Despite a Government Shutdown, We Will Not Go Bankrupt

"And I will have to explain again on the air for the hundredth time why we will not go bankrupt and why we will not miss that payments Here's a little hint This government takes in about 320 to $330 billion a month When the government shuts down quote unquote it continues to take in tax proceeds You're not prevented or stopped from paying your taxes Most of the people at the Internal Revenue Service are considered essential employees so I think continue to gather your money So that money comes in no matter what That's number one See I got myself started here Number two The good faith and credit clause of the constitution Is found in the post Civil War amendments Good faith and credit clause has absolutely nothing to do with what goes on today about the budget It had to do with paying off the war debt from the Civil War That's it Number three Social security Medicare and veterans benefits are specifically excluded under federal law federal statute When the government quote unquote shuts down And yet they will try to scare that hell out of all of you Number 5 when Paul Ryan used to be a serious individual and came on this program he made it abundantly clear that 17% of the government actually shuts down when they have a shutdown 83% of the government continues

FDA clears updated COVID-19 vaccines for kids under age 5

"Federal health regulators have approved the latest version of the COVID-19 vaccination for use in the very youngest of children. The Food and Drug Administration has okayed the updated version of the COVID shot for children under the age of 5, even as young as 6 months old. These omicron targeted booster shots are made by Moderna and Pfizer already cleared for older kids. Only 3% of tots under the age of two have gotten any doses so far. So first they have to get the older version and then their third shot can be this new formulation. The FDA's vaccine chief says vaccinations are the best defense, especially during this time. Justice Elena Kagan: No State Remedies for Gerrymandering

"So here's justice Elena Kagan During the hearing today cut 15 go If I could mister Thompson I'd like to step back a bit And just think about consequences Because this is a theory with big consequences It would say that if a legislature engages in the most extreme forms of gerrymandering there is no state constitutional remedy for that even if the courts think that that's a violation That's not true We're not talking about violations of the constitution for instance The state legislature were too congressional districts in a way that violated the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution which was ratified by three fourths of the state legislatures I will remind you That is one of the post Civil War amendments A state legislature is not free to do that In other words a state legislature is not free to violate the federal constitution or the state constitution And that's not what we're talking about We're talking about a Supreme Court such as Pennsylvania deciding well we're going to extend the counting of ballots in other week Well you don't have to actually sign the envelope Well you don't have to actually date the envelope even though that state law

"There's this case That's at the Supreme Court called more versus Harper This is the North Carolina case we've been talking about And this is the case that involves the language about state legislatures in the federal constitution And the Democrats are desperate To prevent the constitution from being applied to elections They've destroyed our election system They've destroyed it This is what the Republicans in the Senate and some of the house Will not come to grips with This is what some of the Republican governors will not come to grips with This is what all the media will not come to grips with particularly those on the take as consultants and pollsters Many of whom have media platforms They just assume find a foil and attack that foil But it's them They've changed the laws in these states and they know exactly what they've done She have a handful of brave Republican legislators and legislatures who are trying to get this under control And of course they're accused of racism Jim Crow two Jim eagle whatever the nut comes up with And so all the talk about suspending the constitution This case is about a constitution being suspended by Democrats and their surrogates in the states Because that's how they win elections The winning a lot of elections because they've changed the voting systems in these states and they've changed the voting systems in these states not to lose but to win

"Now last time I checked Julie the DNI the DHS and the FBI were operations within the federal government that sounds like a First Amendment issue to me and kind of a big deal It's a huge deal in Dan this morning I was posting screenshots of Elvis Chan's court order deposition that he gave last week in the civil lawsuit filed by the attorney generals of Missouri and Louisiana to expose this collude between the government and big tech This was not just run out of that San Francisco field office by Elvis Chan the so called cyber expert which he admitted is that FBI headquarters had basically a 24/7 every single day foreign interference alert system happening where they were in constant communication with social media companies demanding that they had staff available at any moment where they could flag them or contact them and have them remove content that the FBI had deemed part of foreign interference or misinformation have to materials et cetera So this is not just how this chant it was not just a handful of these agents which he said in this court deposition is that it was also happening at FBI headquarters So to your point the government was fully involved They were operating on an encrypted chat to these social media companies a lot of that information apparently has been scrubbed And Dan they were low key threatening social media companies either you say whatever material comes forward violates your terms of service for half to materials or we will file we will get a warrant We will get a seizure warrant on your platforms and force of the remove it That was the threat that seems to have been made to these companies

West Virginia Vs. The EPA

"Now let's move to West Virginia versus EPA, 'cause I wanted to thank you personally. People have no idea. I wrote a Washington Post column about the 6 month. This is the most important freedom case in the last three. I think Dobbs was big. Dobbs was huge. For saving life. But for saving freedom of people who were already alive, West Virginia versus EPA is, would you explain to people what that was about and how you succeeded? You want to the biggest cases we've seen in our lifetime. And here's why at the end of the day, a lot of people talked about the fact that all Morrissey went after the Biden climate agenda and we halted it on the regulatory side and some of the mandates still trying to put in place. But what this really, this case was really about essence, was in our country, you have a question. Who gets to decide the major questions of the day? Should it be unelected? Bureaucrats or should it be the people's representatives in Congress? And I think that the court was very clear that when you have matters of vast economic and political significance, it's, of course, critical for the Congress to make the decisions as to how it's going to proceed and not leave this to the unelected bureaucrats who reached out into their bag of tricks, pull out, twist to the ambiguous praise and say, we're going to reorder the nation's power grid or we're going to put broad new fashion mandates in place that osha and in other federal agencies, the CDC eviction,

"Julie Kelly is a senior contributor for American greatness and author of the book. January 6th, how Democrats use the capital protest to launch a war on terror against the political right. She's a frequent guest on national cable and radio news programs, Julie, thanks for joining us. Hey Danielle, thank you so much for having me on. Of course. Well, I am very excited to talk about this because I feel like even though we've talked about January 6th before, there is so much more to dive into there. And I know you've been very on this beat for a long time. So when you thought about writing this book, what kind of inspired you to want to dive into this topic in more detail? Such a good question. And I can't believe it's been almost two years. What a crazy time, but I think just from I wanted to sort of collect a lot of my reporting that I had done over really starting on the day after January 6th, 2021. And really, Danielle, tell the stories more importantly of the American citizens the Trump supporters who are being hounded, harassed, and interrogated, have their homes rated, and really legally tormented by the Biden regime in an effort to retaliate. Against people who protested, what they believed was a rigged election in 2020. So that really tells us most of what the book is about. But also, and you know, I finished the transcript for the manuscript. Here we are a year after I completed the book, still unanswered. And I think since that point, Danielle, a lot of new questions have been raised, especially about the lack of security that day and federal involvement in the events of January 6th.

Microsoft strikes 10-year deal with Nintendo on Call of Duty

"Microsoft says it has struck a deal to make the video game bestseller Call of Duty available on Nintendo. Don't let anyone tell you video games are just for kids. Activision Blizzard says their latest iteration of Call of Duty Modern Warfare two, which retails for about $70, has earned more than $1 billion in sales since it was launched in late October. Now Xbox maker Microsoft, which is working on acquiring Activision, has promised to make the hit series available for Nintendo and a ten year deal. The merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is facing close scrutiny from the Federal Trade Commission and global regulators. The Nintendo offers an apparent attempt to fend off objections from Sony, which makes the competing PlayStation console Sony has raised concerns about losing access to what it describes as a must have game title. Microsoft president Brad Smith said the agreement would bring Call of Duty to more gamers and tweeted we'll be happy to hammer out a deal for PlayStation as well. I'm Jennifer King.

Liz Wheeler Takes on the Giant Political Apparatus on the Left

"Is this giant political apparatus on the left who do, of course, have anti Christian objectives. They come after individuals who don't have the budget or sometimes the legal representation, the political knowledge to fight back on this. I mean, their business owners. They're small business owners who own their own business. It's such an evil thing that they're doing. It seems to me. Now, there might be constitutional law attorneys listening to this that say, wait a second, Liz, you're missing something. But it seems to me to be a very cut and dry case. When you have the First Amendment of the constitution that prohibits the federal government from in any way violating the free exercise of religion and then you have a state whose law prohibits the free exercise of religion in the workplace. That seems to me a very, very obvious ruling that the state is not allowed to do that because the constitution prohibits it. I know states have a lot of leverage when it comes to additional laws that they're allowed to enact on their people. They do have the right to have tighter rules in their state than the federal government is allowed to have at the federal level. But what the states are not allowed to do is they're not allowed to abridge the freedoms that are guaranteed in the constitution. Am I missing something or is this case this obvious? But here's the point, I think. When you don't have the truth on your side, you don't ask yourself, is this right or true? Because you don't care about the truth. You care about power. And so what you do, it's kind of like a criminal. A criminal looks at a bank and says, could we rob the bank? They don't say, is it wrong to get away with that? Can we get away with it? And so in places like Colorado, and this is going on in various ways all around the country and around the world. People look at a situation and they say, well, we don't care about truth. We don't care about right or wrong. We don't care about that. Well, we just care. Can we pull this off?

What Happened With the Twitter Files? Jim and Miranda Explain

"A little bit about the specifics of what happened with the Twitter files. So what Elon Musk did was he took the communications between the executives there at Twitter when the Hunter Biden laptop story broke, and he showed them to the world. And what happened was it was October 2020 right before the election. October 14th, the New York Post story detailing hunter's laptop and some of the information that showed corruption to the world and instantly Twitter blocked that. They shut down links. They suspended the New York Post's account and they did all those things. And the communications between the Twitter executives showed one thing perfectly clear. It showed that they knew that what they were doing wasn't true. So we got Miranda Devine joining us now in New York Post author of the laptop from hell, which is the definitive tome on this. But Miranda, the Twitter files, the initial thing, not groundbreaking, not anything most people didn't already know. But there's a lot more coming and there's some good things that have come out that you had a column about as far as what they were told, what you'll Roth told the federal election commission and some other things. Catch us up on the since the Twitter files. Hi, Jim, yes. What we know that come out in the last few days since Elon Musk allowed some information to trickle out about the censorship of the New York Post story on the Hunter Biden laptop. What we know now is that from the deposition of the FBI agent Elvis Chan that there was conversations about Hunter Biden in those weekly FBI meetings with social media companies. He denies that those conversations were part of warnings that the SBL. He doesn't deny it as you can't recall if the FBI warned yet the social media companies before the election to look out for these hack and leak material. But we do know that your Roth, who was the top guy at Twitter executive society integrity, he gave a sworn statement back in December of 2020 as part of a lawsuit against Twitter before they were not lawsuit but it complained to the SEC against Twitter. He actually stated that during those weekly meetings with the FBI, the FBI told Twitter in his presence to expect likely in October, a dump of hacked material that would include material about Hunter Biden and they called it a hack and leak operation by state actors, meaning Russia.

So how do you describe yourself, you're a conservative Christian, I don't know, pundit observer, cultural commentator. Yeah, yeah, I usually describe myself as a political commentator. That's correct. Yeah, I'm a conservative, of course. I'm openly Christian. I know that's a little different than some other Republicans and conservatives. One of my specialties is the culture war. I think that all of the governmental structures that we have in our nation, whether it's the three branches of government, whether it's the idea of a constitutional republic with enumerated powers, this limited amount of federal government power that can not be, it can not exist if we don't have a strong nuclear family where people rely on their spouses and their parents and their children within this unit instead of relying on the government. So the culture war has been my specialty for years and I host the Liz Wheeler show. We talk about cultural and political issues, break it down. I always describe my show as being personal because it is a podcast, so we're kind of sitting there talking together. It's one of my, this is sort of a personal part of me that I bring to the show is being super hyper researched. I do not want to make a claim or make any kind of argument without all of the facts, I like to show people the facts. You see, that's where we get for. That's where we differ Liz. I just wing it.

Before that jury was brought into the room, Tom Miller, attorney for the city of Federal Way, and the officers Tyler Turpin and Austin Rogers requested the inquest administrator ask prosecutors for immunity from prosecution for the officers. But Terry Rogers Kemp lawyer for the family of 33 year old Robert light feather says that would take away the family's only chance for recourse, criminal prosecution. And something to add to that list. So one of the major backups we've been talking about is northbound I 5 approaching the kenton Moines road. Three right lanes are now back to being blocked. It is solid bumper to bumper traffic from three 20th and Federal Way. And now in Federal Way, near three 20th just north of three 20th, a disabled vehicle in the right lane. All right now it's from about 56 on up little sun glare there. I think it's just a little boost of volume. All in all, not too bad of a drive. 35 minutes from Olympia into Tacoma, the weaving emerging slowing into coma still kind of their frustratingly 16, though, looks pretty good trying to make your way into Tacoma. Then federal way to Seattle's running at 40 minutes. We've certainly picked up the pace at the North end. That's a freeway speed drive all the way up until you get to the Michigan curb there at the north end of Boeing Field, So that's actually quite good Valley Freeway is clean from end to end as well. 35 minutes to run the length there, But then you're greeted with about a 35 minute trip from rented to Bellevue. As those s curves are still doing. Their thing is, people are weaving emerging there and again and Seeing not as many people using those double lanes there on the 1672 North found four or five drive just to remember reminder that when the that flashing light is on, both of those lanes are open, including the shoulder lane up to the rant meter. Out of the north end. We've cleared out nicely 35 minutes from efforts to Seattle about 30 from ever developing the heaviest slowing on South. Dont five. Can we get there this morning? Let's check traffic with Sully. Well, you can get to every place It will just take you a little bit longer. I guess in some places like if you're on the federal way to Seattle Drive, we're up to about 30 minutes from South Centre into downtown. So we're really starting to Pack in there as you get towards the north end of Boeing Field 30 minutes on That drive has become about standard lately. 50 minutes from federal Way rented the Bellevue is running at about 30 minutes again. That's about average 40 minutes from Olympia to Tacoma and Tacoma right now isn't terrible through the weaving emerging. It's just kind of when you hit it. And depending on how many cars are there, Valley Freeway. Also from end to end about 42 minutes really isn't too bad out of the north end, though. We really start to see a little bit more heavy slowing to the Lynwood area around 44th more across the county line up to about 45 minutes from effort to Seattle. If you choose to use the express lanes looks like we might have a crash in the Express lane Southbound five near James Street, so kind of where it Funnels down to just the last couple of lanes there.
