"The East Room, the president states along with Attorney General William Barr announced the rollout an expansion of Operation legend. Sending federal law enforcement to certain cities that need health stopping violent fried. Is that a good idea you on board with that we'll give you the latest will let you know what the president had to stay with. The attorney general had to say, and by the way, why it's called Operation Legend. It's actually a pretty amazing story will give you all of that coming up in a bit. One thing that is obvious from anyone watching the crime in the streets and the demonstrations and the riots and the calls for weak kneed elected officials, many of whom are acquiescing to these demands to defund the police. It's obvious to anyone paying attention that law enforcement Is under attack by the political left in this country, and it's not just now. I mean, look at how they treated ice agents for the last three years. Well, actually, frankly, they were pretty angry at ice agents, even under Barack Obama. They just hate the idea of enforcing laws that they don't like. So what do they do instead of change the laws? They start degrading the men and women who wear the badge and enforce those laws. Well, enough is enough. We've been talking about this and I have been asking. What can we do just to show our support for our cops, and one thing we can do is attend Rallies. There's one today Old Town square, Fairfax City, 6 30 PM Fairfax City residents are going to show their support for law enforcement with a back the blue Rally, and the keynote speaker at that event will be Tom Homan, former acting director of ice and a cop himself for over three decades. He joins us now Officer home and thanks for joining us, sir. I appreciate it. And I overstating the case. Is there war on cops right now in this country? This country's so upside down right now, So it's like the good guys won out there enforce law. All of a sudden, they're the bad guys and the ones that commit the crimes and break the law to the victims. It's just incredible. The attack, you know, like you said You had it right. You hit it right on the head When you said that started with attack a nice polish size of bolus ice now abolished. Police defund, please. It's just ridiculous with people want a system of no consequence known terrorist, no accountability and sent you can sustain that. We see what have to important already with that, Yeah, when when we come out and we give a ride, You know, we never get the attention when we come out for a rally. I did a back the blue rally in Manassas a couple of weeks ago, when there were a couple of 100 people that showed up several 100 but the cameras aren't there. The media doesn't focus on that. The media doesn't focus on the American public who support law enforcement across the board when we do this sort of thing. Tom Homan. Does it make a difference to the cops? Absolutely. Makes a difference. Like I've done several We back to Blue D. C went up. Ah, Vania doing one tonight. And first a lot of people were they don't draw. The biggest crowds could draw because I got a lot of people show Pretorius number one. They're afraid of violence from the left. You know, the last thing the orchestra out there, they think it's OK to protest and they think it's OK to riot. They have the right to do that. They have the right to spit on. Cops have the right to tear down statues that put church is on fire. But the other side We don't have the right to say anything. We don't have the right to gather in peacefully, You know, support police. A lot of people are afraid of the violence that may show up to these dimensions. Second, I got called by a few teachers and a few other professional says I'm afraid to go out there marks for the police. Just I'll be right there. Labeled racist isn't a sad day in United States when just supporting cops makes your racist. It's just terrible, and I know it's like anybody. I had 80 protesters and from my house on a Sunday morning, call me a racist or not. I know what it feels like. We can't be the silent majority anymore. We gotta speak up. We've got to show these events. We've got to show the police that the majority of Americans, the taxpayers, the ones actually paying taxes. We love the cops. We need the cops. If you're bad cops, other will deal with them. 1 1998% of these men and women that do it for the right reasons. Well, and you could be out there showing your support tonight, 6:30 p.m. So you got two of them, giving you over an hour's notice. Old Times Square and Fairfax, and we reached out to the organizer's before you came on here, Tom Holman, and they believed that this storm is gonna blow over in time for this event. So head on out there when you see, the president today announced this operation legend where federal law enforcement support from Justice Department going to cities like Kansas City and Chicago in Albuquerque. I got to tell you. Part of me thinks you know what Chicago doesn't want them there. Chicago has the city They deserve right now, And the only thing that's going to make a difference is that people finally stand up and vote thes people out. But at the same time, I want to support the cops in Chicago. But my God, why should why should a Why should my tax dollars go to help support Chicago's mess that they've created? You know, I get it and I'm not invited on issue, but we also got to understand There's a lot of victims of crime out there that need help. You know that there is their mayor won't let the police do a lot of things. I should be doing this as a New York City, right. There's a lot of people who don't like the blinds. You don't like the fact he's defunding the police farmer there. They're victims of crime in and look for help, And that's one thing about this president. I don't care. It's realize my love. He's doing the right thing He's taken. His number one responds, really protect American seriously, if the city's don't want to do it. If the governors and mayors don't want to do it, he's gonna step in and do it. And and a and a plan for what we have. We have a really tough It's not a tough decision. This important decision November, I think November is the most important election in my lifetime. We have two complete opposites coming. You know, we had a president Trump on order president. The guy that believes in our sovereignty leaves in a secure border, which has done a great job, not 85% decrease. Then we got Joe Biden. Who wants open borders. You want to end all deportations, and he's not support the cops, The police unions and police organization already behind Trump..

W. parkway no reported delays to seventy quiet fifty across the bay bridge and getting through but we had a nap was very quiet we're still doing two way traffic untested bay bridge on route fifty two and from the shore ICC Maryland route two hundred all traffic westbound diverted Lee hill road to get around the weekend long work zone Colesville road to Silver Spring right by Silver Spring metro both directions between Wayne Avenue and for ten all lanes blocked for the weekend to work so involving the purple line Ian Crawford WTOP traffic a cold start to the weekend but a nice recovery on tap later on this Saturday starting in the teens to the middle twenties but by the afternoon low to mid fifties.

"Sixty six westbound from the beltway towards Centerville Messi Messi Messi as you get to one twenty three jammed up tight and single right gets by the works on the works of itself is closer to exit fifty seven for route fifty in fair oaks it's overhead work and so it's very delicate so you're squeezing the ride single file the point is you are basically jab at one twenty three and we're trying to get from point a to point B. in a hurry you will want to use fifty instead take that through Fairfax city and then back up to sixty six rejoined the westbound freeway there and you're back in the clear eastbound not affected no delays sided so far and that really is the only fly in the ointment in the sovereign Commonwealth ninety five and three ninety five no reported delays as far south as Fredericksburg now the direction and the beltway is quiet in Virginia getting quieter in Maryland as we check the outer loop the crash on the ramp from the westbound university Boulevard to the outer loop believe that has been cleared I believe the ramp is once you get back at your disposal and no other issues exist on the beltway in Montgomery and prince George's counties on ninety five and in the Baltimore Washington parkway no reported delays we still have the work on route two hundred the intercounty connector east bound all traffic being diverted at les hill road exit ten and you are going to be in a diversion Upali hill road to nor back road east on nor back road then backs outside New Hampshire Avenue to get around this work so he will not clear until about five o'clock Monday morning in Silver Spring still with the water main break repaired the water meters been repaired but I believe we're still doing the road work eastbound between Heidi branch road in Carol avenues we may still have some lanes blocked as a result disturbed ending road west bound the crash was after east capitol street after forty second street near fortieth street before Minnesota Avenue and at last report all lanes were stocked Ian Crawford WTOP traffic showers will diminish as we had the night with partial clearing toward dawn overnight lows in the thirties tomorrow on your soup verbal Sunday and groundhog.
