"Total of the gmc football podcast. And what a week one. What a week one. We just got to witness. It exceeded my expectations. I mean we had five of the seven. Abc playoff teams from last year. Lose including the The steelers beating the bills on the road. That was shocking. We saw the packers. Put up a complete dud in jacksonville as they play the saints In a relocated stadium due to hurricane ida. We saw that. That was so surprising. We saw two incredible primetime games. In the buccaneers versus the cowboys. And then the ravens versus the raiders. I mean we just have so much to get to for today's show. It is so great to have real football games to talk about. Because it's just so many more storylines. We're learning new things every week from each team. And look i get it i get. It's week one. And i need to kind of look at things from a big picture perspective. But i'm gonna recap all sixteen games. Look at what we learned from each one because there's always drama in week one. There's always a lot of games and performances from teams that have little to no relevance of for how teams are gonna look at the end of a eighteen week season but we still can learn a lot and You gotta you kind of have to pick and choose and trust the rosters and the coaches on teams or you gotta take Some performances as they are in in some some performances can be indicators for what we are expecting to see from team down the road. So let's get into it. I mean it started off on thursday night the season opener. The buccaneers beat the cowboys. Thirty one to twenty nine with a game. Winning feel goal by ryan suck up. I mean what a game back and forth to very high powered offenses. I mean the cowboys took the lead late. It seems like they were responding every time doc was so good on third down but this offense is gonna be so explosive this year i mean i know they got the loss but i think there's a true true chance that this offense has to one thousand yard receivers because you literally have to pick your poison between two guys who just get so much separation and guys the catch everything in guys that have speed after the catch so there's just going to be a lot of yards to be had between cd. Lamb amari cooper i mean. Cd-rom putting up seven catches one hundred four yards a touchdown a few bad drops. But he's still he's still kind of working through. While the wily veteran amari cooper. I think he really proved on thursday night. That he's that guy he's still the guy cd lamb could have a better career down. The road could end up being better receiver but right now at this woman in time he is going. He's the guy i mean. Thirteen catches is ridiculous. One hundred forty yards touchdown clutch touchdown and this offense. That didn't have one of the best alignment. And travis federick frederick and then we also had ezekiel elliott getting only eleven carries which was shocking shocking development. You would think you could see that kind of Usage in a game where the cowboys were behind but they weren't it was a back and forth game and i get it was a bad match for ezekiel elliott and offensive. Line to run the ball against a really solid front from tampa bay So i don't think that will Continue that type of carry. Number for ezekiel elliott. But we will see. We will see if that offense will be. Maybe an air raid attack This this year. Which is definitely possible. But tom brady. They got the win and they're just as good. I mean tom was just as good as dak prescott on on on thursday. Which is insane. I mean threw it. Fifty times had two interceptions. One was a hail mary. So you don't really want to count that but chris godwin. He played a great game. The weapons or their cronk had a great game. He had two touchdowns and look. They're just they're just. Tom brady is way too many weapons at his disposal. It's it's really not fair when he can. Just sit back and pick apart defenses like that with all these options. But chris carbon made some huge mistakes. He had dropped touchdown to seal the game. He had a fumble while the cowboys were driving. Close to the touchdown that would seal the game but cowboys found a way. Or the buccaneers found a way. The cowboys couldn't stop. They left too much time on the board after greg's aligned hit a big kick to put them up by a point and they just couldn't get to stop now. There was a pretty questionable call as one of the big plays on the buccaneers drives. Was chris godwin. Twenty thirty are completion and it looked like there was a little bit of a push off maybe a little bit of a flop by the by the defender but you could make an argument either way and i think in a lot of cases that call it's made but it wasn't it led to an easy field goal for ryan suck up what i learned from this game. Is that for starters. Dak prescott is completely healthy. That was a big question. Big question going year was one of the main reasons. Why didn't have the heartache. That he's gonna win and the because of the unpredictability of that injury. And i still think he has a very good chance to win. That'd be word he really does. I mean he was accurate us. Great on third down. Put the boat right where need to be. Even his interception was a perfect perfect. Pass right through the hands of cd lamb that you have to imagine. He comes up with down the road. And i just love. I just think that proved redact proved to a lot of people who he really is Who we would..

You know the later the team last year and look how different it's going to be and this is like a real test of the way the owner dondon likes to do things in that is that he puts value on things and he won't go past it. You know. we talked in the last podcast. That i believe there i offered at. Hamilton was torey krug seven times six and a half ish. It was a little bit more. That's what they initially targeted sarah. Sieving of the athletic reported that their last offer was eight years. They weren't willing to go where he got. Two two seven. Five alex delicate. They weren't willing to go where he got to. Which is in the threes so that is the way that they do things and this is going to be the test of how they do. Things doesn't work. does it not work. Yeah the thing that i always wonder about. Because i don't know how far off carolina was from what he ended up getting. I'm talking about the daca pitcher. What he ended up getting from detroit. So you every time you hear what you remember when you hear there's no inflation, I want. You understand why. Because if there isn't flation, they have to fight it by raising interest rates, but Wall Street in everybody UC on FOX business and CNBC and Bloomberg man. That's the last thing they want eight. If the market doesn't get its fed rate, cut the market has a temper tantrum if it gets its Federick cut, then I think higher. Yeah, that's all they care about stocks go higher. Sure for them who eighty five percent of income comes from the stock market, but mainstreet your income comes from wages from overtime, you need to save you don't get that because when wages when, when they keep saying, there's no interest. There's no. Flation rather, they can keep interest rates low, so that the guys on Wall Street can keep getting cheap money. He keep pushing a stock market up higher and higher and they get rich at the expense of main street. But see, nobody can next that because as long as we got these TV shows these financial shows that these guys are lapdogs. Okay. For Wall Street, you're gonna keep hearing this. Right now. We'll stock of all their winning streak today. Dow six days in a row, the momentum is building docks are surging market.

"Down days were really down there, sort of non events. The days have been much more significant. The market just just forced to hire really know does it if the market doesn't get its fed rate, cut the market has a temper tantrum if it gets its Federick cut, I think. Still higher. Now here's what they're trying to. The market has not gone anywhere in seven months. We're used to your every day. On the radio on TV you go home for dinner, the market made a new all-time that stop that's gone. That's gone not happening. So now it's happening. They're saying, well, let's lower rates again. Well, when I got understand, why are we growing anymore because they've lowered rates for ten years, it killed the country? It killed the economy, when you lower rates, and you keep lowering rates, then the CEO don't take their profits, or for that money and put it into capital, spending to increase productivity to increase wages to increase, our growth in our country, economic GDP grow. So all they've been doing for ten years taken that same money and keep doing stock buybacks to push the stock market up. So the so the street main street, they're screw. They're not growing their wages aren't going anywhere. And they do this again. It will be unbelievable. We'll talk about that when we come back and how you're gonna make some money. "Helped me at risk communities at risk children at risk youth, and you right in the heart of it. And I love that the president of the United States calls. You Lynn very upset about Nike. Could you tell us about that? Yeah. And the first thing I wanna do is clarify in saw me on. I I believe probably FOX and friends Thursday last Thursday on Valentine's Day and immediately called secretary Carson. So he called secretary Carson and said that he was outraged by the conditions. And also the fact that gives about thirty million dollars a week two nights for repairs alone. Money for other programs up strictly for repair operations. So he wants to make sure that the taxpayer money is being spent officially ineffectively. So he wants to have a future conversation with both myself and secretary curtain about what the monitor plans to do in terms of making sure that repairs finally darn for elevators pass alleged. He mold also that every single taxpayer dollars wisely. Spent as opposed to you know, the way it for the last couple of years everybody always complains about funding you can throw money at a problem all day long. But if it's. There's a culture of cutting corners. A culture of deception, which we now know to be true here. None of none of that. All the money in the world is a problem. So we need to really get to the crux of it. And that's what I'm trying to do by living here. Because look I wanna say from the outset you don't have to live at night to six nights. I've been touring these these units for two years now I've been engaging nights residence for two years. I know the conditions were horrible before I moved in. I know there will be horrible when I moved out. But now more than ever. Have a twenty four hour day week like front row. Yeah. When the monitor coming is is completely invaluable. I will be laying all of my findings data information. And by the way, I'm conscious talking to events. I'm also tacos tonight shoppers to them maintenance folks to site managers. I sit with them off camera once a week at each property to figure out what do you need to better serve the at can I give you right now. That would help you better third because at the end of the day. That's what it boils down Lynn Federick Douglas houses as we speak in the Upper West side. I I. You're coming to jersey girl. You gotta go to jersey. I know you charge a jersey we would love to have you over there. I mean, I actually just saw an article last night that disturbs me greatly about a property in Camden. I sent it to my I sent it to my team to have them. Listen, this morning trash is piling up and over thirty one dumpsters down there. And I'd like to speak to the owner or to you know, the mayor down there. On this. Figure out what's going on at that property. God bless you for doing that Lynn patent with Piscopo in the morning doing such a great job moving into nature, New York City housing authority helping out the community so needed within within the Trump administration. Can you just get private? Can you just have Donald Trump always would fix things like the woman rink, and he would always just come in to citizens? Exactly. And John Katzman genie's on our program AM night. Seventy John is always helping I wonder if we just reach out to the private sector to help out the night your problems when patent. No, I actually look forward to having a private conversation with John and about some of the food deserts, thanks out, Brooklyn, queens. Yeah. I'm better things. I definitely want to talk about and I look forward to obviously the conversation that I plan to have with the president about the conditions of may as well, look, you know, their New Yorkers, first and foremost for them and. It pays and greatly fell on yorker suffering. But on a positive net. One thing I want to say is that this week is the black history month celebration on Thursday at the White House. And I look forward to bringing my host Carmen. Down there with me. On thursday. So that should be really excited. You know, an tell us before we let you go Lynn the problems that usually you're seeing within the Nike housing throughout the city and in New Jersey. Oh. Leaks begat black their lack model there's lead. I. Cockroaches. I I'm evidently the. Now is overrun by rap. Right. That's something. I probably going counter the next five you really can't fix that overnight. You know, like at Patterson matrix kind of descended and doing a lot of cursory cosmetic repairs right now. Polishing Lord hallways. I anticipate that the look at the end of the day if it's about something that leads. I'm glad they're getting it. But is that going to bring about permanent change now and permanent change isn't going to happen overnight? But I can't wait till next week when the monitor now, and we can begin going over the systematic that I've. Oh, yeah. A great job, and you working with MIR de Blasio and governor Cuomo dare I ask. You know, I don't have anything against the mayor. She obviously had by position at one point. You know, we have to work together. It's the only way it's going to be sex. You know, I wish governor Cuomo would contribute more money. And and I'm not going to decry the five hundred million. That's the state. One time, but you know, what this trinity support and trinity funding from all levels of government to truly China itself out in the president is getting personally involved, you're telling us personally involved visit lend you're doing a great job. I'm telling you as a guy as a spokesperson for the boys and girls clubs in New Jersey. And Carol she helps out we always our mission is always to help out those less fortunate. Those in tough situations, you're just love what you're doing. You're sending. Thank you. Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah. So the detracted from the. Within wasn't gonna accomplish anything that I could you know without moving in. I would have to say that a call from a sitting president for the first time ever democrat or Republican. Physically to discuss the conditions at night. Accomplished. Exactly Lynn, keep up the great work, by the way, we need anything in jersey. I'm there for you. Okay. Keeping keep us posted. Great job Lynn patent right there. Moving into Niger.

"It's a it's a long, maybe not a long, moderately complex, keyboard maestro. Macro everything is activated from shortcuts. So I did this today. I can do I can Siri and say recording time, and basically everything springs to life and about ten seconds have all the windows where I need them to be and. You know, when those on the ultra fine when those on the pro Eluned display callers chain, the the lights changed the color, purple and toggle timer starts and takes about ten seconds. And I didn't have to lift a single finger. I just need to sit down and record. Yeah. That's really. That's really cool. I mean, I do feel like sometimes when we're getting ready to record in. Maybe I've been in the middle of doing something else. And you tell me you're ready, and I haven't done anything yet. And I'm like, oh, no, not got open this and this and this and this, and it's just that's that's the kind of situation where you make mistakes too. And what's nice about the automation as it sets it up? Exactly the way you needed to be set up to make sure that you can just hit record start talking which I really like. And keyboard maestro is an app that I need to spend probably more time with have not historically used. It. A lot better touch tool on the other hand, I have used that a lot mostly with audio editing because when I do editing in logic. Logic has does so many different things. And has so many shortcuts that some of them don't even use modifier keys. And so if you you know, if your finger strays on the keyboard, you can end up doing something logic that you may not understand to undo commands e is a very very powerful tool in logic. Because that happens more often than like, and so what I've done is. I've moved so much of the functionality of the things I need to edit this show to better touch tool. So I can do from the track pad. So my hands are mostly off the keyboard? That's nice. Let me ask you one thing Federick, which is you know, you I know that you used to do a lot more MAC automation. I don't know three or four or five years ago and just had done it in the last couple of years. What's coming back to it? Now, what's experience been like for you? When you kind of put it side by side with shortcuts, and where where is it more powerful? What could it learn from Iowa's? What could I learn from the MAC generally thoughts on on those kind of things I think well, really? Sends out to me is how on the MAC the spite of the shnell checks and controls in Mojave how you can just tinker with anything that you want. You can change you can change things like system features and settings. You can you can have apps actually automate each other. I keep mice are saying. Hey, better touch to run these action and vice versa. You know, that kind of stuff done get an US these complete ready to automate anything, you can think of like what about changing the volume level of speaker that I can size active. Sure, why not like that idea of its platform that is Marna twenty years in and showed enough shows, you that level of maturity when he comes to automate Shen, the problem is that he it's not as intuitive as it is which cuts I think, and even we keep a master, which is the more. Visual of the bunch like, it's more. It's I think it's easier than better, touch, for example. It's definitely easier than apple scraped. It's up there. With automaker. In terms of like, it's a visual flow of actions steal not as easy as shortcuts like even automate or I think it's more confusing the shortcuts I think to the thing about a maters that you at least whenever I use automated. I find myself having to move to insert some sort of script very quickly because automated fairly limited what it can do. Yep. Based on it's built in functionality. Yeah. The the idea is, and I think keyboard maestro is probably better than automating..
