Charles Payne: On Investing, 'Stay the Course but Do It Very Smartly'
"Close to four decades and of course people now stop me in the street and invariably they always say I'm not in the market I'm afraid in the market you know I was looking at a market and if they're wearing a or Nike shirt a hat with caterpillar on and like well where'd you get that hat? My grandfather gave it to my father and he gave it to me I'm like you know what you guys love the company that much if you own the stock when your grandfather probably gave your father that hat you guys are on half of Manhattan so listen these periods these periods that we're going through are tough. In my book on page 63 begins the chapter Geopolitics War and Conflict. We know there's going to be these sort of ups and downs. Essentially though humankind wins out I mean what we saw over the weekend It was so barbaric I get goosebumps honestly right now at this very moment thinking about it and that we that people human beings are still capable in this modern age of doing that to other human beings and we're going to prevail humanity's going to prevail over that. I think if we're vigilant pretty much if we're steady like you're talking about investing stick to your principles and keep pushing and don't don't be diverted from your focus and so forth the average person out there who may not be in stock but but they have an IRA and they have a 401k maybe they're in government instruments or something like that is that a smart thing? It's a smart thing if you don't want to do any work. This is my third book and this is a companion book to my prior book and it's a fair amount of work. It's not a second job and it's probably on par with someone who does fantasy football

I got some breaking news for the NFL and crypto fans out there. There's some ways to make more money with crypto if you're a fan of fantasy football in the NFL like a lot of you probably are. Now, guys, unless you're under a rock, you've heard of fantasy football. Well, there's a crypto aspect to fantasy football, and that's draft kings. Draft kings have NFTs of every single player that you could draft. So if you play fantasy football and you see that random wide receiver, that random running back, you can draft that as an NFT. Well, there's a big, big injury that happened on Sunday. You maybe saw Aaron Rodgers. He got a career -ending injury, potentially career -ending. It's definitely season -ending. It's a bad Achilles heel injury, and he is out. Well, where's the crypto opportunity in that? Well, NFTs of Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson was the backup player for the Green Bay Packers. NFTs of Zach Wilson shot up from $69 all the way up to $555. Okay, that is an 8x. That's almost a 900 % gain right there. Sorry. No, it's 700%. That's almost a 700 % gain right there, folks. All right. Thank you, editor, for bearing with me here. Now, that NFT was for the elite version, and there's only 30 copies of those. So the less supply there is, the more value that these NFTs are going to have. So you don't want to go for the common or the uncommon if you're trying to flip NFTs. A lot of times, you just want to go for the rare for that hot, for that holy grail of the NFTs there. Now, what is the next opportunity, guys? Now, this was a huge, huge gain, okay? Going from $69, which is a pretty nice price, all the way up to $550, that's people would go crazy. A Wall Street guru, the world's best Wall Street trader, would go nuts for those types of returns. Well, guys, I think these returns can be had regularly, okay? Now, it might not always be a marquee player like, you know, Aaron Rodgers is in the backup, but sometimes, you know, running backs get injured all the time. Wide receivers get injured all the time. Other quarterbacks, there's, you know, almost 30 other quarterbacks that are, you know, worth their salt there. There's going to be tons of opportunities. Say your fantasy football team is doing terrible. You're horrible. You're in last place. You know you're not going to get in the playoffs. It's three weeks in, and you basically want to throw in the towel. Well, don't give up because there's a lot of opportunity with this DraftKings angle. All you have to do is just watch Sunday. Be the first one or two people to buy the NFT of that soon -to -be upgraded bench warmer, okay? Maybe it's a running back. Maybe it's a quarterback. Maybe it's a wide receiver. You don't know who's it going to be because we don't know who's going to get injured. There's going to be a lot of people maybe watching behind. There's going to be people FOMOing in later. There's going to be people maybe buying it an hour later. I want you to be watching the game, and I want you buying that NFT within seconds. Now, if you have a knowledge about football and you have a knowledge about crypto, this is a unique opportunity for you because not everyone is going to have your knowledge. Not everyone has your years of training being that armchair quarterback. You know, watching this channel, discovering crypto, figuring out how to get this wallet, figuring out what do you mean NFT marketplace, knowing what that means, knowing what your seed phrase is, having it written down, having all these things safe and having a roster of NFL NFTs that you can capitalize off of as there's going to be a lot of opportunity here. Sixteen weeks left, right? Seventeen weeks in the season. We got a lot of weeks left in the season. That's a lot of weeks of injuries. That's a lot of weeks of buying NFTs. And, guys, it's not just Sunday. We got Monday. We got Thursday. I think even Saturday night sometimes, so there's going to be opportunity. So if you're a football fan, turn it into an opportunity, a money -making opportunity. I'm not saying, you know, you're going to get paid 100 bucks an hour to watch football, but some people literally were paid hundreds of dollars an hour to watch football. Those that bought that Zach Wilson NFT and those that sold into the profit because that's going to be the key as well is spiked all the way up to 550 bucks. Guess what? Zach Wilson's NFT is now down. It's, I think, under 300. So you sell into the hype. You get in. You get out. There's a lot of opportunity to be made here, folks. I'm trying to give you financial freedom. So if you watch some football, you like NFTs, this is a great opportunity for you. That's all I got. DZ out. Let's discover crypto together, baby. You've been dreaming about the dress. It is an all -time one for us. We did Black Cat, Me and Chris Ryan, Michael Mann movie. We were running out of Michael Mann movies. We don't care. We love this movie. We're probably in the minority. I also went on the big picture with Sean Fennesey. They did a Denzel Washington movie draft and I was on there with Sean and Amanda Dobbins and Chris Ryan and Van Lathan. That was really fun. I got over competitive. I'm sorry. I apologize to everybody in the room. Coming up on this podcast, well, the Jets, that happened. We're gonna talk about what happens now at the AFC East with Benjamin Solak. We're gonna bring in our guy, Sean Fennesey, diehard Jets fan to walk through his emotions the last 12 hours. And then last but not least, Nick Khan, who was running WWE, but today they merged with UFC. And we're gonna talk about that merger, what it means, what it means for the business, what's Vince McMahon's role in the whole thing. And then we're gonna talk a lot of sports media stuff as well. ESPN versus Charter, what the NBA rights are gonna be. So this is an action -packed podcast. Dare I say it's a TKO for you, the listener. Let's bring in Pearl Jam. All right, we're taping this on Tuesday morning, we got the words that Aaron Rodgers, out for the year, torn Achilles, Sean Fennesey, who I've worked with for 11 plus years at this point, diehard Jets Mets fan, Knicks, been a rough ride, rocky road. After Rodgers went down five minutes into the game, you just tweeted goodbye and it didn't respond to texts. We didn't know. I was saying it was like, Marcuson's gone. There is no Marcuson. It's like, Sean's gone. There is no Sean. How are we feeling today? Thanks for having me on the show, Bill. Really kind of you to have me on. I feel justified in all of my melodramatic curse talk. I'm sure I feel similar to how you felt in 2002, 2003, you know, with the socks and feeling anxiety. I feel bad. I feel even worse, actually, because they won for a variety of reasons. But we got a chance to see, like, this is a really cool, fun, exciting team. And they, I don't know if they were Super Bowl bound, but it's easy to imagine a world in which they could have been Super Bowl bound. So yeah, I feel I feel very bad. Very bad. Well, I think the revelation from last night was that Breese looked like 95 percent of where he was last year, which I was not expecting. He was a weird fantasy football guy. It was people like, when's he going to be 100 percent, is it going to happen? So the fact that he looked like that almost made the Rogers thing worse as the game was going on, if it was even possible to feel worse about it, because it's like, oh, this guy is like a guy again. Yeah, even at the very beginning of the game, it's stupid to nitpick the first four play calls. But I was like, wow, they're really throwing a lot coming out of this game. I thought the whole point of this season was to actually use the running game to power Rogers. Obviously, the injury is a freak injury. Nothing could have prevented it. He's an older player. That O -line is obviously problematic, but it was painful actually watching Breese play so well because that could have been really the focal point of the offense. And then Aaron Rodgers just needed to be competent and then this would have been a really competitive team. So it's like I'm legitimately depressed about it. On the other hand, I tell you what I really don't like about it.

Craig Horlbeck, Danny Kelly, Danny Heifetz from The Ringer Fantasy Show. We're going to come on, and we're going to talk about all of our guys that we like, dislike, that we're afraid of in the fantasy football season, and then went to Cleveland to find Garrett Bush, who is kind of a big guy there. I got to say, he's kind of a guy. He's going to tell us what to expect from the Browns, who are the most confusing 2023 team. A lot of that has to do with Deshaun Watson, which Deshaun Watson, are we going to get? How do we feel about Deshaun Watson in 2023, just in general? And where is Cleveland Sports going? What's happened to them this century? All the good, all the bad. And he's going to lay all of it out for us. So this is a really good podcast. Can't wait. First, our friends from Pro Chip. All right, it's the second annual My Guy Fantasy Draft. Our Ringer Fantasy Show guys are here. Danny Kelly, Danny Heifetz, Craig Horlbeck, my rewatchables producer, always nice when he pops on the BS. So we did this last year. We didn't win any awards, but sometimes you don't need to win awards. Sometimes when something's great, when it works, you just kind of know it, and we're going to run it back. Heifetz, you want to explain what this gimmick is? Yeah, it's you text us a bunch of ridiculous categories and then we kind of build an entire show, right? No, it's fun, though. It's just like it's a draft, but it's not a draft. And then it's it's vibes. It's a vibes episode. Yeah, we can agree on this. The concept is like you go into a fantasy draft. We all have the same kind of guides, same kind of rankings, but it doesn't capture the love. It doesn't capture the irrational. I just believe in this guy. It doesn't capture Craig thinking that that Pickens is going to end up being Justin Jefferson this year. There's just some things he already is or fear PTSD from bad draft picks from the past. I actually listened to a lot of the pod we did last year, and it was pretty funny hearing some of the guys we were like completely enamored by that ended up being bust. And then there were some other ones that I was surprised by the accuracy of it. Danny Kelly, can you ever be right in a fantasy draft? Can you ever go perfect? One in a million. It's like picking stocks, you know, if you get one good one, then you're set. Last year, mine was Romandre. I listened to our show last year, too. Feel like I nailed that one. Didn't get some other ones right. So that's, you know, we don't have to re litigate those. But Romandre, I'm calling that one. The take I was proudest of last year was fearing Cooper Cup after the year that he had just not liking the scent of something. This is veteran experience. I've been doing fantasy, I think since like 1989, 1990, something like that. All right. So I'm going to rip through the categories here. And then we're going to go at them one at a time. This is not, it's a draft, but it's not a draft because if we all have the same guy for a category of two of us have it, it's fine. We're okay. Um, the categories are my one true love, the guy that we just liked the most, my crazy pills guy. Do you want to explain the crazy pills thing, Craig? Uh, I think it could go either way, right? It's either you feel like you're taking crazy pills because nobody else likes the guy you like, or it's the other way around where you feel like you're taking crazy pills because everybody likes this guy and you don't understand it at all. So there's a little variance on that one. You can go either way. There's the my I absolutely hate myself for doing this guy, which seems to happen over and over again in fantasy where you go in there, drive like, well, I'm not going to end up with Russell Wilson. Uh, that was the example I used last year. It could be the example you use again this year. I'm not even gonna spend a dollar for Russell Wilson. Then it gets to the 17th round. If you're in a booger eater draft or, you know, you have $5 left for five guys and it's like, ah, Russell Wilson, Sean Payton, and all of a sudden you have Russell Wilson and you have no idea how he ended up on your team. So that is the, my absolutely hate myself for doing this guy. Uh, there's the, I'm going to add this category. It's a little sub category. The I'm staying away from that whole team team. There's teams where you're just like, I'm out, I'm just blind out. I don't want one person from that team. I'll see, we'll see if we agree on that team. Then we have the, my shameless Homer pick guy. That's going to be really, I mean, Craig, you don't even have to go. Uh, although there could be their tickets like plus 500, but I think we know pick is going to be there. There's the, my, I wouldn't take him even if he was free guy. So you're putting them on your D and D do not draft list. I had McCaffrey as my guy for this last year, which looked brilliant for about six weeks. Then he got traded a machine of an offense. We have the, my, that 2022 booty call isn't happening again guy, which is a new category for this year. This is the, you stumbled into somebody in the free agent auction, maybe in November, you wrote them for a couple of weeks, some fond memories, but you know, as a one night stand or, you know, as a three week stand and you're not going back, then we have the, this is a classic one. The somebody's got to get points on that team guy. We just look at all the teams and like, well, I don't know. Everybody scores 300 someone's catching passes on that team. Someone's rushing for 970 yards. There is the, my sorry, I'm sorry. That's too rich for my blood guy where you look at the draft guide and you see some of the salaries next to the guys. Then you go wait at $47. So Najee Harris was my guy for this last year. And I was proud of that one. There's the, my $1 QB guy. You're not, he's not going to make it break a draft, but you're also kind of secretly stashing away in your head. And we all have our $1 QB. There is the, my I'd be afraid to look on Tuesday and see the red flag guy, which I've added this year. I didn't even tell you about this category. You take the guy and it's going great. Eloy Jimenez is the ultimate baseball example of this. It's going great. You're feeling awesome. And then you go on there on a Tuesday and there's the red flag with the yellow box that there's news. And you're just like, Oh no. Oh God, what happened? And there's certain guys who just, it happens every year. A cousin of that, the, my, I know there's a 99 % chance he's getting hurt again, but God damn, I can't resist this guy guy. Then we have the, my Cooper cup. It's a year after the year guy. So I named this category after Cooper cup. So who is it this year? They had their year last year. Don't do it again. Don't get sucked in five more. The my, I just want everyone on that offense. I don't care guy. The my it's a year too early, but fuck it guy. The my missionary position. We've all had him guy. The my, I fell for the preseason hype guy. And then finally the, my I'd never root for an injury, but he is one injury away. That guy. All right. So we're going to start with my one true love. We're going to go and we're going to go on one, two, three, four on the zoom. And then for the second round, then the second guy will go, Danny Kelly, you're up. All right. My one true love. Who is it? I got to go with Tony Pollard for the Cowboys. I'm irrationally in love with this guy. I've been saying it. I think there's nothing you can say. It convinced me that he's not the best player in the NFL. Like, like just pound for pound, the best player in the NFL. Um, you know, last year he finished as the RV seven this year. He's going to be playing, I think more snaps, getting way more opportunities. If he can get up to like the same level of opportunities as Ekeler and CMC, you know, cause he's in that style of runner. I think this guy could finish as a top three running back in the NFL. And so I am, I'm just like full as a gentleman said, full bloom in love with Tony Pollard. I just can't, I can't help it. So in the ringer fantasy guide, he's 13th right now and he's gone for $42 in auction. So you think that's low? Yeah, I would, I would, I actually had Pollard too. Wow. We all have Pollard. Wait, did you too, Krik? I'm scared now. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's, well, that's, that's, this is a sign that, yeah, this is a terrible sign, but I just, I mean, just to pile on to DK stats here, Zeke had 12 touchdowns last year and Nick and Tony Pollard was a top 10 running back. Like what else do you need to hear? Like every time Tony Pollard was on the field, he was the best running back in the league. And now Zeke's gone. Like I rest my case. This is the pregame show where they all pick the same team to win a football and then that team loses. So you should probably stay away from Tony Pollard. Wait. So all three of you had Tony Pollard for this? Yeah, I can give you some. We did not discuss this before coming on. I didn't expect that. Oh, my God. Talk about groups and Jesus. You know, it's, you know, what sucks about this is that means when I have my big auction draft in a week and all my friends are going to be listening to this. And when Tony Pollard comes up, I'm not going to get them because they're all going to bid them up for $57 if I want to get them. Well, Bill's like, oh my God. Well, here's the argument. Rich Rebar, who works for Warren Sharpe, he's at Sharpe Football Analysis and he is a really good comp, which is basically Melvin Gordon was playing ahead of Austin Eckler for years. And everyone's begging for Austin Eckler to get the job. And then Austin Eckler finally got the job and the charges got rid of Melvin Gordon. And then Austin Eckler still wasn't really a first round pick. And we talked ourselves out of it. We hemmed it on. This is Tony Pollard again. It's like Zeke is finally after five years out of Dallas. And we're like, yeah, any point you get Tony Pollard, that's actually crazy. Like, honestly, you could get him for forty five bucks. Austin Eckler is going to go for 60. Tony Pollard would probably just be better than Austin Eckler this year. I kind of genuinely mean this. Tony Pollard should maybe be the first pick in fantasy football. Right? You can convince me. Kind of genuinely. Well, he does have a great offensive line. There are going to be a couple of games against bad teams where he, you know, you have him on Thanksgiving or something and he puts up the four touchdown hundred and eighty yard game. I can see it. So I guess I'm up then because you guys all agreed. You can have anybody you want. My one true love this year, Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, who I also like for MVP. So. Last year, he missed two games and they also blew out what what was a D .K. like seven, eight team, seven, eight games where they just like in the fourth quarter, they didn't even really have to play offense. They're just kind of running out of the string. Yeah, I don't think their defense is going to be as good this year. Sheila Kapadia on the on the NFL show has been talking about this. I think it's to be better than he thinks, but it won't be as good on it. And their schedule is tougher. But, you know, is it possible that he's like a four thousand one thousand guy with some sort of combination of 40 to D like everyone agrees they have the best offensive line in the league. Everyone agrees the one to A .J. Brown, Devonta Smith punch is way up there. And I'm saying like Schrager on TV this week was saying Devonta Smith, this is the year he jumps up to the chase class. So we have that with Dallas Goddard, who everybody thinks is the best all around tight end in the league, the guy who actually blocks and plays three downs, running backs, whatever. Put anyone behind there and they'll gain 80 yards. And then he's going to get a lot of the goal line carries. I think he's my top QB this year. I think I would take him before everybody else. So I don't even think it's that controversial. What do you think of that one? He is, I think you're right. I think the key point you have there is that he barely played in the fourth quarter last year. That's the key thing. He was already in a per game basis. He was the best quarterback in fantasy last year and he barely played the fourth quarter. Yeah. So you could argue he hasn't even reached the ceiling yet. He's our number one guy on the guide right now, I believe. Shameless plug for fantasyfootball .300 .com. He's our 21st player. We have like all our rankings there. And yeah, he has the highest floor and the highest ceiling. My favorite stat about Jalen Hurts, other than 18 rushing touchdowns in 18 games last year, Jalen Hurts had more games over 30 points than under 20. That's everything you want in a quarterback. Well, so he's number one in our guide, but I still feel like in a draft, Mahomes is going over him because of the Mahomes. It's just the most fun to have Mahomes. The R. And I actually think that's a little nuts this year. DK, Hurts is I think either 12 to 1 or 11 to 1 on FanDuel for MVP. And I think those odds are the most out of whack of all the MVP odds, because that's, if you're going to say the MVP is going to come from an awesome team, they're probably one of the five teams that has a chance to go 13 and 4, 14 and 3, something like that. He, they have the most talent on offense, I think, of any team that's going to be in the MVP conversation and we've seen him get better every year. So why is he 11 to 1, 12 to 1? Shouldn't he be like 6 to 1, 7 to 1? Shouldn't it be where Josh Allen is? I don't, is it just because of the previous like impressions that he was a, what was he a third round pick or second round pick and maybe hold on to that for too long? Or maybe it's just because he's surrounded by such a good team. I don't know. But yeah, like you said, he's improved pretty much every season he's been playing, even going back to college. You know, from everything that we've heard, he is maniacal about like working and leadership and just all the things, all the intangibles. And then, of course, you know, if he takes a jump as a passer this year, you know, that's going to be huge for him because he's already like one of the best running quarterbacks. He's double digit rushing touchdowns in the last two years. You know, everything about him screams just, you know, like the face of the franchise season. He's everything they want. And so I could see it like from a narrative point of view, for sure. It reminds me of what you used to have with Russell Wilson when he was alive.

Keith, I want to start by giving a shout -out to Tom Brown, a listener dedicated who I had a chance to catch up with on Tuesday at the undercard presser for Canelo Alvarez, Jermell Charlo. "Chance to be a decent streamer or potential guy that you can lean on attention. I can't really see myself being super active on waivers. Unless you know like a like a marcus brown or something slip through the cracks. But i will say that sammy. Watkins by the way did lead the team in receiving and targets. Ninety six yards on eight targets brown had the touchdown. But i mean it's just not. I don't think it's a great week and we haven't even gotten to the tight ends but i don't. I don't think there anything spending the receiver position you know. I think the guys at the top have some long term appeal. You know patrick for as long as as judy's always on do a great job last year with starting out beasley and williams know what. You're getting shepherd. I thinking kind of what you're getting at this point you know we were. We were talking about him in the preseason. I'm surprised that his ross percentages as low as it's the it's the guys after that you know from reagan down because like i have nelson agla there. He scored he had more targets christian. Kirk had the two touchdown game you know. But they're still crowd receiving core there. Zach passable. you mentioned sammy watkins. You believe me into devante parker. Gabriel davis scored. We know he has some upside. You have to rent six catches you know. So there's there's a lot of guys. So i wouldn't go crazy with your your waiver certainly fabulous. It's like this every week wide receiver right now. These guys that i'm gonna mention in the story are going to get cut next week and let me just be clear. Mike williams are reliable. Measurements will be available a lot. Mike williams is available. I'm definitely gonna be interested. I know i have. I have a lot of levy on bell. I have gabriel davis in a couple of weeks. I just had an empty rushbo take a chance here. I'll probably drop him. So i know i will be active but i think for the most part the guys i started last week or probably going to be in my lineups especially at quarterback and tight end. I'm not sure i saw anyone really emerged. We'll let you tell me tight end. Is there anyone that we need to be adding so the two that i have at the top one is more of a. Hey let's see. What happens in john johnson because he's You know the two touchdowns. The only played twelve offensive snaps. But you know. I i lean on peepers. Go for the guys that he speaks to in those he sean payton. These was with sean payton. Sean told him that he likes this guy lot now. He only had three targets to them. zone But i'm trying to at six so you know. Just take that into account that he's not the primary tight end and he's more For a team. That didn't throw the ball out but still got five touchdowns from from the quarterback. So we'll see what happens with him. Moving forward the other one who impressed me though is called commit. If you watch that game you saw how involved he was and he had seven targets five catches forty two yards. Nobody on the team had more than forty five yards receiving. That's a great defense that they fixed the bengals don't have that same level of defense so if they can continue to get seven targets..

"You listen to that one Really started admirable job in his limited appearances with washington iran. He does run. yeah Looking about eight weeks chip cartilage in his knee. Jerry judy i guess we can call this good news about well maybe four to six weeks. Looks like the minimum for judy thought. Six days well vic fangio said the wide receiver snaps would be divided up between three players instead of four. And those three are sutton tim. Hatcher can caja handler. And next i think you want to look at yeah. David is very high on him On the waiver wire anyway. The next two games are jacksonville in the jets. Antonio gibson was limited in you know quote unquote practice. They got the thursday game. So you get the monday practice. Report shoulder injury. He did what i saw when he walked off in the game. He pointed at shoulder. I was like no no no no no but he came back and finish the game. So i'm gonna keep an eye on zakar. We'll keep an eye on his hamstring. Be able to play. Came back in the game has hamstring jamison. Crowder could play this week against new england tire. Williams that concussion protocol. I go that receiving core. Did he didn't make your waiver. Wire call did uh no he did. Not but i was looking at doing rankings for this week. It's like nah. None of these guys cracked the top forty eight by by far. Probably not you know. Many of them in the top fifty would be the closest. Yeah i think he. He led the receivers at least in targets. But that doesn't mean he will this week. I think he knows catching the ball. They're kudos to heath with his running back all. Yeah but that's such an employee. No you're right absolutely But looking at that game. And i got i know not. Everybody listens to the monday show. Because it comes out like three o'clock eastern and it's it's just different but you know i. I didn't realize it at the time. But they pulled all their star pulled a lot of their starters on defense francisco. And that's when jared goff and the rest of the offense went went nuts. They did it again. It was like a preseason game. It did it against a lot of backups. Keep that in mind now. Swift had the screen pass for a touchdown. But look at jared goff's first half it was like fifteen of twenty for around seventy yards anyway. Zack barnes back for the cowboys. But randy gregory one of their pass rushers. He's on the reserve cova. This and also allow collins right tackle. He's out for five games zack. Martin might actually play right tackle for them. Michael gallup is out three to five weeks with the calf strain. You're gonna see cedrick wilson as the number three wide receiver without gallup and obviously a big boost for.

Three four fantasy points cooper cup twenty three point eight van jefferson sixteen david montgomery. Let's talk about david. Montgomery eighteen point eight points. And you know what this was against a defense. You know what i think. David montgomery is legit. And you know what he's going to continue to produce this team however the bears o line is not good. Andy dolan twenty. Seven to thirty eight towards six yards one interception no touchdowns justin fields at a rushing touchdown in this game. I mean this guy should be playing right now. I destroying watson thing was going to happen. I thought that justin fields going to get put in at some point and the bears just never went to him because this game was close at one point and then of course you know the bears defense which is not good It is not the same defense that in once was so i think you have. The bears. Defense may be dropped them because they blew a lot of coverages that touchdown to cooper cup. There was nobody in the area. Fifty six yard touchdown for matthew stafford. There was nobody around. And i think the bears defense really just amin. Maybe you've justin feels put in that a light a fire under them. But i think as a right now in know probably look for other options and then you look at the receivers stats. I mean really. Nobody impressed marquees. Goodwin had the most receiving yards at anybody Coal comment was a guy that was targeted a lot. So i think if you're desperate at the tight end spot. Maybe he somebody that you potentially want to pick up jimmy. Graham really didn't do anything in this game so i think dalton targeting him more combat. I think that's an encouraging sign. If you have commit allen robinson really didn't do anything mooney to do anything. Nobody really did anything outside of david. Montgomery he was a top performer. And matthew stafford twenty twenty six three hundred twenty one yards and three touchdowns pex solid performance. Definitely guy that's much. start every week. Daryl henderson sixteen. Russia seventy yards and a touchdown sony. Michelle night one. Rushing attempt darrow henderson. Right now's lead running back for this team so if you have him he's a must start every week until he struggles guy. That's a hot waiver. Wire pickup i think. Van jefferson. i don't think he was drafted that much in a lot of legal lease available. Definitely a guy that you could pick up and start because You know he did only have two receptions but he had that big touchdown in the beginning of sixty seven yards and stafford zavarei him. I guess i have a connection. Robber woods had one touchdown in this game really didn't do much but i expect him to pick it up. Tyler higby was targeted a decent amount. And i think that that will continue. I think he's going to be a top fantasy tight on this share. I do believe that it could be a top ten tight end fantasy so overall i was really impressed with how the rams played and i think you know stafford is gonna continue to play really well and you know what now. He's got the talent around him in offensive line. Staffers going to be a top fantasy. Qb this year he. He's playing like that with the weapons that he has an talked about it a lot and now he's got the supporting cast he's gonna be he's going to be good. This year is going up against the colts and a did not play. Well against russell wilson. That defense i think stafford's going to have a field day next week Against the colts defense. But we'll just have to wayne see with that. But i was really impressed with stafford and then the bears go up against the bengals. I mean i think montgomery will continue to do well. It's a bad defense. And i think you know the will do better. I think robinson will allen rampton with a better game against the bengals next week but bears. Offense is just not that good. And i think they gotta put justin fields in sooner rather than later. But yeah that's That's my thoughts on the second half games for sunday so with that. We're going to take another quick break when we come back we'll talk about my fantasy teams and how they performed in week one and what. It looks like going into the monday night. Matchup so stick around. We'll be right back here on the gmc. Fantasy football podcast. Tired of searching.

"Here on the gs mc fantasy football podcast for the second segment of today's show. We're gonna now recap the four o'clock games and the sunday night football game so these games i think we kind of crammed in every single game towards the end because there were a lot of games to talk about so i don't think we're going to have to worry about that as much when we're talking about the four o'clock games in the sunday night game and obviously we do the monday night preview at the end of the show Dedicate a whole segment to that. So let's get right into the four o'clock game so let's start off with the patriots and the dolphin so to a tunga vilo whip honestly didn't play that bad. Two hundred two yards one touchdown one interception and he finished with sixteen point. One eight points jalen waddled sixteen point one miles gaskin twelve point six and then on the other side nelson galore eighteen point two mac jones fifteen point two four and james white twelve point one so the dolphins i mean they really did not play that bad offensively in this game. Wada was obviously their best player. Indefinitely is going to be a how waiver wire pickup if he is available to you way he played and this is a good patriots. Defense and waddled definitely balled out in this game and devante. Parker also had a decent game for receptions. Eighty one yards mile- miles gaskin was involved in the passing game as well mike. Sickie did absolutely nothing. And honestly that's no surprise to me. This guy is such an inconsistent fantasy tied and. I don't think he's the guy that you should start in your lineup. You know unless you're super desperate. This guy is so boomer. Boston tight end. And maybe it's because i'm better because of what. He did last year to me where he had goose egg in one game. Against the jets. The guy is so inconsistent. And he's a guy that. I don't think you should starring your lineup every single week. I really don't but to definitely showed you. Something was more confident. Also at a rushing touchdown in this game he was more confident in this game. And i think that is something that a lot of people should keep in mind moving forward because against the patriots with the full capacity stadium. Really thought to was gonna falter and he was not going to have a good game and he did pretty well. I mean he didn't light up the scoreboard but he played good enough. And you know what i think. He's definitely a guy that you know can be a reliable backup on your team because you know what they have a lot of weapons and this is with our fuller willful or not playing this game because he still you know suspended and he's only gonna only gonna miss the game against the patriots now he's gonna play the rest of the year and obviously he is injury prone. So that's something to worry about. But you know what they got him. They got devante. Parker is shaky and waddell and gaskin. I mean they got they got some weapons there and it's going to be hard for two and not to succeed but played a pretty good game and you know what i expect him moving forward to continue to develop and play even better than that hopefully so now you look at the patriots i mack. Jones did pretty well. Twenty nine to thirty nine. Two hundred eighty one yards and a touchdown damian harris on the ground twenty rushes for hundred yards. James white four for twelve and johnny rauch brand bold stevenson. They rushed to but stevenson really. Didn't play roka's. He had a fumble early on. And then damian. Harris patriots are driving to go ahead and damian harris fumbles and that that was the game for the patriots and then receiving wise james white six receptions forty nine yards nelson galore by reception seventy two yards and the touchdown definitely a guy that can be flex option. Mack jones is targeting him a lot and he was making plays. Jacoby myers making plays john who was making plays. Aren't there. henrietta. Couple of receptions kendrick born really didn't do much but the one reception he had. It was a nice little play that he had their damian. Harris was involved a little bit in the passing game. Stevenson had a reception. I think moving forward Like i said i think nelson adler can be a flex option Again depending on the match up but you know he was getting targeted a decent amount. And i definitely think moving forward. He's probably the number one wide receiver for the patriots. Damian harris i think is going to be a guy that is going to get the bulk of the carries. Now i know. He fumbled at the end. But i think he is the best running back on this team. And james white is only going to be using the passing game. You had stevenson. Who fumbled and that's going to happen during the game if guy fumbles he's to get taken out and you know another guy's gonna get more opportunities i don't think. Jj tailored did nothing today. So think it's really going to be damian harris moving forward. And if that's the case. I mean i'm expecting him to have monster games. Now i'll go into my running back situation a little bit later. But i did end up. Starting damian harris over the andrea swift today and i definitely regretted that Which i will get into. I will go into more depth with that. But i think aiming harasses a guy that you know can be a good flex option can be a solid rb to but you know at times definitely struggled to run the football and you know got a touchdown called back which you know really hurt his production in that game. But you know what i think. He was pretty overall outside of the fumble. And i think moving forward. He'll be good for your team if you haven't as an rb two or if you put him as flex option i think you'll be productive at so before we get to the best game of the four o'clock games. Let's get through the bad ones. So let's start off with the giants. So top performers. For the broncos twenty point a fantasy points for the bra of sorry for melvin gordon twenty point four six for teddy bridgewater temperature. Thirteen point nine. On the other side of the giants. Twenty four point three points for sterling shepherd had a really great game daniel jones twenty one point three eight fancy points decent performance and then kenny golladay ten point four. The broncos won this game twenty seven. Thirteen giants did not play well in this game. Offensively saquon barkley awful ten rushes for twenty six yards and then is definitely something to be very concerned about moving forward if you have barclay on your team. This is a guy that i did not want to touch any my fantasy leagues. I do have him in one. But it was a four man league. And i have a ton of running backs. Jonathan taylor aaron jones and in cook. So i don't need to start saquon okay but if you have saquon on your team you should be very concerned because this giants offensive line is not good and saquon. I just he did nothing. He did nothing in this game..

"Terrence marshall could be high waiver wire pickup as well if he is available to you so you know overall i was impressed with what zach wilson. Sam darnold. Did those guys can be waiver wire pickups again if you're desperate at quarterback so let's get into the steelers and the bills so top performance from that game deontay johnson. Fourteen point six steelers defense. Thirteen ben rothlisberger. Twelve point zero two on the other side josh allen seventeen point to digs fifteen point nine cole. Beasley fourteen yet. The steelers played like garbage in the first half but in the second half they played a much better game. The bills are one dimensional anything. That's something that should worry a lot of people when it comes to the bills is if you have josh allen. And they're going up against good defense. That's going to be a problem because the bills are one. Dimensional and defenses will exploit that and the steelers definitely exploited that today and they played a much better game than they did late in the season. Which i expected because the sewage were banged up. They weren't playing well and the bills exploited and they won that game. This is a september game. The steelers were ready to play this game. They were healthy and they yes. Yesterday played terrible first half but they played a lot better in the second half. And you know what i think ben rothlisberger if the steelers can just throw the ball deep in stop with these wide receiver screens and all that and just go work down the middle of the field and throw it from silent to sideline and stuff like that. They could be a decent. He could be a decent fantasy quarterback again this year because he has the weapons for it. It's just you know. He struggles at times but again. I don't really think you should worry about like the production of josh allen and digs because they will play very well in a lot of games and i think this was just one of those games where they were playing against the healthy steelers defense. Which is one of the top defenses in the league and they got exposed and i definitely do think they'll have more favorable matchups during the year. I think they will do very well against miami next week. So let's get into this game. Really quick the texans and the jaguars. The texans went thirty seven. Twenty one tyrod taylor. Twenty one of thirty three two hundred ninety one yards two touchdowns. Mark ingram handed touchdown philip lindsay at a dutch down. Danny dole out a touchdown. David johnson touchdown. What is this twenty sixteen. I still don't think you should pick anybody. But you know what tyrod taylor played really well. Jaguars defense is not that good. And you definitely saw that today. Brandin cooks was really good. So you know what if they got a strong connection. Then you don't want that's a guy that you want to start you know if need a wide receiver to start. I mean brandin cooks tyrod taylor on the other side. Trevor lawrence at nineteen point zero eight fancy points. He had three touchdowns three picks their injured. Thirty two passing yards running attack was really non existent and that's because they were down big. Dj charcoal a good game. Marvin jones had a good game. They're tight end manhertz. He had a touchdown. So you know. The receivers did produce Chenault seven of Some researchers for fifty yards to the receivers produce in this game. But you know it's just it was a it was not a good game for the jaguars i think again. It's only one game. But the fact that trevor lawrence struggle against his bad defense. I mean. that's a. That's a huge problem going forward but we'll see what happens down the line. Texans play the ounce next week and then the edwards play the broncos so it doesn't get an easier for trevor lawrence and then you got the seahawks in the colts. I mean that was just a great game for russell wilson. He was a top performer today. Two hundred fifty four yards passing four touchdowns to tyler. Lock at one to metcalf gerald everett. Gerald everett is gonna be a weapon for this team so if he's on the waiver wire for your league. I think you should pick them up if you're desperate at tight end hurlock and maquette balled out Winston play that bed. Two hundred fifty one yards two touchdowns and they were both to zach paskal But the offensive line. I think was the struggle for the colts I'm a little bit worried about the colds. Defense moving forward because that's secondary did not play well against the seahawks so i'm worried about them now going up against the rams next week that is going to be a tough match for them. So then finally. Let's get into the bengals and the vikings so. I thought the vikings defense is going to be really good and they were not good today. Kirk cousins Fifty one yards two touchdowns. Dow and cookout a touchdown. Phelan had two touchdown. So those are your top performers today. And then on the bengals side. Joe borough two hundred sixty one yards two touchdowns joe mixing twenty-nine russia's one hundred twenty seven yards and a touchdown again to him when i talk about my fantasy teams in the stupid things that i did there to march. As five hundred one yards. And a touchdown t higgins four receptors. Fifty yards and a touchdown and next week. Biking's go up against the cardinals which i don't think it's going to be an easy match. And the bengals. They go up against the the bears. And i think that's a fair will match up so fair will match up next week for the bengals and then for the vikings. That's going to be tough for them because of how the cardinals played today. But yeah that's basically rundown of all the one o'clock games so with that we're going to take a quick break when we come back we're going to talk about the four o'clock games in the sunday night game and basically do the same thing on i just in this segment but.

"He is going to eclipse his fantasy. Totals from last year. So let's get into the wide receivers for the bears. So i up. You got allen robinson. Alan robinson last year productive season. One hundred two receptions on one hundred fifty one targets twelve hundred fifty receiving yards and six touchdowns which led to a two hundred eleven point nine total fantasy points last year and i definitely do think that you know if he stays healthy and continues to be the consistent wide receiver that he is. He's going to have another good season. And you know. I think it's going to be a little bit frustrating in the beginning because you are gonna have some you know switch at the quarterback position at some point but i think he could still do well. With andy dalton. I think he will do well with whoever ends up. Starting for this team Later on in the season. But i think it's gonna be a little bit frustrating for some fantasy managers if the production is in what it has to be when it comes to him. If andy john is not playing well so i do think that him now Him and justin fields can definitely work. It's just in the early stages of the season. It's going to be andy dalton. And like i said i think between weeks three and four. I think that's when we'll expect justin fields to take the field. I said field twice but whatever Justin feels to take the field. Yeah so two hundred eleven point nine fantasy points. I mean this one's a tough one. I'm going to say that he is. I think he's going to be around that maybe a little bit below. I'm gonna say that. Because i do think that darnell mooney is gonna take a big step forward. And i think he's going to be more of an impact player this season. And i think that will take away. Some of the targets and receptions away from alan robinson's to say he's going to be slightly below that i think he will have another good season. And i think the touchdown totals from last year. I think that'll be around the same as well. So that's my thoughts on alan robinson. So let's get into some of the other receivers on this team. So let's go to darnell mooney so last year darnold mooney. Sixty one receptions ninety eight targets six hundred thirty one receiving yards and four touchdowns which led to him having a hundred twenty one point six fantasy points and right now he's dealing with a back issue practicing limited capacity on thursday. So yeah you still kinda questionable for week one. But i do think that he will eclipse fantasy. Totals from last year. I think he's going to be more of an impact player in this offense. And i definitely think that once justin fields takes the field saying fields twice again I think that they are going to develop a nice connection. And i think that mooney is going to become more of an impact player in this offense and i think he'll get over four touchdowns not by a lot. I think maybe you'll get like five or six somewhere around there and yeah he's going to be the number two wide receiver for the bears and now the anthony miller is gone. This opens up more opportunities for him in that regard as well so then moving onto another receiver on this team. You got shot. Perriman last year thirty receptions sixty targets five hundred five yards three touchdowns that which led to an eighty four point one fantasy total performance for last year. I mean i think he probably gets around those numbers again because again. He's probably going to be the number three wide receiver. Now obvious even injury does happen. He'll he'll play more of a role on this team. But i think between allen robinson mooney you got to rico and coming back running the football david. Montgomery you expect the tight end to take a big step forward like whole combat. I think he's going to be around his fantasy totals from a year ago. So that's what i have to say for bershad perriman. Then you also have markey's good went on. The team did not play last year so if he does play he'll be over his fantasy total so never mind with him. So let's go to the tight ends now. So you got coal combat last year forty eight fantasy points. Twenty eight receptions forty four targets two hundred forty three receiving yards two touchdowns i definitely think he will eclipse his fantasy. Totals as a young tight end that i think could be poised to have somewhat of a breakout season for the bears. Obviously jimmy graham is still there. I thought jimmy. Grandma's gonna retire after the playoff game last year against the saints. When he scored the touchdown had that one handed grab and then just walked immediately into the locker room afterwards. But he's still on the team. So i think that does affect coke a little bit and he returned to practice wednesday. He had hamstring injury. But i guess that's not too concerning. I think he is going to eclipses. Fancy told us from last year he's gonna play more prominent role in the offense as well. So then let's talk about jimmy. Graham last year. Jimmy graham had one hundred eighteen point. Six fantasy points fifty receptions seventy six targets four hundred fifty six yards and eight touchdowns. I think he's going to be below his fantasy totals from a year ago. I believe that. I feel like coal. Combat is gonna kind of take over and take away those targets away from jimmy graham. I think he's going to play a more prominent role on the bears. So i think jimmy graham though he will still be used in the red zone decent amount and i think that's what will make him. You know somewhat of a decent fantasy option. If you know if you're struggling to find a tight end. I do believe that. Coal combat is going to take targets away from him. Be the number one tight end. Jimmy grams production is going to go down as opposed to what it was a year ago. So i'm gonna say he's going to be lower than his fantasy totals from ago so now. Let's get into the bears. Defensive bears defense had eighty two fantasy points from a year ago. Three hundred fifty eight points allowed. Ten interceptions eight fumble recoveries in two touchdowns. I mean it's kinda hard to predict you know with that those kind of numbers. I mean when you look at like we talked about the lions on one of the previous shows they negative for they're going to be above that they're going to be above that the bears. I mean i. I mean i you know what i'm gonna say. They're going to be below. Because i do think that there's still kind of you know. They're not the defense that they were back in two thousand eighteen. I'm not going to say it's they're going to be reduced by a lot. But i do think that it's not going to. They're going to have another down year on defense. Now i mean they still got playmakers. They still got roquan smith. Eddie jackson they still got khalil. Mack akeem hex. But i just think that this defense is. It's still not what it once was back in two thousand eighteen and and i just think that you know they're going to give up more points. There's gonna be a few more cracks in this defense. And i think teams are going to be able to exploit that. I don't know i. I just think that you know the bears. They're going to be a defense that depending on the match up. You're gonna wanna start him and you know what maybe if justin fields comes in and provides a spark. This defense plays better. Because we've seen that happen. You know we look at the forty niners from a couple years ago in two thousand seventeen. They were awful. And then jimmy garoppolo came in and they won five straight. The defense played better so that could be something that the bears need they need to provide. The news sparked to You know make them play better and just feels could be the guy that provides that because you know what they've been dealing with playing with mitchell trubisky and nick foles now. They might actually have a quarterback that you know can galvanize them get them energized and go get them to go out there and play better and you know i think because of that their defense will be. It's going to be awful. Of course. But i don't think it's a defense that you would take as high. Were starred as much as you would back in two thousand eighteen when they were really really good. So that's my thought on the bears defense. I think they're going to be slightly below their fantasy totals from a year ago. So moving onto their kicker. You got cairo santos last year. One hundred thirty six fantasy points thirty of thirty two when it came to field goal attempts..

"Does well against i don't know that's just me. I don't want to get off on a on a tangent and once we get to the week four match ups. I'll talk about that once. We get to that point but yeah. That's my thoughts on the vikings defense. I think they're going to be an improved unit. They got a bunch of guys coming back from kovin injuries. They are going to be a better defense. Because of that. And i think that they can be a top twelve top fifteen defense so then. Finally you got the kicker for the vikings you got greg. joseph didn't have any stats from last year. And he's going to be their starting kicker so obviously if he's starting kicker he's going to get over zero points so those are the players for the minnesota vikings and you know. This is a team that i do expect to make the playoffs. I really do. And you know when i talk about it on my other. Show my radio show which you definitely would should listen to post it on my youtube channel that i have. It's basically just my name. If you go to youtube be typing. Kenneth grew and felder. You'll see my youtube account. And i'll have all my radio shows from school up there so you know that when we talk about. Who's gonna make the playoffs looking at the schedule and stuff. I you know. It's kind of tough because you know the nfc is loaded. And i've said the cardinals. I think can make the playoffs. The forty niners the seahawks. The rams the vikings but there's only three wildcard spot. So i really got to think about who i one actually put in the playoffs and i definitely think the vikings probably make it over the cardinals just because they got a better defense. They have a better offense. In my opinion. I think tyler is better than kirk. Cousins but i just think that overall the vikings are a better team than the cardinals and the vikings have a lot of players that you wanna get. You wanna get justin. Jefferson wanna get adam appeal and you wanna get and cook. Those are the three main guys. Kirk cousins is a solid fantasy quarterback. He does put up solid fantasy numbers. And you know. I'm not the biggest kirk cousins supporter because well mainly because he you know. I don't like him for what happened. Twenty fifteen for me and my fancy championship. So i talked about this a long time ago. I one of the first shows that i did. But i had kirk cousins on my team and not think he was playing because washington already clinched the division so i sacked cousins. I started brock osweiler and what ended up happening was brock. Osweiler got bench for peyton manning. Because i was the final game of the regular season and then kirk cousins ended up playing had like three touchdowns over three hundred yards and he had like thirty four thirty some points and if i would have played him i probably would've won and i would have repeated in the league so yeah that was very frustrating and also another thing is kirk cousins in big games does not have a good track record and i would always say he does good when it's not you know crunch time it's not a big situation when it is a big situation. That's when he falters. And we've definitely seen that but you know what the guy went out and you wanna play off game so i can't really complain about dad. He finally won a monday night football. So got those things off of his back. Which is good. But i still don't trust him in big situations however i do when it comes to fantasy. He'll put up solid numbers for you. The vikings have a good enough team as long as alvin. Cook is healthy. Because he's also another guy. Like when i was talking about deck and baker feel like without dalvin cook. Kirk cousins is a different player. And i saw that a couple of times back in twenty nineteen when the packers won the division. The vikings were playing them. It was like week sixteen. I believe and they didn't have alvin cook that you had. Actually they had mike. Boone was playing running back. So i think madison got her to and the vikings offense just did not look good at all. So that's something to keep an eye on and fantasy of dalvand cook gets hurt. You definitely gotta think about it a little bit on whether or not you wanna start kirk cousins. Because he is definitely a different quarterback when his running game is not productive. But i just think you know kirk. Cousins is a guy solid fantasy quarterback the receivers the onen jefferson dalvin. Cook those are like the shore. You know guys that you want to draft the defense. I think you could also throw them in that category as well because all the stuff that i talked about. They're getting guys back from injuries. Michael pierce a guy that they got from the ravens. He opted out because the covert last year. Now he's coming back and you bring in sheldon richardson as well. The defense overall is going to be better defense. That i do have one of my teams and i expect them to do well. They're gonna give teams problems and now the crowds are back. That defense is gonna feed off the crowd. And it's i think minnesota's one of the toughest places to play in. And you know they definitely missed having fans last year. I mean watching that week. One game packers vikings. That was such a weird game to watch when no crowd and the packers you know. They won that game. I feel like with the crowd. It might have been a little bit different. But we're gonna see what happens in when the vikings have home games because there's gonna be capacity across the board when when talking about the nfl having their attendance being back to how it should be fans in the stands and field advantage plays a role it really does. Homefield advantage is huge in the playoffs. When it comes to the nfl and you know. The vikings definitely missed having their fans but overall the vikings you know we talked about all their players whether or not they will be around the same or be below their fantasy totals. I'm mostly said they'd be below but that doesn't necessarily mean that's a bad thing. I think it's just because everybody really had good seasons. I think their those players are going to probably see a little bit of a dip from their fantasy totals from a year ago and again. It's not a bad thing. it's just. That's just how i see it. And i think all those guys the main guys you know the two receivers coke in kirk cousins. Those are the main guys. you're gonna wanna draft. I don't necessarily think that going after herndon or conkland tight ends is a bad thing. I think that those guys can may be provide death for your teams depending on. How big your league is. How big your benches because i think they will see some target specifically in the red zone. I think that's where they're going to be most valuables in the red zone because obviously you got. Jackson jefferson cooking theline. Who are going to be moving the chains and doing all that guys like herndon and konkan. I think will be used more in the red zone. But that's just me. I think really what's going to drive. This team is of course. Jefferson thelander dalvand cook. That's really what is going to drive this offense and with that that concludes another installment of the over under segment with the players from the minnesota. Vikings i'll do the bears next and with that we will take our second break of the show when we come back. We'll talk about the one o'clock games of week. One and i'll go through each one and talk about the favorable unfavorable matchups from each matchup and talk about who should start. Who should said all that. Good stuff so stick around. "Back here on the gsm see fantasy football podcast for the second segment of today's show. We're gonna do the over under sigua and talk about the players on the minnesota vikings and talk about whether or not i think they will eclipse their fantasy. Totals from last year. Be around the same numbers or be below their fantasy totals. So let's get right into that so starting off with the quarterback position of the vikings. You got kirk. Cousins kirk cousins last year had a really good season. Statistically forty two hundred yards passing thirty five touchdowns thirteen interceptions and his fantasy. Totals is fantasy numbers finished at three hundred six point two so i think he's going to be below those numbers this year. I think it's going to be hard to replicate that because these numbers are very high. I don't think he's gonna get thirty five touchdowns this year. I think he can throw close to thirty. I don't think he's going to replicate what he did. The last year. When it comes to his touchdown passes. I think he could get close to four thousand yards while he got forty two hundred forty two hundred sixty five last year. He could probably close to that again. But i think it'd be a little bit below that interceptions i feel like will be about the same. Fumbles maybe try to work on that. But overall numbers i think will still be solid this year i think however they will be below his fancy totals from last year so i do think he'll be under that three hundred six point to point total so moving onto the running back position. You got dalvin cook last year. On three hundred twelve rushing attempts he rushed for fifteen hundred. Fifty seven rushing yards. He had sixteen rushing touchdowns. He finished with three hundred. Fifteen point. Eight fancy points. This is going on the. Espn numbers half pr. I think he is going to get below that. I still think he will have a solid season. He's going to be for the most part. The second running back taken off the board and a lot of drafts. And i do think that that will continue but i definitely do think this is going to be a point total. That is going to be hard to match. And i'm thinking to say that he's gonna be under that. Also dalvin cook does tend to miss a game or two during the year and i have a feeling that that's going to happen again this year and it's just based on the position he plays so i'm going to say that he is going to have great season and i think a lot of people would agree with that but i do think he's going to blow his fancy totals. I do think that it's almost a guarantee that he's going to miss at least one or two games during the year. So that's my thoughts on alvin cook. Then we could talk about their other running back. alexander madison. Their backup to alvin cook last year. On ninety six attempts he rushed for four hundred thirty four yards and two touchdowns eight point four fantasy points. I definitely think that that's probably around the total that he'll get maybe a little bit above that if he sees an increase in playing time. I do think that you know. Overall the vikings are going to be a better team this year. And i think they are going to. You know maybe wanna give alvin cook a little bit more of a break. In between if he's you know going off because obviously you wanna keep them fresh and you don't want him to get injured like i just said that he could be guaranteed to miss a game due to injury. So you know you have alexander. Madison run a little bit more than he has keeped. Alvin cook fresh. So i'm gonna say he's going to be around his fantasy totals. I think he'd get more than two touchdowns this year. However rameses going be around that fantasy total eighty point four maybe a little bit above maybe a little bit below but i would say around that total that he had last year will probably get that this year. Espn has a projected at one hundred. Four point six so they're probably anticipating that either cook gonna get hurt or we're going to see an increase playing time for alexander madison. We'll just have to wait and see on that. So that's my thoughts on the running backs for the vikings so now moving onto the receivers of the vikings. I will talk about justin jefferson. He's coming off a season that you know. It was really good for him as a rookie last year looking at his statistics from last year. Eighty eight receptions on one hundred twenty five targets fourteen hundred yards exactly seven touchdowns finished with two hundred thirty point. Two fantasy points. I think is probably going to be under that this year slightly. I still think he's gonna be great. He's going to be one of the top wide receivers taken off the board. I think he's going to be a top ten top twelve fantasy wide receiver. But i do think he's going to be slightly under the fancy totals that he had from year ago. But i still think he's going to be really productive gonna be a solid wide receiver one for your team and yeah definitely a guy that you should be looking for. In targeting in your drafts. Expect him to have another great season so then moving on to another receiver on the vikings. You have adam feeling last year. Seventy four receptions one hundred targets nine hundred twenty five receiving yards and fourteen touchdowns and he finished a two hundred seventeen fantasy points. I definitely think that fourteen touchdowns very high for him last year. So i'm definitely going to expect that you're going to see a reduction in that. I don't think he's gonna match fourteen touchdowns like he did a year ago. I do think that he'll still get a decent amount. But i don't think fourteen is realistic this year. I still think he'll be a productive receiver. Definitely a guy that kinda sees his fantasy value diminish a little bit from years past now with the emergence of justin jefferson. You know definitely is starting to get a little bit older. But i think he's still a productive fantasy wide receiver. I don't know why everyone is just not as high on deal. And as they have been i guess. Yeah because he's getting older because he's dealt with injuries and justin jefferson. Looks like he's going to take over and take a lot of targets away from deal in which you know that happened last year. And it's going to happen this year but i guess people just aren't high on dealing as they have been and i'm a little confused by it. It's just i. It's very weird that like everyone's just so turned off by feeling. I mean i just named reasons. Why but it's just kind of weird. Why you know feeling is dropping like so dramatically because now when you look at the vikings offense they don't have a number three wide receiver. I mean they did bring in keelan cold but how much is or sorry. I've been saying keelan coal. They brought in dede westbrook. Now that i'm looking at this robinson keelan coal like this entire time. I think he and kohl's on the jets so i haven't seen cold is entire time and actually dede westbrook. That's their number three wide receiver. Don't think he's really going to factor in taking targets away from the jefferson. He does add another weapon to the offense. But i really don't think he's going to cause problems for justin jefferson worth so going back to. I think it will be under fourteen touchdowns. I think he's gonna be slightly under his fantasy towards from last year but i still think he's going to be productive wide receiver. I think he could still be a solid wide receiver to for your teams or if not that definitely affleck's option so that's my thoughts on adam feeling so let's go to dede westbrook last year one reception on one target for four yards and he finished with negative. One point one fantasy points. I think he's going to get above that and if he does play of course we just play above that negative one point one. Is you know that you could definitely beat that so yet. Don't really have to go into more detail on that. I was gonna talk about chad baby. But he's on. I r so i'm guessing you know he's not really going to have an impact on the team early on and really isn't going to have an impact in fantasy because he's going to be or would be the number four wide receiver so i'm not going to talk about that. I'll just just stop talking about the wide receivers for the vikings so earth smith. Junior gonna be out. The entire season is really unfortunate because this was a guy that was very high on. I thought he was going to have a great season. Because the vikings like i talked about really didn't have a number three wide receiver. They bring in dede westbrook. But even if the even with irv smith junior and dede westbrook on the field the same time i think kirk cousins with target irv smith junior lot more and also earth smith. Junior was a guy that they used a lot and targeted a lot in the red zone. So that's definitely going to be something. That is going to be missed for this. Vikings offense and it's just a reminder of how injuries are just a part of the game Stinks injuries stink..

"Huge difference between the previous round. Let's let's again. Remind people with the previous round is that you don't have as much competition for targets with those wide receivers right. You have lock it. And i'm just looking on our was in there was in their lockett. Godwin dj more. Yeah right so you still starting to get into that range. But but i wouldn't surprise me at all if three of the wide receivers in round six finished ahead of three of the wide receivers in round five. You know you tell me that t- higgins was better than dj more. Who's who's going to be surprised by that. So you know what i'm going to try and do i'm going to try and trade. My fourth in seventh round picks for fifth sixth round pick. And i can skip the question marks around in the guy with two fourth get two players. Yeah five and six five and six are still really. Wanna be right. I wanna get those players. Or i'll reach a little bit in round four if i can't trade the pick our taste barely had a big play in practice. But i okay my my general point though since i went on a little bit of a ramble. Is that when you're drafting. It's tempting to think about your week one lineup but just remember. You're playing the long game here. And the fact that it's a seventeen game season now eighteen hundred eighteen weeks. Seventeen fantasies actually helps a little bit. You know by yourself a little bit of time to take a guy who's got a little bit upside but it might take a few weeks or even more to see it happen. You will find as we go through these lists that there are players who you can draft later that can be useful in week one and then you might be cutting the bye week four. Okay so let's probably go a little faster so we can hit a lot around. We are now into what round seven him getting. Good views round seven. Kenny golladay leonard fournette..

NFL Preseason: Indianapolis Colts' Jacob Eason Outshines Sam Ehlinger Win Over Carolina Panthers
"The final. Preseason game of this weekend was in indianapolis. The colts they beat the panthers twenty one to eighteen one more. Exciting games of the entire sleet we had. Pj walker formerly of the xfl re looked really good for the carolina. Panthers i mean really good. He was ten twenty. One hundred. Sixty one yards touched out a really explosive athlete. That was moving very fast. He can throw on. The run was ripping throws up the sidelines and again a great backup who could see a lot of time. Depending on what. Sam darnold does but good backup to have cuba hubbard. He'd a huge run after escaping from the pile. He can be a really nice complement to christian. Mccaffrey for carolina. If he does what he did at oklahoma state you tears marsal marshalls kind of show a little bit of what he can do. The y rec- route. Lsu who some thought. He would be a first round pick but he was second round. Pick he had three receptions for eighty yards Takeaway from this game as jacob and he looked pretty solid and the colts are going with jacob and sam etlinger two quarterbacks with a lot of experience but easing looks like the more superior quarterback he he was fifteen to twenty one hundred eighty three yards another again. Another guy with some really impressive throws a all lot of dimes this weekend but he had some really impressive throws down the field. Sam longer was ten fifteen fifty five yards. He interception but offers a little bit more of that mobility aspect to his game. Who Will Pick Kyle Pitts in Thursday's NFL Draft?
"All right. Let's have fun here with. Kyle pits blank will select kyle pits right. I think it's the falcons. I mean friscos. Been talking about this for some time. He doesn't think that the falcons are gonna take a quarterback he thinks arthur blank is all in on on matt ryan for another year to have a new coach and the new general manager. And here's the thing like if you trade down four. And i suspect it'll be teams interested in trading up to four to get whether it's trae lance macaroni justin fields. If you're the falcons if you move down if you move down you're not getting cockpits. That's just the end the conversation because either the bengals. The dolphins entertainment five or six and presumably. You're not trading with those teams already have quarterbacks. So that's the math you're doing and if you're not getting likely to march as we saw a report on monday for peter king that maybe julio jones could be moved with which seems crazy what they need a cap space Could you turn down for. Cornerback if the falcons you could but again what gives you more value in terms of making that football team better. I think it's how pet. So if i'm the falcons and i'm not taking justin feels matteo's trae lands i'm sampling. Taking cup pits. Janssen the blank blank. We'll take pets. I think it's it's atlanta. But i also be surprised if the team traded up with the falcons maybe even take pits like ryan saying you know the train up to the quarterback but you know teams fall in love your dallas. You know thousand the four but you know if a team really loves him that much and it's hard not to love that much than you could see. Maybe a team being overly aggressive. I think it was on On the nfl network this morning on good morning football there was a segment that they do with the giants traded up. You know. I don't know who is doing the job. Esau just a screen grab of it on twitter but the giants gave their first or second ebony ingram and something else to move up to four to get pits and it was you know something that on paper make some sense but you know. Obviously something is not likely to happen but still i would say it's four is where he goes. But the falcons do make some sense especially they decided we want from me jonesing. Another playmaker

"He's smart. he's a good moving tight end. Should replace jared cook pretty seamlessly in that offense. And if jameis winston's the quarterback as we've been talking about for the last six years with james he has a tendency to lean on his tight ends. The offense in new orleans has consistently leaned on. Its tight ends. I think trump could be very very interesting fantasy sleeper. I'm trying to look up the stat. That i had updated so now i think it's four years in a row just going back to the jail. Jamaal williams sting for years in a row that a running back has been second on the team in targets when matt leflore has been the head coach or the offensive coordinator. Both years the packer. You can find that. It's in that ringer. Yeah four years in a row. Todd gurley dion lewis. Aaron jones aaron jones none of them like a ton of time well gaga eight hundred fifty catches. Yeah so that so. Keep that in mind running always involved in the passing game when matt lafleur has been the coordinator or the head coach the running backs of score. They scored sixteen total touchdowns in twenty twenty. Four seven win. Aaron rodgers went beserk so it was lower than what it was in two thousand nineteen which was twenty five touchdowns i bet they end up somewhere in between and probably closer to twenty five than sixteen. Twenty twenty one. Okay last question here. Let's go back to dillon one more time so we talked about when we did the sophomore running back show. Seven running backs went in top thirty six picks in draft. We did in early january. I think he's you said dylan round. That would be just behind that. Would he jump ahead of any of those big seven. If jones were joan signs somewhere else he. I don't thinks like i really don't think there's much chance. In non p p. r. i. I think that there is a chance Like my i actually in my projections. Non-ppp have him projected four nine. Pr fantasy points than clyde. Okay my seventh. So dave jamie would you put aj dylan and a non pr league ahead of any of the other top seven running backs off more running backs He said it was hilarious. Yeah yo take dylan had antonio gibson or swift okay dobbins. No but i think there's premieres in scenario where jacksonville sign someone and then you're taking them at a robinson to yes airport yet all right so those are some of our favorite early sleepers jamie said chenault heath said moster. Dave said trautmann. We all talked about. Aj dylan Hope maybe he'll be on. Our early breakout show. Next week is really important though that you know about paramount plus all right. "Now here's some combination of adam. Dave jamie benn probably looking at the best class of rookie wide receivers now going to be sophomore wide receivers since two thousand fourteen draft class which is going to be pretty tough to beat. Odell beckham. Mike evans sammy. Watkins also davante adams allen robinson. Yeah we'll talk about them within this show. I'm very excited for this show. I love me some. You're too wide receivers. Let's talk about this group. I'm outta mazer with chris towers. Who talked to me about this group. Wide receivers yesterday on fantasy football today and five here today this morning and dave richard richards. Here and dave chris chris pumped about these receivers you. Of course they are awesome they. They've got potential to be filling up at least three spots in the top. Twelve among receivers. Fancy twenty twenty. One or. Chris only has one his top twenty four. That's interesting now. There's room new. I think i have three in my top twenty four and the reason why i said three in the top twelve is because i think everyone sees it with justin jefferson. And i think that thi higgins can get there. And i think that one more from claypool lamb. I'll even say jerry jeudy and you know. Maybe i could things go the right way for him claypool. If things go the right way for him they could potentially make it. In the top twelve to these will be receivers. That fantasy drafters go after pretty hard on draft day and because of that i think there will be other receivers. That aren't you know the shiny new second year guys or the shiny new rookies. That'll slide a little bit so there there's going to be some value created at wide receiver because of these white outs. Hey chris hey. How's fantasy baseball today going. So that's what we're promoting In terms of these running backs let me ask you. Who has the biggest chance to just fizzle out the guy that i want to use his jordan howard. But it's not really fair because he backed up his rookie year with like another top twelve finish. He just wasn't nearly as good. You just got tunnel work. But i think jordan howard probably tricked us into thinking he was some great running back and it just wasn't the case Is there a better example though a great rookie season and then really disappointing. Who's got who's got the downside. The most downside in this group the you mean the the seven running back so we talked about and there are more than seven and we'll get to them in a moment but go on. Sure i mean i think you could say that about james robinson. As having that kind of downside. I don't know that heath would mean long term. i think he's the wrist riskiest from dynasty perspective because no investment from the team and new coaching staff in year two so i would agree that like in ninety would be the one. I'm most concerned about i. I don't think like. I don't know anything about damian williams plans but i. I don't think it's really that hard. To imagine. A a split with damian williams and clyde edwards helaire where he just busts next year big time. And let's let's look at that downside if edwards helaire doesn't improve like i'm hoping and he's not given the opportunity to work in passing down situations and damon wyans is back and it would be kinda crappy the chiefs to not keep him after he set out the year because his mom had cancer. It was worried about her and he was taking care of her if they cut him after he left the team for that then. That's bad karma gross..

"I'm gonna have all the way up to ten to twelve percent on mine. So i'm basically trying to double the field at that position. What i think is interesting. Is running backs. Okay because right now leonard. Fournette has been the guy for the box. Recently and daryl williams has been the guy for the chiefs recently. But that's really because of injury at least partially one point. Remember ronald jones. It was after the chiefs game. Actually where he had a long touchdown catch not right after. I think there was a couple of weeks after they made leonard fournette inactive and they gave the keys to the car to ronald jones. So when you look at their their prices on draftkings fornet is much much more expensive than ronald jones. You know that stands out to me. I know you said for net that you're going to have that you're kind of favoring him but jones to me you know at twenty. Two hundred is really interesting. And then on the other side daryl. Williams has sort of taken over for clyde edwards. Either but we know that when clyde edwards dealer was healthy he was at least the number one running back. He wasn't having an amazing year. Wasn't getting a ton of touches. But he was way. Ahead of daryl williams. Who's the head of eleven bell. So who do you. How do you look at that going into this game. Who are the starting running back. So are the best running backs in this game so for me. I think it's pretty clearly. Leonard for that at the top is an. I also like ronald jones but a lot of that has to do with just the price of great. So i i think there are scenarios where both players and this price so the thing that talking back to your original question. No five minutes ago was the difference between this and a normal slate on normal slate late. Ronald jones having ten sporty yards in a catch cutting yards. That's terrible game. You don't want any part in this game at twenty two hundred. Maybe not such a bad thing. It's one game like they're not. Every player is not like a normal week of fantasy football. Where you're expecting a touchdown out of every single player on your roster right so his price point. We obviously what the upside is right. But like i'm okay at twenty two hundred. I'm okay with minimal work knowing that the upside is there. Ronald jones is my second favorite play. Daryl williams my third. And i don't think i'm gonna have any c. h. I may not have any at all if i do. I will certainly come in under way to the field. So i told you. I'd be basically double on leonard fournette. At the captain. I will had zero c h a captain and then when i play him. If i'm projecting him at say twelve percent owned at the flex spot. I will have sticks percent or less so i will have enough that if he does play. Well i have some piece of the pie. And i could still potentially get there but i'm not. I'm basically banking on some underperforming expectation. Well before viva got her five games. Six games into the season the first five games this was the best run defense and football tampa bay and it really wasn't close. They were giving up something like two point three yards per carry two running backs so you know you gotta you gotta wonder what kinda game these guys could have. Anyway because veto..
