Athletics' Ramon Laureano charges Houston dugout, touching off brawl between A's and Astros

"Outfielder Ramon Laureano charged the Houston bench. After being hit by a pitch replace shows that Laureano was jawing with Astros hitting coach Alex Cintron before going full steam at the bench. Reports say Cintron may have made disparaging comments about Mariano's mother. And a teammate Matt Olsen said central provoked the confrontation of what we've heard is that some things were said that weren't right. Um, the someone told himto Come over to the dugout, so Use? Uh, definitely provokes a little bit.

New Movies Coming To Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu And HBO This Weekend

"If you have Amazon prime video there's a movie called mice bite which was just hitting theaters when covert nineteen hit this is an action comedy Dave Batista who's you know guardians of the galaxy you know that big giant former wrestler guy he's a CIA agent row he finds himself teamed up with the precocious nine year old so in other words should be making kindergarten cop now I have to tell you about this to think that this is actually this is a rite of passage for action star Jackie Chan had a movie like this the rock had a movie like this John Cena is had a movie like this at some point you gotta so you're lovable side and be charged with guarding little kids and then you learn about the soft side yourself this one is particularly horrible and one of the things we hate about this movie Rakan my spot is set primarily in Chicago they shot it in Toronto eight that and the worst moments in this movie is there's a chase that begins in wicker park okay the bad guy gets behind the wheel of a car with her party he's trying to get away from Dave Batista CIA agent now the C. I. A. tech person is in David she says here telling them where you know traveling this guy and the agents as one minute after this car leaves wicker park the agent says looks like he's heading to the Naperville area because Naperville has a giant airfield so wrong later five minutes later we're in phony Naperville where I kid you not there's a big you know action sequence where the plane on the runway is now dangling over what appears to be the Grand Canyon who knew that in Naperville there was an airport overlooking a giant canyon clearly green screen so I mean it's just been really poorly done it's too violent for the little kids and it's too stupid for the adults and a lot of parents thing all this might be fun have a fun action movie stay away from my spy that's too bad you're you're totally right about that right of passage because Arnold Schwarzenegger had to do that too right I mean it was like a garden shop yeah I mean everybody has to make sure that the kids have something to go watch in that in those movies were actually pretty good for kids you're saying this one's not this was terrible okay now I've got I've got the funniest movie of the summer Fauria probably so far it has the worst title of all time it's called Eurovision Song Contest the story of fire saga well the Eurovision Song Contest is an actual deal in Europe and has been since the rent if these in fact Salim young was discovered on that aba was first on the Eurovision Song Contest this is a parity with will Ferrell the king of the parity right and Rachel McAdams they play a couple of Icelandic singer songwriters he's Lars Eriksen she's cigarette original daughter and their Icelandic and they're dreaming of representing their home whether they do kind of like Viking game of thrones stamp rock songs so this is filled with all these big production numbers because then we meet the contestants from Greece and the grand the Russian the Russian contest is actually played by our friend Dan Stevens was Matthew Crawley on Downton abbey he plays a Russian oligarch who's also a ballad singer it's really really stupid and it's really really funny it's mostly excuse these big giant set pieces where they do these huge production numbers remember will Ferrell did a movie called blades of glory your hair well he does for you know that did for ice dancing with the stars for song competition so even though we don't know the Eurovision Song Contest here in the states we know about all the competition shows that this is basically get one singer from each country you know what it's all European countries they have a couple of other than the states they're not we're not eligible for the Eurovision Song Contest was there an SNL bit with will Ferrell that was similarly themed I I just don't know that there could have been it's it's clearly the kind of stuff that he just excels at when you see him in the big Viking outfit and looks like the blue eye shadow it's singing about Viking you know might biking protector this is the song from this will enrich McAdams by the was wonderful as well she can also be very funny the video and the song they do is so terrible that it's great because it looks just like when you see those kind of you know that's a big deal that kind of like that Viking will rock nonsense yeah there's my aunts were everybody everybody pretends like the rolling the slave ship which is really just unfortunate or the big Viking ship as it will be we kind of you know horrible music but really right prepared well it there's that old joke about Led Zeppelin thank you know I have the have the crap was about Vikings right and if the agency had no idea what they were saying about this the music was so great musicianship as of right but if you look back you're like what the hell of the talk was only in the middle of the song yeah they had they did they had references to the lord of the rings when it was just a yeah they were so ready this is really true okay and anything else this weekend it's yeah I want to tell people is a completely does shift in tone row but the there's a best selling book a called I'll be gone in the dark written by the late Michelle McNamara who was UP board result park went to California become a true crime writer Mary Patton Oswalt the famous comedian and actor and she wrote about one of the best true crime book sense in cold blood called I'll be gone in the dark about the search for the Golden State killer probably the least known to most prolific serial killer rapist of the last fifty years this is not a six part series about Michelle's book and also about the Golden State killer it starts on HBO on Sunday night if people if you're into that true crime genre you know talk about making a murderer people aren't so many of these other ones this is the podcast to get started this is brilliantly done and it's really a profile of Michelle McNamara and her marriage to Pat now as well because it's young obviously she had a lot of recording should podcasters video for a lot and she died while writing the book she died in her sleep partially because the stress of the book and and prescription drugs and under heart condition and they continued patent and some researchers continued and finished the book without her and then we get to know the story of this incredible monster who I will let people know was just arrested a couple of years ago and charged with all these crimes because guess what they got his DNA matched about fourteen of the crime scenes that that kept the updates from I'll be gone in the

Looting and fires continue in downtown Seattle as protests turn violent

"Nick tell us where you are and what you can see well it since about three this afternoon we've been here in the west like pause over near Westlake park and behind us you can see still demonstrators that have been we're essentially the epicenter of this entire day going to began with all this frustration at being pent up against law enforcement over at fifth and behind those car fires obviously been put out but Kane county sheriffs and tactical gear made their way through the area just I'd say about ten minutes ago but right now it seems that a lot of people just been standing around and have just been continuing to demonstrate despite many people moving on to different locations all we've seen a couple different businesses being broken into the doc martens on fourth Avenue we saw people running in there about five or six people but aside from that and the gap store over at the corner of fifth and pine demonstrators continue to just stand down and protest and show their frustration over what's happened with what happened in Minneapolis and several other different locations obviously a lot of frustration continues to grow and people continuing to want to demonstrate that whether it's on TV or whether it's here on the streets of Seattle on but either way and this is been the scene that we've been seeing for I'd say the last ten fifteen minutes with only a couple walking away you could see people walking away with a mannequin pieces of mannequins and also came from stores it's it's it's been quite a scene in the last twenty to thirty minutes you're located at Westlake center that's where the rally he organized a rally was held it was supposed to be peaceful there are pastors people speaking on the stage so from where you are right now from the vantage point where you are at any sort of organized assembly it's over now correct yeah there there is no organized assembly that that ship sailed a while ago in this area they have that organized protests that happened from at Westlake park but as soon as that March when all they had made their way away from this area and I was to ride out where that fire had taken place spent lining up all right up against those demonstrators who are still here over at fifteen point Nick thank you very much I'm gonna ask your camera man if I can to zoom in back over to the right Justin this down being saying we just saw moments ago a group of people walking through downtown Seattle with legs and arms of mannequins that they've stolen from looting in the store there's an obscene gesture Fauria but really an astounding and just incredibly sad thing to see that is happening in downtown Seattle tonight you mentioned the doc martens store looted the north face store looted the Old Navy store was looted earlier tonight the poly clinic set on fire police vehicles burned and it we've talked most of the night about these two separate groups there was the peaceful protest the peaceful demonstration speeches made our prayers prayed that's all said and done what's happening now from here on out the people that are downtown now or are there I'm guessing for reasons of raging of violence of looting and pillaging the downtown core of Seattle and this is going to be interesting to see if and when the National Guard gets here how they're going to put a stop to that the mayor said the National Guard should be in place sometime tonight and this is an unarmed National Guard coming in possibly if necessary to protect citizens it's also interesting to note that earlier when protesters and demonstrators and riders were marching towards the police precinct there was a line of police officers protecting that building just an hour ago mayor Jenny Durkan addressing the city she said quote we will take all steps necessary to protect residents and property in the city but Eric as you mentioned we have seen live images of people actively looting vandalizing stealing from the downtown shopping corridor and this live look right here right now so bold maybe this is where Nordstrom is near right near Pacific place a couple blocks away from pike place market we have yet to see police activity protecting the stores or standing guard to protect the property in the downtown area on those police are stretched so thin because these groups have splintered off into several different areas and of course they have they have set up a line around police headquarters are trying to protect that they are trying to protect the stores and and the citizens but they are stretched so thin at this point but it's almost impossible without some more help and again I'm worried about when darkness comes here in another hour hour and a half what's going to happen under the cover of darkness as as this chaos continues in downtown Seattle again the speeches have been spoken in the prayers have been prayed in the protests have been protested now this is ugliness in our city this is sheer chaotic ugliness and we can only hope that order is restored just as soon as

"Another brick in the wall that Fauria wanted gender okay the only be on burger actually white like little rascal why because you're well man builds mostly white no it's not it's not a blow snot damages soy summit gluten stock plummeted anything is made of lot of mushrooms beats I has no soul whatsoever all right then there was another product they would not need to potter came across that was mostly for well there were a lot of murders that were mostly soy but the beyond burger the impossible burger is not so it's a it's a laboratory grown of fungus mixed with beats and several other things will give it give it the the illusion that it believes okay yeah welcome I have a home computer well I was gonna say that part of the agenda because they want to do you have to live not right so well I mean not all people I don't know about that I mean is it like there's a there's always that idea that if you eat soy it's not good for men men men should not eat so it's not good for them right and a lot of that but it's not because of the burger I mean in the burger itself it's it's it's basically they say it's gluten free but I don't understand how can be gluten free what has weeded it it it does have we but mostly coconut oil it's got potatoes in it it's got you know maybe at the I don't know that what's this soy protein isolate does have sort they say there's no story in it but what is of sort protein isolate some fake version of soy it's got it's got the like that make because they haven't been in exacting dom to keep it textured it also boasts Lee though it has textured wheat coconut oil potato protein beans that make it like you know I don't know maybe they you know they just they don't call it Soyo right and they they I guess maybe that maybe does have soy that they they call it this is what they call it and I'm I'm I'm I'm actually going to change my mind here because they call it something called late game of globin and we give the globe and I think is a big word for soy I have to look it up though to see if that's alright but da yeah okay here you go here you go you know limit global net Goldman is it's a product you know this is genetically modified soy and so that's the thing is they genetically modified it with beats to make it look like it's bleeding so that's what it is it's a it's a a a soy beat their relative that's it it's turns to a theme of the college team sort of I just genetically engineered yeast product that that basically gives the impression of bleeding so you have something called late game of globin which is a genetically modified soy it's not your soy is genetically modified soy late late game of globin which is basically a later turns to games made from genetically engineered yeast so the latter could modify that could be packed full after dinner well they could be yeah I mean I'm I'm just trying to figure out here because they were they they did say no soy no story at all but then again you know you look at it instead saying well yeah but we have some genetically modified soy to create the heme or to create the the bleeding of it great is bleeding aspect so that's gross I will I want to put that into a format for magic slowly green new deal but it is another good one point if an accident kind of five little bit who Alex Jones I write what I love most anatomically compatible human being long pork right yeah but it does not mean that you look at it like that but so they say yeah I want one more quick thing FOR the whole milk and everything about it we can always go back to Dr Wallich home okay you know dairy queen he then made it all healthy for it well it's it's work too many times before I I have no problem drinking whole milk at all I have no problem actually the milk I drink is three percent so I if I drink milk at all three percent because I I can't I can't I mean I don't mind drinking two percent milk allied I drink two percent milk most of my life at one percent out that's even milk baited forget that yeah the reason why you drink milk is because of the fat content to remove the fat content from milk is basically it's not milk muzzle just drink water but the seat milk is not a what the milk is not a it's a food actually because it's loaded it's loaded with butter fat it's loaded with fats so that's why you drink it is because you you you get a fat boost whatever you drink and so soluble fat the body basically is a substitute for sugar so if you don't want sugar in your diet you replace with fats and fats are easily modified if you have a good liver you have good liver function you can modify your fats with no problem right and also again about the law or not for young children is dangerous you know I mean that their brains need the fact that you know to go out yes I mean that that's been something that's been perpetrated on a people low fat and I will I told my wife well a long time and this is also going back to Gary now you know hello milk eggs you know that she is known as as Walt points out the people of France you know in the past well you know the early nineteen hundreds when they ate whole milk in April very feminine even everything they don't have the healthy well and another thing too is when you're having a keto diet they they actually recommend that you have more fats in your diet overboard it means that we've gotten you know Bob for doughnuts but I'm just saying you just you have to remember that you look at cards and may generate sugars and so you have to remember keep the Sugar Bowl keep the fat soluble so you can pass your body better now this is recommended for people at high cholesterol but then again they're down looking a cholesterol problems as being a radical there then and then not so yeah a retort ready there you go eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one of the right from the W. Y. O. D. twenty four hour traffic.

What should Los Angeles Rams fans expect next season?

"Not exactly be easy for the rams to rebuild the rams took a very very interesting approach they went all in we didn't criticize him for thought thanks a lot of them okay good you think you got to the right team go up because by itself we don't guys I did absolutely I got a lot of that I thought it was great it's great if you win it's not good if you don't and you have a real absence of assets to try to bridge the gap of the rebuild which they obviously don't based on all the trades they made so what it in totality here if you want to incorporate with Jared Goff said about his contract may be willingness to rework that restructure who they've lost where they are it's a good division what should rams fans expect next season provided there is a season well I mean it's it's yeah I think a lot of this is about expectation and you know what what can they have you know actually do with the talent that they have on this on this roster and really is Jared Goff good enough I look I don't know if they're asking Jared Goff to restructure his contract if they're saying let me a kid we overpaid you could even though a lot of people think that all of their actually saying those type of things and have a look given the the growth of this the potential growth I should say nowadays because of the you know that the upcoming maybe stoppage the growth of the salary cap year over year it's it's not that big of a deal dear das contracts is this the way it's structured I think the bigger issue for the rams BT is do they have talent

"A little extra boost in our musical interludes here Fauria during this has the knack re record my Sharon yes there's my corona a play that is is that comes out nine minutes after seven Monday March thirty five surviving the radio good to be with you a follow up to our conversation with Dr Kevin most of we had a few minutes ago he's the chief medical officer at northwestern medicine in DU page of vitamin C. sales have tripled lately because of mainly the reports that in China there they are looking at vitamin C. Chinese doctors trying to do a little research to find out if vitamin C. helps people with the covert nineteen virus and so far they say that early clinical studies have shown that the vitamin can prevent inflammation which is feared to play a role in the deterioration of coded nineteen patients the the dosage though that they're giving those patients is is humongous so you know keep that in mind people should be wary of taking large amounts of vitamin C. because in some folks it it can cause th problems headaches and other stomach issues but supplement suppliers say they've seen the spike in the demand of vitamin C. sales most most of us get enough of vitamin C. in our diets if we're having a lot of oranges are red peppers or broccoli vitamin C. is a natural had a accident and see where is that dosage here if it's just a huge amount that they're using in New York to treat some patients there and also the Chinese doctors overall so far study conclusions are different which is why more research needs to be done before vitamin C. can even be considered as an aid to treat the corona virus and Dr Mike Skinner at imperial college in London says that despite on going research we won't know vitamin sees value against the virus for some time either to prevent or treat it what's more the dose being tested is massive and far greater than what would be consumed at a normal level and also as we talk to the doc about vitamin D. deficiency can affect your immune system so we need that and we don't get much sun this time of year here so but when I take a vitamin D. supplement which is not as good as getting it from the sun but most of the experts say it's better than nothing and zinc is selling a lot to people some people swear by it saying it shortens the duration of a cold or just the plain helps flush out damage cells and fight infection so you know we're we're tried anything these days yeah I'll tell you what's getting me through this I notice this at the at the grocery store the other day forget about vitamins forget about hand sanitizer forget about Lysol disinfectant wipes I have what I need to get me through the the virus get me through the pandemic.

Senator Marsha Blackburn Speaks About The Corona virus And Election Security

"So much what a pivot to to a senator Marsha Blackburn who is joining us and she is a Republican from Tennessee and senator Blackburn thank you so much I know that you have not only been coping with this issue with regards to cook at nineteen but of course in your home state you have got a lot of people that are hurting and regrettably that are that are making funeral preparations at this hour and for that you have our deepest condolences well thank you for that and we appreciate the condolences and prayers and Tennessee is the volunteer state and I will tell you yesterday when I was out and out Wilson county Davidson county Putnam County which has been the hardest hit to see all the volunteers that showed up to help and volunteers in the churches that are coming around these families who are now planning funerals and in the midst of homes being destroyed in businesses being destroyed they are standing with these families and helping them get through a time of just deep deep grief and sorrow as they have lost homes and livelihoods and have lost these precious lives and are experiencing that grief senator Blackburn I was reading about to that there was a young couple the husband wife and a child all three of whom perished invests in that storm system those that tornado outbreak I mean you're talking about a generation of of a of a family that is just been eliminated and and how the how other members of family cope with that to me is just a it's a grief that I pray none of us ever know that **** well you're exactly right and to see these families and in the midst of this grief they're out searching for even a picture something from that family that they can use as they go through the process of remembering and the sadness fear the children that have died in this is the children that are hospitalized right now with injuries and the numbers that are hospitalized and have the injuries and Putnam County with eighteen deaths that are there it's just devastating and you look at this area of Baxter which is right outside of Cookeville Tennessee there in Putnam County is a community of about twelve hundred people and they've got a hundred and twenty five homes and businesses that no longer exist they're gone it is a field of rubble and it is just it is just devastating and there's they were using one building that was standing as kind of their command center there was a another market that was still standing one down the road was totally gone gas pumps market everything gets a sign of it anybody's ever walk to the this scene after a tornado it's it'll take your breath away the damage in Maine yeah I've been in war zones hurricanes tornadoes and I have never seen anything like this and are you satisfied help senator of Blackburn are you satisfied with the federal response thus far I have you been in contact with the trump White House I have been in touch with the president with the White House I was on the ground yesterday with the regional administrator for FEMA a team of which is the Tennessee emergency management association has a website set up it is T. N. dot gov forward slash team at T. E. M. A. I. individuals can go there and get information on how they access help but the governor in Tennessee is doing a good job we'll have the president on the ground tomorrow people are looking forward to having him there so that he can see firsthand so we're talking to sue us senator Marsha Blackburn and senator we saw also that your that the Tennessee governor had held a news conference this morning saying that Tennessee has the first confirmation of cold hit nineteen as well also from middle Tennessee talk about adding insult to injury as you guys are coping with the tornado damage you're also dealing with this covert nineteen outbreak that is correct in the state health department I had the confirmation on this case yesterday it is a forty four year old male he lives in Williamson County which is right outside of Nashville that Sir Brentwood Franklin area I he had attended an international conference which was held in the United States after he returned home he did not feel well so eventually as his system and his symptoms worsened he decided to go to take medical care and that is when he was tested and he is quarantined at home with his family now we we have seen some of the measures in places like China some of the European measures when it comes to this slowing the spread of cove it nineteen and and some other areas are taking pretty significant measures that we have not yet taken here in the United States one of which being the the UK government announcing that they're going to pay for people's sick leave from day one if they self quarantine image can you imagine every single taxpayer being on the hook for everybody's staying home from work in a two week or more self quarantine one one of the things I think said and we're receiving regular updates Dr sale team is doing a tremendous job N. ambassador Burke of leading the effort working with the vice president who is handling this they are very thoughtful they are getting information to us they are transferring information to your state and local health authorities and I certainly believe that the reason you have seen a slower spread here in the U. S. then you have in other countries it is because of the actions the president took immediately on restricting travel from China the restrictions have since placed on Italy and on South Korea analysts say also the actions that are being taken by many companies I know many companies are now placing our travel restrictions on individuals until we know more about the incubation time the covet nineteen and on the the symptoms how long the disease last things of that nature some people are are of the of the mindset senator Blackburn that the corona virus outbreak could have an effect on the the upcoming presidential election of the presidential nominating process though with with Bernie Sanders now out and he was or or at least seemingly mathematically out I don't wanna say these out loud but seemingly mathematically out it will I I would have thought he would have done better on super Tuesday as he is the man who is advocating for universal health care and that would be something that that some supporters of Bernie Sanders think would help when it comes to the outbreak of of the corona virus are are you surprised that or or are you concerned that the corona virus could have an effect on the process of electing our next president I I don't think that it will I think that knowing Tennesseans and I think many Americans are like them and they feel that our country three is when you look at the issues of security whether it is economic security national security border security and access to services like healthcare and making certain that we are addressing issues like the environment with clean air clean water that many of the stepsisters ministration have take has taken our steps in the right direction and they are pleased with that and people are going to go to the polls they are going to vote for Donald Trump it looks like it is said to senator Marsha Blackburn a Republican from Tennessee and I I wanted to kind of learn the last question here Fauria switch topics kind of a hard pivot here one of your colleague senator Marco Rubio left a video message on his Twitter page last night let me just play a portion of this you can see what he's advocating here and I'll get your reaction things

The Dangerous Science Behind Gender Transitioning

"The reason scientific studies touting the benefits of medical transitioning for those with gender dysphoric or joining the long history of so-called science from call center. I'm John Stonestreet. This is break point from the beginning. Proponents of the sexual revolution have wrapped themselves in the mantle of science especially social science for example in the nineteen fifties. The Kinsey reports helped normalize a whole range of sexual behaviors. They were the source of that still often quoted statistic that ten percent of people or same sex oriented both that figure and the methodology behind. Kinsey. So-called research has long ago been discredited. Still that ten percent number two sticks in some people's heads a new wave of studies in recent years paint a rosy picture about the benefits of medical transitions for people with gender dysphoric. You so much. So that is Paul. Dirks recently said public discourse lifelong experimental medicalisation sterilization and complete removal of healthy body parts. No longer a rarity. It's now the recommended treatment for gender is for you. But what if those studies are like the Kinsey reports? What if they reflect the bias and of the authors rather than reality will given? What's at stake? This is vitally important question. Especially since -ocial science itself is in the midst of what's called a replication crisis in other words when researchers tried to replicate the findings of studies in the Social Sciences. They often cannot this failure replication. Even includes studies regarded as canonical in some fields. So how can we distinguish between what solid research? And what won't withstand further scrutiny. When it comes the so called settled science of Gender Transitioning Paul Dirks public discourse article titled Transition As treatment. The best study showed the worst outcomes sums up. The results of his deep dive into this research dirks defines best studies as those that have followed people who underwent medical transition for the longest period of time. It's well recognized in the literature. Dirk states that the year after medical gender transition is a quote honeymoon period which does not represent a realistic picture of long-term sexual and psychological status yet most of the popular ginger transition studies are limited to just a few years following the transitioning other studies that support medical transition failed to follow up with as many as half the original participants. That's well beyond the threshold of reliability. Many of the studies dirk states are fraught with design problems like small sample sizes short study links enormously high dropout rates to name just three the problem so bad one systematic review of the literature rate and only two out of twenty nine studies as high quality and contrast the best designed and most rigorous studies. Whose results are most likely to stand up over. Time found. That medical transition was not the solution to the patient's problems especially in the case of male to female transitions. They reveal much higher. Mortality rates do increased rates of suicide AIDS. Drug abuse even cardiovascular disease another high quality study found a sevenfold increase in suicide attempts and a nineteen fold increase in completed suicides after transitions even when the findings are adjusted for pre existing psychiatric problems which are often treated as unrelated to the gender DIS Fauria. They're still a three fold. Increase in psychiatric hospital admissions in other words when it comes to medical gender transitioning the best studies show the worst outcomes and the current use of shoddy social science to support medical transitioning. That's not only misleading. It's dangerous in this case. As is common in the social sciences especially throughout the history of the sexual revolution ideology is overwhelming truth. Finding too many researchers think they know what the data should tell us and so they at times unconsciously and times consciously designed their studies to make sure that it does sadly the consequences of their failure is far worse than professional embarrassment or tarnished reputations this case the consequences could be permanent and

"Love Fauria in San Diego one of the many cool suburban areas where you have a view of the fog in the morning and you get the palm trees and of course that beautiful coastline that you have the hopefully experience yourself were seen at some point somewhere on some show or in some magazine but I would put it on my bucket list maybe I'm a little biased because I spent a little bit of time in California and one of my favorite places to go was always San Diego I like the people I like the tacos and I like the laid back atmosphere I think of of San Diego and everything was so close I speaking of close the president makes no secret of being very close and very supportive of Roger stone Roger stone was sentenced on Thursday not the kind of sentence it looked like he was going to get what was going to be seven to nine years in prison in fact the judge sentenced Roger stone forty months in prison he was dressed in his big black overcoat and his hats and looks so dramatic and had a series of people trailing him you know Roger stone that he's a has a flair for the dramatic but anyway he was sentenced to forty months in federal prison after a move by the Attorney General William Barr to back off his justice department's original sentencing recommendation ultimately U. S. District Court judge Amy Berman Jackson said the crimes demanded a significant amount of time behind bars but said seventy nine was ridiculous to use the word ridiculous but she said access and so I will give you the exact word excessive stone's lawyers were hoping for probation and they talked about his age that he sixty seven of course health and lack of criminal history but I didn't wash with this Amy Berman Jackson the judge so she went with instead of forty months the president still could pardon Roger stone and he's hinted that that's likely that that will happen and I even trump was on Twitter and denouncing it as a miscarriage of justice the member the initial recommendation by the justice department prosecutors that you get at least seven years in prison and I think now he still has that power of the pardon so it wouldn't be shocking to see him ultimately wield that in the Roger stone case now does he do that for Paul Manafort his former campaign adviser no or Michael Flynn you know that's a big question mark I think stone of all three of them probably has the best shot there we always talk about polls and number so I would be remiss even though we're here in San Diego because I'm keeping track of the poles of course every day the Gallup poll shows that that president trump who's on a little bit of a victory lap still because he's of course running to keep his job his approval rating is at forty nine percent it it ties his highest approval job rating yet for the for him he scored the same mark in a Gallup poll that was released back on February fourth so Gallup speculated that his approval rating could be high because of the Senate acquitting him in the impeachment trial and America's generally positive perceptions of the state of the nation are also listed as a contributing factor so how about that forty five percent say they're satisfied with the way things are going in the U. S. the highest mark in the pole since February two thousand and five and that's the economy the economy the comic sixty three percent say current economic conditions are either excellent or good nine percent rate the menace pours so nine percent compared to that other number the economy is good guess what that projects the projects that the person in the White House like love them whatever they usually get reelected if people are feeling good about what's in their wallet that translates a lot of times and we've seen this with so many previous presidents the past three presidents have been reelected sad news about the corona virus Japan says two former cruise ship passengers died from the virus remember when one of the worst stories that came out about the coronavirus was this ship where the diamond princess where they had to be quarantined for fourteen days because somebody had the court of ours got off well you had a man and woman in their eighties both Japanese believed to have been infected before the health checks they started doing and this quarantine began on the ship they were hospitalized on February eleventh and twelfth and each tested positive a day later so today they weren't tested earlier when they developed the initial symptoms and they consult over the ship's clinic so sadly you know they they were hospitalized but it's just too late they couldn't couldn't save a member there was a the government Japan said a fourteen day quarantine we talked about and there were many Americans that were on that ship and now many more people are getting off of that ship they just have to be cleared and then sent on their way very scary frankly thank you to see all that again there's that darn virus and not the coronavirus very scary to see that and numbers just keep climbing when it comes to the corona virus and we knew they were going to be much much higher the the impact of past one fifty in the global death toll from corona virus now is two thousand one hundred forty four that's from where it originally the province in China where it originally started thanks to those numbers continue to climb in there trying to develop obviously an antidote if you will to this and they just keep confirming them in other places and there's a travel warning the U. S. centers for disease control and prevention excuse me and they've issued a new travel advisory for Japan due to that outbreak and they advise travelers to practice what you usually would do with in accordance with what they call a watch level one and out out of the three possible levels and of course for Hong Kong they carry a level one advisory too and then because we see that there's just so much that so on known about the corona virus as they try to navigate it I'm like I said it's very very sad to see that in very tough to to witness that because the doctor who ultimately discovered it was just screaming at the top of his lungs for people to pay attention and that did not that did not happen unfortunately and led to some I think sadder things were perhaps maybe they could have caught this sooner but it the whole host of other things fall into this like where did initiate and all that kind of stuff and what not so we have people that are are upping the game on sanitizers on mass amid this whole corona virus things because there are of course we worried about it worried about where it's you know where it's all going to end up and what does it end up on our doorstep here in the United States and we do have people that have the corona virus which is of course and cross over at EE scare you to to see that and boy oh boy again very very sad story with that when we look at what's affecting you in your backyard look out for what ultimately excuse me is the is the weather because I know in the south and parts of the south they're talking about serious no especially Raleigh that area and twelve million in the southeast in fact bracing for maybe up to six inches I hope you don't see six inches because we know what I. ninety five can be like for some of you who would be in in that area but especially in North Carolina so bad that the door public schools get ahead of this close schools for thirty two thousand students so they had to do that on Thursday and the governor Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency right hang with us stressed the show coming your way on the flipside hello I'm Mike Lindell the inventor my fellow and like all of you out there I have problems sleeping pills would go flat I would flip up all night long I would wake up with a sore neck maybe I can make her feel like I need a nap even though I slept eight hours when I invented my pillow I wanted to where you could move the patent feel to give you the exact support you need is an individual regardless of sleep position Michael will get you into that deep rem sleep faster and you will stay there longer it's not about how much time we spend about is about how much of that quality sleep.

"And download the outside aloof podcast and does subscribe to it that way you just you just open up your device that's where their Fauria Coliseum is there for us all he is the producer of the show hi Colin good morning I thought you were gonna say something else no no that's it morning my there's the chipper column that I know and love good to see Colin and boil tell you this week so we're we know we're talking about whether recently but while stomping grounds I went to Loyola for college and Loyola University in in Rogers park I used to live in Rogers park for for those four years and I enjoyed going to those Rogers park beaches and bought some of those beaches don't exist anymore after this week because the rising levels of the water Lake Michigan and the the storms that have come through and I thought this was interesting since twenty thirteen the lake has risen nearly six feet going from a record low to near record high levels last summer last Saturday waves nearing at twenty feet twenty feet were pummeling the shoreline that's from the Tribune those story that ran this week a three foot waves it says here compact the power of a small car a twenty foot waves maybe a freight train that's what's going on Rogers park and other areas of the shoreline yeah there's there's something going on this is where it you give me the green light to rail on climate change no no Colin I know how you feel make sure we all know early in the morning that's right people now Colin we were very clear and Colin stance on this were very clear so what they're doing is they're replace let me see you the replacing the beaches with rock so these beaches now will be completely covered rock rock city answer rocks the answer always that'll that's all we got right now no I'm just thinking about it like what what happens to all the all the lawns when we no longer have the water to water them we do rock law didn't I say you couldn't rants of just just say okay you're right Colin but rock is the answer apparently so that is happening and that's that is it I feel like it's gotten reported this week yes but I feel like we haven't really let that sink in that the beaches are going away bell should be going off right well what what kind of rocks the using like tiny rocks the probably the big once a bit the big way have you can't step on him with a sample is what you're saying right so if you've been up to those beaches it was they have some rocks already up there and did when I was in college the thing to do is like old school plan out on the rocks and sit that sit and watch the the water it's not like you can just Mosey on out you gotta put some physical effort into these rocks so it's not like you can do a dance and you know dance all over the rocks that's not gonna happen well I know the rock climbing is very popular now we we've featured a rock climbing indoor facility on the show well awhile back maybe water rock climbing will become a thing now in Chicago stranger things have happened one night yeah a little bit I guess a little bit also Rogers park we also feature this on the program the heartland cafe the former Harlan cafe it was it's no longer there they have developed a site and if you don't know what that what the heartland cafe is legendary sort of meet up spot for activists and artists and musicians they are developing the corner of Glenwood and want in Rogers park a seven thousand north when wood was the V. address of the Harlan cafe was demolished in April and now they're gonna put up apartment buildings and retail which maybe I should now get on my ranch because I've always said for many many years that's all we know how to DO architecture wise here's knock something down put up a condo building apartment up an apartment building where rents go for like twenty eight hundred a month retail in the bottom call it a day was it was it not the counting crows pay better than but at the back a laugh never thought we would quote the counting crows I think that's the first in fourteen years of doing the show I don't know if that's their original until they've done I don't know if that's a Whopper that's a cop okay yeah well yeah what are you doing I'm sure they might pick it up we actually have a great show today to have a great show today so excited to be here with you today coming up we will check is with the local journalists who stood in line for a while at the dispensary to sort of get the the feeling about what it was like to experience going to a dispensary for the first time legally here in in Chicago also we'll check in with Tiffany Walden who is the editor in chief of a website called the tribe the tribe dot com talking about this question can mayor lead foot transform Chicago so we will talk to Tiffany about that and our pals Steve Krakow with the secret history of Chicago music profiling a harmonica player George wild child Butler what a great name thanks for joining us today hope U.S. House to send Trump impeachment articles to Senate

"Let's get to impeachment we finally have some updates Fauria and I didn't leave the show with this today well number one because I want to make fun of the Democrats during the debate last night and all the craziness that went on there and then we had local issues because the legislative session is officially under way there a lot of issues that are being debated in Tallahassee that will actually impact your lives here in the state of Florida so we wanted to get some of those and of course during the course of the Senate trial we're gonna spend plenty of time on all of this but I do want to update you on where things stand today speaker Pelosi signed a house resolution to transmit the two articles of impeachment against president trump over to the Senate that followed the house approving resolution today appointing house managers for the impeachment trial representative Collin Peterson Democrat from Minnesota was the only Democrat to vote against the resolution the vote triggered the start of the Senate trial which has been delayed for nearly a month after the house approved two articles of impeachment against president trump one for abuse of power in the other for obstruction of Congress polo C. named seven house managers house intelligence chairman Adam Schiff house judiciary chairman Jerry Nadler representative Val Deming's from here in Florida Democrat from the Orlando area representative came Jeffries representative Zoe Lofgren representative Jason crow and representative Sylvia Garcia I know hello see couldn't do this she had to include chef and Nadler among the house managers but it would have been much better if she didn't because they're just viewed in such a partisan light and you've got talented people bound Deming's she's gonna be good she's the former police chief of Orlando and she uses out during the hearing as well she did so you've got talented people that you could have handled this you don't need shift or Nadler because nobody's really gonna pay much attention to what they say there's just a view bait in about those two I can see where the mines take a step back from being doing the actual trial and maybe there is yeah behind the scenes manager that's how it should be I don't know you think shift is gonna take a step back from the cameras are now learn mom the with all the incoming that chef and never took from the president maybe plus he said like and I'll let you go over there behind a smart move I don't know if that's what's going to happen but still Lofgren she's been this is our third impeachment trial yeah you were mentioning this earlier she was a staffer during the Nixon Nixon and the run up to the Nixon impeachment was actually in peace okay and then she was in Congress on the house side when Clinton was impeached now she's one of the truck the the managers of the impeachment I'm sorry if you've been around for three if you were a staffer during Nixon you really still need to be in Washington DC well I think it goes to the depth chart the dancing clothes he was well yeah yes yes yes I'm looking at a trial of it you know fantasies over here yeah that's how I'm viewing rice really she was there for Nixon to still there but now that that makes total sense to have somebody like that we I kinda knowledge and experience on your house manager staff list in terms of what's next there's gonna be a few days a housekeeping and procedural work Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is expected to hold the substantive part of the trial opening arguments in the queue in a period it's gonna hold that until Tuesday in order to give house managers and trump's defense team a couple of days to prepare on Tuesday the Senate is expected to vote on an organizing resolution the will lay out the terms for the trial it seems like they're going to model it very closely to what happened in the Clinton impeachment they always need a live witness issue yes which if they get the for Republicans across over right right then we'll see what happens then and also the the new reporting today is and how will the Democrats agree to a **** for tat as far as witnesses of they get right hold on yeah well they allow hunter Biden especially if they think under by it has nothing to hide you know we'll see how that plays out and let me get to that aspect several key Senate Republicans are insisting there be specific language in shoring of votes on whether to call witnesses and request documents not that witnesses and documents are allowed but just that there's a vote right on it aides to some vulnerable senators and moderate states including senator Susan Collins have said this language is crucial we know Susan Collins probably once witnesses and it sounds like Mitt Romney once that as well I've heard Lamar Alexander Makowski is always one to watch the numbers are close a democratic leadership aide told Axios that they will force votes on subpoenaing key witnesses such as trump's former national security adviser John Bolton acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney Mulvaney senior adviser Robert Blair and top White House budget official Michael Duffy as well as relevant documents at the very least that will for some vulnerable Senate Republicans to cast tough votes lot of politics being played on both sides as to be expected some important numbers to remember Republicans would need fifty one votes to dismiss the case out right that's not gonna happen there's no way you're gonna have vulnerable Republicans like a Susan Collins vote to dismiss the case will not happen Democrats would need fifty one votes to call witnesses that's possible Republicans currently hold a fifty three forty seven majority in the Senate so Democrats would need for Republicans come over to their side to make the numbers work I think they think they have the votes I think they probably have the votes to at the very least John Paul at the very least I think you're gonna want to he he you're gonna have some Republicans are gonna want to hear from the former national security adviser one important note about today's resolution it gives managers authority to submit additional evidence that the Senate that's key because last night impeachment investigators at the house Judiciary Committee new evidence obtained from left partis Giuliani associate indicted by the Southern District of New York harness is gonna appear with Rachel Maddow Alan M. S. N. B. C. in a little bit and he basically says everything he did some of which was not good he did at the direction of the president Rudy Giuliani that's what he's gonna say tonight's in there there's a lot to one pack based on some of what we've learned about partners over the past couple of days so they're certainly going to be a back and forth and debate over what needs to be explored during the course of the Senate trial on the controversial decision by pelo C. to hold the impeachment articles for three weeks this is what she said on ABC's this week this past Sunday she said the tactic has produced a very positive results she said quote we feel that is produced a very positive result in terms of additional emails an unredacted information that's come forward Bolton has said he will testify if subpoenaed by the Senate I don't think the delay matters all that much in the big scheme of things you had much McConnell who held his ground he was not gonna be bullied by Nancy Pelosi should just didn't have the leverage some new information did come out including reselling the past couple of days although look this stuff it's not going to change the outcome of the trial the only thing that can really make this difficult for Republicans would be of John Bolton testified and have really really damaging information it also have John Bolton testify and he puts forth information favorable to the president and then it's a no brainer we don't know how that's going to go I think Bolton's announcement that he was willing to testify was the most important development that took place during the three weeks the pelo C. held the articles of impeachment what I go back to is the house were rushing through the impeachment process that was a mistake because now they have to push the Senate to do what they should have done I thought they went too fast if this was such a serious matter then you take your time and you do a thorough complete process instead they rushed through the articles of impeachment and then they kind of had to wait to see if more information will come out and then they learn one of the people they should of try to issue a subpoena for John Bolton he was maybe interested now in talking to the Senate it's it's just a mess and plus on top of this all it puts Senate Democrats running for president Elizabeth Warren Bernie Sanders in closure but some of the top spot she delayed this whole thing policy for three weeks and now at a crucial time for them right before the Iowa caucuses they're gonna be caught up in the Senate trial that's really at the end of the day that's where the biggest impact is the biggest impact is on the democratic primary and how it's gonna fact Iowa if I were those Senate Democrats I would not be thrilled with Nancy Pelosi at the moment your thoughts on the whole I hate you up to this point I have to disagree one thing is this notion that the investigation

"Fauria their old white conservatives feel free to heckle them back to America and currently on red eye radio and he's our kind Gerry eight six six ninety right I that is for good emails I too was cussing you out yelling for you to move on the reason you guys are right it doesn't feel good to hear it thanks Brian are producing that's from Scott grand rapids of viral I wish president listen your show you you could learn a lot you guys are spot on on this look where it's this is one particular issue it's funny because people you know you guys are liberals working for CNN which is you know quite humorous which is you know look we're looking at one particular political incident here not X. initial substance with the president but just a how you politically respond in his reactionary nature and how it can hurt him and we wish for him to get elected so I mean it's really it's bizarre that you guys are just secretly liberals we get I love I love that but I understand how it's tough to face a moment like this I don't like it when I saw yesterday I couldn't believe it when I heard him say that yeah right I would expect him to at least stay the course while they may have been off message I think what they were trying to say is that if you don't love America you don't belong here or something but not to come out and say no I disagree with it and I don't support that that's very different yeah with the group that it's very motivated right now in your favor long term effect on that group I don't know remains to be seen we won't know until November third well but you give them the next year but I think look I think you said it best when you said the it gives the it does give the left now the ammunition in the media to be now questioning all trump supporters all the way through this weekend and I you taken into two weeks well because you you go into the questioning this weekend and it will happen Sunday morning and then it will be the defense of it and then it will be the supporters attacking the media for taking it on on Sunday morning and then they'll be a and it will be the new battle something that could have lasted just a few days and be have been put to bed now is going to potentially go into its second week you don't want that you do not want that politically let me ask why what president by the weight it which is why the president was shutting it down with that reporter you know I don't support it and I disagree with it that's exactly why he did that to hope it was the hope was you could end so now you got to move on but unfortunately we won't be able to move on before Sunday morning at the very earliest so there you are clearly you can't let this go it's almost like you're being antagonistic by saying it over and over again no I think it's important to say it though I think it's important for the short segment of the twenty five hours that we do a week that you that you say exactly what happened he said what happened he didn't throw them under the bus he didn't leave the chance someone in the audience started to chant and everyone else followed the president didn't leave the chance we didn't say he did you're making accusations that we never set the chant never would have happened if the president wasn't the catalyst for it by his tweet on Sunday it would have never happened that's our point are we wrong on that no we're not that's why it's so important because what he did yesterday is completely unacceptable in a presidential campaign when we get a presidential campaign it completely I you've never you never go after your own people and say they're wrong well especially at a rally at a rally as you actually had one of his route.

"The fact how are you dealing with the the u fauria of the eagles and the idea of a title defense the idea that that when the public address announcer at the link when he introduces them for the first time you're defending super bowl champions you're defending super bowl champion philadelphia eagles think about that for a second it's just something that that when you experience something like that for the first time it's it's almost like a drug not that i've really experienced something that the feeling in a state of euphoria that you want to be present throughout the year i said what had happened i'm sure a lot of people did to just the idea of the impact that was going to have on the morale the wellbeing of this city for months and who knows years to to potentially cup they may not win for the i i hope they defend i think it's it's one of the hardest things in sports to do with specially in the nfl with the the way that the contracts work and just the idea of of professional sports in twenty eighteen where a loyalty doesn't necessarily exist the the way that it used to the way it did when i was growing up and you go even further back so i think it's it's a little bit harder to win in the nfl back to back you you look the proof is in the pudding hasn't really happened in in a little while obviously easier to win in the nba when you're you're golden state than you've you've built up the roster that you have and when you were the yankees in baseball and i'll put together some of the runs they had but now come to think of it and when when they had their dynasty going on at least went when i was growing up i'm trying to think i can't even remember if they they won back to back off the path to check.
