"Segment excuse other FCA US LLC vehicles registered trademark of FCA US LLC. Independent in thoughts and punk rock in life. It's the Chad Benson show. After two years doing more than two hundred witnesses. The Senate intelligence committee has not uncovered any direct evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. That's according to sources on both the Republican and the democratic side of the aisle, Halley, careful viewers, and readers will note that Senator Richard Burr, the chairman of the intelligence committee who leaves this probe essentially said that in an interview with another network last week, but what I've been doing since then is checking with my sources on the democratic side to understand the full context of his remarks because that was essentially a partisan comment from from one side, but this is a bipartisan investigation, and what I found is that the Democrats don't dispute that characterization. What does that mean? Well, as far as the Senate committee gets together is there collusion. Nothing. We can find. Right. Did some of the people in the campaign who got in trouble? Got in trouble by their own doing and much of which a majority of which came when they were what? Out there taking money, not declaring it income hiding it, right? But as far as actual collusion. And let's remember this is how this thing started was let's find out how Trump won. It can't be just that other people want ham over her. That's impossible. She is she has been groomed for this. She was built specifically for this to be the first woman president in the United States history. There's just no way there has to be collusion and know. No, no. It's not now. Did they make poor choices? Absolutely. With the company. They kept. Yeah. Should they have done better? Yeah. I think so I think we can all agree with that. I think we can all agree that the manafort's of the world the Roger stone's the world. But again stone in him been friends for forty years. So it's not like, you know, it's not like, well, he only became friends with stone. Everybody knows what's known did custodian did it for a lot of presidents and a lot of people in politics. The Coens of the world. In saying that. Does this mean anything? No, there's still going through the Muller investigation is still going on. And that is going to continue to go on. But there was you know, there's nothing here. Now, the Democrats like everything else when they fact check, you know, in fact, the impartiality of fact checking is all by the person who's doing the fact checking is yeah, we couldn't find anything. But but again, no direct proof of. As one democratic aide said to me, we never thought we were gonna find a contract between Trump and Vlad saying, hey, let's collude, but the question is how do we interpret all these various contacts between Trump campaign and Russia. Well. But if you're interpreting something, and I said if somebody earlier in life, it's not what you know. It's what you can prove you're trying to interpret a conversation. And if you think somebody's guilty, you're going to interpret it that way, if you think they're innocent, you're going to interpret it another way. So what is it? It's not what you know. It's what you can prove. And if the Senate, and it's a bipartisan, this was not all Republicans was a bipartisan coming out and saying, well, we can't find evidence of collusion. This is two hundred plus interviews almost two years. Few other people to interview now doesn't mean that Muller's going away or any of that stuff? But the reality is the they have a lot of classified information. They were able to do a lot of things and go a lot of places that maybe even Muller didn't have a chance to go. And. Still nothing now that's not going to satisfy some people, right?.

"Trademark of FCA US LLC. Independent in thoughts and punk rock in life. It's the Chad Benson show. President Trump and governor Scott. Seem dead set against counting every vote why? Because they're worried that if every vote is counted Bill Nelson will be reelected as Senator so. Is about the best. You could say the floor. I mean, Arizona was a mass. But the mess is cleaned up still some votes being counted. But yesterday Huston cinema. She one she's on her way. You saw the state turned purple that you look over. And you see Florida and say what are you waiting for? That's a good question. That is a great question. What are you waiting for? I don't know. But my question is how we in this mess all the time with elections. How are we in this mess? How do we get to the point where apparently some people thought you could vote online because of the hurricanes, and they were going to get a special dispensation to vote. I mean, there's just so much just ridiculous. That is going on. I it's it's sad. It's sad. We're a week done removed. We've moved on a week. One week removed. And they've got to get done by Thursday because there's gonna be a recap. I mean at this point in time, I feel like let's just have the recap. And let's just start all over again. Let's come up with one set of rules. Because this is a joke. Arizona. Same kind of thing antiquated system. Scott to be better. He's got to be better. Not not better. Now, if you're Trump you take a look last week. So you've got a situation where you know, Scott. Santa's you're hoping victory. They're not quite sure what's going to happen. Gonna be a recount, then there's probably going to be a runoff who knows? What will come of it? There's lawsuits competing everywhere. You just saw. Arizona. Very red. Uber. Read. Become purple. The Democrats look in there, and they're just well, they got a smile on their face. So not only did it become red. You had a democratic Senator elected since the first time since one thousand nine hundred eight she Houston cinema, openly, bisexual, apparently that's vitally important for some people. It's so funny because only in the left wing articles of stuff that they talk about that like, nobody. It matters for some doesn't matter to me. I I care if you're capable or not. But here's a woman who code pink one time, she called herself, a communist, they played all these things she sympathized with the Taliban and all this stuff. And I'm just like, okay. Whatever I mean, she went up against Martha mcsally, Martha mcsally veteran first female fighter pilot in combat. And I'm like, and and that was my big things. And because I during the last election cycle is a lot of people didn't have ideas of what they wanted to do some tied themselves. So they have of Trump others ran away from Trump someone who ran away some lost and same thing. Some we've tied their hit the Trump Lawson some what? But not a lot of ideas. And everybody's like, well, she's a veteran. How can they do that? Just means you're veteran doesn't mean that you should automatically win. I was talking to somebody. And it's like, well, it's not it's not a better service. She's amazing. What she did was incredible. What I listened to a commercials. It was Uber negative. It was awful nothing. I learned nothing other than this other person dove over her because she wore pink Tutu, and she said, she was a communist ten years ago, or whatever and she made fun of the state, and blah, blah, blah. But I learned nothing about you other than you were veteran. My uncle. Several tours in Vietnam. God rest his soul. He since passed. He was a veteran. And I wouldn't have let him. Run for anything. Totally dissuaded him because it's not a good not a good fit. It wasn't good at anything. He wasn't. So if your though the Republicans, you're looking out there, you're seeing the fact that Betto almost beat Ted Cruz. That's huge demographics are shifting nationwide. Younger more vibrant group of people who are engaged in a different way. They're not always active as far they're engaged in a lot of ways. Yeah. Let's do this. But they're not always active when it comes on voting day. But I do believe they're gonna get there. They've been there a good portion are extremely educated, and in those educations, those bastions of learning they've been in many ways indoctrinated to to the left side of thinking. So what do you do if you're the Republicans because I do believe you've got an issue looking forward. It does represent a kind of a realignment in our politics. Arizona nevada. Now, pretty solidly democrat Nevada's. Arizona store, but Texas is moving and if you look at the demographics is all good news for the Denver, Democrats and bad news for the public is there is some of that and part of that is that younger voter demographic. So if you're the Republicans you gotta start figuring out what you're gonna do. We talked a bit about it before with what are the message because the Democrats their message has been simply we're nicer, and we are. We're not that guy. So everything they run against is that guy. But you've got to come up with a message to and if you're standing back and you're saying okay week ago. It didn't look like a Blue Wave a week on. And there's a chance it's going to be it's not going to be Sonam e but it's definitely more of a wave than it was a trickle. What are you going to do in? That is a huge question because the Democrats look around going Nevada. Hey, we made some head waves places like taxes. There's some things we could be doing here in the Senate a map that everyone agreed favorite the the Republicans Trump country red states where at the end of the day Democrats may lose once they may depending on what happens in Florida come out even that is a big victory. And you're seeing you know. Wave elections are when a bunch of people vote in ways that you know, that you wouldn't expect them to. So I don't know if this is the way it is a realignment democ, the the voting public has gotten younger it's gotten more diverse. It's gotten more suburban all of those things are a positive sign going forward for Democrats. Now, it is not panic time yet, but I will tell you. The way it's going. It is going to be very hard. For the Republicans to recover in the coming future. If they don't start to figure out what their messages if I'm the Republicans. I look around and say, all right. We need to do something. And one of those things there a lot of failure to declare to want to declare independence out there. And we know that those are the people have to get and there's a lot of people and more and more people are becoming quote, unquote. Libertarians for whatever word the you wanna use independence. Libertarians a lot of people throw that out there. But. Conservatories is what you should be looking at. How do I grab these who knows how many millions forty fifty sixty million? How do I grab them? What do I need to do to grab them? Because the message that we we've lost our way if we're if we're going by pure values of conservatism, Donald Trump's not your president. Right. If that's what you're looking at especially if you're running on, the, you know, family values, all this stuff. He's not your president. So then what? What are you running on? Because eventually he's going to leave. So if I'm out there right now, I'm looking at the libertarians. And I'm saying how do we get them the same way that the Democrats have figured out exactly who their group is? They're looking at the young, which is a massive massive massive. They've got the house, shall we say this financially strapped, right underachieving, poor whatever you wanna call it. They've got them the diversity of African Americans Latino Americans the they've got all those things they're now, they're not doesn't always resonate with them. And sometimes they fail, but their understanding a lot more their message sucks. And they've got to figure out because those people also want to be served in a way that isn't. We just hate Trump. That's good and easy message now. So what do you do if I'm the Republicans? I better start coming up with something because right now. I look out across the landscape, and I said it out here. Arizona's come purple. The fights on and the demographics are showing especially in bigger cities. You're gonna find this more and more and more and more purple and eventually blue in some areas. So you better start figuring out what your messages to keep it purple. So you have a fighting chance of these things that opportunities you're gonna come where your message will went out. But whatever that message is you better come up with it sooner rather than later, and it better be broader than well. They'll just like our message if they don't like it then go somewhere else because guess what you're going to be doing going somewhere else. I think it's fair to say a lot of times we talk about one hit wonders like if people say like we were just talking somebody tweeted inside like Manfred Mann blinded by the light. But they also did the mighty Quinn. And that was like a lot of times, we there's a few bands out there literally that hit like modern English that was it. That's the hit. They don't have anything else. I mean, ink and paper let you dive deep you'd have to really. I mean, that's you know, that's like they come out. They do like a two song set they do that. And then they do that. And then they leave played twice. And then get off the stage. You know, taxis midnight runners opposed to that earlier come on Eileen. Like, can you name another? No, no cannot like that's a hit right there. And Mel with you. To this day more. So than maybe any other one hit wonder that I can think of gets played all the time because Taco Bell or somebody's always melting cheese. Or you know, who knows what it's just it's it's always there. Three two three five three eight twenty four twenty three. At Chad Benson show Twitter. So the judiciary committee. Has said that nine thirty AM on Friday. They will vote on capitol. They're gonna vote on Canada nine thirty on Friday. So we will see what happens. Here's my question. And I don't if she doesn't show up. Right. So she doesn't show up. I mean at that point in time, right? Like, there's nothing. What else are you gonna do? I mean, you you've done everything possible if she chooses not to show up at that point in time. We we waited lady and Fisher cut bait and we've decided to cut bait move on right? Dr. So you can. Pretend that it was you were bullied or Kirstin gillibrand come out said oh by God. It she was she was bullied if she spoke, she was bullied into whatever, you know, we gave her every opportunity, and this is the way it is. So we'll see what happens if they really do do it. So we'll see what happens three two three five three eight twenty four twenty three. It is national registered to vote day you need to get out. And register and if they ask you what you want to be. I I'm never going to tell you who to vote for ever. Ever ever ever ever? But I think it's vitally important that we get out there and do it. And I think more people need to take a a active role and understanding politics both at a local level, which is where politics really hits you at home that does as more. Impact on your day to day and nationally. But I'm telling you guys right now get out registered to vote. And if you do it do it as an independent, right? Don't be crazy crazies where we're headed with this next thing. Right. This is somewhere along the line. We have lost. Our opportunity to reason with one another. And too often. Think America you can find it Dr Linda Olson in Atlanta I was very intrigued with some of her comments on nervous disorder and anxiety and depression. Not just domestic violence where a children become victims of homicide or of assault and. This kind of thing but when you're yelling, when the standard is so high when my kid is going to be all things to all people that also falls under the cycle of domestic violence Jane yeah I I agree she had some very important points to make, about how this. Is affecting our kids I. Do want to say that I. Believe that our society is on a spectrum. In which we've got about ten to fifteen percent Of folks who are underachievers they don't, really care about things and then on, the other side of the spectrum we have ten to fifteen percent who are. Overachievers who are obsessed with everything and, then obviously there's a middle ground but on both sides of the spectrums we see an intensification taking place whether it's the obsessive side. Or the over reliance on. Everybody to help them on. The other. Side and, I think that's that's a real problem I tend to agree with you not too much, in the middle Mitchell no I agree and I'm and I think Shane's point is excellent because while I. Was listening to her I mean obviously no one wants, to see domestic violence and yes child does learn behaviors from their parents and if there is subjected to this they're going. To, see, a lot. Of it and it can definitely affect them but as I was listening to her. I kept finding myself thinking about the incredible number of underachievers that I have to deal with every single day of my business career And wondering how we somehow got. Bifurcated, on the. One hand we have be you must achieve at all costs don't worry about being happy, you just, got, to achieve achieve achieve and on the other side, is like well I don't really care, somebody needs take care of me and, I'm like wow how do we for cake because that's two completely different spectrums. I always come back to a child, learns what he lives and so if in the home you've got these superstar parents or superstar family uncles and aunts and so forth That are in the, boardrooms in there Astronauts, going to the moon, or they're, Olympians or whatever it is you know there are musicians. Stranger then ride in a car driven by a computer, and when, that, major death, happened in, Arizona in Tempe Arizona not, too long Ago I said to myself I'd rather be on a headless horseman the. Back of. The with the headless. Horseman then with a self driving car I'm not big on it I am, sinking my heels in saying no no no I'd. Rather have a human being the wheel than a robot do you agree Shane or. Or are you full steam ahead with the future on self driving cars I'm a. Baby boomer and I'll tell you there is. No way I'm going to let, a computer takeover my truck when I'm. Driving especially out in the rural roads, in the country roads when I'm checking on things they don't even? Have the technology out there this is all for the big cities and probably a little bit for the suburbs but I'll tell you I do not want to give up control of my vehicle to some computer Mitchell. I, agree I find it fascinating you wanna talk to a lot of, people how little they understand about technology but yet they somehow think it can do, anything and I find this particularly true on young. People who tend to blindingly trust technology but obviously we, got, this little reality Check going on I mean the. Number of people against them is increasing in the number of people that think they're. Safer than normal cars is decreasing so You know there's. Technical issues there's also ethics issues the. Good news is some of this technology automated. Breaking lane departure warnings and. Stuff like that are available in ordinary car. So there there has been some plus. I'm a pretty much with both of, you I'm not big on it technology fails us every. Day of the week let's hear what Megan. Has to say, when we come. Back from this break stick around she, is a millennial. And she's, pro technology so she'll.

"Dodge registered trademark of FCA US LLC We're back on think. America you can find it Dr Linda Olson in Atlanta I was very intrigued with some of her comments on nervous disorder and anxiety and depression not just domestic violence where I children become victims of homicide or of assault. And this kind of thing but when you're, yelling when the standard is so high when my kid is going to be all things to all people that also falls under. The cycle of domestic violence Shane yeah I agree she had some very important points to make about, how this, is affecting. Our kids I do want. To say that I believe that. Our society is on a spectrum in which, we've got about ten to fifteen percent Of folks, who are underachievers they don't really care about, things and then on the other, side of the spectrum we have ten to fifteen percent who are overachievers who. Are obsessed with everything and then obviously, there's a middle ground but on both sides of the spectrums we see an intensification taking place whether it's the obsessive side or the over. Reliance on everybody to help. Them on the other side. And I. Think that's, that's a real problem I tend to agree with you not too much in the middle. Mitchell no I agree and I'm and I think Shane's point is excellent because while I was listening to. Her I mean obviously no one wants to see a, domestic violence and yes a child does learn behaviors from their parents and if they're subjected to this they're going to see. A, lot of. It and it can definitely affect them but as I was listening to her I. Kept finding myself thinking about the incredible number of underachievers that I have to be a with every single day of my business career And wondering how we somehow got bifurcated. On, the one. Hand we have the you must achieve at all costs don't worry about being happy you've, just got, to, achieve achieve achieve and on the other side. Is like, well I don't really care somebody needs to, take care of me and I'm, like wow how do we buy for cake because that's two completely different spectrums. I always come back to a child, learns what he lives and so if in the home you've got these superstar parents or superstar family on goals and aunts and so forth That are in the boardrooms in there Astronauts, going to the moon or they're Olympians or whatever it is You know there musicians, that are gonna play Carnegie Hall. And then on the other side you might have the broken home the. Homeward dad's in jail and mom's on crack that kind of thing we do have this and that's for sociologist to pick up and cultural anthropologists to pick up and even politicians to pick up and figure out even law enforcement can take a look at all of that and all. This sociology that goes with that and psychology that goes with, that but, probably, I would, kind point, to a lot of big, big shifts big see changes sexual revolution more women in, the work but workplace More rise of of the, drug culture and so forth let's leave it there. Guys move on we can't solve all the problems but, it's, great to talk, about it is, there a market on another topic a. Shame for self driving cars for, about the last ten years I.
