A look in her eyes I just go I can. I feel good. So. Do you. Can you track throughout your life? Because it shouldn't be the case, but the reality is at least in my experience, it is it takes someone beautifully secure to explore a relationship with someone who perhaps isn't Identical to people that they've been within the past right and knowing that the world is a tough place and people make snap judgments and whatnot. Have you always been open insecure in this way to sort of be completely open to love no matter where what it looks like. I don't I don't know when I was younger. I dated. Black. Women. Black Girls. And a lot flack for it. But I didn't care because I like who I like and nobody's GonNa tell me who to like because my family was racist Where'd you grow up or? I grew up in. Colorado. Some other, some other. States but. My, my family's. Mostly from the South but and not everybody's in my family racist. But there was a couple of people that are you know questioning my my choices of Asian and black women and I said I like who I like and I don't care. Who you want me to like. I'm GONNA, like who I like and what I think is beautiful is beautiful and and how I love is. It's right. It feels good to me and I don't care what you think. and. That's kind of how you know. I am with Alan because. I. Just I just said You know what? Give her a shot dater. You don't have to go to bed with her, you can data and and take to dinner and have a good time and make a friend. Get to know somebody that you know. Look at something that you've never. Look at an idea Her, her outlook on life her. How she thinks. And and see what it's like and just try to get an hour. And that's what I did. So I I'm really happy because even though we're not, we're not always happy. We arguing on. That's every. Yeah every relationship. Love you pay. The second of my life, it's it's something. Is something I see in her is that? I don't i. You could say, Oh, well, she's trying to I. Don't care. I feel I. But then I met him and I saw them together and I saw how loving they were and I was like this is wow. They're really good couple. They love each other. And I accepted it. and. That's how I am with Fallon. I. Had Them I. Feel Love. So I, accept it. And what? What was it like when you're I? You know it's it's nervous making no matter what introducing new relationship to your inner circle and the people that you're. Closest with, and then when there's this extra layer to it, what was that like? I'm pretty much I don't care. Who I like? Yes, and if you don't like them that I don't like you in, did you have?.

Mastering Money With the Budgetnista

"So. Tiffany. Let's start with your personal story. So we're currently in third recession of the century. But I'm guessing that you're doing just fine partially at least because of the lessons you learned during the last recession to tell us a little bit about your history, what the last recession was like for you and what has happened since then. Now. Certainly The last question caught me off guard i. Was Not prepared. I because quite honestly I was a schoolteacher and you know I was pretty confident. I'm like, I don't know that schoolteachers lose their jobs because you know we are essential workers, and now yet here we are back again. But Yeah I was a schoolteacher and I didn't move my job actually in two, thousand, eight when so many of my friends did but I let I lost it at the tail end of two, thousand nine. So it really took me by surprise but. Up until like I would say, twenty, five, twenty, six, I was what I called financially. Perfect. I grew up in a household. Money was talked about wasn't scared of talking about finances. Might author was a CFO OF A small nonprofit? He also had his NBA in economics, his his a in finance. My mom was a nurse and we literally used to have money meeting so. I. Didn't grow up with the angst that most people did. So by the time, I was twenty five even though. I was teaching preschool wasn't making much. I think I was making like forty thousand dollars a year By the time I was twenty, five ahead. Forty thousand saved bought a Condo I. I had an ADL to I. Think Credit Score at didn't have any credit card debt. I paid off like my parents helped with my undergrad degree plus. I commuted. So what I did haven't stood alone. I was able to pay that off a few years after school. So financially perfect like okay. So I honestly couldn't relate although I was helping my friends with their budgets savings and things like that. I couldn't relate to the mistakes because I had not yet need them but I was going to then. When I was twenty six, I went on to get my masters in education and I was like, okay. So you now you went from no debt to a mortgage, not so bad. I had a a you know student loans because my master's not so bad. But by twenty six, I said, okay. Now, I'm ready to learn to invest and instead of asking my father who has literally two degrees in years of experience I'm GonNa ask a friend of mine. and. So I asked a friend of mine who appeared to be independently wealthy because he had like a really nice car. and. Like a like a fancy apartment he's well I think Spurs. You have to learn to invest with other people's money at. My money. So what he postulated as is that. Do, you have credit card said, yes. But I paid off in full every month because as instructed by my father, he was like well, did you know you could pull money off a credit card? I, did not know that. So he said not only can you pull off one? You could pull it off to I was like double the mistake. Let's do it. So I pulled off twenty thousand dollars off of my credit cards and I went to invest with him what's to say? That didn't happen I. ENDED UP Thirty, five thousand dollars in credit card debt when I didn't have credit card debt prior and I just remember thinking a first year. I said didn't want to take responsibility for the mistake that I made I did not tell my dad or my mom. But I pay just a minimum because I said, you know what? He's going to come back or he's GonNa. Take care of this because it's not my fault of Ansel from age twenty seven I didn't do anything. Well, twenty, seven night out the money twenty eight, just pay the maximum finally twenty nine, I said all right I'm GONNA pay off this debt just going to buckle down I live pretty frequently anyway, and then twenty nine is when I lost my job. So. Now, I've got a mortgage student loan credit card debt and I was like, okay, I don't know what to do. I've never been in the situation. So. Fallon to this light dark hole of like spiral like because I'm twenty nine going on thirty I've lost everything as far as I can tales financially. So I ended up moving back home with my parents without telling them why they knew it was the recession obviously, and they also knew I lost my job, but they didn't know. ABOUT CREDIT CARD DEBT Live with them for year than I. Am I live with my sister on her couch for year, try to figure out my life because back. Then now we're getting the six hundred dollars a week on our stimulus stimulus check. But what was happening then as they just extended unemployment typically, you can get unemployment for up to a year. They extended to two years. So I said, okay, you have two years to. To figure out what are you going to do with your life I was afraid to go back to work for someone because I thought it, you can lose a job as a preschool teacher essential. Then that's not safe. What could be safe? So I tried a bunch of different things I tried on party promoting party planning I volunteered everywhere I can think of, but while doing so I was helping my friends. But save get out of debt all these things in one day. My friend said, you should turn that into a business and I'm like you. Now I had gone to school my bachelor's degrees in business, but I hadn't used it. And so I, tried to charge people one on one. Only to find the people that you're actually helping with your budget. The reason why they hired us because they don't have any money. So that was a bad business. So I, switched my business model to one too few and I worked on getting contracts and I got my first contract with the United, way? And I rose excited 'cause they were going to pay me I think like. Three, or four, hundred dollars a class and I had a six week course that I'd written. For them, and so I did, and that was like my first. Okay. Maybe I can really make a run at this My little sister gave me the nickname, the budget. So that became because she said like, I'm not like the fashion. Easter. Who is really fashionable, but I am very cheap so

He's not on Jimmy Fallon's. You know, the roots are on the house man there. But they all had nice things to say about him. And, ah, That is way way way too young, So I completely agree 47 is so long ago. Now that I've been grateful for the years have had him between. I mean it's That's too

Fox News’ Janice Dean criticizes Gov Cuomo's handling of nursing homes amid the coronavirus pandemic crisis

"Cuomo has been doing a victory lap over the Improved numbers in New York. However, there's a piece in USA Today by Janice Dean. Janice Dean is the Fox news meteorologist. And she said Covert 19 killed my in laws after Cuomo's reckless New York nursing home policy. She said. First didn't blame anybody. This is a pandemic. Then we learn about the policy that put them in danger. She says. Then we learned that Cuomo's administration March 25 order that recovering Corona virus patient be placed into nursing homes. Mandate also borrowed nursing homes from requiring incoming patients to be tested prior to admission, readmission. She says that order state into effect for 46 days, during which time over 6000 patients with the virus replaced in these facilities, housing our most vulnerable To date, at least 6500 of our most helpless seniors have been killed by the virus. Even the governor himself said the virus could sweep through nursing homes like fire through dry grass. She said. We had no idea until it was too late. She says he can't believe it's not a bigger story. She says. It's a puff piece past puff piece. Interview with Good Morning America CBS morning. Today, Tonight show by Jimmy Fallon People magazines to have asking important questions all focused on the governor's love life. She said it was infuriating. The death toll in our senior living facilities in New York, she writes alone, with bigger than 9 11 and Hurricane Katrina combined. Where is the outrage? Cuomo is desperate for a scapegoat.

Peacock is live: Heres everything you need to know

"He caught. The last of the big streaming services has finally launched nationwide, but at joint a crowded room, streaming services, including busy, plus and that Blix. So how does this stack up? I'm Roger, Chang into your daily charge. Beckley I don't have to answer that question because with me. Is Our media expert, John? Salzman and software services. Reviewer Alison. Danisco, welcome both you. Thanks all right so John with you. He is live after having launched in Beta mode to caucus users a couple months ago, so so give us a land now. What is the streaming wards landscape? Look like this is basically the last of the big new services to land at least as far as we know. We had apple and Disney plus come in November than we had depending if you consider it bigger. Bigger not clubby came in April followed by Hbo Max in May, and now finally we have peacock, and it's a little bit different than the rest of those, because it not only is, it has big budget originals big back catalog, like most of those other services do, but it's also doing some other things that are digging a little bit when the others I it has. It's going to have live news. Life sports other sorts of news and sports replays highlights that kind of thing and crucially has a free tear at as a tier with advertising we can watch about two thirds of the catalog just by signing up and not paying anything there are ways you can take out the ads and unlock the full catalogue if you WanNa pay, but having that sort of on ramp that free just sign up and start watching thing. It's something that these other big services in the streets haven't tried yet. Yeah, I would just sort of generally speaking. Have we talked about the free cheering a bit but? In terms of these other players out there have any cover merged as must have service to rebel Netflix's certainly a streaming service, the new streaming service that's landed with the biggest slash by far is Disney plus. One media analyst when it launched last year there was one media analyst and widely followed one who called it one of the greatest product launches of all time. To give you a sense. Track Google search trends around these launch dates, and the Google search trends for Netflix are a good baseline. You know it's established. It's always very popular as a search gives you a good baseline of how other services stack up and people, search addressed most of these other services. They haven't crossed the level of net search interest, even on launch days, whereas Disney plus like quadrupled the amount of Netflix interests on its launch day now it's come down since then, but among these new services Disney is the one to beats, and nobody has even come close so far. Are also you've been testing out the service. How has the experience on Peacock Ben? Overall I've been having a really positive experience with peacock so far to be honest. I wasn't expecting all that much. Since we do already have Sumani streaming services, but the fact that it has this free tier is John mentioned where you can still watch. Tons of movies and TV shows with ADS does make it stand out from competitors like Netflix and Hulu it gives you something for free that similar to say a Pluto TV or a to B, but with this premium streaming. Streaming service interface, so it looks really good, and you also have the opportunity to upgrade if you want to. It's pretty easy to navigate. It has a few quirks, and there are some features that are still missing but overall. It's a solid free surface at launch. If you don't mind watching those ads in terms of that that user experience that the navigation the experience itself. How does it stack up against DISAPP- loss or Netflix's or some other more Polish premium services so in. In my mind, peacock isn't quite trying to be a Netflix or Hulu or HBO Max. It has a similar tile layout, and you can browse things by TV shows and movies and get recommendations, but it's kind of doing something different, and it's probably not going to replace any of those others for you, but it's something you can get for free to have more options. It reminds me a little bit of Amazon prime video in a way like on that one you can get. Get, a lot of shows and movies included as part of your prime subscription, but you'll find others mixed in that. You do have to pay for so on peacock. You'll find some shows with a little purple feather in the corner, which means you have to upgrade premium to watch them, but they're so plenty of free options to. And since we're in this time of economic uncertainty, you know free services a welcome option, even if you don't watch it every single day, right? Joan. Beyond this free tier is there anything else about peacock that makes stand out, or the folks should know about? Yeah, definitely, the frontier is obviously the first thing that people are going to encounter when they try to sign up and they realize they don't have to provide any sort of payment information. Start watching. But beyond that you know. Being in the pandemic, there's a lot of things that peacock wanted to have available right now for its launch that aren't a manifest really until next year or later, for example, the entire reason that it's launching right now in the middle of July is that originally peacock witches, NBC's streaming service thought they'd be able to piggyback on all the interest in the Olympics. That should be happening right now. Is the broadcasting partner for the Olympics in the United States, and so of course everyone remembers every Olympic season how there's just like blanket coverage on NBC. All of NBC's other cable channels. But because we don't have that until next year, that's a huge driver to get people interested and knowledgeable that that the service exists. That just doesn't exist right now. Also their originals. They have nine original series at launch, but just like everybody else all their production of new content. At least any live action content had to be suspended in March, and so they don't have as much in their pipeline. That's going to be ready to release win. They had hoped to release it as have if we weren't in this situation where everybody's lockdown the also could you break down the? Tiers, obviously, there's the free cheer that's at basement. What are you getting with those I? Think there's two different paid tears. He kinda run through them. And you actually get sure so in the free tear you get thirteen thousand hours of TV shows, Movies News Life Sports. Some of the biggest name shows you'll find. There are and Recreation, Thirty Rock, law and order. Order Svu but you know. Some of those are also currently on Netflix and Hulu to so there's some confusion there potentially, and you also know that the office won't be coming to peacock until January when it's calm when his contract with Netflix runs out, but in the meantime you'll also find current episodes of NBC shows one week later on that free tier. In terms of movies, you've got some big slightly older hits like Jurassic Park the Bourne identity, the Matrix and also newer kind of Oscar Z. ones like phantom thread and tally, and so for something. That's free. You'll probably find something. You WanNa Watch, but then you'll also find these two paid tears. One is five dollars a month which gives you access to the full Peacock Library which is about twenty thousand hours of TV, and movies, but you'll still see ads on that one. If you WANNA GO AD free. It costs ten dollars a month and you'll get still get that full libraries well. A few things you'll find on the premium tears, but not the free tier are all of the episodes of peacock originals, the major one launch being brave new world, and you'll also find more new movies and also next day access to new episodes of current. NBC shows one interesting thing that we haven't really seen before is that you'll get early access to some shows like late night with Seth Meyers and the tonight show. Show with Jimmy Fallon the night that they air, so you can watch them at eight PM instead of eleven thirty pm, but that would actually start until those shows are back in the studio and not running from home during the pandemic. Okay We've talked about this before, but they're just too many strips out there. They're all asking for money. Yes, peacock has a free tier, but there's clearly they want people to. Upgrade to these premium tears. How does market support so may services Comey Services? Can a household actually afford to pay for so from the experts that I've talked to and the research that they've been doing? It seems like there's a couple of interesting things going on one is that the total number of streaming services that people are subscribed to and are trying is going up now. That's partially because in the. The pandemic so many entertainment choices that we normally would that normally would keep us from streaming aren't happening right now, and we're all locked up in our homes, and so it's the primary way other than regular TV. Your needs that you would entertain yourself when you're stuck at home anyway, that's to do with it, but even before the pandemic. We were starting to see that all. This wave of new services what starting to tap higher, the amount of services people were trying and also subscribing to. But what we've found in the pandemic from the research that I've seen as that people are also much more willing to cancel subscriptions so. It's mostly price sensitivity factor as you know. Jobless numbers are soaring, and as people are reconsidering howl. They dedicate their money every month. Once they hit the point where a free trial ends or this ends. They're more willing to quit. Because they become more educated on other options that don't require payment that conserve their entertainment needs, you know. Alison, she mentioned to be There's other ones like that. That are free services that peacock sort of straddles the line with people are realizing that they have those options to if they don't WanNa, keep paying

Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes for Blackface & N-Word Sketches

"We are starting today with Jimmy. KIMMEL's all new controversy Jimmy has apologized after multiple impressions of black celebrities. He did years ago went viral. One includes audio of him using the N. Word Imitating Snoop Dogg on a track for a Christmas album in a statement Jimmy apologized for the delay in responding and said that he's sorry to quote those who were genuinely hurt or offended by makeup. He wore or words that he spoke. He adds that he's matured over the past twenty plus years, and won't be bullied now by those trying to silence him acting outrage to advance their oppressive and genuinely racist agendas. Canceled Kimmel was trending when this all broke. How do you guys feel about this? It's one of those things I mean excited. You guys on the phone earlier I'm I'm somebody to that is really i. mean depending on what the circumstances I'm really not for cancelling people especially canceling people based on their actions that they did twenty plus years ago I, also read Jimmy Kimmel's apology and I just felt like for the first time. Somebody really did a good job of explaining sort of where they were, and just their thought process. Do it during that whole time, and just he really took the stand up like look I was imitating. Just famous people in general and I wasn't looking at their skin color. Now on the flip side of that this was done twenty years ago. That still wasn't okay to do, but as he said you know, he's evolved over the twenty plus years. He's matured. It's something that I'm sure if he had to do was faced with the decision like that again tomorrow, he wouldn't do it but i. just think we need to be a little bit lenient with people, and and just not always resort to cancel culture. I think there should be a statue of limitations when it comes to people bringing up things because in kid. Tell me that the things that I said twenty years ago. You know we'll come back to haunt me and ruined my life now, but I will say before we start canceling. People I want to make people understand and I say this all the time. If I say something here on daily Pop, there are four people who watch this show to make sure it can go to air sometimes, even more than that, so somebody saw that joke. Somebody approved the sketch. Someone signed off on the budget to get hair and makeup to paint him from head to toe, so if one head will roll, you need to ask for four more. We yeah, we said that the other day. Yeah, and I think when people missed up. I think the initial reaction is like Why and there's you know there's disappointment? But if we canceled every single person who has had a mistake, we would be hypocrites because humans. We mess up their things that we aren't aware of during the time, and I'm not excusing the behavior, but I feel like sometimes if we aren't held accountable, that's when the poor behavior continues, but I think. If you own up to it, you take the time to reflect to step back and do the hard work, and you just you come back in it with just a better perspective and a promise to do better, and he backed that up with your actions. Then I can support that but yeah. I think it's. Called out mistakes and you repeatedly make those same mistakes. That's when it is unforgivable. You did say you said accountable. You said being accountable. I will say. I thought he was suspect Jimmy. Kimmel had announced that he was going away for the summer. My mind went to snap. What's about to come back? Had Jimmy lest his show and not brought this up after Jimmy. Fallon not only apologized for what he did, but sat with Don Lemon and talked about how it could be hurtful to people, if Jimmy Kimmel had just fled the scene, and not said anything. We cancel his ass and he did say that. That his summer was planned years prior, and he will have the summer breaks and that he's not coming back until September so I mean I. Don't know I think this was on his mind. Though Amiss everything that's been going on I feel like he did have some. You know some idea that this would surface i. don't think it's suspect I. do think he's vacation was planned. I mean we know what it takes to go on vacation here like. Requires some planning, but I also just think I want to say one last thing about cancel. Culture is the people that you know Ho- hop onto this Hashtag. Unfortunately are just people who wanNA. Cancel people for the sake of cancelling them. They're not even really focusing on on the reasons behind it, and that's why I'm so against

Apogee HypeMIC takes off... thanks to Jimmy Fallon

"Start today I want to tell you about. A company called Apogee which makes microphones and other audio gear, and how the Cova crisis nearly did him in but boy. They're doing great now. It is more orders for microphones than it can handle. I'm Jefferson Graham. You're listening to talking tech. Apogee was founded in one, thousand, nine, hundred, five by Betty Bennett and two friends initially to offer audio patches to improve sound Ben. It is the husband of legendary sound engineer Bob Clear Mountain who did the mixing for Bruce Springsteen's born in the USA album and the Rolling Stones Tattoo, you but apogee was Bennett's who now runs the company solely one of the few women owned businesses in a very male dominated. Dominated Industry. The company quickly got a reputation for its high performance audio, which is on display at apple stores and used by many top musicians. So when the pandemic hit apogee was told to close its business down temporarily and Bennett was forced to send her employees home. Things looked really bad then she got a call from Saturday night live. The cast was going to put on a TV show from home and dated and microphones. Everyone could figure out how to use so she sent the hype. Mike Three hundred and fifty dollars is way more expensive than the fifty or one hundred dollar marks that you've heard me talk about here, but the sound is so much better. The company tells me. Plus it can connect to the USB port on a computer or directly into smartphones and tablets, and you don't need to be an engineer to figure out how to use it. So the SNL show went well then the tonight show called Jimmy. Fallon needed a mike for his home show, so apogee sent him a height Mike to then apogee started getting orders from all over the musicians who needed a way to dramatically improve. There's Zoom Lens sessions because as you know, musicians or not performing in concert. They're just doing live shows online. Bennett went back in started. Shipping Mike's personally the county of Los, Angeles said she could reopen. Because it was now an essential business, and now as I said, apogee can't feel orders fast enough.

"fallon" Discussed on The Ken Coleman Show

"Wow so if writing that kind of impact on our cells on our biology. Why would this be an activity that would restrict from certain people and say like only these people are allowed to Ryan? And these people don't get to do it. It doesn't mean we gotta take away from this. If you want to be a professional writer you've always be right right right right right right right right now. Let me ask you this. Because by the way I forgive you the links to her website Alison Fallon Dot Com. It's why I called you. Alison a moment ago. Get your website. She's allison but you are but I. I want people guarantees. I think you're going to say this. So I'M GONNA put this out as a qualifier to this question. No guarantees people to work. Okay and they gotTa have some talent. They work with somebody like you couple. You're gonNA figure out what their talent level is what they can do to grow. But how big of a accelerator is trying to do it on your own the way you did it. Yeah versus getting coaching getting in a community of other writers. We have had clients. Tell us that they have struggled for years. Three years five years sometimes ten years on what they're working on and then in three months they've gotten more progress than they have in years and the same is true for me honestly so. I talked about those early days of packing. Light writing without an outline. Not Knowing what I was doing and then after packing light publishes when I created the process that I use now at find your voice and my that first manuscripts took me three miserable years to write struggle struggle struggle and then my second book where I implemented my own process and I didn't even have outside help. I just had the process that I had created. I wrote in ten days while same length. Same number of words better book in my opinion and I wrote intended so it doesn't have to take as long as some people think this I think sometimes creative people get this idea that like the longer struggle the better the end product. And it's true. I want a second thought. Yeah no question about it. Some of the talks are ideas that I'll share. The radio are the ones that that really stick are the ones that just hit me at a stop light or don't know in the car or something like that. I didn't sit there and going to come up with something really good to say you know what I mean. Like to come up with something good has to be like. I got to write something really great today. I'm like it's so true. It's just oh my gosh. Okay so I want you to encourage people to okay. I WANNA be Alley. I WANNA be a professional writer. My Gosh I got some debt right. I'm Dave Ramsey's baby step. I got three kids. Two of them. Are Preschool got one in the secondary like life is a common Adam? How would you practically occurs? I think you said a lot of things with like it's almost like I want you to give up step to come through how they can get where you are today okay so step. One is carved out time in your life for writing even if five minutes a day so the research shows twenty minutes a day for four days in a row. That was the study that showed you improved. Physical health price such a dramatic amount so And the studies have been done around mental and emotional health as well. People are more likely to report being in a better mood there. There's a whole list of studies. I could go through but twenty minutes a day. Four days in a row is what those studies showed and the results lasted for up to twelve months. So so you could feasibly for just four days twenty minutes at a time car about that much time and then you could wait a few months and do it again but what I tell people is if you don't have twenty minutes a day if that seems impossible and I think for a lot of people who've got kids and a demanding job other responsibilities. Twenty minutes is a huge commitment. And you're trying to get to the gym and work out and what other ever you know. Do all the healthy things. This is one of those healthy things. I think it's going to a really incredible benefit in your life but you can create even five minutes first thing in the mornings or at some point in your day. That kind of kicks you off and if you can put on your calendar or whatever scheduling system that you use and just make it a priority. Then that's step one is really just carving out the time to get the writing done and then the second. The problem people run into at that point then is they. Sit Down to the page. And they're like okay. I've made my time. Now what do I do Words come forth. Yeah totally and that's it can be really intimidating and just like if you're trying to get back into going the gym for the first time that intimidation factor is usually what people it makes people. Just go okay forget it. I'm I wasn't born to be a writer so I guess I'll just opt out Can I teach people ashore? Prompt hitting me. Okay please. So this is the prompt that I give to people. I call it the infinity prompt because you can use it over and over and over again and we'll always give you fresh content to write about so I don't know what to write about. You can use what I call the infinity. Prompt and there's really four simple steps to the infinity. Prompt the first step is easiest. And that's to choose. An event were an issue from your life. That feels charged that you want to write about and Char by charged. I mean that. It's got some electricity in your body so it could be something as small as this dude. Cut me off on the way to work today and it really irritated me and I got upset and I don't know why upset at so upset. That was really weird or it can be something really big. Maybe from your past like a beef that you have with a parent or something and or maybe you lost a loved one and you don't like you still feel like there's some charge like you haven't fully processed at her grief debt so can be anything from a small thing to a big thing so picking event this charged and then three separate things to write about it and this prompted by the way is based on the research about what kind of writing actually helps us longer to heal and grow so first step is to write the facts of the situation so to write down exactly what happened and try to use as many sensory words as possible so think about what actually took place what what did you see. What did you smell? Who was there? What were they doing with their hands? How did you know he was angry? People will say he was angry at my cottage you know. Did he raise his voice? What was he doing with this arms? What did he advanced toward you? So making sure that you're really specific about those things With as much since retail as possible. Just explain the facts of the situation and then the second step is to explain your thoughts about the situation so When I say thoughts I just mean like how did you interpret what happened? And then the final step is to write your feelings about the situation. So how did it make you feel when this happened or that happened? And what will inevitably as you start to use the infinity. Prompt is you'll get confused about what we're facts and what thoughts and feelings and that's a good thing that means the prompt is working and you'll be like was that something I thought. Was that how I felt or was that a fact. I'm not sure and it means the prompt is working and let the prompt take you wherever it's going to take you and right for five minutes and you might right for. You might schedule five minutes and you might end up writing for fifteen or twenty and you can literally use this over and over and over like my sister called last night and we had the weirdest conversation I couldn't figure out what was going on with her and her tone was really what was her town. What's a word that would describe her talk? And it will force you to get more specific in your language. And then you'll be like she was so frustrated and then you're like how do. I know she was frustrated. Is that a factor. Was that a feeling and it gives you some. Oh yeah that's because what you're doing is you're just getting the brain to do what is supposed to do. Yes it'll just take off totally. You're giving us a construct. That's really good. That's really really really good. Well Final word from you if you were sitting now with everybody's watching and listening to this interview those who wanted to be a writer Or they just wanted to launch a business. Because you're both you're not familiar. You're right I love that. I love the Combo and they're just consumed by fear doubt. Just listen to. My heart is telling us what to do. But I'm not doing it and doing it. What would you say either way whether you're trying to step into a writing career or whether you're trying to make other steps in your career as an entrepreneur writing regularly on a daily basis will show you those fears and it will show you what you need to do to overcome those fears? Writing is a mirror and it just mirrors you back to yourself. You will not show up to the page for very long without seeing the truth of yourself and it's why people stop writing stop writing because they don't WanNa see the truth of themselves anymore. We'd rather live in our delusion right. I'm perfect and I've got it all worked out and when you start to write you realize oh. I'm actually really. I'm lacking confidence in this area or I'm really afraid to ask that person for a favor or I don't really believe in my idea. What's that about. Where did that come from? Or I've got this inner critic in my head that's telling me I'm an idiot and I shouldn't even try. You failed at everything before. Where did that voice come from Lewis? Whose VOICES THAT. It's not mine and writing will help you to process through some of those things and you'll be shocked at the way that just implementing this regular practice of writing in your life. You're going to start to see movement. I talked about before. How writer's block is life block and the great news about that is when you get unstuck in your writing. Get stuck in your life. Oh my gosh so the takeaway for me folks among all of the practical things that everyone is a writer. Everybody and you've got to be writing whether you want to pursue a professional or not. "There was ripe to commercials before you would actually come spent we take five five or six right and he engineered it like it was a real song for five hours. It must be the best engineered song of all time. I don't I can't remember what it was. That wasn't the one would stop was it. We don't even remember. That's the thing it's just. I gotta go back in the archives and spent time in that one but but then the back to the Phil Collins. This thing 'cause he ended up nearly at on when you see it on TV because all Banda pack a lot for people to to to tear that that to me need that that was a moment I mean I love that I love Jim James. I was from late night. I love that. That's why he did another life with all of his presentations. Whenever James Names comes on I also liked win. You guys can when the roots come on and we spend extra time like making a production and it's actually It's almost like a music video or musical musical. Yeah my three moments from that. I don't know why once I realized that we had a lot of I didn't realize the power of how dave is director Dave in and directing in doing tricks and all those things I thought like I wonder how we could pull off a song that makes us look like. We're playing in slow motion. Like the Beastie boys do yeah like so what you want. Video is like the the the impetus of it like of them performing and you hearing the song real time but it's like them doing it slow motion so when us it was on the show. Yep In our news going to confuse the audience like we had to do that. Usher Song like chipmunks dancing really super fast and and he in. He caught like he was dancing. That's the thing I thought like. Do you need to practice this like do you need to. How did he do the splits? It everything looks so weird and so you're almost laughing at Adam right. You're then when you watch it. It was oh it's magical duties like slow-motion. Doing the perfect dance moves and singing on the on the radio. Exactly right. Yeah it was insane. I was a that was a cool moment. Yeah the second time Tyler Tyler. The Creator See you again and he created. Yeah this it was almost good. Surreal musical but it's it's to me. That was like a moment.

And they go, well, we'll set you up. The guys do roller coasters. So I okay. So I met with these guys. Hey, I was thinking universal. I could do a talk show ride and they were like, no go, okay, thanks for meeting. And then late night was going well, and then I got the tonight show and that was doing well. You go up into space at one point, you're on the moon. It's so funny smell pizza by Petri and you smell pizza. You get wet. It's just like the most exciting, exciting right. Ever in. We're going to give you an Elvis Durant shirt, and we're going to ruin for you're gonna have to. Okay. They're amazing. I'm at work right now in today's my son's first three and I can't be there with him. This really meet up for things you much. Worth of net and a t shirt you want. That's that many Cooper we have in the garage downstairs. Hold on one second. Put it on hold before. She says, yes. Well, listen, thank you for listening. Vanessa. She goes to bed with Jimmy Fallon, wakes up with us. All of that. I let's go around the room. This is a very, very special day. I want to start with you producer Sam. What's on your mind today? Found the very best way to prepare for Jimmy Fallon coming in. I was super excited. Last night couldn't get to sleep, so I decided to go to my neighborhood grocery store and I picked up a pint of that ice cream. He has the tonight though, and I finished the entire thing in the name of prepping for work tonight, though the tonight, though it was so good and I feel more emotionally prepared for. Can you imagine having your own ice cream named after you put it this way? Think about it don't enter yet if there was an ice cream named after you, what would it be called? Think it through. What's on your mind today? Froggy I had the most unscreened night last night ever God here. I went to dinner by myself at Wolfgang's over on Greenwich. I took a shower. I was in bed by eight thirty. That sounds like a late night new year had the most unscreened night ever. I was a dinner by myself. I was in bed early, getting scary with other people, and he'd never goes to bed before midnight, eight hours of sleep. Last night. I don't even know what this feels like. You look a little awake. I know, right? Which is so odd. Hey, what's up? Scary yesterday had a non froggy nightmare yesterday being nine, eleven a day of service and a day of giving. I decided to clean out all my closets and give all my old close to a homeless shelter, but I figured why stop there? Why should just yesterday be the day of giving wasn't? Yes, they'd be the day of service. Why don't we continue this on like we did in those original days after point, once you take off, which wearing now take it on down, haven't you. No, not at all. Scary. That's very good point. Don't wait till Christmas day to give gifts do it year round. And I'm saying, hey, what's up today? Denis binging a lot of our podcast. So I've been listening to the Brooklyn voice scaring buddy, buddy. Scary, right? They do this thing called the grammar police, and I didn't realize that in the background with the music, there's a police car that goes. I pulled over yesterday. I don't win the hell is it? I'm like, where's the police officer? And I'm like, what did I do? I didn't do anything. The did. You know, Daniel funny you mentioned that and old radio rules and laws. I don't know if it's still the same. It's a legal on the radio to play the sound of a siren. I didn't know that you're listening to a podcast different, but they're saying you cannot play a siren on the radio because people will think there's an emergency and also you cannot use the letters s and then s which I just used. But I use them in example form because those the old school way of saying there's an emergent. All right. So if you hear radio station playing a siren call, the police. All right, let's get in your horoscopes. All right. So it is to change birthday today. Happy birthday there. Kappa corn. Your desire to escape from responsibility is stronger than ever going on an adventure just, but.

"You know something we you know we we uh we think of for example uh uh jimmy fallon in his so you know his uh how he has become you know somebody who's a talk show host a comedian has become over the last month or so something that the left has looked to was sort of a leader you mean jimmy kimmel not fallon why said guy said fallon kimmel yeah but one of the jimmy sia fallon's not a leader yet gender jimmy kimmel i am i apologize to jimmy fallon i bought sites jimmy fallon for going and jimmy kimmel are don't jimmy kimmel for calling him whatever the whichever the apologies for the right just put the apology where you want it to go uh but you know a again he looked at it and said i judge health care because of my child and the emotion behind my child that's what it was about that was i mean of in his own words right if you if you look what he was but he was like that that's how that's how we did it people looked at it they sympathised with him and said oh poor jimmy fallon therefore he is correct when when she talks about the fact that what has happened is these kids now getting to college have no sense of history of any kind no sense of history no world geography no sense of the violence and barbara rights of history they think that the whole world has always been like this a kind of nice comfortable world where you can go to the store and get orange juice in male and you can turn on the wall water in the hot water comes out they have no sense whatever of the destruction of the great civilizations that rose and fell and so on and how arrogant people get when they're in a comfortable situation and now they've been taught to look around them and see the defects in america which is a free country in the world and feel that somehow america's the source of all evil in the universe now now i look at that and say absolutely but that's only part of it the other part is economics as she brought there you know they the the stuff's in the store or the orange juice zero the milk as there whatever they just assume that's a given.
