"As you said oh it's a private matter It's private It's not private Is it doctor It's not a private matter 675,000 Americans are dead Yeah we used to say you know people would say oh this is my choice to take a risk or not Except it isn't your choice Because it isn't your choice You must deal with the reality that we have to stop these spread of COVID I just put an article that said eventually first of all that COVID is going to be chronic This is it We're not going to eradicate it in anything resembling a tight timeline This is going to be many many years Because we have pockets of unfettered growth of coronavirus all over the world That's that So we're going to have to live with it And the way you're going to protect yourself yourself is to get vaccinated And the way we're going to protect everybody is for everybody to get vaccinated and we're so far from that stuff I don't like thinking about it but that's the fact that I know I know doctor Corbett who invented Moderna vaccine said it's too late We're going to live with this now I mean the fact that it didn't have to be this way is so infuriating I'll need to talk to you about blood pressure medication or something else But anyway we have laboratories out here in California We have the lowest rate in the country right What we did works vaccination rates masking all of that The latest example LA on vaccinated people will be banned from visiting popular amusement parks including 6 flags magic mountain Universal Studios when new regulations go into effect next month There is part of a health order announced on September 15th that will require proof of vaccination to enter bars lounges nightclubs breweries wineries and distilleries here in LA county Interestingly Chris you're in charge of this Being a Disney homo Yeah They will not apply to Disneyland It's not in LA county In Orange County Right but they inserted an indoor mask mandate and they recommend vaccination while not requiring proof I feel like we just have to have mandates everywhere Doc don't you and I don't know how you're recommending how we get there You can't get into a restaurant in New York without showing proof of vaccination And you probably read the story that was very popular restaurant called carmine I think what side of me and we're visitors from Texas physically attacked the restaurant staff who was asking for their proof of vaccination Yeah I know this is a family show so I'm going to temper my language here But the fact that people attacked a restaurant worker doing their job and protecting the public self is you know just a particular small but an outrage nonetheless just hearing it Let's talk about boosters the FDA obviously just authorized Pfizer for American 65 and older those with high risk conditions those in workplaces with high exposure risks but stop short of a similar push for the broader population Data released by Pfizer last week shows the two dose vaccine regimen remains highly effective against severe cases of disease even as its protection against symptomatic cases has waned falling from 96% to 84% after 6 months Pfizer said a third shot would restore its effectiveness to 95% So there's been confusion obviously about this but am I one of those people that I'm happy to file follow the science and the data you and Travis and I are Moderna we'll hear probably in a couple of weeks right What their recommendations are I mean I'm fine with that Following the science and going okay people 65 and over an immune compromise people should go first What's your take on the whole booster thing Yeah so let's break this down It is a little confusing So two big federal agencies have to approve anything like this First is the FDA The FDA food Drug Administration says this product the case this vaccine is safe The data shows it safe and its effective And they are advised by an outside adviser group to reset conclusion And this is what just happened The FDA got all the input they like what they see And there's a formal approval of the safety and effectiveness of the third dose The next part of the process is the CDC The Center for Disease Control and Prevention And then they have to say okay we hear what the FDA is saying And now we are going to approve as a matter of policy that people in certain categories are going to get the booster The categories as you say over 65 and severe immunocompromised but also there's another category that's going to warrant this booster shot And that's for people who work around a lot of other people In grocery stores and especially healthcare workers So all that will be approved If you are less than 65 with no you're not working that kind of environment And you don't have other compromising health factors you may or may not at some point in the future be eligible for the luster shop But right now you're not going to be anytime soon Which is fine And I agree with all of that We had one doctor said I don't think a booster dose is going to significantly contribute to controlling the pandemic I think it's important the main message we transmitted is that we've got to get everyone two doses That obviously is the big factor right now And as we just played the president I mean obviously the World Health Organization has condemned plans about boosters They said that obviously the shots would yield a far greater return if they were administered as first and second doses in developing nations where new variants are likely to emerge because the variants are circulating so wildly He said as we've seen the emergence of variant after variant we can not get out of it until the whole world gets out of it together You've said that over and over here with the huge disparity in vaccination coverage we're simply not going to be able to achieve that So yeah so yeah I mean so it would modern our J&J and a couple of weeks would that be different the recommendation for some reason or no No I think we're going to have the same set of recommendations for all the available and approved vaccines In other words those are the categories that we just eliminated this whole entirely entirely and will rec be recommending that you get a booster shot But I just want to underscore again the World Health Organization's position here because it's critical It's not only critical to those countries where the vaccination rates which is all over Africa Less than 2% of the population have even gotten a first dose that we can not turn away from that Fact stuff because that's where the festering the growing the development of mutations will occur and it all come back to haunt the entire world So the problem in sub Saharan Africa for example is our problem You live in a fancy suburb and somewhere in California and New York or wherever you're going to be potentially a victim of our failure to recommend to understand art Well and quickly before you go I know you have a hard break here but data released by J&J indicates the protection afforded by J&J doesn't wane like Pfizer and Moderna though a second shot would booth booth its efficacy against mild to severe COVID from 74% up to 94% And then I don't even want it because Chris is here and he's a Pfizer snob I don't want to get into New York Times Story Moderna versus Pfizer both knockouts but one seems to have the edge a series of studies found the Moderna vaccines seem to be more protective as the months pass than the Pfizer Oh where is the hang.

versus Pfizer both knockouts but one seems to have the edge a series of studies found the Moderna vaccine seemed to be more protective as the months pass than the Pfizer Oh where is he hanging on a second Kris I'll find it Pfizer is a big hammer said doctor Wilson Moderna is a sledgehammer Just saying it's okay I'll tell you what anything you conclude about the studies to date in that realm of efficacy and long-term protection you should write in pencil because you're going to have to erase it the next couple of studies that come out It's been a well but if I have a second to gloat with Chris I'll do it So yes Yeah yeah Anyway so it's all it's all dependent on the most recent studies And I don't think the end of the story is here yet Yep everybody Just get the shot whichever one it is They're all great Okay Team vaccine All right I love you doctor doom See oh not next week It's my big birthday but I'll see you the week after Okay Okay Bye bye All right okay Oh I'm sorry I didn't want to You know what I didn't want to do it in front of doctor doom but it is our vaccine is a sledgehammer It's better.

"Recent weeks for the first time we're ready to fulfill nearly all of the request for most all of these items for our part we're trying to build a domestic in state supply system for these products last week I held a kind of a summit meeting with fourteen Washington based manufacturers to discuss how we can do more to control our own fate here manufacturer owned products you're just in Washington scores of Washington companies already are producing hand sanitizers surgical mask in a range of other P. P. in this morning I spoke with FDA food drug administration commissioner Stephen Harper and ask him to insure that we have a review of mask now made in the state of Washington part by outdoor research and he assured me that he would look into this as quickly as possible we know Washington lawyer players or it should be required to keep their workers safe but at the same time we have experienced profound challenges in obtaining P. P. from the beginning of this crisis unfortunately we know unfortunately the trump administration has remained unable and unwilling to take the really necessary in available staffs to really develop the national domestic manufacturing base for these products so today a renewed our request to the administration in a letter to the vice president to use more of the powers of the defense production act to meet the scale of the need across the United States four PP for example when the administration said that Washington state's nursing homes would be supplied with additional PP this is what arrived unusable medical gallons with sometimes without arm holes in the tens of thousands meanwhile with none of the authority of the federal government has to compel commercial product we don't have that authority as a governor only the president has that in as a result the states have had to continue to compete against one another for this P. P. do you example how important this issue is we received nearly four million items of P. P. from the federal stockpile before it was empty but we've already received twenty times that amount nearly eighty million items from our own purchases through our state efforts with another two hundred million items of PP purchased and waiting for delivery so in my letter to the vice president today were also asking the administration to do the following we needed to develop a comprehensive assessment of production needs our protection needs by industry and work with Congress to support a resilient National Sox stockpile to meet that industrial base not just medical but industrial as well we needed to provide more detail in protective federal guidance for workers across all categories we need to assist employers on safety S. U. mi safely reconfiguring their businesses to operate the era of covert nineteen and perhaps most obviously important we needed to replenish and expand the federal stockpile to prepare adequately for a future covert nineteen search and other potential pandemic outbreaks note these challenges we face are significant but they're not insurmountable or state in this nation can rise to this moment in this obligation to protect our people but I want to reiterate we're proud of our state we can argue it's the best day but we need the federal government to exercise its authority which is unique in our system of democracy to really protect our people and our port an arm please we need to build a stockpile nationally we need to have that access to that stockpile and we need that to be quick let's talk about a new issue we're starting that I think is really important in our ability to continue to restart our state I'm pleased to talk about a non profit effort in our state it's been unveiled today this is the wear a mask Washington initiative where a mass Washington initiative you know we know it's it's it's clear now they're wearing a facial covering is.

"Heard the news of president trump he announced himself yesterday that he's taking a drug that he believes is helpful in preventing the corona virus now it's important no no doctor saying it's good for preventing the corona virus and many are saying it's dangerous but here's president trump when he announced to everybody within the media that he's taken something the frontline workers many many are taking it I happened to be taking it I happen to be taken hydroxy four right now yeah a couple of weeks ago started take it in because I think it's kind of a lot of good stories and if it's not good I'll tell you right I'm not going to get hurt by it it's been around for forty years for malaria for lupus for other things I take it frontline workers take a lot of doctors take excuse me a lot of doctors take it I take it yet now look some of that is true by the way there are doctors who take it that you know if you go back a month and whatever that was five six weeks ago there were a lot of people talking up hydro at what is it again I drug the clerk when I'm kidding and they talk about a drug to core clerk when they said it but many people thought it was gonna be the miracle drug right the president certainly did and effect you may not know the federal government ordered hundreds of millions of doses of hydroxy Cork when it's in the stash now it's in the stockpile ready to go it's about some of it was already distributed out to New York in New Jersey states that were heavily hit earlier in this pandemic when the president apparently still believes it you talk about why why would he do this now I get it I want to stress this the FDA food drug administration and his administration these are his appointees they've come out and said don't take hydroxy Cork with because it has very dangerous side effects there's no evidence it's effective don't take it and by the way nobody has said it's of the affected as a preventative which is what president trump doing now because he doesn't have corona virus he knows he doesn't have it because he's tested every single day but yet here's one of the reasons he decided to take it so I got a letter from a doctor the other day from Westchester New York around the area he didn't want anything he just said Sir I have hundreds of patients and I give them hydroxy clerk when I give them the Z. pack which is zip from my sin can I give them is a and out of the hundreds of patients many hundreds over three hundred patients I've I haven't lost one he said please keep pressing that Sir it doesn't say it save anybody doesn't say is what we don't know what the way you know if a drug works and I understand there's there are drugs that are developed for certain reasons and we learned they work for other reasons that's okay we should do that kind of thing but it is going to be done to testing and that's happened now and the test was one from our own Viegas president trump's V. over the veterans administration they did a test and found not only doesn't work it was the opposite effect stuff what people have their symptoms longer and some people had really bad side effects this is a dangerous drug taking drugs because you heard anecdotal evidence is is not necessary that I developed if you go to your doctor and your doctor says Hey I'm gonna give you this at a certain dose I'm going to take it for two weeks I want to see how okay your doctor says to do it he's a professional he should do it but don't just run out and try to get this stuff in by the way this was not the White House doctor or the president's doctor suggesting or recommending he take it it was him it was trump himself asking for the White House the White House doctor recommends you take down is that what you're telling us doctor didn't recommend no I asked him what do you think he said well if you'd like it should yeah I'd like it I'd like to take a lot of people to take it a lot of frontline workers are taking hydroxy clerk went yeah and that that may be true that that very may well be true now the president's favorite news channel is fox news you know that he likes to talk about fox all the time he he tweets to listen to his interviews on fox or says watch this guy show one of the guys on fox one time a host or Neil Cavuto certainly a pro trump guy a conservative Neil Cavuto did the president did like here's a deal Couto said yesterday after the president's announcement this was live on fox if you are in a risky population here and you were taking this as a preventative treatment and to ward off the virus or in a worst case scenario you were dealing with the virus and you are in this vulnerable population it will kill you I cannot stress enough this will kill you R. that's Neil Cavuto on fox not somebody who you normally hear saying negative things about president trump or counter counteracting were contradicting what he says the present when after Caputo and fox on Twitter after that by the way but the question ask yourself is why why would the president of the United States I take a medication that wasn't prescribed for him I mean he basically told his doctor I want to take it the doctor found a way to get a form but why would he do that and more importantly as somebody that millions of hundreds of millions Americans look to and trust why would he say that or suggest that taking a medication that by the study say isn't necessary safe studies show doesn't help with the coronavirus Y. N. and I was gonna ask the question why would why would the president do that a win win there are medications now we're we're learned of other medications that actually do help people with the disease produce that the number of days that you suffer with it get people out of ICU faster it's not perfect but it but it works why why would the president keep doing this and I don't know the answer to that question I don't know if it's a it's a level of stubbornness re wants to prove himself right so much that he's just making it happen but this is a this is the president of the United States somebody whose health we protect at great expense right with secret service and other things and here you have a guy who's who's seventy three years old he and I'm not trying to be funny but he's he's overweight he's not in the best of shape I mean look the guy has give residents up this is a ton of energy I mean I get it he gets up he's he's out doing a lot of the seventy three I hope on that activity but by his own admission he doesn't work out you have the energy is self driven he's not a guy was exercising his is I don't know what is cardio with health health history is all that kind of stuff but he's he's definitely over weeks so much of any seventy three years old he's he's in but he's the guy that you look at and say he's your mom your dad or your friend that you don't want to get exposed to this because it can kill them is the ease in the group of the demographic of people who die from the coronavirus and I understand wanted to take medicine that you think can help you but he has information the best information of every study he he is he is literally the most or could be the most informed person in the country on this end the question I'm asking is why why would why would you take this maybe just thinking out loud maybe he wants the responsibility for coming up with the solution in the event that hydroxy clerk when is the drug that maybe it maybe six months from now doctors come out so you know what this does work and we've proven that it can work to help treat the virus trump can go back and say why was I've been on that since since March and I took the drug and I did it before and now Sali I don't think he's been on it for a week and a half like he said I don't think so I think he's on it I I believe that he's taking it as that just it just sounds like something trump would do but if I can't imagine that he's been on this for a week and a half and didn't say something look at what we don't know is we don't know what dosages taking it might be very small does let's be clear it isn't like you swallowing poison a lot of people take this medicine for other reasons it's not going to kill everybody is gonna kill most people that's why I didn't like about Neil kudos yeah because he said it's going to kill you I don't buy that right but what what Neil Cavuto was saying up from a public statement where you're you're talking to people is don't go get this because you could die and there are people who will go out and try to get it taken preventively because the president said I'm doing it I mean they're they're absolutely people who are looking to get this right now and they'll take it on the other side go take this local again we've opened up the businesses here in Arizona restaurants are open some is near and dear to my heart I want to talk to a restaurant owner here very well versed in the safety issues and I want to work at work Hey how are you doing it what's the reaction from the public how busy are you all that's next day with us it keeps here the Gators chat show I happened to be taking it once trump taking I think it's that magical drugs that he loved so much how do you prove quite easy taking it in the gummy form we'll find out easy to above that so it's your fault it's the flinstones version case like strawberry the Gators and chat show this afternoon at two.

"Latest news and information about corona virus it's got this is seven hundred W. L. W. you know one of the big questions of course in this whole thing is working on a vaccine when I took this long to get the testing which I get but how long really is going to take to get a vaccine some people say I we can have it done in just a few months are working really hard and other times it can be maybe even a couple of years guy who will have the answer to this one I'm guessing is Dr Paul Offit he is the director of the vaccine education center at the children's hospital in Philadelphia children's Phil is a really really good hospital and we'll talk to him about that on the show on seven hundred WLW without doctor Paul good morning doctor often are you good morning how are you I'm doing fine so the big question you've been asked a million times I just said is when when is a covert vat nineteen virus vaccine coming it's in development some people say it's being fast tracked we could have a few months others say you're lucky to get in the year and a half two years what's the scope yeah there's no way on this earth that you'll see in the next two months I think the best most optimistic aspirational possibility would be we would have in two years you have to do efficacy trial throughout the study thousands of people who either did or didn't get this vaccine to make sure that it's effective to make sure that it's safe before you give it to tens of millions and arguably hundreds of millions of people in this world you know you you win when you fast track things mistakes can be made so you have to make sure that what you're putting out there is a perfect well I've often said it's it's interesting the FDA food drug administration supposed to be the watchdog of the industry and will often have these new class of drugs or new drugs and products come out and everything's great and it's it's green lit by the FDA they start deposition start writing it and then all of a sudden people are growing up a third nipple on their forehead they sue the company into an existence and meanwhile the FDA kind of skates away completely Scot free if your job is to make sure the staff is safe then dammit do your job I've said that before with some other drugs it not as important obviously is a vaccine against covered nineteen I'd be hypocritical to say that the young people who cares about the testing just get this thing out there because we'd be back in the same boat we look at how drives the clerk when I mean this was a drug that was the initiative promoted by a prison term it is the most recent study we just came out yesterday at a franchise that not only did not work to keep you out of the I. C. or did it not work to keep you from dying that's got about ten percent of those who got it had dollar taxes isn't so that's another example the FTA actually stood back on this drug now this is not a licensed product recent news of ours but they just stood back and basically said you could use it if you want which I think was a mistake I think they should've waited for these kinds of studies be performed first supporters jumping on the bandwagon of the stroke it's like anything right that that's why we have different types of drugs in the same classes because it works for some and not others you know there's there's a number of examples including that lawmaker Detroit who use Hydroxycut Laura Quinn and it worked for her but the eight I get your results may vary we have to you have to study I mean you can't just say I took is not defined you have to look to see people who did it that it didn't get it otherwise you won't really don't know how it works you're right and then you know okay if there's something pre existing condition or something you know maybe it's blood type or something who knows and it doesn't work for you in this particular application that's but you need to know that stuff so yeah I I I get what's going on there SO two years we're looking at take can you take us through how the trial works how how the whole process is what they're doing right now and where it needs to go in order to get a covert nineteen action what sort of many different strategies used to make the vaccine either you took a whole killed virus attenuated virus sort of these purified protein which is which is we have perhaps had a spear HPV vaccines that were using the sort of back to backs seems like we have for bowlers thank you those are all different approaches that are being used M. RNA DNA they're now they're just beginning to be serviced all those ranging studies I mean they don't even know the Toshiba and they don't know you know what your response they're looking more to say this is the new response is going to protect you so we're just at the beginning of August which is not required to keep the children's hospital put up with it about the world of ours actually which came on to the market to that since I was a twenty six year effort and that it's typical for what it takes to make back seats with the notes that you could do it in two years with more complete remarkably tests in it at the point you start doing clinical trials we start testing how long is it in that period before usually typically get results back from a good cross section of society who is in that trial yes Sir so what sort of the final phase safety efficacy problems those files usually involves tens of thousands of people I imagine for this it would really depend on what the attack rated in other words how confident the virus at the time they do that trial because you need to have enough people on both sides to say it's safe and effective the only way to know whether it's active some people get sick and some people don't so that's going to be determined I imagine that trial alone would have to take a minimum of the year Dr Paul Offit if we have a simple question dumb question but right now we're getting the testing of the some point we're gonna have it and it we've got this five minute three minute test whatever it is for covert nineteen Kentucky they're setting up right now as we speak tends to be able to do jet near the Kroger parking lot of all things in order to do drive through testing for people it's going to be in your doctor's office like soon if we can develop a test that quickly determine if you are covered positive or not why does it take so long to outside of the trials may be clinical trials and also the other you're studying people why is it takes a long to develop a vaccine well if I if I could posit you mean inspected or do you mean that you've got to go up and your response demeanor I guess would be the response what what's happening with the testing I guess itself and how that relates to the vaccine if we know what's caught with if we're able to find what triggers a positive result in a test would it be easier to get a vaccine at that point if we know what's triggering that make sense yeah yeah it's not says you're naturally affected with this virus I think the odds are you're gonna be protected against the disease associated with retail that buyers for two years I think it's very likely that that's what your background of ours which circulate all the time that's true the two that's not the same thing as being then successfully meet any nice with the vaccine because actually in fact it is going to do for different immune response to being vaccinated so sweet that there for you you have to do try out to see what the response is being induced by the vaccine is protective the only way to do that is with large efficacy trials you can't say okay I'll give it a shot this this person this vaccine they have this to be responsible for I think they're gonna be protected you don't know that so you do have to see okay got makes sense Dr Paul Offit is the director vaccine education center at children's Philadelphia also has a book called overkill in modern medicine goes too far and he's an expert he he invented dot co inventor of the a rotavirus vaccine called aerotek that the CDC and the World Health Organization recommended for all children speaking of the latter there the World Health Organization I wanted drag you into the political mock goodness knows your hands are full already with the with the culvert mock but president trump finally saying Hey listen to them the world health organization's talk about this earlier you know what you guys did this big thing of the FDA it and their role as a gatekeeper what about the World Health Organization and how they've treated trying do you think this is overblown or a long time coming or without merit I mean you prefer this country what we did we have adequate intelligence information that there was a pandemic that was spreading in in China to to tell us that we should get ready to be shipped has prepared we should spend travel that we start thinking about how to lock down a place at times and wind that we know that we do we do it certainly by mid January there was plenty of time to get ready we did we did we failed in many ways certainly believe he's getting tests out there the south Korean done two hundred thousand tests on the citizens before we've done five hundred they're not they're not scientifically more advanced and we are there's no reason we could've done that's why we work with which stop pointing fingers or trying to stop pointing fingers at World Health Organization I just starting look at how we can do better as to make it better practice and I think that's a valid a valid criticism too is that you know it it's like can we do better next we learn from this mistake I guess is or the delay in this but the other hand of course it doesn't happen in a vacuum I look at South Korea in Asian countries and that it seems to me from my layperson's view doc is is it seems like every time you see the images coming out of South Korea or any Asian country about a third of the population is wearing a mask at any one time and that they're far more quipped in used to this kind of stuff there versus here in the United States I knew that that sort of phenomenon Asian wearing masks if you go there during the winter months and they're often all over right but again I think yeah we we could have to a variety of mechanisms made sure that our our front line response to help you workers had the basket personal protective equipment they needed we can do that among the many things we haven't done but again you're you're right I mean I think we'll look back on this story two years from now I know who the heroes and villains were I'm just not sure we know exactly who they are right now right and I wish to god to hopefully we learn from this that's one thing we're bad at is not just falling back on old habits going Hey listen we need a national stockpile this is a good test this could've been much much much worse and I think you got a credit Americans like those myself yourself others listening going Hey we took it seriously most of us did anyway you know we we or social distancing or stand or work or using hand sanitizer as evidenced by the fact you can find any yeah where do I I I am shocked to think that we were able to pull this thing off I I'm really impressed with my fellow man and that never happens you see the worst of people all the time in a hospital you know what I'm talking about what was it about did you yeah and this this is a it's it's a we we're we're able to do this so and we're we're gonna win the war Dr Paul Offit at some of the things you mentioned to the book and it is getting interesting this ties into covert too is that acts a fever is actually good you know my mom and I'm sure everyone's mom grew up as a kid got if you had a fever you know she's given the aspirin and temperatures and.

"Up at Breitbart dot com you sent it to me a yes the day it's an interview with commissioner Hahn of the F. D. A. big big news with regards to the Chinese coronavirus said the main details with the audience on America first yes so for some doctor Hein is a world renowned oncologist before president trump appointed them to the to the to lead the FDA food drug administration he's a member of the obviously if the car buyers task force is one of the leading doctors and scientists on the team working with president trump to try to get through this crisis and re open the country he says were winning or winning the war with coronavirus that the efforts that Americans are taking cross the country whether be what you're doing drugs work what I'm doing here all these people across America who are doing this social distancing is working I was seeing the curve is getting flattened where at or near the peak of the curve is what he said so where where we're winning the fight here and but perhaps more importantly than that then that is we've got more ammunition on the way to fight and defeat the invisible enemy so first and foremost obviously the FDA has made it easier for doctors even though the FDA has approved hydroxy Cork went on which is the anti viral anti malarial drugs it has approved it it has approved it for that purpose but not for this new purpose right so what they were with what they've done is they've made it easy so that if a doctor decides that it's the right medicine for a patient with the cover nineteen with corona virus they can prescribe it for this purpose even though it is an FDA approved for this purpose so they've made it so that doctors can do that that's because the events call the off label permissive use so now and we hear incredible stories men from across the country of doctors who have saved lives because of this drug that the president called a potential game changer right but not just the hydroxy court points to the more exciting stuff I think from the interview with Dr Hahn is the stuff that they're doing with regard to plasma convalescent yes as much as what it's called so convalescent plasma is people who recover from from corona virus of people have been infected they've recovered they've developed antibodies to protect them from getting it again what happens is they they can go to a like a red cross or something any kind of blood bank across country and donate plasma then that scientists in the doctors and the drug companies and take that plasma from the people who have died down this and they did they find the antibodies and it and then they can either I DO which straight up true plasmin fusions to really sick patients but the more exciting thing is is the other two things that they're doing with it so they're doing this thing where there they can then take it and then scale it up into internet into a what's called a a concentrated form of it in almost like a booster shot right of a hyper immune globulin so that that that way they can provide it's not a full blown vaccine don't get me wrong you're right it's not like permanent immunity from the disease but what it is is it weird provide the antibodies until such time as somebody whoever gets it you know wipes out that the shot out for an extended period of time we don't know how long it depends it's different for each person so on and so forth but if they can turn these into the the hyper immune globulin shots they can at least get our frontline health care workers to have the antibodies in their system so that way they can avoid getting infection they can do this as a prophylaxis they can also do it as treatment if they want to on that front the other thing that they've got that he told me about that he hasn't told anybody else about yet is they've added a lot of drug companies out there across the country they're working on what's called monoclonal antibodies are where they're going to take the antibodies for again from these plasmons and then they can scale it up and turn these into odd things to designs to try to get the antibodies and help the the general public have immunity on this so again while we're beating the virus we're now getting more ammunition on the way to win this war and and that's the point from Dr Heinz interview are they make clear and then also not to mention the fact of record time that they've been yes I need to get a vaccine into human trials and there's a lot of other promising staff on the therapeutics on the plasma treatments but the plasma treatments has some really exciting stuff and I think that that's the thing that they're most hopeful and excited about because he calls it a quote bridge to a vaccine that is raging back Giles standing information not only the fact that Matt Boyle on my show use the phrase Mani mono clonal antibodies but the fact that every everything in government is moving at what I called the speed of trump whether it is the first phase of a potential vaccine testing whether it's already the Albert lebar trees point.

"You sent it to me a yes the day it's an interview with commissioner Hahn of the F. D. A. big big news with regards to the Chinese coronavirus said the main details with the audience to an America first yes so for some doctor Han is a world renowned oncologist before president trump appointed him to the to the actually the FDA food drug administration he's a member of the obviously if the current Irish task force is one of the leading doctors and scientists on the team working with president trump to try to get through this crisis and re open the country he says we're winning we're winning the war with coronavirus that the efforts that Americans are taking cross the country whether be what you're doing Dr Gorka what I'm doing here all these people across America who are doing this social distancing is working I was seeing the curve is getting flattened we're at or near the peak of the curve is what he said so we're we're we're winning the fight here and but perhaps more importantly than that then that is we've got more ammunition on the way to fight and defeat the invisible enemy so first and foremost obviously the FDA has made it easier for doctors even though the FDA has approved hydroxy Clark went on which is the anti viral anti malarial drug has approved it it has approved it for that purpose but not for this new purpose right there so what they were but what they've done is they've made it easy so that if a doctor decides that it's the right medicine for a patient with the cover nineteen with corona virus they can prescribe it for this purpose even though it is an FDA approved for this purpose and they've made it so that doctors can do that that's cool that's cool the off label permissive use so now and we hear incredible stories about from across the country of doctors who have saved lives because of this drug that the president called a potential game changer right but not just the hydroxy Cork went to the more exciting stuff I think from the interview with Dr Hahn is the stuff that they're doing with regard to plasma convalescent yes last night is what it's called to convalescent plasma is people who recover from from corona virus of people who have been infected they've recovered they've developed antibodies to protect them from getting it again what happens is they they can go to a like a red cross or something any kind of blood bank across country and donate plasma than that scientists in the doctors and the drug companies and take that plasma from the people who have that done this and they did they find the antibodies and it and then they can either I do you want straight up for about plasmin fusions to really sick patients but the more exciting thing is is the other two things that they're doing with it so they're doing this thing where there they can then take it and then scale it up into internet into a what's called the a concentrated form of it in that almost like a booster shot right of the hyper immune globulin so that that that way they can provide it's not a full blown vaccine don't get me wrong you're right it's not like permanent immunity from the disease but what it is is it would provide the antibodies until such time somebody's liver cancer you know wipes out that the shot out for an extended period of time we don't know how long it took hands it's different for each person so on and so forth but if they can turn these into the the hyper immune globulin shots they can at least get our frontline healthcare workers to have the antibodies in their system so that way they can avoid getting infection they can do this is a prophylaxis they can also do it as treatment if they want to on that front the other thing that they've got that he told me about that he hasn't told anybody else about yet is they've added a large drug companies out there across the country they're working on what's called monoclonal antibodies I would they gonna take the antibodies for again from these plasma tens and then they can scale it up and turn these into odd things to designs to try to get the antibodies and help the the general public having unity on this so again while we're beating the virus we're now getting more ammunition on the way to win this war and and that's the point from Dr Heinz interview on the make clear and then also not to mention the fact that record time that they've been yes I need to get a vaccine into human trials and there's a lot of other promising stuff on the therapeutics on the plasma treatments but the plasma treatments has some really exciting stuff and I think that that's the thing that they are most hopeful and excited about because he calls it a quote bridge to a vaccine that is registered activists us standing information not only the fact that Matt Boyle on my show use the phrase Mani mono clonal antibodies but the fact that every everything in government is moving at what I called the speed of trump whether it is the first phase of a potential vaccine testing whether it's already the Albert lebar trees point of care testing whether it's these incredible devote developments regarding plasma that he has reported that Matt has reported from the director of the FDA incredible incredible stock tag this Matt on Twitter at M. Boyle one we will be back with Matt in a moment here on America first broadcasting from the relief factor dot com studios relief factor if you suffer daily pain there you must try really factor.

"So yeah I mean we're gonna do a lot of corona we've got Seema Verma she is the administrator for Medicaid Medicare with the administration you probably see her on stage in the past week she's been on stage with the president so I have her on to talk about Medicaid Medicare you guys have to worry if you if you rely on those things and she'll give you the answer lieutenant governor Dan Patrick grace to Texas was on Tucker Carlson as I've heard this album yes I have yeah immediately started trending today is a friend of mine he's a good guy and a great lieutenant governor governor I just think that he's a straight shooter B. cares about traditional conservative values he cares about the state of Texas he was also recalls the last night talking as a grandfather and if you just took what Twitter tweeted and you know the the the may have the doctor because Dan Patrick went on Tucker Carlson last night to say grandmothers and grandfathers should die to save the economy that's really what they were saying he said and what's interesting is and I'm learning more about this and I've been to social media for a while central as much as I can what's interesting is the people who are who are complaining starting this trend actually linked a part of the interview and I watch would be linked and it doesn't say that at all not all he's gonna be a grandfather who wants a good strong robust America great America for his kids and grandkids and basically if I'm more at risk because he's gonna be seventy next week if I'm more risk because we re open the economy I'm okay I'll make that trade off for my kids my grandkids no where is that does he say grandmother grandfather should die to save the economy doesn't I got a month today we got did today about that okay we'll get it straight from you know your info over here get the showdown okay before work I've been working since I've been here I want to get cannabis something that kinda but that never had the focus is your what is what is that is the target I think it's a tiny or Vietnamese I'm not sure if something like that and it's got a little broth then it's got these very like so the cellophane noodles and my husband the brisket at because that's what he had barbecued ribs or brisket in its nexus phobia is really good with the mushrooms in the spring onions and acha yeah okay is it salty if it's salty in a little bit yeah the brought the salty yeah a little bit I like it I thought it might have an I think you're like over no it's all it's gone it's gone it is gone go down because you've got to some of the we have to have a bowl and a little small yeah they they finished it off yeah very good I have some photos of a restaurant thank you I would invite you over for the social distancing thing you know and trust me you have a social justice and for fifteen years so it's all over us every like everybody else every day but not yeah exactly our eight eight nine four one tags eight eight nine four one seven two four seven as we've been doing we'll take your phone calls just to give an update I I'm trying to do a Facebook live everyday and other Facebook lives just an update on what I know what I've heard the spelling so the rumors that are out there like Dan Patrick once great the dollar that's true we will of course attack that there is a lie out there in the mainstream media I'm talking NBC news see CNN that a couple took hydroxy chloride cleaned and the husband died the woman's in ICU so the headlines or even coupled takes suggested medicine yeah hello Kitty are in individuals on how that's responsible so what I will hit that would because a lot of you watching social media believe it an NBC reporter actually said they took core Quinn and later had to correct yourself put corrected two hours later and the question to get anywhere near the morality that the original posted the president is talking about and Kerry feel free to jump in to correct me if I get it wrong about medical scientist I'm not a doctor about a medical expert let me tell me tell you what I know and you can jump it is anything in the news that you saw the correct that's all right the presence talking about hydroxy Cork when a truck to call record is an FDA approved medicine that can be prescribed by doctors and its main indication is to fight malaria hydroxy core claim again is a medicine it's a drug approved by the FDA sometime ago and it's major indication is usage is to fight malaria does it does it again yeah pretty clear so gas over time yeah the FDA has to approve medicines hydroxy Clark Wade has been approved by the FDA food drug administration sometime ago to be a good useful medicine to fight malaria that's the the disease that you can get from skaters that carry malaria the couple in question took some chloroquine phosphate parkland phosphate is used to clean fish tanks and aquariums it was not prescribed by a doctor it was not prescribed for them to fight malaria or corona virus they took something that kinda sorta look like something they heard about and one died it was in the ICU are there any questions about what I just said no any questions yes I have not I want to say it again hi drug Sikora quit as a medicine Laura Quinn phosphate is a fish tank cleaner yes don't eat fish tank cleaner in fact if somebody you know has hydroxy core quite available in their home because they've had a prescribed to fight malaria don't take it don't unless your doctor prescribes it and says this is something you should try now is hydroxy chloroquine known it to fight the corona virus no there is however no let me give you the difference between a carriage of at any time because I know you will by the way I want to correct you anecdotal evidence means I got a specific story where the results are itching to work could have a bunch of anecdotal evidence which is not scientific but there is weight to it it means that okay maybe we should look into this more that's a doctor found she's been saying talk about you says we should do because I'm a scientist he said we should do scientific studies and I keep trying this on a study group to see if in fact it is effective against the virus the president is hopeful that it will work and again there are anecdotal stories Laurie requested it on her show talking to somebody right in the hospital I was given a drug to core Quinn and look at how much better I am the other kind of evidence is empirical empirical evidence is evidence actually gathered through controlled studies scientific studies we do not have complete empirical evidence we do however have anecdotal evidence that this could be effective so this is I'm just gonna wrap it all up it took a little box for you what I've said is verifiably true go online just not to the mainstream media because they've been lying about this for almost a day now hydroxy Cork when a medicine that can be prescribed by your doctor if your doctor thinks it's worth trying because of whatever reason you're facing it is a medicine that works to fight malaria chloroquine phosphate is used to clean your fish tank don't drink or take or inject anything that used to clean something and again when you go to just the next step to make sure they were very very clear about this even if you know somebody who has hydroxy Cork when the medicine don't take it unless somebody subscribe somebody prescribes it to you if it's not prescribed it's not for you it might help you your doctor will prescribe it I have I have I said this is you have it pretty crystal clear I would mention the actual headline from KTAR but I make sure I have this right because first of all the headline of a story written by Heidi prince Billah at NBC her husband is dead and she's in the ICU after ingesting Cora Quinn we saw trump on TV every channel and all of his buddies and that would that was safe she said trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure she implored the person to educate the people something something later two hours later how do you preserve bila corrected by saying they actually took and it was two hours later they actually took something that that is used to clean aquariums the president is never said you should take it it's safe for you to take it he said it's been proven safe by the FDA because it's gone through the process and it's safe to be prescribed as a medicine but I don't about to die this is gonna sound heartless but if you're stupid there's nothing people can really do to stop you because everybody's got the Clorox at home and so he mentioned Clorox unit drink it no clearly the president was talking about a medicine that the FDA has approved don't take anything on your own don't sell prescribe anything and Google is not your friend when it comes to stopping coronavirus eight eight nine four one tags eight eight nine four one seven two four seven Joe pags dot com stayer the NHL HM from the "One thing that's right for us is our next guest because he has a wealth of information on gut health you know with all the it is you know and I've covered in in the first hour of the program there are so many probiotic products on the market now and with all the probiotic pretenders the wanna bees on the need to use this scientist is the real deal let me tell you he built the original factories that all these other probiotic companies used to buy their raw materials from so he knows that he knows this science like the back of his hand he is Randy prep can our resident biochemist and microbiologist we'll talk about the immune system and the connection between gut health and respiratory health and how can how you can fortify yourself against not only the corona virus but many other viruses and bacterial infections and we'd like to welcome him once again to the doctor health radio microphones this morning good morning Randy how the health area good morning David a low fine thank you thank you so much for being there and doing all the research that you do and have done for decades and decades what forty years now is that fifty maybe maybe a half a century who knows forty give it a party even though you've been on this show for about fifteen years that's a that's beside the point let's let's talk about the connection you know everybody with the corona virus and the news about an hour every day if not every hour everybody is so paranoid about catching this particular virus but let's talk about non specific community and how we can fortify herself again say no I want to be an alarmist and say that this particular product is good for this particular virus but let let's talk about nonspecific immunity and how we can boost our immune system without over stimulating and of course but boosting it against any kind of have a genic them diseases such as other coronavirus sure yeah what disappoints me right now David is that and I are more watching the news daily three four times a day to keep track of what's going on with this virus and I got a number of sites that I follow and what's bothering me is that the the governments particularly the US government is not making any suggestions to people is what they can do to treat themselves at home that might give them better odds sitting at home washing your hands every couple minutes exactly and you know I can I can talk about how our products support the immune system and that's a claim that the FDA food drug administration allows probiotic manufacturers to make providing they've got the evidence on their strange so we can we can talk about supporting the immune system and having a healthy immune system is number one R. R. I was just looking over at the theater the Talladega figures this morning the death rate now for the corona viruses between two and a half and three and a half percent Maria today reported a seven percent death rate well why is that why the difference all of people are packed in the soul I urge this population density what you think that China would be even higher because of their population density but maybe not maybe not in the office pretty hard I've been all over this over Southeast Asia in Asia it's pretty hard to beat heck active and feeling that you get into a career oh really okay the events of both countries okay yep and who who is typically a less than one percent death rate that's right one tenth of one percent commonly as of this morning there were ninety seven countries infected two days ago was forty four one hundred two thousand people involved three thousand four sixty two deaths in the USA the death rate is seventeen out of two hundred cases so this is not something to joke about no not at all you know you and I have talked over the years about what you should do to stay healthy you know no smoking no drinking or root reserve drinking I've put it that way the food diet no exercise or exercise all those things are are more important now than there ever been that's right and they've never been you gotta keep your body healthy because what the CDC is telling users keep washing your hands yeah yeah I mean that that's that's a good start but that's not all you want to do I mean it's it's ridiculous I I heard another talk show is not a health host but he's saying get a vaccination and and will you wash your hands a you know this is to avoid the flu virus but also washing your hands to avoid the corona virus or any any other communicable diseases but I mean that's that's a good start of course the foundation but yeah like you were mentioning exercise is medicine sleep as medicine nutrition as medicine I mean all these other things are are are the pillars of good health and that's going to strengthen the host so that you're going to be more resistant to any any other things that that you might encounter in the environment right now let's not talk about the speaking of environments let's talk about the microbiome our internal environment that actually that were more bacteria reside in our gut than than content are contained in the cells of the the number of cells in our body our our products if these probiotics there like a particular and these enzymes employees in particular have done well in the past there are need to today is more than it's ever been we need to make people's immune system strong so before before I get into the actual details let me just go over the immune system quickly and on a brief recap I know are we number that diagram I drew up for expo west some years ago I think so there was a chore a new system out of balance on a scale yeah yeah there's two halves to the immune system Thursday may have been the acquired half and you need help involves the T. "For you well one thing that's right for us is our next guest because he has a wealth of information on gut health you know with all the there it is you know and I've covered in in the first hour of the program there are so many probiotic products on the market now and with all the probiotic pretenders the wanna bees on the me toos the scientist is the real deal let me tell you he built the original factories that all these other probiotic companies used to buy their raw materials from so he knows that he knows this science like the back of his hand he is ready prep can our resident biochemists and microbiologists we'll talk about the immune system and the connection between gut health and respiratory health and how can how you can fortify yourself against not only the corona virus but many other viruses and bacterial infections and we'd like to welcome him once again to the doctor health radio microphones this morning good morning Randy held a health are you hello I'm fine thank you thank you so much for being there and doing all the research that you do and have done for decades and decades what forty years now is that fifty maybe maybe a half a century who knows forty give it a party even though you've been on this show for about fifteen years that's a that's beside the point let's let's talk about the connection you know everybody with the corona virus and the news about an hour every day if not every hour everybody is so paranoid about catching this particular virus but let's talk about non specific community and how we can fortify herself again say no I want to be an alarmist and say that this particular product is good for this particular virus but let let's talk about nonspecific immunity and how we can boost our immune system without over stimulating and of course a bunch of boosting it against any kind of allergenic diseases such as other coronavirus sure yeah what disappoints me right now David is that and I are more from watching the news daily three four times a day to keep track of what's going on with this virus and I got a number of sites that I follow and what's bothering me is that the the governments particularly the US government is not making any suggestions to people is what they can do to treat themselves at home that might give them better odds sitting at home washing your hands every couple minutes exactly and you know I can I can talk about how our products support the immune system and that's a claim that the FDA food drug administration allows probiotic manufacturers to make providing they've got the evidence on their strange so we can we can talk about supporting the immune system and having a healthy immune system is number one R. R. I was just looking over at the foot to the Talladega figures this morning the death rate now for the corona viruses between two and a half and three and a half percent Maria today reported a seven percent death rate well why is that why the difference all of people are packed into soul urge this population density when you think that China would be even higher because of their population density but maybe not maybe not in the office pretty hard not all over this over Southeast Asia in Asia it's pretty hard to beat packed in feeling that you get into a career oh really okay the events of both countries okay yep and flu flu is typically a less than one percent death rate that's right one tenth of one percent commonly as of this morning there were ninety seven countries infected two days ago was forty four hundred two thousand people involved three thousand four sixty two deaths in the USA the death rate is seventeen out of two hundred cases so this is not something to joke about no not at all you know you and I have talked over the years about what you should do to stay healthy you know no smoking no drinking or root reserve drinking has put it that way the food diet no exercise or exercise all those things are are more important now than it ever been that's right I've never been you gotta keep your body healthy because what the CDC is telling you this is keep washing your hands yeah yeah I mean that that's that's a good start but that's not all you want to do I mean it's it's ridiculous I I heard another talk shows not only helps the host but he's saying get a vaccination and and will you wash your hands you know this is to avoid the flu virus but also washing your hands to avoid the corona virus or any any other communicable diseases but I mean that's that's a good start of course the foundation but yeah like you were mentioning exercise is medicine sleep as medicine nutrition as medicine I mean all these other things are are are the pillars of good health and that's going to strengthen the host so that you're going to be more resistant to any any other things that that you might encounter in the environment right now let's not talk about the speaking of environments let's talk about the microbiome our internal environment that actually were more bacteria reside in our gut and then can take are contained in the cells of the the number of cells in our body our our products if these probiotics there like a particular and these enzymes employees in particular have done well in the past there are need to today is more than it's ever been we need to make people's immune system strong so before before I get into the actual details let me just go over the immune system quickly and on a brief recap I know are we number that diagram I drew up for expo west from years ago I think so there was a chore the new system out of balance on a scale yeah yeah there's two halves to the immune system Thursday may have been the acquired half and yet may have involved the T. H. one these T. cells and they acquired half the PH two B. cells okay you're born with your innate abilities the ability of PH one to produce cytokines like TNF alpha interferon gamma interleukin six let's not lose too many people because most people are not bio chemists that are bouncing to the show but I I don't want to do okay that's a good point but we are going through a little bit okay sure it's that's how our regular explain how the microbes are working okay yeah don't have a funny way these these cytokines are chemical messengers with big names activate the cells in your immune system that can digest and then involved bacteria and viruses macro viruses the neutrophils and the in case a killer cells all are activated by the the T. H. one T. cells which are on the inmate side of the immune system you're born with a and it's a highly inflammatory process the issue swelled your you have pain is reading this but this is important as a first step that's right not lactobacilli support this step do you like this was last up was the only one street in their like for example it's been clinically tested to show that it has activity but on this side of the immune system no no I let me stop you there ready he can I can I S. soon that this particular Lactobacillus strain does is it more powerful than the other Lactobacillus strains and other products maybe or other foods or how do they arrive at that the word I wouldn't use the word powerful I would use the word selective it's a bill it's ability to colonize living tissue and even the human intestinal tract is what is the number one characteristic I see okay the end it better produce lactic acid which is the other week food acid but it's the number one weapon that probiotics used to keep the bad guys at bay and what school soffit officers there's approximately two hundred strange about that office in the world so you've got to have the the proper strain that can colonize and you better deliver billions of alive through the intestinal tract N. as guy I'm sorry isn't that why go ahead I'll just finish your thought sorry about that we talk about the patents that we've got in that that's one of the things that makes their like magic or was that all these dollies bacteria get through alive so they can confront the the undesirable said on yeah regarding lactic acid isn't that why people consume fermented foods because of the lactic acid that being said officials the jury saw our crowd or if you need a key for yogurt the lactic acid in that food is going to have an immediate controlling affect on the microbiome flora but it won't last more than one million one one day if if if that's even a full day one probiotics that colonized who is continuously produce lactic acid in small quantities so that there's no gaps between when you have worked together when you don't okay so it's like a little factory that you're setting up in your body in your intestines to manufacture your own pro lactic acid yeah but you certainly can eat these fermented foods and they can be synergistic with taking a live up probiotics okay so anyway the the innate immune system you're born with a few choir to Munich system as the other right hand affect that's the one that the the the B. cells Rick Ross are making antibodies okay and the T. H. to help ourselves along with the bill for the bacteria in a probiotic support this required community leader also called cellular and humoral innate immune system works it within the cells and between the cells apartment system works in the bloodstream okay that's why it's also called the moral I sent the important thing they return them to the listeners is balance we've got to make sure that we don't over stimulate the immune system get all the pieces resulting yeah what they call a cytokine storm which is when too much of the M. eight messages both the NFL five in a game of molecules accumulate over stimulate the immune system and now the body starts attacking itself how a lot of people die from respiratory illnesses and and Connecticut diseases yeah you know these people are falling over dead on the street in China there is that's the second time that the with the color coded nineteen viruses attack them they got over the first time in a couple weeks a week or two went by and then they got re infected highly unusual for a virus right they got re infected and it was partly due to auto immune response that at least in the case of the autopsy and hello remarked that it did it would make your hardware wow interesting.

"Is Chuck and Mike here today we got Tucker on board as well and we continue to monitor what frankly been a historically challenging week for equity markets as we sit here at the moment we have all three major U. S. indices well into negative territory the Dow's off three and a half percent the S. and P. off about three one the nasdaq holding up best today down about two point five percent but we are getting close to the point I want to take a look actually as to how much further we have the Dow I believe is closest to bear market territory right now but I want to see exactly where it currently is just in comparison there we still have yet was still a little ways to go until we get to bear market territory bear market territory being a twenty percent correction yeah there is if we'll tell you we haven't seen since two thousand and eleven yeah we we had an intra day one in twenty eighteen but we did not get a close in a bear market the end of twenty eighteen but if this continues quite honestly for one more day if this were to continue the same pass into Monday the Dow would be in bear market territory it then down north of twenty percent in the S. and P. would probably be there on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week at this point Sir we're talking Charlie Gasparino earlier and you know he pointed out that he would like to see my pants or just health officials in general speaking to the American public more than once a day and we haven't been seen that but I've been seeing Larry Kudlow on TV almost every day this week and that's in one way I guess reassuring that they're very concerned about the economic impact here but I don't think that's what people want to hear I don't think anybody really wants to hear it respect Larry Kudlow is a friend of the show but I don't think even investors want to hear the white house's opinion on the stock market right now I think they want to hear experts opinions on what we're doing to slow the spread of the corona virus that's what investors are reacting to and I don't think any commentary about the white house's opinion on the economy or the stock market is being taken seriously well in in in look the economy is going to move based on how well you deal with this from a health perspective suddenly a couple out there on a point Kudlow for going out he's not going out there because he wants to be an actor okay the economy will move based on how well you handle this from a health perspective and so what I want to see more than anything else give ME CDC heads give me local you know what health you know people who run hospital group there given that the head of you know partners healthcare out there in Massachusetts give me the heads of Kaiser Permanente in California give me the people who are on the ground and know what's going on on a regular basis when you traveler Kudlow out there and again I love Larry we've had a monster we have a feel for what like five or six years right he's not the one you need to be putting out there right now what would you put Larry Kudlow out there you were telling people the stock market is more important than lives yeah and it's not okay and that's and that's I think that's a far step I mean I don't I don't think they're saying that I think they're I think they are sure investors right now because markets are in free fall I get that but I think it would reassure everybody a lot more free and health experts speaking that's all that's all I'm gonna say on that I want to talk a little bit about some kind of mixed messages that I see that we're getting there here that states I think most experts are saying that this gets a lot worse before it gets better I've heard from large companies saying that they're banning all international travel I've gave we've heard a lot of different stories we saw the Nassau County report where seventy some odd people were being monitored but internationally specifically in mainland China yeah well obviously the Chinese government's gonna tell everybody that everything's hunky dory but one thing that really surprised me from yesterday was Starbucks re opening eighty five percent of their shops I don't know what to make of it I don't either but I don't think that an American conservative company which maybe start services in a conservative company but I don't think they would irresponsibly reopen restaurants in that country unless they felt pretty confident that they could do so safely yeah and and so here's what I'm kind of coming around to in terms of let's assume that this gets to an outbreak in the U. S. because I think quite honestly it's very likely just based on every single major public health officials saying that it's very likely yeah okay that that's what I'm basing this on by and large I don't really know what to make of the Chinese numbers I don't know what to make of Singapore which is a very transparent albeit still somewhat authoritarian government yep okay Singapore has largely contain this thing and they still have a little bit of spreading going on but by and large Singapore has contain this thing the way that they've done it I don't know if it would fly in the United States it in this is kind of what I'm coming around to when you talk about the measures that need to be taken to contain the potential spread of it when you start talking about large scale surveillance and and kind of cordoning off of areas of you know concern when you talk about mass cancellation of large scale group activities things like the NHL the NBA the masters March madness I don't know how palatable and how realistic it is to do those things in this country without people getting really really upset and I'm not saying that we should value you know people's feelings over doing the right thing but but that's the difference between democracy and authoritarianism yeah that's the difference what I'm saying is I don't know if we're willing to go to that place this case and I don't like hundreds that do those things but Singapore's been remarkably effective in containing this word Italy has not yet yeah I think those are facts that we have to consider yeah the spread in Italy is increasing exponentially Singapore data popping up a couple here and there but you know it's like it's by and large contains my take would be from that and I know that I'm interpreting a lot from one piece of information here with Starbucks but I'm extrapolating a little bit but my take on this is that it is extremely contagious but it may be something that is relatively quick to wash through a population and contains once it's understood and gets to a certain level the other item that's unclear on this and I've seen conflicting reports so again I state that it's unclear we don't know if you can be reinfection with this man you know so for example once you get chicken pox you generally don't get it again right you get the flu every year though because it mutates they're different strains and so on and so forth we don't really know if you can be reinfection with this at this point is that something that you know kind of puts this out there a little bit differently as well so I think it's still until we get clarity on these items it's tough to move away from recommending significant precautions and the problem is I think it's gonna take a month or two to sort through what this looks like in a developed country with a robust healthcare system we don't know what the mortality rates can be in the U. S. yeah we we don't know what this point what it's going to be and I I think it's gonna be a challenge to get a handle on that as we go here I think that's gonna be the the biggest thing preventing us from moving forward is that we don't know what we don't know got a seven great west let's move away from corona viruses just a little bit there are a few other things that are going on today and so let's talk a little bit about beyond meat and and where they stand today simply because they're obviously trying to continue to ramp up in the face in a boat load a new competition as well Cargill getting into that game earlier this week thanks to SO I mean a lot of competition as well as a pretty well organized group of meat producers that don't want to see this be successful and so you're seeing your advertising criticism from beef producers I think you you saw Super Bowl after the beef producer yes you yep basically critiquing this for being highly processed and unhealthy and so beyond me then D. A. all of them are trying to fight back against those criticisms and did a say that they are healthy alternative and as you pointed out as we pointed out I think the answer is that it's probably somewhere in the middle I don't think it's some healthy miracle food it's probably somewhere about the health impact of eating a big fatty burger yeah if if if we on the spectrum of vegetables right okay if we compare it to a fresh piece the kale right from the ground and then on the other side compared to a potato chip deep fried potato chips it's between there we don't know exactly where but it's somewhere in the middle and you know I wonder what we're gonna learn the more that we kind of learn about these things I'm I'm glad that they're doing I I would assume that if they're gonna start advertising that they're healthy I'm gonna also assume that they're actually doing some sort of studies on that danger society is a dangerous option but I would like to learn a little bit more about the actual health impact of these hi they are highly processed products yeah absolutely all vegetables but they're highly processed so they're gonna come out of the marketing strategy just go against that I mean I saw one the day after the Superbowl commercial put together by either impossible foods and beyond meat I don't remember but it is not our job the amount of feces that is generally a what in ground beef what yeah really yeah there is a study by the I don't know whatever the the feces me there's a study by whatever that is the guy who's FDA food drug administration yeah the Exxon Mobil have feces contamination is that John B. from United States might shock you what is the acceptable now I I don't I don't have a staff well I would there be feces in meat house I don't know craps I know but like when you talk about like the tenderloin sure it's not near the boat yeah just put it out there in plain terms but you never know you know articles you know when you're having there when you haven't pork belly it's under the pig not behind the pits in the belly let's take a break according to trivia here on the financial exchange and then also we can talk about why Bob Eiger is pulling the record and get the heck out of Disney this market updates come.

"Materials well the act the other argument on that by the way is that the FDA food drug administration has been way too lax and not investigating the products sufficiently and that's at least in part why we have such a mess that we have now is that if you think a how quickly this industry rose and how excessive all the products became in relatively short order now that it poses such a significant health hazard you would have thought that there would have been more in investigations as to what the the substances were that people were allowed to ingestion how this health threat was allowed to SO grow so quickly unfortunately it doesn't appear that we have a lot of data of the science that underlies any of this and so now there are everyone's trying to recover and figure out well what what really have people been doing with these substances for a number years let's move on to the admissions scandal well there's been more there has been movement since your last visit Felicity Huffman got two weeks in jail. I. other parents one recently got another four months in jail yeah and as we move forward the likelihood is they'll be even more time spent in jail for instance Lori Laughlin and her husband are still expected they pled not guilty they have not entered into a plea arrangement but they are expected if say if they are convicted that they will do their time will be measured in years really not months so she's a poster child. fire what not to do correct right Kerry hurt from the outset she has not seen remorseful at all the remember the first time she went to court she was smiling and laughing and high fiving a lot of the the folks that were outside it it might as well have been and the the fact is is that they have I'll likely because of their actions to face this certainly for. privileged people a significant period of time incarcerated the problem is that despite. all of our ideas about equal justice the fact is most of these people for felonies are facing relatively little time in jail when there are people who have committed fraud or theft of honest services in other capacities that are serving significant amounts of time in eight it raises the question again whether because of someone status they are treated differently in a justice system than others who have done far less and faced significantly greater punishments some of these kids are adult age right and yes I guess it's said that they didn't know but come on that it seems ridiculous on the face of it how could you not know. you're going to school on a some sort of sports scholarship but you don't play the sport package it out now well that's for some of them but is with that and that's probably likely why Felicity Huffman face such little time because it wasn't the make believe you're on the crew team a make believe you're a tennis pro are water polo person it was simply that she was manipulating the system and and the test scores. unbeknownst to her daughter and the judge tell Lonnie thought that that meant that she was less culpable and by the way the the the bride the payment was a relatively modest amount of less than twenty thousand dollars she thought that major less culpable than for instance Lori Laughlin who paid north I believe of five hundred thousand dollars end header daughter participate in some pictures that would indicate she was part of the crew team and really engaged her child in the fraud to a greater extent and I think and in looking at the more recent sentences what that means is that the judge is going to consider her much more culpable than for instance of full Felicity Huffman and some of the other parents but all of the parents as we're looking at it a likely looking at some period of jail time but there are many people that question that if if if these were people of color they would be facing much longer prairies of incarceration if these weren't wealthy people they would be facing much longer periods of class and it rang castration and that's a legitimate criticism here could die laughing go to a worse jail have a qualitatively less fun time well she's there again there are different the federal prisons have different populations that populate those prisons they have different locations you know if you if you remember when Felicity Huffman was sentenced to die jail she asked if she could go to the federal prison camp that's what her lawyer described the cutest we called it camp in California so she can be closer to our family well first of all it's only two weeks so it's not an extended period of time and you won't even serve a full two weeks probably Sir about ten or eleven days by the time she's done and and the fact is is that camp isn't. quite what most of us would envision a prison to be but the there are federal prisons that some are far more camp like I have done what we would envision one of our local jails to be I was wonderful life when if they if they didn't like her cuts assigned her a nasty jail well it's just a part of part of the bargaining pot of the arrangements. can be where you will serve that time we've seen other prisoners ask for the bureau of prisons to change their location from one prison to a different one if your members speaker DiMasi when he was found guilty and needed medical care he was still none the less down in Kentucky for some period of time and he said well my family can visit me I'd like to get home I'd like to get better medical care and the at least for the longest period of time the bureau of prisons would not would not transfer him so yes it's can be part of you know the encouragement to cooperate the encouragement to make a deal can be partly. worked around whether you are assisting the government cooperating the government are mentioned a please bring arrangement seller left and could go to was a prison where she could is vulnerable to beating and raping. all that stuff the a radically but again the high profile prisoner house as gonna say that as I started to say it I doubt about Jeffrey Epstein high profile prisoner you would normally expect to receive a greater level of protection and supervision so that they're not targets along these lines but if you think a you know as I as I started to say that I pause because in more recent memory let's think about Jeffrey Epstein in New York who somehow despite being on a suicide watch for some period of time was not sufficiently supervise such that he could kill himself and more locally Aaron Hernandez I'm not sure our prison system more recently has had a much more high profile prisoner was none the less able to kill himself as well so there are questions about the capacity for our prisons to be able to properly take care of some of the inmates and Lori Laughlin like Whitey Bolger very may very well be a target of the other inmates there and a you would expect the government to take steps to protect here but you would have expected the government to take steps to keep Whitey Bolger away from other criminal actors there since at least part of the evidence was that he may have assisted the government with respect to their attempts to a radic Kate the the mafia here in the northeast after the break we'll talk about. the settlement when it comes the opioid. the opioid crisis and. the scholar Richardson trucks after this on WBZ. you.

Felicity Huffman Lori Laughlin FDA two weeks five hundred thousand dollars twenty thousand dollars eleven days four months
