So we discussed working out early. People at the gym cut from a different cloth if you're pushing it out this early breaking a sweat. If you're sweating, you're on the elliptical. 5 a.m.. You're dripping. You're out to prove something. We actually proved here on our show that they wake up really to look down on everybody else. That's what it is. That's what it is. People that back into a parking spot. Yeah, yeah. We think you're better than me? Yeah, to show you that they're better than you. They are is better than yours. Now, I have two other gym observations before we move on and talk a little sports. We've already established the gym selfie is at an all time high. People bring their protein shake, their gym bag and a ring light. Yeah, everybody's fine is one of the biggest culprits lately. Jim selfies, we're here in LA. Remember that? Yeah. Jim selfies are at a whole new level where the rhythm is the base and the base is the treble. Good one. No, seriously. Is this a full on photo shoot? Do I have to sign a release? 'cause I didn't ask to be in your photo shoot. We've established this. It's ridiculous, right? No one's looking at you. I gotta go to your gym because apparently there's so many people taking pictures. I'm assuming they're hot. There are some hot and attractive people. Again, this is LA, right? Go on. Yeah. I heard Jim across the street. He must work out. I heard the gym diagonal to us. Yeah. It's a big gym for adult entertainers. You don't say. Is that true? The 24 hour across the street? I think I'm gonna sign up right now. No, no. But I made another observation. I don't know why it bothers me, rich. I'm in the wrong I admit. So let me preface again. I'm probably in the wrong here. But it bothers me. And I've noticed it more and more. And I waited and waited and waited to bring it up because I'm like, okay, I'm noticing this. All right, now I'm noticing it more. So now I'll bring it up. It's people dancing at the gym. And it's like they're feeling themselves so hard and they're feeling it so much. In their headphones and they're doing moves. Yeah, and it puts such a look at me. I feel like a lot of the gym is a look at me nowadays. It's like everyone with their extra short shorts. They're all geared up and they're taking gym selfies and it's a big look at me. They're there to hang out. I'm there to get out. I want to maintain, but my mission at the gym is to get out as fast as I can. I'm trying to hang out and socialize and show off and none of that, right? But when I'm there, I got my music on. Like everybody else. But my music is to motivate me to push an extra set out so that I can get out as fast as I can. Other people, there is so in the zone that they're practicing their TikTok dance moves. I've noticed that more and more. But again, I think it's a big look at me. It makes you feel the same way. Why are they having so much fun? Why are they dancing at the gym? And why do I not feel the same way? It's the same feeling you have when you see that guy at the early morning workout. My big takeaway? I need to go to your gym because my gym sounds boring. You don't see enough booty shorts, not enough people dancing. I assume that people dancing taking pictures are not disgusting. Down in front guy. Hey, down in front. And by the way, I'm just trying to concert, old guy. Yeah, I'm not trying to be in anybody's business. It's hard to not notice when some dude's doing choreography in front of me. You know what I mean? It's not that I'm trying to be judgmental. It's hard to not notice when you got a ring light dancing in front of it. I don't think you're working out. Hard enough, if you are, you wouldn't notice. No, that's not it. Like I said, I'm in my zone two, but my zone is like to get in and out. They're there dancing and having fun. We're cut from a different cloth. You stopped for a burger after you leave the gym? To get in and out? Good way to finish the workout. Hey, that's my last gym observation. Based on based on what you're saying. And I'm not making that up, man. May need to go when you go because call me, call me creepo. But sometimes some fine looking people at the gym is good motivation and if I went to a gym where pot people are doing dances with their ring lights doing photo shoots, I'm fine looking at that in between sets. Instead of the fat guy on the treadmill, I rather what you're telling me. Oh, well, hey, you know, it's a different scene. Again, this is LA, just something I've noticed. I saw the best I saw the best, what would you call it? Rejection at the gym to wrap this up. This is a good one. Because we've talked about this like a dikembe tumbo? No, no, no. Like a shack in his prime, like a shack in his prime. Nice. A rejection. So spot with the ladies in the early 2000s. No. Get out away. What's your MySpace? I'll put you in my top 8. No.

Learn more at discover dot com slash redeem rewards terms apply. I'll go there right now. Back to our stupid argument about, it's not stupid. Yesterday. It makes me angry this morning, because you're a fair-weather guy. Well, depending on how you angle the question, you're going to get what you want. Like, you know how when it comes to sports, politics, anything. If you could angle numbers and stats to back up your argument, what you're saying is, you're a fair-weather fan, if you're not with your team when they lose. No, no. This isn't a, I don't root when they have a losing season. This isn't the game until it's over, bro I don't. So you can angle all you want. That's the fact. You shut it off, 'cause your team's down 5 runs. Yeah. Okay. So you could miss the turning point of a season if you do that. How about how many times did you leave a game early to beat traffic and your team came back? You're the guy that left I've done that? And what happened? And what happened? Your last two games you went to. I would never do that if I'm watching it. I didn't want to do that just in real life. I had to because I had to make it to work. Okay, wait a minute. Please explain this to me. Yes. So you send covino has a rule of not turning the game off in front of the set. Right. But he'll leave the stadium early? He left the last three years. He missed the judge walk off. He missed the Stanton. But what does this prove that you're a contradicting yourself? Not at all. No, not at all. Work is a priority. And I had to leave to get it to get the Fox Sports radio. That's the truth. I had to leave to make sure I was on the air. Hello. Otherwise, I would have stayed there. That was the one time. But the point is, and you're missing your point, and you're getting in your own way. And I'll tell you why, because guess what? The team came back and won the game. It happens. But if you shut off the game, you miss the greatest moments and why we watch sports in the first place. But Chris and Connecticut, let's go back to him. We cut him off because we had to go to break Chris. What's up? You know you have a good show when I sit here and wait for a commercial break. Okay, guys, let me finish my point. You ready? Yeah. It's the first off, cavina. If they start coming back, you're gonna find out about it. Could you checking it on your phone anyway? So no reason that you can't go watch some office reruns. Correct. Let me make my other point here. I get it. You know, Yankees, they can't buy a win right now. And I get that you're watching Ukraine that somehow they're going to win again, praying that be lucky that they're in the worst division in baseball. See, as a met fan, I can shut my game off of my teams getting beat one 'cause I know. I know we have the division. I know we got the NLE. So I'm going to shut the game off. Don't be too confident. You don't watch for the joy of the game. You watch this for some sort of bragging right. The sad time being the Yankee fan, I get it. I would never I don't trust talk Yankee fans Chris. By the way, if they beat in the World Series, it's a bed this bed look. I don't agree with Chris. You know what else takes precedence over reruns of the office? Reruns of anything. I don't care if a Seinfeld or whatever stupid show you want to watch. You know what these precedents? I gotta run, but great job. Thanks for Connecticut. A 7 7 99 on Fox. Something that's going on in real time because I enjoy the sound of baseball. Even when my team's losing has comfort food, it's there. I love it. I keep the game on because I love it. Because I don't care. What? You live a different life. No, I don't. This is Fox Sports radio. 90% of the people agree with, I can promise you you're wrong. Why? Because that one dude? No, I could promise you you're wrong because it's a 162 game schedule. This isn't I give up on my team when they're bad. Baseball's on every day. If your team, listen, we're trying to do a lot of things, right? People are working, people got kids, people got dinners. They got work events. They're going to the gym. They're doing all these things. If your team is losing, you can't pull up the app, or what's your game at the gym?

NBA Great Bill Russell Was Racist Till the End

"Bill Russell, the former NBA Hall of Famer. Now look, I imagine there are some people who are very sad to hear the news that the Boston Celtic great Bill Russell died on Sunday. Not me. Not me. I never liked the guy. And I had it on good authority and I have it on good authority that he was a racist until the end. I know what you're thinking. No, AJ, he was the one at the butt end of races. Okay, yeah, he was, but he did it right back to white people. Now aside from the rumors I heard from old sports Fridays that I used to work alongside of it newsday, which is Long Island's main newspaper and when I worked there, it was the fourth largest circulation of any newspaper in America, so it's no rinky dink paper. Major, major sports writers wrote there. I sat next to and talked to and sat around with some of the best sports writers of our time. And a couple of them told me some stories about Bill Russell that, you know, didn't paint them out to be a nice guy. Okay? They would tell me stories that said as much of what I'm telling you that he was in fact very racist.

Derek Jeter Is Intrinsic to the Story of Baseball

"Era, baseball is a story, beginning to end. You can not tell the story of a baseball that Derek Jeter's extremely meaningful contributions. He owns signature moment after a signature moment. If you're not a fan of the Yankees, I understand why you wouldn't want to watch them again. I don't want to watch David Ortiz's home runs, but Derek Jeter is intrinsic to the fabric of the game from 1995 to roughly 2012. He deserves to be celebrated. He would be and I'm gonna go one, I'm gonna go one more here. People say Jeter wouldn't be celebrating the same manner if he played in Kansas City or Milwaukee. I'm gonna go another level and say he would be much more celebrated if he'd played against the city or Milwaukee and was just as great. Do you see what they say about George Brett? He is the leader of an entire generation of fans for the entire Midwest. People think George Bret is unimpeachably a God. If they're generated play one of these small cities and won one to two World Series surrounded by good teams in these tinier baseball towns, he would be he would be the first 101 percenter Hall of Famer. He suffers from being a Yankee because people have Yankee fatigue. That's my hottest take it and I'm putting that on you. Do you agree or disagree? I agree with CCC Matthew played a half season with the brewers and he's still a legend there. Like he's gonna get a statue. Yeah. Derek Jeter, I mean, it's hilarious because now all of a sudden when people have whole definitive Hall of Fame cases and it's someone you don't like. Then we're gonna dive into the contrarian statistics. And we're gonna look at advanced defensive stats and how they weren't that great. And why that should knock him down a peg as one of the all time greats. I and that's the same people who will argue that that, you know, if you don't have enough championships, why do you deserve to be in the hall fame? It's just every argument is to satisfy the

So what's the secret to perseverance. Belief and dana confidence. I think it's partially a little bit of craziness. I think that there's probably a little bit of insanity in there where you go through some situations where people would say. Maybe now's a good time to stop and you say now. I don't think it is whether it was some of the injuries. I've gone through with my back the broken leg or transferring schools in college. Whatever it is. There's always been some people that said this the right decision is this the right thing to do and for some reason or another way. My parents raised me. When i was a kid. "I said that because it's either going to last ten years than brian. Cashman is going to move on. Or it's not gonna work and then brian cashman's going to be out so we've our next mail bag. Question is counter to what i'm about to say. But i think that the steinbrenners would eventually move on from brian cashman if he does not win a championship in the next couple of years. Yeah i think he's you know he's got the remainder of the contract and they're they're both in line there so yes kashmir cashman. I believe is signed through twenty. Twenty four and an aaron boone. His contract is up after this year. They had a one year. Option on aaron boone and that they picked up right so i'm thinking cashman i'm specifically talking about cash. I think cashman has to win a championship within the next Within the next couple of years for his when his colleagues up he's got to win it. I do think they would move on from him if he does. Not at the at that point Airborne i think is tied to brian cashman. And i don't think that at this point that they're going to make a change now he's all in on on the. That's that's my my mentality is that they are looped they're linked together one hundred percent yes. I don't think the steinbrenners are going to tell cashman. He has to move on from aaron boone but i do think eventually the steinbrenners will say we're moving on from you. Brian cashman which would be then. Moving on from aaron boone. If he was still there and they haven't won a championship a but yet they there's no news on if they're renegotiating with boone. They picked up his one year contract option. We don't know if he has not yet received a contract extension. Pass twenty twenty one. Jock peterson signed a one year. Seven million dollar deal. So i mean he's twenty eight years old he. He had a bad regular season but he came out and mashed in the playoffs at a huge home. Run he was angels remember. He was traded to images and go through. Yeah yeah so. Seven million dollars for for jock peterson. The yankees are just never going to be in on that. That's that's the problem that he's getting he got too much money The next one. From julio varas. He's a long time. I know he's been in our facebook group a ton and he's been a longtime listener of the show. I've i've talked to. Julio on twitter a bunch he says the long one so bear with me. Hey guys i don't really know if this pandemic if it's this pandemic but a lot. Oh well let me start that over. Hi guys really wanted this note. I don't really know if this pandemic has put a lot of things in perspective or is the fact that the yankees have not reached the world series in eleven years accounting. But i don't feel particularly excited about the twenty twenty one season. There are more questions than answers with the pitching staff. You're as no doubt but after him. Your most reliable pitcher seems to be montgomery kluber in her mater question. Marks tyron and garlic are very promising but one is coming back from two tommy john surgeries and the other hasn't been hasn't been a full season and severino my comeback after the second half and season hoping he'll be okay set of going after established. Reliable starters inky went for a lot of hopes. You have an analytic pitching coach. That seems clueless in game. When you need your guts and instincts the most this team has had great bullpen over the years. I guess i guess. Cash from one to copy the royals formula yet. We haven't to the world series. Catchers are also question marks you loss gary with those comments. He's talking about the comments that cashman recently made he said i know weak minded people. Don't respond well to that. To what cashman did and higgins is not the answer. Voi- is good if he can stay healthy sanford. Labor frazier hicks. Judge dan or shell. Dj are the only players. I do feel comfortable with my biggest concern. Is that the yankees are kind of going the dallas cowboys way. Kashmiri's looking more like the jerry jones in cab and as a cowboys fan. That's not good and before you laugh. Think about it. As general managers both have job. Security jones won't fire himself in the steinbrenners won't fire. Cashman both have failed to win championships. In more than decade both have kept their teams relevant despite their lack of success in the plows both built bad teams and very good teams both live in the shadows of past successes that they can't duplicate. They both underestimate the manager coaching position. Maybe it's the lockdown. But i really felt on android pessimistic dark side approach of the season of my usual. Let's go scott approach so this year. I'll do what i do when the. Nfl starts roof for my team. But i have zero expectations. Julio just seems like a frustrated cowboys fan to be look. I gotta tell you. I think you need to understand how your pessimism is affecting people in when quarantine and covert and all that stuff. It's affecting the more you need to. You need to be an example and have have this Hottest flip around i in the unit and yang things first of all the dallas cowboys and the yankees are very very different in the lower eighties. Have been in. Didn't listen to earn boone. They were this close. There were so close. I can hear jason garrett say that though but i know he's not coaching but they they did not have the same of course the prognosis. They did not have the same expectations at the yankees at the yankees have been world series competitors with the roster every single the for a while cowboys of napping that is not that. I don't think that's a good comparison but the yankees and nor do. I think it's good comparison. Jerry jones literally the owner and brian cashman. Who can't fire tomorrow by a steinbrenner who has it. In their blood to fire people. George steinbrenner was more like jerry jones. Yes yes so look. I don't share your sentiment. Obviously i try to look at glass half full. But i think it's actually very full. I think there's a lot of positive things happening on this team right now. And the way that things are trending. I liked the team. I liked the roster. We have a new leftfielder. A clip frazier. Who's a kid who came up and struggled w- came up well. Struggled in the metal had a bunch of stuff. A overcome had a concussion symptom that lasted for a very long time has proven to be back so a new starting left fielder. that's exciting. The kid is exciting to watch too. We have Everybody's healthy right now knocking on wood. Everybody's healthy new pitchers.

"famers" Discussed on The Bronx Pinstripes Show - Yankees MLB Podcast

"Take a look at the twenty twenty championship dodgers and see how diverse their lineup looked the last yankee championship in two thousand. Nine alternated lefty righty one through nine the yankees give lip service to the notion there. Readies can hit anyone and have opposite field. Power but then aaron boone. Bats hits her gardner third in the lineup arguably their worst sitters. Furthermore gardner gets playing time. Above frazier will. We talked about that monday show. Hopefully that doesn't happen. He says dollar peterson could have come. Cheap for one year deals here are twenty twenty division stint division series batting splits versus the rates versus lefties. A three thirty three batting average with a one zero two five ot ps and then versus righties to forty two average with an eight hundred ups. Seems like it was a problem in the postseason. You know when it counts. Am i alone on this island. Screaming for left handed bat. So i'll say this we. We've we've downplayed the lefty ready thing a bit right because when you look at the numbers the yankees right handed bats against ryan pitching or left-handed bats against right theirs wasn't as much of a difference in split when you're looking at the available options that said if you go out and get a a very specific player like jok peterson. Who mashes mashes ryan pitching. I mean you look at the splits. And they're they're they're like he does not play against lefties that's just that's just what he would be. He would be true platoon. You put him in against the ryan did The the tough hitching and you have him. Feast when you when you go to the okay so we we talk about that as a potential rate. That's all that's all well and good. Regular season doesn't matter as much because of the sample size the amount of games that are happening all these things extended playoffs. But when you get into these these these type situations in the playoffs is where i think. Johnny has a very very valid point of understanding the matchups understanding a guy that is has the ability on the bench. Ready to come in for a game. Be that spark. The yankees have needed that badly over the past three years. They have not had that guy. A guy like john peterson coming in against a tough righty in the playoffs. Being a very positive thing as either a lightning rod or just like going in there with a hell of a lot more confidence because you know that matchup is just better on paper and it would. It puts a little bit of a wrinkle for the opposing manager. Think about and the opposing pitcher. So jock peterson was a specific example. That i that i did like and i thought was a potential for that. You know. fourth fifth outfielder spots so that you can use him in different situations when you break down the individual scenarios than you definitely have a point. Where if you're in a situation where you need a good pinch hitter. Who's a left handed. Bat the yankees. Just don't have that but not because in a match up for a game three or a game to you need to go up against a guy and we get we we look at what we have and then we see overlander out there like shit like nobody can hit him but all of a sudden. Jack peterson twenty. Four hundred like. I felt like every other team had that totally and right now. The yankees have. Aaron hicks was a switch hitter and they have to have hardener shit. I gotta be missing. I swear i just was thinking of someone who know holy shit. Aaron hicks is the only non right handed hitter in the on the roster tyler wade. Aaron hicks the only non rioted or on the roster mytalk. Talk that's what i was thinking of. Mike tuchman okay. Okay but so so there. You go is a guy like jack peterson. Who specializes against hitting right handed pitching i mean the much better or a guy like mytalk man to me. Give me the guy that mashes righties to who's got who's got some very good experience in big situations who's got the you know. He had helvin and was like eleven pitch at bat last year He's just one of those guys who's a grinder that i the him going in. I don't have faith in him putting good numbers all year but in a moment in a in a start like that's a guy that gets up for it like i. I don't get logged thing. I don't love peterson as a player. i think he's an all or nothing hitter. And the yankees. Have too many of those and i go back to the fact that it's in my opinion. It's not a lefty righty thing. It's a it's a same type of player type problem. They need balance in the lineup. Meeting guys who don't who can put that up but in situations that we just outlined a left handed bat would be nice for for the very least to have it to shake things up. They don't have he's don't have it. They don't have it on their roster. They need their thing then choi to the other. The opposing pitchers. Ace bring him back. Bring his enrica. Wilson still available so to answer. It's yet johnny weir with you like the as much talent as as is on this yankees one through nine lineup. It's it's still rather have mike. Talk mentor jock petersen. I i rather have jack peterson because my because mytalk man is a fifth outfielder so he can talk. Minister is just the guy does nothing there. Nothing would for me. But what. I'd rather have jock peterson as getting five hundred plate appearances or would i rather have clint frazier. I'd rather have as well. That's not that wasn't this other topic of discussion though. I don't think that even jack petersen coming in he just got some of the cubs right. Don't i don't know if he's going to be a starting player. If he's a position or fees platoon. I don't know exactly what he was looking for. Maybe he was asking for more plate appearances and expecting that but if there was the ability to get him at a at a decent price probably would have messed with the luxury tax. I would assume but what was a good fit. I'm gonna look it up right now. The next one is from owen. If the yankees don't win this year is cashman and boone gone. We said cashman and boone. They're tied at the hip. These-these i i said. Aaron boone is probably going to be the last yankees manager. Brian cashman ever hires when he said. We want ten more years of aaron..

"I'm expecting it to be an utter disaster. And then when. If he's good then i can be pleasantly surprised. And if he's bad. I can say see told you so. We've we've made lewinsky type. Comparisons which is possible. Joel sherman said that too. And i feel like he stole my my thing because i definitely set up joel sherman. That would be the first thing he's stolen from us. That is not the first i saw. Joel sherman right it Like a we right. After the signing. And i said that at least a month ago right yeah. I'm not saying he actually stole it from us. Because this is no way that joel sherman actually with no i guess i firmly believe that he does and firmly believe that he's stolen things from us in the past and i have. He has stolen in the past. I have. I have pretty pretty good proof of it either way. The thing is that we don't know what to expect and troy to lewinsky was another name coming in very similar to corey kluber and when we look at what the players were toilet to ski has huge ceiling right when when he was at his speech. But that's what everybody goes through their like lewinsky. We know what he was when his peak he can be that again. Well no no no. That was a guy that was six years younger bad ankles and was able to stay on the field. This guy doesn't have attics is older and hasn't played baseball in forever. So the the the ceiling is no longer the same just because the person is the same there as you get older your ceiling gets lower. And that's where i'm afraid. We are with corey kluber. Just i don't think that he has even even at his his absolute best this year. He's going to be the cy young corey kluber. I don't think that's even there anymore. No there's no chance of that ben. Eleven million bucks was just what they needed to pay in order to have him entertained signing so i don't think it was an overpayment either because the market dictates what you're what you make yet not to say again. Like to say that he can be a very good pitcher. I just don't think cy young corey kluber. that guy. that guy does not exist anymore. I don't think it will be fair to say if corey kluber doesn't work out to criticize the yankees for wasting eleven million bucks in not using that eleven million bucks. That's an easy criticism. We have to do that. We've already done that right. We've we've already built that in right now. We're criticizing them now if it doesn't work because there's a risk factor but they're going into that understanding that risk factor and that's why they have the depth that they did they've they've. They've tried to mediate that that risk as much as humanly possible. Next up is justin. He says any chance the yankees would be interested in making a trade with the marlins for jordan yamamoto. Seems like he's on the outs of the rotation. With all the young talent on the marlins. Maybe mike talk men and some low prospects. So yamamoto was part of the yellows. Trade with milwaukee and he looked to be back in two thousand nineteen like projecting as a decent pitcher he made he made. Fifteen starts seventy eight innings. He had a four point. Four sixty are a four point five one fifth and then he just got. He didn't pitch well in limited appearances last year. I i don't know. I'm no i to be honest with you. I have no. I had no. No this is so this is a guy that doesn't move a needle. Mytalk man has value on this team because he's flexible in the outfield. He's been here. He knows he's got pop the bat potentially you know we saw a month and a half where he was. Trout com. the cops they throw. Mike trout comes out their way to easily for guys that have flashed trying to market him. I guess there's no one knows who might. Trout is to market my cockman. They're a market. Mike trout through mike tuchman. Who's the most famous Who who's more famous. Who's a more famous mike. Talk mentor trout. I i live in a bubble a yankees bubble so that answer might not be as far off as for us than it is for other talk played like trout for like two and a half weeks back through those cops were to close. They're throwing him out there too fast. A kid who has never played a guy who has shown it for three weeks the thing with trading for someone like yellow motto is that i don't know that's any different than saying we're going to have. Yeah we're going to give twenty. Starts to michael king or twenty starts to nick nelson. It's like just okay. It's another guy said it's another name that have the yankees have the potential already in their in their system right now they don't need to go out and look for a guy that's a fringe guy. They have that it's it's in place. There's no reason for that and you don't a couple of weeks ago a few weeks ago. Maybe we're we have a different conversation but as we stand today not not a not a need not a. I don't even think it's possibility next up is johnny says. Hey guys big fan of the podcast especially having moved to la. You're my yankees lifeline. As the offseason includes. I feel like i'm the only one still yelling for a left handed bat. The lack of diversity in the yankees lineup feels like a real problem. Can you imagine the red sox with all left-handed lineup ignoring the advantage of the green monster..

"This year and now nobody's getting in so they're having it but it's going to be jeeter. It's going to be juniors moment. They're not they're not gonna waste out moment. Put jeeter up there with all these other cheating bastards. No way not a chance. Jeeter's the yankee that they won't do that to this. This was all too to have jeeter have his moment. If there even is going to be an induction ceremony there will be i. Would i would be very vans there. It'll be in limited capacity. Probably but i'll that may be hard to do Because they're always just sitting out on a field yet but do you have to get tickets. I think i think there might be. That's the only thing is that there may be some kind of an open area in the back. I'm not sure But i i think they're going to do it. I do. well i don't think they're gonna take shillings name off. I think the chairman of the hall of fame or something like that said. They're not doing that so he could get in next year. He's close he's four percent off so yeah Yeah it's a shame with cl- clinton. I gotta tell you i gotta tell you the fact that they know he's got more time and the fact that jeter is going to be in the induction this year. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not i'm like halfway joking. But i'm halfway notch joking. But they got more he. He got more votes this year than it did last year. It doesn't matter. My point is is that it wasn't enough. It wasn't enough people to do that. And i would not be surprised if that was part of the part of the consideration these guys think of some crazy shit and while i think clemens bonds schilling should all be in the hall of fame. I'm totally fine with not having hall of famers in certain years because sometimes there's just don't deserve to be in the hall of fame. There's should vote someone in because it's a year and you just need to have a ceremony. It's like having an all-star if you don't have it also team you shouldn't have to force one in school. It's a really good analogy. Yeah they should not have if you are if you are a horrible team and you have to have be represented by in the all star game centers patient ribbon. It's stupid yeah. it's more embarrassing. When the orioles have to send darren o'day to the all star game because they're teamed associati yeah. I don't know if that happened. But i feel like that happened. There was probably a year the with that happened. He was probably their best player. he was good. But i know. But it's like you're sending a middle reliever. It's a stupid rule if there's nobody there i understand what they're trying to do. They're trying to serve but to the fans really want to see that guy in the does anybody wanna see that guy over there. No they don't and he's not gonna play. We always gonna play. What's the point is gonna play if it goes to fifteen minute. He's going to go out there and tip his cap and we're going to be done with it and said baltimore orioles. The worst is guy's name is when they're going down the the lions and they're announcing everybody. It's the worst is getting boost. The worst is when the crowd doesn't react has no. You are who who is this. What what does he is. You're getting booed you matter enough to get booed being that buddy scott. They don't nobody's the great. Reggie jackson has said that it's true. He's spot on. he is spot on. Mike says hey guys. First time writing a longtime listener diehard yankees fan in toronto. I still think we're the best team in the al but with the moves the blue jays of made in the last week by getting springer simeon and matt's. Where do you think they'll finish. I think they're probably the second best team in the division. Tampa loss. pitching yeah. Toronto has been moving up the ranks. They signed marcus in for one year. Eighteen million do you realize has been the seventh most valuable shortstop in baseball since two thousand sixteen dude simeon was a guy that i think a lot of people wrote off including me when he was just so bad defensively and he's actually very much improved his defense yup which is good for him. He's always been a an offensive player. he's always been able to produce on the offensive side. That's a really good addition right there. That's that's adding a a pretty consistent bat now into that veteran presence. You know part of this oakland teams have been you know who have been good teams gritty team. Sti- edition the toronto boozer making some solid moves yet. Obviously they got springer. That's their big splash. This offseason but acquiring. Stephen matt's i don't know what stephen matt's is at this point. But they made a trade for him. They're doing they're doing some similar things in the rotation where thrown onto of bodies and see. What happens you know. Robbie ray being there but you know again. They have a pearson. Who's the the kid coming up. Who's got just unbelievable. Stuff key could take another step forward and be dominant. He could be a dominant pitcher And be a problem this year. I could see him being a problem. He he's he's good they still have reuse is kind of is like i don't know reared doesn't scare me when he's on the mount but his numbers at the end of the day are ones that that puts you. I mean he's he's would use the daughters. He was a cy young candidate. He's he's had very good numbers. Yeah so often just ability to that team which is needed. I think very young team like that updated alias projections from fan graphs. Have the blue jays in second place now and not only in second place in the in the American league east projected to have the second best record in major league in the american league and a week ago they had the red sox higher than them so they have the yankees with a gotta find it because it's like all the way over with a six hundred winning percentage as projected and the blue jays with a five fifty one. Believe it or not that is the second best in the american league because ahead of them in the majors of the dodgers padres admits but then they have the blue jays coming in at five fifty one in the red sox still at five forty nine out of trade. Just really crank them up much. Losing it for me. i i'm done. I'm done with their projections. These potential kgalema bluejays. You believe the blue jays are going to be a good team. Yeah of course i do. I do think they are. They have a that young nucleus and now they're adding good veterans around them. And i mean george. Springer is a huge a huge deal. So yes i think they're going to be better again. I i still believe that tampa is going to be very very good. And i think that we're we're looking at potentially another dogfight in the american league east the yankees. By far the best talent there is no doubt about it. They have the best roster. They should come out and they should win. The american league is certainly be the favorites but again it just. I'm cut deep these raise..

"Voting committee or is that too much would love to hear everyone's opinion especially scott andrew. So he this was when after I believe it was last us monday or something by the way. This is adam from Fell who met sonny gray and got. The picture was sunday gets a beautiful picture. I love that he posts it every like four five months. All right. I mean i look. I acknowledged the that. It's pretty hilarious to be honest. it's it's a. It's a pretty good picture. I'm just said. I want last names. i see his name all the time pop up in the group and it has never think to read the whole thing and pronounce the name out in my head and then it comes down to do it on the show and i'm like oh boy say this so i'm gonna let you die on the violence every time i know you are. I used to be worse. Go back to listen to like the first fifty. It's not it hasn't gotten much better. If you're giving yourself a little too much credit. I think the reading out loud was a problem. The radio was a problem. You get the hook on. Phonics definitely helped matters so no new electees for the two thousand twenty one hall of fame is the first time since one thousand nine hundred sixty and just the seventh time in its history that nobody was elected to hall of fame. The closest was showing seventy one point. One percent bonds got sixty one point. Eight in clemens got sixty one point six. Why those aren't identical. I don't know it's like if you're a yes on barry bonds. Why wouldn't you also be a. Yes on on roger clements. It's you know they're pretty damn close and sixty one point eight sixty one point six. How does know right. So there's there's like one voter who's a yes on barry bonds and who's a no one. Roger clements personal vendettas. Iago's in there. I guess so. Rebel anywhere on these lists. No personal vendettas. Matter and and so schilling then after he didn't get in next year would be his last year on the ballot and then he sent a freaking letter on wasn't on facebook in the dudes of a A raving lunatic. He's just constantly posting like alt-right memes and yet and he's bad crap but he missed by sixteen votes this year and he requested to be taken off the ballot for next year and he just wants be judged on the on the voters committee he also said on is also not wrong. Either anak capacity. That's his best option to get in. Because that's where these guys are probably going to get in. So he right. But the he'll go to the veterans committee no matter what whether he is on the i know but he's just trying to do it on his own terms. Now don't you know curt schilling. He's got to do it on his on his terms also in a facebook post he said. I don't think i'm a hall of famer. I don't see myself as a hall of famer. But he's mad. He didn't get in the hall of fame. Those two things. Don't line up for me. I don't believe that he doesn't think he's a hall of famer. Either wise meaning. That then i have no idea i when i look at the list and i see curt schilling the we this before like curt schilling to me. Yes he's there debbie. He was dominant for a long time. Multiple teams championships. Like the guy was good. It was a very very good pitcher. I probably all things all things being equal. We get rid of any Any conversations about steroids or anything else. We're just looking at numbers. And i guess he was a dominant pitcher for his era. His regular season stats are a little border line for for hall of fame. But then when you add in his amazing postseason record and his what he didn't unfortunately against the yankees both times thousand one and then in two thousand and four that absolutely put him over the top. I hate curt showing problem passion as much as any player in baseball. That i've ever heated. I think he's one of the worst. And he's a these. Dick i but he's he. You look at the what he did on the baseball field. And you can't deny what he did. He was dominant big huge situations. He's mad at the world. Because i mean you know he's broke. I mean yeah the nia he. He bankrupted a video game company in rhode island right. Yes so but he got him. He got one hundred fifty million dollar loan from the state of rhode island but he also sank thirty million dollars of his own money into the company and they went bankrupt in less than two years so he lost all of his money in this company and then he lost his job at espn because he his analyses. He's a troll on twitter inches yells at people in post trump names so he got he got fired from his probably million dollar a year job at. Espn so he he. He lost everything as he. He's just pissed at the world. Has he sold his rings on ebay a he did have an auction. There you go. That's rock bottom if you if you if you're a world series ring on ebay what are those get though thirty k. forty k. Scratch they give you some scratch. But that's just that's just hold over. That's not no that's just keep going money. That's just let's keep going my nose just next moving forward another another day please. Another six months please. So clemens and bonds. I don't see ever getting in from the vote You've got other guys on here. Do you have the numbers on what Bonds was last year. And i believe it was higher. Can you google that quickly. Because as we said last episode mike my computer will just crap out on me if i try and go. It's amazing that you're asking me to do these things knowing how slow i am doing these things i'm doing. Yep so i think. Bonds and clemens were higher than sixty one point eight percent last year so they have actually gone down. Believe it or not. I don't know if i'm right on that but baseball reference. I think tracks this. I just put in two thousand and nineteen. 'cause i forgot that two thousand twenty happen okay. There's a two thousand nineteen will also tell us though. I know it's it's ridiculous that an entire year happened and we all forgot about it so other notables on this list so manny ramirez is only at twenty eight percent. He should be higher. Andy pets at thirteen percent. I don't know that. Andy pettitte is a hall of famer and i think the stuff definitely are going to keep him out. But i'm surprised. He's not hired thirteen percent. Tim hudson is at five percent. I think i was like question marks unto did this. I i say jess. I didn't say yes i said i have to look at it. Close i feel like by the end of the conversation you are yes. Maybe no talked me into a. Maybe he's he's got he's got no chance five percent no I mean so many so many of these guys are i think are ever going to get it. So kurt showing off have and i can get twenty easily schilling curt schilling bonds. I have all of the above. Okay this see. I'm good here Showing was at sixty point. Nine six zero point nine Roger clemens was a fifty nine point. Five bonds was at fifty nine point one. That's in two thousand and nineteen okay and then in two thousand and twenty shillings at seventy clemens was at sixty one. Bonzes at sixty. Oh so they did. Go up slightly. They're they're in the same guys voting for them. Yeah i immediately knew guys voting for the. There's a new era a good amount of vote. Short you need seventy five percents. Get an yeah. No they're in trouble how they can't and it's their eighth year on the ballot ten years. Then you're off their scarlet. Yeah i really thought early on that. They were eventually going to get in. But i think what we're seeing now is it's Pretty evident that they're not gonna get in. Do you think they're just making a point. And the point sort of been made but do you think in year ten. Everyone who wasn't voting for him will then vote for them. Because it's the last year i mean no the point you've been made i. I don't know what two more years of this just because of the last year. That's that's stupid but it also wouldn't put it. I wouldn't put a pass a hall of fame voters to do something stupid like that. Yes you and. I are not fans of the hall of fame voting into answer. I will say this. I think that they were in the right this year. Because my conspiracy theory. Which i don't think is a conspiracy. There is just the absolute. God's honest truth is that they were just trying to give jeeter his moment back and they didn't want him to have to stand up there with carteling to accept his hall of fame induction wouldn't be right to curt schilling on that same stage is it. It's jeeter and todd helton. yes and they they. They lost their moment last year..

"Some cover s so to speak. Or or do you think that they're just so dug in because they don't like these guys and what they've done and how they went about doing it that no. No sort of grand pronouncement in that way would make a difference. Yeah, I think I understand your question. I guess the best way I can phrase it is the whole theme is going to protect the interests of the Hall of Famers. I mean, their bread and butter is getting the hall of Famers to all come out and gather together. Every July. And if you get Hall of Famers who get upset who maybe are interested, right? And they take a stance that is in conflict with that they do not want to do anything to upset. You know the people who are most important to them, and that's their inductees. On go. I don't think call is gonna come out and make any kind of statement like that in the past. You know, Joe Morgan has made Ah statement in the opposite direction that I think was on behalf of a lot of the Hall of Famers. I do think attitudes may be changing among some of the inductees just because I mean, it's so awful 12 12.5% I believe Of all living whole Famers passed away in the last nine months on Bennet's Yes, it's it's staggering. 10 10 Hall of Famers and the Hall of Fame just got, you know a lot younger because of that, and You know, so maybe attitudes might be changing a little bit. But I don't think the hall will come out and give any kind of guidance. We've been begging them for guidance forever. They haven't provided it. We asked them to lift the rule of 10 votes. Maybe make it 12 or make it limitless. We said 12 because we thought they'd say no to limitless. They said no to 12 s O Anytime we've We've tried to influence this this proceedings. They really haven't listened to us that considered us But they've said no s. Oh, you know, I don't really expect that there's gonna be anything along those lines it so it's interesting that you mention it because it's it's clear. You've got some people who are gay. Keep it. But just talking to people on the record and off the record it I've always gotten a sense that there's some Hall of Fame voters who just feel you know, hamstrung by the process, you know, damned if they do damned if they don't and And to get no guidance from the Hall of Fame just puts him In in a bad spot. Just I'd always felt that there just some people who Earnestly want to do the right thing with the Hall of Fame voting in and they take great pride in it, but they're not, You know, stringent in their beliefs or anything of that nature, but They just kind of don't have anywhere to go. They're boxed in and the whole they're just not Mr Lee doing anything to help them out with that. Yeah, I mean, we're all boxed in. But there's there's all kinds of different sort of negotiations that you make. When you fill out this this ballot in all of these different ways you try to justify how can you keep this guy in? But not this guy? I'm looking to next year's ballot. And I'm thinking I haven't voted for Manny Ramirez because he flunked ped testing was suspended. Um, you know, And does that mean I can't vote for a rod? Even though his numbers or former superiors? He was suspended for a year, You know, Um David Ortiz was someone who who had, but his test came, it was reported. Was never I think 100% confirmed. And it came when they did the sample tests in 2003. Do you know that was that was supposed to be confidential. So I mean, I think a lot of voters kind of draw a line between Hey, if you you know, you actually flunk the steroid test after the league started, you know, suspending players. Ah, and it was strictly against the rules. We all know it was against the spirit of the rules, if not the actual rules in place, you know, before 2003, but I think a lot of people make that sort of delineation. If you got caught after that time and you are suspended, then you know you're ineligible, and that's that why Rafael Palmeiro fell off the ballot. I think that's probably gonna piss community to see what people do with the Iran's when Manny Ramirez has never gotten, you know, above 30% or so So, um, I think Bonds and Clemens maybe are different case. I think we all can kind of recognize that. Their entire career was not a fraud. I mean, we know that they were the best players and pick player and pitcher in the game. You know, before we started suspecting that they might have been enhancing, so, you know, there's just so many different things you could say. Well, they cheated anyway, so you shouldn't It's the Hall of Fame. You shouldn't tarnish it by putting anybody in You know who cheated so it and they're all valid. They're all valid perspectives, and it's really hard when you have all these valid perspectives to get the 75% agreement on anybody, So that's kind of where we are. How do you come to grips with the character clause when you vote Because you said you voted for Omar Vis scale? Um, the athletic in December published a report in which his wife accused him of domestic abuse. He's denied the allegations. They're going through a divorce, but he was taken into police custody. In 2016. And yet you're you, You know, I'm sure there are people that you know, I don't know how you feel about the character clause. But that seems like a major mark on his character. If indeed those allegations have proved to be correct. Are you kind of just waiting to see where that goes? Yeah, Absolutely. I appreciate the question out second. Tell you I posted my ballot. Maybe three or four days before that story came out. Um, even if I still had it, I don't think I would have changed it. I think I would have let the situation in the investigation play out. Not sort of passed judgment before the sacks were all in certainly something that's very troubling. There are other people who are in the hall of Fame that, um have had domestic abuse allegations. Um Karey pocket is when I can think of off off the bat. Um, but but you know, it Z one of those things where you know the character clause. How do I look at it? I look at it as Kennesaw Mountain Landis. Actually, you know one of that clause in there so that voters would consider players who maybe didn't have the stats or the record. There was a player who was coming back from from World War one or something. I think he was a war hero, and you wanted him to be considered. I forget the player's name was off the top of my head, but that's kind of where the character clause came from. I don't look at it as something I'm gonna use to keep somebody out. I think I would use it as something where if someone maybe didn't have, you know the slam dunk numbers, but just gave a lot to the game in a positive way. Um, you know, then I'd give you extra credit in extra points. So I I look at it as an inclusive thing and our exclusive thing. If we're removing Landis, his name's from player awards..

Like we had a We have a family saying I just kind of pay my respects to him every time before I walked up to the plate. So I'm gonna say that just because Grandpa. He meant a lot to me. "Few seasons but he was all over so it in terms of eastern guys who put on a blue uniform and have a chance. I had their best one right. Now is mark burleigh. I really do i i think. But the makes it past year one letting the pacioretty makes any if down. It doesn't make it. You'd say that. I don't think edwin encarnacion makes the past year one but i think barely will keep himself on the ballot until his ten years and in a week. Class burly gets in so as sox. Yeah i'm jack main yeah. I'm pretty sure. He was pissed at florida so he ain't doing that right so good stuff anyway. Is there anything to gentlemen. Would like to add to our conversation. Here before we wrapping to collapse with ric flair. I'm good. yeah tweak. The only thing to monitor. I'll say is the the jayhawk rumor that you brought back at him he. Yeah i'm i'm i'm okay with it as long as it means they're dumping roark like have how do that all day not even thinking about signing up puts. Jay happened pretty elite category. Tony fernandez is a three ten year or three time blue jay at three different stints sign. 'em he's right now. The number three starter. That's easy easy number three. I don't necessarily think that's concerning. I mean like it's not ideal. But i'm worst guys. The biggest thing delays. You're bringing amazon. Somebody who was here in two thousand fifteen. I can teach the youngsters what to do. And i honestly think the yankee thing is what hurt him i really do. I think that the whole thing with everything going on jay. Half is a good pitcher. In toronto he can do is thing as long as his Dip too much which started to As long as he doesn't lose that command in command isn't something you lose. So he's figured it out once he with the blue jackets bro if he walked give credit lease due at blue jays fields. Also before we head out. Happy thanksgiving to my fellow americans. Yes happy enough. Fifty per fifty four percent of our viewership. So just come on guys. You've got to catch missile. Toronto are days fans popping up in the buffalo rochester corridor especially because they played the buffalo this year. so that would be probably the second biggest market. Is that stretch right there so not surprising. I made the goof the other day that too now that you actually have to our league organizations that are what are the toronto blue jays and the now washington nationals are where she used to be the montreal. Expos are actually within an hour drive of each other the rochester red wings are now the washington nationals aaa affiliate officially saw. That was kinda cool. Like i was like. Oh it's like western. New york is just full on you know words blending that whole area around niagara falls in the lake. There are even some americans. Downs at buffalo as can't.

"Or something. Delgado did play there at school. One of the craziest home runs. I had seen was off the batum. Carlos delgado for me being at a live game we were sitting on the right field ray about the bullpen. Me and my dad. The family goof around having a good time. He comes up you. Everybody stopped in those years. Got box and this was two thousand and three so angry. Era live and well Spending up josh towers started that game. If it gives you adding outside of this homerun wonder if i. I don't think i've ever seen a baseball lead. The ballpark faster than i saw one literally a rocket that went right over us at the rock cafe at the time so it was just not. They'll got is the nice way of saying what he. Yeah baseball's crazy so anyway fellas to things up before we move along here to next week. Show a week looking forward. Get your crystal ball ready. Who do you think has the best chance going forward for being the next blue jay to actually wear one of these on a plaque in cooperstown in To money blue jays fastest. Brought that to me. But i think it was very tasteful holiday family. Is anybody got anything they would like to add on that because this is a fun one because a lot of the guys that we live from the twenty fifth team and everything like that are not people that have extended success that you might need to get into the baseball hall of fame jose bautista On talking about. I don't think russell martin really hasn't the numbers to get in even though he has had the long career And obviously we haven't had anybody like right holiday in a blue uniform pitching for us in any time recent. Are you looking at the kids or you just falling. Wasn't jon morosi. That's basically said vlad juniors in already right when he was doing the call at for the closest one. It's got to be jd right. And i don't even think he's gonna get in a blue if he gets in at all he might not even get in at all. We're talking you're talking about window. It really depends on what the next part of his career does here in a soda and his season was cut short this year and he was a little bit slow starter in this weird sixty as into his best year was two thousand fifteen and obviously he won the mvp but he hasn't come close to that sort of production was up before that though there was only one guy that had a better war for like three seasons in a row josh donaldson and that was trout. And so if you're talking about oh my god years right. Those were the years we were just talking about. What god yeah the navy. That would be your top. But i really think that because of what. Jd has been doing. And he's been on winning teams that whole time. I think that's what's going to bode well for him actually staying on for at least a couple of years on the ballot. I could see it. I if it's not gonna be jd for just talking about someone from the blue jays that play for the blue jays that has a chance to get to the hall of fame. The obvious answer is josh johnson. And we're talking about someone that play for the get as a blue jay. Who'll the classes would be little rough. What's your monday man. Christian in the closest would be jose. But he's not a hall of famer right and he's but he's the closest one right now. He has the lead out of all jays that are going to be eligible. But he's not going to get in now so i don't know there is one especially curious because his defensive metrics might carry them pretty well and you gotta think have really shot up. It wasn't a lot of guys doing what he was doing in baseball anymore. Home runs were trending down to the thirty forty. Maybe there's something there but like we were talking about really hall of famer. Numbers are right around fifty sixty career war. Jose bautista defensive metrics. Don't quite get him to wear. His offense gets an at thirty six right now for career war so he might be in that weird category that if he makes it in it's because he was the best of his timeframe type thing that and that happens a lot. That's why i wanted to mention that. I would like to see it. I would. But i. I don't looking at all these players. That sort of did it make you that. We just covered. I just can't see jose the nod and if we're gonna talk about someone that might get in. I could see an argument for russell martin. I think he's gonna if he's going to go and it's going to be as yankee. I don't think it's going to be as a blue jay dodger honestly day go even all beginning and ending book ended pretty like that. It's like right holiday. Sign a blue. Jay correo the end of his career and was very similar to that. Whole idea i But if you want to go first. Quarter the monthly out of the blue jays. Cory now just to make the fun here. Who do you see out of what's going on here right now. What we got in the plan or are you putting kirk in the hall of fame served. It's going to be bo right. Probably as of right now. That i would think even right now if you extrapolate what he's been doing you kind of do the yearly projection stuff for bubba shut. I think he gets the fight for sunday. His dad didn't get stay on one. Yeah definitely so. And i just can't believe that is telling for something like that too. That's slightly ridiculous because in all reality that rockies lineup he was part of i was one of the best lineups in baseball history in my opinion on wall now as far as assembled collective just ungodly amount of offense top first year. Eligible guys this year. Don't they bichette is looking at his career. I know he had a little bit more power than this guy but he reminds me etc a guy who had a solid career and a few years where he really chipped in with some power but was around like twenty. Thirty home runs a decent decent to good player. Who would have an all star daughter to except dante played course field just a little bit longer than dire. So you're going to get that picture out of my head of his dad. Used little on air going around the bases is back to answer the original question. Craig i with you out of As much as i wanna give jose more credit for what he did a started too late in his career if he had an mvp to his name which he should twenty eleven And if the blue jays won the world series in two thousand fifteen which they should have done. I think that could have been enough to get him in may be in his ninth or tenth season. Just because about east brought the franchise back to relevancy. He really did the guy until this year if he played a full one sixty two that has a legitimate shot. At five hundred ones is edwin encarnacion. I think he's tracking at four something right now. I think he's eighty five or something off. The pace covid really screwed his chances at five hundred but even then even if just the five hundred like five hundred is that magical number where your family but is there with all famer now is not again a very very good player. Who had some all star calendar seasons in edwin probably should have been more discussions for mvp a.

"Gonna go one last old timer and then i know one. That brendan can finally talk about fred. Mcgriff actually went through all ten years of all The thing that kills me on him he was this close to having five hundred career home runs if he gets that five hundred. Tom run. I don't think this is even a question. I really don't but as far as it goes like. I said ten years on the ballot. I'm trying to get all the high percentages here because unfortunately it's unlike ten news on baseball reference Started out with a twenty one percent bounce all over the place up down left right here there in until nineteen finished with thirty nine point eight. Guess the crime dog was literally one of the best hitters in baseball in gets lost in the wash of steroid users in that timeframe guys and for a guy that just purely hit the damn ball and didn't play on a lot of teams that were as good as he was. I think is part of the other thing here. Those couple years after between trade for the blue jays being on the padres of hurt him he finally joins the atlanta braves and gets team. That is really really damn good. Got finally got a chance to see him shine in the playoffs in those years and he was literally the igniter those offenses but the the last year on the ballot go. This was the first year that our first or second year that they expanded the voting a little bit for the percentages of stuff marianna rivera gets a unanimous voting edgar martinez. Roy halladay in that year martinez martinez being on his last year on the ballot. I don't know how you don't have a coughing conversation about the h. players and not have editor are tina's in hall of fame. It was just insulting that was taken that law and so on this ballot. Not he got lost off. But when you you're still holding people like clemens schilling and whatnot how do you not get a few more votes to get from griffin ear. There's this on this list. I just can't believe the guys that got more votes on than there. You're talking sammy sosa. Manny ramirez all these other guys really. Why read actually deserves it pointing. I didn't realize that someone like manny got more votes than mcgriff. I can't justify that. I can't find a rhyme and reason why he wouldn't be in the hall of fame even though i would vote for him but for him to have less votes than someone like manny and sosa. I'm sorry that to me is just ridiculous. what did you say. He finished with thirty nine percent his last year. Percent justice in forty point two but on sosa ramirez didn't get more votes than him. But i stay in the fact that they got votes. Oh you're you got somebody collecting those votes from what you would think that somebody like. Why would i give these guys. He deserves it now. So are we ready to talk. Carlos delgado brennan. I'm gonna let you talk about the guy that i watched for sure. So remember watching the crime. That delgado didn't get enough eligibility to stay on longer like other eight percent. Yeah fifteen the best hitters in baseball for that era real easily totally totally one of the best power hitters around like you look at that stretch from ninety seven all the way through to his first year with the mets in two thousand six. After one stopover with the marlins and like he was always always above one twenty two in a wrc plus department always like he was always near forty home runs for his career always in the middle of a lineup like he was a fearsome power hitter face to the blue jays for years. But you could also say delgado was named kind of like jose bautista was where everybody knew. You're playing the blue jays you had gado following gotta watch out you. Better watch out for him and people talk the same way. I would think about jose bautisa. Eventually it was. I gave replay the blue jays. Shit we gotta watch out for jose so yeah gado should still be on the ballot. That's for sure if edgar made it as foreign eventually in annot edgar was better at getting on base Other stuff like that but if made it as long as he did. Delgado should made longer than fred mcgriff that much. Yeah and the thing that like. I mentioned earlier guys. Alex rodriguez speeds him for the two thousand three. Mvp award auto runner up and just listen to this stat line for a second blue jays fans who have not paid attention to carlos delgado. He was an mvp candidate for a while. He was a top top ten finish her three times in his career and those were the blue jays and he was out. Sorry there was a fourth one. I forgot they had that really resurgent year. With the mets at the end they're ready for the just. The injuries as pile up on his knees played One hundred and sixty one games. The only game he did not play was the last game of the season. Hundred and forty five rb is forty two whole home runs at thirty eight doubles. That's three zero two. With a one point. Zero one nine. On base percentage madison points are one sixty one of eps plus so steroids. The only reason he's not the mvp reason i right and if he won the mvp award. I guarantee you. He was on that ballot at least a second year. Probably that'd be my guest to that would be my guess. Ps culas fucking monster. There's a reason that when he runs guys on sportscenter one got it. Yes he did. He people might not know this blue jays fans. Bro that four Homerun game that fourth home run. He baffler before anybody. Blue jays uniform just missed. Think outside of the body so that is my favorite bath. Because it's a blue thing. No he's yeah. He hits the homerun. You just don't need this anymore. It's not a year and that's one of those games that if you i love the old school of stadium to if you can if you can watch that. Were they wearing the birds. That's the only thing. I hate about allah. Yeah it sounds like man. What a what a great hitter. But again i'm not trying to make excuses but maybe you know brennan this call back to what you're saying you kinda gotta be a lee at more than one. Think and you know. Seeing as though he wasn't like primarily a d. age he played first base. Maybe that's what did him and he started off as a catcher too which is crazy but most people forget actually. Yeah and he was able to. They just didn't think he was going to have the legs to they. Thought he was going to be a better offensive force throughout his career. If they got him away from catching they thought it was. That was too important to lose to catching all fun. Little tidbit about delgado. And i know that there's one listener. Whose from this area near saint catharines Just on the other side. When you cross the border it'd be one zero and you start driving to toronto Delgado is one of the few blue jays Who played for There i think it was their single a team when the blue jays had single team in saint catharines ontario and they played at the same baseball stadium Brock badgers baseball team. The university plays that bad. I worked for the badgers team. But i remember hearing the like. Wow delgado plate here in saint catherine's and lived here when they had a single a team here so for whoever's listening niagara area That stadium which i forget the name. Now i think it's jack taylor field.

"What we have right now it becomes equally insane in deep son especially for a position. We didn't get any ons. And i know brennan. You've been a big in adam yourself to. We've talked on this show many times. That danny johnson has a crazy good contact ratio. It just goes right at the guys and it to me this would signal the blue jays are at least this is where a place that they see that they can really get. Some wins as far as filling in a position. I don't get them abandoning ship. On any of those guys. This would be a retooling of assets like we were kind of looting there and if this is the difference between getting somebody i think you have actually a better chance of landing. Jt than you do of land. George springer i do too. Yeah probably in. Yeah also you know. More to the point about dan jansen and their willingness at least extensively right now the way we're talking about it maybe deal them You think about this core rate. The core of this team. I would argue is in no particular order lord.'. Vladi bo cavin. I'm just talking Infielders outfielders and you'll have to talk about pitching prospects either but in a way with the performance that he had this past season. You can throw rowdy in there. And obviously janssen's part of that. But i think due to the performance this past season janssen is to me the most disposable of those assets and for lack of a better way to put it. But he's the most movil one. The problem is is that you don't have the depth. The major league ready depth at that position to really be aggressive in trading away. Danny janssen so yeah in terms of us to pull the trigger unless unless this happens but as it stands right now i can understand the being gun shy about it but i also feel the same way about the outfield position. And if you're asking me what would. I'd rather prioritize. Definitely the outfield position. So in that case. I rather than utilize the funds in liquidate those assets to get a spring out rather than the real move though. I hear area on that one but before we keep Beaten on this obviously blue jays fans is just a wonderful news thing that we get in the last twenty four hours throwing tonight show speak hypothetical about a little bit because we all know you love you. You are all on the rumor mill trading right now as far as our plans go. But i had an idea. Long ago fellas when we're funny enough all three of us. I think jay's journal still or at least the two of us me and brandon. You bet moved on at that way but he doesn't fifteen season. That's okay so this was just after that season. So i wrote an article that was about toronto blue jays players. That just missed the hall. Favor should've gotten more consideration. Guys that might be wearing the actual blue hat on the plaque. And that's what we're gonna spend most of our talk this evening. But i i thought it would be fun. Fellas to talk actual hall of fame ballot. None of us get real votes for the baseball hall fan. But i thought it would be fun to just have a quick chat of what. This year's ballot consists of who you would vote for who you wouldn't maybe who you definitely don't want in there. Those things is have a quick talk on that whole thing right now. If i had to vote. I was thinking that i'm still throwing curt schilling in which i know a lot of people. It's kind of odd. But he's been really close. And i figure this year when the ballot being kind of barron. He's probably going to get in and he's gonna few extra votes the other guy that i can't believe that hasn't gotten more votes over the last few years. Todd helton is definitely getting a check box for me. And that's not just because of course field thing so as far as that goes those are really the two guys. I would want ballot. There's a lot of guys on there that are the barry bonds is clemens is trying to the ballot zero. I'm slow and i forgot about pulling up before everything. But what do you guys think. As far as what you guys saw the ballot who you might put your vote in for if you had one you know did curt schilling did so much damage to rhode island with this Thirty thirty eight or thirty six studios figures name heike baseball studio. Yeah i i just as a rhode island native here. I can't get behind that. The i'm serious. If you guys don't know what i'm talking about look up how bad he fucked up the economy for rhode island particular but yeah it was bad. Then kind of batch. It crazy. So i'm going to say no to curt schilling a little bit. How many how many times do you have to be on the ballot. Is it nine or do you have ten. And that's it. Ten young gonna make roger clemens and barry bonds sweat a little bit. I think one of them is actually there last year well. They're both in their night. Actually there nope. This is their ten year on the ballot. Nice nice yes so they make them wait the last votes. I want all three of them to sweat. Yeah so one. Other one i want. I forgot i had two other guys. I really wanna talk about. Billy wagner gary sheffield you gotta put sheffield yeah i m sheffield even above my i. D love gary sheffield. That's swing at just say the value awesome and even towards the end of his career at the tigers. It was a pretty damn good d. h. tigers this of always seemed to had good reason. Eight older guys who they bring in sheffield and then it goes the victim martinez at prince fielder comes in there and play some d. h. Sell out much big pop of sessile to yes fielder. Early played first base for how they're like. I don't think any of these guys are to get in to be honest with you. Like that's who i'm really looking at especially because that's a little bit more in my age range like i. I saw billy wagner saw scott in specially winning as a blue jay manny of course jeff kent not so much a noise in his eighth season But some of these. I you guys. I can comment on a little bit better than some of the older guys. Hudson was little too injury prone throughout his career but when he was healthy he was extremely good. Torii hunter may lead shot but again like torii hunter kind of falls in the exact same ranges. mark burleigh for me where they both had very very very good careers. But i'm not quite sure it's hall of fame level careers like there's a lot of guys who just miss out on the hall of fame for being very very very very good multiple time all stars Maybe they win a world series if they get lucky but if they don't just being very very good i don't think that gets in no more Except for halibut. You have the herald baynes clause. I know baynes weather very very good player. Got in so maybe hundred falls in line with that. But i like it's a week ballot guys. Like if there's a any if bonds or clements gets in which i'm totally down barry bonds. Getting in i would hope that this is the year in clements. I'm a little less sold on But i think he has. He has a spot in there and i now that he was on royds or whatever he did during his blue jays ten by like goodness. That was some of the best pitching roger clemens ever deb when he was a blue jay And the numbers were like incredible so comments and bonds. I think they get in this year. That might be it to be honest. I don't think anybody else that's there. I hope schilling doesn't get and he's been of jackass but beyond that percent last year. Though i know this is gonna be there's gonna be there's gonna be four or five more people at vote for him. I agree. He'll probably get in. And maybe it's schilling. Climate in bonds in Becomes one of the worst classes that go in for years. So i don't i just don't seem to have a certain stain to stain hall of fame. Class think it kills me. God now counting. How many people don to blue jays clemens fiscal rolin going down the list. Here burly burnett in hawkins is that is all. That's it right. But i don't think he ever played a game for the blue jays brings training. I think was the right or if he did it was only a couple of games. And it would have been ninety two brent. This.

"Fellas before we dive into tonight's topic which is going to be talking about blue jays in the hall of fame and what the hell goes on there. There are some big rumors going around as far as the blue jays. Catching is concerned. And i'm sure both of you was seeing that. Jt realmuto has been flying around as possible. Serious push for the cia bluejays. Is this coming as a little surprised. Either of you out of you want kick us off. Sure i'll kick it off. No i think that the blue jays it's been pretty straightforward at least Beat writers and people connected with the team been pretty straightforward that the a big area of need for this team is the catching position because While i do appreciate the feeling that the three of us have bestowed upon danny janssen There's a real good possibility that what we've seen is what. He is a good possibility. And obviously we're not expecting anything from reese mcguire and i've been on record on the show. Say kirk is just not ready for a full season in the major leagues. Not yet you can't go from single-a and try to cram in a full one sixty two. I just don't think it's going to happen So that being said there are in need of a veteran catcher veteran catcher that can perform on and this tells me two things one. They're being aggressive. Which you know if these rumors are true that lends credence to that into the spells. Bad news for jan. Dan jansen's tenure as a blue jay. So am i shocked. No do i think it'd be a good signing sure. I would like to know what kind of money is being tossed out there for him. Yeah i carry some. It's in the russell. Martin mold would be where i would think it would be mark. Maybe a little more expensive. I'd be a little uncomfortable with that. Yeah i'd wanna go a year less. Maybe two years left the possible if it gets it done with that kind of like if the are needed to get done for also martin there. I think they're around the same age when they signed. Russell martin may have been another year or two older. So you got real mutoko. Who's born in ninety one. He's twenty nine. I think he'll turn thirty at some point during the next season. Be thirty before the start of next season starts. He's going into his age thirty season. He has started play some first base and he can go there which is good so maybe the wear and tear on jt. Real mutual isn't There on the free agent market look caught me off guard. I'm not gonna lie. When i first saw it but at same time after i saw i put up my tweet saying surprised i thought about it like it just makes sense you know it. It does allow for that flexibility. To move danny janssen or keep danny janssen and have them play equal time behind the dish. And then you're looking at really good catcher situation. It could also lead the trading danny johnson or aby alejandro kirk. I'd be surprised if they Trading kirk away but it just opens up every single catcher in the organization to be dealt in this signals to me that they've had a ton of interest on their catchers and let's keep in mind the guy guy who's reporting this is craig mich- who's the main guy for the marlins and he's usually right on the ball with all marlins related stuff unreal. Mutual hasn't been there for a while but they still got that connection He was the first one to break. Vr trade to the blue jays this past year break the martinez trade to the marlins At the deadline. So if it's coming from him he's pretty well connected with the marlins An ex marlins. So i believe it. I think that there's some smoke there as far as the smoke goes. I would think that if that is going gonna happen. I think you hit the nail had plenty of fights nibbles on catchers are on hand for the toronto blue jays. And if that's going to signal what's going on then it then just go i. I'm completely fine with us. That's how this is going to go just do it. And this is the signaling that the fact that they could be able to add that impact player they were talking about. We were all working. I have assuming that might be through trade. This was something i you know. We've all known that realmuto is out. There bought was really going to be a true blue jays. Possibility everybody kinda that. One off because of the plethora of catching that we have. So unless you're gonna move something. I think brennan Adam you hit it perfect that something has to move there from this piece work and and makes me wonder what the other piece of this whole thing is well. Let's not forget last week. We were talking about the possibility of just outright writing reasonable choir. That was on the table and didn't happen. It hasn't happened yet. But if if you acquire a guy like real motel and you know if you want to if you're dead set on keeping danny janssen's so you can gauge what you have in a full one sixty two Sure you can do that. But that you don't want to carry three catchers at least i don't necessarily Unless you're going to designate reset know how many options he has if any if he's a minor league candidate or maybe if it's taxi squad at that point a taxi squad candidate than shore but If not in your your sort of hands are tied. I don't really have a problem releasing him. Yeah i've in the same boat take looking. I think when you even add in the fact that they protect marino from the rule five draft is officially added. There's all that to me signals that they are willing to move one of these guys whether it's janssen. Abc's kirk kirk is getting a crap ton ahead and people are calling on him and jock back. When shock me i think anybody's in play But the move and hell they got real mutual man like that is a legit impact guy like he was almost worth two wins this past year in sixty game or however many people aid and the worst six so he's good offensively and he's great behind the dish so signed me up if this is real. Not the mention guys. The analyst isn't exactly the most hitter friendly division baseball. And you're talking about a guy that has hit twenty home runs. The last two years is if you extrapolate. What would have been a double of numbers this year would at twenty as well through a regular one sixty two and he's been around to sixty as a massive offensive improvement and not mention. He is a great defensive catcher. A guy that he hasn't won a gold glove right but he's come close a couple of times he's been nominated as saw either way. Not the mentioned already a silver slugger with her winner. And he's been a two time all star. No big deal right. So this is where the bluejays are gonna take a little lump of their money that they're allowed throw round throw it raves. Not if this is the difference between some of these other options we were talking about the previous shows. Were you on the scale. Here would springer trading for kris bryant signing somebody realmuto literally the splits in the whole thing right now. I'm blessed. i got cut. Yeah it's of course it's tough There's the benneton constant each spring a little older I think it just comes back to their outfields is so bear avenue all the big league roster right like in craig. I know that. You're not the biggest springer guy out of my take your more on the springer train if they were to adam but after what. They have in their roster. It's like there's nothing. The outfield is the weakest spot in this organization's depth chart aaa aa wherever that springer just solidifies that for four or five years you can maybe move off of lured us or taos car in a trade. If you bring springer sound kind of think of it if you had springer one of those guys become available if you Janssen kirk merano. One of those guys becomes available via trade to add something else. Maybe use that to get now. Fielder springer doesn't work so maybe more fifty fifty. But i think i still maybe go sixty forty In favor of springer mutual but then both of them would be like either one. I'd be over the moon with just imagine her lineup. That has realmuto batting. What with.

"They're very good compared to all other sports in terms of black hiring, But if you look at black head coaches, they're down to just a handful in the number of more being has more than cut in half since 2014 So this is an issue. I think that the N BA, which is looking at society, rightly so needs to do some focusing on itself. Yeah, Before I let you go. We want to note that to Hall of Famers died this week, former Georgetown basketball coach John Thompson and the great picture. Tom Seaver. I know that you You're a Mets fan, Your thoughts on on Tom Seaver and John Thompson. Well, Tom Seaver's greatness preceded my fandom in life a little bit. They won the world Siri's with him before it was born. But he's by far the greatest met of all time, and he was the he was the only member of the Baseball Hall of Fame with a Mets hat. That's the big thing. What team that you affiliate with? Later, Mike Piazza joined wearing the Mets hat. He also made the Hall of Fame with 99% of the vote. This was at a time when there was always one or two cranky holdout who had never vote for you since then, can Griffey Junior Mariano Rivera got 100%, But he's really just is one of the greatest pitchers of all time. And it's gutting Tio Mets fandom, which is wide and diverse. Yeah. And and John Thompson. You know, I was a fan of ST John's, which is the rival John Thompson. So I hated John Thompson. But it was a hatred born of just grudging respect. He was He was a great coach, a great recruiter, and he took social stands that at the time drew some criticism, for instance, hey boycotted the game because of the requiring certain as a T scores. To earn a scholarship. And I think history has proved him right on that stand. And I have to say when I was 10 or 11, and he did this. I was just a grumpy anti Georgetown fan. Yeah, Yeah, He was right. I was wrong, but I was Mike Pesca is here and now sports analyst and he hosts the daily podcast that just at slate dot com Micah's always thank.

"Get to the phones the people could chime in started off with william in illinois william you're on e s p n radio how are you i'm doing good thanks for taking my call william once once we get a quick question hear about the super team because i had the privilege of even watching in the bird magic days it seems old school team start it's a super team the only difference now it's the methods the players despite more than just the gm so my confusion is just like we want lebron to win a championship remote williams both were okay with letting jordan reed with hall of famers magic we will hall of famous bird hall of famers where we want this generation to win we liked the six man on the bench starters kind of confused with pat i know the method is different but old school start at the super team if you look at a greatest players there's not too many that one without other hall of famers and the people that didn't have hall of famers back in those days they were great life reggie barclays they will throw in you you you're throwing you into the knicks now is the classic example right because he never had himself you know number number two guy necessarily william thank you for the phone call you're right you're right and i think maybe the fan takes exception with the method more than anything else because it is a little bit unconventional and look unless you've been i doubt underneath a rock and you haven't been paying attention the players were the ones who run the show here and they unbe hands down or anthony davis a guy like anthony davis shouldn't spend at least ten years what the team that drafted him right i mean when you get a talent that transformational that good guy should at least be on his team fray good number of years and give them every chance to put a winner out there so anthony davis his contract is up in the year he goes to the pelicans and he says you know what guys sorry this ain't working out i wanna go to the new orleans has to say okay fine we're gonna move you because we don't wanna let you walk out the door for absolutely nothing right you wanna be able to get something in return but especially these small market clubs you want the superstars on those teams now the difficulty of the day have is number one you're not gonna be able to attract a lot of free agents at least i'm talking big major free agents who are gonna really impact a title run they don't wanna go to those places so the only way that you could possibly get him is by of the trade or of course the draft you know and then you hope maybe you get lucky in a case like an oklahoma city who decided to go all in and they roll the dice on paul george and the trade with indiana everybody thought that after one year paul georgia's gonna be gone and he was gonna go sign maybe back home in california instead he decided to commit long term here in oklahoma city now they haven't won anything so maybe that's not the best examples but i think you catch my drift you have to be a little bit creative if you're a front office guy in may you know.

"Of the greatest racers world hydroplaned at various parts of the track. And hopefully, they wouldn't be slammed by another driver who also hydroplaned. But apparently if you heard one of our interviews with Sebastian survey Dreux early on here about an hour ago. He said that they lost fifty cars in an hour. How about that? Because a cars just sliding off the track three or four cars would get together. The drivers could not see it all the the he said he could only see out literally out his windshield and the front of his front of his car. And that was it and you saw videos tonight of I it's on Facebook and Twitter the various teams, and they have videos a guys racing. And all of a sudden, boom, they just run right into the back of the guy and their day is done that or you go out in the grass, and it's all mud. You're stuck there? You can correct. That's correct. So that that track does not drain. Very well, they had the they had the white or they had the dryers out there. But that didn't work. So they called it with just about I think four or five minutes left in the actual race. And it was kind of silly. They were saying well, all the they're going to send them back out there to rayson thinking just this end it. Yeah. Just end it because of safety and everything else because it's nuts. You already went twenty one hundred twenty three and a half hours or whatever. That's it gave them the watches, and that's it. So Wayne Taylor racing wins it for the second time in three years. The overall winners of a rainy Rolex twenty four at Daytona today. The Konica Minolta Cadillac team wins of Fernando Alonzo Kumi Kubayashi, Jordan Taylor and ringer vendors. And so we say congratulations to them. We also say, congratulations. To the dragon speed team, of course, Sebastian's of Adria part of that of the IndyCar series, the L MP, two champions and the Ray hall Letterman Lanigan team headed up by Colton Herta one for BMW, and the GT L M classes, they heard them tonight. So that's not too bad to Rolex winters out of four classes in one show. Thank you. And ask for change. That's correct and an- Anna Lambert Gainey won the GT de class and Alex Zanardi. If you were wondering what happened to the that team? Alex Zanardi was racing with John Edwards had Cincinnati ties here. Alex Zanardi had had issues with his steering wheel that allows him to accelerate when the wheel in his first stint that put his BMW behind the wheel. They came back out finish eighteen laps behind their class in winning teammates. The all female team Katherine Legge, Anna, Anna, Beatrice Simona diesel vest row and Christina Nielsen, of course from right motor sports up in the top five at various points in their cat car throughout the race. But late race trouble. Put them thirteenth in the class. They were eleven behind the class winners. Probably just one of the most challenging races for all these drivers to actually race in a monsoon all ever, I fifteen hours. It was great. NBC? Coverage was wonderful. The TV coverage was there. They had Dale Earnhardt jR in the house. Steve Letard, a nose guys were going crazy because they're used a Ford Chevrolet, and and and Toyota, but you had a Lamborghini. You had Porsches you had Cadillacs you had. Let's see what else. Ferrari, Honda Ford, you had everything under the planet today, except maybe a Pontiac Pontiac. Yeah. And they were racing today at the first fifteen hours typical endurance race. But then once the rain hit early in the morning, all you know, what broke loose and over the final hours. The vast majority of the race was either under a safety car. Red flag due to the torrential rain. The second red flag period resulted in the race being called nearly ten minutes from the end. So did a good thing by ending this and steady everybody getting back into the cars and finishing off and everything everybody wound up safe. And so the Rolex twenty four the the racing season is underway with Ted McKay in in in in in the entire world right now. So many times junior got to say slide job was off the track. I know I saw him a couple of times I think he was just overwhelmed by by just. You know, the the different cars that were there and the amount of absolute, you know, drivers that were there. I mean, it just like Scott Pruitt what a five time champion that event was the grand marshal, and you had this and that going on. And it's like it was like unbelievable action today at at at the Rolex twenty four. So that's that's that's what happened today. So that's the way it goes. So what are we going to do here tennis while we are? All right. Let's let's go to. Hey, pat. How you doing tonight, man? Find yourself doing all right, circa, graduations. You are one of the class of twenty thousand nine hundred honorees to the hall of fame of the Don. Garlic museum drag racing. How was the houses feel you? And Gary Rupp of Dayton are going in his hall of famers. I think it's quite an honor quite a privilege to be honored this way. And it was very very humbling to have your pairs select us to that Gary. And I where do what are you getting inducted into this on Thursday before the gator nationals? Okay. Great. So you're going to be done with all the heavyweights. Nice. Nice race that weekend too. Oh, yeah. How do we get the battle of big? Well, tell me about this. How did how did you and Gary get together, Pat? Well, we both were from Dayton. And we. Drag racing before I was a kid hanging around him. And. Let me drive his car. He had a gas. Nineteen seventy. My brother was going with with Gary and all the time and kept telling me couldn't drive a nail. So. Any seventy. And seventy one days. The class. And then during I decided we needed a quick. Enough. We went to the rest of the story. I guess we know you got a new car this this this version of the car you got right now you've been totally fast last couple of years. This thing. Got an extremely good crew of together right now they've been what for all of them for about six or seven years now and Scott grams been with me for about ten years the crew chief and he's been through some hard times. Good times. He's got it figured out. Really quite well to the point now where there's a lot of people. For advice, which has agreed which is really really some of the bigger dogs are calling him asking these cars. Pat Dakin with us here on seven hundred wwl w out of Dayton. He and his I guess the owner of the car Gary Rupp will be going into the the class of nineteen of the Don garlic museum of drag racing home of the international drag racing hall of fame. And I mean, the Pat you don't have to tell us anything. I mean this area. Cincinnati Dayton and everything else has had some great race car teams and drivers over the years, haven't they? There's been a lot of back in the seventies and eighties. This was really hot better drag racing. The west coast guys came out here because there was no place to race in California. Came out here because you cut rate out here. Sometimes couple times a week with a fuel car, and may really progressing to donate. A lot of racing. Around here. I remember the division three points meets at Edgewater, and it was like a tuna for India rear and everybody under brother was there. Very very true. Asian races were. Getting ready for a national? Now. Do you do you still race today? Yeah. Yes. I do. What what what what what what are you? Are you still in these kind of cars, or what what what what what are you where do you where do you head two different tracks around here? I told you about ten racing here. And I do what geographically makes sense. I I don't go any great. We're going to great Gainesville, which is like eight or nine hundred miles. That's probably one of the longest we make an okay. Bristol norwalk. We'll just what makes sense around here. We tried to get because everybody all my crew two full-time guys on the car and everybody else has jobs. So we gotta get back to work. Don't you? Hey, well, we appreciate your time. Congratulations on this. Congratulations on the hall of fame here. And Pat Duncan we appreciate your time tonight. Thank you. All right. Thank you, sir. All right. So we wanna thank the two Rolex winters that we had tonight Sebastian's of Adrian, also Colton Herta. We also want to thank Michel Leveque yo of so for his setting that up. Jay, fry the Indy-Car president NHRA's Klay Milliken. And then as you heard right there hall of Famer, Pat Dakin, it is eight thirty. This is the Miami valley gaming racing apart. We'll see in two weeks after the Super Bowl right here on seven hundred w Paul W in Cincinnati..
