Andre james than elba's full and safety dallin leave it was with a hip was full. I'm sure i butchered some of those names i apart. I don't even apologize. I'm not a raiders fan under these players nonetheless. That's injury report again. Wednesday take with a grain of salt for the steelers. They did practice for the raiders. They did not. So for the raiders. You look at this giant list. And you're thinking. Wow that's incredible. It's a long list thursday's the day to keep an eye on for the raiders. As some of these players has already been reported that some players like gerald mccoy. Janiking gutten agok way. And even maybe marcus mariota are not going to play. "Doesn't matter the breed if you take it out of that dog to where it's no longer the predator and prey but you're in their head because you're willingham in slam on with that caller and doing all this so it's a balance right but wo- doesn't mean anything when you're teaching if you can't reinforce it in that's the stepping stone to make a dog stop or having a break on them to where you can stop a situation and if you don't believe in an electric collar you'd have to find a different way of people did back in the day and and you could still do it but a lot of our dogs are bred now with the intention of using an electric collar to help them through certain processes and that's communication that's not frying up with that caller it's communicating et a level of stimulation that they understand so essentially. That's what we're doing with a barrel or doing with post or doing anything else. Putting control on them. I will tell you that. I've seen certain things come from the way that sonny does stuff and i've done with a few young dogs and it is extremely easy to teach that dog to stop and stand still without taking a lot out of them and so they've done their own thing now that's keen into the mind of the dog and getting them to work for the human really liked that now also seeing to where the genetics are. That dog naturally wants to standards. And all you're doing is kind of helping them you're trying to weigh. The are the way where that dog is. And how much pressure you have to because when you do low light or if you wanna call will break or break a dog out. You're putting pressure on them. And so how much pressure do they need. And when do i let off. And those are things that are trying to find But there's the wo- post the will farell the tables all. They are our tools. They're a tool that the trainer or the person developing that dog feels comfortable using in that scenario if they're just putting them through a meat grinder and are saying oh. Every dog goes on this table. Every dog does this every dog. does that. some of them. Don't need it so no your animal. And so there's certain foundational pieces that each dog needs but some of them are actually passed that because honestly genetics and another dogs. Just need it for a little bit. And then they skip ahead of a because they are now. It's put them to where they naturally want to do that. And they have an understanding so all the breaking all that stuff is teaching the dog to plant their feet in stop and and to help them. Just be more composed in focused. That's the whole idea of it And it's just a tool. So hopefully. I answered that knowing the knowing the dog knowing the animal man. I mean that's where a somebody like yourself as you're always gonna be light years ahead of somebody like me. I got two dogs. And but that's why we we ask you the questions and we gotta lean on people like you because we don't know how to read our animals like somebody like you. You know your dogs extremely well. Don't don't ever right. You're gonna shop a shy of that but there's certain things i think when they come in for training that i'm looking for out of their body language that's different than If it's like your kids in school right if your kids in school the teacher might see certain things in a different type of Stress load out of your your child than you might see and it's the same thing with the dog. We're looking for certain body language That's telling us where they are and An doing certain things that might explain where they are not just hear from the owner. But don't don't ever cut yourself short of known your animal because You know there might be certain things that someone that gets to train a lot like. I'm very fortunate. I get the train. Fulltime I overlook that any day. And so when i get to work with different animals Regardless of their age are really enjoy. It i really enjoy learning something. Some of them. Frustrate the heck outta me. Some lie on dogs. Frustrate the heck out of me but it's an in my friends and family you get to listen to it Both twenty four seven. But it's me thinking through the process of okay. What's next up here with this animal because it's not cookie cutter it's not it. Just doesn't so yeah. It's it's just part of what we're doing. We're trying to help animals be productive. It's just a you know sometimes we it's the same thing people used to do with horses. So we're just doing less with horses now. While at least at least you can take comfort knowing that the people listening to this podcast doing so at their own will and they're not being forced to just listen to you as a family or friend. Yes exactly yup. Our next question. This is from phil and he wants to know you. Kinda have maybe given us your opinion on some of the stuff in some of your previous answers. But what's your thoughts on. The watering down of wild bird dogs and then he's got kind of a second part and i. I asked him to clarify what he meant by watering down and he kind of explain what he knows reading dogs. Yes oh you take it away. So this is Filthy phil i believe. Yeah um and so. This is a discussion that i've had with a lot of people Okay our hunt tests and our field. Trials have changed when they are changing. They are becoming almost an exit demonstration so to speak right It's not to just take away from anyone but we have.

"But that first pick for me as a new GM? I felt like it was important to set a tone and Jon Gruden. I talked a lot about this. And you know, since the day, I walked in the building John, and I have talked talked about foundation players, and to me foundation is defined as talent and character and underneath character. Have to be a high football passion the love of the game. And that's where feral stood out on top of Cleland Farell the football player. He's the leader. He was one of I think nine kids his father had passed when he was thirteen. He had been through adversity. When you talk to the Clemson players that one that national championship, and we talked to a bunch of them. Obviously this. We and we asked who was the leader of that defense. Every single guy said cliff are also the message we sent I think to our own team was how important these foundation guys. Are you better? Be you better be a leader. You better be great in the locker room, and you better be damn good football player. Well, Mike we had Josh Jacobson a week ago and talk to him about his story about living in the back of a of a of a car and his dad sitting in the front seat, making sure that nobody was going to mess with the car while the kids were sleeping and how he had to put his film on Twitter to get noticed. And and he he wasn't even. So the so-called lead ball-carrier an Alabama. I love that kid, man. I love him. He's a great story. And again you talk about adversity. That's one of the things we always talk about when we interview these kids, you know, what have you been for when your life, and and how did you handle it because it gives a a little bit of a precursor. I believe to Hal handle adversity at the next level. I gotta be honest. When I first got out got took this job. The first player I took film in to sit down with Jon Gruden was Josh Jacobs. And I came back from the national championship guy took the job and the national championship game was in San Francisco. Right. So I just got in the car and drove over and and was on the field before the game watched the game. I came back the next morning watch the game filled and I pulled six or seven clips from the game. And I basically put them on the computer system and went over and sat with John. I said, listen, you gotta have three minutes. I'm gonna show you seven clips, and we're going to draft this guy. That's how strongly I felt. And then again, you you you you made reference to it. You took three you took three. Clemson Tigers Renfro is that kid to who's who's come up big and big games. Obviously. What did you see in these Clemson guys? I mean, why did you obviously there may be an obvious answer. But I'll ask it anyway, three Clemson kids what what attracted you and Gruden to those kids. They're all they've all in a bunch of big football games in their collegiate careers. They've all competed at the highest level, including against Alabama for national championships. They they all they graduated their character is phenomenal. I think Daboh does a great job is really turned that program, and obviously in the one of the top programs in the country..

"I'm out I'm going to play baseball. That's getting fired. You're you're you're taking my job next year, which okay, I mean, I get it. That's how the world works. But you're not coming back from that one. Let's talk about one fit before we go here does he fit with the New York Giants does that make sense to they need a player that thrives a bit out of structure like Murray, or or is more of a facilitator a guy like Wayne Haskins from Ohio State, see more like their what they favor to do with their weapons that they haven't played, you know, I think we'll get it from the quarterbacks point of view. I I think for Haskins it makes much more sense to be sort of with the giants. The similar unconventional Farell appointed that we were talking about this offline and you go into that offense. You've got weapons you've got Ingraham got shepherd. You've got Dell you've got Barclay like you've got weapons you sort of spread the ball around not asked to be too much Maris. More recreate or type guy do some stuff in the or situations. And so I think an offense that might not have those kinds of weapons might be a better indeed better fit for Murray. You're gonna need the guy to create a little bit and one of its does really well, and he's going to need to keep doing. This is protect himself to slide. There are times when he breaks the pocket picks up runs their times on design runs where. Yes, twelve fifteen sixteen yards downfield at. Yeah. He could fight for more yardage. He could probably get more yards. But will just give himself who say, look, I'm done. This is good. Get back to the huddle is gonna need to keep doing that. I talked about this on another show today a sneaky team for Maury Cincinnati. And this might sound weird. They've got dolphin. But you might be capped out what you can do with Dalton. Okay. And dolphin is sort of become the poster child at quarterback purgatory that we sometimes see in the league where he's just good enough. You don't want to let them go. But you know, there's better stuff out there. But you sort of stuck in that quarterback purgatory zone. Will you don't? It doesn't really make sense to do anything. So you just kind of keep them there. No now, you've got sacked Taylor. Young kid coming out from under McVeigh's shadow. So you know, there's gonna be some interesting schematic elements. I'm half field. Reads, the stuff we see with Jared Goff that might be a good type of fit from schematic standpoint for. Golly calamar. You know, you're gonna get a forward. Thinker in terms of the offense can do some things to help the quarterback. Like the Rams Chaumet helped off that might be a team to watch. I'm just kind of thrown out there were into that hot take season. When you take the spaghetti, Chuck it at the wall, you've got fifteen different pieces of spaghetti stuck there. One of them sticks. Nail that I could keep doing this next year. Right. Exactly that we'll do that with kind of Murray in the Bank. I think that's a sneaky team to watch. You know, that's interesting because I mentioned Nick foles as a sneaky candidate to go to the Bengals if it yells were able to get the rights back. Oh foles back because they can cut Andy Dalton with no dead cap. It doesn't feel like they're really interested in like the long-term with him. Like, I feel like now is the time with a new coach they might want to move on from him. So that is a very interesting. There. Zac, Taylor brother oppress Taylor the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Also that connection playing six degrees of Kevin bacon, all offseason with Nick foles. None of it seems to be happening right now. They haven't tagged them or anything. But I like that. I like that sneaky pick there. It's a correlation. I've made with the Bengals possibly moving to a new quarterback in the future. So that's going to do it for today's show. We thank you for listening and as always rate review. Subscribe leave those reviews on bleeding green -ation, the I tunes reviews. The apple podcast reviews. Are just hilarious. I posted one last night. A real family podcast that we have here at BG radio..

What do you see within the news that I don't see the Democrats coming up with any kind of compromise whatsoever? I just see them trying to shut down the Tokyo the president. And that's what I'm saying. So far Pelosi Schumer doesn't come up with any kind of compromise. They got the president's buy into. So we're looking ahead to the rest of this year. And hoping that the executive branch can work with congress. Sounded that a moment. John. I know you're working on a new property the real Bank, except you're gonna say London, the real Bonk. And this man didn't do it for himself, Tom. And I think that's what's so unique about Bogle. He gave back he allowed essentially the investors in his firm to own the firm. Hey, didn't become a billionaire off the back of what should have made him. Well, uber. Uber wealthy do something for the investment world. And I think it's a lasting legacy and a real giant of our industry. The gentlemen from Philadelphia thrown out the door by Boston's Wellington management. Good morning. One of six one FM. "Let's take a closer look g they special man in the reason they're specialists because they impact the game in the run and in the past you look here number ninety nine Cleland Farell the way they pushed the ball. Bag to yards into the backfield. This is an example of how you stop the run. Look what he's gorge are running back has nowhere to go to pursue from the backside gets there and gets home. That's a negative play. Again here. Watch the ability and athleticism that Britain Venables the defense coordinator for Clemson the importance of his Lamma being athletic, all those guys drop. They still get a guy homo, Ian, book get a throwaway intentional grounded. This is a special unit because they're multiple right? You have some delays that a big stout. They can defend the middle of the line of scrimmage and stop the run. They're good in that phase clemson's defensive line Russia's the passer just as well as they create pressure in the backfield against the run. Let me give you something. Hembo, gave me this. Yeah. Forty five percent of Notre Dame plays in that football game resulted in no yards or negative yards half of your offense. And Dane plan. Didn't work that is Gina smash and.
