The coalition against Gun Violence is bringing guns to polls is irresponsible, but law enforcement says we do have an open carry law and we do have a concealed carry laws. Once you got a permit. Brian Moran, Virginia's secretary of public safety and homeland security guns at schools anywhere in Virginia is illegal. They're also illegal in government buildings in Arlington County, Alexandria, Fairfax County Falls Church, Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia Citizens Defense League on its website is promoting the event. But warning members to know the law and Moran issues his own polite warning. Beware those laws and have a pleasant safe experience. J. "Hard to believe all these people are dead. Prince. Oh, Michael Jackson. I grew up with it is true. It's very sad. Because they'd only be like in their fifties. I think Michael Jackson died when he was fifty. That's right. I think he had turned fifty. Yeah. It's crazy. Anyway, just completely depress. Our audience. Okay. Oh, man. So the green deal green deal the green new deal as it were FDR rolling over in his grave because it's come back with a price tag lease. I don't know if you've heard about this expensive. You say that like you're about to go have dinner at Briscoe. We're gonna drop to fifty there. That's expensive. No, it's it's much much more believing. Apparently, this thing is going to cost ninety three trillion dollars. And I think sometimes when we talk about numbers in general in news or on shows like this almost like people are numb by it. Like, okay. Ninety three trillion ninety three billion one hundred and fifty million like what difference? Does it make right? What what is it really really cost to me? So they broke it down. And it turns out that the green new deal would cost three hundred and thirty eight thousand dollars per person. Per purse. So then you gotta figure you gotta earn probably more than a half mil to make that 'cause you're gonna pay tax the taxes. Yeah. Six hundred thou- will call it. And then that pays for, and that's when people say, well, yeah. But it's the idea of it. That's the good thing. And it's providing a broad scheduled for people to be aspirational towards and so on, and that's the problem that these numbers, obviously are not things that are in that are based in reality. So then you have the crowd. This is what we got to start somewhere. Let's start somewhere. Right. And is that six hundred over a lifetime doesn't mean it doesn't mean when one was fell swoop? It doesn't mean. Okay. Write a check for six hundred now means over a lifetime, right? Six hundred thousand per household. The study says it doesn't say, okay. So let's say I make fifty thousand a year. So then that means that I would have to work twelve years before taxes than just to pay for this. Which means I'd have to work twenty years to pay for it. So even if it is spread out over time. That's something that I know. I I I hear you. Yeah. But okay, then the could be the retort is better that than getting all your grandchildren. Do not have a. New York City to New York City, we swim and you'll be swimming in New York City in fifty or sixty seventy years. Wow. That's profound. Yeah. You should run for office now. No, thank you. You should pay six hundred thousand dollars over twenty six hundred now thanks over twenty years. If you want New York to still be around because there having been predictions going back to the seventies that we'd be under water by now. So here's what I have to say lease finished. Me to return to retorts. He tore down the I'm going to give this to another jail for sending a record for jobs calling the show apparently, and he's calling from Williamsburg Virginia. Because we're big in Virginia Lee says, you know, and he wants to talk about what's going on with Amazon in northern Virginia. Go ahead. Well, first and foremost, I'm a little hesitant about the Amazon appeal now because they're giving tax breaks to them. But because I think that they ought to give tax breaks to all businesses here in Virginia notches warned it's coming here. Because anybody who's educated in economics knows that it's not the corporations that pay the taxes more of the small business. It's the people who consume things from those companies that pay the taxes. So you drive down the taxes the corporations pay you ultimately drive down the price of the product that you're purchasing now, your current governor, Joe is governor Northam somehow he he's still in office, which is remarkable to me as as your Lieutenant governor. And he proposed a one point two billion dollar tax hike instead of a tax cuts. So he doesn't seem to be on. The whole offer up tax incentives thing. No, no, he's not. And again, he and your occasional cortex up there and all of these progressive fascists in the country. All have one thing in common. I'm a big fan of mine. Ron and people really need to read the fountainhead. And then read out the shrug because ultimately, there are three kinds of Iran had it, right? There are three types of people in this world, Moocher's looters and producers, my governor and your ACO or whatever they call you. Call her all leaders, they take by force tower. The moocher is the person who Alexa, people like these they cry and want money from people who produce, and then it is we who produce that create value for money. The thing that escapes occasional cortex, and my governor the governor black safe. They need to realize that money has to be made before it could be looted for mooched. Something has to be done. Either a good or service or some type of commodity like gold has to be there to back up. I keep hearing these people talking about wanting to print money printing money will put us right back to look at what happened to the Republican Germany avenue. World warn you. And there's nothing to back it up. It becomes workless Lisa's from Denmark. Aren't you? Denmark, germany. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. But the point is near Germany has figured it'd be able to speak to this Joe. So I'll make you a reporter real quick as far as any real opposition to Amazon and Virginia is that really happening right now, we have vic- one fringe group. They are. But are there any politicians that have been outspoken about Amazon coming? They're not in the least since only since you have to understand something. It is the the used to be the five richest counties in the world were those in Silicon Valley the five or I'm sorry. Five richest counties in the United States silicone valley today. They are the five counties in Virginia and Maryland that surround DC they were never affected and actually they have the population of that area. Arlington alexandria. Fairfax county Falls Church in those places like that loud and county have turned our speed blew it is because of them and the overwhelming number of people that live up there and have suckled from the seat of government that their federal government in DC that have turned to state blew the rest of us are as ready to be down here. The conservative. You know, people who understand where things are we are. We are like you guys in the city the rest of New York state is chained to the city. Just like we were changed northern Virginia. Now, are you aware of this for us not Amazon coalition? Fortunately, we lost. Yo. But I'm sure he isn't. Yeah. I I never heard him before. Yeah. Not that. I don't exactly live in Virginia. But. Lived in Maryland. Once the the point is, I think Amazon's gonna be fine down in that neck of the woods. So we'll have to see. Yes. Anyway. Have you heard about this Bronx teacher, by the way voted into the top ten? It's not in the state. In the wood. I mean, that's amazing. Pretty amazing. Yes. And she could win one million dollars. If she wins this global teacher prize. She does it's amazing. How do you become? I I wonder how the voting like. In other words, I'm sure that your students probably all write letters and say that she's great and everything I would be a good teacher because I filling there wouldn't be a lot of homework, right? Right out. Right. I'd be like the Bradley Cooper character. And and the hangover you it just play a little music things all the time. But she's going to head to Dubai in in March for a big ceremony. Really? Yeah. Geez. It's very exciting. Pain. Isn't it? You got to go all the way to buy for that. I'm sure they're paying for. I know. But that's a long flight. I'm sure she's very excited. He's one of ten thousand teachers from thirty nine counties who applied for the prize. All right. And she says, I'm educating these kids for the future. I want to leave my classroom with so much pride in their heart. And the mindset that nothing is impossible. In fact, thirty years before she arrived in two thousand ten there was no music program at PS forty eight. And now, she obviously has changed that she's into music education. She wants every student every school to have music education because that is that is a future. I believe Whitney Houston said that that she believes the children is our future. Well, let them lead the way they show them all the beauty that they have inside give them a sense of pride cuts again. There was no music program when she showed up no music program. And now she's one of the best teachers in the world. That's great. That's got to be a moral victory. Kudos to her in a mill. That's not bad. That'd be after taxes. She could afford to pay for the Greenville over twenty years. Congratulations to her. Congratulations. Anyway, when we come back, we speak to an ABC news correspondent. Aaron katersky. I was building anticipation because Aaron is that good. A report of what we talked about. We talked about Michael Cohen. That's right. Disbarred guess, but will his testimony really move the needle one way or another? In regard, the President Trump. That's next on seven ten W O R. I'm Michael Riedel..
