Mister gold scene is licensed in north carolina south carolina and georgia and is conducting polygraph examinations for over a decade as this episode goes on. You may wonder why. The pain away skate the pain away. Esselin what we did is built huge half pipe in the gym because apparently teams really like skateboarding. And what i did was before you can drop in meaning you know before you can actually skateboard on it. I would do a within. And we would just as god to take away the pain in their life and replace it with grace. It was just so moving halley. I'm glad it was a success. It really was. You know we did have nine broken bones. Which kind of a disappointment. Because i guess a lot of them had never even skateboarded before in this big half pipe. But you know. I really do think they took a leap of faith and that is important confirmed. I
The Art of Releasing Your Faith
"For practical example. The bible says this is what faith faith is the title deed. It's the confirmation. It's the proof that i have what god says i can have and it doesn't matter if i don't see it if i can't feel it i've got it and really the truth does is this right. Here is our title deed to every promise of god it is written in. That faith is a creative force if actually goes out into the spirit realm when you pray and you say and you add that obedient action that faith words are powerful and they got into the spirit realm and they start releasing. The power of gotten things begin to happen. Let's just take for a minute. My life are you can take any one of your lives. I've actually been a christian for a long long time. I received christ when i was nine years old. But i didn't know anything i was. I never had any education. I wasn't permitted to go to church and lived in the midst of tremendous unbeliev. So i didn't really ever understand what i had. But i look back now and i know that that god was with me and the thing you have to understand is when you receive. Christ he comes to stay with you. He said i will never leave you nor forsake you but low. I'll be with you. Always even unto the ends of the earth and i was in a terrible mess and my childhood and just had so many devastating things happen to me. Sexual abuse verbal abuse abandonment betrayal. Just one after another. So let's just let it suffice to say that. By the time. I was young adult. I was just really messed up. I married the first guy that came along when i was eighteen. He had a lot of problems that lasted five years and it was just another five-year nightmare than i finally met dave meyer. And we've been married for now. Forty three years.
S6 E9 - How to identify what you are passionate about
"This is the we served now. What podcast and if you're anything like me you've had a ton of questions after leaving the military and the lack of answers has left you frustrated and probably a little confused. This show is here to help you make sense of the craziness that is post military life so you can turn your post military life into your best life. Money was aaron perkins a. Us army combat veteran husband to a beautiful wife. Daddy to amazing kiddos and on this episode of the show. I want to talk to you about identifying your passion in life and how you do that. That's a big question. I think we all have even if we haven't put into so many words like how do identify my passion in life. It's like well aaron. Who are you to talk about identifying passion. Well number one. I've identified my own number two. I developed a process to do just that net processes called the nine line framework which i put into the book called resolve. That is just a step by step guide for you. The veteran to help you to rediscover purpose meaning and you guessed it. Passion in your post military life before i dive into the episode today. I want to take a few minutes until you a little story. I myself love stories. I love hearing them. And i love telling them and this story is really near and dear to my heart because it's about my son. His name is christopher and you may have heard me talk about him on the show before But this story. I've never actually shared on the show because actually just happened about a week or two ago and my son christopher almost twelve years old. he's a normal kid. Not a huge fan of school. Really good in school gets really good grades Does everything well is i. I don't know if i would say popular. But you know people like him he. He's just a normal kid. And he. And i we have this unique Father son relationship. I mean we joke around a lot. We have a very very similar Sense of humor. So we have memes that will share back and forth and that's actually across our entire family that we can laugh at together and everything but this story about his passion for video games. Now you might be thinking well yeah. He's eleven year old boy. eleven year. Old kid boy girl the one but he's eleven year old kid and he loves video games. Yeah what kid doesn't we're here's the thing. He is not just passionate about video games. He is passionate about tech in school and his technical classes studying python programming language. He studying java script and his his his little techy and he loves the technical aspect of it. Well there's this that he has for one of his platforms. And it's called beets saber. You may have heard of it. It's on playstation four for vr. And it's on oculus quest to In fact every year. we're pretty much every year. We get a family gift at christmas and this past year. The family gift that we all could use was the oculus quest to and that is a a virtual reality gaming system. That's fully wireless but the headset on. Hold the controllers and you could just play play games fun and while he has been absolutely just going nuts over this thing having so much fun with it. Well again. this game beats saber. You can create your own levels if you modify the game and there is no right or wrong i should. There is a right or wrong way to do it but there is no manual that you can look at and say okay. This is how you modify find the game. So he gets on discord. he's he finds Some experts who know about modifying the game he chats with him for hours. Some of some of them are as friends he's he's played games with everything and he's talking to them. Like how do i modify this game. What do i need to do. He figures out the programs. He needs to us figures out how to roll the game back to a previous edition. Now he knows how to launch the game with these modifications so he can play his own levels on the game. Keep in mind. This had nothing to do with school this nothing to do with any requirement. This was just something that he wanted to do something that he is naturally gifted at and naturally naturally passionate about and that is that's what that's one of the things i wanna point out here. Today is your passion in life is most likely going to be something that you are naturally geared toward you are naturally good at and maybe even it may even be something that you have spent a lot of time practicing and preparing at and you've spent a lot of time working on developing that skill. It could be anything from woodworking to the medical field to an to. I'm the the passion ideas for your life are virtually endless. But you heard me referenced. The nine line framework earlier. And as i look at this nine line framework. You know again. It's it's this step by step guide. It is the process that helps you rediscover passion in your life after the military. And i look at these these lines in here. These chapters and the storage is told about my son. I can see him in these chapters. I can see how his passion is coming out just in the things that he is naturally doing now in the last episode i mentioned and talked about quite a bit actually line four. Which is what is my personality type. you know. why does it matter. And it's not even so much. Why does it matter. But how does that. Impact me and my passion and my purpose for life. And so i'm going to touch on line for a little bit today but i want to give you some examples from line five later in the show about discovering that passion in your life but line four again i used sixteen personalities dot com. You can go there right now. You can take this free assessment to figure out to learn what your personality type is and again that is not the only tool you can use you. Can use myers briggs. You can use the disk assessment. There are so many tools you can use to figure out your personality because in the military unless you are you had a way different experience than i did. They really ask you. What your what your passion was or even more specifically. They didn't ask what your personality was. Just said hey here the jobs you can pick from pick a job do your job and then you go your military career and you get out and now you're here listening to this show and saying man. How do identify my passion in life. What is it that i am passionate about. How do i find that. Well you'll hear me say this more than once. Pick up a copy of the resolve book. That is really your first step to figuring out your passion and your purpose and your meaning in your life after the military but again light for just goes over. What is your personality type. It walks you through that process of discovering who you are and who you're meant to be and line five asks another question it says what do i have to offer. And that's very specific to you. What do you have to offer the world. Because i believe that. A life focused on making a difference in the world as a life worth living. I think that's really what we're all after is that we want to make a difference. Maybe it's just in our own personal lives. Maybe it's in the lives of our friends or family or our church or our school whatever it may be or or if your teacher may be your students you want to make that positive impact and so line five walks you through that process of figuring out what it is that you have to offer so coming up after the break. That's what i'm going to talk about. I'm gonna share some examples and walk you through blind five and sharing this for free and you can pick up a copy of the book on amazon or on kerr's to fight again dot com but i'm gonna share the the line five here with you and some examples that can help you figure out what it is you are passionate about in your life. That's after the break. Stay with us. Many americans today. Don't realize the stress and anxiety they feel is most likely because of their finances according to bankrate.com more than six out of ten people couldn't cover a one thousand dollar emergency seven out of ten. Don't budget regularly. An eight out of ten are living paycheck to paycheck to these describe you. Are you ready to live like others. Can't too many make the mistake of budgeting their lifestyle instead of budgeting their basic needs. I my friend. Marco over at mc business lab has a simple process to automate the basic things. You need to live and then never looking at one of those bills again. Head over to live like others can't dot com to get on the wait list for his own line course to learn this automation skill. That will significantly reduce your stress and anxiety. And if you think one on one attention could be the way for you. You can also schedule your free consultation with marco once again that's live like others can't dot com get on the path to your dream life today all right so as we go into these examples. I want you to have an open. Mind here right some of these examples. You may not even thought of. But i i want you to keep in mind that some of these may not apply to you. Some of the may apply to you perfectly but before we get into those examples and went to review. Read you this quote from a retired general martin. Dempsey actually had him on the show. A few seasons ago A great conversation. You can go check that out. He talks about you know continuing to provide leadership in your post military life again. If you don't know years he is the former or the lissi would number was of eighteenth chairman of the joint chiefs of staff and so again great guy. We had a great conversation. Should go check that out. But i want to read you a quote. He said sometimes we wait for thunderclaps drum rolls and clearly on calls to alert us to what's important when actually it's most often the subtle and persistent signals around us. That make the most difference. I want you to think about that for a minute when you think about your passion and life and what. You are naturally geared toward what are those subtle and persistent signals. So in in the book. I talk about the subtle and persistent signal. I got even as a child as a teenager. Really that writing is something i am. Naturally gifted at is something. I'm naturally good at in fact My mother found a poem that i had written She was cleaning. My room was teenagers. Don't ask me why she was cleaning my room and she didn't make me do it but i'm very grateful for her but she was cleaning my room and she comes into the room and she sees this poem that i wrote and when i get home from school she asked me about it. She says hair. Where did you copy this phone for. Almost didn't copy it. I wrote it. And i'm all of a sudden proud of myself because see my mother had always been this voracious reader with a strong command of the english language so hearing her say something like that. Which implied the poem was of this incredibly high quality right. It has stuck with me to this day. That aaron you you're naturally gifted at that and that the poetry. It wasn't anything i had to do. It was something i had in my head and maybe even my heart and just wrote it down. It was something. I felt naturally wrong to do. Just like my son was naturally drawn to develop this modification for this game and figure out all the additional software he needed and how to modify it and how to play the game afterward. I was actually drawn to writing so in that case even though my son and i we get along great and we have great father son relationship were way different as far as our passions. Go and that's okay. It's the thing is my. My writing skills are they. Were constantly improving through my life and the funny thing is even as i wrote the book wonder like am i the most qualified person to to write this book. Maybe maybe i am gifted at writing right. Maybe i am good at this. But am i the most qualified person and so why do i tell you this right. I tell you this. Because i want you to realize something that i'm still learning myself. The skills you have are probably around eighty percents better than you actually think. I want to say that again. The skills that you have are probably around eighty percent better than you actually think. Now what are get the eighty percent number. You know statistically they say what is seventy. Six percent of statistics are made up on the spot. I will say this. Evidence is more inaccessible and nature. But the things you are passionate about. You are geared toward learning more about it it just this natural thing. It's not something that you can really force. Can you learn things and learn more about Passions in your life. of course. you can't can you learn how to take care of the zales in your garden or in your new hangar. The year rose garden right. Is rose garden on. That makes sense but i looked at my window and saw zulia so i i mentioned it so it. Can you learn about that. Scher will you be passionate about it. Maybe you can develop a passion for it but passionate in your life is is this area of your life. That's built in. Its this natural part view. And so where do you go from here right. What are those examples that promised you a before we get into those examples. I want to share with you just a few questions that you can write down to ask yourself and you can kind of fill these out like to help you figure out where you go from here and figure out what it is you have to offer the world so the first question goes right along the lines of my story. I just told about not only about my son but about myself. I have always been good at blank. Fill in the blank there. What is it that you have always been good at something. That seems easy for you for me. It was english and grammar and for my son. Tech is easy for him. Technologies easy for him super easy a he is are basically our systems administrator at the house. he knows so much about For my daughter the things she is naturally good at and she finds easy music. She finds that incredibly easy from wife. She finds the medical field incredibly easy to pick up on. And it's not because it's not challenging to learn it's because we have a passion for those particular things in our lives. Here's a second question you can ask yourself. I don't know why. But i really just enjoy doing the following things and then list those things what things that you do really bring you joy for me. It's writing it's crafting something from nothing. It's looking at this blank page and putting words on it and impacting the world with a those words. And let's see what's the next one number three this. This is kind of long ones. All probably read it a couple of times. I never thought about what. I'm naturally good at and what i enjoy until what so for this question. Think of a time your life in which our knowledge or skills or ability was needed. Think of a time when you were able to use it and you suddenly realized that brought you joy so i to read that one again and explain that a little more. I never thought about what. I'm naturally good at and what i enjoy until this particular event in my life. I never thought about me being really good at writing until my mother when i was fourteen. Fifteen years old picked up that poland in my room and said hey this is really good. Where did you copy this from. I never thought about that. My son may not have ever thought about how good he is attack. Until i pointed it out and said dude that is amazing that you figure that out on your own you contact the experts in and you did everything needs to do on your own and so when you think we think of that like okay. I never thought about what i'm naturally good at. And what i enjoy until a particular event in your life and you think about when your knowledge or your skills or abilities were needed and and then you say okay. I was able to use it at that point in my life and then you suddenly realize man that made me feel really good. That brought me joy. That was dare. I say it fun and a lot of times. We as adults we. We tend to tend to think like well. You know i'm an adult. I don't need to have funding more. I shouldn't be having fun anymore. I'm more focused on business and and making money taking care of my family. Those are all great things but at the end of the day passion following that passion pursuing that passion your life a lot of times what it feels like is fun just a lot of fun number four thing. You can ask yourself. I was able to make a difference in a person's life by using one or more of my unique abilities which not only made a difference but it brought me joy as well and the question is list those skills or abilities that you use to impact someone's life or to make a difference in the world for me. They'll be writing for my son that might be tech my daughter that might be music for my wife that might be the medical field. So there's so many things that again virtually unlimited number of things where you can find passion in your life and it's those things that you are naturally geared toward they. Here's a few examples. I'm going to review these for you just to give you a sense of where you can find passion in your life and don't get caught up on the stories themselves. I want you to imagine yourself. What is it that you personally find your passionate about. Here's example number one. I was a cormon in the navy. And i learned a lot about helping others in times of medical crisis. I found so much joy. In this. I knew my job well and i knew i was making a difference. Pretty simple right pretty direct and so this person says hey. I knew what i was doing was making a difference. And i found joy in it. Here's another really good one along the video games. A video games idea. I love playing video games call of duty fortnight minecraft you name it. I get a sense of joy out of playing them and truth be told. I'm pretty good at it. My unique personality which i found in line for which i now understand. It equips me well as a teacher and so a combined those elements to start a video game players club in my community. We get together. We eat snacks. Play video games. Hold tournaments and get to know each other better. It's such a great time. And i love it. So being a woman in the navy versus playing video games way different right but still these people can find passion in these things see. Here's a here's another one very a very hands on example. I've never really enjoyed school or sitting in the classroom. But one thing i do enjoy working with my hands getting my hands dirty now that i know my unique personality type again that he learned in line for i understand more about wild like this type of work and why i tend to dislike sitting in the classroom. I love solving problems. I distinctly remember one time when my elderly neighbors toilet was leaking. She asked me. If i knew someone who could help and gladly volunteered myself. I checked out the situation figured out what. The problem was unseated. The toilet installed a new wax ring and reseeded the toilet. She was so grateful. And i had fixed a problem for her. I felt really good about myself. That's huge The the the What do you call it. The joy the inner joy that comes from making a positive difference in someone else's life is absolutely huge. Now here's here's the last example share with you because we're running up on time but this one. I really liked this one. Because i have a dog. I love my dog and a lot of you probably have pets as well but this one says. I am a pet whisper. Yes it may sound silly to some. But i have an incredible heart for dogs cats birds and just about any other animal who is suffering or quote unquote down on their luck. In fact i have adopted two dogs and two cats. I've them better lives. This has been so rewarding to me and it is a passion. I continue to pursue. See the thing is there is not one specific passion that we are all going to find fulfilling the passion in your life is going to be your own. Here's the last thing. I want to share with you how we are built as humans. We're designed to live our best life in the context of relationships with other people. I to say that again as humans. We're are designed to live our best lives in the context of relationships with other people. You know chances are we're not all going to be billionaires or a world famous politicians. Are you know billboard topping musicians but we can all make a difference when we find that passion in our lives. We all have a lot of questions but the most important question you can ask yourself is this have. I accepted the forgiveness of sins. That only comes through faith in jesus christ. I hope you enjoyed this episode. Hope it's been helpful for you and that you've learned at least a little bit about identifying that passion in your life again you can pick up a copy of the resolve book at courage to fight again dot com or on amazon and i will share those links in the show notes as i typically do. Leave us a review. I tunes at definitely helps so much. Of course follow social media kurds. Finding in dot com is our website. Thank you so much for listening. We will see you next time.
What to Do When You Can't Find God
"Several years ago i read a book by a j swoboda called the dusty ones in it. He shares a story about his from high school whose name was stew. Stew met jesus through his friendship with jay and they quickly became zealous. An excited together. They read the bible. They prayed in front of lockers. And stu felt close to god in those days will soon. Aj lost touch after graduation as often happens in about ten years later they reconnected and that was when aj learned that statue no longer called himself a christian because once he went off to college he stopped feeling the presence of now. I'm not here to debate the reality of stews relationship with god or the validity of his conversion or even the role of feelings as they mix with our faith. But what i do wanna talk about. Is this experience. That many friends of jesus either have gone through are going through or will go through and that is the experience of the loss of the felt presence of god. The truth is we won't always feel god's presence. I know some believers who say they've never really felt god's presence. I don't want that to be true but it is true. The good news is this is nothing new. For generations and generations christians have wandered through the wilderness have walked through. The valley of the shadow have navigated life in the midst of difficulty loss and seemingly impossible circumstances. If you are walking through your own wilderness right now. You are not alone even if you feel alone. Saint john of the cross called his experience of not feeling god's presence a dark night of the soul martin. Luther called it. The scandal of god's hidden nece and barbara brown taylor in her book learning to walk in the dark. She says no. One chooses the dark knight. The dark night descends.

Senate Republicans Outline Their Own Infrastructure Plan
"Is looking to pass one of its major legislative priorities The American jobs plan. Democrats say they want to have bipartisan support on the bill, but the White House may end up using the process of budget reconciliation. Past the package without any Republican support. Jackie Heinrich reports on Republicans counterproposal to the infrastructure plan. It's a far cry from two trillion but the White House says it's a start. We certainly welcome any good faith effort and certainly see this is that Senate Republicans unveiled a counter offer to the American jobs plan. A $568 billion blueprint with the section defining what in their view infrastructure is on roads and bridges. The GOP more than doubles President Biden's proposal 299 billion up from 150. They also dedicate more money to modernizing airports. 44 billion up from 25. While they included funding for broadband. There's no money for electric vehicles, efforts to combat climate change or funding to expand social services. Like elder care, President Biden said he is willing to negotiate with Republicans on the size and scope of his roughly $2 trillion infrastructure plan. As Fort
Christian College Offers Online Course on Global Warming
"Brian webb wants more conservative. Christians get involved in climate action to is really missing the ball on this. We are not actively engaging with what is one of the most complicated and important issues facing humanity. Today web is the sustainability director at houghton college a small christian college in new york state this spring. He's teaching an online class. Called god and climate change that helps. Christians engage with global warming to reach people who may be skeptical. the course starts with the common ground. Faith this idea of god made the world and called it. Good this idea. Jesus says that the two most important things you can do is love god and love your neighbors. Well how are we loving. God if we are intentionally disregarding and trashing the world that he has made and how are we love our neighbors if we're not proactively working to care for the ways that they're being impacted by the climate crisis. The course also includes climate science and features guest lecturers who are experts in their fields. Houghton college is made the class available to the public for free and web says when it ends. The class recordings will be available online. The topic is too important to not get it out there in front of people as widely as possible.
Is Sitting Still Slowly Killing Us?
"Pizza walker your political journalist for the guardian. How did you become interested in inactivity. It's society security through. I mean there's two reasons one of which is a few years ago. I worked book about cycling and part of that was looking into the problem of inactive lifestyles of just early deaths. The estimate is in the uk. Kills one hundred thousand people year. And i was completely shocked to find out quite how dangerous and how widespread inactive living. But there's also a kind of postal reason to it's fair to say that. When i was growing up i was a bit from brunt i had asthma quite quite badly and i kind of didn't have a lot of faith in my body and as happens with a lot of people you know but the time was twelve fifty and fourteen. I kind of stopped doing most activity. Most spoilt wouldn't even ride the bike or anything like that. What else about twenty two for reasons. I still punk quite fully understand on sunday to give up my job which involved just sitting and that's eight nine hours a day to become a cycle courier when those people who kind of in that largely pre email paired with just pick up packages office than cyclamen to another one as quickly as they could. It's fair to say the first few weeks the first few months of quite difficult but transformation was enormous partly and just the way it looks now felt but the most important thing was this kind of assumption at a with growing up in my body was kind of substandard. Really be much good. If put the test was shed in the mental effects completely amazing and it was such a transformative thing. That feeling is always kind of stayed with me. And it's pretty shocking number of deaths you've just linked to inactivate how inactive always the short answer is very inactive. That's the same both in the uk and pretty much most countries around the world and it seems be getting worse. The brewers figure is for the uk is roughly four in ten adults. Don't do enough activity to preserve the health in the long term.

S6 E8 - Life: TBD
"This is the we served now. What podcast and if you're anything like me you've had a ton of questions. After leaving the military in the lack of answers has left you frustrated in probably more than a little confused. This show is here to help you make sense of what can sometimes be craziness that is your life after the military. See you can turn your post military life into your best life. Now when i was working on this show. I thought you know. I don't even know what this next. Show season six episode. Eight is going to be about so in the show. Topic is making my notes. I just put to be determined. Dvd to be determined. And i thought you know what that is a perfect title or or maybe more appropriately. I think it's a good topic especially right now as it feels like we are nearing the end of this year. Long over a year now global pandemic that is covid nineteen and the truth is it's it feels like our lives have been in a to be determined status for that entire time right so you can't go anywhere you can't really get out of the house much. Could there's not a lot to do now if you like the outdoors. Maybe this was the perfect time for you to do that. but you wanna go shopping. You want to go out to dinner somewhere. We'll sorry you can't because everything is closed so our lives of felt like we're in a to be determined status but you know pandemic aside. Maybe you're wondering some more practical things you know. Maybe you're wondering if you ever be happy or if you ever get married or if you'll ever have kids or maybe you're wondering if the tonight is in your ears. Whatever shut up. I know i wonder sometimes. Or if you're ptsd symptoms will ever subside. I'm willing to bet that you felt an and maybe you're feeling right now that your life is on hold it. It's all in this kind of this murky to be determined status so my question to you is this. How will you know when your life is no longer on. Hold in this episode. I'm gonna share six elements of forward progress with you and buckle up. Because they're not easy. But i can assure you they are worth it. So by way of introduction mining aaron perkins. I'm a us army combat veteran also hosted. This podcast. I've been focusing on the veteran community. You basically ever. Since i got out you know i should be more honest with that right for a very long time after i got out on myself and focused on figuring out what my next steps were what my forward progress looked like once. I finally kind of got a handle on what my own life was looking like or what. It should look like what i wanted it to look like. I thought you know what. I can't keep this to myself. This is not something that i can say. Okay well i figured it out. All my other veteran brothers and sisters can just figure it out for themselves. So i wrote a book called resolve. That is a step by step guide. That takes you through the process of rediscovering purpose after the military but that aside today i want to talk about something really specific and and and a lot of the elements of the book. Come into to today's show. But i want to talk about those six elements afford progress with you. So look no matter where you're at you can live your best life. No matter what phase your life is in your best days are ahead of you and that and that's a key element and it leads right into this first piece. I want to talk about. Get your mind right. And i know you've heard so much about it. No doubt about mindset and how important your mindset is and how much it matters this. Honestly the most important aspect. Because if you don't get your mind right you are setting yourself up for failure if you are going into any challenge. Excuse me any challenge in your life. And you haven't i said okay. Let me you visualize what i'm going to do. Maybe let me rehearse it so to speak. Let me planet out now. Let me go tackle it. If you don't do those things then you are really like. I said setting yourself up to fail but more important than all those all. Those things i just mentioned is what comes before that and that is believing that you're going to be successful. So here's the thing when it comes to mind set right. It is not just a one time event. It's not just this decision. You make to say okay. Well i'm going to be Positive in this particular in this particular regard or I am going to say okay. I'm gonna change my mindset for this one time only. I know i normally have a negative outlook and i think that nothing is going to go my way and i it seems like life is crashing in on me but this one time. I'm going to believe it's going to get better. It's going to be better. Look your mindset. it's a regular event. It's not just a one time event. Maybe it's daily. It might be several times a day. Mindset is absolutely huge and a big part of the mindset is asking the why behind your desire to move forward or more specifically than. This is where i told you some elements of the book will come in. Maybe even the why try and so in the resolve book So i put together for the book. What is called the nine line framework. It is a guide a plan for you. The veteran to step through one step at a time for rediscovering your purpose after the military and line one in this nine line framework is why. Try you know we've already had purpose. We've already done so many things for our country and for allies for families. Why try and that. And that's one of the questions you have to answer in the book. I share more about how to get to that point right but element too so i wanna get your mind right get that mindset all clicking in the right direction element to is discover your purpose and you've heard me talk about a few times you've heard me say that discovery purpose rediscover your purpose even on this show on this episode and again talk a lot about this in the book and i wrote it with the belief that you do not have to suffer through life after the military. I'm going to say that again. You do not have to just suffer through life after the military because there is life after your military service you know. Maybe it's a whole new career or a whole new hobby or new opportunities. You simply couldn't take advantage of you. Were in the military purpose. Looks different for all of us. When i'm friends he was a medic In my unit that we deployed with and he is. He's big into fishing like that's his thing now. I'm not talking like you know. He just goes allen out on the lake every now and then this guy is a competitive fishermen really really great at his skill set and he has found a renewed sense of purpose just in fishing. And you know what is he doing. They're right what is he who what does he really getting at when you look at it like well okay. Cool like he's into fishing. But what does that mean as far as you know his life moving forward or discovering his purpose. Look here's what. Here's what i can guarantee you. In his life in his his new fishing fishing centric life right. He's got a family and everything that he's taking care of but this this is one of the best things for him because he has a passion for it and in that passion he gets to live out what he is really loving about his life and so in his day to day life where he gets to talk about fishing and and go fishing and all this. He's building these relationships with people around him and he's doing so much that it is. It's so cool to see when a veteran really really discover is in uncovers who they're meant to be after the military and again purpose different for all of us. So where i find my purpose are where my old dock mimetic buddy found purpose and fishing. Yours is probably going to be the same and don't expect it to. You shouldn't expect it to look the same as anyone else's that's why again that i created the framework that you can use to discover your own sense of purpose and the next element that leads me right into this. One is forgive. Look forgiveness is one of the least talked about aspects of transitioning from the military and it is arguably the hardest i say arguably because some people never even come close to really dialing into what it is. They need to forgive. They need to forgive themselves. Do they need to forgive. You know an old battle buddy Unit commander you know those who've been victims of trauma or If they have. Ptsd from their from their combat service. You know what are the elements of their lives that they need to forgive and again you know i feel like i'm talking about the book a lot and i'll be honest i am because there's so much more in the book and this is line three it walks you right through the process of forgiveness and forgiveness is not saying you know what it doesn't hurt it's not saying it wasn't a big deal. Forgiveness is choosing your own freedom. And i think i said this on the last episode of but holding onto unforgiveness or or bitterness even is like setting yourself on fire and expecting the person you were bitter at or angry at or holding a grudge against expecting them to die from smoke inhalation so all forgiveness is as tough as it may be all it is all it breaks down to is that you are choosing your own freedom so get your mind right. Discover your purpose and forgive what you need to forgive. Forgive who you need to forgive. Maybe that's you. Maybe that's someone else helmet four. Uncover you in other words. Understand how you tick. What types of choices do you make in specific situations and one of the best tools for this is a personality assessment and yes. That's part of the book as well. That's part of the nine line. Framework is discovering your personality. Because let's be honest in the military you know. Personality is fine when you're hanging out with your friends or your battle buddies or whatever you want to call them right but when it comes to getting the mission done your personality kind of takes a backseat. It seems to knocking out the mission to getting to mission success getting to mission completion and so a big part of your post military life like who am i to figuring out what it is that you are not only passionate about. But what are you naturally geared toward and in the book. I use a tool called sixteen personalities. And you can check out at sixteen personalities dot com that's one six personalities dot com. There's also a myers briggs assessment. There's the disk assessment. Which kind of is how you function in a work environment and so uncovering who you are and the key elements of your personality are really critical to your moving forward in life that brings me to the fifth element. Make a plan. The fifth element of moving forward in your life is to make a plan. Don't just imagine a plan get one now. Look i want to say something about plans here. Right it's a whole lot easier to turn to the left or to the right if you're already moving. Have you ever set in a vehicle. You're sitting in the driver's seat and you turn the wheel all the way to the left. It's kinda hard to do or maybe you need to turn it all the way to the right. It's kind of hard to do because the tires just kind of moving on the on the on the surface there and you're like this is. This is really really difficult. But if you're moving you can turn the wheel just slightly to the left or to the right in. It's a whole lot easier. So when i talk about making a plan you don't have to have every single thing figured out before you start moving. Make general plan now. Look there are a lot of great plans out there. The resolve book has just one of those. Which i've mentioned is the nine line framework. Now let me be honest with you here. Scrawling down your plan on the back of a cocktail. Napkin is about one hundred miles ahead of someone who never writes down their plan at all. There is a fundamental shift in our brains in imagining a plan and then writing out that plan so make a plan element six get accountability. Accountability is like magic. If there is some magic element to rediscovering your purpose and to moving forward in your life. Accountability is really kind of that magic. And you really get to kind of see behind the curtain so to speak and it's kind of the inner workings of how that m- all that magic happens and accountability can compel you to do things. You would not ordinarily do so take for example of a group of friends right so every saturday you go for run with those friends and you know you have to get up at five thirty. Am and it's saturday and you really have to work today. But you're getting up at five five thirty because you're going to go for a run with these friends and it's not just about the run. It's about the fact that if you don't show up there to give you a hard time about dude where were you like. Why were you not here. This is this is ridiculous right. And they're gonna they're gonna mess with you about it and and if you're a guy that they're gonna call out your man card and be like. Hey you know like we showed up. Why didn't you and so the there's this element of like men getting up at five. Am to go run now. If you're like a big into running and you do it anyway. Maybe this story doesn't resonate with you but for most of us. It probably does so. We're supposed to be showing up to this run right and we're like okay. Well here we go. Let's go tackle this thing but Man tired. I don't know if i want to do at this morning at saturday. I've gotten up early every single day this week. I have a hard all man. I just remembered these guys are going to be there. And i had better show up. Or they're going to give me a hard time and the thing is sometimes. It's fun accountability. It's it's light hearted but sometimes it's someone pointing their finger at you and saying. Hey why aren't you doing what you need to do or challenging you to say. Hey here's the next step for you. Here is what you need to be doing in your life. Go do it so element. Six is get account ability. So let me quickly go over these one more time number one. Get your mind right. Your mindset is critical and big critical part of that is asking the uae. Or the why tri- why should i even bother element to discover your purpose. How do you do that. Well one way you can do. That is pick up a copy of the resolve book. I go through that whole process. There and that process is called the nine line framework part of that nine line. Framework is forgiveness. One of the least talked about aspects of transitioning from the military. But i think one of the most critical element for uncover. You check out a personality assessment. Again you can look in the show. Notes shared a couple of links in there and you can use sixteen personalities. Dot com myers briggs disc assessment of variety. Once you can use but uncover how you naturally tick element five. Make a plan. don't just imagine it. Don't just think it write it down if you write it on the back of a cocktail napkin. That's fine at least write it down and remember. You don't have to have everything figured out before you actually start moving. It's a whole lot easier to make adjustments if you're already moving file element here elements six. Get accountability and accountability. Is that magic simultaneously that magic and it is the secret behind everything else that happens in your life. Can you do things without accountability. Sure is it a whole lot harder absolutely because again accountability. Is this thing in our minds. Says hey someone else's relying on you to do this to be that saturday morning. Run to show up at work to be at that volunteer opportunity. You promised you would be at an an again accountability. I cannot stress enough. i wish i could. I guess technically i could shout and scream and throw things and you know you know bangel desk and things like that but really accountability is so huge and it takes a certain level of maturity. It takes a certain level of maturity for to do that. Now look we all have a lot of questions but the most important question you can ask yourself is this have. I accepted the forgiveness of sins. That only comes through faith. In jesus christ while i hope these elements have helped you. I hope they hope you think about not only whether you should move forward in life but what your next steps. Are you're practical next steps. Four moving forward in life. And i'm going to ask you specifically right now to go. Pick up a copy of resolve at courage to fight again dot com. Maybe you're not ready to pick up a copy of the book and if not just go follow us on social media where facebook courage to fight again. instagram same thing Twitter at courage again a. "And i'm joined by my co host jon wilkin. Jt english good morning. Y'all hey i am doing well I i'll say this I did not know that you were not supposed to take a multivitamin on an empty stomach. You've never had a finger. And i i did and This morning it was not a good situation. I was i. I like legitimately thought. I have never been. I've never felt this nauseated. I life so why didn't anybody tell me. You're not supposed to multivitamin on an empty stomach. I'm still kind of feeling it right now. It's a really common thing for women gets pregnant. They give them to her and she starts popping the son of a guns and then she's like man. I'm really morning sick and her doctors like now. You shouldn't be taken that morning. But i don't know why they don't just tell you up front. I felt like it should be it. Maybe it's probably on the bottle and like a typical dude. I was just like You know the year. I'm gonna buy multi. Gotten this multivitamin on empty stomach with a full cup of coffee. No like how did you feel better. Did you get food. No i okay maybe not. Maybe not podcast talk. But let's just say her unpleasant happened. I i say you are you. Are you a new year's fitness. Devotee like do you start the new year with like. I'm going to do everything right. No i mean. I will say this and jt kenyan firm. I had a running start going into the new year. I i'm gonna brag on myself for a second. If i can right but i do like three hundred and forty miles on a bike in december. Which for me was a huge enormous like a stationary bike. Yeah okay It was like a stationary bike. And i got to tell you. I was really proud of myself so no i'm i typically end the guy that's like new year's is the clean slate. I'm going to jump in dead and then three weeks later. I'm like man that hot chicken sandwich looks good. I'm going to have but i've been doing good. I was good through december. And i'm just keeping it going in january so that's great Yeah i'm happy with it. You know i did. I did ride my bike. One day with jt and he smoked me smokes like like it was for the first two or three minutes. I was like oh got to keep pace with. Jt and i've worked with jt a couple of times in every single time it's humbling but remember when you did the reverse curl with a hundred and thirty five pounds. This story is now. The story would be much more enjoyable for me. A back she knew a reverse curl was fair. Enough fair enough. Well listen We are at the heavy lifting. Oh good segue. That's fantastic We are in genesis. And we're going to be in genesis for season six. This is a teaser episode for this season. We're not gonna get into eugenicist. Twelve thousand fifty really today but over this season. We're going to be exploring that together if you followed along and season five Then you know we were in genesis. One through eleven. If if you're just jumping in with knowing faith and you haven't gone backwards and listen to season five. You can find all of our episodes wherever you get your podcast and your gosh. She could totally go back and listen. I'll say this though. We do a pretty good job of kind of bringing you with us so it feels paralyzing. Go back and listen to a whole season of episodes just to jump in. Only promise you you're not going to have to do that. May be helpful as some context but as jump into season six going through genesis. Twelve through fifty. Were immediately going to start on this journey. With abraham and it's not something totally divorced from what's happened in one through eleven but it is kind of a new arc in this story so if you're just jumping in and you listen you're going be just fine. We'll fill in some information from genesis one through eleven as we go but let's do a little bit of that right now. Jin what is genesis than the perfect biblical pun for your name. What is the book of genesis. Well it's the book beginnings and so it's telling us what happened at the beginning of the story that is going to form the entire arc of the biblical story. But it's important to remember that it's not just telling us what happened in the beginning. It's telling us what god did in the beginning and so it keeps god as the central figure of all of the action and that can actually as we head into this Season that lovey. Who wanna keep top of mind because we start to talk about whereas in the first eleven chapters. We talked about four events Creation fall flood and babble now in the second half of the book which is actually much longer than the first half. We're gonna talk about four. People abraham isaac jacob and joseph. I'm so mad at you right now in this present moment because when you say stuff like that it makes me. Did you have that going into next. Because i have been preparing episode run sheets and not one single time. Have you said we'll call. You know the first eleven chapters are really four events and the next forty eight chapters or thirty eight chapters for people because that would have been a great line from somebody else. I mean come on. It's not like i sit around at night map in this stuff out. Yeah and i'm never up to snuff so it asked the story. Arc moves toward a description of people. We do want to bear in mind that the central figure is still going to be y'all way and how he's acting in the earliest recorded Stories of human history for us so But but again it's a book beginnings meaning that all of the and i think we said last season. The genesis is often referred to succeed. Pot of the bible is where all of those themes wanna see go. All the way through to revelation are being set up for us. So that's what we spent a long time last season and we'll do this season doing is looking for what are those. What are the threads in. How can we begin to see them with greater ease and regularity as we move into the rest of the scriptures us great so okay so genesis book of beginnings first eleven chapters four people. Next section. Twelve through fifty is for events but jt. Why would why would. Why would we spend all this time studying. Yeah i did just get it backwards. And i said it backwards. Genesis eleven four events genesis. Twelve fifty four people in residual. Okay so jt. Why would we spend a whole season studying genesis. I mean like why not. Just get to the good stuff in the new testament and just roll. Yeah so. I mean. One of the things that i i think. The lord's really teaching me right. Now that i'm trying to learn in my ability to be a bible reader and a bible teacher is to see how really the whole story of scripture is in those first three chapters. It's also in those first eleven chapters that we did last semester. It's then it's in the next fifty minutes in the pentateuch. The first five books of the bible that really when you look at genesis to revelation the whole story of scripture which we think forms hold disciples wanted list hopes in this podcast. Is that you just know. The story of the bible may be able to participate in be participants in the story. And you can't. You can't participate in the store. You don't know is that they would see they would see that. The story of the bible really finds its seed form all of its hyper links through the rest of scripture. Here in the book of genesis genesis. I don't want to say that there's any book that's not foundational. We love all sixty six. The bible not including third corinthians kyle but all six bucks at arrival We we need to know. We need to love. Because god has put treasures there for us. But i i i do wanna say this carefully. Genesis is one of those primary pillar books that you don't get it right..

"Is called worley and i'm joined coach jon wilkin in english. What's up y'all hey. We are so excited and listen. I just wanna say thank you. If you're listening to this You're probably supporting us on. Patriot certainly if you're supporting us in the super van category you already got this. And you're the first to hear it and we wanted to honor your questions. We weren't able to get every question we wanted to get to a lot of your questions. and so. I'm really excited. I just wanna say. Thank you starting Knowing faith in our ability to grow this podcast has been largely in part because of your support and your help and sharing. What you love with other people. And i'm tremendously thankful for that and also have something exciting. If you are in the patriotic as superfan which many of you are then. Starting in the spring you will get our knowing. Faith episodes lord willing if we get all the tech with engineer. Brad worked out. You will get them two days early moving forward into the spring and we're really excited for you to get to be able to do that You're somebody who's listening to this and you're thinking oh i'm not unpatriotic but i'm excited to hear that Then you could go to patriot dot com slash nine faith and find out more about some of the cool stuff that we have coming through patriotic. And some really excited wanna say thank you if you're listening and supporting the show that's very kind of you and your questions are so good there were so many of them and such good questions And so we're going to address some of them right now. Let's start with jeremy. Jeremy ask if knowing was a character on west wing. Who would it be. He's jeremy taking this to a meta level. Now it's not just who are we as individuals on knowing on west wing but what is knowing. Faith was a personify character. Who would it be. Okay but here's the deal you have to get the character in your mind before we answer. Do not okay wait. Because i wanna see if any of us agree. Let's okay. Wow oh my gosh. Let me give me one more. Second maybe engineer brad can place them air lewd music here The do okay..
"faith" Discussed on Think On Your Faith
"Of God are used by other people to abuse people. We go. Okay, that's dangerous. So so we're going back to your claim. That faith is dangerous. Yeah, I don't think faith is dangerous. I think faith is unavoidable. I think faith is the way that we all live in this world and we took ourselves by saying. Oh no, I'm actually I actually know this when we don't really know it but we're more comfortable with this position. We don't want to call it Faith because faith is something that other people have not me and so okay. So let's just stick on that on that knowing god thing because I think feel really comfortable saying that I know that there is no God and and the reason for that is because I I haven't I haven't seen one. I haven't heard one. I haven't experienced one. Yeah, and and also I haven't seen the god of the Old Testament the New Testament. I haven't seen the Islamic God I heard from him. I haven't seen him on the news. I haven't seen him in my dreams. I haven't I just know that there isn't one and until someone can bring me some, you know, make a strong case for it. Like I said for the Believer song. If you wish to believe that there is a God and you're sticking your whole life on them and your you know, your your your governing your life according to his precepts and this is what I would say to mrs. Jordan Peterson if you're acting as if there is a God the burden of proof is on you because you're acting as if there is a God proved to me that there is the what does he look like, but if off and I don't know, I don't know Jordan Peterson well enough or his claims well enough to really use him as a good example. But so I don't know if he's saying I know for certain that there is a God or if he's saying I have faith that there's a God because if you say I have faith that there's a God there is no burden of proof because you're admitting it's a faith claim. Okay? Yeah, I can think I can't prove it. I just okay, you know, then I'm having faith. Let's let's agree on that cuz I totally understand what you're saying. I told you get I follow there. It's a faith claim and anyone can make that Faith claim. Yeah, but I want to take it. I'm going to take a maybe just a step further because this part here dead. Is is pretty close to my heart? I realized after I left the church that it wasn't that I had faith in God. It was that I hoped there was a God there's a difference. Yeah, there's a difference because because right now I've asked myself. Why do I even hope there's a God and I think that was that was a very personal interview that I had my head with myself when I finally decided off I'm good. I'm good. I don't need to believe in a God to be adjusted person. I don't need to believe in a God or an imaginary being to live a good life. Right and and I started to ask myself that question. Why did I always hope that there was a God? Why did I want there to be a god?.

"Pretend to fully understand it. Now how did you process it all? And what part of the Christian faith drew you when it could have repelled? You like it did with her father Well I think I'd probably kind of is three sided is free great dilemmas that I've grown up and you try to use it. All obvious. One is software. Why is this allowed to descend on maters terrible thing and then even the sense of that while I may not my sister was not the other way round signed general? I think I drew the conclusion that that we can understand. In broad terms of this is a broken wheel and it will always be painful. Can they'll always be swift. There will always be cheese. Which leads you to the second point. Does anyone understand or are you lung? And of course the story of a Jason Stein a completely evil Trou- in which every lull even rimal was ten months hate or node innocent man's condemned base and gruesome horror. This not only in the physical sensor does mill Mel Gibson sizes in the passion. Those are saying that maybe but also the theological sense a god who feels things multiple degree than we do. So there's somebody out there does on the stand and who cares enough to do something about it because that's the point. He dies Given to the things that I have done wrong because he has done nothing wrong. Then those the food and really important side of the triangle that has been lost in our very comfortable societies and as we speak their norms challenges abroad. I suspect Butch Huskey big now about is the hook. Can we go into tomorrow? We count operate without. We got even operate economically without hype. It's a really important point. The Christian messages Yes a east high winds will be bound up the pine will end and we will live in unison and harmony. I think that's incredibly important. Hug is something. We can't really live with us as a teenager. John had a hope that got him through the darkest and loneliest days by trusting in what God had done for him. What hope are you clinging on today to get through what's happening in the world with Cova Nineteen? What makes your hope strong enough to whether any tragedy any type of business failure or economic storm? After his sister passed away. While John had a deep conviction of his faith and values he worked in an environment where politics was separate from religion. And that's pretty different to what we see in the US so even his sister's tragic accident. John didn't openly speak about how defining her death was for him and his faith until after he retired from politics in two thousand five. So how can faith play into politics from John Story? It's about serving the country to the best of his abilities. Relying on God when it was out of his control and doing what he believed was in the best interest of entire nation and for future generations. John served in one of the longest serving governments in Australia. Creating reforms that put it in a debt. "You be you embrace joe you know we did they could make jesus see a view of life on business now i'm calling this episode so now fault because if you listen to this from the beginning of this adventure you know the they when it gets turned into the written book for the but we it is coming out in september this will be the law chopped i no they shouldn't lost ever called got that it is the last episode but the next few weeks you've already had me tell you that when the podcast is pausing for july and august it's the summer and they'd be sharing old episodes on social media so i still want lots of goodness i mean this said a hundred and seventy nine most people wanna listen to one hundred and seventy nine states that don't worry you're not gonna like see the back of me i'm sure there's plenty of other goodness it you could you could inject however it is the law it'll be a while until we pause and when book this is gonna be the starting point next to me when i when i encourage you to think about today is the think about what is resting in him in gold rini looks like so ideally over the last few weeks if you've listened to the podcast you will if if i've done my job at least half right you will be inspired to be yulia you'll be inspired embraced show in a weird so you can make jesus ceo of human life business we talked a little bit reggie about some of the benefits of doing that we talked about the challenges of doing that but actually i wanna consider say well resting in he reads looks like it's not about helping mostly i mean they will be times things when you know god is reminding you just step back and just to be but she when you're waiting by stinging him you could still be taking action and so the writing from the today about the finish the episode and i nobody say they they end the prompt say ridi when you get to it is doing courage you just sit with gold on dream sit with god and just be and see what comes up a notch me won't resting in god looks like because they you have to come up with a certain accused of trust because you don't need to worry the god conduit but if there's something in you that goes yeah but i'm not sure i see investing in him sitting in just being is a rainy scary proposition now we talked yesterday about language yes it can be scary to let go but it could also be exciting i don't mean that kinda scary i what renaming it if we she relinquish control it can bring up all sorts of dimes and what's interesting to me is i would i would encourage you to do is just stop paying attention to what comes up when you see it going okay yeah audition today's i'm ready outplay okay go for it see what resistance comes up see what what lying and won't die somewhat half truths please come to mind invariably there's things will be areas where you need to give those most difficult is average way you feel resistance i'm not i know i would i would happen i already mentioned the britain's yesterday but that kind of stuff at the sort of stuff but we dig into it dig into you know we came mentoring kohl's iphones result of this janney you really do need the support and you really know you would benefit traci she token i buy that stuff in more detail i would invite you to go to the league britain's dot com a witness said you can do this work on you right i mean i i believe we are cool being community god is the ultimate example of community father son hanging dispirit and you i want you to have any relationship with god while you're walking moment by moment hour by hour day by day with him and at the same time notice i didn't say but when you think about it and the gates the stuff that came before it on the same time you could do this in community i you know god when he made adam adam was in the garden of eden handle these animals around demand we imagine it with his he's just a wonderful place at the garden of eden he had gone he had a relationship company have up until the full he had the closest relationship human needs speaking that we can imagine and god knew the he's still needed a companion on so sometimes there is this thing that comes up says well if i trusted gone enough then i wouldn't need to talk about it with other humans isn't the case because we don't have on speed dial we don't have goes on text message yes he will give us defined diamonds yes we do have is what i guess he will ideas and all hey but it's nice those who have community to better shea things to encourage one another i really do believe that go given gift and and something to be brace i'd say as much as as much as you can have a wonderful relationship with him and i want you to have i wanna remind you about it you don't have to do that and you're right but bringing us back to the real question of so now what what is resting in he looks like it rainy is what we kind of intimated already it is a moment by moment hour by hour day by day thing i've already said this week it's not like as if if you're gonna go okay god yossi i jumped on washing hands finished no this is this is a daily choice it's about what direction is my hot moving in i mean god knows he knows you intentions and they know love giants out fairway tone in the bible you don't need to be afraid that you're not doing it right now he knows at your intentions honorable he knows way haunted until me is a moment by moment choice being in conversation him those shop this quick short out of my mom calls when you when you have a difficult conversation sees how you don't see too full eloquent woody flowery language praise those moments no he he knows he's got god jesus alongside whispering into you dave interceding on your way home you never need to be afraid of going all out that's fine too i would say that shouldn't i shouldn't be all anytime you talked to go you don't wanna be just shooting a pilot brad that's not really relationship you wanna be moment by moment and not be eighty will not resting and he looks like if i guess it just as we roll this mini series to occasion and i do the podcast rock so so the city needs to the christmas break and i'm getting ahead of myself i know i love christmas but still as we draw the consequences the summer break i'm really wondering covered you just just sit we'd gone i came this looks like she asks us came to shame you ask him to guide you if you're not sure if you're looking for the community how asking to help you find that right community he wants to be involved in every single aspect of your life not just the big stuff i shared with you before they're not bible weight loss bible study wait us coasting was huge huge i connect me it wasn't until i did that i mean i just i loved you and i got his interest in every single intimate details of your life any it rini just moment by moment okay show me i'm going johann in his direction and see what comes up it's exciting it's liberating freeing it it releases you from the pushing on the angst that because you can't do ridiculous you can't make meticulous gone given dreams come true if you won't following the stuff that god gave you he will do it i also wanna share with you i got in front of me i happened she just this morning knows the credit confirm my kindle i made this is just a quick reminder as well is there is evidence in shave on his book grace over grind which i've mentioned before i'm gonna be paraphrasing mess but she said she said something along the lines all never let your god given dreams never networking told you a god given dreams push i spending time with got isn't exactly how he phrased it but that would be and so and so as we closed as you pass some i want to encourage you uninspired go yeah you've got these things that you're gonna do with god and then that reminder sit with him be with him rest in him i came to shave looks like and if you wanna talk about this more if you wanna have community we have got the faith in business take on for you facebook dot com forward slash groups slash you christian i'm gonna i she'll be back in.

"Playground mentoring accountability is polka help you be you happy ratio in a way that they could make jesus ceo of light on business i've my mind you don't have to do this on your rent i'm giving you writing prompt things i think we ever got just do it in your own head and then be stuck i would encourage you to come and join us in the playground a facebook group on facebook dot com forward slash groups forward slash you at christian on linked in the show and in the meantime we are considering the fact that yes letting go can be scary but it's liberating too so i already told you in this thing along lake i want i told you the story as high as a result in my own business meeting regard last week and i felt that not sure about scott rewind slightly festival god reminded me the option eight four weeks of content and i thought i needed to recode is already being done we've already talked about that the content the book once like i screwed on and crushed it and think about it and i intend to me right how we talk it will be a bit different obviously but that content already done so off the i said well you got four weeks don't forget it the next they were okay now what would i do the podcast i'm not whisper i got was stopped or more accurately pause teach in line august off now i i started this podcast almost a year ago last night i stop today in the summer holidays and i've told you before the reason why i don't i don't edging out barking dogs or things like that she can't he be oj when i was when i get myself in a little bit of a pickle i lean not in that on purpose because i i'm hoping to leads by example to give you and i will concrete example of what it looks like just show up and just to be on to brace each month if i heavily idea each episode of the podcast that would be disingenuous and it wouldn't be a true reflection of what she looks like it could be me it was a conscious decision right when i stopped the car and the says you have to say coca she recounted the seeking all my freeze that at the back of the heist because it with the farthest away points restive my household and so i sit down i could only saying then graduated to my within the pat like these days i called it a direct needs my computer using my my my so if you're listening to the beginning and you just the same quality improved the reason why however just become a year ago i chose to do it during the school holiday show that we can just nathan embraced it may just be doesn't mean that means attorney have to carry on and so there's a few different sorts of stories and asking you a different line this year i guess the first one is you don't have to keep on doing the same thing day after day after day week after week after week just because god is late something on your free time it can just be three season and then you compose and you might pose and come back to oppose install knowing god says you pose likely mean i would the podcast quite honestly my reaction was oh my goodness if i'm not gonna be doing the podcast what am i gonna do how am i gonna show up i mean might the podcast forms the basis of pretty much all my social media i shared it on instagram stories and all over the place not directly on it but it gets you know the it's the starting point so i might take assigned bikes on the podcast episode from clinton into social media it really does drawing on much of the content i share with you it's it's the refocused and me here's so my punishment such as well okay so now what i do that's kind of scary but then the next to mind was yeah it is scary but it's liberating because tommy's go one i'm not doing the podcast well scott making space for instead where the language tweet comes in because how you feel about eight situation or and event or things are happening how you feel about you and how you experience not happening is influenced very lovely obviously around the story that you teneo so another language that you used to describe the thing and so i want to encourage you to be very aware of the language on the stories that you are using i'm so this came up i think in the in the facebook group a couple of weeks ago actually way go one of the greatest that combat commented on the fact that you know it was quite well i can't remember things i was she is which one which one hesitating signed me and i don't the legend in my but it was something along the lines of it is quite overwhelming or intimidating alone remember the what she someone yet is challenging him like you know when we meet a challenging go quick song but i can be challenging it comes to something but you know what else you cannot you could meet exciting by government and if you have a nice to have you have you felt a little bit anxious sam webb simpson you'll multi on the next time you get excited when i sit in your body they kind of homeless feel the same thing i said one of the two weeks you can do is if you've stopped being you're sucking overwhelmed by all the you don't now defeating sketch yes scary but he's also meeting exciting and then i just have to feel it thanks to the way that you made your brain and the way that i'll i'll near audiology what it does feel the same has that benefited tweak and change the way that you win with the event and so i just wondering how would you mind you you have more power over the way that you experience the world and you public give yourself credit for and that's not something like ego driven thing like yeah you'll essentially well no you know like gold is gold you know as i've said said before however god made you brain that is incredible and the way that you could impact your well in the difference.

"Jackie embrace showing in a way it did help you be you making the ceo of your life on business not all this week if you've been listening all you wanna do it rainy beginning to wanna means the jesus the beastie some of the challenges some hints hopefully some inspiration as well and so i ended yesterday's episode by talking about age 'em reminding you of one of the the really powerful things of writing that those average by in each direction because it gives call the opportunity to on the sheriff and give you on says i so i did thomas yesterday that today would be looking at the case for eight morning business power we've got the name of safety today i i wouldn't mind goes well if you're not already member who say this is dr drew on facebook's to please come and join at facebook dot com com forward slash groups for smash you react christian entrepreneur i'll put links to be great permission it as well but it's a it's a small but growing group as i told you yesterday i wrote down i'm cynical about how am i gonna greatest what do i need to do going well you didn't even do anything just keep doing what you're doing i do the work and not rini is the real joy that comes from stocking each morning with gop business power and i'll be quick hounded you well i got the moment meant i tend to have that business meeting after taking the children to school but today the tongue recordings after say i did not get my desk until something afternoon i had appointments in the morning just the way the things that i like we missed not quiet time on oh sunday just wow but by meeting with teammates during the day it gave space all the junk and the tapes to come up so i sat down a strange way these the wish but come on hurry up because you're not sitting around talking to go and you go do not get over that watch me reality i want it to be spending that time in engaging human all of this stuff special relationship right and so it was interesting to me to know to science and then into recognize that as not being trade and so i'm gonna do moving forward is i'm not gonna set my alarm only ten fifteen minutes an idea i'm lucky 'cause i'm one of those review knowing quickey morning people's it won't be a big deal it's almost it's bed on time but i'm gonna set my alarm ten fifteen minutes let me stop that quiet time even if we have to finish some of the details later but says i don't miss out on that how how much benefit i have found these morning business meetings we've got to be so i want you to picture the scene from language imagine that you were gonna come you had desk every morning wiz the ceo of your company and lachey probably that's be honest if you if you meeting with the ceo of your company a human see you would've city oh desk and have the ceo come to you you would go to the ceos oh and i want you to consider what is it look like when we do the savior jesus said jesus just face it is the throne room he's sitting at the right hand side right hand side of gold right night interceding cd whispering sweet nothings about you ain't got yeah and so every single morning if you start your day with jesus we go the holy spirit and us these questions you know i i like to start with thankfulness not have a shed is another time in more detail i have did mentioned yesterday that she tweaks my window week climate and some of it is semantics mimi but he does say the day up differently so instead of writing down three things i'm thankful i quote space on my promise thomas appraise gratitude i put it and then the knife and ended space now one day to sing is if you lost me tell me things and you signed for for right now i'll start in the morning i tend to write things like coffee a good night's sleep sunshine i'm not so lovely wonderful but that fairly light and sort of flighty everything everything however in that space where i i write a right to pratt is he not just keep going so you'll love like you said they thank you said that i keep getting really specific it's totally different proposition is being fined cofer coffee not there's anything wrong with coffee as you well know to be longtime this now i do like a cup of coffee or i'm not suggesting that we shouldn't be having coffee but by stockton not day would praise on west shit i'm gratitude it it it just tweak the focus of your day other things i like to do my business power so i like to think by an in prayer request who walked in the people in the situations i'm very among slogan that maybe they're being my children and my husband always make that list i wish price ladies in the league previous a membership community at price of the men in the navy men and women in the face of this is playground the free drinks as well but there'll be other specific things and if i know some of these particular needle somebody asked me to praise the i ten because i'm forgetting otherwise one of the many fun spaces she's nine i talked about this yesterday is ryan got guy didn't need it and not somebody who's the real joy of those business advisers business meetings because if you were meeting with the ceo of the human ceo and you stepped in his all healthy i need chapter about stuff they would ask you okay well what's the challenges where where we start in white knight god is asking you the same thing so i want to encourage you to be rainy up front with golden say this i'm not sure but this is what i'm feeling i'm sitting back and then wait my experience is being the gold will provide sometimes downstairs and quite like high expected to come sometimes even many times it might even be betcha but by starting the conversation being open and honest to god end i'm going johann in his direction 'cause he never goes anywhere he's waiting you twenty four seven he wants to be voting and be nations ship all of the time it's us you tend to get forget for its us you tend to like we talked about yesterday we do we get the crisis point we reach i would actually know in the in the mental health condition you they you are in courage that track this talk about inside your depression somebody'll labels you austin to chalk on a scale of zero to ten how you feeling i dini they encourage you to implement those strategies that they've given you when you add like a five out of ten don't wait to nine or ten of ten detroit expect these different strategies to what and the same is true with our relationship with god is well instead of wait until we get crisis point he because he's gone and the human he can and does a will act when a crisis point you know he hasn't he hasn't held back by that the big difference but fall back on kinder more gentle loving of a wonderful view is being not dany step by step you know this is what i'm concerned about what do you think i should do you hear what were you have me do here and those ideas will pop up and if you gave him the space in the time so those on says i've shared with you before like there's a massive difference between here and my plans god please bless them posted this is what i'm concerned about what should i do those two completely different ways of approaching your loving father and i would always say that the second one is gonna give you much better so i give you a better relationship with god is well and it's taken me i make forty one it's taken me years although i prayed the prime when i was twelve it's me i'll be quite candidly shed is beautiful it's been this year indian i ten forty one right we recognize the difference so i said they buy day week by week thing knew what they were not done once and then like logically oh he's gonna get destroyed the gods big enough and loving enough and gracious enough and wants to be a relationship with you now attempted your writing from today and when you think about your personal business powwow might look like so i've given you some some things i think about some of the things i like to do and questions and the things i like to my ten you'll you that right and so i want you to think about what is this look like to you in the context of your life and the commitments he goes rock and it's not one size fits all it's not that you know this is the way has to be done this is the way that you could try and then you tweak and adjust that needs to be but unless you stop and think about where what might look like you gotta stop somewhere and that's why you were writing for today and when he did considering imagine what mike your business managing your business tyrone with gold looked like that's what i did and if you do wanna come and share them coming over to the fake and business take on facebook group facing business.

"Founder of the faith of business playground he would mentoring accountability on this pucca help you be you have been braced you're in a way that they make jesus ceo of life on business i know when they speak speak very specific we all talking about and exploring what it means and what it looks like and the challenges that we find in making jesus the ceo of her life and business i would encourage you to come and join the conversation around the pecan that happening on the facebook facebook dot com forward slash groups slash you christian entrepreneur the thread ferry called caught that said when we could dig into it more and and and talk about what comes up to you in the meantime they today's episode is called his power in our weakness i imagine if i was the poll everybody listening and say well by this comes to mind when i say that you will probably go oh yeah if you're one of a pool with a stolen who slashed of course it's gonna be that you just a few minutes a few a few i am what but it's been kind of fans chapter twelve on on tremendous let's give us seven in order to keep me from being from becoming conceited i was given a thorn in my flesh a messenger of satan to told bench me three times i cleaned it but the lord take it away from me but he said to me this is called speaking the pool mike reiss is sufficient view from my power is may pass in week pull goes on to say that i will go over more gladly about my weaknesses so the christ power may may rest on me his wife at christ's sake i did like we said in in in how it impacts acution in difficulties but when i am week than i am strong now we may know exactly exactly what postponing his flesh what some people have suggested city within eyesight i think sceptical three times whenever it was please take it and got lashley that this is the reason why this is a few things that make you wait it gives me an opportunity show you how how powerful like they i've actually got a kind of personal story about that 'cause i was familiar with this bible but 'em but i've always been a k b go i'm never gonna be skinny 'em i eat relativity nicely now like you can't do both and stuff some knows chubby it goes but it's been one of those things it's been a bit of a okay so much my life i remember standing in the shower many years ago and i i wanna say maybe seven eight years ago something like i didn't write down the date studying in the shower crime to ogden honey please just don't make any take away my greediness around food please can you just make me not only eat pretty big nice around food and i miss my stepfather crying these words i was reminded these these read the polls rates go up saying well actually i'm not gonna take it because this is my way of keeping you talking to me and around that time i came into in across the bible study that basically when i finished me i'll share with you before full but it was the first time ever the i was giving a real awareness of just have loved by god each of us off the front of his interest in every single mine you teach out of your life including what goes and you're like i said their mind drawing how much they you you can each year not be greedy you do it long on me and i did have a real impact on my relationship with god i'm so there's been a handful i feed it inside the pillsbury real but the same is true for you is why like you might not have in exactly the same story i'm not i'm sure if you reflect on those times in your life when things felt difficult it's also nice times when god has given the opportunity to show just how burning he is i shabby before the beleaguered brilliance which is my my paid membership community has been launched in a good number of different names a number of different guys is over the years and i would there were some things not quite right or something i gave up too soon or never quite did what it went today and then finally they share god's i mean you felt very cagey go get my dot now i want this to be like i know when i was completely ridiculous humidity speaking there's no reason you don't keep him in little jake business wisdom tells you in order to launch membership type a platform you need to have a knowledgeable audience i don't have a huge oregon's yanked 'em and so there's no logical reason why should do that it's ridiculous but what i'm reminded of is not going revels in the ridiculous man my weakness my justify the faith of business highground is still small is no challenge wriggled he could do the ridiculous and so this time when it goes on to grow and be successful and makes a difference i have a very clear story actually not because of me because of him and i think one of the real reasons why it works this way because human nature is when things go in easy my thing is going great we tend to get distracted we kind of forget about gold i know that call me just me and the reality is he wants to be in relationship with you that the real reason and it's not about him going all i wanna just shows how brilliant i am is his way of drawing you back him to keep reminding you and not judging you and just keep going how much i love you i wanna spend time with you and it's almost become really he remembered that we get the it wouldn't be so busy when everything's going great and so by just in situations where we don't know the young says analyzed god's glory and he's and he's brilliant just showing great i'm i'm so i say shea butter yesterday day but i don't know what these next few weeks is gonna look like i after realizing that a cause i my human speaking my time was okay we've got all content the notes next you make the pub conscious gonna come together it's gonna be the contents of the book my god when you've already done for weeks i'm like okay well not will cause i'm now i'm a bit stuck now got nothing left and the west rankle would take july and august all i really no direction no i can't do that that would be known since well what would i do instead what would it look like how would i show up quite candidly at the time recode today i still don't have it yet but i see this i put she did she because it means that when i don't know goldman already know god is already going into the future type of petty planning and they pay for it not true for me i'm not true for you as well as some wine courage meant for you review today is that if you are feeding and if you are feeding on show if you don't know celebrate that say thank you god i don't die because he does because he is god and we all know and i have personally i'm very very thankful for that and so don't worry you don't know oh you haven't got another piece of you on shore and instead i would encourage you to focus on what you do have and it's not very i think somewhere else in testimony and give thanks no second stop this is not just did this lady all over the place that reminds us give thanks so much so what kind of day you are hopping they will be something that you can be thankful in that day and so if you show turn it around and thank god for the things you on shore but if you're feeding on set and we have a goal got certain things thanking you have got i just know that he has already prepared i plan for what he knows even when you judge his power we age in our weakness and i would encourage you i will be talking more about stories in the language and by much later in the week but i would encourage you just think okay what happens when i don't know it has gone to show how much he does and ultimately how loved you attend you're writing trump said today it's a it's a simple one i wanna ask you to consider where are you feeling weak right now so that's an opportunity for you to paul johann tactic all these things i'm cheating on it and about a one of my experiences in the last last week or so i've i've tweet i will talk about this mall possibly tomorrow even i treat my my stock to the daily routine and you'll be my window we finally what you have we talked about before i've changed at an in and out of his indifferent questions but one of the question is areas for direction very clear space that basically this is the stuff i don't know god on the number of times i write something down and then within a day or two he provides ounces the concrete example of that i wrote down i think weaker so a guy how am i gonna grab the face of business reagan and then if by magic magic in the comments but it wasn't god's people knew people and you might be one of the new people who are listening today since so you are announced it depresses thank you.

"Have you been listening along as the last couple of weeks you know we've been we stopped watching her books together so it'd be it'd been exploring this idea you're loving ulitsa wage embracing you're you're in a weird but you could be you and i've been encouraging you which dany writing problems so that's gonna continue this week i stopped to say by looking at the real joy that is to be hammered in in making jesus you'll see i i don't really mean is just like a nice jen trade on later in the week we're gonna be talking by walked back look like in real actionable chen's 'em but beanie ceo ceo of a company the chief executive officer if the passing showers especially makes it says how we're gonna do things set the coach for the company says the gender howard is gonna get done and the joy way of doing business gold sway the things don't always necessarily go how you anticipate they will however they can be ultimately more fraying and awesome house within a day in jim would each a major league but one is just give you an example of what i mean by that is if you listened she's gonna sing along fanny recently a couple of weeks ago i told you this is gonna be a six week at the cause i anticipated that in the book that is gonna be formulated you know the the puck crosses the starting point to the book we at the book is gonna have that checked it we have five podcast episode this week that phone it just reason even mind mascot tell me that six we contact however the way that you might have been telling this before but the way i find these podcast episode is that are punt weeks and weeks and weeks in advance attend to recode about week and it's on i will sit down stunned the week with my new book we had gone to say right what do we gonna do and these ideas then pop into my head of i believe that god given my my evidence that is the number of times somebody come back and say how did you know that i needed to hear that and they ran on she's well i didn't know you needed to hear that but you know go on so that's the way the puck conscious punt so stop of this week 'em i sat down with my night because i always did i said right what is this gonna look like 'cause i said you know we've had a couple of weeks now introductory tight material we spent some time i spent some time sharing with you why it was really good future ratio in a way that i gave you some tips and tricks how you might stop doing that they said we we need to get into the real the real meat you know in real practical terms they don't wanna be just some fluffy book and when that should be real actionable stuff and i'm laughing because they would remind me wrong that we have the next four weeks where as one of the next four weeks worth of content so the polka well the next twenty chapters of the book of things like you productivity you ain't go setting you area you may get stuff done 'em we've already had a week on each of those him on the podcast already i mean to me and i was doing this on my editor by my own energy i would call me forgotten that we'd already done this stuff all we wouldn't have done it previously because i when i when i was reminded of why is it when i recruited dot com ten seven weeks ago it was the content we need for that moment in time any said the pet and so if i was doing owners based in isolation striving pushing doing it by my in cold it wouldn't have we wouldn't what chat quite said jim nicely so that's the real joy randy yes it can be challenging now will we will talk about that later in the week yes it's not always easy but ultimately what we're talking about here she's stepping into into goes back to you i'm i'm i want to encourage you in today's episode over the next few days we all gonna be exploring role what it looks like how jesus i just see the white by way of introduction stunted this week i am and i guess when the book comes together this will be that's the beginning of the end of that final conclusion type section of the book you know by the time somebody reads this in the book they would already have all these things in place where they will be they will being bracing everything we do at once you start doing that what's the next step having used that bring it together and my mind then it's about okay you need to make the ceo of your life and your business says they said release just a quick introduction where the quick story because what i would challenge you weighed in and ask you to consider is that if you do business goes way you will end up saving yourself time you will ease the pressure it will be more fun you will find that you have energy that would come from places you didn't know you had energy and so it really is like god's best for you and there's no i'm not suggesting for amendment and she's like you know put the penny in the slot and pullout norman sweeties come out there and not or gene either going to win not it's not like that they see the value in relationship this is about you sharing a photo with god's love stepping into each brian you day empowered powered way working in along signed a wave jesus that's ultimately what they should the bikes and so my my vice income for you today reunion as we stop thinking about you making jesus ceo life and business are there emmys way you are feeding resistance to that that is reminds me the conversation we had in the playground where one of the lady said the phrase ceo because she hadn't had she had a few examples of ceos who went particularly encouraging supportive wonderful people and so not less had passed the name of the negative 'em framework or negative story around that labor ceo the same thing happens to some people when they talk what i would say to you you know god is your father if you don't have any strong good loving wonderful encouraging father figure in your life you it's that's the reason that you were gonna struggle with this idea of god is you'll find that that'd be candid see that you know used to beat you up and scan just silly why would you wanna have have golden that role and the same is true this label ceo and so what do you think about it chicken says if there are any areas where you feel resistance and also at his intends off you know we all multifaceted she faceted and so you might find as you reflects on it i'm not that are in mind you could do this a long time ago asking to eliminate and bring to mind those things the armpit and then you boy you might find is why is that you might be great at going going to god's way how many stuff for example but when it comes to the secret she's a business you find it challenging well by contrast you might be pretty good at doing business with god and chatting with him about stuff but you tend not to follow through with the city what you consider austerity day today niceties and i said i that's why i want you to reflect on the consider in preparation but you are on the rest of the week on him any area where you feel resistance this idea of jesus as you'll see that as you're watching prompt i've ever i would encourage you should feel so inclined to inspired to cleese coming shadow comes up you in the face and business banking group on facebook facebook dot com forward slash groups slash you christian entrepreneur and even if you don't wanna shadow of the deep doc biggest stuff just coming in and being courage by other jesus friends because she's very lovely space knees go and helping us little by little growing and i'm means wonders when you pick it up anyway i'm not i'm not tomorrow.

"You be you tapped embraced you're in a way they're so you could make jesus ceo of your life i'm business and if you're not already a member of the faith in business playground facebook group i would invite you to come and join us facebook dot com forward slash groups slash you yet christian entrepreneur but as ever the link to that will be in the show notes the benefit particularly the moment i mean i'm always encouraging people to join the benefit joining amendment is we are discussing these podcast episodes and answer questions and i got a little bit deeper so if you're listening along when you join it but you have questions or you wanna shasta the great reviews please do that flooding courage come and join today then i call this episode like some modest and not a sprint mostly because there are times when we need to just go for it as well however this tiny thing with yesterday where i ended up at the end of the episode i reminded you just stopped to try something and that without remind do they go is big enough loving enough and gracious enough you can you can he can he will close correct you need speak but what i was been minded and others could having today's episode a story and if you've come across there's a book called grace the grind lovely lady because shaped lines now she i mean in one of their facebook groups and have book is ridi brilliant and i will link her book in the show notes because if you haven't read it before i would encourage you to redo it because as a result of raping her book and at the time of recording this i'm not going in a in a different face but great were doing a about a book club book study of shays book but the reminder that came true is that to me as a christian entrepreneurs as entrepreneurs with james says i'll see we don't need to be pushing all the time and it's what what shea talks about i'm not gonna pete well she's asking hyping you're gonna be the book because it's really good the way will say is it she she she ate identifies the actually there were lots of people who are christians who are entrepreneurs but they're still pushing and they still doing the work each day through their own their own ability and power and so she won't harry reid with grace ever grind is to encourage even if the power you do each day from from a position of god's grace instead about how this ties in with today's episode is i might as i read me meeting chat to one in preparation for that so the book club she tells the story of the best if i think it has a child and she had a meeting between the lines is really quite should have been quite painful ciampa i mean childbirth is always painful were told this meant but she had this she put not sure my experience not well my she well she described in the supernatural experience and hempstead child chapas said a child was unlike any other unlike the previous two experiences she's on the i think the potato sitting i think the drug is cold to intensify had contractions it hits i it might not be the exact same drugs but when i had my my my eldest unlike contractions when doing very much and so they hooked me up to these drugs i had a nickel ju so i didn't feel any of it i haven't been praised the grind at this point and so i had i haven't had i didn't have opportunity to try out stuff is she's advocating a but but i can tell you that blooming i mean childbirth it anyway went onto after having my daughter had didn't do i didn't the next to bloom and she had a paint pre late but she had she felt that she described as painfree and i was inspired by meeting her count of child the way she had this cheap and not doing experiments who when she was doing the work lady bug truly like labor but in in in the power jesus and so it didn't feel like a and paying fillon or full i'm so never mind do i guess is that when we're going about on day to day business life we don't have to be pushing all of the time we don't have to be grinding to use shays language we can step into each new day god helping us working alongside that's what we may be talking about when we're talking about having jesus as the ceo of your life and business it's not meant to be just a consultant had not in the right direction on me here and encouraging and hoping to equip you to do is to do all of this side by side with him and so i when i talk about you making jesus ceo of human life and business i want to encourage you to have those stunted but they business meetings where you'll ceo well shall we do today he goes you know i've even pass and yet they got my my window week ton of i shed i when we did become yoyo live few weeks ago she updated my kind of and change the language around it actual content is affected in the state but instead of to do it shall we do today you know it's a conversation and so how this ties in with you being yulia 'em on bringing together this reminded there's two things rainy based a reminder that you don't have to push on strife on struggle to find find out what it looks like to be you every single day as you're doing this work it's not meant to be fixed and difficult on like something you have to wear con detours and then they they they follow up reminder is it it's a it's a modest and it's not a sprint so you don't have to do today i miss this week to anticipate the recorder will be a six week venture through this together so we ready in on janney anyway but even if we're going the very end is not gonna listen to the next six weeks of podcast episodes and that'd be done you know it's a day by day janney piece and so that there's there's combined there's june reminders but you don't have to push and you don't have to get it done today i'm hoping share that with you by waving coverage meant midi because part of the conversation that's been coming up in the playground over on facebook is sometimes it's really hard tonight who am i had i posted on instagram then 'em eight eight soundbite if you like one podcast episode one person responded and said go says i am therefore i am don't think we do and i ask the follow up question and didn't get reply the time so i guess it was the person who is asking the question is somebody who believes ultimately they all go which i know is it outside of christians because it's quite popular premise i'm people believe that some people believe that ultimately they are called 'em dot snow while i pass is going to i'm glad that god is gone to the notes but he was using that word sake is called that's called himself i i am and so therefore i am going without even asking i don't believe that is the case tool you know we are very clearly us and gold is gold 'em yes we have go with us twenty four seven that doesn't make us go on but that's kind of big of philosophical question at conversation which we can can have another day if you like rainy though i just wanted to encourage you because if you'll finding it difficult 'em if you'll china's sold like pushes so i wanna remind you and encourage you going back to what we talked about before lighten up when they were just to remind you that it's all gone big enough he knows who you are and so i wanna ask you i guess you're right you could have diabetes wherever you currently pushing all areas of your life are you trying to willpower even push away through to see some results and i post that because what i want you to think about is that we talked already in previous episode this week she won't resistance comes up so it comes up as well because way you have that resistance that sway you wanna mix a little because god knows you'll how he knows you're intentions honorable he will bring to mind for you those areas and then it's about a case how do i if i guess the follow up question i k if you can identify where you're currently pushing the follow up question is okay i got what do i do to release this until nine they move forward in your grace instead so it's a two part thing you may or may not wanna share that in the facebook group particular that second question because it is quite posts no i'm always open to having people share everything i'm quite transparent i know it's different people have different levels.

"Alone and you're thinking i don't know i'm stuck i'm not sure i'm so what i wanted to remind you today in the story i want to bring to mind to you today is the story of israelites when they crossed the red sea they did it a couple of times two or three times i can never remember which one it is and everytime i mentioned this i wanna go back and find jack and then i carry on talking i forget to wait till the next on maybe this time i remember i wanna say but it's definitely at least two i'm supposed to be three time gold how in the world he held back water so the israelites could crawl on dry ground and not direct however one of my favorite parts about that story is that be the priest the levi invites the on the people carrying bianca's the covenant which is the representation of gone they went first and not only did they go fast if you need that account in more detail you will see that they stoppage imagine they you're standing on the edge of the reserve i mean it wasn't a red with a great big see some action that you're imagine you're on the beach and you're gonna start walking into the water okay i'm gone just punching the water he is making away clear but there's account yet because he's doing it from that in the distance he's not doing it for way or standing he stopping at the other side of the sea and so we've got these these priests levi and he's carrying the cabinet have laying around and i imagine i picture them so lifting up that they had like so sketchy ready things didn't they they they would dress is but not travers is my understanding of it so i imagine imagine you so the flowing clunky gum into some kind of you ended up happening in the world you stick so i have this visual picture of these these priests waking up they had that gum and a little bit and so starting possible across it's worked in other words they have to get their feet wet they didn't stop crossing the red sea on dry ground they were paddling around it was what it was public cold probably not as cold as the see see him in south wales of course because they were there and it's much warmer that but still it might have been a bit but it would certainly be wet and says that have laying around in the world to god is doing a miracle all the way over that what would have happened and don't know they on this question i'm surmising but what would have happened if these lights have stayed on the sun again i don't know if it was a sandy beach quaint looked like but they wanna face just stay on the dry ground and they refused used to budge until they had drawing ground worker we don't know the answer to that question what god is being gracious enough to pocket and then they would have carried on who knows but they had to get their feet wet and i you know everything that happens in the bible which told all scripture is god breathed use teaching will be incorrect in trenton righteousness all of that stuff is automatic thing in the bible every story that we made is that help us grow as individuals in our relationship with god and so i believe that the story is important because it's a reminder to us when you're trying stuff when you're stepping forward on a new venture you have to get your feet wet not only that the president is already being set gumri will may already be doing a miracle that somewhere you just can't see it yet i feel stuck there and you know as it relates to you dr ratio in a weird day if you saw that go in i don't know i'm gonna wait until the movie on so you might be waiting a long time and so my encouragement to you today is if you don't know then just stopped and that is today's writing from because i wanna ask you watch all these areas of life all the things that you can stop it when do you know so if you don't know what it means for you to be the got the pass and god made you to be in every single area of your life of business and exactly what it looks like i would challenge that if you're telling me i don't know a tool i challenge i say well actually that's not true that will be areas of your life and old business way you are already being fully self expressed you're already left in order to read about today you already being the best and god made you to be whatever language you wanna user i'm not i'm so you're writing prompt today the thing i want you to consider that i would invite you to share it in the facebook group the thing i want you to consider is why areas of your life do you know already stopped all that you know so wave and you're like business can you stopped being yourself and so i gave you the example i think it was a couple of days ago you're back at my notes a couple of days ago i gave the example of this podcast where very consciously made the decision but unless the dog started barking there were some major noise interruption so for example tons of coaching in a few weeks time we're having some becoming they're gonna be like making me big noise with a great big so jack to break the concrete flooring i won't be recording the podcast that day let's just say that because that would be stupid you won't be able to hear the words however the rest of the time you will hear me for later my words because that's one area well i i can be very transparent and i can just be myself and so i like to leave biting someone goes up so that's my example of one area of my life where i like to think i am fatty you yet i am myself what you see is what you get have people that listen to this and they'll go if you're like already know you have conversations with people and we'd never spoken patrol but thanks to the podcast and you know conversations going on in the group they feel like they already know me because i right how i talk what you see is what you get so the puck comes to me is a very easy example of that you would have raised examples fee you check and so this guy did not see what we talked about last week about giving you a dose of certainty in order to give you a certification is said to write this stuff i want to encourage you to consider well jim unite the right areas of your life can you already stopped being yulia what does that look like and then just stuck so if you don't know just stop these realized how to get their feet wet i mean you is you go on this journey and do this where it will have to get your feet wet if he doesn't know almost pick something i'm trying it because god knows johann he knows at your intentions omer go on even if and i've talked about this before and i suspect it will come again but even if you have the best intentions and you genuinely trying your best but you still kinda get it wrong god is big enough and gracious enough and loving enough that he could win team that situation i got up saturday before i've had situations where i want to do some training for example and like i said take all right so many do they then let this this and this happened and then i waited a little bit about five seconds and then the pieces this this and this happened and so i did it did i pose and give god space defined shame ian punit ridge no i didn't so i can't always hindsight looking back i can honestly say they're doing that piece of training would won't go had in mind i did the training it was great and this i lead and things for me as a result was that god's intentions me i will never know because i didn't give a chance say however he is big enough and loving enough to use that situation unused not training for example to to get the ends and for good purposes i'm the same is true for you and so i want you to let go of this as much as possible easy for me to say i know but as much as possible and got helping you let go of the fear of needing to get it could be wrong let go the save need not only on and you and i just stopped showing some thing because if you sit there and do nothing you will know you'll make no progress forward it's fine betcha yes of course presley alongside guards ideally you know but having off the show you the way forward until you get in there is not it follows him get your feet wet see what happens because if you are continues leading he will close correct as as needs me but if you don't stop you're never gonna night and say that reminder.

"You be you that ratio in a weird so you could make jesus ceo of you like a business and of course i would love if you come and join the free faith in business gronk report facebook's because well having conversations around a little bit different continents coming up through the political baseball dot com for slash groups slash you christian entrepreneur and that but i will put a link to that in the senate however that's crack on today's episode this episode i should won't you from the getgo is one of my favorite topics but people listening to this you a long time this is or if you're in the playground on facebook you will know ready while i'm gonna talk about i had in my notes as because he'd been to you being a do you being you and embracing in a weird day but i'm calling this episode how to yellow call your way to you only two we do we all talking about the meticulous the active aging system is one of my favorite topics as you know because it's so clever i love the way the the called created all right so then the quick version of this because i don't i these episodes like kim succinct but also i know lots of people listening would have hit me say this before but the original activating system the pop is a little bit the back of your brain that doesn't many things it regulates your body temperature amongst other things but it also actions and so the reason why including the yellow car i have eight bright yellow call as of two thousand and thirteen i think i had that call and i don't know that off the guessing my call i suddenly start to see you know come all over the place exact same cop one time we went from the holiday a one time i did see my exact call but it would accept it which french like bringing five to try and find it of meat mike hop hop lumps identical french version of like how about around town i don't see the exact same scott a but i do see yet accounts all over the place now the reason why that happens is thanks to the vet you activate it will happen to you think about this very moment if you've ever had and occasion while you but when you come on seventy east on income like your or the place or maybe a friend of the family bug bites and you call i quite often one of my daughters his best friend her mom hasn't really cute baby blue collar on on i see these baby blue caused quite often around time is when i know when i when it to although she gave her a great big weight and so when i see a baby blue collar coming towards max look and see or not but it's not just comic obviously you know the other examples of issues if you find that you're expecting you're baby or somebody within your close friends or family is expecting a baby you're suddenly stopped seeing people with christian in from all over the place because your brain will filter in the things that things are important to you if you would consciously notice every single piece of information that comes up a year and a day you would go on 'cause you're like nothing done because you spend you're holding them to sing just such a save you from going completely anonymous or from being paralyzed by oversee formation your brain axes offense in a similar way to the facebook algorithm this is my concrete well real world example for you they're out there how many said they said well how many posted on facebook in the day but facebook's quickly discovered it would be too much if you but if you show you let me every single piece of content and the pages that you liked the groups that you're in the people that you're friends with it would be too much so instead facebook's stilted what it shows you may stomach things things you like so the things you comment comment on the things you interact with with like love and i go and those buttons on the things you click on links not signals the facebook algorithm that stuff is important to you and they stop the show you more of the same that's why my advice to you as an aside if you don't like what you're seeing in your facebook feed still clicking on stuff consciously stunt clicking on things that you we want to interact with it that's why the anger button i mean he tried to avoid using that angered by john i try to avoid interacting the things that make me cry because i know otherwise icicle shammy more that and i don't wanna see that so how this works and your brain how could you signal gio braveheart important so when you buy a new car we find that you're pregnant it becomes just focus if your attention i'm this relates to you embracing you'll have to find out more about who you are i want to encourage you just stop thinking about starting to see things ready make you smarter so had conversations with four with people about happiness now i maintain the not chilly day today happiness contentment joy it's not about doing real stuff if not about having more holidays is not about taking the children to eight place the is fun for example instead it's about noticing were already makes you smile in a day because by doing that your brain will start to work for you if you couldn't they just were ready lights you up it will signal hill right that's it's important to her and she won't end your brain will stop so turned into more of the same as if you start noticing those little quirks and eccentricities things that make you moved to sing yeah and actually if you feel so inclined the colts have been some i take offense to grow i have i have a habit and everytime i saw an orange slug of taken a photo of it if you haven't seen in orange agents night on whether i just whether they died off or whether my brain doesn't think it's important anymore i do keep mentioning on the podcast and trying to signal to migrate in the espy's orange legs it's still important to me but tonight avail but but if you can record it in some weight like meditate and you'll go do something concrete became dot com action is another way of signaling your brain but not stuff is important to you and all these two things they go together to make a difference they will make you smile but i would also help you as you figure out who is dispassionate god made me to be on as evidence that reminder as well off go to show you know we you will notice things and get those not just from garden you might be going about your day and he couldn't eat thanks to the hattiesburg you'll get there is not two of what those things are but sometimes we were so busy and so they focused on doing the work we don't get time we don't allow myself to see that so i guess review the press stopped everyday is open my eyes helped me to see see you know there's a story of iowa's but it's like jet relationship one of them he's his seven always helper is co worker or wherever couldn't see the full days of good that were surrounding them until go utterly joy like shack whichever one prayed god open their eyes and so i guess the crime everyday is open my eyes just see those things like i said i'm going to help you see those things like you who is it who had like one of the comments that we have a conversation we had in facebook's in the group a last week was wouldn't be quite honest assessment not i don't know who i am one of the one of the statements and that was echoed by somebody else's well if you don't no stop noticing the times when you gina hospital help you see more of what looks like i'm your brain then because go designed it outweigh will also help you as well so is your writing prompt or however you recording i remind you that is the right thing from is well already lights you up well already makes you smile will already oh how were you were anti being you were already all those quick snacks and two cities lots of questions in that but they're all basically the same question and we're gonna wrap up and you know what already lights you up makes you smile helps you to be you start noticing things a recall them in some white ideally coming shana moving the face but great because well we could talk about this together but stop saying i'm going to say and then you'll brain were filtered more examples and the more you see the easier it becomes just see it's like some couldn't possibly have fun with that like i remind you if they know lighten up a five minute don't get to like angst about it there on environments.

"In the facebook group where the basis of what's gonna be ultimately the book or yet and it's gonna be i'm gonna put out there right now we're gonna put if a publication in september however as you're listening along if you're not already and then the off the face of business playground group on face on facebook would encourage you to come and join us because i'm gonna be giving you the end of each episode i'm gonna be giving you some things to think about like team prompt in the books they all gonna be writing from so you know i i loved it and pen to paper but you can you can just do any had been wrong well i think encouraging people to do and what people are starting to do in the face but group is shea unless things come up for them with each episode if you're not already member of the face group a link to it in the show notes but it's facebook dot com forward slash groups slash you we at christian entrepreneur but like i say that will be in the show notes and together where i see this book is being a collaborative process so you know you ask questions i ask questions and then we go back and forth and help guide the content because quite candidly although i anticipate this will be a second chapter book and therefore we're gonna have the next six weeks we do this together while the content of the next six weeks will be i'm very open i said the with the polk cost being led by god but also meant than other questions that come up to you is well so i would encourage you if you have questions coming up i'm awesome so today though that saturday today we call it the little heading for this one is sickness on again they're just not ducks so you remember they start she'll today the stories inspired by a walk like took around round olive coupon did not jack eichel and lake is great big manmade pond and it's my regulated to joint with the dog's and then you're probably familiar with the story of badly that thing it's quite you know hounds christian i'm just done and how they didn't over the ducks giving this is other dot com tom producer ugly and yet she grew up to be eight swollen and then eventually even beautiful in glorious and amazing us lovely wonderful however i was walking around the great becomes less like one day and we do have quite a loss of life a living in in they ran despond we have some goes things but we also have some babies phones sickness and so i i love is walking around the on one date this wasn't recently there's been some a few years ago but it stuck with me had its share it with you as i was walking around and i noticed these sickness and took a look at them and and he said no ugly a tool reno ugly they're just not ducks and that's where the title for today's episode came from it's all about your perspective it's all about anticipation of who you are an and that reminder that if you're trying to be adopting putting a unique cutest dog and yes they are cute don't get me wrong way rainy fluffy and they look amazing but if you know if the duck and you'll try we have to be a duck it's exhausting sickening some ugly they're just not that they inevitably right i sickness even before they become beautiful glorious ones they're still be quite cute and so i wanted to remind you today be interesting how would you and ask you all the areas of your life while you're trying to be a cute little duckling and i wanted to remind you that maybe it's time to stoke i'm not is gonna be the formation of the viking from and i will remind you of it in but that's really what we're thinking about today's i wearing your life and you're trying to be a cute little duckling and i want you to sit with that and of course not reminder we're not doing this on all right i'm so i shed a post on medium a couple of weeks ago and i've lost weakens i'm thinking about it i track of time and it was that it was like an introductory price sharing becomes the first version of this but we it was never intended to be a book about face it was all about you being you which is yes have you but it didn't come at it from a face perspective exactly how sprinkling of golden because i am a test in the face and so you know you bring aspects of the person that you are into the stuffy create but it wasn't a fake book however well you are listening today and if you're going to be in the future what you will hold in your hand just very cleanly a faith based book becomes the janney the ice be non passionately at this realization that could originally they me the conclusion i came to see the best way for a hockey contention life is used to be but it's more than that and the journey i've been on his that she's not even my it's actually about living slot by in the center of god's will and you being you you've been not sickness mom like you know like you're being the frog robin the you being whoever is your may be is actually the secrets of us not seek i quit trend is the secret to you living stop buying in the center of god's will i will talk about this more in the coming weeks but there's nichols the you get deep inside this is definitely been my experience and i talked about this is that experience to that there is something that you are called to do you have your esta movement on whatever that thing is that you are quote to be an and whatever they're very specific thing or series of things i believe however if you could show up every single day folks the talk because not being the past and he made you to be you already stopped buying innocent and hayes wealthy online and so it's time for some getting so hung up on specifics and they they do jazz oh i don't know however i also know that god wants to be in relationship with you i'm some every single episode as i put these these these writing excited he's writing prompts to you i want to encourage you would remind you that you're not doing this on your right i would encourage you i i started this practice of having one calling a business meeting with got a stock of the day i say you could make yourself a cup of coffee and sit with him on and i can help you with this because he knows you betcha then you know yourselves which which is kind of like you you think oh man rainy but yes you know he made you to be here and he may even before we talked about this last week you know before you ever twinkling you'll mother or father die he knew you would be here this may be listening this episode right now what do you wanna remind you and i suspect they swept me the first time i remind you but as we said self stop the new week 'em i do wanna remind you all of these exercises don't do the monuments if you don't show ask god saint grab yourself you're favorite drink and the writing implement it just stick with it well maybe she liked to be outside if you don't package you so that would walk the dogs and ask came there shamed me wearing my life and my trying to be a little keep duckling go and see what comes up and sometimes when i talked to for you is way you feel resistance is way you need to pay attention because these things but we feel resistance around or if he conceded his self making king excuses i would encourage you to project a little bit more we talked last week about you know traditional marketing they wanna project the pain points not by that but what i will say is the way you feel resistance usually means there what that ultimately gardeners johann he knows it you are doing this from a good place i said there is no judgment there is no fear there's no fear in love you know were told that and say you're wt come up they replace if oh no i've gotta get out says oh no don't give me a hard time not this is ready comet they and this is all about the language is well and we will do in episode on this again but be very aware of is one of the language that you used as you as you approach and conditions replacing an experiment betterment a chance and opportunity to grow and find out more about who you are the person that called me to be a wet in my life and my trying to be cute it to me and see what comes up and if you are a member of the faith in business playground or an already and you're gonna come and join us dj show comes up to you and if you have any questions or any pushback any comments because i i wanna help you and support you as you go through this process and quite candidly it will help me as and make.
