Can Toronto Police Itself out of a Homelessness Crisis?
"Jordan heath rawlings. This is the big story. Leilani fara is a former un special reporter on the right to housing. She is currently the global director of the shift which is a movement to secure the right to housing. So the perfect person to talk about what's going on in toronto recently. Hello alani hi there. Thank you for taking the time. Maybe we could just start for people outside of toronto and people who haven't been following it. Tell me about how the city has been handling encampments of an housed people that have formerly at least existed in parks across the city. Yes so with. The pandemic came actually a significant increase in the number of people living in parks across the city of toronto actually across canada. But we're talking about toronto. So i'll keep. I'll keep my comments there. And there are a number of reasons for that but one of them was of course the downsizing of shelters because of the social distancing rules that were part of the prescription to Try to curb the pandemic and so you know. Big shelters became smaller shelters. So let's say there were thirty beds. It might have gone down to fifteen beds. Hundred beds might have gone down to thirty beds and with nowhere to go. A lot of people ended up in parks. There are other reasons as well. As the pandemic ruled on it became increasingly clear that congregate or you know settings where a lot of people reside were becoming Hotbeds of Spread of covert and so a lot of people. Were thinking wait. I think i'm better off even though as really tough living. It's actually some of the living in parks. I actually might survive in a park. Whereas i may not in a shelter and of course we all know. Shelters are really hard places to live at the best of times so so toronto. The city of toronto saw this steep increase in the number of people living in parks and many parks park cats and bigger parks across the city.
How to avoid a super-spreading coronavirus Christmas
"Let's talk quickly about some tips to stay safe because we know that this coronavirus out there and we know that when it appears it can happen quickly by surprise and it's hard to get back to control so a good offense is the best defense as they say so norman. Water some about top tips for avoiding catching coronavirus around the christmas table. Okay so let's start white around australia before. We zero in on new south wales and queensland where the there are reported cases so everywhere around australia regardless. Whether it's christmas day or not. You got a symptom runny nose. Cough fatigue headache go and get tested. They'll be testing places. Open christmas day. Go and get tested. Don't wait that's the main thing that you can do in states where there are territories where there are. There's no virus circulating are apparently knows virus circulating. But there could be because you've got people coming in from overseas so any symptoms get tested. That's the main thing there and follow the rules in your state in terms of any restrictions that might be there. Victoria great news for hard work of july and august and september. Two has paid off. You've got a great christmas with virtually no or no fara circulating in victoria. So it's fantastic and it's just reward for the heart stuff that you've been going through in new south wales really regardless of whether your new south wales you just got to stop moving around and unfortunately you've got the best way to control from really spreading fast is for people not to be mixing with each other as so be mixing little as possible. Try cutting back. Your christmas lunch was probably too late by by the time. You're listening to this but really there are strict rules in place for the beaches area the northern beaches area of sydney but everywhere else. Just don't go out unless you really have to minimize the number of people who are coming into your home. That's the main thing that you can do wear masks when you go out to shop when onto public transport that should be mandatory. New south wales. It's not at the moment but you do your bit wear masks part from that. Have a great christmas. The you know it's important to enjoy it within that framework queenslanders. Some virus circulating. There's somebody from new south wales coming in. And there's a personal for super yachts apparently in far north queensland where the authorities are complaining that people are not being that forthcoming. Let's hope they are. to be alert and careful. What about around the table norman. We know that we talked before about whether or not you can catch the virus by eating it and we think we came to the conclusion that you probably can't but when you've got people touching their faces and sitting across the table from each other and there's food around should we doing christmas a bit differently the when it comes to eating and drinking. I think that's very hard to insist upon people coming together and having fun i think the main thing to say about christmas day wherever you are to make a safe as possible is if the weather allows it for example in western australia western stray where it can be very very hot and parts of regis trivia can be very hard as well but if it's possible to be outside that's the best place to be and you can really be much more relaxed outside than inside. So that's the key here. Try not to have an indoor christmas. And there's a little bit of evidence that you can consume it by eating. You can get captured by eating but not very much. There's not very much evidence really. That surfaces are a common source of infection. It's really through the air. That's why outside is so much more important. It's really unusual to catch this virus outside and kissing under the mistletoe. Yeah i think that's right you know. Just keep yourself to yourself. And there's of course i remixed if i didn't add that when you go to the bathroom flush with the done one can't have a coroner cast christmas without some party
Hundreds of kidnapped schoolboys have been freed in Nigeria, officials say
"Say hundreds of schoolboys kidnapped last week by militants claiming to be from the Islamist group Boka, Haram. Have been released. Officials in cats in the states a 344 boys have been freed, although they are in good health and will soon be released to their families or the reports are suggesting some remain in the hands of their captors. Nigeria's presidential spokesperson garb Isha, who told the BBC exactly what had happened. Well, you know, As we have said they were little commanders have said they they had to feed the entire place where they were held All of the parameters and showing exactly fishing had been identified by the military. The day after the abductions, and all of these things took that much time because nobody wanted to bring the corpses back home. There was no shooting. They totally and circled the location. And I'm sure that immediate impossible for anyone to smuggle anyone out. So that was the presidential spokesman Garba Shoes. So, Woz book around behind this, Or was it bandits out for money? Who'd been suggested by some officials? Well for more I spoke to earlier to our head of our BBC houses, service and you tangle. I can confirm to you that the cuts in a state government told us that 344 boys have are now in the custody off. Some forested governments on Fara is the neighboring country estate on off course, the information with God it is that the boys were handed over to Nigerian security personnel around a forest in Saffy local government in Zamfara state. And they were droving in trucks toe good, So the capital of Zamfara state, So it is this morning that they are going to find their way to cut Sena where they're expected to be reunited with their families. But what is not clear is that you know, the yesterday in the afternoon, Boco Haram released a video Where one of the boys were saying that the 500 plus boys in the forest, but what we know now is there are 344 boys that have been handed over to Nigerian government. And as you say with that question of whether they're still more boys being held captive. There's also another question that many I mean questions abound. But one of them also is how the boys were released whether any money exchanged hands, especially because government muscly had declared categorically that they wouldn't pay a ransom either to book our Army said they wouldn't negotiate with him or hand over money, too. The gunman who he said they were negotiating with. Well, the information with get it through five is that the Nigerian government did not pay any ransom. It was true negotiations with the group. So what we know so far is that these boys were abducted by a criminal gang off some bandits in cats in a state And they took them over to some for a state. But you know there are links between these criminal gangs and Boko Haram. This is now clear, but I think there was a group in the forefront of the negotiation, which is very popular in Nigeria. Miyata Laugh Lanie Association, So there are links between these groups and this, you know social cultural groups in northern Nigeria, and that is how the went on a negotiated what they claim there. Was there were no ransom paid, and I leave you in that video. I mean, I know you as the editor of the Household Service had poured over that video quite carefully, And they made the syriza of demand through that young man, one of them being about these Fulani herdsman or the Fulani gunman. Bond. There's been a lot of debate a lot of questions a lot of protests about the activities of these gunmen in northwest Nigeria. Surely negotiating with them is now only going to fuel this kind of debate in Nigeria and the questions about insecurity in the area, even though people are elated that the boys have been released. Yes. So The problem now is what other demands off these groups on one of the major demand is that the vigilante group that is the local security that is there in his own for A and Carson estate should be disbanded because these bandits are claiming that the local security personnel that's the vigilantes. Uh, killing their men. So what we don't know is if government will agree to that demon on disband this local vigilante. But what is clear is that there is high insecurity and the Nigerian security personnel talking about the Nigerian Army Air Force on Nigerian police on not capable and have shown that they don't have Enough one power to secure the area. The editor of our BBC Houses, Service Alley, you

Trump gears up for legal battle over election results
"We know that there are legal efforts Josh a cz Faras. We know ongoing in a number of states, there's an effort to have recounts in another in a number of states. Can the campaign can the president just essentially say, call off the dogs? It's over, not pursuing it. Or do you anticipate that despite what we're seeing from Fox News, the projection in terms of the winner of the 2020 election, other networks projecting the same thing. The president's message will be, you know, full steam ahead. We are proceeding with all of our efforts because in the president's words, he believes this election was somehow rife with fraud. We'll fax don't care about your feelings and politics. And this is not a particularly close race. In fact, you know if all the votes end up where it thinks, you know, things look like the map is going to remain where it is right now. Joe Biden will have the exact same number of electoral votes 306 when all is said and done if he wins Arizona, any wins the state of Nevada as we just call it, Fox. So I mean, this is not a particularly, you know, margin of error type of contest, and we'll see where margins end up in all the very close states like Georgia, But look, I from what I hear from the White House. People who advised Trump realised that political reality. The only question is when the president comes to that realization, and perhaps members of his family who have been urgent that they carry on and fight the good fight. But you know, the realities is intruding. It's even at the White House and They can see the results. We can see the margin in Pennsylvania. There's just not a whole lot of paths left for the
Pennsylvania ballot counting is delayed
"In Pennsylvania, they've announced that Allegheny County is not going to begin counting about 30,000 ballots. Until tomorrow. These systems are just broken. They're just broken. I mean that the possibility of undermining public confidence is so unbelievably high when you delay the count's this way when you're not counting through the night when you are delaying the counts. And obviously it's because of this patchwork of laws that have been created. That's not just on Democrats and Republicans. It was on Republicans in Wisconsin. It's on Republicans to a certain extent in Arizona. A lot of the message that air created here bipartisan message and they require natural cleanup. There's a reason that Florida runs this thing. Really tightly runs. This runs really clean shit when it comes to the voting count. According Crisp Otter. The reason why Allegheny County, which includes Areas that are very democratic and could make up the difference for the four for Joe Biden against Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. Right now, Trump holds a very slim lead in Pennsylvania. The reason that Allegheny County apparently is being delayed is because the ballots in question, according Chris Potter, who's reporter for W say, require special attention. The vast majority of the 29,000 involved situation where a vendor sent the wrong balance voters and then had to reissue new balance with the correct races. Challenges there. Now voters who have to balance one with the wrong race is you have to give those balances special security to make sure that a people don't vote twice and B. If they just send in the old one. They don't vote in races. They are eligible for us. You can't just scan them along with the rest. Other ballots in the pot include those that don't scan for another reason. When a team won't process the amount of the check. You want deposits. You have to bring it into the bank office when ballots required special scrutiny. The county records at the vote through return board whose members are sworn in and for that purpose. The board reviews the results tell it up by election workers after polls closed but also addressed his provisional ballots. Military ballots, etcetera. Board members are said to be sworn in Tomorrow, the Friday after Election Day. Is nothing in the fairy is here. The county's GOP chair is comfortable with the process. This is also not people just taking a day off. The other factors. The county has to wait until Friday for mail in ballots to come in there were postmarked by Election Day. That whole situation was adjudicated by the courts as faras the complaints that that Republicans have about ballots coming in after Election Day, they're not postmarked. Those ballots are in fact being sequestered there being kept separate from the other ballots until if the Supreme Court has to rule on that the Supreme Court will rule on that. As well. There are a lot of rumors out there right now regarding the possibility of voter irregularities and voter fraud. This is exacerbated by the fact that the Trump team is filing some fairly while predicated lawsuits. Apparently there's one lawsuit in Pennsylvania that they just had granted. It was an injunction forcing The trump ballot watchers to be allowed into The balloting areas. So this is it's all a mess. I mean, I think the short story here is is all a mess.

'Who the hell elected you?' Big tech CEOs grilled in US Senate hearing
"Tech company CEOs and guys very long beards and interest now, Fitz. They faced a lot of questions today in a hearing. I guess it was the Senate Commerce Committee If I'm not mistaken, But how did it go? And is there any news being made? Yeah. First of two appearances by the social texts, social media giant before Capitol Hill. This was the Commerce Committee ahead is Lindsey Graham's Judiciary Committee That's expected to be just after the election. But bottom line you know, Democrats and Republicans pretty much on the same page in terms of social media playing God with American democracy, choosing what posts get to stay up. Who's there? Come down and who gets blocked? Um, and during a presidential election. Ah, lot of alarm about that. Obviously, they seem to favor the more democratic side. So conservatives were particularly angry Ted Cruz really going at it with Jack Dorsey from Twitter. You know, Cruz saying who the hell elected you and put you in charge of what the media are allowed to report. What the American people are allowed to here and why persistent, behave behaving as a democratic super PAC, So he was pretty fight the Jack Gorski countered. You know, we're not doing that. This is why I opened this hearing with calls for more transparency, So there's pretty good back and forth. One interesting thing I should note is that Mark Zuckerberg, who had the all powerful Facebook initially had trouble connecting with the hearing. Really, somebody on this team or whatever. Overcame a technical difficulties and was able to jump in any appetite as faras stripping away the protections against them being held under slander laws, like newspapers and magazines have to adhere to radio stations any appetite for stripping that away from social media platforms and the leveling the playing field. Yeah, I think there really is. Ah, serious call for change. Obviously, everybody's focused with next Tuesday's election, and it won't happen before the election. But I think there's a lot of discomfort on both sides of the aisle. Really, with the power that these institutions the social media platforms have over our society that and and if they're able TTO basically regulate. Who's that gets to say What then There's a lot of concern about monopoly and whether you need to break them up and that sort of thing. So we'll see if a new Congress can maybe come together and do some kind of adjustments to their Regulation. But, you know, we'll see.

The old school playbook of the ground game and TV ads still dictate the 21st century campaign. But from the cove it era emerges a new playbook, according to the verge political reporter, mechanic Kelly and in that book Tuesdays Livestream marks a landmark event. McKenna. Welcome to the show. Hey, it's great to be here. So the stream was a massive success as Faras viewership goes, but it was also billed as a get out the vote effort. Do we know how successful that Wass At the peak point of the stream folks of the DNC were saying that they were getting the most referrals to the website? Two. I will vote dot com than they ever have. Do We know how money that Wass I was not able to get a specific figure. But during the vice presidential debate they bought fly will vote dot com And then when Taylor Swift Said that she was going to endorse Joe Biden they bought Taylor will vote dot com So there have been huge referrals to this link before and saying that the stream was bigger than say. That huge viral moment with the fly, and Taylor Swift, who is arguably one of the most famous celebrities in the world, says a lot Now, a lot of folks weren't going to sit through the entire thing. But there were moments that were clipped and put on Twitter or YouTube. Like when AOC talked about socialized medicine with H Bomber guy, you go to the doctor and you say I have this problem, and then they prescribe you medicine and then you just go pick it up. That's it. And then you go home. And you Google how much it would have cost in America. Oh, my God. Later he kills her. I'm actually a bit heartbroken, but, hey, life is cheap. Can you talk about that moment, so people and users on twitch our custom to diving in and out and jumping in the chat and chatting for a little bit and then maybe going watching on TV or some other video so unimportant part? Of the twitch culture is the clips function. And when people do catch something interesting those clips in those conversations Khun Go viral and reach even bigger audiences on Twitter on Facebook on YouTube than they ever could on twitch because which of course, is live. But these clips will last forever. Now. Polygon Senior Editor Patricia Hernandez wrote this week that it wasn't just about organizing and savvy. This was fandom. Those hundreds of thousands of viewers included thousands of stands, referring in this case to the AOC diehards. For people who you know, aren't as hep to the jive as I am. Stan is a term that's drawn from the title of an Eminem song. Right, Right. My girlfriend jealous because I've talked about 24 7, but you don't know him like I know you slim. No one does. You don't know what it was, like people like us growing up for me, man. I'll be the biggest fan. You'll ever lose yours, then. Yes, we could be together. When it comes Tio stand culture with pop culture and movies and television. Oftentimes people will draw fan art of their favor. Characters and people were doing that for a OSI in 2018, and she was re posting that fan art on her instagram page. So she has been building this community of people for a very, very long time. And that's why Tuesday's stream was so successful she already had this base. There are already people who stand each bomber guy. There are already people who stand Tucson piker and poking Manet and the other folks who are on there. There was just a bunch of communities colliding in a really interesting way. And then, of course,

Housing Boom: Sales of Million-Dollar Homes Double
"The pandemic is driving a record setting boom in the housing market, according to new numbers just out today, and as NPR's Kris Arnold reports, it's also exposing the ever growing gulf between the haves and the have nots in America. Overall about 20% more homes were sold in September compared to a year ago. But the most dramatic increases their happening at the top end of the market. Sales of homes costing a million dollars in up have more than doubled since last year. I don't ever recall home sells doubling in a 12 month times that Very unusual. That's Lawrence Yun, the chief economist of the National Association of Realtors. He says people are working from home while juggling their kids, remote schooling him and many who can afford to are buying bigger houses. Mortgage companies are making money hand over fist. Right now they're doing so many more home loans. Some are running ads like Thiss and although together is great, together with more space Is better. It's not just the super rich buying bigger places home selling between 255 $100,000, though, saw a 36% jump in sales. Meanwhile, the median home price has also just hit a new record. $312,000 Now you did great news for homeowners as they're seeing equity devised and why, but Yoon says prices are rising too fast. Economists like to see home prices climb in line with people's wages. But home prices, he says, are way beyond that. He will eventually lead to a talking point where first time buyers simply cannot show up to the market because they can't afford to buy any house that actually want to live in. And he's worried that that will lead to even greater income inequality. A that virgins in society you have to have With homeownership gaining their equity. Those people who would like to become homeowners continually being frustrated, Yoon says. Already, there are fewer first time Homebuyers as Faras. What's driving up prices? It's low interest rates, and there are also just aren't enough homes for sale. Construction is ramping up so that should help eventually. But for now, Homebuyers air quickly pouncing on the few homes that get put
Boston - Patriots cancel practice after another positive COVID-19 test
"At least by the reporting of Mike Reese and also field Yates of ESPN that the Broncos have A couple of or I should say the Patriots have a covert 19 positive, maybe two. What are you hearing? Yeah. And while I'm obviously here in the same stuff you in real time kind of trying to track it every step of the Broncos on haven't heard back yet to find out if they've heard from the league as Faras. Causing their plans or potentially looking at moved to. Ah, Monday starter a Tuesday on Tuesday. Kick potentially on so I'm sure that the Broncos are you know they're about to hit the practice field or they may be out there right now. Normally I'd be there. But again the new baby's keeping practice. But this is the practice will go Tell that 12 45. They're not going to change that at this point, because right now you work so much situational stuff. And not just situational is related to the game, but but situational things, you know, onside kick stuff and things that you know, I don't say trick plays. Um No, We just didn't play very well. And I'm responsible for that. And we've got to do a better job Coaches to tryto help put our guys in a better position. When we did get off the field on third down, they went for it. On fourth down. They went fast. We never got lined up. They must have converted. "Well, I've been I've been with this trading group since October of last year, which was 2015. And to be perfectly honest with you. I have found that everything I was told is correct. And I find that to be very refreshing based on some of my previous experiences. I hate this point of put myself in a position where I don't have a boss, I pretty much set my own my own hours. As far as that goes time, commitment is completely up to me. If if I decide that I want to work for two or three hours a day or if I want to work for five hours a day or I just want to take the day off. I could do any of those things. And of course, you know, it's already mentioned six figures, Plus plus potential is very achievable. So that is absolutely another one of the goals. Of course, moving ahead. It's been a really great week. So far. Good. I'm loving it. I'm loving it. I'm actually kind of excited about today's show. Me too. We've got some great guests in the in the studio here with us today. We're going to be talking interior designing. I mean, that's you gotta have your house looking nice. Yes. You know, you don't want to have it looked like how it would look if I Was in charge of design. You know, interior designing the house. That would be bad. Yeah, that would be bad. So we're going to be talking with Chandler and Jeremy quarrels of peach and pine home. They are. They know their stuff. They began their journey and interior design by renovating their own home as newlyweds. What about six years ago? You were saying? All right, 78? I don't know. I think you better know how long you've been married. Okay, Married eight. We bought her for some, like nine months later. So it's about seven and well when they did that they discovered their new passion and that's home design. And renovation and now their business, peach and pine home. Is there full time Endeavour so they designed remodels and renovations and new bills and and everything from the dreaming stage all the way through to completion and helping homeowners. Create spaces and to love where they live. So Jeremy Chandler, welcome to Hae No. Some show. Thank you so much for having us for having us. Yeah, Well, I guess you know the obvious question than obvious number one question is, you know what exactly does an interior designer do? How long is this show? Well, we've only got six hours. So pacers can maybe fitted in? Yeah. I mean, I would just say that an interior designer We always say that and an ideal Home update situation You have unengaged homeowner you have. They can be married, right Homeowner? Who cares about what? Okay and a great contractor or great vendors who can do the work and then a designer. Behind it. Also, it's the it's kind of the trifecta of folks involved. That makes really successful home renovation are home remodel project, and so we basically helped the homeowner envision the end result. We create design plans. We meet with the homeowner initially and figure out How they live in their space and what they want what they envision and then we can kind of interpret what they love and help them create space. That's perfect for them, and so we do all the design. We have everything organized and then we work with their contractor or whoever they're using their vendors, their subcontractors to communicate that design and make sure that it comes off perfectly set. Wow. Okay, could have said it better myself. So they're professionals. Yeah, there is that up to them. And so you know, being a love where you live. I mean, that's going to start with The house that you buy or the home that you buy. So what are some of the basic questions? Somebody should ask themselves before they get out there and start shopping with a realtor. That's a great question. Think one question we ask clients A lot is how do you How do you live in your house? Like what? Our ways. In what ways do you envision yourself? Living in the house. The way that people will answer that will often tell you a lot about kind of what they value. What are some examples of that Somebody might say, Well, I just, You know, I just envision us the kids out in the backyard, running around and playing and you know, that might say, like, okay, well, they may want to invest some more and like their outdoor space or like I just love it when we all like my whole family gets together and we have Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen, and we're all like sitting together. It's like, OK, well, that my informer or if they entertain a lot, that kind of exactly those sorts of things can really just give you Little insights into what they're going to value from the design side, Okay, and as Faras home shopping, I mean, I think some people are excited about buying a home that needs a lot of renovation until they've done until they've dio. I used to be that guy. It's easy to go in with an HD TV like glossy might just rip out this world's boom boom. It's done only thanks 30 minutes. And I love a good home renovation, obviously, and I love an old house that needs a lot of love. But I think every homeowner has to decide for themselves. Are we willing to take on the whole gut job of this house or do we would we rather start with More basic, maybe freshly built house and then we can add character into it. I think that answer. It's just different for everybody. So yeah, that's true. That's true. We were talking before we went on the air that we're all working from home right now. The whole cove it thing is kind of changed the way a lot of people are doing things so How are you approaching that with what you do, You know, you got to go into people's houses. I mean, how are you handling that? Yeah, I would say in the first couple months of shutdown 1st 6 weeks or so we've shut down way happen to be at a place with a lot of our projects when we had already We weren't start. We didn't start anything new in that time frame. Really. We kind of already started with several projects We were in the design phase can primarily be done in our home. And we're doing a lot of zoom calls with our clients where I was sending them the design plans, and I would like drop off a box on their front porch of tile samples, and I'm going to say how you like. Show them fabric samples or something will resume. Exactly. I was literally for several people just Dropped off a basket on their front porch, mailed them stuff and said, OK, have this ready for our meeting, and then we do a zoo meeting and I'd say it's that tile sample right there, you know on DH, so we did some of that, especially in those early days. And we really, I mean, we made it work. And then as things have kind of started, go opening back up. I mean, I'm wearing masks in people's homes and cock construction hasn't really slowed down. In fact, most of the contractors we work with our Easier than they've ever been right now. It's haven't nearly behind that. I think everybody's been spending so much time in their house there like I am so sick of this place. We need to fix it up now or move. We're home everyday. Now's a good time to get this stuff done because weaken oversee it because I could see the I mean, I've bought stuff online like I've bought a rug online. You know, you get it, and it's like.

"Bauer, NBC News radio correspondent. Michael Welcome to the show. Thank you so much for having me, sir. And a happy happy Wednesday to you. We did not get swallowed up by the Earth. There was Earthquakes, The sun rose in the east and set in the west. You know, as I watched this thing, whether or not you agree with the choice, even like the choice whether you like Joe Biden or not the rollout to me see, measured and assured. It was well thought out and executed and even well timed. In contrast to what's going on in Washington, D. C. Where everyone's a whirling dervish trying to get attention there. Yeah, listen, that's one of the things Washington D. C does very well, I think second only to Los Angeles, where everybody screaming. Look at me. Look at me, Andi. Reality here is that I think it was very much. I honestly believe that the Kamala Harris was probably the top of Joe Biden's list to begin with. Anyway. Ah, And I think that when it all came down to kind of discerning who on the list might call it a little bit of problems with history that they've had, like, I think Susan Rice would bring up too many memories of Of Benghazi on some level, and when you look at Elizabeth Warren, and maybe she's too progressive, and you're looking at Joe Biden, trying to unify that Democratic party, which clearly has seemingly since 2016 leaned a little bit more to the left. I think you got somebody in in common Harris, who voting record very similar to that of Bernie Sanders, so seemingly at least a little bit on the voting record element. More progressive. But somebody who kind of plays the more middle of the road element for Democrats and somebody who, obviously historically the first black woman in the first Asian American woman to be a major party nominee for the vice presidency. And somebody who, when you're looking at recent polling by Democratic voters really felt strongly about having her be a part of the team. They liked her. They were They were favoring her in these polls over people like Susan Rice, so she brings extensive governing experience to her position. No, just a little bit less than Elizabeth Warren. As Faras, the governing experience element goes and with that, I think you see somebody who is a fighter. Somebody who's certainly younger than anybody else. It will be. Up for election this year. As far as the president, he goes. So you're looking at somebody who's 20 years plus Joe Biden's junior and somebody who I think is going to be more than willing to get into a fight when need be. So this offers an opportunity for Joe Biden to kind of Do what he's done so far, which is people refer to it to stay in the basement. I think it's more along the lines of Let President Trump keep talking and you'll see his numbers go down. But in any of those cases, I think it offers up a position for Kamala Harris, who a lot of people in this country only know her from being a tough person. And when she's when she is in a situation where she seems to be coming across, is that prosecutor that she is Like in AA Judge Justice Cavanaugh's confirmation hearing or in bill bars, confirmation hearing or even back to Jeff Sessions. She will be somebody who will be able to take any attacks coming from President Trump from President Trump's administration from allies and be able to fight it while Joe Biden is sitting back, working on policy and making sure the elements of what would need to happen if he's elected president. Come to fruition. So I think this is this is a clear cut indication that let the person who's strong and do the fighting. Do the fighting and let Joe Biden just kind of make ends meet until he gets to sit down with President Trump on the debate stage. It is the ultimate good cop, bad cop to a certain extent. Yeah, and somebody who in the if you're looking at the In this particular case, Uh, if you're looking at the good cop of being Joe Biden, bad cop being another element of bad cop here that's going to come into play, which is she's somebody who as a district attorney and an attorney general in San Francisco, may have ruled in a lot of favor of the police department and police there in those departments, and that's something that in this day and age, certainly the black lives matter. Protests are going on. She's gonna have to answer for She's gonna have to try to walk a very thin line here, Mark in regards to do you favour police. Or are you favoring those people like George Floyd, who were killed by police and and how do you manage that? On some level That's going to be an interesting road to see how she's going to walk that line on. What do you do when it comes to in these black lives matter Days. People talking about their funding the police she's been a part of of having an overhaul of police forces before what's that going to look like? So their questions there? But again, I have to say this clearly, I don't think Democrats were that worried about that. I don't think Democrats or that worried about how she went after Joe Biden on the debate stage early on, I think it's the end of day. Democrats are worried about getting trump out of office. And you haven't given them anything in Kamala Harris to make them think twice about voting on that ticket, Michael. With all the hoopla over this pic, I don't sense a groundswell of people excited over this. I mean, is this as exciting or attractive as it's going to get? I think it's it's about as attractive as it could get. I think you know all things considered. I think the Democrats again don't they have no reason? Necessarily at this point in fight over it. You certainly had those when you had Bernie Sanderssupporters. Therein. The Bernie Bro's You certainly had that with a little bit of Elizabeth War, and you certainly had that with the Bloomberg's where they were involved in the Yangs are involved. I think this is kind of offered up a different element and again in a place in age where we're learning if we have it before. We're learning a certain amount of patients from Cove in 19 from Corona virus here, and that's gonna have to play out going into the election year. We're gonna be voting differently then we had in years past and we'll be voting differently at a time and place where you're looking at election officials saying You're.

Like these air soft tissue. Injuries. If you well, they're not something that's going to keep them sidelined for a super long time unless they linger, and that's why they have to rest right now. That's why you have to take care of these while when they first pop up and even I got chance talk with Tim Connolly about his experience in the bubble a little bit and he brought that up. First hand is like we were worried, you know, going 0 to 100 having guys arrive is late to the bubble as our team has. They're just ask to go full speed right away. And you can't really replicate right game speed when you're off for four months in that way, and they're hitting the weight room hard their plan for on for their hit bodies hard. "The haystack. A ce faras trying to find is very grateful that we were able to find it without running it over with a machine or something this fall during harvest, or or God forbid the combine sucked it up and it would have destroyed us, but I guess they're expensive. So this dude lost. But this happens, though, like skydivers will cut away their parachute. If if there's a malfunction, and then they'll go to the reserve parachute, the other one floats away, But they're expensive there thousands of dollars these parachutes that people are like You're trying to figure out where it went. So you can go and get it. But you know, if your 7000 feet in the air, whatever you are, it could go you know, Mile away whenever the wind so sometimes want to take the plane up and like fly around trying to find where the thing because you often times you start having places in the middle of fields. How long does it take so like? Get rid of one parachute to go to a back up to go out. One second is just a number to you. If you pull on one thing in any point, another sometimes it's automatic that how did they not get twisted together? Well, they can You hope they don't. But you're also falling 100 27 miles an hour or whatever it is. So you're hoping that when you cut one away, that's the argument not to get too much in the sky. I mean, but this thing, eh? That will fire one. Often. There's also other methods of like, you know, you pull one and then the other one automatically. One will deploy. And there's an argument against that. Insofar as you might open one into the other and get tangled, right. So so if one shoot malfunctions, it's still good. Like you. They could still fix it if they find it. Yeah, yeah, because if it could just tangled up or whatever. Then if they find it, they can untangle it. You could fly it again. Even if there's a hole in it. They could fix the hole sometimes. And as a licensed skydiver, you know how to pack that. So you have to pack your parachute to get a license. I did it and I don't remember if you had to jump at the place that I learned to skydive. You had to pack and jump your pack. I did that one so I could pass. And now I pay someone else Just getting May I would rather somebody professional. That's done it a 1,000,000,000 times. You say it like you just pay the guy. You do this all day. You think this thing and by the way, I hope you're having a nice day, and here's a tip. Exactly. Here's a little extra money from you. Boy.
