus after the game last night is appalling. It's I'd never I don't know what a J Sting Glor is. I'd never heard of J. Stigler before this year. That is appalling that a manager Would rail on his best player. For somehow violating a stupid, unwritten rule in baseball. I was stunned, shocked that cannot sit well in that clubhouse. I have to wonder. You know what? Let's for anyone who missed it, Jase Tingler, who is the Padres manager? I'm going to play it for them so they can hear. The man who was in charge of the team that drug the Texas Rangers last night. Talked like he was the opposing manager for some reason starts with just, you know, picking up the sign. I think, like the learning opportunity, and just so you know, a lot of our guys have green light health Rio But you know in this game in particular Way had a little bit of a comfortable lead, and we're not trying to, you know, run of the score anything like that. So, you know On the take sign. And you know, I have a prophecy is strength. Shameful. By all the way to put it, so I mean, it's shameful and I don't know, you know, Generally, my allegiance goes to my employer, not my previous employer. Those who are unaware Jace Tingler was actually a member of the Texas Rangers last year, So maybe this is why he feels compelled to in some way offer on Allah branch. To the Rangers and try and say, there's you know, we had no malicious intense, but the reality is Carm Jace Tingler was also a member of the same Texas Rangers team. That last season. I don't know if you recall this, but there was a moment last year when Mike Minor who had a very good season for the team, Chase Tingler was a bench coach when Mike Minor in his final start of the season. I think he was like, seven innings, maybe maybe even into the eighth inning. When Mike Minor was clearly you know, his last last game season was pitching and Mike Miner had 199 strikeouts and if you'll recall there was two outs in the inning and the hitter today pop foul. And the first baseman was going to catch it and Mike Minor yelled for him Toe let it drop so that Mike Miner could have another shot at 200 strikeouts. Jace Tingler was the bench coach of that fiasco, and now he's telling his own player, Fernando Testy Status Jr. Who's on his way to becoming the best player in baseball could've been away. He's telling him Yet you need to learn know how about just go play baseball. I don't care about the score. There's no slaughter rule. Running up to score. What is this little league? Get people running up the score in and so what in the idea here is or you've got to take it. You've gotta take sign there. You've got to take a fast ball 31, and then so then hitting the next pitch out is okay. So if he throws something else down the plate, I mean, do people realize how insane this is? So it's okay for Fernando titties, too. You know, swing 31, but it's not. Okay, 30. What else would you have him do, making out, just start taking pitches to making out? I don't understand The logic here that it is somehow unwritten, which is that's a whole other ridiculous notion. The rule is unwritten somewhere that you can't with the seven run lead in an era in an era of ridiculous offense. You can't swing at 30. Is this really what we're teaching now? At the Big League level? This is what Jace Tingler Is teaching his team and that that that this is little league It's insanity. Here's Here's and Here's my advice for any baseball team that doesn't like if they're trailing and the opposition is going to go ahead and swing outta 30 pitch. Feel free to go ahead and forfeit the game at any moment. If you want the game to stop, go ahead and say that's it. We're going to raise the white flag. You guys win. We are. We are so frail. Mentally we cannot possibly imagine losing by 10 runs in a game. That's it. We quit because they don't put it on Fernando Toddies Jr. Of course, he is the best thing about baseball right now, in a A very, very difficult time. He's the most is the most exciting player to watch. And you're calling him out. Get out of here. Your own manager is calling about. I was stunned. I was absolutely floored. I get Chris Woodward doing it. You know the opposition. It's still nonsense. It's absurd. But I mean for I, it's It's beyond belief, folks, and I mean, I'm just telling you, it's not just us. You know what? Here. Let me play this before we get out here to Anthony Rizzo was out with Captain J. Hood this morning. And Hood. He asked Rizzo about the whole idea of this notion of unwritten rules. And how do you approach them as a player? Our job's to get a hit. Every single time we go to the plate. So I don't care if he scores 22 nothing. My job is to get a hit and If if team start conceding runners and, you know, start playing off. And here's another topic. I always have a debate about in which I'm going to do here sooner rather than later. If the game's out of hand one way or the other, and she's still shifting me. I'm gonna drop a bunt down and people are gonna get pissed off about it. But why shit, Right? You know, there's just so many of these unwritten rules now and it's like well If the game's out of hand then what are we doing by ship? Good for Rizzo. He then all you needed to hear was what he said. Right to start. Our job is to get a hit. That's it. Tim Anderson echoed some of those sentiments on Twitter earlier today, their job is to get a hit again. I'd like to know what what the if you believe? That status is violating someone rent rule. I'd like you did. I'd like someone to explain us then. So what's okay and what's not swinging Three ones? Okay. Is he supposed to wait till it's 32? Is he trying to say is he's supposed to give some sort of an advantage back to the pitcher. He didn't make the count. Go. The picture did I is? It is so absurd. It drives me nuts, 3123323776. Of the Anaheim Angels and the 40 Niners were in pads for the first time yesterday. Here's calcium and talking about how practice went for the first time Once they strapped him up. It's a lot more fun to get the pads on. We definitely need to play a lot more football guys. They're going hardened Sopa guys die out pretty fast, just energy of pads on playing football getting football shape. We had our first two periods today where that weren't scripted. Just move the ball type stuff. Guys die out pretty fast is, which is what is expected on your third practice first day of pads, but it's going to come a lot faster. Ordinators open September 13th against the Arizona Cardinals. Those here half past headlines. Where's Jenkins joins the guys next on the sports leader? We now continue with Murph in Mac on KNBR, 1045 and 6 80, the sports leader. Alright, what a morning when Fernando titties might actually have more electricity around him that Trevor got it's like we're like, resigned about God. You know, I mean, a little bit. Yeah. I think Monday people were more upset about God. And today they're just that's what you get..

"You could do pretty much whatever now, I don't know. Anyway, They're talking about the lockdowns going on globally and they're staying in Melbourne, Australia. We're in lock down here. I didn't know this sash has been Been following closely. No joke. We talked to them. I mean, people from over there daily. You know her family and friends and message back and forth and talked to her on teas and stuff like that on get like 10. You know, they get 10 or 50 50 cases Now that there's an outbreak we gotta lock in town, so he's gonna stay and we're in lock down. You can't be more than five kilometers from your home. One person is allowed to go to the grocery store per house. Only 60 minutes a day of exercise. This is a Melbourne. I don't think in Sydney. They're quite a strict right now. But they're monitoring this stuff closely. You still can't have large gatherings took it have big parties and things like that. They're They're matching out a 20 or 25 people, so other places are doing it. We are not. But other places are trying to keep stuff under wraps. More people checking in Oh, sorry this guy's saying Now it's from his daughter, who lives in Melbourne, Australia. Well, thanks for the heads up, Stay safe out there for 15 checks in and says Shows a little love to the razor to Ralph Barbarian. This is Combs. I'm loving the show Staying staying true to Ralph Barbie area. Barbieri's now coming hard at the game last night. Look, man, I was trying to explain to sash on the couch the way the standings work this year and actually, what she said is she's a rugby fan, she said. Do you guys have a ladder? She's been paying way more attention to baseball this year than ever before. Maybe it's just that she's understanding it more. Maybe it's because there's not a lot else going on for her this far, just like no no new episodes of her TV shows right now, so she's watching reruns and and kind of keeping an eye on Giants balls. She's also got a little excited by the number of runs. They're putting up, she says. It seems like they hit more than they have in the past, which I think is probably true. But she was asking about the ladder, which for soccer fans or rugby fans, That's of course, the The standings is the ladder. The table, I think is your schedule or the table. Do they call it that the tape? I think table, maybe a soccer anyway, she's asking about the ladder. Which is just the standings. So I was explaining to her that the top two teams and each division are going to go and then it's the next two teams, regardless of your division. Right. The Giants yesterday while they were in fourth place by win percentage would have been like the number eight seed in the National League playoff hut. Now the lost yesterday change that a little bit on the Rockies who are just like cruising through the West. Right now one of the better a raise for their starting pitchers. Cheeky Gonzalez was not very good yesterday, but They're dangerous. The Padres are a scary team can't write off the Dodgers. Of course, they just got cursed out back. But Walker Buehler has not been all that sharp. It has not pitched deep into a ball game yet yesterday included so just keeping an eye on what's happening in the National League. Maybe that timeto scoreboard watch quite yet, But the fact that you're only playing team from the West is going to make every game or impactful. And if you look at the National League West relative to the other divisions in the NL there more bunched up everybody else's more separated Giants. It seems like our kind of Beaten up well in the West. Teams are kind of beating up on each other National League specific. I'm talking about here so more people checking in on the Cash Creek text Line 95 says Peralta was right where he should have been floating the baseline between third and home. Trump should have stayed at home. I don't think the plays for Peralta to be floating the baseline. I think you're supposed to back up the intended target of the throw in from the cut off, man. The problem was the cut off man, and I'm trying to remember who it would have been on that plane. Not sure if it's Solano, who wasn't very far from Dickerson. It certainly was not not Brandon Crawford. The throw wasn't coming home. I don't think it was the first baseman. So that's what I'm saying is, I don't know the thought I think and captured it on. This was that Peralta maybe should have been at home plate, backing up Trump in case Trump had to go make that play. The picture's supposed to back up. Good. Or home plate, But I think even if Trump is or even if Peralta is at home, and I don't know that they've gotta play on, that would've been tough. Anyway. That throw was just so bad. It just looked bad because there was nobody at home plate. People were trying to run around with their with their heads cut off more people checking in 707 re Johnny Cueto says. I wonder if he ever saw the great giant Louise Tia. Some really similarities there. Louis, a famous famous movement on the hill, where he would pitch actually, let's hear from Gabe Kapler. Hey, talked about leaving Johnny Cueto in in the sixth inning. Hey, had pitched okay, 86 pitches. He had been economical. He attacked the strike zone. And a lot of that has to do with with getting run support early because you wonder about had the Rocky stayed up one. Nothing like they went up early. If they stay up 10 and you're having problems Scoring runs gets a little dicey. It's a little scary face in Colorado, you leave one in there and won big home. Run like you got from Aaron Auto yesterday can change the ballgame so Gabe Kapler talking about what he saw from his ace righty yesterday. Johnny had done a great job of it. About 20. You earned the right to fish through the top in the sixth inning. Like like you said he was efficient way we market you will appreciate this. We said from beginning to our fishing and they are effective. We're gonna give them a chance to have a little lesion. Give us every reason to leave them in there. We don't take. We're not gonna take dominant pictures out of the game. So Johnny was doing a very good job. He had maintained a local Count. It was fully in control in control of his delivering his release point, so that when we thought it was the right decision and go out there and really give them a little bit of a row, Okay, so again, he's he's standing by what he told you he was going to do if guys can earn it. They just early in the season. We're not going to give them the opportunity to go and I think again. That's the difference with with Kappler and bogey. Bogey was kind of like, all right, well, we'll go a hitter at a time here. Now you're not as sharp will go hit her on the time until you start to just sort of put together a number of hits where you're getting ripped. Or you clearly cannot find the strike zone. Like in his last start. He wasn't as a fish and he wasn't as effective. I know Murph talked about Let him face Fernando titties Junior the second time 1/3 time through And he did not even though he hadn't hit him very hard. I understand it. If your pitch counts up, it's a little bit different. Yesterday, he seemed more efficient. I just like to see him push that 100 pitch mark. I want to know when they're going to get there. I think Johnny Cueto is a guy probably gonna be the 1st 1 to reach that Drew Smyly again. He was He was looking really good on Saturday, same sort of thing pounding the zone until until he had that finger. The pulley injury is what they were calling it. So by the way, the train's actually was made yesterday, too. I believe Angie Suarez was called up for Andrew Triggs. I think it's still on the taxi squad. But this is something Terry Crowley told Paulina yesterday that they really wanted to. Ah, manipulate the innings pitched, especially in a game like this in Colorado, where All things considered. You did Okay, using the staff yesterday not having to chew up a bunch of arms for Cape in which you gave up seven runs at courses is sometimes a problem..

"Of his career and i also don't believe that he's the last i will just throw out there i thought miguel cabrera even with those sort of you know tailing off towards the end of his career i thought he'd get there for sure but actually looking at it he's two hundred and forty five hits short and body is breaking down she's not the player he used to be it's kind of sad and also i still think he's a hall of famer but maybe he doesn't get there now she asked me that question two years ago said yeah he's gonna get their finished thirty one thirty two hundred and it doesn't matter first hall of fame taste but we're seeing like hitters like doing that at the at the moment right you wanna tune in to watch it i did it three thousand hit even if it's just 'cause i for me i know that means a lot to the player and so i want to see that players do something that it's gonna be a moment for him forever for sure and i personally do believe that mike trout will get there are last week comes from teen article at teen article last winter paul young and david dole doing on the all star team in not manny machado dato if the fran animal friend mill raised doesn't get an invite to the home run derby don't ponderous fans have a right to be frustrated i think a little bit of the shaft here and i you know i talked about that earlier that fernando totti's junior i think absolutely should be in the game of baseball should always be pushing to get the top two or three rookies in each league a suming there are two or three short kind of all star wars they should be getting those guys into the game marketing eventless showoff are best young players each year they kind of didn't do so here a i think having machado not in the gain jiang's in there because he's a because they need a car i mean i think that's the real reason the cardinals didn't really have an obvious candidate so that always becomes one of these obstacles to you but i do think machado should be in the game and i wonder if this is how much of this is just hit a little bit of a slow start he's been on fire lately but the way the all star voting slash selection tends to work as you have a good april giveaway better chance of getting into the all star game it's dumb a reader might point out the austin meadows all star case which basically predicated on two or three really great weeks to start the season that's just not what makes an all star i'm not taking anything away from those necessarily just sort of those the ideal players for baseball having in this particular game but should they have the manny machado and should they have their fernando titties junior should they have the the the best established stars with a couple of the best up and coming stars yeah i would certainly if i ever given free rein i would pick somewhat different players and machado certainly would have been on my an all star roster re tweets today guys i had a blast breathing through them feel free to me that keith laws keith will be back tomorrow tweet at me at troy underscore farkas in keeping coping using the hashtag.
